Serena is the best water park in Finland and open all year, although the outdoor attractions are closed during the winter season. About half of the water slides are indoors, and the indoor area is warm all year. The park offers waterslides for the whole family, and the biggest ones serve also the slightly daring ones. A mediocre restaurant offers burgers, a buffet lunch and some smaller snacks and during summer time there is also an ice cream kiosk. Serena is a great day trip distance on a beautiful summer day.

Water park in Espoo, This park was opened in 1989 and you can feel it as well. The showers are in poor condition, only one shower on the men's side had a temperature control. The other two were broken. There were showers on the back wall, but you can only turn them on and there is no possibility of adjustment of anykind. The food was expensive, so we didn't stay to eat. In the summer, this can be a nice place when the outdoor pools are in use, but for the moment I can't recommend

Our experience at Serena Water Park this evening was unfortunately marred by a concerning sanitary issue (excrements in the water in the swimming pool). Despite bringing it to the attention of the guards and staff, there seemed to be confusion on how to address the situation. Finally no actions were taken to resolve the issue or notify visitors. It's important for the staff to be adequately trained on how to respond to such situations promptly and appropriately to ensure the safety and comfort of visitors. Very disappointed with such poor customer care and indifferent attitude.

Nice place to spend with family, slope were good , kids enjoyed. There is decent restorent for food as well.

The place definitely requires renovation, it's just old. Despite this, the slides are fun, and it can be an option to spend an enjoyable day with children

So Awesome! A really great place for young and older kids alike. Adults have fun too. The Villi Virta can truly be a bumpy ride, don't take any child who's not a strong swimmer. Bring a friend. The lockers require 2€ coins to operate, so bring some of those too. Bring water bottles and snacks, like orange slices, chocolate and salt crackers for when the kids get dehydrated and grumpy. The buffet is standard, quality Finnish food at average prices. Excellent atmosphere. Very clean. Showing need of maintenance. Wheelchair accessible. 10/10 Thank you. Will happily return soon.

I would like to give this place more stats because it's actually fun to go to with the kids. But the place really could use a renovation. The ceiling is literally almost falling off, the locker rooms are small, showers are awkward to maneuver through, grout is coming out of the tiles, and the ceiling is leaking. That said it wasn't dirty like people said. It feels like they do clean it often. Still, a fun place to take my kids. Hope they renovate soon!

The place was nice and there was lots of fun to be had for the kids, I would suggest that you visit when the sun is shining as the outside area is lots of fun. Down side is that it’s showing it’s age a bit and could probably do with a renovation. I thought the entry price for the family was quite steep and you had to pay for parking as well! Changing room showers were a bit smelly

Fun park, not crowded at all (visited in December). Only 5 indoor slides + lazy river open in winter, but enough for a day of fun :)

Great art, beautiful views, and a delicious cafe. EMMA is a short walk from the Tapiola metro stop and is such a nice change of pace from the museum districts of downtown Helsinki.

Exhibition of Konrad Mägi Art was quite interesting, his use of colour audacious and many paintings brought Klimt's and van Gogh's works to mind. A dashing experience!

Nice museum, unfortunately on the day I was there a lot was being prepared for new expositions so I didn't see too much of the collection. The people working there are extremely friendly and helpful. The gift shop is nice but really expensive. I skipped the cafe as there was a performance going on of a lady singing in way too loud in terrible French.

Enlightening experience! This museum was always on my list, and I am glad I finally made a trip here today. Known to be one of the largest art museums in the Nordic, it has a great collection of Finnish modern and contemporary artworks. I used to have a misconception of Finnish modern arts being intolerant to modernism and diversity, but I learned that I was wrong. It is because I wasn’t perhaps exposed to artworks of Finnish artists, who are often underrepresented or under-recognised internationally. For this particular reason, EMMA is a must visit place for foreign residents like myself to learn about Finnish artists and their artworks. I saw different exhibitions and collections of artworks and “semi-art objects” from glassworks to paintings, and I loved my time there. I got to learn a little bit about new artists and their works I had never known before, such as, Kim Simonsson. I also enjoyed watching interviews of collectors and artists by museum staff (curators?), and it really shows that the museum tries to share thoughts and opinions of artists and collectors with visitors. It helps people understand the works and the stories behind. This museum is not far from where I live, so I would like to visit here more often.

Having previously visited the Helsinki Museum of Modern Art, I'd definitely recommend the Espoo museum instead. It's a large museum with a good balance of art to floor space, with multiple interesting exhibitions, and a good range of performance pieces, physically objects, and paintings. I especially enjoyed the exhibition exploring the security company Securitas! Entry is free on Fridays after 5pm so I would absolutely recommend a visit!

Very pleased with this place. Well organised, clean and well maintained. Friendly for families and there are separate interactive activities for kids. The glass exhibitions and cafe also looked nice. Worth a visit even from afar.

There are some exhibitions i was not especially inspired by (like the one downstairs), but some i found absolutely thrilling. The museum is very big, its kind of like a scavenger hunt. It was very fun to explore everything. However, i am 17 so i could be there for free. But i think the 20€ (if you are not a student) are worth it if you're interested in art. It's more of an inspiration than the ateneum stockholm. The people there were very nice! I didnt go into the café, but the look of it all was very cool!

I love visiting Emma just for the architecture alone; the former printing press factory is beautifully functional and brutalist. The exhibitions are well-curated and have a lot of space. The exhibitions have prompts for kids. The building houses several exhibitions, including the Espoo City Museum and the museum of play, Leikki, next door.

We want there last Friday (3rd March 2022) and it was my first time visiting EMMA. I love this place so much as they have many art that combine technology, architecture, furniture design, ceramics, and many more things. We spend time there for 3-4 hours and try to impress each art as much as we can. If you love technology, mechanics, arts, and you may study or work in tech and engineering, you may love this museum like me 🙂 it's easy to impress and understand these arts 10/10 and recommended!!!

The museum is good in general terms. For kids is a very good experience as a sub pf all twhat they offer: playground, activities to understand the art and museum and restaurant. In the art dimension que museum is very nice and interesting permanent and temporary pieces.

favorite museum in the helsinki area. the exhibits i saw had so many pieces and great cohesive storytelling. there are kids around but it's got great depth in experience for adults. massive props to being very navigable & laid out well. easy to get to as well--there is signage once outside the train station

Fine old stone Church and bell tower with graveyards nearby. Sunday worship services with music and choir. Various excellent music events on summer evenings. Congregation house nearby serves coffee to service goers some sundays.

Museum Centre WeeGee is absolutely stunning. Both as a museum and the brutalistic architecture of it. There is always good exhibitions going on in many different forms and styles which contributes to the diversity of the place. Espoo city museum is in thr same building if you feel like taking a part of the history also. Greatly curated shop that is in constant change and good pastries & beer & coffee in the cantine. Recommends a visit

Art presented in a way that communicates with the viewer

Weegee is an enormous art gallery. There are a lot of different things to look at, and I spent at least 2 hours looking around until closing time. You'll definitely find something for everyone here. There's even a play area for little kids! P.s. Free entry after 3 pm on Fridays. :)

EMMA is very nice museum with always a lot to discover. Love it's changing exhibitions etc. In WeeGee it contains cafeteria, shop and the museums. Love it. Brutalist building is uwgly and parking is expensive (unless u leave ur car a 6min walk away).

Wonderful lakeside place. couple of campfire sites besides the lake. Accessible with public transport.

An oasis just outside Helsinki. Swim for 2Km to the end of the lake and back for fun. Loads of nice walks and generally a really.nice place.

Maybe the best place for open water swimming in southern Finland. There are 2 buyu marked routes, 1st one was 1km and second 2km (little over), water is clear and scenery beautyful. There are some fireplaces for your own barbeque.

This shopping mall offers a well-maintained environment, convenient access to public transport, and an abundance of shops and restaurants. It's the perfect spot to enjoy shopping and indulge in diverse culinary experiences during your leisure time.

The mall is gigantic and the floorplan is not the most intuitive which makes it easy to get lost. The amount of shops and places to eat is tremendous though, and I would find it hard to believe that you wouldn't find what you're looking for here. Also 2 hours of free parking is neat.

A good place to access different kinds of stores, including K city-market, Prisma and Lidl on the -1 floor. On the first and second floors, H&M, Zara, Lindex and many other stores can be found.

Average mall in Helsinki area. Groceries stores below average. Sello and Lippulaiva malls have far better grocery stores. Very nice movie theater. Restaurants are constantly changing so cannot comment if they're any good anymore. Lie Mi has been one of the best ones.

It's the best mall I've been to in Helsinki compare to those in town and I could do my last minute's shopping 🛍 for souvenirs at Flying Tiger, iitala (household & cute ceramic products including Moomin's cups etc) and many more without burning much of my pocket 🙃 Many affordable priced items especially during sale time in December. There're many restaurants too and was unable to resist the tempting looking pizza and huge prawns ceasars salad at Deliberi which were good & satisfying 😋😋😋 There's also a movie theatre and kids' playground. It's a mall for everyone, must visit for any tourist in Helsinki.

ISO omens is great place for the tourists because we can buy anything there especially as souvenirs. There is a great shop of natural products and a bookstore. Also, I love cozy cafes where it’s super cool to work as well. Recommend ;)

One of the best shopping centers on Helsinki area, right above Matinkylä metro station and it has also a bus terminal, lots of shops and places to see. One star less because of free parking 2 hours, you need at least 4 hours free parking

A very nice shopping mall.. the food court is big and almost every restaurant you need. If you apply for IsoOmena app you can get 2+2 hours free parking time. Also there is free playing yard for kids under 7 years old so the kids can enjoy over there.

The hotel is fine but my primary memory of the visit is the 50 minutes it took to check in on arrival. As the line behind us grew longer several staff were wandering about but no-one came to help the receptionist who was obviously struggling. Receptionist on duty the following morning was much better.

What I missed in the room was some kind of place to put my clothes to: drawer, shelves, closet. Something. I checked in on May 23rd and I checked out on May 26. My room was not cleaned. Apart from this, everything was perfect.

A great place to hang out in winter. I desperately needed sauna and jacuzzi. It’s sad I couldn’t take pictures in the inside I left my phone in the Locker. It’s a comfortable place to swim take a sauna bath. The swimming pool is spacious and according to your swimming level there are three different pools in door. Two saunas for female and spacious changing plus bath rooms. I paid six euros for a day pass and I enjoyed my stay. I highly recommend this place if you are in the area not knowing what to do for a few hrs. There also are ample jacuzzis and a cafe at the exit.

Excellent public swimming pool catering to needs of beginners and expert swimmers alike. In addition to the regular pool, there is a learner's pool, 3 hot water tubs, one Hydrotherapy wading pool with max depth of 1.5m. I love the wading pool, since it is shallow enough for a beginner like me and deep enough for helping me to practice. The entry costs are very reasonable and outdoor pools and slides are very nice. First class changing and shower facilities both indoors and outdoors.

One of the sauna's is offline and there was no notification about it beforehand. It is disappointing to already have the entry fee paid, and see at the door being closed. The cold pool is awesome, but there is lots of people jumping into it and the staff does not interfere with it, even though it is forbidden.

Great swimming hall for everything else except regular swimming as not many 25 meter lanes. Good warm pool, cold pool, hot tubs, outdoor pool with simple slides & indoor jumping pool + water running pool.

Swimming is my all-time favorite sport!! It's so intense. Drives me wild!! Anyway this largest pool reminds me of song I heard.. 🎵 What a pool, what a pool, what a mighty mighty big pool, a mighty mighty big pool. Not a bad view from the stands. I like alot. Fav sport with a view. You know what they say about Men's Swimming being a sport! It's more or less a spectator sport of you know what I mean, wink-wink, please don't out me to my vifey.

Therapy pool is a kid friendly place with warm water and it is big enough (10m×17m) to swim.

Great public swimming pool with indoor and outdoor areas. The outdoor pools are heated to 30 degrees, so one can sit in them all day and enjoy, even if the weather cools down a bit. Outside there's one long water slide, big kids pool, toddler pool and an adults pool. There's benches and artificial grass to sit on. Inside there's a caffee with food and snacks and a basic swim shop. Kids <10 must be supervised in the pool. This is a place to stay longer, bring your beach gear with.

Quality of service slowly going down. Price increased by 16% and quality downgraded. Hair dryers in the men's dressing room out of service for more than 1 month. Request to the hosts left unanswered. Newly installed dress drier or of service for more than a week, and again no reaction. At the last but not least, keep eyes on your stuff, my towel was stolen.

This is my favorite place to visit nearly daily. I love the cleanliness and all the pools seem to be infinity style so it looks really pretty when you are in the water and your eye travels across the surface without ever hitting an ugly pool wall. And you are always allowed to dive in the deep pool which is more than I can say about our local NZ pools.

It's a swimming all with all the facilities. They have different swimming areas for kids, women and men and different changing rooms. Good thing is if you know swimming you can just pay and swim. You can also get a belt for few upcoming visits together in one belt if you wish so.. hyvä uida🏊

Great location to visit and spend time specifically in summer. The museum cafe is brilliant. However the museum doesn't offer descriptions in English which is a disappointing.

The museum was good. Nice art exahabiton was on at the time we visited. Accessing the museum with piblic was a bit challenging and required a at least 20 minute of walk which was not pleasant considering the slippery icy winter paths.

So small museum and there are not many paintings by Kallela himself. They have qr codes based guide which is nice but again disappointing because there are not many paintings by him there.

Great place really pleasant and most interesting and talented art ever to come out of Finland. Fascinating building. Strange discovered my son had turned green when checked the photos taken. This is obviously somekind of miracle or Alien intervention. I mean what else could it be? Apart from the improbable possibility that my new HowWay mobile phone that I cannot use properly that I might have pushed the wrong buttons. But history Channel convinced me it is Aliens that are behind every single odd thing that happened or will happen.

A very nice and quiet spot. Great views of the lake and a lovely cafe nearby. The museum itself is of a very lovely design, and contains lots of mementos from the artist's life. Note that there's quite a bit of a climb involved. Overall, a nice stop on your walk on to Munkkiniemi.

Very nice look inyo one of the best known Finnish painter and architect's days. This time the main theme was his trip to Africa continent.

The museum is located in a beautiful area. There’s also a café next to it, where you can have a small break and enjoy the views. By climbing the tower of the museum you can also see the same scenery the artist once saw. The exhibitions change frequently. At the moment they have a few paintings from private collections. I felt lucky I got to see them in person. There may not be so many paintings, but the ones that are there are great ones. So instead of people complaining about the lack of art, take a moment to enjoy what is there. There’s fun activities for the family here as well. You may download an app on your phone too! And enjoy some extra content. If you follow the museum’s social media accounts, you can see when they hold events or fun activities. As far as for the price: you can use your museum or kaiku card and get in for free. Otherwise adults are 10€, 7€ for the pensioners, 5€ for students and unemployed, and anyone under 18 is free. During winter period 1.9-14.5. The museum is open tue-sat 11-16, su 11-17 During summer time (15.5-31.8) the museum and café are open everyday from 11 to 18.

Charming museum! It offers a wonderful chance to explore Gallen Kallela's life and the creation of his artworks. I visited during an exhibition focused on his time in Kenya, which was interesting, although I was more intrigued by his life in Finland. Nonetheless, I found the exhibition enjoyable. The café is a highlight too – we savored coffee while taking in the picturesque view of the Kalela house and yard.

museum has a lot of personal belongings of Gallen-Kallela, but in fact has not much to offer. building itself is really remarkable, and the atmosphere is great. cafe nearby is worth to stop by and have great salmon soup

Lovely place to visit during summer with children. On Wednesday, it is free admission and we can visit The Glims 4H Petting Zoo in small group. People start to queue 30 minutes at the entrance to the farm before it start to get a tickets. We enjoying feeding the goats, sheeps and rabbit. We had our snacks at Cafe Glims. Beautiful and cozy cafe. There's a picnic table outside of the cafe for those who like to enjoy hot summer while watching their kids playing at the playground. My son really love exploring the place especially the animals. Good place to bring your childrens here.

I have been here before with my kids. It's a great place to have a picnic and spend a couple hours checking out the small animals and museum. Easiest to take bus to Jorvi and then walk across the road.

Spent a lovely autumn afternoon strolling around here. 15 buildings to see and learn about, chickens and a cozy Cafe. Did a self guided tour in around an hour, guided tours also available at specific times.

It’s a fun place for children, but I find the lack of a toilet with running water or baby changing stations quite annoying, as most of the families visiting are with toddlers

Very popular place among Helsinki and Espoo people for XC-skiing (both classic and freestyle);so it can be busy during the peak time after work. There is a good amount of snow and and some 5km of tracks are now groomed.

Good place for cross country ski. It has a very good kids park in summers. Can enjoy kayaking in summers. Beat place to see aurora in Espoo.

The beach was not crowded at all. The car parking space was abundant. I had to visit Oittaa twice in one week. Week days are the best if you don't need overcrowding.

Great outdoor activities like skating and cross-country skiing. Especially in winter time. More sports available in the summer. At the moment it has sauna and food for 12 euroes. If you feel like it. Great customer service with swedish, English and of course Finnish spoken language.

Nice play park… angry bird themed. Cafe and ice cream area. Volleyball fields and basketball courts. Would recommend walking a bit further round as it wasn’t so crowded and a bit more peaceful. Frisbee golf and bbq area is there as well.

A great little beach - and at this time of year it was very, very quiet! 8pm on a Tuesday in November is a time when you’ll have it pretty much to yourself! We came here for a swim, and it’s ideal for that. During the day in high season there are lifeguards here. For swimming in winter, head up to the far end where the jetty is. This has a heated metal walkway out and onto the stairs into the water. Mainly used by sauna users at this time of year! Fantastic play park that the kids played in whilst we swam. Loads of different things for them to play on. They really loved it.

Love this beach - there's something for everyone! Life guards on the beach, separate shallow area for small kids, nice sand-bottom access to water, nice sandy beach, changing booths, showers. There's a caffee with affordable buffet lunch, ice-cream booth, grassy areas and picnic tables, mini golf, beach valley, Angry birds playground - can easily spend all day here with the kids! No dogs allowed on the beach.

Lakeside swimming beach, ice cream, angry birds, busy cafe and sauna. A good few hundred metres nature trail starts and ends here. Prepared skiing trail connections in winter. Roller blade track. A sporty sort of place very popular for swimming in summer. Sandy beach is shallow for those learning to swim.

Beautiful place sadly gone downhill people are horrible and dirty really let's this place down the only 2 toliet there today totally blocked from others dirty and people not cleaning up after themselves using dangerous people can't find a space so they burning wood and coal near the bins there it can cause a big fire if outta control the places to BBQ are busy not enough 2 also people are not willing to share even it's a public area needs more bins more seating and places for all people to use the amount of littering there was embarrassing getting worse every year 😞

A very nice & big shopping mall that has many brands and there is a playing area for kids. There are many restaurants in the mall. You can easily come through train bus or car.

Good amount of stores in one location. Compact layout makes it easy to navigate. Easily accessible via buses and train. Nice courtyard with lively events. Library is very close. One star deduction for low lighting in the parking area. Parts of the parkade seem hazardous. Entering and leaving is not so smooth eaither.I would leave the car at home.

Very convenient mall located at key train station and bus station. It has all the necessary eateries and also all the supermarkets.

Sello is a huge shopping center which has almost everything. You can find fashion stores, supermarkets, coffee shops, restaurants, bank, etc. there. The transportation connection is super convenient. It only takes me couple of steps to the train and bus stations. Sello is definitely the center of Leppävaara.

Nice and not crowded shopping mall in the center of Espoo Leppavara. You can find everything there restaurants, cafes, different shops, big supermarkets, a big library and movie theaters. And ofcourse its good transportation center for trains and buses.

Once you get in, you find all you need to buy, rent or be a part of. It’s one of the biggest super malls in Espoo, Finland. You need to visit there.

It's really hard to navigate for someone unfamiliar with the place. to get to one store I had to go to open air twice and change floors multiple times.

A very charming museum. They are exhibiting cars and motor bikes from 1920-1970s, and there are lots of them. Some are restored, some in original condition. There is also a lot of other interesting stuff. Well worth a visit for anybody interested in history. Brings back sweet childhood memories 💓

Impressive collection of old cars, bikes and motorbikes! They also have other old stuff on display like phones, vacuum cleaners etc. The museum is located on two levels. The entrance free for adults is €10. Definitely worth to visit!

Nice place for a family with youngsters to spend a pleasant hour or two. There are multiple nice games to see and the kids can try and play with many available outside the vitrines.

This place has lots of toys from my childhood, from small to big. Additionally, it offers lots of play activities for children, and you can enter the Museum with your Museum Card of Finland for free. Children under 18 also enter for free. Enjoy your visit.

The idea is nice but unfortunately the place is below expectations. Not interactive, almost all toys are under the glass, nothing educational or exciting, also very dusty inside, people with allergies better keep away from it

I expected a bit more after the re-opening. It's good for families with small children as different play areas occupy most of the exhibition space. There are not so many toys and only general details are provided about each category. If you are looking for a more museum-like experience I suggest going to the Suomenlinna toy museum instead. However, this one will likely keep the children more occupied while you check out the toys. It takes around 30-45 minutes to see it all so paying only for an hour of parking is more than enough.

Lovely place for adulds and kids

Adults and a 1,5 child enjoyed the museum very much. Free of charge visit was a huge bonus.

The museum is tiny. It feels like an exhibition more than a stand alone museum. There are toys on display but tbh my kid wasn't interested in the displays at all, just the play areas. There was a small wooden train, a play shop and kitchen, a fairy tale forest and a room with some balls. We were done playing in 30 minutes and my 5 year old didn't even ask to stay longer. A visit costs €12 for an adult (children free) so not cheap for what it is. I would not recommend this place unless you live in Tapiola and have a museum card. To be honest we went to the nearby shopping mall after and the play area there is the same size and free, and the kids enjoyed it easily as much. Alternatively the Helsinki City museum has a decent children's village that is a better visit.

Nice urban environmental protection area. Wetland area with birds and protected flood meadows. Most of the paths and bird towers are on the northern side, close to Villa Elfvik. The southern side has also a single path and access to a single bird tower. To go around the bay, you need to exit the protected area. Also, you have only limited access to view the flood meadows. The bird towers give the best view to the overall area. I stronly recommend taking the path with broadwalks that is accessible from the middle from west or from Villa Elfvik form north.
