We did go with 3 kids 12, 14 and 16 and there is an app that you can download upon the entrance and which will guide you through the cave with good intervals in different languages. Even in Dutch which was perfect for us and the kids. Please don't go with very young kids as it is only disturbing for others. Once you are in the cave it is like you are in the real one.

After choosing to book with this company we were really pleased to find they fulfilled all our expectations. As we had 3 teenage boys with us we took on the 24km route which was perfect in both length and excitement. We all had a great day out which can be difficult to achieve when the age range was 13 to 62! We did the 30 km kayak tour the 22th of july. Everything ok, till we had to go back at the end of the day. The four of us where stowed in a sort of minibus with all (16?) seats taken. We where happy everybody was wearing a mask, but it was really to crowded for the small bus. Unfortunately it began to rain heavily, so all windows where shut. We had to travel for almost 1 hour in this overloaded and not airconditioned bus... In our homecountry this would not have been approved as safe, and I guess it is the same in France. Tomorow we are doing a COVID test.. So...before doing this, be sure you get a safe homeride, as our trip wasn`t!

Beginners are allowed to try their luck too. We saw many canoes spinning in circles through some average level difficulty currents, but everyone made it safely. We were told that they would be waiting for us between 4-5 pm to take the bus back to our parking place, so we were hoping that a small bus would go every ten minutes or so. Instead we had to wait until almost 5 pm, when everyone from alpha and R&N was there and the big bus was pretty much entirely full then. Accordingly we had to wait for an entire hour, eventhough we intentionally left the farther away camping grounds later than anyone else by about 1 hour (2-3 hours later than most people left). So, we would recommend doing it the same or taking an extensive swim break at one of the fewer parts on the river where the water is deeper.
