We only went to the water theme park. Less crowded during the fasting season. However, the cleanliness of the pool, slides and other play matters like the buckets should be maintained clean..there was dirt and algae growth all over... Overall it was a great place to spend time 😊

Went to there in last week. There are ample free parking for hotel quests. The staff from the hotel to the House-keeping, the Guards and at the Theme park were all very helpful and friendly, well done! The room was clean and comfortable. It is recommended to equipped with some cutlery like forks an d spoons. The breakfast at the Garden Terrace was not good. The fried rice and beehoon were too salty, variety of food is very minimal. It can be improved somehow. There are many activities in the theme park, it is a good place for the holiday of the family

Fast service when we call the operator. One of our toilets can't flush and we were told we need to manually fill the tank with water before we flush each time. The water splashed from the toilet bowl when the plumber tried to fix it and we had to clean the toilet. The breakfast selection and quality is not as good as other similar hotels. Need to walk across a road to get to the breakfast location too. We are not allowed to request for extra towels but we can request to change towels. The hotel WiFi doesn't work properly. Some of us can't even connect even though we requested help from staff.

This hotel room is pretty basic, but enough for us. Clean and tidy. Service is good. Breakfast is at the lost world entrance, pretty basic food, cost is included in the room rate. The only added point is that this hotel is located next to the Lost world of tambun, and the room rate includes 2 entrance tickets for night park, otherwise the room is considered expensive.

Overall, a wonderful stay that includes a free ticket to the Lost World and is filled with enjoyment. Sadly, because it is pouring, I must forgo some attractions and return to the hotel early. The hotel offers good customer service with prompt responses, and the breakfast is adequate. Everything is fine. No cost parking! Nice and good! Strongly recommended

Very good location as its just opposite lost world themepark. Pros Location. The room also includes themepark night park ticket. Cons Ventilation along the corridor is not very good. The parking is available for the hotel guest but the parking area does not feel very secured The breakfast hall is too far from the hotel, u need to cross the main road to eat breakfast

One of the main issues I encountered was with the secondary lock on my room door. Unfortunately, it couldn't lock properly, which left me feeling a bit uneasy about the security of my belongings. Another problem was the shower heater. Although there was hot water flowing from the basin, the shower heater itself seemed to be malfunctioning. It left me puzzled as to whether the issue was with the heater or something else. The air conditioning in the room was also a bit of a letdown. It was kind of noisy, but I managed to bear with it. However, I believe it's an aspect that could be improved for a more comfortable stay. Lastly, the person in charge of handling luggage seemed a bit clueless, as he parked his van right in the middle of the road to load the luggage. This caused a major inconvenience for other vehicles trying to pass through. To make matters worse, once all the customers and luggage were onboarded, the driver decided to engage in a chat with the hotel staff. This led to traffic jam forming behind the van. Interestingly, I couldn't help but notice that there was a dedicated parking area right near the lobby entrance, specifically intended for vehicles like the van. It left me puzzled as to why the driver didn't opt to use this convenient parking spot, which could have avoided the unnecessary obstruction and delays. While my stay at the hotel was overall enjoyable, this transport mishap certainly left a lasting impression. It's my hope that the hotel management takes note of this feedback and addresses the transport arrangement issues to ensure smoother experiences for guests.

Just across the street to Lost World of Tambun. The staffs were very helpful and friendly. I can't remember the last time a hostel staff actually explained in detail how to get to our room. Excellent service. Our room was clean and nice. We love the complimentary Ipoh white coffee!

Last time we stayed here was a few years ago. I can see that the hotel improved a lot. The hotel is soooo much nicer now. Staffs were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was okay. There are buffet sections as well as some stalls for omelette, noodle etc. Overall a pleasant stay. Will definitely consider staying here again!

Deluxe Room is very roomy, clean and comfortable. Easy access to Lost World Theme Park. Staff was great and friendly! We went for the night park. Nothing much apart for the hot spring tbh. We didn't go for the day park so I can't comment on that.

Love it that they provide refillable water and were very quick with sending the refills over. Didn't like it as their pillow and sheets smells. Bring ur own pillow case. Stay here if you're planning to go to the theme park as there's 2 free night park tickets and 35% off for day park tickets. Room comes with 2 free breakfast but too many good food in Ipoh to try their breakfast. Room can accommodate up to 4 people. Extra roll away bed costs RM160.

Spent a couple of days there and very convenient if you are visiting the Lost World park. Rooms could have been cleaned a bit more regularly but it was comfortable. Service was very good. If you require anything, call reception and somebody is sent within minutes. Overall, had a good stay.

It is a old hotel. Dated room. Bathroom needs renovation. Water pressure of shower head is too weak. They only provide 1 shower gel and 1 shampoo. For a family to use ? Bring your own amenities. Breakfast is okay. Staff service is great. It is a raining day and all water comes inside our room through windows (which are all closed). We call reception desk， they just send someone to clean up the floor and did not change another room to us. Around 12:30 am. Guest from other rooms yelling and pounding the other guest room door and last for at least 30 minutes. I have such bed experience. However all staff are very nice and friendly.

The front counter, housekeeping and maintenance staff were friendly and helpful. Requests for drinking water were always fulfilled promptly. We had issue with the lack of water heating when we first checked in, but maintenance had it resolved quickly upon feedback. Overall, room was spacious and clean. Sufficient amenities provided for our one night stay there. Will definitely recommend if you want to visit the lost world theme park.

Great customer service and very comfortable bed. But unfortunately 1 lift is out of service. Location just opposite theme park. Very convenience. But if you are looking for chinese food, you will need to drive out. Night park fire performance is a must to see.

The room is clean and all important features such as kettle,hair dryer, fridge, Aircon, tv remote control, water heater and lights all work fine. The air conditioning blowers are facing both sides of the bed to ensure even distribution of cool air. I love the practice of using glass bottles for drinking water instead of single -use plastic bottles. Nice complementary coffee too. Friendly staff and nice hot spring facility. My family really enjoyed our stay there.

Nice hotel,easily accessible. Right in front of the waterpark. Wheelchair and stroller friendly. For breakfast buffet had to cross the road. Not so much varieties. Hopefully they can serve more toddler friendly food - other than cereal and highly processed sausages. Maybe some fried rice or fried chicken.

This is a family friendly hotel, very near to the theme park, plenty of parking space. The room is very spacious, clean and the amenities are great! The breakfast is nice. The staff are attentive and friendly. The room come with free Night theme park entrance tickets and they also offer a discount voucher for purchase day theme park entrance ticket.

We went during peak season. The room is fairly basic for the price we pay. We changed 2 rooms due to aircondition was not being cold. The staff upgraded us to a bigger room with 2 ceiling mount aircondition. 5 stars for their excellent service.

I was last at Sunway Lost World Hotel 10 years ago. Perhaps it was recently refreshed then, but I remember it being rather good. I checked into this hotel last weekend and found that it is unfortunately not as nice as I remember. During my 3d 2n stay, my family only experienced hot water all of once. When I complained to the front desk, they sent a maintenance guy who recommended we leave the water running until it was hot. It was obvious there was prior repair work in my bathroom (as well as around the room) in the past and, it was also quite obviously shoddy work. Despite not having any hot water, I suppose it was okay for it to be not cold, at least it was a little bit warm. Another thing that really irked me, was how I could not replenish my water without first surrendering a bottle. Why is it I can only have 2 bottles in the room at any time? @Sunway Lost World Hotel, if you are reading this, those glass bottles really are not worth nicking -- your housekeeping team did their best to explain, but I must say I was annoyed. Bogged down by rigid policies. This being Ipoh, I skipped having meals (breakfast) at the hotel; opting to go out for food instead. But on a rainy night, ordering food for in-room dining was a really unpleasant experience, given there was only one chair (and no sofa) in our corner room. Plenty of space, but one working desk, one chair and nowhere civil to place the food -- what a wasted opportunity! However, I must commend the great staff: from front-desk to housekeeping, who were warm, friendly, patient and seemed to genuinely want to help. Service alone, I'd rate them 4/5. They deserve a pat on their backs, although it feels as though they are struggling with the tools they are provided with. The hotel is just a 5 min walk away from the theme park (which also feels significantly aged since I was last there), and is in decent proximity to most other amenities (fast food, petrol station, pharmacy, grocery store, etc). Town and most of the local fare is in the city center, some 15-20 mins drive away... but there is always Grab if you are too tired to drive out for dinner. All things considered -- I regard the stay as value for money, as room stay also included entry into the theme park (which my kid thoroughly enjoyed). There's no discounting how this is really a budget hotel, but great value for the attached water theme park.

The staff deserves special recognition for their warmth and attentiveness. Every member, from the front desk to the housekeeping, went above and beyond to ensure my comfort. They were not only professional but also genuinely friendly, making me feel welcomed throughout my entire stay.

This hotel isn’t too bad, but not really worth the price. They seem short of staff but they do try their best to help us as fast as they can. They were also short of utilities like towels, so we had to wait quite a while for them after coming back from the hot springs! Besides that, the shower head did not have hot water most of the time and the pressure was really low. But other than that, it was an okay hotel for a few days to bunk in. Food was also okay! I would recommend this hotel just to sleep and eat, but not to relax the whole day and watch TV kinda holiday. Enjoy! :)

Rooms a bit old. But yeah its clean like 3 stars hotel. Bed, bathroom, small tv, aircond. Your typical 3 stars hotel. But service is top notch. Especially when ask them to adjust the aircond fan, and refill water. Very fast and helpful. They also provide baby cot which is such a plus point for parents with small baby. Location is strstegic near to the main city, easy to go everywhere and the waterpark is just infront of the hotel. Breakfast : they provide simple food not something amazing. Can eat thats all. Not a lot variety just nasi lemak, cereal, noodle, porridge. With very fewwwwwww side dishes . (When we come also everything empty already) But its ok since our plan also going to explore ipoh delicacies and play inside waterpark. TV only tv cable dont have any nice to watch, especially when u have a bored toddler it would be suck. Nothing to watch at all. Aircond nice cool and strong (best, especially in ipoh hot weather) Toilet water is very weak so when u need to do ypur business. You will have a bit anxiety when u flush. But ok lah after 30 mins u try to flush again it will go down. Shower is ok. Hot water just fine. The best thing i noticed from the hotel they write everything on the bottle that we can just call to refill our water. Which is so glad to read. Not all hotel will tell u that. Because some hotel will only provide 2 mineral water. And since they support sustainability they will help us refill our water. And service once again was superb. It was really fast and helpful. Outside room door would be a bit creepy and oldie when u walk. Maybe a bit renov might sound better. Indeed it was an old hotel, but luckily because of the waterpark got a lot peoples staying in this hotel so it feel less creepy. BUT IT WAS A GREAT STAY AFTER ALL.

Han Chin Pet Soo ,Malaysia's First tin mining museum. It is on the banks of river Kinta. It is number one attraction in the Ipoh. Originally it was the Hakka tin miners club. The back yard of this becomes the town square. The museum can with prior arrangement can offer Hakka themed dinner.

Great place to visit. Please make reservations earlier. Know more about tin mining and the Hakka history.

History of ipoh through tin mining period. Great guide tour. Need to book it online. It's free, but a donation of 10MYR suggested and is very reasonable. Very informative guide and good exhibition of life during the mining periods. Recommend.

A must go in Ipoh, the building is beautifully restored to tell the history behind. You could get a glimpse of Ipoh's tin mining history and the old glory days, as well as the Hakka culture. Joining the guided tour is the only way to visit (as of Apr 2023), so make sure you make a reservation online in advance! Admission is completely free and you're encouraged to donate freely to support the reservation.

Great place to hear about the tin mining history of Ipoh and the many hardships they faced and how hard they laboured. The guide was highly knowledgeable too. My two teens enjoyed the visit too.

Considering they don’t charge entrance fees, it’s perfect. It’s an hour long tour conducted by Leong. Good to understand a bit of old ipoh town history. Fun fact: do you know that Ipoh got its name from Epau which was probably a name of a local orang asli village back in the 1800s before it gained prominence for its tin mining community. Please do remember to donate to the cause as your heart desires to support them in keeping the history of Ipoh.

Well organised one hour tour with extensive information of the building and the Hakka community. Tour guide explains everything clearly and has good sense of humor. Next door is a free herbal tea museum.

If you have a great passion with histirocal places, then this the best place for you. Very recommended! You can also see a lot of antique stuff from ancient time. Great place for tourist too.

A historical building. There's nothing much to see on the inside. During night time, the birds will be staying at the roof so beware! The toilet isn't free, I think it costs 50 cents.

The station is located in the heart of Ipoh station and easy to get into the town via Grab in just less than 10 minutes. The train arrive on time. Such as beauty of "Taj Mahal of Ipoh'

It was a smooth and quiet ride and the seats (platinum) were fairly comfortable. It doesn't indicate on the ticket itself which platform's train to board so do ask the staff if you aren't sure. The system is somewhat primitive but it works - while QR is used for passengers to enter through the gates, staff would place a physical printed card (with the next train's scheduled arrival time) near the entrance to indicate that it's time for passengers to line up for the train. There would also be a short announcement through the loudspeakers. There is no need to be there too early like in the airports as the process is fairly simple (just don't miss the train!). From my observation, the trains come and leave on time. While I liked the heritage feel of this old building, some parts looked like they needed maintenance. At the front of the building is a park with what seemed like an old, dysfunctional water fountain in the middle of it. You'd also have to pay 30 sen to enter the toilets in the building, so it's best to use the ones in the ETS trains if you're traveling.

First time taking train in Malaysia through Ipoh train station,which is at the heart of Ipoh city Centre. I love the historic built of the place. Improvement could be made on hygiene and building conservation.

Great to be back here again after away for so many years...thanks to COVID. A very smooth train ride from KL. Always a busy train station and credit to KTM for the very clean coaches and station. Love the heritage look & feel of the station. Glad to see Ipoh so green, lush and well taken care off by the Ipoh council. Keep up the good work.....a sure bet that will boost state tourism.

Old train stations but preserved quite well. For those who are looking for locker/ luggage storage, yes they have. Located on the left wing near the prayer room. Costs RM10 for big locker and RM5 for small locker. Need to change your money into token, no change money.

Ipoh is one of the important historical cities in Malaysia. It's the capital of Perak state. I really liked the city as I love history and heritage. It's beautiful city with many historical buildings and monuments. We did Ipoh as a day trip from Kulala Lumpur on the ETS train network. It was a memorable experience.

I came here for the early 20th-century British railway station architecture. Don't miss the easter egg - an underpass that leads you to the other side of the tracks, and a couple of old railway temples. It's like an RPG side quest.

We were here in 2002 and stayed in the rooms on the first floor. An interesting stay! The bed collapsed off the bricks holding it up and the only natural light was through the door. Breakfast was served in the old waiting room on the ground floor, freshly made and a cooked breakfast arrived one minute later ! It was a lovely old building with a gorgeous veranda with rattan sofas and slowly rotating fans. A beautiful old colonial building

Historical railway station. Always nice and clean. Quite spacious and easy to get a seat. Organized area for pick up and drop off. Always nice traveling through Ipoh Railway Station. Always nice to be back in Ipoh after 2 years. Nothing has changed other than the new fancy turn styles that scan your ticket QR code. Washrooms are still reasonably clean and all COVID protocols and best practices were being observed. Never gets old to come back home to Ipoh! Nothing ever changes much at the train station but it is still well maintained and free washrooms today! Bonus! Feels great to be back!

Busy place. Dedicated place for e-hailing. Nice view. Take ETS to Penang or KL. Train is on time, overall environment is clean. The station has machine to scan ticket QR code when enter or exit, no need print physical ticket. Fast and efficient.

What an amazing place! Highly recommend if you are traveling in Ipoh. Beautiful cave and Buddha statues. After entering the cave it will lead you to the other side of the mountain, it’s like entering to a beautiful park. Those with young children, you can actually buy fish food at the entrance of the cave before heading in. There’s lots of proper parking lots, so for those who drive you don’t have to worry too much.

The temple is a located just outside from Ipoh, but easy to reach from the highway. The parking lot is really close by and obviously suitable. We found easily a place on a Sunday afternoon. The parking is free of charge. There are also decent washrooms available in front and in the back of the temple. The temple itself is amazing, there are usually a lot things you find in many other temples, too. For instance nice statues from Buddhists or Confucius and all the other related religions symbols, but here this is all embedded into an amazing scenery of this limestone cave. You can see the impressive stalactites and structure of the limestone in a mysterious light. If you leave the temple on the other side you will find a nice yard or garden area with lakes and some options to spend more time in the nature. The whole area is very clean and the facilities looking well maintained. We spend there almost two hours on a early Sunday afternoon and the place was not so crowded. Even our children where impressed by this temple.

As a tourist, I really recommended to this cave (gua). Peaceful with serene environment. Some activities available here, self cycle duck boat & bi-bicycle, wishing tree, massage stone walkway, feeding fish in the big pond. No ticket entry charge but may donate some for maintenance. Awesome view enter into cave then came out from the cave with a pond view. Water drop naturally flow from top of cave. Suggest to come before noon time.

Place is literally a cave. The formation is interesting and even majestic. They would put lamps to highlight certain parts of it. Some stalactites also continue to grow (you can see water dripping from their tips). There is no entrance fee to go there so it's a good thing if you just want to view the place. On the other side of the cave, there's a river where you can rent a boat with family and friends. There's also a rent-a-bike and fish feeding activities. Overall the place is worth visiting if you like to see nature. The rock formation of the cliffs around the area is also beautiful. But besides that, there is nothing much else to see or do. Except if you are there to worship, of course. They have sculptures of Buddha and other religious figures.

This place is magnificent. From the entrance you will welcome with a grand Hall with Buddha for praying and beautiful limestone. Further up you will presented a paint like scenery with lake and beautifully crafted landscape. You can't resist to have taking photographs over and over again. The scenery gives you feels of peaceful. Make sure you visit Kek Lok Tong when you are at Ipoh.

It is a very enjoyable experience for a family day out. Go early to enjoy the cool atmosphere and avoid the crowd. The cave stalactites and stalagmites are awesome. The climb up to them is easy and can be done by the young and old. At the other end of the entrance, you'll find a decent to the zen garden where a slow walk along a pathway lined with statues of various deities, and its history explained its a must-read. Then there's the activity of the pedal boat and quad cycles.. here I'd where you cab bond with your friend and family.. laughter is guaranteed!!!🤣🤣🤣a driving the pedal boat can be a challenge for some. The cycle rides will tend to bring out the racing driver in you. Especially when racing with other members. Don't worry, it can't go very fast. To may encounter some domestic fowls and wild monkey too🐒 What's great is also the free entrance to the cave but the rides are not expensive and affordable for exercise while having fun.

A must visit if you come to Ipoh. Recommended to go early in the morning, since it would be much less crowded. It's simply beautiful and stunning, from the very front to the back garden. For those who travels using public transport, no worries it's really easy to book grab around the area, n they come pretty fast too.

There's a cave and a lake at the end of it. The atmosphere is tranquil and surrounded by green scenery. Nice place to take photos and enjoy some activities such as cycling and swan boat paddling. Parking is free and spacious but crowded during weekends

This place is stunning. Picturesque landscape with a beautiful temple built inside. It's truly a spectacle Outside they have a beautiful garden and lake at well, surrounded by limestone cliffs. I was lucky enough to see some of the wildlife there as well You can explore a couple of sections of the cave temple and see statues and holy areas. The natural cave system combined with a stunning temple means this is a must see location on your Ipoh adventure

This place was beautiful. Free entry to the cave/ park area. The boat ride was short but worth the $3 (USD) The cave is wheelchair accessible to entire by ramp. When inside there was a wheelchair elevator to one of the higher levels of the cave. However just note that the other exit to the park after going through the cave has only stairs which is unfortunate considering the actual paths were very flat in the park. Overall definitely recommend checking this place out.

Nice place and nice view. This cave very clean, has been cared by the management very well. I can teach my child about stalactite and stalagmite. The view is awesome. Walk through the cave and straight to the lake. You can feeding the fish, rent a cycle, and paddle boat. RM 20 for 30 minit.

A picturesque place with lots of nice spots for photo taking. If you enjoy cycling, there are also tandem bikes for rent. From its natural cave arches to the well-maintained landscaped garden, Kek Lok Tong is one of the nicer temples.

Fee entrance, worth going. Quite considerate. Wheelchair and child pram friendly. They even build a lift for the wheelchair so there is no need to climb. Garden is beautify. Worth coming. Close at 430. But recommended to come latest 3pm is you wish to walk the whole garden. But I heard from the local 430 is where they close the parking gate only, if you are still inside, there is some small allowance. Lots of monkey, beware of your belongings.

This cave is an eye opener to many. The magnificent stalactites and stalagmites are enough to blow your mind away. It’s very windy and cooling inside. There’s also a huge garden and children playground at the back.

This cave temple is great and wasn’t very crowded. The cave itself is huge with impressive formations and the walkways and stairs to the different chambers are well maintained. The gardens out back are nice to walk around. I didn’t do the boat ride or the bikes, which looked fun, but walked along the river and the scenery is nice. It’s quite a peaceful atmosphere.

One of the best of the many infamous cave temples in Ipoh. The really good thing about this cave temple is that it attracts people multiple race ethics and of different faiths to visit this spectacular cave. Great view of the vast garden and lake right at the inner side of the cave walking alongside the macaques that walks freely and they are not as aggressive as you have seen in many other places. Need to be cautious though in not approaching those baby macaques as their mums can be overly protective. The only spoliation is right at the back of the garden where there is a marble mining quarry. Definitely a good place to visit when in Ipoh.

A beautiful cave temple which is maintained well. Parking is free and have enough space. You will enter through one side of the temple and more amazing scenes are located on the other side of the cave. The statues are big which is located inside the temple. Outside, you have cycling and boating available and can have recreation in the nearby park which is surrounded by a lake.

Really beautiful temple and cave! The stalagmites and stalactites were really well preserved, and so uniquely grown. So stunning! The statues were also very clean and well maintained. Loved reading the descriptions of the monks and the history of this temple. There’s also a park at the bottom of the temple, where you can rent tandem bikes for rm10/ half an hour. Very very fun! Would definitely recommend spending about 2 hours at the temple to fully enjoy and appreciate the things they have to offer. Enjoy! :)

An enchanting place to visit and explore a large cave within a city ...full of stalactites and stalagmites with a hidden valley and waterways. BUT BEWARE of wild monkeys...STRICTLY NO FEEDING PLEASE...!!! COME EARLY AS THERE ARE SO MUCH TO SEE... Definitely will come again... Highly Recommended for those who love nature...

Breezy and cooler upon entering the cave. Nice big back garden. Rock mining behind the garden by an outside entity somehow spoils the otherwise splendid view.

Son brought me and nephew to this lovely cave temple which is more a tourist attraction. A Malay couple were posing for their wedding photos in the garden behind the temple. The cave formation is very nice with water dripping down some of the stalactites onto the stalagmites. Lots of birds in front and monkeys at the back.

i thought it is another china town but ok lah. Vendor from all races are here. Small alley and too pack with the visitors, if you are the one who follow the SOP, i dont suggest this place. Some vendor need to enhance the cleanliness while preparing food.

Cute shops with overpriced stuff. Interesting vibes good for photos. Maybe kids would enjoy the most.

This lane roars to life during the weekends, unfortunately I arrived on a weekday at around 6 pm+++ and all the shops were closed (but I found a really good tze char nearby). Super crowded during festive season or long holiday period. Literally packed with people. Nothing much to do or see. Some art and craft stores and some clothing shops. Pricey food stalls along the lane.

Quite overrated i think. It’s okay for first timer but maybe for me, we will not repeat this place. Too many people at one time, all the items and food are pricey. Just take picture, OOTD and then can go back haha. But there’s a few attractions at that lane, one of them is place like harry potter. Nice one can hang out there instead of walking around that street.

For me it is over rated place. The lane is too short with overated product and the price is too expensive. One more thing there is no signiture attraction here.

It's a concept that's successful in many places. For me however, the lane is too short and I wasn't whelmed by the offerings. If you are in the area, then by all means go there for a walk, otherwise, you wouldn't have missed much. I didn't find anything that jumped up at me. Nor did the food choices pique my interest.

The lane itself is a typical tourist trap with zero connection to the past. Walk around few blocks to get an idea of the past. Fortunately a lot of renovations will bring back the past glory, spendor.

Cute area/district. There's a lot of beautiful murals and coffee shops. Although they can be a bit on pricier end. I'd suggest walking a little out of the area for a bite. If you're a budget backpacker. Overall, it's worth a visit.

Popular street with food stalls, Cafe, retro feel. This is a walking street. Many Cafe here have nice retro decoration. A good place to have some foods and photo. Car park is a bit further down near the river. Will be hot in the afternoon.

Nice street in Ipoh. Unique food and cafe. Plenty of fashion outlet. Traditional Ipoh biscuits available here as well.

Very busy touristy street. Variety of stuff available but really a tourist trap these days. You can go visit after having breakfast or lunch at the restaurants kong heng/ thean chun but dont expect it to be much if u have been to klang valley or are from klang valley. Parking is horrible as its difficult to find parking.

So much of the hype being here. There were sea of people during weekends and not really recommended if you’re not keen of too crowded places. Well, it was a short lane with kiosks of people selling viral food and fancy items. Bargain before you make any purchase. It is really a tourist trap. However, if you come during less crowded time, you might enjoy the stroll.

Small corridor just between two rows of shop lots. Most of the shop that open they have another stall in front. Mostly are selling souvenirs, special foods, handmade ice cream, accessories, etc. Most of the shop if you see from outside looks small, but inside is actually quite big because the layout is long. However suggested to be careful of your belongings since the road is small and lot of people walking inside. Recommended go early to ovoid crowds.

Didn't know reservation could be made so we needed to wait for 30 mins. It is a great tribute to the founder and learn the history of the company. 6 different kids of herbal tea are served at the end. Note that they only sell the herbal tea in set/combo at the museum.

Lovely little museum on the history of the famous ho Yan hor herbal tea. Gorgeous old furniture and interesting story. You get a free introduction by one of the staff and a tasting of the teas after. I really appreciated that you didn't feel pushed to buy anything today made the experience much nicer. Remember to book your visit. We just signed up for the next slot as we were walking by but might be busier during holiday times

Need to have advanced booking beforehand. Comprehensive history of Mr . Ho and his experience in establishing the famous brand of herbal tea shown by the story boards. Takes about half an hour to read through.The exhibit is well maintained and displayed. The trial of the different herbal tea at the end of the tour is a very nice experience for one to know the taste and effect of each type of herbal tea available, and guests can purchase according to their preference or need.

Although there's nothing interactive in this little museum, it's very informative and professionally set-up. Strict adherence to SOP here, so come early to avoid long queues. I saw some people losing patience with the staff, which was unfair as they are just complying with limits of people in the venue. The tea tasting at the end is really a highlight as well, and their gift packages were really good value.

It's worth going to have a knowledge of how this great tea producing company got started in the beginning. The entrance is free of charge. The voluntary staff are friendly and knowledgeable. It is worth a visit.

Can't imagine if a big group comes by. Enjoyed d herbal tea tasting at d end of tour. Wld prefer them to b more flexible in d sale of their teas so we can buy more 😅

This is the place where the founder started his business and he stayed here. It's an old double storey shop house. The staff is friendly and give a brief history about the founder and the place. Then we proceed to explore the museum. The museum is very clean and well maintained. The herbal tea is served after the tour and you may purchase from them. The tea is nice.

Quite an impressive small museum that showcase the chronology of the herbal tea wonders. The entry was free and they offered brief introduction upon entering to the exhibition space. You get the taste their teas for free and deals are available for buying their products at the end of the tour. Pretty worthy and friendly vibes with the aunties. Expect some waiting time during weekend as they limit the amount of visitors to enter the building. That's quite a good strategy for better experience. Highly recommended.

The museum used to be Dr Ho Kai Cheong's original home. Admission to the museum is free, although there's a limit for 12 people at a time to visit. The guide was very knowledgeable about Dr Ho Kai Cheong's lifetime. For someone who loves history, it's a great experience learning the origins of the Ho Yan Hor herbal tea brand. At the end of the tour, I was given six different Ho Yan Hor tea samples to try. I bought some herbal tea as a souvenir for myself, my family and my friends. It is recommended to everyone to go here when you travel to Ipoh.

Nice museum. And it's free. Show the life and development of the brand and owner. Need go early to book a visiting hour. We book one at 11.30am around 1.30pm got to enter . Just have some time to have lunch and stroll around while waiting. Parking available just behind the muzeum. The parking@perak app can be use to pay for parking. However minimum reload of RM10 is needed.

A very good place to visit. This place is about the biography of Prof. Ho the founder of Ho Yan Hor herbal tea. Do visit their site to book a visit earlier. Tea tasting at the end of tour is great they don't force you to buy anything but the product is cheaper than outside. There are only two products RM50 and RM25

This was not part of my itinerary. Was actually a side tour and I initially planned to go, only if I had time. Boy, am I glad I made it here! This has gotta be hands down the most informative and well kept musuem I ever been to in Malaysia. Its clean, bright and the tour guide, Lady Soo was so enthusiastic! She just makes the entire tour so much more joyful, considering her advanced age...Lady Soo is a darling! The musuem is FREE, yup FREE of charge. There are time slots though so check it before you pop up. I was a single rider and managed to squeeze myself in, thanks to the kind Lady Soo. She will also serve you complimentary Ho Yan Hor herbal tea after the tour. She gives a preliminary background on the founder and how to self navigate yourself around the musuem. The musuem is 2 floors, located in a restored pre war building so everything is fragile. Please do not touch, but pictures are welcomed. Multi-lingual large posters lined the walls explaining the humble beginnings at the ground floor, while first floor explains their international expansion. Be proud of our local products. I know I felt super proud after the tour. Its small but I think the size is just nice. You can easily spend 30minutes here if you read every artifact's explanation. In addition to the complimentary herbal tea after the tour, you also get to purchase the tea and other products at a promo rate. You can give them away as souvenirs too. Highly recommended to visit in Ipoh. Much more fun and educational than Concubine Lane.

Interesting museum about the history of a famous tea/pharmaceutical brand and a bit of history about Ipoh as well. The space is very small so you may have to get a return time if you're a walk in visitor. Staff are all very friendly. Nice way to spend a little time on the heritage trail.

A very informative visit to the history of Chinese Herbal Tea. A well known Herbalist from Ipoh, Dr Ho Yan Hor. The tour will take about 20 mins and at the end you will be given to taste 6 types of teas. Admission is free. Highly recommended to visit!

Lovely little museum to learn about the history of herbal tea in Ipoh and a paradise to hide from the scorching heat. This ac’d museum showcase the life of Ho Kai Cheong and his success. Staff were really friendly and attentive and the museum has some interesting displays. Guests also get to try a couple of different herbal teas with no pressure whatsoever to make purchase. Enjoyed my visit truely. Oh make sure you contact them to make a reservation. This seems to be a common practice at those smaller museums in Ipoh.

This was the best place to take selfies with the creative paintings on the walls. There are different stories behind the paintings and different way of each artists expressed themselves. Some of the paintings may lighten up our childhood memories. The art walks are located along the narrow lanes which connect to the busy main roads. The art walks supposed to be an enjoyable walk and safe for pedestrians. Somehow, today I witnessed a mini truck driver that drove recklessly around a corner (when turning from main road to the narrow lane) almost ran over a tourist. Luckily, one of his friends spotted the speed of mini truck and shouted out loud. For those who are interested, the mini truck has a license plate with PPB7678 (as shown in the pic). Even after the near missed incident, the driver kept on honking on other pedestrians as if the driver trying to meet the delivery deadline. Hope my beloved art lovers be aware of this and watch out for any incoming vehicles when visiting the art walks.

it is the place which can easily done the history project for school, but for me it is a little bit boring because i hate history. there have very nice explanation and there also have some technology to show the important place when find the bijih timah(sorry, for my poor english)

Highly recommended place to visit! Astonishing view everywhere, from the cave to the trekking trail. The view from the top is worth it. Stairs are really steep near the top so be really careful when climbing/descending. It took me a comfortable 1 hour to go up and down. It's a great hike to digest my breakfast before continuing with more Ipoh delicacies.

Beautiful, traditional and peaceful cave temple in northern side of Ipoh. The weather outside was very humid, but the moment we stepped in we could feel the humidity vanish and were greeted by a continuous gush of wind. Some beautiful statues and there is a steady stream of worshippers. You can also climb to the very top and we did it in the afternoon heat. The climb takes about 30 minutes - be careful since some of the steps are very narrow. View from the top is nice, though mostly the industrial part of Ipoh is visible. We also wanted to engage the fortune teller, but was very busy with another group and after waiting for 20-odd minutes we decided to leave. Lots of sweet dogs in the premises - they are friendly and taken care of by the temple staff. There is a small shop outside the temple (within the premises) manned by a friendly old lady who outside sells sweet pomelo and that helped us cool down after the hike.

Glad to have found this on the map and randomly we decided to come here for a visit. The temple in the cave is magnificent. Murals on the wall is interesting as well. Unfortunately there isn’t any translation around, just all in Chinese writing. There are quite a few resident dogs wandering around too, but don’t worry, they are just chilling around. Too bad we went here late, did not managed to walk up the cave. Make sure to go early as the stairs will be closed at sharp 4pm.

Free of charges. If u are buddhist i guess u can pray here. There are stairs to climb up the cave and the stairs are very steep. If u can make it to the top the view is beautiful. Make sure u wear sport shoes to climb up and proper attire also.

It is one of the many cave temples in Perak. The differentiating part is that it has a path from inside the cave temple that leads outside and all the way up to the hill top. It was not an easy climb, and the view at the top was not spectacular. The only fulfilment was the accomplishment of conquering the difficult climb and an unqiue experience.

A pleasant visit to the Perak Cave temple. The highlight of this cave temple was hiking up to the top but we stopped at midpoint as my boy was already tired. It was a good exercise though. We fed the fish in the pond before leaving for lunch.

This is a do not miss when you’re in Ipoh. The cave is huge and along with many statues of the Buddha there are beautiful paintings all over the walls! The hike up to the viewpoint is great. It is quite far but there are a few different pagodas along the way if you don’t want to go all the way up. Once you exit the cave the path splits but both lead you up to a flat area. Here there are two paths you can take, the stairs to the right go past a statue and a lower pagoda or the stairs in the building to the left lead all the way to the top(there’s signage that says ‘to the top’). The steps to the top are quite narrow at places but the view is superb, even on a hazy day when I was there. It’s a shame the temple is only open 8-5, would be a nice place for sunrise/sunset.

Amazing and beautiful caves, also a Chinese Buddhist temple, certainly worth a visit. A climb to uphill, which is beautiful. However, the surrounding area is a bit over developed, which is not compatible to this caves.

I went here today and enjoyed it. It's a cool cave temple and you can walk all the way to the top for a pretty cool view. It gets very hot so bring water and maybe go earlier then I did at 1.45pm. It's free entry but you can leave a donation. A must visit in Ipoh!

Free entrance. Beautiful cave temple and chilled environment. You may climb to the top where there is a gazebo to rest and enjoy the view, before 4pm. Lighting lamps to pray for blessings also avaible for few choices and price.

Absolutely worth the trip. Like all other temples also this one is free. I suggest going early in the morning (I went at 9.30) to avoid going to the top under the hot sun at noon. Climb time is from 9:00 to 16:00. The cave itself is beautiful and filled with majestic statues. In the back of the cave you will find steps that lead to the top of the limestone rock. It is a 15 minutes walk to the top but it’s totally worth the effort. Up there you will have the best view over the surrounding area. I think that usually an hour would be enough, but I spent almost 2 hours there. I’ve explored every single path, chilled on the top for at least 15 minutes and talked with a friendly Japanese couple.

Lovely Place. A temple in the middle of limestone cave. It is a beautiful temple which maximally use the attributes of a limestone cave. The cave’s have lot of level and rooms which decorated with religion relics (e.g. sculpture, painting etc.). If you enough fit than you can go the top of the hill inside the cave on 400 stairs. You find two pagodas there. But, if you are not enough fit than miss the climbing. You had seen the most beautiful part already. The temple’s community is very kind and provide you free fresh tea in the cool, shadow. Please, support them with a small amount and you will hear voice of thanks drum.

Temple in a cave. Temperature was cool upon entering with a chill breeze. Many religious statues on display at different locations and height in the cave. There were many delicate drawings of deities on cave walls as well. Well wisher could offer prayers and respect should they wish to. Special: A climb to the the peak of the cave. For those more adventurous, 15-25min climb to the top. The big 佛 character on the wall is just the half way mark. The second half is more steep than the first half. Perak, specifically Ipoh, is renowned for its caves, many of which have been transformed into religious temples. During my recent visit to Perak Cave, I was just as impressed as I was when I first visited at the age of 15. If you find yourself in Ipoh, don't miss the chance to experience this remarkable temple.

Super well maintained cave temple with stairs inside of cave to the pavilion on top. If you are adventurous, do climb it! Enjoyed the place very much.

Buddhist temple build inside a limestone cave. Really calm and quiet. So many statues of Lord Buddha and Chinese Gods. There's a hike of about 1000 stairs to the top of the hill where you can see whole Epoh form the top. There are several view points in the top. You should take your own water if you wish to take that hike.

A beautiful sight for tourists to come and visit, and not far from the centre of Ipoh so you can easily take a Grab there. Not much to say as the pictures you can find online pretty much speak for themselves. We arrived around 4pm on a Sunday and it wasn’t very busy. No need to buy tickets but you can (are expected to?) donate upon entering. We didn’t climb to the top ourselves, only got about half way. You still get something of a view from part way up, and there’s plenty to enjoy inside the cave itself even if you don’t want to climb all those stairs. Obviously you’ll get more out of your trip if you’re fit enough to climb to the top, but I’d say this cave temple is well worth a visit either way.

Such an amazing temple built at the mouth of a huge cave! We climbed up to the very top (about 430 steps give or take) and the view was gorgeous!! It was hot and some steps were questionable but it was worth it for us. In the cave there are a few different buddha statues around. There’s also free tea. We could hear the bats chirping up in the ceiling holes! Very cool

Beautiful place to have a short hike to the top. Put in the effort to climb to the furthest gazebo. It has an unobstructed view there. Also, the is the view at the other end of the temple that you have to climb up to as well. Enjoy!

Think there are a number of tao cave temples on this road. We decided to stop at this one, given the reviews. Easy parking on the kerb. Front garden of the temple is quite picturous. Inside, arrows pasted on the floor lead you from one chamber to another and eventually to the rear. At each chamber there are altars to deities. At the rear, there is tortoise pond. Out front, the vegetarian restaurant seemed closed. Lots of colourful porcelain tea caddies.

One of the first & oldest cave in Ipoh. Very picturesque garden in front with a tortoise pond behind the temple. A good location for photo spots with a very beautiful orange coloured abandon building behind the temple. Looks like the current pandemic has affected this 3 Treasure Cave {Sam Poh Tong}. Do come by to visit.

This place still the same..like never change. The tortoise feeding still as good. My kids had a great time feeding the tortoises.... Worth visiting if like feeding animals.. however other than feeding the tortoise there is practically nothing much to be done..

It's used to be one of the famous cave temple in Ipoh while we are still a kid. It look like there is nothing much they do with this temple. Should do some reno to keep it beauty especially the landscape still beautiful to take photos. If not it will lost their visitors natter from local or overseas.

It was quite picturesque, but not much to see honestly. Kinda confused me whether the inside were available for public or for prayers only so I didn't go in, turns out the famous spot might be inside so yeah I kinda missed it I guess 😂, but the front was good enough. Didn't spend so much time here compare to the other temple, overall it was an okay visit for me.

Nice and peaceful place to spend 1 or 2 hours visiting the beautiful architectonic design of the Temple, the garden and the pond. Enter into the Temple and continue on the back, through the cave... you will enter into another garden with another majestic temple built on the other side of the mountain.

One temple inside a cave. You can enter closed valley across the cave. Inside the limestone surrounded valley an another temple stands with a turtle pool. It is interesting construction by nature and man. The north Perak Cave Temple is bigger and nicer. Although the turtle pool is unique. Do not forget to buy turtle feed at the entrance.

I haven't been here for more than 20 years and have no impression of this place. Many places have not been taken care of. I donated some money, hoping to help. After all, taking good care of this place will attract more tourists. I only have an impression of the turtle pond here, but I feel like it wasn't well taken care of. A lot of turtles are missing.

Definitely a must to come, especially for avid photographers 😍 No entrance tickets needed. Dress decently and enjoy the view!

It's unique and mystic scenery surroundings makes one feel like you have traveled back in time, in this historical place. One of the best place I find is the inviting yet enticing is the cave opening. Beautifully landscape garden surrounding the large pond. The tall pagoda building is another add feature, where I find it mesmerizing.

I had high hopes for this temple. As it is the oldest cave temples in Ipoh. However, sad to say this temple crushed all my hopes from the moment I stepped in. A line of elderly beggers lined the bridge towards the entrance. Honestly, they look healthy and fit for me. Able limbed despite the old age, they could easily volunteer at the temple grounds and perhaps earn an honest keep instead of begging which is really an eye sore and giving all the wrong messages. The temple and local authorities ought to take stern action on this to preserve our country's image. The temple looks dilapitated and worn out. Such a sorry state as one could see what potential the garden has. Sam Poh Tong is situated at the end of a row of 3 cave temples and for me, it retains the most authenticity to deity and nature. It has a lovely garden and fish pond which could be restored to ite heyday glory with just a little upkeep. Its quiet and tranquil but it has lost its lustre. The worship area is inside the cave. I read about access to another pond and building but due to lack of signages, I could not locate it. The temple keepers also do not look welcoming at all. Much needs to be improved on this temple. Only the fruit vendor outside is friendly, perhaps coz he's a salesman. Please restore Sam Poh Tong and remove the beggars.

Really nice temple area. Being located inside a cave made it a really unique experience. We have been to lots of temples in Thailand before and this temples was something “new” for us. Also the outside area was really beautiful and great to see. We spent around an hour in this and the temple next to it. There are also turtles that are really cute. Entrance was free.

It used to be a grand temple, but gone are its glory days and is now in need of major repairs. Some of the most iconic parts of the temple are out of bounds to visitors. Nevertheless, it is still worth a visit given its historical place as one of the first cave temples. Besides the grand compounds, visitors can do (1) prayers, (2) feed tortoise, and (3) feed fish. Children will love the feeding activities.

The place was filled with tourists. Parking lot was mediocrely manager with free of rm5. The parking spot infront of the temple complex is muddy and uneven Nevertheless the temple was attractive with its interesting chinese cultural architecture and statues. But being a unknown to buddhist and chinese ancestorial beliefs, not much can be understandable from the statues or its stories.

Another serena Tao temple in beautiful surrounding with patrs carved into a cave. The turtle pont and the abudoned building behind the cave would need some maintenance to give it a better look.

Of you like temple is okay. You must climb to the top of the hill. Water on the steps, so watch your steps. There are too many steps, but it is worth it 👌 before the top you can have a nice view from the city. On the top the trees are too tall and can't see much.

Its a good place for sight seeing (Fresh air, breezy). FREE ENTRANCE. Theres a hidden temple inside the caves. Can buy intense n may you may make donation (theres a dination box) if you wish too. Hv not been there for a year . Half of the tortoises gone. They use to hv a lot there. They seems to be really hungry when we feed them with tomatoes ( Rm4 per small bowl). They will come to you :)

Much quieter and more beautiful than the very touristy temple on the same road. The garden is incredible and the old temple out the back of the cave feels like a secret. Incredible to see

interesting cave temple. visited this temple when I was a child. After more than 30years, place seemed still well maintained. My children enjoyed feeding the fishes with fish feed and tortises with 🍅 after walking thru the long tunnel.

Funtasy House Trick Art is a really cool place with amazing 3D Trick Art Illusions. When you go there, it feels like going into a make-believe world where everything looks unreal. The paintings on the walls make you feel like you're inside the art! It's so much fun to take pictures because the illusions look real in the photos. I had a great time and would tell my friends to check it out for sure

Quite plenty of great art. Staffs are friendly and accommodating. Parking is not always easy but it shouldn't be a long walk either. Bring umbrella. Photos quite awkward as I had to remove myself from them.

It's a good and short experience. I hope they have more to offer. But so far all is good. Their staff is also very friendly and since I travelled solo, they offered to help me to take my photo but I am all good doing it my own.

Exciting place, very affordable ticket price, total maximum 2hr need to complete all the rooms. Tips: Take a sample photo of all the arts which are hanging beside the main art. It will help you to rotate the image when back home.

This is a 3D trick art museum that has a lot of interesting trick arts. As far as I know, before this building became a 3D museum, it was also a heritage building that acted as a shoe store. Therefore, it is very joyful for those who like trick arts or heritage history.

This place has a total of 2 floors; the walls adorned with photos and stickers on the floor guide guests to capture moments. A perfect spot to visit with the family and friends!

After exploring Concubine Lane, we decided to visit FUNTASY HOUSE TRICK ART nearby. While the concept was intriguing, we found the experience to be somewhat disappointing. The entrance fee of RM15 for adults was quite expensive, especially considering that children aged 5 to 12 were also charged the same price. Additionally, the area inside FUNTASY was relatively small, and we managed to explore everything within a 20-minute visit. Overall, while the concept of 3D art and photo opportunities was fun, we felt that the high entrance fee didn't quite justify the experience."

As I entered, I was amazed by the olden days houses of the three main races in Malaysia. There are so well constructed and were decorated so colourful with flowers and murals too. Inside the houses have various vintage collections on display, some reminded me of my childhood days. Walking in further, the natural beauty of the place unfolds in front of me....wow what a lovely place! Beautiful limestone formations around but it's a pity that I can't capture the whole picture. Best to be there to view it yourself! If you want to see more of the place, you need to walk up some steps to the higher ground. Amazing place for tourist, we had a great time here, it's very rich in culture and great experience to be hiking a small hill with a lot of antiques on the side of the hill. We can walk around the lake and caves, there were some murals on the side.There's even a shared bicycle provided for anyone who wants to ride along the way. Overall really worth the experience and a beautiful place. Would recommend to come at least once.

Pretty spot to walk around for an hour or two. The entrance fee is RM12 for Malaysians and RM20 for foreigners. It's not an overly large place and don't expect any food or drink stalls. The place is very clean and a few toilet blocks around. The highlight for me were the lake areas where there are lots of big fish and turtles. For RM1 you can get a small bag of fish food to feed them. Quad bicycles are available for you to use for free once you're in the village. There's also the big Chinese wishing tree where you can literally toss your wishes onto a tree. At the end of the village area, there's an upper area you can walk up to which is quite a nice and shady walk through a narrow walkway slightly uphill.

Can't imagine how crowded this place would be on weekends. It was quite alot of people on a Friday but just nice during our visit without being too crowded. That aside, I strongly recommend u to take their bicycles around. It was really fun. They have multiple times that u can pick based on availability. The place is beautiful;))

Worth a visit! RM12 for tickets (adult). Inside there are so many ootd spot. You can ride the bicycle (free ride) as long as you want. Wear comfort attire cause you will walk a lot (also there's an uphill walk). Have fun here!!

Really nice place to chill out and have a little walk/ride (you getting 4pax bike for free to use around the lake :) ). There is a small stall with cold drinks and original local honey. Prices are reasonable (can of coke 3rm). Entrance ticket: 20rm I think it is worth it. I would stay here minimum 2h.

Came by on a random Wednesday morning around 10am. Park was still empty at the time, only myself and another group. I'd recommend coming earlier so you can get pictures without the little people figures hovering around 😂 RM12 for entry, quite a lot of sights. Bicycle is free, quite fun to go around.

It was a beautiful place with scenic view. Ticket per entry for adult is RM12 pax You can opt to feed fish here by buying the fish food at RM1 per pack. I spent more than an hour here just on exploring. Some family opted to ride a huge bicycle, which looks fun. Definitely worth a visit for any first-timers here.

WHAT A BEAUTIFUL PLACE!!! So glad to take a trip here, it was drizzling but I had so much fun cycling the free bicycles here… RM 20 for entrance fees (tourist) but the fun I had was priceless. Beautiful and scenic landscapes. They have all the rooms where the preserved the way of life in the past, really throwback to the simple times back then. As the name said, after visiting heart cleared out of bad jujus only good vibes from here!

Really enjoyed this place and definitely think it’s worth a visit, entrance fee is 12RM for locals or 20RM for foreigners. Spent about about 1.5 - 2 hours looking around, you also have the option of using bikes to bike around which are free of charge (so much fun ) and if it’s to hot for you they also have hats you can use as long as you return to when you got from. Enjoyed looking round the different areas. You can purchase bags of fish food for 1RM to feed as you walk around In he lakes, also saw a turtle.

With RM 12 entrance fees ( 20 for foreigners ) per pax, generally it is worth the visit when you come to Ipoh Full with natural scenery with nostalgic vibes & the tricycle or four-seated bicycle is free to use for a roam around the park ! Definitely a place for people who likes to take lots of pictures ! Place is well managed & taken care of, however be careful of the steps as it is quite slippery especially after rain. Parking wise, it was ample as we visited on Monday, can't guarantee how will it be on the weekends

Ok, don’t get me wrong, it’s not a bad place, the surroundings are very nice. The point is that in my opinion, considering that you can enjoy the same scenery for free while visiting all the temples in the area, a stop here is not too much worth it. I also prefer the spontaneity of the temples more, this place is too touristic. With that said it’s 20RM so if you’re not short on time it’s still a nice walk to have.

Interesting place with lots of flashbacks of what life was like 50-60 years ago! My parents enjoyed looking back and telling us about the old days! Water lake and the back drop of the mountains makes it for a very scenic place to visit! RM12 for citizens, RM20 for non citizens! Have a visit, probably spend about 1.5 hours there slow paced.

I went there recently, it was really a nice place to visit especially for those who like vintage, it's like you're visiting a museum. The ticket price was fair (RM12 for adults, free for kids 12 y/o & below), you can walk in. It's fun if you go in groups because it's a nice place to spend time together. They have unique bicycles where 4 people can ride it at once. The management was nice enough to allow us to lend the leftover umbrellas because it was raining during our visit. It's not recommended to come during the rainy season because it can be slippery when you want to go uphill.

Best museum experience ever! Plus the walk throughout the old street area was such an experience! Also, there's an uncle who sells drinks and ice-cream, get the orange ice-cream u guys, it's so yum especially after the long walks u spend in the area, definitely need some of it! That's a hiking area, which i think they close during the rainy season. But overall it's nice!!!

Gotta pay a tiny entrance fee, but I'd say worth it! This park is HUGE, so take your time and walk slowly, and enjoy the timeless artifacts here. You could spend RM5 for two tiny lucky coins that come in a red envelop, nice trinket. Make sure you bring a water bottle as the walking can make you dehydrated.

Ok place to hang out with maybe family, kids and parents. It’s simple and they have made an effort to capture the history of the town. I think tourists would be disappointed a bit. But I enjoyed the change of scenery. The fish in the ponds are huge! The caves are nice from the outside but not much to see on the inside.

The best part, you do not need to rent the bicycles and lots of spots for selfies and wefies! This is place popular and has appeared in a few local music videos! A must-visit when you are in town!

Definitely more of a "family" place where you come with kids and elderly to take photos of exhibits and just walk around looking at different exhibitions. You get to ride bicycles inside for free after paying the entrance fee (20rm for foreigners). There's a section where it's basically walking down memory lane, the image of the valley with the shops at the side is quite spectacular but that's about it.

Definitely did not disappoint us when we went to visit! It’s so beautiful and well maintained. You need to pay entrance fee for rm12 per adult and it worth the fee. They provide bicycle with umbrella and you can ride it to go around the lake. Can feed the fish in the lake - they sell fish food for only rm1 per pack. Its good when you go before 12noon as you can get pretty pictures and not many people during this hour. We went on weekday (Monday) and a lot of people came after 12noon. It's too expensive, 20 RM per person. It's just a once-in-a-lifetime experience to enter. They give you a medal with the entrance ticket. While in the park, you can take a bike at the entrance or around the park were people leaving them to roam around. It is not a big park; you will take approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour to see all of it.

A very scenic place. Felt so serene and peaceful here. Hope they keep it original and not add the fancy stuff for Instagram because the scene itself is already super amazing. I didn’t enjoy the extra stuff they added and it doesn’t fit the culture theme either.

Place is really nice and i went for the trim & shave (without hot towel etc.). I like the result but i have this not very nice feeling that i had been ripped off. There were two price lists - one before entrance and one on the cashier desk - price on both were 15RM for my service. And i asked at the beginning for the price to confirm but wasn’t answered. During payment they charged me 25 RM and when i asked why there is difference on the price list they said it is old and they still didn’t change it but there is new, higher price. Maybe thats true but still, not very clear from the beginning. I really wanted to give 5stars but that was not very good experience in the end. :(

Dropped in for a haircut without making an appointment on a sunday afternoon and I was very impressed with the skill and attention to detail that the barber had. He taught me how to style my hair based on my face shape and hair type — one of my best experiences in a barber shop, a pity I can’t keep coming back as I don’t live in Ipoh. The barber is very patient, you can ask anything and you will get your answer. 13 years of experience in hairstyling/barber. The environment gives out a really nice old age barbershop with good music, would recommend to anyone that wanted a haircut by an experienced barber.

The spark is finally returning to the time-worn neighbourhoods of Ipoh that was considered a faded city. Lots of restorations are in full swing and the local council has embark on Mural art projects to attract visitors. These amazing project introduces interest in art and provide great photo opportunities.

Lovely place and colourful vibrant murals. Surprisingly it was very well maintain and well kept too. It was clean and easy to navigate from one mural to another mural. There were different themes of the murals, mostly were very local oriented, with the emphasis of Malaysian culture and multi races society. Beautiful and interesting place to take photos. Let's hope the authority continue to refresh the murals, and upkeep the place well. Recommended for a short photography stop.

Some of the paints are already fading, but it is a very good way to walk the old city, there are many new restaurants and bar around to stop for a while.

Beautiful mural. It's a short lane and it should not take you more than 15mins, with photo taking, to walk from one end of the lane to the other. Pro tip: Bring a shade and a hat as the temperature can get quite high during the day and there's no sheltered spots for you to have a quick respite from the heat.

Interesting art pieces and murals. But lesser crowds than Penang's. Take your time to explore. It will be hot. These murals are at a quiet part of town, you will see some older shop fronts too.

Always love murals as they are very pleasing to look at and add colours to the cities. Agree with many reviews here that these murals could have been better maintained. Alot of them are faded, vandalise or dirtied by the molds growing. It's a pity but overall still an interesting area to explore in Ipoh if you have alot of time to spare.

There are some nice street art murals in this alley, mostly by Eric Lai. Some of the older work has faded but there are newer ones that are still vibrant. The actual street is next to Jalan Masjid and worth a quick walk to view and take photos.

the whole lorong is a Mural Art’s Lane. I just went on weekdays, only few white people, easy drop off by Grab. becareful for children as it’s very near to main road. Free and easy.

A clock tower surrounded by food stalls, wasn't expecting that. I didn't stay long due to the hot sun shining from above. But it's worth visiting if you're in Ipoh.

A historical memorial at Ipoh. A nice place for a snapshot. However, Ipoh City Council should look after the tower better as lots of parasite trees began to grow. That tarnished a bit the value of that historical tower and the image of Ipoh as a whole.

If you find yourself in Ipoh, walking along the Heritage Trail should be one of the highlights. The Birch Memorial Clock Tower stands out apart from other structures as it serves as a reminder of a murdered British "Resident" or in other words, an appointed colonial political governor. Located in Ipoh's older sector, it is surrounded by notable buildings such as the State Mosque, several heritage bank buildings, the Ipoh Town Hall/ Old Post Office and Ipoh Courthouse. The Padang Ipoh is also within a short walking distance. The many closed food stalls located within the open square surrounding the clock tower are probably an afterthought as it doesn't seem to be integrated well. Maybe converting some of the stalls into arts and crafts outlets would be more appropriate.

Just a clock tower next to a row of hawker centre and a huge mosque, Masjid Negeri Perak. Can still visit lah, since d mosque is spectacular fr this spot. No admission required as it's a standalone clock tower. Located on d sunny side so it's hot all day round to visit. Agree with other reviews than this memorial clock tower is redundant as it's built by his own son 😑

1-star review because I cannot understand the reason for having a special clock tower to remember the colonizers. It does not make sense to me to spend money on a memorial for the colonizers when there are so many local heroes who should be appreciated instead. Furthermore, the clock tower itself is not particularly interesting or unique, and I think the money spent on it could have been put to better use in improving other aspects of the city.
