Small park in the center of Novi Sad. Quite a nice place to walk. There are beautiful trees and bushes, little pond and a statue. Half the park is closed now because of some reconstruction works. There is little shade, most benches are in the sun except for one alley. No children’s playgrounds are available, keep it in mind if you want to go with kids, they might feel bored. For those who want to grab a bite there is a little cafeteria.

The beach is beautiful and on the Danube river in Novi Sad. It was recommended to us and I was glad we visited. It is a 25 minutes walk from the city center and there are beautiful walkways leading to the beach. The beach is free to visit and sitting areas are provided with shades to keep from sun. Nice beach with many different playgrounds for kids and cafés for adults. If can find an empty chair watch the barges pass by on the Danube. You can even rent a little booth for the season and have your own private dacha (see pictures)

Don't forget to pack your own food and drinks especially if you're gonna be with kids, everything is at least 5 times the normal prices in town 🙄🤯 NO EXAGERATION. All in all it is a great place with multiple playgrounds and beautiful sandy river beaches, kids have a whale of a time there. I haven't personally explored the night life there as yet but it seems as though when the sun goes down it transforms into a whole other world🕺🏽💃

The whole city is a bicycle heaven and on Strand its banned to enter with one. Spent the whole day cycling and wanted to take a bath and they didn't let me in.

We tried the royal mojito, and it did not disappoint – it had a generous amount of alcohol;) While the water might not be crystal clear for extended swimming, I took a dip and had no issues afterward. They also provide showers for a quick rinse. Bonus points for the friendly dogs we encountered during our visit!

There is a nice pawed path with running track and a bike track but there is also a bit more rugged path right by the river (recommend both). You have lots of bars on the strand and places for kids to play. From rhe Strand you can cross the bridge to Sremska kamenica and enjoy a park there.

First time here and loving it. Fruška Gora National Park is only 13 km (8 miles) by car to reach one of the section of the park. It extends into eastern Croatia. Once an island, now a mountain. The mountain is about 80 km ( 50 miles) long, and probably 90 million years old. It's established since 1960. This mountain is also called a mirror of the geological past. This is due to the park having more than 160 animal species dating back 123 million years that were found on that surface. This area is home to over 50 protected plant species, 200 bird species and 17 monasteries as well as caves, waterfalls and lakes. The hiking trail is marked with hearts on the trees. So cute. I added the schedule of bus from center to Popovica. Also added bus schedule from Popovica to center.

It's a surprising lil' place. Like every other mountain range in Serbia, it also boasts some beautiful views, but the difference is in how the place emerges. Going to Fruska Gora from Belgrade you hardly feel it coming, it's just plains for a really long time with temp ranging from 10 to 6, then suddenly the temp drops to 2 or lower.. and in the heart of the park.. it drops to negative temp, and that's magical with the frost everywhere. We loved the place. It was our last stop before getting back to Dubai... And so glad we did this.

Beautiful National Park of Serbia. Not high mountain, but very spreaded. With a lot of hiking trails, forests' paths. It is wine region, with 16 monasteries from medieval time. You can go to the different outdoor activities there or just go to sightseeing of all places across Fruška Gora.

Fruska gora is close to Novi Sad, easiest way to get to trails is to drive to Popovica which is around 15 minutes away from Novi Sad. Trails are marked so it is really hard to get lost 😀. Fruska gora is popular on weekends when people are getting here for some nice walks in the nature. It is also popular place to do BBQ with friends.

Fruška gora is one of five national parks in Serbia. Fruška gora is located in the nothern part of Serbia, near Novi Sad. At this places there are many Serbian monasteries dating from the Middle Ages.3

Nice place to spend your day or weekend in nature. You can walk, ride a bike, ride around and visit places on Fruska Gora or around the mountain. If you are more hotel and spa type of person, you can enjoy in that as well

A huge green area. You should go with a native that knows the most beautiful places or you can get lost and just walk and not enjoy the sightseeings.

Visit Fruška gora if you are looking for almost untact nature and hiking delight. Also, "Sloboda" monument is a must-see.

Amazing national park with lakes, hiking routes, water sources and beautiful nature. Wish everyone took care not to throw garbage anywhere.

Loved this orthodox church, was already night when I came in but could still enjoy its beauty. There are visible differences to catholic churches....only standing booths🤣 for one thing.

Beautiful, typically Christian orthodox cathedral. The black roof and the tall bell tower are something unique. Ensure you respect the silence and the exiting giving your back to the door. It is a lovely place to visit to discover the local culture as a tourist. However, it is also important to remember that it's a place of worship for the citizens.

On Saturdays at around 2 pm you may see wedding in the church

Quite nice cathedral, beautiful from outside but not so interesting inside. The area around the cathedral is nice as well and good atmosphere.

Its a must to visit this site in Novi Sad if you are a Roman Catholic its also very convinient because its where some famous sites are as well

It is agreat example of Serbian orthodox architecture,based on the regional - Central European baroque with orthodox upgrade.Originaly built in 1740,cathedral was completely refurbished in 1905. Sunday liturigies (ar 10a.m) are regulary followed by mixed choir singing of the fine quality.

Nice place to visit, main exhibition + temporary exhibition that changes from time to time. For the price given expected main exhibition to be smaller, but it’s great. A lot of interesting stuff to see and learn about Vojvodina.

Great museum about the history of Vojvodine - many different exhibits for each time period which makes you feel like you are traveling through time. No English descriptions, but there are pamphlets at the beginning of each exhibit with translation written on them.

Visited Muzej Vojvodine, to go back in the history. Learned so much about the Serbian history. Got to know about the wheat variety grown here and its evolution. Must visit.

It is an art and natural history museum in Novi Sad. The collections are beautiful and rich. As you know, once upon a time this region was controlled by Austria Hungarians and it was the border with the Ottoman Empire. Today there are still differences between northern and central Serbia. You can see the difference even in their traditions clothes. If you come to visit this beautiful city, add this museum to your list. Entrance is 200 Serbian dinar per person. Note: For the ones criticizing the lack of English translation; There is no translation on the walls. In each room, there are some brochures somewhere in the room. Find that and match the titles with each brochure. On the walls, titles are translated.

Five stars for The Roman Gilded Helmets installation; helmets are precisely iluminated in a large, dark premise, so they shine as discretly as a treasure that has just been dug out of agriculture field. Such ilumination gives them also a sort of a special meaning, they shine bright as a lost jewels of great empire that once ruled a world, only to be sank to oblivion.

Nearly didn’t go here, thankfully I decided to. Really interesting and varied collection, I loved the Boško Petrović exhibition. The permanent collection was well presented, and there was plenty of interpretation in English. Worth a visit.

Brilliant museum! A comprehensive tour of history of the area and human activity since the year dot ! Really well presented exhibits in chronological order. Leave yourself about three hours to study everything. I had to leave after two and a half hours to catch the train back to Belgrade - so plan carefully if you want to make the most of the information and enjoy the artifacts. A little bit of everything but with enough detail to learn from. Contrary to what other reviewers have said there must have been enough information in English, certainly with 19th and 20th century displays there were English flyers to read, the curator also introduced himself - probably thinking we had got lost or locked ourselves in a cupboard as we took so long to study the artifacts - and talked to us in English and to my wife in Serbian. Yes, my criticism of all Serbian museums is there isn't enough books and literature to buy at the museum shop in English, as most Europeans will have this as their second or third language. (Tesla's Museum in Belgrade is another example of overbooked tours for English speakers, but no printed material at all to buy in the shop- a marketing nightmare and lost income from tourists, who will spend more) . The best displays for me? . .. neolithic stone tools (rivalling the British Museum). .. Roman display and helmets (a world first in quality and quantity) even though I live near the old Roman City of Exeter, England, where we are all 'Romaned-out' . .. Traditional costumes, which seem much more vividly displayed than in the basement of the Belgrade Museum . . and of course the traditional pre-war farming implements. Out of ten, I would award this museum twelve points in a Eurocontest. . . . and of course I will return, if only for that missing half hour needed to walk down the traditional 'Serbian Street'. Many thanks to the team who put these exhibits together.

Interesting museum, cool exhibitions.

Surprisingly amazing museum. Has a great ethnographic collection dating back from the Neolithic. The collection has as key elements three fully decorated Roman helmets but the other elements like dresses, books and tools are also really good.

Awesome place, full of information. It is missing information in English, for the pieces exhibited without qr code was very difficult to translate, but the collection is AMAZING. I would recommend hire a tour guide.

A very small museum, which visit takes not more than an hour. It is divided into two sections the upper floor which containes a small selection of mainly western european pictures from the sixteenth to ninteenth century donated to the city by a local collector . The ground floor which unlike the upper floor is air conditioned showes a partly interactive exhibition about the town. Can be seen but do not except too much.

'The Collection of Foreign Works of Art' was for art and vintage lovers. There arent any real history museums in Serbia. No English signage.

A little bit disappointed. I went on a rainy Sunday and due to lack of personal the upstairs floor was closed which contained all the city history expositions. Also very important, on Google’s description it mentions the tunnels tour, but that’s not there. It’s on the history museum that’s located on the fortress. The ground floor contained a temporary small exposition of Andy Warhol.

I would say it’s a very great must-visit museum in town. They got a new exhibition of the city recently. Not big, but shows the whole history of this city clearly, using modern technologies like projectors and touchscreens. Everything is well organized and will deliver the visitors a brief but clear understanding of the history in a short visiting time. By the way, the staff is super nice.

Very pleasant experience! There's not too many things on display, but the exhibits have a story, which you can hear from the kind lady who works in the museum. You'll be able to see the works from the 16th and 17th century and I think it's beautiful being able to see history preserved like this. When you're done with the museum, you can stop by the nearby "Tesla" café or go to Dunavski park!

A small museum, but very interesting.

A beautiful state-of-the-art facility that is a cultural signature of Novi Sad. Great public transportation leading up to it. In it there are several spacious halls where music, opera and other theatrical events regularly happen. It is a walking distance from most Novi Sad attractions so it is very easy to visit. Several caffes and bars are located adjacent to it. An absolute must-see if you are visiting Novi Sad.

Truly enjoying shows at the theatre. Performances are so heartwarming, especially with the kids involved. Tons of variety and prices are so reasonable. Even if we don’t understand what they are saying we still enjoy the performance.

The Serbian National Theatre in Novi Sad is one of the oldest and most significant cultural institutions in Serbia. The biggest theatre in Novi Sad, if not in Serbia as well with three theatre halls, it has its own full time orchestra, ballet and theatrical groups. The price of individual tickets in 2018 are between 400 - 600 dinars, which is equivalent to 4-6 EUR. I love Serbian National Theatre. Great view on the stage from balcon. This time I wached NDT, it was so good, a cathartic and enlightening experience.

Groot theatergebouw met 2 zalen en kleine blackbox theaterzaal. De buitenzijde van het gebouw is gerenoveerd vanwege Novi Sad als culturele hoofdstad 2021. Binnen is theater nog gedateerd. Zo is de toneel machinerie (trekkenwand) van de grote zaal nog met de hand. Rond het toneel staan vele decorstukken opgeslagen. De theaterzaal heeft ca 950 stoelen.
