Some great rides for young children. Minimum wait times, a little run-down but a fun day for us all. Our experience was just at the end of the easter break. The manager was welcoming and helpful. All staff were polite and made kids feel safe. I only would suggest a picnic. Chips were worse than McCain microwave chips; I never tried the pizza. The hot drinks were good, and a value for money on the refillable coffee, for 6.50.

Visited over Easter with my twin 8 year-olds. They are both just over 1.3 m tall and were able to go on practically every ride, except for one as far as I can recall. There are hardly any queues probably due to us going slightly out of season. The park was clean, staff friendly. The sea lion show at midday was brilliant and one of the best I’ve seen of its type in various parks and zoos. The park is deceptively large and has a huge number of rides. Some of them are basic but very well done. Others are epic rollercoasters. It’s a great variety. We ate lunch in the pizzeria which was superb. Food was great and I was even able to get a nice cold pint which was very welcome. We stayed from morning until closing and had a really fun day. Will definitely go back. Really good value for money and great location as you are on the Suffolk coast so lots of other things to do if you are staying in that area for a weekend.

Not bad, but very similar to how it was in the 90s and clearly needs some love and investment, as other recent reviewers noted. On balance not bad value for money though, quite easy to spend a day here with younger children. Food offering particularly poor, just two places open where sitting in was possible - one had a huge queue, the other, a pizza restaurant, had run out of pizzas (at 1230 on a Monday????). Staff generally good and keen. My six year old enjoyed it.

This was our first time visiting this year (2022) and we really enjoyed it! There's so much to go on for all the family (2 parents, 9yr old, 5yr old) and I'd recommend trying out as much as possible! We went on a warm day, and the water ride was one of the first few we went on - and it was easy to dry off walking around the park for the rest of the day (don't worry, you don't get too wet). Also, plenty of the rides were suitable for both our children to go on together without us parents getting in their way :) They loved it, and I'm sure you would too. It has onsite free parking so nothing to worry about there either. Go and have fun!

Decided to visit here on the last day of our holiday, where so excited all week, me (22) sister (11). Turned up, paid £48.00 even though I thought it was £19.00 each. About 10 coaches of school kids running round. Large park but sparse rides, wipe out coaster decent, but jolly drop tower, ONE drop, not even any teases. Other rides funfair value, little kiddies £1 shopping mall rides. Food not served when tried to order at 11.30am. And when it was served I had asked how many chicken chunks in a meal and was told 4, watched the 3 girls make it and they dropped the fourth one so served me 3 chunks and said nothing about it, £11 odd I think for that and £3 to refill a small cup with a soft drink. had my sister begging to leave as she was “ wasting her last day of holiday “ by midday. £48 for less than two hours, including eating time! Photo is us waiting on the stone pavement for a lift 5 hours earlier than we had planned, bored. Very very poor , should be a buy tokens per ride payment plan or £10 wristbands. No staff asked why we was leaving so early so I suspect it happens a lot. Certainly no Alton Towers

Don’t waste your money here! The whole park seems derelict apart from a few rides that are over 40 years old that are unkept/or cared for - It was the worst day trip my children have ever had! Such a disappointing experience it put a cloud over our holiday. I’ve emailed Pleasurewood Hills twice and they can’t even muster up an apology. there were several rides that were out of commission with 8ft fencing around which was blown over and dangerous. The facilities were disgusting, we arrived at 10 am and the toilets clearly hadn’t been cleaned, i wouldn’t dare let my children eat there. One ride, the wooden walkway to the ride was rotten and unsafe with empty oil can left at the side of the rollercoaster. Save your money and your disappointment!

Lovely theme park with an abundance of rides for the younger kids and toddlers, aswell as a few really good ones for the older kids and adults. They also have animal shows (parrot and seals) that weren't bad, and a small soft play area. The gift shop let's it down though, with nothing printed 'Pleasurewood Hills' on it. It was like shopping at a market where there are random things like play dolls and other random toys.

Great day out. Minimal queues, often none. Staff friendly and fun but not intrusive. The place was clean. Toilets okay. Food quite pricey but decent.

We visited PWH’s towards the end of the summer holidays. The car park was full so I would say that the park was busy. Please read all of the review. The park is definitely in need of a major renovation and clean up. There are large areas of disused equipment and structures that are slowly falling apart. The train carriages, that use to be a restaurant many years ago I think, are now derelict. The dodgems that were in front of it gone. The old ornamental ponds are now green and over grown. But the rides that were working, several were closed even though showing as open on the app, were great. Maybe not the one where you had a clear view of the rather old internal workings!!!! There is no doubt if you can look past the tiredness of the park it makes for a great day out for younger kids and families. The log flume is great, as are the egg coaster and Wipeout. The cost of entry is not extravagant and the carer policy is great with 3 being allowed on to a ride along with the individual wearing the wrist band. The sea lion show is fantastic!! I do hope they manage to tidy up the park as if it keeps on its current trajectory it will only get worse and probably end up closing its doors for good. A good day out for the family.

Great for a family day out especially for younger children. Some rides are a little tired but can’t fault the staff who were friendly and assisted us when my little one fell over and needed a plaster. Sea lion and parrot show was very entertaining and offered the opportunity to have pictures taken with animals after for a small fee. Gift shop prices were very expensive compared to others but overall a very good day out!

Do not pay full price for PWH Get your Tesco club card points out if you are desperate for something to do. We went on its first day of opening in 2024 (March 29th) expecting rides to be all sparkling , jet washed, painted and cleaned. This was not so. The place looked like the fairground from Hiroshima in places. Rides that were full of leaves and rotten smelly water (elephant ride) the safari ride was filthy. Steering wheel falling apart. Rusty bits of metal sticking out and torn material. There’s authentic and then there’s deaths traps! £18 per adult that includes 3yr olds who by the way if need to be min 90cm minimum tall to go on certain rides. Explain to me how a child who is 90cm can go on the egg rollercoaster accompanied by an adult but not the umbrella ride (opposite) that looked about as exciting as watching paint dry. Confused face! Also the egg rollercoaster clearly hadn’t been tested before opening as they had not cut back the winter foliage as my wife was smashed in the face by a branch. Luckily she walked away unscathed. Pro’s … the staff as much as most have them looked like they’ve just finished their GCSE’S were very smiley, polite and pleasant (might be first day high) toilets were clean. Parking was free (for now) . There’s a McDonald’s just before the park, so don’t pay stupid money for food on site or take a picnic Overall, this place needs a big cash injection a with some new rides or at least a proper clean and lick of paint. Sadly won’t be returning

Fun day out very expensive to buy tickets on the gate, so make sure you pre book ! Unless you have a blue light card, and it ends up not that bad on the gate(blue light card can be used up to 4 persons ) . 1st ride pirate ship, qued up for 10 minutes, then to be told it's broken down, so off we go to cannon ball express same again broken down ! After this, it wasn't too bad a day. If i could offer some advice, take your food for the little ones as the choices aren't that great. Haven't been for over 10 years, and quote a few bits have been taken away, but not much has been put in its place. Please please pleasurewood hills re invest in new rides and better maintenance 🙏🏼

Have been here several times over the years so know what to expect, certainly not a Merlin attraction. I do think the park needs some money spent on it and some new rides as it’s quite dated. It’s an expensive day out for what it is, we luckily use Tesco vouchers and bring our own picnic. The 80’s circus and sea lion show was enjoyable.

Absolutely amazing value for money. Rides suitable for all ages. At least two decent rollercoasters for children over 0.9m, and bigger rollercoasters for older children and adults. Lots and lots of other rides for people of all ages including toddlers. Two gauges of miniature railway go around the park. A chair lift runs the length of the park as well. High adrenaline rides and relaxing rides available and everything in between. High quality entertainment was available throughout the day, including a sea lion show and a circus. Staff on all rides were very friendly and the atmosphere was wonderful. We stayed 10am-5pm and time flew by.

It's been a while since I had visited Pleasurewood Hills, and it holds some good memories as a kid. Knowing that it isn't one of the big thrill seeker theme parks I thought I'd bring my own children. They loved it... went on rides despite the pouring rain, met Woody the bear, and generally legged it from one place to the other. As a bonus, we attended on last day of half term and they had a fireworks display which was great. I guess that now I am a little older I do look at things with a different view, some areas could do with a lick of paint, or perhaps a little more explaining etc. The place is feeling very tired in some areas, and for me it's lost some of that small child charm that perhaps it once had (think decorated shop fronts / lots of character type meets and things happening as you wondered from one ride to another). Some staff were very friendly and great with the kids, a few others it seemed like we were asking them to go above and beyond to go on a ride...! Some people have mentioned how expensive the food and drink is... to be fair it's probably about going rate for a theme park. We did manage to get to the parrat show, which was great. Some of the old school parrot tricks along with a few newer ones. Wonderful little show! Would recommend going here if you have kids in that middle bracket of needing something more than toddler rides, but a little less than thrill seeker type rides. If your kid is close to 1 metre then perhaps be a little prepared to accompany your child on some of the rides.

I worked here for two years when it first opened in the 1980s. Now revisiting with family it has certainly grown up and changed a lot. The flagship ride Wipeout is a great coaster ride which in reality will be the only highlight if you are a white knuckle experience chaser. However there is now plenty to keep the less adrenalin fuelled persons busy from the water flume, to dodgems and two other more tame coasters plus lots of other more tame experiences. Good value for money especially at the low season prices. Parrot and sealion shows a must

This was my first time ever visiting a zoo. It was an amazing experience. We had the opportunity to get up close and personal with some of the animals there (not the lions, they were antisocial and slept most of the day). The kids who I saw visited were enjoying themselves petting some of the animals. I would definitely recommend families to visit here. I have a lot more photos but I uploaded the ones I still have on my phone.

We had a fantastic time at Africa Alive. From start to finish, it was amazing. The highlight was a Meerkat encounter, where we were looked after by Faye, an obvious animal lover who was very informative and made our experience extremely special. We're planning our next visit and can't wait to return. Thoroughly recommend a visit.

Good day out. Could have done with a map as Im not sure I saw everything. Lots of information boards for each animal that are easy to read. The zebra Land Train, was very popular. Cafe has outside seating overlooking a pond with water birds to watch. Relaxing. Lots of amusements for kids. Plenty of toilets Wheelchair friendly. Will return.

Lovely spacious wildlife park Animals all have large enclosures, all look looked after and cared for. Easy access for wheelchairs and pushchairs. The paths are all gritted which can make pushing a manual wheelchair quite difficult and a very bumpy ride for those in mobility scooters with the solid wheels. Mobility scooters were available to hire also. Large cafe with the most friendliest staff in there. All very clean, very well looked after and great selection of food and drinks. Plenty of toilet blocks dotted around too. Keeper talks are very interesting. Would definitely return if I'm ever in the area.

Went on 09.05.2022 week day so was very quiet, single carriageway from Norwich and got stuck behind a tractor. Large play area for children, you can watch them play whilst eating your lunch. Food is reasonably priced but you can bring your own. Toilets are clean and round the back of the cafe. Zebra train does have silent trips. Takes 15 mins to go around. Lots of walking involved as the animals have very large enclosures which is great. Board walk was a little boring as we didn't see any wildlife. Would recommend as there are different animals to Banham Zoo. The zebras, giraffes, rhinos, ostriches are all in one enclosure. Lonely cheetah and a pride 5 lions their own enclosures. We spent about 3.5 hours here and managed to see and do everything (even a train tour), daughter had a little play in the park. Mini golf is free.

Had a great experience. All exhibits open (June 22) Stood a few feet away from lions rhino and giraffes. Was amazing. Park layout is innovative and imaginative. Animals well cared for place is ace! Have the kids fill out the form and get a medal ! Good value for money.

Great day out. The talks we saw were informative and the staff are brilliant. The lemur enclosure was our favourite as you are in there with these amazing creatures. The only negative was that certain concession stands were closed and the jumping pillow in the play area wasn’t open. Having paid the peak season rates I would have expected the full offering to be available. Overall a great day and we will be returning in the future.

Tickets was expensive for what it is. Alot of open space but not a bad thing really. Animals looked very happy, and well cared for. Only saw one keeper throughout the visit. Was happy to see a plated lizard as my brother had one as a pet when we was children and that made my day lol. Lady who scanned ticket in shop seemed down & slightly miserable. But either way enjoyed our hour or so walking round :)

Great zoo! I have a lot more pictures in the camera and will download once get chance. We had kids age ranging 13-1. They all enjoyed it there. Went there for Easter weekend. Only downfall is that the restaurant only serves pizza and Salads. My kids don’t like pizzas at all. So went to nearest McDonald’s for the meal. They have mini golf , Which kids really enjoyed. The weather was nice so all the animals were out. Giraffe, rhino, snakes, zebra, ostrich, buffalo, sheep, goats, cheetah, owls, parrots, flamingos , meerkats, hyenas are some of the animals we enjoyed.

It is a good place to spend a good couple of hours. The lion enclosure is brilliant, there is a viewing platform where you are able to see them clearer rather than through the fencing. The planes of Africa area enclosure is large and gives good example of how these animals would interact in the wild (although on a much smaller scale). It was an enjoyable morning, I would have loved to have seen the cheetahs but unfortunately the enclosure was having maintenance works, so they are not available to view.

This was sort of a hidden Gem. The entrance doesn't do it justice. Once you drive in the gates and right down to the car park you get a sense of the scale. You get very close to the animals, Such a variety. Kids loved it. The restaurant & Park was also great. Highly recommend.

Went on a hot day so some of the animals were not very active. Kids enjoyed the bouncy pillow and digging in the sand. Zookeeper talks were good, without them day would have been quite short as not a big park. Ice creams seemed expensive.

Great day out for all the family. Parking easy. Lovely cafe for hot drinks and a great selection of food. All animals looked well cared for and happy. Quite an unusual collection too. Huge inflatable pillow for the kids to play on while we had our paninis and coffee. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable, we watched a few of the feeding sessions and talks. Enjoyed our day out very much and was worth the entrance fee. We spent at least 6 hours here. The kids loved it.

Excellent zoo. Very spaced out so plenty to see and not lots of people as your spaced out. Animals of Africa although no elephants but you saw everything including the lions. Service at every stand was really good. Staff seemed happy. Not overpriced

Perfect day out for little ones. We were visiting yarmouth for the weekend. Parking is easy, easy to find the place, lots of choice of things to eat and drink. Took our 2 year old he loved exploring and pointing at animals. All the animals seemed happy and relaxed. I haven't been since I was a child, so taking my son was a nice way to return. Relatively inexpensive compared to other zoos. Would recommend taking wellie boots if its rained.

This is probably a little unfair as a review, as it's winter in an African themed Zoo; Price☆☆☆☆☆- Were super reasonable, 21 quid for 2 adults probably the best out of all the zoos in the area, especially considering its variety of endangered animals. Guest Facilities☆☆☆- some were shut due to it being mid week/winter which is completely fair. Toilets were clean and standard. There is a restaurant, we didnt go in but looked fine. There seemed to be a lot of animal talks around the zoo, assumingly for busier periods, which again is fine. Bins were a little sparce, especially on the north side of the zoo. Education☆☆☆- Boards and reading information on every exhibit. Zoo keepers didn't really interact much which is neither here nor there really, but is nice when they do. Animals☆☆☆☆- I was actually super excited when i saw the amount of rare animals advertised, it definitely has the best collection of endangered and different animals in the area, and of any zoo i've visited so far. The only problem really was not being able to see the animals, mainly on the north side of the zoo. A lot of animals were in their sleeping enclosures (it being winter) some of them had windows you could see into, but the buffalos/deer species and lemur species did not have this. So there was a few empty habitats, which is to be expected since its winter, but more viewing areas would be great! The south side where the smaller animals are was very good though. The animals all looked healthy, a little tired maybe but again, it is VERY cold today. Habitats were all clean and reasonably large though. Accessibility ☆☆☆- I'm a part time wheelchair user. It was 98% accessible, the park is very flat so nice and easy to get around. Though a lot of grass that sometimes we wanted to cut across. Ramps for most viewing areas. Most of the north of the zoo is gravel pathways which were a little bumpy and uncomfortable. Viewing areas with doors were manual, as they usually are in zoos, so little assistance is needed with those. Overall, nice big zoo. My first time going, I believe we didn't get to see it at it's best due to it being winter, which is to be expected with animals that prefer the warmth. Loved the quirky selection of animals. Gift shop was good, not full of random crap like other zoos. Had a REALLY good selection of quality plushies (personal preference, but it's rare these days) Staff encountered were polite. Would recommend going in the summer :) 🦓🦏🦒

A great day out for the family and couples for a reasonable price. For me and my partner, we paid £16 (£8 a ticket each) due to the fact we are students. These were afternoon tickets, meaning you can enter the zoo from 2pm - 5pm. By having 3 hours at the park for £8 each, I would consider that pretty reasonably priced. The park itself is very spacious and has many animals to look at. The animals all look very well cared for and have some amazing, large habitats that they can roam around in. My favourite animal at the park would have to be the giraffes or the lions. On site, it would be better if they could have more food stalls open on these afternoon tickets as the only place to buy food and drink was right at the front of the park as all other stalls were closed. Toilets at times were also pretty dirty, but lots available throughout the park. Gift shop is stocked with some nice souvenirs and toys for kids and the staff here are all very friendly and helpful. If you’re looking for a zoo and having a nice fun day out, I would recommend Africa Alive.

What a brilliant place :-) All animals look lovely and healthy. Enclosures are kept clean and spacious. Zoo keepers are friendly. Facilities and playground are very nice. We as a family spend all day there :-)

Visited for the Blackpool Weekend and it was incredible, really was impressed by everything on offer. The free park and ride was very convenient, entry tickets represented good value for money and the staff were both knowledgeable and passionate. The cafe was superb and well priced; the chips are worth a special mention by the way! The range of exhibits available was very good; everything from motorbikes to milk floats, caravans and taxis plus buses, a train, trams and even traction engines. Something for everyone basically. Of course, the Blackpool Trams were the stars of the show and we will be back to see how the future expansion and development plans work out.

Not many museums offer you a chance to ride on the exhibits. At this one, you can take a short ride on a vintage tram, trolleybus, or open topped bus, and relive transport history. It also boasts static displays of vintage cars and machinery, as well as plenty of outdoor seating to relax on. Along with an excellent little cafe, which even serves fresh chips. And a tiny narrow-gauge railway to keep the rail enthusiasts happy. If you're looking for a family day out that can keep children entertained while also appealing to older generations, you could do no better IMO.

Amazing place with lots too see and ride on. Run entirely by volunteers who are very friendly and helpful. Mostly wheelchair accessible. Apart from the old trolleys & trams. Currently they are expanding their facilities after an acquisition of more land. They plan on expanding their tram & trolley route. The current tram ride is a short 1/2mile trip each way, with the trolley being 3-4 trips around the main grounds. On our visit the 2ft narrow gauge train was broken and awaiting maintenance however they put on one of their diesel busses for a 30-40min trip around Lowestoft. All around very good and would come again.

Idiots, how did we not come here sooner. After coming to the east coast for nearly 20 years we finally came here. On bus routes from Southwold and Lowestoft with a stop right outside. Great collection of trams and trolley buses along with static displays. Enthusiastic and knowledgeable volunteers it's everything good about a proper museum. They work on the collection and have plans to extend too. We arrived at 12pm and left at 4pm so allow a good 2-3 hours to see everything and of course ride the trams as many times as you like.

Fascinating museum. Very nostalgic and great to be able to get hands on with stuff and ride on the trams, buses and a little train. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. A special shout out to Alan working in the team shed. Highly recommended to anyone visiting the area.

Trams, Trolleybuses, trains, and much more... what's not to love!? Staff are all wonderful and friendly, you can take your time to enjoy the experience as it is not too busy and the children will have fun too. You can see almost everything in a couple of hours. If you do gift aid, they offer, in return, free visits for a whole year from the date you gave gift aid. That is very generous, something you just don't see these days. I am excited to see the expansion of this museum in the future. They have plans for their expansion available, and it looks great. As always, I wish I had taken more photos, this is only a very small snapshot of the amount of buses they have here.

A good place to see vintage trams and trolley buses. We had a ride on all 3 that was out on the day we visited as well as a trolley bus. There's also a small diesel train for the visitors which is a hit for the children. There's a good cafe and some vintage shops and garages. The only downside I'd say is that the track is not long enough. We did an interview with one of the staff and there's plans to extend the track in time. We'll go back for another visit then.

Excellent afternoon spent at the museum. Volunteers all very friendly and enthusiastic. Good range of displays and opportunities to ride on several different forms of transport. Rides are generally short but great to keep kids entertained. Small cafe serving usual hot drinks, sandwiches , chips and cake.

Excellent - Brilliant, we loved it. To be transported (literally!) back to a time us oldies can still remember was amazing! The prices - both the entrance fee & what you pay for food/drink is such good value & you can have unlimited rides on the vehicles operating that day (included in admission price) Well done to the team of volunteers who make all this possible - without their dedication an important part of our history would be gone forever

Great little place to visit and see the old trams and busses. Rides very short but fun. Have to keep a good watch on your children as lots of vehicle movements. Ok for a couple of hours.

Visited to see the museum by night with the CHRISTMAS LIGHTS ON THE BUSES/TRAMS & AROUND THE VENUE. What a lovely, different experience from the normal. Thoroughly enjoyable for all ages. Will most definately be returning.. May be Halloween & Easter 🚃🐣🚎🎃🚋🦇🚞

Disappointed, far too many of the vehicles were in storage and inaccessible. Even if vehicles are not running, or not in working order, paying visitors should still have access to view them.

Visited on a cool October morning and what a gem this place is. This place is immaculate. The trams, trolly bus and trains are in great order and fun to ride. The cafe prices are spot on, as is what they are selling. Finally, a huge shout to all the staff who are all volunteers. Their enthusiasm is infectious and only adds to the experience.

Great visit with accessible exhibits for the most part. Run by enthusiastic volunteers, this museum is well worth a visit. Not expensive to get in with free car park although All the disabled spaces were filled at 12:02; 2 minutes after opening. Some bumpy bits and kerbs to navigate but on the whole fairly easy to get round with a walker. Cafe a bit narrow requiring careful navigation between the tables. Tram difficult to get on but conductor helped. Train easy to access as guard van set up for wheelchairs. Accessible toilet fairly close to entrance; doubles as baby change area. Cafe food and drink at very reasonable prices. It's a good 3 hour visit.

Not much there but worth a visit just to say I've been. Free parking, you can walk along the seafront there.

There is not much here, We were staying close by so took a walk to see it, but I wouldn't recommend going out of your way to visit.

I recently attended a show at the Marina Theatre and had a fantastic experience. The theatre itself is beautifully designed and has a real sense of history and charm. The seats were comfortable, and the acoustics were excellent, ensuring that I had a clear view and could hear everything perfectly. The show itself was fantastic, with talented performers and a well-designed set. The theatre has a great selection of shows throughout the year, from music concerts to plays, making it a great choice for a night out with friends or family. One of the highlights of the experience was the staff, who were incredibly helpful and friendly. They made sure that everything ran smoothly and went out of their way to make sure that I had a great experience. Overall, I would highly recommend a visit to the Marina Theatre. It's a beautiful venue with a great selection of shows, and the staff are fantastic. I had a wonderful time and would definitely visit again in the future.

Searched my bag on the way in? How rude. Shame the man who was drunk and not staying in his seat wasn't searched. Taking his shirt off and waving his pint over our heads so we had to move. He spoilt our night. The last 30 minutes were awful. One man being targeted for recording even though loads of other people were doing it. The group were happy posing for photos and videos playing in to the cameras. The show was amazing . The staff are lovely. Maybe no alcohol when people are already drunk would be a good move?

On arrival warm greetings, toilets clean and hand towel available, staff wore masks, shown to seating areas. Show was great (Fireman Sam). Easy access in and out of building. Car parking on site but we chose to park further away to avoid paying. We'll worth visiting

Huge theatre, not many toilets for the amount of people, 2 staff serving at half time which isnt enough, no signs to direct you - people were wondering around asking where do we go? An information email beforehand advising where things are would be helpful e.g, collect tickets from ticket office located here, the bar is located here and cafe located here. Free parking after 6pm in Battery road car park which is 2 min walk. Good local venue with a variety of shows.

Came on 29/4/22 for Giovanni's show which was excellent and good atmosphere. We sat in the circle but the seats were very close to the ones in front so not much leg room. Also it was very warm and difficult to see the stage through other people's heads. Otherwise it was an enjoyable and well organised evening.

Friendly local venue which has various productions throughout the year, which suit most tastes. Staff are welcoming and helpful, bar and cafe prices as expected to help maintain the running costs of the venue. Some seats have restricted views and legroom, worth noting when booking a show, if in doubt speak to the lovely box office team who will help.

Beautiful theatre, wide variety of shows. Lowestoft is lucky to have this little gem. Cafe serves lovely food. The General Manager is very approachable 🙂

A wonderful night at The Magic of Motown, seats could be a liitle more comfortable, coffee is very weak but love to visit here

Almost perfect, just hard to find where the seating area is as there's no signs/directions and it isn't that obvious but apart from that it was great and had such s laugh watching Jimmy Carr

Nice little theatre, cosy feel but not too cramped. Good bar and fast service during intervals. Only one male toilet as far as I can tell from the upper section. Massive que during intervals.

Brilliant little place to visit, so much to look at and beautifully displayed. Lots for children to get involved with that will hold there interest. The staff made us feel very welcome and were kind, friendly and very knowledgeable- Will definitely visit again x

It is a small museum, packed with lots of information about Lowesifts varied maritime history, including lifeboats, fishing, and strategic wartime operations due to it being the most easterly point in the UK.

For a couple of quid each, this museum is amazing! The photos and art are brilliant, the hand built model wooden ships are superb, the volunteers are lovely. This really is a gem of Lowestoft. Everything is clean, easily understood and well set out. We had a lovely couple of hours here.

Love this place .... The cosiest cinema rooms ever .... 28 seats, 35 seats, there's 2 more screens with much larger capacity but I usually end up in the smaller rooms, and quite often numbers of people present not even in double figures (outside school holidays) ... Cheap as you like compared to London prices around £15-20+. I can get two or three tickets here for that sort of money. Indeed, yesterday, three viewings of thre movies for less than £19 !!!! Get your tickets and snap up the munchies and drinks because I dare say it's what keeps niche little places like this going for the community ...

A wet day on the Suffolk coast during our camping trip, so we headed to this little gem of a cinema! Clean, well-cared for, spacious, reasonably priced. Recommended!

Myself and a few pals decided to visit East Coast Cinema to see Saw X, as we didn't fancy the trip to Norwich to go and see it at Vue. We booked online the same day, and the prices are reasonable, if not, middle of the road. £28 for 4 of us isn't too bad. Great local atmosphere, which is indicative of an old school style cinema. Decent sized screen, and just the right amount of seats to maintain that intimate feel. However, when it comes to the carpets, I think they took "old school" a little too literally. The damp, musky smell was unforgiving, to say the least. Some might say overpowering. It's a shame because everything else about this quaint little establishment is fantastic. Although you would have thought during refurbishment, someone would have thought to replace the carpets and try to eliminate that smell. Supporting local cinema is important, so overall, I'll definitely be returning in the near future. Perhaps with a peg for my nose!

Every time we've visited the staff have always been helpful and nothing was too much hassle. Cinema is always clean and the films vary allowing regular visits. Even when in kids club they bring back older films it's great to see. We need to keep supporting our small independent cinemas

I went to see The Rise of Gru today, great film but there were kids deliberately talking throughout the whole thing but none of them got kicked out. Apart from that, Great Cinema.

Not been for awhile, hasn't really changed much either! Still has that musky smell and uncomfortable seats , no parking but close to a public carpark or free if you can find space on the road All the latest films showing, booked online. Screen 1 was clean and had a good size screen and good sound system. Excellent value the 10am showing is just 4 pounds absolutely a bargain but other tickets still an excellent value. Was only 6 other people in the cinema when we went!

A wonderful little cinema. The staff are super friendly and very helpful. They have a really good children's popcorn offer which was brilliant. Thank you for making my sons first cinema experience perfect. Another huge thank you to the kind young lady who went the extra mile for us when Max wanted to leave early. Looking forward to coming back in the future.

It's a small cinema so if your expecting massive screens with lots of seating then your better off visiting a different location. I myself love this place, its well kept and staff are very friendly. There is ample parking 1 street away too.

Community is at the heart of everything that takes place within the Seagull Theatres walls. Everyone from staff to volunteers are super friendly and beyond helpful. The incredible range of content and offerings provided each week is so impactful in the lives of those attending. Bravo to all that help keep this theatre alive and a true beacon of light and hope for the local community 🙌🫶⚡️💛

Went to see the Stillhouse Junkies, an American Bluegrass/Country band. The venue was Ideal, and we'll attended, plenty of parking close by as well. Staff, who are all volunteers, couldn't of been more helpful or accomodating. I think it would be fair to say "A good night was had by all".

Our first visit to the Seagull. Thoroughly enjoyable experience. Staffed by volunteers who were all very friendly and helpful. There's a bar which is very reasonably priced and it sells chocs/nuts etc. Small car park but parking available on the roads nearby. Enjoyed the show Song Sung Blue, Neil Diamond Tribute. Tickets very reasonably priced.

Lovely venue with a great sound! We saw Songbird a Fleetwood Mac Tribute band and belive me you won't be disappointed if you ever get to see them.... Superb!

Such a great little theatre, been to many shows with my grandson and also with friends, never been disappointed. Parking is hit and miss, as I'm disabled it can be as only 2 disability parking, but we get over it...

The Seagull Theatre is a lovely little theatre. The staff are volunteers and they do a wonderful job. The ticket prices are good value for money. There is a bar inside. It is wheelchair friendly. The theatre received a grant and they have made a few improvements. There are new seats for 150 people, including more availability for the disabled. There is a larger waiting area and lovely new toilets. The box office is now in the entrance on the right hand side and is open from 9.00 - 16.00. There is a lift for any upstairs activities. There has also been some improvements to the car park.

This is an amazing theatre and offer such a wide diversity of activities and performances. My husband and I attended weekly and far to many events to list. They have a small bar and offer a small range of snacks at reasonable prices. The staff and volunteers are warm and welcoming. We highly recommend this venue

A lot of wildlife here, particularly birds, although you need to be patient. The landscape is typical wetland with those terrific East Coast skies. Cafe food is excellent value and nicely presented.

Excellent walks accessible into the marshes from the visitor centre. Good toilets and cafe available there. Did a long walk in December, a few deer and rarer bird life seen in the remoter sections.

We had an amazing experience here today. Great hospitality shown by Brian and Bert who really went the extra mile to ensure we didn’t miss anything. Well worth a visit. Thanks so much

So many places deserve a 5; this gets a 4. Run by volunteers who know their stuff. It’s got an amazing eclectic collection. The best part we’re the crazy speedboats!

Lovely local historic information and relics. Very well maintained and good artefacts. It’s very generous of the local earlier people who have donated memorabilia to allow others to benefit from ages past to see life as it used to be. I never realised that this area had a well known manufacturing past alas as elsewhere here in the UK we have lost most of these industries!

Lovely little museum, worth supporting by donating. Lots of artefacts to see. Good information about local area and the artefacts. Some hands on stuff for children (and adults). Lovely little space upstairs with some books to look at.

This museum is quite interesting and has plenty of exhibits, but it seems quite disjointed in places, and although each display is labelled, the wider context isn't explained we just know it's things related to lowestoft. The staff were super friendly.

If you like history visit here and puzzle for kids as well and set in a great location

This is a small but very interesting and well presented museum. The volunteer staff were very welcoming and helpful. Well worth a visit. I certainly will be visiting again. It has free entry but there is a box for donations to help keep the museum open.

Excellent attraction and a real assist to the local community. Staff were extremely friendly and the collection of crockery is the best I have seen all year. I took the kids and they loved the dice game. I found the selection of Victorian Irons very extensive and I never realised there were quite so many to be considered.

Omg, this beach is my favourite. It has so many levels. It had a fair few old WWII looks as well.

Lovely scenic coastal area that is teething with wonderful wildlife. Was fortunate enough to catch a glimpse of a grey seal popping up near the shore line. The beach is sandy and clean. Some interesting second world war relics to see. Parking is free. Certainly worth a visit to get away from the hustle and bustle and to relax.

Great place to go for a walk even better with a dog 🐕 lots of fun and plenty of exercise,you have the beach, dunes and then the slopes up the cliffs to climb, I love it not as much as my dog though.

Iv'e been coming here for many years. It's an ideal spot especially for Dog walkers, or just a Lunchtime pic nic. Lovely beach too. Living about thirty miles away, I like to spend at least half a day here. It's lovely and quiet compared with the rest of Lowestoft. There's no Toilets, there used to be a large Toilet block at the top of the hill but was closed down, but there's woods here so just pretend you're a Bear. Pack some food and bring your four legged friend. Free parking, as it should be everywhere. A paddle reccomended. 🐕 🌳🐻🌳🌳 🏖 🍦
