Magnificent temples. Its intricate white facade and surreal artwork create a unique and unforgettable experience. However, the scorching weather, strict dress code for women, and occasional crowding might be something that visitors need to be aware of. Plan accordingly to make the most of this unique and beautiful attraction.

Gorgeous temple. I’ve been to a lot of temples in Asia and this one is by far my favourite. The architecture and detailing is just so beautiful. There’s a lot of interesting little sculptures scattered around as well. 100 baht entry fee for foreigners. Came around 4pm on a Thursday and there were only a handful of other people there. Spent about an hour walking around but definitely could have been here longer. It’s easy to skip over temples especially after you’ve been to so many but this is one you definitely can’t miss.

I fell in love with this wonderful and strong piece of art. Such a big site and since I was in a group tour I had to be fast and could not see everything. I love the art inside and out. And the cave. The museum with the beautiful art with a strong message. I would love to go back and I highly recommend it. Buy a book in the shop at the museum.

Magnificent temple! Grand and breathtaking. Walked fast to pass by hell. The inner chamber artworks are ingenious and personal to the artist. Very exquisite. The entrance fee is 100 baht. No sleeveless and shorts allowed. There's a new cave installation, which is also interesting. Space is very narrow at the beginning, and if you are claustrophobic, you may want to reconsider going inside. Similar way of depicting life as experienced in the White Temple--hell first before heaven--as the narrow, chaotic space leads to a wide, peaceful buddha. The artworks are interesting with sculptures and light effects--watch out for the details. The entrance fee is 50 Baht.

There's no doubt that this temple is certainly beautiful, interesting, and one of the most unique temples we have visited in Thailand, but it still does not justify the dual pricing!! 100b for foreigners and free for Thsis, you don't see any other countries giving different prices for different nationalities, blatantly ripping off tourists!! It's not the price; it's the principle of the dual pricing that really is unfair. Anyway, architecturally, it is very pleasing on the eye, pure white all around, which is unusual from the normal gold temples. No photos are allowed inside the temple. Quite quiet to visit now with not many tourists. Overall, it is a very beautiful temple and very unique, but I'm sticking to my poor scores for the ripping off of tourists, which you are not forced to pay and in all honesty the beautiful photos are taken from outside where you don't have to pay!....

One of the most beautiful temples in Thailand. Incredible detail and well maintained. Make sure to go in the caves. It's worth it for the price. There's also a museum of the artists that designed the temple, close by. Plenty of food vendors and some restaurants around the area.

I was sceptical about seeing yet another temple and I'm so glad that I did it anyway. Think fairytale-like charm of glistening in the sun white castle. Insides don't have the same effect but it was interesting to observe modern moralistic murals. For additional 50baths you can go through atmospheric cave of arts. There is also the most elegant WC nearby and some stalls with food and souvenirs.

I've visited it about twenty times, always excited to visit it, it's a beautiful temple, they did a wonderful job. For the Buddhist, I took a few pictures not easy, there were a lot of people, I went there during the Covid period, it was magnificent, there was no one. Now the entrance fee is 100 Baht

A temple like no other! You could walk around for hours marvelling at the incredible work and intricate designs. Truly magical feeling and well worth the visit. Good price to enter. Amazing photo opportunities!

Incredible. The 100THB entrance fee is well worth it. The grounds are extensive and social media fans will have a field day despite several no photo zones. Expect to spend at least 90 minutes here. Note to self.. sunglasses required.. the white and mirror tiles are very reflective.. As far as the artistry and craftsmanship goes.. this temple has it all.. including some tongue in cheek pop culture references to help bestow lessons in virtue and sacred duty to family. Pick a clear day, the temple offers several outdoor photo spots. Also great to see several tourists here on a Saturday. Thumbs up!.

Beautiful work of the architect and artist. Looks very epic. The entrance fee is 100 baht. There is ab art gallery with artist's painting, they are very interesting and deep. On the territory you can also enjoy some small waterfalls, Golden Gahesha display hall, wishing well and add your wish on a silver plate on a tree, and walk around. Meditation hall was close for visitors.

Absolutely beautiful temple that has lots of 'Easter eggs' or interesting finds. After seeing it again 6 years after my first time I'm still in awe. I'd definitely recommend going inside as you get to see things in much better detail though I didn't get the chance to do so this time.

This is probably my favorite temple in Thailand. The White Temple glistens in the light, and makes it even more beautiful. The complex also has an art cave, and a museum. Don’t forget to dresses appropriately. There are also food shops in front, and by the parking if you get hungry. We went here from Chiang Mai and took around 3hrs by van. Still we recommend going here despite the distance.

I visited this work of art over a weekday in October 2023. Pros 1. Free parking 2. Entry 100 THB per person 3. The whole place is a photo spot 4. It is eye catching and has a detailed design. I liked the design and intricate details. 5. The toilets are at another level. The yellow building in the pictures is actually the toilet. It looks stunning. 6. There are several souvenirs and food shops on premise. Considerations 1. The building is mostly open. Please carry an umbrella to save yourself from the Sun. 2. Please wear full length clothes. 3. The place is full of tourists, it might get crowded. 4. The place might not be considered as a temple for some people.

First of all, I'm not a 'Temple Person', but I'm really amazed by this White Temple. It's so stunning, amazing design and color themed. Many spots where you can take nice photos. People are a lot but still able to walk around and take many nice photos. It's definitely a must visit if you are coming to Chiang Rai.

This temple is one of the best places I have visited in the last 6 months of traveling Thailand - It costs 100 baht to enter, Although the grounds around are free to walk around and they’re very nice Make sure you dress appropriately, and early if you can, There were maybe 6 others when we went at 8:30am. I highly recommend visiting the ‘Cave of Art’ for 50 baht. Make sure you have a good detailed look at the painted walls inside the temple! You will see many interesting things, I won’t ruin it here (You can google image white temple inside) but it was a major highlight for me and I found it surprising and interesting. The art galleries located there are also filled with amazing art Make sure you visit!

Absolutely mesmerising!! The structure is absolutely amazing, there's a lot to cover. The entire place is beautifully planned and maintained. The cave art is really beautifully done up! There are loads of restaurants nearby, so you can grab a quick coffee and lunch as well.

Entry fee is 100Baht per person. It is an architectural marvel! Loved how beautiful it looked. It definitely gets crowded, go in the morning to avoid the rush hours. Do carry a cap to cover your head, the sun gets too strong; and of course, dress modestly, cover your knees and shoulders! Make sure you have ample time to walk around and explore the beautiful campus.

The legendary masterpiece temple created by Arjarn Chalermchai. The white temple is once in a lifetime visit. Pictures don’t do it justice. The level of detail and the meaning behind each piece was unbelievable. There’s an entry fee and there was several sections that they won’t allow filming. There’s also free art gallery on the side for visiting. The one of the kind temple is a must visit once in Thailand.

This is one of the most unique and beautiful temple I have visited so far. Entry fee is 100 BHT per person. I recommend visiting it early morning at 8 AM when the temple opens after that all tourist buses comes and make the place crowded. You must take pictures while entering the temple as you can't come back.

So very impressive. Unlike any temple you've ever seen before. The artist who is leading the construction and creation of this complex is beyond talented. I'd highly recommend going to the free gallery to see his work (just outside the exit). Definitely worth visiting. There's shops and food in the immediate surrounding area too.

It’s a gorgeous temple. The architecture and the intricate details are just so beautiful. You can easily spend 30 minutes around here and there are many cafes and restaurants around where you can have a coffee or a snack. It’s easy to skip over temples in Thailand, especially after you’ve been to so many but this is one definitely cannot be missed!

So much art to see. You could easily spend 3 hrs here but no more than that is needed. 2 hours you will still see it all! It’s a must see with so much beauty and definitely do the art cave exhibit. Only 50 baht!! You can’t take picture inside the temple so do not miss out on the breathtaking art inside with all his unique ways of integrating modern times with ancient times. STUNNING

This is a must visit if you like sight seeing. This is known as the black temple. It is very unique and so much history to these temples. You will not be disappointed visiting this temple. Approximately 2-3 hours away from Chang Mai but you can book day tours with local. Well worth the visit here. Very warm here.

Found this interesting if a little strange, not like any other museum I have been to. It was a very hot, humid day too when we went so I wasn't really feeling it. I would say it's worth going to see, though . 90 TBH each fee .

My boyfriend mentioned that was his favorite places we’ve been to in Chiang Rai because the museum was surrounded by nature. The area has a very cool atmosphere despite our visit being in the middle of the afternoon. The complex had several houses/buildings which showcases the art and statues. There are several that you can only view from the outside. There is also an area with their rescued stray cats just by the first big house at the entrance. We also recommend getting the tiny pineapples at the store by the parking area. They are sweet, and costs only 20baht.

Very interesting museum with so much to see! Stunning artwork and a fascinating peek into the life of the artist. I particularly enjoyed having a guided tour. The local artisan stalls at the end of the visit are a lovely touch.

The Black House takes a look at the darker side of art and society. Stunningly dramatic structures form a large, amazing complex that was once the home of a national artist and a thriving creative colony. Every building is an adventure!

Rather than a temple, this place is not only a museum, it is an artist’s hoard of collectibles. And you can see his favourite colour is black. Expect to see animal hides including humongous crocodile skins, a full set of elephant bones (minus tusks of course) shells, water buffalo horns by themselves of made into all kinds of furniture, paintings and sculptures. Amongst other things. It’s quite a diverse collection.

Pretty unique artworks. Got a spooky feeling in some spots seeing the remains of dead animals. But overall I had a unique experience about artwork. Some artwork had a QR code against it which has a instagram filter which has creates some animation. Entrance fee of 80 baht.

I loved this museum, and walking aimless in the park around, we went at the end of the day and it was really peaceful, an uncommon but yet pleasant feeling of letting your imagination wandering freely. My teenagers boys found it a bit repetitive though, I quite agree as there is many identical pieces (a lot of animals skins) but the atmosphere is unique and well worth the visit. If, like me, you were a big fan of the universe of the video game Myst you will certainly experience something with this place too.

The arts and crafts are wonderfully mysterious. The temple is amazing. Too bad, the staff isn't friendly at all. We paid for the entrance but didn't show any value of hospitality there.

The Baan Dam Museum is one of the most interesting spaces of Chiang Rai. It is located in a big field and there around 40 different buildings insight, not all of them are open to the public but you can see a lot. I liked the fact that it is kind of interactive, in the main building you have QR codes that you can scan and it makes the paintings come to live. Also the design of the wooden furniture and the different shapes of the building are some of the most interesting parts of the museum. I have only put four stars instead of five because I didn’t like seeing the living animals being in a very limited space. There were two big bulls and cats in a cage. There are also many skins, hair and bones of dead animals. As visitors we are not informed regarding how were these animals treated.

Such a wild experience. If you're sensitive to phallic displays or don't want to expose your kids to tons of wooden phalluses I don't recommend this place. However if you're fine with them. Then it's a really fun place to wander around and enjoy all the different buildings and exhibitions. The art in the big house is really cool and using your phone you can make it come to life. Entrance fee is 80 baht. Definitely worth a visit!

It's like entering the artist's mind. So many objects of curiosities . The main museum is made of teak and it's impressive. I wish we had spent more time in the Black temple than the blue and white temple.

Each building, adorned with dark, ornate carvings and sculptures, revealed a deeper, almost mystical, side of local artistry. Exploring the interiors, the intricate and sometimes eerie art pieces evoked a sense of wonder and curiosity. The combination of wood, animal bones, and unique artifacts showcased the darker, more enigmatic side of Thai art and culture. The serene environment within the compound allowed for an immersive experience, while the free parking and convenient location as part of the travel hub made it accessible to curious travelers like myself.

Fantastic - beautiful and absolutely worth the visit. Plenty of parking available through overflow parking lots. Many different artists showcase their pieces here in a great setup. Massage and local merchants have also shop there. You can easily spend 2-3 hours here. Would come again, in my mind on #2 for Chiang Rai

If you're looking to quench your thirst or grab a bite to eat, there are two small local food and drink stalls available. Additionally, a souvenir shop is situated near the car park for those looking to purchase some memorabilia.

This is another must if you are in Chiang Rai region, you can very seldom see such high quality sculpting, art, and creativity in the same place. There is a very low entrance fee 80 baht per person. There are shops around with food, juices, coffee and fruits. Big parking easily accessible with scooter. Very big like from my side :)

Quite an interesting museum. Not too large. The art is interesting and there's lots of phallic stuff, so yeah, heads up. I would've like it to have a bit more stuff. The place is nice and it's a good visit it just felt like it could've had more. Maybe having a more structured experience might also help because it wasn't very clear where to go or in what order and at some point I just found myself wondering what to do next.

The Viking-themed Baan Dam Museum offers a distinctive experience that's quite different from your average museum visit. Unlike my experiences at other museums, I felt the need for some guidance or descriptive information to better navigate and appreciate the exhibits

Not bad as a museum. A lot of exotic animal skin in the exhibit and gory paintings at times. It's dark in nature, hence the name black museum.

Interesting art museum. The main attraction is the house right at the entrance as most of the other houses are locked off so you can only peek inside through the doors. The paintings in the main building can be animated when scanning a QR-Code next to the painting which is a cool feature. There’s a lot of crocodile skins and antlers as well as a few bear skins. If you’re not fond of seeing such things then I wouldn’t recommend visiting. There’s also an influence from other countries such as Indonesia and India. I personally wouldn’t visit it again but it’s definitely worth a visit.

The Black Temple is a private art museum comprising a mixture of traditional northern Thai buildings with unconventional and contemporary architecture, designed by Thawan Duchanee. Really recommend visiting, it’s not overly crowded like other popular touristic temples and it’s worth the visit since it’s different than traditional thai art.

I absolutely loved this place. Lots of visual inspiration and artwork. Fantastic carvings and atmospheric buildings. It has some quite explicit exhibits but eloquently expresses life, death and facets of humanity.

Depends what kind of art you like. After paid the entrance you will see the main building, different feeling like other museums , new experiences of wood arts & animals specimens , but after this you can found many many stuff on other building , look like not really precious.

This place is created by Thai famous artist who’s known for aggressive art style. It shows that art is subjective. Personally this is not my cup of tea, there are too many animal remains and male private parts as a part of the display. It’s a good walk from the blue temple down the road. I’m sure PETA would have a field day at this place.

We availed our temple tour, and this came last. Per our tour, this is not a temple but a museum of the dark side of Thai art. The area is extensive. We were able to get a good rest in this place. On the back side, you can stay in a greenery area where you can sit or take good pictures. The arts inside the house has its own QR wherein the art will move if you scan it. Well worth the visit. Take your time as there is a lot to see. Only 80bht entry. Can buy drinks etc on the grounds of the museum. Take lots of pictures as there are some very strange items on display. A bit of walking to do but mostly flat ground.

Very pretty on the eye but no writing or history so you don’t know what you’re looking at. I would have liked some information but still a cool experience. They have a rock garden which is very enjoyable for 10 minutes or so.

Great museum that houses many interesting artistic buildings. The main building is a nice contrast compared to the White Temple on the other side of town.

Overall it is a very beautiful museum and the buildings are incredibly made! Impressive! Only 80 THB entry which is fair because it is a huge property with tons of things to see. The only thing I didn't like is that in the buildings are tons of dead animals presented....

What an amazing museum!! The buildings, the artwork, the story of the museum was all very nice. The AR concept using QR codes & insta was absolutely brilliant. 2 hours is enough to see the essentials, but would recommend 3-4 hours for this place. 100bht entry fee.

Set of houses designed/built by a well-known artist. When we toured here, there are multiple cool AR arts installed (you need instagram and internet to scan a QR code, and place it directly over paintings to see some effects). There's a person singing inside the main house. You can enter a few houses, while others are available just for display/sightseeing as you walk around the complex. There are stores down the path. As you exit near the car park, there is a souveneir shop selling post cards and artworks.

It will not help but be surprised to see the bright yellow twisted clock tower at the intersection of Phaholyothin and Banpaprakan roads. Built in 2008, Clock Tower honors King Bhumibhol Adulyadej, the clock tower is the idiosyncrasy of Chalermchai Kositpipat, the artist who built the famous White temple.

Wait till late afternoon.. Sun from the west will pop the golden clock tower against the shop windows in a way that makes your eyes water. Use the middle island on the western side for a selfie.. the clock tower itself is sort of a traffic circle with no real place to stand, cling too, or even hover.. and even on a Saturday afternoon at 5pm cars were still flying by.. (pick your battles and your time and be safe..) Enough said.. its a easy visit landmark for spectacular photos in the chaos of traffic in the not-so-city-center of Chiang Rai.

An iconic monument in Chiang Rai. A golden, ornate clock tower in the middle of a major intersection in the city centre. Most people come to see it at 7, 8 or 9 pm when it is lit by changing colour lights accompanied by music. In the past I would give this 5, but the current show is shorter and there are no moving parts, as in the past, hence only 4. I'm sure they will reinstate the full show sometime.

One of Chiang Rai’s iconic place to visit. This clock tower was constructed in 2005 in honor of Queen Sirikit. This work of art by Achan Chalermchai Kositpipat helped boost Chiang Rai’s Tourism. With its ideal location, people can also visit the shops, temples and other attractions easily. I would advise visitors to get hotel near clock tower for easy access within the city.

Gaudy and ornate. I like it! The experience isa bit diminished be the enormous blank billboards behind it and the roaring tailpipes of passing cars but the clock tower itself is pretty impressive.

The Chiang Rai clock tower looks very iconic. A golden clock tower right at the busy traffic. This was designed by one of Thailand's national artists in honor of Queen Sirikit in 2005. If you manage to be nearby at 19:00, 20:00, or 21:00, you'll be able to witness its sound display. It's quite difficult to take a perfect shot -unfortunately- since this is right at an intersection where traffic is busy. In addition, nearby this beautiful clock tower is an old 'clock tower'.. I forgot what street it was but it's near the market place - a stone's throw from the golden clock tower - I included a not so perfect snap as well as I just saw it when I was passing by 😊

It's pretty, looks great at night. Watching cars use a roundabout, hilarious and a little terrifying. I even drove through it a couple of times, freaky.

Not much to say about this one. It's not traditional, newly built later. You can find it easily on the way to The White Temple or Singha Park from the Bus terminal. Not many tourists here. Everyone just go here and take a picture far from the pavement then keep walking.

As far as clock towers go, this one's pretty darn cool. The light and sound show is a nice gimmick. Can you spend more than 5 mins here? Probably not. But there's lots of nice restaurants and bars in the nearby area so I'd say it's worth checking out.

It is unfortunate that the bazaar is not as lively as it once was compared to previous reviews. We wandered upon the area on a Sunday night to find that less than 50% of the shops were operational. Wishing the best for the shops that were affected by the current situation.

I really enjoyed this night bazaar where there was a square with food stalls. Just grab a table and start ordering from any stall that catches your eye. Best of all is that they will deliver to your table. I started my meal by having a set of 8 pork skewers for ฿80. The pork was tender and so well-seasoned. It also came with a curry dipping sauce. I also ordered a chicken coconut curry soup (฿100) which had a good flavour. You may come across a Japanese stall that sells fried food. A plate of 6 shrimps comes up to just ฿40. On the other hand, you can get a plate of mixed items (฿60), which includes battered onion rings, long bean, broccoli, sweet potato, chicken tender and shisamo. But this can get a bit much, so do order it when sharing with others. While I was here, I noticed many people were ordering a claypot hot pot. Do try to arrive before 7pm to get a table.

nice place in central point of the city to spend time in the evening. a very large selection of stands with various regional dishes. As sweet, as salty. There are also tables available where you can sit quietly and consume what you have purchased. maybe you'll be lucky to have live music. Absolutely recommend :)

The seafood soup from the stall in my photo was thoroughly underwhelming for 80 baht. The cold beer made up for it to an extent, however.

I had a great time there. It’s kinda hidden and also relax place. Relaxing live music, ‘cheap food’ and also great atmosphere close to the center. Totally worth it from Tuesday until Thursday. Fried chicken and beef cashew rice are the best. The live shows are amazing if there is a group partying.

It was avery nice place to eat, shop and to chill. There's a cultural show on a stage to entertain viewers. Food stalls are everywhere, there's so much more you can choose. Souvenir shops are also very nice.

I'm not really a shopper, but I participated in this market just to have something to do. I'm so happy I did. The quantity of shopping stretched a few blocks. There were plenty of varieties of food and two stages with entertainment. Each show was about 20 minutes long. I saw a traditional Thai dance show, two ladyboy shows, and several sets of western music. This particular market closed at midnight. I went to an all-night market in Bangkok and was overwhelmed. I wasn't looking for anything but I found some very nice gift items for friends. My biggest impression of this market is how much fun it was. I spent 3 hours here. Highly recommend.

I recently visited the Chiang Rai Saturday Night Blazer and was blown away by the incredible selection of food, music, and shopping options available. The number of different food vendors was truly impressive, offering everything from traditional Thai dishes to international cuisine. The overall night bazaar experience is alright, but the food court is a real disappointment because it's such a waste of money and stomach space though. We bought quite a few dishes that isn't added to this review and only 2-3 dishes that are good and the rest are horrible. Imagine this: when you put the foods in your mouth, you tasted of what the dish should tasted like, but after your second or third bite then the flavor is all disappear. Majority of the dishes are only get a few bites then we don't go back for more.

This is the most famous night market in Chiang Mai city. The items sold at Night Bazaar are mostly handicrafts and handmade goods of the Chiang Mai region in particular and the northern provinces of Thailand in general, such as silver carvings, traditional hand embroidery, carved wood. notch…. The goods here are quite rich, diverse and most importantly, cheap. However, a note for visitors when buying, remember to bargain the price. Specifically, you should pay the price down from 20 to 30%

The bazaar itself is mostly items you’ll see at any bazar, but the “food court” area us great! A lot of stands to choose from and you can get to taste different types of food in one place. Highly recommended

Great night bazaar with a wide selection of foods to choose from. All the locals mingle with the tourists in this place and there is even a wide selection of performers on stage during night! Absolutely great!

Definitely smaller than other markets I’ve been to but it was nice. The food was all between 70-100 id say for a meal, so a bit pricier but not expensive at all. I hope when I go again I get to see a performance on stage.

One of the liveliest and fun night markets I have been to! There is a big stage with live music and lovely Thai people dancing to the Thai tunes. They really were having the time of their life and was lovely to watch. A lot of food available, and a lot of variation. Highly recommended!

It's a short alley with a variety of stalls that sell fruits, snacks and souvenir items. The food are reasonably priced. We had a cup of sweet strawberries and mango shake. You can find Tshirts, elephant pants, handmade local bags, trinkets etc.

A very nice night bazaar to walk around if you are visiting Chiang Rai. This is my first time to have a hotpot like this style, they have many different stalls that provide different types of meat and are packed into a set. You can walk around and choose which type or how much portion you want. Absolutely nice place to chill.

The only place where you can find varieties of Thai food and souvenir at night in Chiang Rai. Very crowded during dinner time. There are lots of Thai street food here. Prices are reasonable. Plenty of seats but still quite full. Most tourists are here. There are also some other restaurants at the shop lots around serving foreign food like western food, Italian etc. There was live band singing at night and you may find lots of Thailand souvenir stalls around too. Great place for food and shops.

It's a nice big park to visit if you are around but not (yet) exceptional to go there just for that. I came there several years ago and I could see thst they have expanded to new activities and nice track to visit inside. However, nothing much to do apart to enjoy the tour, taking picture of the scenery. There is a thai tea shop there. We did the tour by renting a golf cart where you can drive yourself and visit at your own rhythm. I hope to see it expand more to make it 5 stars

had a 2-hour bike trip around the place. big and well maintained. lots to see. don't rent the bike at the information centre if you can. very hard seat, no basket, so-so condition. there should be other bike rental spots of better condition.

Very beautiful farm,4 hours could fly fast in there. Well organized farm designed by Japanese designer on 1986. Golf cart driving is a nice to try, you could rent it for 700 Baht.

Such a beautiful park. Free entrance, the ideal way to explore it is with your scooter ( or car ). For the activities inside you'll have to pay, but it's also really nice to just explore it , enjoy the sunset ( there is a 7/11 not far away. If you are on budget you can just buy some drinks and snacks there and enjoy it by the lake )

The place is huge with amazing scenic places. The restaurant is good. A great place to bring kids for bike trailing , zip lining, ATV trails.

Loved our time here!! We hired bikes for 200 bath each and just loved it! You don’t really need to be longer than 2 hours unless you stop and pay for climbing or a drink!

If you have time, do visit this park. It is near the white temple and as such can be planned accordingly. There is no entry fee but as the park is huge, it’s recommended you book some form of transport. They have several options available, and we went with bicycling. They have a dedicated cycling route, which is scenic and great. However during the day, if the sun is up it can dehydrate you, so do carry refreshments to keep you going. You will even come across eateries if you need to refill up. The park is full of greenery and as you drive along you come across a lake with swans adding a magical feeling. Thereafter, you come across a ranch where they have cafes. We missed the mini-zoo on the way so we headed back. It’s a small one but does the job. Plus you can feed and interact with some of the animals. Once done we reached back to the starting point where we got some refreshments and headed back to the town.

Riding golf cart enjoying the park! Arrived there early to hire golf cart and drove along the path visiting beautiful land area, park and mini zoo with birds, peacocks, bunnies, guinea pigs, cows, goats 🐐, mini pigs, giraffes 🦒, ostriches and zebras. There was also adventure activities like zip lining, ATV, scooters, biking, electric biking (which could go really fast and more for adults or young adults). When we were there we could smell forest burning which was quite annoying, I think they should seriously consider to do something about it because it was such a shame that such an amazing place was ruined because of the air you’d to breathe in PM2.5. All in all everyone in my group enjoyed the place.

Huge Park, you need transport to get around the place and see the different parts of the Park. You can hire Golf Buggys which are able to use a special lane. You can do an organised tour via open sided bus. There are restaurants here and a shop at the main entrance. The Singha Emblem at the entrance to the park seems to be the most popular photographic spot, particularly for selfies.

Totally recommend! I was doubting if I should go there as it seemed to be just a park. I decided to go and it made my day. I rent an electric bike and it was super fun. You can enjoy a cup of alternative coffee made in the wild next to a lake with swans. Also you can rent a bicycle and explore even more roads.

We went there in the afternoon so it was a little hot and sunny, but the view was absolutely stunning! A huge park with tea plantation, flower field, farm and lake, and a few restaurants. Though you can drive in, you can only stop at 3 places. To fully explore the park, you rent an e-bike or golf cart. I would recommend 2-3 hours to explore this place. We came on Saturday, and there is an outdoor food market (Japanese themed). near the lake until nighttime. It is just fun to explore the park using an electric vehicle, and plenty of photo op. Entrance is free, need to pay for optional electric vehicle rental though.

Super easy to get too, we took our scooter and found it really easy to navigate. Once we arrived we parked our bike and just started walking. We opted out of the golf cart we we thought the park was walkable but turns out that not many people walk the whole park ( haha) we really enjoyed our time at the petting zoo, you can pay 50 baht and they give you a little basket full of food to feed to the animals. We also walked up to the tea farm and over looked the fields, it made for a really great day.

Loved the park! It was a really nice getaway from the city. It is way more beautiful than in the photos which were on the maps. We took bicycles to go around the park, it took 1h 45min (rent for the bike is 2h), it was fully enough. There is also a mini zoo with cute animals. Recommend!

Beautiful, well-maintained park. 150B and there's a little shuttle bus (like the one at Universal Studios) that runs every 15-30 min to each point of interest. I suggest visiting after the white temple as it's nearby. Lovely place to wind down or go on a date. There's also a mini zoo and a theme park where you can partake in a little Zipline. Can get very very hot though!

Not many things for travelers. If you stay here, you can spend one day to the park. It combines both zoo, outdoor park and many tea plantation. Many families come here with children during the weekend. Near the White Temple so if you have time, take a look.

Great park with a variety of activities to do. Recommended to rent a bike, you go through tea plantations, flowers and a little lake with swans and lots of fishes, the views are stunning. The food at the restaurant is good but consider an extra charge of 17% to the prices listed on the menu (vat+service tip). The souvenir shop sells a lot of different items, most of them locally produced or from the Chiang Rai Area, fair prices.

Peaceful and calm. The emerald buddha is so gorgeous. There is a museum in the temple too but I did not enter due to time limit.

Beautiful gardens meets the eye as one walks through the gate. The temple of interest further back and busy with devotees offering prayers. The temple is small and unusually also lit up with a green light (behind mosaic tiles) adding to the aura of mystery and reverence. Wat Phra Kaew offers two temples.. shrines and a museum all on the same ground.. and if that's not enough.. let's add a moat and a Chedi. Worthy of an afternoon visit and if the museum was open I could have spent even more time there.

Very peaceful temple just on the outskirts of the centre. Beautiful architecture as expected and the inside of the temple is so serene. The emerald Buddha is really quite a sight. Noticed they offered introduction to Buddhism classes on certain days where you can ask questions about the religion which I thought was a wonderful idea.

Located near the market, this place seems popular with locals. There is a museum with a collection of Lanna Buddhist artifacts. The grounds are very peaceful to walk. There are also signs posted around that tell the story of the Emerald Buddha, of how it was moved around and discovered.

The main hall is beautiful and holds on "Phra Chao Larn Thong," a buddha that said to he the most beautiful example of Pala empire buddha casting. There is also an interesting museum inside. Mae Salong is best explored by driving, as the attractions are fairly far apart. Love the cool weather and Chinese Yunan food and culture. Enjoy the mountain view, tea plantation, hilltop temple and try the local food. Stay a night, or two.

Doi Mae Salong is another place that is worth visiting in Chiang Rai. There are many tea plantations planted on the mountain, beautiful, clean and green. feel happy and fresh when visit here. You can stop by to taste tea or drink coffee on the mountain. There are restaurants at the village can choose as you prefer.

Most beautiful temple I visited in the Whole Thailand. I went to visit this temple a day after visiting the white temple. Honestly, I had little expectations but I knew that t was worth the visit. First thing I found was that there was no fee to visit it, and that is somehow still under construction. It might be that blue is my favourite colour or just because the place is state of the art, but after a while it made me sight on delight. So, I decided to gather some courage and harness a supposedly photo with my girlfriend to bent the knee and ask her to marry me at the entrance. No need to say that she returned a shaky but resounding Yes!. Some day we shall come back.

Interesting Temple that is painted blue, personally this temple is not worth the „hype“. This region has many more beautiful temples to offer. There’s a lot of public toilets nearby as well as a few mandatory shops. What bothered me were automated robots, one of them a skeleton, that „prayed“ to the gods. They were quite terrifying and felt very out of place. There were also many Instagram focused tourists here that didn’t warship the temple inside. Lots of them in very skimpy outfits that were very inappropriate. Wouldn’t visit again. There’s currently no entrance fee or rules regarding clothing.

The temple is breathtaking and well worth a visit. Simply stunning must be seen to be believed! A 3 hour drive from Chiang Mai, but on the way, there is plenty to see to stop and to stretch your legs,hot springs, etc. Entry is free, and parking is in the grounds itself, so easy for the elderly. The facilities are clean, and there are plenty of vendors for drinks and food.

I was awe struck at the entrance. This temple is referred to as the Blue Temple. It's absolutely beautiful and there's no admission fee. Besides the temple, there is a museum, art gallery, and a couple of other structures. I spent 2 hours here and loved every moment of it. There is food and several souvenir shops as well. Of all the temples in Thailand I found this one very captivating, escaping from the traditional reds and golds was a sea of blue coloured decor adorning the entire building. It was free to enter which is a huge bonus, and not far plus easy to drive to on scooter from the main city. The place wasn’t very busy when I went also which was surprising on a beautiful sunny afternoon. Well worth a visit if you’re into seeing the temples as it just felt fresh and different to the many you see around Thailand.

This blue temple was amazingly awesome with arts and environment👍. Free entrance and super beautiful for blue lovers. Day and night scenery is a totally different world. It's a must visit if you're in the area. A beautiful and unique temple. Not only is it well maintained, but they're still building new areas. It's all made in concrete by skillful artists. Beautiful blue temple ! Maybe not as impressive as the white temple, but you need to see it too! You can take as many pictures as you want in there, not like the white temple. And there's a blue ice cream there, it's a delight....I'm so far away now, and I want to taste it again 🤤

Unlike the White Temple and Black Temple, the Blue Temple is a true place of worship. Designed by the student of the artist who designed White Temple, this place is a mix of Buddhism and some Hinduism. Unlike the White Temple’s famous inner sanctum where the statue of Buddha sits, here you are allowed to take photos. Many come to pray and of course tourist sites in front of the statue and take great shots of the serene statue. There are also gimmicky ice creams on sale by vendors which you can hold up to take a picture with the temple in the background. Most Chinese tourists are doing that. Tip: as this is a real temple, be aware there is a dress code for ladies. And just outside the temple are some local eateries. The food here is cheap and good.

This Blue and gold temple will certainly entertain you as much as the famous white temple! Free entry and located not far from the white temple. Pictures are allowed to be taken inside unlike the white temple. Beautiful architecture and the gold really compliments the blue. Around the site there are shops for souvenirs, toilets and free parking. This temple was actually busier than the white temple and for good reason. If you like the thai temples then this one you should not miss if you are in Chaingmai!

The scorching heat during my visit was eased by the refreshing coconut water I bought from a nearby stall.

Another architectural marvel here is Chiang Rai. Beautiful structure and outstanding craftsmanship say it all. I was super impressed with the dragons guarding the main temple. The area is smaller compared to the White Temple, but it’s good to come early if you want to avoid the crowd. We reached early morning and were happy (peacefully got the pictures). And please do try the ice cream with pea-flower sticky rice, served at the shops adjacent to the temple.

A beautiful touristy Temple The architecture detail is great. Recently built to pray for the pandemic period. Not much of a heritage background and do not see the monks managing the temple there. It is a beautiful building for photos and viewing purposes. Easy to access by driving. But will not return.

From our Klook tour, this temple came second on our itinerary. The first one was the white temple. In this blue temple, we saw some monks praying inside. Our guide, Danny, explained really well all the details of the arts inside. We stayed here in less than an hour and grabbed some blue ice cream outside which was pretty good. The place is informative on the hill tribes and is a must do before setting out on a hill tribe trek. It is unfortunate the information has not been updated in the last decade

Very good museum. Detailed description of the hill tribe populations of northern Thailand. We learned many things about the history and habits of the people living around here. And the shop is also very nice.

An information center about original inhabitants culture and history. A bit old but okay.

Very confusing. On one hand, the film played at the beginning of the visit is very informative and points out the exploitation of tribes (especially longneck Karens) for tourism. On the other hand, they offer tours to see these tribes, including elephants riding! Claiming that if tourists don't ride the elephants, the tribes won't have money and will go begging homeless in Bangkok. That's ridiculous - the whole concept is misleading. It is an NGO introducing a birth control (hence the name Cabbage and Condoms for the restaurant downstairs) at hilltribes, so one needs to wonder what are their true intentions. We went in order to find out more about the hilltribes and to decide when to visit one, after the museum visit, we decided to skip that experience altogether. The museum and the NGO are fishy,to say the least.

Museum looks like it was last touched in 2000. Articles are out of date. Exhibits are not protected. Labels and descriptions are repeated throughout. There are also signs saying don't walk through a spirit gate, but part of the museum is through a mock spirit gate. Don't visit human zoos, but we have a tour where you can see hilltribe members. Don't buy hilltribe items, but our gift shop sells hilltribe items (as explained by staff). It sends a very conflicting message and I think some of it is unethical...

Very nice museum. Ticket is 50 baht, they offer you a cup of tea or coffee and you can watch a video about different tribes of the area. The video is available in different language including french. You can then visit the little museum. There is a lot to read about opium.

So interesting!!! I'm so happy I went! Started with a very informative video and a glass of tea or coffee. The exhibit has lots of information in English. I'd read a review that it was small and didn't take much time. But I think I was there about an hour and a half. I suppose it depends on how interested you are. Lots of history, from hundreds of years to recent, about opium. Well worth the 50 baht entrance.

Though it is an old fashion small museum, it is worth a visit. The film at the beginning of the visit is ver informative. It is a great option to the Karen Long Neck zoo farms. Where people are used as toys for exhibition. The money from the museum goes to development projects for the tribal people.

A bit old school but I must say very informative. If you are interested in the topic and want a less “paid tourist trap” view about tribes and their cultures as well as opium trade, worth going for a couple of hours. + it is only 50 baht per person.

The most authentic place I found about tribes and villages in the northern part of Thailand :) It’s a small, informative and well-structured museum where you will learn a lot about the tribes, their beliefs, their peculiarities and how you should behave if you go visit them. Plus, you can also buy some artefacts to support them. Definitely worths a visit! :)

Probably give you insight of the different hill tribe in Thailand. Know the do and don't before you wanted to visit the tribe village and want you will be expecting. The pda inside the museum also offer customise tour which can range from half day to 4 days 3 nights trekking or educational. They are non profit organisation that put the money they earned into good use for the tribe.

Lovely place to understand and learn the tribe of Thailand. You can easily spend 1-2 hours at leisure and chill around with a free coffee:) Entry is 50 baht.

Worth a visit! Gives a good perspective on the hill tribes and a full history of where the tribes came from. Could do with a revival and update in some places but it needs more support for that to happen

There is so much to see here! Prepare for a lot of stairs and the best views ( don't worry you can still get the views as there is also a transport car going to the top). So you'll love each and every of the 3 main buildings here. Definitely worth a visit but bring a bottle if you're going on day time.

An amazing display of architecture and a true joyful experience in every way. The Temple doesn't allow pictures but it's painting truly represent time and the Buddha touch through it.

A beautiful temple we stopped by on our way to Singha Park. The campus is huge and there are a total of two temples with a pagoda here. The main attraction is the huge towering statue of the Goddess herself. We need to climb a flight of stairs to reach the top. On reaching we can even reach the eye of the statue through an elevator. We need to get tickets for that and the view from up there is amazing. Plus the area is adorned with beautiful pure white statues of gods and goddesses.

3 Experiences in 1 This has been our favourite site so far in terms of temples, museums and statues. You could easily spend 2 or 3 hours here exploring all the buildings and beautiful surroundings. The Pagoda building is huge and impressively laid out over 9 floors. So comfy shoes and take your time on every floor it's an excuse to rest before the next flight of stairs too. The Temple itself is stunning in white with glistening gems all over her interior and exterior - a beautiful and spiritual place oozing an atmosphere the "real" White Temple could only dream of. Recommended you go a couple of hours before sunset and catch nature setting behind the Goddess. Its almost impossible to understand the scale.of this structure until.tou stand at her feet and look up. The only fee is for the Goddess all other buildings/temples are donation only. GODDESS OF MERCY - 80 baht if you want to go up to visit the inside of the Goddess Head, giving you the most magnificent view from the eyes of the goddess. The lift only operates till 5pm so if you're going for sunset then get the lift done first (we went back the next day) FOOD & DRINK Take some 20 baht notes or even better take all the change you've accumulated so far in Thailand. Everything for sale on site cost just 20 baht and the proceeds support the hospital and up keep.

very nice place with a lot to go around, peaceful place a bit of walking, can be helped with the local cars. temples are very nice, its not worth paying for go on top of the buddha though as there is nothing to see or do.... windows to look outside from up there are very small and dirty and the inside is nicely decorated with white dragons and monks,but really disappointing.

Free entrance, you have to pay 100 bth just in case u want to go to the top of the big statue. I recommend to go up there, really nice building details and views. There's 3 big temples, completely different from each other. There is car parking and some places to eat also. Good point to see the sunset.

This temple focusses on Chinese influence with the giant goddess statue. You can get a shuttle from the car park up to the base of the statue and get ticket for the lift (40 baht) that takes you up to head. You can then look out of her eyes and take in the views. The Thai temple was just as stunning, calm and serene. The chedi temple with 9 floors doesn’t have a lift so you have to climb the stairs.

It was absolutely fantastic. The Goddess is majestic and you can go inside and look at the city from the eye of the Goddess. The Pagoda is also very nice inside, there are 8 levels to reach and each level has a different Buddha

Beautiful Temple located on a hill. The view and the overall experience is fantastic. There is a lift that can take you to the Goddess' head on the 26th floor for a fee. Definitely worth it.

Very majestic and beautiful place to visit. Free entry, donated rice for orphans. Went up on lift for view out of giant goddess statue. Inside was amazing. So much to look at here. Food options really good also, and very reasonably priced.

My hostel owner recommended this place. Easy to drive scooter to here. No entry fee. Can take photo inside the temple. Unlike other temples, this one is influenced by Chinese culture. Many Chinese folktales and gods are decorated in the building. The atmosphere is more chill than the White Temple. Btw this temple is white as well so you can have some white check in pics.

One of my favorite temples surely! Come just before sunset and see the reflections on the temples change every minute. When it is dark, it is really beautiful too. Super unique temple, as there is an elevator inside the temple and you can literally see through Buddha's eyes. Really beautiful!

Just wow!! This is one of if not my most favorite temple in all of Thailand! You can easily spend 2-3 hours here. Be sure to arrange extra time because you will need it!!

Very pretty!! If you’re not fit enough to walk the stairs, you can actually hop on the operating “cars” over there. However, accessibility was not that great. It’s not downtown, so we came here by Grab in the late afternoon, and when we wanted to go back, there were no taxi’s around and we couldn’t find a Grab for a long time since it was raining and rush hour started. So it might be handy to check with taxi driver to pick you up later on, so you won’t be stuck.

It’s equally as beautiful as the White and Blue Temples, the big Buddha and the dragons are massive. We only saw a couple of tourists visiting the temple, you can pay 40bath for lift to get to her head and have a wonderful view (before 6pm).

This place feel unreal! I loved the way the staff welcomes you in the elevator. Interesting fact that we were told. The construction of this enormous statue costed 65.000.000 baht.

Another memorable trip. The are two structure; at the highest point, a large Buddha and next to it, a temple with 9 levels. Walked up the stairs to reach the base of the Buddha. Here you will find white carved Chinese horoscope statues. We didn't take the elevator to the eye of the Buddha, we should have but we were limited in time and we wanted to visit the other temple next to it. This one had multiple levels, each with a different Budda and each level getting smaller and smaller and the access getting smaller and smaller, as well. Until the last level in which the access it only narrow enought for one person. Lots of stairs on this visit! Don't forget to get a delicious cold green tea at the parking area for a small donation. PS we went in the low season so we didn't witness any line-ups or crowds.

Sitting on a mountaintop with green hills all around, it's super impressive even from a distance and just gets cooler as you get closer. We took the lift to the top floor to check out the view. Everything's clean and the views are amazing. Not too crowded.

Enormous Guan Yin Ma and spectacular view from the foot of the mountain. You can see this far far away before you reach the site. I really like this place so much! There got a free ride to the top of mountain and you can donate the tips box to buy medical equipment!

An enormous temple that consists of 3 buildings. They dedicated to Yaun Yin Buddha. You should expect a lot of walking in high elevations with tons of steps. Each buildings is marvelously crafted. They also offer free trolley up one of the mountain. At the time of our visit, we could not go up into the tall white building.

Enjoyed our visit to this Temple. Its well maintained. Beautiful big white Goddess of Mercy with 2 big white dragons along the steps. Its take quite a number of steps up to reach the top. You can also consider taking the buses and vehicle provided. A nine level of Pagoda. Worth climbing up the steps to the top of the Pagoda for the good view of the area. Do remember to make some donations to help upkeep the area. Its a beautiful place.

Really beautiful temples!! The white temple is really pretty inside and was completely empty of people. Beautiful day as well made it even better. I was so excited to learn that you can go up to the top of the Buddha and look out of her forehead. So so beautiful artwork inside.

A popular destination. However it’s worth seeing. Free entry apart for climbing inside the Buddha itself. At 79m it’s astonishing and so is the temple. I also recommend the eatery with shaded seating just next to the entrance which serves plates or food for 20 bhat.

This temple has a huge statue of Goddess of Mercy, which you can take a lift up to the head portion, where you can look out from her eyes and forehead. Below the goddess are two great dragons protecting the stairs. Though this temple might feel a bit more commercial, I think it is still worth a visit. There is also another side temple and a pagoda.

Wonderful place for worship of Kwan Yin Bodhisattva, or the Goddess of Mercy. The temple is decorated in the Chinese style, in contrast with most temples in Thailand. As the place is out of town, we took a Grab. For lunch nearby, consider the free vegetarian meal in the temple canteen, or Thai dishes such as rice with basil pork at the 20-baht eatery just next to the temple.

It's a good place but not everyone will like. It's more like a village tour where you will meet people from Karen tribe. It is said that they have long neck and hence the village named as Long neck Karen Village. People are very nice and they sell handicrafts. We think as part of this tour they must provide a guide who should explain about them this might make the tour more attractive.

Most of them are stuck in Myanmar. Long neck Karens weren’t there. They don’t inform the fact that you wont see most of the Long Neck people before you pay for the entrance fees. Feels like human zoo…. Not recommended

it was nice but a bit touristy, you have to pay to get in, in theory is to support them but felt a bit fake inside. Still pretty to see..watch out the tourist traps as they push you to watch dancing and then ask you money... Still good to learn more about those cultures. It is a nice stop by on your way to the golden Triangle 🛵 !

We paid the 300 baht per person entrance fee. There were NO long neck Karens to be seen or found (NOT EVEN ONE). Only nearly abandoned huts there, the ones that were not abandoned only had about 3 people that were a bit pushy to sell you stuff that you would basically find in any tourist shop. It also rained a few hours prior so everything was muddy and it was a bit slippery walking down to the village. FALSE ADVERTISEMENT and terrible experience and basically a tourist trap.

I got a real sense of hill tribes in this area. There are five tiny villages representing different tribes. All sit in front of their homes inviting photographs. There is a big trail around the villages so be ready for a workout getting around. I wore sports sandals was dumb. Study shoes required. 300 baht for foreigners, 200 baht for Thai. Having live exhibits deserves due payment. You will feel like you are in deep Thailand.

The longneck Karen Village. It was a great experience. My experience with the indigenous was Interesting to know and realise that they are not originally from Thailand. They settle their village by their own. The main economy for them is throw the visitors or tourists who help them buying the handicraft and art . So my advice is to help them . Visiting and living this experience with the Karen village.

Poor village with men working somewhere else and women staying home with kids and selling goodies to visitors. They are used to tourists and photos - that’s why you pay the entry fee of 300bhat to enter. The money goes to the community and is divided equally among the villagers. They live in huts 🛖 and it is sad to see. I much rather leave my money there than at a reg night markets. These people need the money and tourists is the only way women can make the money. If you feel uncomfortable taking photos, don’t. But they are used to it and gladly will take the photos with you. They know they are different and this is their culture that people want to experience.

Please help ecotourism and start visiting this village again. Sadly suffered a lot because of covid and they depend on the tourists for survival. Very pretty gold jewellery. very kind people.

300 baht to enter whole place seems slightly off, like like it's purely set up for tourists. Each family sells the same stuff but at reasonable prices. Worth seeing but the place does feel weird.

The long neck is awesome to see, but it really sucked to see how badly they were treating the elephants at the entrance. They had them chained up in a very small place for so many elephants and these guys were hitting them with sticks to make them do tricks. The elephants looked super stressed and unhappy, any small research of their behaviour could tell. The long neck ladies were really nice and friendly but there absolutely no reason to have elephants there once the village is already a nice place to see.

it's so nice to be in this place where you can actually see the hill tribes from Myanmar, which Thailand took them. they very nice village where they all made local produce of their own. They have nice fabrics. Nice souvenirs where you can buy from them.

I have mixed feelings about this place. While the people are friendly and genuinely nice, I didn't feel entirely comfortable. It seems inappropriate to observe their daily lives as if it's a spectacle, and that makes me uneasy.

It is a 250 Baht entry Fee, but the people are genuine and authentic.I enjoyed the experience.

Very interesting village just outside Chang Rai where the ladies have the longnecks,village is still traditional which makes it worth a visit.

The tradition of Karen women wearing these heavy brass rings around their necks is something special. Respect! They make colourful scarves on simple looms, which we diligently bought. And yet it felt like we were in a zoo.

Interesting but sad. Interesting to see something I’ve heard about all my life. I found the village and their handicraft skills amazing. Yes I felt obliged to buy something. They actually have those little long neck dolls we grew up with in the 70s which as a kid I found fascinating now as an adult I found very upsetting. Before you enter you see men working outside the village and charging you to enter As you enter and walk through there are no men to be seen Other tourists seem to think it’s their right to go and sit without speaking to these ladies and start taking pictures. Quite a few have babies on their knees as did the lady I sat and spoke to. Their village and craft skills are amazing but the ladies seem empty and not happy to be on show. I’m glad I have seen something like this but I would not do it again. I felt embarrassed to be looking at these women like you walk through a zoo

Definitely worth going, the trial is free! The views are great, make sure to already book a taxi for the way back, there are no taxi’s in the area around the waterfall and grabs also don’t come there. There are a lot of insects so if you don’t like that keep that in mind. Make sure to go early, the earlier the better, because there won’t be as much people, the roads will be less muddy, and the animals are waking up!

An amazing experience. Make sure that you wear appropriate footwear and take water, as the hike up to the waterfall isn't the easiest, it takes at least 20-30 minutes at a steady pace! Also, take swim wear and a towel for the chance to take a dip in/under the waterfall! Overall this place is great, quiet, and magical. Oh one more thing, take bug repellent!

Great waterfall, definitely worth a trip from Chiang Rai. Very quiet, we had the whole waterfall to ourselves. Walk takes about 30 mins to complete, take lots of water as it gets sweaty and mosquito repellent.

I enjoyed this waterfall visit. It was a decent drive outside of Chiang Rai, but worth it. The hike was easy through the national park, the path was well marked, and it was a glorious view when arriving to the waterfall. Don’t be afraid to get into the water. It was cool and refreshing. I recommend bringing water shoes if you plan to get into the water. Overall at nice trip and I recommend it. Cheers!

Beautiful, very tall waterfall even during dry season. The wind and mist that comes off it is incredible. The hike is well marked and relatively easy. Probably an hour or so round trip depending on ability level. The ground is uneven and slippery at points so be careful.

Free parking, no entrance fee. Plus it is very nice walk through the jungle and into the waterfall. Very nice nature, just driving throughout national park was amazing.

This was my second visit to this waterfall, the first being 5 years ago. Easy access from Chiang Rai, a 35 minute motorbike ride along well maintained roads. Access is free! The only toilets are located at the parking area. They were clean enough and had both squat and sit down style with water hose, but no paper or soap. The hike to the falls is around 3km round trip from the parking area. It's a little steep in some areas but easily achieved without training or special footwear. When you first pass under the entry sign, the trail splits left and right. Both trails end up at the waterfall, so you can take one path on the way up and the other path on the way down. And when you get about 200 meters from the waterfall the trail splits again, with both trails ending at the waterfall. The trail is well marked and well maintained all the way. It is slippery around the falls, as the water drops with such force that a misty wind is created and everything here is wet. Warning signs for snakes, but I didn't see any here on this day. I have seen the green pit vipers at other locations nearby though, so it's good to keep an eye out for them.

Really nice hike, takes about an hour in total. I would recommend to keep left and the way to the waterfall (mostly ascending path and a little bit kore challenging), and return with the other path which has a fee cool bamboo bridges with a flatter path. Took a swim at the bottom of the river waterfall, though I would recommend bringing an extra pair of shoes!

A very nice place; we went thanks to a recommendation from someone we met. I would say the walk is of easy difficulty, but it's recommended to wear sneakers because there are places where you have to walk through water.

Amazing place, worth the visit!!! Loved the quiet trail alongside the river and treated to a spectacular waterfall!!

It's a super pretty waterfall, it's about a 2.5 km forest walk that is a little up and down and good sites are recommended. It's not super strenuous, but not usable if you have difficulty walking on rough terrain. It's definitely worth a visit. Bug spray is also recommended.

For a fairly fit person the hike is moderate. I felt that it was much shorter to get to the waterfall than the actual distance described. It is a lovely sight. Pool is not deep. Maximum 1.22m. Avoid eating at the riverside restaurants just before you get to the park. Food is exorbitant, drastically over priced and taste horrible. Enjoy the view with your sandwiches and let the Bhats stay in your pocket.
