We booked this in advance (National Trust) - the tour was great with really knowledgeable and enthusiastic guides. Sadly the projector was not working so we missed the film on our visit (being repaired). Quite a lengthy tour (75mins) but our 10 year old coped! Well worth a visit - beach is just down the road afterwards too!

Massive steam engine (unfortunately its steaming days are over) shows you the ingenuity of the Cornish miners. Our tour guide was great and a sprightly 81 year old - I managed to keep up though!

It was an amazing experience having a tour around the area of this former mine, preceded by looking at the exhibits myself about its history! A lady took me and others through all of the different rooms, detailing what the equipment was once used in them for and areas where certain activities once took place. We also were shown pictures depicting the conditions in the mine and went down a tunnel, giving a feel of how the workers felt!

Such a fascinating and important piece of Cornish history, and a REALLY interesting tour from our guide Dave! So good to be able to get up close to all the mining equipment, so much of which is in amazing condition.

The Penryn Camera Club trekked to Pool to visit the NT East Pool Mine. Our really informative guide, Sue, entertained us with stories and facts as we worked around the site. Naturally, cameras were in good use, and folk drifted here and there photographing interesting things. Sue was overheard saying to a colleague; It’s like herding friendly cats!! So I guess we enjoyed it far more than Sue did. The brickwork is stunning, and you are left wondering how they cast and installed some of the massive beams and counterweights. Well worth a visit.

National Trust site for Cornish mining heritage. Park at back of Morisons car park ( this is the official parking). Reception, cinema, engine house and many other ruined buildings. You can walk around, or pre-book a tour, where you will see more. Quite expensive and a little over reconstructed for my taste. But a must see for the area.

Very interesting guided tour, Hayden did a great job at keeping the kids engaged with questions and tasks. Not the biggest attraction but the guided tour makes it.

Really interesting collection of buildings which formed the working mine on this site. You go round as part of a group our guide was highly knowledgeable about this and other mining sites in the area. Probably the highlight is the beam engine which is on site and believe still in working order but I'm not sure of any schedule when it runs. Just to note parking is reached from Morrisons car park at the far end.

A great option on a rainy day since most exhibits are indoors. You should reserve a tour in advance. Our guide was great with our 9 year old. Such interesting facts about the geology of the area and how the mine worked. Trust the Google Map directions as you will be parking in a grocery car park.

This is a pre book visit but a great visit none the less. Our guide was very nice full of information on the mines locally etc. It takes about an hour including a small film which was very good.

We stayed at the lake campsite for two nights. It was very quiet. A great little site, the facilities are clean and well looked after. The on-site cafe is great and the breakfast was amazing. Husband booked paddle boarding and loved it whilst I sat and photographed the activity on the lake which was great to watch.

Lovely staff, great location, good infrastructures, and nice windsurfing gear. Highly recommended!

Had the most amazing few days camping in the Bell Tents. They were very cozy and spacious with a great cooking set with everything available. Staff were all so helpful with everything before arrival and during. We really didn’t want to leave as enjoyed it so much and loved the kayaking. I really recommend it to everyone, we had such an amazing time.

I'd never been here before but my son was wanting a bit of one on one time. We booked to do kayaking and I'm so glad we did. The instructor was fantastic, reassuring and patient with two totally inexperienced people. Out on the lake we had so much fun (just was we needed). The lake is stunning when out on it. But views from the shore are just as beautiful. Afterwards my son and I went to the cafe and had the tastiest food. All in all, I thoroughly recommend coming here for some fun. Plenty of activities to choose fun including kayaking, windsurfing and Canadian canoeing.

Great campsite, plenty of room, very quiet. Bathroom facilities are fantastic, separate shower/toilet rooms. Cafe is great with the most awesome breakfast. Either bring your own paddle board/windsurfer etc or hire from the centre. Definitely one to visit again.

My children 9 and 12 both did dingy sailing and wind surfing. Tom was their instructor. He was very nice and amazing with the kids. They enjoyed it so much they asked to go again the next day to do more activities on the lake. The cafe is lovely too and very accommodating. Great menu providing vegetarians, vegan, gluten free options. Thier home made jam is the best I have had.

Had lunch where after a very windy kayak experience. Food was brilliant and worth waiting for. Vegan breakfast very tasty. Would be good also just for a lunch. Staff at water sport centre couldn’t have been more helpful. We only had an hour so part refunded (due to weather). Super helpful and friendly.

We had a really good time. I did the adult club sail session, and our safety boat (Will) gave us a really good pep talk and some good advice for low wind. Ive not really sailed properly for years, but felt really safe and supported, but also free to play and fail which kept the session exciting. I literally can't fault the session, it was safe and fun and a good learning experience. My daughters did a windsurfing taster session and they had fun too. 10/10, will definitely go there again. Great value for money on a Saturday if you can claim competence. The taster session was a little more pricey, but compared to hiring kit at the beach the one instructor for two kids was amazing

We had a fantastic introduction to all the reptiles this afternoon, Emily was very knowledgeable and passionate about the animals. We loved the fact that many of the reptiles were rescued. Highly recommend a visit. Many thanks.

Wonderful experience for animal lovers. We enjoyed the informative morning porcupine & meercat feeding and the afternoon touch & learn experience with a few of the resident creatures & kritters. Was well worth the small entry fee of £5pp. Hope the locals embrace this small zoo and make it a regular outing, helping to support it out of season particularly. This centre is constantly expanding and improving. Looking forward to seeing the future additions.

What a lovely experience. We went to the afternoon meet the animals and the girl who took us round was lovely and shared lots of information about the animals. The feeding and holding was a great experience.

Great place. Very cheap. Has a shop on site with food and drink. There are regular show and tells where you get to meet animals or you can pay extra for one on one. My son and daughter met and fed a fox. Great fun

I recently had the incredible opportunity to visit Feadon Wildlife Center, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience! As an avid nature enthusiast, I was blown away by the park's captivating beauty and the exceptional care given to the resident animals. The amazing owl experience was brilliant and I would definitely recommend going it's something you will remember. The staff members are truly exceptional and play a vital role in creating a memorable and enjoyable experience for visitors. Their passion for wildlife and dedication to conservation was evident in every interaction as they knew everything about each animal they had. It was impressive.

It's quite small but my four year old and I were there for over an hour, for £5 each I think that's pretty good. We got to feed the chickens, had a talk about the meerkats and porcupines. The two members of staff we spoke with were lovely. Next time we're going to book one of the animal experiences too

Attended for the Father Christmas experience and it was one of the better ones this year! Amazing one on one interaction - Santa is just magical - highly recommend going at night when dark and the path is lite up

Both my 10 year old daughter and I had a fantastic Sunday at Feadon. A big thank you to the amazing young lady who carried out an incredible indoor birds of prey show and exciting reptile meet and greet whilst also somehow caring for all the animals. We can't wait to come back.

A great little place with friendly and engaging staff. There’s a range of experiences available, including the fox feeding, which I recommend doing!

This is clearly a zoo and not a sanctuary or rescue centre. Their sessions gives you the chance to meet a range of animals from their „GROWING COLLECTION“. They have „hands on experiences“, a complete no go with WILD animals. They claim that all of their foxes have been rescued (yet they are not all being released again) and they claim that „many“ of their birds of prey and mammals are rescues as well. So they seem to breed animals just for the sake of imprisoning them. Visitors are invited to „immerse yourself in the wild“ while wild animals are being forced to not live wild. This is ridiculous und no one should ever consider bringing them any rescues. What a shame.

Lovely little animal centre, only £5pp, variety of animals and birds, education centre with a great opportunity for people to learn about certain animals and reptiles and a chance to hold and touch them, little shop with gifts and snacks also on site takes about an hour and half to go around, worth a visit.

Definitely worth visiting if you're in the area. Some very interesting history. From here you can also walk up Carn Marth to see some amazing views.

An interesting place to see (however don't plan a day out this is just what you see in the pictures) this was the start of a circular iwalk for us and it was a very, very wet day which only added to the laughter. An iconic place in Cornwall that I can now mark off but not somewhere I'd feel the need to revisit.

Enjoyed the mile walk down and up and around and around the Pit. Didn't realise it was famous as it says it is on the board.

Great little site, very spiritual and very historical. Just beautiful. I walked from Carharrack (took ~20 mins) and it’s a lovely scenic walk too.

A hidden gem, very friendly and knowledgeable staff and a lovely tearoom.

Despite the cold, and hail stones, Gwennap Pit is peaceful and quiet, and on a better day certainly somewhere to be able to sit and reflect. Smaller than I imagined it to be, but not disappointed. Will return when the Chapel is open, and I'm able to go in and have a look. Very easy to find and well sign posted, but only parking for 3 cars at a push directly outside. Not sure if there is on street parking nearby. Definately worth a visit, especially for Methodists, owing to the link with John Wesley

Carvery is amazing, £8.25 and includes free soft play if you have kids. Don't even need to have kids to enjoy the Carvery, the food was piping hot, fresh hot vegetables and hot plates, waiter/waitress table service and an alcohol license too. I was surprised to see that they cater for vegetarians as most places have little or no choice for a vegetarian, they also cater for vegans as well which is extremely good. Desserts fresh and home made, very large portions too. This place has become my regular Sunday Carvery from now on. Well worth a visit, it's advisable to book ahead as it gets busy.

Good laser play games. Not enough for kids to do whilst waiting for the games. Food not brilliant.

Went to Bombadingas soft play for the first time in well over a year today with my 8 and 5 yr olds - used to spend a lot of time here when they were little, but haven't been since my youngest started school. They had such a good time, and it is just as clean and well maintained as I remember. Food was very good too, and reasonably priced. Won't be leaving it so long before we go back again!

Ladies toilets are disgusting, 1 broken and 1 the floor was covered in wee! My kids ordered sausage and chips and it was swimming in oil, took several napkins to drain off. The actual soft play structure is good and well thought out but the amenities need a lot of attention! 14.4.19

A great place to visit and enjoy with the kids. Lots of play areas, also has a play area for babies. Tea coffee and food are also served here to. Cheap play. For the older kids and dads there is a snooker table or pool table. And for those who are more adventurous there is a lazertag place to.

Visited on a family holiday and we won't be in a rush to come back this week! Staff walked through the locked gated area and left the gate wide open behind them; leaving the chance for our little boy to run out. Toilets are of poor quality and toys available need a thorough scrub.

I absolutely love this place. They do an event every Friday that is extremely cheap and fun too. Great for kids of any age. They do soft play and intense laser tag.

The heritage name was really lived up to by this place, from the very start when me and my parents went into the mining section with hard hats on. We enjoyed the trains section the most however, loving seeing the model railways, vintage trains, carefully crafted models and riding on the mini railway! There are models up of other vehicles, such as planes and cars, as well as ones of landmarks that are great too. The staff were really friendly, welcoming us and chatting away, before we picked up a couple of classic rail books from the shop!

A fantastic place to visit. Spent a couple of hours here with my son. Lots off ideas for maccano, great train layouts. We even had chance to have a ride on a carriage towed by one of the oldest electrical vehicles that used to be used down the mines! Very friendly staff who I think are mostly volunteers! Well worth a visit and we'll be going again soon. Thumbs up from us..

Small carpark with 5 spaces. Fantastic walk and the engine houses are amazing, so lovely to see some Cornish history in such good condition. You can look around and go in the engine houses. Lovely walk around the paths and great views. You will not be disappointed.

A great place to take in the mining heritage of the area. Plaques dotted around tells you more about the history and workings of the buildings. Very interesting and recommended.

Fantastic information boards and a great place to walk

Wheal Peevor is located in Radnor just before you reach the Radnor Golf Course. There is free parking at Wheal Peevor car park, but the car park is very small so there is limited space available. This whole area has a Rich Cornish Tin Mining Heritage. There are plaques on the engine house's, and you can see the great work that has been done to look after these buildings, so generations to come can view these magnificent buildings and learn about Cornwall's Great Tin Mining Heritage. Located next to the engine house's there are very detailed information boards detailing their history. There is also a very nice walk along side, and past the engine house's, the pathways are easily accessible and very well maintained. A great place to visit especially if you would like to learn more about the Cornish Tin Mining Industry.

Absolutely beautiful! Love how the information boards are set out giving a recommended route around the site. Great for walking my dog and letting him off lead. Very atmospheric and beautifully maintained (I remember the scaffolding being up for a long time whilst they were being maintained). Particularly lovely at the moment due to the lovely purple Heather. Fantastic distant sea views.

This a under visited mining heritage location where you can get up close to beautiful old mine buildings with information boards telling you their history. A small free car park is located next to it.

Lovely walk around the mine buildings. As mentioned previously, the walk is somewhat ruined by inconsiderate dog owners not cleaning up after their pets. I'm a dog owner and am constantly irritated by such people - there is a bin, so use it!

Very good price, it's a short course however it's narrow so it's quite a challenge. Very nice bar area and a well stocked club shop

Good afternoon out, went on the driving range. Pay a 30 golf ball token for £2.50 and borrow some clubs provided with no extra charge.

Well run club with a competent very welcoming staff (owners). Course very well looked after and presented. Well stocked shop with competitive pricing and advice readily available, bar and restaurant very good food and drink. The icing on the cake the membership really good company. I love it!

Decent little 9 hole course with well kept greens. Good for practicing your short game

Despite being a par 3, this is a great little course, not a pitch and put. For those who play larger courses, this is great for your short game and the driving range offers the you the chance to hit long.

Used the driving range for a bit of fun with the kids. friendly staff, pretty basic range though.

The only place I know of that has skiing facilities in Cornwall. Not your traditional dry ski slope, it is more like a revolving carpet! I know that sounds rather odd, but it is actually quite effective and has the advantage that the instructor is always very close to the students and hence can see exactly what they are doing and can give tailored instruction. The facilities and equipment are quite worn and feel rather dated, but they still do the job and if you live in mid or west Cornwall then it is so much more convenient than driving all the way to Plymouth dry ski slope. You have to book ahead and there are only certain times when an instructor is available, but I can definitely recommend it, especially if you are a complete beginner and want to learn the basics before going skiing on snow. The instructor we had was fantastic and really good with kids.

We use the driving range mostly which is small in bays but works just great. Course is more for beginners but that's ok - not easy to score as greens small - good fun. Very well stocked pro shop and nice people.
