We had a visit as a team event with a private viewing and I loved the Dali museum. His paintings and the many layers needed loads of time to absorb and many details. Sadly we only had 40 minutes but so interesting and quirky which I love.

When there are a lot of people, it can feel crowded. Nonetheless, it's worth a visit if you are in Barcelona for at least 3 nights. Also, no need to go there with a tour company, as it's readily accessible by train out of Barcelona for a fairly inexpensive price, and a 15-20 mins walk from the train station. If you like Dali you will find this museum interesting. I took the guided tour in English and learned some interesting details that you do not get just from wandering around. Amazing experience! Went on a Saturday and we had pre booked fast track tickets. There was no wait time and the museum is very easy to find and get to from the train station. We spent more than 3 hours and felt we could easily do 3 more. Its a magical experience that allows you to be a part of Dali’s world. Well, what else can be said about this sublime museum? Dali designed and set it all up and you can tell as much upon entering and the ensuing adventure within. I visited in May 2016 when the weather was beautiful. The train from Barcelona doesn’t take too long and is cheap enough. The train I got took around 2 hours and cost around 20 Euro’s return. The museum ticket was 14 Euro’s but this may have changed. The crowds were spread out so things didn’t get too claustrophobic and you can go off in pretty much any direction you wish. It’s definitely not your conventional journey inside a museum. My visit was made more fun after meeting a recently divorced American lady who sold everything up and decided to back pack around Europe. She has been a Dali fan since high school and this was one of her major stops along her travels. It was quite exciting to see someone from the other side of the world enjoying the museum like a child enjoys Christmas morning. The shop was nice but could have had a little more on offer. I did pick up a lovely poster for the collection but there wasn’t a lot on offer which was a shame. There are few museums around Europe that offer an experience of this kind. Now we are getting back to more regular travel, I would suggest you make The Dali Museum a high priority.

Difficult to put into words. If you like Dali’s work, given he designed this Museum - this is almost a religious experience. Be sure to visit the Dali Jewels exhibition just beyond the Museum gift shop, included with your ticket. Well worth the trip to the beautiful town Figueres.

The Dali museum was well worth the hassle of traveling to Figueres from Barcelona. It's a short walk (15 min) from the train station. We arrived late for our reservation due to us taking longer than expected on the train. They allowed us to come in only because there were open spaces in the next time slot but I highly recommend reserving tickets ahead of time. The museum is I think about 3 floors and ascends in a circular manner. It's extremely crowded in the afternoon so perhaps an early time slot is more comfortable. It was difficult to admire all the works due to the crowds but that was to be expected. If you're debating on coming here, take the plunge. I am a big fan of his artwork and to witness one of his greatest masterpieces, including his tomb was very gratifying.

Came on one of the busiest weekends mid August. The place was full of tourists, but even then we still had some luck with waiting outside the two nearby indoor parkings for around 10 minutes to be able to park. We walked up over to the ticket counter and bought the tickets to get access in the next 10 minutes. It was around 2:30pm when we got in. The place is a bit of a maze but it honestly fits with the vibe of Dali's art. Despite it being packed, the rest of the tourists were respectful of space and it was a generally nice visit. The art, of course, is amazing - a definite must visit.

We were blown away by the intricate details and senses-evoking exhibits and experience that this museum had provided. As a Dali fan, it was a visual and thought-provoking feast! Even my companions of non-dali fans were easily converted into one after going through the works and installation.

Loved the pictures with Dali himself painting what we can actually see in the room. Only bémol would be the app. If you take a picture with your phone, the app starts from scratch when relaunched… it takes too long. That’s definitely one of the most underestimated landmarks I’ve ever been to. It’s the largest military facility / fortress in Europe. For sure the Dalí museum is the heart of Figueres but this place is fantastic. It’s only 20 mins on foot from the museum. There is a parking available. You can find so many interesting spots like the fortress walls, living pavilions, some ruins, amazing underground tunnels and buildings (stables). It’s breathtaking. Also there is an indescribable view of the mountains and the valley. It costs just 5 euros per person. There are lots of events you may be interested in. Just check their website. One of the reason I will come back is that there is an underground water supply with 9 million litres of pure water. It’s a must to explore. You can take a self guided tour through the castle with a detailed enough map.

Entrance fee was 4,5 euros. It is huge. It will take you around 1-2 hours to look around all the site. Amazing.

We did the water cathedral safari and we absolutely loved it!!! The guides were very nice and the fortress was beautiful and very very big. And then the boats - it was such a unique experience. Would absolutely recommend:)

Castell de Sant Ferran is a stunning peice of building architecture. It's a great place to help understand the history of the region, and a beautiful place to see the areas around. Upon entering you can enter an explanation video in different languages. And you can walk with a map through the numberd sites each one has a short explanation. It was really nice to go around and see the biggest stronghold in the European continent.

Nice castle, it is pretty big, we spent there an hour walking slowly and checking everything what was in the map given at the ticket office, the entry ticket is only 4 euro for adults and free for kids up to 9 years old

No photos, can do this place justice. It is truly immense and utterly awesome. €5 per adult to enter. However, I can't recommend the guided tour enough. It costs €16 per adult, but the extra information given by Enric is well worth every cent. First up the tour of the above ground areas, in one of the 7 open top vintage Land Rovers, aka "the Aston Martin". Followed by the boat tour of one of the 4 underground water cisterns. Then we got to wander around the complex on our own. 32 Hectares in total, with a 3 km perimeter. Incredible. According to the internet, the fortress of Sant Feran, is the largest fort in Europe and I can well believe it. It has to be seen to be believed. Enric's sense of humour really made the trip for us. We loved it. 💜🤟

Cool views of the area but could use more information and historical anecdotes. For example, in the stables a sign would read ‘this is an old stable where they housed 500 cavalry horses.” Felt very minimal. The cafeteria was very nice though!

This is a very cool fort. Its incredible how big it is. It has a commanding view over the surrounding area..you need about 1hr to do the self walking tour..

Wonderful watertour with the jeep. Christina was our guide, and she did the trip in English. We loved the visit, learned more about the defence of this Castell.

If in Figueres, definitely worth the visit up here. We just did the normal visit but there is also a guided tour which I hear is amazing. Unfortunately this was closed when we went due to Corona. But still, it is a great visit with a rich history and great viewpoints. Entrance was 4eu per adult and you get a pamphlet that walks you through the various areas. If you have the time, don't skip this.

A surprising large fort, needing at least an hour to walk along the numbered route. You get a map with the tickets which lists the numbered points on the self-guided tour. There is an audiovisual in a room on the left of the entry walkway which will be better to watch before you walk, not after like most visitors.

What a wonderful experience was visiting the museum! Hundreds of toys from many epoques carefully exposed. Some of them, reminded me of my infancy. What a joy! And the staff was really kind. It was awesome. You won't regret a tour through their three floors full of beautiful toys.

Robots, cars and aeroplanes amazing. Some of the older dolls are a little disconcerting. Eyes that follow you....

Brilliant! I came here with the kids more with them in mind but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Pretty much every style of you you can think of and some more besides.

A peaceful church to visit after you have been to the Dali Museum. This is where Salvador Dali was baptised. It has a simplistic yet effective structure inside and a good place to stay cool and mediate.

This church in Figueres was where Salvador Dali was baptised and probably worth visiting especially if following a trail of Salvador Dali's life. The church has been around since the 10th century. Probably originally built in Romanesque, it's now in a mix of Romanesque, Gothic and Neoclassical. Inside, it's a fairly simple church, with a very simple alter of plain unadorned wall and only a statue of Jesus set into the recess of the back wall of the alter. The octagonal rool just above the alter is also very pretty as are the three rose windows. Worthwhile seeing if in Figueres.

We had a visit as a team event with a private viewing and I loved the Dali museum. His paintings and the many layers needed loads of time to absorb and many details. Sadly we only had 40 minutes but so interesting and quirky which I love.

My favorite painter. Amazing and so special experience. He was definitely something more than human, painter, artist.. Words are fading when I am trying to explain.. The day I will remember.. if you are staying for few hours here..it would be little. Here you can feel him and the way he was sharing his world with others and showing them what he wanted them to see. Such an exquisite soul. All recommends, unique experience.

Pure magic! It deserves to spend the whole morning visiting and interpreting all the masterpieces of such a great artist! I strongly recommend to hire a guided tour or to use an audioguide to help yourself understand the meaning of all the items exposed as well as to discover the hidden images and secrets of the pictures.

Really 4.5. It is a unique and interesting museum, but it didn't sweep me off my feet. For one thing, it's not very large. And it doesn't contain some of Dali's best works. When there are a lot of people, it can feel crowded. Nonetheless, it's worth a visit if you are in Barcelona for at least 3 nights. Also, no need to go there with a tour company, as it's readily accessible by train out of Barcelona for a fairly inexpensive price, and a 15-20 mins walk from the train station. The town of Figueres is also cute, so it's worth strolling through it a bit.

Probably the main attraction of Figueres. It is possible and recommended to purchase tickets online in advance. The museum is splendid, with the peculiarity that, by Dali's own will, there is no predetermined route, and everyone is free to visit it in their own way. More explanations regarding the exhibited content would have probably made the visit even more interesting, but it remains an overall splendid experience.

If you like Dali you will find this museum interesting. I took the guided tour in English and learned some interesting details that you do not get just from wandering around. You need to plan ahead to get a guided tour. I had to wait 2 days for the English tour. I have included some of my surrealist photography that was inspired by Dali.

Amazing experience! Went on a Saturday and we had pre booked fast track tickets. There was no wait time and the museum is very easy to find and get to from the train station. We spent more than 3 hours and felt we could easily do 3 more. Its a magical experience that allows you to be a part of Dali’s world. The museum is a work of art inside and outside and definitely worth a visit. Highly recommend

Well, what else can be said about this sublime museum? Dali designed and set it all up and you can tell as much upon entering and the ensuing adventure within. I visited in May 2016 when the weather was beautiful. The train from Barcelona doesn’t take too long and is cheap enough. The train I got took around 2 hours and cost around 20 Euro’s return. The museum ticket was 14 Euro’s but this may have changed. The crowds were spread out so things didn’t get too claustrophobic and you can go off in pretty much any direction you wish. It’s definitely not your conventional journey inside a museum. My visit was made more fun after meeting a recently divorced American lady who sold everything up and decided to back pack around Europe. She has been a Dali fan since high school and this was one of her major stops along her travels. It was quite exciting to see someone from the other side of the world enjoying the museum like a child enjoys Christmas morning. The shop was nice but could have had a little more on offer. I did pick up a lovely poster for the collection but there wasn’t a lot on offer which was a shame. There are few museums around Europe that offer an experience of this kind. Now we are getting back to more regular travel, I would suggest you make The Dali Museum a high priority.

The Dali museum was well worth the hassle of traveling to Figueres from Barcelona. It's a short walk (15 min) from the train station. We arrived late for our reservation due to us taking longer than expected on the train. They allowed us to come in only because there were open spaces in the next time slot but I highly recommend reserving tickets ahead of time. The museum is I think about 3 floors and ascends in a circular manner. It's extremely crowded in the afternoon so perhaps an early time slot is more comfortable. It was difficult to admire all the works due to the crowds but that was to be expected. If you're debating on coming here, take the plunge. I am a big fan of his artwork and to witness one of his greatest masterpieces, including his tomb was very gratifying.

Came on one of the busiest weekends mid August. The place was full of tourists, but even then we still had some luck with waiting outside the two nearby indoor parkings for around 10 minutes to be able to park. We walked up over to the ticket counter and bought the tickets to get access in the next 10 minutes. It was around 2:30pm when we got in. The place is a bit of a maze but it honestly fits with the vibe of Dali's art. Despite it being packed, the rest of the tourists were respectful of space and it was a generally nice visit. The art, of course, is amazing - a definite must visit.

A dream finally came true! Finally had the chance to visit Dalí Theatre. We stayed in Barcelona so we had to visit the Museum. I recommend you to get your tickets in advance online. I won’t describe my experience which was great 😊 just have a look at the photos and videos! outstanding

We were blown away by the intricate details and senses-evoking exhibits and experience that this museum had provided. As a Dali fan, it was a visual and thought-provoking feast! Even my companions of non-dali fans were easily converted into one after going through the works and installation.

Really interesting display. Interactive and fun. We tried not to get lost, many things to see. Quite sure we missed a few! Loved the pictures with Dali himself painting what we can actually see in the room. Only bémol would be the app. If you take a picture with your phone, the app starts from scratch when relaunched… it takes too long. Easy to park nearby - we added a nice walk downtown with small Christmas market.

Very interesting to walk and look around the huge museum of quirky and fascinating artwork and experience. You don’t have to love art to have a great time and enjoy this museum. It’s a fun place to experience with friends and family and you can spend a lot of time just talking about it. Each artwork is so unique and eye catching - some are huge installations, some play with the architecture of the building, others require a second look to unravel the overall picture. There are so many hidden features in each area, depending on where you are looking from, something could look entirely different. It’s a museum unlike any other, where every wall and corner would have something special. Each artwork would have an artist statement and description, explaining the intention and meaning behind the piece, making it so much more interesting and easy to appreciate. Some art pieces are absolutely incredible in terms of their visual qualities like the choice of colour, the fine details, the overall composition. Included in the ticket, is a nearby building a few steps away from the museum, where there are artworks made of precious gems and jewels. Each piece was simply stunning - bedazzled in colourful gems, each work had a peculiar structure and form.

A must visit! I was very delighted with what I saw. There is one drawback - you may not get to the museum immediately as soon as you arrive in Figueres, due to the huge influx of tourists to the museum, as well as others who want to visit it, so I recommend purchasing tickets online in advance. We bought tickets at about 11.30 and got to the museum only at 16.15.

Amazing experience. If you are in the area this is a 'must do' even if you aren't into the work of Salvador Dali. This fascinating museum is all the more incredible given the fact that the great man conceived and created it himself during his lifetime.

I am glad that I had a chance to attend a true performance within this Museum. Walking through its labyrinth evokes so many emotions, thoughts and feelings. I think everyone should visit it at least once. You may like or dislike it. But it will touch your heart for sure.

Dali was pure genius and going to the museum was one of the highlights of my trip to Spain. Worth it to take a guide since they don't have audio guides. Do yourself a favor and go to the Dali museum.

Senora Magrita(don't know if I spell her name correctly) guided us through the whole museum for more than an hour, such a pity that I dont speak Espanyol nor French, but can feel her passion and love towards these collections, besides each collection has a brief intro in multiple languages includnig English. This musem y Dali y toy museum are three places we enjoyed most. Gotta take another visit here if I'm back to Figueres in the future.

That’s definitely one of the most underestimated landmarks I’ve ever been to. It’s the largest military facility / fortress in Europe. For sure the Dalí museum is the heart of Figueres but this place is fantastic. It’s only 20 mins on foot from the museum. There is a parking available. You can find so many interesting spots like the fortress walls, living pavilions, some ruins, amazing underground tunnels and buildings (stables). It’s breathtaking. Also there is an indescribable view of the mountains and the valley. It costs just 5 euros per person. There are lots of events you may be interested in. Just check their website. One of the reason I will come back is that there is an underground water supply with 9 million litres of pure water. It’s a must to explore. You can take a self guided tour through the castle with a detailed enough map.

Entrance fee was 4,5 euros. It is huge. It will take you around 1-2 hours to look around all the site. Amazing.

We did the water cathedral safari and we absolutely loved it!!! The guides were very nice and the fortress was beautiful and very very big. And then the boats - it was such a unique experience. Would absolutely recommend:)

Castell de Sant Ferran is a stunning peice of building architecture. It's a great place to help understand the history of the region, and a beautiful place to see the areas around. Upon entering you can enter an explanation video in different languages. And you can walk with a map through the numberd sites each one has a short explanation. It was really nice to go around and see the biggest stronghold in the European continent.

Nice castle, it is pretty big, we spent there an hour walking slowly and checking everything what was in the map given at the ticket office, the entry ticket is only 4 euro for adults and free for kids up to 9 years old

No photos, can do this place justice. It is truly immense and utterly awesome. €5 per adult to enter. However, I can't recommend the guided tour enough. It costs €16 per adult, but the extra information given by Enric is well worth every cent. First up the tour of the above ground areas, in one of the 7 open top vintage Land Rovers, aka "the Aston Martin". Followed by the boat tour of one of the 4 underground water cisterns. Then we got to wander around the complex on our own. 32 Hectares in total, with a 3 km perimeter. Incredible. According to the internet, the fortress of Sant Feran, is the largest fort in Europe and I can well believe it. It has to be seen to be believed. Enric's sense of humour really made the trip for us. We loved it. 💜🤟

Cool views of the area but could use more information and historical anecdotes. For example, in the stables a sign would read ‘this is an old stable where they housed 500 cavalry horses.” Felt very minimal. The cafeteria was very nice though!

This is a very cool fort. Its incredible how big it is. It has a commanding view over the surrounding area..you need about 1hr to do the self walking tour..

Wonderful watertour with the jeep. Christina was our guide, and she did the trip in English. We loved the visit, learned more about the defence of this Castell.

If in Figueres, definitely worth the visit up here. We just did the normal visit but there is also a guided tour which I hear is amazing. Unfortunately this was closed when we went due to Corona. But still, it is a great visit with a rich history and great viewpoints. Entrance was 4eu per adult and you get a pamphlet that walks you through the various areas. If you have the time, don't skip this.

A surprising large fort, needing at least an hour to walk along the numbered route. You get a map with the tickets which lists the numbered points on the self-guided tour. There is an audiovisual in a room on the left of the entry walkway which will be better to watch before you walk, not after like most visitors.

Nice to See from outside, both front and back side. But it is obviously closed actually, as the building is transformed into a museum.

If you’re in the area it’s worth walking by… not much to see not much to do but it’s cool history.

This building was the residence of the Dalí family when the great Salvador was born. Not the entire building of course, just at number 6 on the ground floor where Salvador Dalí's family had a notary. Today it's a private building not accessible to the general public. There's a plaque outside to commemorate the birth of Salvador Dali in 1904. Not much to see really, but worthwhile visiting as a part of a Salvador Dali trail.

Amazing and interesting place. We thought we knew a lot about Dali but discovered so much more. Audio guide was excellent, you move from room to room and scene to scene in his life. Staff were really great and helpful. Thoroughly recommend this attraction. Booking advised as spaces are limited.

Fantastic exhibition of Dali's youth and subsequent career. Individual commentary with headsets. You must book as the tour is conducted in small groups. Never crowded as a result. Some appropriately quirky items in the small gift shop.

Very interactive museum with super friendly and helpful staff. The installations were very visually stimulating and lots of interesting history on Dali’s life. Definitely a museum to check out while you’re here.

A super interesting audio visual experience which compliments the other Dali museums nearby , I think they could do something a bit more interesting with the roof terrace at the end of the tour, there is nothing there. maybe something to provide a photo opportunity
