This is a heritage monument related muslim religion. Good architecture, moderately maintained. You can buy cold drinks and snacks inside the monument campus. The small garden was properly maintained and the place was clean. I missed the opportunity to visit the entire place as my mother was having problems with so many stairs. I personally feel that the entry ticket is highly priced as you have to pay to the guide in addition to entry tickets. Otherwise the place is good.

A beautiful and soothing place. I'd recommend you guys to visit during winter as in summer the temperature is around (35-40)°C so you guys will get exhausted, sun tanned and then it becomes boring. Also make sure you hire a guide for better understanding of the inside architecture and history.

Management needs to be improved. Compounds have good waste disposals at every nook but People should not be allowed to enter the main building like bhool bhulaiya with plastic bottles and juice cartons. There were many left overs along the chambers. It affected the experience. I didn't click photos as I didn't want to ruin the image. It's worth a visit though

It is said that this monument is build of 5 types of lentils. The nawabs use to attack the Britishers from the Bhul bhulaiya situated inside. Also there are treasures buried under this monument which no one can find out as keys have been dismissed. Also there are pathways situated under this fort which opens out to Delhi, Hyderabad and some other major cities. The interiors were very beautiful and I was amazed to see the maze or the bhul bhulaiya which has been constructed so well. The view from the top is also amazing. This place is a must visit if you're in Lucknow.

The place has its own historical significance.If you are in Lucknow don't miss it..The combo ticket for Indian people is 50 rupees and the charge of the guide is 300 rupees. You cannot bring any professional camera with you.You have to submit large or small baggage and camera before entering. Photography and videography are prohibited.You can still capture a few handful of pictures. The place is really worth multiple visit .The labyrinth or vul vulaiya is really mesmsrazing.

An iconic place to visit in Lucknow. The most interesting part is the Bauli. The inside of the main building is way too crowded. No body follows Covid norms. If you are a photographer you will have hard time finding a clear frame as this tourist place is too busy. Also, we felt the old structure could have been more maintained and well taken care of. The tourist department has not paid much attention to the maintenance of the old iconic building.

Too much restrictions too much of commercialization and rigid handling that you miss the elegance of this place. Built by the Nawab of Awadh in for Azadari remembrance, this is elegant and amusing in its construction. It has 45 ways to the inside but just two leading outside. Too many restrictions and conventional rigidities make the experience bad but this is a must visit monument in Lucknow. Take a guide if you are in a group, it helps.

This imambara is the second largest after the Nizamat Imambara. The building complex also includes the large Asfi mosque, the Bhul-bhulaiya (the labyrinth), and Bowli, a step well with running water. It is said that there are 1024 ways to reach the terrace, but only two ways to come back, which is through the first gate or the last gate. It is an accidental architecture. It was also a relief measure during 1780 famine providing employment generation.

It's lovely, it's beautiful it holds lots of stories. You'll need a guide here though. It's very clean, but don't fill your water through the drinking water the water's sus. Also a beautiful garden which you're not allowed to enter.

I've found this place good. It has been kept well by the govt despite of the fact that huge number of people visit here everyday. However, I found that the rate of tickets were at the higher side. 300 for the age of 16 and above is absolutely unnecessary. A nice place to visit and walk around if you’re in Lucknow. I wasn’t able to gain access since the electronic payment methods were down but I got to visit the lawns which were nice. It was also a bit crowded which I assume was due to Eid so I didn’t mind not being able to access the temple itself. Overall, a great spot for pictures!

It is among top of Must visit places while you are in Lucknow. Architecture is really amazing and The Bara Imambara is one of the most famous monuments of the city. It is also known as Asfi Imambara, as it was constructed in 1784 by then the Nawab of Awadh, Asif-ud-Daula. The best part is that it was built as a part of relief project for a major Famine that took place in 1784 (to provide basic necessity to their people by giving them work). Buildings is a 4 story and built without the use of iron bars. Whole Imambara contains Main building having large halls and Labyrinth, Badi Bouli, and asifi Mosque. Labyrinth (Bhool Bhulaiya) in it's wall is well ventilated has stairs and connection to tunnel (currently closed) which connect it to places like Allahabad, Faizabad, Delhi and the gomti river. It contains steep stairs so not recommended for extreme age people and for those who have knee issues. Another peculiarity is that at some places wall is constructed in such a way that wishers can be heard form long distance through walls. Timings: Remains Open from 06:00 am to 05:00pm all day except Monday. Bhul bhulaiya (Labyrinth) opens at 09:00 am, so it's better to visit accordingly.

British construction has always been fascinating and this place has a lot of historical tales to share. The ruins looks picturesque and the wide open spaces are refreshing with the peaceful chirping sounds of the birds around. It was not too crowded when I went here and the place was fairly well maintained in terms of cleanliness. Good place to hangout and do some photoshoots.

One of the best location in the middle of Lucknow city adjacent to High court. It is a historic place and they have maintained it very well, all structures are great and the whole place is very clean and Greenery. The buildings are in good shape and the main building which is in the centre is a Museum which is included in the entry ticket which is absolutely free, you only have to show the ticket while entering the museum. Giving four star only because of some couples I saw, they are using this place as a private place to do timepass and I have also noticed that there are names scratched and written on the wall on all buildings which is very shameful for such a beautiful place, UP government should take very serious action on this issue.

Old Heritage Site at Lucknow. Important place of 1857 revolt and British rule in Oudh. But not well protected by ASI Local people's are not very aware for their monument. Ticket price is 20 rs for Indians and 300 rs for foreigners. Security staff's are very rude and non cooperative. A small museum inside the place but closed on Friday.

It is a very well maintained historical site; one of great turmoil during the annexation of Awadh. I didn't like the tone/language that painted Indians as villains in some of the boards here, but maybe that's too much nitpicking. Loved seeing the various buildings and wondering what a bustling little township it might have been. Remnants of the British Cantonment area . A wonderful window into how the settlement was created in the heart of Lucknow . Historical significance around the Sepoy mutiny of 1857. It makes for a good walk - but if you can make it early - while there are trees , the paths do not have too much shade , so it is tough when hot . Fortunately paths are flat so folks on wheelchair 🦽 can also visit , with assistance .

This place was the residence of the British people. It is said that this is a haunted area and people are not allowed here at night. 5:30pm is the exit time from this place. Otherwise the old building of the Britishers are still there though they are the remains only. We were able to see beautiful peacocks here. The museum here was closed as we went on a public holiday.

A historical monument where each wall carries some stories of Sepoy Mutiny. There are also history related to the Audh Nawabs. The building complex is quite large and you will need 1.5 - 2 hrs to cover it properly. The official opening time is 9 am. The staff was kind and courteous. It was zero crowded at that time and we enjoyed our visit in peace. Bonus was many birds and squirrels who kept playing in the morning warmness. If you are in Lucknow, definitely visit this place preferably towards early morning

One of the important tourist places in Lucknow to visit. Lot of history hidden here. The lawns were clean and a lot of structures within the whole complex along with the description written for the same. Lots of places to take pictures and etc. I went with my friend here on a weekend and surprisingly there was not much of a crowd. Parking is limited, easy for a bike or scooter. Entry fee was about 20-30 INR per head.

Very big campus was the official place of British Resident. The place witnessed the great fight between rebellious Indian against the British in 1857. The building are still in a condition left after the great mutiny. One can still see cannon and bullet marks on the walls of the dilapidated buildings. I liked the place. Really serene, quiet. You can hear birds chirping. You can see lots of parrots in the tree top. Well maintained toilets. Great for photography. Not much to see in the museum but good. Very less crowded. You can get an idea of old soldier colonies or camps. No tuck shops or canteen etc inside. Time taken to visit min 1 hr - 3 hr.

Very large area for quiet reflection and walking. Not too crowded. For those interested, it's a piece of nuanced history of violence (not all justified) towards freedom. The grounds are well-maintained (thanks to the staff actively working there). Several interesting ruins of buildings as well as monuments erected in remembrance. The museum is small, but has a very nice summary of the history of the region.

I didn't enjoy the place, the vibe was very anti hindu. The monuments were good. It was well maintained and I like that ASI has put an option of buying tickets online,thus saving whatever paper they could. The ticket price was Rs. 25. The place is perfect for a pre wedding shoot as it has some gorgeous backgrounds.

I went to the Residency after decades. It was a perfect day to sight see The upkeep is exemplary,the entrance ticket was INR 25. There are a lot of ancient peepul and bargad trees bearing silent witness to the violent events that unfolded here during the revolt of 1857. Most impressive were the write ups to the various locations in Braille. I haven't seen this feature anywhere else in the world !! Lots of people were sweeping and keeping the grounds and ruins really clean. There were hardly any people around. Should be a must see for everybody. It was comparable to any monument/ruin say in Europe. Great job by the people in charge of the maintenance.👌🙌

Beautiful place...Built from RED SANDSTONE... in the memory of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar. . Hugeeeeee areaaaaa... Especially the area on the south feels like you're in Italy or Venice.... It's beautiful... Lucknow has so many large park spaces and this is one of them. The cleanliness levels are high and the place is well maintained overall. It is closer to the Gomti river and there's so much space it will take you half a day to cover the entire park. The place looks grand with the elephant statues and fort like structure. Nice play to enjoy an early morning walk or an evening hangout.

The park is very huge. It has a bronze statue of Dr. B R Ambedkar as well as 124 elephant statues. Despite the huge area, it is very well maintained. Visit in the evening to taste the delicious street food outside the park.

One of the famous parks in Lucknow. I suggest you to visit at evening for better experience. It is completely made of marbles and place is very clean. Fast food shops are available outside the park. View of the whole park from top is very nice. Overall, it is a nice place to visit.

A beautifully constructed memorial park, spread over a huge area. The architectural details are pretty amazing, with beautifully planted bonsai trees as well. Locals flock to this place for a nice outing with friends & family.

It's one of the best places in Lucknow to visit during the evening. It glows up during the night very beautifully. The statues and architecture are marvelous & pretty. The park is well maintained and clean. Tickets can be purchased from the entrance gate. Eatables and beverages can be purchased from outside near the gate. There are no shops inside the park. Paid parking is available opposite the entry gate.

A complete waste of space in my opinion as they may plant more trees instead of so much stones and concrete. Place is too hot during day time till 5pm. You can visit in thf evening for lights.

These issues are not only aesthetically displeasing but also detrimental to the health and well-being of both animals and visitors. Furthermore, there was a lack of adequate signage and information about the animals, making it difficult for visitors to understand and appreciate the species they were observing. This lack of educational resources diminishes the zoo's potential as a place for learning and conservation. My kid loved the zoo experience. Animals can be seen from very little distance. White tiger, lion, bear, giraffe, lion, tiger, chimpanzee and other animals are there and can be seen easily. Not very crowded. Many options of eating inside and small tuck shops for pop corn, sweet corn at various places. Toilets are clean. Here you can see lots of animals in such a small walkable distance. Also, can go for cart tour. 1 hr tour costs ₹500 and it's on private basis(no sharing).

It is a very good place for children, old people, youth, students, we have been kept here, animals found in different places all over India, internationally important birds, many species of butterflies have been preserved, which today Due to the time, time, circumstances, increasing environmental pollution, many types of animals that have reached the verge of extinction were kept safe and there are many such artificial houses which have been vacated. I found that some animals like lion, cheetah, fox, all are very weak and sick, so the best care of these animals, food and drink needs to be done more carefully. There is no sign for exit or other facilities throughout the park, only a map has been made at the entrance which has been difficult for everyone to understand. The best initiative is that here the cost of a water bottle is 40 but you do not throw that empty bottle and give it back somewhere inside the park, then 20 rupees will be given back to you, it is really a great initiative. Online ticket booking is a great step in times of fast-paced life as well as in times of pandemic like corona virus when there is a great need for social distancing. However, the desire to visit the State Museum and the fish has remained unfulfilled due to the absence of the date of opening and closing of the park. Which was also very sad for me today as I did not get a chance to see its history and events today. But soon you and I will get a chance to know history again.

Amazing zoo.❤️🤩. There is a toy train which adds extra charm to the zoo. There are many resting point. Due to extreme heat , most of the animals were resting inside their houses or shadowy places. So we can not witness them properly. But a glimpse of them made us happy☺️. There are many exotic colourful birds 🤩 and much more.

Really great experience.. It is a 100 year old Zoological Park.., having some historical structures and Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru's original plane is also here in the state museum. Bring your whole crew.. Battery operated vehicles and their drivers make the trip more convenient. Aged people can also enjoy this place with the help of these vehicles. It's good place to visit with kids. Area is huge and easy to reach. Near main gate it's crowdy but vehicle can be parked in parking area. Toy train ride is short but should be explored. It's only of Rs. 25/- per person. They have faculty of booking E-rickshaw too but some times takes long waiting. Our waiting time was two hours so decided to explore it by walking and it's worth it. There are proper seating areas everywhere in the zoo to sit and relax. If feel hungry you can visit cafeteria too.

Nawab Wajid Ali Shah Zoological Park is very big and well maintained Zoological park. There are various animals and birds, has a wide range of species, including birds, reptiles, and fish. We saw lions, chimps, tigers, leopards, bears, deer, monkeys, giraffes, crocodiles, snakes, turtles, peacocks, and parrots, among many other animals at the zoo, including the Royal Bengal Tiger and the White Tiger. This park is teeming with deer. There are numerous areas for children to play, as well as picnic areas throughout the park. They have a toy train too which covers the whole area of the zoo.... Lucknow State Museum, Fish aquarium, owl house, butterfly park, nature interpretation centre is also located within the park. Overall nice and knowledgeable experience😌

Lucknow Zoo has recently completed it's 100 Years of operation. This is a huge zoo, situated in the heart of the city. The animals inside the zoo are nicely taken care of. I was happy to see a female white tiger who is absolutely gigantic in size and most probably she gave birth recently. There are many spaces & shelters inside the zoo to relax as well. Recommended.❤️

I was so excited before visiting there but excitement didn't remain so long because the place is not as I've thought before and even the tickets are quite expensive as compared to other parks and gardens. I would recommend u to visit here in evening time cuz' in other times you'll not going to see all the animals properly as in noon or other times animals get laziness.

Its an old zoo, you can see lots of animals from close proximity. I really liked giraffe, tiger, vulture(it is so big), crocodile etc. Overall area of zoo is not too large hence can be viewed with on foot and whole visit can be done in 2-3 hrs. Design of zoo is good as it is more less in circular shape, you can use railway track as reference to help to locate yourself in guide maps. There are two gates. You can enter and exit from any gate.

This is located 1km from bada imambara. It is lot less crowded and has museum and a lot of history. It is a tomb. The place is well maintained but taking DSLR inside is not allowed. There are a lot of good food options right outside the main gate. You can sit here in peace for a while.

A beautiful and soothing place. I'd recommend you guys to visit during winter as in summer the temperature is around (35-40)°C so you guys will get exhausted, sun tanned and then it becomes boring. Also make sure you hire a guide for better understanding of the inside architecture and history.

Situated about a km from the Bara Imambara . Very nice and clean place , well maintained. The chandeliers inside are beautiful and each have a story to tell .

It’s a beautiful place and has a lot to see and admire. Make sure to take a head covering ( stole, duppata, shawl ) to cover the head. For women they have stoles if you haven’t got any with you. This is a place of worship and so head covering is a must.

Place is good. Guide is compulsory with a couple. They will tell you about history of why this Imambara was made and the story behind it. Guide is very friendly and tells everything in details. There are lot of beautiful flowers also in the garden. One can take tickets of both bada & chhota Imambara together.

Also known as Hussainabad Imambara, this marvelous structure is basically a congregation hall which was erected in the year 1838 for Shia Muslims by the Nawab of Awadh - Muhammad Ali Shah. Located in the west (some 2 km) of Asafi Imambara, this popular historical landmark in Lucknow also serves as the resting place of Muhammad Ali Shah and his mother. The Imamabara boasts an exquisite construction which is beautifully adorned with several turrets, gilded dome, and chandeliers. At present, Chhota Imambara is reckoned to be one of the must-visit places in Lucknow, mainly because of its grandeur and interesting historical significance. On the special occasions and festivals, the building is festooned with beautiful decoration and is often touted as Palace of Lights. Inside the Imamabar, there is located the crown of Muhammad Ali Shah.

The best part is its not much crowded as others. Nearby you can find shops of all things mainly...food and daily use. Just near to that you can find Clock tower in walking distance. Also, small hotels to grab a snacks.

The architecture is very pretty. The tickets can be bought at the entrance or if you already bought the ticket at Bara Imambara, then this monument is also covered in the same ticket. Hire a guide at the entrance, which charged us 100rs only for the group of 2 people. The guide explained us well, we were left satisfied. Pay only 2rs. at the shoe deposit counter as that's the actual price.

It's near bada imambada and you can enter here with the same ticket of bada imambada. You need to cover your head with a dupatta/clothing as this is a holy place. Photography and videography is not allowed in the main mosque here. The architecture here is very beautiful. There's a story to each corner and you must visit this place to know more about it. For someone having interest in photography and food, do visit this after bada imambada.

One of the peaceful places to visit. Easy to locate. One can purchase the rs.50 ticket here which allows visiting rest monuments as well. Drinking water is available. Shoe rack is available. If you take one ticket from either bada imambara, chota imambara or the picture gallery then that ticket will give you entry for all the three places. Take guide only if you want to else unnecessary charges will be taken. Try malai makkhan at the chowk area which is just heavenly to taste.

You'll have to purchase the tickets from entrance gate. And U can carry your own water bottle if possible... its peaceful there and also there's speakers everywhere playing music in very low volume. Husainabad clocks tower is a landmark in whole complex of husainabad. The monument site under ASI has been conserved recently with the new identification and landscape. Now it don't need any entry tickets and these days it has become a good recreational place among the crowd of lucknow especially of husainabad. The clock tower is surrounded by some old monuments like satkhanda, picture gallery etc and now it has a modern children sports park too

We went for dinner and ordered some Chinese cuisines. Ambiance was good enough dining place. On road in main Hazrat ganj. Two issue I found was 1- wait time was more than usual for three Chinese dishes they took 45mins. 2- Mashroom manchurian dry was not good they fried it too much. Good part was they cancelled it after checking by them only. Rest food was fine. Thukpa Soup was so amazing.

Very good sweet shop in Hazratganj area. Have purchased sweets from here for many years and have always liked it. The store is well maintained and they serve kadhai doodh, ect as well Service is good and they accept credit cards for payment, unlike few others I came across in Lucknow.

My friend and I ordered butter roti (₹55 per piece) and paneer bhurji (₹235), but the staff mistakenly claimed that we ordered paneer khurchi. They served us paneer khurchi instead, which costs around ₹435. I'm not sure if the staff was correct or if they were just pretending to be.

One of the good snacks and sweet places in Hazratganj, Lucknow!! A little overrated on its food quality!!! Some of the food and sweets are good. You will not be disappointed if you want good food. Don't expect finger licking food!!

Service is good and supportive, if you have issues with food so tell them and they will help you and resolve the issue.

Food was good. I ordered Paneer Tikka, Ghungroo Biryani (recommended by them) and falooda kulfi. Let's begin with Paneer Tikka, it was great, loved the flavour and presentation. Didn't enjoy the Ghungroo Biryani, had high hopes from it but didn't taste that great, vegetables were mostly deep fried and spices were missing. Didn't taste like actual biryani. Falooda kulfi was good, especially kulfi, would have loved the falooda if served with little garnish and presented nicely. Service was good and they need to improve on it. Also they need to improve their atmosphere and ambience. Overall will give 3.5 Star.

Vidhan Bhavan building in heart of the city, Hazratganj, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. Nice structure, lights up at night and it looks stunning through the top and through the running roads. It's huge, very well maintained and clean.

Just so peaceful from the city rush, the route to chandika devi is full of peaceful scenery. It's a good place for picnic as well. You can find dhabhas as well on the way . The dhabas give you the feel of cottages. You would really love this place and the temple. The lord Shiva's statue is also a tourist attraction.

It's fake hotel. No such hotel exists over there. It is totally fraud . When you will reach there you will find no such property and call the said manager they will send to you the next hotel near pillar no. 739. And that hotel will charge so much beyond your expectations. They all are working as nexus so beware of this property. They are cheaters.

Mandir has a different vibe and early morning would be right time for visit. The Radha Krishna mandir is really best i have seen. There is very little rush and you will definitely feel good after visiting here.

It was very enormous , and beautiful. Going there on the occasion of Christmas Day is one of the great experience I would ever live. It was very rush on Christmas eve here. The locality of Hazratganj provide It more beauty and escatic environment. Many big small statuses are àlso present here. Must visit here on Christmas Day.

The St. Joseph’s Cathedral is barely 1.1 kilometers away from the Christ Church. The Cathedral was closed but the police officer let me enter the premises. So, I stood outside, sighed at the architectural brilliance & then bowed my head. The St. Joseph’s Cathedral dates to the 1800s. Its architecture is outstanding. I particularly liked how its crescent is topped by a column with a cross. The massive Jesus Christ statue is unmissable. When you have had your fill, move to the right of the Cathedral to pay respect to Mother Mary’s Grotto.

We have seen the golden days of this park, I remember those good days when we didnt get place to sit here because of crowd..but this time whole park was dead silent..the milk booth where we used to drink JUMPIN drink, lays chips etc , it was like dead shut..also boating used to be there on new year but it was all shut. Felt like crying after looking this park in such a bad shape.. Spent our childhood here so feel so sad..

It's good place with enjoy your partner and family .. And just only open inside area on time 5 Pm ...

Seems here officers are earning free salary. Many things are broken inside the park and cleaning is missing. Not sure why no action has been taken against irresponsible officers working here ! May be everyone has their own share . Except that , its good to watch so many beautiful alligators .

What u can get is only peaceful environment ., yes alligators are there in huge numbers., but plz bring water and food items with yourself ., I prefer to go there with your own vehicle., apart this you will feel like forest trip there .

It's a nice place ... Perfect sunday holiday spot... One should visit Kukrail with family

Since childhood, I was very curious of this place always wanted to visit and see the crocodiles🐊 and experience little bit of wildlife, and recently I visited here and this place is not so good as I expected but it was fine. If you want peace from the citylife you can come here and enjoy with your family and friends, The entry is totally free but you have to pay the parking fee🚗. Must visit the museum to know better about the endangered species.

This is a very quiet place, children can be brought here to play and have a peaceful environment here. There is no noise pollution of any kind. The endangered species of crocodiles of India are protected in Kukrail. It is one of the popular picnic spots in Lucknow. There are also arrangements for children's park, cafeteria and rest house. Birds and black bucks can be seen in their natural habitat in this beautiful forest.

You can see Aligator's here, that's the USP. If you're lucky enough, you'll come across crocodile's. Good place to walk but nothing much in terms of food options.

There are some ghadiyals inside the cages. There is also a museum where stuffed animals like tiger, wild buffalo, bear etc are put on display. There are many parks where people can have rest and play games. There are a few swings where children’s can enjoy. However please beware of the monkeys . There are many monkeys in that area, they might snatch food items. The authorities should put some signs and make people aware about this.
