It’s one of the best castles in south of Sweden. Good part is, they have guides included in tickets itself. The guides are hired by castle and they wear ancient clothes belonging to that time and look really pretty. Guides don’t rush and explain all the things which are right now present and which were destroyed by time. Except castle, there is not much in Kalmar city.

Really good exhibition of the Swedish Kings. Perfect for kids. The cost starts after the shop. So feel free to look around on the wall surrounding the castle. Inside was the most impressive digital Monet exhibition. Definitely recommend to go there.

I went there twice 9 years apart. Great views and scope for good walks. Earlier i remember seeing Ölandsbron but due to new buildings I couldnt see them.

Very nice castle. Nice tour, also in english. A lot of kids animation, there are people dressed in original clothes and knight fights in a small arena. A visit will take about 2 hours, maybe more if you want...

The entry fee was around 180 SEK. It is a nice place but would definitely recommend having a lot of time in hand if you are going to spend this much money. When I went there the weather was bad but apart from that it was a good experience.

Brilliant, if you ever come to Sweden you visit Kalmar and it's castle, very well preserved castle with a fascinating history, we could do with more like this in the UK. I particularly liked the guides dressed in costume.

Kalmar is one of the most enigmatic castles to visit. Much of the beauty is in the natural surroundings. The castle faces the Baltic sea. The water keeps it calm & dreamy. From the parking area, you first walk through a grave site that feels more like an immaculate garden with very tall trees. Even the courtyard inside the castle was vibrant & charming. Overall, every angle of this place is picturesque. It wasn't as touristy as expected. Spend a day here & enjoy the peace.

It's really interesting. The staff dressed in Tudor clothes. Information panels in Swedish and English. Only half an hour to spare, so they let us in for half price. Models of the castle at different times in history.

Not a very impressive church and not very much information available. Churchgoers and priest was very friendly though. They have a little area for children to paint and play, which is nice.

Nice, if small, cathedral in the center of Kalmar. It was free to go in and was worth the 10-minute stop.

It’s a kids museum. Don’t come here excepting adult stuff. And it’s based on the “Krönan” ship reck. My daughter really enjoyed the children’s play room. A very hands on playroom, where you could touch everything. The playroom was fairly big and it occupied an entire floor. And everything was in operating order. In terms of the rest of the museum. One floor is devoted to the recovery of the ship, the Kronan, and included a nice guided tour. The museum cafe was decent and it meet our needs. Fairly quick. Staff was nice. Food was good. This is a kid oriented museum and would recommend going there.

Beautiful place for a walk, and a cafe to warm up, drink some hot tea and try Swedish snacks. Very soothing and relaxing to spend time with family and the local animals.

It is one of our favourite places in Kalmar. They have a rabbit hotel where you can leave your bunny in their care if you can't arrange a caretaker in your absence. Send them a mail to enquire about the availability and booking. There's a petting area where you can pet their rabbits and hamsters. Other than rabbits, they also have chickens, goats, cows, horses, pigs, and geese. They've a huge park where families gather during summer and autumn to play and eat (BBQ). There's a frisbee ground (discgolfbana) nearby.

The modern look of this art museum is a very interesting addition to Kalmar. We went there during an ongoing renovation so we were only able to see a single exhibit but with a very generous souvenir. Hoping to see it again next time with more exhibits.

The exposition was awful, however this review is of the museum itself; confusing and maze-like access to different gallery areas and no smoking allowed in the toilets - hold on, there were no toilets or smoking - that was just part of the expo. Elevator +1 star!

Really love this museum! I could spend hours here alone in the library where they have tons of books featuring modern art from everywhere. Their exhibitions are also really provoking and interesting. Entrance is free for those 19 years and younger... So I will be coming back!

Amazingly big place, a whole barn full of Dinosaurs in three floors. The exhibits are creative and immersive with the Dinosaurs in their right element, some are still some move. Almost scary with the bigger ones in low light with movement and sounds, not for the faint of heart. Interesting exhibit of bones and fossils and a nice shop in the end. Dont care to much of the chine cloned lego though.

A World of Dinosaurs is truly something extra! Hidden in a huge barn outside Kalmar city nothing could prepare me for what I was about to see. The number of dinosaurs, and the scale of the exhibition, is truly amazing. As an adult I'm struck by awe at the sheer size of these dinosaur. And my kids are ecstatic! Dad, look!!! What's that dinosaurs' name? And so on. That is until we enter the area with moving dinosaurs. Then they wanna hold my hand and stay pretty quiet for a while. Being a dad is amazing. At the end we shop dinosaur souvenirs and toys in the store at great value. This was our forth visit. See you soon again!

Really cool place and I LOVE dinos, but I was a little confused about the fossiles in the beginning. I don't think they are real because the teeth and everything were in too good condition to be real. But some of the fossiles were real. What I want so say is that I think they should write which fossiles are real and which are fake. The experience was really fun and interesting.

It is arranged entirely along one long one-way track, which helps simplify things although it means you can't easily return to look at earlier exhibits. The animatronics might be a bit intense for smaller children, and their noises somewhat loud at times, but not too bad. Note that toilets are only available at the entrance. Ample free outdoor parking available (in a field).

Our 3 kids (10,12&14) enjoyed the utilities while mama&daddy relaxed in the welness area 🌿☀️🤩 in-between we checked on them to make sure its all fine, but then we fast returned to the relax area, took a dry sauna, cold shower and had a 🍹on the beach, fantastic! 🌟🌟🌟🌟

There is a big playground full of balls on spongy floor, its safe to jump and run. Alot of climbing and fun activities. You can orgabise a birthday party for your kid in special room. Tasty quick bites cafe with sweets options. Don't forget to take off your shoes at the entrance, so make sure u wear fresh socks. : )

My children loves playing in the pit full of balls! They were so well behaved so i took them to the ninja fortnite head quarters and bought them v-bucks, let's gooooooooooo, we're skipping school tomorrow, floss.
