Note that most of the tours are in French, and English tours are not always offered - you could check the website for the timing and availability. There were only French tours when I visited so I took that; however, it turned out that the guide we had talked so quickly that I could barely understand him (maybe only 10%). In comparison, I listened to the French audio-guide at the nearby Museé Borealis and I understood about 70%, and there were even a few times on the prison tour when we passed by other groups and the other guides clearly spoke at a slower pace. I asked our guide if he could speak slower and he did for a few sentences before picking up the pace again (I do understand that without conscious effort it is hard to change your speaking speed). Additionally, our guide spoke as if he were reciting, which felt a bit robotic, and always delivered a long speech at one or two stops per floor before giving us a long-ish time to explore around. It would have been much nicer if he talked like telling us a story, and made more stops in different rooms with shorter explanations each. Overall, I would love to visit again and perhaps try a different guide in French, and I hope the administration would take note of these suggestions.

Great atmosphere, very impressive!

Very peaceful place to walk, the river view is amazing and the church building is gorgeous. There is a free parking and even nit was a Sunday after Canada's day holiday I could find a spot. There is also a canteen in the main building that you can buy hot meals and coffee. I would definitely recommend a visit.

Nice church and my wife's most of the prayers 🙏 were answered. My brother in law's sickness was cured after he visited the church. It's a miracle.

It was 4:40pm when I got there so I didn't get to visit the museum and gift shop, and there was Sunday mass at the time so I didn't fully walk around and explore the interior, but even standing at the back, I was in awe at the interior. It was closed due to the Covid 19. But The place around it was really beautiful. You can see the river from there. Beside the Borealis there was an Amphitheater. Not a big museum but it is fascinating, unique, well laid-out and well worth visiting! The scaled-down paper-making machine is so intricate and a sight to behold, and something that you could rarely see anywhere else (unless you work at such a factory)! The exhibits overall had great and clear explanations, and I learned so much about Trois-Rivières's industrial heritage (it was once the most densely populated city in Québec!). But now, the city's historical importance is not well known, so I would highly recommend visiting the museum. Some other highlights include the corridor leading out to the rivers, which has a preserved water filtration facility and great views; the underground exhibition area where you could see the water filtration machines and even try your hands on pumping water to filter it; and, of course, the former underground reservoir. It is preserved such that there are still water drops/puddles on the ground, and it was just such a unique experience to walk through it. I would highly recommend spending a few bucks to buy the booklet "Premier « shift »" at the gift shop. It is bilingual, well made and a perfect souvenir on the bygone CIP (Canadian International Paper) days of the city and a great tribute to the people. Also, admission was free the day I visited; I'm not sure whether that was a one-time offering or a regular occurence. Worth asking about.

We learned a lot about the logging and papermill industry and how it shaped Trois Rivieres. The landscape went from farming to multi-story walk-up apartments. It's a really interesting tour and you have a chance to make paper!

Great museum experience! We took an audio tour in English and it is the perfect balance of information, interaction, and visual exhibits. The architecture of the biding itself is fantastic and the remaining industrial relics are compelling. It is a great hertigage museum which to engage adults in the tour. Wonderful way to spend a couple hours a day well worth the price of admission which was very inexpensive. There are also pic is tables outside and the area is part of a river park.

$11 for two people and all day parking. Check in staff was super polite, there’s music & beach volleyball, a nice 3km hike all around gorgeous scenery. Highly recommended!

What a privilege to have such a lovely place to stroll about in nature. The birds come and eat right in our hand. It's especially great to see nature waking up for spring regrowth. Go now while it's all free before you have to pay at the end of April!

Great park with nice wood boardwalk.

You have to pay to get in. When we went they told us not to swim in the river because of E. Coli. However, you can still walk around the boardwalk. There's not actually that much to see, but you can feed the squirrels if you want; they'll eat right out of your hand. There's also a small pool and a really large playground for kids. And you can also go see the marina. It's a nice place to take it easy and relax.

Pretty cool museum in Trois rivières about La Forgerie Saint Maurice. Super interactive museum for the kids and beautiful groomed grounds. Staff super friendly and answered most of our questions. And some pretty cool remnants from the past.

Found out about this site while visiting La Mauricie National Park nearby. I am happy this site is here as it brought us to Trois-Rivieres, a place we would not have visited otherwise. The site is worthy of a visit between 1-2 hours. The most interesting part was a stroll along the stream and down towards the large river where the Devils Flame can be found

This NP was so much more than I expected. It was an old iron forge. The oldest in Canada as a matter of fact. It played an integral role in industrialization of upper Canada and the Northeastern US. The VC was much larger and more involved than most vc's we've been to. You need to allow yourself at least a couple hours here to see it all. The kids really liked it . The video was a little lengthy and more dramatic than necessary.

Such a great stop on the way from Montreal to Quebec city. Not far from hwy 40. Some unique interactive activities and super nice and knowledgeable staff. The grounds kept in great shape.

The museum has rich details and information about the people who used to live there centuries ago from the French, British and Canadian colony/era. There are as well picnic tables, hiking trails(45 mins walk) to enjoy. And there is also the Fred Pellerin audio guide which is available for 11$ (Only in french!). When I always have a tour in Park Canada's historic sites I am always amazed by my tour guides as they teach me new stuff. However, on the 02/10/2021 at 2:10 pm, I felt that the visit was instead a question period instead of a tour guide. Instead of teaching us new stuff, our guide gave us 10 minutes to explore the room. At the end of the 10 mins, if no questions were asked, we changed room. However, I must admit that at the end (maquette room) He gave us a little bit of information after the video. However, I do believe that the video gave us more information than the tour guide that I had on this day. In the end, it was probably the tour guy that was not entertaining that day. I am willing to come back and have another tour. I would then give it a 4 stars review if things will be different from my previous tour. Still, the museum is still worth to learn new stuff about Canada's history. Give it a try!:)

Amazing opportunity to learn about start of the steel & iron industry in Canada. Canada parks pass is valid here and youth are free. Expect to spend at least 2-3 hours here to experience everything.

Enjoyed the morning walk along the water front of this Quebec town. Drove from Montreal to Quebec. The drive along provincial hwy 138 through rural Quebec is something road trekkers need to do especially in fall season.

Excellent parc with lots of different play structures for different ages of children. Tennis courts and basketball fields, and nice paths to stroll on. Plenty of benches and public restrooms available too.

Good place to relax, do some gym, there is a place for kids too and you can watch soccer ⚽ and baseball ⚾ games.

For an historical landmark such as this one built in 1765, the building is incredibly well kept with landscape that welcomes. This mill is one of the very few left that has functioning mechanisms. All around, a very pleasant and educational visit. Note: very little parking spots available.

We went on the 1st Sunday of the month so entry was free and hence we missed out on the guided tour. There is a lot of interesting stories and information available but having a guide would have bettered the experience. The property and park around is well maintained, mostly quiet and nice to spend some time walking around.

Such a pretty place with interesting interpretive signs (check out the "Poetry Trail") and a series of short trails. It was off season, so the visitors center wasn't open - but we'll definitely return for a picnic in the spring!

Came here for a baseball game for the fun of it. Cheapest tickets were $16 CAD including tax. Tonight they had a beer special for 4 beers for 20 CAD (23 after Tax) which was amazing! Food was pretty cheap too. You can get hotdogs for like 2.50CAD each. Weather was bad, so there was a bit of a delay. Game was fun, as it was high scoring.
