Highly recommended for a visit. We came this weekend and did both the indoor wine tasting/tour and the train tour around the estate. Both were brilliant, the staff were open, friendly and very knowledgeable, my only criticism was the actual wine tasting was a bit rushed. We also stayed overnight in the hotel, our room was lovely, the hotel and grounds were very well presented dinner and wine was amazing, breakfast was lovely and all the staff were so helpful and friendly. The estate is beautiful, with amazing views, ideal for a walk.

we went on the train tour of the vineyard. hosts were lovely and knowledgeable of all the wines and vineyards and absolutely loved the ride through the forests up to the view point. there was an opportunity to take photos at the top of the hill before coming back down. wines are lovely and well priced. great area to walk around and spend the afternoon.

What an amazing experience of this vineyard. Me and my partner booked it so we can have an experience at the end of our North Way walk. Nice location just opposite of Boxhil. Not far from Dorking train station. Big parking, hotel, restaurant facilities available. Lovely train ride to show us around. Love the view of vineyard from the top. Love to keep walking around to enjoy. Wanna give it 5 stars but seriously didn't enjoy the wine.

We booked the package which includes a wine tasting which featured wine produced on the estate, a 2 course meal, overnight stay and breakfast. Everything was of really high quality and the vineyard’s are beautiful. Would definitely recommend.

An excellent location for a great walk amongst the beautiful scenery of the Surrey Hills. You can easily clock up the walking miles in amongst the vineyard vines, while also navigate through ancient woodlands and open path ways on the hillsides to take in the stunning views of the encompassing undulating hills. If you're keen enough, you can incorporate an additional hiking circuit around Polesden Lacy into your walk around Denbies vineyards and easily do a 11 to 12 mile hike. Great day to be had in the great open countryside.

Great place to visit to go for a walk up to the North Downs Way and look over the winery and to Box Hill. The meals are hot meals are nice, although a little expensive. The have an array of sandwiches, cakes and hot and cold beverages. I can recommend the Surrey Gold white wine, it's very nice.

Pit stop for a quick bite at the Debbie's Wine Estate. A lovely countryside setting amongst rows of grape vines ! The estate has various eating options. Formal dining, casual dining and a take away. The casual dining is set in a beautiful louvre pyramid style conservatory. Sandwiches, salad bar, fish and chips roast chicken !

We met for lunch and arrived at 2 but by 2.15 the ground floor restaurant had stopped serving hot food so we missed it due to mooching round the shop which we could have done afterwards had we known. Ate upstairs where we were initially told they were booked up. We were given a table however (and noticed a couple of other small tables remained free). £30 a head for 2 courses is a fair price now but not when the starter looked like the garnish at the side of a plate where the main ingredient is missing. Lovely view but not good value for money.

I went for the indoor wine tour and obviously a walk. I was truly impressed by Jeremy, the amazing tour guide. He answered all my annoying questions, was funny, poured generously into the glasses, was very attentive and curious about everyone taking part. The video is also interesting and well made. I can only recommend a visit. What a blast! P.S. I have missed the brewery at the back so I guess I will need to pop by again 😂

Really enjoyed a Bank Holiday afternoon here. We did the outdoor vineyard train tour with a glass of sparkling wine. Also did the indoor wine tasting tour which includes a film and tasting of wines. Good value overall! And accessible by train which is a bonus

We came for the indoor wine tasting and it was nicely done, with 4 wines tasted, a 20 minute video about the vineyard’s history, details about how wine is made, and a peek at the storage area - all taking just over an hour. We prebooked the night before, then on the day checked in at reception. It was a very easy process. They also have restaurants, vineyard tours, a large gift shop and more. The cafe had lovely cakes though the tea servings were a bit small for being a ‘large’. The gift shop had an interesting selection to peruse, including 20% off their bottled wines. Car park is large, and toilets are adequate.

We booked an overnight stay to include wine tasting, evening meal and breakfast From the moment of booking, the process was seamless and the staff friendly and attentive. The Wine tour was fun and informative with Jeremy. Our meals were delicious and the restaurant team super helpful and accommodating. Thank you Denbies team for a great time.. would thoroughly recommend.

An amazing stay at the Denbies vineyard in November with our dog. The hotel was very dog friendly, the food was amazing, and the dog was allowed in the wine library for all our meals. The staff were super accommodating and we loved the wine and afternoon tea. Will be back soon and highly recommend this for a mini getaway! Great for some nice walks as well!

Nice place to visit. Lovely long walk in and around the estate. Fabulous views of the Surrey Hills. Finished the walk looking around the farm shop and the gift shop. Just a little disappointed that everything is so expensive!

An outstanding afternoon. The wine estate is wonderful and it was incredible to discover the world of British wine, which was excellent. We had Sandra as our guide whom was really fun and interesting, we tried several wines, walked along the vines and explore the inside of the building which was beautiful and impressive.

Had the tour round the vineyards. Beautiful scenery. Lovely cafe and well shocked shop. Beautiful place to spend and afternoon. Couple of things could be improved: Would be better to do the commentary over a mic, as there were elderly people on the tour who couldn't hear. Would also have loved to see the main house, even if only from a distance.

Love, love, love this place. Amazing for strolls, hikes and picnics. It's absolutely beautiful. There are parking places at various locations with decent prices. There is a small restaurant, water fountain and toilets near the centre of the park.

Beautiful place for a good break, plenty of walking and hiking. Lots of families visit this place. Great to take your dogs to this place for bit of fun and running around. Stepping stones is awesome too.

Beautiful spot for a walk. We did the box hill circular walk. It’s very well sign posted so easy to follow for first timers. It’s fairly challenging with a few very steep sections but you get to enjoy some amazing scenery.

Absolutely stunning views and a great way to spend an afternoon. I would definitely recommend wearing walking boots/shoes and be prepared for a steep climb. I found the journey back down the hill a little tricky, but I just about made it.

It is amazing, breathtaking, beautiful, absolutely natural hill top to visit. Best for families, bicycling, hiking. Wheel chair accessibility, toilets but wet floors due to rain. Paid car park. Best to explore if you come with proper gear and long boots / shoes during wet weather. Best of the best anyways

A great place to hike if you want give yourself a bit challenge. It has variety of trails which can be chosen according to your stamina from tough to moderate, steep uphill to sharp downhill. I did the longest one, 4-6 hours long box hill hike last week and when reached the view point at the end, felt kind of rewarded with the extraordinary panoramic view and sunset. There are enough sign posts along the way but if these signposts have the number as shown on the map it would provide a rough idea how much been walked and how much left to walk to the amateur hikers like me. Would recommend this to anyone who loves nature and hiking.

Amazing Dog friendly walks onto Top of the hill. Fantastic views with walks suited for all age groups. Best to choose on a sunny forecast

Lovely place to walk with kids and dogs. The trek down is worth it - great experience for kids on stepping stones. Breath taking views - with kite flying etc. lots of parking available at reasonable prices. Open spaces to leave the dogs to run around. One cafe and toilets available. The trek up is quite steep - must go with trekking sticks! :)

We did the box hill hike path (red one) with a toddler on our backpack. The path is 8 miles long and it took us 6 hours to complete (with stops on the way). We were a bit ambitious with the trail without knowing it included a lot of uphills and downhills. With a toddler on the shoulder, it was definitely a challenging adventure. If you don’t have proper hiking gear to carry the child, we don’t recommend it at all for parents. For the path itself, it was quite well marked along the way. The road has rough part so hiking shoes is recommended. Bring food and water as there aren’t many choices along the way. Parking is easy and cheap, £6 for the day. Pay and display.

Such a glorious place! Perfect for hiking, cycling, picnicking - any outdoor activity you fancy. There are stunning views and epic inclines to work on your fitness. There is a café at the top with lots of picnic tables for those interested in a more leisurely break.

What a wonderful place to spend an afternoon just outside London. Walking around in box hill feels more like middle of the countryside than a short drive from the city. It’s a beautiful place to walk the dogs and a guaranteed amazing day. This place will definitely go onto the roster for weekend escapes out of London.

The experience was really good! First time visiting Surrey. The weather was slightly cold but you will definitely warm up quickly when climbing the hills. Bring water, trekking shoes and a light weight backpack! We walked for over an hour and they have a cafeteria at the top of the hills

Lovely hill to walk on. There’s a national trust café at the top and toilet facilities. The views are beautiful and there are different paths you can take up, down, and along the hill. It does get slippery and muddy when wet. Easy to get to from London - catch a train from London Waterloo to Box Hill and Westhumble Station. It’s then a very short (7 minute) walk to the start of the walk up the top of the hill.

Nice walk up the hill, hardly strenuous, would be nice if there were more retail offerings at the top. Coffee and lunch stop were a bit disappointing in terms of quality and quantity. Nice toilets though!

Short hike from London. About 57 minutes away. Hike in the autumn, the weather was good, no rain and a bit of mud. Not too bad. Me and my friend went to Juniper trail, I wish we stopped at the tower. Very lovely and golden autumn scenery. The trail wasn't too bad. The ascent was not too steep either. We went from London Victoria and stopped at Box and Westcombe? Then ascent trough a steep ladder and go to the national trust box hill. Plenty of people around. We asked someone about juniper trail and went to it. It was a circular path, if I known I would make a different path that maybe started at Dorking or Box Hill station and end in a different station. But overall was a good hike, not too tiring.

I had a wonderful time visiting Box Hill on the Summer Bank Holiday. It was a beautiful day, and the train journey from London was only an hour or so. Once I arrived at Box Hill, I took a short hike to the top of the hill. The views from the top were amazing! I could see for miles in every direction. There were rolling hills, lush forests, and even London in the distance. After my hike, I was feeling a bit tired, so I decided to head back to the train station with a stop by the Stepping Stonea pub but be mindful because I went just after 6pm and they stopped serving food. I was glad I had brought some water and comfortable shoes, as the hike was a bit more challenging than I expected. But it was all worth it for the amazing views! If you're planning a visit to Box Hill, I highly recommend it. Just be sure to bring some water and comfortable shoes, and allow plenty of time for the hike. You won't be disappointed!

Lovely place for trail walking. We completed - Friday Street to Leith Hill Circular trail, which took around 4 hours and honestly it was really enjoyable. Some rocky tracks, some steep uphills and downhills make the trail interesting and fun. Overall really pleasant walk with beautiful view points.

I recommend this place as it is a lovely, uphill walk and the scenery is amazing. It is a bit muddy in places. The view from the top is wonderful. There are also some picnic benches on the way to the top. There is a lovely place at the top where one can purchase hot drinks, cookies and soup. I was told that the tomato soup was "spicy," but that can be difficult to quantify. I tried it and it was really nice. It can get fairly crowded on a weekend. There were several people who chose to attend Leith Hill, such as couples, people with children, people with dogs and large groups of people. It was nice to see people just nodding at one another as we crossed paths. This place is also ideal if one likes to photograph tree roots and interesting branches. It is also great to pause and just listen to the sounds of nature.

Went on New Year's day. Car park was free but completely full by 11am. Extremely muddy walk from car park to Leith Tower. It was closed when we got there but stunning views of Surrey Hills.

Lovely view from the top with benches t rest whilst taking it all in! Can get really busy at peak times. There's a nice little food takeaway outlet selling hot and cold snacks.

Unbeatable views of London and the South Downs. A real high point of the Surrey Hills! The top of the tower is the highest point in south east England, and is open Friday - Sunday between April 1st and October 2nd. From the foot of the tower the views are still tremendous, with binoculars or a camera with good zoom you can clearly see many London landmarks. Gatwick airport is also visible to the south. Easy walk to the top from Starveall parking area, taking around 20 minutes. Great mountain biking trails leading down the other side of the hill. At the foot of the tower is a little café serving hot and cold drinks and cakes, with plenty of outdoor seating on the benches overlooking the South Downs. Dog friendly and free to access, though there's a charge to climb the tower (free for National Trust members).

Beautiful place to visit. Went here in September and weather was perfect. Easy to follow trails and refreshments available at the leith hill tower.

Great walking spot with lots of trails. Leith Hill Tower has great views over Surrey and London - you can see Canary Wharf and the Wembley arch on a sunny day. There's also lots of free car parks in the area. Would highly recommend!

The highest point in the Surrey Hills and the second highest point in the southeast of England at 294 metres. Beautiful views South as far as the South Downs. Lots countryside and woodland to explore. Just watch out for the cyclists. They do fly around the trails, and you don't hear them coming. Bells or horns would be useful cyclists ✌️

Brilliant hike up to the tower on the hill. Only annoying thing is the off road motor cycles that kept coming past us although I am not sure if that is a regular occurrence or just our luck on the day. Was nice to see lots of horses and dogs on the trail.

This is a lovely spot to walk to on a sunny day. Lots of free parking around the area with easy walking routes up to the tower. A nice cafe in the base of the tower, which creates a bit of a buzz around it. The cafe can often have a rather large queue on a nice day, although I'm not blaming them at all, it's a small cafe with a dedicated team working as quickly as they can!

Gorgeous view, helped by an utterly fabulous day! I didn't go inside, I sat out and admired the landscape. Breathtaking 💚

I was in the area to take part in the 16th Leith Hill half marathon with some veteran mates of mine, and I'm letting you know that this course was nails!!!! It was an extremely challenging route, especially with the wet weather, but there were some beautiful views, great memories made, and the event itself was very well ran.

We used a trail from the app All Trails which led us for a walk around 2 miles before reaching the tower. The views from the top were very nice. On a clear day I'm sure you can see much further. I'd recommend it for a nice walk!

Just bit more than 1 hour drive from London you can have a walk in a forest and enjoy the views from the 2nd highest hill of England (294m above the sea level). Well behaved dogs are allowed as long as they are on the leash and under supervision of the owner. Perfect place to escape the city, have a walk and picnic with family.

Beauty part of Surrey hills I highly reckon to anyone wanting to get out and about, I just done a 8 hour walk there on a weekend up and down various points, perfect day for hiking! Lovely pubs to pop in around the area as well.

I walked from the National trust rhododendron wood car park, which took about 15 minutes. The track through the woods is steep in places near the start with lots of roots. Thankfully it was dry during my visit. The tower was closed sadly so I missed out on the views from the top. There are plenty of benches and picnic tables at the top and in the immediate surroundings. There is also a little cafe to get cakes, ice creams teas etc. There are several signposted walks to and from the tower. I took about 40 minutes to complete the circular green path. There are so many other paths that you could easily spend the whole day exploring every last one. Lots of mountain bike trails for next time I visit. Great views of the surrounding area including the airport and London.

Visited many times throughout the year regardless what the weather is like. Great for family picnic, romantic date, dog walker or off road bikers. Little cafe at the base of the tower with an incredible view, can recommend the hot chocolate in the winter mornings. Also great if you like to view the stars or even spot incoming planes in the distance. Really has something for everyone

Great view, great vibe. It’s a nice and quite place to stop for a rest and a beautiful panorama. There are picknick tables around the tower and if you didn’t bring something yourself you can get it at the coffee house. The tower was closed for repairs but that’s just a reason to come back here!

Stunning views are afforded here and once you've made the ascent to the top of the hill, you're rewarded with spectacular views as far as London! The Tower has a Café for refreshments and seating areas to take in the views. All in all, a hike you shan't forget in a hurry.

Weekends can be incredibly busy, especially good weather days. The busy days take away the ability to sit quietly and admire the view. The old tower appears to have taken second place to a serving hatch style café/snack shop. They serve nice coffee, but if saving money is important to you I would recommend bringing your own food and drink; a sausage roll costs £ 4. However, there are so many lovely walks to enjoy in the area, it's well worth the visit.

Wow, what a spectacular landscape. It's the highest point in the southeast. On a clear day you can see over to the sea or across London! There are several carparks around the area with a variety of way marked walking routes. There are some steep slopes so can make for some good walking. The only toilets that I know off are at the house, which isn't open this year. It's definitely worth doing a trip up the tower.

We love going to Gertie's. Cozy and friendly with good service and selection. Some small toys to keep little ones amused and gluten free options available. Always a nice selection of things to look at and buy too.

Lovely sandwiches and delicious cakes with free top ups of tea but is a bit squashed. Lovely small shop and very friendly. We did book in advance but asked to be moved from table as we were in the gangway which was done with no trouble at all.

I love Gorgeous Gerties! This is a box of memories with a passionate spark! This is "Vintage" without any tackiness. The music is just right. The food is just right. The goods are good! The tea room has a magic of it's own, and I've found it to be scrupulously clean, tidy and inviting. More than anything else though, the staff are wonderful.

If only their food tasted as good as the place looks! Lovely decor, but the afternoon tea included Tesco-quality sandwiches (honestly some of the worst I had in my life), very average cakes, and the "clotted cream" was pre-packaged and as hard as a rock. Never again.

Given up on trying! Gorgeous Gerties is one of those shops that I really wanted to get to know and to like. When it first opened I tried going in a few times, only not to get served. I assumed this was just because they were overrun at the time, and so let it go. I've given it several more times over the years, ignored at the counter each time or waiting for ages for someone to suddenly appear, but this is now ridiculous. I had family over from Belgium and wanted to show them the shop - besides, the local fares in the shop would have made excellent souvenirs. However, as I've experienced in the past, we made a selection from the shop and waited down at the counter. A few people who looked like employees passed us, sorting those who were having tea or something to eat...but after about 5 minutes (although it felt much longer) I made my apologies for the family and got us out of there. I've heard some terrific things about Gerties - I just wish I could get some service! (Please note that this review is simply of the shop section - I have not tried going in for tea or food).

Cake was tasty . I would put 4and a half but not sure how to do the half bit! Just felt that the place felt cold (not enough heating)The other 2 though liked their omelette with salmon and toastie too . Pretty good if toasties a bit too pricey.

I can't believe after all these years, that this cafe is closing. This is hands down the best place to get a filling and delicious sandwich followed by a tasty and delightful cake in Dorking. It's really disheartening and a shame to see one of the best places go, leaving mostly average options. Typical.

Very interesting from emigration to America to the WW2 were my favourite bits, specific to Dorking.

A lovely, quaint museum! Very knowledgeable volunteer staff - lots of interesting, informative displays. There's a small public car park in West Street just before the museum - go slowly as it's easy to miss! Currently the museum is only open Thursday to Saturday but is well worth the couple of quid entrance fee.

Brilliant. Visited with a friend of mine in September. This is museum of is very comprehensive and is. I in my opinion is one of the best I have visited as many local museums do not cover certain subjects in detail. Well done Forking Museum.

Lovely little museum! Great place to learn about the history of Dorking. The tours to the Dorking Caves are fantastic.

Unusual trail with an interesting history, just outside Dorking. A network of paths lead up hillsides densely covered with rhododendrons. At the top of the hill there are good views and a circular bench, surrounded in October by a sea of fallen acorns - need to be careful walking over them! A flight of steps leads down to the gardens, home to some ornamental plants, the "Embattled Tower" and Coady the lion. The trail is well signed, with various information boards explaining its history. Once the site of an impressive manor house (demolished in the late 1960s), the gardens were atmospheric in the late afternoon shade, with a strong sense of past glory. Pictures on the boards showed the house in its heyday, would have been quite a sight to see. There are a couple of parking spaces at the entrance gate, if these are full it's about 20 minutes walk from the nearest parking in town. The trail can extend into longer walks around Dorking if you have more time to spend.

Fabulous tour arranged through Dorking museum, only a fiver, knowledgeable and friendly guides Jen and Pete made the history come alive. Highly recommended.

It's a lovely place for a walk, it has been very well renovated and isn't far from the town for parking!! 15 mins walk from station 2! It's hilly in places so take good footwear we only visited the restored gardens but will be back to explore more of it now we've found it!! Congratulations to all who are restoring it!!!

A wonderful walk on the Deepdene trail, plenty of information boards doted along the many paths explaining the history of the Deepdene estate, with some dense wooded areas, steep step here and there a great viewpoint, the mausoleum and of course Coady the stone lion. Park at the Reigate Road car park (behind the Dorking sports centre) it's a 15 minute sign posted walk from the car park. (Parking is pay & display, free on Sundays)

This whole trail looks like it's straight out of a fairytale. There's long enough hikes/walks for some good exercise but also plenty of places to rest and admire the views. I know I'll definitely be going back to explore more of it!

We came to this trail after a nice lunch at queens head in dorking. This is a lovely hidden gem! So quiet and very pretty plants and landscape. Nice and easy hill to climb up. The garden is peaceful and a nice spot to take a rest / picnic. Will come back again if coming back to dorking.

When you go to buy beer from the shop they short change you been a couple of times they don't fill to the 4 pint mark so you only ever get just over 3 pints make sure they fill to the top and not give you a quarter of it filled with bubbles

One of best wine 🍷 vineyards and brewery I visited in London. Wine is really good and restaurant food is delicious.

Perfect 'milk' direct from the 'farm' - 5 pints of milk please, 1 to drink now. I accidently dropped my first 4-pints and returned (with my burst container) to buy more, they wouldn't have it and insisted on swapping me out a fresh 4-pints on the house. Lovely! You wouldn't get that London, but yes you do... Sheredrop selling in Putney and Wandsworth, indeed my old local in Wandsworth Town, The Royal Standard 😀

The brewery does a fantastic selection toon of beers beyond the well known Shere Drop and Ranmore. You can pop in for a takeaway or even sit outside with a great pint.

Always friendly service buy a pint or half to drink on site or draft beer available to rake away... Did the brewery tour today - very good. Tried a new brew (to me) 'Collusion' - excellent. There's a ruby on the way next month 😋

Probably the cheapest beer you can find in UK(in a good sense). Definitely a small little gem next to the winery(it may be hard to find but it's just on the opposite side of the building) - variety is not big but more than enough for such a picky beer drinker like me.

This is a really nice place to relax and catch some nice fish. The only bad thing that has happened recently it’s that the old lake has been sold off and now is a private lake and there is no access for the public for fishing!

This was the first time I've fished Bury hill in well over 15 years, as I moved from the area..... Lovely location and the fishing was spot on for me too.... Nice to meet up with Dave in the tackle shop, who couldn't be more helpful with a few angling tips.... Caught over 50 odd bream my target species and even a Zander... I'll diffaintly return again soon

Such a shame. The location is wonderful, quiet, pretty and full of fantastic wildlife. The facilities are also good, certainly no worse than anywhere else. The fishing is fantastic - Bonds lake is small, but full of carp that are super easy to catch. Milton is the real jewel with some really big crucians and roach (I've had roach to over 2.5lbs), some nice Rudd and reasonable tench too - all in good condition and generally easy to catch throughout the year and it's a gorgeous lake. So why only a 3 star review? Partly as the main lake is no longer available and it was one of the only places I know where you could fish from a boat, but the owners house sits alongside this lake, so it's understandable. The main reason though is because this is no longer a day ticket water and the membership scheme is utterly ridiculous. You have two options really, both are poor; carp fishing on Temple lake, which includes night fishing, or day fishing only on Milton and Bonds lakes. Both options require a membership fee, which is normal, but let's take Milton/Bonds as the example...you pay the £40 membership, then pay £19 PER DAY! for 2 rods. Think about that, £19 per day is a lot for a single day fishing session normally, but you also have to pay the membership fee as well. No matter how you work it, this is a very expensive model for anglers and I think exists to partially offset the lost revenue from the Main lake. I only wish the owners had consulted someone else before introducing this though as there are better financial models that would generate income for the owners, without being excessively priced for the angler. Limited numbers of night memberships for Bonds/Milton for example with/or a higher membership fee without the subsequent high daily rate, allow boat fishing on Milton as a draw for additional memberships, a couple of 20lb + fish into Bonds would create a real challenge and would mix things up without it becoming a 'big carp' water etc. Such a shame as I really enjoyed fishing at Bury Hill.

yesterday I went fishing with my son after my work to Bury Hill fisheries, what was our surprise that the owner of the facility did not want to let us into the fishery, I would like to mention that on Sunday I was also there with my family and there was no problem ... the owner of the fishery for the reason said we don't have membership, plus he was unpleasant, and it didn't help that I was with my 10 year old son who really wanted to help me catch a big fish! I'm sure it was related to my Eastern European accent?? I am convinced that such a person should not conduct such a private activity modeled on intolerance and discrimination. after this whole situation I decided to go with my son to another place where the owner of the fishery would be very nice to us, it was cheaper and we enjoyed fishing. I do not recommend this place to anyone and anyone who is a foreigner should think twice about fishing there.

Church was completely empty of people and staff, door open, very peaceful inside

Attended a wedding, church was very nice with a lovely lady reverend.

This gothic style church is listed only Grade II* but it does look like a Grade I* cathedral material. It's current structure is from 19th century renovations but originally it goes way back in time beyond middle ages. The spire is one of the tallest in the country and acts as a proper landmark when viewed from Surrey Hills.

This is a beautiful church. Worth going for a holly mass or just pop in if you around. It is surrounded by old graves and old trees. Please always close the door to prevent birds going into the church. 🙂

Beautiful peaceful place in the middle of a busy high street.

A peaceful church ground, giving one a time away from the hustle and bustle of the busy high street.

The church is your standard small town affair, but what really irked me was the ghastly embittered looks and death stares from the decrepit volunteers and wardens who look at you as if you're trying to graffiti the church, or make off with the collection box. Very unwelcoming and hostile atmosphere.

I moved to Dorking just over 4 years ago and was immediately made to feel very welcome in the warm and caring church community. I love the feel of our church with “relevant to all ages”sermons and great music provided by our excellent choir and the other activities on offer. I had the opportunity to move away from Dorking a little while ago but decided to stay and the church community was one of the many reasons for my staying.

We were recommended this place by a friend and were so excited that we made the 45 minute drive to it on Saturday. After having looked around the ground floor we were about to venture upstairs for a look around and the lady manning the shop proceeded to yell out that she was closing for lunch! There were quite a few people in the shop. So we had had a 45 minute drive for a short view of the shop. Its not situated but anything else so we couldn't fill time although we didn't even know what time she'd be re opening ! Very disappointed

A wonderful aladdin’s cave of joy filled with lots of unique items. Gasps around every corner, could have spent all my money and more. Tracey was so helpful and friendly, went above and beyond to find out about delivery to the north west for me. Plenty of parking, toilets inside, easy to find as it’s right on the main road. Will definitely be popping in every time I head back to Sussex to spend more of my hard earned cash.

This Emporium is a lovely place to browse for antiques and unusual home decor pieces. The staff offer a friendly and helpful welcome. It's hard to come away without taking something delightful home! There is ample parking to the front of the building. Toilets are available inside. The staff leave you free to browse but are more than happy to offer advice should you need it. No hard sell here, which is a welcome change from some establishments.

First time going here (which was a few years ago now), had a good range of unique items to sell here and even gave me very good offers! Managed to buy some traffic lights here for their cheapest price! Very amazing staff and would so recommend to anyone who is looking for any unique items

Although the trip was really for the wife I quite enjoyed the visit. Definitely some strange but also some fun and cool things to spruce up your house or garden. Looking forward to going back sometime 👍

Super informative and amusing gin tasting and distillery tour. Beautiful quiet location and some great gins. They have different food vans onsite during the week so you can also grab a bite to eat. We had the curry van, would highly recommend.

We went on the Gin Experience tasting and tour. We arrived early and had some food to line our stomachs. The tapas were excellent and good value for money, especially the wine. We then went on the tasting and tour. Our guide was the one and only Kate. She made the tour a five star experience. My favourite gin was the most expensive at £110 a bottle, shows that I've got good taste.

Been for the brunch back in July, and the gin tasting experience in October. Wonderful food and pairings. Really enjoyed learning more about the gins and the stories behind them at the tasting. Would highly recommend both experiences to any gin lover! Also, easy access from the train station. 20 min walk down the country lanes.

We had such a wonderful time doing the gin tasting experience! Henry was a brilliant host - funny and knowledgeable! The gins were delicious and we met and got to know some brilliant people from our group. Would really recommend this for a fun activity - just make sure you book a cab!!

Lovely brunch at the gin kitchen. Service was very good and the setting is lovely - we had all the bifold doors pulled back to let the sun on. Food was lovely and all 5 gins are very good. This was my second brunch visit and I’ll be back.

Had a wonderful day yesterday at the Gin Kitchen. I booked the bottomless brunch for my mum and I. All the Gins were fantastic and paired so well with the food. We loved the Gins so much we bought 4 bottles! Angie the Manager is so passionate and clearly loves her job and this came across in the service we received from her and the team. So friendly and welcoming. We're planning our next trip.

We went for brunch it was really amazing. The food was lovely and the gin was definitely free flowing. We only just managed to finish all our drinks. Service was superb and the staff were so friendly. Setting was beautiful and we had a great time. This was our second visit and we will be visiting again soon. Great day thank you so much❤️

We went here with friends a few months ago which was amazing, went back a couple of weeks ago and the experience means I'll never go back! Arrived at 6 and ordered 2 drinks and tapas, our friends arrived at 6.20 and ordered, staff recognised we were waiting still. After chasing twice our drinks and food arrived at 7.40!!!! Further to this the food vans they had on our first visit were fantastic. This has now been replaced by overpriced tapas! (£4 for hummus) which is a severe downgrade!

We visited the gin kitchen for a brunch and weren’t disappointed. We were immediately met by one of the team who got us seated, talked us through the gins and food and how to pair them. The lady was really friendly and helpful. We had 5 gins accompanied with tasty food. The gin kitchen has a great atmosphere. We visited in January and the toilets were outside in a barn so it was a little chilly and it was really hard to get an Uber, but if you need a taxi home, the staff have numbers for local firms.

Went for mother's day afternoon tea and it was absolutely incredible. Included a cocktail and unlimited tea, and we were able to get more sandwiches brought over. All the food was so good and it was great that we could bring our dog. The day we went they were understaffed and clearly stressed but absolutely lovely. Sadly some customers were a bit entitled and rude to the staff but we were impressed that they handled it so calmly! We'll definitely be back next year as well (if we've digested all the food by then!!).

Fabulous experience. We arrived early for our gin tasting and tour, so that we could eat first. The pizza and tapas were lovely. All the members of the team were amazing. Kate, who led our tasting, was fantastic. The passion, fun and dedication showed in abundance. We will definitely return and would highly recommend a visit.

Went with a group from work on a Saturday evening. I would suggest booking a table as it is a small space. Parking is a little tight at busy times. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The cocktail menu was impressive with lots of seasonal additions. Food was excellent and served promptly. We had a great time and will be going back.

Nice location (even being in the middle of nowhere). Would have been an incredible evening if the service was better. Table was booked for just under 20 people for a birthday for 7.30pm. Deposit taken. People sitting at our table eating and relaxing at 8pm and management did not manage this. Service was slow a snail would have moved faster - birthday girl at one point waited over an hour for her drink, one person didn’t get there food and the team didn’t think to come and advise her of this. Flatbread was actually flat crackers - not sure if they ran out so we got the crackers instead. No last call out for last call. They seriously missed out on revenue as getting drinks was just the slowest. At one point they came to get the same order twice! The place isn’t big and they were not super busy so not sure what happened. No real apology and no discount or round of drinks on the house. Not sure I would go back if this is the norm.

Very quiet and peaceful location, and very welcoming and friendly staff who moved a table outside for us. We had a couple of their delicious cocktails in the sunshine and ended up buying a bunch of their gins! Will definitely be back when the kitchen is open for some tapas to go with my gin.

Christique Antique Centre has such a wide variety of antique china, jewellery, silver, metalware, tapestry, woodwork and vintage items. A great place to visit. Polite and helpful staff to assist you.

A little antique museum in the town. Recommend for who loves old things to take a tour. Great collection. Fair price.

I PUT A SMALL DEPOSIT ON A RING, AS IS A WOMAN'S PREROGATIVE, I CHANGED MY MIND, BEFORE ANY ALTERATION HAD BEEN DONE, SO I WENT IN AND APOLOGISED, THE GUY WAS EXTREMELY RUDE, I'M CERTAIN HE WOULDN'T HAVE SPOKEN TO ANOTHER GUY THE WAY HE SPOKE TO ME, THE LADIES WERE NICE AND POLITE, BUT I WON'T BE RETURNING.

Nice antique shop which has reduced in size over the years. It has a good selection of items but on the expensive side. The only thing that isn’t pleasant are the staff. On most visits, and especially todays visit 18th May, there is one older lady in particular who sits in the office (in front of the main entrance) bad mouthing the customers behind their backs to other colleagues for everyone to hear - RUDE!! If you aren’t happy working in a customer service environment, then I recommend you retire, change careers or just move on! If you want a great experience, then visit the Dorking Antique Centre, which is a few doors further down the road and spend your hard earned money there.

Walked past many times before and finally went inside today. Two friendly staff - one said hello and other had a good conversation with us. Lovely selection of anitques for different budgets.

Excellent place, fantastic coronation chicken in the coffee lounge/tea room. Wonderful little garden to sit out in during the summer, covered by fig trees.

Thought about reducing by one star as the seating is uncomfortable - benches attached to wall are just a bit too high meaning your legs dangle a few inches from the floor and eventually it cuts off your circulation. Beer keg seating with a cushion on top likewise only good for sitting for a short time. Toilet was scruffy, no hot water and had run out of paper towels to dry your hands. But this is all minor and easily corrected and is no reflection on the beer. On the plus side the staff are friendly, knowledgeable and the various beers, (which is why you visit), are excellent. Worth noting this is organically produced beer so it tastes great but looks cloudy as they dont use finings (a byproduct obtained from fish) to clear the brew.

Had an excellent experience here this weekend. Knowledgeable and interesting staff talked us through the history and process of brewing and provided us with a few liveners along the way. Excellent beer and a good morning out.

Although it's a bit out of the way it's well worth popping in to sample one of their great beers, or grabbing a 6-pack or a mini-keg to takeaway! My favourite is their Five Claw IPA, but their Pilcrow Pale is a close second! Their staff are super friendly, and I know I will be going back soon. I need to stock up the fridge for Christmas! 🧑‍🎄

Great experience when Dorking Brewery supplied our school summer fair of 1000 guests! The draught mini bar went down a storm and the beer was great! Thoroughly recommend.

Very informative explanation of the history and brewing techniques at this local gem. We were invited to sample a range of different beers and understand the characteristics of each one. Highly recommended. Thank you.

Cycled down to the brewery from dorking station, had a lovely time in the bar trying all the different beers. Tom master brewer was very friendly and welcoming and even showed us some of the process of how the beer is made. Would definitely recommend dropping by- they do mini kegs for parties or a variety of cans.

Sadly we did not enjoy our visit today. The car park was a third of what it should ha e been so parking was very difficult at midday. As I am unable to drink beer I ordered wine that was served in a pint glass as no wine glasses? Red wine ran out at 1pm, my friend cut his hand on a chair and my husband had his beer go almost over as the tables were cable holders and very unsteady. The children asked for tomato ketchup on their chips but there was none and no salt available either. We wanted to support our brewery for their advertised birthday celebration but it was as though they had forgotten that people were coming. We did this a few years before and it was 100% better. Such a disappointment.

Please visit this small brewery in the Capel area of Dorking they give a good mini tour and are friendly. You can also pick up your beer direct from here to take home 😊

Great range of ales. The Tap Room is open to anyone and it has a bar and some snacks. Well worth a visit.

I recently came across DB. Delivery service was so quick and easy to order - a winner. More importantly the beer was excellent so I decided to take a diversion and drop in and take a look whilst passing through the area. Well worth it. The team are so helpful and welcoming and even gave me a mini tour. Fully stocked for the Euros. Thank you Neel and all at DB.

Went over for the first time last weekend and loved it, tried a few of the beverages on offer and loved them all and our favourite was their Pilcrow Pale Ale. Great flavour/taste, we will be back for more very soon. Thank you to the whole team.
