Baroque church in the city center of Fulda. Nice light and details. Spacious, golden and not crowded. Accessible for disabled/wheelchairs. No entrance, no online tickets required unless you want a tour.

I have no idea why this hotel is 4*. I would give it 2* max. Rooms are very old, not like old stylish and renovated in this style, no, it’s just old. Also on the reception we were given one price, but when we were moving out price got higher for no reason. No good sound isolation, so you will hear everything what happens in the hallway. I have booked via bookings.com so that it’s cheaper, but hotel apparently have cancelled my booking and set up higher price, as in the morning i received notification that my booking was cancelled. Overall 2 stars only for being pet friendly hotel.

This is a standard comfortable hotel, but what lifts it to an altogether higher level is breakfast. You walk along a corridor and emerge into the most amazing baroque hall, a garden room, with white pilasters and painted ceiling. And the food matches the venue - it is sumptuous and everything is extremely tempting.

We only stayed one night at this hotel but we really liked it there. The bed was comfy - firm yet soft, bath room clean and we didn’t hear much noise from other rooms. The area is beautiful and peaceful. Parking was quite expensive (€15), rooms outdated but this hotel deserves five stars for the overall great value. Family with 2 kids.

Although the hotel is really nice, they settled us in the floor -2 without lift. We were with two children with pushchairs and luggage, so really uncomfortable. Every time we need to carry the pushchairs and kids up and down through the stairs, really awful experience

Stayed here for two nights with family. First of all, don’t fall into their trap of pictures. The hotel is only attached to the historic castle and is actually an overly ugly 1970s building. Worst of all, the hotel does not have air conditioning at all. It was hot during my stay in September and without opening the door to the balcony the heat in the room would be unbearable. Be aware if you stay in summer - I don't believe a baby can sleep in this hotel. Otherwise rooms are small and in urgent need of a refurb. Wifi spotty. Woke up during the second night given loud noises made by other guests. All rooms are located around an interior lobby where the hotel offers alcohol to buy. Noise isolation is super bad so it was quite loud even on the second floor. There are even rooms which have their door directly into the lobby - never seen such a nonsense arrangement and these rooms must be overly loud. Staff are friendly though and location is good. Breakfast offering is also ok. Overall, I won’t came back. Rooms are overpriced for such a dated property. There are better options in Fulda. This property is past its best times and won't see me again.

The hotel is pretty standard, ok but bit old. BUT I didn’t like the way the are lying at their photos on booking applications. They post a picture of the castle making you think it’s actually a hotel. But in fact the hotel is in totally different standard building near the castle. They should actually post real pictures too.

You can have unfogettable breakfast in this Hotel. All staff are very nice and friendly.

Room walls are very thin. We stayed at ground floor and we could hear the people and our neighbors the whole night... Very unpleasant to sleep. No water cooker/ coffee machine in room? Okay.. Even though the hotel offers swimming pool and sauna, you have to pay additional fee to use it ??? That's absurd after paying so much for a night. A cleaning lady rings the bell at 9 am on a Saturday because she wants to clean.. Highly unacceptable and very poor hotel management overall.

As one of the most important Romanesque monuments in Germany, the Church of St. Michael is a beautiful example of 11th century architecture. The church rotunda is already fairly unique, based one the holy sepulcher in Jerusalem, as is the cathedral in Aachen. The capitals and frescos point to its medieval past. Make sure to visit the crypt which dates to 820, one of the oldest pieces of architecture in Germany.

Well worth a visit if you happen to visit Fulda. Well restored baroque palace of the former Prince-Abbott, now serving as city council compound. Includes a wonderful porcelain collection from the Fulda Manufactory. They have a leaflet with a map in English but the rest is in German; I guess most Baroque art can be enjoyed without reading the captions.

The yard of the castel is wunderbare,the gardens lovely,sorry ,i went monday and the museum is closed, in french ,belle balade and till octobre an exibition of small geants sculpture

Given the position and importance of the former prince-abbots of Fulda, I expected something more grandiose. There we’re occupied offices where staff worked throughout. The rooms and decor were at times austere. The price of admission was very low less than 4E.

Lovely palace. Well-preserved. I'm basing my review not on the beauty of the palace but on the functionality as a museum. Since the building houses city hall and office workers, you have to weave through some office space to see certain sites. There are no descriptions of the rooms or the very few items in the rooms. Not in English. Not in German. None. So I just wander about with a map in my hand to see pretty rooms. Otherwise I really learn nothing. They need to get a real museum curator in there to address the best way to turn a pretty palace into a real museum.

Great place to visit in Fulda Deutschland, it has allot of history and the audio guides helps you understand the origen of this beautiful Castle. It is also use for wedding.

Nice smaller baroque era palace. € 2.3 student ticket. Took me about 1 hour to walk relaxed through the whole place. Though, unfortunately not much info is given about the rooms or displayed pieces, and none at all in english. Still very nice to visit.

It has loads of artefacts from fulda and surroundings. Rich of local history. As a tourist I was surprised to see that a museum doesn't have a description of the objects in another language than German and some of the artefacts don't have a year/century attached. From maps is hard to see the entrance and we asked 2 people where it could be, being directed wrongly, it will be nice if the museum could add a sign on the street to point tourists to the correct direction.

A beautiful cathedral in a magnificent little city in the heart of Germany. I was so touched being able to visit the tomb of Saint Boniface, Apostle of the German speaking lands! The crypt church downstairs is where you can find his blessed final resting place.

Informative and educational exhibits. Both of our kids (1 and 6) loved it. It's too bad, though, that the "open heart" can only be visited with a tour and that tours have limited availability.

Small, very organized, so much cool stuff for the kids to do. We had fun, was a long drive but totally worth the trip!
