The most beautiful train ride in the world. The scenery on this train is too magnificent to put into words and cameras just can't quite capture the beauty no matter how hard I tried! Definitely a "must do" if ever in Norway... I will definitely be back sometime in my life to experience this again. Hot tip: For best views, if catching from Myrdal, sit on left hand side of train (right side if catching from Flåm). Also aim for a window that opens for best views and camera shots x

We disembarked from our boat tour through the fjords in Flam to catch the Flam Railway to Myrdal. The trains are retro and quite spacious. I was pleasantly surprised to discover flat screens featuring key points of interest (which were also narrated). We were thrilled to stop at a gorgeous waterfall for a fantastic photo opp (and cool surprise that I won’t spoil). Read up about all the twists and turns the train must make to navigate — it’s fascinating. The stop in Myrdal is also scenic. Well worth the trip.

Note that it stops in front of a billowing, gushing waterfall, and there is the opportunity to get out and experience the forceful onrush of water as it's mist sprays your face.

Great place to reboot after a train or boat ride. Great outdoor seating for most of the cafes. Can't beat the view of mountains, fjord waters and when we were there in June, cascading waterfalls from the snowmelt.

The 20 KM long Flam Railway trip has been the most scenic and beautiful train rides I have ever done. In fact the golden train trip in Switzerland can be placed next to this one. Around 300 people live there. It's very clean. If you love nature, then you should visit this place at least once.

The train ride is a great experience! We got the train from Voss to Myrdal then the Flåmsbana railway to Flåm. The train itself is in a vintage style which is what the tour is trying to achieve, however it does have toilets and plenty of space. The scenery from the windows is amazing and there is a short stop at a waterfall on the way down. Here you can take pictures and watch the traditional dancer. The railway is a fantastic experience but be warned it can be quite busy due to the cruise liners and other tourists coming to the area. At the bottom in Flåm the queues were quite large and we were glad we came the opposite way from Myrdal.

We took the train to Myrdal in July this year. It was a very fun and scenic trip. Many impressive waterfalls, one of which they stop at and let everyone get out and take pictures of. We had booked the zip line and bike trip back to Flåm, so we got out at the second to last stop. It was a bit of a walk to the zip line start. The view was beautiful and the zip line was a lot of fun. It was quite long but over fast. The bike ride back down was the highlight of our entire trip. If you are on the fence about biking, know it is definitely worth it! There are a few places where you need to bike uphill but most of the ride is downhill, so get familiar with your brakes. Despite being part of a group if about 20 or so, we ended up biking most of the way mostly alone. We would pass some groups, stop for pictures and get passed by them. It was fun, because you could choose when and where you wanted to stop. There were two restrooms on the way down, but neither had toilet paper, so pack some or be prepared to go without!

This was a really good ride with the Flamsbana! Be sure to give it a try when you are in Flam and enjoy the great view of the mountains and valleys on both sides of the trail. The waterfall is deeply frozen in winter and there are far fewer visitors than in summer, wonderful 👍

Took this train as a part of Norway in a nutshell. Nice train ride if you want to see all different parts of Norway, you start at sea level and then go up 800 meters of elevations. If you sit on the right hand side you get perfect views of everything in nature. Also cool to pick a seat where you can bring down the window. The round trip costs 500 NOK for adults and can be purchased separately from cruiseship or other excursions. There are steep steps to board the train - though ramps are available. It climbs about 3000ft from the valley floor and, depending on the time of year, you see waterfalls or ice. It is very beautiful - especially if you are lucky enough to get bright sunshine, as we did in early March 2024!

I rate 4 stars only because it might be slightly disappointing (also for its cost) after having started with the sheer beauty of Fläm itself. Nothing can improve from what you have seen from the top of the ship and then when landing. That's why this uphill train journey comes second no matter how nice it, nevertheless, is.

We were lucky enough to take one of the extended safari trips in 2018, and even luckier to be able to do another on a recent stop off in Flam from our cruise. I can't recommend this trip highly enough! The staff all speak excellent English and are friendly, welcoming, and professional. The trips are safe, but fun, and you get to see some stunning scenery. You are well kitted out so no issue with getting cold or wet. The rib drivers have excellent knowledge of the area and make the trips interesting and exciting. If we are ever lucky enough to return to Flam in the future (preferably via a more environmentally friendly ship) then we will have absolutely no hesitation in booking a third trip! Fantastic tour on the rib boat with an excellent guide. Loved the stories of the Fjord and the goats cheese tasting just topped it off nicely 😋 We did the Safari Taste tour and I would definitely recommend it!

Two amazing experiences today. First was a 3 mile (10km) hike to a beautiful waterfall. The guides, Paulina and Rose, were incredible, well versed in the history and so helpful and friendly. Overall, not a strenuous hike. Approximately a 525ft (160m) elevation gain. The second experience was the speed boat ride through the Fjords with an amazing guide explaining the rice history. The views were spectacular, and they provide all the proper gear to protect against the cold and water. My only complaint is the speed boat of choice did not have normal seats, you have to straddle the seat sort of like riding a bull and it is not the most comfortable over a long period of time.

Five stars are not enough for the beauty of the fjord. It was such a magical ride. None of us wanted to get down at the end. Very pretty. Smiling staff. Plenty of comfortable seats inside and to stand outside as well. The journey itself is comfortable but the view is so beautiful...just like the wallpapers we see. ..you won't know how the time flew in the fjord...we also tried the cafeteria inside the fjord and the coffee and food was good. Bit pricy but good. We took a bus for our return because we wanted to explore gudvangen which was a good decision....you might take 3 -4 hours to see everything in the village which is also a don't miss kind of stop. Worth each penny for this fjord. Definitely will go again!! Hope so!!

Absolutely brilliant tour operator. Super fun and knowledgeable staff that made our tour outstanding. For the winter safari they provide warm and protective layers as well as goggles. The tour took us to some interesting points and the guide was super informative. We had a brilliant time! Loved it!!

Great safari into the Fjord. The boat is nice new and clean you don’t get wet but it’s windy. The whole trip is about 1 hour would recommend this the views are fantastic the house is good.

Speed boat in March, cold , wet, and fantastic. They dress you up nice and warm and it so much fun. Definitely worth braving the weather for. The cheese tasting in Undredal is gorgeous and Eric? I hope that's right, was very informative and interesting. Fantastic sights and super fun.

The weather was really bad but the guides made it so enjoyable despite this. They were super friendly and helpful and they made the experience very memorable. Our guide was great, she was good at English and told some really interesting stories!

Incredible views out on the boat! We were concerned when we showed up to a rainy day in Flam for our fjord safari but the suit they give you does a great job keeping you warm. I’d suggest wearing tall warm socks since that’s the only spot not really covered by the suit.

We really enjoyed our experience cruising the fjords with Fjord Safari!! The crew equipped us with warm thermal suits, life jackets, and goggles before setting out. The boat ride is fun and exciting, and the guide is a wealth of information, providing detailed information about the area’s history and wildlife along the way. We stopped in a goat farm village and got to sample cheese and hot black currant juice. The weather held on our way out, and the scenery was just stunning. We returned to port just in time, as it started to rain. You don’t go quite as far down the fjord as we expected, but it you do get a lot closer to the edges and waterfalls than in any other boats. It was an amazing experience and I strongly recommend to any adventurous spirit!

We did fjord Safari today and really loved it. Our great guide Bartosz had lots of good stories about the fjords, the local cheese and the villages - very informative. Although we had a little rain as well, the provided suits and goggles kept us nicely dry. Great trip and certainly recommended.

Absolutely amazing. This trip was the highlight of our time in Flåm , Ty was a fantastic tour guide and the scenery was stunning. The service was well delivered, from the provision of the floatation suits to the instructions given and the journey itself. We blasted along the fjords stopping regularly for an explanation or story about what we were looking at. The ride itself was entertaining and enjoyable, it seemed like everyone in our boat was having a great time. Reading the reviews, yes the name says safari but this is just a nice name for a tour along the fjords and hey you might see an animal or two if your lucky. And again, if you’ve come via cruise your probably going to travel along the stretch you’ve already seen. This is a fantastic experience and well deserves the 5 stars. We would even do it again if we ever returned.

Excellent, well recommend to all over 14 yrs old . You have to get suited up ,for safety reasons. Cost £80 each approximately . Don’t buy off the Cruise ship much cheaper on shore. This was the highlight of my holiday. 12 persons per boat . Fantastic way to see the Fjords. Absolutely stunning views. Takes about 2.5 hours . The guide Olaf was great giving the history of the area. All clothing for the boat are provided, waterproof suit, life jacket, goggles and hat , gloves . Wrap up warm as well as it does get cold on the fjords. Definitely recommend this safari . They provided binoculars too .

Despite the rain, we had an amazing time on our FjordSafari. We booked this as part of the Norway in a Nutshell package and it was great to land in Flåm from Gudvangen and head back out to continue seeing the magnificent sits along the fjords! As other reviews mentioned, you get outfitted with tons of gear to keep you warm and dry, so even though it was raining, we had an amazing time and in many ways, that added to the charm!

Quite an interesting place to spend 20 minutes while waiting for the actual train to arrive. They provide a history of how the railway was made, and there is a lovely display of model trains. They do also have an actual old train on display - it is roped off so you cannot climb on board, but you can still take photos with it.

This little museum and souvenir shop is located right next to the cruise dock and train station. Entrance is free and it’s a good place to occupy some time. During our travels we did not come across too many souvenir shops so we were very happy to be able to load up on our refrigerator magnets, t-shirt, pocketknife, etc. We felt the souvenirs were a tasteful selection and decently well made. The cashier warned us to ensure we place the pocketknife into checked luggage when flying and provided us with the VAT tax refund paperwork and receipt. The museum part is worth a walk through especially since it’s free.

Museum contains very few articles... but you can't complain from free tour. But some of the stories explain there shows good insight of struggle at that time.

Nothing can improve from what you have seen from the top of the ship and then when landing. That's why this uphill train journey comes second no matter how nice it, nevertheless, is.

Beautiful train ride and definitely does the positive comments justice. We did it in winter, tends to be a bit more quiet, but the views were just as breathtaking.

This was a highlight of my Norway trip. Our guide was an expert and made sure to instruct all of us safely on land ever before getting on the water. Safety was his top priority at all times. My partner struggled to row and the instructor worked with him the entire time we were on the water. A great way to explore the fjords, but also embrace the calmness of nature on the water.

I was lucky with beautiful weather to get out on the water. I did the 4hr rental, it was absolutely amazing. So peaceful and relaxing, the water was like glass. And the guide Darren was fabulous, he told me all the nice places to explore.

We did the Old Kings Path Tour, and had a great time. Our guide, Gosia, was perfect. It is her first season here, but it seems like she is a local. She told us many interesting stories about the place. Safety is taken very seriously. Kayaking gives us a unique view of the beautiful fjord, and the short walk to a cascade is very nice. I highly recommend this tour

We had such a great trip! All the communication in advance was super easy through phone and email. Sander was always willing to think with us about our optimal experience. We did an unguided 2 night trip which was insane. I can't overstate how beautiful the Fjords are when your in your kayak. Most beautiful place I've ever been!

I had a really great time kayaking in the fjords and our instructor was really great in making sure everyone stayed with the group. The fun tour and stories made the experience even more fun. The fjords are absolutely beautiful by kayak and worth seeing.

We had a great time under the instruction of our guide Ervin. They were well equipped with gear I wasn't expecting, i.e. dry bags and even small pelican cases for cameras and phones. The trip was educational, our favorite story was about the Begonia sunken in the fjord. From start to finish it was a wonderful experience. Highly recommended!

Fairy easy kayak tour for someone without experience. You get a clear safety briefing before going into the water. When we got there, there was barely any wind. However on the way back there was a lot of wind. Which made it a little more exciting but nothing to be afraid of. The tour guide was kind and experienced.

I had a great time! It’s not a raging party, but incredibly relaxing and beautiful. I went solo, so I was able to pair up with a new guide. He was lovely and just loved life! Oh, and the Irish guide was very informative and kind as well. He recommend the floating sauna afterward which was right on! What a great day in Flam!

The best summer experience/highlight of my summer in Norway! I did 3 day kayak excursion on the fjords, with 2 nights wild camping on the fjord. It was just magical 🤩 The tour guides were very knowledgeable about the area and kayaking. I felt comfortable and safe on the water. They provided all food and snacks and valid instructions about kayaking, tent pitching and other health and safety information. You get kitted for the journey, so all you really need to bring is your own clothes, towel, toiletteries and positive attitude! We stopped on the way, visiting Undredal village and Dyrdal and managed to squeeze two wonderful hikes with magnificent views! The weather was really kind to us and fjord very calm, thus making this experience extra special! The 2nd night camping spot was just extraordinary 😍 Thank you for this experience. I'm going to remember it for years to come! 💕

Me and my family went out on the fjord kayak tour today and it was amazing! Our tour guide Savanna was so lovely and made the trip so much more enjoyable. She was so knowledgable about all the history of the fjords and also kept it light and fun with some folk stories (the goats were such a funny surprise!). The equipment and all the gear was in excellent condition. The experience as a whole was one I will never forget and will always recommend to friends and family. Thank you so much to Savanna for hosting this experience, my family and I will always remember the day.

The scenery on the 3 hour kayak tour was beautiful. Highly recommend as an adventurous way to see the fjord. Even spotted a seal on the way. Our guide Barbara was a gem - friendly and informative. Removed one star because of the other staff member, Irish guy I think was called Conor. He was rude.

We had a fabulous time on the 3D2N tour through the fjord with our amazing guide Conner. It is a really good way to explore, appreciate the beauty of the fjord at our own pace. I really like how I wake up in the tranquility of the fjord on the first night and and fall asleep listening to the sound of the waterfall on the second. What more, our very fun, knowledgeable and organised guide takes superb care of our tummies. It is a truly memorable first kayak-camping trip of mine and I highly recommend!

It's 830kor for a single kayak and 750kor per person for a double kayak. These rates are for non tour groups and are good for up to 4 hours. Waters are very calm, so it's really safe to go out. Single kayaks have more chances of flipping over though.

A breathtaking waterfall which is about 175m above sea level. Once you turn off the tar road and start walking up the mountain trail, it's about 500m steep hike to the waterfall. Not only the waterfall is breathtaking the view of Flam is no less either. Well worth the hime up there.

Easy hike, we’ll maintained stone steps, could be slippery when wet though. When you get to the top, you can see the beautiful waterfall up close and get a panoramic view of the valley below.

What a fabulous and easy hike from flam. Around a twenty minute walk but a good hike up, you gotta prepare for that.. 😂 But the views are too die for. Take water, this is important. Dont miss this its worth all the effort.

Killer hike to the most amazing waterfall and view of the valley. It's not easy getting to the falls. Lots of stairs with steep incline.

Brekkefossen is a nice powerful waterfall with a 100-meter final jump. It is situated just behind Flåm. You can see from the fjord when you arrive by sea.

Great hike up to the falls. We walked from Flam which is half and hour each way plus it’s another half hour to climb. It’s a steep climb bring good shoes and if you are not in good shape this will be difficult. Bring water and a hat could be warm. Worth the climb nice views of the Falls and Fjord.

Absolutely stunning, beautiful Norway. Lovely little nature trail that climbs about 550ft above sea level. Climb up the man made stone steps to a viewpoint for the waterfall giving stunning views over Flam and the harbour. Moderate difficulty level, I wouldn’t recommend it for people with bad knees.

Great little hike up to the falls, also gives wonderful views across to Flam and the Fjord.

We absolutely LOVED this hike. Go early in the morning if you can. We went around 8am and were the only ones there until the very end! It was so peaceful!! The trailhead and Trail are well marked. There are many steps made from very well organized and maintained rock. I was so impressed how well maintained everything was. We went past the clearing on the right at the base of the falls when we were going up because we thought maybe there was a way to get to the very top of the falls. Maybe there is, but after about 15 minutes of hiking we turned around because we weren’t sure and we were told that that trail continues on for 15 km. So when we turned back around and went down to the clearing there was a cool secondary spot about halfway up the falls that you could get a unique view. But once we went down to the bottom where the clearing was you can see the entire cove of Flåm and you get an amazing view of the waterfall!! You can see the River quite a ways south, and you see a magnificent view of the Fjords. I’ve been on a lot of hikes but this ranks in the top three hikes I’ve ever done in whole life! It is totally worth the 20 to 40 minute climb depending on how fast you go.

We were lucky enough to take one of the extended safari trips in 2018, and even luckier to be able to do another on a recent stop off in Flam from our cruise. I can't recommend this trip highly enough! The staff all speak excellent English and are friendly, welcoming, and professional. The trips are safe, but fun, and you get to see some stunning scenery. You are well kitted out so no issue with getting cold or wet. The rib drivers have excellent knowledge of the area and make the trips interesting and exciting. If we are ever lucky enough to return to Flam in the future (preferably via a more environmentally friendly ship) then we will have absolutely no hesitation in booking a third trip! Fantastic tour on the rib boat with an excellent guide. Loved the stories of the Fjord and the goats cheese tasting just topped it off nicely 😋 We did the Safari Taste tour and I would definitely recommend it!

Two amazing experiences today. First was a 3 mile (10km) hike to a beautiful waterfall. The guides, Paulina and Rose, were incredible, well versed in the history and so helpful and friendly. Overall, not a strenuous hike. Approximately a 525ft (160m) elevation gain. The second experience was the speed boat ride through the Fjords with an amazing guide explaining the rice history. The views were spectacular, and they provide all the proper gear to protect against the cold and water. My only complaint is the speed boat of choice did not have normal seats, you have to straddle the seat sort of like riding a bull and it is not the most comfortable over a long period of time.

Five stars are not enough for the beauty of the fjord. It was such a magical ride. None of us wanted to get down at the end. Very pretty. Smiling staff. Plenty of comfortable seats inside and to stand outside as well. The journey itself is comfortable but the view is so beautiful...just like the wallpapers we see. ..you won't know how the time flew in the fjord...we also tried the cafeteria inside the fjord and the coffee and food was good. Bit pricy but good. We took a bus for our return because we wanted to explore gudvangen which was a good decision....you might take 3 -4 hours to see everything in the village which is also a don't miss kind of stop. Worth each penny for this fjord. Definitely will go again!! Hope so!!

Absolutely brilliant tour operator. Super fun and knowledgeable staff that made our tour outstanding. For the winter safari they provide warm and protective layers as well as goggles. The tour took us to some interesting points and the guide was super informative. We had a brilliant time! Loved it!!

Great safari into the Fjord. The boat is nice new and clean you don’t get wet but it’s windy. The whole trip is about 1 hour would recommend this the views are fantastic the house is good.

Speed boat in March, cold , wet, and fantastic. They dress you up nice and warm and it so much fun. Definitely worth braving the weather for. The cheese tasting in Undredal is gorgeous and Eric? I hope that's right, was very informative and interesting. Fantastic sights and super fun.

Incredible views out on the boat! We were concerned when we showed up to a rainy day in Flam for our fjord safari but the suit they give you does a great job keeping you warm. I’d suggest wearing tall warm socks since that’s the only spot not really covered by the suit.

We really enjoyed our experience cruising the fjords with Fjord Safari!! The crew equipped us with warm thermal suits, life jackets, and goggles before setting out. The boat ride is fun and exciting, and the guide is a wealth of information, providing detailed information about the area’s history and wildlife along the way. We stopped in a goat farm village and got to sample cheese and hot black currant juice. The weather held on our way out, and the scenery was just stunning. We returned to port just in time, as it started to rain. You don’t go quite as far down the fjord as we expected, but it you do get a lot closer to the edges and waterfalls than in any other boats. It was an amazing experience and I strongly recommend to any adventurous spirit!

We did fjord Safari today and really loved it. Our great guide Bartosz had lots of good stories about the fjords, the local cheese and the villages - very informative. Although we had a little rain as well, the provided suits and goggles kept us nicely dry. Great trip and certainly recommended.

Absolutely amazing. This trip was the highlight of our time in Flåm , Ty was a fantastic tour guide and the scenery was stunning. The service was well delivered, from the provision of the floatation suits to the instructions given and the journey itself. We blasted along the fjords stopping regularly for an explanation or story about what we were looking at. The ride itself was entertaining and enjoyable, it seemed like everyone in our boat was having a great time. Reading the reviews, yes the name says safari but this is just a nice name for a tour along the fjords and hey you might see an animal or two if your lucky. And again, if you’ve come via cruise your probably going to travel along the stretch you’ve already seen. This is a fantastic experience and well deserves the 5 stars. We would even do it again if we ever returned.

Excellent, well recommend to all over 14 yrs old . You have to get suited up ,for safety reasons. Cost £80 each approximately . Don’t buy off the Cruise ship much cheaper on shore. This was the highlight of my holiday. 12 persons per boat . Fantastic way to see the Fjords. Absolutely stunning views. Takes about 2.5 hours . The guide Olaf was great giving the history of the area. All clothing for the boat are provided, waterproof suit, life jacket, goggles and hat , gloves . Wrap up warm as well as it does get cold on the fjords. Definitely recommend this safari . They provided binoculars too .

Despite the rain, we had an amazing time on our FjordSafari. We booked this as part of the Norway in a Nutshell package and it was great to land in Flåm from Gudvangen and head back out to continue seeing the magnificent sits along the fjords! As other reviews mentioned, you get outfitted with tons of gear to keep you warm and dry, so even though it was raining, we had an amazing time and in many ways, that added to the charm!

They ran a friendly and efficient operation. Our guide, Paulina, made it fun and informative. She created an experience that was nicely paced with a very enjoyable flow of speed, calm, and stops for pics of beautiful sights. Highly recommend!

Good fun for few hours for a tour up the Aurlandsfjord to Stegastein view point. The Twizzy was great fun to drive, large enough for two (just!), take plenty of clothing if a cold day. We drove for two hours with enough charge back to flåm. Owner was very friendly. Would recommend for a different experience.

The best activity on land in Flåm. Explore the mountain road up to the stunning viewpoint or enjoy the beautiful scenery inwards the mountains following the river and passing by the amazing lake. Super friendly staff that take full care of you. Don't miss this out while in Flåm.

Fun way to tour the region especially if going up extremely tight mountain roads and you aren't accustomed to them. Rental was super easy and only took a few minutes from when we showed up until we were driving away in the car.

We found eMobility on a whim while in Flam, I told the owner I would come and rate them on Google and then forgot to do so. So, here I am, almost two years later coming back to keep my word. 10/10 recommend, nice owner and a pretty cool experience while in Flam!

Wanted a little more exploring while in Flam, while we could have walked, the electric car option was very appealing. For $100 we drove around for more than 1 hour and explored many more areas. Very easy to drive and comfortable for 2 adults

There's this cute little church in the old part of Flåm. A small stream runs next to it, and there's some parking across the street. I couldn't go inside because it was closed. The drive to the old town is pretty too.

In Flam, this was our highlight. Purchase a ticket for the number one bus, and also a ticket to go inside the church at the tourist center by the cruise port. I would much rather see this, then ride the Flam train. I highly recommend this.

We went to Flam by cruise ship and took a rental car near the train station. It only takes 5 minutes by car from downtown to the church. If you want to get there by feet, it will be a very long way so you better think twice. The church is kind of typical in Norway, small but fine and original. Since we had nice weather on that day, everything seemed to be just perfect!

Very good place to visit. A very old church built 16th century. It is made up of wood. There is a canal flowing in front of the church. And this all adds to the beauty of the church.

Nice church, just outside Flåm town center. The pictures cannot really capture why this building is such a nice stop while touring. The majestic rural setting combined with the simplistic wooden construction and weathered tiled roof really captures an essence of rural Norwegian life.

Flam Kyrkje Church: The plaque says "Flam Kyrkje Byod 1667"! And I visited it in 2017, that is 350 years after it was built, that is three and a half centuries. I was kind of stunned by it. It is very old Church, and they say it is not open for most of the days. When I started my walk from Flam hostel, I was not sure if it will be open, it is almost 3.5 to 4 Km and it is a very simple walk. But on reaching there, I cound it open and I was glad. The inside is beautiful, it is old and has a mysterious aura around it. Go for a walk and enjoy it.

Nice one stop souvenir and clothing shops. It appears 2 or 3 are owned by same company. At any rate, wife needed a long coat to replace the shorter jacket, due to the cold and rainy weather we had been experiencing on our cruise. She found a very nice one and actually reasonably priced by US standards to say nothing of the more expensive Norwegian economy and later we got an $11 tax rebate as well.

My partners mom (she’s in her 60s!) booked the Flåm zipline as a treat to us all. Im now convinced that she’s thoroughly bonkers, as it was utterly terrifying! Upon arrival at Vatnahalsen you realise just how high up the zip line is… it’s high. Very high, with amazing views. Despite my reservations, it was a great experience - to soar out over that scenery was fantastic! It really did feel like flying out over a beautiful valley. The staff were all helpful, friendly and professional and advised the quickest way back to Flåm was to cycle, so we hired bikes. The ride back to town is simply stunning, taking in roaring rivers, cascading waterfalls and the most verdant scenery. It’s a pretty exhilarating ride, around 18km with some uphill but I’d highly recommend it. Huge thanks to all at the Flåm zip line for one of the most terrifying experiences of my life to date!

Flam Zipline is the longest zipline in Scandinavia which stretched 1.381km. The line starts at Vatnahalsen near the Bergen line and the Flam Railway and ends at Kardalen in the upper part of Flam Valley. Definitely a thrilling and fun experience.

This expewrience is worth any money, so much fun. We got there with Flambana, you need to walk 3 minutes from the trainstop. Very helpful and friendly crew takes care of technicalitis. We were bit scared when looking down, but the excitement was great. After landing at the bottom, everyone was imediately ready for another ride, but we have booked bicycles and it was also great to ride down the valley on the bikes. Higly recomend both zipline and the bike ride. All the tickets for Flambana, zipline and bike rental can be bought in Flam ticket office.

Great for kids. Asfor adults it is not so intense. Think twice if you really need to spend the money

Safe, super fun, amazing experience doing this. Take the train up til the zip line point (200 m from vatnhalsen stop) they will attach the harness, explain how to position your body, and just let loose. Then take a bike from the landing zone and cycle downhill to the flam railway station. Best fun I’ve had in ages. Recommend for solo travel and groups. Book the entire stuff in advance using norways best.

A very enjoyable place. You can take a bicycle in Myrdal and go down the zipline with it. and continue to Plam. And there to return them. It's best to go down the zipline and take the bike there, it's cheaper. The price for the zipline alone is too expensive. It is better to take with the bike together.

We had a great time. Was raining on the way up but OK when we got there and most of the bike ride back.

I only could say: Yeah!!!!!! That is so fantastic. I want to do that 100 times again. You got a safety instruction and it goes all very fast. If you are afraid about the high you shouldn’t do that. But think about it, a 84 years old grandmother do that and she find that fantastic. So there is nothing more to say.

Fantastic experience, great views and was so much fun! Definitely one to add to your bucket list. The crew are really caring aswell, I am terrified of heights and the crew member made me feel very comfortable, explaining what she was doing and what was going to happen. She said I would love it and I did! When you get to the bottom you can hang with the goats and have coffee and delicious pancakes (with jam and brown cheese!) before walking or riding back to Flam. Thank you so much team! ☺️

Having doubts...? Do it. This was my first zipline ever, it was VERY safe. Double checks and confirmations by colleagues everywhere. The view is one of a kind, and the speed is incredible. Be sure to follow it up with a bike ride down the valley for the best experience!
