A must see if you're in the area. Popular for Surfing 🏄‍♂️. Beautiful sandy walking beach. Change rooms and flush toilets in both parking lots. The north parking lot is very small, but the south lot has a lot more spaces. It's definitely a popular beach in the area. You could walk the beach for 2-3 hours.

We were here on a rainy day with very strong waves. It was almost deserted at 1pm, and all the more awesome for it!

Over 10KM of sand and waves, Long Beach is one of the longest beaches around, and I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to walk! I expected more logs and rocks, instead the beach was sandy - although unlike in more tropical climates this is wet sand packed tightly to the ground. Very windy but such a gorgeous beach!

It is a stark reminder of the often devastating impact of fire. Please be cautious when extinguishing flames and never leave campfires unattended, even after restrictions are lifted. Though fire incidents are negative aspects of life, they can allow regrowth and visiting parks can significantly improve your mood and help you connect with positive emotions. It can also assist in coping with challenging days and reconnecting with supportive individuals. The stunningly beautiful old-growth forests in Cathedral Grove are a testament to this.

On a warm summer day this is the place to relax, walk, hike, and play in the sand. Miles of sand beach that stretches at lease a few km. If you love surfing, this is the place. The pacific ocean is cold, so wear a wet suit. Usually, when the tides are low you can go out as far as your eyes can see.

The Pacific has never looked so beautiful! This is one of the nicest beaches I've ever seen. Worth a stop for sure!

We absolutely love Tofino and the Pacific Rim National Park! We vacation here yearly and got married here in 2016! This place is special.. it’s definitely my favourite place in Canada! It’s such a wild and unspoiled piece of paradise! A walk along Long beach is a must while visiting here! Watch for eagles flying above you 😍

This is a beautiful and awe inspiring walk. We did the A loop as the B loop was closed. The trail we walked on was all laid out with a beautiful wooden boardwalk with steps up and down the hills. So there are no muddy trails and it is an easy walk. The old growth forest is incredibly lush and you could see the new growth sprouting from fallen, old trees that had decayed and allowed the forest cycle to continue. Breath taking scenery!

Really enjoyed walking here. We did hiking along trail B. It's totally worth it and highly recommend. Its really nice walking through the lush rainforest and the path is on a raised wooden platform. Park pass can be purchased at the parking lot at Trail B.

Definitely worth doing if you’re visiting Tofino. We took our time on both trails, which made the stairs not seem like a burden on our way back up. Trail A took us about 35 minutes and Trail B 40 minutes, again walking pretty slow, and just over 1km for each trail.

We did loop B today. We moved quickly, so it took us only around 20-25 minutes. Absolutely gorgeous walk and we loved the signage throughout which included descriptions and information. Would have loved to stay for loop A, but had a tight timeline. Definitely worth the stop!

Breathtaking walk. There are two 1 KM Loops. Check out both. It is incredible to see how they’ve built such a sturdy and stable wooden boardwalk-like pathway throughout the rainforest. Photos can’t even capture the beauty of this trail.

Two easy loops with a bit over 1km each. Almost completely on wooden paths. Impressive rainforest 😍 definitely worth stopping! Parking is 21$ for a day pass (shortest option) and two adults. Guess that's needed with all the tourists in summer?

Nice walk We did Loop B then Loop A. We liked Loop B better. Took us 45-60 min per loop with stops. Park pass can be purchased at parking lot by cards ($10.50 per person per day at Pacific Rim NP).

I really loved this walk. I remember coming here as a kid with my sister, my grandpa, and my uncle. I don't remember much but oh boy is was it ever beautiful. If you are in the area, its totally worth it. Very highly recommended, don't forget your park pass! Enjoy the sights and sounds...take lots of pictures!

Exceptional walk in the rain forest. You’ll have 2 trails available (one on each side of the road, A and B). Parking is on the B side, which you’ll have to pay for (21$ for a group or 10$ per person). The all walks goes on wooden paths and is relatively easy. Some of the trees are gigantic.

This place is like a other world! Reminds me of New Zealand! So pretty, so fresh and peaceful! Be prepared for a lot of stairs. We'll maintain boardwalk throughout. We just hiked Trail B and it took about 45 minutes with stops.

This was so tranquil and beautiful! I went on a lovely morning and there was not another person around so I got to enjoy all of the nature and wonder to myself. I love that the trails are all walkways to not disturb the forest and living areas for all of the wildlife in the areas. Pristine and natural and allows you to immerse yourself in the environment.

Beautiful trail. It is one of the busiest trails in the area, but early morning before 8am it is deserted. Lush and old landscape, entirely on a deck platform. It took me about 25 minutes to complete trail B loop. Very easy, some stairs but nothing crazy. Dog friendly on leash. One of the highlight is the bridge made out of a huge tree trunk. Theres also a huge tree where you can picture yourself next to it.

Such a magical place, straight out of fern gully! Well worth the visit. Great info boards along the way.

1st off, dog friendly is always a win with me, but their atmosphere here is amazing. Wonderful friendly staff, beautiful setting and their beverages were delicious. The winner for me in my flight was the Cider but they were all tasty, I enjoyed them all.

Really cool place to come for my husband (who is a beer drinker) but not many non alcoholic options anymore. They used to have kombucha on tap but I guess that had to stop. My husband really enjoyed his flute of beers and picked some of the kelp and ethereal to take home! Not many snack options, come here for beer and nothing else!

Great little brewing company! Great selection of beers and snacks. I don’t normally like light beers but I was pleasantly surprised. Lots of seating in the front, inside and back. Great pit stop if you are biking along the new bike trails from Uclulet and Tofino. Staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. It’s a must do while you are visiting Tofino. If you are into the hardbar, the distillery is just next door.

A great place to relax and drink some amazing beer. Had been wanting to come for a while as it's one of mine and my mom's favorite breweries and it didn't disappoint. All the beer we tried was delicious. It was a great shelter on a rainy day to chat with some other traveller's, share some beer, and eat some amazing tacos from Tacofino. (Brewery itself doesn't have food but does have a great food truck in the lot outside, and allows you to bring in your own food!)

Very nice place to sit and have a beer. It is open and there is a covered garden with a food truck too. The pilsner was good. Highly recommended if you are in town. Check out their merch too pretty cool.

Great staff. Great brew choices. I really enjoy the spaced hazy IPA. And the ethereal IPA. Both are refreshing. BTW the tall cans Togo are like 5 bucks each.

Really wonderful staff. They’ve been so helpful every time I’ve visited with friends. Flights are the way to go if you’re showing off the joint. Love the aesthetic and merch design. Mandatory stop after the Cox Bay lookout mud hike. Can’t wait to come back again in the fall!

I recently visited your brewery with my boyfriend for the trivia night, and I wanted to share our experience, which unfortunately left us feeling quite disappointed. We arrived at 6:30 PM, excited to participate in the trivia scheduled to begin at 7 PM. The atmosphere in the brewery was vibrant, and the bartender was delightful. However, our evening took an unexpected turn when we were informed that the trivia was "sold out" due to a maximum limit of 13 teams. We were perplexed by this restriction, as most pub trivia events typically operate on a first-come, first-served basis without a team cap. When we inquired about the reason behind this limitation, we were met with a rather rude response from a staff member who simply stated that it was a "private event" and that's just how it is. Our intention in attending the trivia was to enjoy a relaxed and carefree evening, but the encounter left us feeling excluded and dissatisfied. We were even suggested to join another team, which didn't align with our desire to play as a duo and have a fun, independent experience. As patrons who came early and were eager to participate, it was disheartening to be turned away without a clear explanation or alternative solution. The feeling that this may have been a tactic to prioritize larger groups for increased beverage sales further added to our disappointment. In the end, we finished our beers and observed the trivia from a distance, which only served to accentuate our sense of exclusion. We believe that such limitations on a recreational activity like trivia night contradict the laid-back and inclusive image we had of Tofino Brewing Company. I share this feedback with the hope that it contributes to a better understanding of the customer experience. We genuinely appreciate the aspects of your brewery that we did enjoy, and we believe that addressing concerns like these can help create an even more positive environment for all patrons.

This is definitely a 'must do' if you are ever passing through Tofino. Amazing brewery with super authentic staff and a surf-style atmosphere. Had a couple flights with friends and really didn't want to leave.

We’ve been to Tofino Brewing a couple times and always enjoy the vibe and character of the space. The food portions are a little small but they’re suitable for snacking with a couple people too. We’ll be back!

What a great little place to unwind and just relax after a day on the water catching waves, builds up a nice thirst that you can quench right here. A variety of different options for your pallet. I was even able to take my 10yr old daughter inside too which was very cool. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about their products. If you are a beer person you should definitely stop in and try a few. Very clean and well lit as well as a little patio out front and back. Took my friend from Toronto who was visiting and he really enjoyed the variety.

Such a cool, chill place to have some drinks and food (food truck). We come to Tofino regularly, and this is our first time coming here, and we will continue to come here! Service was great, beer is great, everything was great! Road our bikes here from Wickaninnish inn, maybe 10 min ride. Highly recommend heading here for some drinks! Love it!!

It’s a nice little walk but for 30.00 per adult in peak summer it’s a bit much. I paid 20.00 and thought it was too much. Cool huts, not a lot of variety in foliage that you won’t see in many hikes around Tofino. Just ok.

Wow! This is an amazing space with knowledgeable, friendly staff! The gardens are so beautiful! The staff were helpful, communicative, and professional, while offering a warm, welcoming environment. We had a hot cup of tea and checked out the gardens and local art as recommended by the lovely barista. The totem poles are truly amazing and the barista gave us some local background knowledge. I will visit this spot every time I am on the coast!

Truly a gem of Tofino. Largely a naturalized area, this garden's features include beachfront, shelters, sculpture(s), farm, children's area cafe and gift shop. Admission was a reasonable price, the entire garden could have been toured in about an hour and a half, or, quite easily, all day. Sun protection and hiking or comfortable shoes are definitely an asset for touring the grounds. There are sections that are protected and accessed by boardwalk and paths and other areas that are open and invite exploration. The children's area was definitely constructed to be a little people's world, and some parts might not be accessible by some parents. Overall a great place to tour, I wish I could go back

Unique garden . I loved the most are water lilies & lotus flower .Beautiful garden with local unique art. I loved the Hobbit house beautifully craftmanship.

My husband and I enjoyed exploring all of the nooks and crannies of the garden today! So beautiful and lush on this August day! We appreciate the care and creativity that has been given to this space that melds beautifully with the many natural wonders! We ended our time there with drinks and treats from the restaurant on the porch! A delightful morning 😀

This place is underrated in Tofino! Do check it out if you happen to visit Tofino! Has tons of sculptures and wooden structures that are works of art! I do recommend taking all the trails inside the garden as each has it’s own unique vibe! Used to have tons of animals including Alligators but haven’t seen one recently.

Tatt made such an impression on us during our honeymoon in Tofino. Not only is he the garden attendant at the botanical gardens, but he also repairs the boardwalk on the Big Tree Trail on Meares Island! He was so nice to chat with and it’s very obvious he’s passionate about his vital roles in Tofino. The botanical garden is stunning. The new totem pole is beautiful and walking through the garden to the water is so peaceful. Loved it. Can’t wait to go back!

Such a lovely peaceful spot in Tofino! The gardens were beautiful, the view was amazing, and the sculptures were a really fun addition to the experience. The staff were all so kind and welcoming as well, and I had the pleasure of talking to Carl who was in the process of sanding the most incredible canoe. Looking forward to coming back!

This place is so beautiful. Lots of pretty flowers and plants and has a nice trail leading to the beach. There are also chickens running around. The kids have a great time here. This is a must come place if you are ever in the area.

it is not a botanical garden anymore and it is outrageous to charge $30 to enter. everything is left to neglect and filth, this place hasn't seen a gardener in years. there are many botanical tags from the past under dead trees, and what remains of the paths and wooden structures is in very poor condition. a real shame because this was a very beautiful and well-kept garden.

Visiting the garden on an unexpectedly sunny day was the best decision we'd made all week. While the formal garden near the cafe and entrance was pretty standard, it was the Children's Garden that gave us an idea if what the rest of the garden had in store. The Children's Garden was wild and very natural; hidden little paths though the roots and fern filled underlayer of the forest that were a perfect place for imaginary play. Granted, I was too big to crawl all the way into that jungle, but it was a hoot to try. The walking path beyond the fantasy-esque gazebo was the real treasure of the Gardens. Amazing views of the mud flats, twisty paths through the rain drenched foliage, boardwalks into the trees, interersting art installations, and places to learn about the First Nation people. I love to see wildly beautiful nature from a safe path. We were lucky enough to visit while artists were working on some wooden wolf figurines. It was amazing to see their work! They stopped to chat and tell us about the poles they were working on.

Had been meaning to visit for years now. Wish I had gone sooner! Beautiful walk through traditional botanical gardens and Oceanside forests. Tons of labelled vegetation. Some very interesting art installations throughout the property. PLUS your tickets are good for a few days, so you can come back for a second wander around the property while you're in town.

Wish we had more time to explore. The trails leading from here were pretty easy to do with kids and one had a beautiful viewpoint of mud flats. One of my highlights of my visit to Tofino!

Wonderful place to explore. So much fun watching all the chickens and roosters run around freely, while dining on amazing hummus and crostini listening to beautiful classical music playing in the background. Wonderful easy and mostly accessible hikes, strolls , and educational with 1st Nation indtallments along the way. Something for everyone at this magical place. Kudos to the staff as well.

Radar Hill is a short, easy walk up a wide, paved walkway (great for wheel chairs, too) to the hilltop site of a Cold War-era radar station, long since demolished. Only a concrete slab and some markers remain. The walking distance is about 100 meters or 109 yards each way. Thoughtfully, they have added a partially covered wood deck with benches and the iconic two (2) red chairs so you can rest your feet and enjoy the breezy views of forests and mountains in the distance. Lots of parking available at the foot of the walkway.

Excellent and easy to navigate viewpoint. Good for all mobility ranges (even wheel chair accessable). Gives a good view of the area.

a nice little hike for young and old. caution, it can be quite windy.

The first parking lot (closer to the plane crash site) was full, but we drove further up to the second parking lot which was more uphill, and it’s a very short hike up to see Radar Hill and the view atop. Keep in mind it’s more mountain and forest view, still lovely but not much ocean. More incline and less stairs, there are a few seating areas at the top.

Makes for a good stop along Pacific Rim National Park. Good views of Long Beach and towards Ucluelet one way, and up the cost to Tofino in the other direction. Includes the moving Kap'yong Memorial.

It is a short and sweet heaven. The short Trail leading to the beach got me all chills.

Amazing place. 2 google map location. Read more> 1. The park has three beaches and three trail connecting with each other. 2. This specific pointer is closest to the beach. (Max 5 min walk) 3. Remember the point from where you step in the beach after the stairs. We forgot and had to walk 20 mins to go back to our parked car! This beach is absolutely marvellous! A gem in Tofino! It does not have high wave like long beach/chesterman beach but you surely should not or ‘must not’ miss this point! Its heaven on the earth! There is a flash toilet with sink at the parking lot of this point. Limited car parking (6-10) available. But you can park on the side of the road! Happy journey! Great place to visit, totally relaxing. Sound of waves, shaded little coves, plenty of fine sand. This place is a hidden gem in Tofino. Boardwalk down to the beach, free parking for 8hrs. Bring some favourite fluid, hide in the shade and join in the tranquility of the place. Lots of white sand, beware of undertow while in the ocean, but enjoy this little paradise while you can.

Love this beach, great sunsets and surf. Very nice place to relax just outside of Tofino. We parked near Long Beach Report and just walked through the property without any issues. Not sure if they enforce parking more now this was a few years ago. Definitely a must see on the west coast of Vancouver Island!

One of the top beaches in the area. Excellent for beginner surfers. Great for walking the beach. The wind can be cool. About a 5-10 min walk from the paid parking lot. Outhouses.

An amazing beach! There are better beaches to learn how to surf, tricky to get out past the break. But for hanging out, playing with your dog or family, this is a great choice.

Cox Bay Beach is located on the southern edge of Tofino and is certainly a draw for surfing , beach walking , and photography..the white sandy beaches look out to the Pacific Ocean..there are sections of the beach with quite a number of driftwood logs that certainly attract a tourist’s attention…we picnic and enjoy the wide variety of activities..I particularly enjoy to photograph large crashing waves with a strong energy present when large waves hit their height and then come down with a crushing visual roar…

Stunning beach! This one is lovely to walk along the beach then go to either cox bay viewpoint on one side or the boardwalk trail on the other for some nice views of the bay.

This is such a special beach. We went to watch the sunset one night and to surf. Perfection! Be prepared to walk about 1.5km to the beach. 🤙🏄‍♀️

This is the place to watch the sunset. I've heard that the Cox Bay lookout you can find by hiking up all the way from the entrance on the right hand side on the beach (when facing the ocean) is magnificent as well!

Visited in August, great beach. We also did the Cox Bay lookout trail located at the far end of the beach. Well worth it going up.

Beautiful walk along the beach and then jiked up to Cox Bay lookout. Check alltrails for the location of the trailhead. It's a good one. Recommend waterproof hiking boots.

The water is cold, super cold !!! Very different from long beach where in the waves take away the sand with the tides, you seem to sink in if you’re in the same spot for long :) Saw some folks making wonderful Time-lapses because it does give you a beautiful sunset to look at as you climb the nice rocky surfaces for a somewhat aerial view :) recommended ! Will definitely visit again when we visit Tofino !!

I visit this gallery every time I come to Tofino. The building itself is interesting and welcoming. Vickers' art is stunning, poetic, graphic, colourful and full of live. New frames are added from time to time so you might discover a new piece even if you visited during previous vacations. A must see!

My friends took me to see this special gallery on October 22, 2019. I believe I see the fusion between modern art and traditional cultural expression. Quite a rarity tourist visiting spot in Tofino.

Beautiful spot to stop by. Smell the cedar as you walk in, and enjoy the quiet as you look at the artists distinctive style. We liked it so much we bought a reproduction for our home. I recommend you check it out.

We own so much of Roy Henry Vickers art. Each time we visit Tofino, we buy more. I wish we lived closer.

It was an amazing experience, you need gum boots , it is muddy trail. You will see thousands years old trees !

First understand that if you venture past the end of the boardwalk the trail is long and difficult under the best of conditions. Many, many fallen trees to climb over or under. LOTS of muddy ground to get mired in and around. You MUST wear boots. That said, it’s one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been to. An out and back walk along the boardwalk will do just fine to see what you need to see.

Great trail. It’s a loop that includes boardwalk and trails. The second half can be muddy so be prepared, although it wasn’t too bad for us in second week of September. Do the loop, you won’t be disappointed. Elevation gains are minimal. You will need to climb over/through/under trees. Ferry service is quick, friendly and efficient. Nice way to get on the water for a quick trip to/from the trail.

Great hike 10 mins from Tofino. We took the Tofino Water taxi over and back. As someone who does not do well on boats it was a quick ride over with only 1 or 2 bumps along the way. The cedar planks are awesome but very uneven. So make sure to wear good shoes! We took our time and tried to take in all the awesomeness around us. Took less than an hour on the boardwalk trail. Definitely a great hike! Next time we will make sure to do the entire hike!

Like stepping into a time capsule. So quite and a great place for chill appreciation of nature. Very lush and the giant trees are a real delight. Be careful as the boardwalk is made of organic wood planks with all their natural, original curves and some parts haven't been maintained as well as others.

We loved the walk here. We Kayaked over and had the place to ourselves. The trees are huge and it feels like a very special place. Hats off to those who demonstrated so hard in the ‘90s to stop it being logged. They have left a wonderful legacy for the rest of us to enjoy.

Nice easy hike. Virtually any fitness level could easily make it around the short trail which would take you to the tree of life. Not a lot of uphill or downhill. Boardwalk trail is a little uneven and a bit slick but otherwise good. Absolutely gorgeous! A must see for sure.

If you're fine on uneven ground its a fantastic little walk only 25 mins one way. Dog friendly just keep a close eye on them if you decide to let them off leash.

Unfortunately Lone Cone Mountain campground did not live up to our expectations and offers low value for the, so far, highest price we payed for a campsite in BC. by a factor 3. True, the place is beautiful and the beach very nice. Staff is friendly too but.... be aware of hidden extra costs. We were told that a 75$ host site would accommodate the 4 of us and our 2 tents. Upon arrival an extra 25$ was charged for the second tent. Also they advertise with a free water taxi that is included in the price. What they don't mention is that an extra ride for a day visit to Tofino is another 60$ for the 4 of us. Finally Lone Cone advertises with nice communal fireplaces and quite hours after 10pm. Yes and no, nice but be prepared for loud talking deep into the night. My advice to improve service: be completely open about costs and deliver value for money. And please enforce quite hours or reallocate the communal fireplaces away from the campsites.

During this time of the year if you find a spot on a campground in tofino it costs at least 50$. We wanted to do the lone cone hike but it would have cost $40 a person to take the water cab. So we stayed at the campsite for $55 for two people together which includes the ride with the cab. The campground is beautiful set up. The showers are warm and working well. The kitchen has everything you need and enough space to storage all the food. The whirlpool at the end of the day was the highlight and the newly finished cedar room where you an play ping pong pool or board games smells wonderful. The beach access is right next to the campground and the staff super nice. Great experience. We loved it!

We stayed in a private room for 2 nights. The island is beautiful, the staff are extremely friendly (we were hosted by Troy) and the boat ride there was a lot of fun. We did the hike (pretty difficult) which had one of the most amazing views I've ever seen. They have cheap kayak and paddleboard rentals there but we were too tired from the hike to take advantage. The showers and washrooms are nice and clean, but outside in a separate building. The kitchen was big and well equipped but can get very busy at particular times. There's a big games room for relaxing in the evening or on a rainy day. They've got ping pong, pool and movies.

This is one of the best hikes I have ever made. A beautiful, quiet place. You walk either through thick forest or over sand beaches.

Breathtaking trail. Make sure to leave enough time to hang out at cow bay if you're doing this as a day trip. Plenty of beach and forest trails. One of my favourite trails to date. I've been aching to go back and camp a few days at cow bay.

It's a trail to the ocean! Nice beach, a little overgrown.
