Loved it! Staff in shops are friendly and helpful. Great place for shopping if that's your thing. Beautiful harbour. RNLI volunteers were kind. It is steep and the streets are narrow so be prepared to walk and be mindful of the traffic. Highly recommend a visit.

Lovely walk around. Very tidy and well maintained. Loads of parking available with plenty of spaces. Ice cream was handsome from the van parked up. Keep up the good work. Top job 👏 👌 👍

Lovely visit to Padstow. Full of nooks and alleys filled with independent shops and businesses. Lovely place to visit with the famous Rock Stein Fish & Chips shop and deli. Really beautiful small harbour with lots to see and explore.

Got the ferry over from Rock , which was easy and hassle free. At 10am Padstow was lovely and relatively quiet. By lunchtime it was heaving. Lovely shopping, but expensive. Very cute winding streeto explore if you want to avoid the crowds.

As always Padstow never disappoints. The right number of shops & eating places coupled with a beautiful harbour view is always going to be extremely popular. That’s why we go mid afternoon when there is less people. The harbour car park we used had plenty of space & only a short walk into the town.

Lovely pretty harbour side town. It gets very busy and if trying to park in the harbour area you need to get there before 10am or else don't bother and use the car park up the top and walk down and back up to the harbour 10/15min walk. It has been taken over by the Rick Stein franchise but just don't use their shops or eateries - there's plenty of others worthy of a visit. Lobster hatchery which the kids would find interesting. Boat trips bookable on the harbour side. Nice little day out.

What a great little Harbour, we had a great day there . Lots of places to eat & drink. Plenty of benches to sit on in the nice weather. There are some good boat trips that sail from the harbour. Well worth a visit.

A beautiful natural harbour that has been home to fishing fleets for decades. Now it has a strong tourist offering with multiple Rick Stein establishments. Parking is a pain and it is does get crowded in the summer months. Good ferry to Rock.

Padstow Harbour is a lovely place to visit. It's clean and tidy, but the bins could do with emptying more frequently. Parking is problematic but that's only due to how popular the area is. Many shops, restaurants and pubs. I would highly recommend a visit!

Whilst in Cornwall you must call in to Padstow. A beautiful harbour with quaint shops, cafès and pubs. Views over to Rock. Go on the scenic walk to St George's Cove where you will find a stunning white sandy beach and fabulous views ⛵️⚓️☀️

A classic Cornish harbour with a good range of hospitality, shops, and pubs to ensure a great day out. A nice ferry crosses over the estuary to Rock, giving lovely views out to the Doom bar and the Atlantic.

One of the loveliest fishing ports in Cornwall with plenty of gift shops and more of the trendy fashion boutiques, lots of pubs and restaurants there's something for all. The harbour is great for watching the world go about it's business while having a bite to eat or ice cream but watch out for the seagulls! There are a few steps as many of Cornwall's places of interest are carved out of rocky hills and inclines! The beach is a short distance from the harbour and once negotiated along a gravelly dusty path way, leads down onto a lovely smooth sandy shore line.

Always a pleasure to visit, lots of independent shops, eateries and an idyllic harbour, some lovely walks with views out to sea and a foot ferry across to Rock and it's beautiful beach

Stopped off for a quick look about , happened to be the Christmas festival , which we were just a bit too late for . But the harbour was nice , music was playing . Some of the shops were still open. A nice little old fashioned harbour with some good shops around.

Lots of places to eat and drink, and little shops to poke about in. Lovely bakery with lots of choices of pasty fillings ( we had a lamb & mint + steak & brei ) for lunch both very tasty. A ferry that takes you across to a beautiful beach and benches all around the harbour to sit and watch the world go by.

I went with my family, my son loved it. I was worried that it wasn’t going to be worth the journey. We weren’t disappointed. I didn’t realise the work that the hatchery does is making sure that lobsters can be farmed sustainably and the links they make with local fisherman to make sure that resources don’t expire, but also to give the lobsters a fighting chance at survival. An interesting place to visit and teach children about sustainability. You can adopt a lobster from £5 or a whole family for £13 which you can name and track online. Good fun, they do some great work to increase lobster stocks and you can see newly hatched though ready for release and pregnant lobsters 🦞 The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and your ticket is valid for a whole year.

Great little experience. Took our 2 year old. A good mix of activities and information for both adults and children. It's also dog friendly which was helpful for us. The lady on reception was super welcoming and friendly. She gave us a good rundown of what we can see and do in there. There was also a gentleman who offered to talk more about the lifespan, the capture and breeding of the lobsters and the work that the hatchery does. Really interesting. Tickets are valid for a whole year from purchase so if you're visiting regularly it's very well worth the money.

Our 3yo had a blast here and didn't want to leave. It's compact but has loads of information and we got to see plenty of lobsters and crabs including a 2 day old 'batch' of baby lobsters! Really worth an hour or two of your time.

Great place to visit whilst in Padstow especially if you are eating seafood. To be able to appreciate how they are making a difference for welfare and sustainability of seafood is a must in my opinion. Really enjoyed chatting to staff who were passionate and knowledgeable. Worth a visit and the ticket price (which I believe also allows to you return free within the year).

It's possibly the best bacon and egg roll I've ever had! We sat on the terrace, and the view was amazing! Could have happily stayed till lunchtime!

Great place to see how lobsters 🦞 are being helped in not being over fished in the Southwest area by giving younglings a good start in life and then re-released into the sea. Small but intresting area, where you can sponsor a lobster, a couple or a family of four, name them all and if you sponsor more then one they are released together. Helpful friendly staff and dogs are welcome. The downside is (nothing to do with the Hatchery) the car park, dreadful to get a parking space, so arrive very early to get one. So I wouldn't pre-book any tickets to the Hatchery online just in case you can't get parking, which happened to me during the school holidays . Going back again soon to take my friend as paying once gives you all year entry to the Hatchery. We'll done to everyone involved in The National Lobster Hatchery.

A cool place to visit with the kids. There are some live lobsters in the tanks for them to see and some interactive dislays to play with. It's quite small but it is well worth paying for as it helps the local industry in a big way. The little baby lobster in the tank were great too see.

Brilliantly designed attraction. Every bit of space is used to interest and educate. There are a lot of hands on bits: magnet fishing, flaps to open, colouring and puzzle sheets upstairs. It's really interesting to see lobsters of various ages. Very encouraging to see the work being done to support these fascinating creatures. We very much enjoyed the chocolate lobsters from the gift shop, too!

Visited the hatchery on the 18th October 23 - it's an interesting place, I learnt alot ontop of what I already know as a 36 year old during my visit. I adopted a lobster (Doug), can't wait to see him released into the ocean.

Super informative and interesting! It's small, so it won't take much time, but everything that's written is food for thought and the merch is super cute 🦞If you have the chance to take part in a lobster release, do that. It's something you'll never forget.

Not a big place and you pay £7 for an annual ticket. There is no choice of a one-off payment. There is not much to see at all and you complete the tour in a couple of minutes due to the venue being so small.

A nice informative visit for a rainy day in Padstow. Quite a few tanks to see and information to look at. Nice views of the river.

What a fantastic educational place! We walked in half an hour before closing but the lovely man working there was kind enough to educate us on the process and we found it absolutely fascinating! Highly recommend to see with kids 🦞

Hired some bikes and did the trail with my family, very quite just bikes and a few walkers such a lovely ride to Padstow and back, some lovely places to sit and take in the scenery, I'd recommend going along the trail with or without a bike

Rented 2 bikes and a kids cart/trailer, cycled the whole length of the trail and back. Bikes were well looked after, the lads working the front of the shop were really clear and helpful. Definitely recommended if you're in need of bike rental!

The trail offers a spectacular landscape from Wadebridge on both sides towards Bodmin or Padstow , absolutely loved it.

Excellent service, arrive before or on time to guarantee a parking space otherwise you'll need to park elsewhere. Staff are very helpful and make sure everything is set up for you to ride. Just over the road from the start of the trail. Couldn't fault it at all. Had a 4yr old on a tag along on my bike and it's a smooth ride without any hills or tough sections.

Rented bikes from Camel Trail Cycle Hire and made our way out to Padstow and back. There is onsite parking which is handy, the bikes are reasonably priced for the whole day and you also get helmets and a bike lock.

Fantastic service, really helpful staff and nothing was any trouble. We hired two e-bikes for the Camel Trail and spent all day, highly recommend these guys for hire and the e-bikes.

Really cycle hire and starting point to some great cycling. Padstow is about 6 miles along the camel trail. You pass a few cafes and picnic areas. Their is also some scenic sights including the estuary, the bridges and landscapes.

Friendly staff, competitive pricing, dog trailers and free car parking. All equipment was in excellent condition and come with a pannier and bike lock. Hired a bike and dog trailer - cycled from Wadebridge to Bodmin, then to Padstow and back. Throughly enjoyed the day - what an amazing experience!

Loved it.. took the bikes to Padstow and rode to Wadebridge and back (about 11 miles). The ride was nice and flat and my 10 year old managed it with barely any moaning. There are bike hire places available at both ends if you don't have, or can't take your own bikes. The scenery was lovely and there's several places where you can stop and take in the views. We intend to do the next leg of the trail soon, I'll update when we've done it 😊

Fantastic! Parked easily at 9.25. Hired E-bikes. Seth was really helpful and explained everything to us. We biked towards Bodmin and further first then back and then to Padstow and back. Had a lovely lunch at the Camel Trail tea room between Wadebridge and Bodmin. Great day

Beyond amazing service and quality. The staff were super friendly and very helpful. The bikes were in perfect condition and came with panniers. Trail itself was gorgeous with lush vegetation and wild flowers. Highly recommended.

Fantastic place to visit. Stunning walk from Constantine Bay and onto the costal path south. Highly recommended.

Great beach. Huge at load tide. As well as the larger rock pool at the top there are lots of smaller ones for easier access. Crystal clear water. Shop and takeaway on the car park in summer. Great views from the easily accessible cliffs above with lots of benches to admire the view.

Stunning beach with great body boarding waves and within easy access from car park. YHA does great food and drink with views that cannot be bettered. Great little shop and food in the car park.

Wish we'd spotted this sooner. Beautiful bay and lifeguard covered, dog-friendly beach with a sea pool along the North shore. Lots of rock pools to explore too. In spite of the huge grassed car park, it's so much quieter than the other main beaches. Plenty of places beach-side - cafe, toilets, shop. Brilliant. The coast path leads straight off the beach either side. North takes you to Constantine Bay (another beautiful beach). The South path takes you past plenty of scenic views - Pepper, Warren, Fox, Rowan and Long Coves, before reaching Porthcothan Bay. Saved this as a favourite spot.

I found this place just exploring the map and needed something quieter in the busy time. I was surprised, this is amazing place. Actually the best beach we have been in Cornwall. There are toilets, shop, food stall, icecream car. And beautiful views and superb beach.

My favourite place in the world… so much so that maybe I don’t want to tell other people about it! Gorgeous sandy beach with slate cliffs and rock pools. Functional public loos. Well served by food trucks and a newsagents, and the YHA hostel above serves food and drink and sometimes has live music.

Lovely beach, beautiful Coastal Path! The roads to get there are quite hectic with people parking in the worst places. The bathroom on the car park costs 50p, for those who paid the car park that should be included or at least they should accept other forms of payment as nowadays is less often to carry coins.

Beautiful beach, my home away from home. Some long lasting memories with my pups there before I lost them that I'll never forget. Revisited in November with my Rescue for the first time and he loved it just as much!

Lovely small cove with flat sands, shallow sea but with strong waves, and a few rock pools. Main thing is though that it's completely dog friendly with no restrictions. Great for our 2 who really enjoyed a good runaround and splash in the sea, and joking in with the other dogs too. Tip - install the parking app JustPark to make it easier to pay.

Just the place to be albeit very busy car park. The sheltering rocks and lovely sandy beaches to the restaurant and outside bar serving my favourite pasties. If you driving there parking might be an issue 😍 we cycled but there was no bicycle stands to lock our bikes to.

I was working nearby for a week in November. My favourite part of the trip was to stand at the top of the beach, because the tide was high and look out to sea as the sun set. There were calm days and stormy days and a beautiful orange full moon-rise. Breathtaking rugged scenery. I walked to Harlyn Bay along the coast path one evening, and was rewarded with crashing waves and flying sea-foam. Such an exhilarating coastline

Trevone Bay is simply beautiful, lovely wide beach, grassed areas to sit if you prefer, good parking with all the options to pay cash, card, app. A slightly overpriced shop that sells food drink alcohol and gifts, however just one thing spoils it, the toilets, due to being privately owned, they charge 50p per visit, apart from being ridiculously expensive, a lot of people just don't carry cash anymore, and the toilets just aren't that great. Clean the toilets up and impose a token system, with the tokens being sold in the shop (where you can pay by card), I would suggest 4 tokens for a 1.00 would be a more reasonable price, if they don't make this move, they'll be encouraging people to 'go to the toilet's elsewhere, then Trevone Bay will be spoilt !!

A superb location. Not a big wide sweeping beach but incredibly clean and picturesque. Flat and sandy as are most north Cornish beaches and this one is no exception. Great location, dog friendly and excellent parking facilities

Little hike to Trevone bay working up a thirst on route. It was lovely to stop for a coffee and some food which was some light bites toastie, wrap and chips. With drinks it was a bit over £30. More than happy with our stop here to refuel ready for the walk back... There was parking and public toilets available will certainly be back..

Another Cornish beach gem! Easy access car park. Great for surfing or rock pooling or even chilling on the sand. A beach for all comers. Plenty of amenities locally too. I love it here. Plenty of cliff side coastal path walks too. I recommend out of season trips to dodge the crowds. If you come may-sept the walk to porthcothan is most present! With plenty of beautiful wild flowers and birds to observe.

Love this beach, the sea is amazing with long shallow sand that allows you to head out without going too deep. Be careful of currents though. great parking and access down to the sea.

Visited during a weather warning. A very nice and pretty bay. Good for dog walks and part of the coastal path so you can explore the area further. Unfortunately the café was shut when we got there. The parking machines were both temperamental.

Definately beautiful view, car parks get very busy during the day, bar, restaurant, shop next to the park with plenty to choose from, toilets chargable at 50p which is quite a lot considering that you pay £6.60 for a day parking and another £20 for the night if you come in a campervan. Loads of trails and paths around beautiful coastline, and natural sea pool within a very short walk. If you like surfing, lovely sunsets, and a cold beer with live music it is for you.

Lovely little bay, beautiful golden sands with a surf shop and cafe with live music sometimes and toilets (50p to enter). A 5 minute walk along the South West Coast Path and you'll find the tidal pool, great pool👌

Great place to visit. The family has lived there since 1592. So much history and still a family home. We had a tour and fortunately for us there we were the only 2 people on it at that time, noon. The guide Hazel was fantastic and extremely informative, friendly, and funny. We were so lucky to have a personal tour. The cafe was lovely and the food was good and tasty. Staff were helpful and friendly. The fallow deer they have were being fed at the time and my good lady got the chance to hand feed one of them. Definitely recommend visiting.

Shame house was closed, but beautiful gardens, great tea room. Wonderful deer. Recommend a visit whilst in Padstow, will return to visit the house.

Lovely house and gardens. Not the biggest to look around, but if you're in the Padstow area and have half a day to spare, it's well worth a visit. The tour around the house is very good. Our guide (Carol in think?) was very informative and explained all about the various rooms, paintings and other artifacts. The walk around the garden is pleasant and not to challenging.

What a gem, a most beautiful and interesting house. But I went with two friends and we all agreed that our guide on the day was extremely rude! Not just with us, she was unbelievably rude and belittling to a lady who dared to ask a straightforward question. On a brighter note the staff in the tearoom were excellent as was the food, generous portions and very good quality.

I attended Prideaux Place with my husband and 5 year old daughter after winning a gift voucher for a guided tour and cream tea experience. My whole family had a wonderful time, we were greeted by both the house manager and a lovely lady in the tea room and we recieved such a friendly warm welcome on arrival. The tour itself was interesting, the house is beautiful and the tour guide was very informative, personable and charismatic. My husband came away hoping to go on more guided tours in the future - so the bar has been set high! The grounds are really lovely and have a really peaceful feel to them. My daughter loved exploring in the gardens. The cream tea was delicious and all the more enjoyable when overlooking the enclosed herd of deer. I would absolutely recommend to anybody considering visiting this beautiful place.

Very historic place and a must for Rosamunde Pilcher fans. The coffee shop serves great food in a quiet surrounding. Very lovely staff. Parking is great next to the house. The lady who showed us around was nice just a little confused and could have done the tour a bit more exiting.

I had a tour of the house today with Henrietta (her first time as tour guide). I heard many present say what an outstandingly interesting speaker she was (in some cases, the best they'd ever heard). She is a relative of the family and therefore has personal knowledge and experience of growing up at Prideaux Place. The visit was so enjoyable and her enthusiasm infectious. I suspect she will be a great asset to the guide team. Thank you.

Would definitely recommend. Lovely to get away from the hustle and bustle of Padstow Harbour! A very beautiful house with a very interesting history having managed to stay in the same family all these years. Amazing that the current owners still live there and seem to be happy to coexist with the tourists. It gives such a personal and interesting insight. Slightly odd tour guide but maybe that's some of the charm! Had cake and coffee in the café which was very nice. Gardens are relatively small which means they are easy to get round. Whole tour of house, gardens and cake took about 2 1/2 hours but you could spend much longer if you wanted. Cost £10 per adult for house and gardens including tour.

Nice traditional residence/stately home/manor house with a huge garden & park behind. A guided tour inside the building is very interesting & awesome. You should book it, even it is not for free. Unfortunately, it's not allowed to take pictures inside the house, as it is private and some family members are still living in it. You are travelling back in time to a forgotten period of history. A really different world.

The staff where polite enough the inflatables have got smaller since our last visit not as many. The cost of refreshments has jumped massively I would advise take your own unless you would like to remortgage your house for a cup of tea .. Elon musk could just about afford a hot chocolate disgraceful

The course in the pictures in completely different to what it is. Beach cafe was closed although it states open. No clear signs of where to go or parking. No happy with it as its very mis leading. Small course and false advertising

Excellent fun for the whole family. Kids loved it, but have to say I was shattered by the end of it Would highly recommend this if you ever watch similar on the telly and wanted to give it a go

I hurt so bad today. Haha. Loved every minute of it! First session of the morning was quite and we had a fab time. Took my son and two of my friends. All really enjoyed it. Staff very friendly and helpful. The place was really clean and the water was fab! We will be back

For water lovers and those wanting to have fun, this place is well worth a visit ... i would recommend you book in advance, all equipment needed for the session is provided along with changing rooms and hot shower. Park has plenty of stuff to go on however and my only complaint would be the amount of bird droppings on the equipment.. the team cleared it up, in a fashion.. needs attention as could start to look a bit dirty and tired.. looking beyond that, I would definitely recommend, lots of fun. Bar serving alcoholic soft hot drinks food also on site ..

Excellent staff who pushed me faster than I ever would, they had me hitting the features in no time, super supportive and really knew their stuff. The downside is the equipment, the resort need to invest because it’s falling apart. For the price you expect more, please fix this Aria!

Very friendly staff, new smart facilities, wetsuit and life jacket provided, and hot showers. Decent size course, water a little murkey, but depth only 2m so no slides, no high jumping platform like at kernow,

Nice facilities with warm showers - fancy! The equipemnt was is good condition - we got stuck in traffic so missed the first 20mins of session but luckily intructor kept the safety brief short & direct. I will mention, we went for a 29th birthday & a huge appeal was the wrestling/carnage, we definately would not have been able to do that in the second session as there were so many people booked on. I would reccomend dodging busy times!

Fantastic staff at Flo Rider session. My 14 year old daughter was booked in for a public session. Never surfed before and is not very confident. Staff were very professional and supportive. Well worth the money. A full 5 stars.

Firstly I must admit that I have never personally visited the Padstow Brewing Co but I was lucky enough to receive an assortment gift box for my birthday. The 3 beers I have tasted so far are all up there amongst some of the best beers I have tasted and I have been a real ale connoisseur for a very long time. Rest assured I will visit personally the next time I am in Padstow, all the very best for the future, we need small and independent Brewing companies like you.

Just finished at the PBC and it was brilliant. The guys there are brilliant and the tour was really informal and chilled out. Gave good insight into what they do there and had brilliant explanations into the way they do things. Worthwhile and would 100% recommend if you can! Loads of drink to taste and worth visiting their tap rooms after!

Love Padstow Brewing Company ales and ciders and really impressed with their online shop. I've ordered a few times and it has always arrived quickly. The customer service is great. Last week I placed an order for a keg and some bottles. The next day I had a phone call to say that the keg I had ordered needed a day or two to settle before it could be sent. I was given the option to wait or have another sent instead and it would arrive the next day. I chose to wait and my order arrived a couple of days later. Yes, it is a bit more expensive than other local brewers but so is everything in Padstow! I live a long way from Cornwall and only visit once a year so its nice to be able to have a pint of Padstow at home.

Spent a day watching and helping George the brewer do the end to end process of brewing beer. Fantastic day, very educational and lots of tastings along the way. Highly recommend for anyone interested in the brewing process.

We love visiting The Padstow Tasting Rooms when we are holidaying in Padstow and always take plenty home. It was only during lockdown that I discovered they deliver. My order was with me within 2 days and it was well packaged in strong boxes. I've just started on my keg of Sunlight cider and it's going down a treat. Great service and exceptional beers and ciders.

Stuart was absolutely outstanding. This is a a great craft brewery outing well worth doing. Stuart pitched his explanation to the crowd, but he could also answer technical questions in depth. Well done guys. Your beers are worthy of the Padstow name. We enjoyed every single beer/cider we sampled. We are staying Padstow, and have also been to the shop there and bought more supplies!

This is exactly a fantastic place to walk to when on a trip to Cornwall, I did this walk with my friends and our dogs and I would highly reccomend this to absolutely anyone who what's to see the amazing beauty that Cornwall has to offer. I absolutely loved walking here and doing the three hour round walk from Padstow to Padstow walking past here

Lovely walk if you're fairly fit stunning views so worth the effort, anyway go and see for yourselves.

Lovely walk with the dog. Up and down, with so with stoney bits. If you don't want to walk down and up the steap bit near steppers point as quite narrow and uneven take the left route and go past the new look out, still narrow in a small area but not as steap. We came back that way and also saved loads of time. Also a dog bowl for a water stop.

I went overnight tent camping at Stepper Point as one of my summer camp experiences around 1967 or so. The pictures are still as I remember it all those years ago. As the house we were staying in was in Polzeath, straight across Padstow Bay, we had arranged to light a fire big enough for those staying at the house to see. When they saw it, they were supposed to flash car headlights. Just as we set the fire in a rock wall, a guided lifeboat tour came around Stepper Point and we waved enthusiastically. However, this was interpreted as “Help!!!” During the night, a strong gale force wind whipped up and shredded one of the tents, resulting in those campers piling into the other tents. We were woken up by 3 policemen at dusk, who had hiked the 5-mile trail to “rescue” us. They were reciting a famous egg commercial at the time, “Good morning! Good morning! Go to work on an egg.”

Good views of the wild North Atlantic, and across to Polzeath beach. Nice 4 mile walk from Padstow or similar distance from Trevone beach along the coast

Did the coastal walk round from iron cove to stepper point to pepper hole. Well worth it for a the views, good walk and some cows to see too!

Is a satisfaction to get there after a long walk but very nice,you can enjoy the views they are magnific...no words when you see the sea!!!

We visited here for breakfast. It was absolutely spot on! (See photo's attached) Plenty for kids to do, family fun. Service was great, the place is clean, and the animals are friendly. There's even a play area for kids while you can sit back and relax in the sun and have a drink. Would highly recommend coming here if you are passing by.

No pictures today as I feel it is a little unfair as it was raining! Staff and cafe is great well stocked including cakes (vegan as well), coffee, beer and cans of soft drinks. Farm is small but packs a punch with Ponies, pigs (the favourite of my kids), alpacas etc. Lovely place to spend some time at a very very reasonable price. Did not stay on the campsite but it did look very clean and tidy.

Me and my family visited on Saturday evening for their BBQ food. I got the small BBQ box which was filled with the most juiciest pulled pork and brisket. The meat was succulent and fell apart in my mouth. Also I'm the box was the most cheesiest creamy mac and cheese, house made coleslaw and potato salad. All food was delicious and received in a timely manner. My partner had the Large BBQ box, which had the same contents as mine, just a lot more food. We also ordered a side of chicken wings with garlic mayo and they were delicious and just as juicy as the other meats. We both had left overs so took them home to eat later on as the food was far too good to waste. The Texan BBQ sauce was lovely, nice and vinegary as it should be, and pouring over the pulled pork was an unworldly taste experience. My mouth is watering writing this review. The restaurant is very BBQ style looking out to all the animals and country side, there was an indoor seating and outdoor. We opted for outdoor, which was under cover, it was cold outside but not in the restaurant thanks to the overhead heaters. Definitely would recommend this place. And we will be returning for their pizza nights. If my review doesn't get you to go there... You should anyway to form your own opinion even though it will be exactly the same.

We camped here over the Easter weekend and to be honest this is the best campsite I have ever stayed at. This is the first place to ever state that it's a 10 Minutes walk to the beach and it is just that, although you can drive it in about three minutes. The site has a range of animals and carries out experiences everyday at really reasonable prices that my little boy really enjoyed. The facilities are top class and more like a hotel than your usual campsite toilet and shower block. There is a Cafe/Bar on site that sells local Beers and ales and offers a range of food and hot drinks. The menu really is good, but it's worth also grabbing a wood fired pizza (and you may also see a bake contestant making these.) They also offer live music on a few nights with local musicians playing a range of songs. If you are not one for camping Macdonald's farm also offers a B&B option or glamping. If you are new to camping or don't want to go that far off the grid, then this is the place to start.

Very nice place to visit. Special for family. Very dog friendly place. Toilet and shower facilities was great but not enough for fully booked campsite. A little bit far away when you are located at the end of campsite

Absolutely Loved This Camping Sight. We Loved The Animals! The Facilities were incredible and the staff were helpful at all times of the day! Beach is only 2 minutes away, it’s dog friendly Which for any dog family it’s amazing, beautiful walks, not far away from anything so perfect location. I am definitely going to be sharing with my friends and family and will be returning.

We stayed in one of the B&B rooms, which was a gorgeous room. Plenty of space even with the sofa bed made up. Fridge(with fresh milk), kettle , tea, coffee and hot chocolate supplied as well as biscuits. Compact but perfectly good shower en suite. An amazing breakfast all freshly cooked to order. The grounds were well kept and tidy. Lots of animals to pet and feed. Reasonable priced drinks from the bar. A 10 minute walk to gorgeous Porthcothan beach, or a 2 minute drive. The campsite also looked nice. We will definitely be returning and recommending Macdonald's farm to friends.

Genius place to take the little ones. Great play area. Lovely animals. Fab indoor toys. And… a bar for the adults! What a great place! Will be back for pizza soon

Stayed in one of the rooms here while walking the South West Coast path. Such a lovely place with great vibes and fab wood fired pizza on Saturday night. The staff are all super friendly and helpful. We only had two little sachets of coffee for our room and when I asked if we could have a couple more they gave us a jar (Which we didn’t steal!!).

We had a child sent home from school Ill with covid in class day before a trip. We were also due a very windy weekend. We looked to cancel, rearrange or any form of refund even for a day but were not allowed. As we had paid. I went along with one child the day after leaving a very disappointed second child at home. Putting the tent up with the wind was challenging but thankfully my four year old sat on it while I carried on. Another single parent had similar problems with tent but 3 others helped and parked vehicles nearby to help stop the tent blowing away. The site however cannot be faulted. Well Maintained, Clean, fresh, good food, pizzas and pizza dogs are ace, drinks are pricey but water is easily accessible for free. Note however the petting experiences with animals were cancelled v early in day despite being a few hours away. If you are buying into the complete experience which we were maybe book the night before or on the day.

Went here off season, (end of september) nice to be able to see all the animals. We were told at this time of year no charge for entry and none of the daily feeds, rides or anything occuring. We sat down had some food and drinks and was then charged to go outside. We didnt query it as its supporting local business just slightly unfare when friends the week before and also people on same site we stayed at also said the same. Needs to be one rule for all 😝

Such a nice place! Incredible vibe, outdoor seating had plenty of heaters, the BBQ and Pizza's are unreal and on top of that the live music was great! Definitely one to add to your list if you're yet to visit..

Excellent campsite. Very clean, great food (shame they don’t serve on a Sunday though) lots to do for the kids. Great play area and the animals are cute. Thanks for having us. We will be back!

Car park a bit small so we had to wait a short while at Rock, but everything was really nice. I enjoyed the ferry which was reasonably priced. All in all, it added to our day out and I would go again.

Came for a holiday in February. Always love Cornwall, especially Padstow and the Ferry.The staff are always polite and friendly and welcome our little 16 year old dog onboard with his dog buggy.🙂🙂

I have used this ferry for over 50 years and enjoyed every minute.Until the end of May this year. The person taking the money spoke (shouted at) us as though we were naughty childrem. He could have asked us nicely to move along to the cabin .He had been working since 10.00 am and it was nearly 6.00pm and he would have to work after 6,00 pm We should not sit in family groups either. I'm surprised no one complained to him at the time. Also there don't appear to be return tickets anymore which makes it quite a lot more expensive.

Very quick and efficient ferry service, takes less than 10 minutes to cross from Rock to Padstow. Nice clean boats and you can pay by card. No return tickets available so you have to buy 2 singles if you want to come back.

Go to transport to go over to Padstow and back. Run by lovely people 💕

We enjoyed our ferry ride. 18 pounds felt slightly expensive for a return journey but the kids enjoyed the short boat ride. We parked at Rock Quarry Car Park by the beach and got Ferry over to Padstow to do some shopping. Expect to queue in peak season but two boats are crossing so you don't have to wait long.

There isn’t much choice and the price is what it is , but the people are always friendly and chatty , the trip is sometimes rougher than it looks but hey it’s the sea, get used to it 😂 great that dogs are allowed and love a day trip over to Padstow

Great ferry service and not too expensive

Fast, efficient and frequent service, probably the best way to avoid getting tangled up in peak time Traffic in Padstow. Very expensive however, £15 both ways for two adults and a child for what is a 10min ferry ride. Consider this especially if you are going to Padstow off-peak when parking in the town is easier and cheaper. Keep an eye out on the board on the beach if leaving from the Rock, low tide means the boat leaves a 5min walk along the beach from the main slipway by the car park, so you might want to take this into consideration on timing. Additionally make sure you are fully aware of the last ferry time which finishes any time between 1600 and 1800 depending on the season.

The museum is a treasure, with lots of stories to tell and very interesting and knowledgeable volunteers. Free to enter, but donations help them to run this little beauty.

Great little museum, free entry, you can donate if you like. The man looking after the museum knew lots about the festivals in Cornwall and their origins. Great place to visit if you like local history.

Sparkling new and fresh with a great insight to Padstows history. Splendid, helpful staff who'll usually be able to answer most questions so dont be afraid to ask! Lots of interactive sections, photos and genuine local items on display. IT'S TOTALLY FREE!!!

Wow what a lovely find whilst wondering around behind Mr Stein’s deli. A charming place full of local history, well laid out and some great audio visuals to watch. Staff were charming and informative. 😊

Very interesting little museum which adds a lot to a visit to Padstow. Very pleasant and engaging volunteer staff. Easy parking and combines well with a visit to the lobster research centre (nearly opposite).

Small but very interesting, worth a visit

Very informative and fun. Captures your attention and the staff are lovely; you are left to read all you want, or if you ask a question you get all the info you need, and a local's insight! The layout flows with a good balance of reading, displays and interactive learning. An enjoyable place to spend an hour or so :)

We loved the trying the different beers, doing the flight is a great idea. The local brut was very easy drinking too. Nice that you can buy beers to take away. A good find after other places on the harbour were full!

Perfect blend of ambience, great service and tasty drinks. My husband recommends the hedge sour and I enjoyed the local brut. Enjoy!

Great little micro pub. Wide selection of locally brewed beers. We had the tasting board, which was reasonably priced, and the beers were all exceptional. Very friendly staff, made us feel welcomed and valued.

Beer was good. Not the best space for an evening drink outside as it's in the shade. Stout wasn't on, which was disappointing. Duke Street location seemed much nicer when we had to go there to buy cider to take away.

Great little brewery taproom. 7 options on tap from the Padstow Brewery range, including a lager and cider, as well as cans and bottles to drink in or takeaway. Dog friendly.

This was the first time, that I had tried any beer, from the Padstow Brewing company. As I am a real ale drinker, of many years, this was a great surprise to discover such a very good selection of ales as well as a delicious pilsner.

Wonderful place to enjoy a drink and chat with friends or family. Been here a few times over the past couple of years and would highly recommend if you want to try some drinks that expand your tastes.

Very nice beer and especially the cider! Try the tasting of three drinks for 5£ and don't forget the cider as it's one of the better ones that I have tried. Sat upstairs and enjoyed the escape from the busy summer street's of Padstow, but you can also sit outside. Limited seats. Friendly staff. Recommended!!!

We didn't have any food but the menu looked great for accompanying drinks and chat. We had some wonderfull beers which are brewed very locally. Some great beers for experimenting and trying new things. We had a few cocktails too which were very tasty. And all.the staff were lovely and helpful and up for a giggle. Great time. Highly recommended

Fantastic experience and had the BEST crab sandwich ever, it was truly sublime and such a welcoming host. Catered to our every need, cant recommend enough❤️❤️❤️

Fill your boots whilst waiting for your Chips at Chip Ahoy next door Would recommend a ‘Flight’ of three beers/ciders to find your feet, and then go for the ones you like Available in bottles, kegs for takeaway Also salty snacks on the menu Tables outside are nice if the sun is shining, but loses the sun early evening , so would recommend you abide at lunchtime Dogs allowed in and out Brewery up the road also offers tasting tours

Haven't done this review for a while as had to get some more info. Brilliant place to visit, with stunning views open to the public aslong you get out of the way if they get a shout. If you want it more in-depth call in this weekend as they're having an open weekend that's the 11th- 12th August where you can be shown around and ask the crew any questions you may have. It's worth going just for the stunning views the rest is a bonus. The Lifeboat is a voluntary organisation and these guys risk there lives for people in trouble at Sea and sometimes sadly don't come back, so go and see them it's well worth the effort 😊😊😊.

I arrived to do some photography on a gloomy wet day, lovely walk along the coast to the lifeboat station, the walk around the headland takes you to trevose lighthouse.

Wasn't open on the day we visited but still some great views to be had

Amazing structure for folks who do a challenging but essential job.

We attended the life boat open day and it was well worth it. It was well organised and the staff were friendly and helpful getting us to the site. The roads were blocked quite a bit and it took us a while to reach the car park but with the narrow roads and wide berth caravans going to a site near the station, I think they did pretty well. Some drivers should learn patience though. The station itself was well worth seeing and the display they put on was brilliant, I'd definitely attend next time if they held it here.
