What an absolutely amazing Gem this is, steeped in so much history and this castle absolutely brings it to life. We bought our tickets online (recommended). The tour through the castle and all the decor, furniture and history we where exposed to was quite illuminating. The shop and tea room are interesting and highly recommended you visit during your visit. The gardens are absolutely beautiful and amazing. If you are in the area, it is highly recommended that you visit!

Had a lovely day out here. The Palace itself is stunning both inside and out, the QR code in each room to scan for information on it is a brilliant idea! Everything is so well kept. The grounds and gardens are immaculate too, obviously a lot of car and attention goes in to maintaining every aspect of the Palace, grounds and gardens. Seeing the peacocks displaying themselves all over was captivating, they're everywhere! An over all excellent experience (although we were sad there were no Highland cows when we were there)

Every person needs to visit Scone Palace. It truly is a little slice of paradise. The staff are lovely and there is a wonderfully welcoming atmosphere throughout the Palace and Palace grounds. The facilities are really clean and well maintained. The food and drinks are unbelievably tasty. Thank you for taking the time and care to look after this beautiful place. I'll definitely be back 💜

Great place to visit, very important to Scottish heritage. Thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Alison. The grounds are also lovely to walk around as was the medieval graveyard. Lovely gift shops with plenty on offer.

Interesting tour of the house, and enjoyed a walk around the lovely grounds. The maze is fun to try, worth looking at the map outside before going in. We had lunch in the cafe, very nice, also two gift shops. Loved all the peacocks outside the cafe area. Fab day

Went only to the gardens and the maze, because we were short on time. But it was so beautiful and well kept. There are peacocks everywhere. I think it's quite expensive (11 pound just for the gardens) but however they have to put a lot of effort into maintaining an area this huge. The toilets were very clean and smelled of lemongrass. I would love to come here again with more time.

Only visited the gardens and maze but well worth the trip. Extensive and interesting gardens, well laid out with plenty to see. Massive amounts of history, easy walks around the grounds, a genuinely fun and entertaining maze and some fascinating trees; giant redwoods and western hemlocks and scores of others. Not a cheap visit, but worth the entrance money (£11 each today, £17.50 for the palace & grounds)

Plenty of things to spend a day. Great historical place to visit and stroll. Take your time and walk the premises. The history of Scone palace is interesting. We also loved the garden and maze and the peacocks.

Great tour guides and cute store. But the best part is the history that you're seeing! And it's a self guided tour, so I could take my time wandering around. Part of the Historic Houses, so we got in free with the membership. Great peacocks and peahens

Had a lovely relaxing afternoon at Scone Palace. Costs about £10 each to enter, but you can stay as long as you like and go on the tour. The tour was really interesting and lasted about an hour. Definitely worth it. Nice cafe with outdoor seating. Lots of really nice options. The gardens are beautiful to walk around and there is also quite a challenging maze which it's quite fun. Best part is the many peacocks which roam about!

This is a sacred place where men became Kings. The Stone of Destiny is here as well as Robert the Bruce's sword. The Palace is actually currently someone's home... and it's unbelievable how many stunning antiques are on display. My favorite was the letter writing table of Marie Antoinette. Perfectly preserved. The paintings on the walls are stunning... giving us a glimpse into the lives of the nobility that lived there for many centuries. There's so much history to read about and a short film, gift shop and cafe. We spent a whole morning soaking it all in. Well worth the price of admission!

We stayed in the Belvaird for three days. Amazing place, exceeded our expectations, my wife and kids absolutely loved staying here. Under sold and over delivered! It was a privilege to get to stay in a place like this with so much history. The grounds were an unexpected bonus we just wanted to stay and explore. The tour of the rest of castle was awesome as well.

Scone Palace is a wonderful place to explore. The grounds are absolutely stunning. The kids loved the maze and the play park. We all enjoyed roaming around the gardens. Lots to see and do here for all the family

Ok but not great if you are thinking about going then only pay to see the grounds and take a picnic with you because the price for food is astronomical and nothing special. The palace itself you can't view the whole castle and so only a small area to view, you also cannot take pictures whilst inside so not worth paying the extra to see inside the castle.

Went to Scone Palace for Paws at the Palace event, the grounds are kept so well and the castle is just stunning to look at. Dogs are allowed in the grounds, so we had an amazing time at Paws at the Palace but unfortunately dogs are not allowed in the Palace itself so we couldn't look around that, but we will be going back to visit the palace without my dog. Also the free roaming peacocks were a great surprise when we saw them.

Magnificent palace, meticulous gardens including a maze. I wonderful way to spend a day in Perth. Watch the peacocks roam, walk the gardens and see the opulence inside.

Got access through the Snowdrop day garden charity scheme for free (donations only). Gardens were great to walk though, even in February. We will likely return during the summer.

Had a wonderful day walking around the gardens, mausoleum and exploring the palace. Staff are all so helpful,friendly, informative and have so much time for you. So much to see so will need to arrange a return visit,just arrive earlier next time, Just with the stagecoach buses (3&58) servicing the palace could service it better

Stunning place, Palace inside is very beautiful, I do love all of those family's pics gallery. Super friendly stuff . Greedy peacocks in the garden 🤣 they didn't want to leave alone an elderly man who was eating his sandwich, was so funny . The grounds very big nice map with 3 or 4 walks option to choose with distance and time show on the map so you can take the one it's suites you. Kitchen garden is absolutely stunning specially Daliahs.

Nice palace where Bishop used to leave in the 11th century and the place were Scottish kings used to get announced to throne! Loved the presence of peacocks, the loud cooing of the sound enriches the experience and also took the tour around the palace from dining place to the library,the crockery sets and the different other spread of the palace is amazing! The extended garden area with the walled garden,the kitchen garden and the maze stretch. The tall woodland trees with pines and other Canadian fir trees have blessed the area soo well. The souvenir shop was good.The story about the stone of the scone was soo exciting and also disappointing!! It has been misnomered as the stone of destiny.

There was a short wait before we could buy tickets (no more than 10 minutes) and the lady in the ticket box was very nice. We went on a beautiful day, which just made the Palace look even better, so I definitely recommend going on a nice day. We walked the gardens then went inside and the staff inside were very nice and helpful. Even if you aren't into the historic part of the Palace, the gardens are a must to see

Located in Perth Scone Palace is a beautiful palace with wonderful green gardens surrounding it. I recommend taking a stroll around and you can choose how long you want to walk as there are several paths to take. There is a coffee shop in the palace and their soup of the day (which was tomato basil) as well as their wild garlic scone was absolutely delicious. I can definitely recommend stopping at the Scone Palace.

Scone Palace was excellent, and worth the visit as a Historic Houses member. We benefited from a lovely introduction to the Stone of Scone by Lain and Finlay, they were very knowledgeable and funny and we loved it. They finished up by giving us directions and then we proceeded to the house. The house is amazing, with lots of information. Unfortunately, we found it to be information overload and just resorted to viewing pictures. But all the information is there for those who want it! Staff are very friendly. We walked around the red route, the path was very well laid out and directions were clear. Our only gripe is that we are magnet collectors and the magnet for this one is £6 for a small wooden hand made one. As this was double the average price we usually pay for magnets, we have reluctantly decided to not buy one. Special note: toilet facilities are excellent, hand and towels are premium, we wanted to buy this in the shop, however, £15 for 300ml of soap was also too steep. Hopefully we will win the lottery in the future.

A really lovely day out exploring the house and gardens. The gardens are amazing, so many gorgeous trees and plants to see and the epic Canadian redwoods are a real treat. The house is also a treasure trove with art, objects and a rich history although a thought for how the collection was brought together and some comment on the role of colonisation is certainly needed. The house and gardens was £18.50 each for an adult - Overall a great day out but a moderate price tag to do it all.

Great place for a visit. You can walk through the garden or go see the palace (different tickets). There is a beautiful maze and you can see that the place is cared for thoroughly.

The Black Watch museum is really an all in one experience. You have the museum to visit then the wonderful restaurant to enjoy. I visited on a Tuesday and it was pretty busy I paid £10 for the museum which is a day ticket so you can do the tour again the same day. The lady on duty advised me to book a table at the restaurant before I commenced my tour, that proved very good advice. The museum is terrific I went round twice to try and take in the information and history associated with the Black Watch. After my double tour I then enjoyed a lovely meal at the restaurant. If you like history you will love this place it is brilliant. I also found the staff very welcoming and helpful.

Though a little ways out from town, this is quite a welcoming and intimate place. The history surrounding this place is immense and beguiling, and I loved immersing myself in it during my trip here. Seeing the stately walls and verdant gardens, I felt a great warmth, an assurance that hospitality and elegance can prosper even this far in the frigid North in the winter. Note that the cafe bursts with energy and vivacity. After a long and frigid walk through the parks north of Perth, I was taken aback by such an eruption of light and conviviality. It's a wonderful little haven, and I greatly recommend the gift shops, which somehow feel more distinct and unique and gift shops I have seen elsewhere in Scotland.

Nice castle. Very good organised one-way system. A lot of useful information. There is also an opportunity to have a nice coffee or lunch.

Interesting place to visit to discover the history of one of the oldest Scottish Regiments. Even more interesting for us as my wife's Grandfather served in the Black Watch. Kids enjoyed hunting for the lego men hidden around the museum to spell out a word, for which they won a museum badge each. Nice little gift shop & cafe on site with a small play area for the kids, just outside.

Awesome museum in a beautiful castle and an awesome staff also, completing with little stories and explanations, loved it. A very fantastic and moving travel through the history of the regiment, its emblems, its wars and its soldiers. Would definitely come again in a few years.

Such a rich history! Take the guided tour it’s worth it. A family member was with the Black Watch in WWII , they took us to the archives upstairs to find personal references of commissioned ranks! A must to see if you are into history.

Quite nice place, we did not go inside the museum because of lack of time. But inside is small shop with souvenirs and small canteen where you can have lunch, snack or coffee. Nice gardens around. Good place to stop on way from Inverness to Edinburgh.

Attended a private function and it was fantastic. The staff were the highlight of the venue. So inviting, friendly and helpful. Stunning scenery and grounds. The museum is bursting with lovely merchandise. Definitely worth a visit

Great place with super friendly and chatty stuff, ladie at the tickets office was absolutely amazing. The tour started with a 6-minute presentation video, but don't worry, it's quite interesting, and time goes quickly. There are 11 galleries, and it's all very interesting.

Popped in for a quick bite and saw this amazing sculpture just outside the castle entrance. It's called The Hauntings. Very impressive. Food in the bistro was lovely good service and very clean. Very friendly staff.

Really thoughtful and excellent history and displays of the regimental development over the centuries, lots of detail and interesting artefacts, well laid out and with fun interactions. The cafe must be good as it was packed out when we went! A very worthwhile visit.

A great way to spend a morning or afternoon, learning the incredible history of The Black Watch. Very well curated and laid out, the exhibition was both enjoyable and informative. There was also a treasure trail that our kids enjoyed completing as we toured around. The Bistro Restaurant was a great way to end our tour, enjoying coffees and cake in a lovely environment with table service. The staff onsite were all lovely and friendly and there was a small carpark available with plenty parking nearby also. We took a short walk from town (about 15 minutes) and it was easy to find.

This is a big venue but there was a team of staff at the entrance checking tickets by scanning them and we were inside quite quickly. There is limited seating in the foyer but there is a drinks bar and a soft drink and snack bar available for refreshments and two sets of toilets. Easy access up to balcony and to main theatre. Very modern interior and well equipped to get the best out of the performance. We had tickets for row G 22 and 23, right in the middle and close enough to enjoy a stand up comic like Janey Godley.

Attending the Scottish Agritourism Conference 2023 at Perth Concert Hall was an absolute delight. The venue's elegant ambiance set the perfect tone for the event. From the carefully curated menu to the delightful tea and coffee selection, the culinary experience was top-notch. Despite the event's size, the staff handled everything with grace, offering quick and efficient service. Their politeness and helpfulness were truly commendable and created an atmosphere of warmth and hospitality. Highly recommended for a seamless blend of elegance, efficiency, and excellent service.

As ever this store and cafe is a treasure trove of deli and drinks from Italy. An absolutely superb range and knowledgeable welcoming staff. The cafe serves amazing coffee and cake as well as a wide range for lunch. The service is so friendly and polite an absolute joy and such a super change.

One of the better concert halls I've been too. Great sound and lighting, staff were friendly.

Great venue with easy access from several nearby car parks. E-tickets make everything very straightforward and quick on entry. Plenty of seating with good view and good quality sound wherever you are in the auditorium.

Went to see the Chicago Blues Brothers and it was brilliant. No problems getting tickets, or drinks, or getting to seats. Great experience!

An amazing venue and a truly professional team. Not only is it a beautiful building with great acoustics for concerts, but we recently held a Business Gateway Transform business festival there. Michaela and her team could not have been more helpful. On the day everything ran like clockwork and the professionalism of the team at the concert hall showed as it was so smooth and slick. I cannot recommend Perth Concert Hall highly enough if you want to run an event. A top venue to run an event in.

Great venue, very accessible in the centre of Perth. We had seats in the Upper Stalls, which were at the rear of the auditorium, up a few steps, still with a great view of the stage. We found the auditorium very warm. The queue for the toilets at the interval was relatively small & quick to navigate. The downside at the venue was the huge queue for soft drinks. This venue has adopted the £1 returnable plastic cup, which meant everything had to be poured into one. This takes time, too much time, when you are time constrained during an interval! I can understand adopting this process for alcoholic drinks, but when all we wanted was a can of juice (not even chilled), I object to being forced to adopt this process!

Fantastic venue. Good size. Accessibility is also good. Parking locally in multi-storey car park or on the street if lucky enough to get space. Lovely clean toilet facilities. Would say IF you have mobility issues the balcony is quite steep steps so I'd suggest ground floor.

Despite living in Perth for years, first time visiting this venue. Booked a disabled spot with carer seat to see a band. We had a great experience. Very spacious venue and friendly staff.

Excellent location for a Concert,ample car parking near by. Modern concert hall with ample circulation space, Staff very friendly and helpful. Seating very comfortable with plenty of leg room. Only complaint when we visited was pre concert coffee, very slow,long wait for coffee, staff did their best but lack of proper coffee machines let the place down .

This is a small local museum and art gallery but focused on the local area, with permanent exhibits on Perth and surrounding area, both natural and human history. The Roman period is well represented at the moment. There are lots to do for children in amongst the exhibits too. Went to see Joan Eardley exhibition which had a some artwork we hadn’t seen before. The small shop sells Scottish cards and gifts. The building itself is quite impressive outside and in. Worth a look.

Best place to know about Perth history. If you want to know the entire city history then do a visit. It's good source to learn about the history. If you are in Perth, please make sure to visit once.

Lovely museum. A lot of thought has gone into making it interactive and interesting, especially for kids. Free to enter (donations only). Not everything worked (mini catapult and scenes of the area) but didn't detract from the enjoyment. Amazing boat thousands of years old. Definitely worth a visit. Great find during a visit to Perth. Free to get in. We didn't need to book in advance. We spent about 45 minutes looking at art and artifacts learning about the history of Perth and its people. A room full of activities for kids although I only peeked inside so can't elaborate. Friendly staff. Can take photos inside as well 👍🏻

Great place to go to kill an hour or two for the day and best part is it is free. Although donations are welcome they are not mandatory.. Family friendly. During my most recent visit we were informed the museum is now renovating into the art gallery and are awaiting the new opening next year. Although it's quite different to our last visit there was still plenty of rooms and areas to see. There was also a fun Victorian day on where the kids could dress up, attend school 1800s style, practice old writing on slate and with ink pens. The gallery is well maintained and are are all clean, access to extra information is available aswell and staff are very helpful.

Very pleased that Perth Art Gallery will flourish and expand with the Museum having moved to what was City Hall. Fergusson Gallery has already been incorporated into the Art Gallery, with more art space to be developed soon. An opportunity to display more of their excellent collection!

It was my first visit as part of an evening talk. I had an opportunity to look around the recently refurbished museum and gallery. A wonderful space and beautiful collection. Also loved the kids space, definitely a place for me to take the kids soon. Good accessibility to the building with a wheelchair lift.

We're visiting Perth on short notice and today was a rainy day, so we decided to stop by the gallery (knowing nothing about it) so we could stretch our legs. We were very impressed. Our boys loved the creative area set up for kids (as did we). It was well thought out and inspired them to make and create. The shop was lovely and, in particular, has a great selection of books for kids and adults. I especially loved the selection of titles on Perth history and art. The galleries are limited at the moment, but they were perfect in every way all the same. The galleries are beautiful rooms, the artwork is gorgeous, and the tags and additional information printed on the gallery walls were interesting and thought-provoking. Some of the artwork had two tags and I found out the second set were written by students at a Perth school. What a great project, and enrichment for visitors to the gallery! You can even get a peek into the room where artwork is carefully packed up ready for when the new Perth Museum opens next year. What a treasure this gallery is!

Even tho most of the gallery was closed, we had a great time and are looking forward to come back once it is fully reopened. The staff was very welcoming and I won't give any spoilers but you should check the art in the loos!

I have always enjoyed a visit here. Our museum in Perth for many years and now Perth's Art Gallery. So lucky to have this lovely building. I was amazed on a visit how much had to be kept in storage due to shortage of suitable display space. i look forward to visiting the new museum and continue to visit the Art Gallery.

A small but really excellently curated exhibition. I loved the sculpture in the pink domed room. A bite-sized treat of a gallery at present.

Breathtaking views great walk

What a wonderful place, great views, great landscapes, great woods, it was amazing. You can go to Kinnoull Hill from Perth bus station using bus 16. And just start walking and enjoy the amazing views.

Magnificent views and scenery

This is a great wee hill. We parked at Corsie Hill Road. We went up the red/blue trail and came back down to the car on the red trail. Not too steep a walk, so I'd suggest this is a good starter hill for those wanting to get into hill walking. Amazing views once you're at the top. Took us around an hour with two tiny humans on our backs. We had our dog with us, and we met lots of dogs, some off lead. Be prepared for that if you have a reactive dog like ours or if you're nervous around dogs. 👍

Okay I am NOT a hill climber by any means and I thought this was a nice leisurely walk....Um NO,calling it a HILL is an understatment,its Mahoosive.What didn't help was we had to climb a hill to get to the hill in the 1st place.When we got there we just seemed to walk for ever and ever until finally we got to the top and OMG,It took my breath away.I haven't seen a more beautiful view in a long time.So brave the climb and your in for a treat.Make sure it's a clear day or your walk will have been for nothing.We sat at the top and enjoyed the view with a wee glass of bubbly and a sandwich.

Well worth the steepish and long walk up here.The views are breathtaking.One of the best views around along with queens view.If your visiting Perth and not been up here it's a must.

Love the walk and the astonishing view from the view point on the hill. It is just mesmerising.

The pool itself is decent enough, but the changing facilities and toilets are absolutely disgusting. The smell of urine is so strong in the changing area that it hits you half way down the stairs. In the gents toilets I was greeted with more delights in the form of a dirty nappy left for who knows how long. Really quite disappointed as like I said the facilities on the whole are fine. It is not rocket science to keep the place clean.

Have a live active card so discounts, entry fee depends on what is in operation, flumes, lazy river, outside pool etc . At its cheapest when just swimming. Swimming lessons, swimming club etc happen in the main pool everything else is in the leisure pools. Kids pools for very young. Plenty of different features to play with. Our favourite is swimming outside, it has the hottest water which makes it harder to swim back inside. There is an area upstairs which has a play area, seats and tables for snacks from various vending machines. People view all the pools from up here. You can buy a few items at the desk like swimming goggles. Changing rooms are cubicles so mixed, with lockers which need 50p coins to lock and it’s returned when opened. There are hairdryers available which run for one minute for 10p so bring coins. Everything is kept clean, especially the changing area. Expect leaves in the pool, they come in from the outside pool.

The positives are that the depth of pool is good and it has plenty of features. It was busy but that is to be expected during the summer holidays. The staff were also friendly and happy to exchange coins for 50p to use the lockers. There was also lifeguards everywhere that seemed to be keeping a vigilant eye on the water. There were a couple of negatives though. The first was the announcements were difficult to understand and the sirens that played after left me with a headache. The next was the lack of showers and I had to wait in a queue before using the showers. The final issue which is the main problem I had was there was so many dead flies in the pool. While it wasn't too bad within the indoor pool, the outdoor pull was covered in large dead flies floating on the surface of the water. Once I noticed one, I could see so many. This was extremely off putting and cut the session short as no matter where I was in the pool, every few minutes I would be trying to move away flies.

For under 5s this is a decent pool. Nice fun area with 2 easy slides and a slightly deeper pool with 1 good slide. The rest of the pool is ok. 2 decent flumes, an ok river rapids and an outside pool. The flumes are frustrating though as they only seem to open for 10 minutes at a time before closing for about 30 minutes. There didn't seem to be any reason and it was just really unfair on the kids. Unfortunately when we went, the whirlpools were closed.

Wee one loved the pool, only thing was there was loads of people in and then they put in the big floating things so u kept getting hit with them. You couldn't hear the announcements. Found out after there was people taking pictures in the pool which I didn't like the idea off....... Pool had loads of leafs from outside but other then that was quite clean, lots to do with kids in the pool and seems well looked after.

Has 2 flumes, a gentle rapid area, nice temperature and enjoyable outside loop. Baby/kids looked fun. Floats avaliable but not really space for them. Queues for flumes not signposted but are separate for the 2 flumes. Good flumes, would enjoy more of them. We were a group of 2 adults and a 12 year old and not enough excitement

A good sized pool with an outdoor area and plenty to do. The staff here were friendly and helpful. I think the thing letting this pool down is cleanliness. The changing area had a layer of dirt/mud/water all over the floor and the pool had mess floating in it as well. I went on a Saturday and I also found it a little bit too busy to be fully enjoyable.

Been going here for years. Hasn't changed at all. Still love it. Very busy. Always well staffed. Never have to wait long to get in. Although I do miss the cafe. And being able to sit and have a drink after the swim. First time I have been and outdoor pool closed.

I loved this place as a child and I love it just as much as a father. Making swimming fun for children is so important and Perth Leisure pool manages this brilliantly, for kids of all ages. The range of classes and lessons available suits our needs perfectly.

Very, very busy with a lengthly wait to gain entry. (It was a school holiday.) Very good pool facilities. Loved that you could swim outside too! However, changing cubicals are way to small for 1 adult & 1 child. Good visit all round.

We travel from Rosyth, its probably one of the best pools in Scotland. Flumes, slides, outdoor pool, rapids, waterfall, areas for all age's. Always busy, the pool has been the same for many years. Would be nice to see it been expanded. Has the potential to be a great indoor water park.

First time here with my granddaughter (5YO). She thoroughly enjoyed herself. Chute, flume, water cannons, swim inside and out. It's worth a visit. Armbands were available for borrowing and a good paddelingarea for younger children also. Nice area for spectators also.

Went this morning with our family. Really lovely pool. So many great things for the kids - dedicated baby pool, lots of different slides, outdoor pool, quieter shallow kids pool. The water temperature is great and showers are warm. Everyone had a fantastic time. Just to note, it was quite busy and we found the only food available is from the vending machines although there is a seating area with high chairs and microwave should you bring your own food. 100% a great day out. Very affordable and very fun!

Took the family here, it was very well priced and the parking was super cheap. We ended up being there for three hours and we were free to just spend as much time as we wanted. Facilities were great with loads to do.

We thoroughly enjoy coming here. Parking was just 30p for nearly 2 hours. Changing rooms were clean and the water wasn't too cold. My eldest was up and down the slides constantly. Staff were also great at stopping folks filming from the balcony.

Kids had a great time and the free parking on a Sunday was a really nice surprise. Feel like it needs up dated as its still the same from when I was a kid ( 20 ) years ago. A few missing tiles in the pool as well.

I used to go here as a kid on holiday from Brum in the 90s. I loved this place so much and still have very fond memories of it. Sorry to hear it's not what it used to be, but it was so much fun back then and still looks so much better than anything around here nowadays that I'd still recommend it despite not being there for over 20 yrs 😂

Great place to take the family for a swim! Very friendly staff, plenty of things to do in the pool (can't wait for the outdoor part to open).

Overall an ok experience. It gets a lot of people through the door because it's the only one of its kind around, but there's a significant state of disrepair around. I understand not wanting to heat up an outdoors pool in January, but it was still disappointing that none of the jacuzzis (not even the one in the health suite) were working. We were looking for a bit of fun and relaxation and instead we found heavy political monologues in the sauna (not the centre's fault but it added to the experience), ran down environments, faulty equipment, and nowhere to sit down and have a snack/drink once you've been in the pool. e.g. You're telling me that if I just need a drink from the vending machines I need to change out if my bathing suit, have my drink, and then change back into it to go into the pool?! This place could be absolutely brilliant if it was maintained and managed properly, but it seems to have stayed in the past. It was brilliant before having tried other places like this one across Europe, but seeing how easily others can make waterparks brilliant places all year round, makes it a bit sad that this one doesn't seem to be keeping up.

Arrived 10:10 and got into pool 10:20. Forced to leave 11:00. No Flumes, No Outdoor Pool, No Jacuzzi, No Whirlpool. Rubbish value. Plus I am 100% sure that once you paid your parking, you would be let out automatically without scanning again at exit. When did this change!

Not the biggest garden , but still definitely worth a visit. The amount of plants packed in these garden is unbelievable. We visit in September so most of the plant already finished they blooming, but it was still a lot to look at . Service from stary to end was absolutely amazing, Ladies at the ticket office was absolutely amazing . Then we treated ourselves cream tea in a coffee shop, again Service was superb, scones freshly baked with local jam. Variety of plants to buy in the gift shop .

Beautiful setting for the gardens, amazing little gem well worth the money. Cafe in grounds a lovely spot and view for a cuppa. same as the castle you should do a 3 for the price of 2 offer .. I would have bought it.

We stopped by here when we were passing through Perth. What a beautiful sanctuary! I have never seen such a variety of plants so beautifully arranged within a city garden. Everyone we met was friendly and welcoming. The tea room was closed, but it looked like a delightful place. We would love to return someday.

What a lovely little treasure. A wonderfully landscaped garden in a beautiful location, we found it full of colour and interest even in October. Really nice café too, with the opportunity to sit outside in nice weather.

It was absolutely the best , would love to go back again , very nice and helpful staff . There wasn’t any entry price when I checked the website but there was a charge . Only a pound for a young scot holders which was very very good and worth it so much . Visited in May .

Interesting and beautiful garden in Perth. A calming, peaceful place with a very good coffee shop with outside seating (shady and sunny). Signage TO the garden sends pedestrians via the car park, making for a needless detour. Clarification needed - some folks walk to places!! In fact, the walk from the city centre is a treat in itself!

Small, but stunning, National Trust for Scotland gardens. Wide variety of plants to view, in a compact location. Small outdoor cafe with lovely views over the gardens.

Remarkable gardens. Varied collection of rhododendrons, himalayan poppies, succulents and alpines set in the grounds of a lovely house with a very pleasant tea room. Definitely worth a visit, though it's a bit if a walk from the car park.

Beautiful Garden, good selection of flowers, shrubs and trees. Only £7.50 per adult. Both staff from gift shop and cafe were friendly and inviting. Nice wee tea room that sells a variety of teas, coffee, cans of juice and afternoon tea cakes. I opted for a slice of banana and cinnamon cake along with a cup of english breakfast tea, you get a tea pot, so you can get 3 cups from it.

Vow , a place that can go simply unnoticed, just outside Perth and feels like you are in heaven , we had a lovely day when we visited , a small cafe in a lovely old house and the gardens were amazing , the flowers were at their best sun shining and could not ask for more ! If you like plants gardens or simply just peaceful time to your self to visit

I love this garden. Each head gardener has brought their own vision of the garden while respecting the design of the original owner-gardener. Always a new plant to learn about, benches to be peaceful on and a cracking scone and coffee.

A great location to stop off on the way out of Perth. The gardens are very well managed and described. Tea & cake on the lawn is a MUST. Highly recommended

We were lucky with lovely weather but the gardens are stunning. Incredible colours and so well tended. Even though they don't cover a huge area there is a great deal to see. There's also a great wee tearoom and shop, a selection of plants available to purchase and all the staff we spoke to were very friendly and helpful.

Nice little spot for a couple of hours max unless weather is good and you make use of garden space for Picnicking. Well preserved castle for its age go so the painting before the woodworm eats it all

Really interesting. Wouldn't normally pay to walk around an old building, but this was worth doing. Lots of things to investigate. Great stories around the various room walls. I thought the roof was best part, as really old but well maintained - the roof edge's are quite scary (low walls and very high up) so take care.

Well worth a visit. Managed by Historic Scotland and free to English Heritage members. Includes spiral staircases, painted decorations on some ceilings as well as wall murals. Able to climb to top of tower roof. Visited by Mary Queen of Scots whilst she was married to Darnley. No furniture. Has several small rooms on each floor housing a medieval toilet. Only a small area to park, but when we visited in September the castle was virtually empty. Toilets and small gift shop.

A great example of a tower, with a bonus, there’s two of them. Entry is by a small road with a car park that tries to maximise the number of cars by having diagonal parking bays. The idea is to drive right up into the castle ground and turn around before parking. Means just reverse to get out. If you do reverse park instead you need free space to do a 5 point turn or more to get out. Alison in the ticket office is great, enthusiastic and informative as well as helpful. A little shop there (of course) and a toilet block. The whole castle is open, top to bottom. The best is great hall with painting ceiling and walls in parts. Quite a climb up both towers on circular staircases with handrails. There are panels to explain the most important features and events. There is a doocot (dovecote ) at top of one tower. Unusual to have one actually in the castle.

Lovely place to spend an hour. The staff are fantastic and very knowledgeable. There are lovely paintings still visible on the walls and wood and you can get a great view from the accessible roof. The kids enjoyed a exploring this small castle and grounds.

Took a wee trip to Perth to visit the castle with my Grandson. We travelled from Glasgow to Perth on the bus then a bus from Perth centre to the castle. I bought a guidebook otherwise we wouldn’t know much about Huntingtower. Didn’t spend more than an hour as it is pretty small but we enjoyed exploring the nooks & crannies inside. The bats must’ve been asleep when we visited!

Huntingtontower Castle is another place with a great story and some interesting architectural aspects. We visited on a Thursday at about ten after noon, and it wasn't busy at all. We were the only visitors for most of our time there. You can buy a guidebook at the entrance for about £7, or £8 if you adding a donation. We donated.. it's a great little castle and they maintain it well. Maybe it was the smaller size or the solitude, but it's a place that really gets you thinking about how people must have lived and what went on there.

Very informative young lady was very informative not only on the hunting tower but other local sites around the areas I was traveling to. It was much appreciated.it is well worth a visit.

This is an amazing little castle. I love that you can go everywhere and imagine how life must have been 500 years ago. Terrific wooden ceilings. Steep and narrow staircases. Fantastic. The host, Allison was great. She gave us a few historical facts. We bought the Historic Explorer Pass for £44 each, which gives you free access to multiple Castles incl this one. Simply a better deal.

Wonderful experience visiting this castle! To be honest, it is not like a castle cause it's not as large as I imagine, I wanna say it can also called 'Huntingtower House'. The fact is that it was a castle hundreds of years ago, but for now, only two towers left. The castle itself is relatively well preserved, and I can climb up layer by layer until the top of the open air. The history of the castle is also very interesting. The original owner imprisoned James VI for treason and was beheaded. Then the castle went to the second owner and was even sold as a dormitory for workers. In short, it is a castle worth visiting in Scotland, not far from the city center of Perth.

We got here early (around 10.30)so we had the place to ourselves, which was brilliant. The castle itself is a typical small Scottish castle but with some unique features. There are stairs to all levels of the castle, including the roof. The lady in the shop was most friendly and informative. We spent about an hour here

What a gem! We LOVED this castle. Unfortunately, because tour buses can not park here, it seems to miss the tourist route, but locals and tourists alike should not miss out. It has intriguing history, an excellent opportunity to climb the spiral staircases up to the very top of the roof (allowing for a closer inspection of the drainage up there, which is fascinating in its own right), it has original painted scenes on some walls, beautifully preserved stonework and a lovely greenspace that we shall be back to enjoy in summer. I'd encourage everyone to purchase an Historic Scotland membership and get free entry to lots of venues for free! That includes Stirling Castle, Edinburgh Castle, Huntingtower, St. Andrews Castle and St. Andrews Cathedral and MUCH more.

Fascinating insight to social history, but of limited interest to little ones if the interactive exhibits are out of action.

Interesting wee gem hidden out of the way. A few interactive exhibits which kids can enjoy (and get soaking wet too😁) and a few well presented areas and informative videos. Beautiful building and gorgeous surroundings. Staff were polite and helpful and the whole place was very tidy and well maintained.

Pity we visited the Mills during closed season, however we still learned a lot and the whole place is enchanting

The mill is a short drive away from the A9, through the village of Stanley down by the River Tay. It’s a big river here so easy to understand why it was built here. Plenty of parking and a short walk to the museum. All the buildings beside the parking are converted mill buildings with flats inside. So the museum is only a small part of the whole site but still worth a walk all round. Inside the museum there are several halls over three floors each with a different function. There are interpretations of the history and all the processes used at the site along with some original machinery. There was an exhibition of Scottish rock carvings on the top floor, with very good pictures of the best sites and descriptions of these mysterious markings. It must have been a huge mechanical feat to power all the machines in the place. Refreshments available together with a small shop.

Fantastic local history museum. Staff are great - knowledgeable, friendly, helpful. Can even dress up 👍🏼.

Stanley Mill has been beautifully restored, the building is gorgeous. The staff there are helpfull, knowledgable and very pleasant. My wife and I took our 3 boys with us and we all had a great day out. Unfortunately, much of the buildings are now residential, so, although it looks huge, there is only really 1 building to explore. There are still a decent amount of rooms and floors to visit though, and you'll spend between and hour and 2 exploring. There is a lot of information and displays, however, many of the interactive buttons don't work. If the buttons had worked and there had been a cafe, I'd have scored it 5. It's a great place but it could be better. If you do visit, there is a walk down to the river, just walk along the road to Stanley House, before you reached the private gate, there is a path on the right heading to the river. It's a nice circular walk that brings you back out on the grassy hill above the mills. Taking your time and enjoying the scenery, the walk will take about 45 minutes.

This was a fascinating place to visit and a total surprise as found it by accident staying overnight in the area having been up/down A9 many times in past. Beautiful setting and 1st class preservation of industrial heritage.

This is probably one of Historic Scotland's most interactive and educational sites. It is easy to find, easy to park and navigate. The welcome from staff is wonderful and there are 4 floors to explore. Children would love having the ability to touch and turn and make the machines in the mill work. I cannot fault it. Well worth the visit.

A nice outing. Grounds were lovely although most of the interactive displays were not working.

Good day out but some of the exhibits need some maintenance. Two of the water wheels in that hands on bit were too stiff for the water to turn. Please oil them! Don’t expect to spend the whole day in the museum as it’s quite small but the grounds are nice for a walk afterwards. Friendly staff and a nice shop.

The castle is stunning and magnificent but has been recently under construction, so it was closed as of November 2023. A wonderful, peaceful location.

Currently closed (April 30th 2023) probably for some safety works due to the visible scaffolding at the entrance; but nice to look at the outside and take some pictures.

Sadly still closed as HES checking stability of stonework at high levels. Orchard trees heavy with crop. Hope someone is planning to harvest them. Great childhood memories here of keeper telling ghost stories of chains being dragged down the steps. Appreciate the stonework checks closure but think it’s a year since my last visit found castle closed. Some indication of completion would be good.

Lovely atmosphere, staff friendly, enjoyed dropping in for a drink while staying at the campsite.

Nice wee place. The bar area is realy small and had an issue at first trying to get my room sorted. The signal around the area isn't great so WiFi is important. The continental breakfast was shocking the pasties were lacked in imagination no pan au chocolate or even croissants. I thoroughly felt let down by the breakfast. The 3 stars were because of the helpful staff and the good shower.

How shocking! Bob the manager was not welcoming at all. He was moaning he wouldn't pay the chef to cook for customers! He was leaving sharp 9pm and not serving a minute after that! I've never been to such an awful establishment in my life! Do not go there even his t-shirt was grey and not ironed. He said he would look after me yesterday when I phoned yesterday and when I said you would look after me he said that was yesterday! Shocked us an understatement.

Very nice room and friendly staff, however apart from continental breakfast NO other food available, no chef therefore no cooked breakfast or evening meal. Receptionist did make us some toasted sandwiches.

We stopped in here for a drink since we were staying a few nights at the caravan and camping club site a few mins walk away. Staff were really lovely and helpful and price was very reasonable too (we did get a 10% discount due to staying at the site next door).

Decent friendly small hotel, food was very good and reasonably priced, good selection of lager, wine and spirits, definitely a place to stay if your at the races or a base to explore the area.

Just came in our of the rain to meet a relative for a coffee. Greeted by one of the Management team. Were closed but offered us a seat and drinks. Dog friendly. Met several staff members. All very friendly. One even offered to take a picture of us. Decent WiFi and tasty coffee and beverages!

Very quiet only chef and housekeeper on duty but looked after well with bar and food. Good as could take dog with us in bar area. Didn't stay in hotel just used the bar for drink and food. Good location for camp site next door.

Like staying with family! Never felt so welcome at a hotel, and believe me we travel a lot! All staff were lovely. Nick made us feel like royalty. Ross the chef, and dog lover, made a huge fuss of our dog and all the others that were staying! His food was amazing! Better than some Michelin star places we've been to! I'd return for the food alone! Room was modern, clean, comfortable and had everything you need. Only downside was view of a fence and shipping containers, but this didn't spoil it too much and could easily be sorted with some nice gravel and plants. A huge thumbs up and a big thank you to everyone! We had a great time and will definitely be back.

Fab night to see Girls Night Oot! Venue was clean and the staff ensured covid measures were put in place. Drinks were reasonably cheap too.

We Saw Jack and the beanstalk with our granddaughter after Christmas and it was a very good performance. All the actresses and actors were great and seems like all the seats offer good views in the theatre ( first time in the theatre ) During intermission we had drinks and bought a baby Chino for the little one. Great service there too and good quality. Thanks for the wonderful experience.

Like what to me was the new look, well laid out enjoyed Joseph by Ad-Lib Arts a magic show. The staff were happy to help so very good.

We had a lovely night watching The Man in the Submarine by Laila Noble. The theatre building is contemporary and the staff lovely.

Myself and my family visited your theatre to see Aladdin, which was fantastic! Abbie on the bar was just wonderful. She was so kind and so helpful, nothing was too much for her. You are a great asset to your team, well done Abbie!

My wife had a BIRTHDAY panto night with our family , and to say it was wonderful is putting it very mildly. The performance was fantastic, and the theatre staff were incredibly helpful. I was going to single out particular actors and staff, but I know my list would include the whole of the people at the theatre last night, and I don't have enough time. We as a family have always gone to the Kings, in Glasgow, to see Elaine C Smith but we will now be following Perth panto. Thank you and all the people involved in the production for a great night.

We went to the panto launch night and it was absolutely amazing from staff and atmosphere to the panto it's self I would have to say this has been an amazing night.

The theatre is very nice on the inside, and very clean and well kept. The staff are friendly - the only downside is the price of the drinks and snacks, but that's expected at a theatre. The show I saw was brilliant, too.

Lovely place, we watched the Aladdin pantomime and we all loved it. The food and facilities are great too. Very accessible for buggies and plenty of space to leave them too.

Went to see the Pantomime with trip to Scotland with Lochs and Glen's. Theatre staff did not seem very organised about our seating arrangements but the panto was brilliant.

Went to see Casablanca, the Gin Cuts last night. What an absolute load of trash. Should be giving refunds. Thank goodness it was short.

Just attended The Time Machine at the wonderful Perth Theatre. Madcap and amazing. We'll done to the amazing cast.

A bit different, few good laughs but no enough for my liking. The three artists were accomplished actors who delivered a sharp script to a sparse but appreciative audience.

Little gem hidden in the town. Plenty to look at, can light candles & commune with God. Atmospheric and beautiful, no charge but request donation to help with upkeep and renovations

If you are interested in Scottish History then its work a look. John Knox preached there - but it has been much changed and modernised since then so not much to see in that regard. However worth a look in its own right.

It was lovely to see all the the restoration last time we wer there was April 2011 they wer working on the pillar the apprentice made so great to see it all in its glory.wecwer sorry to hear William the cat has gone over the rainbow bridge he was beautiful.and will be missed. It was an amazing day and the staff are all really friendly thank yous all for a great time

Friendly helpful staff. Good information sheet showing details of ie stained glass windows, war memorial displays. Really historical. Great window to the 51st HD (Highland Division) and Flag of the Burma Star Association by a Memorial corner. Impressive.

Absolutely beautiful church from the 1100s. We were given a free brochure by the delightful elderly ladies who were attending on the day we visited.

This ancient church has beautiful architecture and acoustics as well as historical significance.

Beautiful art pieces.The staff was lovely and everything was nicely displayed.You can also buy some magnets which is a nice way to remember the place.

A very nice location, especially if you want to see the Greyfriars Burial Ground first and then continue onto the Railway Bridge on the Tay Viaduct to the other river bank to enjoy a walk by the river on a trail surrounded by sculptures and installations.

A fun look at some of the paintings and drawings from Fergusson and the woman who was his muse.

Combine an interesting Scottish painter and his partner with an amazing building, and you have a place well worth an hour's visit - it's small, but well formed, and as I would expect in a civilised country, free. The building used to be the city's water tank . The top part and the dome contained tens of thousands of gallons in a circular cast iron tank with a concrete bottom. Big enough to make a small art gallery room ! It was built in the Victorian era by a city council who realised that a clean and safe water supply was critical to the success of the city. (Private enterprise was busy polluting the Tay.... Ah me, would that those times were past, eh ? ) But it became redundant as the city grew, but again, a forward thinking council drove a regeneration into an arts space in the early 2000s. Fergusson was mates with Picasso et al in 1907 to 1914, which shaped his style, and met his life long partner, a dancer Margaret Morris, who he drew, painted and sculpted many times over his lifetime - which you can see here. She was focussed on creating a fusion of classical dance with Scottish storylines, and they both worked in Glasgow as they felt Edinburgh wasn't Celtic enough. Unique. Definitely worth a visit.

Great facility in Perth that sadly isn't open all through the week/year. Think it's Thursday to Monday and March to October plus specífic art club viewings and sales.

I heard lot of positive reviews from people. I am excited to visit the gallery but sadly it was not opening from last few days.

It's a small gallery, and you might spend no more than 20 minutes here, but what's the harm in that? Come and observe a wonderfully innovative use of old architecture, and discover for yourself the delight of Fergusson's art.

Have passed in the car many times and always wanted to visit. Put time aside to steady my nerves before my Covid booster to visit. So glad I did! I love the work of the Scottish Colourists but am ashamed to say that I hadn't registered the link in my brain. Lady on reception was so lovely. Very friendly and knowledgeable. I spent a really enjoyable hour or so in this quirky building enjoying some beautiful art and learning a lot about JD Fergusson and Margaret Morris. Took my mind off the vaccination. A very worthwhile visit.

Brilliant art gallery showing one of Scotland's leading colourist s. Well worth a visit. The staff are lovely. Although you are not allowed to take the staff home with you, you can pick up some nice prints and other nick knacks

I can't stand this place. It's cold. The Costa is never open when you need it. There is nothing nearby to wait for a train. It's a depressing hole that I unfortunately find myself waiting ages in when getting from Inverness to Dundee. The local hotels are "closed to the public" what the hell is going on?

A rather beautiful station comparable to lots of the stations in England. Even though my time was short there for just a train change, it's quite the station and had the facilities. I love the architecture here. There were toilets and vending machine available here. Ramps and elevators are available for accessible routes to change platforms. Trains heading to Dundee or Aberdeen will usually be at platforms 1-3 meanwhile trains towards Inverness goes from platforms 4-7.

Nice city with great open spaces especially running along the banks of the river Tay. Also home to North Inch golf course one of the oldest in the world

The train station in general is a great place and is well kept unlike many train stations but the only reason for the 2 stars is because of the staff. I was on a train home from Edinburgh to inverness and we were told we had to all get off the train at Perth due to a track inspection at first I thought this isn't good but I had plenty of time to get to my destination at the time. I spoke with 5 different staff members each 1 didn't have a clue what was going on and I was getting told 3 different stories. the main person said we had to get a bus that will arrive in 45 minutes at this stage I thought its fine ill still not miss my next train. the bus was 1 hour late I was not impressed I was not only going to miss my next train I potentially wasn't getting home. and to top it all off when I arrived at inverness, they told me the train arrived 45mins late but had I stayed on the train I would have gotten in with time to spare. really irritated at the lack of communication between the railways and even more annoyed that Perth railway busses was 1-hour late absolutely ridiculous.

The station staff are friendly and helpful, ensuring a smooth and pleasant travel experience. With regular train services and good connectivity to major cities, Perthshire train station is a reliable transportation hub for both locals and visitors alike. Paid Parking facilities available.

Lovely city, plenty to see with a variety of shops. Lots of good dining options, wether for a quick bite or something more substantial. Check what's on at the concert hall, it's a fantastic venue, and be sure to have a walk along the river its beautiful.

It's a nice station, but should have better waiting rooms for when it's cold. And don't get me started on the fact that most evenings I find myself requiring assistance but there aren't any staff in the station!! Terrible. Well good luck with your delays with the conductor needing to get the ramp 😁😁 Your fault haha!!!!!

Station not as large and beautiful as Stirling however seems to be about the same age as the Stirling station. Able to get a direct train to Stirling but you can rarely get back to Perth from Stirling on a direct train. The station also has very visible vending machines where you can get soft drink for £2.20.

Trains usually on time. Friendly, helpful staff. There's a Costa and heated waiting rooms. No cash machine though.

Nice large station, services between Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Dundee and Inverness can be boarded at this station. The local bus station is about 2 minute walk away.

Perth Railway Station could easily be a heritage railway station it has not changed that much over the years. If you like a historic railway station this is a good one. You can tell that Perth is very central as there are seven different platforms. I found the directions easy to follow. If you have mobility issues distances between platforms could be challenging. The day I visited it was a day of sunshine and heavy showers. I was glad there was good shelter in the station.

Small church right in the middle of Dunning village. Opposite the pub and just next to the bridge. You can park for free in the street here with no parking restrictions. This is an old and interesting church with small grounds. Very peaceful.

A very large part of Scotlands history... Must see if in Perthshire and please make a donation as no entry fee.

Knowledgeable guide. Excellent medieval tower. Super original Celtic cross with crisp carvings inside, framed by an elegant archway.

The church itself is nothing out of the ordinary; however, the location is kind of an oasis in the middle of the busy main road through the village. It is nice to walk about the graveyard before visiting the church and listening to the explanation about the Duplpin Cross. The person that guided us was extremelly knowledgeable and very entertaining.

For anyone interested in Scotland's early history and prehistory this is an essential site to visit. The 3 metres high cross depicts King Constantine of The Picts, who ruled at the beginning of the AD 800s and some of his warriors, as well as lovely carvings of a harpist and various hunting dogs and other animals. It really conveys the inclinations of King Constantine son of Fergus. The beautiful church in which the cross stands is itself ancient, from the 1100s and is full of curious memorials dating back hundreds of years. The graveyard is also full of fascinating old graves. The village of Dunning is gorgeous as is the surrounding area, nestling in glorious Gleneagles, the great glen running from Perth to Stirling. The lady guide is very helpful and knowledgeable. I recommend purchasing the pamphlets offered about the area which are very interesting. Dunning/Forteviot was the capital of the Southern Picts. The area also seems to have been very important going back to Neolithic and Bronze Age Times with a huge timber monument having been constructed in antiquity.

Very helpful guide. Relevant literature available for purchase. OK for 2 year old though Dunning was even better for him with nice play park in walking distance by golf course.

The Dupplin Cross is just wonderful. In many years of sightseeing we have never met such a delightful, friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide.

You can only visit the church and see the Pictish stone from April to October. That's a shame. We weren't the only disappointed visitors standing outside either.
