In March we took the House tour and loved it. We came back in July to take the Walk With Spirits Tour. We had a blast! We love the tours here. Staff are so knowledgeable and friendly. The house is amazing, great for those into history and spirits. We bought our tickets online prior, which made it so easy, no wait at all. Highly recommend all of the tours they offer here.

I absolutely love the house. It's cute, quirky, and inspiring. However the tickets were way overpriced, considering it wasn't even the whole house and the inside was incredibly hot (I get that AC is quite impossible but feel like some of the money on the ticket could be spent on more and better fans), and that the tour is quite short for the price (the turnaround rate is high, which again I get, but I wish we had more time to check out every room, instead of being rushed by the next tour.) Worth visiting and it was super fun, but get ready to spend.

We were in San Jose for a concert and found the Winchester Mystery House while searching for things to do during the day, and I'm glad we did. The one hour tour was great, and our tour guide gave us some great history while injecting a lot of humor as well. It was a really good time, and we enjoyed learning about and seeing the house. All of the different features meant to confuse the ghosts were fun to see. (They were set up for a Halloween event, so some of my photos have those items in there that normally aren't set up.)

Definitely a must see in San Jose, I attended a walk with the spirits tour. It lasted around 1 hour, or guide Katy was kind and very informative. The tour takes you through a lot of the house and there’s tight spots where you have to duck and wear a hard hat. So if you have mobility issues it could be a little challenging. Theres also stairs to climb. But overall a great tour. My group had a lot of fun!

It was interesting, the house was a novelty and a fun piece of history. Sarah, our guide, was nice and very knowledgeable. My other thoughts: the tour ran about 90 minutes, which was a little long for me at the end, though the most elaborate rooms are at the end so it ends on a high note. The price is very high, totalling $90 for the two of us. I've been to a lot of historic monuments, palaces, castles, etc. and that's the highest price I've ever seen. I don't think it's worth it-as a comparison, the Tower of London or Westminster Abbey is almost half the price. Interesting, but priced too high. Tickets sell out so you might want to reserve online.

We were there on March 12, 2024. Amazing house. We loved some of the woodworking details. Sarah had put a lot of thought into the details of the house. Some things weird, like stairs going up but nowhere, walls behind doors, etc. Our guide was knowledgeable. I would like to see a smaller group (about 4-5 persons less) so everyone can get into the rooms. Loved the bedroom areas If you are in the area, you must visit. We enjoyed it.

We did an afternoon tour on a weekday. Drove there and was able to purchase tickets for the next tour. Each tour lasted about an hour and it was packed with fun facts about the house. I highly recommend this tour. Very unique house full of mystery and history. My kids and I all enjoyed it. Our guide was awesome!

This place is amazing. We were fortunate to go during the narrow window of time when they were offering an extended version of the tour to areas that are usually off limits. Very cool. The tower room with the crazy acoustics was probably my favorite part. I love the entire house and property though. Fantastic experience. I'm so grateful that this place has been preserved. It's really cool.

What a fun experience. The house is lovingly maintained and the grounds are exquisite especially the garden. It was fun to walk around after the tour. The tour guide was informative if not rehearsed but I guess that's to be expected after saying the same thing all day every day. Kind of funny to see this house and grounds smack in the middle of the city with condos and offices around but also loved the old photos of what the area looked like when it was originally purchased. Gift shop was well stocked with everything you could imagine. Fascinating story of Sarah Winchester.

We had a wonderful time at this fabulous old home! Our guide Griffin was exceptional; kind, patient and very knowledgeable. The home itself is fascinating and beautiful, and the gardens are lovely! Buy tickets in advance and for first thing in the morning during the summer months as it does get hot!

Loved our visit to this place! Me and my bestie have always wanted to see the Winchester Mystery House and it did not disappoint! Only thing disappointing was that urban sprawl has encroached upon the surrounding area and has the essence of putting this beautiful property in a little hole. My friend always imagined it as being away from the city and on its own little land high on a hill somewhere. But still, the mansion was cool and mysterious, even during the day. My friend said she felt anxiety in one of the rooms and, for some reason, the seance room was much colder than any of the other rooms. I thought a window was open, but there wasn't! Our tour guide had a dry humor, but it was appropriate for this kind of establishment. Slightly creepy, very interesting, and just the right amount of historical facts to make the tour enjoyable. Bring your walking shoes! This place was huge!

For 13 years I've been waiting for this tour and it was worth every penny. The tour guide was fantastic, the gardens were easy to navigate and the gift shop was pretty alright. The gift shop was a tad expensive but if you want memorabilia it was perfect. I love this place and I hope to return another time.

The Winchester Mystery House tour is amazing and so completely worth visiting! Our guide, Kai, was knowledgeable, captivating, and friendly. He shared facts, not fiction, while sharing the story of Sara Winchester's life. The house is a piece of fascinating, historic architecture, full of interesting tales and visuals. I would totally take this tour again, it was so fascinating I am sure I missed things because I was so enthralled! The gardens are beautiful and so peaceful to stroll through. We went on the regular tour but will definitely go back for the Candlelight tour! Oh! And the Menagerie of Oddities & Curiosities Market that was taking place was super rad with local artisans and artists, can't wait to go back!

Impromptu visit on Saturday--reserve your tour ahead of time online. They seem to fill up fast! Wish the tours had a smaller group limit so that we could see a little more of the house and spend more time with tour guide. Overall, the home is amazing. If you enjoy Victorian design and stained glass, then this is a must see. Great way to spend some time in downtown San Jose if the weather is nice. Brenda was our guide and she was very friendly and hospitable.

Loved this place. The house and grounds are beyond stunning. Parking was easier than I expected and the tour guides were fun. I enjoyed learning about the history. We did both tours and felt the price for the explore more tour was not a great value, but the $ you pay helps fund the restorations needed so I'm okay with that. Also we arrived basically one minute before our scheduled tour and they were very accommodating and offered to change our time before I could even ask.

We toured on our weekend getaway. What an AWESOME experience! Very unique! Just wish there was a little more time in between rooms; not only for pictures but to allow the available presence(s) to come through more. Faces are within paintings/pictures in pictures. Definitely does not sell short of the energy in that building! Beautiful architecture! Captivating! Now, we just need a midnight tour or sleepover! ☺️

We were driving through and I wanted to stop to see it. I have heard so much about the house. My wife and just gone on the house tour and "spirits" tour several weeks before with her girlscout troop. The girls really enjoyed both tours. We walked around the grounds and gift shop, but did not go inside. It is a beautiful home. They do a great job taking care of it! It is amazing to think it used to be a working farm, surrounded by orchards. Now it is surrounded by office buildings and apartments. If you are in the area, you have to stop and see it.

Historical aspects that were beautiful to see. Great tour guide with a sense of humor. We went in August so it was hot but we still enjoyed the tour. Lots of walking, lots of stairs, some original items, but most things were brought in to recreate the home dynamic. We definitely want to go back and see the other tour options.

Have never been here before so I will review everything I did individually…. Oct 6- Unhinged experience VIP 930pm This is a fun experience for kids, but pricey and in my opinion not worth the price. Oct 7- spirit tour 150pm Fun and informative. Vic was a great host with a lot of stories and experience (I believe he has been there since 2018) Answered any and all questions- great host! A+ Oct 8- mansion tour Also fun and informative! Victoria was our host this day. It was only her second day and you would have never known it! She was wonderful. Answered all questions and was so much fun. Everyone truly enjoyed her, I feel she has a long time employment here (maybe even into the afterlife 🤣) I bundled the last 2 tours which made it a great deal. Also, these 2 tours take you to different parts and rooms of the house so I highly recommend doing both! I really loved all the stained glass in the house.

A must-see experience for every fan of the eccentric or unusual or even Victorian architecture. It's difficult to convey my feelings about the Winchester Mystery House. I'm not a believer in spooks or spirits, so the exact reason why my memory of the house has lingered at the front of my consciousness for weeks after my visit is peculiar to put it mildly. My initial impression was simply how overwhelming the maintenance of the house must be on an ongoing basis. We paid for the 10:50 am "Guided Mansion Tour" on a Saturday. Tickets were $41.99 each. Our tour guide was Marissa, a lovely young lady wearing a period costume. She was professional, enthusiastic about the property (she referred to the Winchester House as a "home" throughout the tour), and a delightful host. We heard some of the other tour guides that overlapped ours due to the layout of the house, and I am pleased that we were lucky to be assigned Marissa for our tour. She was great! Highly recommended!!!

We absolutely loved this house! Our tour guide Olivia Maldonado went above and beyond for our tour. We loved the architecture, history, "haunted" part and everything else. Olivia let us rest when my Make-a-Wish kiddo needed a break and we got to use ghost hunting tools in the house. We got to hear the history behind doors that lead to nowhere, the stairs that lead to nowhere, the number 13 throughout the house and so many more fun tidbits. Their gift shop is huge and super well priced. Olivia made the tour so enjoyable! 100% worth your time to go and enjoy as there's something for everyone.

We made a detour on our camping trip on our way home from the Coast of California and visited the Winchester Mystery House. You must do this tour! You'll be telling friends forever that they should go too! After we had a really great lunch in town at an upscale Mexican Restaurant just a 5 min. Walk from there. Great day!

Creepy but fun! Definitely has spooky vibe, but we had a good time. We had a novice guide so she did her best. Would like to go back during October and do the nighttime tours! 👻

My wife and I had the opportunity to attend a TAPS Paranormal investigation at the Winchester Mystery House. I have been to the Winchester house about 4 times with my first time being about 55 years ago, but never at night and in the dark. The event was top-notch with friendly staff and knowledgeable staff from TAPS West Coast. The TAPS crew were using a vast array of equipment, and each of the guests had their own K2 EMF detector. We went into areas previously unavailable to the public. If they ever offer this experience again, do it.

Beautiful house. I did enjoy my tour guide, Milo. Very quirky and fun. Gets really into it and knew a lot of other facts not mentioned. Although the introvert in me wouldn’t mind a self guided mobile tour as well. Very touristy with the gift shop but I did get a shirt and magnet. Was a nice piece of history. The cool part of history. Was eye easy to buy tickets online and go right inside to the waiting area.

Emma. The tour guide was awesome and lovely to listen too Very outgoing and well prepared and spontaneous. Loved every minute was thrilling and exciting to learn very informative. Definitely recommend to take some time and take the tour of this beautiful home. Look forward to do the extended tour with spirits soon.

Experience: really good experience. The house is exactly how you would imagine, quirky rooms, strange staircases, lots of windows and very unique features. The tour guide was very informative and knowledgeable but he went too fast. As soon as he finished telling us about the area we were in, it was time to walk on to the next area. So there was not much time to take it all in. It would have been nice if he spoke just a tad slower and paused before moving on. In their defense though, there is ALOT of information to cover. The house has so much character. I recommend visiting if you have a spare couple of hours.

I love this place. It's been twenty plus years since I've been over here so I thought I should check it out again. It's amazing how much you forget over the years. It's just a neat old quirky house. The story behind it really does enhance the experience. We only did the house tour because it was raining. Like I already said, I loved it. The guide was great and there was plenty to see. Would recommend. Not a lot of pics because I was too busy looking with my eyes.

Well worth a trip to see the kooky Winchester mansion. It's well furnished, and the Christmas decorations were fun and fitting in the house. The multiple sets of stairs on the standard tour are worth consideration if you're going with children, seniors, or mobility restricted people. The tour is about a mile of walking. They do offer ADA tours as well.

Great place for all ages to learn and experience the beauty of science and technology. Fun, interactive exhibits including a challenge to build a contraption that catapults balls as far and high as you can. Awesome place. It also has a built in IMAX theater, but it doesn't play blockbuster type movies. Had a blast here.

Came down as a chaperone for a school field trip. I do love science museums and this one was no disappointment. There was quite a variety exhibits to interact with I just wish we had more time. We took part in the physics roller coaster class that the kids really enjoyed. The living colors lab was also very insightful. If you for get to bring your lunch the cafe has plenty of options.

This is definitely an ages 5-15 place. They have a lot of interesting interactive exhibits focused on science related topics. This is definitely a great place to bring your kids.

Fun and educational for both kids and adults. The IMAX movie is awesome and worth revisiting.

Recommend to download their app and get the audio tour. Description in museums are self-explanatory. Some portions of exhibition reminds of movie The mummy. They have nice outdoor spaces as well.

I didn't know this museum was here. Anywho, this place is awesome. It is surprisingly much larger than it looks from outside the compound. Inside the museum, there are plenty of authentic artifacts and relics to look at and to read about. The tomb replica were you walk-thru was a nice touch and gave it an immersive experience. Will definitely go back since it's local.

When 1st looking into visiting, google hinted at the average stay time of 2 hrs. I stayed nearly 5 hrs and really enjoyed both the grounds and the museum (I'm a bit of an art history nerd). They allow in & out privileges, too. Parking is free, easy, and nearby. The art is incredible.

Great museum with many gorgeous artifacts. It was quite busy this Sunday, but we were able to see all exhibits at our leisure. Don't miss the tour through the tomb. It's worth your time. The exterior is absolutely wonderful.

If you are in San Jose, this museum you should visit. It's a cool place for family too. If you drive to this museum, there are two free parking (on Chapman St) behind the museum. Must visit the garden, it is beautiful. The biggest hibiscus tree I have not ever seen. If it's your first time, please stop the section behind the reception. The video shows the introduction of this museum. I love the idea they have their own app. It's so interesting to learn from this app and visit every sections. My trip for this museum was around 2.5 hrs. Love it. Strong recommend!

I've been coming here off and on since I was a kid and honestly nothing has changed and that's totally okay because now I have my own kid and he was so excited to just be around somewhere that had what was to him "monsters". We explored inside first and then afterwards he got to do all the running around in the garden.

This museum is a hidden gem and houses a wealth of history. My family and I visited late in the day and we were only able to see the main building. However, we did take a quick walk around the gardens which are beautiful. We will return to see the library next time.

Very Cool! Tons to see and read. Very Large Exihbit. Make sure you have at least 2 hours or more, to really see everything. The staff were professional and friendly. I highly recommend this museum for all ages. A great place to take your family. I recommend bringing ear pods or headphones, so that you can do the audio part, through your cel phone. Parking was pretty easy in the back. We went on the weekend. Enjoy.

You could easily lose sense of time if you are here at Rosicrucian's. It is a quaint place , telling you the history of one of the oldest & very impressive civilization on earth ! They also conduct workshops to engage visitors of all ages. Fortunately, on the day of my visit they had mummification workshop, where folks were given a kit with fake organs to wear like a jacket and the experts explained the process of mummification. It was fun and very educational. The artifacts, slabs, sculptures and the overall experience is very authentic. Also enjoy their peace garden, just roam around and you would be transferred into another world. If you get tired or need to step outside for a hot beverage, there is a Starbucks just around the corner , roughly 200 ft down the road. You must plan your next visit soon.

Great time, the self-guided tour was easy to follow. Accessibility can be a bit challenging, but they have ramps for all the stairs. The gardens are beautiful! So many ancient artifacts. The passport book is great for kids

I can say that I thoroughly recommend this museum for all groups of all ages. The curation is diverse and entertaining. There are guided and self-guided tours with a passport system to keep track of what you've done. There are interactive games for you to play and the area itself is free to browse. They maintain their grounds well, you can tell a lot goes into keeping this place looking prim and proper. There's complimentary parking on the side and ample street parking all around.

Highlight for me when visiting this museum? The Egyptian tomb beneath it. The audio gave a detailed explanation of what I saw on the walls. This museum has plenty of beautiful relics, models of archaeological sites, sarcophagus, and even an outdoor garden to enjoy. You won't regret visiting this museum of you are into Egyptian history.

The tour of a replica Egyptian burial tomb was the best part. Very old aesthetic, inside the museum. A good amount of the museum is about death, coffins, and mummies. The lighting inside is very dim. The outside garden could be kept better. There are some nice Egyptian fixtures out there. Parking is free with a lot behind the building.

Pretty nice Collection! They have a helpful guided tour too. Wish they had lunch options on site and were stroller friendly.

My husband and I visited this museum about a year ago during our vacation. It was super interesting with lots to see and read inside. Also did the fun, little guided tour through the "tomb". The garden landscape outside was neat too.

Amazing hidden gem in the heart of San Jose. I have lived in the area for years and never thought much of going to this. It looks small from the outside but like the ancient pyramids, there's more than meets the eye! There are actually several levels inside, including an underground tunnel and recreation of a tomb deep within the catacombs. The grounds are much more extensive than what can be seen from the street and are nothing short of spectacular, including sculptures, fountains and ancient Egyptian symbols hidden amongst the myriad trees and swaying Papyrus. I'm so glad I finally went with my family! It's also reasonably priced and they even offer discounts for students, veterans and more. Do yourself a favor and take a trip through ancient history to visit Egypt in your backyard!

Fantastic collection of historic items and insightful remnants. Everything from collected pieces of tools and wares, to scale models of various buildings and temples, to even some full-body preserved remains. There's lots to see here, and it's all presented really well. There's also a guided walking tour through a mock-up of an Egyptian tomb, which is absolutely worth checking out (though it can be a bit claustrophobic in some areas). Absolutely worth the visit, and it's also worth it to check out the gardens outside the main building as well.

Very nice place not to expensive $10 for adults over 18 And discounts for children under 18 and college students or Military Was pretty busy. But amazing ALOT to see outside as well Friendship Gardens and Koi fish on the water. Very pleasant trip.

What a beautifully curated museum with fine attention to detail and thorough respect to all of the artifacts! There is literally so much to see and read! It took us about 3 hours to get through the in door portion of the museum. Please make sure to spend some time in the beautiful tranquil garden and relax, eat a picnic lunch or read a book. You won't regret it!

This is our second time here and it was just as fun as the first time!! The exhibits are so informative and well laid out. We always learn something new! Must go into the Tomb it is so cool but a little dark to give the effect of being underground. So many details to look at. There is a room with diagrams of different life styles, like the queen in her room, or carpenters building, a family having dinner, etc. The details in the displays are so great and well done! Entrance cost $20 for two people and we spent a whole afternoon here. There are outside grounds you have access to before paying to enter the museum part. The outside grounds are beautiful, clean and relaxing. You could take a book and sit out there for hours! We will be back. Also staff was so friendly!

Great museum to visit with kids! They have a passport book and stamps for kids to collect and it was fun way to keep them engaged. The highlight for me was the rock cut tomb! It felt very realistic and an experience that I wasn't expecting to get in a museum. We went on a weekday, and there was a guided tour of the tomb that I highly recommend!

Great place for an Egypt enthusiast. I didn't see a gift shop, but we may have missed it. We enjoyed the indoor displays as well as the gardens. I'd highly recommend!

Educative museum that contains way more inside than what it seems on the outside, with an actual preserved mummy! The grounds are beautiful too with many paths through greenery. Can be quite busy on the weekends.

Best and one of the only Egyptian museums around. Many genuine artifacts. They have a very good current exhibition on Alchemy from the ancient world. $10 bucks gets you in so it's also one of the cheapest ways to spend a few hours.

The museum is very cool. Grandkids enjoyed it. The tomb tour was fun. Two tour guides did a very good job. But they need to hire a grounds keeper. Part of the experience is enjoying the outside areas. I couldn't because it is in such poor condition and the pond is so dirty. I was very upsetting to see the 2 Koi fish in disgusting dirty water. The peaceful garden was definitely not peaceful.

What a beautiful building! I enjoyed my 1st hockey game here today. The weather was gorgeous. The seat tickets were cheap but extremely tight seatings. You'd have to get up for your neighbors to walk by. Other than that, the food was okay. There were plenty of drinks, alcohol and non alcohol. There were self checkout for some snack stations. There was plenty of vendors with merchandise to sell. There was even an ice cream and taco vendor. I will definitely be back with my kids.

This is Sharks territory! I love SAP Center. I have never had a bad trip. I go at least once a year to a Sharks game with my lady and we have a blast. Just the vibe of the stadium and the fans gets even her going at a game. If you have never been. Go. Look up the next game and Go! I promise you'll be happy you did.

I live just a short walk away and it’s a great venue. I’ve worked for venues for years and always feel safe here. The employees always pay attention to things around them. It’s just the right size that any seat is a good seat here. I’ve gone for a concert back in December, a hockey game, and Disney on ice. You can also pay a little less by going to the box office to buy tickets. Update: Watch out in what section you buy for. Sat in section 120 last night for Blink 182 and the leg room was worse then a spirit airline flight. I was in shock I’ve never seen a venue with leg room that bad. I don’t remember the previous event I attended having space that little. Will definitely make me think twice about coming to another show. If we’re paying the amount of money and fees we do to attend live events we should at the very least not feel like we’re sitting with our knees to our chests

Absolutely amazing venue to host a party at. I was fortunate enough to spend the evening in one of the Penthouse Suites. The food was amazing with dishes of chicken, ribs, pork slices, and pizza. They waited until all the guests arrived and brought amazing platters of Sushi. There was a huge tub of delicious popcorn to snack on all game long. I went there for a Sharks game and was grateful to see them finish with a 2-1 victory over the Winnipeg Jets. How wild is it to say I saw the Sharks battle the Jets on ice. A rather Shakespearean affair set up with a dramatic evening. All the world is truly a Stage and we are merely players as the playwright would say. I highly recommend obtaining a parking pass for the ABC lot because it made life so much easier pulling in and leaving. The people at the ticket were kind and courteous at the entrance and carried the smiles as we left as well. SAP Center really is a top notch venue for entertainment. It was my first, but it will not be my last time. Thanks for a great time.

Sharks for the win!! Goals! Such a fun venue. Whether you're coming for a game or a show, you’ll have a blast. They have lots of tasty food options. Today, I chose smoking pig BBQ. Burnt ends, baked beans, and cornbread. The Kernel has the best freshly popped popcorn.

I was eating dinner at a local restaurant and noticed the Sharks were playing on TV. So after dinner I walked to the stadium, bought a ticket, and got to see the second and third periods! Good fun on a random adventure. Nice stadium too.

We came to the SAP Center for a Bellator MMA fight and it was such a good time. We sat in section 128 and our view was great. Seats are comfortable and I like that the stairs are not steep. Parking for our event was $30. Plenty of food & drink concession stands. Restrooms have many stalls and are clean. Sound is great and the temperature is perfect. There was no staff guiding us to our seats so people were getting confused but it wasn't hard to find. Overall, we had a great experience at this beautiful venue.

Watched the Jurassic World Live Tour here and it was awesome! Easy parking, clean seats and a great view.

FANTASTIC time last night at the SAP Center (Shark Tank, for those of use from the SF East Bay) seeing Duran Duran!! Venue was great but I've been here before other events. This time tho, we paid extra for the "Jack Daniel's Lounge" before the show for a "special experience"w/food & drinks & early entry. We were celebrating our Birthdays. It was really worth it. Food was WAY better than I expected. They said "appetizers" on the ticket but what they served was more like a meal. Had a regular single bar, but also 3 "themed" drinks related to DD songs. And I have to say, our seats were EXCELLENT! (thank you, Ticketmaster 😉) As a LONG TIME DD Fan (since 1982), these were some of the best we've had in a long time. DD was EPIC & it was awesome seeing Nile Rogers & CHIC for the 1st time live.

We had a great time at the SAP center. I like that its on the smaller side. All seats have been great. Monster Jam was the best!! The food is good and the staff at the SAP center always seem to be friendly and very helpful.

I remember when it was built. I remember when the Sharks were born. I have been here for many epic hockey battles and many amazing concerts as well! And one really terrible one (Kanye West 🤮). All-in-all, though, I've had countless incredible times here. Great venue!

The Sharks game was awesome! I loved how the arena really glowed with the lights, San Jose won 2 to 1, they played great music, and the arena itself was beautiful! Without doubt I strongly recommend going if you are in San Jose! Have a great day!🏒🥅❤️⛸️😃🦈🇺🇸

A TIME WAS HAD! This is the second West Coast concert I've attended that features multiple artists. Whether you're sitting in the stands or on the floor, the sound is perfect. The security staff is professional, and the bathrooms were clean. The parking lot was super easy to navigate and exit from. I didn't eat this time, so I can't say anything about the food venues. The SAP Center is such a great place to watch the Sharks play. Every seat has a very good view of the game.

Really great staff here. They're fun and bounce well into any situation. The stadium has great viewing angles no matter what seats you get. The Sharks are currently tanking right now so, ya know, tickets are cheap. But they aren't tanking in the right way, so ya know, they're actually just legit bad. Either way, go here anyways, if only once.

Great venue, easy parking access, lots of things to do in and around the SAP Center. There was plenty of food & beverages options to choose from, we picked pizza and beers. Had fantastic seats for the Sharks Game! Lots of fellow fans were cordial and energetic, and We Won!!! Staff was attentive and very helpful. Definitely worth a trip!!!

I have been coming to this Lovely Municipal Rose Garden Every year for the last three years. The Garden is Absolutely beautiful filled with Delightful Fragrant and many Colorful Roses everywhere! Beginning of May is definitely perfect to visit this Garden. Everything is in full blooms! It is quite nice that this Rose Garden is free of admission so many people of all ages can visit this Garden and take plenty of Photographs for any occasions! It is definitely peaceful and very welcoming here! I truly enjoy coming to this Rose Garden.🦋🌷😍

A beautiful, scenic rose garden in San Jose. Roses in all possible colors and sizes adorn this park. It's maintained cleanly and is filled with people performing photo shoots. An absolute treat for the eyes. There's a big lawn for half the park to have picnics and play. The rest is filled with the magnificent roses. There's ample street parking and to top it off, it's free entry as well.

We visited in November, which should have been well past the prime blooming time, but we were amazed at the volume of blooms. This rose garden is huge! Anchored by a large fountain and reflecting pond, the garden offers lots of private areas for photos or just enjoying the blooms. We enjoyed comparing colors and picking our favorite fragrances. Special place!

A city park worthy of five stars! It's free, clean, safe and convenient for parking. It has several doors that allow you to enter and exit easily, but pets are not allowed in. I entered from the side with wisteria. Under the corridor covered with wisteria, I smelled the faint smell of soil and flowers, and looked at the green rose fields. At this time, the roses were not in bloom, and most of them were buds. Only occasionally, you will find a few scattered blooming flowers. There is a fountain around the railing in the garden. The water from the fountain shines brightly in the sun. The water in the pool is clean and clear. Due to the epidemic, people pay attention to keeping a safe distance. Some sit around the bench next to the fountain to bask in the sun, some sit under the blooming tree to enjoy the flowers, and some enjoy the rose fields while walking. They see those blooming flowers taking photos with their mobile phones ... Everything here feels so good! A place worth coming to! I will definitely come back in the near future, when the garden will be more beautiful and better!

This place is amazing! We went on Memorial Day and every rose bush was in full bloom. Acres and acres of roses. Some taller than my mom and aunt. The breeze carried the lovely scent of roses. We loved smelling the roses. Instagram worthy photos everywhere. There were lots of people taking photos including recent graduates in their gowns. Others were having picnics on the grass. It was a lovely time and I honestly don't know why this isn't higher on visitor lists, especially because roses bloom from May to the fall. The volunteers who tend to this manicured garden must be angels. I can see why it won best rose garden.

A very beautiful neighborhood rose garden built in 1931 and is one of San Jose's historic landmarks. There is a fountain in the center with rows and rows of roses of many different colors and varieties. There are also many arches great for taking portrait pictures. In May when the roses are blooming, many people come here to take graduation pictures and even wedding pictures. There are restrooms on site. Parking is available on the streets around the park.

One of my favorite gardens to visit. It offers beautiful backgrounds for wedding and other celebratory events. Make sure you don’t have to use the restrooms as they are highly hazardous and contaminated due to lack of hygiene and cleanliness.

I am so glad and grateful to have this in San Jose for free. It’s a must-see for visitors and even a great weekly walk for locals. It’s larger than photography can capture! Plenty of free street parking around the perimeter because it’s in a residential area. Bring your own tissues/hand sanitizer because sometimes the bathrooms are out of stock.

Had a great time walking around and seeing the roses! It was super sunny so bring a hat, the entrance is free and there is free street parking. We grabbed coffees from a near by coffee shop and took a stroll around the garden. The other side of the garden was open and there were lots of people enjoying the shaded parts of the garden. There was even a couple of people painting canvases of the flowers!

Fragrant, nice for mental health! Haha, this place was great, guess it's I'm the Rose garden district or something, but once you get to one of the gates it's a wonderful world full of many different varieties of roses. I parked on the southern most entrance on the street, easy enough to find parking, there was some broken glass, so obviously make sure you don't leave stuff out, but whatever. Seemed very well maintained and it was so pleasant to walk among the pathways of roses. Some were trellised and tall other were shrubs. Nice for taking photos. Plenty of space to find your own little area and a fountain in the middle. I believe the restrooms were closed at the time so they had porta potties.

Cute and quiet spot to walk around and see many different colored roses. This place gets busy with families and photographers taking photo shoots, which takes away from the place a little bit. You won’t need to spend a lot of time here. Ten minutes max is probably fine.

This garden was so much bigger than I expected. The flowers were so pretty but some were dying or haven’t sprouted. There weren’t that many people and it smells so good. The scene was relaxing and they have public restrooms! The parking is on the street so do be careful of on coming traffic. It’s worth going here not in the rainy season. Remember to wear sun screen!

Loved spending lunch time here. I walked around and smelled the roses. Nice benches to sit on. Be aware that the bathrooms are on opposite sides of the park (meaning women's and men's are separated at each end). Dogs are not allowed.

This beautiful garden in San Jose is at its peak in May. Lucky to have visited it during spring to see full blooms and a splendid display of large rose varieties. :) Must visit for people who love floral beds of colorful roses. Great for photography and picnicking. Grass could have been better maintained but the roses seem healthy. Place is nice and clean. Good for couples and families alike.

Not the biggest or the best but a genuinely lovely place to relax. And I wasn't there when they were in full bloom. Different roses were all labeled and that was really cool. Passed by on accident but had seen it on Google and decided to stop, well worth the detour!

I felt like me and my girl got catfished by the most recent review of the place. So I'll try to reverse catfish by posting my review a bit later than when I came here. Either way, they plant a lot of different types of flowers here. I think we saw an easily countable number of flowers in bloom though, like 12 flowers when we were here though.

In the midst of business trip to San Jose, I stumbled upon the Municipal Rose Garden, a sanctuary of scents and serenity. Been coming here for years. I'm a local who loves & appreciates the Rose Garden. Been coming to the Rose Garden throughout my entire life and bringing family & friends, too. It's always lovely and kept up. Smells amazing and eye candy for days. If appreciate the simple pleasures and find beauty in nature, then it's a must. There is also a lovely fountain.

The cutest little strip!! Great eateries, lots of shopping options, live music on certain nights. There are tons of little dragging areas to just sit and enjoy the atmosphere. The streets were lined with Huge beautiful palm trees! Very lively place. Kid and pet friendly.

A happening place near Westfield Valley Fair Mall which has great dining and shopping options. This place comes alive in the evening with lively music, bustling cafes, bars, ice cream parlours and people wanting to have a good time. During Christmas time, this place is very beautifully decorated and the air is festive and joyful. Not to be missed!

We just love this place. Such a cool vibe all over! They often host some local market events as well. Always clean and well decorated. The shops there are fantastic. Lots of great food and beverage options but also shopping. On the plus side the mall is like 10-15’ walking distance which makes it all so convenient. + free parking!

It’s a very manageable area to satisfy your retail therapy. Love the mix of stores. A bar in the midst of it all. Coffee and boba places in to quench your drink needs. A leisurely stroll is not too bad. Mixed residential area which is ideal if your pocket agrees. A quick hop to the freeway is also a plus. Very close to Winchester house for tourists to hit 2 birds w/ one stone.

One of the most beautiful streets. Lot of brands and nice restaurants. Must visit! On most of the evenings you’ll find live music. Parking can be done in Westfield Valley Fair or at the parking lots available at Santana Row. Very kid and pet friendly and easily accessible for the disabled. Ther are chairs available where one can take break and sit! The palm trees add an aesthetic touch to this cute street! Currently the Christmas decorations are beautiful and dreamy!

I have yet to see a place that is a better envisioned suburban downtown than Santana Row. With its palm trees, it reminiscent of Socal because they have a lot of outdoor malls while we only have the Stanford shopping center. But Santana Row is slightly different for many reasons. Olsen Drive actually lets you be next to the road for a section that cars can't drive through and you can eat in many crowded outdoor restaurants with people squeezing close by on the sidewalk and people watch. Also, cars not included. Parking is ample and it is free. Four parking garages, street parking, outdoor parking lot, and even parking across the street where Cinemark used to be. Speaking of which, they also have that Cinearts theater which sometimes plays good indie movies. There is artifical grass in the Olin area that you can actually step on. There are some lounge type areas you can go to at night and dance. The restaurants, for the most part aren't great with the exception of a couple, but the chains are consistent. They all have ambience though, including the bars at Hotel Valencia where some interesting luxurious cars are parked.

A big community and wide range of shops with restaurants and open seating areas. It was a pleasant experience to chill in a good weather having a drink under the canopy. Parking is a bit hectic here in festive and holidays .

Just a great place to stroll with family in the day. Really enjoy the shops, dining and ambience. The Nightlife is electric!

I love this place I have been coming here for 15 plus years now. This place has great stores to shop at and tons of restaurant options to choose from! If you’re into cars there are always nice cars parked up on the strip from Lamborghinis, Ferraris, McLarens and his other cool sports cars!! The landscaping here is absolutely amazing and is one of the main factors in my opinion of what makes this such a great place to visit!

It's a sizeable shopping and dining hub, with eye pleasing architecture and nicely lit in the evening.

Upscale outdoor mall with many restaurants and stores, the center area has live music on occasion, tables to hang out, and a playground for the kids. Many other restaurants within walking distance. There's a parking garage on site which is free. Right across the street on Stevens Creek, there's the valley Fair Mall. Good place to go eat (lots of choices) on a hot summer night.

Great day out with grandchildren aged 2 through to 8. Very reasonable price. Plenty of ride options available albeit some with height restrictions although there is what is called a yellow zone when the child must be accompanied by an adult. (Great excuse for Papa to take the ride) Picnic areas throughout the park so bring your own Food and enjoy. Animals more visible early in the day.

My kids and I love Happy Hollow. We love the animals and the park the rides. The only thing they lose a star for is the expensive food. I mean I know prices are through the roof for everyone and businesses but c'mon. I think I saw $7 for hummus and veggie sticks. And look at this chicken sandwich. That was just gross. Other than that I enjoy it. So next time I'll remember to pack a real lunch for my kids and I.

The kids loved it and they keep asking to go back, so we will have to become members. Definitely a fun theme park and animals you can pet and feed, rides, theater with story time, plenty of good food and friendly service, there's a gift shop, and ice cream. This theme park was well thought out and put together and there's plenty of parking.

Visited Happy Hollows for a friends daughters birthday party and it was a sweet place for all the kids got to hang out and explore the park together. The place is a good size for so many different activities for the kids in addition to just the zoo. They also have a petting zoo which all the kids enjoyed a lot. There are many rides that the kids thoroughly enjoyed.. it reminded us a bit of Disney’s. We got to see beautiful turkeys, ant eaters, and the goats and stuff. Definitely happy to come back anytime and it’s a great day trip with kids to do several of different activities :)

Being that this was the first time for my family were were super excited to see how beautiful and spacious this place was in comparison to The Sacramento Zoo. Upsides : any kid 5 and under would literally have a blast here and run out so much energy. The rides are free and after paying to get in any parent can appreciate not having to pony up more money for the rides. And there is literally so much room to run and play that it’s almost impossible to not have fun especially with the huge 3 story playground located in the center. Downsides : there are literally less animals than the Sacramento zoo and I promise I didn’t even know that was possible and to still list the place as a “Zoo”. Out of the 13 animals located on the left , there were 7 missing or not in the exhibit . I brought my 7 and 17 year old and realized 20 min into this trip that it was going to be very short . With the lack of animals actually out in the public and the rides going from adventure to boring in a matter of seconds at the ages I had with me …..it was an hour and a half at 70.00 for a family of 4 + parking making it 80.00. I could have went to the mall with them and got them something 40.00 each and the experience on our vacation would have been slightly better because we have something to show for and would have been walking for 2 times longer . All in all : decent place for kids 5-9 solely based on the huge playground. (Not worth the money just to play in a park. ) Not a place for a first date or for anyone single or without children. There’s not enough for adults to do period. Totally not a place for a teenager unless there working there. But it’s cute and perfect for babies.

Used to come here as a kid 50 years ago and it has upgraded for the better! Love the new bridge entrance and ticket prices are great for what you get. All the animals and all the rides are included. Plenty of grass and shady spots to relax and eat a picnic lunch. The bread basket offers sandwiches, pizza burgers and drinks. They still have the old maze and crooked house. Danny the dinosaur will take you around the park too! If you like playgrounds there are plenty around the park for all ages! The huge wooden playground will keep your little animals entertained for hours! Definitely recommend for families! Thursdays, once a month they have senior walking too!

Great place for kids. All spaces feel like they are specifically designed with children's experience in mind. The zoo has only a few animals but the enclosures and pathways are designed and maintained well. The food court and the surrounding area offers a pleasant space for families to sit and enjoy their food. Overall a pleasant and memorable day with our kid.

Loved the zoo and park. It's a solid one day activity for young toddlers. My daughter enjoyed petting and feeding the goats. There are couple of rides for 2yr olds as well. I will definitely recommend this to other toddler parents.

Happy Hollow is a great place for the family. Lots of animals and open space. They have cute one of a kind kiddie rides. Large playground for the kids to get their energy out.My favorite animal is the ant eater, something you don’t see everyday:) Parking is $10. Unfortunately they have recently changed their hours and days of operation due to staffing shortages. Double check their hours before you go.

A wonderful zoo with tonnes of activities for the kids. All rides are included in the tickets, which is wonderful. The animals are well cared for.

Great zoo & park!! Our family spent the entire day there. We went on a Friday and there were barely any lines. It's moderately sized with plenty to do - and we were able to circle back and see our favorite animals again. The rides were fun, playgrounds were really cool, and the staff were all very nice. The park was very clean. Would highly recommend!!

Great place to bring the kids. Interesting animals, puppet shows, keeper talks, food court area, little rides and a nice playground! Pretty affordable for a day of fun!

The place is great for kids with the zoo and rides. Plenty of places and activities. The zoo is not fully filled with animals. Kids like the maze, which is below ground level, so adults can watch the kids running inside. The anteater is Hugh, too big for the enclosure.

Great for little kids, the whole park takes maybe 1.5 hours to walk through. Lots of small rides with short wait times. Petting zoo, puppet show and lemur exhibit are highlights. Plenty of shady areas to sit and take break. My family loves this place!

Fun experience for the family. It's small enough for kids to walk around on their own. We brought my 7 year old nephew and 9 year old niece and they had fun looking at the animals and going on the rides. Definitely check if exhibits and rides are open before you go ...when we went a lot of rides and exhibits were closed. We also went on a weekday so there were no crowds or long waits for rides.

A wonderful place to take your children, or to go on a stroll with your baby wonderful attractions , as well as a well earned walk around the zoo for rides for the kids. Park attendants are very knowledgeable where everything is at a good place to visit for the weekend or weekday !!!

Small but fun spot! The highlight is definitely the two capybaras. So cuteeeee! The zoo isn’t huge, and one area is purely for kids, but it’s well maintained. Great place for families or a quick nature break, for capybaras, and for a relaxing day and some quality time with colleagues creatures

This is a wonderful magical place for children to put their hands on everything and explore a world built for their joy! Parking cost $7 fixed rate as of the time of this writing. Parking seemed fairly safe despite several homeless camps around the parking area. There's a place inside the store strollers. And a neat water playing area. However your kid will probably get very wet so having to change of clothes is a good idea.

Incredibly fun visit! A must go to if you have young kids!!! Staff were super nice and helpful. My kid had a complete blast!

Kids liked it. About 30min wait as there is only one cashier for non-members. 1:30-4:30pm is a bit short for $18. Kids got disappointment we had to leave so early. Strollers not allowed unless kid cannot walk. Kitchen play area has way too little items for all the kids. Older ones snatched most of them. Younger ones standing in front of empty grocery shelves. Cashier calculator is not working. For $18 per child I would expect more. Most hand sanitizer station are empty and need to be refilled. Else a nice museum/playground.

Such a perfect place for little ones to explore. We took the first session on a school holiday week and the upstairs section was just us until ~10am. There are 2 calm spaces on 1st and 2nd floors which can be used for kids on the spectrum if required. Check when you enter the museum, the staff is friendly and very aware of the needs of kids on the spectrum. If kids like the water play area take a waterproof coat or at least a change of clothing. We used the public parking($7) right under the 87 ramp, it’s just 2 mins walk from there.

This place was great to take a child who’s full of wonder and energy! It’s pretty interesting and fun to check out. I want to point out that they do not allow strollers but I can’t remember if they provide them but I know the website says something to warn you, so I would read it closely. It’s a great learning experience for kids and adults as the info provided is helpful along with the history of various things we use on our daily lives. It’s a place you have to try at least once with your kids just for enrichment purposes if nothing else. It’s not Disneyland but it’s a must see staple of childhood for well rounded growing up experience. Gotta love San Jose!

So much to see and explore! We’ve been here twice. Once when my oldest was a toddler and twins were crawling. And this second time my son is older and twins are preschoolers. And with these trips I noticed that this museum is best for younger kids 7 and under, but the older kids can still find something to enjoy. The baby crawl area on the second floor is my favorite! I was able to let my babies crawl around and explore in a safe space. The outdoor backyard is a lot of fun too, my kids were excited about the garden and the strawberries that were growing in it. Each area is a ton of fun and there are so many learning opportunities to be had with your kids here. I like to sit back and let them play in each area for a while. Bring water and snacks! There is no food court probably because of COVID, but there are water bottle refill stations. I saw lots of shirtless kids because they got too wet in the water play area lol so an extra set of clothes is a good idea.

Visited this place on labor day weekend. Cost is $18 (child -adult). Plenty of parking near this museum ($7 per car). So many things to keep the kids busy. Some on-hands activities are also there. One can spend 3-4hours there. Good place for kids 👍

It's probably my favorite of all time just yet. It was so much fun to see my kid play hands-on learning. Expected to stay more than 2hrs and recommend come with extra clothes, snack and plenty of water to stay hydrated. Got ebt? Come in person.

I will say it’s a good museum for kids above 1 year. I will no recommend this museum for kids over 5 Most of the activities are for toddlers. I have 2 kids, the oldest 3 1/2 and he had a blast. And being a kids museum I thought there were going to be activities or sensory stuff for my youngest, he is 8 months, and he was literally all the time in the stroller because there are almost anything for this age. So if you don’t have a kid older than 1 don’t waste you time. The museum allows strollers if you have infants if you don’t, you have to park the stroller outside the museum. There are easy access to parking lot . The museum is no too big, you can use 2 hours and do all the activities. We loved the outdoor patio Overall is good place to do something new and different with your kids.

I took my grandson, 7. He had a great time playing with all exhibits. There's a lot of small kids and toddlers also. Bring your own food and drink.

My kids love the museum and have fun whenever we visit. Love this place! So many activities for kids, my kids love to explore and spend time here. The best part my kids enjoyed was the water area.

Was fun for the kids but definitely not a lot to do. I guess it depends on the age of the kids. We’ve been to several kids museum or kids play spots and this is not bad but not 5 stars.

Definitely recommend this place for kids as they have a great variety of different activities for kids to do. They have an outside jungle gym playground, large bubbles and water play area. Arts and crafts and many learning activities for kids all ages. But do recommend to go early since it can get crowded. But kiddos and families will have a great time. Enjoy...

Lot of fun activities, my kids had lots of fun with different science experiments, outdoor tree climbing, air maze, drawing. I am visiting Santa Clara and Google maps took a conference parking which costs $25 minimum unless you have coupon from conference organizers. Try to look for parking spots before you visit.

We took our 9 year old on a Saturday, second session. First time visiting and just paid for one visit. It was a good place to get away from the usual playground scene if the weather isn't good. I would say this museum is good for kids 9 and under. Any age over that, they will probably find themselves bored. Our 9 year old had fun and kept busy for about 2 hours. There's an ambulance and an old fire truck the kids can get in. A resident artist is there and you can create a craft. There are vending machines for snacks. An outdoor play area to take a break from being inside with lots of kids and noise. Near the airport, so there's always airplanes flying over.

Good place to take your kids. Great activities. Please make sure you arrive early as it gets super packed.

Amazing! I love it, and my inner child does too. My goddaughter and I had a great time, she's 8yo and had a blast. The museum is interactive and fun for everyone, lots of fun facts to learn and skills to develop for the young ones (and not so young ones). Colorful, diverse and wonderful 😊

Arrived before 9am an bought tickets in advance no waiting. When we left at 11 it looked backed up an because of the odd entrance it create a bottle neck of traffic. Because everyone’s trying to play with the large fire truck at the narrow entrance. The dance room on the right seemed pointless an took up space. The bottom floor is literally nothing but more of the same thing you can see on the main floor. The outside play area by far is the most entertaining. They need more bones to look at but the area was really cool. The weight drop that spins the fan. The hole is large enough for a kids hand to get stuck in when others are trying to pull. We went on a weekend an found it very over crowded. Bathrooms clean Staff wonderful No food inside as in your not supposed to be eating in there…..parents need coffeeeeeeeeeeer an food lol. Parking - Parking lot across the part or under the freeway on either side. The free way is $7 an has an attendant. The large parking lot where you cross the bridge is a bit more.

Experienced racism when we were visiting the church by a woman associated with the church named Maureen who gave us a tour in the afternoon. Horrible experience.

Cathedral Basilica is extraordinarily heavenly in the highest sense from the voices of the sermons, to the atmosphere of the religious statues, to the awesomeness of the choir singers. It happened to be a Mother's Day sermon, and my happy tears flowed as the sermons and singing continued as I thought of my mother. The usher( terminology?), Was very polite and gentle, and after the service there were people around you could ask about the history of the cathedral. Only one thing needed, More parking spaces please!.

Absolutely beautiful inside. Come see it. It's worth the time to do so. It cost nothing its free, however a small donation is appreciated by the house.

Attended bishop Cantu's ordination anniversary recently. First time coming here. The cathedral is beautiful and the artwork especially on the ceiling is a sight to see.

Great architecture. You really get the Holy vibe. You need to check exact timings. We ended up in a spanish mass. Choir is next level. They will keep you glued to your seat. Parking is something you need to plan ahead of your visit.

This church is so beautiful and most days open to just sit and enjoy the peacefulness of it all. I've been visiting since I was a little girl before the renovations. Gorgeous church and great gift shop. Usually parking in front limited time. My sister just bought and sent me a rosary for my birthday it's beautiful.

Beautiful Cathedral! My only complaint is regarding the knowledge of the tour guides. IHS, which is drawn on the ceiling, is meant as the first three letters of "Jesus" in ancient Greek. It is not I.H.S (Iesus Hominum Salvator)...

We decided to visit San Francisco for the weekend and went to the Cathedral for a quick visit. WOWWWW!!! Beautiful!!!! Such an amazing experience! I would love to attend mass during one of my visits and will ensure to plan it out better next time to ensure of that. Sadly I must say, some visitors forget ITS A CHURCH! not a coffee shop, hang out spot, etc. There were some people visiting who were SO loud it was difficult to pray and be at peace. Some people were outside waiting for some sort of celebration, wedding/15/baptism ect and since they were right outside the main entrance being LOUD, yelling, laughing n simply forgetting they were at a church, not a hang out/chit chat spot. But, it was still a beautiful experience

Majestic cathedral on the San Jose history walk tour! Very ornate and historical! The original structure was built in 1803 but was destroyed by a fire in 1875. We only got to peek in the doors as something was going on inside. Sad we couldn’t view the whole church.

Remembering God …. What a pin drop silence… 1885 to till date… amazing architecture glass painting… Statues of Jesus & Mother Marry… May God bless everyone & humanity survive for mankind to love & respect each other… Religion is a way of life only…

Got disappointed this time. No water and no koi fish this time. Inside of the park there are small water body. But this time they don’t have water. It’s dry for now. Ducks were all roaming around. I will visit this park in next one month and see if they fill water in those empty ponds. Other than this I think this park has stuffs for all ages. Good for photography. You need to pay $6 for parking.

It made me sad to see all those fish in that dirty water full of mold and garbage, they have a box for fish food and it is empty, very neglected. Each of the photos shows the current state, the trees are beautiful, the place is big and calm, for some reason they do not have water, it is a place that I was so excited to visiting and I returned sad to see those fish like that.

Was a pleasant place to visit. Unfortunately, little of the water feature was in order, but did have koi and ducks. Hopefully the larger area will be repaired and have water again. Looks nice, with lots of shade and grass.

After the flood years ago, they have cleared out the fish to a smaller pond. The pond was cleaner a year ago. I don't know why it's so dirty now. Poor fish. I wish they have restored the lake and put the koi fish back in. Other than that, I love Japanese Friendship Garden. It is beautiful and pretty "Japanese". It has many plants and trees with the landscape design that makes me feel like I'm in Japan. It's usually quiet and relaxing. You can buy food from the koi food stand and feed the fish too. Since Covid, the house inside Japanese garden hasn't opened again either. It would be even better if they open it up and have tea ceremonies so we can experience that right in San Jose. It's part of Kelley park but maybe it has a separate funding so they put more work into garden. It's very well maintained - way better than Kelley park.

In theory, it has to be overwhelmingly pretty - and it still was a nice afternoon visit - but in reality, without any water in any of the lakes and canals (except for the koi pond) it's also agonizingly sad :/

The giant pond is dry and the koi has moved to the West pond along with the ducks. Even so, the park is still nice and peaceful. Love it

Very quaint and clean, all the fishes have been relocated to a single pond so it's a little crowded but they are cute all coming for food you feed them. The others ponds are empty due to water conservation but it's still a nice shady wall in the park. Parking is $6 (according to the sign, I didn't actually check) but you can park at history park for free and come over.

I wish there were water in all ponds, now only a few of them have it. Nice park for a little walk, you can see koi fish and a beautiful bridge. Good quiet place for meditation.

Disappointing. Maybe it was because we came late July, but most of the ponds were drained, The area looked poorly maintained. If this place was better kept it would have great scenic potential.

Nice place to visit but all the ponds were dry and no fish subsequently. Additionally, one could not walk over the bridge, access was blocked by plywood gates. I hope this place does not close and only witnessed improvements that were being made. Still a nice place especially considering the neighboors

Quite Japanese Vibes! Small for strolling, can’t do a picnic here but picturesque place! Some event was going on when we visited, people dressed up in different costumes. They charge $6 for parking for entire day. No entrance fee though.

I could see that it must have been beautiful with a koi pond but since the water was drained it does not look as beautiful. However, all the landscape was well maintained and the trees were lush and beautiful. There's a tea house in the park but it was closed too. I am sure if these facilities were open the park would have been beautiful but now it seems like a ghost of a glorified past. The park is a good size with reasonable incline if people would like to go for a run or bring their kids to explore.

I was saddened by my recent visit. This place used to be SO beautiful. The pristine landscaping has been replaced with weedy, overgrown, virtually untended green spots. The sparkling Koi ponds and trickling brooks have obviously been empty and dry for quite some time. So very sad...

1st time visitor. The biggest pond was drained - looked like it was being cleaned. But I'm not sure. The garden is beautiful ESPECIALLY THE MAGNIFICENT Koi. Be sure to bring a quarter to get Koi food 😀. Garden needs some DONATIONS and some TLC and it will be every more beautiful. Consider giving a little so we can keep this treasure.

It was just a small but friendly garden.The parking charges is not really worth it when it comes to the very small garden.Overall one time go but you will get ample space to sit and few good points to click good pictures.The fish in the pond was really cute and another reason to go once.

Cute area to walk around. The parking was $6 in the closest lot however if you go past the garden you can park for free in the park lot. The main pool was dried up and bridge was blocked off. (I think they are still doing renovations). But there is a small area of water that does have fish and you can even feed them for a quarter! Several benches to sit down, some people brought food/snacks.

Sadly not fully maintained, but for the price (free entrance, $6 car parking) still a lovely, cool, green, quiet local space in the city, The grass & foliage are clearly still taken care of. But there was no water in the ponds when we visited; & the red moon bridge is obviously neglected, barricaded & inaccessible. The area is quite large, with elevation changes & little hills, benches throughout. Not nearly as iconic as more famous Japanese gardens in the Bay Area, but there were several dozen prom-goers in all their shimmering finery, taking photos of each other when we visited, so clearly still locally appreciated.

Modern abstract art museum. don’t know ANYTHING about ART!! I really don’t.. But I do love looking at interesting pictures. On the small side for a city museum but a pleasant space and helpful staff. Nice exhibits with no barriers so being up close and interacting was easy. Great spot in downtown San Jose to take in art. Some of the art installations are thought provoking. Some art look deceptively simple, but the amount of work that went into making it so simple seems so effortless.

Well to be fair when we went there 3 exhibitions were close and i have no idea how big or small they were! I will update this if we end up going again and i see an actual difference! If you do the math u probably have more art at home than what was at display here, hell go to TJMax instead! The building itself is very beautiful so are the views of surrounding buildings from it! I give it 2 starts just for those views and that of the admissions people’s super nice and welcoming attitude! Otherwise man we were disappointed! The place was super clean and well maintained and there were not that many people there too on a Sunday! I’d only recommend going there during like a special exhibition u know about! Cleanness: very clean People: nice admissions guy, security folks not so much Cost: 10$ adults, students get in free. With id Value: well.. we were not happy! Parking: plenty parking lots around the area I’d imagine a little tricky in weekdays!

For major museums this is quite small. Also I enjoyed the first exhibit that we walked into which had a lot of bright and vibrant art but after that I found much of it pretty forgettable. Also fairly challenging to park there as it's downtown San Jose and there are a variety of parking places however some of them are kind of pricey. Ended up parking on a meter and stayed for less than 3 hours. Shout out to the staff as my wife left a phone there and was able to retrieve it from the nice people there. Overall an enjoyable experience.

Excellent collection with strong representation of BIPOC women & LGBTQ artists. Easy validated parking at Market and San Pedro Square garage.

Enjoyed what was available when I visited. Part of the museum was closed for a new exhibition, but they allow you to come back for free within a year. Will go back next time I'm in town.

My girlfriend and I had a really good time! It’s a bit of a small museum, but what is displayed is very good. We love the shopping exhibit and the candy store exhibit. I realize in the future people are going to read this and wonder what the hell I’m talking about but for now in January 2024 it’s a cool exhibit. Lots of cool stuff.

Pleasantly surprised by this place! I typically don’t enjoy contemporary art but their exhibits had a good balance of paintings and sculptural pieces. Not a huge establishment but you can easily spend an hour in there Friendly staff and curator who proactively share with patrons Very accessible by public transit if you don’t want to park dt.

Located in downtown and is close to several restaurants and bars so it is very convenient to stop and take a look in the museum. They still have a mask requirement here, so have one ready. The art has late 80's to late 90's versions of modern art mixed with derelict art. Best time to go is the first Friday of each month as admission is free after 6pm.

For what I was expecting, I was blown away, I have been to world class museums all over the world. I didn't expect much coming to here, but it was a fantastic collection for being a small museum. Definitely returning as new exhibits come in!

I really enjoyed my visit. My wife and I walked around the museum. The low point was downstairs, thought the learning center could use more to get it more engagement. The high points were everything else. For a Friday afternoon, it was poppin'. The gift store was nice and reasonably priced. Upstairs had nice pieces that hit close to home.

This is a great museum right in the heart of downtown San Jose. It's not huge. There were installations using various forms of media. A nice museum to pop in while you're in the downtown area. Unfortunately when I visited one of the three exhibition rooms was being set up for the next installation. If you are paying full price for entry, I would maybe check in advance to see how much you will be able to see.

Love the museum.....make sure to check if there are exhibits that are closed.....half the museum was closed this visit but they were giving free tickets to come back when everything was reopened in mid June ....you can also get free tickets through the SJPL website if you're a cardholder.

We had a great time here. It was Chinese New Year's weekend and was too much crowded. Also, there was a dragon dance show, which had a huge line. There is a small cafe inside. Prices are reasonable for all food items (not a lot of options available). It's a good place to bring young children and can spend approximately 2-3 hours here. Weekend entry is free to this museum. Lots of art collections here, attached pics. I will recommend visiting if you are nearby.

Total waste of taxpayers dollars. It’s more like a storage of ugly trash that no one would call “art” made by unknown self proclaimed “artists”.

Beautiful trail, a lot of different length options so you can do a really long hike, or take a shorter loop depending on how much time you have. Parking wasn't too crowded and it was free. Not much shade so not sure that i would recommend it in the summer, but the temperature was perfect in the winter

It was a beautiful morning for hiking. We met people on the trail but it was not crowded. We took the counter clockwise loop, which gets steep downhill. Not too difficult but knees get a good workout. Otherwise the is clean and wide. There is plenty of parking in the lot. The views from the top are beautiful.

I came here after a week of rain, and the grounds and trail were still in very good shape. I came on a Sunday afternoon and encountered nobody on the trail! It was nice and private. The trail itself is great for getting in shape! The incline has a very steep grade. My Portuguese Water Dog Mack and I had an excellent workout! This trail is also dog-friendly. The views are amazing! The hike was very serene and peaceful. On the day we came, there was a a massive double 🌈 rainbow! It was absolutely amazing!!!

Parts of this park are really nice. And the signs explaining all the history are great. Some parts of this park are just hell. Super steep exposed hot fire roads. Not a fun part of our trail run. The single track trails in the shade were really fun though, and I love open space so easily accessible from the city!

I really enjoy this park for walking around at some of the older equipment it was very nice hike though some of the signs could You're some restoration and the machinery needs some maintenances on the interactive parts

A beautiful hiking spot. There are quite a few trails to choose from depending on the distance and elevation you wish to go for. These are all open trails (hardly any shade), so I highly suggest to carry a bottle of water and a hat. The best time would be to start early in the morning so you can avoid the heat if you plan to hike in summer.

For starters bring lots of water! Enough that even bobby Bushea would approve. The views are great and the overall hike was fantastic. The route my friends and I took was a gradual climb that wasn't too intense. If you are going to hit any trails I highly recommend the All trails app. Super helpful with navigating the proper trail (mainly the length of trail you want to do).

Spacious county park with a variety of hiking trails leading to historical sites, ruins of old mining communities and beautiful vistas. The English Camp area is a personal favorite to hike to within the park.

We were looking for wildflowers and found 1 of the trail here has beautiful wildflowers view so came straight here. This is very beautiful place (even though we didn't get to see wildflowers, I think we missed the correct trail). There are a few trails here in the woods (easy to moderate) but all are so beautiful and trees everywhere. We were here for an hour or two. We will definitely visit again. The parking lot is huge and free parking and entry.

I had an amazing time at Almaden Quicksilver County Park during my afternoon hike. We started from the Webb Canyon Trailhead. The trail offered a perfect blend of medium to challenging levels, making it a great adventure. The scenic views along the way were simply stunning, and I was fortunate to spot a graceful deer on our journey back. If you are looking for workout and hike, this is definitely your park!

This is an amazing county park in back of a neighborhood! Lots of parking and many trails to choose from. Lots of up hill but trails are well marked and in good condition. Good variety of vegetation and picnic tables along the route. Some sunny areas as well as shaded areas so bring sunscreen and lots of water.

In A Nutshell: -Almaden Quicksilver County Park is a nice gem, deep in the foothills of Silicon Valley. -This is Pat Tillman country too. -If you want a wide variety of paths to choose from, this place will fulfill your needs. -Not only do you get options, but you also get a varied scenery of rolling hills & foliage. -There are couple trees here where miners were hung. Overall, be wary of mountain lions as they do roam around since it's their home, not ours.

Huge park that has tons of trails. Currently the bathrooms are closed but they do have portable restrooms available. Nice to have access to such a big park so close to home. Dogs ok on leash, our little guys did great! Please pick it after your dogs, bags are even provided at the parking lot.

A Hot spot in Downtown Area that you can always find what you’re looking for! Everything from varieties of food vendors, Pizzas, Asian Fusion, Latin, Mexican, Italian Deli and Sandwiches, Middle Eastern, Vegetarian Vietnamese, Beers, Brewery Californian, Wine bars, Sushi, Japaneses, Koreans fusion, Burgers, Hot dogs, and so much more!!! There are Plenty of Patio Dining, live musics, Bands, Books, Films, Comedy, History, Sports, games, and many Entertainment. It’s all happening here at this San Pedro Square Market!!! With So much to see and so many things to discover, I am definitely planning on coming back here!!!

In town visiting, you get a nice mixture of foods and drinks for everyone. It was great this weekend bc a lot of folks were here to watch the 2nd match of the USMNT World Cup match vs Canada and it was great. You can get decent crapes, variety of beer, the Pizza was really good, and Boba tea here has very unique varieties. Overall very happy to check this place out, I definitely recommend checking this spot out.

This place is great! I came for lunch while visiting the area with family. we ordered a few things to try different foods and I really enjoyed the seafood spot. They had a lot of spaces indoor and outdoor to sit and enjoy your meal. For those who like sports, they were playing the football games!

Great night scene, live music and several restaurants and bars, really impressed with this place ! Such an exiting zone with indoors and outdoors sitting , beers and food that can be enjoyed in beautifully decorated areas , even the lights are pretty and Street art males the environment blend with the city.

A great concept and pleasant last-minute stopover on a late summer Saturday afternoon. I've been here many times because my work is close, and this place never fails to delight. Today we tried the crepe place. My wife and I shared one savory and one sweet crepe. They were more than enough for the both of us. We sat outside in the common area and listened to a tight blues band with a talented vocalist. A lovely adventure!

This bar is in its own spacious area towards the front of the San Pedro square market. The bar has many cocktail options, I personally recommend the Mariposa. There is plenty of seating with tables and being part of the San Pedro market square, there is also a huge variety of eating options right there. They have live music on some nights which you can enjoy while sipping a nice cocktail or even a coffee from the coffee shop in the same space.

Always love coming here. Live music. Lots of food options. Good beer. Only thing is beer lines are usually really long cause it takes so long. I highly recommend more bartenders and checkout stations to catch up with the demand.

We really liked San Pedro Square Market, there are tons of food options and nice seating area outside, I would recommend getting early on the weekends if you’re planning on finding a table as it gets CROWDED, we went with tacos and had a couple of local brews from the bar but seems you can’t go wrong with the food you choose, everything looked tasty. Would recommend for a nice Saturday/Sunday afternoon. Ohh and they play live music if you’re interested

The last time I visited this area was over 9-11 years ago. A lot has changed but I think in a good way. They have built a huge parking lot and a lot more restaurants. My buddy from 12 years ago when I started the my chapter in the military had brought me back here and I was in shock. I remember sitting down at only benches and food trucks were everywhere. I am glad the a lot has changed but I can’t tell only between 9-11 years has passed and some the bars I did attend were starting sticking to feel sticky and muggy. I would definitely come back to see what the life is like on a Friday or weekend. The inside of the new building gave me a vibe of place in Food Hall at Bottling Department in San Antonio, Texas. Both cool chills places to grab a beer and hang out with friends and some shopping to do.

Went here on a Friday night. There is live music with outdoor seating most of the times but I think it ends at 10pm. The place is open till midnight though. Plenty of good food choices inside the market. Try out the vegan momo at urban momo. Parking choices are either at parksj or a paid parking juror parking across the street at 7$ cash only for 3 hours

I went with my wife and friends to have lunch before a 49ers game. I had the Hella Shroomin Burger from Hella Good Restaurant. The sauce in this burger was fire. I let my wife taste it and her eyes said it all.

Love this place. Although it is in San Jose downtown which is a rough area but San Pedro Square stands out. They have multiple food options, various cuisines from different countries, coffee shop, bars, a small shop etc. Everything is self service. Tons of seating options both indoor and outdoor. Also they have quite a few security guards near outdoor seating area for your peace of mind. I always love the vibe of this place. Weekends are buzzing here with occasional live music and bands. There’s a parking garage right next to it. Great to come here either with friends or with family. It caters to everyone.

This is just an amazing place to be... Any time any day... I got to catch the superbowl game last weekend and it was a lot of fun going there with friends... There are tonnes of food and drink options and there's no way you could go out of here not having had fun...

I enjoyed Super Bowl here, and the experience is beyond explanation. The crowd was super nice, and the whole place had a cheerful vibe!

Lots of good food options in the market. The outside open area is great to hangout with friends and family. It is very lively out there specially over the weekends!! parking might be difficult to find. There are lot of good bars and restaurants outside of the market. Bars are open till late thats great.

Love the food here! But my review is for the security here. We were informed and ESCORTED out for bringing outside food. By having a pizza box from outside with a mere two slices, were enough to tip them off to be personally escorted out within the center of San Pedro Square. While I feel the security’s embarrassment having to do it. I suggested to my friend and I to eat right on the gate of the public sidewalk to riot while we angry eat. All while their security guard watch us from a distance eating pizza. Harmlessly. I was nice, and inquired with the guard to which he confirmed that the issue was the box, and that by bringing outside food was a problem for other people to find a seat to eat. When clearly at the time. Many tables were open. Including outdoor. While there is no community here supporting other businesses nearby rather than their own. I still went back in to one of my favorite bars in San Pedro to purchase a beer to which I angry chugged. Work the system!!!

Nice community/family environment with lots of options for everyone. It’s like an indoor food court in downtown San Jose. Issues are that it’s only online card payments and they expect a tip even if no one actually talks to or serves you. I’m cool to tip well, but I expect a person to be there to provide the service you’re topping for.

Great venue, I really wasn’t sure about getting balcony tickets. But I bought tickets for Dancing with the Stars at the last minute the day of the show and was pleasantly surprised the view on the balcony is incredible. It is stocked seating, so you really don’t worry too much about who’s sitting in front of you. Every spot seemed to be a good view in my opinion from what I could tell. I would definitely buy tickets for the show here again. We were in row eight for reference towards the middle as you can tell.

No matter the event, I love coming here. While it’s an old building, the design and layout is still very cool. Today we enjoyed Chicago very much, and it’s a blessing SJ has such a big place for musicals n dance.

It's a great venue for a show. I could see the act perfectly: facial gestures, body language & expressions. Felt the audience were a little crammed together which I didn't like. Heard beforehand that the sound or sound system was bad. It seemed fine to me. I could hear everything perfectly.

This is an amazing historical place. Easy access to all the seats. Seats were great and don't hurt your back. Nice space so your not elbowing people. The staff are very friendly and willing to help you get to your seat or explain anything you need. Drinks and snacks are good here and the security here was on point. Saw Nikki glaser here. She amazing and her opening acts killed it. Check this place out

The San Jose Center for the Performing Arts is a venue in downtown San Jose, hosting various performing arts events such as concerts, theater productions, and dance performances. We went for Bill Bur concert, concert was hilarious and fun. Center itself is little old, seats can use upgrade. They have bars, and one can take drink in plastic cup to the concert. Depending on seats purchased, view is very decent. Parking is paid street parking and bunch of parking lots nearby.

Great location, nice building and amenities. The seats however are reminiscent of Century 16 back in the early 2000s. To those that don't know, that means they're terrible! 😆

My family and I saw Miss Saigon in 2019 and ended 2022 watching The Nutcracker, a family favorite holiday show. I am so glad that San Jose has this landmark facility that provides so many musical and entertainment events throughout the years. The staff were so helpful and informative. The facility is (well) equipped to support its customers and loyal patrons whether hosting broadway musicals, business conventions, concerts and other events. I was not disappointed. Well done. A 10/10

Their cookie was huge, warm & delicious! I wish they have more food options. The corner seats 75 & 77 were hard to see the stage a bit. Hope to see Dancing with the Stars here again soon!

We saw Mughaleazam in here The theatre is good. The staff is excellent. The show had an intermission. The staff made sure there was no crowd in the restrooms and guided us to our seats etc. Very friendly staff.

I was here with my friends on mother's day. It was the last show and I really enjoyed the riverdance Broadway show. The theater is really huge, well seated, a great auditorium where every seat is a great seat. The staff is very courteous and helpful. I really enjoyed this and previous shows. It's fun to come to this place.
