Lovely place, I really enjoyed my time back in May. You can have a peaceful walk and enjoy the lake view. There are many shops and stalls around. I went on a train, too - it was cool and not just for kids (you can just pay by card on the train). There are also boats around the lake (different types) for adults as well as kids. You can barely see the water :D so if you're keen to see the beach, there is only sand ;) Update: I am gutted it's been closed, not sure why. I visited early Sep to make the most of the heatwave but there was an event and the pier was closed :(

I had a nice walk on the Southport Pier and seen a beautiful panorama of Southport. Although it was autumn time the sea looked amazing. In summer time there is small tram that travel between the city centre and the pier. The people use this place for walk no matter the weather and is completely free.

A beautiful walk along the restored 19th-century iron walkway with a train if you fancy instead. There is a cafe serving drinks, cakes, sandwiches and sausage rolls. There are vintage penny-operated arcade machines for children or adults who want to relive their youth. It can get quite windy and chilly so wrap up. A lovely nostalgic place to come. Always clean and tidy with well kept toilets. A must see if visiting the North West.

The attraction of Southport pier is that it's entrance is on the Promenade but you cannot actually see the sea from here! This is because Southport has a large, very large marine lake with islands in it and surrounded by gardens. Walking the first part of the pier is like walking over a couple of bridges but it is definitely the Pier. First you pass over part of the lake with sailing boats from Southport Sailing club and hired rowing boats and pedallos. People are walking around the lake underneath the pier. Then you cross over an island in the lake and over the lake again. On this side of the lake you pass over the minature railway line which runs alongside the lake. Then you pass by a skateboard park which you can look down onto. Just after this point you can leave or enter the pier via a set of steps from the road below. Yes the coastal road runs under the pier and this is like a second promenade, but with actual sea views! Land around here was redeveloped in the 1980s and now there is a retail complex, a hotel, cinema and restaurants, all next to the pier. It is unlike any other pier in the country! Once the pier passes over the coastal road you are finally above sand. And the rest of your walk may be all above sand because the tide at Southport goes out a very long way. The end of the pier isn't that impressive compared to some piers but there is a nice modern restaurant, some amusements and the penny slot machine museum which is interesting. So Southport pier, oh! did I not mention the train? Many years ago, Southport pier had a minature train on rails, then that got replaced with a road train. In the 1980s the pier underwent some cosmetic improvements which saw the criss crossing light poles installed and the new restaurant too. In the 90s, a new tram was installed which was really nice but for some reason it was taken away and Southport pier is left with a small road train once again. So Southport pier, it's different!

A really nice place to visit. We walked the full length of the Pier and back again, we didn't get the little train as my son didn't want to go on it as he just wanted to run around. You can see Blackpool Tower from the end of the Pier. It has a lovly town centre a few minutes walk away...

Second longest pier in the UK and oldest metal pier. There are the rare occasions you actually get to have sea under you on the pier but that’s normally when the spring / autumn tides are in full flow. There are a number of shops on the pier selling food and drinks. Our favourite is the donut shop. Always hot and fresh. At the end of the pier is a cafe and an old penny arcade. Great views to be had over the estuary and Southport seafront. All in all a great asset to Southport. Not to be missed.

It is a beautiful place to visit, with many nice spots to sit and enjoy the sun. Right now there's a drought going on, and you couldn't even see the water, but still we got a nice breeze walking around.

Beautiful day out. Plenty of places to eat. Lovely town. Free parking for disabled blue badge. Pretty shops well worth investigating. Very friendly local people. Will certainly be going back. On the pier there were free loos.

Great view of the coastline. Great old fashioned arcade. Toilets are well maintained, credit to the great staff around the place. We caught the "train" to the end and walked back. The kids loved it!

A great seaside place to go. Lovely walk on the pier Fresh air and a little bit windy. There doughnuts, ice-cream,mini train and cafe near the end of the pier and a beautiful view of course.

Very busy on weekends/ school holidays so be prepared to que for your fish n chips, rides etc. Fantastic views on the lengthy promenade with ample places to stop for a rest & refreshments. We loved the Penny arcade train ride. It took us right the way along the promenade & only cost a couple of quid return. Quit clean & tidy considering most of the bins were full to the brim. Huge thumbs up to all the staff working their socks off to please the crowds 👍

A busy but fun place to take the family. The beautiful Pier had a small train that will take you out and back should you get tired. There's food and an arcade at the end of the Pier to enjoy as you sit and watch the waves. Even enjoyable to visit during the winter.

Had a lovely day out at Southport , walked right to the end of the pier, nice walk with lots to see. Definitely recommend the walk down. You can even jump on the land train that will take you there and back if you require.

The pier is a nice little walk, but it was low tide, even at the bottom of the pier there still wasn't water... The coffee shop/bar at the end of the pier was very expensive £5.30 for a packaged cupcake & a small Americano... The sandwiches were in cheap white baps & white bread, very disappointing... The amusement centre had nowhere to take out cash/atm so I couldn't try any of the slots or fortune telling machines, which looked fun. One of the toilets was broken and so manky with ladies things etc 🤢 went back over an hour later before I left and that one toilet was still the same!on the positive side its a lovely walk and there's plenty of seating around and on a day where the tide isn't so low, it must be absolutely beautiful.

£24 for a wrist band. Unlimited rides. Great value. Queues weren’t big, the most we waited was 5 mins. Rides for all ages, couple of roller coasters, dodgems, swings, etc. Parking available next to the site. Good sweet shop. Fish and chip shop was good too. All staff very friendly

Fantastic Day out for all the family, so much fun . Some incredible new rides too. Lots of food , gifts , very vibrant place. Great music, friendly staff and best of all dogs welcome too.

Absolutely fantastic for a family day out much quieter than blackpool pleasure Beach, and it's smaller too . Kids loved it Only downer was tickets was alot but it was Easter weekend. And if you want fun you gotta pay for it . Very clean friendly staff too 👌

Initially the prices were a shock and a little unfair especially for children who maybe experiencing rides for the first time and not sure £15 is a lot to lose, Pleasureland should consider a single ride fare so children can try. That said £29 for a wristband for our grandson was money well spent, staff were very safety conscious which was great to see. Lots of variety and plenty of food/ drink outlets.

I’ve just got home from a brilliant day at Southport Pleasureland. Even though we had some rain in the morning it didn’t dampen our spirits and it certainly didn’t dampen the spirit of the staff. It was such a lovely positive atmosphere which made us all want to return again next weekend. We really did have a wonderful day! It is great value for money especially if you have children with a big age gap. We had the most gorgeous food at the diner and we loved the he fudge stall. They really do cater for all tastes and all ages.

Booked in Advance, plenty of rides for 3 hours plus, plenty of food snacks, all rides free when you have Paid, great day out would recommend.

Great day out, staff really friendly,plenty of rides for all ages. On site bar, plenty of places to eat too. Currently you have to precooked online at £24.50 per rider and £8 per none rider. Once you're in most rides are included in the fee. Not cheap for a family buy a great day out at a spotlessly clean fair

Loved the whole day here and grandson lived all the rides most rides are 1.2 and under or accompanied riders with an adult . People who don't want to ride is OK because you only buy wristbands to ride and get them cheaper if you buy online before you travel

We visit this place every year and it never fails to entertain and impress. It improves in every season in some way. It is clean, tidy, the staff are presentable and friendly. New rides appear each year and a new area of the park is due for opening soon which will add even more attractions to the venue. It always has a great family atmosphere and there are usually online offers available to make it more wallet friendly - which is always good for families. We particularly enjoyed the fact they have opened up the park so non-riders can walk round the park with their friends / family without having to pay an entrance fee. Norman Wallis should be proud of his park and team for their efforts.

Great day out, scorching day in the sunshine 🌞. Cost £27 per ticket, all 1.2 meter and above, booked the night before. Parking on site is £8 booked in advance or £10 on the day, we parked in town for £6.50 for 12 hours or it's £8.50 for 24 hours. Short walk 5-10 minutes and that's at the kids pace. The park isn't big, but there are plenty of funfair rides for all ages. Arrive and head to the centre of the park to get your wristbands, children under 10 are offered a sticker which states if I'm lost please call and a space to write your mobile number (great idea) luckily we never had to use this but it's a really simple yet effective solution. Off we went around the park. Kids went on so many rides, slides, fun house, play park and they said it was better than Gulliver's world (less queues). It became very busy in the afternoon but queues were still only 1-2 ride wait so not bad. You can walk through the park free and there are plenty of food trucks, cafes and drinks areas, also loads of seats and picnic tables. Well worth a visit 🎢🎠⛲

Unfortunately it's just not what it use to be. At one point in time Pleasureland had a very good selection of rides and attractions, a lot of the rides would have been permanent and not so much typical fair ground rides. Sadly, as of the past few years the park has declined massively. It's more of a fun fair now than anything with the majority of rides barely operating during the peak season due to the constant need for matinace. It's sad to see what it use to be compared to now. I do honesty think despite this that if you are in the area or nearby that you should check it out but I wouldn't travel from far away to come here. It's really a bit of a let down to do that. I just hope that they receive more funding soon and hopefully return it to what it once was.

Was staying in Southport over the weekend so my wife and I payed a visit to Southport Pleasureland and was surprised to see it was free to gain entry and didn't have to pay to get in unlike Blackpool where you do have to pay to get in . Lots of rides for children and for the Adults lot of old fashioned games like - hook a duck - get 4 darts in the yellow to win prize - picnic areas dotted around so you can stop and have lunch. Or kiosks serving hot food along with ice cream vans . unfortunately the Pleasureland miniature railway was not in use so was a bit of a shame . but overall worth a visit .

We visited for a day out during the Easter holidays and was dissapointed. When we went last year it was brilliant, non riders could freely roam around and watch their loved ones enjoying themselves, not anymore, non riders still have to pay a £24.99 fee to enter the same as riders, they are a fun fair not a theme park, the place does not warrant a non rider fee at all. The food is awful (cheesy chips was a cheese slice thrown on top of a portion of chips), the staff were all miserable and looked bored stiff apart from only 3 staff members. 2 of the bigger rides were also closed, there was only a couple of decent rides for us bigger riders.

Absolutely shocking experience!!! After Travelling over 2 hours to come to Southport PleasureLand today with my 3 children we will not be returning! Purchased my children's fair passes online as we always do to arrive at a box office at the entrance to the park stating myself and wife need to purchase wristbands at £29 each just to enter the park even though it's just our kids going on the rides. Staff very rude no help at all just after the money!!! This isn't going to work and I assure there's going to be many more negative feedback over the coming weeks due to this! AVOID! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY

Far to expensive didn't go in I was going to take my toddler on a few rides. It now you have to pay 25 a head to enter (he would of been free but it would of been 50 for us all to enter and go on only a couple of rides. They've now lost a customer very disappointed. They are obviously just trying to up the minimum spend of everyone and this new pricing structure is not viable to all age groups of children and accompanying adults. Shame really because it was brilliant last year.

Went to the lunchtime classical concert along with elderly disabled parents. Excellent access and parking for those with mobility issues or visual impairment. We had to wait a while before the studio opened and it would have been useful for there to have been a few more chairs available on that level. The room was well laid out for those with mobility issues and an informal relaxed format for the music,

The Atkinson is wonderful - constantly changing exhibitions. The art gallery is very inspiring. We also saw the incredible lancaster aeroplane sculpture and other related artwork which had to be seen to be believed. There is a full programme of lectures and talks - something for everyone - even children. Great museum. Also a lovely cafe which was quite cheap. Also had a nice vibe about it. Apart from a few evening lectures it's all free....

Visited today to see the 'Grew up in the 80s' exhibition. Really enjoyed it, nice little nostalgia trip. Had tea and cake too at the cafe. I do like the Atkinson, wish there was somewhere like it where I live!

My first time at The Atkinson and it is such a lovely venue. The bar was a little expensive, considering I had a rum and coke and a family pack of revels for about £8 (and yet I paid £9 at RA Bar for two spirits and mixer). I went to see Mike Leigh's 'Abigail's Party' and although it had some witty moments, it really wasn't my cuppa tea - I prefer a play with a plot or a twist. I will visit this theatre again someday...perhaps I'll make do with an ice-cream instead. 😄

Stunning sculptured paper display in the Exhibition area. Such talent cumulating in a cardboard replica of a Lancaster Bomber cabin and fuselage. Brilliant and moving. Go now before the exhibition ends.

Went to watch aladin the first night and what an amazing show. So up close and personal. everyone had a fantastic time. Reasonably priced. One of the best pantos I've been to. Well done everyone. 🥰

Went to see Hue and Cry, great gig, great little theatre, great night. Been to this theatre twice now would highly recommend having a look to see what's on, well worth a visit

Visited the polar photography exhibition today. A beautifully layed out exhibition area, small by National standards, but perfectly formed! An engaging and calm environment for an important display of photographs. The gallery has a lovely selection of artwork, again the designers do a wonderful job. Definitely a hidden gem.

Brilliant little venue! Saw the UK Rock Show and had an absolute ball. Air guitars could be seen everywhere! Staff very helpful and friendly. Even the drinks weren't a rip off! Will looking at this venue again hopefully again very soon! Loved this place!

My family and I had a lovely evening watching Jack In The Beanstalk. It was one of the best pantomines we have seen. Very funny!! The Atkinson staff were extremely welcoming and friendly, especially with my young grandaughters. Happy New Year

Our first visit to The Atkinson was to see the SONG production of Les Miserables on 12th April. We were greeted by very friendly and welcoming staff who directed us to our seats and the bar staff were extremely efficient when serving and keeping the queue manageable. The production of Les Mis was absolutely fantastic, so all in all, a really great night out

Wonderful experience for us and our 2 granddaughters! We enjoyed the panto Jack and the Beanstalk. Beautiful theatre, brilliant atmosphere and good value for money. Already booked Irish Annie’s for my husband and I in March.This was our first visit to the Atkinson (certainly not our last) and our youngest granddaughter’s first pantomime. She had a brilliant time like us all.🤶🏻🎄🤩

My favourite little theatre, no matter where you're sat it's a great view. Set in a beautiful building which also contains a museum, art gallery and library. Staff always smiling and helpful and drinks not overly priced.

Enjoyed a fab Panto here with the grandsons. Lovely small venue and clean inside. Comfortable seats with add on seats to raise the seat for children to be able to see. All seats had a good view of the stage. One suggestion to the staff is maybe they could intervene with the audience members who could more easily exit on the left (as you face the stage) instead of squeezing past seated people on their row to exit on the right.

I just love this local theatre!! The staff are really helpful & friendly, they have some great shows & performances on. The whole place is a great asset to Southport from the library, exhibitions, cafe & gift shop. We loved the 2 pantos we’ve been to recently!

The displays were absolutely amazing. But we attended on Saturday and the queues were huge to get in due to only having two people reviewing tickets. The audio system was kitted out onto the beach so you couldn’t hear anything being said. The displays were so spaced out throughout the day and because we couldn’t hear we just had to wait around for the schedule. The military village was good and well set out. All the food trucks had massive queues and were massively over priced

What an amazing air show. Definitely not the biggest one , but for £10.00 you can’t ask for more. Loads of parking space and plenty of refreshments and also toilets when you need them. 5 ⭐️ any time.

Some great displays, in particular the Typhoon, however, while there was a good explanation for some displays others just didn't appear. Long waits between displays. Beach was very muddy and slippery, not an ideal place to sit and watch. Not enough toilets and were not maintained, quickly running out of water/hand sanitiser.

Parking on the sea bed while the tide was out was an awesome experience. There were food vans and lots of seating space along the beach front. The flying displays were punctual, well organised, and really good for such a small airshow. The Eurofighter Typhoon display is always mesmerising of course. It was fast, noisy and incredibly exciting. As was the Saab 37 Viggen too, the first time I had seen it flying. At £10 for the general admission, the ticket prices are affordable. Great place for a day out.

Paid the airshow but parking is none existent....cars backing up and no staff to advise the thousands of people who have paid as to what was going on the show started ar 10am we missed 2 hours of it. Went to see if we could exchange our tickets to the pier seated dye to a disability, but was met with no all sold out, however it was clear there were still hundreds of free seats. The ticket office didn't know what was going on nor could they sell us pier tickets? Not very helpful at all, one food stand and it took 20 minutes per person to be sev d. We and a few other people then had to go to McDonald's to get food, however that was a good call as it was cheaper. Total shambles in the way if organisation from the council and events planners. Well done to the Air force 👍. Shane we missed most of the show. Will stick to Blackpool air show next time- way superior and very well organised!

Incredible. Easy to view from anywhere in the town so it's easy to avoid the crowds. Highly recommended.

I'm really disappointed this year! The typhoon and the Battle of Britain memroail were definitely the highlight. But there were long breaks in between planes or events. Gutted the Red Arrows flew over very briefly, but that's out of the organisers' hands. Queues were hours long and there were not enough facilities, toilets for example. The beach was in a sorry state, too. Food and drinks were very expensive. The military village was good though and it was nice to walk around and speak to service personnel.

Model planes for most of the day, they were good but the weather conditions weren't looking good, the beach was wet so people couldn't park on the beach and the red arrows did a flypast due to the dip in the runway being filled with water at Blackpool.

There are many low star rated reviews for this years airshow, mostly for the Saturday. We attended the airshow on Sunday and thoroughly enjoyed it! The displays were spectacular, particularly the Typhoon. There were really good Army and RAF interactive activities for kids, which were free. There were plenty of stalls selling themed items as well food and ample parking available. Lost a star for the lack of toilets. Great day.

Fantastic show, ran on time, lots of vendors and other related bits and bobs in the village, it was a full day out with plenty to see and do. Everyone staff wise was super friendly and helpful, there was plenty of space for watching, however the wall had filled up first thing before we arrived, so chairs and blankets on the beach where the only options remaining, and I struggled a bit with having mobility issues. It would be nice if they put some temporary mesh paths down on the beach to make it more accessible for those with mobility challenges, but for now I'd just advise anyone with mobility issues to arrive a couple hours before the first display to ensure you can get a comfortable space.

No staff and very little signage to tell you where to go etc, spent most of the time having "breaks" we ended up leaving early due to boredom waiting, I recommend not paying and just standing anywhere outside the gated area. Toilet prices in the town are doubled for the weekend and the prices within the fenced area for food and drink are ridiculous. Luckily you can take your own in and go out to Morrisons etc. Overall it was an OK day, next year we will just avoid the fenced off area

It's not pretending to be RIAT and much better from the pier. First time paying for Lancaster at Southport Airshow in 2019. In my opinion, well worth the extra. Welcome was nice, with complimentary refreshments throughout the day and a superior packed lunch. Private access to part of the pier, which gave excellent views of the surroundings and a unique perspective on the aircraft display. Can get lots of sun and wind, so be well prepared. Met lots of nice like minded people and staff were great. Only quibble is you have to walk back along and down to the lounge in order to access the private toilet, which was clean and tidy. Highly enjoyable and recommended.

It's all happening here on a lovely 😍 day in May half term. Had a lovely walk around the lakes and to Pleasure land. Even went on the big wheel which is £6.00 for adults and 5 for children. Sadly the pier is closed due to maintenance work at the moment so certainly missed walking along that. Had a great time enjoying the Elvis impersonator and the boats. Very regular trains from Liverpool.

The Marine Lake at Southport is a beautiful, picturesque spot that is well worth a visit. All in all, the Marine Lake is a great place to visit for anyone looking to experience the beauty of Southport and the UK's coastline.

The marine lake is looking a lot better since they restored the walk bridge over the lake and opened up the visibility by cutting back the over growth. The lake does look a lot prettier for it. When the sun is shining and the town is thriving with tourism it really does have a good feeling and a sense of pride for my town when I can see the spots that reflect on the towns reputation so much are being looked after. We just need to sort out the empty shops and the high rates that come along with them. The council need to stop being greedy.

Such a lovely lake surrounded by lots of cute ducklings 🐥 8 year old had lots of fun driving the boat. We all had a lovely time and would definitely go back again 😊

I really like the Marine Lake. Really nice walks around it. Enjoy pubs with great views. Bits of wildlife with swans, geese and ducks. Used by people to enjoy the water.

Lovely and peaceful though very very cold early morning was -5 and I’m sure it was colder in the afternoon! Fairly quiet today, lovely scenery

Took my nephew on the boats. Water dirty. Rats seen at the side. Needs a good clean and a lot of bait boxes putting down to control the rat issues they clearly have.

Our local park so we often pop in for a brew. The food is a bit hit and miss one day you order a steak barm it comes lovely presented on a plate with cutlery, side salad, coleslaw the next day same order just a barm in a box no extras! The outside area is a lovely setting but it's so dirty! The tables are never clean and the floor is disgusting with cigarette butts, litter, spilt food, drink etc. Shame as the staff are lovely but overstretched with work.

A bit dated and basic £17 for a coffee, hot chocolate and two beef strew specials. The stew was nice but needed some more salt and seasoning. You have a opportunity here to have a lovey cafe and business with the location you just need a proper barista coffee machine rather than the basic machine you have and a good tidy up and new furniture and coat of paint. Sorry but felt like a tea rooms stuck in the early 1990s.

Dog friendly, warm welcome, lots of music events from Heavy Rock to Motown on some evenings. Basic food but quite good, big room lots of seating families welcome, relaxing place to pop in even just for a cup of tea or coffee

It's a nice cafe but the prices are extortionate 6 pounds for two hot drinks in a small take out cup!

It was my turn to walk the dog. As I entered the cafe, the 1st impressions were dated but friendliness of the staff soon made up for it. As I tucked into my sandwich and a pint. My dog started hoovering for as long as her lead could reach. She was disappointed with the lack of crumbs. Very clean throughout. One of the young woman (with the nostril piercing) behind the bar pointed at a treat jar for well behaved dogs. Dog's happy & am happy. Prices are okay, helping the local economy. Would recommend.

Looks abit dated but relies on volunteers. More invested for a much loved park. Park has plenty of interests for medium park. Cafe friendly. Locals meet up and chat to every one. Not far from shops. Plants and pots good. Good all rounder for everyone

It's tired and run down and the menu is straightforward. The food was wholly adequate but basic. And not cheap, despite ordinary products (tomato soup is Heinz from a tin, for example). There are nicer establishments in nearby church town.

Was going to come in here with family for lunch but after the woman serving ignored me. Then when she did see me for change for the toilet she was extremely rude. I did say I'm pregnant and bursting her response was "yeah yeah yeah " and to roll her eyes. I'll be telling friends and family to avoid this place no one needs this level of rudeness

March yes is the time of year to go and see the beginning of spring fir the Gardens, cafe , the staff were lovely and helpful the building itself is very rundown, needs modernising, a automatic door would be good, not a lot of room for wheelchair and prams to move around, the food was nice but not good enough for the price, also when visiting there was a young child scared of the dogs, maybe a section for dogs only.

Took my friend for a birthday lunch. We both had the Pulled pork and apple sauce barm cake which was delicious. We also had a pudding too. Reasonable prices and good value too. Great service with lovely friendly and polite staff. Definitely worth a visit, I'll be going again.

Beautiful big and very clean beach. The sand dunes are really fun to explore and they provided a bit of shelter when it was windy. The sand is lovely and clean. Parking was quite easy and free when we visited in February not sure how it would be in summer holidays though. Great beach, we'll definitely be back.

Beautiful day out with family 💕 We drove a mile down and it was lovely. Parked up at the end and took dogs for walk along the beach were cars cart drive. Brilliant place. £10 a day for cars is well worth it.

Beautiful day spent making memories with the kiddies 🫶🏼 parking on the beach for £10 and £5 after 4pm. Plenty of space and the access is very handy when you need access to your car especially with the kids. Plenty of Bins for throwing rubbish and few cafe didn’t explore much but we seen some on the way in when parking the car. There were horses on the beach, ice cream van 🚐 lovely stretch of beach 🏖️ 🌅

First time visit. Lovely beach, very clean and sand dunes with ample space for dog walking even for an anxious dog. Parking on the beach, plenty of space for water gliders and beach gliders to enjoy with beach goers. Had a fantastic few hours at Ainsdale beach

Very clean, very quiet, very cold & very windy 🤣🤣 End of November so exactly as I expected 👍🏼 Went to see what had changed since my childhood holidays at Pontin’s back in the seventies. Nothing same entrance as I remember it. Should have tried to have a mooch about inside.

Parking on the beach! £10 for all day. Ice cream is £3 to 4 for a Mr whippy. Great beach for young families as the water is so shallow and it goes on for miles. Remember to bring sun cream, a towel and something to block the wind!

Been here a few times now, lovely beach and very accesible having the car park on the beach! Large enough to enjoy even when busy! The tide goes out quite far, so be prepared to walk to the sea!This time we went during the week after work for an impromptu visit, so arrived at 19:15, be warned the gates close at 20:30 so be sure to get there early enough to enjoy it as they still charged me £5 for an hour!

One of the best beaches to visit in the north west. Come here early and don't pay £10 to park on the beach as that's daylight robbery, instead, just before you get to the beach turn left and follow the road down and there's free parking there. I have found crabs here in the small deposits of water left after the tide went out, small shrimps and flat fish are in the water too. The beach isn't ruined by oil, vast amounts of dunes to explore and lifeguards around for peace of mind. Lots of dog walkers and it's great for kids too, bring all your beach gear and pitch up a tent for shade as you might spend a few hours here. During the day, the tide can go out quite far so be prepared to walk a mile or two to reach the sea. Kiting is very popular here as well as boating, if you come in May it's very breezy but perfect warm weather to cool off afterwards. There are toilet facilities at the entrance, open during the season and free to use. On a clear day, you can see Blackpool tower in the distance and the Welsh mountains with the odd ferry added into the mix.

Such a lovely beach! Parking on the beach is still £10 or you can park on a small carpark a bit further up for the Ainsdale and Birkdale Sandhills LNR at the Sand Hills Nature Trail. It's a pay and display and cost us £2.10 for the 5 hours. Beach is clean, lots of free public toilets, beautiful water and sand.

Outstanding beach and only a short drive from Southport and next to a Pontins and toilets here too but closed due to off season brilliant coastal paths along the sand dunes visited on Wednesday at high tide and it still goes out for miles it was very windy and there were people watching the windsurfers I had a long paddle and the sun was shining over the Irish sea and enjoyed it here walking around the sand dunes and along the beach no quicksand or mud here

It's a decent place to chill with family and friends to have BBQ and picnic.. you can park on beach for £10 all day but after 4pm it's half price... You can have your camper van parked there and chill it's quite Beach compared to Blackpool pleasure beach.. it's better to take your food from home no canteen or cafe on site but nearby amusement Park May have it all....you can Park Free on the Left Street just before entering the beach...if there are any space available.... coast guard on the beach to deal with any emergency... please bring your parasol chairs ect there's plenty of space to setup your own picnic area.... bring your sports stuff to have fun.... some time tide away and you have to walk a mile to reach the water....

Very unprofessional staff. Usually congregating around reception on mobile phones during the evening. During the day nobody cares to answer the phone. The changing rooms are always filthy, Fire doors jammed open all around the centre. Out of all the gyms I've visited in my life this is at the bottom of the pile..Only good point is they allow you to cancel a membership without charge if you're unsatisfied with the club.

We loved it. Seemed relatively clean to me. A few areas a bit grubby but nothing you wouldn't expect. Showers and cubicles spotless. Lockers operated by a wristband. Pay £2 up front and get a £1 back if you give the band back at reception. Hairdryers 20p (coins only) for approx 3 mins. There are 3 main slides, a family one, a fast one and another that you use a rubber ring for. The latter is great, although sometimes you get thrown from the ring, so need to be able to find the surface. The fast slide seemed very fast but fun. We paid £38 for 1 adult, 2 kids but got 20% back with carers pass once we got there. 2hrs definitely seemed enough and the queues were not that bad for slides. Max 7 people in front of us.

Fantastic day out. You can get a hour and a half pass or all day, we only went for the short stay. Lots of slides child park Jacuzzi lazy river and exploding pipe area. The fairground is right opposite for more fun. I gab put up a Photo of car park tarifs.

Just a swimming pool. Splashworld isn't open. It was good though and the water temperature for the kids was okay

Negatives : purchased a 2 hour slot for me and my daughter 1pm-3pm but the queue to get in was so long we didn’t get into changing rooms until 1.15pm which is taking up time out of the 2 hour slot 😩. So shocked how dirty the changing rooms were, rubbish all over floor and filthy floors, full of hair and dirt. Cleanliness needs to be better . That said, once we were inside we had a fantastic time. Was brilliant for my 6 year old daughter. Staff really lovely , my daughter even commented on how lovely they were . I was a little anxious allowing my daughter to go on the slide on her own with the rubber ring as wouldn’t allow me to go down with her. This slides are quite fast for small children I thought, but my daughter loved it!

Excellent facilities for all the family. It was our first visit to Splash World with two young kids. They loved it! Great accessible facilities and plenty to do. The water slides are amazing and the whole place was clean and well maintained. I would recommend the upgrade to the gold tickets which gives you a whole day entry as the standard session seemed to be over before the kids where done.

Got here as a last resort as we should have gone to Blackpool, but as the motorway was closed, we ended up here. Went and wondered round Pleasure Land but wasn't for us. Brought my 11 year old here for swimming but had no shorts. Bought some here for £20.00......rip off but couldn't do anything about it. Paid only for him as adults didn't wanna swim. £12.00 for a child for 1.5 hours.....and get this, £7.00 each for spectators! What a joke!!! Definitely won't be coming here again. Came to sat down in the spectators area, but hardly anyone had purple bands on for just the pleasure of watching. Probably didn't wanna pay the outrageous price to watch your kids, and nobody checks, so I wouldn't bother. The cafe looks ok, just had a tea and coke, prices weren't as bad as for watching 🤣

We have great fun here as a family and will visit again. Unfortunately the showers were down on this visit which left a huge queue in the family area showers and nobody felt it would be sensible to manage this so you ended up with kids just stood in the shower not even washing whilst families stood queued waiting to wash. Basic control of this was certainly needed given there was only 4 working showers in the whole place on a busy weekend day.

Staff where great clean place too good even on rainy days when you don't want to be stuck in over the holidays .

I attend an excellent exercise class here every Tuesday which is great the only problem is I have to get charged in the toilet because there don't seem to be changing facilities for exercise class

The facility was great, my little girl (3yrs) absolutely loved it. Parking was hard to come by though as its so close to the morrisons next door seems their car park was being used as an overflow. We spent 25 minutes just looking for a place to park. My advice is get their very early so you don't use up your slot time.

It's very good, lots of fun for kids and adults. It's not the biggest place in the world but if you think of it as a small swimming pool with 3 slides then a couple of hours is a perfect amount of time to spend. Would the bother with the all day pass, doubt you'll get your money so worth.

Booked in advance having visited 6+ years ago and was hugely disappointed at how this place has been ran into the ground. You can tell this is a council ran service through the poor changing facilities and the pack of cleanliness. Having waited 20+ minutes for a family changing room (only 2 available) the quality inside was that of ran down derive with no budget to maintain, dirty, Nappies on the floor, bad smell. The lockers were ran down also, some taped. The pool had not been upgraded in years, the facilities out dated, not enough staff on duty to guests ratio and the final straw.....vomit in the pool which we had to report after exiting as no one to pick it up £60 down the drain as we will never visit this toilet of a facility again

We got the gold package and stayed for about 4 hours. My 2 boys 10 and 8 really enjoyed the slides. Parking was reimbursed and lockers are a £1 non refundable

Booked 10.30 am slot for 1 adult + 2 children (£42) for the 1.5 hour slot. Not overly busy at this time of day, even though it was the Easter holidays. Paid for parking (which you claim back, so free), and locker is £1 (refundable and plenty big enough for all our gear). I found this great value for money. Changing rooms were clean, life guards were on the ball, and there were plenty of different slides/lazy river/bubble pool/etc to keep us occupied. Found the water temp fine as long as you keep moving. Most of all, we had fun 😊

Been twice in the last week and we loved it. If you park on the council carpark next to splash world you can claim back your parking money which I think is brilliant. There's loads for everyone right from tiny kids to big kids. Changing rooms are kept as clean as possible staff are lovely

The swimming itself was good, really need more family changing rooms as I had to change my baby and myself in a small cubicle, wasn't ideal for a family place! Also don't like that it's £2 for each locker but you only get £1 back? Makes no sense 😂 All in all, kids loved it and was a good swim, clean and safe for kids!

Surprisingly good! Was expecting this place to be a bit run-down and filthy like so many council/adventure pools but actually it is really excellent. Cost us £60 for 2 adults and 3 kids (4, 6, and 9) for 90 minutes in the pool. Parking on site is refunded when you use the pool. Good clean changing rooms, excellent lockers and your locker key is refunded when you leave. 3 big slides including one which you can take a younger child on with you. Loads to do for younger kids too. We all had a blast. Staff were helpful and smiling which is good to see. Maybe Sefton council could come and teach Wirral council a few tricks about how to run leisure facilities.

If You compare with the Blackpool (Sand Castle) this place is not so expensive but not so cheap as well. You can save some £ if You pay car park and You give the other part of parking ticket to the cashier. The water and toilets could be more warm. I visited this place at God Friday 2024. It is based just next 2 ( opposite ) mini golf. If is raining go instead of the Sea there for Relax.

Went with the 2 kids today. Staff in the pool really attentive. Was really impressed with one guy and how he cared for some of the younger swimmers. Changing rooms at the end of the day we're disgusting. Staff were constantly going around cleaning up but people where leaving nappies and wrist bands, crisp packets and even ice cream wrappers in the floor. Absolutely disgusting from the public. Staff were brilliant and we had great fun. Would defo recommend.

A lovely little model railway and village which was perfect to take our train-mad 3 year old to. It's not huge, so you might consider it a little pricy if you're taking a whole family and you only walk around the once. But we went round a few times and had fun completing the trail sheet and puzzle we were given on entry. We probably spent about an hour there. On site, there are also toilets, a small selection of ice creams and snacks, and ample places to sit with a picnic or to enjoy the surroundings. If we lived nearby, I could imagine visiting with a packed lunch to let my son enjoy the trains for a couple of hours. The model village is very detailed, and you can clearly see the time and effort that has gone into making it.

Really interesting place. The detail is incredible! Our son enjoyed the quiz and finding all the gnomes. Definitely worth a look if you’re in Southport.

Wonderful model Village with working model railway. My Grandchildren were delighted and I had the memories of visiting the model village as a child. My grown up daughter enjoyed her day too. Easy to walk round in well maintained beautiful gardens. The staff are very pleasant and welcoming. We were given keepsakes when we were leaving and my daughter will add these to my granddaughters memory books. A fantastic and memorable day out for all ages. Thank you!

Our family had a really nice hour exploring/walking round the track (we walked round 3 times). Simply layout but lots to look at. Quiz was fun for our 7 year old and was mesmerised by the trains going around. Only a small place but considering it took 30 years in the planning! (Been there 27 years) Sadly closed over winter. And only open in summer.

I would have loved to give it 5☆ but it just doesn't work 😊. It can't work. Teenagers are never going to enjoy it. Well, they will enjoy it but it's so cute and uncool they will moan the whole time because it's essential for their street cred that they make it totally clear that they are not enjoying it. 2 to 5 year-olds love it but all they want to do is play with the trains and pick everything thing up. 6 to 10 year-olds love to do the quiz sheet but it's a good quiz with some challenging questions so they go around and around trying to find the answers for hours and probably won't get it finished without some grown up help. Also they probably won't want to leave. Parents? Well, they will be trying to find the dental surgery to find the answer for the quiz, negotiate with teenagers to find out how much pizza will get them to shut up and look for at least one child that has slipped the net and is off wondering what it would be like to play in the miniature cricket match. Grand parents are probably trying to stop the trains from being derailed. The practical details are that it is very well maintained, neat and clean. Lots of seats for those odd moments when you manage to get the children to sit down and take a break and picnic benches for lunch time (bring your own as the kiosk only has ice cream etc.). Excellent toilets. You are going to need at least a couple of hours and as it's not cheap so nearer four to get your money's worth but with a younger family (and bringing your own picnic) then the place can surprisingly handle that. Go and enjoy. Hard work for the parents, children can't do all they want to do but everyone will have a lovely time even if some won't admit it 😊.

A lovely place to visit. The model village is very sweet and well put together and there were approx 5 different trains going around the track. The area is self contained and you walk it in a loop. The path is nice and flat for anyone pushing a pram or in a wheelchair. My son is train mad so we spent about 90 mins here on a nice sunny day (but if they're less of a special interest then I'd say you're likely to spend between 30-60 mins here). We walked it around twice together and then I sat on a bench (of which there are plenty) and he did another few laps by himself. You are given a quiz to complete as you walk around (questions such as "what is the name of the cake shop?") so it encourages interest and there are some gnomes to spot too. We chatted to the owner for a while who was really nice and welcoming. There is a small cafe offering drinks and some outdoor seating and toilets here.

Lovely, happy lady in the ticket booth. Beautifully clean and well maintained site. Perfect for any age, lots of benches and flat so easy to get round. Would highly recommend.

Wonderful family-friendly attraction for all ages. We went as a mixed age family group, from 18 months to grandparents, and everyone enjoyed this lovely miniature village and railway. It is a peaceful spot, very well-maintained and well-run. You can buy refreshments or take a picnic. There are some tables and chairs near the entrance and then benches throughout the village to sit down. We were given a quiz to do as we walked round, answering questions about the village to win a prize, and it was lovely to see lots of families participating. Our toddler loved watching the trains, and it was a safe space for her to walk around. There are numerous different trains, all making realistic sounds, and signal boxes, tunnels etc as well as the model village which seems to be based on Southport with shops and restaurants you can see in the town centre. Lovely place to spend a few hours, good family fun. Best attraction we've visited in ages!

Delightful garden with model Railway running round it. Compact but plenty to see. Immaculately kept and great value. Kids of all ages will love it. Really enjoyed it.

What a lovely place! We followed the quiz trail and spotted all the little scenes in the guide leaflet which is a lovely idea. The couple that run it were lovely and clearly enjoy working there. The garden is laid out well and it looks bigger once you're inside. Someone must spend a lot of time maintaining grass, bushes and paths as it was spotlessly kept. There are benches to rest a while and watch the little trains. The take away refreshments are good value for a seaside tourist attraction. We loved it and wish you well!

Omg I loved this place I felt like such a child but I had a great time even my husband did so much fun! And the lady in the ticket office was lovely!

A 3 year olds birthday day trip to Southport, with three young grandchildren under 6 brought us to the attention of this place. A nice outdoor seated area where we a enjoyed a coffee. The miniature village is nice to walk around, & the grandchildren enjoyed spotting & counting the little Gnomes, & finding Bob the Builder. We walked around it 3 times with them, (their request,) in the glorious sunshine, watching the little trains running by. It was a nice way to spend an hour or so with the little ones. Nice & friendly staff, & clean toilets.

To be honest I didn't expect the Grandchildren to enjoy this as much as they did! It's a good idea to read the activity sheets, provided when you pay, before setting off on your exploration. The questions made the grandchildren look carefully at the beautiful scenery in case they missed what they were looking for. We ended up going around three times, doing different elements of the activities. Friendly, helpful staff and an enjoyable place for families to visit.

A great little model village, well thought out, well looked after. A quiz to do as you go around. Once in you can wander around as many times as you like. Toilet facilities and drinks and snacks available although we didn't purchase any on our visit.

A really nice park and walk around. Good play area for children and the park also has open grass areas. Park benches clean and maintained. On street free parking. Not parkrun use this park in a Sunday morning.

Great little park and fun for the kids while parents get to sit and relax on benches. It's about 6-7 minutes drive from the Southport beach and there is plenty of parking on the quiet main road. There's plenty of things to do for the kids with swings, slides and a mini golf area, although not sure, think you have to bring your golf clubs and ball. It's a very quiet area and only seen a couple of people with dogs and there was no litter anywhere. The park is colourful and will get your kids tired from all the fun they'll have. Didn't see any bathroom near the park but think there might be along the long walk. There's also something very interesting in the park that I've not seen in any other parks before, exercise machines and I think that's a brilliant idea that'll get kids motivated to exercise. There's a long walk as well with flowers and a little water fountain. Can recommend this park for locals and if anyone wants a day out with the family too. The drive from Manchester was easy with beautiful places to see along the way.

Great park if you're a dog walker who wants more than just a field for your dog to run around in. There are some great trails/routes at this park, a lovely rose garden, and a pond area to walk around. Locals are incredibly friendly and care a lot about their environment - something that became very clear after seeing people picking up litter in the early mornings. I would recommend this park if you're in the area and you're looking to stretch your legs, while being surrounded by lots of lovely greenery

Enjoyable and quite relaxing. Whether out walking the dog or a stroll with the family it is a great place to visit. Also if hungry it has a refreshments area serving hot/cold food throughout the day. Toilet facilities also on site.

Lovely park for a walk, good children's playground small cafe beautiful lake, great place to visit in the sunshine and a completely different kind of beautiful in the autumn and winter .

We went to Hesketh Park to do a bit of walking and found that the paths were nice and level and easy to walk along and no steep areas so ideal for prams and wheelchairs, there is a big pond with lots of ducks and some nice fountains.

This is a great park that is nice for a stoll or a dog walk. There are plenty of areas for dogs to rummage around. Not massive but it's enough for a nice walk around. There's a play area for children with a crazy golf section which I assume is open at the weekends in the summer months. Plenty of off path areas to explore as well as a formal garden. A good sized pond in the middle of the park with ducks and geese to feed if you choose. It does have a shop to purchase food and snacks which again I would assume is open in the summer months.

Amazing place to go every time I visit Southport, the arcade has fun rides and machines which always seems to give a lot tickets everytime I go lol. The reward booth will always be the best part of the arcade having the best gifts as well as the arcade café having cheap prices. I bought the chips and drinks for £2-2.50 and it pretty decent. This is a has to when coming to Southport

Funland Arcade, it's great fun for the kids. Was disappointed at some of the games. Very disappointing, the convertion from how many tickets to what prizes you can receive. Especially as we were there most of the day and collected 1400 tickets! The staff were amazing though, very helpful very friendly willing to help and support, which means a lot especially as a disabled person.

Sorry for this one star review but go to Funland if you want to be transported to the stoneage. They have very very old claw machines that don't give you a fair chance to grab any toys. Funland needs to update with modern new claw machines that are brighter and have higher chances of winning. All the other machines and games are also very very dated from the 1970s or something. Please get rid of this junk!! In other arcades over at Blackpool they have some of the modern claw machines that actually work and are fun to play and don't just take your money. The modern ones also have a joy stick instead of the old forward and side buttons. You get to control the claw as many times as you want within 60secs not just press once and the claw automatically goes down. If you go to Tokyo or anywhere in Japan they have the best claw machines in the world and endless methods of winning not just grab a toy. They know how to do business over there. FYI probably because gambling is illegal in Japan hence their machines have higher odds. Funland unfortunately is still stuck in the 1960s.....needs major major investment. Not a fun place to go with all the very old boring machines, very very unimaginative and really dragging Southport down. I suggest the boss of Funland to take a trip to Akihabara in Tokyo and see for him/herself how well an arcade can be done.

Love a visit to the arcade especially when we win tickets! We chose a plane, crayons and sweets! Sisters out being silly on a Thursday, aged 66 and 63-never too old 😆

The arcade is reasonably good value for money. It has a wide range of games to play, there were plenty of ATMs and change machines (some of which allowed contactless, other of which were notes only). Good range of prizes available too. Because we went on a Saturday however, it was very busy, so I would suggest if you can, try going on a weekday when it is likely to be quieter. Otherwise you may find yourself unable to play on some of the games as there were some, like the air hockey, that never appeared to be free.

A little noisy (the sound of coins dropping and immediately fed back into the machines) quieter on a Sunday afternoon, cheap food and drinks available, card only in cafe (be advised). Cash machine takes around £1.50 for getting your money so if you are frugal take cash. Some good machines pay out in tickets that can be exchanged at the gift shop.

Been coming here since I was a little girl with my mum, dad used to come but passed away. I now come with my baby girl when I'm in Southport and she loves the lights and sounds, was here last month and I plan to come again this upcoming Saturday. Won her a pinnochio toy, she loves it!

I don't appreciate the fact that youse raised your voice at a women with her grandchild. The child has learning difficulties and adhd and I don't find it fair. There was everyone watching and very very embarrassing for the grandparent of that child! Mr wilcocks I think you should apologise to the lady and the child! The little girl is 7 and is scared to come back to your arcade, they are regular customer nearly everyday! An apology for this women and child is needed!!

It is what you'd expect, the kids love it. Cheap cafe is a bonus. Paying to use the toilets is not. However we will be back.

Always like to go on the 2p falls when at the seaside but I much prefer to try to win a prize than to win tickets. Somewhat unfunfilling. Probably try to find an amusements where I can lose my money trying to win a junky prize. By the way the Pier is shut for the foreseeable future and had been for I don't know how long. Disappointing really!!

Wasn't much in the grabbers or little toys in penny pushers for kids been here few times this one was a bit of a let down

Cafe increased its prices by over 59% in a week. Won’t be going again. Better value elsewhere.

Good value for money arcade. Managed to keep my daughter entertained for a good hour which is some doing! Have a huge variety of arcade machines as well as a cafè inside but did not eat there so can't comment. Always busy during the summer months with small kids rides inside. I've been coming to this arcade for over 20 years and will hopefully come here for here for another 20.

Lovely little day out for family kids had fun loads of different games to play good idea for a Sunday afternoon

Went to get out for a few hours. Kids love the arcade. Very friendly staff, my daughter left her phone on a machine and one of the workers came looking for her. I also saw another one searching for someone who had left something else behind. Had ice cream and doughnuts from outside. There's a little train that leaves from outside for a short journey, about 15 minutes, that's only a couple of pounds each. There was live entertainment around the back of the building in the seated area. There's a large play area, a boating lake, mini golf, and a funfair, but I think that only opens weekends and school holidays. Parking is usually a bit hard to find close by, I think there are large car parks a bit further up, not very far

Not a bad place but I should say something's need addressing for the use of a music venue, especially like the sound system, which sounded rubbish at this weekend's tribute festival. If you were in a position to get a good view, like at the back in the middle, the sound was like listening to muffled music through a bee hive and if you got in a position where your ears didn't hurt, then you ended up having a poor view - unless you were 7 foot. Which really was a great shame for these acts, not doing them any justice at all. Other things like inflated prices, paying £2 for a small coffee, £2.50 for a Pepsi max and £6.70 Rhubarb Gin with lemonade, we all come to expect to be ripped off at these sort of places now. Staff members and security at the even seemed mostly good, but let's hope things improve for what could be a good little venue.

The hotel is ok, comfortable, but getting old. Only 2 lifts which are very slow. The convention centre is also ok and quite large. The connecting doors between the hotel and convention centre were "broken" so guests had to go outside when going between each venue.

i was attending a confrence. the exterior looks clean modern and fresh! however upon entry you step into a 1950 ballroom that looks like it was made yesterday! clean is an underatatment. friendly staff and the surounding area felt like i was in spain. (weather really helped that alot) so if you are viewing a show or attending a confrence it will be pleasurable.

Went to watch the Illegal Eagles, wow what an awesome group, close you're eyes and it could have been the real. The venue was excellent, good views all round. Very friendly staff on hand to help if needed, we would definitely use this venue again.

Beautiful place to go with family and friends for the day... the sea is literally outside the venue. The weather was absolutely beautiful.

We saw the Rolling Stones story at the Southport theatre last Friday night the whole theatre was rockin brilliant we would see them again. Mick Jagger really did look like him. The whole experience fantastic.

Southport Comic Con Nwcc held an awesome convention here. Will defo be coming again. Huge stage area. Massive room with trade tables. Guests, retro gaming area an Daleks.

Lovely intimate venue, watched Ed Byrne here. Nice comfortable seats, very reasonably priced refreshments both alcoholic and non alcoholic. The staff were friendly & courteous at all times. It is unreserved seating here and think they could manage that a little better by filling front to back from wnd of rows rather than adhoc, latecomers struggle to see where the remaining empty seats are. Overall great little theatre, will be back!

Lovely little theatre with plenty of leg room but temperature far too hot

Fab play, amazing singers/actors/dancers. Snacks were reasonably priced, the staff were polite and helpful and the seats are very comfortable. I will definitely be going back to watch future shows there

The little Theatre is beautiful. A piece of beauty and Culture in Southport. Love the place, especially in May and October when the BOS Musical Theatre are performing.

It was a great, good old fashioned pantomime with all the true to the British values Included. Oh what a scream, oh no it wasn't, oh. Yes it was. Get the meaning

wonderful building down an alley off the main Street, really Victorian in style, not great on disability access in the theatre,as you put near the exit and at back of the theatre,no decent walkways and not a lot of help if you're elderly or partially blind,old cinema seats ,airy in the foyer and lots of steps to the upper floor, be careful of slight steepness coming down the stairs.

Liver Birds, a fantastic show loved every minute of it. Well done to all concerned.

Great performance , enjoyable musical. We took our Grandsons to experience live theatre.

22/5/23 watched Joseph & Tech Dream Coat: Fab Night Great Professional stage. Seating is perfect Can't wait to go again. Recommended.

Why have I never visited the Little Theatre before, a fabulous night out in a fabulous theatre, we will be back, and soon.

Joseph was fantastic. As a music teacher I have been involved in performances seen the professional performance. This was the best ever. The cast musicians stage producers etc. Put everything into achieving an extremely high standard. Loved it. Really felt I had my moneys worth

Brilliant local place, better than my last visit which was years ago. I loved the Death Trap, keep up the quality and variety of shows and I'll keep coming every month. Only one thriller / murder mystery for a while. Have comedies, thrillers, all sorts for adults and people of all ages. It was nice that you had a good show on and prices are good as well, also I like the people that run the theatre, nice local venue.

We went to watch Joseph and Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. It was our first visit. We had a great time, a wonderful show and the staff were pleasant and helpful. Will definitely be visiting again.

Went to see "Stepping Out" on Saturday afternoon. What a brilliant show, thankyou! My first visit to this theatre and will definitely be going again. The theatre is lovely, and the seats are comfy!

Went to watch Deathtrap with partner. Play was OK main character was the best. Venue was clean and hot and cold drinks available. Felt the youngest of the audience (49 year old) . Good value for money.

Very friendly staff, super food in the restaurant nd an environment free from too many drunk people. The restaurant is currently offering a deal menu Sun - Tues that is particularly good value. There is a variety of gaming tables and machines, all assisted by great dealers and valets. There are also several card schools each week for those who play.

Staff getting orders all wrong, went to toilet and took full pint and half's pints from where we was eatting. Limited old slots. Won't be going back. Shambles of a casino.

A very nice place, great to while away a few hours, the drinks are a little on the expensive side, and the staff can be a bit distant. However there is a good atmosphere and who knows you might get lucky. I will be back.

This place is cool, nice chilled vibe, yummy food, lots of fancy cocktails. Make sure you get there early enough to get them on two for one. Also apart from the roulette tables and machines, most of the other games machines are taken pretty early or reserved!

Enjoyed today at Genting Southport Austin was extremely helpful, explaining, that soft drinks and tea/coffee are Free in the carpeted area, we didn't realize this until today, as we have never been told Lime&soda water very refreshing on a warm & muggy day. Food is of great quality.Staff are very attentive. 3rd time of having dinner and would highly recommend the black tiger prawns and there steak is top quality.no negatives.

Great friendly staff, sensible prices on food and drinks comfortable relaxing atmosphere. If you have every fancied going to a casino but we're nervous, this is the place to go, the staff will help you understand the rules and etiquette. Give it a try you will not be disappointed.

Every country has its quirky museums. This tells the history from the first lawn mower. There are exhibits from many famous personalities. Parking near was no problem. Amazing how much they packed in.

Quirky but fascinating. Great for a visit if you want to kill an hour. You don't have to be interested in lawnmowers to enjoy all the different machines on show.

Very small venue with 90% being on upper floors with no lift or disabled access. They play a full prerecorded "guide" as to what is what based on you starting on a recommended floor by staff when you go in. The museum itself has lots and lots of very interesting mowers and history inside but as mentioned at the start of my review... it's very small so everything is crammed together. Did I enjoy my visit despite all the above criticism... yes actually. Good history and lots to see. Little souvenir area to get your goodies too.. I'd give it a 7/10

Really enjoyed my visit here, amazing selection of lawn mowers, some owned by the rich and famous. Definitely worth the admission charge. Lovely staff, busy on phone advised we could pay on way out. Thank you.

Amazing, quirky museum. Not huge, but if you're in Southport it's worth visiting. THEY HAVE NICHOLAS PARSONS LAWNMOWER!!!!! Some other celebs too, but NICHOLAS BLOODY PARSONS!!!! YES, REALLY!!! Go have a look. Oh, and a dibber from some other TV bloke.

A quirky British museum with an unquestionable dedication to the lawn mower, something that most of us clearly take for granted yet is a machine with a fascinating history. The audio tour was really well done and was probably essential to interpret the collection to us non mower experts. We both really enjoyed it.

A bit niche but after checking to see what was available to visit in Stockport I decided to pay them a visit and thoroughly enjoyed it. I had never really thought about how the lawnmower was invented but the history was really interesting. I spotted a Qualcast lawnmower identical to the one I used as a boy back in the 1960’s and it brought back a lot of memories

If you like lawnmowers then this is the place for you. A few celebrities have donated various items which makes the visit slightly more interesting. I've been once probably wouldn't go again.

Slightly baffling concept, born of someone's obsession with garden equipment, but at the same time charmingly British and eccentric. Feels like something Bill Bryson could fill a chapter on.

What a superb little gem of a museum. It deserves a larger venue. Clearly a labour of love the museum shows a wonderful range of grass cutters spanning almost 200 years. The eye openers show just how good British made machines were. The modern small lawns may not need these large machines but. Models fromm 100 years or more would still do the job and would probably leave a better finish. I cannot commend this museum more highly. It is a credit to the owners and Southport is very fortunate to host this little beauty.

Really well maintained miniature railway. Always popular with the kids and older kids.

Nice for the kids but parts of it are in desperate need of repair. Building has been demolished at the pier end of the line and nothing much there in facilities. The Pleasure Beach end of the line is better, but parts of the engine shed are falling off. Bits of unused tracks litter the site around the station area.

Great customer service - we got to the station just after the train departed and it came back to get us! One star subtracted because it's not a real steam engine! 😋

Was cheap kids where made up not bad for £3

i do reccomend this its dear thoe £3 a return the are swans next door you can fit 4 for £12 in fun experience

Fun for the little ones can work out expensive if theres afew of you all rides are £3 returns.

Google isn't up to date, drove all the way there and wasn't open. Very disappointed little boy.
