This was a beautiful calm place with lovely views. It was a great place to walk and along with nice tracks and even found the big Buddha statue down the back. Nice and flat, easy to walk and very pretty.

This is more than just a lake with lots of fun things to do. For starters, there are several food kiosks with moderate prices and a wide range of selections. Boating is the main attraction, and there are various alternatives available, including paddle, row, and shikhara boats. The view is spectacular, and there are various additional activities available, such as rock climbing and mini swings, to help you unwind. This is the most crowded spot in Chandigarh, yet it is also the most beautiful. You may unwind and enjoy the scenery while spending the evening with family or friends at a reasonable fee. The boating time is half an hour, but it was well worth it for a paddle with the choice of two or four people in a boat. This is a must-see place in Chandigarh.

Visiting Sukhna Lake in the evening is the best time to do so. Boating is also available here. There is also a good selection of food options. There are vendors selling everything from South Indian food to Chinese food. Chandigarh's most picturesque place.

When I went there, I just sat on the boundary to feel the silence and calmness of that place. Along the Sukhna lake there's a long route for walking.

Most picturesque place of chandigarh Sukhna Lake is a reservoir at the foothills of the Himalayas. This 3 km² rainfed lake was created in 1958 by damming the Sukhna Choe, a seasonal stream coming down from the Shivalik Hills. Originally, the seasonal flow entered the lake directly causing heavy siltation. It has ample food joints in the food court, drinking water facilities, boating facilities (Rs 250 for 2 seater boat + 250 as security). Good for nature lovers.

I have been visiting this place for past 20 years and it still holds the charm. It brings peace and tranquility. Walking the entire track feels amazing while looking at the greenery on one side and the water with paddle boats and kayaks on the other side. It's one of the most inclusive public spaces I have come across in India. There are people running, walking, doing exercise, couples, elderly, kids and a lot more. Sukhna has something to offer to everyone. I prefer the Garden of Silence side as it's more peaceful compare to the entrance. Monsoon is one of the good times as everything is lush green and the lake is full. Winter is also great as you can sit and relax on the toasty stone embankment or the grass and eat oranges and soak in the sun. It's a place one must visit if going to Chandigarh.

Zakir Hussain Rose Garden in Chandigarh is believed to be the largest rose garden in Asia. In addition to roses, the promotional literature says there are over 1000 varieties there, there are also several medicinal herbs, plants and trees. The roses are laid out in aesthetically designed flowerbeds, surrounded by beautifully landscaped areas interspersed with trees and flowering shrubs. I couldn't see the garden in full bloom as I visited towards the end of March in 2015, after the Rose Festival was over, and many of the flowerbeds were being relaid for the next season. There are some fountains towards one of the entrances, and a large wind chime.

This park is commonly knows as Rose Garden and one can find about hundreds of rose variety in this garden and enjoy the weather while taking a walk I this garden. It's preferred to visit this part after 2pm so that you can enjoy the fresh and cold breeze here. Moreover there's a photo exhibition here and children and adults perform various activities here ranging from skating, cycling and dancing.

What a beautiful place is this! 😍😍😍😍 I actually experienced this place is monsoon and it was my first experience over here but after visiting this place now I'm really really looking forward to visit this place again in winter as so many roses will grow at rapid pace and atmosphere will be more interesting at that time. I visited the rose garden in Chandigarh with my family last week. It is supposed to be the largest rose garden in Asia, but I was disappointed by the lack of roses. There were very few roses and they were not very colorful or fragrant. The garden looked more like a regular park with swings and slides for kids and a fountain for decoration. The only positive thing was that my son enjoyed playing on the slides and swings for an hour. I think the rose garden needs more attention and improvement to live up to its name and reputation.

Zakir Hussain Rose Garden is very nice and special place to visit in Chandigarh. The garden is very well maintained and you will be amazed to see the different varieties and colours of roses. This is the largest Rose Garden in Asia and is spread over an area of 40 acres and has more than 32,500 plants representing around 825 varieties of roses. This is nice place if you want to spend some time in peace. However the flowering season is mostly in summers so in winters the flowering is scarce. Kids also have a play area inside the garden so they can equally enjoy. Rose festival here is very popular. Must visit this place.

Chandigarh's Rose Garden is Asia's biggest botanical garden that has been named after India's former President Mr Zakir Hossain. The garden was set up in 1967 and spread over an area of 30 acres. The garden has collection of 50000 rose bushes with 1600 different spices which makes the place unique one. Every year, the popular rose festival begins on feb.17 and concludes on Feb.19. Though I couldn't see the beauty of full blooming garden but landscaping of garden, trees, plants and fountains speaks the story itself. The Garden is not famous for roses only, but also the plants/ trees of medicinal value. Park is good enough for nature lovers, indeed. There are play area, small bridges with walking/jogging tracks and public washrooms. Lots of opportunities for photography. Free entry. Grt place for picnic with family and friends !!!.

What a Place !! Words can't describe the preciseness of this resort. Located on top of a hill, this place offers beautiful scenic views. Sunrise, sunset views from here are just amazing. If you are goi g to enjoy it as location than please better go to Kasauli you will get way beautiful views there. - do not waste money on the 10 min Timber Trail . 1000 rupees per head is a big waste. - Staff is not at all hospitable. No one interested to facilitate or guide. - Activities or any-other thing at the top is only for Guests & not for others. - Resturant at the top is not good .. not much options & on the top they are only interested to serve the guests & not the visitors. - the restaurant & view is better at the starting point. Do not waste monty on timber trail to go to the resort.

Nice experience. Good food, courteous staff. The adventure play area was closed. Badminton facility is available though there is no court. Recreational area is good and well maintained. They give only one complementary ride on the cable car if you are staying for 1 night. Overall good experience, but reducing 1 star because found it a bit over priced.

Though we do not stay there but visited for a short span of 3-4 hours for lunch. The view from the Heights are much better then Timber trail resorts. Foods served was also better then served at resort. There is one problem in residing at Heights that the cable cars through which one reach at Height resort stopped working at 5.30 pm. So, you can't move from the hotel from 5.30 pm to 9 am. In case of emergency a road is there but in very poor condition.

We took the cable car trip. It was nice. The trip duration was about 7 to 10 minutes one way but was heavily priced. It's nice for a one-time experience.

Breakfast and all other food items were amazing.. freshly cooked.. rooms were spacious and bathroom was a good size with latest fixtures.. Located on a lovely hilltop, Timber Trail is a resort which can be accessed by a Cable Car ride. The views are mesmerising and the place is full of serenity. Just about an hour away from Chandigarh, it's a great place for a weekend getaway. There is ample parking space, so you can also think of driving there. Also, an ideal location for office retreats.

They are the worst. There are 2 ways to reach this place. 1. By timber trail which costs about 2k per person 2. By 2 hours drive. We went there by car and they didn't let us in. Reason was given that their policy is not let the people in who come by car. The reason however sounds absurd but it's the way of making money. They turned around 5 more cars before us which they were very proud to blab in front of us. We saw around 5 m9re cars going to the same place on our way back. The drive is not so easy and people on that road are usually for this resort only. Not just that, their place was dirty and half the property was under construction and out of order.

Perfect location . It has everything from beautiful mountain setup, to romantic weather plus great room, food and service . If you are looking to spend some time alone in nature and luxury this is the place for you .

I tried cable car ride only... wonderful experience. Ride was not thrilling but was good as experienced for first time and location of restaurant is good enjoyed the view there and tried hara bhara kebab there taste and it was really delicious 🤤 totally loved it but it is little bit expensive otherwise overall had a nice experience. I was an outsider when I visited there so I can't tell much in just one visit but I am gonna mention what I liked about the university: Infrastructure is good, Crowd is good too. Liked the food served there.

Punjab University A big university with multiple trades to study BA, Bsc, post graduation course. A very big market in campus, Swimming pool Student centre A must visit place for youngsters.

GANDHI BHAWAN It’s distinctive position as a white lotus against the red sandstone structures of the Panjab campus is a metaphorical representation of Gandhi’s teachings, and stands out amidst the more traditional academic and administrative structures of the university. It is as iconic as it seems. A shame that the pool of water was not present at the time of visiting, however it allowed me to capture the building’s details with my eyes more than a zoom of the camera. Despite its individual characteristic, I find that the Fine Arts Museum opposite, shares a facade similar to Gandhi Bhawan. Two sets of large panels sitting atop, or sandwiched between a set of long horizontal panels. Perhaps, Gandhi Bhawan fits in well on Panjab campus, and the two structures and their contrasting hues and material, highlight the nuanced interplay between tradition and modernity. BOYS’ HOSTEL One of the Boys’ Hostel visited was an observation of one room on the ground level, where a lattice brickwork was displayed. However, some of the holes of the brickwork were filled with two stacks of bricks. Perhaps, the natural ventilation operates well, but privacy was sought after. I did also love the short coloured stone walls at the entrance to the dorms. STUDENT CENTRE My first instance of seeing a concrete ramp circle up a concrete building, its facade often placed with pivotal louvered windows for natural ventilation, while a hand runs along the thick concrete railing held up by frequent thin metal poles. Though I’ve only had the opportunity to enter its top floor cafe, the Student Centre appears much better from the outside. Its bathroom is terrible, and the lighting was weak inside the cafe. I did adore the view of the social hub below the building, and the maintained shrubs along the footpaths.

Punjabi University Chandigarh Sec 14 has been hub of students activity since many decades. But eating out in upper cafeteria UC aur in shops of student Centre it has always been fun to eat with friends and family the food is really delicious and finds favour with all age groups tho it is very very reasonably priced due to the students unions pressure. Students have been visiting this place not only for studies and co curricular activities sports but its the fun being here. Rose fest and other fests are liked by everyone indian or overseas stds. It is a best ever university in India 🇮🇳, it is known not only for its well planned infrastructural design of buildings and quality of education but also for its lifestyle and day to day life, which particular can be witnessed at Students Centre- a round shaped circular building housing various shops, eatery stalls for students… There are many shops and eating points here at Student centre, I always love to eat and have cup of coffee or tea here. One can have meal, fast foods like grilled sandwiches 🥪, burgers 🍔, pasta 🍝, spring roll, momos, salad 🥗, juice 🥤, shakes, snacks and many other eatable items at affordable price. I also used to have pasta and coffee ☕️… love this place

Located at sector 10 C, it's an interesting place with artefacts, paintings coins of medieval India. The museum ticket is of 30 rs and covers the museum as well as the science center nearby in the same campus. Well maintained, pleasant temperature, staffs equipped with at each section. There are basic amenities like clean washroom and drinking water available. It will take minimum half hour to cover the museum and science center. The science center is about evolution of man and dinosaurs being center of attraction. Overall a good place to visit especially for young minds and people who keep keen interest on History and regional art.

Here you'll see and find alot of historical art, sculptures, paintings etc. which tells us about the history and helps us to gain some knowledge about historical periods in India. My favourite part here was watching the magnificent paintings and discovering the old time coins from British Seat, Mughal Emperor Era etc. It's so peaceful as silence is well maintained here . It's really sad that very few people come here to visit. Anyways, You will also find both Architectural Museum and Natural History Museum beside this museum. Entry tickets is just Rs 10/- and with the same ticket you can also visit the Natural History Museum where you can see And learn about dinosaurs and evolution of man/mankind. Bags are not allowed inside and need to be submitted at the ticket counter . Photography is allowed in this Museum for free and other museum charge extra money for photography. Art gallery is loving and a bit old and boring it can be for Youngsters! A lot bigger and huge inside! Chandigarh architecture museum is informative and but natural History is bit too same as we see in our schools and institutions!

No air conditioning system even in summer makes you hate this place. Take at least 2 hours if you want to see everything in the museum thoroughly. Early morning is the best time i guess. Plenty of parking is available. There were 2 museums in the compound, the government museum and art gallery and second is national history museum.

Well maintained place. The collection of various old sculptures, statues, miniature paintings, coins etc. is vast. The staffs are very courteous, friendly and helpful. Photography is not allowed inside the gallery. If you are interested in art and sculptures, you can definitely visit this place.

The Government Museum and Art Gallery was very underwhelming. Whilst holding a large volume of artefacts, there is zero engagement or substance to the displays. The layout of the gallery is divided into sectors, aiming to guide users from 1 to 8, however the entrance leads to section 7. There is a lot of potential held within the content of the gallery, however the dysfunctional nature makes a vast impact on the experience had here. There was an absence of information accompanying the artefacts, when combined with a great lacking of natural light it revoked any interest to investigate the content of the gallery. We were in and out within 15 minutes. There of so much underutilisation of space and potential here.

Not properly arranged! The worst part is the curorators or assisting staff members there. Their arrogance and attitude towards the visitors indicate that they have never been to any international museum or so... The first thing should be a good training to the staff members on how to behave and make the visitors learn and appreciate the exhibits!

The price of a ticket is ₹30 for an Indian Citizen. The place has been restored and maintained very nicely. You can easily spend 1-2 hours here. Its near the Rose Garden so you can also visit there.

In the museum ancient and mediaeval era art sculptures, coins with Rajasthan miniature paintings are also beautifully showcased here. The science center is about evolution of man and dinosaurs, great experience for visitors . The Museum was inaugurated in the year 1968 by Dr. M.S.Randhawa the then Chief Commissioner, Chandigarh. The Museum has four wings of which Art gallery is most attractive one and others are Natural History, Architecture Museum and National gallery of Portraits, worth visiting. Definitely the place is interesting for those who are history lovers. Entry is free for children and students (up to 18 years). The ticket price for all nearby museums is INR 30 and for foreign nationals is INR 500. Extra chargeable for photography. No crowd, green environment, quite place !!!

Nice place to explore and a must visit place in Chandigarh. It is the main attraction of Chandigarh. As mentioned by a number of friends here, we have to visit the Tourist Information Centre of Chandigarh as they are conducting guided tour to the buildings. Timings are 10.00, 12.00 and 15.00 on all days. The staff there are really cooperative and helpful.

This place is Unique spot in Chandigarh. Since it was the first building built in Chandigarh. The building serves as the secretariat and high court so it is not open all the time. Good guided tour of the Capitol complex including the Punjab legislative assembly. Architecture by Le Corbusier is awesome. The tour includes showing the High court, the Hand Monument, the secretariat, legislative assemblies, tower of shadows. Go to the Chandigarh tourism dept. there and guided tours are arranged after you give your id. Timings are 10am, 12 noon and 3 pm. Online tour booking can also be made through their website.

This place offers a free tour through the capitol complex. It is also the only way with which you can enter the premises. The Tour is definitely worth doing, as you can also enter a world heritage parliament building, which is the one of Punjab. You can sign up for the tour online on their website.

Free guided tour with no entry fees. Place is really amazing and architecture is so well built. Tour guide will show you legislative assembly, Chandigarh amblem, secratariat and court rooms. They will explain the history and architecture as well. You're not allowed to go inside, though and videography is not allowed.

It was unique to say the least, although I am not an architectural student, I could say visiting has piqued my interest into the field. The buildings were designed in ways I’ve never witnessed before, in strange shapes and colors, and it was truly wonderful to see. The same could be said about the art sculptures allowing for natural sunlight and passive cooling and a place for people and nearby wildlife to rest. It was an architectural response for a governmental building for Chandigarh and much needed as a tourism and a functional place to pass laws. One can see that no cost as been spared in the construction, being large in area and colorful in its design. Unfortunately, no pictures were allowed to be taken inside the building, which is a real shame considering the inside was just as beautiful as the outside.

We went there, great architecture. Wind Hand which show the direction of wind, highcourt, we are so lucky that we also went inside the parliament of Chandigarh in feb 2018.

Le Corbusier’s high court one of the buildings I found interest in with its many layered roof it provides shade to each floor making sure to cover the hot weather. It was intriguing to learn that the big half circular opening was to provide wind circulation. Although we weren’t able to enter the court it was amazing to see the exterior aspect of the building learning many things.

Tourist centre issues pass free of cost from 1415 hrs to 1445 hrs on working days for guided tour to Capitol complex buildings (Punjab Vidhan sabha, High court, open hand monument, shadow tower and martyrs memorial). ISKCON Temple Chandigarh is a very nice place to visit for positive vibrations. One single visit removes all the negativity. Fills one with joy and hope. The deities are very beautiful. Prasadam is very tasty. Even parking space is available inside the temple. Restrooms facility is also available. There is a shop for buying spiritual books.

Famous Temple where you witness the peace and energy during the aarti. The timing in winters are Aarti starting at 6:30 pm. The main hall was under maintenance during our last visit and a canteen and shop is also located inside the campus. Parking is available inside and outside the side road.

Aura was so pure, i enjoyed my new year night. I visited there 31st dec 2023 at 5pm and came back at 1am . Kids played drama, and sung songs. Whole program was so meaningful.

On some day if your luck works you can also have the maha parsadam. 4:00 am to 11:30 am you temple is open after that it is closed because the supereme god rests at that time time and again opens at 4:15 for Divya Darshan.

Beautiful and one of the most famous temples in Chandigarh. Super Crowded on Janmashtmi, otherwise not so crowded. Has ample space for parking, a shop to buy related religious things, and a Govinda Restaurant too. Has Bhagwat Geeta Shloka explaining classes once a week that you can enroll in. 12:30-4:30 in noon, the Darbar is Closed ❌

I visited for the 1st time in any Zoo, so this was a very fabulous experience for me. I enjoyed it a lot. The zoo is very clean and well maintained. Even after too much of a crowd on Sunday I was able to see Animals, Birds etc. properly. If you are nearby you must visit there once.

One of the best zoology park to visit. Lion and deer safari is amazing with a price of 70 rs per person. E cars are very helpful specially when you have kids with you. Very neat and clean area. Have 2 small food courts in the zoo.

The zoo is huge with variety of animals and birds. The main attraction was the dinosaurs park. Only 2 hours slot was allocated due to corona pandemic. Nice place for a family to spend some good time with nature and have fun.

Well maintained zoo. Most animals, birds, and reptiles are available there.Ticket price for Adult 100 and Kids below 12, 50/- only. Only two refreshment shops are available inside the zoo. You can opt for a car or toy train inside the zoo with nominal fare. You can go to have a picnic there. On weekends, you might face a parking issue. If you go with your own food items it will be good. Polythene is strictly banned inside the zoo, checked on entrance.

Chattbir Zoo... This is an adventures place where you get to see all the animals, you get to see the aquarium or dinosaur park with different species or the reptile section, food court and open safari also where you can see the lion openly. Yes, how it hunts? This was the best experience of my life and I even enjoyed it...

Visited this Zoo and It was a fantastic experience. The park is clean. The lion safari was short but enjoyable.The golf carts and short trains are available for easy accessibility. Overall, it was a nice experience, and I would strongly recommend this place

The zoo is well planned. You doesn't have to walk long cause enclosure's are near. Almost all the species are there. There are battery buses for the people who doesn't like to walk the charges are Rs 60/- pp. A cafeteria is there inside the zoo to enjoy your favorite snack. There is a Dinosaur park depicting their period, types of species etc.

I went to this zoo during winters. It’s a huge zoo with tons of animals. It is one of the best place to take kids. Highlight of this zoo is the Dino Park which is amazing. Dinosaur are robotic and does give the feel of real dinosaurs. There’s no entry without ticket. Theres small canteen where one can eat snacks. There’s also a paid cart service which will take you to the each section of the zoo. But I will recommend to walk and experience the wonder of this zoo and it’s amazing inhabitants. Good parking facilities is available.

Amazing zoo. It has a lot of animals including Tiger, Lion, hoppos, crocodiles and a lot more. Lions are kept inside a separate park so will have to buy separate jungle safari tickets for that. The vehicle's facility is there to ease the walking. Dianasaur park is amazing.

This place is a good place to visit with family members. You can enjoy food here. You can enjoy wild life here. Jungle safari is also available here. They provide a safe bus to go for jungle safari where you can see Lions, Deer, Raindeer and many more animals in the open area i.e. in the jungle area. One of the largest zoo in tricity with so many species of animals and birds. Chattbir Zoo is spread in a wide area and is open from 9am to 6pm. We paid 100rs for adult ticket and 50rs for child ticket each. There is a long queue for safari on weekends so better to go on weekdays. Multiple vendors for eatery are available inside the zoo area. Parking space is also good which is a concern these days. A good spot for children if weather is not hot.

Enjoy with Family Better to go in mornings and avoid afternoon as extreme heat and warm weather will disturb Bring own water bottles or buy packed minerals bottles as public water not have good quality. Better to walk to watch the animals by taking your own time. Approx. 3 hours need to complete visit with joyfully enjoyment.

Visiting the zoo, the experience was great. Children especially enjoy watching animals. I did not find much variety of eatables at the food court. Otherwise the overall experience was fine.

The zoo is closer to Zirakpur. A neatly maintained zoo. Houses a wide variety of animals, birds and reptiles. There is also a lion safari inside. A well managed zoo by Indian Govt. is well connected by local buses and cabs. Zoo has entry fee for visitors, additional fee for cameras etc. There are Tigers, elephants, hippos, monkeys, crocs and many more there are separate area for birds and reptiles as well there are so many birds I like the reptiles part the most the different types of snakes and comodo dragons are there and after that if you are interested to see lions than you have to pay extra for the lion safari in which the bus will take you to the separated isolated area where King Lions are free to roam that is great experience. Overall was a pleasant experience. Lots of deer! Hired a drive so was convenient.

Everything is good as a park, well maintained. Only cons is the tram service, they just pick u up from the initial 2-3 stops after that u will not find any trams coming, then either you need to call them from tram stop ( and call again 2-3 times then tram will be their in 15-20min) or walk.

Everything good except jungle safari. Jungle safari bus is too closed, need to have something like jeep safari experience. Also its closes by 5 pm so make sure you go early, it will take 2-3 hours easily to cover all the zoo.

This garden is located in Sector 15A, opposite side of Patel Market.. It's good place for walks, pincnics and to spend time with your friends n family. But this place really need some attention for its cleanliness..

It is just amazing! I mean, it's so clean and well-kept. You can take a leisurely walk and feel totally refreshed. It's also peaceful. I highly recommend going there if you want to relax and enjoy the peace if you stay nearby.

This park in sector 15 Chandigarh is really nice. The trees are trimmed neatly, and the water fountains are beautiful. There's a long path for walking and running in the morning or evening. You can also do yoga here. They have a playground for little kids. Overall, it's a great experience.

My favourite place. I've created many moments here. I used to play ukulele here when I was in Chandigarh. I've made many friends here. This garden is very beautiful. It's good for sitting, walking, jogging, yoga & exercising. An outdoor gym is also available in this garden. This garden has fountains working here in the evening & morning with the peaceful music. I've celebrated many birthdays & moments here 🎉

This garden is so nicely made and even maintained! It’s huge and great time can be spent here! There is such a serene atmosphere in here! I wish I could stay a little longer! There are floral Sculptures of animals! They look so attractive! They are swings are rides for children! It can be a very good picnic spot too! After seeing the beauty the mood just lifts up! Walking paths for people coming for morning and evening walks are there! You must fully utilise the place! It gives such positive vibe ! And most importantly there are gyming equipment’s in the park!

Short cut to market: Its a small garden for sector 15 residents. Easily approachable and a meeting point for senior citizens and younger ones too, with a play area for tiny tots. I like to go this place for a brisk walk sometimes. It also offers a short cut walk- through to the market for residents.

It is a very good picnic spot too! Its a memorabke hotspot of PU students who stay as PG in nearby houses and spend their time with friends. Senior Citizens also spend time with their niebhours. Its a short cut to PU and sector 15 market. After seeing the beauty the mood just lifts up! There is Walking path for morning and evening walks... You must fully utilise the place!

I like how the city design is analogous to the human body, such the Open Hand is. Labelling them ‘sectors’ is different to any Indian city, and any country I’ve heard of, and it shows that one would understand the city’s layout with this label. I do take particular interest with the concept and manifestation of the seven V’s of the road, but I still find it difficult to understand the intersections of each V. Although, not comprehending it completely isn’t the end of the world? Even with minimal time in Chandigarh’s streets, I can see how the city plan has been curated for pedestrians and an assumed used for green areas, but not understanding that Chandigarh’s population, currently and rising, exceeds the amount of empty space.

Quite a educational place. As the name depicts the museum is dedicated to architect Le Corbusier. It tells the history of Chandigarh. The origin of city beautiful,how was it designed and architect. How logo for Chandigarh was decided and what not. This place got educational monument and everything set up wisely around the corridors of this tourist place.

An incredible piece of history curated here! Chandigarh was conceptualised by Le Corbusier and his team at the behest of Government of India. The drawings, concepts, real furniture, blue prints, and pictures of development of the City Beautiful is carefully kept here. An absolutely gem of a place to visit if you are an art connoisseur, history buff or architecture person. A must visit for young students to learn how a dream is brought into reality. Unfortunately, India could never replicate anything like Chandigarh in the past 70 years even with such a great example to emulate.

Small, charming somewhat old place. Nice overview of Le Corbusier’s work in Chandigarh, and of the Harappan history of Chandigarh. Photos are good. Relaxed, quiet, not easy to find (location on Google Maps not quite right). Souvenir shop closed. Staff friendly. No extra charge for foreigners (an Indian hobby, normally)!

For every architecture enthusiast this place is a must visit to explore the building and history related to the making of Chandigarh. This building is another beautiful work by le corbusier.

It was a fun experience. I went there for the first time despite being in Chandigarh for the last ~9 years. Seeing photos and stuff from the time of inception of Chandigarh was a great experience.

While the place has its charm, the building could use a little upkeep and maintenance (mainly the ventilation) to make it worthy of the heritage it hosts.

The Le Corbusier Centre highlights the correlation between the city of Chandigarh and the form of the human body. A scale system created by Le Corb depicts the 'perfect man' based on the average French policemen. This scale and biomimicry often feature in his work. This calculated and systematic approach to his designs can be seen in the streets this city as they differ vastly from others in India. The grid design can be seen displayed on manhole covers throughout the city which show order and a great deal of planning, even the topography of the city has been a factor in the layout to account for the drainage system. The content of the centre mainly put an image to prior knowledge we had of Le Corbusier. The artefacts in the centre were mainly visual and lacking the knowledge and information that exists behind each of the images. I felt the layout of the centre to be quite disoriented, there was no natural flow or organic pathways guiding the visitors. There was no interactive elements or main point of interest in this space, it simply felt like a cluster of photocopied images, sketches and documents.

So much information about Indus valley civilization and cultivation, the architecture plan of Chandigarh, how the city was built and innovative minds behind it. It's an interesting place for history lovers Entry ticket is ₹20 for kids/ adults, if you want to click pictures, you'll have to pay ₹50 for one phone , no videography allowed

Those who wish to understand Chandigarh must definitely visit Le Coebusier Centre. A fitting tribute to a great master architect and visionary. One is lead through the various stages of designing the city of Chandigarh, its major buildings, the philosophy of these designs, the eminent personalities who have been instrumental in creating this beautiful city. One also gets glimpses of the architects and artists groups working on their various projects.

Very well maintained documentation and display of the process of creating the city of Chandigarh. Several rare photographs, letters and designs are here on display. Incidentally, this museum is housed in the same premises from where Le Corbusier and his team worked when Chandigarh was being constructed. Any one with an interest in architecture, design, modern heritage or urban planning would find it very interesting and enriching. The centre also has a small souvenir shop.

A nice little museum full of Le Corbusier’s work in Chandigarh, a must visit for any interested in the field of architecture. It was really cool learning about the original designs of his work and the map layouts of the city. I believe taking pictures was an additional fee which I did not partake in paying, however after experiencing it, I wish I did. From memory it was under 50 rupees, and I absolutely recommend anyone interested on visiting to purchase the extra fee.

Open hand Monument is the symbol of Chandigarh (peace) and I just loved this monument. It is situated at Sector 1 Chandigarh. Because high court and vidhan sabha is there, security is very tight here. You have to show your ID card to the security personnel to viait this monument. This monument has historic meaning and value. One of the few amazing facts of this monument is that it rotates 360° and the direction of the thumb shows the direction the wind.

Leisure valley is a most enjoyable and popular tourist attraction in Chandigarh. It's located in sector 10B. Bus stand is at a distance of 4 km away. The Park is spread over in 400 acres of area. Trees with round canopies and evergreen foliage have been planted here. Long walking pathway with variety of flower looks awesome. Place is Good for meditation and morning/evening walkers. The Leisure Valley is a perfect place to take a break from the hustle and bustle of routine life. A beautiful replica of Eiffel Tower can be seen here. The tower stands 56 feet tall and is very famous among the locals. Park Entry is free. Good place for hangout !!!

A beautiful quite place to hang with friends and family with lush green environment all around the place. You can come in during the morning and evening to enjoy some relaxing time and also to upgrade your fitness as the park has plenty of tracks to jog, walk around.

Comfortable place for every activity. Calesthenics, painting, dance, walk, photography, botanical research, exploring, playing, anything. If you need a place to stay for a while and can't afford hotels, go there. You'll find benches and tables and fruits and washrooms and trees and comfort and vibrance and people.

Very peaceful place. A lot of walking paths spread all over. Small bridges over the rainy stream look good. The parking could be a bigger. Couples trying to be intimate here are a major problem. Sometimes it’s embarrassing to walk around them.

Best Park in Chandigarh: This is the perfect place for family time and outings. If someone wants to spend a day with nature this is the correct place in city, dense plantation, creative stones and windchim are the attractive points. I visited during spring it was lovely. Government maintain this very well but visitors are very lazy they are not using dustbins. Wheelchair accessible parking and entrance available here. Sharing some pictures for your reference. On the 26th of November, I had the pleasure of visiting Leisure Valley during the Chandigarh carnival, marking the festival's final day. The highlight of the evening was the electrifying performance by the renowned artist, Babbu Maan. Having last performed before the onset of Covid-19, Babbu Maan once again shouldered the responsibility of closing the event, captivating the audience with his timeless melodies. The atmosphere was electric, with thousands of devoted fans of Maan Saab gathered to witness his much-awaited show. His soulful and soothing voice resonated through the venue, leaving everyone enchanted. Despite the overwhelming response and the immense crowd, the show, unfortunately, had to conclude an hour earlier than scheduled due to safety concerns. Nevertheless, it was a truly remarkable and enthralling experience, and for those who missed it, the live footage is available on YouTube, allowing everyone to relive the magic of that evening.

The idea to build the garden was proposed by Le Corbusier, who wanted to develop a place to enjoy the clean environment, away from the chaos and pollution of the city’s bad atmosphere.

The Museum is home to Judgments and Court Records of historic importance like Bhagat Singh trial at Lahore, Arrest of Dr. Kitchlew, Creation of post of Chief Justice, arrest of Pt. Jawahar lal Nehru etc. Besides this various showcase items like Nathu Ram Godse's handcuffs and a copy of original Constitution of India signed by Constituent committe and many old stamps of the era are also on display here. An old Court Room with all the old equipment like stamp, heater, sofas, pen stand, typewritter and calendar etc has been re-created within the premises to illustrate how the Court Rooms of that era looked.

Though still worth a visit, this museum is in need of an update (or honestly, even an enterprising young student willing to re-do the low quality faded graphics). A mix of court history and exhibits featuring the architectural background of the High Court building.

I continue to be amazed at the good ratings people give museums both out of date (this one seems to have 'stopped' in 2006) and visually uninspiring. The descriptions attached to pictures of the inauguration are laughable eg. "At Lunch". Even looking at every meagre offering, a 15-25 minute stay would be generous. This museum has almost nothing in it about the raison d'etre for Le Corbusier's design of the High Court, and only has a few documents and images on the wall relating to historic judgements and changes to the law in its sphere of influence and activity. NB: looking at other guide's reviews, I suspect they are commenting on the actual High Court and not the museum.

It's a tiny museum which covers the history of Punjab Highcourt from pre partition times, there are also cases of reports of some famous cases of preparation times. Would recommend if you are a partition or legal history enthusiast.

This is a little museum with several little artefacts with great historical significance. If you're a lawyer and interested in the history of Indian judiciary, you'd love the place. The only issue I had was that there was no way to turn pages and look beyond the page they set several books and documents to in the glass display box. I wish they offered at least an electronic display of all the pages. They also had a room where they displayed how a court used to be back in the day, and it was really fun to see.

High Court Museum located in Chandigarh Sector 1.The history is preserved very well maintained museum.On the approach road to the High Court, the small High Court Museum displays assorted judicial memorabilia including original Le Corbusier sketches, a signed copy of the Indian constitution and several pieces of evidence from notable court cases, including handcuffs worn by Nathuram Godse, Mahatma Gandhi’s assassin. Unlike the rest of the Capitol complex, the museum can be visited independently...

Terraced Garden is one of the beautiful and famous garden of Chandigarh. It is the venue for famous annual chrysanthemum flower show in Chandigarh. Apart from flower show, it is maintained very well with lots of flowers. You can spend 1-2 hrs of quality time in the fragrance of the beautiful flowers in Terraced Garden

The garden is in two parts, connected with an underpass. One part of the garden has lots of flowers and the other part has lots of trees. The flower park is well maintained and has a lot of area to sit and relax. It also has a fountain which is functional in the evening. There a monument for honouring the defence personnel of Chandigarh,who laid their life for the country. There is a small area for children to play and it has a few swings. The tree park is less well maintained but has lot of shade and one can enjoy walking here especially on a hot summer day. There is an open gym here but not kept well. There are rest rooms available and there a small shop serving tea and snacks/cold drinks, situated at the underpass. Overall, a good garden to visit in Chandigarh.

Best maintained garden. It's walker's paradise, children's delight. Proper park for visiting with family. Annual chrysanthemum flower ( गुलदाउदी फूल) show is organized in the park in the month of December which is fascinating for all.

Beautiful and lush garden. Ideal for a quick stroll or a family visit. There is a Martyr Memorial, an art installation and musical fountains which were not operational due to renovation this week. You can park in the main market if the parking is full.

It is one of the most beautiful parks in whole of Chandigarh. It has flower beds, well maintained by gardeners appointed by MC. It also has basic gym equipments, and very long walking trail. This park is split in two, with the road diving it in half, but one can cross it using the underpass without having to cross the road and risking an accident. Seating benches are also available here at almost every 10 meters. Nice job MCC!

It is a good place to spend 1-2 hours with your family and friends. A terrace type of garden is one of the best gardens in Chandigarh. You can explore colorful flowers which looks very beautiful. The garden is maintained wisely with all the requirements like washroom, water facility, canteen etc.

A major event on Chandigarh's calendar - one of the reasons it is called "City Beautiful." It is a euphoric extravaganza of colors. Very inspiring to see the varieties of Chrysanthemums citizens grow and the amount of passion as well as effort that goes into preparing the flower pots.

Terraced Garden in Chandigarh is a beautiful and well-maintained park that is definitely worth a visit. This fair is usually held in the month of December. In the Chandigarh Chrysanthemums flower show; you can find distinctive varieties of flowers. As a part of this show, various competitions are conducted regarding gardening, in which many city gardeners participate. Chrysanthemums Show has been drawing more and more crowds each year. It was a mind-blowing experience. The chrysanthemum collection seemed so unique and perfect as the theme of show depicted. Allied activities arranged by horticulture dept such as quiz programme etc definitely added life and vibes to the show.

A nice huge garden. I attended a flower show it was good. The garden has a fountain in middle too. A good place for a winter afternoon picnic.

I'd give this park full ratings because of the cleanliness, maintenance and different varieties of flowers always blooming here. No matter which season you visit this park,you'll always be surrounded by beautiful flowers. One of the most amazing things that I've seen here is that the squirrels and birds are very friendly. They play with you. The best part is stray dogs aren't allowed inside due to which it is very very clean. You can even walk barefoot and sit on the grass. Even for photoshoot or photography, it's a nice park. Kudos to the team of gardeners who maintain this park. God bless
