It's a very nice beach but, there are no change rooms, paid showers with coins only and extremely overpriced umbrellas. The view on the mountain is very nice but water could be quite murky at times.

Crazy beautiful beach. We went in April so it was very quiet. It's clearly set up for holiday makers. Turquoise sea, white sands, mountain (or at least a big hill) in the background.

I nice place to go with your family and kids for vacation. You can see both the sea as well as the big mountain to the side which is an intresting view! Very close you'll find Zingaro Reserve which is simply amazing. However be prepared to walk a lot till those pristine beaches.

We loved San Vito lo Capo, we came in October and it had such a chilled vibe, lots of international tourists but not many Americans which was great, the sand is like sugar and the water is crystal clear. It rained the few days we were there but it didn't take away from the beauty of the place.

The most gorgeous beach I have ever been to! My first time here was 40 years ago. The water is magnificent. The view is spectacular. The sand is clean and soft. Pull up and rent two chairs and an umbrella from any of the local stands. Sit back and enjoy the sun. There are locals that can help you order food, drinks, desserts and amazing pizza! It is a magnificent beach, very shallow for a while, so may be hard for swimming extensively, but also very very clean. This beach 🏖 is by Sicilian standard a 6 stars and San Vito maybe 4, then a 2 when you consider it’s a tourist trap. There are chairs and umbrella to rent if desire or you can simply set your own little space. The parking is free and there is a food truck serving good panini (4 €) and drinks (2.50 - 3.50 €) for a reasonable price. You need to walk to the beach or take a little train that would bring you to it or the nearest beach (Cala Bove) a bit further. If you need help, to get closer you can ask the gate keeper to open the gate for you so you can bring your car closer to disembark, and bring back your car to the parking lot, once done.

We drove all the way from Palermo to San Vito Lo Capo for the couscous festival. We arrived about 1 pm and the place was not what I expected, it was very quiet not much happening. We were told that there is only three booths selling couscous. We found a booth selling a variety of couscous and it cost €12 for a plate of couscous, a glass of wine/water and bitters/coffee. The food was nice but not amazing.

I was in San Vito from the 10th to the 22nd of September. During the Cous cous fest the town becomes a sort of "Rimini", with music on the beach from 3pm onwards, which became very loud techno/disco music from 11pm to 1.30am on Friday and Saturday. The other days the techno/disco music played until half past midnight. This happened with a special permission from the police, as the Comandante explained to me. The food is not really good. For 10 euros you can get much better stuff in any "bar" or "tavola calda". Before and during the Cous cous fest, garbage has remained for days outside the house (Via Meli), even though I took great care in following the detailed instructions provided by the authorities and repeated every evening (in Italian of course) by a car with a loudspeaker. Dogs, cats, and goats could repeatedly enjoy the rests of our meals and we could enjoy the sight of broken garbage bags. The beach was almost every day full of seaweeds and other rests from the sea. It seems that neither the municipality nor the persons who rent the beach umbrellas are responsible for cleaning the beach, which I thought is a regular service in touristic areas (at least I have seen it on the Adriatic coast). Even though the sun, the food and the people were nice, I won't go again to San Vito Lo Capo.

Awful place in terms of food and drinks, incredibly overpriced. The beach is nice and clean but definitely do not eat here or order cocktails, they messed up even a simple aperol spritz. Also very rude, basically throwing the things you ordered on the table. Definitely go to some other place in San Vito (or here only for the Beach chairs). Disappointing that they waste the opportunity to do something a bit nicer, but I guess there's no lack of people looking for spots in this beach.

We booked 4 beds and 2 umbrellas last min at this lido. We are accustomed to paying a minimum of $50 euro for 2 beds and an umbrella so pricing at $38 for 2 beds and an umbrella was fair. However, I have never been met with ruder service than I was met with here. The old woman who “watches” the bathroom screamed at my daughter and brought her to tears for not flushing the toilet (she did flush there was nothing left in the toilet except a small piece of paper, the lido clearly was having water problems that day as the two showers right next to the toilet she used were out of service). Then she was mad that my son came into the bathroom with sandy feet to wash his hands and face (umm everyone’s feet were sandy it’s a wood cabana structure not a marble bathroom). We paid for a lido instead of just chairs and umbrellas on the free beach to be able to use bathroom “amenities” not to be made to feel like unwelcome Americans. She finally changed her tune after I put her in her spot with Sicilian dialect in front of the rest of the line of people (I immigrated to America when I was a child but still have the language). For reference we have spent 9 weeks over the last 3 summers in Sicily and booked a lido almost every single day during those 9 Weeks at the same price point or higher. For most lidos, we have been repeat customers and I have never ever written a review like this about any of them. Spend your money elsewhere. Also, the “panini” at the snack bar were gross.

Nice clean and tidy place. WiFi only at the bar area. We pitched 1 tent, 2 adults and 2 motorcycles for 21€ and for that money you still have to pay 70 cents per hot shower! If it wasn't for that it would have got 5 stars. One bonus is it seems to be open all year round.

We stayed in an apartment for one week during the Christmas holiday. We loved the location because it's really close to the climbing crag (only one minute walk to the first routes). The apartment itself was a bit disappointing. There was only one old picknickplaid in the closet which you could use as a blanket, but there were no real blankets (and in December, you really want one). The shower leaked, so the floor of the total bathroom was always wet, the water even got into the hall. Because winter temperatures the water on the ground didn't dry. Good to keep in mind that there are no towels (we misread that on the website), no toilet paper, no lighter (to use for the kitchen) and old/random/few cooking utensils. The apartment was rather poorly equipped in terms of everything (just a few plates, a lot of basics missing). They say the apartment could be used for 6 persons, but I would say two (or max 4) would be better. The apartment is quite small and keep in mind that only two persons can take a shower in the evening/morning because of the small boiler. Conclusion: el Bahira is an okay place to stay, especially for climbers who don't expect any luxury. The location for climbing is perfect!

The most amazing spot in the whole island! Driving around Sicily we found this 5 stars camping in January. The house better than expected, hot shower, hot A/C, good bed and pillows, blankets to cover could be improved… lacking the coffee shop in winter time but we had our own food to prepare a wonderful pasta. We didnt find a wine opener in the house but a fork did the job. This is a place I would love to spend a month or even more, when a bit warmer climate swim in this amazing bay and explore the mountains behind… there is a part of the mountain tha looks like an ancient giant cut tree that would be nice to visit, will add a picture. I absolutely love and recommend this place to everyone. It was my first time there and I hope not the last one. First thing, location! It is located just beneath the rocks so to go climbing it takes about 3 minutes from your accommodation. The camp is based between rocks and the sea so it's perfect combination. Staff is excellent,professional,helpful and kind! Another thing is accommodation itself. We stayed in El Bahira for a week with group of 13 people. I was lucky enough to be accommodated in Viletta which is the bigger house in the camp. It was perfect. It is a bit cold inside so make sure to take the sleeping bag with you! Perfect climbing base! Walking distance from Fakirella Beach and Cala Mancina,so many routes on all levels. Love it love it love it! 5 minutes by car from the camp you can get to the market and the city - San Vito Lo Capo. For me it was perfect :) a lot of friendly cats stopping by and of course Brunella!

The location is beyond beautiful and it’s great place where to stay in the summer. Very nice pool and staff. The access to the sea with the small bar is dreamy. Super clean toilets. Well equipped small market. We specially loved the pizzeria: great sea view and amazing, tasty and high quality pizza at a fair price. Loredana was incredibly helpful and sweet and suggested us the “Loredana” pizza, which was super yummy. Salvatore is a passionate pizza maker who really takes time to feed you with a special pizza. We didn’t like the big bar/caffetteria close to the pizzeria which looked not very clean. A part from this El Bahira is one of the best places ever.

Where it is located for a climbing trip I would give 5 stars. Only a few steps to the crags and to the sea as well. Perfect for a late summer/ autumn trip. The campsite is nicely done, better say it was nicely done but it feels like to keep it like this there is not a big will. We stayed in a Mobil home, the price is fine for what you get: Toilets with no toilet seats, 4 flame gas stove where only 2 function, doors which not close and around the Mobil if you look closely you find quite a bit of trash. The restaurant stuff gives you a feeling you should say sorry because you interrupt them in doing nothing because you want to order something. Shop on site selling essentials, resonably priced. Nice ice cream served from the bar. Swimming pool, although it is closed during siesta, from 1330-1600. Went in May and it was lovely and peaceful.

The deduction of a stars is because it was very noisy, they have a ‘quiet time’, yet people play loud music, sing loudly one night this went on until 1:30am. Summary: Great location for climbing at the cliffs of San Vito Lo Capo - neglecting some basic stuff though. If you are a climber, this is a great starting point for your climbing adventures. You can reach the first climbing routes in 2-3 minutes (by foot!) from the pitches depending on where you park. This is obviously very convenient. Of course you can't expect to reach every single crag that fast but still also a lot of other crags are conveniently located. The campground features all the basic amenities but also has a restaurant, a super market and a pool. All of this could not be used in off-season though - which is totally fine. In contrast to most other campgrounds you need to pay extra for taking a shower. It was 75 Cent when we were there mid of December 2022. As the base price is cheap that was not a problem for me. You can buy "shower coins" in the reception. I did not take the time to see how long the shower goes but it was sufficient for me. What I did not like about the shower is that the shower cabin did not have a proper roof above it. There is some kind of cover over the area in which you dry off but if it is raining you still get wet. Furthermore, if it is a bit colder/windy, the showering experience is not super nice like that. One other aspect I did not like is that in the sink area you did not get warm water and furthermore it was often a bit "dirty" from the pine needles that were falling from the trees close to the sink area. As this area is not properly covered similar to the shower area, some pipe needles often made it into the sinks. Thus, before you do the dishes you might need to clean the sink yourself. In case of rain you might also get wet while doing the dishes. I liked that they had different spots for emptying the garbage and that they distinguished between plastic, organic, glass, carton etc. In the course of our two week stay they reduced the number of garbage boxes though and I had the feeling they did not really empty the boxes regularly. Came on a weekday and the beach was nice and quiet, hired 3 sun beds and an umbrella for €20 for the day. Beach is pretty clean and nice and Sandy. A few people wandering about selling all sorts of things but they are not doing it very aggressively, and leave you alone when you say no. Beer, coffee, water and light snacks all available from the bar you get the sun beds from. With the free parking just up the road makes for an ideal place to visit.

Horrible service. The personel see tourists as milking cows. We had 3 drinks and some cheese and salami. Totall should have been 17.20€ .... but the waiter gave me a bill of 20€. The receipt came without any details ... it just said 20€. When i confronted the waiter he played stupid and didnt care to explain or listen too me. In my opinion the whole village is a big tourist trap ... a real pitty because we had a great holiday on scisily, and we met many lovely people in other places.

Great view! I parked a car on via del Seco. The whole trip took me 2 hours to go on top and back - with 30minutes on the top. The view is amazing on the top and during the hike as well. 95% of hike is stony road - last 100m are stones but it’s not hard - definitely light hiking even for children or elders.

We walked from town from the West side of the mountain. Its a great walk. Took us 5 hours back and return, with a lunch brake and a easy walk pace.

While hiking to the top, I wanted to give up several times. But in the end, I got to Monte Monaco and it was worth it! No one sees the efforts, but the process is more interesting than the result!
