Fantastic place to spend some beautiful times with family and see varieties of animals. They divided the zoo in different areas: Canadian, African, Asian, Prehistoric (which is really nice) based on the animal categories. Specially, the penguin place is really awesome. African rain forest is also great. Those who are interested in dinosaurs, the Prehistoric area is a must visit. Ample of parking on the north and west side of the zoo. The north parking lot is divided into three lots: A, B, and C. I think lot B is closest to the entrance. However, the north lot has a fixed daily rate of CAD 12 (which is good for people who plan to spend whole day, might not worth for people who spend only few hours). The west lot charges hourly rate, which might be good for people for short visit.

This was a really enjoyable experience. Great habitats for all the different animals, and a great variety. The gardens and butterfly house were exceptional too. We would have paid to see them on their own. So much shade, plenty of places to eat or picnic, many playgrounds and kid friendly exhibits. We caught the train from downtown. Very easy and quick.

Best zoo in Canada 🇨🇦!!! Superbly variety of special animals in this zoo, it’s really worth to visit at least once. 👌 Entry ticket 🎟️ charges is $35 per person. Parking 🅿️ 🚙 charge is $13 for whole day. Penguins 🐧 section is the best one ☝️ Usually 4-5 hrs can be spent here but full day is preferable. My kid really like it. It’s increasing the feather in the crown of Calgary in terms of tourism sector. 👍

I grew up going to the zoo with my grandparents and family. Over 15 years since I've been and the charm hasn't changed at all. All the expansions and additional exhibits are amazing, interactive and informative. Having staff at each exhibit helps keep the flow of strollers moving ;) (I was a part of that parade) But the staff are also keen to answer questions and engage with visitors. Lots of additional activities to do as well. Ferris wheel, parks and of course the beautiful green spaces and gardens. Will be back soon!

We really enjoyed the walk through. I feel the animals are a little laid back at this time of year. Though it was reasonably quiet still on a busy day. The parks are a fun time for the kids. When you decide to take a leisurely stroll it works well. Grateful we had the opportunity to take the kids this year. :)

Every year I make sure I get to come to this great zoo. It's well-maintained, very clean and organized. This is great for adults especially for kids. You will learn a lot. Having fun while learning. So many varieties of animals that are being showcased here. I always have fun whenever I come here.

A really amazing place to bring kids and enjoy the outing. The zoo is kept clean and well maintained. Volunteers help guide to near exhibits and explore zoos in the best possible way. Don't hesitate to ask them. Cafe options are limited but they do serve good food. Overall we enjoyed it a lot and will definitely revisit

This zoo is wonderful. It is very large. We walked so much. The animals have lots of space and there are many zoo keepers and volunteers around to make sure the animals are taken care of. There are also additional things to manage foot traffic and crowds.

Beautiful place, it will be great to have more spaces for animals. Like open areas for Africa. The penguins were great! The dinosaurs are great! They are renovating the Canadian part. Now… all the workers have megaphones and sometimes they are using them too much. Things that they can tell you personally they use de megaphone. I put 4 stars because of this. Thanks!

Super fun for both kids and adults. The animals are well taken care of. My favourite part was the butterfly enclosure! There were so many gorgeous butterflies all throughout the conservatory garden ranging from different stages of life. I'd highly recommend visiting on a weekday early in the morning if you're not a fan of crowds, as this place gets extremely packed super fast.

It was a wonderful zoo. We really loved the penguins... We had a great time. Animals were active. So much to see and do. The dinosaur exhibit is fantastic. The kids LOVE it. Reasonably priced. Lots of parking. Clean restrooms. Highly recommend the Calgary Zoo. Great way to spend the day... Enjoying nature. No matter how many times I see the animals, I marvel at their beauty, ability, and strength...

My wife and I have had longtime membership to this excellent venue. We see zoo's in every city and country that we visit. Calgary is amongst the very best. Our last visit inspired a month trip to Madagascar 🇲🇬 where we saw many Lemur species and chameleon that are unique to this amazing country. I've selected a few of our Madagascar pictures. Come to the zoo to see their Lemurs and animals from around the world. It is a great place for parents and kids of all ages. I love what I call - the daily stroller brigade.

Animals look good, zoo looks clean. Sad that Dino world was closed. We sow a lot of animals, they seem happy. Recommend to visit greenhouse with butterflies. Very beautiful! Also, buy tickets in advance, because it’s definitely cheaper and faster. Ticket costs 37$, but only it’s possible to buy for 30$ (for weekdays)

Unfortunately many exhibits and buildings are closed due to Avian flu precautions. This was a true lazy Sunday. Not many animals moving around. Through no fault of the zoo itself, this was a lackluster experience. Any area with birds were closed. Gorilla and Otter pavilions closed. It's been years since I had been to this zoo and if seemed that many animals were gone and it was not as great as I remembered. This zoo used to rival Toronto zoo for the overall experience. It has Fallen backwards in recent years.

Best place to spend a day inside the city. I liked watching penguins , Alpaca lions and many more animals the most. It was like you are in a entirely different world. Watching bear accumulating leaves for making himself warm was an encouraging experience. Lions were all sleeping but nice. Some Sparrows 😍actually it was my awesome trip with my family ❤️parking lot also wider.

Those who are visiting for the very first time please be aware that this is going to hurt your legs a lot..😃 The area is large and you have to walk around especially if you have kids with you please take stroller with you (You gonna need it) If you have old age company plz take accessibility cart so they can enjoy too!! Now once you are in the zoo you will enjoy every minute here. Zoo keepers are there to help you with the path to follow but still having a map with you is a must. Enjoy nature and the animals. Keep an umbrella to protect against the sun ☀️.. Overall my experience was amazing. I was not even able to complete the first section of Africa Safari. I will visit again.

What a amazing way to spend a day!! 😍 This place is a must visit for any and everyone. The zoo was beautiful with lots of animals. The Dorothy garden was especially very beautiful. Make sure you have an entire day to spend here as the zoo is pretty big with lots of walking. We went there at 9am in the morning on Heritage day and it was just beginning to get crowded, so we were able to view a lot the animals relatively without much crowds. But by the time it was mid day there were a lot more people there, so make sure you plan accordingly. Overall this was an amazing experience and I am waiting to go back here once again.

One of the best places to visit in the city, and easily one of the premier zoos in North America ( I would know, I have visited more than 50 of them.) Lots of parking, great membership value, excellent food/dining options, huge repeatability factor with a different and new experience each time. There are parts that are certainly under utilized and feeling aged/run down (namely as of Nov 2023 the Asia section), and the dinosaur area seems like a weird space filler that could be better served with real animals, but other regions are stellar. The 2 big Africa Houses are simply fantastic, as is the penguin house, and the brilliant Wild Canada section. At the time of writing this review, there will even be polar bears in just two weeks. In short, this zoo is great all year around, for all ages, and I’d highly recommend visiting

So it's a good zoo. It's got many animals that all look well cared for. They look like they really try their best with them and that to me is paramount when visiting a zoo or Aquarium. I downgraded the rating because it's really expensive in my opinion. Although much of the exhibit isn't running or viewable at this time of year. It makes sense why it's not operating as it's winter and cold. It happened to be warm when we went. We spent 4 hours there and still didn't get through everything though. It is a large zoo. You can save a couple dollars if you buy online and in advance.

I love what they have done to the zoo, expanding the outdoor wild animal area with a beautiful large area for the polar bears, and a beautiful large indoor and out for the different penguins. There is a separate light show after 5 pm this time of year for Christmas that looked like it would have been beautiful to see if I had more time. I definitely would purchase a year pass if I lived here. All construction is completed and the garden areas are now just two instead of the 4 or 5 areas they used to have.

I had the pleasure of visiting this zoo after attending a conference held there, and it was truly an enriching experience. It's an ideal weekend destination in Calgary and a must-see for visitors. The tropical garden, flamingos, and Mr. Hippo were personal highlights for me. Depending on the season, they offer various events, and you can even book a restaurant for added convenience.

My experience at the Calgary Zoo was nothing short of fantastic. This is one of the best zoos I have been to. All of the animals looked very healthy and had outstanding enclosures. Most of the animals were in their regular enclosures, even in March. The land of lemurs was unfortunately closed due to the cold weather. The indoor portions of the zoo were very cool (or should I say hot) and immersed us in the natural environment of the animals. Overall, it was an amazing experience, and I will definitely be visiting again.

My partner and I visited to see the Polar Bears and also enjoy the Christmas lights. It was as calm as usual though more exciting this time around with new animals. I loved the Mountain Goat (they sure looked stubborn as hell)😊 Unfortunately there wasn't anything much to see in the Asian axis and I wonder what the space is actually for. Overall, it's great for anyone seeking to refresh by walking and learning a bit more about the wonderful creatures we have around us.

My love for animals takes me to popular zoo visits very often 🤩 Honestly, not a huge supporter of caging the wildlife but they are good source of inspiration, information and entertainment for all ages. Canada’s second largest animal zoo was quite enjoyable! Despite the cold late December visit, zoo attracted 8k visitors which is a popular summer number! My favorites were penguins, chimpanzees, polar bear, tiger and Hippo 😍 the zoo has more than 200 species and they are very well kept. Didn’t realize how I spent the whole day visiting variety of animals, aviaries and butterfly sanctuary. Grabbed a quick snack at the zoo cafeteria (their revenue supports the zoo animals 🙏) and strolled through whole zoo in Christmas lights and decorations for another couple hours! Mesmerized by lightning and music, didn’t feel an inch of cold! Could also plan for a bubble/glass gazebo dinner in advance for a romantic dinner ✨ A Must to do list in Calgary and earn your share of memories ☺️👍

We got a lot of snow today in Calgary and the zoo was a good choice for entertainment. We read it is the second largest zoo in Canada. We went to see the polar bears and we were not disappointed. What majestic creatures. A nicely laid out zoo with clear signage in the zoo itself. We got a membership each and have been back twice, and still haven't seen the whole zoo. The membership is a great value and the zoo itself is excellent.

Had a great time at the Calgary Zoo with my girlfriend! The variety of exhibits ensures there's something for everyone, and we thoroughly enjoyed exploring the diverse wildlife. My girlfriend loved the hippos, and personally, I was charmed by the adorable red pandas. We easily spent two and a half hours immersed in the fascinating displays. Looking forward to our next visit; the Calgary Zoo is definitely worth returning to for a fun and educational experience! I definitely recommend buying tickets online in advance as you can save some money on the price of admission.

Must see place when you are in Calgary. Easy to find it in the center, no need to buy tickets in advance - you can make it here (payment with cash or card). Going up by the elevator and then - amazing picturesque view to the entire city! We went there in the evening close to sunset, so we were able to make amazing photos with the sunset from different sides. Glass floor may seem to be kinda tension from the beginning but after all - isn’t it exciting to see the city under your feet? 😃 There is short movie about the construction of the tower and Alberta in general. Take time to watch it - useful information. There is restaurant here but it needs reservation (often crowded). I believe restaurant visitors can go to the tower for free - there is separate entrance for them. There is souvenir shop at the ground floor. Somehow high prices but worth looking. Take a look at the walls as well - there is information about different towers in the world.

We enjoyed our lunch at Sky 360, which is a rotating restaurant. While we enjoyed great food, we were amused by the view of the surroundings at the height of about 200 meters. As the view is panoramic, we did not go to the observation deck and avoid paying $21 admission fees. If you really want to go, you will save 55% of admission charges if you spent $20 or more in Sky 360.

I didn't go to the restaurant; however, I went to the top to visit the Observation Deck. It's such an amazing view the one you get from there. Lots of people you will see there as well. I didn't took me long to get to the top of the tower. Maybe because I didn't go on busy days. Staff is very attentive and kind like most Canadians ;)

What an amazing view !!! This place is a must visit and good for staying an hour or two. It has paid parking space nearby and entry tickets are available at counter in gift shop and online as well. At the observation deck you will also find a theater room, restroom and drinking water.

Very beautiful place, enjoyable & so lovely. Reservations are not recommended.. just visit and buy own tickets. Because after purchasing online you might not be receiving confirmation message due to server detect lead some hassle on checking nonetheless. So better just go and buy your tickets accordingly. You can take some drinks/ snacks with you in case the skydeck restaurant is closed. A particularly sophisticated trip to this birds eye view!

I have been to many observation towers around the world (Japan, Toronto, Malaysia, South Korea, etc.) I gave the Calgary Tower a try. A ticket costs $22. I think about 45 minutes is all you need on the observation deck. They have a water fountain on the observation deck too. The area has a brief video and some facts shown around the room. It is also the place where you can catch a bus to and from the airport which makes a day trip super convenient. The Calgary Tower reminds me of the same quality as KL Tower in Malaysia. They could do more with it.

This is a must see spot in Calgary. It has fantastic views of the city. There are signs that post to important landmarks in the city that can guide your experience in Calgary. There is a short film that you can watch that gives the history of the tower. The tickets are $21 and it is absolutely worth it for the view alone.

The Calgary Tower is one of the most iconic and historic buildings of downtown Calgary. It has a revolving restaurant and an an observation deck on top. We did not try the restaurant as reservation is required. The views are expansive and amazing! Walking over the glass floor was also thrilling! All the staff members were also friendly and always ready to help you out with taking your photos. I gave it four stars because the tickets were a bit pricey.

On my first visit to Calgary, I visited this tower and I loved the view. With a self guided tour, I learnt a lot about the city. I will recommend going during Spring or Fall as there were no lines and it was not crowded. I visited on a weekday in October and I had fun. Please get your tickets online to save time. The lights come on at night so while you take a stroll downtown, the backdrop of the tower is beautiful.

The tower is definitely a worth while experience. I have gone up three times and it was fun, though there is not a lot to it. If you don't mind heights, you can stand on the glass floor or walk around the building and enjoy the incredible 360° views.

I love visiting observation decks of towers/skyscrapers, so Calgary Tower was on my must-visit list during my recent half-day stopover in the city. Although it is dwarfed by recent skyscrapers, it is still an iconic structure! I have to give a big kudos to the staff member working at the elevator foyer on the ground floor, welcoming and saying goodbye to visitors (Feb 25, afternoon) - she was so enthusiastic for what seemed like a repetitive job! The observation deck itself was clean, well-maintained, and seemed to be recently renovated. I visited on a clear day and the view was quite nice. There is a glass floor, clear panels describing the landmarks that you could see out of the windows, interesting information around the inner walls, and a short film about the tower's construction/history. There is a water fountain and seating to just take in the view. However, the stairs to the second floor are blocked. Hope they can find another use for that space. I thought it was interesting that the tower was built for the purpose of commemorating Canada's centennial year of 1967 (although it was completed in 1968), quite a few years before CN Tower was built. I wonder if the tower would have been designed to be much taller had it been the reverse order. We'll never know!

My son and i had a great time here. The glass floor is one of the best parts of the whole thing. I would definitely recommend eating in Sky 360 as well. The restaurant slowly turns while you eat. One revolution per hour. Such amazing views from all angles.

I visited the Calgary Tower and it was an exceptional experience! It made me honestly feel like going on all the towers across the world. All other towers around the world were beautiful displayed with their location, build cost, etc. I loved the experience completely and would highly recommend. The wait time was super short, and the attendants were also nice and professional!

It's definitely worth seeing (one of the attractions I would add to the must-do list if visiting Calgary). Very breathtaking views, glass floor (part of it, but still scary), toilet upstairs as well (comfortable when you are with a stroller). Byw, there are no toilets downstairs in the building. We wanted to visit a restaurant as well (it is possible to do in Vancouver's tower upstairs), but without reservation, it was impossible even if it was 1 or 2 p.m. hightly recommended.

Some staff were very friendly, others very flat affect. Once your at the top, the views were beautiful. It was fun standing on the glass floor. They had small plaques where they pointed out what buildings we were looking at which was informative. Besides looking outside, there was nothing else to do. I found it a bit pricey.

Visiting the Calgary Tower was a highlight of our trip! The view from the top is truly spectacular, offering a stunning panorama of the city and distant mountains. While our stop was quite brief, it was very reminiscent of the experience at the CN Tower. Would recommend to anyone who has some spare time when in Calgary. Beautiful views of the city, railway and mountains with 360 degree views. It is quite expensive at $23 for an adult though!

Fun way to see the city. Quick elevator ride up. Cool glass floor experience (which made me feel a little dizzy at first). Beautiful views of the city. It was a cloudy, rainy day when we visited, I can only imagine how beautiful it would have been with a sunny day!

Great experience and well worth the fee. You get to truly see all the city and get a different perspective. Take the time to read the signage and download the app, it’s interesting to see all the knooks and spaces you miss zooming through traffic. Not that tall compared to many other buildings even in the area, while only slightly taller than the space needle and a third of the height of the CN Tower. It is a nice place to go though as it has very nice views, and a very reasonable price. It's worth stopping at.

Having lived out here for 12 years I’ve only been to Stampede twice, with last week on Friday parade day being one of those. After two long years of the pandemic, it was nice to feel the energy and the excitement, and the rhythm of the music at the stampede grounds. It can get overly crowded for sure and unfortunately there’s always the ones that don’t know how to behave properly, but mostly overall people were having a good time. That’s what it should be about. I have to leave one star off because I don’t agree with the use of animals in entertainment, and inevitably there are always animals that get killed at this event which is an aspect I detest.

Such a fun event! They have everything you can think of when it comes to a rodeo and a carnival! Definitely a great way to get your steps in and have some fun fair food too!

So much fun for people of all ages! The rides are great fun. Food is delicious, and a huge variety. You could spend so much time here. Nashville North was great for dancing with friends! Musical acts are pretty popular as well. Saw Sheryl Crow a few years back for free. Such an amazing memory! Hoping to make it back here again in the future.

We didn't attend any of the main shows but we explored the other attractions and the food. It was loads of fun! After two years of pandemic isolation, it was really nice to be in this festive atmosphere surrounded by people enjoying themselves. One of the main highlights was the Elbow River Camp of the Indigenous people of the region. It was absolutely fantastic! We attended a dance performance there and at the same time learned more about their culture, traditions, and ceremonies. We also ate bannock with jam, which is a heavy but tasty snack. Definitely going to come back again next year!

Very nice, this was my first rodeo, it will definitely not be my last. I had a really good time in spite of people asking to be let out- back in- let out- back in-.... If you know you are going to have to keep moving you should get an outside seat. Smh

One must go to this stampede at least once if not every time. My favourite were the motorcycle stunts featured on a particular evening that I could not shoot but it was thrilling. Display by the Canadian army is also my favourite. There is something for everyone. Food , rides, children rides, face painting, betting, gambling, clubbing , alcohol, performing arts, live music and the high list spectacular fireworks. It’s very very busy during Calgary stampede but the joy is sometimes in the crowd n rush. Still the management of such a massive scale event is great. Everything flows smoothly. Buy tickets at the gate or online and you are zoomed into the GM huge grounds . Oh I forgot to mention the horse show. I missed it but I was happy just to see the stables. Must go place

Aggi days. So many displays and things to see. Not as many animals but still enough variety. Excellent organization of the free event. Lots of volunteers. Majority of them very engaging. Thankyou!

2023 Calgary Stampede, first impressions is that the show has a lot going on and a lot of people attending. You just got to find your fun among it all. I would recommend the evening show on the first day.

Took in the 2023 Rodeo finals from the infield. It was an awesome show of dedication. The crowd was invested and the competition was fierce. Near perfect performances created champions that the crowd roared for. The midway is always a gong show. Crazy numbers of people. All the lineups you could ever want to wait in. And the food, you'll be glad you tried it but wish you didn't. The livestock and the shows and everything that stampede brings to Calgary is world class. And the Coke stage is always a must. Took in Mother Mother this year and it was just an awesome show. Plenty of people hate on the Stampede because it makes the city a little crazy with traffic, people and events, but it's really truly something to experience.

The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth and rightly so lives up to its expectations each & every year we visit this place! One cannot get enough of the place in a day. Wish it would last more than 10 days in a year! On average 1.0M people visit the event each year from as far as Far East, Middle East, Europe and United States and from other parts of our great country Canada 🇨🇦

Rodeo was alot of fun! Going as a family you need 2 days at the stampede to really enjoy everything the park has to offer. ( rides, agriculture arena, dog show and entertainment, food, rodeo, fireworks, evening shows) We had a great time and will be back next year! ** Buy the day pass not stamps!! or rides will cost you a fortune.

Five stars for the rodeo! Absolutely fantastic! The rest....the kids entertainment is crammed in a little corner. So many children and parents waiting to see Paw Patrol and they have the tiniest little stage and seating area. They can't join in or even see half the time. Waited 1.5 hours to watch a 20 minute show because last year our son was at the back of a huge crowd and could not see a thing. Doesn't really feel like a celebration of western culture, just a 10 day fancy dress party aimed at people that will spend a ton of money on alcohol. Not really family friendly at all (except for kids day (morning) which is really good). I will state again though that the rodeo is fab! Wish we didn't have to go through the rowdy, drunken crowds to get out of the stampede grounds though and back to our vehicle.

Yes. So happy we were fortunate to attend the Stampede. First time ever. One day we went to see the Chuck Wagon Races .. the next day attended the Stampede Rodeo and musical variety show and fireworks. Walked around and enjoyed the grounds. Unbelievable how many people were there. Whoa I have attached a few photos. If you get a chance to attend the Stampede next year, Go. Yaaaahooo

After a 17 year gap, we decided to check out the Calgary Stampede - we always enjoy watching coverage on TV but it’s fun to walk the midway and grounds and see live shows. The daily schedule helped us to plan the day and we lucked out by getting in free before 11:00am - not sure why but 🤠. We enjoyed: the RCMP Musical Ride - a proud Canadian tradition and celebration of 150 years of service; the illusionist, Stampede Show Riders, River Camp village with Indigenous dancers, market place displays, animal displays, show band, and Canine Stars. Searching for gluten free options was a bit of a chore but we found some poutine, dole whip and caramel apples. 😋see pictures. We ended our day with a T&S concert at the Coca Cola stage which is an amazing new-and-improved outdoor stage venue. We are 50+ so didn’t partake in rides or much after 10:30 but after 12 hours we had a full day!

I just did a quick drive by to check out the outside after doing the Calgary Tower tour. I came in August so missed the Big Rodeo in July. I might have to come back in July one year to check it out.

One and only of its kind in entire North America if I am not wrong. You got food, rides, cultural activities, music and what not. Remember it is for 10 days only so make sure you visit it at least once since it is worth it. I bought a ticket online and it was 90 bucks worth.

We were glad we went, and a two day visit was enough! One giant theme park, which is great for the kids, and also so many food and drinks vendors. It seems to be about, sell, sell, sell, rather than about conservation, compassion, and preservation of tradition. However, saying all of that, it is the biggest outdoor show we've ever been to...

This is such a fun place to bring the family! There are so many things to do here. We rode the steam train, looked at the train cars, blacksmith shop, dentist office, rode on the rides, visited the gift shop, ate donuts and cotton candy. Then there was so much more we didn't get to do because we ran out of time. There are employees everywhere in costume to help out or talk about the different buildings and things to see. Everyone was so helpful and kind! The treats were yummy and reasonably priced. This time we were here with a school trip but we've been here before with just family. Love this place! Next time we'll visit the ranch and ride the boat.

Hadn't been here since I was a kid. Had an absolute blast as an adult. My work did a year end wrap up here and it was amazing! Complete with a scavenger hunt, prizes, and amazing I mean absolutely phenomenal food! I like how they keep their history up to date, add lots of interactive shows, and manage their displays really well. It's cool to see a bunch of Canadian history all in one place. I love that they share the history of every building. I will absolutely be returning soon!

Can't say enough good things about this place to be honest!! What an amazing way to spend an entire day. Please make sure you have ample time when you visit this place as there are just so many things to see. I went there about 1pm and hadn't explored half the park by 5pm. The train and buggy ride was really fun. The park is beautifully built with a lot of thought and attention to detail. I'm surely going to go back a second time to make sure I get to explore more of the park.

Such a great day out, even in the middle of winter! The buffet breakfast for 'Once Upon A Christmas' is simply the best buffet I've ever had, plus the staff are so friendly! Well worth the money. We've been going every year (except COVID in 2020 when it was closed) and we will continue to go as our family tradition.

I cannot recommend Heritage Park enough!! I'm a big fan of historic villages and this place checks every box for me. I brought my two nephews (4 and 2 years old) and they had the time of their life. Between riding the train, the amusement rides, and watching the live demonstrations, we were hooked on everything! Heavily considering getting a membership because this place is just awesome!

An excellent tourist attraction for everyone particularly an exciting and exhilarating place for a family with children. The heritage park village, in the proximity to Bow river and a huge dock, consists of clean green lawns, paved walking trails, and attractive statues of various animals. It also has a train that take you around the park. There are lots of tables everywhere to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenic views and electrified visitors. Also there are shops and restaurants near the entrance where you can buy souvenirs or ice cream of your choice. I wish, the park has so much to offer, that it remained open until at least 8:00 pm in summer. Unfortunately, it closes at five, so the security guards start chasing people away from 4:30. Isn't 4:30 too early to wind up and send the enthusiastic people away in the long sunny days in Calgary?

Absolutely gorgeous. The amusement park is fun for adults as well. I’d recommend wearing the comfiest shoes to walk around the park, and really get to see a lot more. If you enjoy boat rides, the steam boat is a must!

Always enjoy our trips to Heritage Park so much! The staff are always so friendly and kind, things are kept clean, and the grounds are gorgeous. If you think you might go a few times in the season it's worth getting a season pass! Lots to do so easy to have multiple visits and have each time feel different.

The Alberta Day (on 2/9/2023) celebration was held here! There was a drone show on 9pm. And throughout the day there’re a lot of booths such as live music show, kid corners, food trucks for you to enjoy. Besides, it’s a good opportunity for me to enter the heritage park for free! Normally there is a fee $30-40 for each entry.

The park is an awesome idea, combining nice strolls in the open air, with historical exhibits, preserved or restored. Their summer and xmas markets are less busy than others around the city and its cool to hunt down all the locations throughout the park. the bakery is always busy, with long lines... they should really get extra staff and better distribution in nearby cafes and restaurants.

I'm not a huge fan of tourist destinations but was visiting Calgary to see my 5 year old grandchild so if course went along for the fun. If you live in Calgary and whether you have children or not this is a must. My daughter decided to apply what she paid for 4 of us that day to a yearly pass as we were leaving. So worth it! It's pricey but once you get inside everything except food is free. In summer bring a picnic as the selection of grab and go food isn't great. They do have some dine-in restaurants but we thought too much time would be wasted with a 5 year old. The small midway is delightful with 100 year old rides with fantastic story boards. After spending 4+ hours there I was ready to go back the next day to explore more. Well done Heritage Park!

We have the best experience exploring the park. We rode the train to go around and eat ice cream and some other sweet staff they have. It was a great fresh air visiting the farm yard and the little town around. The vintage cars are cool as well.

Great place for family and kids. It has lot of rides for all ages. The building looks very genuine. The staffs are very helpful. I would recommend everyone to visit especially people living in Calgary. Annual subscription fee is reasonable.

What a place where you really get into the past! You can feel the real Wild West and take a ride on an old train. All vintage equipment works and is in excellent condition. There's also an amazing exhibition of vintage cars that you won't see anywhere else!

It's an incredible place not to be missed on your visit to Calgary. The area has been kept like it jade been in the early 20th century and certain things have been added to raise the atmosphere of that period. You can easily spend the future day in the village as the place is huge. There is a train going around the village that you should not miss. Also, the half-hour horse ride where you will get to know the details of the place from the guide is very interesting. Make sure that you go here on a sunny day as you will be walking a lot outside.

Had a lovely day at the park with me and my wife. We made reservations for the buffet and weren't disappointed. We received outstanding service from the friendly staff. The food was amazing! I had 3 plates highly recommend for Family and Friends

Went on the weekend go see Christmas market . All buildings were open and you could do Christmas shopping at little shops or at the market . There is free play you can attend during Christmas season , letters to Santa writing station and many cool things to Take photos with .

This place is huge- it could easily fill an entire day with everything from automobile collections, pioneer life, and coal mining as well as a really well done old-fashioned midway. I enjoyed the fact everything was included in the admission. We also ate at a really nice restaurant there- the food was perfect. And if you want to ride the train, a tractor pulled cart or horse pulled carriage you are in luck! Please like this review to help me justify my senseless hobby of writing them for every place I have ever visited ;)

We visited during a weekday at the end of the season, when it was closed. This means we missed out on some of the immersion into history. Special arranges had been made for our group of 20 from Arizona! Thank you! The Guide was fantastic! She was enthusiastic, well versed in all of the details. This is a great place for imagining history!

Most of the park was closed by the time I arrived so I explored the lake and walked the trail to see if I could catch a good sunset which never came 🙃 I drove 6.5 hours the day before so needed a more low key day. The next time I am in the area, I definitely want to check it out when it's open. It looks like a pretty cool spot. There was clear bottom kayaks out in the water from a tour company also.

A rare Canadian gas-powered motorised bicycle, which cost twice the price of a standard bicycle and retailed for $96 (back in 1949). Amazing 🚲to see modern-day eBikes having similar features. We also loved all the many antique vehicles in the Gasoline Alley Museum 💖

Prince's Island reminds me a lot of Vancouver. It's a nice little getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. It is in an ideal location, right on the river and a few minutes from the downtown core. The park is considerably huge with large deciduous trees, lush gardens and a cafe on the island. With the changing of the season, the colourful leaves add a whole new beauty to it.

Princess Park is a beautiful and blissful place to spend an afternoon strolling, go for a morning run, enjoy some buskers, or traverse through to get to the restaurants and bars on the other side of the river. It has many events hosted throughout the spring and summer and has a huge stage for live music. The River Cafe is most certainly fine dining and the extra novelty of walking to the establishment creates a lasting memory fit for any special occasion. If you are looking for a fun spot to grab a beer and some fun food, be sure to hit the Garage right next to the park!

Another great place to skate/cycle or just walk and take in the nature and beauty of the city. Been ruined lately from all the protesters in the area. But if you can ignore those losers than it’s still enjoyable.

This is a beautiful park with trails going both sides of the river, with nice little spots to hang at. There's a food truck here aswel. Family friendly, but high traffic of bicycles, roller skating, joggers and scooters along the trail. Absolutely amazing park in the summer ☀️.

Prince's Island Park is a beautiful oasis in downtown Calgary. When you're here, it no longer feels like you're in the hustle and bustle of downtown. There's so much greenery and old trees surrounding the bow river. There's plenty of space to sit and have a picnic. Paths interwind and flow through the park, inviting you to walk, bike, or take a scooter on them. And many people do as the paths we took were quite busy. And if you want a nice meal, River Café situated in the middle of the park serves some delectable dishes. I genuinely feel lucky to live in this city.

A nice park for family going on weekend and workers spending their day off. Great grass land surrounding playgrounds. The park is on the bow river, connected with bridges, the most famous and iconic one is Peace Bridge. The park was built on land, and donated in 1947 to the city by the Prince family. Prince Island park is the Central Park in New York. Amazing place to visit if you are tourist.

We are visiting our friends in Calgary and decided to come here for an evening stroll and we were not disappointed. The river walk is absolutely stunning with fast flowing water just looking incredible on a sunny day. You will see a lot of people on the sidewalk and in the park along with their furry friends. All in all, great experience. Will return here in future.

Very scenic, beautiful Island and Park. Take a stroll around the various pathways, enjoy taking a breather on benches to take advantage of look-out spots. I spotted Squirrels, Robins, Ducks and other various birds. The Café was lovely too. Enjoy!

Nice place to take a stroll. It is nice to see the park under every different seasons. You will appreciate to sit on a bench and read a nice book while enjoying the scenery. There is a cafe situated in the park if you want to enjoy a hot beverage. Squirrels and ducks will be your companion in your journey.

Definitely the most beautiful park in Calgary! I was stunned with the lush greenery and golden hues of the early autumn. I’ve been here only month but that’s my 5th stroll here. I love the little squirrels here there are plenty of them everywhere.

Prince's Island is a very pretty park in the center of Calgary. It owes its name to one Peter Prince, originally from Eau Claire, Wisconsin, who started the Eau Claire & Bow River Lumber Company in 1886. The island was formed in the river when Prince dug a channel (now the arm of the river on the south side of the island) to harness the water power for his lumber mill. It is a very pretty place to visit, there is a single building on the island, the River Cafe. There are three pedestrian bridges and causeway access to the island, only utility vehicles are allowed.

Nice park, not far from downtown Calgary if you're on foot. It was cold and windy when we went there, but the parked seemed nice nonetheless. We saw many squirrels and there are beautiful flowers everywhere. Also a good spot to take some pictures of Bow River, but in a sunny day it must be much nicer.

Prince’s Island is situated North Calgary. It is a sweet little park where you can go for a stroll, relax and enjoy the scenery in a quiet environment. Squirrel and birds will be your companion during your journey, since they are all around the park. There are lots of bridge to access the island and places to sit as well.

Calgary has plenty of beautiful parks all over the city, and Prince's Island Park is, definitely, one of the most popular and visited parks in downtown that has picturesque downtown, river, and waterfront views. In summer, the park is thronged by a variety of people of all the ages and interests. cyclists, walkers by themselves or with their furry friends and joggers are seen on the trails on either side of the river and on the over bridge. There are lots of trees and lush green grounds with benches to enjoy the nature and the river. There is a children playground with various equipment to keep them active and occupied in the natural surroundings. Also, a cafeteria and washrooms are on the park to cater to the needs of visitors. The amazing park has lots to offer to every kind of people, for free. Walking along the river filled me and my wife with enormous exhilaration.

You'd probably have more fun near the Peace Bridge, but this park was well kept and not super busy. Peasant to tour and had some good scenery. Bridge is bouncy.

I visited this park during July end. The park is very beautiful and clean. The neighborhood is lovely. The park is on the banks of Bow River. Water is dark blue and looks very scenic. However, parking was limited. We went to the peace bridge, and even though it was under construction, the bridge looked beautiful.

What an amazing place. Highly recommended for tourists, kids, adults, well everyone!! The omni theatre was slightly boring and i fell asleep during the “movie” but everything else was great. Exhibits were intellectually stimulating, bringing back memories of the science centre tours I had back in Singapore. Highly recommended.

It's a beautiful building with a lot of parking. The cinematic IMAX of sorts was amazing. I expected there would be more to do inside the building but the actual exhibits while very well done were not many. You can easily do this entire experience in a couple of hours. I'm hopeful they add new exhibits because what they've got are very good. We purchased a membership online thinking we could come back frequently. Unless they change exhibits we will not be able to do this. A nice experience, but not enough to see.

The centre was very interesting and is perfect for children and adults. I suggest you look up the timings of the shows, we weren't able to see the two movies we wanted to because they weren't playing at the time we were there. Also, don't forget to visit the planetarium, it's not in the general area of the rest of the centre. Missed going there because I saw the signs to it on the way out down a hall, but since the rest of my group was already waiting for me in the car.

The Science Centre is always a fun time for the family. Even my 14-year-old had fun! When we went, they had an evening event on called 'sparkle sparkle'. It was a holiday-themed event, they had many displays, an ice princess/snow queen greeting the kids, snow machines, a cute little film in the planetarium, and a fantastic science-themed display in the theater. For a family of 4, it's cheaper (only by a few bucks), to buy the annual pass vs. the family pass. If more than 4 in your fam, the family pass is the way to go. The gift shop has a great choice of unique gifts and treats. At the time, they had a Goodnight Moon display, and they have virtual reality for anyone to try! While parking is not free, if you have a membership, then parking is covered! We'll be back very soon 👍🏼

Awesome place to take the kids for a fun day. Even my 11 month old had a section of his own and loved crawling around the Indigenous comic book area, which was my personal favourite. Enjoyed a couple of the shows/presentations and they were both good and I would recommend them, they are short and fairly action packed so they don't take up all your time there. The 2nd floor was more geared towards kids 6 and up I would say so my 4 year old was just doing things that she mostly didn't understand up there. Was raining when I went but the outdoor portion looked like it would be really enjoyable on another visit.

Telus Park Science Center was a fun place to visit with my family. We spent around 3 hours walked around different parts of the museum. Really enjoyed the first floor exhibits. All the exhibits were nice and entertaining. Got some funny pictures. Got some shocks blowing wind and height measurements. Infinity globe was also nice. One to watch will plan to visit again.

Feels like nearing half of the interactive sections are broken and have been taken down. This is a problem because not only do your kids not get to play/learn/experience, but it drives demand on the few functioning exhibits. This place is on the downhill and needs to reinvest in what it does have instead of investing in a VR playset... Which (while cool) is not what I took my kid to a science center to do. Not worth the price of admission.

Amazing place for kids and adults. They have amazing movie shows on dome, live shows, my kids got to interact with dinosaur. The quantum sandbox is an incredible experience for kids. Highly recommend to get annual membership and attend programs. Sparks science interest!

Excellent place to take your kids and expose them to some good ol' science. Lots of interactive exhibits and staff are super friendly and helpful. If you participate in all the exhibits and stations they have available, you could spend the whole day here easily. Lots for adults to participate in as well, so you won't feel left out.

Overall not a bad experience. I came here unfortunately on a day full of kids from school trips but I do enjoy the documentary from the dome theatre. Otherwise, it's a small place I wish there were more items to display and browse around to be worth $25 per adult which I think is slightly overpriced.

Good place to spend an hour or two. I have been to several science museums over the years, but this one doesn't really compare much to any of them. There aren't too many exhibits and a lot of them were not working properly when I visited. The most interesting part for me honestly was the show at the infinity dome which I thought was pretty cool. I went here on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't too crowded but there was a barbie exhibit going on which was interesting to see.

This was a great experience for a school field trip. They were so well organized, they met us at the door and we knew were we needed to be and at what times. The staff were easy to find and very helpful. The building is large and quite lovely. The outdoor discovery/play area was amazing and so much fun. I was a bit disappointed with the upstairs interactive area, many need serious refurbishment and it could have been more eye catching and colorful. The gift shop is excellent with a fantastic selection of toys, experiments, and souvenirs. We also had some ice cream that was pricy but very good.

We had tons of fun. This is a great place to bring kids, especially if they love science. There are plenty of fun exhibits that are super interactive. As an adult, I enjoyed my time here. My kid also loves it so much, he said he wanted to come back here.

This is quite possibly the biggest waste of time and money. I used to come here as a kid and it was great. Now, everything is run down. Out of the 30 little run down things they have upstairs for kids to do, 15 of them do not work. The buttons don’t work, half of them say ‘no USB’ or machine out of service. The electrical circuit ones have these little clips that are broken and run down. They don’t even work. This broke so called science centre takes $110 per family and then doesn’t even replace those? They cost $3 each. This is a total and utter waste of time, I was here with 4 adults and 2 kids. And every single one of us was entirely unimpressed by this place. On top of that, some of the staff were rude, weird, and 2 of them literally smelt like they hadn’t showered in 3 weeks. SAVE YOUR MONEY. Do not go here. This place isn’t what it used to be. And likely NEVER will be again. Even the boy at the desk was fighting with someone about what his name is and yelling at customers. It’s a pathetic massive waste of money. The bathrooms are so filthy it’s insane. There’s literal poop not even just in the toilets, it’s on and around the areas you sit. The garbages are filled up and weren’t emptied for days it looks like. The changing tables had literal poop stains all over them. I’d honestly sue this place if I had the time or energy to spend another terrible minute on this dumpster fire of a place.

Open room was space themed with astrological zodiac signs and stories regarding history of the moon. The thing we came for was Da Vinci!! Didn't disappoint. Very cool facts and all life size things he made. Great food options (just very overpriced but they know they can get away with it)

Very nice place to go with kids. When we visited in August they have really nice Barbie setup.. they displayed all the barbies from starting and now tht was really cool. There are lot of things to experienced like science experiments, virtual games, dome shows, many things to see n learn. My personal favorite is Dome shows.. we really enjoyed Dome shows. They have big indoor and outdoor play area and many activities for kids. Its worth to go with kids.

Not very big, so just good for a couple hours of distraction. Exhibits that were there were interesting for the most part, except for the "hands-on" displays, which were mostly broken or missing parts, making them unusable. The zoo next door is a much better value at a slightly higher cost.

Took the bikes here and theres lots of nice trails with some great views. Not too challenging since there's not many big hills. We even saw a deer in the fields which was really nice.

It's really a huge park. It's hard to believe, but it a part of the city. There are a lot of good and comfortable trails to enjoy your walk. It's amazing place to relax and disconnect from city noise. Unfortunately, we didn't see a lot of wildlife.

Out and about - enjoying the sun. It's been a long while since I did some walk and took a breather. The view here never cease to amaze me. Relaxing and the pure sound from nature is like therapy.

A huge park along the Bow River and other creeks. So beautiful and wonderful for walking, biking, picnics, fire pits and exploring. Ice caves are quite interesting. Great places to eat at Bow Ranche. Wildlife and bird watching and photography.

Ah yes. Good ol' Fish Creek Park. This is another Calgary classic. Great for walking, running, biking, bird-watching, fishing, picnicking, etc. It's surprisingly large. It's actually one of the largest urban parks in North America and the second-largest urban park in Canada. And it's the only provincial park in Calgary's city limits. Just one more reason why Calgary is the most livable city. Ever.

Just a dry hole right now as of April 2022. Not sure if or when their going to fill with water because all the health problems. For now, it's great for riding the trails, paths and roads behind the beach concessions. You can't actually ride the paths inside the beach area. Lots of people in parking area coming from Shaunessy and parking lot can be busy when it's nice weather even though the watering hole is closed now. The beach is closed and only trails and parking lots around fenced beach are open today.

Another go-to for most Calgarians, Fish Creek is a great spot for a quick hike, a bike ride, or—in our case— a photo shoot. The park is always well maintained and offers the right mix of nature and convenience.

Spending evening in the fish creek neighbourhood is just soothing. No amenities or shops in the area. It has large playgrounds, river bank, pond, scenic beauty and very less crowd m. It’s a nice spot to take an evening walk.

And as for me, I left with a heart full of gratitude and a camera roll full of moments to cherish.

I have visited the Fish Creek Provincial Park three times in a month time; nevertheless, I have not yet explored it completely, for it is the second largest urban protected natural area in Canada that sprawls in an area of over 13.4 square kms. The enormous park provides picturesque natural scenes of forest area, grassy lands, lots of hills of various heights, creek, ponds, lakes, and over hundred trails and roads. I have yet to explore the southern side of the enormous park where Sikome Lake is situated. I intend to visit the park again to see some wild animals, birds, and the lake, soon. The park has more than 100 km paths of paved and unpaved trails as well as plenty of beaten paths for activities such as walking, jogging, running, cycling, ascending and descending hills, and capturing natural scenes of wildlife's flora and fauna. The creek that gives an impression of a mighty, long river is a prepossessing part of the park. There are some benches to relax and tables to enjoy picnic with your family and/or friends at several places and near the creek. Also, there are clean washrooms at different places in the park and along the creek. Today, for the fourth time, I visited the park. I went to the Sikome Lake which was way more beautiful and bigger than I had thought after seeing some of the pictures. Although there is an entry fee and a weekday, there were hundreds of people on a Wednesday evening. Had I not gone to the lake, I wouldn't have been able to see the extremely beautiful part of the park. Anyone visiting Calgary must add this park in their things to do in the beautiful city.

Such an interesting place to visit, lots of interesting things on display, and so much history to learn about. The permanent collections are quite good, but I also really enjoy the exhibits which change, as they it freshen things up. I recently learned about the extensive collections this museum actually holds, and I hope with the new place that they rotate more, as it’s really good to learn more about our history in Alberta, Canada, and the world.

Visited during their First Thursday of the Month free admission and it was really crowded but worth the visit! They have four floors with lots of exhibits like Calgary history, pre-historic time, Minerals, artifacts, collections and contemporary arts. It’s a good place to visit if you’re in Stephen Avenue area so you could get a little history about the city👌

OUTSTANDING museum! Spent the day here and was overwhelmed by how authentic and rustic this place felt. Great exhibits that take you back in time and transport you through western Canada. Very clean, detailed and educational. Cannot say enough good things about this place.

Amazing art history museum! Beautiful exhibits highlighting deffoerent art mediums like pencil, paint and sculpture. Great inclusion of inuit and indigenous artists and culture. I especially loved the Mankind exhibit and the pencil art exhibit. Definitely worth a visit if you're in town and in mood to see some astounding art. Although, there is currently a huge renovation going on where the 3rd and 4th floors are closed, maybe even for while. Also, they need ticket reservations online with certain time slots.

We were lucky as when we got to the museum they told us it was free for everyone! We thought it would be crowded, but it was not. There were plenty of people but did not feel uncomfortable, there was plenty of room for everyone to move around and look at the exhibitions. Warriors is one of our favorite exhibits. I have seen lots of armors before, but did not know how they made them, here we learned so much! Also the mineral exhibit is amazing, worthwhile visiting, kids loved it. Visiting the museum takes time, we could not see all of it, but are planning a second visit. This is a great museum!

Spacious enough for social distancing in this pandemic. Enjoyed exploring all the floors from first floor to the 4th. Lots of interesting arts, cultural and historical collections. Staff were friendly and helpful. It’s good to see security guards too.

The best museum I've been to. Some of the stands are interactive. Great source of inspiration. Seems somewhat modest when you come in but the moment I spoke to the receptionist I knew this was gonna be good. Very kind people willing to help you, guide you and, if you go on your own you don't miss a thing since everything is very intuitive. Highly recommended both as a personal experience as well as a group visit

The Genbow is and always has been an excellent museum. It is not huge but they do a great job with the space. There is always a visiting exhibit. Hands on exhibits and the regular exhibits. I had not been for a while and they really upgraded several of the exhibits. I also find that the price is very reasonable for a museum of this type. Definitely worth a visit.

Amazing collection. The African gallery and Alberta gallery stood out for me. Lots of artifacts and handicrafts from around the world. There is a tapestry type of artwork that tells an interesting story of the oil industry. Lots of other good stuff for history, art, and polictical buffs. I noticed a lot of activities for children also.

Great place for family and kids. A beautiful summer day get-away from Calgary. Going on a public holiday or long weekend wouldn’t be recommended at all as it’s tightly packed and takes a good while just waiting in queue’s itself. There is a handful and more of games and activities there. A lot of them need extra pay than the entry fee to the park. There are also height restrictions on some rides for smaller kids. Bumper cars are available for both small kids and adults separately. Kids under 10 have a great deal to enjoy, although I should mention that the number of adult rides and actual adventure rides were very few. What surprised me most was that it was although a water theme park, there was no swimming pool. There was a mini spray park for kids but that was about it. Parking is available and safety measures seemed to be on point from what I saw. Was a happy and fun day experience and would visit and recommend again! Worth visiting for families with small kids.

We Had a great time with my family at Calaway. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. There are lots of rides for everyone, more for little ones My only complaint was that the tickets 🎟️ are expensive $350 for 4 kids and 2 Adults 😅😅 You can bring snacks water and food 😃

Lots of fun for the kiddos, and if you have season passes it's well worth it. We have taken the kiddos about 15 times this summer and we have always had a great experience. Protective measures for covid are in place, social distancing in lines and on rides, as well as regular sanitation of rides. We have really enjoyed this season.

My family and I took my three year old son for his first time. I haven't been to Calaway Park since I was a teenager and I always loved it as a kid so I was very exited to go again. My family and I had an amazing time. We were very pleasantly surprised at how many rides my son was able to go on both with us or by himself. Everything was clean, the ride attendants were awesome. We weren't sure how my toddler would enjoy the rides but he had a blast on everything and so did we. An amazing day filled with happy memories I won't forget. We will be back again soon, and regularly every year too.

Staff are really good at watching for safety issues and making sure kids are safe. Plenty for all ages to do. Haven't sampled the food yet but prices look super reasonable. Always love a good log flume!

Omg...so much fun for my little guy. So happy they have centered the park around the smaller kids. My child is 6 and there were tons of rides and games he could play and he did. Thank you for a wonderful day outing. He can hardly wait to go back again.

Amazing place, many rides that are very scenically and nicely placed to add to the atmosphere of the place. My favorite rides were the water related ones and the swings. There seems to be way more rides for advanced ride takers than begginer to intermediate ones like me that's the only downside of this place. There are many washrooms and restaurants that serve vegetarian options. The majority of bathrooms were clean with the exception of one that was extremely dirty. Overall positive experience

Great time with my 6 year old niece. It's was busy but ride lines moved fast. That said, it took us almost an hour to order lunch and the food wasn't great. We will bring a picnic next time.

We have 2 young children (4 & 7) and we had such a great time. The rides are great for younger kids. My 4 year old could go on almost all the rides, and it's really nice to be able to go on with the kids on the smaller ones. The lines were short and the treats scattered around the park you could purchase were tasty. We will definitely get a seasons pass next year.

We had a fun experience here during May 22 holiday. Perfect as we do not experience long wait times. Rides are mostly the same especially for kids with heights between 3ft -4ft. Purchasing a season pass is a great idea. Second visit is awesome day too! Perfect weather to try the other rides. And almost all rides are open now. Don’t forget sunblock, water and snacks! 😊

We love this place because there is so many rides that the younger ones can enjoy as well as plenty for the older ones. And I love the way the park is set up. With small rides close to each big ride so while you're waiting your not bored. It is a tradition for us to make the drive from Edmonton every summer.

Let me start with buy the season pass in Dec from Co Op so you can get it for cheap. Its totally worth it. Lots of ride for kids and adult there are a lot of food stalls, game stalls, there are some ride which are busy with line up at peak time. This is one of the place where I will recommend season pass. There is a theater and live performances. Ample washroom and parking. They have halloween and christmas theme which is really fun for kids. Over all highly recommended. It's highly recommended for families with kids, a lot of games for sure. We came here at the end of August and it was raining. You will be surprised that many people are still coming even with bad weather. And there is no lineup for games and restaurants. Overall, great experience!

It was a good experience, although we could not go for all the rides as I had two toddlers . So we were only able to go for a couple of them and when they are taller and older we will have to go back . More fun activities for little children should be provided though

Fantastic boulevard to walk along during the day or night time enjoying some of the beautiful sculptures on the street. You can stop to have a drink or eat in any of the many restaurants or pubs in the area with a huge variety of cuisines or shopping in the beautiful stores around.

A beautiful tourist attraction in the heart of city. My favorite ealrs restaurant was there for dinner. Hours can be spent here without getting bored even for a minute. Battery powered scooters add extra fun.

Beautiful walking street full of restaurants, stores, lights, art and music. Enjoyable in all seasons. You can access the plus 15 system interconnecting the beautiful Calgary downtown buildings. The pics are showing the Trees Sculpture from the bridge connecting the Bankers Hall and the Core Shopping Centre. Plus 15 is open until 9 pm.

it is always a good treat to come back here from time to time. This street has everything you need to go shopping or checking out some neat Restaurants near by. It's got good sports doors, clothing, coffee shops for any coffee lovers out there. And with in walking distance as well if you park near by. And not to mention I gotten to see some unique bicycles that are custom made and some were home made as well. So this would be a great spot to check out on a nice clear sky day or on a nice summer day

Really beautiful indoor outdoor mall in the middle of the city. You could go there and find anything you'd like. On the fourth floor there's a very beautiful food court with excellent views out of the roof to the building surrounding

Excellent strip of boutique shops, restaurants and bars/pubs. Walkable with many people around. Many shaded patios. Live performances at times. Close proximity to transit and the core mall. Some homeless in the area.

A pedestrian only walkway lined with restaurants, bars, stores on either side. As a tourist, I appreciated this area, making it quite easy to find a restaurant of my choice.

Could easily spend half a day here! Many exhibits tell the long history of all Canadian military branches. Attendants are very knowledgeable and friendly. A must see!

Went there for Remembrance Day Ceremonies. They hold the ceremonies outside and then the museum opens for everyone to go inside. Admission is free that day (donations are appreciated) and it provides an opportunity for everyone to explore the museum. Expect to spend a few hours there if you're reading and watching the mini video clips. Very educational and always learn something new. Didn't make it through all the exhibits but they are so well done. It was an experience and every year we go, we always take the opportunity to walk through the museum, especially to check out the new exhibit on display at that time. With a retired military veteran along with me during the tour definitely gave a very different perspective on how things were. Very lucky to have the freedoms we have today and remember to not take it for granted. Lest we forget.

That is a well done museum. I cannot believe the detail and the amount of exhibits. We didn't even get to all of it, there was so much to see. Very cool. Also remarkabley clean bathrooms, with at least a chair to feed or breastfeed your little one. I really appreciated that little touch.

Great museum. Nice collection of tanks, armoured vehicles, aircrafts. Amazing ship models. A lot of history of the wars and missions around the globe. Reach collection of uniforms. I spent there around 4.5 hours, one hour outside. There is a place to eat and a small souvenir shop. Museum has a good discount for students. Visiting this museum also gives a discount for the Hangar Museum

I visited this place with my family. Our experience was epic, the atmosphere really reflected the artifacts and the history behind them. The people were very professional and the veterans were so patient. They took their time to expand every picture and model planes and bomb shelters etc.

Great Calgary must see if you are from out of town, also a great place to see if you live in Calgary and want to know some of the military history. Family of four was $32. We spent about 2hrs just looking, we have a 5yr old and he moves, so we didn’t get to read or watch much. If you spend time reading and learning you can loose yourself here for hours on end, in fact, a whole day if you take your time. Attended the summer skirmish held at the Military Museum. The day was full of fun activities consisting if people in various period costumes role playing and educating. I only had 30 minutes to go through the Museum itself but I was blown away by the quality if it. I'm definitely going back to just the Museum in order to give it the time it deserves.

There were many interesting exhibits that showcased the evolution of military technology across various eras. Inside the museum, I was able to learn about the brave acts of Canadian military heroes and their courageous actions, which left a profound impression on me regarding their bravery and spirit of service. Overall, the Military Museum in Calgary offers a rich and comprehensive experience, making it a must-visit place for those interested in history and military affairs.

The museum was very impressive. Unfortunately also a bit depressing. Thanks to Dave, who welcomed us at the entrance and explained a lot in advance. This has greatly simplified the visit to the museum. It is very special and also somewhat exciting to see how the individual areas of the Canadian military have had an influence on the various wars. Very moving also the individual areas where the fallen are commemorated.

Great place to spend time with family. Learn about our history and sacrifices made by our forces to keep us safe. You get to see planes, tanks up close and personal Wasnt too busy. There is gift shop and cafe inside but not anything fancy. Easy to spen 4 hours during a holiday

This place is AMAZIIIINNNNGGGG. This was the best military museum I've ever been to. We got in free as my husband is a retired veteran who loved the experience as well. It's great that the museum has all three branches of the military. Maybe in the future there will be a devoted section to the role native culture/branches contributed to the war. Consider at least 4 hours of time here if you enjoy learning new things and reading. The museum was very informative, realistic and interactive! Plenty of parking, no need to book in advance unless you want to attend a special event. The gift shop has some very professionally\neat souvenirs for all ages. ♡

Great Heritage Museum, a lot can be learned about our military and naval equipment and the history. Do not go on public holidays as the parking spots are very limited.

This place is soo amazing, took the kids ranging from 7 to 13 and all of them had a blast. Had the privilege to talk to Bob and what an amazing experience. Thank you soo much for everything. Soo much to see and so interesting.

We had a good time. The airforce part was closed, under construction, so that was a bit of a letdown as that was the main reason for visiting. However, the other parts were enjoyable, especially the medic gallery and the hangers.

Terrific place to visit and learn about the history of the Canadian Armed Forces. Large number of vehicles,especially and aircraft on static display outside (sadly, it was -10° when we were there). Special shout-out to the Cold War exhibits and Mr. McKay who led us through the exhibit of the F-86, F-104 and F-18. He was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic, particularly about the F-104 which is one of my favourites.

I have been here so many times and the staff are great. There was a medicine of war special area set up. A doctor who was volunteering offered us a tour which was fantastic. Really enjoyed it. Then in the hangers the guys were really nice. There were two pilots and an engineer. They were friendly told us so much and even allowed us to sit in the starfighter. What a place there is so much to see and it's a hidden gem in Calgary.

Simply a treasure right in the middle of Calgary. Credit to all the curators, the museum(s) are magnificent with a tremendous collection of artifacts and a glimpse into the proud military legacy of Canada. Many stories of dedication to duty like Mike Mountain Horse. This old US Marine was really impressed

Servus Tube Park: Fun winter activity for the family and kids where you can enjoy tubing down a hill and a magic carpet will take you up the hill. $28.35/ ticket. Helmets are recommended and can be rented for $10. The closest Parking lot to the new entrance is the Day lodge parking lot. No previous experience is needed.

Great place for beginners and it is affordable too (50 per day) we went yesterday and the weather was quite warm but still ok. Parking lot was full though and many many tourists. A bit crowded but I guess it is because the hill is too close to the city

First time at this venue was for the Alice Cooper show (April 2022). I was pleasantly surprised by the venue itself. Solid seating and good acoustics for a rink. It was a miserably cold night and there were only two to three entry doors open, letting patrons in. Thus, the line moved slowly. My only other gripe is the parking set up. I think it can be better organized for egress and exit.

We went to Winsport for Pumpkins After Dark! There was lots of parking and a bit of a walk to the event, but it wasn’t too bad. The event seemed to be properly organized with lots of staff directing people to the entrance. Entering the first building, there were lots of pumpkins for sale and more staff to answer questions and direct us to the starting area. The initial area had very modern and clean porto bathrooms. Food trucks and picnic tables were also ready for warm drinks, pizza and mini donuts! I really enjoyed this years visit. It was certainly more Pop culture themed than I remembered from years ago! I truly enjoyed the music and intricate designs they had. Several themes were totally up my alley, including classic cars, Star Wars and many others. It was a chilly night, so many in my group were hustling through the experience while I wanted to stop and take pictures! The whole run took about half an hour, although I totally could have made it last an hour. Once we finished the main run, we stopped at the end building for pictures with the actual carved pumpkins. Very cool designs! We had fun, and will probably return next year!

Love the Downhill Karting 40 Dollars for 4 rides and 1 Digital Photo. I will probably go back again and again for downhill karting Super fun. Mini golf was also great experience.

Very cool stuff! I'm so glad they are getting a variety of activities to do at wonsport in general. The hill is very meh for boarding, but the tubing experience was great especially if you have kids to take along! We went to pumpkins after dark and it was a great little experience, definitely something you need to see in person to appreciate and get in the festive mood!

Super stoked to visit Winsport 1988 Calgary Olympic Park! It was beautiful to experience and try vision what is was like in 1988. To note - sadly in 2021 the 1988 Calgary Olympic display was moved to Toronto. Why and who thought that was a good idea - may have been sadly short-sighted. Forewarning - disappointed doesn't even begin to describe how I felt.

Clean and spotless, quiet, bright, and monumental. I was travelling for a work trip to shoot our own Canadian Women’s world champ for a brand, and was impressed with the size of the rinks, the number of rinks and change rooms, and all the flags that are still flying up there from the Olympics. Was an honour to shoot at this location with Jill and hope to come back soon!

We signed up online for $31 each for 3 goes down the downhill karting. We were not really sure what to expect, but arrived at our timeslot, went through to the karting area, grabbed a helmet each and got our ticket scanned. We jumped on a ski lift thing which took about 5 mins to the top. If it's your first go, you get a quick intro to your kart. They are simple to use, push all the way forward to park. Pull part way back to go and all the way back to break. Then it’s a question of steering which is just like a bike. Once you know that, off you go. They do a quick check to make sure you know how to stop and then off you go down a nice long track which takes a few minutes per run. You can go as fast or as slow as you like. Going fast, you will catch people up and overtake them, going slow you need to watch for people passing you - a few people were not paying attention and when I overtook them at speed, they were surprised. We saw a few people crash, not really the carts fault but they were steering badly, not breaking ahead of a chicane or just stupid. Everyone else managed it fine. 3 runs down, including the chair lift back up took about 30 mins. I imagine on busier days (we were there friday lunchtime) you could be waiting at the top quite a while, but the staff organising and keeping things moving were efficient and slick. Thoroughly recommend this. Wish I had my 360 camera with a body or helmet mount. Wish we had more time to do the downhill mountain biking as well. Really enjoyable and would 100% recommend.

Nice facility, 4 good rinks, average but good change rooms, and fully accessible! The seating for the main rink is great, viewing for the other three is not ideal as you are just at one end and looking through netting. They have a nice cafe as well. I have been there for both para hockey and stand up (classic) hockey tournaments.

Go Carting is an amazing sport. Every time you visit there, you are always energized. AmaIng place and full of enjoyment.

First time is always a memorable and cherishing moment in life. I had my first ever ski lesson and introduction here. It was simply superb and awesome. I would never forget the day and things we learned and did there! ⛷️🎿 😊 The instructors were really helpful, willing to support and teach. Their passion for skiing motivated us! The equipment were great. They had a wide range of sizes of equipment and volunteers to help with anything. 😃 The weather that day was also great. A bit of sun, warmth, clouds, snow and great time 💕 Overall, would recommend anyone as a beginner to try out skiing or snowboarding here 👍

A great time!! Bought the 4 rides for the kids.... And then the wind picked up and then the rain. They shut down for the night after only 2 runs. They honored the last two runs the next day! They also offered a refund. Went back and they had so much fun! Would highly recommend. Well worth the price too.

Only recommended when you are a beginner and wanted to practice more without going to the mountains.Too crowded and is dangerous for people. Some rude people make it worse.

I was skiing with my two daughters and noticed an exceptional instructor leading a private lesson. I knew she would be a great fit for my two girls, so I booked a lesson with the request to have Catrina teach them. Thank you to the Snow School for accommodating my request! It was such a solid hour for them and they want to come back for another 2 hour lesson! Catrina is so good with little kids, she is engaging, fun and understands them. Catrina is the bees knees! She deserves a raise!!

I’ve come here for tubing on several occasions, each time I had a great experience. Fun for the whole family, couples or groups of all ages. The overall tubing experience is great, however I wish some of the staff were more friendly.

My friend won tickets to the Scotties and it was the first time at the Event Center. The VIP area is amazing and the food was great! And the staff was incredibly helpful. A great experience!

It is in the city and very convenient to assess from anywhere in a city of Calgary. It’s not difficult for beginners to learn and enjoy the ski, there are many funs for kids such as jumping, half-pipes and a tube park.

We have had the most wonderful experience here as part of the CADS program on sunday nights! The rental equipment is always clean and in exceptional shape. The learning hills have been great for my boys. Ive loved the whole experience.

It was pouring rain but people were out skiing, snowboarding and having a great time. Free parking is a plus. Nice facility.

One of the best architect in the city. The bridge has great views of downtown. A great place for walk and relaxation. They offer electric bike ride for reasonable price to explore the park and ride on bridge. Parking is available on the streets for easy access or dedicated spot is available 5min away from the bridge.

This is one of the interesting places in Calgary which you must visit during your stay. The bridge is beautiful both in the day time and at night with lights. Stunning view from the bridge to the river + great photos having the bridge on the background. There is tableaux with the historic note about the place. You can continue waking to the nearest parks beside.

Lovely in the evening. You get such a beautiful sunset over the water. We rented a few scooters and took the bike path all the way to the edge of downtown!! It surprisingly goes very far. It’s a sweet ride along the water.

Cool looking structure from the outside. However, at the time of our visit, the interior was under construction, so it was a bit of an eye sore. Definitely worth a stop to walk around and wander a bit soaking in the nice views around.

This is a nice area in the middle of bow river. The peace bridge has seen lots of issues in the past but now it’s restored again. There are usually lots of people when you cross the bridge towards downtown. Summer is great here too with musicians and ice cream trucks on the other side.

Whats to say it's a pretty snazzy looking bridge that people have mixed feeling about. Tho it's in a good area and perfect for getting across the water in and out of down town when you need to get in and out of downtown.

Peace Bridge is near Downtown in Calgary. Very nice structural design. Can walk, do cycling.Calm and beautiful place, can spend an hr/2 with family and friends. There is a garden near along with Bow river.

There are always events happening on weekends, and the walk along the river is beautiful. Have a walk or run along the river. There was a fold festival, a dog show on the day we visited.

Pedestrian Bridge with an interesting construction. At night nicely illuminated. To get a good view of the bridge climb up the wooden stairs to the Crescent heights.

a remarkable landmark in the heart of Calgary. available street parking which is 2hr located by the residential area in front of the Peace Bridge. Crowded however, best time to visit is during the slow time of the day where people are at work and kids are at school.

Beautiful red pedestrian bridge that crosses the Bow River. Makes for spectacular photos. Lovely wide paved and well lit walking paths on either side of bridge. Peace bridge is just west of Prince's Island Park.

It was a very short walk. They are doing construction on the bridge so I recommend for you to go when it is complete... right now It is not too cute.

After a long walk there, I found that the bridge was currently under refurbishment (Aug 2023). So it’s not beautiful at all. You may find railings on two side which blocks the scenery. You can still read the history and details of structure on the plates. They are explained in details. A lot of people at weekend. Many of them played electrical sccoters and bikes there.

Very cool piece of architecture! Was under construction during our visit,but was still fun to cross with great views of the city and Bow River below.

We had no chance to visit it at night , but even in the daytime, it cools nice. After crossing the bridge, there is a nice area where you can walk and enjoy the views.

Great views, lots of points for good photography and videography. You can take a walk, do ice skates in winters, enjoy in the park , enjoy the river and its activities. Lots of things to do or place to visit with your friends who are here on vaccation

Good walk on the bridge on a winter day. Flowing water below with the chunks of ice was wonderful to watch from above. The frozen overflow on the sides was the icing. We walked on the frozen water and saw kids ice skating there as well. Was a great walk around the area on a cold afternoon.

It's a bridge (nothing much to it) and you'll have to wait for the right moment to take your photo because people do use the bridge for crossing and there's a bike lane. It is a tourist attraction and a popular photoshoot spot for graduates. It's in downtown might as well go take a look :) on your way there you'll see Calgary Tower!
