There is also a small place where you can bring your child to play. and some rides… I wish they could add more kids rides for kids… And especially a grocery shopping.

The mall itself is fantastic. Massive variety of stores, pretty much anything from groceries, to electronics, to clothing can be found. However, the food stalls installed by the mall itself are extremely overpriced. During the pandemic, often i saw people walk around without properly wearing their masks, and the security guards would ignore it. Ofcourse the local stores are great, almost all of them offer excellent service, but i feel like that should be mentioned in reviews made specifically for the respective stores. Location is great too, if you would be able to get an appartment or dorm nearby you are set, you've got everything you'll ever need nearby. Q

As a shopping mall, this is small and disappointing. Not enough shops, also not in the area. Lot of empty places. Best shops are outside the mall. So don't make it the centrepiece for your visit to Kortrijk.

Vroeger gingen we er graag, mooie eetgelegenheden en toffe winkels, nu trekt het op niets meer. De liften zijn de hel als je met een kinderwagen wilt gaan winkelen, desondanks dat er een groot bord staat dat rolstoelgebruikers en kinderwagens voorrang hebben wordt dit nougabollen gerespecteerd! Je speelt al 30 minuten kwijt voor lift alleen al. Als je dan roltrap pakt met je buggy (wat al een uitdaging is) wordt he vies bekeken als ze niet kunnen passeren. Ik ga enkel nog voor Mediamarkt maar daar blijft het bij! Ringshopping Kuurne veel beter en onze vaste stop geworden, alles onder 1 dak en lekkere eetgelegenheden en iedereen behulpzaam als je kinderwagen hebt of rolstoel uiteraard :) (Translated by Google) We used to enjoy going there, nice eateries and great shops, but now it's no longer attractive. A very nice shOpping mall, spacious, clean and well designed. It has almost every single shop needed. We enjoyed going around there and doing our shopping. The only thing which did not satisfy us was about the washrooms, which were not really clean and acceptable! Both for ladies and men. Only one star? We are here on holiday. Wanted to visit this shopping center only to find out that DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED. So didn’t get a chance to discover what it all has to offer. What a shame!

After a walk about the town we stopped off for some waffles. Fantastic place right inside. The Waffles looked better then the ones out in the Christmas market. Was pretty happy with the end result. This mall has all the common attributes of a typical mall. If you make your way up to the third level there is a wonderful kids playground. My niece and nephew went for a fun little run about there. Over all it was a magnificent place to stop off at and get away from the elements.

The history at the 1302 museum is historically incorrect. For example, the input of the County of Namur in the battle is completely erased because it does not fit the "Flemish" nationalistic narrative that the battle was mainly Flemish against "the French". It wasn't, it was about economics. If you want to learn the real history of the Count of Flanders, go to the museums in Bruges of Ghent. As there are no Flemish nationalists there in power, the local history is still available in its purest form without any political agenda.

This was an excellent experience. The films they have made about the battle are really effective, especially the one inside the chapel. The interactive information about the Oxford Kist for example is all very informative. I particularly enjoyed the thorough consideration of the battle, including the significance to the founding of Belgium as a country. A must see for anyone visiting this area!

This is one of the oldest building in Kortrijk. It was built in the 12th century. What was interesting for me was the restored chapel with the many paintings of the portraits of the counts of Flanders. It is worth following a guided tour on those chapel and the church as the history and the many unanswered questions about the portraits are highlighted.

This church was such a surprise! Inside you can learn about the history of the 1302 battle between the French and Flanders via an awesome visual and audio display (available in multiple languages). After viewing the film which plays every half hour, you can learn more via interactive panels. The whole thing was free and was one of the best things I’ve done in Belgium so far. Takes about an hour if you want to do everything thoroughly. Some sections were a little bit repetitive about the battle, but still interesting. I hope in the future they create more content about other parts of the city’s history, as they have executed this so well. Really couldn’t believe the quality of the displays for something that is free, wonderful to see.

Good exhibition on the history of flax and linen weaving in Belgium. Collection is very well curated, display is amazing and the interactive/didactive information boards are nicely done. Definitely worth a visit!

Flax doesn’t sound that interesting, but on a cold day in January we thought it could be a good way to keep warm. It was in fact one of the most interesting and well thought out museums I’ve been too and I learnt a great deal. The signs are in several languages, there are interactive screens, and the flow from ground floor (touch, feel, understand the product and how it’s used), first floor history and top floor treasures (examples), is very good indeed. You could spend many hours here and it’s great for kids as well as adults.
