Fun place to learn history of the US space program. It’s expensive for a family to come here so plan accordingly. They charge for almost everything interactive once you pay the $30/ea. entrance fee. I get it that they are privately funded so they have to charge to get in. The kids loved it and I loved coming here as a kid myself. The restaurant is a rip off so plan food accordingly.

The tickets are $30 each for entrance, but are 50 percent off on weekdays in February. There are additional charges for many of the activities. The Saturn V is the biggest attraction included with the admission ticket and there are free tours at scheduled times. The tour was worth it. We only had 4 hours on hand to spend here and wish we had more. There's the moon rock, NASA Lunar module, Mars 2020 Perseverance with Ascent vehicle and helicopter, the Apollo 16 command module, the mobile quarantine unit and many other exhibits that should not be missed. Near the building are gravesites of Miss Baker, the first squirrel monkey to go to space and come back alive and her husband.

The whole place was great. I wish the Space Shuttle was back atop the tank. The Planetarium was AMAZING! The guy that did the show for us was funny and gave the crowd an option for "A boring normal planetarium show" or a "Fun and up close and personal and informational experience with the planets." This was almost exactly one year ago, but he did such a good job that I still remember the funny jokes he made up. "I mean, Uranus is the butt of all jokes." I wish I had thanked him in person, but all these months later, I thank you to whoever made that the best experience ever!

The people who work here take great pride in their history. It was great to see all the authentic pieces. We enjoyed the ability to climb into some of them and feel what it was like to be an astronaut. We also liked walking through the replica of the international space station. They have many experiences that are not included in the admission price. So go check then out first before you decide which ones to choose. The place is showing its age.

Wow. Just wow. What an experience. This place did not disappoint! We did 2 planetarium shows: The Sounds of Space and Cosmos and Cocktails. We had the amazing opportunity to speak with two WOMEN who are engineers for NASA. The gift shop employees were super knowledgeable and friendly. The only confusing part was there was no honorable mention to Katherine Johnson (Hidden Figures). It would have been great to see a dedication to her. It was a great experience all in all though.

So many things to see and do. I bought tickets online, which is highly recommended for any of the activities (there were only 3 spots available for flight simulator the day before). Neat to see everything. Very well organized and maintained. Lots of friendly staff. On-site restaurant is a bit expensive.

Core memory! Went with high expectations, and they were fulfilled! I kinda wished I lived nearby so I can make this an annual trip. I would also recommend the rides (especially the MaxFlight and VR experience). Stuff was also super friendly.

I had a great experience here, learning about the space rockets and of course walking the grounds around the static displays. Take about 2.5 hours to walk and read of its uncrowded like the day I went. Also there were rocket scientists present for you to talk to. The hands on portion where you get to control some of the games was really a nice touch. I definitely recommend a visit.

First time visiting. Overall we had a good visit. The four of us was little less than $90. I feel like it’s overpriced, and the food was also overpriced for what you got. So that’s why it has 4 stars. I wasn’t sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised at some exhibits. There were construction going on so it looked a bit of a mess outside. The kids enjoyed themselves. The employees were friendly and helpful so no issues there. The facilities were clean. It’s wheelchair, stroller friendly, with a mom and baby restroom. I would come back, just not anytime soon. Maybe when the kids are teenagers.

Awesome experience!! Great permanent exhibits, and several temporary ones that change up a couple times a year. This month, they had a really cool Guinness Book of World Records - Science of Play exhibit in the main room! It was so much fun!! There were dozens of different games and challenges for kids of all ages to interact with. I highly, highly recommend going to the 8K Planetarium movie "Our Place in Space" !!! (Tickets are $10-$12 each, but its worth it!)

Even if you're not a big space fan this place has something for everyone. Tons of specs program things inside and out. Old rockets and spacecraft, astronaut items, a real moon rock, the capsule from Apollo 16, and tons of play areas for kids. Such a cool experience to stand under the Saturn V and think of the historic missions it powered. We took our two boys 7 and 4 and they loved everything about the place. You will not regret seeing this place in person.

Not only was it INCREDIBLE to see REAL space crafts that went to SPACE, but a HUGE thank you to the employee who helped me when I got lost. My phone had died, so I couldn't find my family and ended up having a panic attack, but the employee who helped me was so kind and calm and helped me find my way, and I have nothing but appreciation for them! So, 5 stars for both an incredible experience of getting to see and learn all about some incredible space missions, but also for the fantastic customer service!

It was an amazing place to spend the day with the family. Super busy but we were able to easily do everything we wanted. The planetarium was so incredible. I would definitely recommend it while you are here. I can't explain how extraordinary it is to see.. my daughter kept saying it was out of this world 😁

This was a great family experience and educational as well. There were many interesting and interactive exhibits to see. This is a museum that will take you a couple hours or more to view, but is very worth the trip.

This place is awesome! I was here alone and spent about 2.5 hours, if I had my kids I would have been here most of the day, really cool to see the ISS exhibit and be able to walk under some of the huge rockets

If you are in Huntsville Alabama you need to come to the U.S Space & Rock Center. I loved seeing the Saturn 5 Space ship and they have a airplane simulator. The G Force ride was very fun but can get you dizzy. There is also a really expensive gift shop if your interested.

What a Great place to spend the Day! So much to see and things to do that are apart of the general admission. There is a number of things that are extra but we didn't do them and still enjoyed the day. 5 year old Grandson loved it. Lots of outside things to walk around and see. The parking is free. There is a gift shop and food court as well

Such an educational, fun museum. There is SO MUCH to see and do. There are so many interactive things for kids and adults to do. There is so much to see, watch, and experience here. We even got to speak with a rocket scientist who has been doing this for 52 years. It's hard to even summarize the experience. Truly, our nations space history spread out. Lots of walking but worth it. The staff is friendly and efficient at answering questions. There are so many restrooms and easy wheelchair access throughout. You could spend a whole day exploring and finding more facts and information. There are outside exhibits and indoor ones. There are tons of picnic tables outside, and there is a cafe with indoor seating as well. Wear your walking shoes and take lots of pictures. It is something your guests will talk about for years to come.

Our family had such a great time visiting the space & rocket center. The staff were all so friendly and knowledgeable. We did the planetarium and although I study space for my degree path, I learned quite a bit about the planets in our solar system. There was also a playground for my 7 year old to play in for a bit before heading back to our hotel. So far it's been the best part of our first time trip to Huntsville.

Quite a cool place to explore - but only if you have a bit more than 1 hour we had (so we ended up just checking it out from outside and then the me gift shop). Not the cheapest but quite large, also with a large gift shop with quite a cool selection. Seems quite kids-focused, great option for families.

If you are a space nerd like me, you will spend all the money, and you will regret nothing, even as they’re renovating right now. One general adult admission ticket was $30. Took about four hours of light sightseeing to cover the museum and the Saturn-V building. This could have easily been the whole day if I went deep in all of the exhibits. They also had actual aerospace engineers wandering around the Saturn-V Instrument Unit display you could ask questions to. (That’s the kind of thing your entry fee is paying for.) Didn’t get to the planetarium this time. Will try for next time. They also have lots of hands-on stuff, and simulators to try out (at an added charge), which I did not partake this time, but looked really cool. Gift shop got me for about $70 in merch on the way out. Very good quality merch, including my new favorite (USA made!) stainless steel water bottle. I’ll happily come back if life brings me back to Huntsville.

This is a decent place to bring young children for an outing. I came during the week so it wasn't so crowded for the most part. Planetarium show was okay, wasn't as exciting as we thought. But worth the $10 while there. Good amount of information regarding space and replica models.

Beautiful, well kept gardens. Lots of walking trails. Plants are well identified and kept. Staff is very friendly. Butterfly House is beautiful with many varieties of butterflies you can observe up close. If you sit still, you may be lucky enough to have one land on you. The Children's Garden is amazing! There are facilities are well placed throughout the Garden so you are never far from water or restrooms. Lots of shady spots to hang out on hot sunny days.

Beautiful, serene, fun, playful. The customer service was great! Go to the Visitor's Center first and get your 20% off coupon and if you qualify get your Veteran's discount on top of that! We LOVED all the swings and benches. The architecture is beautiful. The origami art installations were wonderful, too! We heard about a wading pool for kids. On our way out, there was live music. Wednesdays,dueing the summer, you can have dinner and music in the park. It's open until dusk. Just a great way to enjoy nature's beauty. Even on a hot day, you can find a breeze and some cool in the shade rocking in a swing or two.

This place is so tranquil! The beautiful flowers, water lands and butterfly house make this place so relaxing. You should give yourself at least an hour or more to fully enjoy the gardens. There are trails, swings, benches, and plenty of photo opportunities.

A lovely experience, no matter the time of year. They offer plenty of exciting activities, from gardening classes to floral sales to small orchestral performances. Summertime is the most beautiful for touring the gardens, as everything is in full bloom and the Butterfly House is brimming with butterflies. Christmastime is also special, featuring a festival of lights, holiday music and treats, and a selection of artwork painted by local children. The cafe provides a pleasant breakfast or lunch for a small fee, and the gift shop's fine offerings change to reflect the seasons. This place never gets old for me. I love it here.

Living in a society that supports education, outdoor activities, and public spaces, it seems almost anachronistic to charge $17 admission and not hand out a paper map. This garden is densely planted, thoughtfully arranged, and offers educational relaxation in the presence of amazing native and imported plants. You see young families swinging with a baby in a hammock, middle aged visitors with huge cameras, children groups, and the odd old couple that stops and stares, always leaving you to wonder if they catch their breaths or ogle at their favorite plant. I have to deduct a star since I came to cross check Trillium species with published descriptions and found the trillium collection not quite living up to its reputation. when I left, I became a member anyways. A place worth my support.

In town for the weekend and the gardens were just a block away! So worth the time to stroll through these beautifully kept gardens! We were there during the Stickworks and swing displays and they were fun to find during our exploration of the gardens. The Children's garden and the butterfly pavilion is a must visit while there! Don't miss those! Make sure you bring sunscreen and water! Although there are lots of shady areas out can get quite steamy in the open areas!

Loved my visit here! An absolutely beautiful location, and we spent at least two hours walking around trying to see everything the garden had to offer, and I know we still didn't manage to see everything! I definitely recommend going! The butterfly house was so cute and I loved the origami art all around.

We went on Memorial Day weekend and enjoyed a relaxing day there. We missed several of the flowers blooming, but there were still plenty to see. They make sure there is plenty of seating of various types to stop, relax, and enjoy the view. There is a children's play area to give them a chance to run off some extra energy while the parents sit in the shade. The butterfly house sits right beside it and is a nice exhibit.

Wonderful huge park with many places to rest and indulge relaxation and floral breathing, tons of trails to walk across the park. For kids fun: play with turtles.

Nice place - very similar to Morton Arboretum in Lisle, IL. Exceptional visitor center, walkways through the gardens and lush trees. They have weddings there too in beautiful settings. Flowers in spring are spectacular!

This is an experience in Huntsville that you CAN NOT pass up. I went during the summer and I would love to come back in the spring. Absolutely beautiful, a large variety of plants. The butterfly garden is very tranquil. The aquatic garden has a beautiful walkway and there is a play area for children. There are several locations among the trees that have places to sit and take in the surroundings. Also, there is a cafe on the grounds. I would suggest making sure you bring a water bottle to be prepared for the heat if you are going during the summer.

Great little gem in the area. The gardens are well maintained, user friendly, have lots of places that patrons can stop and relax, and many areas offer shade which is fantastic during the hot months. Definitely plan on spending at least an hour touring the gardens. Highly recommend.

Wonderful way to spend a few hours walking and enjoying the beautiful gardens. We visited during late morning. You can take a tour or walk at your own pace. The paths are mostly flat and well maintained. The fauna and exhibits are easily accessible. We saw parents with young and older children and also noticed older folk like ourselves. This is a great way to get outside and enjoy nature in a beautiful setting.

Beautiful! We're lucky to have such a lush garden to enjoy here in Huntsville, and they host various activities and classes for the community. It's a great place to bring young kids or just have a solitary walk to enjoy the flowers and greenery. A membership is a great value, especially if you travel because you can see gardens in other cities by showing your card.

Calm and beautiful place to spend your time with or without the kiddos! I have 3 and we all had a pleasant time admiring the views and playing about the trails. It's a good way to get in some walking that is beautiful at every time of the year. Their events are cute too if you ever come in the fall look for the Scarecrow trail the kiddos like that as well as their Christmas lights!

Really beautiful place. Decided to visit here as we were in the area to visit the space center. This place has a surprisingly large children's garden with different themes and also an area where there are small houses. My 8 and 9 year olds loved this place and the turtles that swam in the pond. Lots of scarecrow displays that showcased the autumn season and local organizations. Will come back for sure.

I love this place and you will too! Membership is cheap and you get a lot of other perks with it too! The Purdy butterfly house is my favorite thing to do in the spring/summer, it has such a gorgeous little grotto area!! It's just long enough for a nice walk that isn't tiring. Highly recommend this place and the lovely staff!

" a green oasis with year round activities". Yeah right. We went today and not a single plant was a live. It was all baren plots. The Christmas lights and decorations were still up, and half the park was closed due to construction. No signs to indicate this. Just giant trucks driving on the roads and digging up plots. We were not told everything was dead, and the people at the desk were happy to still charge us $75 for this experience. Don't get me wrong. They were very polite. But we completely wasted our time and money in wandering an acre or so of grass and trees. We expected greenhouses or something worth our time. Nope.

I travel a lot and love going to botanical gardens wherever I go. 95% of places I have been are free with a small exception requesting donations of around $5-$8 which I think is reasonable. This place wants $20 just to walk through. Not a guided tour. No other services than just walking there. I was stupefied. I would have considered maybe $10 but wow. There is a part of me that thinks the ticket price is intentionally high to discourage low-income (usually minority) folks from being present which I hear is an issue in Huntsville. Just go to a park or the much larger gardens in Birmingham which is FREE.

Take a stroll in the natural beauty and bright lights of the Huntsville Botanical Gardens. Awesome in the spring and wonderful in the winter, the Gardens is a spectacle year round. My wife and I enjoy this sanctuary and highly recommend.

Beautiful Saturday! I decided to stop in while passing through the area. What a lovely botanical garden! It's not the peak season but the fall decorations were plentiful and made it feel festive. There were scarecrows of varying kinds all over, as well as LOTS of pumpkins and gourds. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Pretty cool place to visit. The animals are used to cars feeding them, so they will swarm your car and if your windows are down they will be all up in your car. Was hoping for more variety of animals, it's mostly deer and emu. There are some variants of cattle, a few miniature horses and a bunch of pigs. There is a giraffe, which is cool, but he stayed pretty close to his pen. The animals with horns/antlers did a great job of minding their closeness to the car. They got super close, but didn't have any issues with them scratching the paint (I was super worried about that.)

This place is amazing, I took my fourteen your old daughter, and we had a blast it was so much fun so many friendly interactive animals, I would definitely go back again highly recommend it for anybody of all ages to check this place out you will not regret it I can guarantee you that. Literally some of the best fun I’ve had in so long.

Animals were very sweet and all came to meet us in the car. There was plenty of food to go around and a bunch of the deers just followed our car along which was fun. We had a great time.

A bit smaller than expected, and with fewer animal types than we'd hoped. Still a nice time - lots of laughter, squeals of delight, and excitement. We didn't even have any kids with us on this trip yet still had fun. Definitely worth the price, even with slightly expensive animal feed. I mean, how often do you get to interact with llamas / alpacas, exotic deer big & small, cows and bulls with enormously long horns (red, long haired highland cattle & Ankole - Watusi breed)...And many others!?!

We enjoyed feeding the animals. I was disappointed that there was no giraffe or highlander cow and they have closed all the walking attractions. No reptile attraction or tortoises. You can not get put og ypur car for any pictures anywhere. When I asked questions about it to see if it was permanent, the woman seemed annoyed. We did enjoy the cows, emus and llamas. Just wished we new giraffe was gone and some attractions closed.

Took my kids and it was smaller then expected but so worth it, we went around twice to enjoy all the animals and feeding them. Some do get aggressive when you stop feeding but it was a wonderful experience and my kids absolutely loved it.

Absolutely an experience! Had allot of feelings about this place but I can say it was really fun. I won't be going back because of the long horns scratching my car I buffed out what I could but it's not worth getting more. Also the long horns were very aggressive and the horns got a little too close for comfort once coming in the car window about half a foot from my passengers chest. Would love to do it again but the scratches from the long horns is not worth it. All that being said I'm glad I went because it was truly a real up close experience with exotic animals!

I took my daughters and their friend here for the first time and we had an awesome time. I definitely recommend checking it out. We fed the animals and even got to pet a few. With Covid, we weren’t allowed to get out of the car and explore but we still had a great time. The staff was super nice and explained everything when we arrived. I will be visiting again very soon.

Amazing!!! It was so much fun! I think a little more emphasis should be placed on what the rules are instead of just being handed a piece of paper. We bought the bucket of food and had a great time! Only thing we would do differently is RENT one of their vehicles! The animals will jump on your car, slobber etc. Renting a car would have been less of a hassle. Also the camel is pretty aggressive so watch out for that.

We visited the 4/5/21. We’ve always made this a priority stop when traveling because our family always has such a great time and the barrel of laughs that come when the animals put their head in your vehicle. It truly is priceless. However this trip was different. The young lady at the window when entering was rude. EXTREMELY disrespectful and downright rude. If she doesn’t like her job she should find a new one. We were totally bummed about not being able to get out and explore at the end and the animals looked terrible. A lot of them were under weight, missing large patches of hair and some even seemed to weak to even get up and come to our van. We’ve had many years of fun coming here, but afraid this year will have been our last.

My husband and I have been here several times to hike and just enjoy the natural beauty that Monte Sano State Park has to offer. Today was the first time we visited the Japanese Garden. Several of the trees are in bloom and the colors are surreal! The space and trail are very well maintained as well. I'm so happy my husband learned about this spot and took us here for a walk on such a beautiful spring day. I will note that this trail is very easy (I'm 36 weeks pregnant so this was welcomed). So, if you are in the area and want an easy stop, this is one I highly recommend, especially in the spring/summer.

Beautiful nature! Not too crowded but enough people to not be nervous alone. Great for hiking or mountain biking; not the best for trail runs at least not the one I did. Lots of steep loose rock. It is amazing here though.

A gorgeous state park with LOTS of great hiking trails for moderate levels. The trails have lots of roots, rock & exposed bedrock. Gorgeous tall pine trees & sweet smell. Visiting in late October ZERO bugs harassing us. Lots of parking at each lots & many trail options. Day pass is $5 or $4 for seniors or those with golden access cards.

Loved this park. Up on a mountain so camping was cooler. temperature wise. and there are full hookup sites available. Different hiking trails available. Small camp store. If you are going up for camping check the maps. don’t go the way GPS sends you. it is a windy switchblade type road. there is an easier entrance off Governors Drive there are picnic areas and it is dog friendly. Also a playground near the picnic area. outside the campground.

This park is a beautiful breath of fresh air . We were here early spring 3/22/24 so the trees are still bare and most of the flowers un bloomed, however, the ambiance of the tea garden gave more than enough to inspire a marriage proposal. To me, this park resembles commitment, honor, loyalty, duty, respect, responsibility, and the circle of life in harmony (family). Needless to say, i took a piece of Monte Sano with me that day. Another great state park in Alabama. We stayed in the campground in a 28 ft RV. There were larger 5th wheels and class A motor homes in the park also. There is plenty of room between sites. Good area for kids to ride bikes. We enjoyed a nice hike on a couple of the many trails available.

Beautiful location but check the map before you go. Google maps brought us in from the northeast on Bankhead Parkway- VERY tight switchbacks, extremely steep and narrow road. We were in a 30’ class C motor home and just barely made the turns. Otherwise, enjoyed our stay.

What a gem! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, they went above and beyond! Eager to interact. Spacious campsites, clean. The bath houses were dated but clean and stocked.We've been coming to Huntsville for years and never knew that there was such a beautiful place within 15 minutes of downtown Huntsville!

This is such a beautiful place to go hiking they have trails that are marked well so u won't get lost.. and the scenery at the top is so beautiful and breathtaking... I would love to see it during sunrise or sunset and take a... But I did get some beautiful pictures picture🥰

There is so much to do and see. I went to 2 different look outs, found one of the 2 water falls (it hadn't rained so only a trickle of water) so relaxing. I was only able to hike about a mile due to time but what I did do was amazing. The silence other than nature was perfect. I will definitely go again next time I am in the area.

A family favorite. Here you'll find walking trails, hidden waterfalls, and some of the most beautiful overlooks in the state of Alabama. This park is huge, and there's something new to see every time you visit.

Great place. Clean bathroom and shower. Lots of trails to walk or if you're brave, Mountain bike. Would definitely come back.

There are a lot of good things to say about Monte Sano. There are a lot of hiking trails (and options for how far you want to hike). The trails are well marked - and maps are available in the visitor center. The park has disc golf and mountain biking. There is a mountain bike practice area that looks cool, too. We hiked on a chilly December day, so the heated bathrooms by the picnic shelter were a hit. They were clean. Why not 5 stars? It’s a great place for a hike near Huntsville, but the views aren’t breathtaking. The Stone Cut trail is the coolest path, but otherwise just anticipate a nice hike in the outdoors.

Hiked south loop trail and it was all well marked and stopped near the campsite for the view! Bathrooms were clean and loved the Japanese Garden. Even saw a momma deer and her fawn and they weren't scared of us at all!

Lots of hiking trails through the woods. Not a lot to see. There is an overlook where you get a unique view of the city, and you can see all the way to the rocket (and beyond)

Such a nice state park, so many nice trails and the staff was super friendly. RV sites were also nice and pretty level. Nice playground and plenty to do.

The park is very well-maintained! The trails and views are simply breathtaking. There is so much to do here from overnight stays in the cabins. We’re bringing your camper up here and enjoying the fresh mountain air. This is truly a great place to bring your family and friends for a nice day out enjoying nature.

Please fix the only bathrooms we seen near the campground. They were both very disgusting today and neither would flush and if I have to pay $10 for 2 people to come in your park I’d like somewhere clean to be able use the bathroom. The park itself is quite beautiful. Will be back. Hopefully I can change this review next time we come.

The journey to the campground, albeit adventurous, revealed the beauty of the location. The mountain road, with a 5 to 6 percent grade, added a touch of excitement to our ascent. While a challenging switchback initially gave us pause, we later discovered a more accessible route from the Huntsville side, ensuring a smoother entry for those towing vehicles. The check-in process was seamless, with a well-organized station and ample parking before entering the campground. For late arrivals, a helpful Camp host at the entrance gate's left side ensured easy access with the necessary code. Our stay at site #3 was both comfortable and scenic, featuring full hookups, a gravel base, a picnic table, and a fire pit. The off-season visit granted us the luxury of choosing from numerous open campsites, showcasing the campground's capacity of 85 RV sites and a designated area for tent camping. As a traveling photographer, I found two experiences particularly memorable. The first was the breathtaking sunrise from the scenic overlook to the east—a perfect spot for capturing the dawn's beauty. The second occurred during RV setup when I turned around to find several deer quietly observing from just a few feet away—an unexpected encounter that left me in awe. (Video link attached) The campground's abundant wildlife, including squirrels, birds, and even a coyote, added to the allure of the stay. Over our four-day visit, tranquility prevailed, making it a peaceful escape. I highly recommend Monte Sano State Park Campground to fellow travelers, with the friendly suggestion to approach it from the Bankhead Parkway via US-431 for a more convenient and scenic route. This campground is a haven for nature lovers and those seeking a serene mountain retreat.

Amazing display of military artifacts. Great staff who can tell you as much as you could ever want to know about the items and history of the items in the museum. Plan to spend more time than you think. The museum is packed and worth the time to read the information provided. Also plenty of military bases around, got lucky enough to see Apaches training!

Awesome! Looks small from the outside, but it's packed on the inside. Amazing collection of war weapons and equipment. My only suggestion is to cut a door or at least a window in a tank so we can see inside. Really nice museum.

This place is great it is packed with rifles, uniforms, pouches, knives just filled with equipment. It's kind of small and they only accept cash but that's really not a issue, they have a small area where you can take pictures with either a Korean or Desert storm vest, helmet and riffle our son really enjoyed that. They had uniforms and equipment from the war of independence to the war in Iraq. They have planes, jeeps, motorcycles I mean there was just so much to see and it seems they have more to add. You really gotta check it out if you are in Huntsville or around the area it's also not expensive at all.

This museum was started about 20 years ago in an old hangar building on what was once the HSV airport. It is really chock full of military equipment, uniforms, small arms and a full variety if displays! While they could use double the space to be able to better spread the exhibits out, they have done an excellent job with the space available. They have a nice assortment of Jeeps for the many fans of the early days of these iconic vehicles. This is a great place to visit if you have an interest in military history and related equipment. Admission is a very reasonable donation, and is a really great value. I spent over an hour absorbing the many interesting items on display.

Such a cool place with so many awesome things to see. History is very interesting and to see pieces of all the wars in our country's past is fascinating. All of the staff was very friendly and do a great job of running this museum. Highly recommend coming of you're in the area.

A gem 💎 In Huntsville. The volunteers are very knowledgeable and actual veterans. Original war vehicles, guns, uniforms, flags to mention a few. The very first original Jeep ever produced; serial #1. Very impressive. History buffs will be delighted.

A must for any history enthusiast. The museum has lots of very high-quality pieces from a variety of nations and is well kept by knowledgeable staff. Their restored vehicles look amazing. This place is clearly ran by people who care. $5 donation for admission was well worth it.

This place is magic. I cried about 5 times, that I could tell when the extreme sweat wasn't rolling down my face, this place is heaven for any history lover, and a place of absolute serenity. I'd recommend allotting 3 hours, they have every section of our war history beautifully layed out, including L.O.S from WW2 which were absolutely astounding to see in person, and just look at the signatures of the dignitaries that were there in that historic moment. I'd give this place 100 stars if I could. Also, TIP!! Entry is 5 dollars, but nothing is stopping you from putting a 20 in there! Its volunteer run, and those volunteers are some of the coolest, most knowledgeable people I've had the absolute pleasure of meeting. Love, love, LOVE this place.

Took my family to the museum and it was humbling. The military equipment and staff is amazing. The staff is highly knowledgeable and extremely friendly. Our kids loved it. Can't wait for the expansion and to come back.

It was a very interesting and informative walkthrough the history of the theaters our county has been through. It was great to see the Veterans there helping with the museum after the completion of the local Veterans Day Parade.

I went to donate some WWI and WWII family memorabilia. I was greeted with the most friendly and knowledgeable staff, who are all volunteers, many of whom are veterans themselves. As I spent the afternoon going through the memorabilia with the staff, who knew so much just by looking at pictures or reading the documents, it was nice that I got to learn a lot more about my family history by sitting and going through everything with them. After I got to take a tour of the museum. The Museum is Packed with a wide array of vehicles, uniforms, flags and personal items, there is so much history to experience. It is a great place to visit for an afternoon or weekend getaway. The outside and surrounding area is under construction but do not let that stop you from visiting as the museum is open. I was excited to learn that the museum is in the Very beginning stages of expanding and redoing things to enhance the experience, adding QR codes for additional info and to include more specific types of displays etc. I am looking forward to going back to visit again. The museum is truly a tribute to the men and women who have served in the United Stated Armed Forces, and I myself am thankful for their services and sacrifices.

This place was pleasantly surprising! So much inside! My grandson who is passionate about guns and uniforms was in seventh heaven! Very well worth a visit!

Great museum! A little small, but they had plenty of displays! Tanks, vehicles, uniforms, weapons, medals and much more. The staff was super friendly. The outside area is currently undergoing construction, and the museum looks like it may be closed but don’t let that scare you off, they’re still open! I would definitely recommend stopping by for a bit if you’re in the Huntsville area. 5$ adult entry, 3$ student and senior. The staff didn't even charge us since we came by an hour before they closed.

A BIG arena! Lots of space, plenty of bathrooms and it's all air-conditioned! Attached to the Embassy Suites, there is a walkway between the 2, you never have to get out in the weather. They also have concession stands inside also, in case you get hungry or thirsty.

Honestly one of my fav concert venues to go to. I live in town so its obviously close, but as Huntsville is on the rise we begin to see bigger and better Arena tours come to us. Haven't experienced the seats yet but I'll come back when I do. The pit experience is always good and security takes good care of the people in the front. I've seen three concerts here so far and all were handled well. VIP locations can seem confusing but really read your emails. The Mars Music Hall and Mark C. Smith Auditoriums are also great. The Mars Music hall is very intimate and small, generally all standing with a deck for seats and tables. The Mark C. Smith suffers from the fact that if someone stands up in a row in front of you, its a bit distracting. Seats were comfy though and getting in was easy. Parking all around is very good as well. The garage across the street is my go to.

Great place for concerts or any other type of events which on the day we were there we attended a college graduation, conveniently located in downtown Huntsville and also adequate parking and very large on the interior with security protocols in place

Youth conference with 3000+ teens. Very spacious. Nice size meeting rooms. Food service not bad. Clean bathrooms. Hockey was a lot of fun. Very friendly staff.

I like this venue for concerts. It's easy to navigate and find your seats. There's always plenty of ushers and employees to help you find your way or direct you to your seats. The acoustics are great and the seats are usually reasonably comfortable. However, the prices at the concession stand were crazy and the wait was even worse. Half an hour for a beer and fries? No thank you.

We had a great time at the concert. Def need to update the seating in the arena. Very hard and uncomfortable. Need a way to limit alcoholic drinks. Not everyone can hold their alcohol or control themselves. Should be an2-3 drink limit. Not a free for all. Could be unsafe for kids etc. The people down from us kinda got unruly. ☹️

Went to "Still Playin Possum" wonderful show! Venue was good. One exception, the way they sell handicapped seating was odd and not all the ushers were aware of it. They tried to make us walk up some stairs (with a wheelchair)

This is a very unique theater I love it. We did a stage production there i want bring my crew back and perform a musical show. This is a beautiful place and now one of my favorite theaters I’ve experienced in my 40 year career.

Great place for venues, but still undergoing renovations. The facility has adequate parking, and is surrounded by a beautiful park with lakes and streams with koi and goldfish. Great area to take a relaxing walk.

As always, I love watching the havoc. Convenient parking garage across the street, security is always quick and easy and decent food and drink options. I recommend checking them out

Mars music Hall is enjoyable. Good security that isn't over bearing, good beer selection, some cocktails. Sound could use a little improvement on occasion but some shows are better than others in that department.

They know how to stage a good metal set. Spiritbox was dope, Mastodon was killer (they played THE CZAR) then out comes ghost. Never seen them live before and never ventured too far into their discography. After that show, ya boi is a fan! GG VBC

This is a beautiful trail and a very nice place for families of all sizes and ages. The trail is short but breathtaking. I encourage you to check it out you won’t be disappointed.

Our second time there. Never disappoint. Great hike for people like us over 65 with grandchildren.🤗 Colors were changing but not peak, yet. Beautiful reflection on the pond and covered bridge has windows that frame the view to the pond. Will go back!!

This is a wonderful park with a beautiful walking trail around a picturesque lake. With the covered bridge, it is absolutely stunning! Restrooms are on site as well. Make note of the 4:30 closing signs.

Beautiful place and the trail is good of kids and older folks. Went up there a weekend with a couple friends, had some fun walking around on the trail. The covered bridge is also a nice place to get some good portrait photo taken. Highly recommend, especially during fall time when the leaves turning color.

The nature trail is as beautiful as ever, except for the atrocity of a subdivision being built directly behind the chapel. I'm grateful that my husband and I were able to exchange our vows there years ago, but it's disappointing to know that nobody else will be able to share their special day without a bunch of ugly houses in the background instead of the beautiful, thick forest that was once there.

This place is very neat, and has some nice walking trails, picnic areas, and a large pond for fishing. There are a few neat little fairy homes the kids will like, and the covered bridge is cool too. Don’t get excited to see the “moonshine still” as it’s just a hodgepodge of items trying to represent an old still, but it’s far from realistic. It’s a nice place to spend some time if you’re looking for things to do in the area.

Very peaceful and well-maintained trail. The main trail is gravel and wood chips, and very clearly marked as it goes around the water. There are several off-shoots if you would like a longer hike, or just keep going around the loop. Plenty of seating at the entrance with picnic tables, wooden chairs, and even a couple bench swings. You can go out on the little pier and enjoy the fresh air, and there are multiple points of interest as you go along the trail. Very dog-friendly with fresh water at the start. Make sure you pay attention to the time if you're there close to sunset, because they close the gate every night. They recently added signs throughout the loop to help inform hikers of this, although the hours have always been posted at the beginning. All-in-all, well worth the visit, and usually not too crowded, which is nice. We enjoy coming here with all of our family, including our dog and toddler as well as grandparents and great-grandma.

We absolutely love this trail! It's beautiful all year round and well maintained. There's beauty the entire way. There are picnic benches, swings, and places to stop and sit a spell if you get tired on the trail.

A beautiful lake and walking trail. The place is well kept and cared for. Highly recommend for hiking and bringing a picnic lunch. It has restrooms and plenty of seating and benches. Fishing is allowed for a small fee.

Jazz at the park was a family friendly event. Awesome music, good vibes and good times. Food trucks offer a variety of foods for purchase. Bring your own coolers. Weather was great.

It's a neat little downtown park. With its little waterways wide side walks surrounded by local shops restaurants and Museum. A nice little detour in your visit to downtown Huntsville. The tinsel Trail walk this year was outstanding the variety of decoration lights and trees made the evening walk around the park enjoyable. Regardless of Christmas time or not still worth a visit to Big Springs Park.

We love this park! It's beautiful! Would be 5 stars if there were bathrooms! I had to run my 4 year old up the stairs and all the way to Sam and Greg's. Although we did get some yummy gelato there.

This area is super nice very clean and if your trying to kill time or just need a good walk then do the whole water way from end to end we loved it and theres fish with fish food stands all about so bring quarters.. very relaxing bring ear buds and get lost

Went here to enjoy the tinsel trail. Over 300 trees! Well worth the evening visit. Go early to avoid the crowds!

This is actually a review for the Tinsel Trail that is held at Big Sprink Park each Christmas season. With COVID putting a damper on everything last year and Christmas coming up in just a few months, I thought people might want to see what they have to look forward to. This is really a great family event and the kids always have a great time. There are usually plenty of trees and they are always decorated in some really creative themes.

Loved all the Christmas trees and all the different ways and clever ideas for decorating them. It is definitely worth going and walking around and looking at all the trees.

The best park in Huntsville! The ambience is amazing. The spring water is very clean and there are so many cute duckies! Remember to take some quarters with you when you visit, there are dispensers that dispense fish/duck food. It's amazing to see the fishes swarming for food from the beautiful little red bridge that adds a pop of color to the green park. The Huntsville Museum of Art is right on the park and full of beautiful art. The library is also located nearby. The place is overall a very nice place for an evening stroll and meeting new people! (I met the love of my life here, so it's all the more special) 🥰

The view was amazing overlooking Huntsville. Was doing a self tour but started talking to a tour guide named Paul and a volunteer Nancy who turned the afternoon into such a remarkable and blessed visit. Highly recommend this place to go for anyone single, couples or families. The hands on experiences kids can receive and participate with each cabin was very impressive I will come back the next time I’m in AL.

Loved this historic mansion, its eclectic shape, the unconventionality of its owner, and the museum that is rich on the history of Monte Sano and the region. Very informative. There are hikes all around once you are done with the visit. Beautiful place too. Visited on November 27, 2021

This is a review for the Cocktails at the View event, which runs from May - October. The event is 5-8pm every Wednesday, and there is no admission charged. No outside food or drink are allowed, and snacks and drinks are available to purchase through the bars on the property. This is one of my absolute favorite events. The view is absolutely gorgeous, and the prices are not bad at all. The bars serve drinks such as wine, beer, and basic gin and tonic type cocktails, and there are little charcuterie boards and snack plates available as well. This is a great place to meet friends and hang out and enjoy the best view that Huntsville has to offer. I love the cocktails at the view event!

I had the pleasure of enjoying "Cocktails at the View" I had never been to this part of the mountain before, it is beautiful. The view is breathtaking. We lucked out as they had predicted rain, so not many people at all. They offer outdoor seating and covered seating for when it does rain.

We went for the Fire on the Mountain event and were incredibly disappointed. We had expected it to be a lively event with blacksmiths showing off their craft and the opportunity to eat the open flame food but instead we had the underwhelming experience of just watching a couple of blacksmiths heat and hammer some hot pieces of metal. The only thing I saw them make was a nail. We also thought we’d get to taste the open flame cooking but instead we watched them prepare food that no one was allowed to eat. For the amount visitors have to pay you’d think there’d be more to this place than the hodgepodge collection of old buildings from different original locations. Even the animals looked depressed. The only thing saving it from a 1-star rating is the view on the overlook. Don’t waste your time here or don’t show up with any high expectations.

Not something our kiddos were in to. More historical and museum. But the view. They let you walk over to see the overlook for free. Not sure of the admission, as the kids were not interested. But they were set up for a wedding. It was beautiful.

This is a MUST visit attraction if you’re in Huntsville! It’s not only a small mansion tour but there is so much to do and see for both adults & children. The history is fascinating as the backyard holds a school house, church, animal farm, garden, and wood cabins from the gold mining days! The staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed and you can tell they truly enjoy the work they do in preserving this place’s history! My favorite part of the visit was being able to literally step inside the old wooden cabins and seeing the antique furniture displays! Tickets: $12 for adults, $10 for seniors, military, teachers, & students, $8 for children ages 3-18, FREE for those under 2 yo

Had a nice date night at The View at Burritt on the Mountain. A lovely harpist played while we enjoyed out charcuterie board and wine with a view of Huntsville. Only on Wednesday nights and April -October.

Very beautiful historical site. There are several structures to see and explore. I definitely want to come back in the fall as there is a gorgeous view of Huntsville from the mountain! There are also hiking trails, but it's on a rather intense incline that might be difficult for some.

After a few visits to Burritt this wedding season, I can safely say that it's a tough venue to beat for a classic outdoor wedding.The locations available for a ceremony vary widely and are all close enough for an easy stroll to the main building. As a photographer that range of options for my clients is a real advantage. The on-site staff that I've had interactions with have always been attentive and helpful, so I definitely look forward to my next visit.

This place was so nice. A lot of places to shop, and I just had to visit Fat Tuesday's (since I'd never seen one before). Neon signs are my fav. Everyone deserves another shot. 💛 I recommend the blue razz.

One of my favorite place in AL! This place is incredible very well maintained very clean! Organized. We love walking around the pond, and I definitely love shopping here!!

This little piece of Venice is situated in Madison (Huntsville) AL with its man-made canal connected to a man-made lake that is dyed blue. Along the way it has a series of bridges that takes you to new shopping experiences from clothing to jewelry to restaurants, a cigar shop, a movie theater, ice cream, hotels and so much more. It is really a gem for this small city Andis simply beautiful.

Bridge Street Town Centre is a nice, safe, clean shopping area. It has a great variety of shopping, places to eat, parking, and areas to sit, visit, enjoy a treat. Most stores do not open until 10 am. This includes the public restrooms outside. I found the signage to be bit confusing as far as location of restrooms and certain store directions but other than those issues, I think you will enjoy your experience.

Lots of parking, plenty of shops and great eating joints. Cheesecake Factory and The Chocolate Crocodile my faves. Ulta is my guilty pleasure! Ask for Shelia and Rhonda they have been there since the place opened. They know everything!

first visit in June 2023 while we was in town, & this shopping center is very good. Attractive area, we felt safe walking around, all the shop we saw looked well maintained & inviting. Plenty of food shops as well. If we are every in the area again will stop in.

We really enjoyed our time here! I rode the train with my son, and grandson who is almost 3yrs. old. The lady who drove the train was sooo sweet and let my grandson ring the bell! I love Bridge Street. It has such a wide variety of stores, the movie theater, and lots of different options for restaurants and goodies. It’s very well-kept and a fun vibe. It’s good for all kinds of groups. A girls or guys night out, an after work place to hang out with colleagues, or bringing the whole family. Yet another great spot in Huntsville that fosters a sense of togetherness and community. My best friend and goddaughter’s and I all love visiting this place every time we’re in town.

Without a doubt, the best place in Huntsville to shop. I have been many times, but this time I was there to watch my daughter’s jazz band perform, by the big Christmas Tree. If you have not been, then I highly recommend you go. Pet friendly, and many places have dog treats and bowls sitting out front of their shops. It was close to Christmas, 2023, and they have all their Christmas decorations set up. Which, looks amazing. It is a beautiful place to see in the evening time, and you will enjoy yourself. I did, and I will be bring Puddin (my dog) back for a good walk, soon. She will love it. Though, she is huge and very vocal. So, I am excited to see how she does. Be sure to check out the carousel, located behind the store fronts, by the lake, close to the Weston. You can see a large rocket, sitting in the background, when you look across the lake. I love bridge Street. Needs to be a smoke free campus. Because a lot of people have asthma like I do. Keep Clair's, but they need her sister store iceing. Yes they can exist in the same place. I've seen it before, and they got along. A big fun house for kids of all ages, with a small food area. More restrooms please.

It is a nice open air shopping area, also you can have fun times with your family and friends…in the afternoons it is not crowded, the only crowded place is Apple Store…

Bridge Street Town Centre is one of my family's favorite spots! It's such a lovely place to walk around and shop. There are several restaurants to choose from. They're all pretty much really great. The atmosphere is beautiful. There are also several seating areas along the way if you need to stop and relax for a moment.

Great movie theater, a bit pricey but going to see movies has never been cheap... Overall Bridge Street is a beautiful place to do a little shopping or just enjoy the atmosphere. If visiting Huntsville definitely check it out, has some great restaurants as well.

A really good area to walk with the family walk by yourself or walk with your significant other. There are a lot of different things there you can get into from restaurants to shopping to movies theaters. I like this type of a platform versus being inside of building all day long here you can go in and out explore a good way to meet the locals in the area. Also for the kids there's a little train that goes around in the area they can get on and it pulls them around which is really good. A lot of good deals and a great place to take pictures. So if you ever in the Huntsville Alabama area this is one of the areas I highly suggest.

There were a lot of shops closed but this place is amazing if you are an arts and crafts person. I really liked the guitar shop. The owner was slightly obtuse but the employees made up for his lacking. They have a brewery, or should I say a whiskey still where burbon is made and lots of jewelry and art type stores. I look forward to going again.

LOVE this place. Wonderful old industrial mill building that has been repurposed for art. It has been carefully designed so people can walk around inside the perimeter and see through large windows into each of the different artist studios. There is wide variation in the crafts here. Most are for sale, and some spaces have classes or allow you to make things. Painting, jewelry, sewing, mixed media, photography, others. There is even a shop where tshirts are designed in house, and screen-printing is done by hand. We were delighted by the kitty antics through the windows at a cat adoption spot. Most of the action is on the first floor, but there are 2 upper floors as well. The elevator is in a transitional period so may be temporarily out of order. There are a couple restaurants on the main floor, and some seating out in the common area. The small pizza shop served us some of the best pizza we have ever tried. Highly recommend a trip to Lowe Mill! We will be back.

This is such a unique and cool place in Huntsville! There is EVERYTHING in this building from a cat adoption agency, to people selling plants, artists, music shops, pottery lessons, and restaurants! You have to check this place out if you’re in Huntsville!

EVENT REVIEW: I was SO glad to finally have an event at Lowe Mill, I've been dying to host a party in their outdoor Railroad Space for years. Man, what a birthday party!! The staff was friendly and accommodating! Setup and breakdown were smooth, signage would be great for guests to see better at night but that didn't stop the show!

I sell here on the weekends and the people here are so helpful and kind. Make sure to bring a water bottle though because it gets so hot in the summer! I recommend dragon forge and the swings!

Wow... Just wow... So much art, so much fun.. this place is endless. It's like art heaven. You will not see anything like it anywhere else. It's free to roam and look at everything, but bring lots of money because you will definitely find something to buy. Think of a flea market meets a mall meets meow wolf. Wow... Just wow.

Lowe Mill is a great location, filled with talented people! Even when you think you've seen it all, they bring in new artists with even more to offer. Everyone is so friendly and they have tons of events throughout the year. Get your family out the house and go take a tour soon!

This is one of the most unique locations I've ever visited. It has a beautiful variety of art. Its kid friendly, full of activities, has delicious food. I love this place and can't wait to go back!!

Plenty of family friendly art studios, hobby shops, and even a cat cafe. Definitely try the Dungeons and Dragons themed Cafe, or the Popsicle Bar. If you have a gamer in the family, drop them off at the all day arcade cabinet.

Initially came here on accident when I was just trying to get to the coffee shop that was inside. Ended up being a lot more than I bargained for and really enjoyed walking around and admiring all of the different art.

I think this is a great place to walk around & enjoy the shops. There is a lot going on there. There are artist studios, craft shops that you can make things in, a shop where they make guitars out of cigar boxes & they teach you how to play. There is a shop with kittens, you can reserve time to spend with them. Lots more. It's a nice place to take your out of town company or if you are from out of town to explore yourself.

Lowe Mill is one of the most incredible places to visit anywhere in the South. There's no other place that values art and artists the way the Mill does. It's free to walk around and you can buy beautiful items from wildly gifted creators. There's excellent food, both at the international cafe, a pizza place, and Chef Will's food truck. Parking is free and the entire venue feels extremely safe. You can also recycle on the spot there. They have stations to leave items. I can't rave enough about this place.

This place is a huge building full of all kinds of art, some interesting shops, a cattery, distillery, meadery, a theater, and a sprinkling of restaurants. I've been here a few times now and find it a bit confusing getting around, but have found some treasures throughout. By far my 2 favorites are Pizelles's chocolates and Iron One distillery. The Machete coffee at Pizelles's is worth a trip there and the Old Fashioned that Jeff Irons makes. Another favorite is watching the cats at the cattery. You can make an appointment to go in and visit these furry friends too! A fun find on a recent trip is the cigar box guitar store where you can buy a small cigar box guitar and even take lessons. The owners are very nice, personable, and enthusiastic about what they do. My biggest issue here is that there doesn't appear to be any logic or cohesion to the layout, or maybe it's just me. It seems like many shops are closed or not open for retail. It would feel more cohesive to have the vendors that are open for retail together, as well as the food and drinks closer to the places that are mire retail oriented. There is a lot of walking around past places that didn't seem available to the public. And those weird hours!

As an artist 🎨 I absolutely loved this place. Art in all forms, everywhere you turn. I absolutely loved it and was inspired to create afterwards. I even got the opportunity to speak with one the artist there, hear her fascinating story, and get an interview. I was left with a few spiritual gems and advice that I will always cherish. Kars Char BBQ Sorry about the images but the food was so good I could just give you pictures of empty pladders If you're used to barbecue and have had barbecue often and lake BBQ you need to go to cars jar in the Lowe Mill. Really really moist and delicious brisket pulled pork and including chicken and these guys are awesome. Out of all the reviews I have done over anything this is the first review I am posting images of empty plates. My family raved over the vinegar slaw and also the meat was so tender it was fall off the bone you have to try this this is something probably you don't really get to experience in a way where these guys from Texas by the way the owner is smokes with a blend of mesquite and really really gets a good flavor that doesn't overpower the main course. If I had to say that this place was summer I would return I would go there whenever I'm in the area because it was I really don't like barbecue in the first place because it seems so small kind of narrow type food that this was succulent and fall off the bone although they don't serve the bone that I know but it's awesome. Go try it!

Very interesting place to support local businesses and artist. Has a large variety of different shops and also activities. Furthermore they do have a few food establishments as well such as pizza. My biggest complaint would be that the elevators are not working which resulted in us not being able to see the other floors.

The folks who work here are lovely! They took the time to answer all of my questions and gave me some recommendations for local places. There were a lot of pamphlets for local travel/attractions and several displays with some fun facts about Huntsville. They also have coupons for discounts on local attractions and you can purchase some Huntsville themed swag. Highly recommend stopping here before you visit any museums etc.

I went here to get a physical map of the area. I got much more. This center is beautiful and and sparkling clean. It looks more like a small museum, with many exhibits about famous people, historical events, and attractions from and around Huntsville. I got individual attention from friendly employees who were knowledgeable and willing to highlight the maps to find things I inquired about. I learned a new thing. I was told the bus route map is actually a very good way to locate things and learn the lay of the land. It was a comforting and supportive experience for a weary mover

This was our first visit to Huntsville and we stopped in to get some information about what to see and do. It was a great decision! The staff were very helpful and friendly and gave us some great suggestions. They also have a fun picture area in the back and it will email you a photo with different backgrounds of places in Huntsville. We spent maybe 10 minutes taking photos. I recommend you stopping in here and checking it out. Also they have discount coupons for the Space and Rockect Center!

I'd give this a definite 5 plus. We were greeted immediately with a warm smile and shown what materials were available. There are hundreds of pamphlets, brochures, local entertainment guides. The only thing they didn't have was a street map of Huntsville. The city doesn't print them anymore. The people working there are very friendly and knowledgeable and took the time to get to know us and chat about our interests, making suggestions about different places to go and things to do. We enjoyed talking to them and left with an entire bag full of interesting material to look over.

Indoor, sit down service was great. Brooklyn took great care of us. The mango habanero wings were good and the fries were even better. Sat out back for an event. Patio is conveniently located next to Butler Green with a bar and seating under the pavilion and picnic tables in the grassy area. Unless you're sitting at the bar, you have to order at the right-hand side of the bar top (there are signs). That's next to where the flatware and napkins are which is convenient if you know to grab some when you're ordering, but if you don't (because they don't bring either when they bring you your food) you'll be fighting the line to grab some. ** grab your flatware and napkins from the bar when you order*** Bartenders were excellent, friendly, efficient. The food delivery could be better. There's no signs, receipts, table numbers, names, or any useful indicator where the food should be delivered to in the grass, so it's understandable why the food delivery person would be frustrated and cranky. The barbacoa tacos were small, and the barbacoa was dry and not particularly flavorful. The spicy slaw was oily and unpleasant to eat, I did not finish it. My friends had wings and burgers with fries and they had larger portions and seemed pleased with their food.

So, Straight to Ale restaurant is great. Great service, great eats, and great atmosphere. However, their “speakeasy”, was unimpressive. Requested an old fashioned with buffalo trace. They Don’t have it. They only use their house whiskey. Needless to say, it was the worst old fashioned I’ve Ever had. I was really looking forward to this place but was quite disappointed.

Had family come from California & had been looking forward to taking them to Straight to Ale. First off the service was lame. Our server, she kept talking in long conversations with a guy who worked the t shirt booth. I actually had to interrupt them since she was talking so long & I had a question & an app order. It took forever for her to get us, get our drinks, get our food, get our check. She was friendly enough but not too good at the server part of it all. We had wings, the street tacos, and a big ol burger from them. I had also got the fried pickles I interrupted them for, but with the food, not before. The fried pickles were so dry I didn’t eat but 3. The street tacos, the barbacoa ones, the meat was dryer than the pickles. The salad was so small compared to the price of the whole meal. It was good though. The burger my husband said was jumping. My son didn’t like the wings, I tasted them, they were not good. The spice is wrong to me. We also had my family’s meal, a pizza and a potato dish, they were ok. We paid $100 for that, about $12 bucks a person. My husband & brother also had a draft they enjoyed. I probably won’t be back due to the service, but my husband still will go.

Updated after 3rd visit. We loved our 1st time. The 2nd visit we sat at the bar & our food took nearly an hour to be brought out so we thought it was an off night. The 3rd visit will be our last after lackluster food & service. We weren’t given silverware or napkins when seated or with appetizer. We had to ask after food was delivered. Pretzel/ awesome. Beer cheese/ lukewarm. Burger & fries/good. Korean ribs/dry, minimal sauce, & not the best. Salad/all the hard stem pieces with too much onion on top & pre packaged dressing. Restaurant wasn’t full but our drinks were empty, we couldn’t find our waitress for a while, & after we finished, an additional 20 min wait to find someone for the bill. I rarely say that was just a total miss, but our dinner for sure was.

Unfortunately, it was more like a 3.5 stars for me. Positives- wings and bacon wrapped pretzels are good, server was great, seating available inside and outside. Negatives- ribs were salty, salad is plain, cocktails are sweet and not that tasty. Beers are pretty heavy too. Nice location and outside space is fun, but for me drinks are not as good as other places in the area.

Nice brewery with an indoor and outdoor area. Not too many options for non ipa drinkers and the dry cider wasn't great. Food was pretty solid though.

Not ashamed to say we basically spent our whole day here lol. We lucked out that they do free tours on certain days, and we just so happened to be there only a few hours prior so we enjoyed their wonderful food and tasted quite a few beers before attending that tour. It was quite informative and lasted a long time, I always love to see what goes into the creation of tasty drinks! Then we wandered into their speakeasy and had a cocktail there before shuffling on to the other places we had planned to visit originally. I love how they repurposed so much of the school to craft their brewery, it makes it special. None of the beers we tried were anything less than stellar. I so wish we lived closer!

I give it a 4.7. Food is always good. The menu will change from time to time, which shows me that they have some creativity in the kitchen. Service is great and plenty of drink selections.

So sad the museum closed the gift shop at 4:40 we walked through exhibits and kids couldn’t shop they closed so early before the museum closed so sad . The art was beautiful so that was nice , worth seeing if your in town .

This is a gorgeous museum! It took us about 2-3 hours with us taking our time to view it. There is a huge variety of paintings and multimedia art pieces including unique items like quilts! A definite must go.

Went on a Sunday, it was not crowded at all (which was great) and I loved the workers; very nice! & the museum itself. Soothing and calming. loved every art piece. They were phenomenal and very creative of course. A lot of interesting arts, it really makes you wander.

Nice museum to visit w different exhibits during the year. My favorite visit was around the year 2000 when they hosted a traveling Holocaust exhibit. The presentation was great. I visited recently again on July 4th and enjoyed it. It was odd that they had a surprising number of security staff and I noted a few times they instructed ppl to stay back from exhibits. It seemed odd and I noticed the visitors didn’t seem to be touching the exhibit or causing any disturbance. Maybe someone signed in as Nicholas Cage and they thought a theft may be occurring?? In all seriousness, the security seemed unwarranted. On Monday evenings in the summer, they host public concerts on the open lawn. Arrive an hour or more early to get a close seat under a tree. Bring a blanket, chairs, picnic basket or buy food from the mobile food vendors. Annual memberships aren’t too expensive and they offer free visit days, plus $5 after 5:00 days.

Probably on my list of top 3 museums I’ve ever been. I realize that north Alabama is quite different from south Alabama in the eyes of the people living there but to an outsider it’s quite the same just less action and more civil. Anyway to see a black woman artist have her own gallery about weave, wigs and barrettes, I know made the ancestors smile. That exhibit really moved me as a black woman. Then to see the YAM 2021 galleries where all of those kids were featured was amazing. So many of those kids have talent I can’t even imagine to have had at that age. I’d also really like to buy one of the pieces. The rest of the museum was also quite breathe taking. Very glad I got to go. The gift shop was down though and was only accepting cash so I couldn’t shop there.

My first tip is stop at the Huntsville Visitor Center and grab your 20% off coupon then make sure you visit this museum. The hand cut paper, tires, and metals were the big draw for me. They were absolutely stunning. There was plenty of street parking and terrific cafes nearby. The staff are friendly but the museum is a little warm inside so layer. No food or drink are allowed inside.

Very scenic and peaceful. We enjoy going downtown and walking around this area.

This was a great experience. Our tour guide, Paige, was excellent. Not only was she knowledgeable, but she was fun too. My nine year old daughter was impressed and said she likes learning like this. Take the whole family, you will enjoy it.

Such a beautiful and quiet setting... There are several different areas that are perfect for photos and it is so nice in the spring with all the pretty flowers and lovely landscaping!

I went in a 4th grade field trip from Danville Elementary in 1983. I loved it but I have loved history all my life, (even at 10 years old).

I went during the Holiday Lantern tours at Christmas. I learned so much and the guides were very knowledgeable about their portion of the tour. I particularly loved the carpentry, blacksmithing, and printing press areas. The craftsmanship of that period is astounding even today.

The field trip to Constitution Village was very informative and kept the kids' attention. They especially enjoyed learning about blacksmithing.

The place is small but the staff are friendly and knowledgeable and we learned a ton! They were very patient with my young children as well. Also the tea shop was adorable, delicious, friendly, etc. That was lovely to have while we waited for our tour to begin!

Piper & Leaf shop is the best part. Historical, but very minimal and feels a little hollow. I am biased bc I remember this as Constitution Village, and it was an incredible experience - especially during Folk Life!

Wow, a really great visit here with the family. Every part of this museum is engaging and there are so many neat things for kids to touch and learn about. We really enjoyed the visit, thought the cost was quite reasonable, and could recommend to others!

We came to Huntsville for a visit and this was one of the places we stopped by to entertain the kids. So glad we did! They loved it. Tickets were very reasonable as well, kids 2 and under are free. Lots of activities for everyone, even adults. They also had story times in the gift shop. Stroller friendly, and lots of seating areas. Bathrooms were clean and employees were friendly. Would take them back if we’re in the area again!

Had my daughters 6th Birthday party here and it was the absolute best. They have people there to help. The walls of the party room is painted beautifully, its painted in a woodland theme with a cute wood thrown for the birthday kid to sit on. The party room is big and spacious. The museum time was fun. All the kids had a great time and the staff is excellent.

It is a wonderful place for younger kids. The Children's Museum Hosts lots of special fun and exciting activities. Knowledge Learning Tinker Lab offers kids a variety of space , science, and education learning. Closed on Monday and call ahead for special information and school rates. Also, a fabulous upstairs children's birthday party and classroom eating area. They also oversee the Historic Constitution Hall located just across the street...

Our family enjoyed the EarlyWorks Children's Museum so much that we signed up for a year membership after our first visit! I love the atmosphere of this museum that gives children the freedom to explore in so many ways, activating their mind, senses, and emotions, while also relieving some of that pent up energy! No need to be "museum quiet" as children are encouraged to ask questions and talk with one another while enjoying each section and exhibit. The museum is the perfect size, small enough not to get lost but big enough to not get bored with all there is to offer. There are static exhibits and ones that change over the year. There are eating areas, bathrooms with changing areas, areas to sit and relax, and lots of walking pathways. There is something for everyone, from crawling babies to school aged children. Even the adults feel the freedom to be a "kid again" as they help their children build, experiment, and create. I highly recommend checking this museum out, rain or shine, you will enjoy it!

We had our son's 5th Birthday Party here. The staff were really nice we had a large space and we could explore after the party. The children did experiments which was fun! We want to go again to explore!!💜💜

Awesome!!!!! First want to note that I saw manyyyy workers cleaning and sanitizing after children were *just playing* with those toys. I was impressed w the cleanliness and overall, this place can keep your kid entertained for hours. Everything is made with kids and learning in mind. If you haven’t taken your kids, don’t walk, run!

Such an easy, fun place to stay for a little or long while! Both my older and younger children love it! And the pop up events they do are always a nice change-up! It's a fantastic way to beat the heat, kill time, and get my kids away from the screens! It's a good blend of history, creativity, engagement, and fun! The family membership pays for itself very quickly, and it gives us discounts on tickets for when friends and family visit. Love it!

We went for the first time and had so much fun! This weekend was Harry Potter exhibit and they put so much detail into everything! Everywhere we turned was something new and different. My 5yo had a absolute blast exploring and learning new things. It was exciting too as a adult to see all the different stations and have a opportunity to play and learn along with my children. This place is now apart of our summer plans and will be returning many times! Thanks so much for all yall do.

I visited EarlyWorks today for the first time. I was there with my two young niece's. It's a wonderful museum, full of Alabama history and fun activities for children of all ages to do. They have a story time and a lab time for the children to participate in as well. I'm not sure if it's a daily thing, but even if it's not it's totally worth going. It's also a place you'd want to visit more than once.

Lots of hands on activities for the children. Staff was great. Lots of fun. I would monitor field trips during school days. Lots of schools go there and it can be pretty packed with kids.
