We wanted to visit here because of the Gregorian Chants. It’s posted all over the Internet that monks chanting daily. I contacted Abby to ask day/time we could see the monks chanting. They said that there are no longer monks chanting. See photo of out conversation below. It looks like a pretty spot. But we won’t be visiting because the Gregorian chants were the main reason we wanted to go there.

Lovely abbey in a very scenic location. There is an info station in the church that will teach you about the history for 2€. There is also a pharmacy at the abbey which sells herbal sweets, creams, alcohol, etc.

Gorgeous. The abbey and the countryside around it are beautiful. Highly recommend getting the audio guide and walking around- not sure who narrates in English, but in Italian one of the brothers does the narration and it's very interesting. Also the gift shop is great. Just be aware there might not be a working bathroom - stop at a bar in the town first if you're in need.

We stopped here on a wine tour. A nice change up from some of the more opulent churches. This is worth a stop for the beautiful countryside and more humble interior

Truly beautiful Abbey. The electronic self guide is 7€ but we’ll worth the money. The view from the to of the Abbey is amazing. The shop is lovely too. We’ll worth an hour or two of your time for some valuable peace and tranquillity.

Unusually, this abbey is at the bottom of a valley instead of the top of a hill. Was built through pilgrim donations and a medicinal garden has been created behind the abbey. Toilet facilities are available for 50 cents, but don't ask for soap to wash your hands, the signora that looks after the little shop is extremely aggressive.

A quiet reprieve (so long as no tour buses are about) in a secluded piece of countryside just outside a walled village. A peaceful place to spend a few pensive moments.

The Abbey, a jewel of medieval mysticism. It is one of the most beautiful monuments in an ancient Roman style, which also has elements of the French and Lombardy styles. Legend has it that the abbey was founded by Charles the Great in 781. The king and his army stopped here on the way back from Rome as the soldiers were afflicted by an unknown pestilence. An angel appeared to Charlemagne, telling him to make his men drink an infusion with a local herb. The cure worked and the army was saved so the king decided to build the church in gratitude.

The abbey was extremely powerful in the past, as it controlled the route from northern Europe to Rome. It is now open for visits, there is a very interesting pharmacy, as well as the church itself, Interesting to see.

Definitely the most beautiful abbey in Italy! We've come here for at least 20 years. In the beginning there were almost no tourists. Now the way down is paved, paid parking and there even is a shop at the top of the hill..... But still it's the most beautiful abbey of Italy :-) Try to stay for a service when you're here.

He is super knowledgeable about wines and gave listened to what we liked and didn’t like in detail, and introduced us to some new ones that we thoroughly enjoyed. This spot also has some incredible food to enjoy while wine tasting, they know how to do it right!

The coolest wine store I've been in across five continents - seriously. I can't speak to it having (or not having) the absolute best price or selection because we didn't visit any other shops in the immediate vicinity. We ordered 6 bottles in person and the correct bottles all arrived to us in impeccable condition after the international shipment. I definitely recommend checking out this place if you're perusing through Tuscany.

Lovely winery and some great wines. We thought 40€ pp for a tour and tasting was a bit steep. Especially considering we have done other Brunello tours and tastings that were free. We might have considered a different experience if anything on the website indicated the cost. Yes, our fault for not asking and definitely a lesson learned.

Long overdue review of a visit in late April 2023. Coordinated a tour over email for a late morning visit. Wonderful tour of cellar and grounds with an amazing guide which lead to a tasting in their tasting room (which we had all to ourselves). Wines were spectacular. Afterwards we bought some more glasses to hang out on the lawn overlooking the valley below and finished our visit to place an order for 12 bottles to be shipped back to the U.S. Very easy ordering both bottles and shipping which arrived safely in California a month later.

Great tour guide, exceptional wine and beautiful views. We've been to Italy twice and toured a number of wineries and loved this one because it's not one of the larger more commercialized wineries.

Nice winery, nice tour. The wines are good, but not outstanding in my opinion. The guide was very friendly, and we had a great detailed discussion about the production.

The setting of this winery is epic, I highly recommend a visit. We had an amazing host who walked us through the wine and olive oil and history of the property. The only negative is that for us the prices per bottle + shipping didn’t justify a purchase to send home. The prices of most of the bottles on offer were higher than back home for the same bottle before the $70 shipping per six.

This is a must visit producer. The wines are elegant and aromatically complex. The pianarosa is especially good and 2019 is a great vintage for collectors. Shanel was the best host we have had in italy . She is extremely knowledgeable and did a fantastic job explaining the winemaking process and the history of the winery.

Great winery with delicious wines and a modern clean space. Staff very accommodative as we did not pre book but they fit us in. Service was helpful and educational.

The tour here was good, not great. I was kind of expecting to tour the castle, but you actually tour the more modern winery down the road. The real star here is the restaurant. We got the tour + lunch, and lunch was amazing. Great multi-course tasting menu with wine pairing. This was one of the best meals we had in Italy. My kids loved it too. They pour a lot of wine at lunch. I was expecting a tasting but this was more like 5 full glasses. And the wine is quite good. The service at the restaurant was top notch as well. I would come here again in a heartbeat next time I’m in Tuscany.

We did not stay here but we had a wonderful visit to the enoteca! The staff was really helpful and knowledgeable about their wines, really took their time to explain everything and help us pick the wines best suited for our tastes! Thanks

Location, scenery, views, presentation…stunning. 🌟 Breathtaking. Service 👎. Terrible. As in an hour waiting for someone who has already served you to check on you. No communication. Came here for 1st anniversary and were thrilled I’m the beginning but left so disappointed as the potential is never ending. I’d understand if it were busy but there were under 5 people inside. I’d recommend a visit here as location is it all and wines are good but do not expect good service or if you don’t want to be a beggar.

If you are in the region, you can't miss Castelo Banfi. Book a menu degustation and try their wines, including the famous Brunelo and its "younger" brother, the Rosso de Montalcino.

The grounds were beautiful but will not return due to the bad service. The bellboy was transferring our suitcases to our car, and did not realize that we could see him as we were eating breakfast. We watched the bellboy drop my suitcase from the trolley and just let it roll all the way down a hill, hitting a few metal poles before it fell into some bushes. I understand that accidents happen, but to just laugh and stand there letting my suitcase (and all its fragile contents) roll down a massive hill without trying to catch it is unacceptable. My $1000 suitcase came out scratched with a massive dent. When we complained to the front desk, she informed us that the manager is off site and that he will call us to apologize. It’s been a month and we have never received an apology or any compensation. Additionally, the bellboy saw us complaining to the front desk and swore at us in Italian. This is completely unacceptable especially considering the price point of the hotel. Beautiful grounds do not make up for badly trained staff with no respect for guests.

We went on the tour and wine tasting. Not worth the 60 euros. I would just pay to taste the wine at the wine bar.

Fantastic lunch at Castello Banfi. It's a 4-course menu where you'll have a chance to try four wines from the winery. The food was excellent, and the wine was terrific. The Brunello is excellent. Recommend spending an afternoon there where you can have lunch and get to know the nearby winery.

I did not stay here but came for the wine tasting and dinner. We wanted to book the wine tour but unfortunately it was full. Instead we decided to do the reserve wine tasting before dinner. You get four different pours. Lisa was our sommelier and she was amazing. She’s so knowledgeable and a joy to talk to. If the review was just of the wine tasting and Lisa it would have been five stars easily! The dinner was a five course set meal. Dinner started at 7:30 and the the service was very attentive at first but I was surprised how long it was. We didn’t get our dessert until almost 11:00pm based on how the courses came out. Waiters also started disappearing slowly. Food was good but some dishes wasn’t quite there for me.

Old and badly maintained wines served for tasting. No passion nor charisma displayed throughout the tour. We understood Banfi is a money machine, go to Frescobaldi for an unforgettable tasting experience: better prices and way better wine quality. Banfi just cares about the money, would never order their wines.

The Restaurant is a must have experience, a balanced menu coupled with the best wines from the Banfi selection. If you are travelling near Siena and you are passionate about wines, Banfi is a must. Here you can find some of the best Brunello di Montalcino bottles. I did bot try the hotel rooms, so i can't rate them, anyway think about a lunch in the Taverna. P.S. you have to reserve your table Enjoy

Absolutely amazing visit at Castello Banfi Il Borgo. The rooms were beautifully updated rooms in an old Tuscan castle. The room was incredibly spacious, upgraded with modern amenities but kept the Tuscan charm. The property was very private and quiet but with amazing views of Montalcino. Electric bikes were available for free to tour through the vineyards. Free tasting and tour of Banfi is available to all guests. The pool was lovely, heated and with amazing views. The on-site restaurants were great. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. I don't know if I have a single complaint about our stay, except that it wasn't long enough.

Banfi is a great vineyard n Winery! It is one of the larger ones in Italy, roughly about 2800 acres. The tour here is an excellent one and we had an excellent meal here also. The drive in is a very scenic view of just acres and acres of vineyards! I have included some pictures of countryside , perfect views of Tuscany ! Worth a drive over n make sure to take the tour! An amazing old winery crowning a castle that’s probably over a 1000 years old. The castle and the vineyard are very well taken care of and are one of the most beautiful and exquisite in all of Tuscany. A must visit whenever you’re in Tuscany. The food is five stars.

Intimate tour by the owner/operator of his very small winery. Tasty wine, “cold cuts” cheeses and bread . We stayed for dinner which was really delicious- wild boar stew and hand made pasta (tagliatelle) ragù we’re excellent.

Giacomo was an excellent host! He provided our group of 12 with a fabulous overview of his wine making taking questions from us and providing great explanations. Following the wine tasting, we had a delightful luncheon onsite. Of course, we enjoyed the wines and ending up having some shipped to us in the USA. Thank you Giacomo for your gracious hospitality.

Came for wine tasting and learned got to learn about Brunello wines from one of the most passionate farmers in Montalcino. This is not a fancy dress your best experience. The owner/farmer is there himself to describe his art of growing and processing his products. An awesome experience and would highly recommend for anybody interested in Brunello’s. We thoroughly enjoyed his wines and the time we got to spend at the farm.

A very warm en welcoming place. The corkers are very friendly and have a nice ambition for the place. The restaurant was surprisingly good! And even gluten free breakfast at request. The place and nature around it is beautiful!

We had a great stay at Podere Il Cocco. Spontaneously booked a night on our way up to Firenze and enjoyed the night very much. Simple but honest and delicious food, good wines (of course we had to try it all☺️) and interesting talks with the owner/winemaker Giacomo, who also showed us around. Also the room was simple but appropriate, cozy and offers all you need. We definitely recommend Il Cocco if you are looking for a real Agritourismo experience!

We had a great stay at Podere Il Coco,an extremely pleasant family run farm near Montalcino. Stefano is a great host who really made it special for us by introducing us to great Italian food and wine. It's been more than a year but I still remember our stay fondly and think about it often. Can't recommend enough.

Stopped for lunch on our way from Florence to Amalfi. The winery is set on a beautiful hill just south of Montalcino. It felt like a family gathering for lunch. The food was delicious and the wine was wonderful. There we no more than 15 at our table. We walked the winery after lunch, and were even allowed to taste some grapes right off the vine in total privacy. I'll be ordering wine from their website for sure.

I hate to leave bad reviews but we didn’t have a good experience at Fattoria dei Barbi. Arrived for a cellar tour which was interesting but felt rushed and the staff member was not very happy to be there. Afterwards we ordered a tasting for two people (cost €28 per person) however we waited over half an hour after we ordered, without being served at all. Multiple staff members were standing around while only one person was serving one table of Americans, the rest of the tables were being ignored. Eventually we got up and left as it had been 1.5 hours since arriving without any wine tasting or service. No one even commented when we left - felt the staff members were very disengaged and didn’t want to be there. Had a much better tasting experience in Montalcino. P.S there is no view from the tasting room - many other wineries / wine bars in town have amazing views

One of the two oldest wineries in Montalcino, still Italian owned and run; in old school fashion! Apart from the obvious, what got me just as much as the amazing wine was the unbelievable customer service which was 2nd to none from the other houses I visited. Laura, I am shocked and truly grateful for the up and above assistance and service you and your colleagues showed when we showed up last minute. See you next year! Paolo

Disappointing experience. Way too many people on the tour, so it was very impersonal. Tasting also needs to include better information on each of the wines being tasted. The wines are only identified initially when poured and it’s easy to lose track of which glass has which wine after all 4-5 wines are poured and you start tasting them with cheese and meats.

Nice cellar tour. Good wines. Tasting available by the glass. Medium/bigger producer with 66ha of wineyard.

Best experience. Montalcino is full of wineries but if you haven't tried Fattoria dei Barbi you have to. Samuele made us feel like family. This is their way. They keep it real and authentic. The history behind their product is incredible. Very interesting experience.

We came here for a winery tour and tasting - need to ensure to make reservation beforehand. The history and the old collection of wines was quite amazing. Rich history and great wines.

We went for the wine tasting (two of us). They briefly explain the wines when they bring them to the table but then it's close to impossible to remember the names of all of them, same goes for the cheeses. It's a shame as while it's nice to sip on various wines, not knowing what they are really takes away from the experience. There were two that we liked and wanted to buy a few bottles of but as we had no clue what they were, we left empty handed. The wines were decent enough but overall I'd skip the place and go elsewhere. The atmosphere wasn't great and it was very expensive for the amount of cheese and wine they serve. The slices of cheese and the wines in the photos was 68 euro. Overall a poor experience as it felt like the place was trying to do the least it could get away with.

This has been a truly great experience. We were en route to "a trattoria" and I honestly didn't have high expectations but once we got to the place it was like a paradise. The surroundings are truly fascinating and the restaurant has this beautiful old-school atmosphere. It's well kept and spotless clean.

Had a nice lunch here combined with the wine tasting. The food was very delicious, while the wine was just good and classic traditional Brunello.

Reliably delivered - minor "trouble". I originally had ordered 6 different bottles of Brunello di Montalcino. The delivery time was OK, a few days. But after opening the parcel, which was in very good condition, no damage etc, I found only 5 of them. I have asked for sending the missing one. Very quick response by mail from the fattoria, I have received the missing bottle few days later. Thank you for making everything fine!

We didn’t book a tour or winetasting, but just drove by. We were told that normally they only do tastings with an appointment, but that they would make a table for us to taste some wines. We got the first wine, but then we were forgotten, even though the sommeliers had eye on our table the entire time. When they noticed us again we got to taste some more wines, but got much less explanation about the wines than our neighbors tables got. The wines and olive oil were nice though!

They were busy with a large private party when we showed up without a reservation. The owner welcomed us in like family. She sat with us and shared stories about the wine and her family. It was one of the highlights of our trip to Tuscany. It was so great, we joined the wine club. Now we can drink their excellent wine forever. Thank you so much for your beautiful Italian hospitality.

A great visit to Poggio Rubino. Incredibly beautiful cellar with local artwork. Even more beautiful grounds, sitting at a high level with views all the way to the sea. Biggest surprise was our 4 course lunch, which was the one of the best meals of our trip to Tuscany. The wines were also outstanding including a great Brunello and Brut Rose, which we are shipping back to Maryland. A must visit if wine touring in the Brunello area!

This was our favorite stop on our wine tasting tour. Our tour guide was friendly and informative. The food during the tasting was excellent, and the views were spectacular. We were offered plenty of wine and never felt pushed to buy anything (though we did, great Rosso and Brunello!)

My family and I were very well welcomed at the Poggio Rubino winery on December 21, 2023. I am the only one in our group of 9 people who speaks English, and none of us speak Italian. We preferred to do the tasting in Italian when Martina, who attended us very kindly, proposed to speak Italian slowly. As we are Brazilians, Portuguese and Italian have their similarities so we understood almost everything. We had made the reservation 2 weeks before and couldn't be happier with our choice. We will definitely return on our next visit to Montalcino and have already recommended it to friends who are planning their visit.

You won't find many bad review here. This place was great and we had a wonderful time. Breathtaking views. thank you. We will enjoy all the Wine and Olive oil we bought.

This was a truly awesome experience! We made reservations a few days in advance and it turned out to be the highlight of our day in Montalcino. Once we arrived we were given a short history lesson while we took in the amazing view. Tiziana was our guide for the afternoon and she did a great job answering all of our questions and explaining everything. Next we entered the cellar and we learned about the production techniques and different choices that winemakers can make throughout the process. She also explained the certification and standards for the wines. After the tour we went up to the lovely dining room and enjoyed a wine tasting paired with a delicious lunch. We tried 4 wines and had a simple meal of salumi and cheeses, panzanella, homemade pasta, and a small cake with the most delicious strawberry sauce imaginable. They even offered grappa and dessert wine after! Throughout the whole process, the owners were present and friendly, especially the one who runs the show...a cute little dog named Rubino. We spent 3 hours here, did not want to leave, and ordered a case of the delicious 2012 Brunello di Montalcino...plus a bottle of the 2011 Riserva to take home and enjoy during our trip. Tiziana really made it special by being super friendly and attentive. Not only did we talk about wine but also music, Italian culture, and even the differences between Tuscan dialects and accents! Grazie mille!

Our local guide, Brando, brought us to this beautiful winery that produces remarkable Brunello wines in Montalcino. As a winery that believes in quality over quantity, the love and passion from Andrea, our host and wine maker, and Roberta, the owner, is epitomized in every bottle. We loved every moment of our visit. The delicious lunch, the passionate conversation with Andrea, and of course the delicious wines... This is why we came to the Tuscan countryside for wine tasting.

Not quite the engaging experience I was hoping for. Anna was our host and she spoke with us, asked questions about our country etc. I didn't find the tasting very interactive or special. The salami and bread was okay...just something light to taste in between the wines. Which were okay but the brunella was the best part of the experience and rosé was lovely. The tasting cost was 15 euro per person.

We had the most unbelievable lunch experience here. 3 course meal on a terrace overlooking a valley, got to taste 4 wines + 1 extra one because the hosts were feeling generous. The Brunellos were all fantastic, our hosts were extremely kind, and we left feeling very full and happy. The best winery visit/experience of our trip!

Lots of wines to choose from, but unfortunately at least half were not good (oxidated) - out of season the bottles stayed open for too long. Should be better in season

Wow amazing place to taste wine! You get a card with 100 euro limit and can pick and choose from what feels like a hundred different bottles, all easy to quickly get a tasting from. Could have used some direction on what to taste perhaps, there were too many choices!

We were looking to buy a few bottles of wine at 10pm, and luckily this Enoteca was open! The selection was massive. The owner is very knowledgeable and was lovely to hear interesting information about the wines we were curious about. Very helpful with suggesting wines that we would enjoy. Ended up coming a second time for a wine tasting & repurchasing a bottle that I fell in love with. The store offers shipping to US, and even Russia! Packaged the bottles nicely, survives the long transit back home

This is an excellent wine shop which is the definitive place for reviewing and tasting the varieties of world-renowned Brunello red wine as well as other domestic Italian wines. The staff are knowledgeable, multilingual, and the prices are very fair for the select caliber of wines carried. The sampling service is 21st century xenon dispensary tracked by individual nfc chipped card, and all sample prices were waived when purchasing a 6 bottle case. Heavily discounted international shipping. The view overlooks the Brunello vineyards in the valley below. What a treat--this made my honeymoon!

Not so impressed. Not eager at all to get one to try the wines, very commercially oriented which is fine in itself but not great when one wants to simply have a glass of white before dinner. Also; charge relatively high prices for wines by the glass. Better options around in Montalcino.

My wife and I came in on 27th of April. Really great experience. Excellent customer service, very helpful with the descriptions of multiple wines and found us the perfect bottle. Thank you again for a great experience and all of the Brunello wine knowledge.

This was one of our favorites activities in all of Tuscany! Bianca was a wonderful tour guide - we learned so much about the wine process and she answered our many many questions. The wines were delicious and the views were amazing!

Great spot and differentiating winery offering free drop in tastings. The Riserva and specified selection vintages are also very high quality at a fraction of the price of other wineries. Great service as well. Looking forward to picking up more bottles!

We stopped here on our winery tour and enjoyed all the information our tour guide, Alice, shared with us. She provided in-depth and detailed remarks on the history of the winery and how rigorous the regulations are for a wine to be a Brunello wine. After walking around the vineyard and cellars, we were able to go inside and taste their wines. They provided bread with their olive oil and even provided gluten free bread for me (a celiac). Of course we had to bring a couple bottles home with us as we left!

Simply amazing. This place has superb reviews, and well deserved. Patrizia and her daughters are amazing hosts. We stopped here for an impromptu wine tasting, no reservations, no nothing. Patrizia and her daughters welcomed us, checked all the safety protocols and then sat us for a brilliant tasting of their wines. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. We tried their Rosso Di Montalcino, the Brunello, a unique rose and even the grappa. We also tried their olive oil. Guided tasting is offered in both Italian and English. Thanks Patrizia!!

We were introduced to three different varieties: Brunello di Montalcino, Rosso di Montalcino, Solarianne, and Rosato rosé wine. Each wine had its own unique character and flavor profile, and it was fascinating to learn about the extensive process behind producing these wines. Alice shared her expert knowledge in an easily understandable manner and patiently answered all our questions. The tasting was a true delight for my taste buds. The Brunello di Montalcino wines were full-bodied, complex, and of the highest quality. They struck a fantastic balance between fruity notes and soft tannins, providing a long and pleasurable finish. Rosso di Montalcino was a lighter and fresher wine that still managed to retain its character and authenticity. Solarianne and Rosato rosé wine were both surprisingly delicate and perfect for a warm summer day. After the tasting, I couldn't resist the temptation to purchase a few bottles to take home. The vineyard's wine shop offered a wide selection of their fantastic wines, and it was a true pleasure to have the opportunity to bring some of this expertise home with me. Sunday afternoon and we phoned to see if they could take us for a tasting. 10 minutes later we were there in a bustling tasting room with lots of little groups trying wine. 3 tasting flights available and we opted for the full 6 wines and olive oil. Great welcome and intro from Arriana (one of the 2 family daughters) and really lovely wines. Their Brunello riserva in particular was special and a good price point for a fine wine. Certainly worth a visit and for those concerned about an English speaking host... don't be, they speak great English. Even had a couple come in and get a tour in Portuguese. Impressive for a small operation. Thank you for the lovely visit.

The place is very beautiful and the wine is good, but they charge 50 euros for a so called “tour” + wine tasting which is literally a 15-20 minutes storytelling in the wine cellar and then they take you into a small room to taste 4 different wines. And that’s it. Do not recommend at all!

Wonderful & Informative Wine Tasting (oh, and really nice vino!). I would recommend this 'of the beaten path' and lesser knowing winery without hesitation. Maybe not the best Brunello wine in Montalcino but very good winter and reasonable prices. The tasting was fun and informative even for someone who has done a fair (or a lot) of tasting and knows a bit already. Grounds are beautiful and overall well worth the trip out to taste.

Exquisite winery and villa close to Montalcino! We had a special tour guided by Jessica and it was our first time tasting directly from the barrels. What an experience! I think it was important that they've welcomed us like friends and it made it even better to learn & taste. Tasted really good and aged wines; even had a chance to hit on wine gone bad (because of the cork) and it was really compelling to compare. And they did not let us leave empty handed!

Our experience at Máté Winery was the best we had in Tuscany. Peter was not only a knowledgeable host, but also an engaging conversationalist who spoke with a genuine passion for his work. Candace was helpful setting up a reservation on relatively short notice, and Ferenc’s articles on Travel + Leisure helped us find this and many other worthy Tuscan trips. Thanks again to the Máté family for hosting us and for opening our minds to Merlot - we usually stay away from it in the States, but theirs is unique and well worth a try!

We discovered the estate in a relaxed atmosphere while enjoying a breathtaking view over the Orcia Valley. Different typologies of private Wine tours and Tastings are offered. You will be able to visit the densest vineyard in the world, the Bonsai vineyard. From this vineyard, they produce one of the most exclusive wines. We enjoyed wine-tasting coupled with one of the best Italian meals, made with love and served elegantly.

The structure is marvelously located in the midst of Montalcino’s vineyards and hills. I really loved the tour and wine tasting experience, consisting of 5 wines, spanning from a truly exceptional white wine to their masterpiece: the Brunello. Quite likely the most fascinating winery you'll ever visit. From using the Golden Ratio in their layouts, to planting in unique ways – without spoiling too much, what they're doing here is experimental, and pushing the envelope of wine making in a region that's steeped in strict tradition and processes. The result is generally incredible wines and a fun product all around. Very friendly and highly knowledgeable team working here. I'm excited to see people talking about this winery in years to come!

Wonderful tour and tasting! The host was educated and pleasant. Winery is beautiful & fascinating how they accomplish their organic farming. The tasting room has this incredible dried flower installation that really takes your breath away. Wine is tasty we walked away with a couple cases - 10/10 would recommend.

We had a tasting and luncheon at this winery while on a group trip in April. They were WONDERFUL and such a joy. This was our favorite winery by far all the way down the their methods used. We had some issues with our wine order due to my bank continuously flagging the shipping costs- the representatives I worked with were nothing but patient, kind and understanding. We can not WAIT to order more wine in the future, and especially to return for a more romantic getaway just the two of us

Amazing venue, fantastic wine, and wonderful staff! We had such a great time here for our tour and tasting. Most importantly, we wanted to give a BIG thank you to the amazing staff here. My partner and I were having some car trouble as we were leaving/they were closing for the day, and while we were envisioning being stuck there all night, Sonia and Sofia came to the rescue to make sure we were taken care of (making calls to mechanics and taxis, bringing us water, and even checking on us after!). If you're considering stopping by, just do it! The wine is incredible, the scenery is top notch, and the folks who run the place are wonderful. Note: We only visited for a tour and tasting.

Very poor welcome ans tasting ..we were in the area to taste and buy some Brunello we stopped at the col d orcia shop the man did not welcome us we had to ask to taste we were told we can only taste one (the entry level) I guess the others we should blindly buy them without tasting (75 euros min price ) we were served a drop of wine without any comment. A visit to Col d'Orcia is really worth while. We were greeted by a friendly staff for a tour and later tasting. Our friend, who just moved in from Vento, gave us very good insights into biological and sustainable farming, wine making and how climate change develops new ways of growing grapes. We would highly recommend a visit to Col d'Orcia, excellent wine and excellent tour/tasting/staff.

Lovely wine tour here this morning! Our host was really nice, explained us all the story of the wines and served us the tasting of 4 different wines for 30€. We really liked seeing the cellars and understanding the production method. Our group was late on arrival and they were very accomodating which was very nice. I think it’s important to make a reservation if you want to do the tour.
