The castle of Blois is very interesting architecture wise. It is well preserved. There is quite a few things to see inside. It is a shame that one of the building (where the café is) cannot be visited (only from the ground floor) as its ceiling is very impressive and makes us wanna see more. Staff were nice and efficient too. Its unique staircase is absolutely beautiful and worth seeing.

With a very unique design of spiral shape staircases and a combination of four different kind of construction styles from different times, the chateau presents a lovely looking. Parking there can make you headache. The underground parking lot is recommended. But do remember your slots and the exit you use. I got lost there😂 after the chateau, the royal garden is another nice place to visit. On a sunny day, with a few friends and probably your dog, definitely a nice little walk will make the day better!

If you love History, you will definitely enjoy the visit. It's linked to other Chateaus within the Loire region. It seems it's not a very popular Chateau but it's good because you can take your time to read or listen to the audio guides and take photos of the different rooms. It's worth the visit and the audio guide is recommended if you want to learn about France history. Afterwards, you can walk along the Loire river admiring the sunset if the weather is good.

This castle has been the central scene of an important turning point in the French history at the end of the XVIth century in the struggle between Catholics and Protestants. One of ours room is dedicated to this event. The visit with the interactive tablet is just perfect.

Hidden in plain site, after seeing some of the key larger, more famous château sites I wasn’t sure this would be worth it. It was. A great and interesting museum format with lots of good information. At Chambord the chapel is the largest (and plain) room. Here there are several larger rooms and wonderfully decorated. Great to see the rock carvings up close and the early museum pieces and all the returned art stolen by the nazis. Great place worth seeing.

I hesitated at first because I'm not a big fan of magic, but the experience completely captivated me. It is so interesting to see objects that have been used in magic numbers, so much energy charge, I absolutely loved everything. The experience is delightful and I really recommend visiting, the ticket price includes a mini magic show and at the end the store offers you a multitude of extraordinary things.

I loved this charming place and I think the price for a family of four was a bargain these days. We went on a day when it was raining so it was pretty busy but it never felt crowded. The show was really good, aimed more towards the children as you'd expect. Really nicely presented exhibitions on the history of magic, horology and Harry Houdini. It is all in French but hey, we're in France! My wife speaks schoolgirl French and I used Google translate in camera mode now and again and it was fine. The dragons are brilliant. Totally mad.

It was a rainy day on our vacation and so decided to revisit Blois as our 3 year old loved the dragon show which comes out of the museum windows every 30 minutes. We wasn't sure how the museum would be but would thoroughly recommend. A nice mix of education and interaction with the displays. Really nice 30 minute magic show. In the attic you get to practice magic. There was a really nice guide who did a mini magic show for us. Lovely!

Much more than expected here. Extra floors which are well worth seeing. An excellent and memorable show performed with humour and skill, just the right length for children. Many exhibits in this museum are interactive. A bit hot inside. Would have stayed longer if cooler upstairs but thoroughly enjoyed our time. Friendly staff in all rooms also demonstrating magic. Delicious crepes on exit with views across to the cathedral. Highly recommend.

Our kids absolutely loved this place. We saw 3 magic shows for 23 euro! It was outstanding value. Staff were wonderful, even the security guards seemed happy to be there. Kids or big kids will love this. One of the highlights of our trip to the Loire. Merci!

It is very amusing and I really liked visiting this place especially when the dragons come out in the summer time. I went there several times in 1999 when I lived in Blois. I recently visited again with my wife and the plaza and surrounding area are just as beautiful as the other 5 times I went there before. If you are in Blois visit this and the Château de Blois they are worth the visit along the Loire Valley. Google doesn't seem to believe me that I was there, so I have uploaded some photos of my most recent visit.

Great main show, but all the exhibits are in French only. Yes, I know this is France but the Chateau Blois demonstrates how well several languages can be done. Unless you're fluent you wont follow the smaller show at all.

Very help staff and loads of free maps to take away. Also offers postcards and gifts to buy. Worth popping by before exploring Blois and the wider area.

I stopped in this little tourist information twice on my stay. The first time was to inquire about the shuttle bus to the Chambord, Cheverny, and Beauregard. The young lady spoke great English and gave me all the necessary information. I went on my way and visited two of the three chateaus the next day. I still wanted to get out to Beauregard on Monday but the tourist shuttle doesn't run Mondays in late October. After using the free wifi they have, I noticed it was a 6 mile walk to Beauregard. I asked the same young lady if it was possible to walk or ill advised due to traffic. With he biggest of smiles she responded, "Yes, of course if you use the bike lanes." I expected a blank stare like I'd get if asking about walking 6 miles in the US but instead walked away with a bike routes map and directions on how to get started. The walk was actually a highlight of my entire trip and it mostly happened because of the friendly service provided in the this tourist information shop. They have all kinds of maps, info, and brochures. They speak great English and smiled when helping me. If you have any questions, give them a visit!

A really beautiful spot in town overlooking the square. The gargoyles are fun and the bells are beautiful.

A Masterpiece of the late Gothic and combining elements of Neoclassical style the cathedral stood centuries on the top of the rocky hill of Old city of Blois. Construction dated back in 12th century dedicated to the St Solenne whose remains are kept in the crypt. Louis XIV later in 1704 donated organ and since then the cathedral bears the name of St Louis. Must visit.
