Butterfly conservation park in Cambridge is an escape to tropical environment. They have a variety of botanical specimens which grow in Asia and South America. They have a huge collection of butterflies which are incubated and maintained in a perfect setting. There is a man-made waterfall with fishes and turtles. The staff walks around with caterpillars and rare species explaining it to visitors. The kids had a blast with butterflies landing on them and playing with them. There is an exhibition outside the controlled environment. It showcases spiders, scorpions, poisonous frogs, beetles and worms. The cafeteria at the side has a patio and has basic sandwiches, hot and cold beverages. They have enough parking space. Tickets are 20$ for 13-65 yrs, free for <2 yrs, 15$ for seniors. Overall 4.8/5. It is a great place for Wedding or event photography.

Another amazing attraction in the region of Waterloo. The kids will love it there. This place is magical with beautiful butterflies and birds who happen to be friendly and might sit on you to catch their breath. The staff is very knowledgeable and you will learn so much about these beautiful creatures and more. How can we not talk about Instagram worthiness. You are going to get amazing pics for the gram if you know your angles.

Loved the initiative taken here. I loved all the blue butterflies and the way these butterflies are left soo free. It's a good place to visit even if you are an adult like me. I saw kids enjoying the large variety of butterflies and insects and I was mesmerized how they could recognize the insects.

This place is smaller than the Niagara one. The staff was super friendly and polite, with a wedding going on the cafe was closed but the staff will still get you some things like drinks and snacks. The gift shop ladies were awesome. Thank you to the two ladies in the gift shop, I really needed that water after how hot it was inside with the butterflies Birds and insects. My Date and I came here for our second date. this was a great idea, we had fun and took a lot of pictures. I'll upload them for the public to view. although hot, the butterflies were still landing on us and showing us some love, it was an enjoyable experience. I would recommend everyone to come here. butterflies are very transformational beings, when they land on you they are letting you know change is coming for you. the kind of change for some that changes their lives forever. In shamanic traditions butterflies tell us change is around the corner. be prepared and allow these changes to open us up to the new and sometimes challenging experiences. Visit this place! it's worth it.

Felt like being in a Disney movie. My husband and I enjoyed the conservatory. Lots of butterflies everywhere you look. The hatching section was quite interesting. Saturday was busy. Buy tickets ahead time. The conservatory is warm and humid. There are places to sit and a play area outside for kids. Butterflies appeared to land on people in greens and browns, perhaps thinking they were plants.

Great place to bring the family. Wear something bright to attract the butterflies on you! Kids will love this place!! Cool displays of bugs and a small gift shop. Not sure if the cafe is open yet, but the family had lots of fun! Roughly takes about an hour to go through the whole place.

Lovely place to spend a relaxed couple of hours. It has some great “walls” for photographs . Just to walk around and be surrounded by flashes of brilliant jewel colours is like a painting come alive. The rooms with the glass cases have all sorts of creepy crawlies and very much alive! Endless variety of mounted butterflies and a wealth of information. It was our first time here and we had a wonderful time and a very enjoyable afternoon. There was a wedding event taking place that day so the Cafe was booked, and we didn’t get to try anything there. There is also the customary gift shop . Definitely worth it.

A beautiful place 🦋 A great selection of birds, butterflies and other creatures! There's a free-fly room where you can watch the butterflies and birds fly around! During hatching season you can watch butterflies emerge from there cocoons. There are also other rooms with with terrariums with frogs, beetles, scorpions, and tarantulas! 🐸🪲🦂 A great place for a date day!

This is one of my favorite places, and I would highly recommend stopping by and having a ton of fun. My wife and I stop here every time we come this way, and we always leave happy. I thought I was afraid of some of the insets 🐛 they have there, but the girl that was bringing them around to people was awesome, so we tried it out. We loved it! Give it a try 💯.

First visited ten years ago and have been waiting to visit again. It is truly a magical feeling. The butterflies are in good condition. The staff were so warm and polite. The conservatory where the butterflies are is quite humid and hot (especially after a hour). Best to dress in layers. Also noticed some butterflies rest on the ground, so I was careful not to step on them. The cafe there was the perfect spot to rest and chat before going back in to check out the butterflies and birds again!

I had a beautiful visit with my Grandmother. She and I were both delighted to learn about different insects, spiders and more. The atmosphere was so serene and tranquil. They have many different plant types which are very cool to look at on their own. It was one of the most breathtaking experiences that I've had. If you are looking to be filled with unmistakable, unquestionable happiness, this is the place to come. Sitting down on a bench with a loved one and watching hundreds of butterflies effortlessly glide through the air is an experience that I will treasure forever.

If you want to experience a tropical forest filled with butterflies 🦋 just go there . Plenty of them🦋 🦋. Watch your every step when you are walking,or else you are gonna hurt them . The waterfall ,even though it's a small one ,the mind cleansing vocal of flowing water gets you somewhere else . Highly recommended to visit there especially for kids . 🦋Better to take tickets 🎫 online, usually with time slot.since there is no guarantee of offline tickets. Note for South Indians: if you miss the home ambiance, just go there . You can see your garden and neighborhood plants there .

Took the girlfriend and her boys for Mothers day. I highly recommend pre purchasing your tickets online. We did and I'm glad we did. They were sold out. Long story short check the place out. Worth every penny. Clean, friendly staff and lots to see. Thank you for a memorable experience.

It's a very nice place to spend a couple of hours of quality time with family and friends. The facility has two sections. One section has few exhibits in the glass enclosures and another section has a tropical garden with all the live butterflies flying around. It also has a few very cool birds. Overall it was a very good experience.

This is a must see attraction if you are in the area. The butterflies fly around so freely and their enclosure is well-maintained. There are several things to see before you enter the butterfly area, such as looking at real life blue lobsters or tarantulas. You can also learn about the different types of moths and butterflies. Really cool place!

A beautiful experience for the family, or for a date. You walk into the conservation area, and you are immediately welcomed by butterflies. Tons of different kinds, if you are lucky, they will land on you. They have little birds as well as turtles you can see. It was an unexpected but amazing find.

An Absolutely fabulous way to spend a day! We got tickets for our family as part of a Christmas present and spent the afternoon at the conservatory. Buying the tickets in advance online was a breeze and the admission process was very quick and easy. Walking through the main part of the conservatory is breath taking the different flowers and butterflies make for a very colourful walk through their man-made forest. We went with our 2 year old and he was fascinated by the different butterflies. When we was getting bored of the butterflies there is a lovely jungle-gym and play area behind the cafe which we used to full effect! I would absolutely recommend taking the whole family to this wonderful attraction!

We visited the Butterfly Conservatory on a Saturday afternoon and had a great time. We did book tickets in advance to ensure we could get our time slot but we were a bit early which wasn’t a problem. There is ample parking adjacent to the building including plenty of handicapped parking spots. Not only does the butterfly conservatory offer a chance to see some beautiful butterflies, it also features many different plants, insects and frogs. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly, and even provided us the opportunity to hold a millipede and a female Jungle Nymph. This was an educational experience that would be great for the whole family. I highly recommend checking it out.

Very nice place for all to spend the day. Feeling like in the wonderland with hundreds of blue butterfly 🦋 morpho, owl butterfly 🦋, rice paper, Asian swallow-tailed, so many kinds flying around and some landed on us. Spent three hours and wished we could stay longer. Must purchase tickets in advance.

It is always fun to go to the butterfly conservatory! It is very humid so dress accordingly. We went on a nice sunny day and the butterflies were very active. There were a lot of people and it felt quite crowded, but that's to be expected on a nice weekend day. I would still recommend going! Everyone is so professional and kind and it is a great experience for all ages.

Great educational place for kids! A fun place to experience for “kids” of every age. Lots of butterflies, different birds and turtles inside the conservatory itself with a couple rooms outside with bugs and spider etc for kids to learn about. A small cafe inside the building with a seating area and playground outside.

We brought the family to see the Magical Morphos during March Break. This was our first visit and an incredible experience for all of us (ages 6-60). With a variety of exhibits and friendly, informative staff, the visit offered SO much more than we expected. Fantastic experience for all ages, highly recommend.

We had a wonderful time at the Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory! The butterflies were absolutely majestic and it was nice to sit and let them come to you. The live insects were pretty cool as well. We had lunch at the cafe and the food was amazing. The cafe staff were awesomely friendly and quick.

It was a very relaxing afternoon in a tropical atmosphere. The blue morpho butterflies flitted all over the place, landing on our heads and shoulders. It's not only butterflies here, though. We saw some small birds, ants, a parakeet or something in the parrot family, goldfish, and two turtles. It wasn't too full of people. We were there right over the lunch hour. Everyone was so calm it was okay to see them enjoying this bit of paradise. If you have time, a must see is the hatching. If you're patient you might see a butterfly ease out of its cage and stretch out its wings to dry. I was pleased to have a butterfly land on my finger and rest there for a while. They are such dainty creatures with funny feeling feet. Truly a miracle not made by man!

I recently visited the Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory with my family and friends , and it was a nice experience. The cost was okay, and you can easily spend 2 to 3 hours there. I recommend going with a group for more fun, especially if you have kids—they'll enjoy it. Inside, it's warm, and they've created a kind of artificial tropical weather with many exotic plants from India. There are lots of different butterflies flying around, and they might even land on you if you wear bright colors. Besides butterflies, you can also see other insects in exhibition rooms. There's plenty of parking available too. I highly recommend this place, especially during winter; it's one of the rare places where you can see trees and butterflies during the colder months. Kids playing area is not open during winter.

Love this place! My boyfriend and I went here for a date and we both loved it. So many butterflies, insects, there were even birds and reptiles. So many preserved moths and butterflies. We got to pet a hissing cockroach. Definitely a good place for a cute date activity!

Such a fun experience! My kids are 8&7 and they absolutely loved it. The butterfly's are just free flying around the whole room. We were a little scared we would step on a butterfly at times because there were so many and a lot of people walking inside where the butterflys were housed. This was a unique experience and I highly recommend for children and adults

Enchanting place to spend a day at, for both children and adults 🦋 You can spend around 2.5 hours visiting the butterfly conservatory, the insect museums and live bugs. It is best to buy tickets in advance on the website. It is very warm inside the conservatory (24°C to 28°C) so it is recommended to dress in layers and wear light clothing as they also have a coat/jacket room to store your winter clothing. The café area is spacious and the gift shop is pretty cool also.

Fantastic little getaway immersed with nature and beautiful creatures no matter what time of year! Slightly pricey but I feel it is worth it especially if you truly appreciate what a marvel nature is. I encourage everyone to take the time to learn about a butterfly's life cycle, have a seat and make a checklist of all the different varieties you see and ALWAYS share your experience!!! Get as many people on the butterfly train as we can! Please be mindful where you walk while in the sanctuary as many butterflies take their rest times on the ground

Incredible performance. We saw, "FIDLER ON THE LOOSE ". Amazing multitalented group of folks. Singing, dancing, tap dancing, and lots of fiddle music. I would highly recommend the production

It was wonderful watching the Jersey Boys. The staff were friendly and helpful as we had a bus load unloading all at once. I could watch the whole show as the seats are slanted, each row lower than the next one. The sound was sharp and clear. A bit of a wait for the washrooms but they were clean. The building is beautiful.

Facility is modern and well equipped. Seats were pretty comfortable, acoustics seem good, at least the sound seemed great. They permitted us to take intermission drinks back to our seats which was nice. The production we saw was live musicians and vocalists. The act was very professional and well executed. Great intimate venue to see a musical production, play or live band.

This was my first visit to the HFT. My children and I saw the Sound of Music which is a family favourite of ours. Great performances by all, especially Maria, the Captain and children. The group singing of the actresses playing nuns was especially moving as they sang so well together. The performance of Climb Every Mountain by the actress who played the Reverend Mother was especially wonderful. When she hit the high note at the end I got teary eyed. Intermission was a bit rushed due to washroom lineup. Lineup for refreshments was also long though we didn't partake. All seats in the theatre seem to have a good view of the stage. Theatre was clean. Staff were pleasant. Will definitely come again.

The show itself was excellent (kinky boots). The theater however was ice cold and you could feel A/C blowing on you. People had jackets on, many just froze. The rows of seating were so close together that average sized people could not get by each other. I'm 5'2 and had JUST enough room for my knees. They need to have ropes to organize the concession stand lines. There was a large line that divided the room in half, blocking access to the bathrooms for those on the opposite side. Production was great.

Loved it ! Evita was absolutely flawless and a real delight to experience. We were in the balcony with a perfect view of the stage, dancing and wonderful singing from the lead actors and chorus. What a great adaptation of this play. Not even one mistake during the entire performance and not that we would likely notice anyway. Bravo to Drayton’s rendition of Evita !

This theater is super comfortable, clean and very stylish. Staff are all extremely friendly and helpful. They have a nice confession stand to get snacks as well. The play was phenomenal, all around a magical night!

It's great to be back! I took my in-laws for Christmas and they really enjoyed it. I'm a fan of the new 30 and under pricing strategy as I will be able to attend more shows this year. I was especially fond of the violin! Very talented. Keep up the great work everyone.

The volunteers and staff are friendly and helpful. The theatre is clean, comfortable and well appointed. We have never seen a bad performance there. It's also nice to be able to reserve your drinks ahead of time.

The Sound Of Muisic has been my favorite production thus far at the theater! The crew was amazing and put a good twist on the classic show while touching on all the key scenes! A standing ovation!!! It was truly a masterpiece!!! BRAVO!!! Phenomenal singing!

Lovely theatre but not particularly disabled friendly: far too few handicapped parking spaces and if you use a rollator or wheelchair, seating is limited to the back rows or the side boxes - the main theater has steps down to the stage from the back rows.

Have been to many performances at this venue and I must say every one has been top notch! There isn't a bad seat in the house and the acoustics are great

Great concert! Awesome lead singer as commentator. Sound system balance was a bit off unfortunately. could not hear the brass so well ate times and sometimes the lyrics were overpowered by the instrumental volume.COULDNT always hear the words. fun enthusiastic crowd.a colourful show!

We saw "Beautiful", the musical about Carol King's life. Gorgeous venue, escorted quickly and efficiently to our seats. Wonderful experience.

Brought by kids and husband to experience Fidler on the Roof Dec 23rd. The volunteers that greeted us were warm, friendly and clearly happy to be there. 5 stars for that alone! The foyer was large and well lit with plenty of seating. We arrived early from out of town and were able to sit together while waiting. Getting seated in the theatre was quick and well orchestrated by the volunteers/staff. Sound quality throughout the show was perfect. We'll be happy to return in the future to catch another marvelous production!!

Beautiful facility but freezing cold in the middle of winter (December 10 2023) Even the two larger woman and man I was with were cold. As 90 percent of the audience looked to be over the age of 75 I don’t know if they did this to keep Them awake but this is also the age group that needs to stay warm in addition to smaller people like myself who are also anemic and suffer from circulation issues. Thankfully I carry heat packs with me. Overall , fiddler on the roof was an amazing show !

We went to this fantastic venue for the opening night of Jersey Boys. Great place to see a great show. Not a bad seat in the house!

The theatre itself is a center for this community. It is well maintained and clean. We saw a "modernized" version of Jersey Boys. Although the music and story stay true to the Era, I was put off by some of the 'modern street language' used in the dialog. Maybe I am getting older, but looking around the audience, there was 90% grey, silver, and white hair. I do not understand why the language has been changed the way it has.

Loved the theater. Not a bad seat in the house. The performers were excellent. The set was incredible. Only thing that was a minor issue was the second act seemed a little rushed. Still would recommend seeing The fiddler on the roof.

I've seen many incredible shows at this theatre and continue to come back for more! It's great that parking is available on site, but it's important to get there early to get a spot.

Saw Fiddler on the Roof. The show was great. Dancers were right on point and the singing was freaking awsome. The seats are dairly comfortable and the volunteer staff treat you like family. Parking is a bit tight do get there early and even walk for a couple of minutes to the theater.

This was our first experience at this theatre, and I can say that we highly recommend it! The theatre is beautiful, and the seats are very comfortable. My husband is 6 foot 8, and he was comfortable leg room wise! We watched the show Kinky Boots, and we were blown away! The set was fantastic, the band was great, and the company was so very talented! Thanks for helping us sing our way through an awesome date night- we will absolutely be back! A high quality production all around.

Great place to walk around with the kids. My only complaint is that signage is basically non existent and it was very difficult to find my way, as this was my first time going. But great playgrounds and splash pads for the kids. Shaded areas for the adults to sit and hang out.

The park also has four reservable picnic areas, making it a great spot for family gatherings and group events. Whether you're looking to go for a hike, play sports, or just enjoy the outdoors, Riverside Park is a true gem that has something for everyone. I highly recommend visiting this beautiful and well-maintained park in Cambridge.

This is the favorite park for me and my son. We even fixed a bench as our spot! 😂 They also have a very large space for picnic.

My kids and I love this park and have been visiting for years. Splash pad for all ages, plenty of shady spots from the sun, with a playground super close by. My son and his friends are always at the skate park and when opened the bike jumps area. The walks through the park are beautiful and so are the trails. Will be reserving a gazebo area for my son's birthday this year. Love this park.

A very nice hike along the Speed River. Glad to see all the trails that we were on, have been upgrade for people with special needs.

A must visit place in Cambridge. You can come with friends and have a lunch or dinner party with friends. There is plenty of places to sit near the river here. Kids would love this place has this has plenty of open space for them to play.

A huge park with beautiful scenery, the benches facing the river. it's all calm. It has a huge ground for hosting events.

One of the best parks in the Cambridge region. Long scenic trails. Park benches facing the riverside is so relaxing to sit & watch the fish & ducks wading in the water. Has a huge baseball field & some people play cricket too. This place hosts some events too every now and then.

Pretty nice park, lots of good trails however some of them require maintenance as they have been overgrown with weeds. Sports fields are full of goose droppings so watch where you walk if you cut across a field.

I really enjoy walking through this park and taking photos as I go. Lots of benches and trails 😊.

The park has long green spaces and beautiful trails to walk. In addition, it has a play area for kids with slides, water splash areas etc.

Today, we took a stroll down the bord-walk to partake in bord feeding. And man. Let me tell you. Everyone needs to try this spiritual activity. You become one with bord the moment in lands on your hand, like avatar. You and the bord enter a symbiotic relationship accompanied with pure euphoria; a sublime experience. You can even get crazy and try different body manoeuvres while holding the seeds in your hand. Become a member of the Xtreme bord feeders community - you will not ragret

Attending the fireworks display at Riverside Park in Cambridge on Canada day was a memorable experience. The combination of the beautiful location, impressive fireworks, and the vibrant atmosphere created a sense of excitement and celebration. It was a great way to spend an evening with friends and family, enjoying a spectacular show

Small but very impactful. Beautiful fashions showing the history of fabrics and styles. Informative detailed history wall of when fabrics first were produced. If you like seeing dresses from the last couple of centuries, this museum is a must see!!!

We were there for the first time for the special Easter tea event, and had a great time! What a neat little gem right in downtown Hespeler. My kids loved the bottomless tea, the little sandwiches and dessert table that were part of the special event, then we all enjoyed walking through the museum. Very neat displays, lots of interesting information to read. Something different and educational to do with the family.

What a gem this place is. Totally recommend taking the journey and spending the whole day. Nothing like it in Canada, I'm sure, and so carefully curated and fascinating. Also, a beautiful space!

Small but good to visit.

May 6, 2023 Coronation Day of King Charles lll. We had an appointment at the Fashion History Museum for the advertised Coronation White-Linen High Tea. WHAT A JOKE !!!. There was no white-linen anywhere. I believe that who ever organized this has NO idea what a White-Linen High Tea consist of. Also what was advertised as the menu items had no resembles to what was served. This is the VERY WORST so called White-Linen High Tea you could possible imagine. First and foremost for a Coronation White-Linen High Tea celebration there was no Coronation themed decorations. If you do not intend to decorate for what you are advertising as a Coronation themed White-Linen High Tea then you should not promote it as a CORONATION HIGH TEA. You should also learn how to serve tea and keep it hot for your customers! Every heard of a tea cozy ? Traditional finger sandwiches, were not served. Instead a plate of thrown together thin sliced and sadly lacking (you will need a magnifying glass to find any fillings) so called sandwiches were served. This was followed by a scone that was more like a bread roll, with no cream (only butter) and jam. Went we asked for the cream that was advertised we were told that the BUTTER on the table was the cream and told we did not know what the Devon Cream was like. RUDE I can assure you that I have had many, many High Teas and am very well aware what Devon Cream is and it is NOT ANYTHING LIKE THE BUTTER THAT WAS ON THE TABLE ! Then came the final DISAPPOINTMENT the sweets or what should have been the sweets totally inedible !!! A total disappointment and at a cost of $45.20 a total rip off !!!! Maybe someone should at least research what a White-Linen High Tea is before advertising something that you have no ability to deliver !!! Very Very Disappointing !!!!!!!

The staff was so friendly and it's nice to look at the items in their collection but very little information is actually given on the fashion items they display. Information like the type of cloth used, techniques developed, silhouette création, undergarments required, price points for the items on display (ie. Did they belong to wealthier people or common folk)... This info was not really shared. I wish there had been more information provided. The Cher collection was cool but also had very little info. All in, not worth the ticket price to look at maybe 12 dresses (plus Cher's 5) and two suits with minimal info.

My 1st visit & grateful a friend convinced me to join her. An intimate space with a variety of fashion exhibits. Informative & friendly staff. Well curated vintage displays. Fascinating local history about the once thriving textile industry in the region. Special exhibit Bob Mackie gowns worn by Cher!

Small space but very interesting. We saw the history of Canadian fashion and the Dior display. Will come back again when the exhibit changes in a few months! There was an image scavenger hunt for the kids!

Small museum but affordable and worth a drive over. Gorgeous location, friendly and informative staff, beautiful pieces. I highly recommend it! From their small gifts section, I also picked up their self-published book on Canadian fashion history and a vintage hand-embroidered hanky, for very reasonable prices. I had such a lovely time! Thank you again to the staff!

Beautiful display in a lovely building, with fascinating details provided by the curator. Those gorgeous clothes on display for the 2019 exhibition Made in France were mesmerizing. Clothes really can be art that you wear! What a fun little museum in Hespeler. So glad we visited.

Fantastic little museum! Learning about textile craftsmanship and the subtle differences while also simultaneously seeing drastic changes over longer stretches of time. Also the Cher collection was great 😎

The museum is quite small, but it really feels like the collection is looked after and curated with care and a great deal of knowledge. The detailes about certain garments history are amazing. Owners are lovely and happy to answer any questions. As the exhibition is changing regularly, I will make sure to come back!

It wasn't our favorite park until we found the pond. Very quite and calm place. There is also a small river, good playground and 2 big parkings.

This is an AMAZING park! We just discovered it yesterday and it's now our favorite! Great trails for biking and scooting. Awesome play areas for kids. Baseball diamonds and big fields. It's early in spring so I assume there will be even more options (picnics and such) as the weather gets better. Most importantly it's clean!!

Cool place to watch the eclipse. Someone from tbe parks department should remove the graffitti. Little kids play there. One piece of equipment looked condemned.

Used to bring the kids here when they were small, dating back 20 years ago or more. The park has not changed much but remains a good place for smaller children or just to go for a hike! We decided to go for a little hike here on this beautiful day and found that the pond is still a great place to watch ducks - these ducks are very domesticated… lol, they will follow you around endlessly if they think you have food for them - which we didn’t... Despite the many signs stating NOT to feed animals, they are not afraid to come within a foot of you for a chance to get the first crumbs being handed out. There are also a lot of geese here - which, sadly, makes it a challenge to step anywhere without stepping in poop… There are washrooms which were still open this time of year. They were pretty clean which was much appreciated! There are a number of paths that come and go through this park - you can walk for some time without leaving the park boundaries. Worth the visit but remember to watch your step!!

This place has a very calm vibes specifically if you go for a morning or evening walk, very peaceful and relaxing. Sitting by the lake was very calming and relaxing. It might be because there were very few ppl when we visited. There is a couple of children play area and football/ baseball grounds with multiple parking spots.

I grew up in G-town Cambridge so it's always a part of me. Churchill park along with Grand River trails alongside was my playground growing up. I'm a little disappointed the Peacocks are gone along with the Deer that use to reside in the back of the park where they kept the animals for kids viewing and to visit, now it's just home to Ducks and Geese along the Ponds and walks ways. The Park Splash Pads, family picnics areas or just sit on the benches to soak in the view if your out for a stroll through this park which is built with trails that you can continue through across the street onto the Brant trailways. Soccer field past the playground areas, Baseball diamond up top behind the washroom areas open for public use in the summer months. The city of Cambridge can update and clean this park up a bit more as it's a beautiful place to enjoy with your family, the rocket playground has been there since I was a lil girl still a popular hit among the kids with an updated play area for the younger todlers, great place to spend with the family all around which brings back old childhood memories.

This is not an easy review to write. Six years ago, this park was great - so fresh and clean with so many hidden treasures. 2023, it is rusty, worn out, and dirty. The spaceship park is in horrible shape. There is a bridge with no platform to walk on. The old animal pen dismantled and left as a weird unused space. Run down batting cage and diamonds. There has been no thought put into what could potentially be a great park. It could be beautiful, but it seems more like an afterthought for the city now.

Really enjoy this park. Great space for walks, small but really nice splash pad, 2 playgrounds including the old school Rocketship and a really nice little kid area with soft ground, baseball diamonds and more. Washrooms are a good size and clean. Picnic tables and close to Indulge ice cream caboose!!

We have been here just to tour the home, for an exhibit of fairy houses, a Christmas tea, and a historical walk. It's a great place to learn about the area. And the staff are super friendly and knowledgeable.

Beautiful historic Scottish cottage from 1858. English gardens surround the cottage, which is open for public viewing during certain times of the year. Tartan Tea occurs several times throughout the year (various themes, I believe all are Scottish based). The cottage is also open for general viewing, with restored ceiling friezes (painted ceilings). I believe it's volunteer run, so be kind when you visit! Also, they will sometimes have local musicians in playing traditional Scottish music (no, not always bagpipes!).

Great time at the Easter Day event!

Wonderful Christmas high tea was excellent today. This historic site offered delicious sandwiches and scones with our huge pot of tea and the clotted cream. Sandwiches were a rolled turkey, cranberry with spinach (not lettuce!) And cucumber w cream cheese. This was a special event and tickets were purchased in advance. Watch for other events at this beautiful cottage.

I have loved spending time at the Cottage. From tea's and children's crafts with Scottish themes, to Wee Quilt Challanges (that had entries from all over Canada and even Scottland!) or taking classes from different artisans, it has always been delightful to be at McDougall Cottage. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming and know so much about the history of the cottage and the family that settled there so long ago. It is a lovely place to come in and stop for a cuppa and some history and see the beautiful murals on the ceilings.

Easter celebration. My first time at cottage. It is lovely. The murals alone well worth the visit.. loved the old wood atmosphere. Learned much, ladies were knowledgeable and shared.

It's a very nice place for a family to have lunch. We were group of 4 and had to pay around $30 for a daily pass.

I was at Dunville Hospital. Had a wisdom tooth that was paining my jaw real bad. So I took what pills ,the Hospital gave me , and 7 or 8 days later went to Cayuga, to a dentist,had this tooth yanked out.Nothing worse than a tooth ach.

We must live near it... been there 4 times this week! Lol...there are some hidden gems to see while walking tho for sure...

We caught the grand river on the opposite side of the Chicopee hills. Behind the Upper Mercer street in Kitchener. There is a nice trail there. People were canoeing and also tubing in the river. We saw a sign board for turtle nesting ground but didn’t see any on our trip. Water was nice and shallow and kids had fun playing in it.

Amazing River great fishing boating kayaking can catch any type of fish pretty much in its Waters the scenery is amazing lots of Wildlife bald eagles along sections of Cayuga and Brantford

A very strong river in heritage, nature and beauty. Hike beside it, paddle it, fish it but make sure you get out to enjoy it.

Quiet n quaint little river. Have fished and swam along the Grand from Elora to Port Maitland and each spot as beautiful as the last. Great for kayaking...but there is a current and a lot of shallows so be prepared. So much to see as you move along the water...turtles, herons, cows and Bald Eagles....treat yourself and your family..get to know n experience the Grand...you're going to love it.

My daughter love this plays and so am I in special in statutory holidays events partys, best place and safe to bring your kids and let them play and run,members stuff are amazing and always clean this place,I will recommend this place for every Mom that wants to relax together with family in here.

We recently had a birthday party and overall experience was great. Staff is friendly and willing to assist if you have any concerns or requests. Our room was ready and guests were shown where to go. I would only encourage the owner to implement healthier food options for kids. Juices with less sugar more natural, whole grain snacks and less chocolate treats. Place has potential.

Always an incredible place for a birthday party! The staff are friendly and they do their absolute best to keep the facility as clean as they can. They were accolodating when we needed to add a few children to our party and very helpful throughout!

A great place for a rainy day. Lost of variety for a range of ages and near to restaurants for before or afterwards. There is a little cafe inside that is a good place for a snack while there also.

Fun for young kids. I tend to go on weekdays when it's not that busy so can't comment on what it's like on a busy day. Been there with my daughter about 5 times, she always loves it. Seen some comments on the cleanliness, my experience is that it's always clean. Maybe my standard of what is acceptable is different than others I dont know. Anyone commenting on lack of activities for kids under a year, I'm not sure what you're expecting them to have, babies are pretty limited in activities they can partake in. The are 3 separate toddler appropriate areas.

Not bad prices. Just way too many "big kids" in the toddler section. My little was pushed and shoved way too many times.

Mill Race Park is always a great place to go for for a nice walk and scenic views of the Grand River. I love bringing my family there to feed the ducks.. The only downfall is it is pretty dirty sometimes, due to night activity and lack of respect.

Had a short visit to Cambridge, surely worth visiting the beautiful old city, specially Grand river areas surrounded by Water st. on east, Main st. on south, George st. on West and Park Hill rd. on north.

Wonderful place to spend an afternoon. Little unknown gem in Galt. Beautiful views! Restaurants and cafes.

Enjoyed the walkway by the river, and the hotdog stand by the road.

Cambridge has done an amazing job of city refurbishment. The walk along the river with its many sitting spaces is just one of the really well designed areas. They have kept as much of the old architecture and combined it with brilliant new and well thought out spaces. The library will really impress you, not only the design but what is available there for public use. Take your kids. You won't regret it!

Beautiful place. The environment is very calm and relaxing. It has a beautiful bridge, which is perfect for photography specially for wedding. It has lots of parking free spots. Thus is one of my favorite places.

This place in downtown Cambridge is very beautiful. It’s old Cambridge where you will see historical sites & get to read the history. This place’s beauty is enhanced with Grand River flowing across church. You can also see the river rapid & dam lookout on the other side of this park

Beautiful location for events by a picturesque river. If only you didn't have to worry about your safety or have to smell the various smells associated with the people who are living rough, of which there are many.

Based on the advice of Alltrails, a wonderful little hiking app, decided to try a more urban style walk along the river in downtown Galt. Had a nice time. Weather was beautiful for October. There were some picturesque locations by the river; in fact so picturesque that there were three different weddings all getting photos taken. There are a few great little independent coffee shops and cafes around, if you need emergency caffeine refreshment. Some limestone ruins, some interesting existing buildings. Free parking along the road, with a two hour limit, which is plenty of time to amble along the paths. Easy, easy hike of course - all paved level trails.

It's a beautiful area to visit and see the Grand River... and then the Cambridge Mill across the Street. It would be lovely to see a theatre production in the little coliseum like sitting area in the park by the river. 👏🏻

A nice little historical park in downtown Galt, Cambridge. It has a nice little path that runs beside the Grand River with plenty of benches and some picnic tables to sit, relax and just enjoy the beautiful view.

Awesome place to go. Lots to see and it's great to watch hockey with the kids while grabbing a bite to eat.

Nice place to cool down on a hot summer's day. Great place to check out anytime there's a hockey game going on. Spot many of our future NHL stars. Pleasant enough place to skate some circles during their public skates, especially when it's a sponsored event (in other words, for free). #celebrity_bucks

really impressed with the staff here, kind and personable and friendly with the kids. Prices are reasonable for public skate, and the lessons are staffed by people that genuinely seem to enjoy children! Love that you can also rent skates here if you need them

Great weekend hours for public skating. Food and sports store nearby if in a pinch. Staff are friendly enough maybe a little young and immature. There needs to be a clockwise then counter clockwise rotation after the flood supported by the onice staff. Would make the overall experience much better.

Arrived to take my daughter skating only to find out public skating had been cancelled with a helpful sign at the counter telling us to check Cancellations on website. Please either put updated cancellation info on landing page or put a note to 'Always Check Cancellations'. We were one family of at least 5 that we saw. Bad communication.

good facility, but lousy staff. it's inconvenient that you have to go there to sign up for shinny hockey prior to the actual date, instead of being able to sign up and pay online. not only that, but people who didn't sign up were given my spot because i was 20 minutes late (for a 2 hour shinny session).

Nice and simple trails. The outer loop takes a decent amount of time to walk and it can get quite dark in there when the sun is setting. Love it for the convenient location. There is a $15.00 entrance fee when there is no attendant (Visa Debit does not work on the machine!), which is a little steep for just taking an hour long walk, but it makes sense for the beach.

Worth the weekday evening trip. There are two lots to access the beach from (the left parking lot is a shorter distance). The washrooms are usually clean. There are two volleyball courts, plenty of picnic tables and open space areas to play sports. The beach is long so there's usually open space to sit (weekends - arrive between 8-10am to get a good spot). There are also canoe/kayak/SUP rentals available. I bring my SUP and it's a great spot to paddle for an hour or so (somewhat of a small lake). A great spot to spend your summer days.

Great little place to hike and see some nature right in the city. Trails are mostly accessible for strollers or wheelchairs, but the trails on the far East side were still a bit muddy.

Great trails in the middle of the city. Gets crowded in the summer however especially in the last 18 months for some reason.

It is a Great place to visit. Nice and serene lake. Some good trails are out there. Also it is not very far away from the City of Cambridge. You can spend 3-4 hours very easily here and if you are coming with 2-3 families or a group of people, you can spend more time here. You can do BBQ here. There are benches all over the place. Washroom facility if provided. I believe it if open all year round but as summers in Canada makes these type of places more attractive.

Our local conservation area, have been many times. Last time rented a kyak from Serene Water Sports, excellent value and such a peaceful experience on the water on a hot day. Highly recommended.

I love this place. It’s beautiful, lush and green 😁. You’re surrounded by nature, you can play at the beach, swim and ride a boat on the river. You could also fish and kayak on the river. There are lots of trails, looks like a very good spot for camping. You can come in with food and for non members you have to pay about 15dollars and it’s free for children below 5. It was fun time, we came with a grill and made barbecue. There are no life guards at the water front, parents are responsible for watching their kids. I would definitely love to visit again and soak it all in. I took long refreshing walks in the woods, swam and ate barbecue 😁. It felt like I was walking through a well tended jungle.

This hidden gem is tucked away in a busy Cambridge area. It feels like you are out in the middle of nowhere. It is so peaceful, serene, and full of walking trails. There are so many extras to fill a day, and you do not have to drive far. It is worth the trip. Bring the family, the dogs, and a picnic, and you are set.

Lots of parking spaces. Great park for picnics, barbecues, and other outdoor activities. However, some restrooms could be closed during less busy days. Overall, a go-to park in Cambridge.

This place sucked, not worth going if you're seeking a hike. It costs $7.75 per adult and the hiking trail has so many mosquitoes. It's absolutely unbearable. The beach with a lake has plenty of children and families so that one seems fine. Not much services and value to justify charging at all. The cost is probably just to pay for the attendants and guards of the borders! Absolute waste of cash. You can see the gate in the picture where they are collecting money. Additionally you need to park your car and get out to pay, they don't come to you.

Lots on offer here. Check out the website for details on classes and events. They do have a great tiny shop located at the main entrance. All locals items! Lots of parking at several city lots. This location is accessible....if the elevators are working.

It was nice to be able to use the wood working centre again. However 1.5 hours is not enough time to accomplish much when you are working with wood.

Anyone that says they don't know how to give back or where to volunteer need to check out this business. You will have a blast and do great work for the world in need of food.

An amazing staff of volunteers & staff who help with producing dry mixes for soups mainly to support those countries in need. You can go there anytime during week ..grab an apron and get chopping veggies.

It was an interesting place to walk around but I thought it would take longer to walk around. Maybe I missed part of it or maybe it's better viewed when it's more spring out and everything is greener. Parking can be a little difficult. The website says to use the parking lot for the fish&chips place right by there but there's signs everywhere saying it's just for customers. If you're already walking in that area it's nice to go look but I wouldn't make it your only destination unless you're really into art.

I had the chance to visit it at night, and let me tell you, it was breathtaking! The way the lights illuminated everything around, it was like a whole new world. I honestly think it was even better than during the day.

Must see place in historical city of Cambridge. Right in the gaslight district, and very close to a cool Fish n Chips place. Enjoy a relaxing walk, followed by a nice lunch.

The sculptures are nice but all seem to be made of iron. Not the world's most beautiful sculptures for sure. But the main thing is that there's no cross walks to get across Grand Ave and the picnic tables are down a steep hill and facing weeds.

I won't rate it much as Sculpture Garden. However, as a garden it's nice. There is a fish n chips shop in the premises.

it was one of the most life changing spirit uplifting, soul cleansing presentation that I was so fortunate to be apart of I would like to thank everybody how had and took apart of this historical event that took place on this great evening.

Great space to explore, sit and relax or go fishing. The sculptures enhanced the experience and was amazed by the Oak tree planted in 1884.

Park is small and won't take up much time to see everything. BUT the new pedestrian bridge across the grand river is well worth the trip. It looks really cool lit up a night. Check it out for sure! =)

Cambridge Sculpture Garden showcases a variety of beautiful arts and sculpture created by many artists. There are a parking lot that you can park your vehicle and explore this beautiful garden. If you don't want to drive, you can simply walk through a beautiful bridge that connect from the Downtown Cambridge to the Sculpture Garden, which also gives you a nice view of the Grand River. Moreover, this Cambridge Sculpture Garden is free of charge and it offers benches and picnic tables for your family outdoor fun.
