Very convenient, so clean and modern-looking train station situated in Taichung. The high speed rail is really fast and the wagons are sleek and clean inside it seems that you're in a plane. Taichung station is your gateway when travelling to different destinations in Nantou county, Changhua, and Taichung itself. Staying inside the station while waiting for your next train is really comfortable.

Now have the Taichung MRT, everything makes convenient. Bring the homemade cake back to the Taipei and see my parents.

As good as any Shinkansen station in Japan…clean & inclusive washrooms (checkout the picture about Muslim friendly washrooms), coffee shops (including Starbucks, Subway, McDonald’s, Mister Donuts and more), multiple convenience stores (including 7-11 & Family Mart), lunch box bento shops (including Japanese food & express sushi) and more. There is also a prayer room for Muslims which I believe is due to the fact that Taiwan brings in house helpers from Indonesia…good to see this kind of support which is mostly missing in Hong Kong or Singapore who import a lot more house helpers than Taiwan). The thing that makes me sad is there is nothing local in Taiwan anymore…too much Japanese influence because of which Taiwan is losing its own identity.

Taichung train stations has a few of small shops selling Taiwan，biscuit gifts (手信）。 There is toilet and waiting area before and after the gantry. There is no barrier at the train platform, hence need to becareful if with kids.

Super clean, convenient and easy to navigate station. HSR trains are on time & comfortable- fast way to travel for tourists between Taipei, Taichung & Kaoshiong.

I lost my ticket in the station in Taichung and after 3 to 4 hours they found it and returned it to me and I only had the 80% refund and I lose about 200 dollars but it is very good company and I hope it will not collapse because of the earthquake in the future.

Taichung HSR is clean, easy to navigate and has a wide variety of food options. Clear signages are available in English. If the seating area in the station is insufficient, there is plenty of seats right outside the station as well. The toilets are sufficiently clean too.

This is a fairly large HSR station with ample facilities, sitting areas, convenience stores, cafés, restaurants, and eateries. It is accessible by the only MRT line operating in Taichung, but taxis would be your best bet. Taxis are inexpensive and it would be around TWD 300 / 400 from the downtown area of Taichung and it should not take longer than 25 minutes (of course, traffic depending on traffic).

It's fast but very terrible for travel. No space for luggage, and the train doesn't stop at the airport. As a traveler it's very frustrating, maybe good for local people...but skip if your traveling...

Clean spacious, beautiful design enough places to eat and a great gift shop. There is even a nice garden downstairs. Staff are helpful and everything is so conveniently located. We were waiting for our high speed train to Taipei.

A very nice HSR station. It is open, airy, has AC, and plenty of areas to hang out as well as restaurant options. The exits are clearly marked and easy to navigate, down to the different bus areas.

High speed railway station of Taichung City, provide rapid transport service to other main city of Taiwan, price is quite higher than traveling by bus or train but high speed railway service is more frequent and faster than train. The station is a bit away from the city center, need some time to travel there

The rainbow village is well connected to public transportation from MRT or the local train station. The rainbow village shows the hard work and dedication of the 96 years old men who want to show how beautiful life is by painting beautiful colors on the walls. The village has 7 to 8 huts painted with beautiful diverse colors on it. There are some activities for small kids and information centers about the village and the old men. There is a souvenir shop and restaurant inside it. The village is about half an hour your and the best place for colorful photos. There is bike and bicycle parking behind the rainbow village.

Thought it has been closed but they have reopened. No ticket is needed, free entry. Just a very small village to take pictures for your social media. Estimate time spend about 20mins max.

A really cute place with a heartwarming backstory. One of the must visit spot in Taichung! A bit far from the middle of the city but accessible via bus and train, although I'd suggest to have a morning/afternoon visit, before 3 pm or so. If you're lucky, you can find the man behind the village and pay some respects to an incredible man!

The place is uniquely beautiful. There are paintings from the floor to the walls. The colors are very vibrant as well. There is an area where you can write or draw on a card your wishes or greetings or little messages for other people to see or read. The caretaker of the place are nice and welcoming.

Took a while to get there by bus (Green 1) but the bus stop was conveniently located right at the entrance to the rainbow village! Very brightly colored murals on the wall with new additions from collaborations with university students. Weather was nice to take pics, not crowded when I visited on a weekday. Can consider making the journey if you do not have any plans There is also a wall for you to leave a mark, markers and paper provided to draw something to leave on the wall! :)

The place is very cute and the entrance is free. There is a parking next to the village. Great place for IG pics. We can also leave small messages or notes on the wall. The place is a bit crowded even on weekday.

I visited this rainbow village 5 years ago in 2019. There were way more paintings back then. Rainbow grandpa spent his lifetime painting the village, but some people destroyed his rainbow village. That is why the scale of the village reduces so much today. I felt so sad about this. The paintings I saw 5 years ago will forever be in my memory and may rainbow grandpa rest in peace in heaven painting his favourite village 🌈🌈🌈

Several old house that painted into rainbow doodle. Is not big as I imagine as village, but nice spot. You can buy special souvenir here (umbrella, postcard, totebag, t-shirt, notebook, snack, etc.)

Very unique and beautiful small colorful village with a lovely history! 🌈💞 You can buy souvenirs at the shops, and eat a dessert while you're visiting the hidden paths. This is a very special place in Taichung, totally recommended! 👍You can see the whole area in one or two hours😉

I will recommend for tourist who are driving in Taiwan can have a pass by and visit. Or maybe you can take Uber. I don’t feel is easy to get there by public transport. It is a very small village and made the art work in a colourful way. Basically just took some photos and left. We just spend less than 15 mins to visit the whole place (including we took photo time)

It was awesome if you do one thing in Taichung it's this wait for the artist to sing well ok, there is the main museum and the high-end restaurant next door. The father and mother of boba Tea is a must also

Small village but quite pretty. Open from 9am to 5pm. Can be quite crowded. The outside is painted by the original master while the inside is painted by the student. Can visit early before opening time to take picture of the outside and avoid the crowd.

I was truly amazed by the beauty of Rainbow Village. Learning that every colorful painting on the walls was created by Grandpa Rainbow, Mr. Huang Yung-Fu, made me appreciate his creativity even more. His designs brought so much joy to us. Leaving our own messages on small cards added a special touch to the experience. 😊❣️

It's pretty but now abandoned. Vibrantly painted village with rainbow bus stops 🚏 uber there was quite affordable and the taxi drivers sometimes wait for you as it takes less than half an hour since you cannot enter the houses.

Even though it's small, it's very cute! I went on a Monday (specifically on the Christmas holiday) despite Google Maps saying it was closed. It seems like most of the pictures you would want are taken from an area that is open no matter what, so feel free to go! There's maybe a little bit of stuff that isn't opened on Mondays, but if you just want some photos, it still is worth the visit. As people have said, it is quite small, but again, pretty and fun for some photos.

Really cool place to visit. A simple walk around for maybe 30 mins is fine on site. Has a 7 Eleven nearby also. Bus stop right outside is handy. Some buildings, walls and flooring covering in paint making it very colourful! See photos. All done by a single man over many years. He has recently passed away in Jan 2024 aged

Well have a visit i'd say if you have not much to do. It's a beautiful place but there is really nothing to do there except for the experience. You get to the parking, walk across the road and you are by the beach front, head towards the boardwalk and that's it. Do go onto the boardwalk and head all the way to the end. There were many who took off their shoes and walk on the beach but I can't see the appeal to that. Get the before sunset and you'll get to see a wonderful sight. The wind here is really strong so HOLD ON TO loose items, hats and caps are an absolute no as it will fly off. I was here late November, can't say that it's cold or anything but the wind chill will get you so bring a jacket

The scenery is incredibly breathtaking! Although please don’t forget to wear your wind jacket! During my visit, the wind was veeery strong. If you have some time until the sunset, definitely stay until the sunset. I was busy that day so unfortunately I didn’t have the opportunity to, but I heard nothing but good words from my friends who are fortunate enough to be able to see the sunset view. They have lots of parking nearby, so parking was not an issue at all!

Almost all tourists to the area will end up here to take a look at the sunset, so it does get crowded. It does not help that they have blocked off access to the wetlands around 200 metres out, which means everyone is concentrated in a rather small area. Must say that the sunset is spectacular, and you should also look at the small crabs hidden in the sand. Do note that it can get cold, with the strong winds, and also that you are not allowed now to step onto the sand. There is a fine if you do so.

The sunset here is marvelous, with the nice breeze. There are a lot of tourists! Best experience will be to arrive at 4-5pm and prepare to take off your shoes!!

Gaomei Wetlands is known as a preferred destination for young couples who like to take sunset pictures for weddings. Unfortunately we visited there on a windy cloudy day. Even so the place have its charm. If you are a sand crab lover then you are set for a real treat. As you walk on the wooden bridge which is built over the salty marsh you can watch hundreds of crabs in their natural habitat. There are also some water birds that occupy the wetland.

We went to Gaomei wetlands because my mother thought it would be interesting. It SURE was interesting !!! :). It was probably the windy-est place in Taiwan. It felt like Typhoon winds there (thus the reason why there are windmills generating electricity everywhere there). The day we went it was REALLY cold (probably about 18C but with a wind-chill making it about 14-15C). We didn't see much because it was so cold...so we took a few family pictures and went back to the car to warm-up. I think it would be an interesting place to visit maybe in spring-time...wintertime was way too cold and WINDY !

Been here twice, was amazed both times! Be sure to wear shoes like crocs or sandals when visiting because you can take off your shoes to actually walk onto the wetlands once you reach the end of the dock. Didn’t get to see sunset because it was too cloudy, but definitely try to arrive 30 minutes before sunset for an even better experience. There are many crabs by the docked area, but barely any by the area where you can walk on, so don’t be afraid of stepping on any crabs. Also, don’t wear a hat because it will get blown away, and you will go home with one less hat.

A very nice place to visit. Closed to the nature and can enjoy the sea view and the breeze. Don’t forget to bring a hat and a jacket with you!

Highly recommended spot to visit in Taiwan. The sunset view is so picturesque. During weekend, there are many local Taiwanese tourists. Cute natural beings like crabs, fishes and birds. Better check out the sunset time online and well plan your schedule, otherwise you miss the timing

Wetland in Qingshui District, Taichung, Taiwan. A nice place to come for a leisurely walk and observe the ecology here. Very windy. Can observe lots of little crabs in the muds. The wetlands here are over 300 hectares. Animals here include birds, fishes, crabs and invertebrates.

Wetland preservation area with wind turbines and a great sunset. The area is walkable and has parking near by. The peir leads all the way out into the wet land and allow people to enter the wet land at certain areas.

Great for sunsets, but other than that will be disappointed by the windmill views. Jeju has much better windmill views. Not as windy as you’d imagine. The local fish market nearby is far more interesting, if you do want to get fish floss, seaweed and other dried seafood

A place for kids to interactively learn and experience natural science and historical science. For curious student one day would not sufficient to explore entire museum. Suitable for kids to elders. Centre of attraction for kids is dinosaurs hall.

Great place to spend a morning! Though not the slickest of museums, the sheer number of exhibits was amazing. The dinosaur fossils were tastefully displayed, and a sure hit with the kids!

This museum has so many different exhibits to offer, from dinosaurs to Taiwanese history. You could spend hours in there! I enjoyed the marriage exhibit that was there went I went. Also, it is in a great location.

If you want to learn or are interested in science. This is a great place to visit especially with children. The place was huge and there are so many exhibition halls to visit. However, not all displays have a translation so be prepared with either a google translate app or a QR scanner (for some exhibits). Overall I think its worth a visit. Entrance fee is reasonable considering how many halls you get to view.

A gigantic museum that showcases marine life, animals, culture, agriculture, religion etc. You can even spend up till 1 full day here and view everything at a leisurely pace. An educational place to bring your children. Be warned!! Not a problem with this museum but there are alot of tiny black mosquitoes at the bus stop outside of this museum (bus stop faces the botanical garden which is opposite). Waiting at this bus stop, you will be a target of the mosquitoes which gives nasty bites. Be warned!

Great place to visit with kids of all ages. You can easily spend half a day or more here. One adult ticket to see all of the exhibits costs 100 NTD. Parking in the area is a lottery and not cheap. The museum has its own parking lot but the waiting time is very long on weekends. We ended up parking 1 km away from the location.

The museum is a must visit place if you have small children. There are automatic ticket machine in all the entrances so it's very convenient to purchase the tickets. The entrance fee is just NT$50 for kids and NT$100 for adult andyou can visit 3 exhibition halls. Besides, you just have to pay NT$20 for the 5-floor Science Center which is also worth to visit too. We spent 3 hours here, but did not have enough time to experience the Space Theater and to see movies. For my son, the first exhibition hall which is about dinosaurs is the most interesting one.

Awesome place to take the kids. We spent well over 3 hours there, and we could've easily spent more time there. The exhibits were fun and educational. The interactive parts were closed do to the pandemic, which is understandable. There were multiple sections to the museum, and we found all of them educational. Personally, I enjoyed the natural science and evolution exhibits. Next time, we plan to visit the botanical garden, which was closed when we went.

A fruitful and pleasant visit to the museum. Different exhibition halls show a wide range of displays from life and death to historic relics. The special exhibition hall showing the coffee history which includes a lot of machines which are rarely seen in Asia. The collection is a must see and worth much more than the 100NTD entrance fee.

Enormous, perhaps way too huge. Would need at least half a day, although my attention drifted after 1.5hrs so couldn’t really have the full experience. Very popular & crowded, but the place is huge so there’s still space around. Most of the exhibits were in Chinese though, so do take note of this.

This museum is huge, but you need to decide which gallery to go to before buying tickets. We got the main exhibition (evolution/human life, human culture, and earth geological sciences) for 100NTD per adult ticket. 80% of the exhibitions are in traditional Chinese so you have to be able to read it to appreciate the information. most of the first few exhibits seem like they were put up in the early 2000s (featuring ‘90s hairdos and striped shirts) - which makes for a bit of a vintage vibe but seems out of place when they state “latest technology” and is dated back to the year 2000. all in all it was pretty cute but definitely more suited for families with kids (which we do not have). Dinosaurs move, do not be frightened

General Exhibition Entrance is only $100. Tickets are at an affordable range. There is also a storage room where u can temporarily put your heavy belongings into the locker for free. Mac Donalds at level 2.

The entrance fee is cheap depending on the area where you want to go, other areas are free and no entrance. Children will love it especially those animals. Each building has its own kind to offer in terms of what science is all about. Clean toilet, clean area and knowledgeable place.

Very nice place! I went there midday on Tuesday and there were some school trips; however, the place is big enough to avoid all the kids haha. Very interesting concepts and exhibitions.

Four stars means that I am supposed to like what I am reviewing. I actually did not like it. There was something about it that felt 'off.' Missing information, maybe? I have been in a lot of museums and didn't enjoy this one and actually left after a short visit. There were multiple levels (stairs are a problem for me), and the displays were mostly signage rather than displays. I don't or didn't expect everything to be in English but what I saw depended too much on signage as I mentioned, so I guess an actual physical display would have been better. The colour scheme of the walls and lighting could have been better. I did theatre, lighting and set design so I have experience in colours and lighting, this Museum was 'off.' I will say, the lady at the till when I entered was lovely and friendly. Absolute sweetheart. I give this museum a 4 star rating because it is a higher end museum, but I did not like my time there

This museum is a place worth visiting in Taichung. There are many games in many rooms to help children better understand nature. Museum tickets are quite cheap, it will take half a day to visit this place. Well worth visiting.

As someone who admires natural history museums and been to some already, the National Museum of Natural Science in Taichung is so-so in size; however, I love how they organized the collections in such a way that it is easy to follow. This museum is very educational, and I would recommend to visit it when you are in Taichung, especially for kids and kids-at-heart.

This a good place to burn your time effectively as there are so many exhibitions hall to visit! If you are bored of Taichung, this will be a good place, for dating too. Many to see and many photos to take. Ticket price are at NTD100, elderly and disabled are free!

Came on the weekend to check out the building. And it was as pretty as all the instagram photos. There was no show going on but they did have a artisanal market that was happening during the time. We visited and got some handcrafted goods. There was a stall that was offering "baked cheese shreds?", we were offered some sample and it was ok... But the staff was super nice so I thought I mention it. Overall, I think its a nice place to take gram photos and have a chill afternoon at one of the cafes in the building.

Why the light is off? Such architectural is designed to be lighted. Even it is a routine off day, you still can get the outside light on! What a pity. Anyway, here’s what the building looks like when the light is off. I will come back for the light I am expecting next time.

Beautiful architecture! The top garden has great views too! I didn't see a play or anything but just the architecture is worth a stop if you're in Taichung. The shops and Cafe were nice also.

National Taichung Theater It is a theater designed by a famous Japanese architect, Ito Toyo, based on the concept of "sound cave", thus making the walls of the building have a unique curve. and can be located without the use of support poles and perpendicular walls The building consists of Grand Theatre, Play House, Black Box and Corner Salon which can host performances and international conferences. Outside the building, there is also an outdoor garden (Outdoor Plaza) and a beautiful sky garden (Rooftop Sky Garden) open to welcome visitors to sit and relax. Therefore, it is a building that is worth visiting to see its beauty.

There are many floors to walk through and explore if you are not coming for an opera. The ceilings are tall and very spacious. There are many pop ups that sell art, accessories, and books. There is a cafe upstairs. On the roof top is an open area with a little garden.

If you are into architecture, this building is not to be missed! Designed by Toyo Ito, this performance art venue is itself a place of interest. Check out the cafe at the back of the building, the event spaces and gift shop! Even the rooftop is a star attraction! Going with the flow is an understatement when exploring this building! It is located near shopping malls as well, so plan at least half a day there!

Stunning architecture and interior design with beautiful sky garden and landscapes. However, the theater show details should be displayed clearer or bigger with English translation.

This Theater is ten years in the making and a Japanese architect has won a design contest for it which organized by Taichung city. I loved the architecture of this theatre. It's a very stunning example of modern architecture in Taiwan and it makes fun to walk around an discover all the details. The expanse of water on the front is also nice for taking photos with reflections of the building

Beautiful architecture externally and a nice pit stop for tourists even if not catching a show. Nice AC for summer weather with a pretty water feature and some indie trinket stores. On the 5th floor is a book exhibition and cafe, when we were there there was a big book feature on a Frenchie’s story which was very cute. The top floor is a sky garden which provides quite pretty views of the surrounding skyline especially in the evening sunset

The National Taichung Theater was designed by Japanese architect Ito Toyo. Based on the "sound cave" concept, elements such as curved-wall units and air holes are used to build this changed space. The result is a newfound building that stands on its own firmly without supporting pillars or 90-degree walls at all. The theater is equipped with three professional performing venues which meet international standards: Grand Theatre, Playhouse and Black Box. They can each be adapted to fit the needs of various types of productions. There is also a multi-functional space, "Corner Salon," where educational events and public speeches may be held. The green Outdoor Plaza and the rooftop Sky Garden are great for the public to spend some leisurely hours in. The architecture of the National Taichung Theater is a work of art. The theater's performing venues and garden are unique, too. It is worth paying a visit here for an artistic feast, from the inside out!

If you're into arts, you will love this place. Besides the stunning architecture, there are many small arts/crafts stores inside. I could have spend the entire day here. My favourite would have to be the outdoor area on the rooftop. It's hard to describe or show how serene it felt. Clean, simple curves that mimic nature. And best of all, it's all free. My favourite place in Taichung 💙

Always something interesting to be seen here. Between major shows today so not a lot to see this visit. One of the frustrating things here is the lack of perspective many Taiwanese art museums have. They fail to place Taiwanese art in the world art scene. They are overly inward looking. Even the museum book shop is boring in that it carries too many art teaching books and nothing from the greater world of art books. Maybe this is a hangover from 50years of marshall law.

This is a wonderful place to visit! The building has a subtle presence architecturally! Exhibitions are in very pleasant display. Nice surroundings, with beautiful garden around it to take a walk! Overall, it makes one feel peaceful and pleasant. Wish u a nice visit!

The staff are incredibly friendly, and I was pleased to find no admission fee on weekdays during my visit. With its vast collection, there's plenty to see and appreciate here. I particularly enjoyed the impressive library and dining area on the upper floor, and the circular staircase is definitely worth a look. Overall, this museum is a must-visit destination.

It's free! This museum has extensive park grounds with stream of fish. There is a YouBike2.0 station alongside the front. Though the different exhibition signage could be confusing, great art can be viewed in the interior galleries of which some have remarkably high walls and ceilings. Also featured was an informative exhibition of art restoration and conservation of the museum's collection showing interesting examples and work stages. Wine nor beer were not served in the sit-down cafe.

Quite disappointing experience overall. Most part of the museum was going under renovation, so we didn’t get to see much. And since it was going under renovation we could hear the sound of construction constantly. Also including janitor who was pulling her cart through the museum exhibit area creating massive cart sound which echoed through. Don’t understand how that is allowed here. There were far too many staffs here, and they were just chatting with their colleagues. In conclusion, we saw zero management so I have to leave one star for this place.

The kids’ session is very fun for children. The only dissatisfaction is the cafe inside the museum. Limited choices and very limited time of provision.

This is a beautiful museum that changes displays periodically throughout the year. In March 2024, the major displays are Geopoetics and Year of the Dragon. The year of the Dragon is amazing where various artists show their talents. The Geopoetics is something that is beyond my artistic capacity. Overall, this is a great place to explore one's artistic capacity.

One of my favorite art museum in Taiwan. It’s not too crowded and quite. They have free locker from small to big, you can keep your luggage there. But the souvenir shop is not professional. They sell many things are not about arts.

When I went, there was literally only ONE exhibition open, the celebration of the year of the rabbit (quite a good one too, especially loved the exhibition with the contributions from the students) but the exhibition was on its last day? Meaning that tomorrow, the museum would have ZERO exhibitions open? Dafuq? How is this acceptable for any museum barring the building burning down or getting destroyed somehow? Pictures included are the pieces done by students and my favourite two illustrations submitted for the competition.

I traveled to Taichung to see more art and enjoy it without the rush, the pressure, the crowd — and this is one of those that delivered exactly the experience I had in mind, and even went beyond. The staff was super helpful, trying to speak English to guide me. One shifu helped me take my photos. The ticket, when I asked where to get, they said it’s free admission — wow! And they had an exhibition of Art in Our Time, which was mixed medium and you can see how it’s more speaking towards the youth now. I loved how it bravely tackled such issues like marriage brokers for Taiwanese men towards vietnamese women too. Art should be liberated, art should be free, art should have a right to speak and be. Today that’s what this museum experience reminded me of — a huge thank you for maintaining such a beautiful space to inspire and to create. The museum is free to enter. Currently there is an ox exhibit and unique art exhibits. The air conditioning is lovely so it’s a great break from the outside. Coin lockers are refundable 10twd.

This is a wonderful exhibition, and free to enter. It has a lovely coffee shop but high end. 10 mins from Starbucks. The neighbouring buildings/apartments seem to fit in with the contemporary feel. Strongly recommend.

Second visit - this vist the exhibits were less interesting to me than the last time. Even still, we had a good time looking through the galleries. Still would want to visit if we come back given the various exhibits that gets hosted here.

Nice.interesting exhibitions especially restoration of paintings was very interesting as well as caligraphy. Just have more taiwanese items in the museum shop. I wanted to buy more from your art work...not postcards of VanGogh, Scream, Monet or other European artists. I fell in love with Lotus pond painting. Would buy anything with it...Tshirt, bag, scarve, poster, replica, makeup bag...I have only postcard and bookmark. May be silly, but it would support the sales.

When I came entrance is for Free 🥺🥺🥺 The infrastructure is so vast, and well made. Everywhere is an art iteslef. Even the grounds of the museum. The place is just so peaceful and lovely 🥰

I have been to several universities in Taiwan but the architecture and history of this university are unique. University is full of greenish surroundings with animal husbandry for research and food purposes which include deer, cows, peacocks, and ducks. The University has a convenience store where you can fresh milk from the University firm and it also has Macdonald's, family mart, star bucks, and many more. The University has a beautifully crafted church and the university is perfect for weekend walks and exploring nature. The University is well connected to public transportation. The University has a night market near campus.

The University compound is so huge. It is open for public to visit as there is a famous attractions building inside the compound, the Luce Memorial Chapel. However, the Chapel only open on certain time if you wish to enter the building. Besides, there is a dessert store that selling milk related products named 乳品小站, the products included ice cream and drinking milk, the milk only available in big bottle but the paper cup is provided and oven is prepared for warm up it. One thing that I like so much about this place is the lush grass, feel so relaxing when laying on it.

THU maybe the most beautiful university in Taiwan .As an exchange student , I have spend 2 months here .What impressed me a lot is the buildings in THU ,most of them have Japanese style that I am really into them .Furthermore ,the students who study in THU are friendly and courteous .Btw ,u can see a number of tourists come the campus everyday ,So it is the factor why I said THU is attractive . All in all ,I love THU .

Lovely little spot tucked away in Beitun. Beautiful Buddhist Temple with Koi pond and gardens. Great place to relax, read, meditate, or take photos. I sat and watched a gardener trim hedges for half an hour. Zen like.

We stroll to the lavender and flower gardens, savor lavender theme treats such as ice cream and body products, as well as dine-in at their restaurant. This is the first lavender forest but I have never been here until now (despite I had visited the other two locations several times). As always, it’s very natural, zen atmosphere, very relax environment with all nice lavenders plus other flowers. Same as other two forests I visited previously, the forest releases the zen atmosphere with very relaxing environments to allow ur spirit come out to breathe the fresh air & communicate with all surroundings. Moreover, this forest details how the two girls seeking, exploring & working their life dreams which is quite touchy. One of them went to heaven to be a lovely angle while the other girl continue their dream to spread all the positive energy with lovely lavender scene & flavor to the whole world. Almost forgot to highly recommend the yummy apple chicken I had. The whole chicken was covered by the apple flavor coating to be baked. It turned out the apple coating was so crunchy, flavorful & yummy. The original great farm raised chicken flavor was kept perfectly to boost the overall dish flavor to another level. I surely will return with more friends in the near future to explore more flower adventures.

Unfortunately, the season for lavender was over though they did have some in a tiny garden near the shop. Entry was $200 eachs, which was a little steep for off season but you can redeem the entry token for $100 off any purchase.

This is quite a wondrous place to visit. It is the only ecological park in Taiwan formed by digging deep into the ground. It's also an ideal place for many who have inclinations for a nice Taichung city view. No matter which season it is, walking in the Maple Garden is a visual enjoyment! You should definitely pay a visit to the infamous Daily greens, Kyoto. A tea house made from an old sake barrel! And yes the sky there is visually deep blue.

Loved the flowers here! So pretty and organized! Pick weekdays to go so it’s less crowded, they do close at 4:30pm so try to get there early! Flower season might already be over this year, was scheduled for 11/11/23-12/3/23 so pretty short. I was there a couple of weeks ago. Worth checking out if you’re looking for a place to go in the area, a bit harder to get to without a car.

Truly sea of flowers….many varieties spread over a huge area. It’s a well designed blooming farm or garden made of the tourist attraction. Beautiful land scapes amidst mountains. Free bus are arranged from three locations in city. Food stalls are plentiful. Many agricultural produce are available too…all basic requirements are arranged. This festival occurs every year but I heard this time it’s bigger.

As I expected, during my visit this weekend, there are a lot of visitors coming from different places here Taiwan and you need more patience before you can reach this place because of heavy traffic but my overall experience visiting this place still memorable.

Had live music by the pond when we were there which was very relaxing. Some lovely places to take pictures. Will definitely visit again with a picnic.

The admission fee is $350 per person but you get a credit of $100 per person to use on drinks or food. The castle is beautiful and there are many koi in the pond. A great place to visit if you like beautiful scenery and taking ig worth pictures.

Had an awesome time here with my girl. There were squirrels everywhere and they get close to you which was super cute! A lot of fish in the pond, and the turtles looked so chilled either swimming in water or bathing in the sun on shore.

A lovely space to walk, lots of area to roam around and rest. It looks nice at night too. Monuments, lakes, birds nesting on trees and bridges all add character to this park. I enjoyed my walk through here from Central to North District of Taichung. I can easily visit this often if only I have enough time. I would definitely love to come back and spend my mornings here!

Shocked by how rundown this park was, until i walked the surrounding areas and witnessed guest worker activities. Looks like the city simply gave up on most maintenance and improvements here. Must difficult be to keep trash and filth free in this park. Don’t make a trip for this, you will see that there are a lot of other nice parks in Taichung where budgets and efforts are directed to.

Relaxing place to unwind, i love the walkways and the trees and greenery. There is a lake as well and places where people can converge and do pocket activities.

A number of monuments & and artworks are scattered around the park. Locals said that after dark, it's a refuge for homeless, didn't visit after dark. During the day it's a nice and relaxing place to visit.

Great big park in the center of the city

The park is very nice and calm. There is also a pond to boat which costs NT$ 300 an hour. It's worth boating in calm pond.

Great place with many fun rides to enjoy! Go with your friends and family to enjoy the time together! We went to explore Mala Bay water park this time, there are other parks too like land park, race track, escape rooms etc., But, it's better to explore one park in one day, that way you can enjoy all the rides! 😊

A decent local theme park for families. As this theme park was opened since 2012, it's expected to see the place looks rundown and some abandoned rides. Still, there's some thrilling rides for adults and family-friendly rides for kids are available. And of course, the main attraction seems to be the Line Friends Town.

Great place to enjoy and try the rides they offer. Also good customer service. When i lost my phone they answer my inquiry and they sent it to me right away. A 5 star for that.

We went on a Monday. No queues for the rides. We enjoyed every ride without any long queues. The place is also equipped with free Wifi. I recommend trying the Gravity Max ride as it is the most extreme in the whole park.

I went here on a weekday. Although it was a weekday and it was December 29th, there were a lot of children on a picnic at the beginning, but the wait for the rides didn't take more than 30 minutes. However, what is lacking is that the employees sometimes work too slowly and sometimes take off equipment around 4 o'clock without giving proper explanations. The rides were so fun and included a viking ride, a mini roller coaster, a big spinning roller coaster, etc. It seems like there will be a lot of people on the weekends, so I recommend coming on a weekday. If you want to ride all the rides even when there are no people around, you will have to stand in line again. There is a place where shows are held near the entrance. The hours are from 9:30 to 5:00, so you can go on all the rides. At the end, you can draw a certain piece of paper and receive a product. (100 won for 2) There is nearly no people around 3 to 5 o'clock. So you can scan what you want to play in the morning where there might be a lot of people and then play or ride the rides from noon to the end. I hope this helps.

Quite a good experience. Not many visitors so I didn’t really need to queue for any rides, except the most famous roller coaster, which was operated every 10 ( or 15 ?) minutes, no matter it was full or not. But it’s definitely worth the wait and I have taken it three times. For those roller coaster lovers, you simply can’t miss this one if you are in Taiwan.

5 star -Because reasonable price (70% off for weekday). -and the no. of facilities are enough to enjoy to my children(Elementary school and taller than 130cm). -Family changing room very convenient.

It's not terrible since it's cheap. But the rides are meh and many are closed.

I went there for my birthday, it was fun and the park is actually pretty big, the only sad part was that the water attraction was closed. The park's food was good (nothing spectacular). The bathroom were clean. Just most of the stuff never smile or look happy(compare to other countries) so it is kinda of a mood killer. But overall I had an amazing experience.

Very nice park if you can come on a weekday, which was the case for us. As a result, no waiting or no more than a minute for attractions (and restaurants), easy to find a table for a break or a snack, and sometimes the feeling of being alone in the park. The park is not very big, but it's clean, safe, nice and with a variety of attractions for children of all ages. We also liked that the restaurants had close to regular food prices instead of the steeply marked up prices that you often see at other parks. Downside of weekday visit, not everything was open, in particular some food vendors, but this is very little compared to the happiness of kids, going from attraction to the next without waiting. It is also advisable to buy tickets in advance with an Internet sale, as it is significantly cheaper.

I don’t know why they still charge full price for this park even when 40/50% of the attractions are closed and the ones that are running are have capacity to save cost. Also the park is in a terrible state of disrepair. I did have an oke time but that was due to my friends. I will not be coming back to the park today ever.

A fun place to visit with family. It is not as crowded as other theme parks so we didn't have to wait long to get on the ride. Personal favourite was the roller coaster with a 90-degree drop. However, due to the high speed of the roller coaster, there is a 15 minute wait time after every round. It also stops operating earlier than other rides so make sure to try it out earlier in the day.

Closest theme park to taichung city. Around 700nt taxi ride from taichung. Windy in dec with colder temperature then taichung city...wear slightly thicker clothing. There are also sales outlets of famous brands. There maybe problem of flagging a taxi if going back after 6pm...can request a taxi booking at the counter but will b long....jus go outside taxi stand see if any taxi available. Even in dec on weekends there is not a lot of people . Is not a very big theme park could finish in less then half a day.

For a 1 day tour you can't go to a place or ride everything here because the weekend is a lot of people and the line is longer so time consuming. About the place and the rides it's safe and apparently it is a good amazing ride if you experience the extreme rides here.

Good place for kids, can play whole day; suitable for 3 yrs and above.

So horrible. We came in the beginning of a long weekend in Taiwan. Park wasn’t super crowded, but it definitely wasn’t dead. The weather was burning, and the closed all the water rides. The also closed half the restaurants at the park. And one of the only restaurants that was opened (next to the big dinosaur) told us they were not taking orders for ONE HOUR because they had too many orders (mind you, there were only 10 tables max that were occupied in the restaurant). Then, we went to the only restaurant that was opened next to the entrance. The menu had half Taiwanese food and half Italian pasta. When we got to order, they told us half the menu was not available. This place is just so poorly run. Even though the price of the entrance ticket wasn’t Disney level expensive, I would rather pay the money to get any kind of service. This is our 2nd time here, and will definitely not be coming back.

Didn't have time to do the whole farm, and probably just missed all the cherry blossoms (early April) but still worth the short stroll. Like other reviewers warn, the road is very windy and narrow. Be sure to take motion sickness tablets!

Wasn't as great as I expected in the first week of March, but you can still find a few bright cherry blossom trees scattered around. Timing is the key.

The camp site has a raised platform for setting up tent, flat and good for water prevention. But it is too small, only 3 meters x 2.8 meters, not big enough for our large tent. The sakura flower season would be nice, but there are just way too many people, and hard to get a spot.

It's far away. But, it's worth for you to come here for Sakura one time at least. The view is breathtaking. Please take your time to enjoy everything. The best spot is the Tea Village area. We love it.

The farm is very beautiful. It is located in high mountain, and has a feeling of cut off from the outside world. The scenes are very picturesque. It is enjoyable just walking around, appreciating the different kinds of flora and the scenes. This is so far one of my favourite places in Taiwan for a short vacation.

The best time go visit Wuling Farm is in the cherry blossom season in spring, when the whole park will be cover is the beautiful pink of the cherry flowers. Wuling farm also has a camping side for people who love camping and enjoy themselves with nature longer. If you want to drive into Wuling farm, you will need to register your car plate number and also confirm with the hotel accommodation before arrive. If you come buy bus, you can by the NTD730 round trip Taipei to Wuling Farm ticket at Taipei City Hall Bus Station, which includes entrance fee and round trip bus fare from Taipei.

It was good but not that great. Plus considering the time consumed on the road (very curvy ones) Will definitely not going back.

Affordable accommodation and beautiful countryside. We didn’t go in Cherry blossom season and so avoided the crowds. The accommodation was simple and clean, breakfast and dinner was included (a simple Chinese buffet for each). The rooms were in a cabin with folding mattresses, clean sheets and duvets. Note that you’re at over 2000 m so bring slightly warmer clothes. There us no AC but a heater was provided. We paid 6k for a four person room breakfast and dinner. You’ll need a car/scooter as the distances between buildings and to the places is quite far. This is a great place for hiking and enjoying country views.

The ride here from Taipei was long and serpentine (thus motion sickness meds are recommended) but well worth it. We were fortunate to have come this autumn season to see the bright red and orange maples at the visitors center area and the golden ginkos near the entrance and peach orchard. The cedar smell of the Japanese pinewood lane was strong and absolutely amazing.

One of the best experience looking all the sakura🌸 coming from a tropical country ..its so amazing that you can see uplcose and even touch it😊.The travel is 4 hours from taipei and if you are a person to easily get dizzy when in a bus then take med before you go. You may sleep and rest while in the bus. Best month to visit is in March. We visited Feb24 and not so full bloom. Please plan your trip here . Theres a lotof tour ofder for a day tour you may visit klook or kkday.

February 16th, 2024. It was nice, but not as pretty as I expected. The farm has many varieties of flowers, so don't expect them to fully bloom or stay fresh at the same time. The journey from Taipei to Wuling Farm is so long—4-5 hours, depending on the traffic. People with motion sickness problems should be prepared, as the road is serpentine.

11/20/2022 finally, am so thrilled getting to visit this farm. I've been to Taiwan several times but never get to come here because it is really far. It took me 4 hours from Taipei city & having arrived here, it was very worthwhile. I know peeps have been coming for its cherry blossom season but I always love to take the road less traveled by, choosing to visit during autumn. Excited to see some maple leaves and the weather was so good to stroll around.

Amazing and great place to relaxed. You can camping and bbq here. Make sure you wearing good shoes because you will have some longmarch.
