Our tour guide Kirk was extremely knowledgeable and so personable. He answered all of our questions and was very attentive. We never felt rushed and it was clear that Kirk loves his job! The capitol tour is a must see for all visitors to Lincoln. So much fantastic architecture and history packed into a gorgeous building. If you are in Lincoln, don't miss it!

Impressive architecture and artwork, mosaics, murals and tile work. Very interesting historically and culturally! Take the elevator to the top flor and you'll see an impressive view of the city and the Capitol's surrounding area.

Nebraska State Capitol building is very interesting from an architectural point of view. Lots of history and the artwork tells the story of Nebraska from pre-historic days to now. Our guide was very knowledgeable and informative. Nice afternoon in Lincoln, NE. Definitely worth a stop and a couple of hours of your time.

State Capitol is a landmark building in Lincoln... We couldn't go inside to appreciate the architecture but we could get a sense of the grandeur by seeing it from outside... Beautiful architecture and well manicured lawns... Visited the Natural History museum which was a very pleasant surprise and this building too was worth visiting...

A must see for every Lincoln resident or passerby. We enjoyed the guided tour and learned a lot from it. The city view from the top is breathtaking.

Such an amazing building. For us another state capitol and again some New experiences we could collect. Parking in this area is kind of taff, wo we didt hat that amount of Time, but an hour is good to go

They don't honor their posted hours. We got there admittedly right before 5:00, but when we walked in the doors at 4:54, I expected to at least have a quick look around the main floor. As soon as we got in the door, however, a security guard immediately came over, said the Capitol was closed and told us we had to leave. When I said I just wanted to take a quick look since it wasn't 5:00 yet, she held out her arms like she needed to block me from trying to get past and said "No, I'm going to have to ask you to leave now." At this point, she looked ready to remove me by force, so we left. I've never disobeyed posted signs in a Capitol, and I consider myself a strict rule follower, so being treated like a criminal for wanting to stay somewhere until the posted closing time seems a bit ridiculous. On top of this bad experience, the grounds were basically nonexistent. It was just a big lawn area, no memorials or anything like that. I can't speak to the interior other than the hall we entered at, but it seemed very dungeon-like, with no artwork or historical items or anything like that. These could have been in a different area, though. I would not recommend stopping here. I would recommend some customer service training for their staff.

We enjoyed the guided tour and learned about so many things. We went to the up top and the views are fascinating. But not able to fine any gift shop. Take a tour if you have some time during your visit to NE. You can park your car for free for two hours at the front door side and don’t miss the Lincoln statue.

The architecture is astounding. The intricate details, wood inlay, mosaics, art, and brass are beautiful. So much thought and care went into this building! The tour guide (Alison) was so knowledgeable! Don’t miss it when you visit, and check out the library too!

Absolutely must see in Lincoln. The second and the fourteenth floors have a lot of art work in them. Some of the art works have themes related to appreciation of workers. You’d see this kind of theme in communist and socialist artists works too, but here you get in it Nebraska State Capitol Building.

I would say this is one of the more unique state capitols we have visited. The view from the 14th floor was expansive. Since the capitol was built significantly later than many other midwest capitol buildings, you get a fascinating mix of art styles. The architecture and planning crew's background probably has to do with this as well (you will find out if you take the tour). It is many fewer stairs than other capitols as well, which can be a plus for some.

It was a random trip. We traveled to Lincoln to buy a car. Walked the streets that are lined in a perfect grid. While the tall building is a marvel, the treasure lies inside, dim light, spectacular tall beams, peerless marble work, wall murals, prefect chandeliers, the state house chambers, it has an imposing peaceful and quiet gravitas. The interplay of architecture, light and muted displays create a harmonious experience. The building is the museum. A must see.

My family and I stopped by during our road trip to Lincoln during summer 2023. The garden was immaculate. We enjoyed our leisurely visit and appreciated the wide variety of flowering plants along with the animals living in the park. You wouldn't even know you were right in the middle of the city if you weren't familiar with the area. This is a hidden treasure for Lincoln and the state of Nebraska - Make sure you visit!

Sunken Gardens in Lincoln Nebraska is not as big as the Sunken Gardens in Canada but very pretty 🌷🌹💐🌸 The Sunken Garden is free to visit, parking was easy to find. The garden is very peaceful with lots of beautiful flowers, fountains and ponds with koi fish 🐠 🐟

They impress me every year. They plant a wide variety of plants and flowers to create a gorgeous and serene spot in the heart of Lincoln. If you're looking for one of the most beautiful places in town for a small wedding, this is it! I had mine there, and the photos turned out even better than I hoped.

The hubs loves visiting the Sunken Gardens when in Lincoln. It's designed for one to enjoy nature and get lost in the moment. The pavilion with the intricate iron work is mesmerizing. The phrase inside the pavilion will catch your attention as well. This simply is a reminder to always look up.

I stopped in Lincoln for an overnight stay and got to visit this place. What a beautiful and lush garden! Everything was in full bloom, lots of birds and butterflies around, gold fish in the ponds, etc. I met some very nice local visitors. Free parking is available on the NW side of the garden.

Small, beautiful garden. It's a wonderful way to kill time, as it is open for far longer than other nerby attractions. We visited during the fall (so unfortunately there were no flowers to see) but it was still a gorgeous place and I would recommend a quick visit regardless of season.

Such a beautiful place to visit with family. Kids love watching the koi fish swim. If you have a green thumb/plant parent it's a neat place to see all the beautiful flowers and plants. There was an area closed off for a wedding the day we visited, but we got to see a beautiful bride and groom.

This is such a beautiful sanctuary! So many flowers and plants tolook at. I love the koi ponds and all the little corners with cute benches. This is the perfect place to take senior photos, engagement, etc. It is extremely well-maintained with friendly staff. The place was so calming and peaceful, I feel like I could have stayed there all day. Do not forget to sign the guest book near the big dome, under the big metal "brick directory" thing. Also, you do not have to park in the parking lot. You can park on the street as well, there are entrances all around.

Absolutely gorgeous!! There are so many flower beds. Completely free, there are donation boxes around the park. The whole thing is taken care of by volunteers. There are sculptures and ponds with koi fish. It was one of my favorite places to visit. If you like flowers this is one place to definitely check out. Its so peaceful and everyone there is smiling because of the beauty of it all. I wish I lived closer I would be here everyday.

Beautiful and peaceful gardens right in the city. Lots of beautiful trees and flowers as well as a couple of water Lily ponds with koi fish (fun for kids of all ages), and a waterfall. Pathways are easy to walk, wheelchair accessible. Volunteers were busy working diligently while visitors enjoyed the serene atmosphere. What a colorful getaway from the city for visitors and locals alike.

A short walk on a brick path, surrounded by lovely flowers, greenery, and a couple of water features. Well worth a stop. You can fairly easily maneuver a wheelchair or stroller through it.

These gardens are so gorgeous. There's a good parking lot, and street parking if you're big enough. The sidewalks are great, and they have bathrooms. The flowers are absolutely gorgeous.

If you are in Lincoln, don’t miss to visit here. Wonderful garden with lots of colors. Flowers are like the lights everywhere. We went on a summer day and it was amazing to be there. Very colorful garden . Took a great photo opportunity. They also have restrooms . Few parking place at the entrance. No need to buy any tickets. Watched some colorful fish in the middle is the garden . There is a small pool too.

Absolutely gorgeous gardens. Rated one of the top 300 in the US. It's a small garden but it is beautiful. Nice place to come read a book or just sit and relax.!

Huge football fan and this place was pretty cool to see. You have easy access to view the field/stadium from a small section via gate 23a. Sign in and you can see the national title trophies, heisman trophies, and other awards. I enjoyed my visit.

I am not a Huskers watcher, so when we visited the stadium for a school field trip, I didn't expect it to be too interesting for me. But this is more than a stadium. It's a beautiful building with a rich history and they do a wonderful job honoring it. I was impressed and enjoyed the tour far more than I anticipated! And the kids, including those who don't follow sports, loved it. So even if you don't watch college sports, but do enjoy history, it is worth the visit.

Everything about the stadium for Volleyball Day in Nebraska was great! My only (tiny) issue was the gates were not clearly marked when arriving from the north, nor was my gate # on my ticket. We came in near gate 14 and apparently needed to go to the east stadium. When I asked where to go, she consulted a map and said it was the completely other side (it wasn't). My friend's ticket said gate 20 though so we headed there (not too far away) and they let us in. I would chalk it up to there were most likely a lot of volunteers working as ushers. I would recommend knowing ahead of time which gate you will want to enter from. Other than that one tiny hiccup, it was a fabulous experience!

Son purchased tickets to Michigan game as a late bday gift. Has been a few years since I've been to game and his first game there ever. Great experience. Prices for food and drinks maybe high but you get a great time

Spring game 2022. My wife's 1st time in Memorial Stadium. She's from Florida & a true Gator fan but has no problem supporting our Huskers....GO BIG RED!!!

Great stadium and piece of history for Nebraska. Been to a few football games that have all been great with the best fans in college football. Recently went to the volleyball game for volleyball day in Nebraska. The crowd was awesome as well as the setup.

It was a fun place to see a game. We had accessible seating for wheelchairs, behind an end zone fence. As my friend said "These are the best terrible seats I've ever had!" We were close enough to see a couple of touchdowns mere feet from us, and we could hear the sounds of the helmets clashing. However, being at field level, it was often difficult to tell exactly what was happening. I'm not complaining- we were there and it was very close to accessible bathrooms.

It's crowded, it's loud and it's the best place to be on game day!!! I've been to many game both spring and regular season games and have always had a great time. Fans of all teams are welcome and Husker fans are always there with the high five!

I have always wanted to visit the University of Nebraska Memorial Stadium and it was better than expected. The history and energy in this place was amazing. Nebraska fans are passionate and were kind to us Sooner fans. If you are a college football fan, this is a must visit place you need on your list.

Seats are very small and tight, concourse areas are dumpy. Restrooms are not nice. It’s what you’d expect for an old stadium. Atmosphere, however, was not as amazing as expected, could be because of a Nebraska loss. Still fun to visit and get the win!

The tour was very cool. The guide, Kent, was very knowledgeable and also super great with the 4th graders. He highlighted everything they would like but kept it informational too.

I was able to move around the stadium to visit friends. Even had a volunteer Boy Scout help me to know where to go. It's always a fun time in this stadium! They are very well organized, you can get tasty food, and the monitors can be seen from any seat. The only issue I had this time was there were several people vaping, which is super annoying, not to mention unhealthy.

I have been here before as a student, but never as a fan. The game was fun, the atmosphere is exciting. The staff working was incredible. Bathrooms were mostly clean. Concessions were expensive as expected, but were on par with similar venues. I had a great time.

Always an energetic time and fun with tailgating. The Husker nation is fun and friendly and we sell out every game! The stadium is great and they have announced upgrades coming to make it even better!

Amazing atmosphere and electric energy when 92k fans fill the stadium. Fair warning, seats are benches and don't have backrests. It's also tight seating so be ready to sit on top of your neighbors.

This museum is packed wall to wall with anything and everything geared towards auto enthusiasts! The collection is quite impressive as to how they were able to fit all the vehicles, parts, and displays in the building. Employees were extremely knowledgeable providing explanations for items inside, offering guided tours, etc. If there’s not enough in the museum for you, they’re currently expanding the building to include a plethora of new exhibits/displays!

3 floors of some of the most significant racing history ever! The $15 admission was well worth it. I could have spent days here if I had the chance. Definitely check this museum out. If you have time, you won't be disappointed, and if you're into goofy roadside attractions, the giant paper airplane is only a few miles down the road

Definitely a must see museum if you're a gearhead. It's the kind of place you could go to repeatedly and see something new every time. The sheer volume of items on display is incredible.

150,000 sq ft, 3 stories and opening another 90,000 sq ft in the summer 2023. The best experience is your own, the pictures don't do justice! Winter hours through the end of April. May 1st start summer hours, check out the website for times & plan for a couples of hours, wear good walking shoes! ENJOY!

I was wanting to do a day trip to Lincoln and saw information about this museum online. If you are a fan of racing, a unique car lover, fascinated by motors, or love the old pedal cars and bicycles, well, this is a must see adventure! I read a post where someone said Smithsonian quality exhibits. I completely agree! The museum is 3 floors of incredible displays. If you like to read the display materials, you might need the four hours the museum is open. There are a lot of volunteers there to explain the vehicles and answer any questions. Nice friendly people were on every floor. I plan on going back when their expansion exhibit is open. I saw some great muscle cars hiding in the back.

Unbelievable! I'm so happy that I made the effort to visit this museum. I had no clue it was here when originally planning out our road trip. If I ever come through this way again, I would definitely stop by again. I'm recommending to all my friends!

If there is such a thing as a “hidden gem”, the Museum of American Speed in Lincoln is it! I could not believe how many race cars they had - including Indy cars, Le Mans and pretty much everything in between. They have both race and non-race cars going all the way back to the 1920’s and even a few motorcycles including an awesome Indian from the 1910’s. Hundreds of engines on display, hundreds of toy cars (which I did not expect and nevertheless amazing!), and even a guitar collection! It’s just unbelievable. Anyone that loves racing should put this museum on their list. Even if you are far from Nebraska, it is worth the visit. At one point I just had to stop taking pictures of every cool car I saw because I would end up with a few hundred pictures. Five stars is not enough. Wow!

Wow, definitely something for everyone here from the beginning of automotive history. Tons of incredible race cars from almost every type of motorsports. Lots of very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff eager to visit with you.

This was a real gem of a place to visit. What an exceptionally great place to visit. It's very well done. If you're into motorsports or just motors and such, this is the pace for you. This is not so much a typical car museum where you see old cars restored or in mostly their original condition. It's more about motorsports, engines, and pretty much everything else on wheels. There's art, parts, toys, lunch boxes, and of course, cars and trucks. There are quite a few race cars from a lot of folks most fans will recognize. Probably some that you don't. There are customs and originals. Just everything you can think of pertaining to cars and motorsports (with in reason). I had a great time walking around the three floors. Each floor is huge. Even the wife had a pretty good time because it wasn't just the same thing. I took some pictures of things to give folks some ideas. But I can't stress how nice this museum is. It's one of those must do places if you're into motors and in the area.

So much to see. Definitely a multi-day trip. You cannot read all the information in a single day. It was so informative and the collection of vehicles, engines, memorabilia, pedal cars, and even artwork was spectacular

Incredible collection of automobile racing history and collectibles. We participated in the guided tour, it was 3 hours long but well worth it. Mike, our tour guide, was personable, engaging and passionate about automotive history. We will visit again next time we are in the area. Thank you Speedway Motors for being the caretaker and sharing your collection with the public.

Incredible! I’ve never in my life seen a collection like this before. It is simply huge and amazing! There are more cars, engines, and related speedway items than imaginable. I particularly enjoyed the section dedicated to land speed records on the salt flats in Utah. Can you believe that a vehicle topped out at 650 mph on land? It’s hard to believe! The museum is spotless and well run. Many, many rooms to visit throughout the building. The restrooms are perfectly clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. This is truly a one of a kind place in the world. I would highly recommend a visit!

Super cool! Not all that into cars or engines and I still enjoyed it. Well maintained, super clean, display descriptions were short, easy to read and well written. Staff was so nice - let you do your own thing at your own pace but accessible if you had questions. 12/10 will definitely go again!

One of the finest auto museum in the country. Be sure to take a guided tour. If you do, you will get so much more out of the collection. Hats off to Bob Shaw for a great tour. There are several connections to the St Joseph area in the museum. If you love automotive history take a trip to Lincoln and spend a couple of hours, you won't regret it.

We had the absolute best guide! We had limited time so did not see everything, but our guide made sure we saw the high points. Highly recommend a visit here.

Fantastically well put together collection of classic and vintage motorsport vehicles and engines. It's more of a collection than a coherent display or walk-through experience, but the museum is still expanding as of me writing this. Even still, the museum as it is already is massive and has a lot of displays, and is educational just in the variety alone. Almost all cars and engines have their own placard that briefly explains them. Best to make sure you have a couple of hours to spend here if you do come. Entry price is $15 for adults, which I would say is good value.

Amazing place! 3 stories of cars, motors, bicycles, race memorabilia, etc. We spent 2 hours there, but you can easily spend 3 or 4. If we had time, we would definitely return to check out everything

What a fun experience! The giraffe exhibit is amazing! So fun to watch and feed them! With their long tongues sticking out! Also the play area with the monkeys...so fun! We could have stayed in there for hours!! They have really done a great job revamping! Love it!

Great zoo, perfect for my 8 year old. She loved every minute of it. All the animals were adorable and their play areas were perfect .

It's a cute and fun zoo. Went by myself, adults & children can go. My 1st time ever. Staff is awesome, there's a enclosure you can actually go into, the animals look & seem healthy. A beautiful faculty, maintained, growing, and good natured. There's also a garden on the otherside on the lot. Didn't go over to it. Well soon.

Lincoln Children's Zoo is definitely a great place to go with the little ones. Very up close encounters with many of the animals. Giraffe feeding is really cool. The layout of the zoo is beautiful and there are plenty of places for the kids to play. An indoor and outdoor playground We went in December and there were still plenty of animals out. However it was about 45 degrees. Overall Id recommend coming here with the kids and family

Loved the bird and penguin exhibits. Recently went to "Brew at the Zoo". This 21 and over event was very fun. Don't forget to get your tickets online before the event. Beer offered is from many different local breweries.

I have no children, but a friend of mine drug me to the Christmas light show at the Zoo. It was AMAZING! I would recommend buying the train passes cause you can NOT buy them there. Also, the boys did not want to go, but I thought it would have been romantic walking hand in hand with a cup of cocoa (which they sell and you can add booze) with him. I also didn't think it was at all that expensive.

A great zoo in the heart of Lincoln! Worth the membership. Great interactive experiences, including pony rides and feeding the giraffes and goats. They have wheelchairs and wagons for rent, but not traditional strollers. As of early April 2022, the birds (flamingos, penguins, etc.) are off display as a precaution for avian flu. Our favorite animals there include the red pandas and the gibbons!

A hidden gem in Nebraska. It was a wonderful experience. The keepers were very knowledgeable. The animals very engaging. We loved the giraffe feeding, penguin feeding, butterfly house, and the overall feel. If I lived in town we would definitely have a membership for visiting regularly. It is a smaller feel than Henry Doorley zoo in Omaha, but it was very enjoyable in its own right. The anteaters and their mud shower was my personal favorite!

One of the coolest zoos I have been to! Such friendly caretakers and the animals seem happy. Cute little gift shop.

Small enough to walk around with small kids, good amount of bathrooms, food stall not opened on weekdays. There are opportunities for kids to get up close with some animals, pony rides, feeding giraffes and goats, there was also a bunny and hedgehog we got to pet. There is a train to ride, and a splash pad area and a few playgrounds you can spend all day there if you want with pleanty to do for the kiddos. Bring a waterbottle there are a few filling stations. Fun for a reasonable price!

Price is a little high in my opinion, but I know it's expensive to operate a zoo. We purchased the pass that allows us to feed the animals and ride the train, but we were only able to feed giraffe's due to no employees being around. Overall we had a really good time and would come back. The baby leopards were awesome and as turtles and tortoises are my favorite, I was happy seeing so many to look at.

Spectacular show for a great.price. the cocoa was great and we went around twice because the light shows were moving. We noticed different things each time we went through! Highly recommend!

Zoo Lights was a lot of fun. Great for a date night or just to take the family. We had a wonderful time with hot coco and roasting s'mores. We spent about an hour having a blast and enjoying the light displays. The train ride is also fun and a nice way to see the lights.

The children's zoo was a blast we took our grandkids and fed the giraffe and road the train. Worth every penny.

Zoo Lights was great! The train ride was nice. The hot coco was hot and delicious. We spent about an hour walking through. Very beautiful and in some spots, very romantic. They even have little fire pits set up to roast s'mores. They sell little packets to you get everything you need to enjoy a s'mores. Great fun for the entire family or a date night.

What an amazing experience. My girls got to feed the giraffes, which was cool af. 😎 There was a goat that only had one horn, so we kept calling him a unicorn. He was adorable. The fee to get in was not at all expensive in our experience. We've been to many zoos, and this is the first zoo where u can actually feed the animals. We loved it! 😍

The price for a child and an adult is almost $30! This place is pack with kids and parents running around. I saw a woman sneezing close by who did not care to cover her mouth and a man digging in his nose. This place needs to hire more staff to keep kids under control. They should hire a cleaning crew to keep the place clean and tidy. I recommend it if you want to build inmunity and get anxiety.

My child digs this place, he seems to really enjoy the exhibits. And as a parent I must admit it's pretty cool. I'd love to see it fully interactive where everything worked but the elements they have working are great too. I have watched many kids in the runza and those kids are getting a big jump on their career. The gift shop is robbery so be prepared

Perfect for kids, clean and a good variety of animals. Lots of hands on activities for the kids.

The Lincoln Children's Museum is a lot of fun. Our kids had a great time and didn't want to leave! The main level is devoted is packed with things to do like shop in a grocery store, work in a bank, ride a police motorcycle, work as a mechanic, etc. The music room is neat too. The lower level is construction and nature. There is a cool ant hill to crawl through and a treehouse to climb around in. The top level is space and flying. There is also a café up there that is relatively new. That was the only disappointment of the day. We ate lunch there and while there was good variety, the food itself wasn't great. The chicken nuggets had a weird texture, my pizza slice was overcooked and the fries were rubbery. My husband did say his hot dog was good. Cafe aside, I would highly recommend the Lincoln Children's Museum!

Lots of fun for the young and the young and heart! Try out different skills, use imagination, creativity and exploration for a wonderful and adventurous of time. The museum is comprised of different areas with various themes. Children and adults can pretend to be a banker, a dentist, a restaurant staff person. If the environment and nature is more your thing, children can climb through trees and mazes pretending to be prairie dogs as they climb through intricate labyrinth tunnels and pop out above. Want to be Center Stage? There are two areas where children can go behind the scenes and put on their own puppet show. ...Or be center stage and act out various scenes with their own imagination for audiences to cheer them on! Elaborate working clock allows children to build blocks and when the cuckoo strikes, the blocks fall down and the children can build again.

Took my 2 year old. She had a great time. Loved the Fire Truck, the bridge and the babies at the hospital. We were disappointed the water area was gone now. Hopefully they will add something similar again. Lots to do and see. Can keep little ones busy for hours! This place is a bit on the pricey side, especially for adults, but for a trip once or twice a year, it's not so bad.

I wish we lived in Lincoln just to take our kids every weekend to this place. My 2.5 years old son loved it. We arrived at 4 and one hour was not eanought for him to explore everything. Loved it loved it loved it.

My kids always like to visit. Tree adventure and prairie dog town are some of their favorites.

Kids (4 & 6 yrs) had a great time. Lots of creative and interactive exhibits. Very few staff on the Sunday in August we were there. Concessions closed. Some exhibits are in need of repairs or other maintenance.

My 22 month granddaughter and I stayed for 2 1/2 hours and had so much fun. I’m seventy and got a on street parking a block away. Didn’t bring my cane or my coat only a fresh diaper under my arm just in case she needed a change which I used to dab the perspiration from my brow as she raced from station to station. It was so great to watch explore and enjoy the learning environment. All the things to climb onto/into, look at, touch, push, pull, turn on/off, build, take apart, watch, listen to, open/close and share with the other kids around her. I thoroughly enjoyed our experience. It was also fun being around all the other kids with their parents, grandparents, brothers/sisters, friends and family. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. It was fun to see all the children have an amazing time playing by themselves and with each other. Also there were plenty of places to sit and catch my breath and watch my grand baby at the same time, a wonderful experience for both of us.

Three floors full of activities for younger kids. There are some learning activities for elementary kids. There is not enough staff to keep all the items organized in all the different rooms. Staff is friendly and considerate. Most activities are handicapped accessible. Street parking only.

I have fond memories of visiting the Lincoln Children's Museum as a child and I love that I can bring my own children now. The exhibits are in amazing shape, covering a wide variety of topics. The detail in each area is amazing. Plus it's huge! You can easily spend a few hours here.

There is fun for all ages at the Lincoln Children's Museum. There's 3 stories of play areas. Slides. Areas to play pretend. And even a small baby area for the tiny toddlers to safely play. There's even an area to buy drinks and snacks. My children always leave happy and tired.

Was able to bring a family friend's son, almost 3 years old, in the other day and what a great time he had. Was excited the entire time we were there!

I had my twins second birthday party at the Lincoln Children's Museum and it was absolutely amazing. Lillie helped me plan and she was so informative and helpful. It was so nice to be able to show up and the decorations and everything was taken care of for me. We have been there many times but this was definitely our best experience.

Fantastic arena located in Downtown Lincoln. We parked a little ways away at Haymarket Park and a sky bridge brought us directly to the doors of the arena. Very clean building with plenty of restrooms and concessions. The souvenir stand had exactly what I wanted. Plenty to do around the building as well.

I wasn’t impressed (at first) doesn’t it flood down there? What is the plan with that whole area? No, was not impressed. After the structural construction 🚧 was still not impressed. The building was taking shape; some design and materials seemed out of place. Even after completion my receptivity was cool. Not sure when my feeling started moving the other direction; Bob Dylan Concert? My vaccinations? All the above, also and especially the way planners fit this complex into a walking riding community with sustainable examples taking the stage. The North Entrance connects our walking and riding community to a gateway of scenery and wellness experiences. Closer to natural lays of the land and our aspiring creeks. Yes an adventurist can walk near 2 confluences! Antelope Creek and Oak Creek; almost completely on The Salt Creek Levee Trail. The visual opportunities of this facility are outstanding; thanks 🙏 to our community for transforming and transcending city planning to a Sublime city experience. 👊

My first time visiting & and the arena was very nice! We sat in 219 1st row & it was a great view! Great place to catch an event! We parked at the baseball stadium & it was free! It's probably a 10-minute walk to the arena. Great experience!

Police doing traffic control were efficient and it wasn't too long to get through even for a packed concert. There were long lines for alcohol but that's to be expected. The lines for the ladies restroom moved fairly quickly and they were clean. Remember to check the bag, cash, and parking information on their website before going.

Overpriced food and drinks of course but that’s expected at arenas. I love going to concerts here, especially alone. Get a chance to meet new people and step outside of comfort zone with artist selection at the venue.

This arena is a real gem. I’ve attended many events over the past couple years (PBR, sporting events, concerts) and I always walk away impressed. This arena is always immaculately clean. The arena attendants are always courteous and helpful.

Was clean and friendly for the nickle back and Brantley gilbert concert. Seats had been more comfortable that I thought however they had not been used haha

Incredible. NE beats #1 Purdue (Jan 9th, 2024). Last time they beat a #1 team was 41 years ago. History was made here!!!!

Make sure you are going through them for your tickets it's easy to get confused when buying tickets for your entertainment. The phone staff are very polite and helpful in assisting you with your needs. As for the venue it's self I have been very pleased each time I have been there. I have went to wrestling shows and concerts the views have always been good and great sound quality. Pinnacle bank arena is a great place for all family entertainment

Not all of the employees working the security checks follow the rules. My SMALL diaper bag wasn’t let in meaning we had no way of changing our baby during the show but I have pictures of BIG bags allowed in. Sounds like not all of the staff are doing their jobs and aren’t being trained correctly.

We loved this event center and drove 1.5hr to get here! Elton John blew us out of the water here and had us in tears! The bathrooms were very clean and plenty of stalls available. We didn’t buy anything but it looked like they had a great selection of alcohol and food! The seats were okay, could always be bigger but to be expected. The sound quality and visual aspect was on point! The only downside is that parking is absolute garbage. We got EXTREMELY LUCKY that someone pulled out of a spot right in front of the venue as we were in stopped traffic trying to find a spot. But I think that’s an issue with cities in general so I can’t really count that totally against this place. I would recommend this place for anyone who is a concert goer like me! :)

Despite being on the losing end and the wrong side of a court storming, Pinnacle Bank Arena is an enjoyable place to watch a game.

Pretty nice museum to visit. The 4th floor looks like it's been recently renovated... Much more modern than the floors below. But overall, a good experience and place to visit it you like museums. Definitely recommend.

We came today as a school group and we had such a great time! We absolutely loved the new 4th floor from Nebraska area. The kids all thought it was really cool.

Most beautiful museum we have ever visited - 4 floors with huge variety, rich information, gorgeous paintings, and creative exhibits. Plus, the planetarium hosts 1-3 shows a day. Definitely a must-see in Lincoln.

The museum itself is very nice..... But the entire first floor was closed due to school children only being allowed. I was disappointed that we couldn't see those exhibits.... What I did see was nice.... It's kept very nice and clean..... Parking was difficult. Also I couldn't get a map of the museum to know where the different exhibits were. They were out of them.....

Nestled on the University of Nebraska - Lincoln campus, just off of 14th & Vine, this museum is 4 floors of exhibits. Give yourself the whole afternoon to explore and learn about natural history, including geology, dinosaurs, undersea life, and botany. The staff are an absolute delight, and the gift shop has an amazing selection of relevant mementos of your visit!

This is such a beautiful museum. One of the floors was closed for renovation when we visited, which was a bummer because it had the discovery room and kids LOVE the discovery room, but it was still a great experience. I like how the second floor is your typical taxidermy and articulated bones exhibits. They are very well done and not dusty like less well maintained exhibits I've seen at other museums. The upper floors have other exhibits, including a prairie exhibit on the top floor that has a lot of modern sculptures to help illustrate things. It makes it easier for everyone to learn during their visit. The mineral exhibit really excited my oldest kid. They loved looking at all the different minerals on exhibit and loved how some glowed under a black light. They also have an amazing large amethyst on display that was absolutely stunning. Only complaint is that free parking is super limited and paid parking is limited to 2 hours. Also, lord help you if you try to visit in game day.

Staff was wonderful. Had trouble finding parking specifically for the museum. But one phone call fixed that and I found the parking spots. Make sure you know you license plate of your vehicle. The interactive exhibits were aweome and fun. I was just geeking out the whole time.

Well worth it! Tons of information and things to learn. Interesting exhibits that will challenge you to think big and gain an appreciation for our world. If you’re a Nebraskan or just a proud Midwesterner, this place is for you! Definitely check out the top floor as it was recently renovated. Highly recommend! Come with the family, with your friends, or by yourself. They have something for everyone! Also it’s free for UNL students!

We have come here a couple times with the family it has always been very enjoyable and educational. My kids love seeing the huge mammoths. My oldest son who loves animals loved seeing all the different kinds they had around the whole museum. My dad and my son enjoyed looking at the varies rocks displayed on the second floor. There are so many different types of rocks to look at and a hands on science exhibit. The new exhibit on the third floor is really awesome as well. The kids got to do some hands on learning which was pretty great. Overall would highly recommend. The only downside might be parking but there is a parking garage close by and we just had to take a short walk to the museum.

As full time travelers, we have been to many museums across the western US and really enjoyed this one - do your homework before going as you will not see 3,500 quilts but a small and awesome collection. Will take two hours if you read all the placards and examine the displays. Nice building and excellent presentation. If you appreciate art, this is a must stop.

Absolutely incredible! Loved every minute our bus tour of 40 women got to spend here! Will definitely be making a return trip as soon as possible! Dean helped our group with a private tour after hours including a catered meal! Everything was so amazing!

I absolutely loved this museum and can relate since I am a quilter. Lots of quilts I saw inspired me to go home and try new methods!

Very interesting visit! The building itself is designed to invoke the idea of quilts, both inside and out. Inside there are a variety of exhibits, from across the world and time.

Very nice, informative museum representing many countries. A diversity of themed displays. Reasonable ticket prices, lovely clean facilities, benches in many of the galleries, and the gift area was delightful. Don't miss a chance to see it if you are in Lincoln or visitin.

This is an amazing museum with 3 floors of quilts. Many from the 1800s, 1900s and contemporary quilts. My husband even liked it. The gift shop has many unique items. The building is beautiful as well. There’s a free parking lot with room for an RV. We stopped on our way between Nebraska campgrounds. Staff was lovely. Highly recommend.

I don’t know the first thing about quilts and visited largely on a whim, but I have to say that this ended up being one of the most engaging, beautiful and fascinating museums I’ve been to. The guided tour through the exhibits was amazing and should be an absolute must. I’ll hopefully return some day!

This place is mind blowing. Clean bathrooms, Wheelchair access, Gentle stairs, Gift shop. Expect to spend at least an hour to read and see everything. We showed up mid-roadtrip not knowing if this would be a roadside attraction or a genuine full scale museum. It turned out to be the most incredible experience. Seeing pieces of true Americana and the sense of community and culture that surround a simple blanket is amazing. The art form that quilting is, and has become We're truly magnificent. The countless hours and energy that go into some of the pieces on display were incredible.

I love textile art and was looking forward to seeing the Quilt Museum's collection. They have some fabulous pieces of art - I was especially impressed with their newest exhibit, "Under the Tuscan Sun: The Works of Annamaria Brenti." I wish they had more different types of quilts on display - there were only six exhibits. Each was interesting, but I felt like stories of American traditional piecing were missing.

This is a really beautiful and unique museum. Even if you're not into quilting, it's definitely worth seeing the artistry and craftsmanship of talented quilters. It's very quiet and clean plus the staff is very friendly. Highly recommend visiting this museum!

It was truly a magnificent day. We walked around and looked at some of the quilts on our own but took the 11:00 tour. The tour guide was very knowledgeable, and I learned a whole lot about the quilts on display. I learned how they refold them every two years, how they take them out of circulation after 10 years so that they don't fade, I learned that you can't touch them and you can't take flash photography. They are very careful that the quilts don't fade..... I learned that quilts that have been out on display are putting isolation so no bugs come into the museum. That was extremely interesting... Our tour guide was very kind, she moved rapidly so that we saw a fair amount of the quilts. I was very happy for the tour. The quilts are just beautiful and so many of them. I couldn't believe the price that one of them sold for was over $260,000... It was a pre-civil war quilt.... truly magnificent. The red and white quilts in the room are just awesome, breathtaking, it is a really terrific sight.... I recommend this museum, it is just delightful. And, I know so much more now than I did before I went in there. It is in fact part of the University of Nebraska... And the building itself is breathtaking, and the stairs are very manageable although they have an elevator also... A lovely way to spend the day... Well worth the drive that we had from Omaha.

Simply spectacular. Throughout the main stage exhibit (collection) comprised of mostly unnamed quilters, I was reminded of how the fabric arts are symbolic of womanhood, domesticity, and the embodiment of tradition and even storytelling that is inherently feminine. What a patient and protean art. It’s a great museum if you want an exhibit that’s small and not too overwhelming. Wished there were prints (posters) available of certain quilts but that’s ok. Would recommend if you like to be surrounded by nerdy women.

This is a beautiful place to take your family. You can go and watch the geese/ducks at the pond. Take your kids to go play at the playground. Go back by the Nature Center and go watch the buffaloes graze or you can go for a nature walk on the trails or the tall grass at the top of the hill. It's entirely up to you but it's a beautiful place

Nice park to get out and do some walking. Enjoyed seeing the bison that were there and a couple of owls too. The gals in the visitor center were very nice and helpful in showing us the trails and what to do. Wish some of the trails would say how long they are.

Possibly my favorite park in lincoln. Well kept trails and a great enclosure for bird viewing. Also a very educational of you take some time to read at the stops

Take a walk here among the tall trees, listening to their quiet conversation, and feel the peace spreading with every breath of wind. 🌲🍃

This park is very nice to hangout at night. It was cold and very windy. Take extra clothes. It will be best if you have a telescope to watch STARs.

Good environment, awesome friendly staff for all my dumb questions. Free to enter. See Bison walking around in visible distance. People in park are friendly. No weed smelling like big city park. Just be aware some trail gates will be closed earlier.

One of my favorite parks to visit in the area. Great place for family gatherings, relaxing, and photography.

Fantastic nature preserve that I’ve been going to since I was a child. Recently went back after being away for almost a decade. Still gorgeous, still clean, still heaven on earth. My husband who doesn’t usually enjoy “rough nature” saw how well they kept the lands and fell in love as well. It was a dream to bring my son back here to have him see the one room school house I went to school in. So sweet.

Sunday, April 7th.2024. We had family time visiting Pioneers Park. The geese was a wonderful delight for our youngest ❤️. Mom and daddy geese was very tentative to the young hatchlings.

I visit once a week even in the winter. I find it very educational and peaceful. My grandkids go with me a couple of times a year. They love learning about native animals, insects, and plants also I am in a wheelchair (electric) and it's wonderful being able to go through some of the trails!! Thank you for being wheelchair accessible.

Free! As a life long resident I have grown up in Pioneers Park. The space is beautiful and has endless activities available including: Natural Prairies/plants, and Heritage school - a true Nebraska child/ public school right of passage. Also Walking trails, Restrooms (during warm months), fresh air, playgrounds, grilling areas, encounter/discovery center, picnic tables, ponds (no swimming) and animals. Just to name a few. Keep an eye on the Pinewood Bowl, great outdoor events with an occasional big name. Support local artists/performance. *** Don't forget to say "hi" (DO NOT DISTURB/FEED) the resident Buffalo heard in the back turn around. Truly magnificent.

My favorite place in Lincoln, and it is entirely free. I love saying hi to the bisons, having quality hammock-time among the trees, and simply forest-bathing. I have also done many photoshoots here, ran a 5-mile run here, and attended the best outdoor concert ever at the Pinewood Bowl. What a gem of a place. 🦬

A classic Lincoln park. Pioneers Park has activities for anyone. There are trails for horse riding, a playground, a sledding hill, opportunities to see wildlife, hiking and biking trails, and nature centers to learn about Nebraska ecosystems. Although the park is widely visited, it's large enough that it never feels crowded.

Not a whole lot here to see outdoors other than some free range bison and turkey vultures. The nature center was super cool. The boys got to see a few snakes up close. And all the animals that inhabit that area.

Have you ever been to the frozen lake? It's surreal to walk in it! be very ⚠️ careful, it's dangerous! and slide! so you don't get hurt! I saw people sitting with chairs in the middle of the lake! fishing! with young children having fun! with dogs too! the sunset is the most beautiful! High colorful colors in the sky! You have to go one day to see this! beautiful landscape! It's cold, take blankets or dress warmly with gloves and boots! a unique experience! I love sunsets! I go whenever I can!! whether in the 4 seasons of the year! ♥️

Pretty nature area in the city. Lots if birds flying around and ducks and geese enjoying the water. It was pretty windy when I visited so it was a little difficult to relax and enjoy my meal at the picnic table. Overall, really cool park.

Outdoors are best at the lake. This one is located south central little big town Lincoln, NE - Great place to take a walk or hike if you want to trek up the Holmes Lake Dam. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Place to bring kids - lots of open spaces away from traffic, and a huge kiss playground. The lake is almost all zero-depth entry, so watch them little ones like a hawk so they don't take off for a swim in this wildlife area (or stumble across some goose poo). ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great walking place for your 🐕 dog, but they must be on a leash - far too many cars near the walking trails, and wildlife they could chase. Next door / across 70th street visit the Holmes Lake Dog Run!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Bike these trails and get a real good work out, plenty of square miles around this adorable lake to burn some calories Other outdoor recreations: Fishing, kayaking or small non-motorized boats, sailing/ wind surfing, ice fishing, and ice skating Baseball, Sand Volleyball, Soccer and much more 🚫🏊‍♀️ No Swimming ⛺️🚫 No Overnight Camping

Holmes lake is such an amazing park right smack dab in the middle of Lincoln everything you would want in a park. Is a giant lake with plenty of good fishing, a full beautiful 18 hole golf course with a newly built clubhouse, a giant playground, sand volleyball courts and even a couple of baseball fields. If you're in Lincoln it is definitely worth a visit.

Best park in Lincoln! Two small restrooms on the east side of the lake, tons of green space, excellent walking path on the dam and around the lake(gravel).

Great place to walk, ride bikes, fish, and even small boating here. There are plenty of activities from the playground to the volleyball courts to the baseball fields. There's even an observatory open to the public on Saturday nights, so if you wanna look at the stars, you can. Pokemon Go makes it even more fun with plenty of stops and gyms.

The park is great but I was actually at the golf course. As are all the Lincoln public golf courses the greens, fairways and facilities are very good. The staff at this particular course are a bit snobbish but fortunately you need only deal with them for a moment. The course is probably the most challenging layout of the 4 city courses. Lots of elevation changes and holes of different lengths. And again like all the city public courses it’s a great value for the money.

Create medium size lake with fishing facilities and paddle board rentals most days. This is a site on the linking birding group observation areas. Walking trails are pleasant and have a good view of the lake, there's also a small playground for children.

Fun park! Lots of trails and different activities around the park. Decent fishing spot, however, water is pretty low right now, so you have to cast out a ways to get anything. They have sand volleyball and a big play area. Can’t go wrong with the beautiful sunsets!

Attended last Jazz in June concert of season. Band playing Zydeco music was terrific!! Hope to attend more J in J next year! Outside Sheldon Museum for years....crowd was over a thousand!! One of Lincoln's gems!! 🎶😀👌

Free admission, free parking on north side with pass from front of museum. Art is okay, some leftist art but not overwhelming. Fairly modernist but not completely, nice building. Quiet and contemplative. Alright overall for a non-art person.

I had my wedding here and Rachel was FANTASTIC at making sure we had everything we needed. Of course it's a gorgeous venue, but she went above and beyond to make sure we had no questions and make sure everything was running smoothly. Highly recommend for special events!

Wonderful museum! Small and intimate (and free!) with lots of interesting exhibits and some phenomenal art (and architecture!) - love this gem on the UNL campus.

Smaller than a lot of Art Museums however it was a nice change for the family to do something together. Really enjoyed the historic phone booth most have no idea about these days was a great laugh with the ladies downstairs. Super friendly staff!

Great place to see work from artists from all over. I enjoyed the themed rooms. It's been a long time since I've visited Sheldon. It was very neat to see some unexpected art pertaining to what we've been studying in homeschool. I took my 2 students age 9 and 7. My 7 yr old got bored after about the 2nd room, but my 9 yr old enjoyed it all the way through.

Beautiful architecture. It's pretty small, but a lot of the art was great. It had several pieces by fairly famous artists. 20%-30% was "art" done by woke people with a camera and daddy's financial support. Pro-tip: If you don't want your kids to see graphic, nude photography, don't take them here.

Excellent Museum. Well curated and focused collection. Ken was so welcoming and just a wonderful docent who discussed the exhibits with us extensively. The museum building itself is really neat architecturally. We really enjoyed our time there. The other "security" guy was a little rude and overbearing...Couldn't give me even 30 seconds to look at a painting because they had just closed (Not exaggerating I promise). Please let him know that when people take the time in their travels to come to your museum from out of town and donate admission...I think it's ok to behave friendly and give them an extra 60 seconds beyond closing time. In fact everything and everyone else was great so maybe that guy just needs a little softening up.

The staff are super friendly and I love that one area of the museum rotates the art out. Every time I visit, there is at least one new painting I haven't seen before. Plus they have famous artists on their regular exhibits like Georgia O'Keeffe and Andy Warhol. It's free and it's near downtown so you can easily get a meal.

It is pretty interesting learning about Nebraska and some history and the price, not bad. It has a gift shop, three floors of history and there is a presentation

We made some things in the art section. Expected more interactive exhibits but it was accessible, it wasn't crowded and the staff was friendly and accommodating.

Not a big museum but they do pretty nice job mixing it up. We were we were there for a Day of the Dead events and wandered up to the fourth floor and found a women's suffragist exhibit.

Sub par museum with underwhelming exhibits. The 3rd floor is all children's games including Cornhole which was awesome. I'm still a child at heart. However, it's neither a great museum for adults or a stellar playground for children. Saddest museum I've ever been to.

The Nebraska History Museum does a great job with the different exhibits I have seen the few times I have been there. Before this weekend, my last trip to the museum was 4 years ago as a UNL undergrad. This time around, I was impressed with the extensive Lincoln history and the Bison exhibit on display right now (March 2022) as well as the Women’s Suffrage exhibit. Plan on 1-2 hours to see everything this museum has to offer.

State capital is a nice place.

Nice little museum. Many interactive pieces for children. The water fountain was broken and all of the hand sanitizers were empty unfortunately. Nice place to escape the heat and get a history lesson in.

Took a group of grade school kids to the museum and I really enjoy myself, learning about Nebraska history it was very interesting.

I enjoyed my visit to the Nebraska History Museum. I thought it was well laid out and had informative information about the different time periods in Nebraska. I really appreciated the fact they had hand sanitizing stations set up all around the museum.

Great place to get a brief history of Nebraska and America within a few hours. We visited here in the first few days we arrived Lincoln and the knowledge we got from the museum was helpful for newcommers like us. I think it is a good place to take your kids to too.

Woah, there’s so much to learn from this museum. Short, detailed descriptions beside every exhibit are insightful.

Great informative and interactive museum. There were things for the kids and adults.

It was a great time, the place outside of the building looks sketchy, my boyfriend almost dropped out. The tour could've spoken louder, sometimes couldn't hear him. We were able to go into the cave which was such a great time, he showed us pictures from back then, told us stories from what it used to be (which was multiple things) but I won't say because you should go find out for yourself! Do I think it was worth it? Yes, for how much it was, it's a good one for once a year, maybe two. I'd go again and invite my family.

The Robber's Cave Tour was an awesome experience! Joel was a great tour guide and a wealth of information. Highly recommend if you're in the area!

Justin and the team at Robber's Cave were excellent in planning our event and worked hard to ensured our event was a success. We were impressed with the cleanliness of the venue and the catering team. The tour is what really made the event standout for our guests. It was filled with Lincoln history and was highly entertaining.

A fun time seeing something I never knew existed in my town. The host/tour guide/author was entertaining and it a nice way to spend a little less than an hour before dining out on a Saturday evening. Small groups are best.

Dexi Krout did a great job helping me set up a suprise retirement party. She was very patient and had great ideas. The staff was very friendly and polite. I cannot say enough about how awsome the food was. I highly recommend the lemon drop cheesecake. The facility is beautiful, cozy and accommodating. We bundled the cave tour, and that was informative and fun. I will plan another party here again... Debra

What a fantastic experience. Our tour guide, Joel, was great. A local teacher, he has dedicated so much time and effort documenting the history of the cave. Joel has written a book about the history that will soon be made into a movie. If you are in the area, this is a tour not to miss.

We used the lower level of RC for our wedding ceremony and reception. It was the perfect amount of space for our event, is lit beautifully, and we highly recommend it for any event. The hour we got the night before was perfect for a rehearsal and dropping off our decor. Dexi’s communication leading up to our event was 10/10 and the staff on-site the day of were all super helpful throughout the evening. The only piece of feedback I have would probably be to include cave tours in the rental package!

The staff at Robber’s Cave went above and beyond. They hosted an amazing event for our company and we will be returning as customers and cabs fans!

We went for a Christmas party. Ridiculously overpriced drinks, but you kind of expected that due to the kind of event it was. Lots of specialty drinks, my group was not impressed with them. They definitely had the venue decked out in Christmas nirvana, lights and decorations everywhere. Even had several places to stop for photo opportunities. The service was good, we had a really fun time joking around with our server. Parking seemed to be appropriate for a venue of that size.

Cool experience. Interesting and spooky place. Glad I did it. Joel was very knowledgeable and passionate about the cave. Kids were on the tour with me, so I didn’t get to ask all the scary questions I wanted to.

My family and I attended a wedding reception here. It was amazing! We got to tour the cave! All the staff were wonderful. It was a great experience at a beautiful place.

I had heard about this cave for awhile now but had never got the opportunity to go and see it. With some out of town friends visiting we finally decided to take a chance and all I can say is WOW. The cave is incredible and chalked full of history. Joel is a one man show for these tours and I was simply blown away by his knowledge. This was easily one, if not THE coolest attractions in Lincoln.

Seriously, how many of you have been to a roller skating museum? I thought so. The museum is tucked away in the USA Roller Sports building and is essentially self-guided. It's free and it's actually pretty interesting. Plan for about 30 minutes. Small note: Parking is in the back of the building. GPS will take you to the front, where there is no parking.

This museum is a pleasant place to spend an hour reminiscing or learning something new to you or your kids. It’s kind of a hidden gem in Lincoln.

A very unique and super cool museum of the history of Roller Skating. I was trying to figure out what the previous reviews meant by “don’t forget your quarters,” but after visiting I would say bring a quarter or two!

This was such a unique experience. The displays were well thought out and included an audio tour that you could listen to as you walk through (on your own device, be sure to bring headphones!). Some of the audio was too long to hold my interest, but it was a great resource to have and I think others with a stronger passion for roller skating would find it to be thorough enough to teach them something new.

If you ever skated as a kid, you'll enjoy the museum. Who knew the first skates were inline? Apollo Ono and Tara Lipinski started on roller skates. Rhonda Cann, the director, is a wealth of additional information. And it's free with free parking. Well worth the time!
