A great place to take a group. There are a wide range of fun activities to choose from. Our group chose Lazer tag, kayaking and a campfire experience. All of the group enjoyed themselves and want to return again. The food was okay, about what you would expect. The sleeping quarters were clean and well suited for our purposes. The location is fabulous, right in the centre of the town.

Fantastic 2 day trip with a group of 19 x 16 year old girls. Activities were very enjoyable and varied to suit all levels of confidence and ability. Leaders amazing - so engaging for all and made everything fun. Note only 1 shower in dorm rooms - more showers available downstairs though. Exact itinerary and food options were vague on communications. One girl that is gluten free said food was 'amazing' - the best selection and taste she's ever had on a group trip. Food overall was very good and substantial. Would highly recommend - action packed and guaranteed to have happy group comments - some didn't want to go home!

Having a group of people together participating in games can go a numerous different ways on a stag. We were very fortunate to have the. Carlingford adventure center. Having emailed back and forth for months, they would always follow up quickly with us. They would get back on any questions that we had and gave us everything we needed while we were participating in our events. The crystal maze was a really fun challenge. We were split into both groups and so the competitive nature really kicked in for our groups. It was a fantastic way for the group to all bond together. Both team leaders who ran us through the session were tremendous. They were kind, laid back and helpful. We understood all tasks that were presented in front of us. We couldn’t ask for two better people. Would highly recommend the adventure center for any booking or group activity that you have

Had a great time! All the instructors were so lovely specifically one in particular 😉.We went during March so it was kinda rainy but that’s okay! We did kayaking,survivor,laser tag and the high ropes at the skypark.Overall I had a great time,and I will miss all the instructors

Very nice place, no water activities due to rough weather. Food is acceptable, suitable for vegetarians. Accommodation is a bit scuffed, but will get you through the night. I recommended that you don't waste too much time in Skypark and explore other activities.

We really enjoyed the residential in Carlingford, location was great. We really enjoyed the activities and accommodation was perfect for the groups we brought, however, Our girls rooms were located facing a bar and they were not provided with any curtains/blinds which left their room open for people to see in. When staff where told about this no solution was provided so the had to put up a bedsheet. Other than this the staff were great and made our nights stay really enjoyable, Thank you

I went here with my friend not too long ago, the rooms are definitely worse than I was expecting. It’s extremely hot even with the windows open and the shower is very strange as the pressure is very rough. Bed mattresses were not that comfy and the bed pack (which both of us got) had stains and smelled quite badly. I personally have a hard time staying away from my parents and I thought this would be a good opportunity to grow used to being away from them, but we weren’t allowed our phones during the day so I couldn’t contact them a lot since the internet was not good either. The nights were incredibly loud, with other kids screaming, banging on our doors, etc. No staff did ANYTHING about this and it went on for the 5 nights we were there. Eventually it got so bad we had to go to a hotel room as we couldn’t get any sleep since it was so hot, loud, etc. Some of the staff were great and funny plus really friendly, one of them called me a nutjob which is a little informal. The activities are good but they seriously tire you out and you feel terrible the next day. I do appreciate that there are rules and kids will be kids but it’s terrible that everyone can get away with it. Our roommate also screamed until all hours of the night, trying to talk to the boys from our window and nothing was done about this. If you’d like ti go here I recommend just booking a day rather than staying overnight because honestly I could never do this again. I did face some fears of heights which was great but a lot of the aspects were low quality, I hope I don’t come here for a school trip one day because I could never do it again.

We brought a group of 30 to Carlingford Adventure Centre. The leaders were really excellent, fun and engaging. Young and old enjoyed the variety of activities. The accomodation was simple and very clean, in a great location, and the food tasty. thanks for a great trip.

The staff here are excellent.. fun with safety at its best. Well worth the visit for all age groups and excellent value for money… we had a age group of 12 to 19 years old and they all enjoyed the challenge.

Instructors were generally friendly but was rude when canoeing. Activities : Good variety Food: Better on day 2 than day 1 Lifts to and from the Skypark were much appreciated. We needed a 2th instructor for the Skypark as a number of the group did not complete the course.

Went on a Transition Year trip here recently. Was not bad overall: many positives and some negatives. Staff were outstanding. Views were beautiful. My group participated in laser tag, kayaking, nightline and sky park. All of these were fun and amazing experiences. All safety equipment was provided. Rooms were almost like a prison cell but was manageable for a night. There is a no phone policy however, there were times at which one could use their phone. Food was alright. You could go shop for food also. After waking up the next day, we all had to pack up before heading to the sky park. All our belongings were pretty much thrown into storage vans, resulting in some loss and damage. Took a long time to hand the belongings back out to students. Would go again, but not overnight.

My 12yr old son went on an overnight school trip here last week and was nervous before going. He skipped off the bus telling me he had the best time, food was yummy and he had great laughs in the room with his friends. His best part was the lake activities. Thank you all for making the trip a memorable one for him. He wants to go back.

We had our corporate team event here and it was brilliant. Much fun with great instructors. We did Chrystal Maze and Survivor Challenges. Lunch was delicious too. Definitely recommend! Thanks

Myself and 4 friends booked a 3 hour adventure with Spear throwing, Archery & Axe throwing last weekend with Carlingford Adventure Centre. We had so much fun learning and laughing our way through the woods. Our instructor Ben was absolutely incredible. He was very knowledgeable, patient, funny and so encouraging. He made sure we had a great day! Can't recommend Ben and the centre enough. A great way to learn something new and fun while spending time with some good friends. Can't wait to return!

Yet to get a refund for the change of kayaking to sky park on the day due to weather. Understandable that kayaking couldn’t go ahead but no refund was made to accommodate the significant difference in price, we did not get what we paid for and this was for all 12 members of my party. Would not recommend, not reliable. We were originally promised a refund of the difference however they have continued to ignore our communication since the visit

we brought a women's group to the Carlingford A.C for our second visit this year, the first was the high ropes and zip line , incredible , we all enjoyed every minute of it, scared out of our wits but, fantastic. On Friday last it was pouring rain, and we had the best time, we laughed all the way through the crystal maze and other activities, such as axe throwing, spear throwing . it really is full of adventure for any age, we also had lunch which was very tasty burgers and chips with coleslaw, bread and butter and a mug o T.. Juan ( our guide/ ogre/monster was fantastic ( but make sure you are on time Ha Ha) lil joke for Juan) we would highly Recommend

We were a hen group of 12 in July 2023. We had booked kayaking months in advance., unfortunately on the day the sea was too choppy so we were offered access to their sister company Skypark. The Skypark is considerably cheaper than the kayaking we booked. After several phone calls and emails, and promises from the manager of a refund on the price difference they have not followed through.

The trip was great the showers were cold though, the food was good too. Thanks Sean for carrying my bag. Thank you everyone 🤘

Great day out - I am a coach on an under 12s GAA team - myself and the other coaches brought 24 of our girls to Carlingford Adventure Centre for a Saturday morning out. Over 3 hours, the girls had a great time on the Ziplines and Walkways. The aim of the trip was to have them all do an activity as a group and CAC was super for this. Great facilities, great staff and a great day out. Topped off by a quality takeaway from McFeeleys, the girls loved it.

Good place to walk. 6km passage is good, just wet with some muddy puddles. Stunning breath taking views.

Despite the fact that I work here, I definitely would recommend this place (Rabello's Bistro) for food, service and Views to behold, simply put ' outstanding 👌and also there's the Carlingford Greenway, Marina, Apartment's to rent, Dog washing facility, plenty of free parking and did I mention the VIEWS!!!

Great Aire site (15 euro per night) with fantastic views, friendly staff and access to greenway cycle to Omeagh. Really nice cafe (try the Taco Salad and Buddha Bowl) on site with limited opening times except for weekends. Short 12 min walk into Carlingford itself.

Good parking for night. Very reasonable cost. Friendly staff. Lovely view over the marina.

Fantastic Motorhome stopover, service point, hot showers ,friendly staff, bar restaurant, bike hire all in the marina. Beautiful views and only 10mins walk to Carlingford or hire a bike and go to Omeath alone the greenway Highly recommended

The staff, location, and services are above and beyond all expectation here. I landed my first time expecting to stay a day or two and stayed a week, since then I have returned over and over; each time has been as lovely as the last. I can’t overstate how accommodating the staff are here. A family-owned business that offers a multitude of services for locals, mariners, and camper van travelers. Definitely also check out the cafe and adjoining restaurant.

Beautiful place to sit and have a coffee. The entrance to the green way is located at the Carlingford Marina. You can hire bicycles or walk along the greenway with views overlooking Carlingford Lough.

Love parking up here. Easy to pay and we seem to always find a space even though its very popular now. We like to park up to get a view over the marina. They dont have electric hook up but they have a place to fill up with drinking water and a place for grey waste and toilet waste. Marina has a bar, restaurant and music so you dont even need to head into Carlingford itself if you didn't fancy the walk in.

Lovely location, good facilities

Parked here for the night last Friday . 15 euro and can use the toilets in the Marina building. 12 other campers there that night. Short walk into town. Great spot. Pity there weren't more of these facilities around Ireland. No problem paying 15 euro to park safely.

We arrived about an hour before low water. China Girl draws 2.2m. We got in fine. The entrance seems quite narrow, but again it all was fine. Nice welcome. The toilets and showers are clean and well maintained. Laundry is by token from the office €4 each for wash and dry. Use the quick wash to shorten the programme.

Highly rated for atmosphere and friendliness. Old pontoons can lend uniqueness. Easy to get to from the Republic or from Northern Ireland

We were walking along the Greenway and discovered the coffee shop. We just had a coffee. It also serves breakfast and other food.

Just back from a weekend for my sisters hen party and it was such a great spot. The rooms have everything needed and the location is beautiful. Short walk into carlingford town. The staff were so lovely and very accommodating and pleasant. Amazing value for money. Definitely worth a visit

Beautiful remains of once impenetrable fort, unfortunately could not get inside but walk around and view is fantastic too.

This was such a good experience. Our tour guide was Gerry and we was fantastic. Lots of good history of the town and the castle. Tours are at 3pm every day and the tickets can be bought at the tourism center. The lady there was lovely too. This was an unplannned tour but such a great experience.

Local man, growing up here.. ive climbed every inch... A marvelous bit of medieval construction, although this is relatively recent history regarding our little village, why was our little spot chosen as one area suitable for a king i have to wonder... so many intrigues and worm holes of history

Lost a star as unfortunately couldn't get inside due to locked gates. Apart from that, pretty good as is the town itself.

Unfortunately not open inside to the public. Neat building with a lot of potential. There are empty placards, so there is no information about the castle or its history. Wish it was better upkept and had more historical information.

The help from the Visit Carlingford team made the process of organising a hen weekend really straightforward and as convenient as possible. The cocktail mystery tour brought us to lovely little local pubs we would never have stumbled across by ourselves, everyone had a brilliant time!

First time visiting Carlingford in summer 2018, after 15 years of going to Dublin on a regula basis...! Several stag and hen party groups roaming the streets, but really lovely village with sooooo many castle ruins. Lovely really.

Carlingford is a beautiful place to go for a weekend trip especially with family or friends. Unfortunately this accommodative establishment shares little in common with the town it is in. The service was not up to par during my visit and it was borderline frustrating. Much better off planning urself with places you find online or through friends

Great places in beautiful Carlingford co. Louth. Place is lovely to visit and nice food in pj, mcKevits hotel. Drinks over the weekend here is like Ibiza but in Ireland.

This is a beautiful Church in a lovely location. Its interior is reminiscent of the old-style Churces of our youth and is both charming and quaint. There was bitterly cold weather on the day we were there to attend a wedding. Sadly it was as cold inside the Church as is was outside. I understand that heating such a building is cost prohibitive, but the older members of the congregation were very uncomfortable - not to mention the Bridal party! However, I would love to pay a summer visit to this beautiful Church.
