This was an interesting and eclectic collection. Many cool cars and tons of "stuff". Bikes, toys, signs, gas pumps, pretty much anything car related. 7 pound fee to enter which i thought was reasonable. Friendly staff.

This museum packs in a lot within a medium floor plan - and had loads of cars, signs, and trinkets around, to where it was hard to know where to look! It was a very eclectic collection that included cars, motorcycles, caravans, bicycles, photos, toys, and more. There was really good signage that gave details on the car model, previous owners, key changes or tech, and a few jokes or quizzes throughout that gave a humorous or interactive touch. If you want a quick browse through allow around 30 minutes, though you could likely spend a few hours if wanting to look at the many items in detail. It's a very reasonable price so worth a brief browse if cars are of interest and you're nearby.

Well we didn't know that place existed. We just passed by and thought to give it a go. We thought twice about paying the ticket, but we did. And in the end, that museum was worth every single penny we paid. The collection of old cars and motorcycles is massive. And all of them are well preserved and nicely placed on display. Most of the vehicles also had all the history behind them. The place was also decorated with several other stuff -some of them vehicle related but not all of them- that were brought from the past and they were giving an amazing feeling of being back then. Very immersive and well thought. If you ever pass by and you love cars or bikes (or even not at all, just feeling nostalgic for the past), deffo get in.

Brilliant collection of vintage motoring memorabilia, trinkets and ornaments from the last hundred years of British motoring. Excellent collection of cars set in a uniquely period museum. Friendly staff and great gift shop. Takes around 45 minutes to 1 hour to visit. Recommended!

The size of the museum is very deceiving from the outside, it's much larger than expected. We were completely enthralled by it, spending an enjoyable hour looking at all the exhibits. Well worth the £7 per head.(15/5/22).

We really enjoyed this visit as a family for totally different reasons! I was interested in the history, my husband loved the motors, and my son loved the numerous play points (fantastic for keeping little hands off the displays!) I personally couldn’t find all of the gnomes (if you know, you know)!

Nice little museum, this place has a fair few cars but the place is crammed with memorabilia. It could take you days to mooch through the cabinets. It's very well priced with activity sheet for all ages. The shop has lots of model cars and the like. The people are super friendly and there is lots of other thing to do locally.

I was a bit sceptical of going in but in the end I did visit and it was VERY interesting.. take the quiz (questionnaire) when you go in and interestingly enough, you'll learn a lot and spot things you wouldn't normally do! Definitely recommend the visit and £7.50 entrance fee is a bargain!

What a little jewel of a place. We were aware it was in Bourton on the water but didn't expect a lot. Well I couldn't have been more wrong. 8 rooms stuffed with motoring and general historical paraphernalia, something for everybody not just motoring buffs. Child friendly with a nice play area and reasonably accessible for the disabled such as myself. Price was about what you would expect these days but most definitely worth a visit.

This museum is absolutely crammed to the gills with transportation-themed artifacts from the first half of the 20th century. Lots to see for kids and adults of all ages and worth the money. Many nice old automobiles and even caravans (trailers), but I was somewhat disappointed that the collection of autos wasn't more extensive. Didn't see too many from late 40s or early 50s.

We spent over an hour, drooling over these amazingly well preserved exhibits. Very well presented and documented in their decades. Nostalgia is evoked with the written comments, video footage, often aided with images of TV characters and associated lifestyle items relating to toys, sport, fashion, household decor. Very well thought out. Well worth exploring!

Had a great time. Learned a lot and they have really nice collections of cars. I enjoyed the gnome hint with my kids. Very well thought through for youngsters with the small entertainment stops along the whole way. Also saw Brum!!! I would highly recommend to those interested in automotive history and a nice afternoon with some history. Great location too.

We thoroughly enjoyed the motoring museum. I was worried it would be overwhelming having so many items tightly crammed in but it was actually exciting to find treats and treasures around every corner. It felt more immersive to have everything from the same era in one area. There were audio guides available by scanning a QR code but we didn't make use of them.

What a wonderful museum to visit. There is so much to look at in there, we spent a good few hours making sure to take everything in. There was even things to do while you're going round like quizzes and spotting little hidden things. Such wonderful history kept, and even history of Brum. I would highly recommend visiting if you ever get the chance.

There is so much to see, its an amazing collection spread over eight rooms, each with its own theme. It's literally impossible to see everything. You'll need to give yourself plenty of time to walk around.

What an amazing little museum. It's old and full from floor to ceiling with historical motoring paraphernalia. Sadly, as I walked around, I began to notice things that I recognised. Yes, it made me feel rather old. It would possibly take you about one hour to complete the tour, but don't rush. Check out the lables attached to some of the exhibitions as they give you a bit of an invite to the original owners of some of the vehicles. Some of these have superb stories to tell.

A fantastic museum showcase a huge array of cars, motoring memorabilia, toys and history. We had a lovely tome looking around all of the rooms. Very friendly staff and quizzes/trail sheets for the kids, we enjoyed the brum one.

I only had half an hour to spare before my bus home, so I quickly popped in to see Brum and I did not regret it. What a beautiful museum! I just wish I'd had longer to look around, but I still managed to have a quick look through each room and I will definitely be back for a longer visit. The collections of toy cars are absolutely incredible. And it was so lovely to see Brum.

Lovely place to take the kids. It's not too big so you can be done in an hour, or you can take your time. There's little play stations in each room to distract the kids for a few minutes so adults can appreciate the collections. There's a quiz (I would say too difficult for kids) to do as you go round which adds an extra fun element. There's a lovely little garden area about halfway through with a few little cars for the kids to play in and run around to give them a break. No parking but there's a big car park just a 5-minute walk away. Affordable, takes card payment. Lovely town overall. Really recommend 👍👍

Really loved this place. Very quirky, but as a history and car fan it was really interesting. It's characterful and charming. One of the areas has an authentic 'smell' which was a bit overpowering, but the time passed there was very enjoyable. Keep in mind this is a smaller older museum, but is individual with some great stories such as the motorbike where one of the original owners realised it used to be his and left a note as to its history.

It was one of the best motor museums I have been to. Well worth the price, and there are some interactive displays as well as loads of information on each car. There is also lots of old signage and lots of old toys. 🧸

Nice way to spend a couple of hours seeing the birds and the jurasic walk. They have quite a bit variety of birds from around the world. penguin feeding is at 2:30 every day. The animal enclosures are not very large, but they seem well kept. There's a cafe inside and £11 adult entry fee seemed like a fair price. Spent around an hour and a half there, but could be there longer

Well laid out and varied bird park, designed to feel bigger than it actually is. The dinosaur walk was interesting and relevant to birds as well. Access for disability was good, and parking was close by. All dog friendly. The price was around what you would expect these days, but the cafe food was a little underwhelming. Worth a visit if you are in the area anyway.

First visit to Bourton on the Water and Birdland Park and Gardens. Had a fantastic time. Visited with a supported individual who paid the regular admission fee and as a carer my admission was £3.00. We were amazed at seeing all the different types of birds. Thoroughly enjoyed the penguins and flamingos. Enjoyed the penguin feeding demonstration. Will definitely return.

Really nice place to visit - I think three times now. Large variety of birds to see, but favourite are the penguins and pelicans. They all seem well looked after and quite active. A lot of other goings to do in Bourton so recommend making a weekend of it! Only criticism, the cafe a bit overpriced.

Visited as three adult couples and three children aged 5-10. Lovely half day out, although could be stretched to a full day with kids. It was very well maintained, amazing selection of birds. Dinosaurs were also well done and a nice forest walk. Excellent kids playground. Cafe very small and basic but adequate and good service. There were queues for women's toilets though as there aren't many at all and you did have to pay for parking separate as the car park does not belong to the zoo, but that's very minor negatives. On the whole a must visit for any bird lovers.

Such an amazing wildlife park! There are many beautiful birds to see here, so it is definitely worth a visit. I loved the penguins in particular🤭🐧 The man who spoke about them was very knowledgeable and factual. We were all highly impressed!😁

Beautiful animals but a very upsetting experience. 'Weedland' would be more fitting!! At the end of my pictures, I took photos of just some of the weed infested, run-down enclosures. These, however, reflect all of them. Dirty water, small enclosures, and especially what I believe to be an abandoned Eagle forgotten about in a run-down cage. Metal around the site exposed everywhere and bins overflowing with rubbish. Apart from the ticket desk, the only staff I saw were the two young girls in the Ice Cream hut. Regardless of how much this place may bring in due to its location, the state of these enclosures and the site overall is absolutely appalling! It should be shut down, renovated, and a host of experienced keepers around the clock to look after these beautiful animals and the minimal spaces they have been given. As an animal lover, I left Birdland feeling nothing but infuriated and upset, and I will be looking into this further. They should be absolutely ashamed of themselves!!

We enjoyed the range of birds they had here, however the fact it wasn’t a discounted price when some enclosures were being renovated and the dessert bit wasn’t even open is wrong. Reception didn’t warn of this and were no signs to say this. The enclosures were not very big either and I’m not sure why they make these bird enclosures so low, why can’t they be very high so the birds can actually fly a bit? Doesn’t take up any more of a footprint in the park. Takes about 1 hour to see everything so don’t expect to spend a day here!

Such a lovely Bird Park, I really enjoyed my visit. Given 4 stars just because the park is a little tired in parts and could do with a lick of paint here and there. Having said that, the bird collection is extensive. Not much in the way of birds of prey and not tonnes of parrots but a wide variety of stork type birds, ducks, flamingos and a fair amount of owls. The King penguins however did steal the show on this occasion, a unique asset to the park and a reason to visit as it is the only place in England that has them and they are so damn cute. I recommend for a nice couple of hours out.

We visited Birdland on a Saturday in January around noon. We didn’t book in advance. There is a public car park next to Birdland. Really lovely few hours out in the fresh air, lots of open space and nature to see and explore. Great variety of birds, and the Jurassic Journey trail was a nice change to explore with different dinosaur foot prints and interactive stands you can across, alongside the snowdrops being out. The park and gardens were accessible for those with prams, wheelchairs etc. lots of space and different places to stop and sit for a minute or get the picnic out. There is a little play park and a few climbing frames. The cafe, Nest Kitchen is relatively new with a nice menu. On the day and time we went, the cafe was slightly busy with some uncleared tables and mess on the floor left by previous customers (so not the staff’s fault). Whilst acknowledging part of the park presented tired, we know times are hard in terms of high running costs and keeping such a large number and wide variety of animals. So I don’t believe that deserves a star marked down, they need our support to meet basic bills so highly recommend a visit and a great few hours outdoors, learning and seeing nature.

An amazing time had a Bird World. A lot to see in beautiful surroundings. Penguins are a standout and our 6 year old enjoyed the Dinosaur trail. Very recommended.

Stunning park with a great variety of birds, the enclosures are really well kept and the park is clean. Lots of informative posters around too. We arrived not long after it opened for the day, we stayed for 3 hours and it was very quiet; it was a cold day and none of the keeper talks happened, the cafe wasn't open for lunch either so would recommend planning a trip on guaranteed warm weather to properly enjoy, especially if taking the family! Despite that, the staff were really friendly and welcoming, a lovely day out

Nice place to visit at Bouton on waters. Even though it's a bit small, it has a good variety of birds. Only underwhelming part was the Jurassic section. It's got dinosaur models but no sound. It is catered for kids though. For the dog owners, you are allowed to bring them as long they are on a lead

Family friendly. Wide collection. It has an amazing collection of beautiful birds. We could cover the same in 2 hours with a relaxed pace. It has a nice kids play area, toilets, cafe area and a gift shop. Parking is not free. Barrier free access to almost all places possible.

The penguins alone are worth the visit! They are absolutely gorgeous, and their enclosure allows you to get so close to them. They all have name bands on their arms, and all the names are fab. They all seem very comfortable with people coming to say hi. Penguins, owls, flamingo, ostrich, parrots, and birds of prey are a few I can think of that we saw. There are so many amazing birds to be seen here. It's a lovely place to wander around for an afternoon. It only took us around an hour and a half, but I imagine if you have children, it would take longer. The jurassic journey walk was fun, and there was an archaeology hut where you could experience dusting off a fossilised dinosaur, as well as play areas. They have a cafe which looks lovely, and the toilets weren't too bad, although I expect there will be queues if it's in the busy season. Gift shop had the usual zoo type bits and bobs, and I had to get myself a pen, of course. This is definitely not a full day activity, but as it's right on the edge of the High Street, you can incorporate it into a full day of activities. Parking is in the High Street pay and display car park just to the side of the entrance to the park.

Brought my sister a penguin feed experience for her birthday. Brilliant experience with a well informed keeper he knew his stuff. Worth the money and plenty of feeding. She loved it.

Had a fantastic time. Great value for money and a huge number of birds to see. The penguin feeding and talk was very informative. We went on a whim and ended up spending 3-4 hours. Was a great day out on well worth a visit if you find yourself in the area.

Great place to visit for families. Love the penguins, they're so amusing. We had great fun through the Jurassic Journey, pretending to avoid being seen by the predators. After a rest in The Nest we watched the penguins being fed. Then through the gift shop. Loved it

Had a lovely few hours visiting. No need to book in advance. Animals were all active and clearly visible. Large variety and very interesting. Took our 5 month old and had a lovely time viewing all the birds. Pram friendly. Needs some slight renovation in some areas which is happening as the cafe area is all new.

We had an entourage of kids when we visited Bourton-on-water., so Birdland visit was a must. Not as huge as London Zoo but the variety of birds showcased is better. We had a nice picnic, the kids went crazy with the penguins. The toddler particularly enjoyed the Dino zone. The African display had beautiful hornbills. Most attention goes to the flamingoea and penguins though. The staff informed that many birds were bred here and acclamitised to the environment. There is parking nearby, be warned that mobile net is not well functional in this town so set your parking before you reach.

Great place to visit! We loved it. Nice way to spend a day of half term with the children. We had lunch at The Nest, which is inside the Birdland and the food was delicious. Highly recommend! Thank you!

Absolutely worth visiting. The model village is built with such great details. It took us about 20 minutes to walk around a couple of times to make sure we saw everything. The entry price is reasonable. Took a lot of pictures too but the pictures don’t show how cute the whole thing is. So I’d really recommend visiting this model village.

Tickets are available on the day at the venue. Parking is limited but there are other alternative parking spaces near by. Very interesting display of miniature town. You will be amazed to see all the buildings that you saw outside while walking to this place from canal side walk

I've been here 3 or 4 times over the past few years. This visit was lovely (as usual). Entry is cheap. The village is immaculately kept and new exhibits have been added since my last visit. The lady in the box office was so pleasant and helpful. She let my wife, who is disabled and can only walk a few paces very slowly, go around some of the exhibits for free.(and she lent her a walking-stick) It was the furthest she's walked for 3 years. She really enjoyed it - thank you so much. My grandchildren loved it. It is a good way to spend an hour and the 10% off food in the Tap House is a bonus.

The model village was very cool. Parking directly outside the entrance P&D. Spend approx 1hr there. You wouldn't need much more than that. We went with our toddler. You aren't able to take buggies round and it I wouldn't say it is the easiest for wheelchairs as there are small narrow bridges and pathways between the models. There is a mini model village of the model village which was quite amusing! The blossom on the trees and the spring flowers really bought the village to life! 🌼 There is a small museum area of mini scenes, it is £1 each to get in with a turn bar. Toilets were clean when we visited and there is babychange facility. After that, we grabbed a coffee and a cake from THE DEN and had a wander round the village. It was beautiful! 😊

Tiny place worthy to go for a short time. It's a small place with tiny models. It took us 30 minutes to go around more thank 3 times. Good design and easy to park, but not very high value for your money.

What an imagination and an accuracy of the details. Never miss it. Very reasonable price and for adults its just £4.50 and kids under 3 go for free. The whole village is presented accurately in a small back garden. See for yourself. U won’t regret it. Amazing 🤩

Loved my first model village experience here. You get such a sense of grandeur walking around the tiny replicas with meticulously trimmed trees and neat little gardens. There’s such a lovely attention to detail that you just have to experience and discover for yourself.

Absolutely amazing replica of Bourton. You're given a leaflet that gives you info on what the little buildings are, but you can definitely tell if you've spent any time walking around the streets prior to visiting. How long the visit lasts depends on how much time you take looking at each building. There is a set of steps that you can go up to see a full view of the little Town, and there is even a miniature miniature village in there, too, which really made me smile. There is an additional exhibition of miniatures in an additional section which I think was an additional £1, but we didn't go in there. Great little trip 😊

My partner and I enjoyed walking around the model village. The small versions of the real buildings at Bourton in the water are really impressive. It's so wonderfully unique, the sounds and window dressings or panels to look inside are fun too.

It was a Nice place for day out with Kids, well crafted and the village outside model is nice and pleasant as well. Parking is a bit of issue during good sunny days. Didn't expect large number of visitors. Children strollers/ buggy has to be left in a safe shades, due to obvious reason.

Well, i don't have any words or where to start. Because this place so beautiful and well structured that when i saw the place for the first, i was so impressed that i start taking pictures very madly. It is a well structured place with a small house and garden and Even little bridge where underneath there was a river. It's look like real village just got small. Worth visiting place not for just once but multiple times and you never get bored.

Not a massive property but we'll maintained. Definitely worth a visit with toddlers (good for adults too!). What amazed us the most is a model village inside the model village - kudos for working on the details like this. My toddler had fun, simply walking in the lanes and showing us the different stores and ice cream parlour, and what not. We spent 40mins, which was good enough time. They only accept cards for payments (someone behind us in the queue had to return!) Small, clean toilets. Only disappointment was the baby changing room - very small, no locks, missing dustbin lid.

If you want to feel like Gulliver in the land of Lilliput, this is the place. Makes for awesome pics as well. The details are amazing. It is very real like model of the village centre. I loved it.

A great place to visit, a model of the actual village. You'll recognise the buildings that you've shopped in and ate in all in miniature. Carefully crafted with great detail, a place definitely worth a visit.

Pretty cool place to visit. Was initially a bit skeptic about it as I’m not into the whole experience but I think for the price it was worth it. It is quite a cool concept and is within walking distance from the river. Would recommend people to visit it at least once with family!!

Amazing place to visit. Entry is card payment only. However bring a pound coin turnstile entrance fee and 20ps to see moving scenes in The Miniature World room (within the grounds of The Model Village). I'd like to go back, it's picture perfect. Parking was difficult, we nearly drove back without getting out of the car. We circled numerous small car parks for 45 minutes, before getting lucky with a short stay bay nearby. Once we were out of the car we had a lovely hour and a half. There was no queue for The Model Village.

Attention to details is just amazing. They have recreated all local landmarks in exactly the same architecture and used the exact same aged stone. It was a bit busy but still my toddler enjoyed looking at houses smaller than her.

Nice friendly welcome with a very fair price ticket. But with ten per cent off food in the pub next door. Cracking little place very well set out and if you stop and read the signs, an education into the model. Village and other areas.

The weather wasn’t the best when we visited Burton-on-the-water on NYE, so we were not able to have a decent walk around the actual village. So coming across the model village was great, as we could see the whole village. The miniature village is honestly so creative! I highly recommend a visit & only £4.50 for a ticket.

I love visiting the model village. It's so adorable and creative. The miniature houses, shops, and gardens are all made with such care and detail. I like to imagine what life would be like in this tiny world. The model village is a place of wonder and joy for me.

The model village is very cute. You will need 20 to 30 minutes to see all the models. The ticket has 4,50£. It's worth to visit it. And if you have children is the best choise.

Wonderful and unusual maze which all ages should find appealing, with clues to make finding the dragonfly that more fun and interesting. The owner who was running the kiosk is welcoming & friendly. Challenging, great fun for all and highly recommended!

Lovely fun activity to do with family. The entrance numbers are staggered so you never feel like there are too many people at once. Loved the clues on the floor to look for. We visited with 3 generations and the oldest enjoyed it as much as the youngest.

I love this place and have been 3 times now.. Firstly with my parents, then as a couple and thirdly with my now husband and three children. All ages can enjoy the fun and not always so easy clues, it certainly gets you thinking! The owner is friendly and informative. You can't pre-book but when we arrived we were booked in for a little later that day which gave us time to enjoy a walk around Burton on the Water.

This was a good experience, for families visiting with kids who are in earlier primary years.. Kids will enjoy finding out the clues and working it out.. Sometimes it might take a bit to reach the dragonfly place, its a good timeout for an hour..👍

Small but I recommend visiting in Bourton-on-the-Water! Go around the maze collecting clues and solving the riddle for a wonderful surprise at the end! Time taken could be anything between 20mins and 1 hr. Stuart at the reception booth is hilarious!

Fun for young and old alike. We were 2 adults and found it really enjoyable. Thought we were never going to get out. 🤣 Clues to solve along the way, quite tricky so thank goodness for the children at the end who helped us out 😄 Highly recommend for anyone visiting Bourton on the Water.

A wonderful place. When i asked my grandchildren (aged 8 and 6) what was their favourite thing about their week in the Cotswolds, they both said this was the coolest thing. They absolutely loved it. Our only regret was that we forgot to take photos! We were so carried away with the quiz and the lovely surprise at the centre!! The lady running it was obviously inspired when she decided to add the quiz.

Had so much fun especially our 6 yr old .He loved to find the clues though not easy to solve the riddle for his age.Finally finding the dragonfly was such a satisfying experience.Must visit for a family fun experience.

What a lovely place. We had so much fun. Unfortunately I cannot post more pics because I don't want to give up any clues.

We, 2 adults, loved this maze. If it were only a maze, I would have been very bored. However, they had 14 different locations you had to find in the maze. Each of the first 13 gave you clues, so when you arrived at the last location, you could uncover the dragonfly. We got lucky as when we arrived, we got right in. The lady at the desk was very helpful and friendly. She also keeps track of how many people are in the maze, so it's not overrun. To those to visit: When you find a clue or figure one out, please don't shout them out. We knew many already, but it takes the fun away from the challenge when you have kids and adults, shouting them out. Maybe the business could hang a sign or something to suggest this? The very back row has vines with thorns, so we needed to use a little caution in the area. They were out of the way of kids, at least. Affordable and nice way to sepnd about 30 min.

Absolutely fun and entertaining!! Never expected that we would enjoy the maze. Unfortunately we couldn't crack the full puzzle and solved partially which resulted in taking assistance from other people. But I definitely recommend this maze (it took 1 hour for me and my friend). It would take 20min for a brainy guys 😉. Lovely guy in the front who helped us (vegetarians) with first clue or else we would have stuck at 1st clue itself 🤭.

Great for up to a couple of hours entertainment in Bourton on the Water. Loved the puzzle. Well put together. Will go back with family and see if they can track the puzzle.

I had no expectations but came away with a big smile on my face having had such fun. Cute Maze with clues to find that enable you to see the beautiful dragonfly at the end for your efforts. One of the best features I thought though was Stuart, the 'gate keeper'. Such a great welcome, talented and funny man who made the whole experience a fun and exciting one.. Thank You Stuart....

Really loved the experience.. Enjoyed collecting the clues and finally solving the puzzle like a true achievement!! Highly recommend it..Good physical exercise and use of brain power😊🙂

Firstly, the bloke on the gate was a delight, pure morale and I was happy to give him my money. The maze was actually quite tricky, our 5 and 6 year olds loved finding the flag stones. The 'surprise' at the end was also quite cool, I wont ruin it for you.

Great place to visit & inexpensive. The model railways are fascinating & kept all of us, not least my grandson, highly entertained. Plenty of buttons to press to keep the trains moving. Toilets are a short walk away but there was no problem taking a desperate 3yr old out & letting him in again. Well worth the price.

Exhibition is currently closed due to Covid. The model railway shop is still open. Amazing selection of trains... Good section for young children too. Our four year old was delighted :) Will hopefully revisit when the exhibition is open in 2021

Didn't get to see the exhibit as when we arrived in the morning despite my asking about the exhibition I was ignored assumed things had changed despite the signs only discovered my error at the end of our day out when I went to get a train for my grandson and heard the assistant explaining to another customer that the exhibition was at the back of the shop. It was too late for us to go and look by this time as getting near bedtime for little one

Bit pricey on toys etc. Does not allow any photos to be taken in the museum which has certainly demoted it for me as other would like to see pics I'm sure. Small charge to enter museum and discount for carers avaliable.

Fantastic exhibition of three separate train tracks/scenes. We can easily spend a long time here controlling the trains and spotting new things.

Really superb layouts. In fact the best I've ever seen. Well worth a visit.

Didn't' go to the model railway but got ripped off in one of the pubs so will not be going back ever again.

This was a special little village. get there early to get parking! It was such a charming town! Loved the gift shops, pretty gardens and charming houses! I wish i could live here - the stuff dreams are made of! Definitely take an amble through this charming village!

Pleasant place, very crowded, a herd of people scurries everywhere, with a huge number of tea rooms; most of the attractions are contrived. Overall, the place leaves a positive impression though there is absolutely nothing to do.

Amazingly beautiful place… Everything feels like a movie scene… Very well maintained by the council and local people. I wish if every council could utilize their resources properly. Hats off to the local community.

Beautiful village, though the area by the water is heaving with individuals not social distancing. More could be done to ensure individuals are spaced out whilst enjoying themselves safely. Other than that, its a pretty little spot with lots of food options.

A wonderful place to visit and so tidy considering the high number of visitors, especially if the weather is good. But be warned if you park in one of the free parking spaces in town DON'T go over your allotted time because the traffic warden is on constant patrol.

It’s a lovely place to visit and to walk around the village. This place can get very crowded during summer months and parking would be an issue.

When you find the Visitor Information Centre here, you would know that you have already visited the scenic spots of Bourton-on-the-Water. I first explored the quiet Bourton-on-the-Water on August 28, 2017 (a bank holiday) around 8.00am. When I came again around 11.00am with my wife and our younger daughter after visited the relatively colourful Upper Slaughter, the Bourton-on-the Water had become very crowded and you would not feel like taking any photos except dogs-in-the-water!

Trevor was a delight!! Great experience all around. He was so knowledgeable about everything lagers and the tour itself was very insightful into the entire brewing process. The tour included 6 top off beers and a look at the entire operation. Highly recommended for any lager connoisseurs.

A fantastic tour! The tasting is *extremely* generous with 2/3rds pints for all 4 larger and a cider, or designated drivers can have smaller measures and take some bottles home with them. The tour guide was also really friendly and knowledgeable about the history and process. Would definitely recommend

Have visited the brewery a few times in the past year. The atmosphere is great, all staff are great and there's a real chilled vibe with plenty of seating inside and out. I believe during the summer they open up the tent and it becomes one big area. Great selection to choose from. A must visit if you're in the area. Only a 20 min walk from Bourton if you can't get a taxi. It's well worth the trip.

Called in to pick up some supplies. I knew this when it was Cotswold brewery, but I do enjoy the Hawkstone range (well worth a try). The staff were all polite and the bar area was busy and everyone appeared to be enjoying themselves, and socialising. I'd already eaten at this point, but had I not then the smell from the wood fire pizza stand would have tempted me. Left, with a full mixed case of lagers and ciders. 👍

The hawkstone arms has indoor and out door seating. You can do tours of the brewery if you wish. There is plenty of seating and a shop. The bar a selection of beers to choose from. The toilets are round the back. Plenty of parking. The only reason i didn't stay longer is because there was a really strong diesel fume smell which stunk inside and out which seemed like a generator or something, this may not bother some people but me it was just to powerful.

HIGHLY OVER-RATED... The brewery runs transport from the centre of Bourton-on-the-water on the hour from 1pm to 5pm (so look out for the Pullman's minibus), returning on the half hour except for the last trip (5pm), which is oddly one way. Unfortunately we did not realize that you needed to book a tour of the actual brewery online before hand, so we were only able to sample the lagers and a single cider ( no real ales) at the shop. The Hawkstone cider is very easy on the old palette and we were happy to buy some to take home.

Definitely worth the stop! It wasn’t crowded at all! Had great beers and a great conversation with Paul. Grabbed some stuff to remember it by and a bottle of the new vodka! Can’t wait to get it back home and pour a few.

Impressive brewery indeed. Jeremy Clarkson's wit shines through the unique signs here, adding a humorous touch. The draft beers are a league above bottled ones, and it's fantastic to see this place growing. The spacious venue offers ample cozy seating and merchandise. The attentive staff enhanced the overall experience. The larger beer is a standout, and the IPA is enjoyable. Expanding to the closed-down pub across the road would be a brilliant idea. Adding heat lamps for the colder months would be a nice touch.

First time at the Brewery even though it was February it was still open. Very muddy roads leading up to it but the beer was calling. It's a working Brewery so busy, inside the plastic tent is a selection of wooden benches, chairs, sofas and a music area made out of wooden pallets. Not much money has been spent on doing the place up and even though it was a cold day they had no heaters inside. Basic place with a makeshift shop. Glad we tried it out but not rushing back to it. The toilets are funny, made out if old beer kegs, very smart idea.

Highly recommend a visit. Lovely pop up pub. Went in the cold and rain and was warm enough in the tent. Great atmosphere, staff friendly and of course the beer is great. Decent selection to choose from and flights are available for sample, although these are half’s. Toilet facilities basic but can make do.

Attended the Brewery last Saturday with Nigel as the tour guide. Nigel was great, very knowledgeable and interactive. Wasn’t expecting so many samples but no complaints from me. All were very nice as a non- lager drinker before. Bought a good selection to take home on top of the drivers package bottles you get if you don’t drink full pints during the tour. Booking the tour was easy (after Buy a gift stopped being involved - they are not so great) Hawkstone were helpful and had us booked on the tour after an email.

Great afternoon out 🍻🍻 Our host, Nigel took us through the brewing process of each beer we tried and gave us generous tasting opportunities throughout the tour. Given the option of full pints or half pints for the drivers in the group. Those drinking half pints were then given some to take home, the tour was great value for money plus we was given 10% for anything we purchased after including drinks at the bar. A very enjoyable tour, even for those not interested in the beer tasting. Nigel made the tour informative and engaging for all. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area whether you are a beer drinker or not! If not attending the tour there is also live music and a food truck that arrives at the weekend which provided a lovely atmosphere for a sit down and drink in the bar area.

A great tour with a knowledgeable guide, really great beer and awesome for my birthday treat early. Also I am going to be a Hawkstonian for good events in advance as well as purchasing good quality beer. Thank you to staff at Hawkstone I will be back!!

We visited the tap room on a Monday afternoon. Loads of choice on the beers and ciders on offer and some options for those that don't like beer or cider. The tap room tent was well heated with plenty of room. We didn't do the tour, but if you do you might want to pre-book the tickets.

A beautiful old church with plenty of history and kept very well with some new additions. There is a lovely little church yard attached with a place for reflection worth a visit for some quiet reflection.

Quaint old church. The interior has been restored, but the best part to view is the grounds with all the old, worn, lichen-covered head stones and markers.

Went to a family Christening. The vicar was absolutely lovely, making it a special service for the small people too. The Church is beautiful, after a fairly recent update. It's loveliness in It's simplicity. The Chancel ceiling was just beautiful, as is the screen. The whole atmosphere is calm and serene, yet welcoming. A wonderful place for some quiet contemplation or simply an interesting place to visit.

I bought a vintage ironstone plate by Masons. The price was right and the plate is good quality with no chips or cracks. I would have given this place a 5-star review, if not for the saleswoman. I casually mentioned to her that having bubble wrap handy would be nice, because that would bring more business from their international visitors. This comment rubbed her the wrong way. She rudely escorted me out the door, and locked up behind with some irritated gesturing and commentary. Strange place.

I ask everyone to boycott this shop! I went into have a browse and was gob smacked when i saw a piece of pottery of a black figure obviously depicting the old and distasteful "black and white minstrels".. the sales label wrote "Impressed Jolly N****r Bank, on the back" I was in total shock and immediately told you owner and asked him to remove it!!! without looking me in the eye he said "he only displays what people want to sell"!!!. I am of jamaican heritage and found it appalling that in this day and age the owner and seller of the item thought it acceptable to display and sell such a deeply racist item! it needs smashing into a million pieces! and the shop boycotted, named and shamed!!!!! very very upsetting day!

I actually live in Bourton, I have visited often and have brought a few items, but won't step foot in there from now on. I was browsing today while my partner was outside with a rowdy 3 year old. He got told he couldn't sit on the seats outside. Even though I was inside! Absolutely ridiculous. They expect locals to support small businesses when the tourists aren't about though!

Visited here yesterday with my daughter. We were in the shop when the lights were suddenly turned off. A member of staff walked past me having locked the front door and turned the sign on the door to ‘closed’, they didn’t even acknowledge that I was there. Very random, I will not be returning. It was 3.50pm, there were no times to indicate when the shop would close

We often go to Bourton on the water just to visit this shop. My wife always seems to find the particular trinket she is looking for. Well worth popping in.

An interesting centre with lots of different antiques and collectables to peruse. There is a small cafe area but not used on this visit so unable to comment on quality. Not far from main street so easy to find.

Did not use the tea room as we were booked elsewhere for lunch. Shop was very interesting. Lots of different items for sale. Very well laid out and clean.

The cafe is now closed down unfortunately due to lack of customers luckily they have made this wonderful milkshake machine with the local milk! There's also a dairy and egg vending machine and a coffee and hot chocolate machine it's all very clean and yummy xx

The bronze age house has a history board on the exteriors, so it's not essential to get arranged entry. The (modern day) dairy farm is mostly honey stone buildings with small parts that are covered in clapboard sidings. Also you see the cows can pass freely between the barn and the meadows, through a body motion sensory door.

Very good facilities and information room. Clear and informative walking trails; friendly team. Well worth a visit. Park in town car park near Coop and walk up to reserve.

Not worth for family with small children out of season. No car parking, shop closed, toilets closed. Fair enough, it doesn't open until May. Then going for a walk: iron age house replica closed (we didn't expect to be able to go in it but you can only look from afar through a locked fence). Maybe a picnic by the lake as we've seen photos of a lake and water with stepping stones? Eh, no. The lake is private property with a fenced off path alongside it, you cant sit anywhere or get anywhere close to the lake, it was like walking in a prison alley. And where are the stepping stones? At the top end of the map, our kids could have never gotten there. So we walked through a few fields with nothing much to see. However, a nice greenish retreat if you're looking to escape busy Bourton on the water, plus the farm is ok

Found this hidden gem on a walk back to the car from Bourton on the Water. Absolutely beautiful walking paths, steeped in history along the way. Several small walks, ideal for all ages in the beautiful Cotswold countryside. Very quiet when we visited. The cafe was shut, but I imagine it was very busy during opening hours and school holidays. Cattle grazing in nearby sheds, very peaceful after the crowds in the town center. A real hidden gem. The path that leads to the reserve is opposite the Co-op supermarket. Well worth a visit after the town center.

Beautiful views, steeped in history. A great learning experience and exposure to nature.

My whole family loved the walk to the farm. Far away from the crowds, just fields and a beautiful farm, saw lots of rabbits and the lake is gorgeous.

Just a short walk from the town centre this place is a breath of fresh air. Alas Bourton-on-the-Water is just such a tourist magnet, the place can get over-run with visitors. Greystones provided a place of calm nearby with very few visitors. Several circular trails you can do, one leading up to the lake, another out into open fields.

Lovely place for a walk. Dog friendly on a lead as they have free roaming cows. The picture I put up of a tree Is my favourite tree in this nature reserve. The whole tree sings. Full of birds.

Really nice nature reserve with lots to see and do. Tranquil and invigorating and stunning views.watch out for the horse flies though
