Beautiful memorial. The trip up the tower is totally worth it. It's a tight ride on the way up, with a few extra steps (about 1 flight), but the view is gorgeous. The views of the skyline are almost as good from the base of the tower, too. Would love to go back to go through the museums when we have more time. Love that it is one of the only WW I memorials in the country, and it's right in our back yard.

This is a beautiful, yet serene place. It is a great reminder of the sacrifice that the military men and women of our country have continually been willing to do for our freedoms and for the freedoms of others in other countries. It is also a a great reminder of How our country started. And how blessed we are to be in this country and how those in charge of our country used to put God first. I highly recommend all locals and tourists to visit the site. And read the placard‘s that they took the time to put in when it was founded. This is also a great place to just walk around and burn off some of that great Kansas City food.

A very nice way to honor WWI veterans and to see the city (Kansas City MO) and to see the huge phallic symbol called the Liberty Memorial. Freud would have had a field day! May the city enjoy lots of inspiration. It’s beautiful at night and you can take really breathtaking pics. There doesn’t seem to be a curfew for this area so feel free to enjoy he sights anytime. And go see the museum.

This is a great place to visit if you have the time and are interested in learning more about WWI. I went on a school trip here, and we walked around with a guide. But I also enjoyed the fact that you had the choice to have an audio walkthrough or to just walk through without any guide. There's plenty to see and plenty to do, if you ever have time to stop by I would suggest spending some time here! 5/5

Nice memorial with paid museum inside. However if you just want to stroll by, you can explore the museum ground for free. From the memorial ground you can see the Kansas City skyline (a very nice view when it is not cloudy). The museum itself is informational and the staff members were friendly and helpful. Definitely recommended if you are visiting Kansas City!

Amazing! Yes, simply Amazing place to get some evening walk with beautiful view of Kansas City and Amazing sunset. This is a historical place and wonderful art work done in the memories of world war I veterans. I believe this is one of the best places to visit in US and I highly recommend to everyone. I didn't get chance to go in but I will do it soon. I can't wait to go up in that monument tower and get a wonderful views from the top.

Visited in May, 2023. Nestled in Kansas City, Missouri, the WW1 Memorial and Museum is a fantastic sightseeing spot to experience. The memorial opened in 1926 and is the United States' official memorial and museum dedicated to World War 1. It rests upon a plateau that overlooks Kansas City. From the top of the memorial you will have amazing views of the surrounding area, including downtown Kansas City. For a small fee, you can go to the top of the tower for more breathtaking views. The tower is over 200 feet tall. If you are able bodied, a short walk away is Union Station and Crown Center. A short distance more is the Power and Light District. Local historic restaurant, Town Topic, is nearby as well. You can easily see all of these places in a few hours or make the area an all-day outing. The WW1 Memorial includes the Liberty Memorial Mall and parks in the surrounding area. When the National Football League held their player draft in 2023 in Kansas City, they included the entire WW1 Memorial and parks as well as Union Station. Over 300,000 people attended that NFL draft and were comfortably accommodated. If you are going to be in KC or are passing through KC, I highly recommend carving out a little bit of time to enjoy this experience.

We only visited the park and grounds since the museum was closed when we drove through Kansas City. It is pretty much a park so it's a good place to stop for a picnic. The tower is of course the centerpiece, worthy enough to visit on its own. The area behind the museum has some nice wall sculptures and fountains. It also offers a good view of the Kansas City skyline, especially with Union Station in the foreground.

My husband and I were in Kansas City for a couple of days and went to the National WWI Museum. We honestly didn't know much about this world war so glad we did to learn about it. All of the volunteers were very friendly and knowledgeable. We purchased our tickets online and went right when it opened at 10am. There was an entry for those who had tickets already and we got right in with no wait. Reading the other reviews, we went first to the Memorial Tower, again with no wait. The view of Kansas City was fantastic even on a cloudy day. We then viewed the exhibit right next to the tower before going back down to the main level. We did rent the headphones which we listened to as we walked through the exhibits. It was very informative as well as the videos that played in the museum. Definitely worth going to and we learned a lot!

Really great setup for history buffs. There is a lot of focus on all countries involved as opposed to just the USA. Actual objects from world war 1 are on display everywhere. Highly recommend to anyone if in the area. The tickets are not expensive either.

I visited on a Saturday for my birthday. It was my first time here and not my last. I can't give a totally honest review because I didn't see it all. We ran out of time, so definitely set aside more than 3 or 4 hours to see it all. But I'm also the kind of person that reads every bit of information, so it probably takes less time if you don't. From what I did see, though, it was an amazing museum. The view from the tower is great and the staff were very nice. The staff also know their stuff they seem to actually enjoy the history of it, so they gave great answers to our questions. This museum was really good. I definitely recommend it if you plan ahead. Definitely don't go like an hour or 2 before they close you wouldn't get to see much and if I remember correctly the tower closes at 4:25 but I could be wrong on that. I loved it, and I will definitely be coming back.

Must-see. It's expensive, but it's so worth it. Very nice design. Great displays filled with information. Unfortunately the entire outdoor pavilion and tower were closed when I got there. I spent 2.5 hours there but I also tend to read everything. I would guess most people would need at least 1.5 hours to get a reasonable view of everything. One small beef: The mock trench looked like it would be really cool, but it was difficult to see with the small viewing windows.

A must-see in Kansas City, the National WW1 Museum and Monument is a beautiful, informative, well-maintained national landmark dedicated to a war that has largely been forgotten about by the American public despite its huge influence in shaping the world we live in today. Anytime someone comes and visits me, I bring them here and all of them have said it's incredible. Tickets are very reasonably priced at $18 per adult or $20 if you buy a combo ticket to go up in the tower (which you should, the view is amazing). While the museum and its associated exhibits cost money and are open from 10-5, the actual memorial and its surrounding grounds are completely free to explore by the public and open at night too. Pro tip: If you have the time, I highly recommend making a second trip to the memorial after sundown as you can treat yourself to the best view of the city skyline while it's all lit up at night

Absolutely loved going to this museum. We love history, and this was a great stop. I recommend getting there early definitely in the summertime if you plan to go to the tower to see amazing views of the city. They closed down at noon when we went because of the heat. It is within walking distance to the money museum, and Union Station. They have several things to do, and you learn. I could have spent a couple more hours really digging into the history. Super helpful staff! They have a ton of knowledge and want you to enjoy the museum. We bought 3 combo ticket to go up in the tower and an extra exhibit for $25. I would highly recommend the tower to see KC from a great vantage point.

If you are in Kansas City and have any interest in history, particularly WWI history, then please do yourself a favor and visit this excellent memorial and museum. My only regret is that I should have allotted more time to visit. I had about 2 hours and I wished I would have allotted 3-4 hours. I am more of a WWII history buff but wanted to learn more about the First World War. I was able to find out details I hadn’t heard previously and would have loved to have more time to learn more. I paid for the museum entry and the add on for going up the tower. I would recommend doing both for sure. I visited while in town during the week but would have LOVED to check out the virtual tench experience that they offer only on the weekends. I am sure it would have been fascinating and also very humbling to see what the tench experience would have looked like. We are so far removed that I don’t believe folks appreciate what it was really like to endure such warfare and hardship. The few guides I talked to were very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I highly recommend visiting this museum and memorial if you are in Kansas City. Take time to take it all in and really try to understand the conditions of the world, what people sacrificed, and what led up to the war. It was a time of great technological change as well as unrest between nations not unlike what we have been experiencing for several years ourselves now in our current time. We must not forget our past so we do not make the same mistakes again.

A must-visit in KC. Though I couldn't capture much inside the museum, the experience at the WWI museum was truly exceptional. The museum impressively covers a vast amount of history with a smart layout, and the friendly, knowledgeable staff adds to the visit. This place is great. So much great info and a really neat experience. The only world war 1 museum they’ve made!! Charlie is a great guide and full of info so if you run into him, ask him some questions about the war. Hundreds of thousands of amazing artifacts from the war here and really neat and important stories. Only recommended going if you’re interested in the topic tho or you might be bored.

The National World War I museum is a worthy tribute to the War to End All Wars. I was very impressed by the scale, gravity, and vision of this monument. I visited on a beautiful summer day and went up the tower at night; I recommend the tower at night if the weather is nice. There are a lot of stairs, and the museum may not interest children much.

This place is awesome. If you're a history nut like I am, this is a must. If you're looking for places to go in Kansas City this would be one of those places. My endorphins were so high by the time I left here it was Unreal

The museum is split up into three parts, the indoor exhibit, the monument itself, and the upstairs exhibit. We started by getting our tickets downstairs inside, then went up to the upstairs exhibit, we went up the monument tower to the top, then went back down and enjoyed the museum. Plan on the entire experience taking a day. It's a very well designed museum, covering the different sides of the conflict, and why each country was involved in this massive and horrible war.

Incredible and fantastic! Could not recommend more, 10 out 10. We literally just went to the Louvre and I enjoyed it here more. Not crowded, cool and refreshing air-conditioning. Beautiful artwork, wonderfully displayed. I felt like I got to go to a private section of the Louvre. Had I not gone I would have no idea how nice it was, we went across the world to see the thinker, when you had a copy right here, just a few states away!!! The glass maze was fun. Our son enjoyed the scavenger hunt, he puts on the pin he won on each shirt wears each day.

This place is wild! We came for the shuttlecocks and stayed for the mini golf. Spent a little over 90 minutes here and didn't even step foot in the building, had way too much fun in the sculpture garden. Currently have an instillation where you can mini golf your way through the iconic pieces of the sculpture garden, I think we had more fun as three grown adults than the group of kids next to us. Great way to spend an afternoon and spark discussion about the necessary levels of stuffiness surrounding art.

Spent the afternoon at the new Monet exhibit; was even more impressed by the modern/contemporary art. All museum personnel I interacted with were incredibly friendly & gracious. The museum is on the most incredible grounds. I live in Nashville & did not realize there was a world-class museum just across the Mississippi from me!

A wonderful museum! It’s free to visit (the special exhibitions on the bottom floor are separate tickets that must be paid for, but are worth it). Plan to spend a whole day here if you want to see most of the exhibits. You will need more than one day to fully experience the whole museum. A must-do in the KC area!

I cannot overstate how gorgeous the entire inside exhibits spaces were, especially the restaurant Rozzelle. Like walking into Rome! Fantastic museum! The museum was built in the early 1900s, and the architecture inside was so beautiful. They have incorporated pieces into the actual building, and have a wide variety that everyone will enjoy. The cafe was peaceful and beautiful, with decent prices. The grounds surround the museum were great, and the sculpture garden was fun to walk around in.

One of Kansas City's top places to visit! Our biggest museum! Gorgeous inside and out! Never crowded! There is cover parking. The museum is closed Tuesday and Wednesday. Open 10am to 5pm rest of the week. Plan a couple hour visit it is a huge place multiple floors and art inside and out! Different exhibitions and programs check their calendar! Handicap accessibility. You can eat and shop here as well! Great place for a picnics too! Great place for pictures!

This is a truly amazing museum with so much to see both inside and outside. Admission is free but you should still book online prior to your visit. They have a parking garage that is reasonably priced at $14. You should plan on at least 3 hours if you want to walk the entire museum.

This museum has some of the most stunning architecture you could ever believe. It felt like I was in Europe for a brief moment. The workers were relaxed and kind and there is so much for you to see everywhere! Definitely recommend going out back to see the greenery or sit on a bench near the fountain.

A world class museum with exhibits from every era and culture. We spent four hours and could have easily spent 4 more. Free general admission, spotless facilities and a spectacular restaurant along with a gift shop make for a great inside experience. Outside, the lovely grounds and sculpture garden are well worth the stroll.

Great place to visit when in Kansas city. It’s free but if you register online before coming over it’s much easier to sign in. It has a small restaurant so that you can enjoy your food in the museum vibe. Check the working days as they are not open every day. Consider a min 2 hours, better if you can spend more time here.

This is a FREE museum! It’s very clean, quite & full of art! It’s huge, so there is plenty to enjoy. They have a wide variety of art on display from classic paintings & ancient Egypt, to modern art & minimalism. Would recommend if you’re looking for something to do on a rainy day. **NOTE: if you bring a backpack they will make you take it off your back when looking at the art & outside food & drinks are not allowed**

Great museum, I had a lot of fun with my son. I was grateful the entrance fee was free and found free parking nearby. It was a great experience and educational. We went on a Monday (no school) and it wasn’t packed. I took lots of pictures and was amazed how art has changed over the centuries. The flow was somewhat logical although not chronological if you’re not careful. There are paintings, sculptures, and stonework. Be sure to download the app Smartify, since you can take a picture of artwork and it will give additional details as you go around. I’m thankful that there seems to be appropriate seating conveniently placed around if you need to get off your feet. I’ll definitely be back.

Had a great afternoon exploring the gallery. The person at the front was very helpful when she learned it was our first time there. She showed us the map, and walked us through the exhibits that are there. It's fascinating to see all of the art and items on display, and even though I'm not very well versed, I found it to be very exciting to see everything. Spent about 2.5 hours there, but easily could have been there longer. My 15 year old son had a great time too.

Better than I ever imagined. We enjoyed every hour of our walk through the museum. There was a lot to see. The history, techniques, and talent were simply amazing. This is a perfect place to go on a hot day. Park in the cool underground parking lot (14.00) and enjoy the perfect indoor climate while enjoying the beautiful art.

Nelson-Atkins Museum is such a hidden gem and probably one of the top museums on the country! The collection is phenomenal, especially the Asian art that’s collected from specific periods that’s hard to obtain. On top of it all, it’s free to visit! Really love the exterior and the shuttlecocks and the sculpture garden. I’ll recommend spending a whole day here and grabbing lunch at Rozzelle. Use the map to plan out which sections are the most important to you and check them out first before they get crowded and then you can cover the rest. There is also a nice coffee shop in the museum. The staff is nice and helpful. Parking is $14 for the whole day and it’s covered and cool. Make sure to get a reservation beforehand to make entry easy and seamless.

I was really surprised by the museum. I've been to many large museums, and just always assumed Missouri wouldn't have a great one. Was I wrong lol. This place was amazing, there are a lot of great exhibits and works of art to see here. Not only that, you can visit for free! I spent a good 3.5 hours just looking around, I will certainly be coming back and donating. I would like to see more historical items, there seems to be an abundance of paintings, which are nice, but it seems to outweigh the amount of historical objects they have by a lot.

This place is absolutely amazing. It's huge and has 3 floors full of art. Parking in the garage is free for 30 minutes, and $14 after that. Entrance to the museum is free but you need to check in at the desk and get a wrist band. There are so many great things to look at in there, and i feel like you'd need more than 6 hours to really see and appreciate everything. The museum staff is amazing, and everyone seems passionate about their job. I love this place.

One of the most beautiful art museums we’ve ever been to. Lots of variety in new and old sculptures and paintings! The workers were also super friendly with guiding us around and even game us a voucher to visit the temporary exhibits!

100% worth the stop whether you have an hour or all day. Easily could spend a day exploring this museum. I wish I had more time and will be coming back to catch more of the exhibits. Excellent help around to point you in the right direction as well. All the exhibits I did get to see were so amazingly presented and had information easily presented along side each piece.

What a magical place for all ages and art lovers of all types and perspectives. Art through the ages presented in thoughtful and engaging ways. Parking is extra if you are not a member, but admission is free. Mostly helpful staff, some are better than others, but overall very helpful. You could spend days there and not see everything. Free coat check is a bonus and a terrific restaurant as well. Can’t wait to go back.

Kansas City · Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art I heard about the special collection of the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art long time ago from books, it has about 35,000 collections. Although the number is much less than well known museums such as the Metopolitan Museum of Art in New York, but there are some top-notch collections in many categories. Although it is located in the central agricultural area, the museum has a unique collection and a broad vision, thanks to the five curators who are good at grasping historical opportunities. The first, third and fifth are experts in Western art history, and the second and fourth are experts in Chinese and Eastern art history. The most important collection of the museum is European and Chinese art, followed by Japanese art. My ability to appreciate art is very limited, so I can only take a quick look and watch the excitement. The scenery outside the museum is beautiful, making it a popular place for portrait and wedding photography. Admission is free, and the collections in the museum are all authentic. It is a bit surprising that it is so generous, especially when I saw many well known art works later, I appreciate the sincerity of the museum. The European section has many great impressionist works by Van Gogh, Monet, Gauguin and others; the Chinese section has many extremely precious stone carvings from the Northern Wei Dynasty and Longmen Grottoes, the last one is the Northern Wei Dynasty's "Queen Worshiping Buddha", which comes from Longmen Grottoes, the folds of the clothes are flowing and exquisite. There are also Yuan blue and white porcelain and Ming and Qing porcelain, which are all priceless treasures; the collection in the Japanese section are also very interesting. After digesting and absorbing outside cultures, the Japanese have taken a different approach to religions and arts. Compared with the elegance of Chinese literati, Japanese art is full of folk customs, and the understanding of music, chess, calligraphy and painting is also quite different. Two and a half hours passed in a flash. I was the last one to get out when the museum closed, and I felt very fulfilled.

Beautiful experience at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. Attended Native American cultural festival on Sunday, March 3, 2024. We were able to introduce our 10 year old to the wonderful art collection of the museum. For the festival, there was a shuttle from UMKC to ease crowds. Was a great day! Highly recommend for KC residents and those from out of town.

The exhibits here are very interesting and educational. We need at least half a day to look at all the exhibits in detail. Though the museum is free, there is a fee of $14 for the parking garage. The first 30 minutes are free. It’s next to impossible to get street parking.

Since first visiting back in Spring 2019, some of the exhibits in the Bloch building have changed to keep the museum interesting. The museum had a wide variety of artwork to look at including contemporary, African, Native American, Japanese, Chinese, Southeast Asian, French, German, Old American, and Greek.

This is a lovely art museum filled with works by many of the greatest European artists, with an especially good collection of romantic and impressionist paintings. I was shocked at how strong the collection was - for instance, I would rank Nelson-Atkins well ahead of the Guggenheim in New York, and entrance is free here. The grounds are gorgeous as well, and the inclusion of the sculpture park makes this a must see for anyone near the area.

Fantastic experience here. Great food options, friendly fan base, comfortable seating. I came from San Diego to see Padres play Royals on Friday and Saturday nights. No complaints. Stayed at the Best Western across the street so it was a short walk to the park. When I first saw the screen I thought it was odd because it was tall rather than wide I got use to that quick. It had fantastic resolution. The video team kept me entertainment. The found myself mesmerized by the fountains several time between innings. What a great feature they are. It was definitely worth the trip to see this stadium.

We love our Royals! No matter the “weather”, we will always be happy to cheer them on. While we’ve been to The K many times, we never tried out the mini golf in the kids area before. It is a neat little course! We always like walking through the hall of fame, seeing the fountains, and of course watching a baseball game. There isn’t a bag seat in the stadium.

Took my boys to their first baseball game, and they loved it. And what a game it was. It was a hitting fest.. they l the only downfall.. they tried so hard to get a ball from the pitching box.. but the other kids that were there would push and shove... they waited and waited to only be let down.. I raised my boys to be respectful other than that it was fun...

I love ballparks and Kauffman stadium ranks up there as one of the best. I hear they are thinking about moving this place to downtown. I think that shouldn't do it. How about redeveloping the area around the stadium? There is literally nothing there. Put in a light rail, hotels, restaurants, bars, etc. Make it a destination!

With a little planning you can park and enter very close to your seats with minimal walking. They have golf carts going through the parking lot if you need a ride. Outside food is allowed. If you sign the sober driver form in guest services they'll give you a free drink ticket. It can be a trick to find the vendor that excepts them though. The ushers can be a bit demanding to see tickets at times, but do a great job of keeping it a safe family friendly environment.

Best ballpark I've ever been to. No reason to tear it down. The K is spectacular. I have had so much fun with family and friends here. The K is...OK!

A great stadium. They don’t build them like this anymore. You can still get close to the plate for a decent price, as well as have some player interaction. There’s a free museum in the outfield, as well as a play area for kids. The water features are pretty cool as well. New stadiums would have packed this area with things no one asked for in an effort to make more money, but the Royals stadium has retained its charm by not selling out. This is truly a memorable stadium and not one to be missed. It’s truly a family friendly stadium and a fan friendly stadium.

We had fun at our first game at the K! The tailgating atmosphere before the game was great. The seats were a good view, even from the nosebleeds. Traffic control leaving the K needs improvement though. It was over an hour before we got out of the stadium sitting dead stopped in the parking lot.

Layout of the stadium is great. Parking is super easy. Food was not so great. Eat before you go, or bring something in.

An experience in itself. Not only can you catch the Kansas city Royals throwing it down on the field but the stadium is just as enjoyable. From mini putt, a miniature baseball field, historic/hall of fame walk through, and outdoor game area this place leaves nothing out. So many avenues to explore in this stadium it seems like a small town filled with excitement. Lots of fun for a family outing and not a bad seat in the house. This place exudes Kansas city and everything it stands for.

We were guests of dear friends at the stadium for dinner at the Crown Club and opportunity to see a game this past week. We had a GREAT time! Food was excellent, service was top notch, and everyone had a wonderful experience. Had a bit of rain delay, however, that gave us a chance to catch up and visit. Go Royals!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PARK!! I have visited four other MLB parks and this park is by far the number 1 park as far as having the best views when your seats are by the dugouts. It just has an overall more friendly environment and friendly atmosphere. I am an extrovert and more so when I have a few cold ones and everyone loves to interact and talk smack!! The employees are the best and everyone is so accommodating and friendly!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Loved this stadium, huge screen, fountains, hall of fame museum, kids play zone! They allowed us to bring unsealed water or sports drink, and 1 gallon ziplog bag of food each. That was cool. Got in quick and no hassle. The stadium has nice air flow, and bathroom lines are not long.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Kauffman Stadium. The location is great, easy to get in and out of, the facilities are clean and well-kept, and the field is in excellent condition. The local fans that we sat next to we’re very friendly. The food options were also good. Really nice that you can get refillable. Soft drinks here. There is a really good vibe and atmosphere at Kauffman. It really is a shame that they are looking to replace this stadium.

Pretty cool stadium. Was in town because the Cardinals were playing the Royals. First time at Kauffman. Sight lines were good. Beautiful stadium. I'm sad that there are already plans to replace it. I guess I can understand though. There is literally nothing around the stadium except the parking lot.

It's not in a neighborhood. It's surrounded by concrete but still the stadium itself a classic design. Nice clean concourses. Tons of food and drink choices along with great staff. The team really, really stinks this year but, they won today! I love all the stuff they've put into the outfield. It reminds me a small town street.

It’s the K! 10 stars, please! Look, this is the finest place to watch baseball in the world. Sorry, Wrigley… there’s no “obstructed views” at our K. The food is fun, represents KC well, and there are nearly infinite options. The staff? They will always go above and beyond for nice fans who visit our park. And, depending upon how the team is doing, you can have a jam packed stadium full of raging Royals fans…, or you might have a quiet night out to watch some ball. I recommend you visit!

Fun ballpark, lots to do and see even if baseball isn't your thing. The staff was friendly and prices were fair. Overall, some updates could be made but, they don't detract from the experience.

This feels more like a minor league stadium versus a major league stadium when you compare the stadium to other MLB stadiums. Yes, this is a family fun atmosphere and the Royals HOF is cool, however a major face lift or new stadium is desperately needed.

Still a great venue. Love the food and drinks choices. Decent wait time for restrooms. Good ushers and support staff.

Great place for family outings. Has been one of mine since childhood. I have many wonderful memories in this stadium and I'm hoping to provide the same for my own children.

Had a great time watching the Royals spank those insolent Yankees. The food at the stadium is incredible and a real steal for the price. The crowd is great and the folks I sat next to were very friendly and welcoming. Thank you Cowarts for making my first Royals game so fun.

Really cool experience at this ballpark. Very open and airy, with plenty of sunlight. The fans are into the games here, making for an exciting ambiance. The Hall of Fame walk through in the outfield is very cool. And there are many other games for the kids, including batting cages and mini golf. Traffic was a bit difficult after the game, but that’s our only complaint.

I hadn't been to a Royals game in nearly 20 years. The facility was amazing. Hard to believe they think they need a new ballpark.

My most favorite place of all in Kansas City!! Love everything about this place, so much stories touched my heart I cried on my first trip heartwarming feeling to see this historic stunning architecture been frozen in time. I’ve been visiting this place three times now and will come back for more. It’s a family-friendly adventure no doubt a truly magnificent place to spend with your families. Can’t wait for more special events to come especially during Xmas. There’s a link connecting this place to Sea life , Lego Land and Crown Center Plaza where you can find stores and various kinds of international cuisines.

Great place to walk around. They have a big, model Railroad setup that is free to visit. A gift shop, restaurant and a science area for kids (cost). Lots of history too. Our toddler enjoyed the visit too.

Love that they have the Amtrak station here. Like always, I like the 1930 vibe and the restaurants in the building. The souvenirs vending machine has some cool stickers. Lots of displays to remember our history.

What a wonderful place to visit if your in Kansas. Stunning from the outside in, historic and beautiful. There is so much to see that explains the history of the station. They have a great coffee place, a beautiful restaurant for lunching at and a very stylish restaurant called Pierponts which looks like it has been transported by into a different era. Let's not forget the amazing science part where families are able to explore amd learn.

We’ve done many trips here over the years and had a membership a number of years ago when our kids were younger. Our most recent visit was for the Holiday Reflections(during Covid). We had tickets and they did a good job limiting the crowd, for public safety of course. The setup and arrangements were every wells space so people weren’t on top of each other. Staff were very welcoming.

This is a great place to visit. I love the architecture of the building and all of the history connected to it. The basement always has an exhibit that you can tour. It was a Mayan exhibit when I went. I love that you can eat at the restaurant, get a drink, or simply just explore. I included a picture showing the second and third floors. Most people miss this experience but it is worth it. The second and third floors have little museum exhibits all along the halls to teach you about the history of the building and the trains. It's really interesting and the views are amazing. I even captured a picture of the World War I museum across the street. We visited with my mother-in-law who used a wheelchair and all of these sites are completely accessible. I recommend visiting and perhaps having lunch while you are there. It's fun for all ages.

Go to the 4 level exhibit on the south side! It isn't marked well, but obvious once you enter one of the elevators on either of the south corners. It explains the entire history of the station, why it was built where it was, how it was used, and, the downfall and long restoration process. Detailed maps and written explanations were very informative. The only issue was that the middle portion of the third level was inaccessible due to locked doors. It was also strangely neglected. The motion sensing lights and video displays were not being activated by anyone but me on a Sunday afternoon when the main floor was full of people looking around.

The street cars are not running until further notice they are replaced with buses. We specifically went to ride the street car with my two year old bc he loves stuff like that only to see they were gone… we did still see the model trains and stand on the bridge over the trains and that was really cool!

Awesome example of early 1900’s craftsmanship. Get to the 3rd floor observation deck for a perfect spot to people watch and relax. The old clock has been restored and the WW1 museum is right across from it.

What Kansas City has done with Union Station is beautiful. It's such a wonderful way to preserve this important building and to teach visitors about the important role it played not only in the history of the city, but in American history. My grandmother was born and raised in Kansas City, and I never came to visit when she was alive. Stepping into Union Station was a way to see a place that she frequented when she was growing up in Kansas City 90 years ago. She traveled by train often. There's something for everyone in Union Station. I especially enjoyed being able to park there (visiting Union Station is free, but there is a fee to park) and then take the streetcar to other parts of the city to continue exploring. It was a lovely way to spend a few hours of an afternoon.

Awesome place to spend a day. We visited at Christmas time and that added more beauty because of the lights. The train exhibition was very nice and interesting to watch. They decorated a hall with lights and had so many events. Kids can easily spend and enjoy a day. They set up a lot of photo frames where you can capture fantastic photos. Clean and good parking area. You can experience the "Street Car" which is starting from Union Station

Classic Kansas City icon. Always has fun exhibits and activities for the family. We love going to the planetarium and using the link over to crown center. You can park for free in river market then catch the Streetcar over for free too. Admission to Union Station is free but the activities inside are mostly paid attractions. The grand hall is really cool and the hallway back to the link shows photos and stories from the construction and opening of what was once the largest train station in the country and was one of the last built of its size.

Union Station in KC is pretty compared to some others! It has a few restaurants throughout, along with some local shopping for souvenirs or local favorites! A movie theater, Lockout Rooms, Science City (for kids) and more! This visit was for the "special Spider-Man exhibit"..... as you can tell! The exhibit was "okay!" Great camera and light works, nice displays of vintage comic books 📚, and several movie used props! Great for adults, but not much for kids until they get to the retail shop to look around and make purchases! Ehhhh, it was alright, but by the time we ventured thru the rest of Union Station and bought ice cream 🍦 😋, it made it all worthwhile! 😉

Had an amazing time going this time of year with all the Christmas decorations!!! It's an absolute must-see if you come to KC. Got coffee at the Parisi Cafe, and the staff is 100% super helpful. Parking is super easy.

If you love history and or old architecture, what a cool building. You won’t be disappointed in it. We actually went there to go to the Science Center (pretty great), and ended up eating at Harvey’s restaurant (fantastic, highly recommend, Ashley was a great waitress).

I went to see the Christmas lights and train exhibit with my mom and it was AMAZING!!! 5 stars without a doubt. The lights were beautiful and we had a blast. We took a lot of pictures and thought it was incredibly cool. Highly highly highly recommend!!!

Best place to visit if you are in Kansas City . There are a lot of things that you can do and spend your day . We went to the science city with our toddler and he loved every bit of it . It’s a great place to visit .. the Christmas decor was Amazing… Highly recommended

Our visit to the science center was both educational and enjoyable. The diversity of facts, especially the classic display affirming the biological basis of gender, was appreciated. My kids were engaged and learned a lot through interactive exhibits. It’s a testament to the center’s commitment to education. We’re grateful for the enriching experience and the staff’s dedication. A must-visit for curious minds of all ages. Five stars for an unforgettable day of learning and fun.

What a great place to explore!!!! Lots to see and do here! So much history to hear and read about as you walk through. Take some time to stop and have a bite to eat. There are a few places that are really great to sit and relax If you go downstairs to watch any of the shows make sure you purchase tickets in advance.

It is one of the best museums in Kansas City. The layout is so nicely done. There are videos to explain every step. I love the tons of artifacts found at the archeological site it brings all the history to life. Great museum

Absolutely amazing collection! What a lot of work restoring all the items that went down with the ship. A true glimpse of the past way of life. Met Dave who actually found the ship He is a wealth of info on all the items and back story as well. Very reasonable admission, don't skip this one! A gem!!

We have been wanting to visit for a few years and finally took the time. What a thrill to dive into the history of the river boats on the Missouri River. The displays are very well done. The one area shows the size of the boat in real time. Awesome! Don't miss it!

The Arabia Steamboat Museum is one of the more memorable museums I've ever been to. I've been to museums where you could see the technicians working on artifacts behind glass. And I've been to museums where you have docents who talk about artifacts. In this museum you have an opportunity to speak directly to the curators and technicians. The down-to-earth story behind finding the Arabia steamboat and uncovering it is the stuff of legends. That the team of local people who did this amazing thing turned around and kept all the artifacts together in this museum is remarkable. It's unheard of to my knowledge anyway. So many artifacts in a variety of conditions that can be not only be examined examined and studied, but also simultaneously appreciated by the public. This place has great historical significance, both for the generation of the steamboat itself and also of the generation that uncovered it. If you're interested in American history, or steamboats, or a myriad of other cultures that traversed the path from Kansas City to Oregon along the Columbia River, then this museum is a must-see.

So cool! We took my 2 year old and 9 month old. The baby could have cared less but liked looking at people but our 2 year old loved the giant water wheel and some of the other bigger things. My husband and I thought it was so interesting what good condition it all was in! They had such a nice little gift shop with some old school toys which felt very appropriate. We didn’t find any changing tables in the community bathrooms for this little area. Maybe they have them and we couldn’t find them…

Just as amazing now as it was during my 1st visit 20 years ago. Nowhere else have I seen a snapshot of normal life's goods than here. Clothes, china, but especially for me was all the old tools. Axes, shovels, trowels, planes, saws, pocket knives, kegs of nails, and we got to talk directly to a conservator still reclaiming rescued items from the mud! This is a must see!

This is an absolute gem for Kansas City, rich with both local and national historical significance. Not only does this well preserved collection share incredible insight of American frontier life prior to the Civil War, but guests are treated to an incredible story of how 5 average individuals and their families banded together to accomplish the unbelievable. The gift shop is a little hokey, but the real treasures are in the museum beyond.

HISTORY BROUGHT TO LIFE!!! 🚢🚢🚢🚢 Incredible collection and beautifully explained history of the Arabia. If you are visiting or are a local, this is a MUST stop experience. Restrooms available before you enter and during the tour. Employees are meandering around to explain bits and stations. They were very welcoming.

Love the history of this place. It is great for gun and tool collectors too. Many different antebellum makers and maker marks. Henry Disston saws, authentic Russell knives, lots of axe head patterns from around the eastern US.

Fascinating museum - the collection of artifacts found in the wreck of the Steamboat Arabia, including the personal story of the team that discovered the wreck. The sheer volume of artifacts is amazing and continues to expand as they restore and preserve items (intact jars of pickles, dishware collections, rubber boots, clothing,...). The layout is nice as it walks visitors though the modern discovery of the boat and object recovery before displaying and interpreting the artifacts from the boat and its cargo. My only reason for the 4 stars is the interpretation. Mention was made of Bloody Kansas and one display of guns specifically addressed the violence surrounding the question of if Kansas would be a slave or free state. A portion of a display addressed slaves working on the riverboats. While the men's entertainments aboard were addressed, little time was spent discussing the women aboard, seemingly assuming that they all were women going west to join their husbands? Admittedly, this museum is over 20 years old and our standards of presenting balanced interpretation of thorny historical topics while attempting to represent diverse voices have changed, but I would have liked to see a more nuanced discussion.

The museum is pretty cool. There wasnt much of the original steamboat frame or timbers, but the display of all the goods found from that time are nicely cleaned up and displayed. I will say the museum is inside the city market area which made it near impossible to park within 5 blocks of the museum. There is no museum dedicated parking, and its not free.

I had seen this story on TV & finally was able to arrange for a visit. The story of how they recovered the Arabia from a corn field is nothing short of amazing. The recovered goods from the wreck is nearly overwhelming in its variety & condition. This is a must-see if you enjoy history. Parking is easy, reasonably priced ($1 per hour) and right there at the museum. Plan for two to three hours.

This is probably the only museum I have gone back to several times. I always recommend it to anybody who was going to be in the Kansas City area. It has been renovated since the last time we were there. It is completely fascinating. I highly recommend stopping at each video and watching them. They're not only entertaining but full of information. They include good information to know as you walk through the rest of the museum. Great location as there's a lot of things to see, do, and eat in the area. Highly recommend!

We are a pair of steamboat historians. We thought the presentation of the story of the location and excavation of the wreck was excellent. The collection is certainly impressive, but in particular we enjoyed speaking with a member of the conservation staff (Len W, if memory serves) who generously answered all of our many questions and clearly had a passion for their work. The main deck steamboat display was very well dine, and the interpretive signage most helpful - not just for us, but also for the general public. While we were there, several locals mentioned that they’ve been there multiple times over the years and keep coming back and also recommend the museum to all their visiting family and friends. Our only disappointment was that neither of the two books published about the ARABIA remain in print nor, we were told, are available used online. But of course this isn’t the fault of the museum, and the videos and displays at the museum do a fine job of telling the story. We were also fortunate to speak with Matt Hawley, son of one of the original project team and now runs marketing for the museum. We hope the museum continues to operate for many years to come and can potentially serve as the seed for the establishment of a national steamboat interpretive center.

I'm so glad we visited! Exhibits walk you thru with photos how they located and excavated the steamboat. My kids were interested the whole time as well! Ages 9 and 12. Highly recommend!

My mom and I stumbled across this by accident. We are from Washington, MO and we’re in KC for 2 days and were looking for something to do. We were going to the Wizard candy shop and then we’re walking around the mall when we found it. We had to to the museum. Very educational and very exciting to learn something new. Never learn about Arabia steamboat in school. I feel like we should as it is apart of American history. Staff was very friendly and will to answer all questions.

I was really impressed with this museum. I initially didn't expect much, but it is well set out, and the artefacts they have are incredible and vast. We were lucky enough to chat with one of the original "treasure hunters" which was really cool. I would highly recommend a visit. Set aside a good 2 hours to take it all in.

After hearing about the Arabia Steamboat Museum for years, we finally were able to see it for ourselves yesterday on December 28th, 2023. The location was easy to find and there was no wait to get right in and purchase passes. The museum does an excellent job of telling the story of how the discovery of the Arabia came about. What started as a way for a few to find treasure, soon turns into a sharing of a one of a kind discovery for all to enjoy. The artifacts are very well displayed and the museum, unlike many other similar museums, is not crammed packed full of items that soon lose the interest of visitors. I think this museum included the perfect amount of items and by no means felt overwhelming. We spent about 45 minutes to an hour from start to finish but we didn't read every plaque or display. I would recommend anyone coming to the KC area to stop and visit this one of a kind hidden gem.

This was very interesting. Maybe I’m enjoying history more now that I’m older. There were short videos in the beginning that talk about the history and who eventually recovered all of the artifacts. A must see if you are in the area.

Nice area with lots of shops to look at. A lot of the shops in my opinion, were on the expensive side or were more geared towards females(clothing), but still enjoyed walking around. The architecture of the buildings was pretty neat.

The scenery and architecture were beautiful, but it would have been helpful if they had a map available to locate stores and other points of interest. Nevertheless, it was a pleasant walk.

Nice places to visit, shop and dine within walking distance from the Marriot hotel. Perfect for an afternoon walk with the perfect KC fall weather. Most of the restaurants required a reservation so plan ahead. Oh we even got to spot Spider-Man (apparently not a rare sight) he was to fast to take a picture.

So fun and enjoyable waking around. I would recommend anytime of year but the lighting ceremony is something to see and experience It’s very nice but bring $$ The plaza is fun. They keep updating it and making it better. But it is not a cheap area. Bring $$ but worth it.

Great place to take a walk on a beautiful day! Much to see and a variety of things to do. After walking a couple of miles and taking a few pictures, it's always nice to stop in at Barnes and Noble's second floor for a snack and iced caramel coffee. 😊

Love walking on the Kansas City country club Plaza with my husband and my son, sitting at a sidewalk café, drinking iced coffee, stopping for lunch at a great restaurant. Love the architecture and the walking mall. Great Experience with my family.

Country Club Plaza is Kansas City’s most famous shopping district. On Thanksgiving the Plaza lighting ceremony kicks off the holiday shopping season. While it’s most beautiful with a bit of snow the lights and the fountains bring an almost fairytale appearance to the Plaza. This is where you will find the higher end shopping stores and interesting restaurant choices.

The Plaza is such a great place around the holidays with the Christmas lights on and the horse drawn carriages out.

Stores and sidewalks were pretty clean. Lots of pretty cool stores with fancy things. A lot of cops all over the place. Went here for a small outing and there are not enough barbecue restaurants. I really wanted to go to a barbecue restaurant. Lots of odd activities going on. There. Was this guy dressed like Spider-Man but instead of acting like Spider-Man he was just looking into people's cars so that was weird. Lots of people asking for money. Overall a decent place to come visit though.

Great variety of stores, Vineyard Vines, KC store (awesome) and a good local Cafe. Most stores you regularly see at home, but fun outdoor walking area with fountains.

Love shopping here ❤️. As well as simply driving or walking through. There are so many places to shop, eat, or just visit. Fascinating things, places, and people to learn about. Interesting artwork throughout the Plaza to discover. My personal favorites stops are IT'S SUGAR for my sweet tooth, and VANS for fun everyone is incredible in VANS. One of these days I'll have more time to make it in to a few more shops to actually shop. Think I just spend too long in my favorite two. But I WILL make it in to see a Movie, that IS a must. And perhaps a meal sometime. NOW I MUST SAY no matter who you are at least one time in your life you really do need to go see the PLAZA LIGHTS. IT DOESN'T MATTER if you wait until AFTER the HOLIDAY SEASON two go see them, I ALWAYS WAIT, I can't stand crowds. But I do LOVE seeing not only the lights but the Horse Drawn Carriages and the couple of Cinderella Horse Drawn Carriages. To sum it up DEFINITELY WORTH THE VISIT 😉

Went to the plaza to watch the Christmas lighting ceremony and had a great time. I'm glad to call Kansas City home...such a clean City and a massive presence of First Responders to keep everybody safe and sound!

We stopped in on a weekday afternoon during spring break. It was moderately busy with locals and tourists. We visited several spots which had friendly staff and were well maintained. They have parking lots on most of the blocks and street parking as well. Most of it is handicap accessible although there are some tougher spots. They have bus routes to and from the plaza which makes is nice to not have to drive. Most of the stores are trendier and thus more expensive.

When you're in KC, Missouri, you should definitely check this place out. Loved walking around and seeing the old structures of some of the buildings and especially the statues.

The Bunnies are out! Go see them before they go, then have lunch on one of the many decks or patios and soak in the sun!

Most people’s favorite place in KC area. This amazing shopping center has many restaurants, cafes, and stores. You can find some of the best Italian, Brazilian, Chinese, seafood and more. The area is very beautiful and has many fountains. Kansas City is known as a city of fountains. You’ll know why when you visit this beautiful area. Also, many people enjoy this area because of the beautiful and colorful architecture.

Very prerty area with lots of shops and restaurants, seems secure but still got approached by a woman asking for cash, she had a walkie-talkie and I thought that was very odd. One guy is eating on the floor, probably homeless. Also, there are no public bathrooms. This is very strange. The stores do not let customers use the restrooms. They send you to the restaurants. But other than that, it's a very nice place.

I actually grew up in Kansas City but have not lived there for many years. As a teen and in my early 20's, I spent time on The Plaza, mostly just hanging out. It is a beautiful place year round but especially in the summer and at Christmas time. It is a shopping area, not in the downtown area, like today's outdoor mall areas. It opened in 1923 so there are many older, historic buildings but is very beautiful. There is lots of shopping and dining experiences to be had. At one time, there was a movie theater but apparently the last movie theater closed in 2019. On a summer evening, it is nice to stroll around after dining at one of the many restaurants. Shopping is also one of the 'afternoon sports' of The Plaza. One very nice thing in this day and age, there is plenty of free parking, that way you can spend your money on shopping and the restaurants. It can be a nice place to take someone special. Christmas time is a big deal because of the Christmas lights. There is a lighting ceremony on Thanksgiving evening that tends to draw crowds. This has been going on for over 90 years though this year was my first time going to the actual lighting ceremony. I decided to rent some hotel rooms and invite my family to Thanksgiving dinner on The Plaza, followed by a stroll to the lighting ceremony. Even if one does not go to the lighting ceremony, it is worth it to go down to see the lights some time between Thanksgiving night and the first week of January. There are several hotels on and around The Plaza area also. It is definitely one of those places that I recommend seeing if you are ever in the Kansas City area for a few days.

We had an amazing time! Since we went on Sunday, not everything was open, but that’s okay! The Staff was all so friendly and informative! That was very appreciated! The Train and Tram operators we very crowd pleasing. I am in a wheelchair and they had the ramp down, ready for me to load up, as soon as they send me headed that way! My biggest complaint, as is with most places like this, the price of a bottle of Water was well over $3 for a 20 oz bottle. There were 19 of us in total, 7 being kids. More affordable would have been nice. There were stations to fill the bottles, but the water was lukewarm, at best. The giant Flowers, and other crafted statues made things look so fun! We, of course, loved all the animals and how clean their habitats were. We’re already planning our trip for after Labor Day next year to be able to go to the new aquarium.

I always love going to the zoo! It is really cool to me that they have some enclosures set up with natural trees and lots of open space for the animals. The kangaroos being out of an enclosure is also really nice too! I just think there are some places that could use updating and the polar bear definitely needs the changes to come first, that polar bear never looks happy and I really hope something is done to make it better for that animal. Overall, hope to be back soon! Thank you for a great experience at the KC zoo!

This weekend, I went to the Zoo to see the wildly anticipated new Aquarium. I made my reservation online, which was very easy to do. It is very nice that the aquarium ticket is included with your zoo ticket since, as of right now, the aquarium has reservations. You have to show up at your time of the reservation, but you can enter the zoo at any time of the day of your ticket; the aquarium is a good size, they have a description of what to look for, and they have staff answering questions along the way, they have bathrooms (all genders and a family one ) inside the aquarium and a little store before exiting the aquarium, definitely worth it, super fun for kids a new activity to enjoy with the family.

I always love coming here. It’s great to walk around, the exhibits are great, the staff is super helpful, and it’s nice and open. The new aquarium is also beautiful!!! So many cool fish to see and I LOVED the jellyfish exhibit. There were multiple types of jellyfish to stop and admire and watch. Very cool place that I am so excited to come and see again and again.

Thank you for sharing the animals with us! We went the first week of December and had a blast! Lots of stations were closed but we came to see animals and we were not disappointed!! Be sure to bring quarters for souvenir penny making and for food to feed the goats and camels 🐫 We also came back next evening for GloWild and enjoyed that just as much! Dress with warm layers! Like all zoos, there is a ton of walking between exhibits. We loved the Aquarium touch tanks!! A++ experience for our family!

We absolutely LOVE going to this Zoo. It is HUGE. You'll have to make several trips to experience everything! We got to see the Tigers eat and seals do tricks. The new aquarium blew us away! It is such a neat experience. We highly recommend going! They offer free tickets throughout the year for Jackson County residents.

The place was great! The workers were nice, the exhibits for the animals were amazing. The paths and maps were easy to understand and there were so many animals to see and so many things to do! It's very family friendly as well. Overall a great place, if you've ever got time, I suggest spending some time there! 5/5

The last two years our family has purchased the year membership and loved it! Affordable for our large family, able to visit any time we want, and get discounts throughout the park. We love the new aquarium that was added and all the exhibits. We plan to purchase the membership for years to come! *Note: adults, stop banging on the glass or whistling at animals like they are domestic creatures. It is upsetting for those that actually care about the animal's welfare! It's one thing for a young child who doesn't know any better, but adults? Come on now!

The zoo was great. We learned the best time to visit is when they open or when they close. The animals are more active during those times. They like to nap during the day. There was beautiful landscaping, beautiful lake, and flowers that smelled amazing. Lots of picnic areas. Great family outing. We also thought it was a great place for a date.

This was my first time here and I spent 3.5 hours visiting on a Friday. There are many enjoyable attractions for the whole family. The zoo is large so I would recommend wearing comfortable shoes, lightweight clothing and to bring a water bottle. There are water fountains where you can refill your bottles which is great. Misting stations allow you to walk through water mist to cool down, important since there's a lot of hot concrete and a lot of walking involved. If you're a KC resident, the zoo sends out free admission coupons a few times a year. I highly recommend visiting!

Large zoo with some animals I've never seen at other zoos across the country. Plenty to see that you could spend a full day here. It was pretty incredible seeing a polar bear appear content on a hot day. Definitely worth visiting at least once.

Pack some water if you plan to take the hike down to Africa, if you do it will be worth it! There are a lot of ways to take shortcuts through the zoo: trains, boats, a tram, the sky safari and the carousel... although that last one just took me in a circle. The zoo is absolutely fantastic and I can't wait for the aquarium to be opened. We were able to see most every animal while we were there and got some great photos.

I've been to many zoos through the years, but this one is always in my top 3. The exhibits are up close and personal, the staff is always friendly, and the zoo is clean and well-kept. There are lots of opportunities to interact with the animals, and the animals always seem happy, entertained, and well-cared for. My son loves the "endangered level" scale on the signs, and was super excited to see an animal that is extinct in the wild. Lots of baby animals too.

Penguin March Sat/Sun at 11am through February! One of the single greatest things at a zoo I’ve ever seen. Live, out of cage, walk right up to you, and almost shake your hand!! If you like interactive such as the stingray petting pool, the penguin March is by far as unique and much more surprising! The polar bears are active in winter, and the aquarium is delightfully well stocked with swimming things! Friendly personalities and great zoo-tenders (people tending the animals not chicken bites lol) I like how convenient everything is in this zoo. What an amazing birding experience along with all the rest. Would make this a stop while in KC.

It was a warm January day so we decided to try the zoo. Best zoo trip to date! We got front row parking and no lines! I actually got to touch a stingray for the first time because there was no line! The new aquarium was great my kids really enjoyed it.

Sought out some photography inspiration at the zoo, and it didn't disappoint! It has plenty of signage and maps posted to direct you. Very child friendly with activities and areas dedicated specifically for them. If you purchase your tickets online, you'll save some money. $25 at the door, but online, 3 days in advance, they are $20. The new aquarium is lovely, and there is no additional charge to enter. Staff was friendly as well.

So much walking. Lol! Great zoo, many animals in hiding but was expected because it was quite chilly. We saw a lot that we loved. Our Lil guy was super happy seeing the sea turtle and the larger turtles inside. They have a pretty nice aquarium for a zoo, very neat! Polar bear was active and cool. Other than walking 15k steps, was a great day!

Beautiful exhibits. Nice clean zoo. Spread out and not congested at this time. Grand kids enjoyed the day, great for young children and Parents as well. Will be back soon to view the exhibits again. Well worth the trip.

What a fun zoo! We stopped here on a whim on a Wednesday morning after a concert the previous day, because we figured it would be fairly empty during the middle of the week. Ended up being a great idea, as it wasn't crowded at all, and we even got a couple small tours to ourselves from the friendly and knowledgeable employees. Tons of great animal exhibits, including gorillas, tigers, elephants, and even polar bears. Probably nearly a thousand different animals, if I had to guess. We thought we'd only spend a few hours there, and almost stayed until closing time, as there was so much to see. It's not so big that it's overwhelming, but plenty large enough to get a lot of walking in, and see a ton of exhibits. What amazed me is even though it was a very hot day (in the 90's), almost every animal was active and easy to observe from the viewing areas. Had a great time, and the zoo was very clean as well. Keep up the great work!

What a fun zoo! A family member told me they'd visited prior and didn't see everything with the time they'd given themselves because there is so much. They suggested I visit earlier in the day and I am so glad I listened. This is definitely a zoo to spend the whole day at! I was impressed with how clean it was despite how many guests were visiting. There were some exhibits with a sign that mentioned some animals might not be in view but we were actually able to see everything (with the exception of the few that were off exhibit). There is a great variety of species and some cool experiences like the stingray touch area and aviaries. We got the unlimited ride passes and it was worth the money. My daughter got to enjoy the carousel and transport rides several times. While there were a lot other guests visiting, we never had to wait in line for rides or transportation. We did spend a good amount of time waiting for Dippin' Dots and to enter the stingray building though. *Be prepared to walk for parking. It fills up fast!

Very cool zoo with lots to see, with a huge aquarium/sea exhibit coming on 09/01/23 that cost hundreds of millions. Very excited to see that. Only complaint is the lake of drinking stations or vending machines. Also the ferry ride to get to one side of the park to the other closed down wile we were on the far side, and it was still running. We spent about 30 minutes lost with no help as there are lack of signs. Suggestion: paint sidewalks to where you need to leave the place.

It’s a good zoo. It has a train with a really fun tunnel, along with a carousel (but it doesn’t play any music which we felt was weird), both are three dollars a ride with 2 and under free with an adult who needs a ticket. They do have family bathrooms so that both mom or dad can change babies. It was HOT at 98 degrees the day we went and the hard part was not having much shade at all on the walking paths. Other zoos we have been to do such a good job with that and I really felt like this is what the zoo was missing. Thankfully they do have a lot of indoor things like stingrays and tropical and penguins to help cool off. I did see one water bottle fill up place I would guess there are more…. But I wanted one and hoped it would show itself and I never found it.

Kansas City Zoo and Aquarium is pretty good. Today was our 3rd ever visit. The zoo is very well laid out. It is clean. The animals seem very well cared for. You can spend all day and have a great time. This was our 1st visit to the new aquarium. It was nice. Honestly, much smaller than we expected it to be. Really nice enclosures that were unique to other aquariums. Here's the downside. You really have to go on a weekday, early, during the school year if you want to avoid the crowds. We went today, a Sunday in the afternoon and it was mayhem. People are pretty rude and will just cut in front of you. The aquarium is packed even though it's by reservation only. It's just overall not fun if you go on a weekend or afternoon. My wife and I don't have children and we have been able to go during the week during school hours, and it's so much more enjoyable. You can freely walk the zoo without being trampled by strollers, children and their inattentive parents. Overall, it's a great zoo. You just have to know what you're in for or, go during optimal hours.

It was fun. I really enjoyed seeing all the animals. I and my wife went on a weekday so it would be less crowded. Also, if you're not a fan of other people's kids, you'll be disappointed. A lot of those kids acted wilder than the animals.

It was fun, there's an area that the kangaroos can just wonder around you. There was quiet a bit open which I was surprised since it was Dec 8, so that was nice. I was upset they didn't have any souvenir cups. We stayed for the lights, that was lots of fun. The food we got at the one restaurant was actually good food so that was nice. The train was having some issues so that was disappointing that we only got to ride it once an we bought the unlimited wrist band. Nothing we can do about that. The sky safari was fun.

It was cooler, but still got to see a good amount of animals. Of course, I could spend all day in the aquarium. Just fascinating. I do have a few things to point out though...... While they have improved the tiger exhibit from yesteryear, it is still not acceptable... Please help me get this out. If they can provide the lions such a large inclusive, they can do the same for the poor tigers. They still have so much land. While I love the aquarium, they should have focused on being the tiger exhibit and the Jaguar exhibit as well. Fix what you got before adding others. Just saying.

Wednesday weather was a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the zoo and aquarium in Kansas City. I've enjoyed Kansas City for over fifty decades as a resident and I haven't been to the zoo in twenty-five years when I was a young mother. Our zoo and new aquarium are worth the visit and it may take an individual over eight or nine hours to see everything. My niece and I were here for three hours in the nice afternoon warm weather. We got to see maybe about a third of the zoo on the front and aquarium side. I will definitely be back to see more in the near future!

First time back this year and went to see the new aquarium, and wow, they did an amazing job on it!!! The zoo has really come a long way since I was a kid to see all the improvements to it and added extra stuff. Not as much walking to see stuff now it's as you walk. You see something dang near every corner. Really did enjoy the new aquarium, and almost all of the animals were out today. It would for sure be something if you happen to drop into the city to go to. There are tons of areas to see animals and not just one spot and overcrowded. We got the yearly membership and going 2 times pays for the basic as a Jackson County resident, so it is well worth it.

This zoo is Huge! So many amazing critters to see and experience. They have trains, a sky tram, and you can even rent animal scooters to make your way around this behemoth area. The sky tram is super fun! The animal scooters are also extremely fun, but at 35¢ a mile, it can get rather expensive. There are multiple "wings" of different parts of the world. Immerse yourself in Australia, Africa, and don't forget the new aquarium! Seriously, prepare yourself to be walking all day long if you want to see everything. My family and I spent three hours just in Africa! There are plenty of restaurants and snack stations along the way. A nice kids area right next to the area where you can feed and pet goats! This zoo can get extremely busy, more so on holidays such as Spring Break, or on the weekends. I recommend buying your tickets ahead of time. If you think your family wants to do the tram or trains, you can buy a pass "package" along with your tickets so you don't have to wait in the long lines. Definitely going to get your steps in if you visit this zoo, and I recommend you do.

Awesome animals! Food and drink too expensive. Tram ride to Africa is a scam, total waste of hard earned money. You don't see animals along the way like you'd expect. Very nice train ride and the conductor was interesting and entertaining. Skylift is totally different and fun, but the description says your feet are dangling over the animals, leading you to believe you're fairly close and you'll see alot.... Well, we saw geese, a heron, three ostrich, a few zebras and a bunch of Oryx, not that many and not close. Disappointed there. Twenty minutes to sit on the lift while they repaired the ride also. Boat cruise was still closed for the season. The free roaming kangaroos were amazing! Aquarium is really nice, the sharks would come so close to the glass. In our experience, they don't usually get that close. Penguin exhibit was the best we've seen. Lots of fun stuff for the little ones if you're lucky enough to have some!

Aquarium was fairly small but decent for the price. Thought they would be a lot more to see. It was a lot of children activities to do. Very child friendly. They gave us a stamp booklet at the end once you fill it you get a sticker saying you completed the stamp booklet. It’s a great idea for little kids to stay informed and to read about the different type of sea life.

This is a wonderful place to visit if you like animals! There is a touch pool and animal facts for the kids to read. A piece of your admission price goes to sea conservation. They often have events. I highly recommend this aquarium no matter what your age is.

It was lovely. Just the right size for small children, not overwhelming. The docents were friendly, knowledgeable, and did not rush us through.

There were 2 really friendly and knowledgeable employees that I felt really made the experience for us. One was running the touch tank and the other wandering around telling facts about the fish. The second person even grabbed my 7 year old a paper to collect all the stamps in the aquarium. It was definitely worth the add on price from a Legoland ticket but it is a pretty small aquarium. You could easily do it in an hour we spent close to an hour and a half but my kids spent a lot of time coloring on the tablets in the last exhibit.

Great spot! Our toddler absolutely loved it (and so did we)! We went two hours before nap time, and she happily fell asleep in the tunnel/jellyfish area. Plenty of exhibits with different ways to interact with the animals.

Would recommend for younger kids, maybe elementary school aged. Took my teen there, and although she did have fun because she loves marine animals in general, this place is geared more for the younger ones. And look for “less than busier” times if you like to read everything. There is lots of great information all over. Have fun!

Decided to take a family adventure. Haven’t been here for a couple of years. I really enjoyed myself and the child did as well. The time was perfect. Parking was easy to find (under the garage, free on weekends) WOW. Upon entering the Sea Life KC, the customer service was TOO RELAXED. Step Up the Customer Service. Sea Life and Lego Land. The aquarium was very clean and didn’t smell of Ocean. The tour was only 1hr or so. Can’t wait to Return.

I have a family of 5 and paid 98 for us to go to the aquarium. We went today( Saturday) at 11 am. At this time, it wasn't super busy. The aquarium is on the smaller side, and everyone is able to enjoy the different fish and stingrays, and there is activities for children. It took us, and hour. I'll return

Visited these kind of aquarium for the first time and we loved it ❤!! Visited with my toddler who enjoyed a lot. He was so happy touching Starfish, Stingrays and Shells. There are n number of fish breeds with multiple colors. Aquarium is well maintained and at one point we will be walking into the the aquarium center where the fishes and sharks will be swimming above our heads. Penguins at the location are very naughty, they are particular about the fish given to eat by accepting only big fishes and nodding no to small fishes. The indoor aquarium shop is also kind of reasonable to purchase. We can easily spend 3-4 hours happily exploring each and every detail and at the end there are aquarium themed gadgets to play. We have purchased combo ticket for Sea Life + Lego Land and it is worth👍.

This was such an amazing experience! I didn’t have giving a back rub to a starfish or petting a pencil sea urchin on my bucket list, but I can surely put it on there and check it off now thanks to the wonderful and well-thought out programming at SEA LIFE!!

Was amazing. We loved it. There’s shark, stingrays and jellyfish . Really fun in the tubes. I was surprised that the fish were so big. I would love to go again

This was a fun little spot! Wide range of fish! Even some fresh water! Educational yet super fun. Enjoyable for adults as well. It was smaller than we thought it would be and pricey for the size but it really was packed with relatively well kept animals in clean aquariums. Most of them seemed comfortable.

We had so much fun. The staff were amazing to interact with and very knowledgeable. The sea life was very active and interactive, and their color was vibrant. The adventure was very all age friendly. When in town, I would highly recommend a visit

My absolute most favorite aquarium to go to in Kansas City and the surrounding area. They have quality trained and knowledgeable staff available to answer questions and a unique assortment of fish, mammals and other critters for your enjoyment. They even have sea dragons! Anytime you get a chance to go through this aquarium, you're greatly going to enjoy it. Go check it out and have a great time!

Very nice for kids or a date night. My advice take your time ! Me and my daughter were walking at average speed and walked through the whole thing in about 15 minutes so we turned around and slowed down. Extremely kid friendly with the sensory option to touch starfish, photo ops, and traditional gifts like a coin or pictures you can buy. Loved it was connected to Lego land and had little fountain attractions outside. They validate parking! A win!

It was amazing to visit this aquarium and had the pleasure of getting a lot of information from the workers. They are so pleasant and answer all your questions. The shark feeding was amazing.

Gather round as I regale ye with tales of me voyage to the Sea Life Aquarium in Kansas City, where the underwater wonders are as plentiful as Krabby Patties in Bikini Bottom! From the moment I stepped through the doors, I felt like a plankton in a sea of excitement! The place was as lively as Jellyfish Fields on a sunny day. The colorful creatures swam about, dancing to the rhythm of the ocean currents. I half expected to bump into SpongeBob himself! The staff were as friendly as ol' SpongeBob SquarePants, guiding us through the aquatic adventures with smiles as wide as Sandy's treedome. They answered all me questions about the sea critters with the knowledge of a seasoned sailor navigating the seven seas. Oh, but the highlight of me voyage was the Jellyfish Exhibit! It was like being surrounded by a swarm of jellyfish, just like SpongeBob and Patrick in their jellyfishing escapades. The mesmerizing glow of these gelatinous beauties left me feeling like I was in a trance, lost in the depths of the ocean. Even me hearties who aren't keen on sea creatures will find something to enjoy here! From the interactive touch pools to the breathtaking underwater tunnels, there's something for everyone to enjoy. So, if ye be seekin' a taste of the deep blue sea without gettin' yer feet wet, set sail for the Sea Life Aquarium in Kansas City! It'll be an adventure ye won't soon forget! Arrr, five stars all around! Keep up the great work, ye salty sea dogs!

Nice variety for a small aquarium! Charles was helpful in the touch tank and the jelly fish tank. It's a great way to spend a couple of hours.

Great experience!!! Me and the wife had a wonderful time. Kind of expensive but it was pretty worth it. About $52 for 2 adults. Probably took about 1 hour to walk through.

Spent the morning exploring the aquarium with our 9 yr old grandaughter. She loved it. Nice little aquarium. Friendly helpful staff. Lots of fish turtles sharks sea horses and more.

A fun and colorful (though fairly short) visit and not overly expensive if you pair it with Legoland tickets. Positives: -Lots of species -Environments change often so you don't get bored -Plenty of hands-on areas -Traffic flows one way so it's easy to maneuver and keep track of little ones Negatives: -It can get LOUD in the small, enclosed areas. If your child gets overwhelmed easily, then I highly recommend ear plugs or some other sound blocker -I didn't see staff for most of the visit, so we couldn't really ask questions about the exhibits and many of the kids visiting were just kind of running around. It got pretty overwhelming since the walkways are pretty small -It's not a very long visit... we stayed about an hour

Went with my five year old and it was the perfect trip for her. Planet Snoopy for the younger kids had plenty attractions. Most rides were in working order and the park was pretty clean. She wasn’t quite tall enough for a few coasters but she still had plenty other attractions to keep her entertained. We took advantage of the pre-k pass, which allowed her to have a season pass free. My ticket was around $30 online. We stayed on the cottages on the park grounds and it was great to be able to just make a short walk to the park. Cottages are nice too! Her favorite part was the next door oceans of fun. We spent 3 days going to both and she can’t wait yo go back. I would have liked to see more food and shops open but overall it was a lot of fun. 3.5 hr drive from St. Louis. Didn’t get many picks of the rides (sorry!), was busy enjoying the time with my kid :)

It is a good amusement park with different types of rides. The employees are very nice they really care for you. But the wait time can be very long on the weekends I recommend to go on weekdays, if you dont want to wait 40 minutes for a 2 minute ride. Food is extremely overpriced for what it is. Everything else is great nevertheless.

The rides were scary but fun! My soul left my body, by the way. Some weren't that bad, for which I was glad. Stay close to your friends/group or you'll get lost. That's a warning!

We had a huge amount of fun at both Worlds of Fun and Oceans of fun. This is our first time going as we’ve always gone to Six Flags. The lines weren’t terribly long and the service was good. My complaint was cleanliness of the drink stations. They were low on staff at Oceans of Fun which shut down a few rides. The parade and party at the end along with a fireworks and drone display were amazing. It was well worth staying you til 1010 pm to see all of the amazing costumes and dancing. They celebrated 50 th anniversary with 50 Nights of Fire. Great ending to our day.

Worlds of Fun can be rather enjoyable! The rides are great, the crowds are not so much. Unfortunately, there seem to be a lot of not so kind individuals that go in the evenings and afternoons, however, despite some drama here and there it can be a blast going on rides with your friends and family. Yes, there are definitely instances where the lines are going to be outrageously long. If you pick and choose the day you go and time you go, you can sometimes get around some of that. It is worth the experience! At least once. They have some fabulous roller coasters, as well as other fun stuff for younger kiddos. The Halloween Haunt event they put on is also quite fun!

Love going always a blast and the kids absolutely love it! Most of the rides keep going down but other than that was a good trip. It was nice to see the workers taking extra time to make sure everyone was secure in the seats before the ride would begin.

Came here with my parents, brother and sister. We had a blast! Great for all ages. My 8yo brother especially liked the "Boomerang" and "Mamba" and my sister loved the "Shark's Revenge" and "Wave Pool" at Oceans of Fun. I think the longest we ever waited, though, was only for 25-30 minutes on the "Zambezi Zinger". Would definitely recommend for a fun family activity. :)

We are really enjoying our time here. We bought season passes for our family of 9 due to being in the area for a month. We also bought a couple of the meal plans to cover our "snack attacks" throughout the day. I highly recommend doing that. The parks are all cashless, so be prepared for that. It is an older park (50 years old this year), but it is well maintained overall. The rides (especially the coasters) are great. Several stores and concessions areas are closed, but it doesn't seem to affect wait times for food and drinks. Staff members have been super friendly and helpful. The security team really seems to be on top of things, all while being professional and courteous to guests. Will update if anything else significant comes to mind.

Great park, nice rides, and fantastic staff. The different area themes are neat. A verity of rides ranging from kid rides in the snoopy land theme area, to rides thrill seekers would love. The sand dune cafe has great food, but only two options for the main, and two options for the side. Either chicken tenders or a burger, French fries or onion rings for the side. They have a salad as well but I haven’t gotten it yet. The decor of the sand dune cafe is really neat, kind of like a 40s dinner, with a kind of South Asia vibe that works. I can’t wait to go back.

Worlds of Fun holds a special place in my heart, being our only local amusement park here in Kansas City. What's remarkable is that, even as an adult, I find it just as enjoyable as ever. It's evident that the park strives to improve each year, and that dedication is something I genuinely appreciate. During our visit on a scorching weekday, we truly had a blast. We made it our mission to experience almost every ride, with the exception of Timberwolf and Spinning Dragons. A standout was the revamped Zambezi Zinger, which, after its makeover, easily ranks as one of the best coasters in the park. The Mamba, a perennial favorite, lived up to its reputation, and the best part was the minimal wait time. However, it's important to note that some rides were affected by staffing issues, leading to either complete closures or reduced capacity. While this was a bit of a downer, it didn't diminish the overall enjoyment of the day. The park's cleanliness was reassuring, and it certainly didn't give off the vibe of being in disrepair. As for food, our experience at the old diner was decent, though the heat lamp treatment was a minor drawback. Fortunately, most of the staff we encountered were friendly and appeared to be genuinely enjoying their work, which added to the positive atmosphere. In conclusion, Worlds of Fun continues to be a fantastic amusement park. I'm eager to return, although I do wish they offered more weekday options during the school year to cater to adults looking for off-peak visits. Additionally, it's worth noting that parking and ticket prices have increased, making a season pass an excellent value for those planning to visit multiple times. Overall, this local gem remains a source of fun and nostalgia, and I'm looking forward to my next visit.

We had fun here, but other than the carousel, there’s nothing for babies or kids under 2 years old. My husband and I went on only one ride, the Patriot, which was alright, but the wait was almost an hour. We wanted to go on the Mamba, but it was closed, and the wait times listed on the app, were so inaccurate that we gave up trying to ride anything else. Two full adult day passes only got us one roller coaster ride. It was pretty disappointing. We visited in early August on a Saturday, so I realize it was probably the height of the season, but in order for the kids in our group to get on any rides, we had to pay $85 each on top of the general admission price to get a fast pass. Everything inside the park is incredibly overpriced, which is expected. I recommend bringing your own beverages and packing a small cooler. I wouldn’t have minded spending the money on the food in the park, but the options were not good. The food was just terrible during the daytime. I visited a couple times when I was a kid and have wonderful memories. It’s changed a lot since then. I got to do the RipCord with my sister and nephew, which was a blast, but also cost extra. Thankfully, we got a second wind and returned for the 50th anniversary celebration Grand Carnivale. That really improved our overall experience. I don’t think I’d return if it wasn’t for the late night show we got to see. The performers did a wonderful job and the international food tasting was really neat. The park is very nice, there’s lots of shaded areas, but I don’t recommend on a hot day. That another thing about eating there, it’s almost all outdoor seating. I wish we had the chance to experience Oceans of Fun, but maybe next time. I don’t like the whole fast pass thing. I think a better idea, is to update their wait times AND allow you to schedule your ride, so you’re not having to wait around for an hour for each ride. Waiting really spoils the experience. They allow you to schedule the rip cord, so why not do the same with the most popular roller coaster? I’d love to see that in the future. It’d make this place much more appealing.

This is a great amusement park. They have really great Rollercoasters. The park is very clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. I loved the safari theme. One of my favorite attractions was the real steam locomotive. The lines moved along quickly. I had a problem with my drink pass which was taken care of quickly.

The Haunt is always a good time. This year is the first year we purchased season tickets due to safety concerns of the past. Their chaperone policy has definitely worked. If you've stay away like we did for such reasons I can attest it's a safe place for everyone all evening.

This place is excellent! Very clean with lots of restaurants and stores. I had a strange day here. We saw a snake on the river of the Nile, saw an NFL star, and a missing child almost walk out onto the Zambezi Zinger tracks. The roller coasters are also great! I would definitely recommend fast passes.

Short lines, fun rides, lots of food and drink areas, good coaster line up, the only bad part was the operations, besides that great park

We came on Father's Day. The park is super clean (minus maybe the bathroom sinks- they could use a scrub) and lines were really short. We were all grateful for how little waiting we did. My daughter loved Planet Snoopy (and the guy manning the Red Barron ride was amazing with the kids). Mamba was certainly my favorite and we rode it more than once. My husband had a great time on the wooded rollercoasters. We got burritos for lunch that were surprisingly good and funnel cakes that were made to perfection! The woman at the counter was even kind enough to take a picture of their ingredients so I could check for an allergy. The thing keeping from giving it 5 stars is a lot of things were closed. Some would open later in the day, then others would immediately close. It was kind of a bummer to visit a theme park and not be able to ride a significant number of the rides.

Super fun! We didn't have time to ride everything! The Patriot was amazing. Klutch, working in the parking area was really fun and nice! You are appreciated! The petting zoo was awesome, too. Also, it was safe. I know a lot of people are concerned after that brawl. There are new regulations put into place to prevent a similar incident and we had no issues with anyone.

It is a great place to go and learn about this part of our history. A lot of pictures, descriptions, artifacts, and educational films throughout. I stopped and red the majority of items and watched the films, and it took about 2 hours to go through. Tickets purchased in the baseball gift shop. If you plan on going to the jazz museum as well take your recipt to the jazz gift shop for $2 off that ticket.

This was an amazing experience. We see the sign for this place when we travel going on 5 years now. We decided just to come here this weekend and finally see it. It sure did not disappoint. The artifacts the set up was just uplifting and educational, and the Jackie Robinson part actually made me tear up a little bit. Great place, thank you!

I am so glad I came here while visiting KC. I learned so much and felt so connected to the history through all the different ways you could experience the museum - displays, audio rooms, gift shop, and the baseball field. Highly encourage folks to visit here!

This was our first visit. As long time baseball fans we enjoyed this so much!!! So happy this part of baseball history is here to learn from. The price was worth the time we spent there (1 1/2 hours). We would recommend a visit to anyone who is a fan of baseball! It is recommended to purchase tickets online in advance.

Wonderful place to appreciate the contributions and conditions that great players had to face. Sad that museum was smaller than I expected with less artifacts. Video displays were very dated and wish more people would contribute to modernize, which is sorely needed. The Era and the people should never be lost to time...we should all support the museum and make it the deserving showcase it should be for the other half of America's Pastime. (Would be great to also find a way to expand it a little to include Latinos, Women, and other cultures who were involved as well)

A MUST See if you’re in Kansas City. So much history-this Museum reflects how much MLB ignored the accomplishments of these players; many of their records still stand. Satchel Page, Cool Papa Bell, Jackie Robinson- know these names. Buy a membership and support this American treasure!

What a great way to spend a few hours. This place was great...love the history, even though the subject matter is far from awesome....seriously...any baseball fan needs to put this on their bucket list. There were some typos in some of the sinage, which was a little annoying, but it doesn't take away from the information. It was pretty hot in the museum, so take that into consideration, but the staff was nice and helpful, it was clean, and only $10!

I didn't actually go in but they were closed on Monday and I just took pictures in the surrounding areas but I will be going there pretty much soon so I can provide some more pictures but the guard that was there was very nice and he let me know that the museum was closed

Longtime Baseball fan but this was a new experience for me. So grateful for the people who made this museum a reality. We started by watching the intro video (sit in bleachers which was a neat touch). Then spent rest of time reading all the tidbits and history. So many mementos, photos, uniforms, clippings and quotes. Bleachers from original stadiums also are on site. The final stop is a miniature infield with bronze statues, very cool to stand with Satchel Paige and Josh Gibson! Highly recommend you stop in and visit this gem. Included in the building is the American Jazz museum and also history area of 18th & Vine.

This small museum has a lot to offer. There is a ton of information on the history of the league and many of the players. There is also a running timeline of real history to give everything a sense of place. There is a strong Kansas City connection, with a large number of players coming up through the roster of the Kansas City Monarchs. There are a couple of vignettes and a nice collection of equipment, jerseys, and caps. The exhibits circle a life size replica of a playing field with bronze statues of players. At the beginning of the tour there is a really wonderful short overview film narrated by James Earl Jones. If you follow baseball at all, this is a must see. Really well done facility.

A great educational experience for only $10 per adult! Seeing the different jerseys was cool. Definitely a good afternoon activity.

We were visiting Kansas City and St. Louis for some baseball games and stopped in to check out the museum—it was fantastic. It was small, but really the perfect size. It took us about an hour to go through at most. It was filled with a lot of memorabilia and facts, and even a small baseball field with historical players, which I loved. I’m glad we stopped in to see it. It’s also next door to the Jazz museum and you could purchase tickets to see both, or one or the other.

Really great place with a ton of history. Seeing all the different uniforms and elevating these players is awesome. We also got to get in for free because it was black history month. Definitely check it out.

I went there for a special event that includes being able to walk through the full museum. It is such a gem of a place! I felt like I learned so much about Kansas City that I hadn't known before, not to mention all the crazy baseball facts. My favorite part was all of the historic jerseys on display. Looking at the stitching and the fabrics and the pictures of the men who would have worn them... Man it made it so real and personal. The staff was warm and professional. You can tell they love what they do! It isn't a huge museum, but there is a lot in there! If you take your time and read everything/check every display it could easily take a full afternoon. If you just want a quick skim (more of what I did) you could do it in about an hour and still come away with a deeper understanding of the history. Definitely worth a visit!!

Excellent small museum packed with a wealth of info and memorabilia. I especially enjoyed the pre-Nego Leagues history. As a Cubs fan, Cap Anson is reprehensible. Nice mix of videos as well.

VISITED July 18, 2023 If you are a baseball fan and enjoy learning history such as Negro ball players that contributed to the game of baseball, this museum is a must. You will need a good couple of hours to go through this small museum. There is so much to see and read from the beginning as early as the 1920's. If you are an empathetic person such as me, you will have some emotional moments reading what these pioneers of negro baseball endured. But they paved the path for the negro ball players that play today. The exhibits were quite informative and visually pleasing throughtout. From start to finish, you won't get bored. At the end you get to be apart of the negro ball field with replica statues of these legendary ball players. Overall: You must visit while in Kansas City!

This was a great experience for me & my family. To see how the museum has all sorts of memorabilia. You can also sit in there & watch a brief video. The atmosphere was lovely, the customer service was outstanding. No hassle parking, showed bar codes on our cellphones for entry. The baseball caps, jerseys, & t-shirts were available for purchase. A must see museum

Its a great place to spend some quality time. Even though it is smaller in size every section you will be engaged. I have visited with my 3year old, he felt bored at building of legos but remaining musical games, kids playzone, train ride and other ride on's made him happy. I am very much impressed with the displays of Kansas city built with Legos particularly Unioun Station and Museum buildings. I felt the Lego Shop is resonable too. We have purchased a combo ticket for Legoland Discovery Center and SeaLife Kansas, half day each and one full day is sufficient for both.

The kids will love it. It is smaller, less grand than I imagined it would be, though. It can be fun for adults but in general as an adult I wouldn't expect to get much out of this. There are several stations for kids to play at to build with Lego. Otherwise, there are a number of small attractions. Small rides, indoor playground areas, a cinema and other similar things. There is a food court with star bucks and various foods.

Lots of fun activities! Not enough Lego of the appropriate type to complete the activities at each station. Better signage would be helpful as well. Somewhat unorganized. Give yourself at least 2-3 hours if you want to visit each activity station/ride.

Had a great time exploring and interacting with all the displays. Staff was really friendly and helpful. It was a bit pricey but worth experiencing at least once when your in KC

I had so much fun here with my kids. There is a little something for everyone who loves Lego. Tons of hands on building and activities. My kids especially liked the car building and the stop motion stations. Their gift shop was also great and my kids were able to make their own minifigs although the minifigs building area was kinda chaotic and kinda limited There are two rides. One of which was kinda disappointing because a couple the laser "guns" to shoot the bad guys didn't work. This one also had a fairly long wait considering how short the ride was. Over all, I would definitely go again.

Catered to smaller kids (10 and younger I would say). This place is very crowded be prepared to wait a bit before playing with Legos. My kids were at the top end of what I would say would enjoy the place...the one ride and the areas to build are more for the younger side of kids. But the atmosphere was fun, the workers were friendly and everything was clean considering kids were touching everything constantly. The gift shop had some fun lego kits be warned you'll want to spend some money there.

Fun times had by kids and adults! Definitely spent 2 hours there easily, playing the games and building Legos. Such a fun and busy environment with plenty to do. Build race cars, play on jungle gyms, watch a 4D movie, Virtual Reality ride and more.

We stopped here on accident but glad we did. This was a fun little destination with some cute fun rides and things for the kids. We did the treasure hunt package, which I would not recommend, as the kids get way to occupied on a busy day to focus on things and rules of the games.

We drive 3 hours to KC for this specially. The kids had a great time so it was worth it. Not as large as we had hoped. Spent about 4 hours there and we went to sea life too. After I recommend crossing the street and Exploring the shops.

We have taken our kids her a few times always a good time and we always noticed something new or different. Buying Ticino adavance help but the time we haven't the lines are never that long

Kids had fun. Minus a star because this center is very small. It took us 2 hours to see everything here. We came on a workday morning and there is no wait and no crowd. I had to hold my 3 months old baby and couldn’t get on the ride with my older two kids. the staff is very nice to ride with them so the kids could go on both the rides.

My kids LOVED everything about Legoland. The things to play and assemble kept hem entertained. I've been when it was super crowded and when slightly empty. Both times the kids had a blast. Both times I felt like there should be a tad bit more inside for the cost.

We took my granddaughter here as part of a girls weekend spent in Kansas City. She had a great time playing and even made a couple of new friends. This place is laid out great for kids with lots of activities and things to do. A really nice gift shop is available for purchasing Legos, and other toys and souvenirs. It’s worth spending a little extra money to visit the aquarium attached to Legoland. If you have the time I would recommend doing both.

Our family of 5 gave this an average rating of 3. Some liked more than others. It's pretty small and kids were done in under 2 hours. Pricey for a short amount of entertainment. Very crowded and we couldn't comfortably enjoy activities with several large class field trips on a Tuesday, would recommend checking in advance to see which day they do not allow large groups.

I was here to attend the send worshipping concert. I came here with my friend. I haven't been here before. It's a huge stadium. But it's open stadium and hence, I felt so hot as the it's in the summer. But, I did have a good experience attending the worship.

This stadium is beautiful!!! We are here for Monster Jam and even as a fan of another football team, I was very impressed with the display of Super Bowl artifacts and other Kansas City Chiefs memorabilia. They also have some Super Bowl trophies on display. I have never personally seen one before but I can’t say that anymore 😀. I can only imagine how electrifying this place must be when the Chiefs are playing.

This was our first time visiting and it wasn’t what we expected. We had high expectations given the reputation of the Chiefs. We came here for a concert. The concert itself was amazing, we loved the performance. But the parking situation was awful. We thought we wouldn’t have any issues when we pre-purchased our parking pass but that was far from the truth. Just trying to get to the parking lot was a nightmare. Leaving was even worse. Thousands of people were all trying to get through the tunnel to get to the pedestrian bridge. During the chaos, hundreds of people just started to jump the fence and walk through tall grass to get to the parking lots. Given the fact that the Chief games always sell out, we figured it would be more organized than it was. Inside the stadium wasn’t the best either. There is very little air circulation so it’s like a giant sauna. The bathrooms are even worse. If you’re planning to attend an event or game here for the first time just be prepared. Be prepared to wait a long time, leave early, like a few hours early, if it’s summer bring plenty of water and a portable fan.

The stadium is in decent shape for its age but it’s alright because this place is lit. It is to bad we could not get the tax thing done. Arrowhead has to be the best stadium in the world. The best part is the game, watching Mahomes and Kelce is lit, but the tailgating is amazing the fans are crazy and hyped for every game.

Sunday Night Football 12/5/21, Denver Broncos VS KC Chiefs. This was my first Kansas City Chiefs game experience at Arrowhead Stadium and it was awesome! The tickets were a gift and transferred to me electronically and the purchase of the parking pass on-line was equally easy and convenient to managed all through the KC Chiefs mobile app. We arrived 2.5 hrs prior to kick-off, which was wise due to the volume of people attending this Sunday evening game. Despite the traffic and volume of people in attendance, entering the Sports Complex was fairly easy, due to clearly marked signage and staff directing traffic. Once parked, getting into the stadium was made easy by the ticket details on the app that directed us to which gate we should enter through in relation to our seats. There are 'Fan's First' booths and a great number of stadium personnel eager to answer questions and give directions and or assistance when asked. The stadium is beautiful, clean and easy to navigate through. Concessions were abundant at every turn although very pricey. Restroom facilities were equally abundant and clean with an attendant in each location. For a first timer, entering our section and looking around the stadium and down at the playing field was breathtaking for me. I was thoroughly impressed with my first Chiefs experience and this facility. My husband and I had fun, the crowd and the energy generated by sharing this experience with 80,000 other fans is something I'll never forget! I can't wait to attend another game. Final score: DEN Broncos 9 KC Chiefs 22 (W) This sports complex is definitely a brilliant jewel in Kansas City's crown!

Got a fantastic tour of Arrowhead during our first-time visiting KC a few weeks ago! AL gave a great and extensive tour, answered our questions, and was rightfully proud of the facility his team calls home. Definitely one of the best stadium tours I have been on.

Stadium staff was rude. I’ve never been to a concert alone and was confused about my seating, and the people who could help me were passive aggressive. Security was just so annoyed to be there. Wish the speakers were in the bathroom, with those lines I didn’t want to have to miss the show. But I appreciate that the men’s were turned into women’s for this concert. Pickup line had a lot of great signage but after the concert, no security to be seen there. Things could have gone smoother if they were helping cars move along.

Such a great experience at Arrowhead Stadium to watch the Chiefs play! We did the stadium tour. If you are able to do that, you should. The same with tailgating before the game. We arrived at 10:30am and the whole day was just a great memorable experience!

Whooo, we had a great time at this stadium! Plenty of awesome concessions including Chickie and Pete's. Their fries with cheese sauce are incredibly good. The lines weren't too crazy and we had a great time tailgating. KC knows how to do tailgating right. I was also happy to see how inviting the crowd was to opposing team fans. A lot of Stadiums are much less hospitable like Philly. Great experience for all!

Got to tour the stadium. It's so amazing. Was listed as a 90-minute tour and ended up being 2 hours long. The lady leading the tour was amazing. She answered tons of questions, and you get an amazing behind the scenes look at what goes on there! In addition you get a 15% discount in the pro shop after the tour is over.

Great stadium, awesome atmosphere, visitor's side has the sun. We had tickets including the Founder's Club with free food and drinks) fantastic. The Fans are fabulous and the staff was awesome. A kid stadium that gives you goosebumps when you hear the chants. Loved every minute if it and not because I love the Bengals

I scored some opening day tickets from work I chose to take my almost 10 year old. It was his first ever game and what a game and experience it was for him. Arrowhead is a first class operation and runs like a clock. My boy said "Best day ever" That's all that mattered for me. He had the time of his life. Thanks for the memories!!!

Went to see George Strait in concert here. Beautiful stadium. Lots of helpful staff. Great memorabilia display. Had an awesome time. George.....King of country!!

This is a must do travel experience! Even if you are not a Chiefs’ fan, when Arrowhead gets loud….it is a whole new ballgame! Must try! Love the set up and recommend getting to the parking lot at least an hour before kickoff on regular season games, 2 for postseason games. Arrowhead’s tailgating experience is also a must do! Hang with other fans! You will create the best memories! Another thing for the ultimate fan is a stadium tour! Our tour was so fun that our teens still talk about it! It is worth every cent to create those lasting memories! I will soon return to do the tour on field before the game. Go Chiefs!

Long time fan, first home game. The experience was out of this world. The hall of fame area was amazing. They have all the trophy's on display, some uniforms, even the Superbowl rings! The food was decent, better than other stadiums I've eaten at. The drinks were very good. They have a vodka Lemonade that was fantastic, and gave me a bit of a buzz from just 1. We unfortunately lost the game but it was an experience to remember! And I will absolutely be back ASAP!

Love the stadium! I drove down from Minneapolis to check out the playoff game against Miami. Ticket prices were fairly decent because of how cold the game was but I'm glad I got to check out a playoff game at Arrowhead! Chiefs fans are loud and crazy! That's by far the loudest stadium I've been in, and the fans next to me were friendly and generous with hand warmers and cardboard to stand on to keep my feet warmer, even though I'm a Charger fan! Lol

Nice football stadium with accommodating fans. The parking is easy there just be sure to purchase before you go. Navigating the stadium is rather easy but the signage all around could be better, in the stadium and parking lots. Plenty of different options for food and it looks like there isn't a bad seat in the house.

This was a five star experience! 2023 season chiefs vs bills. We lost but I had fun with my family. Good food and beer and lots of merchandise to buy and show support. Will definitely go again!

I was passing through ( no events) just wanted to see the stadium. I was impressed with the availability of parking being used to the mods center in Portland (limited parking) And Lumen field in Seattle (literally no parking). I didn’t go in but it was a good experience.

The stadium itself is decent. The feel with the fans and the cheering is incredible. The fans make the stadium what it is. I'm from Dallas and a Dallas fan so I am used to luxury stadiums, Arrowhead could definitely use an upgrade. We however will be back, not in December as I hate the cold and with this stadium being wide open there is nothing to stop the wind from biting you in the face but the enjoyment for the game is too notch in the loudest stadium on record. The tailgating is like nothing I've ever experienced, if you're going to a game make it a point to tailgate.

Our family of 5 enjoyed the public tour. Plenty of time is built in for photos of each area, and we did not feel rushed at all. Total time was probably closer to 2 hours. There was a chance we would not get to go down to the field due to some sort of filming, but very thankful they still let us do that part of the tour.
