It's a great place. But you need to walk barefoot. Anyway, it's a great feeling walking on clay. There are two entries. U can use both. Up there is Cleopatra antique pool, museum, and antique city. You can eat also there but expensive. And down there some Chinese, Japanese, and Indian restaurants. If you come here at midday there is a queue but earlier in the morning no wait.

If you are not there, you will never feel the same. The place is so beautiful. Is natural beautiful that unbelievable. Although it is hot due to open air. But it is worth your walk on the thermal pools. It feels so fantastic. Like the scenery there a lot, pictures taken was very nice. A lot of people are sitting in the thermal, enjoying the moment. If you walk to the end. Is really far. We not managed to do it, because hot sun. Anyway, like it a lot.

This place is breathtakingly beautiful. With the rolling hills in the background and fluffy clouds in the distance, ancient ruins surrounding the area, you are transported to another realm it seems. The water is lukewarm and the pools are clean and clear. Water is just knee high so it’s a pleasure to just wade around and get your feet wet. Some areas were closed off for cleaning. Quite a few photographers available to take memorable pics. Be sure to take a dip in Cleopatra’s pool. Water temperature is a little hotter. You can literally smell and taste the minerals in the water. The bottom of the pool is filled with loose pebbles and columns that collapsed in ancient times. Excellent setup for swimming with lockers and changing rooms easily accessible at a cost of 130 Turkish Lira. Most importantly, don’t forget to take a walk through the poppy fields up to Hades gate.

Amazing but chaotic place to visit, it was crowded when we visited on a Sunday morning. We only walked in one pool, it was slippery in some places and a bit rough on the feet in others. I never felt comfortable with so many people around. Walking around the path to look back at the travertines and over the valley was worthwhile.

We drove 3.5 hours to visit this place. Initially we were afraid that this place would not live up to our expectations, as the pictures looked so incredible. The site rents electric golf carts to make transport around this huge areal easier. There are also great swimming opportunities, in addition to all the sights. Highly recommended.

Fabulous place to visit, spend the day swimming in the thermal pools, or explore the ancient ruins. Be adventurous and take a sunrise hot air balloon ride or go paragliding! Beautiful Türkiye... I have fallen in love with you 🥰

Totally worth a visit. We were there at 7am from the south entrance. There were people but few. The best looking pools are off limit to the visitors. Only pictures can be clicked next to them. City of Heliopolis is a good place to visit as well.

Amazing place. We have been in January, we entered from the village gate and the water down was cold. So you need to go up barefoot to find a warm source of water ) I think January is a nice time to visit as there are not so many tourists. Especially, after travertines it is so nice to swim in Cleopatra pool when the air is +12 and water inside the pool around 40-50 Celsius.

What a place. We arrived quite early so pretty much no one was there. The entrance fee is quite cheap. You do have to walk bear footed which does hurt a little but if you dip your feat in water it stops. The walk up is not too long and offers plenty of views of half filled pools. Once you get to the top you can see the main viewing point. Everything looks like snow and it looks quite cool in pictures.

Not what it was. You may have seen pictures from the past. It has since lost its natural water flow. However saying that I still thoroughly enjoyed it. Absolutely beautiful. The south gate currently opens at 0630. Go early before the crowds. We'll worth getting up early.

Very extraordinary. Shame though that price for foreigners is 700 TL and free for locals. Not very crowded out of season (November's Monday), especially if you use lower entrance. Bring warm socks (and swimsuit for Cleopathra pool), as we were allowed to walk in them and then remove them before entering hot springs section.

Well worth a visit to this ancient site.might take you a bit of travel time.But the.mineral pools are extra. It's a large scale site so a fair bit of walking is required. The Mineral/salt pools are an amazing and scenic view of nature itself. But take extreme care, it's very slippery to walk on. And nice sunset caps it off.

It's an archaeological expedition. People who love history or want to explore what had happened in the past could visit its vastness and explore everything around. My trip had started almost at 5am and had to hop around to pick people and then change a bus, so I guess I was tired by the time it was 3 in the afternoon. All in all its a great experience and one should at least do it once. I wouldn't think of it the 2nd time.

This was an amazing experience. The water feel great however, I do wish there was more of it. I would recommend going in the springtime and not summer. Don’t forget to explore the ruins and bring your own stuff so you don’t have to pay for overpriced water and snacks. I also recommend you start your day early. There are multiple entrances and its very easy to get in from all sides.

An unusual attraction to visit. The calcite hot spring pools looked stunning. The pools are the result of sedimentary rock deposited by mineral water from the hot springs. You can still wade around the travertine terraces, whose waters are said to have healing properties although the water did not feel special nor really warm.

It was absolutely beautiful. Very special and unique. Being in winter, the fog and mist added an extra layer of beauty to the entire site. Although the water levels in the pools were not as high as some of the older photos we found on the internet, the experience was very complete and more than satisfactory. It was definitely worth the visit for us. We truly enjoyed the morning.

Such an incredible area of natural beauty. When I visited in march it was VERY busy. I expect it gets even busier during the summer months! You have to remove your shoes to walk through the travertines. It can be very slippy and often painful underfoot so go slowly and carefully. The internet warned me that real life isn't quite like the pictures but this wasn't true. The water really is that blue! And so warm! Be sure to carry your shoes with you.

Visited in late January, so I imagine the place is a lot quieter than in the summer months. There is no queue to get in. Location is stunning and a must-see if visiting the region. The unique white cliffs and natural spa are unusual and very beautiful. You have to take your shoes off before walking in, and there are one or 2 slipper parts, so I wouldn't recommend running or walking too fast. Highly recommended.

great place to visit, a must if you're visiting turkey. It's better to go early, at 6:30 use the east entrance and go directly to pools. If you want to watch the sunset, check the time and synchronize...visit the whole area takes 4 hours

I couldn't help but admire their architectural prowess at that time. The buildings were bigger and more magnificent than I had imagined. After visiting Pamukkale, remember to take the time to explore this place thoroughly. It will be a completely different experience.

This is an incredible place of beauty. The ancient ruins were very quiet as most were exploring the travertines. The temple is well worth the climb up the steep hill in the heat! If you are a solo female traveller please be very careful. I wandered off alone to the Agora area and realised a man was following me. He then proceeded to do a lewd act. Luckily I was able to run away. When I told a security guard she didn't seem to think it was a big deal. My advice is to enjoy the ruins nearby other people you can trust. Such a shame as I thought this would be a safe place.

Absolutely amazing place to visit. It was quiet in late January, so not too many people about it. Beautiful location and surroundings and a must-see if in the region.

Hierapolis It's an old Roman city over the rocky area near Pamukkale. There are so many things but most of them are only pieces of rock and very difficult to understand unless guided by a good tour guide. There is an open air theater which is most commonly visited by tourists & other spots are not highlighted. There is also cleopatra’s pool where so many tourists take bath and swim.

Go early morning by say 8am to be the first there. Else parking becomes a problem and the pools get crowded. Get early to the pool and use the south gate which takes u to the top and near the good pools. Town entrance starts below and u have to walk up which is quite tiring on bare foot. Pay the buggy guys upfront but tell them to drop u at the pools first and come back for you later. You can call them on WhatsApp. Then take a liesurly one hour trip around the ruins and necropolis.

Great looking pools. Once in a lifetime experience. You can do unlimited swimming for the whole day from 9 am to 5 pm in the naturally steaming hot spring water in the winters only.

Prices for 2024 is a total ripoff. 850 Tl entry fee and another 200 Tl to swim in Cleopatra's pool. Water is being relayed to different sections, so only some the pools have water at a time. Sadly we had to give it a miss because of eyewatering prices.

100 L entrance to the pool and 10 L for locker hiring. I visited in November so the pool was not crowded but the pool is heated maybe up to 25-28 degrees. The pool was a bit dirty with all the algae floating and it was quite chlorinated. For an hour's swim it was okay.

This ancient pool was created by an earthquake in the 7th century. It is believed that Cleopatra swam in it, thus the name. Recommended to ask visitors to Hierapolis. The area surrounding the pool needs some improvements.

This is a miraculous place located inside the ruins of Hierapolis; modern day Pamukkale, Denizli. A naturally occurred swimming pool made from carbonate rich warm waters which shaped the travertine terraces of Pamukkale. Water here considered as therapeutic since the ancient times, and many come to not only enjoy but find remedy. This is truly an experience. Facilities are clean and nice. Food is good. Staff is very helpful. Highly recommended.

I liked our time here. We didn’t have swim suits, but it was so comfortable and nice sitting space. The water was beautiful and the coffee was good.

It is a small pool with different columns and big rock inside. The water was clear but some green grass float on it and it wasn't quite pleasant. It was an extra 8 euros the entrance.

This is a definite must while in Pumenkale. To think that you are swimming in the same waters where Cleopatra swam thousands of years ago is pure magic. Apparently the warm waters have healing properties.

Average hot spring. The saving Grace is that it’s in an ancient city and there’s ruins in the water giving it quite a interesting vibe. But I’m my opinion it’s too expensive and gets extremely crowded after 10 am. There’s also a lot of algae and moss floating in the waters. The water temperature was like warm with some areas warmer than others. I’ve been to better hot springs in my opinion but if you have never been to one and have 130 lira to spend, you might enjoy it. One thing to note is that once you go in you can’t leave the pool and come back again. There are lockers for your clothes and changing rooms. The lockers are a 20 lira deposit. There are also cold showers that you can use afterwards.

Wow! I can't even begin to describe how incredible this hot water pool is! It's absolutely amazing! The warmth of the water and the soothing sensation it provides are truly a delight. It's like a little slice of paradise right here. I feel so lucky to have the opportunity to experience such a wonderful creation. It's just pure bliss!

We came on Monday at lunch hour and styed in the park till closing. You have to pay to enter the park - if I remember it correct its 250 per adult or kid over 6 y.o. Its a SINGLE ENTRY whichmeans you cannot leave and reenter the same day. In the park there is ice cream srand, few restaurants and WC (in the Cleopatra pools area) If you want to visit Cleapatra baths you have topay extra ticket - 130TL adult ot kids vefor 12 y.o. just a little bit cheaper. Also 1 time entry. You cannot come out of the pool and come back again. Bring your own towel as here its only option to buy towel. Kids till 16 y.o. not allowed in the deeper area of pool where carbonated springs are coming from. Camera man will offer you to take pictures and then after you done with pool you can choose if you want any of them printed to buy. Also there is an angel wings you can take photo with. Cost an extra. Pool is not crowded even it is not big. Maybe because we went on monday in november. Temperature of water in the deeper end is warmer (maybe 38 C), in the rest of the pool around 36 C. Very comfortable when its cold outside.

The entrance was 150tl and, although not that expensive, in the end it adds up. It was quite crowded and because of that the water lost its quality and was a bit dirty and murky. But the area around was great for relaxation, as there are plenty of trees that offer shade in summer.

Best experience in turkey. I've spent 3 hours in there with my girlfriend. Take your own towels or buy one there. Flipflops are also welcome to avoid cold floor The water is unbelievably good. We came out so so relaxed...

What a stunning theatre! It was very complete and original compared to many that we have seen around Europe. This theatre is underrated in our opinion. It was a steep walk from the travertines, but there were other things to see along the way. It's definitely worth the visit.

Spectacular!!! Speechless!!! Gorgeous!! We took buggy car from south gate entrance. Even it was 10 am it was so hot to claim up. Buggy was around 300 lira, to see all historical sights.

Hierapolis Roman Theatre is truly one of the most stunning monuments in Hierapolis Archaeological Site. The view from top of it is relay amazing. The theatre still is in intact condition compared to other theatres in Turkey. Satisfaction exceeds expectation. Anyone should not miss it when visit Pamukkale.

The best amphitheatre I have ever seen. İt was almost empty when we visited so we had it to ourselves and it was spectacular. Still in very good condition. Amazing to sit and close your eyes and think that you were actually sat within Roman empire history. Definitely recommend coming to see here when you visit Denizli, you won't be disappointed. Perfect photo opportunities too 10/10

Amazingly preserved theatre at Hierapolis UNESO heritage site. Though initially constructed around reign of Hadrian in 60 AD, theatre has been extended and transformed it existing shape during later years. However it collapsed due to earthquake in 7th century. Even in its historic arrangements, it was able to seat 15,000 spectators. It must have been used for multiple sports, cultural and imperial activities. It was heavily restored in 2004 To 2014 but still it has more than 90% actual settings. It’s a must visit place in Turkey Tour.

One of the iconic place in turkey. If you are planning to visit Turkey Pamukkale should be in your list this old theater is giving you amazing historical view along the old Town. There is also a museum there where old coins and stones are there both covered and open museum are present. It's near to hot water spring you can visit this place in a same day. You can get a flight from İstanbul to Denizli and then by taxi you can reach here.

Unfortunetly there's no shadow on the way there and the climb, although not that steep, can be exhausting on a hot summer day. But it is well worth it, as the ruins are in a good condition and the view from that last steps is great. I would have loved to see an ancient play performed here.

Carved into the hills surrounding the ancient city the great Roman Theater is truly one of the most stunning elements of the Hierapolis Archaeological Site. Its stunning architecture, friezes, and location make it one of the best-preserved theaters in Turkey. At its peak, it would have had a seating capacity of over 10,000 people. While there was also a suburban theater that has been nearly completely destroyed by earthquakes, it is this main central theater that encompasses the majesty of this once prosperous ancient city. Excavation of the theater began in 1957 by the Italian Archaeological Mission and in 1988 the Hierapolis-Pamukkale Archaeological Site was made a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The theater went under an extensive restoration project by the Italian Archaeological Mission from 2009-20013 with funding from the Turkish Ministry of Culture. The beautiful stage that visitors can take in is the result of their efforts. As it stands today, the current stage is mostly the original stone pieced together with modern stabilizers and replicas of the original sculptures contained in the Hierapolis Archaeology Museum.

So incredible, definitely worth visiting, we were blown away. Add it to your trip for sure. If it is a hot day go in the early am, we went at 6:30 am to avoid the heat and we also beat the crowds. In the afternoon you can't even find a parking spot.

Great place, large and sprawling together with the 'cotton castles'. The entrance fee is 700 Turkish lira but you have to pay extra to bathe in the Antique Pool.

The local hotels have used too much of the water and this attraction does not look like the pictures you see. There are no blue pools. The ruins are interesting, but I didn’t think it was worth the price of admission.

It’s not a huge park but tiny, quiet and good to take a walk around the pond. There’s one island in the middle of the pond, many geese take a rest there. Rent a duck boat is 6TL for 10mins. It was nice! 👍🏼🦆

A quiet place to stroll in the city, they have cheap boats available to go around the lake, it is nice to take a walk and get your feet wet with the water of Pamukkale. The site is very clean and well maintained and the photos are beautiful. There is only one thing I didn't like, and that is that everybody feeds bread to the ducks, but ducks don't normally eat bread because it hurts their guts🙂

One of the best places in Turkey! Although not as famous as other destinations, its surely as stunning as the rest, if not more! The park itself is breathtaking. Unlike anything I've ever seen. Its taken really good care of. You have to take of your shoes and socks and walk barefoot up the 'cotton' mountain. But be aware, its not really cotton check the photos im uploading. The floor is very rough and at some points painful to step on, but thats the beauty of the place. Its so Natural and untouched. The water is remarkable as well. I went in early November and the weather was perfect. Many paragliding companies offer trip over the beautiful city to enhance the experience as well. Would highly recommend paragliding over the city. Also great ruins behind the mountain to see.

We came there around 1 pm, so we got lucky when we found a parkingspot at the bottom of the attraction. You pay before you enter, there is a point where you can wash your feet, since you have to take of you shoes. Remember to bring lots of water as it can be very sunny and hot. The place is rather crowdy, especially on the way up, so do enjoy the view and peace when you get up. You could easily spend a full day here, since there are antique thermal pools and archeological sites. At the top of the hills there is a resting spot with a café but there are also a park if you want to bring a pre-packed lunch. Overall a great day trip from Antalaya.

Pamukkele, Turkey. Well worth a visit. It cost 80tl to enter, although you can buy a 60tl ticket which gives you year long access to Turkish museums and parks including Pamukkele, so make sure you get that ticket, not the one time ticket. You have to remove you shoes and socks before climbing. A trifle cold in winter. The water that created the formation is warm so the pools nearer the top are warmish and a nice relief from the cold. At the top of the hill is the ancient city of Hierapolis which can be explored at leisure.

At foothills of the pamukkale this is a nice park with a lake in the middle full of ducks and swans and good to enjoy boat rides . Cafes have tea, snacks and ice creams. Park is full of flowers and trees and you can find smell of lavender filling the air near the lake

Cool place to visit if you are driving near by. It is like mini Pamukkale under the ground. It is worth going in with swimming shoes or beach shoes as the cave ground is full of water. There is a big parking lot and the parking is included to the price. The site itself is small, it doesn’t take long to see the cave. There is a pool outdoors where you can swim. It was filled with kids mainly. There are changing rooms and showers that are free of charge. There are no sun beds by the pool therefore not comfortable to stay longer by the pool. In one of the water sources there are lots of many turtles 🐢

You would never think something so amazing is there as you drive up, even as you park. It's only 30 minutes east of Pammukale and simply fabulous. Plus it's free!!

Amazing cave. The size is small, it takes maximum 5 mins to walk around + photos 10 min. In summer time they have a pool with thermal water, in winter the pool is empty. On the territory there are a toilet and a small shop where you can buy sweets and drinks.

It is good place to stop by if you are driving nearby but as it is very small and takes 5 minutes to complete, we would not drive more than 30 minutes to see it. Free parking. Entrance is little less than 1 Euro per person but only pay cash in turkish lira. There is a lovely honest and kind young boy running this place, he deserves a raise and he is more memorable than place itself. Beautiful cave well maintained for pedestrians. The cave takes maximum 5 minutes to walk through but youll get your feet wet. As its very small cave its still warm/hot inside. We rate very high because we are impressed by how well maintained this place is, entrance fee is reasonable with free parking and most importantly because of the lovely young man running this place.

Underground cotton candy castle 🤯🤯🤯🏰🔥👌 In my nuuuumerous hours of researching places to visit via the interwebs I stumbled across this sweet little cave which has very similar pools to the massive Turkish tourist attraction called Pamukkale (cotton castle) 🤩🤩🤩 This cave did not disappoint! Absolutely exquisite thermal pools formed by millenniums of flowing spring waters with high zinc, calcium, magnesium, and gypsum content which have over the years built up individual pools here underground inside of this spectacular cavern 🤘 When I first got here I honestly thought I would see a few people or at least a security guard.... Buuuuuut there was no one around for miles! Luckily there is no real gate or security door to get into the cave or onto this property. Surprising honestly but here we are 😂🤣😂 The cave itself is lit up with a bunch of high-intensity LEDs which makes viewing the cave formations all the better 😮 The wooden walkway to get around here is in really good condition and you can see several different mouths of the spring feeding this cave. One is inside of a deep blue pool and two of the others are coming in as waterfalls through the top of the cave... Really beautiful but make sure you have some waterproof shoes before you go down in here💦⛰️⛲🌂🤣🤣🤣 After exploring the cave for a while I noticed they have some swimming pools built just outside of the entrance of the cave. I imagine in the summertime when the zombie apocalypse corona virus lockdown is not in full force this is a fantastic place to come enjoy the afternoon with your family and splash around in these thermal waters! Kind of eerie walking around by yourself in an abandoned aqua park but even still very cool! Really glad I got to check this place out and even more thrilled to see this cave up close and personal after finding out about it 4 months ago back in Istanbul on my incredibly exhaustive hunt for off the beaten path things to see and do here in this region of Turkey. If you're in the area I give this place 2 biiiiiiiig thumbs up to visit 👍🤠👍

Amazing place, looks like Pamukkale but it is completely different: Pamukkale is an overcrowded tourist trap and this place is a quite cave which cost only 15 TRY per person.

This is a well preserved cave located in Denizli, Turkey. It is a short and easy hike to the cave entrance, and the cave itself is not very large, but it is still a beautiful sight to see. The natural water that flows through the cave is a beautiful turquoise color, and the cave walls are covered in stunning travertine formations. The cave is open to visitors for a small fee, and the hike to the entrance is only about 10 minutes long. Once you reach the cave, you can walk through the main chamber and admire the natural beauty of the cave. There are also a few small side chambers that you can explore. The cave is not very large, so you can easily see it all in about 30 minutes. However, the short visit is well worth it for the chance to see such a beautiful natural wonder.

Not so crowded, but smells not good. Also recommend to wear slippers because there is water on the floor of the cave and on the steps. Views are beautiful. The entrance is only 15₺/person. but it seems that you can get there only by car((

So strange that this beautiful place is free. Free parking, beautifully manicured gardens (gardener currently mowing the lawns), free swimming pool, free clean toilets with hand soap, incredible cave with formations like Pamukkale. This is obviously a secret tgat has not yet been shared.

Rooms are spacious, neat and clean. This place is very near to thermal pool and Hierapolis. Location is one of its best advantage. Also, the owner is very helpful and wonderful person. Only issue I faced was that the restaurant closes very early like 7 pm.

It's half past 1 in the morning and I'm hearing - talking from the next room, every conversation every sexy nosie, not stopped since 10pm so annoying. Luckily there is a stuff in the reception and he helped me with this issue. - deep music beats from far outside, not sure where that came from, non stop since evening - earlier I can hear clearly noisy from hallway - you can hear toilet flashing so clearly and it's not from your own room Rest of the room is fine.

Good price around 150 for two pernos. We got 3 beds for the whole room. Even though the showet holder broken it was good to take a good fresh hot bath and rest. I paid for a larger room with double bed but they gave me a very small room in the basement. The floor is dirty, there's no space and you think where to put your things and clothes. Very bad noise isolation, you hear everything outside. And constant noise from bathroom, probably from ventilation system that you hear all the night. I traveled a lot in Turkey but this is one of the worst places. Avoid. Never again here. The only good thing is that I booked for 1 night.

Hotel was cheap in comparison to other places around, 400 Lira per night. Rooms need defenitly some renovation otherwise it was ok for 2 night stay. Fridge was there, chairs and table outside the room to sit and relax. Nice and clean pool.
