This was a fantastic museum with ongoing great exhibitions. I loved 'Matisse in the 1930s' and 'Macho men' exhibitions so much. Its permanent collections are huge. I couldn't even see half of it even though I've went this museums 2 days in a row ad spent 6 hours each day. I love impressionism so this place was like heaven. This museum also has great American Art collection which made me surprised. There was huge collection of glass art so if you love glass art this place is must go. Overall, this museum was one of the greatest museum in the US I've ever been to and I am planning to go back soon so I could see all of its collection. Admission ticket is awesome because you could use 2 days in a row with paying only 1 ticket and you could go to Rodin museum for free as long as you shows the ticket from Philadelphia Museum of Art. What an awesome deal for visitors!

Great place to sip a drink and enjoy the art. You can spend hours and hours here. This is an amazing place to visit In Philly if you are interested in art and history. They have an impressive collection of arts and artifacts from different countries and time in history. Remarkably well preserved paintings, rooms to show lifestyle, and cultural artifacts: engraved rugs, and sculptures. There was live music, you can get some light snacks or drink. They also have cafe and gift stores. They do have parking lot for visitors. I recommend buying tickets online, on first Friday of the month I think you can visit it at little cheaper than regular days.

Really beautiful and gorgeous building. One of the most beautiful exterior areas of any American museum. The ‘Rocky stairs’ and the jet fountain outside are stunning. Walking outside and seeing the skyline of Philadelphia is also spectacular. Inside, there is a beautiful collection on Impressionist art, however, I found the rest of the museum lacked the same quality. But a great collection nonetheless. Some good Picasso, Monet, and Van Gough.

I have been to The Philadelphia Museum of Art twice, but I have not yet been inside. On my most recent visit, it occurred to me that on my next visit, I'm going to make it a priority to go inside. I cannot comment on the interior of the museum; the exterior is lovely. If you are facing the museum, do not expect the Rocky Statue to be at the top of the steps. It is to the right of the steps on the street level in its own section. Everything about the exterior of the museum is exhilarating, from all of the people climbing the steps and shadowboxing, to the ornate statues, to the beautiful view of the city down Benjamin Franklin, to the endless photo and video opportunities. Even the walk down Benjamin Franklin is beautiful. Don't skip a visit to the Museum when visiting Philadelphia.

Love this place. Size is perfect. Not to big, not too small, just right. It's manageable to spend a lovely day and still have time to enjoy the area or spend extra time contemplating a few of the marvelous pieces. They have something for everyone from most eras and most media. I'm a fan of European paintings and some sculpture. Come Friday night and enjoy live music as well. They're open till 8:45pm. Bathrooms on every floor. I'll definitely be back!

Very cool space. Visited with my son who has recently moved to Philly and we agreed you could go back again and again. We got there toward the end of a long day but thoroughly enjoyed what we were able to see before closing. Views at dusk we're lovely and we found the Rocky statue as we left. Great day!

Philadelphia Museum of Art is one of my favorite attractive places to go with the family. I'd take the kids to check out some rooms there and the history, I like that they have a cafe area in the ground level area. You can eat and drink whatever you like there. You can take pictures there as you wish. Also, I wish they open until 7 pm because 5 is early to be closed. I don't think I've any cons to mention. I highly recommend for family trips.

I took my husband on a date at the Museum of Art on Friday night and we had a great time. On Friday, between 5pm and 8:45pm, the admission is free (donations are welcome). The atmosphere was perfect: a live band was playing jazz music and we grabbed a drink by the steps. The museum has a huge variety of paintings and pieces of art. Artists like Picasso, Duchamp, Matisse, Renoir, Man Ray, Monet, Manet mostly find a spot on the first floor. But don’t be shy, ask the staff about specific painting and they’ll be happy to help you navigate the museum’s map.

Absolutely stunning museum. It’s got everything. I can’t say enough good things about this museum. The building itself is an architectural wonder and a must see you when you come to Philadelphia. Tip you can go to the side or the back of the building to get in and avoid the lines. Also make sure you buy the city pass. It will get you into almost every museum in town as well as the hop on hop off bus you’ll save a ton of money.

This is one of my favorite art museums I have visited. My boyfriend and I have very different tastes and preferences and we both found many works of art that were breathtaking and spoke to our interests. The galleries are well organized and museum personnel were friendly. This is a wonderful museum to explore across styles and artistic mediums.

Quite possibly the best art museum I have visited! Our group visited for a Friday "pay what you wish" evening and loved every bit of the 3 hours we spent there. We spent much of our time in the European galleries and loved the inclusion of architectural elements in the exhibits. Our one point of disappointment is that there was an event happening with loud, modern music playing and children participating in a "trick-or-treat" scavenger hunt through the museum. While we were happy to see a unique way to invite families with young children into the museum, we thought it would have been prudent to teach the children to conduct themselves quietly in a museum rather than interacting loudly.

This museum was beautiful. There was so much to look at that we didn't have enough time to explore everything. I would recommend setting aside an entire day or a couple days to visit the museum thoroughly. I give the museum itself and their collection 5 stars. It is worth the visit. The Rocky Balboa statue is also located here so that was a fun to see as well. Most of the staff was very friendly but some were not. We were asked by a staff member to check our umbrella at coat check while we were already almost through an exhibit but other people were walking around with the same type of umbrella and weren't asked to do so. Another staff member asked us to step away from a painting that was covered with glass and explained that we needed to stay 18 inches away but he didn't say anything to the next few people who walked up to the same painting and stood where we had been. I understand the requests however staff should be consistent and polite, and apply the requests to all visitors.

Huge museum with sooo many must see pieces! Note- the entrance at the top of the "Rocky Steps" is closed. You have to use the North/East entrances. The printed map they provide has indicators of specific works that are renowned, so on my quick visit I made a point to see those. A huge variety of art and artifacts (American, European, Asian, Modern, etc). Helpful and friendly staff, clean restrooms, overall very respectful visitors. Highly recommend visiting this museum.

I am not the type of person to really like Art Museums but this was pretty cool! It had many different exhibits through the different eras. Kids are free and adults cost $25. It was a pretty cool museum with cool exhibitions. Unfortunately I didn't have enough time for the special ones like Matisse. But, the permanent ones were still pretty cool. It had a lot of great American Art collection. Friendly and accommodating staff. Definitely try to have a lot of time empty to explore the entire place.

Beautiful experience! Went here with my family, and there as so much to see. Also, I found out that a normal ticket gets you two consecutive days!! (Yes, Monday and Thursday are together since Tuesdays and Wednesdays are not open). Amazing prices of art work everywhere, and there's something for everyone. There is some sections like the armor, and some east Asian sections that are temporarily closed, but that didn't hinder the visit. Didn't try the shops yet but everything looks very nice!

Attended for Friday evening happy hour. Wonderful ambiance and upscale experience. Professional jazz singer and musician. Mixed cocktails packed a punch and white & red wine was available. Impressionist exhibit featuring rare Monet paintings is a must-see

You can spend an entire day here, if you enjoy art and history!! If you are just browsing, you can go much faster, but if you like to stop and read quite a bit or just stare at pieces you like, you will want to ration out lots of time for this giant, gorgeous museum. We spent probably 5 hours and could have spent longer, but it was enough to spend time on what we wanted to see and quickly walk through the parts we were not as interested in - and we were tired by then. Most of the items at the three gift shops we visited at the art museum were WAY overpriced, but there were sales on some of the items in the one downstairs which were more reasonable. But in general, ridiculous pricing, in my view. I'm not sure, but perhaps the museum might make more sales by lowering the cost. The museum ticket is also fairly expensive ($30 for adults) so try to make good use of it by setting aside enough time. When you buy the ticket, you also get a free ticket to the Rodin Museum, if you go the same day or the next day. You probably don't need more than 20-30 minutes for the Rodin Museum unless you really love statues of hands and naked people, but it is also a nice place to walk through anyways, if you have some time.

Took a day trip here to check out the museum and surrounding area. The art inside and outside was amazing. The amount of statues and plaques outside on the grounds was incredible. Very detailed and historic. The grounds and buildings themselves were a sight to see. We posed near the Rocky statue and ran up the same steps he ran up in the movie. Once inside we were amazed at how grand and spectacular the displays were. One of the nicest and well laid out museums we’ve ever seen. There was a lot of areas that couldn’t be filmed so we put away our phones and just enjoyed the experience. They have a nice gift shop. There is a decent amount of paid parking and eateries in the area. We pretty much spent the whole day here.

An unforgettable experience! Purchasing our tickets online beforehand made getting in effortless. There is so much to see and do in this place that it would take multiple trips to see it all. We ate lunch at the cafe and everything was nice. There was a Korean art exhibit as well as many others. This was my first time going to an art museum. You know you hit the jackpot when you literally get lost inside of all the art. I will never forget it. We will be back!

Really nice art museum with big variety of pieces to view. It is amazing how close you can get to most pieces and view them up close. Organization of the collections is good easy to navigate your way around the building. It was nice they had free paper maps for use. Parking was easy in the underground parking garage on the property. Enter early in the day to make sure it isnt full. If using the parking garage, make sure to get your parking ticket validated in the museum as it will lower the fee by 19 dollars. Eating and beverage options inside are good with several options. There is a small beverage cafe, a sit down restaurant and a cafeteria style large cafe that include made to order options in addition to pre-made selections. While there if the weather is nice, take some time to walk the grounds and park on the north side where you can view the Schuylkill River and the house along boat row. If you are lucky there may be a growing team or two on the river for a workout. Buy tickets online as there are entry time limits and getting tickets early will allow you to get the time you want.

$30 is expensive for entry. The organization of the museum is jumbled and lacked flow. The American art was scattered throughout, and while there was a Pollock, two Warhols, and several other great American artists, the lack of flow made it hard to appreciate. There is a great collection of circa 1900 art. I thought the Picasso and Matisse collections were quite good. There are better impressionist exhibits elsewhere - I thought the lack of some key impressionist artists was surprising considering that's what a lot of reviews highlighted? Much of the museum was under construction. The high school kids present were not well instructed in museum behavior.

Great way to spend the day. There is parking in the back and a small lot out front. The main entrance is not accessible. Nice range of exhibits that change out. The east Asian art and the shelter in place exhibit were definitely must sees.

I had bought my ticket in advance and I visited on a weekday, so I didn't have to wait at all. Unfortunately I did not have enough time to explore as much as I wanted, but this museum was breathtakingly good. Not only did they have an amazing collection, they also presented it in a very well-thought setting. Each hall had its own theme related to what was inside. I enjoyed this museum more than the MET and LACMA. Plus, their shops are not ridiculously overpriced like some other art museums.

Such a cultural historic building and area that it’s easy to just enjoy it from the outside and miss out on what’s inside! Highly recommend touring the building than taking a jog of the “Rocky” steps to get that incredible view and be part of cinema history. A must see in Philly!

You need at least 2-3 hours to appreciate all the beautiful art in this museum. Although it is mostly know for being the "Rocky" steps, don't skip this museum if you are an art lover. We enjoyed the highlight guided tour. It was free with admission. There are various tours you can take. Check with the front desk for times. Take the time to see the large rooms with the cloister, the asian section and find the dog kennel it is truly unique.

One of the most beautiful museums I've ever been to! I'm really intrigued by how some of the displays are built into the ceilings of each room. There is an investment and permanency and that design that is unusual. The parking is expensive, even with validation. Plan to spend an entire day here if you want to see everything in detail! I was there for 4 hours with a lunch break and I only got to see two floors. You need to make reservations. I recommend being the first ones there; It was so peaceful to be on the floors by myself.

Came for a history lesson and educational tour while visiting Philadelphia. Arrived right at opening during the week and there was not any line at all. Purchased the Daytime Self-Guided tour as you receive a audio headset that gives you prerecorded info for each area. As you go from one area to another, you'll see signs which tell you the audio clip to play on the headset. This allowed you to tour the facilities at whatever pace you wanted in whatever order you preferred. It also had many extra audio clips that weren't part of the main tour, but you could listen to you if you wanted. The paper map also gives the locations of the various areas the audio clips reference. There was no time limit, so you could stay as long or as short as you wanted. I'd say the main tour lasted about 45 minutes. As far as the tour overall, this was very interesting, educational, and somber all in one. They did a great job of preserving the penitentiary just as it was until the closing in 1971. There were also many interactive stops along the way and several artists exhibits throughout the facilities. It wasn't just about the penitentiary itself, but also the role the penitentiary system played in the 1800's - 1900's and even to current days. It also looks at different perspectives from punitive, restorative, or reformative justice. This was a nice tour full of interesting and educational facts.

This was our favorite tour while in Philadelphia. We were here during the day, which made it not as creepy to walk through as it would be at night. There was a very heavy feeling throughout the entire facility. We did not see or capture anything that would be considered paranormal, but there is definitely some energy that is felt. This was an amazing tour. Whether you are interested in the paranormal or just in history, this is a great place to visit!

Such an iconic place. Some parts are completely in ruins but somehow, it gives energy to this place where lies a strong history of convicted people. It has a great audio guide that provides you with details about the the penitentiary. Save, at least, 2,5 hours to enjoy the visit and the audio guides.

Great experience! Lots of history. Some of the cells have been preserved and used for Art Installations. Hand sanitizing stations throughout walk. Didn't understand why some areas were closed off but are open at certain times of the year (cell block 12 for example) still had a really nice time reading and listening to the Steve Buscemi narration of audio guide. Would love to return for a night time visit!

My daughter (18yo)and I really enjoyed our visit. We spent several hours there. There is so much well presented information to take in. The building is fascinating but the education aspect is as good. We learned so much about the current state of the US and global penal systems. It was pretty shocking stuff. I am left with the insane comparison of the much higher annual cost of incarceration versus an Ivy League education. I think that all citizens should see this. They may develop greater sympathy for convicts and why they need education as well as a loss of their liberty.

Definitely recommend coming by for the walking tour, audio provided by Steve Buscemi. The tour takes you through the history of the prison, life of the guards and inmates, and discusses some topics like solitary confinement, US modern prison system and the need for reform. Worth the price and will definitely give you a new perspective.

This place is really cool... and creepy. Most of the buildings are slowly falling apart but certain areas have been restored to provide visitors a glimpse of prison life when Eastern State was operational. We walked here from our hotel by City Hall and purchased tickets at the gate. We chose the self guided tour where they provide headphones that have recorded information about different locations around the prison. The narrative is fascinating as you learn both the history of the prison and the history of incarceration in the US. I'm definitely interested in returning for their Halloween festivities. This is a must-visit attraction in Philadelphia.

I've done so much reading up on this venue and finally had the opportunity to tour this place. I took my kids with me and they really enjoyed the experience to tour such an old facility. The audio tour was phenomenal and added to the experience. I really want to do the haunted tour they do in the fall. I'll be back again soon in the future to tour this great facility again. It's amazing that most of our prisons are structured off of the design of Eastern State Penitentiary.

Coming here is like an interactive museum, and it’s guided with an audio tour which is cool. Despite it being very fascinating and full of history, it felt solemn walking in an area where many were deprived of basic human needs, and seeing the different facts of this prison and the injustices that occurred. There are exhibits all around besides the actual prison which are very interesting and informative, and don’t forget Al Capone’s cell is here too! A must see exhibit is the Prison Today, which is interactive and based on the modern day US prison system. Overall, I really enjoyed coming here because it’s not only a great history lesson, but much needed eye opener.

Great experience. Even my 7 year old enjoyed it a lot. You take the tour on your own at your own pace. Handicap accessible. They provide you with audio recordings going through about 10-11 sections. The sounds and the story telling turns it up a notch. They sell water and snacks in there so you can actually snack as you walk around. Was it scary? I would say not at all but if you can put yourself and your all into what you are hearing and witnessing it can be.

An atmospheric place where you understand that it is better not to go there in reality. Huge passages, small cells without windows, with a narrow gap in the ceiling, high walls surrounding the prison, death cells, abandoned deserted corridors, from which mystical cold blows. This is a very interesting historical place, I highly recommend visiting it. And yes, there is Al Capone's camera, with the music of those times and the setting. I recommend buying tickets in advance online with a discount coupon.

I saw this while looking up things to do in Philadelphia and immediately added it to the to-do list during one of my upcoming trips. I decided to go on an early Sunday afternoon. There is lots of street parking available in the immediate area...but its probably best to stick to the main streets (Fairmount and Corinthian Avenues...). Once you get into the side residential streets, the signs there mention "permit" which made me a bit nervous. I know some neighborhoods require residential permits to park on the streets and I didn't want to take the chance. Admission prices were $21 for adults and $17 for childen. Children under 6 are free. (Online prices...not sure if was more at the ticket window) After entering the front, you pick up your audio device. A small device with headphones that you can select various numbers marked throughout the penitentiary that will tell you a bit about that area or exhibit. I hope at some point, they would offer an app or online guide where you can use your own phone and earphones for this...the device provided is very dated and comes with wired over the head headphones which can get in the way if you are carrying items, a camera for example. The penitentiary itself was great. While the audio device was cumbersome at times, the information provided throughout the self-tour was impressive. It is very well-paced and guides you through the main areas before letting you know the formal tour is over and your are free to explore. There are many smaller areas and exhibits throughout the penitentiary with wonderful little details about prison life at that time. A must for any history or architect buff. One of the larger areas is the prison yard which leads into an indoor exhibit focusing on the impact of prison reform and overall effectiveness of the various prison philosophy. I like how they included something relevant to modern-times and its impact on today's society. It really stresse that we, as a nation, can do a lot better. I usually get through museums pretty quick...reading the exhibits while taking lots of photos. This took me about 2 hours to get through most of the areas. There were certain areas I was less interesting in that I didn't read or listen to the entire description. So give yourself time if you plan to see everything...also wear comfortable shoes as there is quite a bit of walking. There is a small gift shop toward the end of the tour with clothes, mugs, books...etc...what you'd expect to find in most gift shops. There is also a bathroom trailer as you exit...very clean actually. All staff I encountered were friendly and polite. As for children...some older children may be interested in the history and stories of the prison...but there really isn't much "to-do" for younger children. The entire tour is on one level throughout the cell blocks, prison yard and other sub-areas...there arent any stairs except for one view from the upper cell block level. The penitentiary is in walkable distance to the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Rocky Statue and Steps and surrounding park. There are also some nice eating options along Fairmount Avenue which leads right into the park...not a bad idea to make a day trip to include the penitentiary, food stop and park.

This was a bucket list item and it was awesome! Sure, it's not as scary as it probably is at night during a ghost hunt, but it was still really cool. Lots of great history, and the audio tour was very information. The entire experience was fantastic.

One of the coolest places I've been to in a while. We did the hand on history where they take you to the places the regular tour doesn't take you and it was the best part. We eneded up going to the kitchen, chapel and hospital wings. Gary was our tour guide and he was the best. Answered all our questions and was so nice. Definitely a must see. Buy tickets in advance to save a few bucks.

The history is incredible. Be sure you are prepared for a SLOW crawl throughout the place if you plan on following the recorded tour. Very cool place though.

If you love history and want a real life experience this is the place to go. I was in shock of just how they preserved this building but at the same time seeing the decay of the cells was great. I enjoyed the walk through audio tour. Also there was a section where local artist came in within one of the cell blocks. I would get there earlier to ensure you have enough time to see everything.

I think it's the best tourist experience I've done in years, it's immersive. I did the night time tour which dded to the experience without a doubt. I was limited by the 10pm close so only spent 2 hours but could've done 1-2 more working through the art installations and experiences they've included. Great value for money and it's the one thing I'd tell anyone to do first as a must do activity in Philly.

In my opinion, the architecture of the building is far superior to the actual collection of art. Some of the individual pieces were really good but it’s curated so poorly… there’s maybe like one good art piece in a room of 45 bad pieces from famous artists who had not yet developed their skills yet. In a way, it’s fun to see that these recognizable artists had so many failed artworks that were really missing the mark before they started creating great impressive art… but in general that’s the impression I got from this museum. So many of the artworks could be filtered out to really make the handful of amazing ones stand out. The lighting in the rooms is horrendous which made it very hard to appreciate the color and strokes of the art, and the quirky arrangement of art all stacked one on top of the other was somewhat interesting at first and then became incredibly annoying because you couldn’t fully appreciate the art when it was hung up next to the door in the hall where everyone was walking or above the door higher than you can comfortably see. The museum app allows you to scan the art to get info on each piece and then they send you an email with the art you saw. I liked that. I thought it was a nice modern touch. In general, the museum is worth going to, but just not the best museum I’ve been to. Could be improved.

The small garden just outside the entrance is amazing! It makes me think about my trip in Japan. The mirror-face pond is so beautiful. I arrived before the museum is open, so there is no others. The sound of winding blowing among leaves and the birdsong both give you a sense of tranquility.

What a unique perspective on ART! De. Barnes was ahead of his times! I would have enjoyed a lecture or two by this great educator! His free thought and fluid ideas truly allowed magic to happen among artists and those who followed his teachings. The fact that he was able to collect all of this art was mind-blowing! Random: They used metal detectors and appreciated that as an added layer of security. Some staff were more welcoming than others. My favorite pieces were of bakeries dancers. I enjoyed learning how the rooms were put together!

Amazing experience for any art lover. Large collection of European and American modern paintings including Renoir, Matisse, Degas, Rousseau, and many renowned artists. The rooms are packed with pieces curated in thought-provoking ways by Barnes himself and without overwhelming texts or explanations like most museums. It was highly experiential and inspiring. Recommend at least 3 hours to properly enjoy all the galleries.

The most pretentious museum I’ve ever been to. It’s obviously a huge scheme for the Barnes family to avoid taxes by investing all their money in art and a non-profit organization (which I’m sure turns a hefty profit). Also, Mr Barnes has a very particular taste in art…many, many female nudes. An excessive, distasteful amount of female nudes. It’s a nice building. I’m glad I went on the free day but I wouldn’t want to pay for this.

My favorite museum experience by far. The Barnes is unique because it lets you, the visitor and viewer interact with the art as you please. It is up to your own personal perspective, creating a evocative experience. Unlike a traditional museum there are no plaques or descriptions of the art. The only signage is a tiny, almost microscopic plaque of the artist’s name at the bottom of the frame. The Barnes is an immersive treasure trove of Impressionist art that forces you to think outside the box. Must see if you are in Philly.

Superb collection of Renoir paintings! Sweet museum, well laid out, mostly in one floor. Galleries are a bit tiny and chock full of art and objects. Wonderful restaurant. Great gift shop! Need to be technically savvy since artwork information is accessible only by using a QR code and an app. If you don’t add your email address, you’ll lose the snapshot info when you zoom in on a painting. Other than that, photography is clearly ok, as seen by the manual photos I took and shared the old fashioned way.

We had a lovely time at the Barnes Foundation, which has a beautifully designed building that holds a variety of post-impressionist and early modern art. They had a Marie Laurencin exhibit that was very provoking, and the main exhibits were delicately curated. I would certainly recommend to anyone looking to visit an art museum in Philadelphia.

WOW! Over 4000 pieces of art in this incredible museum. When admiring the works, one of the guides (Mark) was incredibly helpful and informative, educating us about the Dr. Barnes, the collection, history, the location, and about specific paintings. They have an app where you can use your phone to scan the art and it'll tell you all about it (look for the QR code signage when entering the exhibit after the cafè). They have a coat check (required), and very nice and clean bathrooms. Don't forget to go upstairs to admire the rest of the collection!

What a world class gem we have in Philadelphia. Most outstanding collection of French art almost anywhere in the world. New Modigliani exhibit from around the world phenomenal. First Friday open to the public.Enjoy stellar music, cocktails light food and after hours access to the galleries. The museum building itself on "museum row" is stunningly gorgeous As a recent member have been treated to private after hours docent tours and a wealth of online tours and classes.

This was on my bucket list of art museums to visit, and it did not disappoint. It not only exists as a showcase for beautiful and amazing art, but Albert Barnes’ belief that art is for the enjoyment and edification of everyone. As you go through each room and view the paintings amongst the furnishings, metalworks and other art objects, you can’t help but marvel at the care and effort that Dr. Barnes took to purchase and place each piece. What was he trying to highlight with each arrangement? What was he trying to teach? In addition, there are more Renoir and Cezanne paintings here than anywhere else in the world, and that includes France. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

I can’t believe I waited so long before going to the Barnes foundation. The number of pieces they have is absolutely astounding and it’s such an intimate way to enjoy some of your favorite impressionists. But as you may, or may not know, their collection is definitely not limited to impressionist art. I went on a free museum day but I would 100% go back and pay full ticket price to experience it again. Expect to spend some serious time here. It also is one of the best museum gift shops I’ve ever been in.

The Impressionism and post-impressionisms lovers dream! This museum was amazing, not only was the collection incredible, but how it was curated was really enjoyable. It felt like I was just walking around somebody’s house. A house that’s filled with billions of dollars worth of art. It really humanized things, and it was special to see different pieces together in one space, highlighting the differences and similarities amongst artists and movements. I truly loved this experience and would absolutely come back to visit again.

The buildings' architecture and interior design are erlcominf and serine. Do not miss the lower level lounge. The cafe serves drinks coordinated with city events. The Rose latte was a treat, and the counter server was a hoot. Cheery, friendly, and enjoyable. The manager joined the conversation and was lovely. I have been here several times, and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Absolutely incredible organization with an impressive collection. Worth visiting for art and history fans alike. Try and find a guided tour with art history experts to add insight because it really helps the collection pop. There's so much to learn here and I would love to return.

This place surprised me. If not for friends and family, I generally travel according to museums and food. This has to be one of my favorite museums in the States. Anyone who loves art has to visit this place.

This museum is outstanding! The collection is very diverse: awesome paintings, some sculptures and various historical artifacts. The building itself is a museum of architecture, well thought out. The building design and finishes are just superb.

Don't miss it if you love art and museums. I loved the new building encapsulating the original arrangement of the collectors house. Sui generis way pf displaying art, I think unique in that respect.

This is definitely one of those places where there is something for everybody. My partner and I had to walk around 3 times before deciding what places we were going to eat at. All of the food was really good and fresh. Seating can be really limited here but if you wait it out you can find something and some establishments have seats available for guests. There is everything from food to crafts and jewelry. You can easily spend hours here. Come hungry and prepared to spend some time.

So much fun. So much action and variety of color and textures food and people. If you lived in the area you could actually buy your groceries there. But the main thing is the lunch crowd and I do mean crowd. Every type of ethnic food choice is available there.

The market, located indoors, offers a comfortable environment with heating and air conditioning. Given its size, it’s wise to plan your visit or check the online directory beforehand. The market boasts a wide variety of goods, from seafood and meats to sweets and souvenirs, all conveniently located next to each other. With numerous seating areas, it’s a great place to enjoy a meal. While I’ve heard it houses about one hundred vendors, I’m certain I’ve only scratched the surface despite multiple visits. The market is always bustling, even on rainy days, attracting a diverse crowd of tourists and locals. You’ll encounter people in traditional Amish attire, individuals in burqas, and others with turbans, adding to the multicultural vibe. Most vendors accept credit cards or cash, with some even offering Apple Pay. However, the market could benefit from more garbage pails and maps at each entrance of the vendors, as currently, people have to go to the website to find the map of the market. While I can’t confirm if parking is free, there are parking garages nearby. Don’t miss this exciting exploration opportunity!

This is one of the coolest places I've ever visited and I've lived in several different countries. They have a variety of different restaurants, vendors for meat, seafood, poultry, pork, cheese, you name it you can get it here. What ever type of food you want there is a food spot for you. This is a must see on your visit to Philadelphia along with the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall

Weddings at The Reading Terminal in Philadelphia are a unique and unforgettable experience for everyone who attended. The venue, Reading Terminal Market, is perfect for those who love food and Philadelphia, and it's easily accessible, with a parking garage directly behind the market, and many hotel options nearby. The layout of the market is unlike anything you've seen before, with custom furniture for guests and a stage setup for the band or DJ, and areas for more quiet. The staff, run by All About Events, were beyond helpful, and the food was amazing with a huge variety of different options, including custom homemade pop tarts. The wedding was unique with no sit-down dinner and no assigned seating which created a relaxed lounge type vibe and more time to spend with different people. I highly recommend checking this out for your wedding reception!

I have been to Reading Market before in my previous trips! However this time I really took the time to walk through the entire market numerous times! I went at different times of day so I could take it all in without being overwhelmed. I got to have some really yummy bagel sandwiches for breakfast and made to order juices and smoothies. If you’re looking for donuts they have those too. They were okay but not yeasty enough for me. I tried cookies, pies and cakes. The Caribbean shrimp curry was so good I had it twice! This is a must go!

This is just an awesome place to visit for a foodie. It has EVERYTHING. I am most impressed with the pastries. Amish doughnuts are amazing! They are some of the best I have ever had. Definitely a must. I stop by specifically for those delicate delicacies. If you don’t like what you see, please message me, and we will see if we can get you right.

Amazing food and produce here. Visited by tourists and locals. Had a Philly cheese steak.. But there were nicer and more unique foods available. About a 20 or 30 min walk around all the stalls. Highly recommend if your travelling. Great safe atmoaphere. And nice surrounding area. A big contrast on the empty mall over the road.

Great way to spend a rainy day. Breakfast at Down Home Diner is a great place to start. Their biscuits are amazing and the people were really kind. After that, hop from aisle to aisle and pick from desserts, coffee, or small trinket shops. It really is just a great way to spend a morning or afternoon.

It’s a good thing I can’t go here everyday because I probably would. So many delicious options. A mix of groceries and food to eat there or takeaway. There are seating areas in the middle and at some of the stalls/restaurants. The pretzel was as good as I heard it was. The apple and blueberry fritters were delicious. We had to try a cheesesteak of course and I was happy they offered a half option. Definitely visit if you can and enjoy some great food!!

That's an awesome market, we went during the weekend and it was very crowded. There are so many things to see and eat here, we had such a hard time choosing a spot for lunch. There are also great spots to buy unique ingredients, we especially enjoyed the olive oils and the balsamic vinegars!

Just an amazing food hall in downtown Philadelphia that you must try! In fact, it may be the best place to eat in town! So many options to choose from for just about every kind of cuisine you could want including plenty of stuff for your sweet tooth. It’s also a legit food market for those wanting to buy stuff to cook at home. Very, very busy almost all the time so you do have to fight the crowd a little bit. But, it’s really a lot of fun just to wander through the whole place and take everything in. You’re going to pay between $10 and $15 for a meal but that’s not too bad. I would personally recommend the Fourth Street Cookie Company, and the donut shop. The Dutch Eating Place has a hot turkey sandwich platter that was amazing and a great value. There are places to sit inside the food hall, but getting a table can be a bit of a challenge. Just go check it out. You won’t be disappointed.

We ate every meal of our stay in Philly here. You get quality, variety, and value. We had some great fried chicken, a Philly cheesesteak sandwich, breakfast at a Dutch place, pastries from same Dutch place, oysters, and Pad Thai Noodles. It was all super good.

This Market is a culinary gem that serves both locals and visitors with its rich tapestry of flavors, diverse offerings, and historic charm. If you're a foodie or just looking for a memorable meal, this market is a treasure trove that embodies the spirit of Philadelphia's vibrant food scene. From restaurant vendors, to gift shops, or straight up deli/seafood counters.. I couldn't decide on where to eat because of how many different and unique vendors sprawling around. I ended up choosing a Georgian cuisine place that was so delicious. My visit left me with a deep appreciation for the city's culinary heritage, and I can't wait to return to explore more of what it has to offer.

Great experience visiting Reading Terminal Market! Food and more food! You can purchase cooked food like cheesesteaks from By George or Philly’s famous soft pretzels from Miller’s Twist. Or you can get specialty popcorn or chocolates and goodies from Sweet as Fudge. There are a few tables to sit and eat, but it was way too crowded for me. There are also places to buy fresh seafood and meat, delis, and souvenir shops. There are so many things to see and try that it can be a bit overwhelming. But a great time overall and a definite stop if you’re visiting Philly.

From candy to Peking duck, you want crepes? Breakfast? Lunch? Dinner? Hard to find rare meats and food ingredients to high end cheeses and locally distilled alcohol... You name it, they got it. Could spend days eating your way from one end to the other.

This place has pretty much everything you can think of to eat. Come here with an appetite because you’re going to want to try something from everyone. If you come to Philly and skip over going here, you might as well plan another trip back! Be warned, it’s always busy here but well worth it!

Reading terminal is a spectacular historical market in Philadelphia near the Convention center. Quite a variety of food stalls there in most every genre. High quality too!!

A foodie paradise! The food portions are generous and very reasonable. It's a bit like a labyrinth and the aisles can get clogged with people coming and going. I recommend The Dutch Place for one of the best breakfasts you'll have in Philly. Along with food stalls are kiosks that sell herbs, candy, meats, and seafood.

So much history is tucked away in this historic town. Visitors can feel the fabric of American society being woven as they navigate through the relics of time. Paid tickets into the independence hall and the liberty bell not required after 5pm.

Must do if you go to Philadelphia. We went early on a weekday morning soon after it opened and experienced really no wait other than getting our pictures with the bell. Some decent historical information to see before you get to the bell. Without a large crowd, it really doesn’t take much time to check this out at all. No tickets or admission fee required. Just walk up and go in.

If you're in Philadelphia, make sure to visit this place. Depends on the time and day you visit, it could be crowded, but the line moves quickly. Before reaching the Bell, it's a good idea to read some intriguing historical information. The surrounding area is also quite nice.

This is nice place lots of history, the Liberty Bell star of show. The wait was about 15 minutes and they made sure to move the line very quickly this was an amazing experience to see not just “Is Liberty Bell”. But the history of the Bell and what it means just as Americans, But to others from the other parts of the world. It is something for everyone to see and take how lucky you are to live in the United States.

Had an amazing time here. So much to learn about our history. You do not need a reservation. You are subject to inspection before entering the building. There are many postings outside the building to give you more history on the site. Take the entire family. Read what a posted don’t just take pics.

Wow the best thing ever! You enter through security which you have to take of your (sweater,bag/purse,mobile phones and any belongings in your pockets) and once you walk in there is a sort of exhibit that you can walk through . Then the liberty bell is great!!!

It's been a very long time since I've been to the Liberty Bell, certainly prior to 2003 when they built the new building. The new exhibit was stunning - the layout was easy to follow, there was so much to read and learn, and they had a good mix of audio/visual to plain reading. Such an important part of our nation's history!

The interactive displays are also a lot of fun, and they help to make learning about history more engaging.

Great FREE experience. No ticket required. The line moves really fast and there’s a ton of interesting information about the bell and how it was used initially and as a symbol by other groups fighting for freedom. Highly recommend.

Very fun to see this historic artifact. Really like that you can see it very well from outside the building. We were there after hours so still being able to see the bell 🔔 so we’ll lit was a nice surprise!

Very cool place to go check out if you're in the area. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. Very educational and cool at the same time!! There is an upstairs where you can have a bite to eat and it has a great view. The bathrooms were very clean and family friendly.

The amount of history enveloped in this, Liberty Bell is unfathomable. This place is busy at all times of the day, so you can expect at least a 15 minute wait. To see the bell itself, there are no tickets required. Simply join the line and go through security before you are able to see it. The exhibit is pretty nice, and it is incredible to see the bell itself. I highly recommend going across the street to the visitor center for even more exhibits and videos.

06/20/23 - short line, not particularly busy, weather was perfect. I love the preservation of history! It was equally viewable all the way around. Plenty to read and look at while standing in line to see the bell itself! Make the time, I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. There was not much of a line at all. Total time in and out was less than an hour.

Awesome and historic part of town. The line was crazy to get in to the Liberty Bell, so we were content to see it through the window. The grounds are free of charge so that was easy to do.

The entire Historic District should be explored on foot only. The building in which the Liberty Bell is showcased is nice with a lawn and the experience starts with a history and significance of this great bell and how it was a symbol for liberty and freedom not just for Americans, but for many global situations. The entire trip at Liberty Bell would take about 40 minutes to an hour, culminating with a few moments at the Bell itself. Your trip to Philadelphia is not complete without this.

Visit the iconic symbol of freedom at no cost. Independence Mall is home to the renowned Liberty Bell. You can view the bell's back without waiting in line. Note: Expect airport-style security for tours around Independence Mall.

Free and such a fun visit! Great to get there right at 9 am when opening if you can and head to the back for the bell itself with beautiful view out of independence hall. Especially lovely this time of year with the tulips in the background!

So, we went on a Wednesday & it looks like the schools do their field trips on Wednesdays too, just like NYC. The line was really long. You can see the bell from the outside windows, but you can't see the crack. You can get tickets (free) but it doesn't look like that will help with the line to get in. There is a lot of information to read all around so there is a lot to learn. The grounds are beautiful and full of interesting information to read at every turn

Excellent FREE piece of American History to explore. They have lots of plaques inside the visitors center describing how the bell was made, when it rang, where its traveled to, how the crack was formed, and more. Across the street from Independence Hall, close to George Washington’s old home, and right next to the Visitors Center, there’s lots to do in this little area!

Our visit to Philadelphia was in January and winter. The weather was expected to be cold and the museum offered a nice place to warm up for our adventure to visit the historical artifact. Staff was friendly, you do go through security so be prepared to accommodate the security team. It was a nice display of history and easy access for all. Free Admission.

I always get mixed feelings when I view stuff like this. I appreciate the fact that they are preserving history, but I don't feel that it's being done respectfully. There's way too much emphasis on the slavery part of it all. From pictures to videos. Constantly pushing the narrative of that's who we are. Consistently showcasing people of color in a negative and destitute state, rather than showing our accomplishments and triumphs, regardless of the attacks that are still presented on us today. I am disappointed in the lack of representation of my people and the whitewashing of history. Downplaying the vicious role that was and is still being orchestrated today by those who created the battle for justice.

This requires tickets. You can purchase the day you are there or even while standing in front of building. We were there in off season though so availability may differ in summer months. It’s about 45 minutes and you see 2 rooms. Standing only and 4 steps. If you love History, you will enjoy.

This is a free and very well kept historical site featuring the Liberty Bell. They host many educational videos to teach the history of the country, the area and of course the world famous Liberty Bell. The self tours are free and quick, but there is much history to see in the surrounding areas as well.

It’s cool to see but underwhelming. Thankfully it’s free, so points there!! It’s cool the view of independence hall right in the back but you really don’t spend more than like 5 minutes here. I attached the picture of the bell, that’s basically it y’all. Also they had high security here but the people working there were knowledgeable on Philadelphia history.

My group and I went specifically to see the Disney 100 Exhibit which was wonderful. The staff was friendly and were a great resource with questions and recommendations, and I thought that they were efficient in how they described the tour process. If my group had been staying for a longer time, we would have tried to see the other exhibits

This place was so fun with SO much to see. Perfect for kids and adults of all ages. It has so many interesting exhibits. There is a lot of hands-on stuff to help with learning about the body, space, art, and more, and it was a lot to see. Make sure to make time as you'll spend more than 3 hours here. My big problem was that the Lego Exhibit costs separately from the ticket to the institute itself. It's very expensive.

Loved visiting the Harry Potter Exhibition and Franklin institute. Lots of hands on experiences, and while they did have some hand sanitizer stations, I felt it helpful to have my own with me. My girls loved exploring this place! Also, we ate lunch at the Eatery, which was such a positive experience. We were a bit confused when we first came in, but a friendly woman was right there to point us in the right directions. She even had the cooks prepare my daughter a burger without cheese. Everything was great! The burger was amazing

I expected that our group of six would enjoy our time at The Franklin Institute, but I can truly say that it exceeded our expectations. This is not your average science museum. I think the main difference and why it’s so delightful is because it offers lives shows and hands on exhibits. The lives shows are designed to keep even the smallest of children engaged, laughing, AND learning. The hands-on exhibits provide children with the ability to learn through visual displays and touch. As an adult, I was incredibly impressed to see how the exhibits help you visualize and understand concepts that you may think you already know. This museum isn’t cheap, so make sure to schedule the most from your visit by prioritizing the live shows and then exploring the hands-on exhibits on your own time.

Definitely a fun day. Plan ahead and get your tickets online. 3-4 hours should be adequate to see everything but if you want to do all the planetarium shows as well, plan to spend all day to get it all in. We opted for the yearly membership since we are close enough to make multiple trips throughout the year.

My daughter visited the Disney Exhibition with her Summer Camp. And she really enjoyed herself. She loved everything about the Disney Exhibition. It's was thing to see it on TV or at the Movies 🎥 There's a special feeling to see it in real life ❤️.

My children loved this place, especially the Brain and heart exhibits. I enjoyed the flight exhibit and my husband loved the machine area. The cafe area is large with plenty of seating and lots of food, drinks and snack options. You are also able to bring your own food as many people packed lunches for their kids and themselves. For additional fees, you can purchase tickets to the planetarium and the traveling exhibits. This is definitely cool place to bring the kids or to come enjoy as an adult.

Amazing place for people of all ages! The architecture is amazing inside and out! Always something new to experience and learn about the many contributions from people/organizations around the world who add value to our daily lives. The hands on approach to learning is genius! Hands down an amazing Museum for adults and families with kids of all ages! The demonstration room with combustion and liquid air were phenomenal. The speakers were well versed and made the experience fun and engaging! I just can speak highly enough for this experience. It was a learning experience and made us feel like kids! If in Philly come to this Museum! It is worth every penny.

Amazing! It had so much things to do! The Harry Potter exhibit was outstanding! I recommend going there. The eatery was amazing cheap and good food. The workers where super nice and helpful. Tip when I got there parking near there was full so try to find somewhere else to park. Also you'll have to walk a few.blocks to the Franklin Institute.

The Franklin institute is one of the coolest science museums we've ever been to! There are 4 levels of super cool exhibits and the Harry Potter exhibit we went to was spectacular. It has a planetarium, trains, planes, space stuff, electricity, brains, heart exhibit... everything that is fun to look at scientifically. Even the restaurant inside was delicious. I highly recommend it! 👌

Great for kids and adults! Great museum with lots of interactivity for kids of all ages. Review just for the general admission. They do have a special exhibit you pay separately for. They had the Disney 100 out at the time but we decided to pass as I heard there wasn't much interactive station for the younger kids. Took my 3 and 8 year old sons and they both had a great time. It took about 4-5 hours to go through everything there. Three floors split into different themes and the shows were all great. Definitely worth seeing the live science show on the 3rd floor. About 20 mins long and both my kids were engaged as they did a good job talking with the audience. Plenty of tables and seats for lunch. We brought lunch as well as I bought a chicken sandwich and fries at their cafeteria, "the Eatery" and it was decent. Nothing to race about but it was hot food It was nice that you can just grab and go so no real lines. Parking: they do have street parking walking distance all around the museum but they do have a 3 hour limit. They do have a parking garage underneath and it is $20. Overall a great place for kids and adults to learn more about science and have a good time. You can definitely spend more than 4 hours there. Worth checking out if you haven't checked it out before.

This is as fun today as it was when we last went over 8 years ago. Our kids are older but still enjoyed it. Of course mostly same exhibits but the Disney was new (required timed entry purchased ahead of time which meant it wasn't overly crowded). It wasn't very science-related but if you're a animates/Disney fan you'd probably like it. The brain was one our favorite areas including the play/climbing structure. The heart was the favorite of my 5year old.

Fantastic experience for kids and adults alike! To begin, the architecture and lobby are breathtaking. We went for the Disney 100 exhibition, which was fantastic for all ages. The interactive science exhibits were also a lot of fun, these are certainly aimed more at children, but our party of all adults had a blast too. The GIANT heart is very cool. Hugely recommend this museum. We were rushed at 2.5 hours. I’d recommend allotting 3-4 hours to not feel rushed.

Great place for kids to learn and explore science. Then planetarium experiences great.!they have multiple types of shows for that. They also have Liquid and Combustion shows which are very entertaining for the kids. Their new space experience is amazing. They have many interactive displays that keeps the young minds engaged and curious to learn. Their Electricity section is also great where you can wait for the Faraday cage to go on every hour in the hour. Overall a great experience and a must do for late elementary and up kids.

This place is so much fun with the kids. They have a Lego exhibition that just opened up. Get here at open to get the slot of the Lego exhibition. Do not skip the planetarium tour where they show you constellations. There were a lot of interactive exhibits which were a lot of fun for our kids. You can easily spend half a day here.

Really enjoyed the space section and the heart! Some of the stuff wasn’t working which was a bummer but overall I really enjoyed this museum and the ability to interact and touch the displays. This is a great place to bring kids and I would definitely recommend if you wanted to let them run around because there are obstacle-like rooms. I went with my boyfriend and we enjoyed ourselves as adults! Definitely good as a more affordable museum and interesting.

It's one of the best places for family outings in the Philadelphia area. We liked the planetarium a lot. They had awesome shows, the souvenirs shop is very good too, bathrooms were clean. I think the only comments I may say: the cafeteria needs to have more selctions, and I think the institute needs to hire more associates to help guide the visitors. Definitely, we will go back there more times

This Institute is a wonderful place for science enthusiasts. This place is really huge in terms of different exhibitions. The place consists of various halls on different levels and each one of them is specific to a particular field or branch of Science. There are many wonderful models that explain the complex scientific concepts in a very easy and engaging way. I highly recommend this place especially for school going students as the place creates a curiosity towards learning Science.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the new additions here. I truly enjoyed the Lego Exhibit this year. The artwork was very moving and I was astounded by the pieces that were made with legos!! Took my boys and they were extremely excited and did not want to leave the exhibit themselves due to the overwhelming amount of legos they have for the children to play with in different ways.

Franklin Institute besides being an awesome Institute, also is a great place to host a wedding Reception. We love this place as we had the chance to photograph the amazing story of Olivia & Teddy. I highly recommend this place if you are planning your wedding and are looking for something unique and grandiose

After the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall, the Rocky Statue is the next Philadelphia stop for tourists. The statue is free to visit. There is always a line, but it goes fast. People spend about 30 seconds with the statue. You can ask the person behind you to take a picture for you. Sometimes there's an entrepreneur who will offer to take pictures for you. I paid one enterprising young man a dollar. Some people didn't pay him anything. I'm happy I did because he helped the line go much faster and he was an expert with camera phones. He took 10 photos of me in different poses and in both portrait and landscape modes, all in 15 seconds.

It's not in top of the stairs like in the movie. Only reason we saw it was because of the line. We pushed across the street and hopped it for pictures. It's free and people will definitely wait the few minutes for a pic. We even took pictures for each other. CAUTION: there are two guys offering to take pics with your camera however they expect a few dollars. I parked in the parking lot directly across from the Rocky statue. There was no attendant to pay for the parking fee. After parking, you walk on the sidewalk, across two crosswalks and the Rocky statue is directly in front of you. There was no wait when I went. There is no cost to take your pictures of the statue or with the statue. I highly recommend stopping here. The parking lot that is across the street, DO NOT leave purses, pocket books, or other visible valuables in your car. I went back to my vehicle, and there were two separate vehicles that had their windows broken.

If you are in Philadelphia, of course you also have to come here 😉 Impressive next to the "Rocky" guide in front of the statue is the view from the stairs. Funny to watch at the same time how many "storm" the stairs, regardless of age, gender and physical condition, to celebrate themselves upstairs in Rocky Pose. 😂 The view of the Museum of Art at the top and down the stairs towards the skyline are impressive. It is worth strolling along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway towards the city.

I really loved this one, and this Statue Of Rocky is right next too , the Philadelphia Muesum of Art, which you should definitely check out but to get to the point I absolutely love Rocky Balboa even My Dad those like a lot so being able to get a picture in Front of the Rocky Statue and recreate the Famous Scene of Rockys Famous Run up The 72 step stairs which I recreated two times and it felt so good just like how Rocky felt if you are Visting Philadelphia like I having been doing you have too go over there and recreate The Famous Run from Rocky and get a picture in front of Rocky as well . It will be awesome

There was a long line forming at the statue. But if you come here already, you mind as well get a photo with him. It’s quite incredible that people here take him as a real life historical figure. I overheard so many kids asked their parents of who this guy is. Cheers to the movie that created cult following for Philly.

A must...especially for movie/Rocky fans. Near the base of the Philadelphia Museum of Art stairs and nearby surrounded by the beautiful park. Lots of people running up and down the steps as expected. There was a line for taking pictures by the statues but it moved fairly quick as most people took a few quick photos and kept it moving...

This place is incredible! Lots of travelers from all over creating lines up to 15 min waits to the statue beside that great architects.

This is a famous statue of Rocky that has been moved around during the years. Now it sits at the base of the stairs to the Philadelphia Art institute that Rocky famously runs in the movies. The statue is larger than life sized, and free to visit. There was a line to get pictures. We wanted to hop back on the tour bus, so we didn’t wait for a picture, but still got to see the statue.

I came here just to view it along with the steps that are right next to it. I took an overnight bday trip to Philly. It was cool, nostalgic, and worth it, I suppose lol. I've been a fan of Rocky movies since childhood, and I absolutely adore Sylvester Stalone. Did you know he wrote his own script and refused to sell it unless he was cast as the main actor. It took him years to make it happen, but he did it! Never give up!

The renowned Rocky Steps and Rocky statue are essential stops. They resonate with Rocky fans and Philadelphians alike, offering a fantastic view of the city. Conveniently located near Eastern State Penitentiary, the Franklin Institute, and the Riverwalk trail, and with a view of Center City Philadelphia and City Hall, it's an ideal walk if you're staying near City Hall.

Located to the north of the famous “Rocky Steps”, which are the steps for entrance to the Philadelphia Museum of Art, on the right side of the steps, when facing the front of the museum and at the western end of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, the statue is as big of a spectacle as the spectacular Museum. Oftentimes, more people are lined up to take a picture with the Rocky Statue than there are patrons entering the Museum. The statute came into existence during the third installment in the Rocky franchise during a dedication ceremony from the City of Philadelphia to Sylvester Stallone’s iconic character.

We went early in the morning and there was no wait to take photos at the statue. From there we ran up the stairs for some more photo ops, including Rocky's footprints so you can stand right where Rocky stood. We were in a large group and everyone seemed to have a good time. I can't believe all of the 1 star reviews. If your car got broken into, that suck, but it has nothing to do with the statue. If you had to wait in line, or you just don't like pop culture, that doesn't warrant a 1 star rating. If the statue fell over and crushed your mother, then maybe you might want to give it 1 star. Maybe give the City of Philadelphia a 1 star rating while you're at it.

It’s neat to see the statue in person and go up the stairs like Rocky did in the movie. Not much else to do here besides going to the Philadelphia Museum of Art. There’s also a pop-up Rocky souvenir vendor close to the statue. Predictably, everything is over priced. Getting a close parking spot can be difficult, but you may get lucky and find a spot on Pennsylvania Ave.

A very good place with lot of memories packed in the park. There is always something happening in and around the area. Parking is available near by area , paid parking. We went to the park after the bell and visitor center is closed to enjoy the very large lawn space. It is mesmerizing to watch the independence mall from the park lawn and it is wonderfully large park area. Kids can enjoy lawn and it is too within the urban area. Security should not be an issue due to importance of the area. Nighttime lights on different mall area is very good to watch and for photography. May not be suitable for family after 9 pm due to we felt the smell of green stuff. All in all a must visit place if you are around the area.

You need to order tickets online to reserve a tour time ahead of your visit, but that was easy to do. You get to tour Independence Hall with a park ranger to learn the history of this important building and our "founding fathers". You then visit the building where Congress and Senate would meet. Be sure to appreciate all the detailed woodwork inside. Look around and transport yourself to the important time in the formation of our nation.

Baby start saying I don't remember go to Independence Hall Visitor Center and get a free ticket to the Ranger talk and discussion at Independence Hall. The Rangers are very knowledgeable. You'll see the courtroom where the Declaration of Independence was written and signed and debated. Then you will see the hall where 11 years later President George Washington presided over the writing and the debates of the United States Constitution. The Independence Hall building was constructed in 1734 and was the seat of government of Pennsylvania and was the high court of Pennsylvania. The signatories of the Declaration of Independence or actually committing trees and upon signing it and would have been put to death by the British government had the revolution failed. These founding fathers of our country put their lives on the line for our Independence.

If you're looking for a national historic park that celebrates the independence of the United States of America, with nice wide open areas to wander and very interesting historical facts to peruse, along with helpful security guards and park rangers - in the middle of Philadelphia, then you have found it here. Plan on a couple of hours to see everything at a gentle pace. Enjoy the spiels from the rangers. Learn about how a big, important bell cracked... but not when! We just don't know, apparently! Take pictures and post them to insta so you can prove you take this nation's history and founding seriously. 👍

Loved the history and we had an amazing tour guide. The tour takes about 20 min and is well worth it but book ahead as the spots sell out quickly. After your done I highly suggest walking through the court yard to Congress Hall. That building is 1st come/ first serve and no tickets are required. Arrive 15 to 30 min early as you will need to go through a metal detector and your items go through a xray like at the airport. Enjoy this amazing piece of history.

I would highly recommend this to be seen by every American at least once. But the tour itself seemed very flatline. For the how important this square is to American history the tour guides didn’t seem to convey this. They take into two rooms. A court room and the assembly room. After the reserved tour. I would recommend experiencing the great essentials building and the capital building as well. I will provide their own reviews.

Spectacular. Of course, the visit will mean more if you are familiar with the stories and the history, but no matter who you are, you will feel something when you are in the room where the United States was born. What an incredible experience to come here and see these sites. Just make sure you get tickets ahead of time for tours of the hall.

If you're in the Philly area and you don't go see this amazing piece of history you're doing yourself a disservice. The late afternoon tour was free and when I went the lines were short, and the tour guides were extremely knowledgeable and professional. Definitely worth the visit!

Nice park with a good amount of green space to lounge around or walk. It is next to a few sites that are worth visiting and is a good place to rest in between them. Lots of neat buildings to look at around the park and traffic didn't seem overly bad in this part of the city.

Felt like a congressman for a moment… don’t carry a lot of stuff because a lot of security checks happening … no street parking or free parking available… book a parking before you start… few of them have tickets, buy ahead if you have them in the plan… couple of them are free…Carla has walked us through a little history of 1790-1800…she’s fantastic. No food/smoke/drinks inside .no restaurant either.

It's nice that it's all so walkable. The "national park" is a whole section of town, so there's regular shops and stores in the middle of all the historic buildings - it's not like it's set apart like a Williamsburg, VA or anything. I do like that it feels pretty safe at night.

This was great! Taught me a lot about another country's history. It felt surreal to be standing in the same room that Washington and Franklin once sat discussing the future of a nation. Highly recommend visiting.

Independence National Historical Park and the surrounding area is a must visit location in Philadelphia, particularly if you're into American history. Independence Hall, in particular, was where the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution were debated and adopted. There are also quite a few historical buildings (plus the Liberty Bell) to visit as well within this park. A very neat experience!

You can feel the history all around you. Standing where some of history's most known persons once stood and observing where our nation's beginnings happened is awe-inspiring. The guides were very knowledgeable and took great care to preserve the ambiance of the location and its significance.

A great national historical park. All of the staff involved were great. I was recommended by a security guard to join a free tour, and I was able to have an excellent tour showing off Independence Hall and its significance. It is definitely worth visiting if you want to hear about the history of the United States and see some major attractions for free.

The is a MUST SEE if you are anywhere near the Philadelphia area! Whether you’re a history buff or not, the interactive experience and breathtaking facts are incredible to see and witness. I highly recommend taking a few hours to explore every facet that this area offers as there is so much rich history behind this small part of Philadelphia.

Walking among the historical buildings is really exciting as an American or a fan of American history. It’s beautifully maintained and the descriptive plaques are so helpful, you can enjoy it all without relying on a map or guidebook.

A great historical landmark with galleries that is free to enter and offers a great background on the history of the liberty bell and what it meant to American people and people of the free world. Expect a quick airport style security checking at entrance.

Independence hall was an incredible experience. I learned so much more information than I ever could’ve imagined about the days leading up to the signing of the declaration of independence and gaining our freedom from the tyrannical king of England. I highly recommend with anybody going through this area to definitely go by and check it out.

Very informative! Space is clean and lots of information boards, pics, and videos. Has historical meaning so I would say it's worth visiting.

If you want to visit inside the Constitutional Hall be sure to get your free Ranger LED lecture tickets for entry prior to going to constitutional Hall. The tickets can be obtained at constitutional Visitor Center one block away on the other side of the Liberty Bell on Market Street. This is a worthwhile historical tour with wonderful facts and information about the courageous acts of the founding fathers to declare independence from Britain.

Good! And, at a time, the only bathrooms open! Nice second floor balcony to see independence Hall and the park. You can buy tickets, tours and take the kids for a small hands on bit of history. The touch screen maps tell you what’s open, times and all. It was useful to stop there. They have a couple of short movies that help me organize what I want to make time for while in Philly. Worth it!

Recommend heading upstairs to the balcony level for free, panoramic views of Independence Hall and the Philly skyline. On this visit, we discovered that the Center offers an excellent short video about Independence Hall's history. There's also a small interactive exhibit for all ages that celebrates famous early Philadelphians. The Info Desk staff will assist in arranging tours and giving directions. It's also worth a stop to see the 2 Philly history murals by Mural Arts near the parking lot entrance.

Very cool spot lots of history. November and December require an online reservation and only costs a dollar and can be done onsite. Tours are about every 20 minutes.

This is definitely the first place that you should go on your stop to historical Philadelphia. Between the National Park Rangers and the Philadelphia Visitor Center staff you can get answers to all of your questions regarding must see locations and advice for order-of-operation type inquiries. There is a small cafe and gift shop, and the bathrooms are incredibly clean. This was a great place to make a plan of action for what and how to discover the city.

Enjoyed my visit. Great facility that gives you great information on not just the Independence Hall and Liberty Bell parks but also all of Philadelphia. Nice selections of gifts in the gift shop. Good restroom facilities as well.

Another great visitor center. It has clean restrooms, cool AC on the hot summer day. Completed with historical exhibition. There’s a short film about Philly. The park ranger was helpful and friendly. There were two gift shops to browse through and a cafe to hangout. And of course it has NPS stamp and penny press available.

Very nice building that has several information desks and a gift shop along with some food options. There was some informational plaques about the history of the area that were nice to read and the restrooms were easy to find and clean. This a great place to stop in since you're already in the area for the bell and independence hall.

The Spartan Stadium race was held at Citizens Bank Park this past Saturday. This was our first visit to this park and it was pretty amazing. There was plenty of parking very close to the entrance. It was clear sinage as to where to go and surprisingly organized for it to be so many people. They don't allow large bags or backpacks so they had a bag check at the entrance that went really smooth as well. The stadium was well staffed, there were volunteers from the race every few steps assisting with anything you needed. They had a metal detector and guards, we got through without issue or a hold up. There were so many bathrooms close in proximity so we never had to walk far to get to one. Plenty of trash cans and recycling containers every few steps that were not overflowing. There were hand sanitizing stations, utensil, napkins, and condiment stations near the areas with food. We ordered pizza after the race and it was super yummy. I was really shocked how well put together everything was at the stadium and the cleanliness of this place. I would totally visit this park again!

Love going to see games at Citizens Bank Park! I recommend taking public transportation to get here. Parking is pricey and a nightmare once the game is over. There is lots of helpful information regarding public transit online. They do allow things like fanny packs and diaper bags, but pack light. It’s worth getting to any games early to walk around and check out the stores and get food!

The baseball games here are so much fun!! I love coming here for games and it’s such an awesome place for all ages. They are very strict about what size purse you are bringing in though which was very annoying. I have a small/medium size purse and was told I couldn’t bring it in. They open up and search your bag anyway going through security so I don’t understand what the problem is. When I was told I couldn’t bring my bag in, the staff didn’t offer any solution for me until I went out of my way to ask what am I supposed to do. I was then told there was a truck with lockers I could use. I think they should’ve told me that when telling me I couldn’t bring it in so that I didn’t have to get as stressed about it as I did. I thought I was gonna have to go all the way back home. Besides that, everything was pretty high priced but that’s to be expected in any sort of sporting event for the most part. The games are so much fun though so it makes up for these annoyances.

Comfortable place to watch the game. Access is very good. . Easy to get in, lots of food and drink stands. Good views of the pitch, with no obstructions in the way. You need to be aware that thay will not let you in with a backpack or large bag, only small drawstring type bags. Positive experience overall.

Beautiful ballpark. More than ample parking at very reasonable prices. We sat in section 332, which offered very good views of the field and scoreboard at a fair price without being up in the nose-bleeds. Seats were comfortable. Concession costs are typical for professional sports, which is to say, expensive. The only issue we had was, getting to our section, there seemed to be limited paths (limited stairs, 1 escalator, or a couple of elevators) and all were very backed up.

NY Yankees fans, love baseball, came for the love of the game. Stadium, atmosphere, fans did NOT disappoint. We all had an amazing time and I highly recommend this stadium / atmosphere. Bring the family and enjoy the game. Thank you Philadelphia! Baseball is life ⚾️ 🇺🇸.

Truly a great baseball experience!! Lots of very interesting displays, trophies, statues, pictures, etc., celebrating the history of the Phillies. It's an open air stadium with plenty of food stands but honestly, the variety of food selections could be improved. We ate at Bull's BBQ and it was delicious! Seats are comfortable and there are plenty of bathrooms and a few souvenir/clothing stores. Parking is plentiful but as with most stadiums, it's a challenge getting in/out of the lots.

Citizens Bank Park is one of the BEST ballparks, with the NICEST, KINDEST, MOST HELPFUL employees, EVER!!!! I had a knee surgery with complications and should have been well on my way to walking. Instead, I was still on crutches and in pain. They got me a wheelchair from the moment we walked in, took me to our seats, and offered me the section above our seats. It was important I try and sit with my family, so I toughed it out for the first 4, and then they allowed ALL of us to sit up top so we could all be together. Also gave me a chair to put my leg up! The men stayed down at the seats for a bit, then joined. When I was ready to leave, they immediately got me a wheelchair back right to my car, that I was able to park in a handi-capable spot. The entire ballpark made sure I had I great time while in no pain. Would definitely return!!

This was my first visit to the Park since COVID, for a Phillies game. I was impressed with the helpfulness and courtesy of the Philly staff. I brought my regular purse and discovered it was too big. The security guard was apologetic and directed us to the locker area. The highlight was when the Phillies scored a home run. I finally got to see the Liberty Bell swing! The jumbotron kept us entertained and the crowd energized when the field action lagged. We took the Broad Street line which made travel quick and easy.

I had a great experience here at this beautiful park and as an opposing fan wearing Giants gear, I didn’t feel unsafe here at all (ignore the dire warnings you may have received about crazy fanatical fans). The nighttime view of the city is awesome, the ushers were helpful and friendly and plenty of relatively inexpensive (for ballpark standards) prices for stadium food.

Had my first tailgate experience 👌🏾💪🏾💯@ A Phillies Game!!! ❣️ Amazing time. Parking was not bad. Definitely crowded. But it seemed like everyone just enjoyed themselves. The seating we purchased was about 35.00 each for 5 people. Not bad!! Food and Souvenirs were costly. But that's to be expected!! No complaints from me!!! Just a really good time.🫶🏾

I would like not to give this stadium any stars. The park had no spirit and was more like a drunken frat party. We had people behind us that were so loud I couldn't hear the game. The food lines were ridiculously long to get food, there was hardly anyone sitting and enjoying the game. I am so glad that it was my first baseball game or I would have been turned off on the sport. We ended up leaving in the 3rd inning. The stadium was absolutely beautiful but the crowd there was not family friendly.

I absolutely love this stadium. I've been here many times for concerts and baseball games. The employees are always friendly and helpful. The food is actually something I really look forward to. The drinks are great, especially the cocktails at Miller Lite Landing. I would recommend the margarita. As per any stadium, be prepared to drop some cash. It isn't cheap. But the prices are competitive for the area so all in all not too bad. Can't wait till the next time I visit!

Not a bad pace to see an outdoor concert in good weather. They add volume to compensate for poor acoustics. Employees are very professional, polite, and even helpful. No overbearing security as in some other venues. Many distributed places to buy beer or snacks. Restrooms are acceptable, all things considered. If you need an elevator, don't get tickets on the 4th level. Elevator goes up to 3rd only. Ticket tip: Move your tickets from the app to your wallet because you might not get a cell signal exactly when you are going in. They can tap your phone to extract the ticket instantly without cell access. Have fun!

One of the greatest baseball fields in the country. If you come here during a season it's a must attend! Any of the sports complexes are a good time but the food here is phenomenal, the Phillies are usually good enough at home to be engaged in the game and if not... Eh there's plenty to see and do in the stadium!!! Not a bad seat in the house honestly! The picture i included is from seats I got for 25$ each! Highly recommended

Amazing stadium 🏟 very big and so organized. Enjoyed the baseball game with a great experience. The gift stores had tons of merchandise very big. The food was ok, lines did take a bit long, service was a bit slow, but staff was friendly. 📍⚾️🧢🥤😎

Great time sitting in the 1st Row of the Hall of Fame section. We had our own concession stand, bathrooms, and both World Series Trophies are up there. I got 2 $75 tickets for $119 at COSTCO, saving $26 dollars. My grown son and I h ad a blast, as the Phillies cane from behind hitting 6 home runs to win 12 to 6 over the LA Angel's. We had our choice from many games, do we choose the Angels as we never saw them play before

Big facility, clean and well kept. The only problem is how the food is set up. If you go to get pretty much any kind of food in the middle of a ball game, you're guaranteed to miss at least 3 innings. They really need to find a faster way to do their food service. It takes way too long to get any snack in this stadium. If they could fix that, it'd be so much better

Awesome facility! There are no bad seats in this stadium, and honestly I love that you can buy standing room only tickets and wander around the entire ballpark and just enjoy your time there. There are tons of food options as well as bars everywhere you look. I’ve been there for regular season games and post season games and they are both a blast. However if you want to experience one of the best environments in baseball, you need to go for a playoff game. It convenient to just take the broad street line down from center city to get to the game

Nice stadium. Very clean and feels very safe. No really bad seats in the house. Normal complaint about outrageous prices . But you can bring in your own food and plastic bottle drinks. No bags or coolers or even purses allowed. Clear bags only.

There was so much to do and see, and of course, we had to get some ice cream. You can't go to a baseball game without getting a hot dog and some popcorn. Great game. Very nice stadium. Phillies won. After the game 55 and older got to walk the bases. Awesome to get the feel of how far bases are apart. Great experience. Prices are way to expensive. Could only afford to go to this one game. Tickets are $75. Each. Don't know how a family of 4 can afford to go. Wow.

Great park! Had a really good selection for food. It was also one of the easiest stadiums to park at and leave from as well. Overall great setup for a stadium, inside and out.

Home of the Philadelphia Phillies. One of my personal favorite ballparks in the country that I have visited. This was ballpark 20/30 for me. We sat in the upper level and in our seats in the lower level and enjoyed the site lines from both spots. The food selection was awesome with so many different choices and what was really cool was they even had a gluten free stand which was the first time I've seen that. The team store is huge with tons of options. Lots of parking available and was super easy to get in the ball park and leave as well. Looking for something fun to do I would highly recommend attending a game!

This was our first Phillies game together! Things we learned: Seating: We had amazing seats in the first row of the 112/113 section. You could see everything! The only thing to be aware of is there was a ton of walking to get there! (We also may have parked in a farther lot-who knows!) There were also multiple food and drink vendors to both sides of our section and don't miss the gift shop-it's 2 stories of merch!

Home of the Philadelphia Phillies! The stadium is located right in the center of Philadelphia sports! Great atmosphere and lots of things to do inside the park!

A great ballpark. There are no bad seats. Good food options but pricey. Great passionate fans. The Hall of Fame section is a nice premium upgrade.

I was lucky enough to attend an NLCS playoff game with my family and it was an unbelievable experience, where the stadium felt electric the entire game! They won 10-0 and the fans never lost the enthusiasm, even though we were so far ahead! All of the staff was friendly and efficient and the stadium was super clean! Getting out of the parking lot was crazy and we waited for an hour without moving, but it didn't change the amazing time we had. Go Phils!

Really cool atmosphere. The fans here are kind of crazy but I love the energy lol. The soft serve was kind of overpriced but it was still pretty good. They do really cool chants and stuff , it was pretty easy to find our seats. It’s also quite loud here so I think some should take that into consideration

Luminature at the Philadelphia Zoo, and this event was a real treat! I have always loved the Zoo but gave never attended this event, or been at the Zoo in the Winter. We went as a group of adults. There were pop up bars around the zoo for spiked Cider, wine, seltzer and hot chocolate. The food vendors were serving all kinds of choices throughout the park. This was a very nice, relaxing Friday night with friends. There were light shows all over, with heaters which were perfectly placed to keep you warm while watching. Will definitely go again next year.

My sister and I took her 6 year old twins to the Philadelphia zoo this week, one of who has special needs and uses a wheelchair. So accessibility is important to us, which this zoo did very well being generally accessible in almost every way. This is a perfect zoo for young kids. It's big enough to not be boring, but small enough to not be overwhelming. The layout is easy to understand, and most of the attractions are wheelchair accessible. One thing I LOVE about this zoo, is the animals seem a lot closer to you than many other zoos making for a lot more smiles from the kiddos. I was also surprised how active some of the animals were. The tiger crossed his tiger bridge that extends over the walkway many times during the day. The Gorillas were also pretty active, and some of the monkeys were even swinging around. Cons- a wheelchair can't go down to the penguin area by the glass to watch them under water. A very small thing overall, but still a bit of a disappointment. Also, I was surprised there were no elephants at this zoo, which I've always considered to be a zoo staple. I do consider the zoo to be overpriced for a one time visit, but I'm contrast the yearly membership is very well priced and well worth it- which I am sure is their point to try to get people to pay the little bit extra for the membership. Overall, I was very happy with our experience. I will definitely be taking advantage of our membership.

We came here during the Memorial Day weekend 2021. This was our first time here. It was raining on the way here and for a short period time after arriving but it eventually stopped and we were able to enjoy the Zoo. Parking was pretty easy and was just a short walk to the main gate. Once through the main gate there is an inside exhibit, we hung out in there for while because they had a few new baby animals and it was neat to see how they act with their mothers. A few exhibits was closed at this time but nothing that would stop you from having a good time! They have so many animals to see and enjoy! One of my favorites were the 3 giraffes, which was amazing to see because most Zoos I been to either have 1,2 or none at all. Be prepared because it is a lot of walking so bring your best walking/running shoes. Can’t forget the beer! Beer was good and cold! However, this Zoo is kind of pricey because you have to pay for parking and admission, which is unheard of. All of the Zoos I have been to you either paid for admission and parking was free or you paid for parking and admission was free. I still recommend visiting the Philadelphia Zoo. You will have a great time!

Very nice zoo! Lots of exhibits and walking . There were quite a few empty exhibits but overall we had a fun time. The website indicated you need to reserve tickets in advance only in a certain section so a little confusing. Also went during pride month the zoo did a nice job of decorating each exhibit, very festival. The monkeys loved ripping up the ribbon it was entertaining.

We had plenty of parking the parking attendant was super helpful and friendly. The animals at the zoo were super awesome . My husband and I enjoyed this very much. The exhibits everything was great!

We always have a fun time at the zoo! The oldest and first zoo in America has a lot to offer! There are really great animals to view and very knowledgeable staff to answer questions and give deep insight of animal behaviors and habitats. There were some animals missing that we were looking forward to seeing, like the lions, but otherwise we were able to get some amazing photos of a bunch of them! If you've never been here, take the day to enjoy these beautiful creatures!

I have been to the Philadelphia Zoo a handful of times, and it never disappoints! You’re easily able to create your ideal experience - you can follow the keeper chat schedule to have a much more educational day, or you can peruse at your leisure, something I really appreciate! I was really impressed by the insect exhibit and the aviary. My favorite is the naked mole rats! I could watch them for hours! Both had been closed last I went, presumably because of Covid. Parking is a bit expensive in my opinion, but totally totally worth it at the end of the day. The animals all seemed to have plentiful space and enrichment and welfare seemed great. If you’re from or in the Philly area, the zoo is a fantastic day trip!

A wonderful experience. We came in April 2022. Buying the tickets online was very easy. You can change your reservation up to 11:59PM the previous day. You can also pay for parking ahead of time. The Zoo is well laid out making it easy to see all the animals. It’s also well designed for strollers. The food was very good with plenty of options. There is beautiful artwork throughout the zoo: sculptures, paintings, art installations: well thought out and distinctive. The conservation efforts are well show cased too. The Big Cat area is not to be missed. The Primate Reserve is excellent as well. The animals have large walkways to traverse the park in and it is a very cool feature. We enjoyed our experience very, very much. The zoo does not take much time to see if you are short on time: you can still enjoy all of it. So don’t hesitate: you do not need all day but can easily make it a leisurely experience and picnic as well. Highly recommend!

A pretty good place to see animals from around the world. We were able to see most animals, except the otters and the birds were not out. I believe the birds were in protection due to the bird flu. Completely understandable. The layout is traditional zoo- large oval with a few different paths. We ended up going on a weekday, it was not too busy which was lovely for seeing the animals. We were able to do all of it in 2 hours, although we were moving at a pretty good pace due to time. I would say you could spend several additional hours here watching the animals and reading all the information. The exhibits appeared to be very clean, and there were multiple places to either get food or vending machines available for drinks /food. The day we went it was very warm, we were thankful that a lot of the zoo is shaded. We ended up purchasing our tickets ahead of time, just to save time. I think if you go during the week you do not have to do this as it's not as busy, and you can purchase them at the door. However, to guarantee it may be a good idea to do it ahead of time. You can also purchase your parking pass online as well if you plan on parking in one of the lots. The kids loved that the zoo had a gift store as well, and for the most part it was pretty reasonably priced for a zoo. On a side note, we learned when we went, that this is the oldest zoo in the nation which is really cool!

Super clean, even on a nice day didn't seem insanely crowded. Lots of options for kids - petting goats was free, highly recommend paying the $4-6 to feed some of the birds at the wings of Asia exhibit, and feed the giraffes (when they're hungry)!

Highly recommend this zoo because it is amazing. The staffs were so friendly and the zoo is very clean. My son is a animal lover so we take him to a zoo everywhere we visit. And by far, this was one of the greatest zoo we visited. It takes 3-4 hours to complete seeing the whole zoo. It has some rare animal which we have not seen in any other zoo.

I have loved this zoo since I was a child. It was an amazing experience to take my own daughter there for the first time. We had a great time. It was a very interactive experience, with something for everyone. Unfortunately, we didn't get to see the birds. But they are currently being kept safe during the Avian flu outbreak. Every precaution was taken for our safety and the animals. Great family day trip!!

I absolutely loved this zoo in the rain and all. It was an amazing experience and no other zoo I have been to allows the animals to travel through tunnels so they can travel the zoo just like visitors do. It was so cool. Will definitely be going back and bringing everyone I can. The animals were beautiful and well cared for.

Visited with my four kids and ended up getting the family membership instead. Is worth it because of the extra perks. We got free parking and the kids were able to do a free scavenger hunt. There’s more things to do but we were pressed for time. Overall it’s a clean environment and lots to do. The staff in all of the food areas, though, we’re super rude and short. They need some training in their customer service. The picture I’m sharing is of their orangutan enclosure. They had just celebrated one of their 31st birthdays. But they got presents with food inside of them and it looks like a whole party had happened. It was super nice to see that they were thoughtful to throw them a little birthday party. There is about a five minute walk from the parking lot to the zoo so be prepared and also make sure you wear walking shoes because there’s a lot of walking throughout the day.

Good fun experience at the zoo. Saw loads of animals ranging from tigers, pumas, lions, reptiles, bats, various birds, baby penguins, zebras, giraffes, hippopotamus to name a few. Get a free map at the entrance and follow through it - quite easy. The place is mostly clean and has fun rides for kids too. Tips: 1. The public transportation is shady and infrequent even before it gets darker. So try to leave as early as possible unless you have a car. 2. Majority of the restaurants and food trucks remained closed even on a Sunday morning, with literally just one option to choose from. So be prepared for that.

Wonderful zoo with a variety of amazing animals! I ve been to so many zoo, it is definitely one of the best. Kiddo Train is adding one more fun for little kid! I will go again! Super kid friendly, my 2 year old was able to explore zoo himself.

This is a fun way to spend the weekend. So many animals to see. Little exhibits. A bird, reptile, insect area. Spent the whole day here and had an amazing time. Recommend for families who want to take the kids out for a fun weekend

Quite good. Definitely better than most American zoos. Its major problem was that it didn’t flow. There were knots of people jammed up all over, particularly at the indoor spaces. Lots of zoos have this problem, but I really noticed it here.

We went to the zoo about 2hrs before closing on Easter weekend. Wasn't crowded. We rented a stroller which was very easy, it's just right next to where you scan tickets. Most the animals were out and it was easy to navigate around the park. *Our learning curve was paying for parking before leaving. It was a bit confusing.

The friendly staff and exhibits are fantastic! Great way to spend the afternoon. I highly recommend the "Behind the Scenes Big Cat Tour".

I love the zoo but haven't been there in years. My two complaints I have won't really stop me from returning again, the price to get in is a little high and the fact that off season they don't have not one snack shack was opened. I didn't know this because I never went in March before. It was great and the animals were very active and we had fun.

this was the zoo I went to during my childhood for school field trips and family days out, we went yesterday and it was the first time I had went in over 10 years, and it was such an amazing time. I was so glad I got to see the trolls while they are at the zoo, and since we ended up getting a membership, I will be going back to see them again (I love Thomas Dambo's work!). I got the dual membership, which is only about $35 more than the cost for my partner and I to each get a ticket and park in their parking garage, and with the membership you get to go anytime during the year, plus you get free parking, so it's fantastic deal. The park was beautiful, the animals were very active, and the employees were welcoming and had plenty of information about the different animals around the park. My only complaint is the pricing for the food they have available is very high, what I would expect to pay if I was at a big theme park like Disney or Universal. $20 for a sandwich, fries, and can of soda, and that's with the 10% discount members get. Overall, I'm so looking forward to going back as much as I can while we have our membership!

I think this is my favorite zoo I’ve visited in the tri-state area so far. There are so many places around the zoo to stop, get a snack, and use the restroom. The exhibits are very nicely decorated and give a great view of the animals. You can tell they put a lot of work into taking care of the animals. Will definitely be back and highly recommend!

We always put in our list to go to a zoo whenever we travel. Though most animals we have seen from different zoo are the same, what amazes me is we still had a different kind of experience. Philadelphia Zoo is an amazing zoo, great experience for the whole family and friends. What I like the most is the walking bridge they billed for the tigers, monkeys and panda. This is one of the great places to visit in Philadelphia.

A great place to see some beautiful animals. Very big facility and well taken care of. Tigers showing up on tubular cages above your head are so special to watch.

Hadn’t been here in years, so took a client here that loves forensic sciences, and this was a hit! It’s even more amazing than I remembered and the gift shop is reasonably priced. Spent a few hours here, and will definitely return. The pandemic exhibition was very informative and intriguing. I never knew about the garden outside. Beautiful outing.

Overall I would say the visit was worth the.l price, but evidently I went on a day when there was a medical student symposium which just made the rather small museum all the more crowded. For me the skull collection display was the most interesting part, but everything was rather fascinating. My only real complaint is some of the text in the exhibits is quite small, and some of the exhibits have blown bulbs or something because they are rather dark and hard to see what is displayed.

Six stars! This is one of the best small museums I’ve ever visited. They have fascinating exhibits full of really interesting things. My son and I loved it. My daughter was less enthusiastic, but will probably still remember it for years. It would be impossible to build this collection today. Positively, a lot of the diseases and deformities displayed have been largely eliminated due to medical progress. Less positively, I think too many people would object to the display. I would definitely go back.

If you love weird, odd, and strange medical pieces, this is for you. I have had this spot on my bucket list for 8 years. It did not disappoint. I wish there was more honestly. It had some areas where you could take photos, which was cool. Photos are not allowed past a certain spot. Tickets need to be purchased. They have lockers for free (just need a quarter like Aldis). My favorite pieces were the wet specimens. Worth every minute there.

There are no photos allowed inside the actual museum so i can't share them here, but please go and see for yourself, this place is so interesting to see! If you're faint of heart, tread lightly as there are certainly some shocking things inside! A beautiful blend of cool, creepy, weird, and informative! Would definitely recommend to anyone on the odder side or interested in the medical field!

There were a lot of interesting disease specimens, though a large portion of them were wax models. My biggest complaint is "no photography." I like to take pictures of the captions so I can read them later. It's especially problematic here because so many exhibits are at knee level. Reading while squatting is very uncomfortable. Then lastly the exhibits are all in cabinets with old fashioned glass that distorts the words making them even harder to read. If you could photograph them at least you could read it standing up.
