We visited the Lotz House this week during the Christmas/New Year Break. Our tour guide was Thomas and he was fantastic. Trust me, this tour is worth it and if you’re lucky enough to get Thomas as your guide, you will have a great, educational and entertaining visit.

Definitely different than any other guided tour we've taken. Chuck was great, he made it fun for everyone. He was engaged with his audience and made it personable for all, we were in a larger crowd too-5 or 6 different parties, around 12 to 15 people total. Very impressed.

Great experience. Our tour guide was JT and his knowledge of the original owners of the home plus knowledge of the history surrounding them and the battle was incredible. He is very animated with his telling of the history which makes you feel like you were actually there when battle happened. Well worth the trip!

Great tour for the history buffs and those that enjoy viewing historic buildings! Tour guide was hilarious and very knowledgeable about the surrounding civil war battles (could point out where your state's regiments were off the top of his head) and what happened to the family living in the house. Beautiful period furniture and wallpapers make you feel as if you stepped back in time.

Truly awesome tour! I've taken both the Ghost Tour and the regular day time tour. The Ghost Tour is on Saturday nights after normal hours. For this you need to get your tickets in advance but it is worth it! Our guide Kelly was very knowledgeable about the Ghost that occupy the home. She shared stories, photos, video and recording of paranormal events. A couple of weeks later I went back for the history tour which is during the day. Our guide Chuck was so good and had so much knowledge and history to share. I learned so much about the Lotz family from the tour,if you're in the Franklin/Nashville area you should try to take the time for the tour you will be grateful you did

We did the haunted tour. Was pretty amazing. Some of us on the tour even smelled cigar smoke! Our guide/host was the best!

3 stars because We got stuck with Kelly. The history of the Lotz house and the house itself was great. Our experience not so much. From the beginning with just paying for our tickets she was smiley and bubbling but also passive aggressive in her tone and wording. We saw one price oone but she was telling us a different price. We had our children with us who are big into history and do so well at these types of events. We visit a lot of houses/museums and never had an issue. They asked her a few questions. It seemed to have been a bother to her. She was so passive aggressive it was almost unbearable. Even other adults on the tour couldn’t believe how she responded. She told other people in the tour not to touch or lean on anything even against a solid wall (which we get) but yet she leaned on wall after wall as she talked. As an adult I asked her a question which I turn she gave a very passive aggressive and stupid answer to a question I didn’t ask. Had she listened and heard what I was asking, there would have been no need for her comments. If it was not for the “all sales final, we would have asked for a refund and left.” She also kept putting her hands on my kids and touching them. So weird for never having met them. We overheard the other tour going on and that gentleman was fantastic. He also chatted with us before and after and was so great! If you go, I would ask for the make tour guide. Especially if you have children.

The gift shop person and the 2 guides we met were very accommodating and friendly. We enjoyed our tour and really appreciated all the beautiful antiques. The Lotz family history was interesting to hear.

Our tour guide was not only very informative, but also made it fun. There was a lot of very cool stories and artifacts there.

We visited the Lotz House on 3-17-24. Our tour guide was Kelly. She was awesome. Both my grandkids, 11 and 8 loved it. Kelly answered their questions and told stories that they could understand. My granddaughter said Kelly was so good and loved her.

Chuck our guide was great. He painted a picture so real it was like we were there. We want to go back again on our next visit to TN.

This evening my 13 year old daughter and I took the Women’s History Tour at the amazing Lotz House. I’ve been on Kelly’s day time tour of the home before, so I knew it would be great, but I was absolutely blown away by the evening tour! She is incredibly knowledgeable and easily brought to life some incredible women of Franklin, as well as a few others who weren’t from the area, but have had a great impact on our country. I really appreciated how she talked about the seemingly mundane aspects of life that relate to all of us today, to sharing some of the fantastic stories that were these women’s’ lives and experiences! On the way home, my daughter couldn’t stop talking about what she learned and how much she enjoyed the tour-and coming from a teenager, I think that alone speaks volumes! I grew up in Franklin and tonight Kelly gave me a new appreciation and love for my hometown. So thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us this evening, Kelly, and I sure hope this tour is an opportunity that more people will take advantage of, whether they live in the area or are visiting!

JT was an amazing tour guide! I walked away really having an appreciation for the history and his historical knowledge! I give this tour an A+++! If you're in Tennessee tell your Uber driver to drive you to Franklin for the Lotz House tour. You will not be disappointed! They also have a small bit impressive Civil War gift shop! I can't wait to return!

Very cool historical site. My parents and I went with my 11 month old twins for the basic tour. It was $18 a person. There were several other people there and I had to carry the babies because no strollers or anything are allowed in the house due to all the antique furniture and stuff in there. I only got to see two rooms before I had to leave and give the babies a snack. The rooms were beautiful and all period correct with actual belongings from the house loaned by family members. The tour guide was very informative, my parents said upstairs and downstairs was really neat. I missed most of the tour but one of the employees was really sweet and gave me a little booklet thing so I could read and look at pictures of what I missed. If you pay for the basic tour you can still walk the grounds to see the garden, slave house, smoke house, spring house etc by yourself. The ground was hilly and bumpy so I wouldn't recommend pushing a stroller on it. Everything is maintained well and there are several signs explaining what things are. Right next door is the Confederate and McGavock family cemetery (including some of the slaves). The cemetery has several signs with information about it. Pretty sad past but very interesting. There's also a gift shop there where you buy your tour ticket. I wouldn't suggest bringing any small children here because they will be bored and it will be a struggle keeping them from touching things. Anyone handicapped would have a hard time you with all the standing and steep stairs to go upstairs plus all the walking outside. They have bathrooms right by the gift shop that were mostly clean.

Amazing historic house tied to the Battle of Franklin. Emily, our guide, was incredible, sharing stories. This house served as a hospital during the battle; you can still spot some of the scars! Be sure to explore the grounds, read the markers—such a captivating tale! Imagine, 40,000 soldiers surrounded this family home during the battle. In just five hours, 9,500 soldiers on both sides were affected—mind-blowing stats! Don't miss learning about the cemetery's history. Very clean bathrooms. Bet the gardens look amazing in the spring/summer!

Had such a great time on this tour of the Carnton Plantation. Our guide Carrie was extraordinary and did such a great job telling the story behind it all. Be sure to walk the grounds and visit the outbuildings and cemetery. A must see while in Franklin!

We walked the grounds and read the markers. Such a fascinating story. This family home was surrounded by 40,000 soldiers during the Battle of Franklin. After just five hours 9,500 American soldiers on both sides had either been killed, were wounded or were missing. The numbers are staggering. Be sure to read about the women of the area, including Sarah Gaunt and learn about the history of the cemetery. Clean bathrooms. The grounds were stroller and walker friendly. Gardens must be beautiful in the spring/summer.

We did the plantation and battlefield tour and it was very interesting and informative. Our tour guide was Joseph and he did a fabulous job on taking a trip back in time and our group wasn’t very big but we marched a very short distance in linear formation across a small area of the battlefield and he was describing the tense moments being under a artillery barrage and me and my fiancée loved it. We will return again, great experience very polite staff in the gift shop and Joseph rocked!!!

I cannot say enough good things about Hannah Jacobs and the girls at Carnton weddings and events. Phenomenal staff and planner. Hannah is accommodating, kind, gets the job done without asking anything (she just takes action and handles all situations and problems effortlessly taking stress off couples getting married.) One of the best experiences I have had at a venue while being the wedding photographer. I absolutely loved getting to photograph and be apart of the vendor team of Carnton for our couple's day. Such a fun group of people who are ready to make wedding day dreams come true. I would recommend not only Carnton but Hannah to ALL of my clients. She is a wonderful person and wedding planner and so organized.

Visiting this mansion was a great experience. Our guide was extremely prepared about the family and history and was so engaging. Lots of the furniture present in the house were retrieved back from the original family. The story of the battle adds an extra layer to the visit. Totally recommend it

Great tour guide. Much more laid back experience than other museums in the area where the list of “don’t do’s” bordered on ridiculous.

We chose the guided tour. By chance, our guide was Christian. I have never been on a tour that had a more knowledgeable guide! His love for this place was evident and he spoke with such compassion for those that lived and died on this site. It was wonderful!

WONDERFUL! Our guide, Sheila, not only knew lots of facts and history, but she weaved in the personal stories, too. She really helped me understand the battle here and the family’s role. The home has been restored in a beautiful manner. Wide open grounds to explore with markers around. Be sure to check out the cemetery and walk through the garden. It saves a few dollars to buy the combination ticket for here and Carter House nearby. Both worth a visit.

Excellent experience. Great tour. Interesting and informative. I learned some things. I won’t share all and I’ll let you experience this new knowledge yourself but do you know that Canton Plantation isn’t really a plantation, it’s a {blank}. What makes it {blank} is that instead of one cash crop it had more than one. Which ones? Well you better go find out.

Beautiful place, just don't ask the tour guide any questions. It's basically a quiet, guided tour where you listen. No interaction. The historical tour was rushed. I think if you pay this much money to go on a guided tour, your tour guide should know or be willing to answer questions at the end of her rehearsed script that they are reciting as we enter in each room. There should be a little bit of time for discussion or questions instead of feeling rushed from room to room. There are so many artifacts in every room that there's no time to actually look at them all because they only point out a certain few, and you're moving along. There wasn't a bunch of people waiting in line for a tour so we didn't need to rush. We bought the ticket package so hopefully the Carter house will be better.

We had a wonderful tour today of the house and grounds. Our tour guide was excellent. He was so informed and engaging. The group on our tour asked many questions from quizzical children to inspiring adults. We also enjoyed the book store. It provided a balanced approach in its offerings and quality. Thank you so much. Fascinating! If there was anything that I would add would be to give slaves their due by mentioning the quality of workmanship when building the house.

What an outstanding tour guide! I wish I had gotten his name, but the gentleman that hosted our tour was an amazing story teller and clearly enjoyed history. The house and grounds are outstanding as well. Having just come off a rushed and non-interactive tour of the Hermitage, we sure appreciated this place! If you’ve got to choose between the two for some reason, come here.

My husband and I planned to visit while on our honeymoon. They were quick with their response time and very accommodating. They even offered the ‘Amazing Grace’ tour to us on a day it is not scheduled. Our tour guide was well versed and knowledgeable. Beautiful and kept property. Friendly staff. Would highly recommend!

This is a great little gem tucked into Franklin. It’s a rather simple tour, but the tour guide (Sheila) made the specific battle story come alive. She knew her history, explained it with clarity, connected with her group, and made it a memorable experience. I would suggest going here first before stopping at the Carnton Plantation.

Wonderful! We visited the Lotz House across the street and decided to come here too! The guide was wonderful and informative. We have purchased tickets to the other Battle of Franklin Homes as well.

The tour itself was cool, but our tour guide made the experience! She reached in and gave you such a heartfelt experience, not just a tour. Believe me when I say Kristie was the perfect person to show us the emotion behind it all! I will never look at the war the same. She showed us through their eyes! Thank You for loving what you do and the people you talk about!

The tour was $20 and incredibly informative (it started at 2:15pm and took at least an hour), lots of dates, names and details. Great tour guide who really cares about accuracy over embellishment, much appreciated! As posted, pictures were not allowed inside the Carter House but we took several photos of the grounds and exteriors of buildings. The home is going to have some paint work done in the near future to more closely match colors of that timeline. Walking in the basement was neat, they had chairs lined up around the perimeter for each person that had been documented as taking shelter there (including the Lotz family from across the street), so that was a heck of a visual.

We stopped in Franklin and saw the battle ground at Carter House, an amazing part of our American History. We stopped in town and look at some buildings too. So much to see and not enough time, be sure to visit St. Paul's in downtown.

Our Guide Randy was very personable and really could convey the events with the gift of storytelling. The fact so much of the Carter family's personal belongings were still there was amazing.

An interesting immersion of what it would have been like to be present during the battle at the house during the war. Wonderful house and a great lawn to walk and see depiction of what was happening before and during the battle.

Nice house and out buildings. Guide focused on distorted facts and personal opinion rather than actual historical facts. No chairs or benches in basement area.

The grounds are filled with history you won't see anywhere else. Our tour guide was Randy. He made the events of November 30th come alive and shared how the history of this battle affected more modern history. I highly recommend a visit to Carter House.

Excellent guided battlefield walk and tour of the Carter family house. It was explained well so that we could understand how the armies moved and the outcome decided.

Amazing, yet sad piece of history - great tour. Study a little bit on the Battle of Franklin before visiting. Make sure to walk the grounds and read the markers. One of the most interesting artifacts in the house is the sugar chest (Google it)

A beautiful historic house on a very tragic piece of land. Caught between the Union and Confederates fighting for Franklin. You can still see the bullet holes and the cannon ball that struck the house and the work office. Very haunting. The tour was very good and I enjoyed it. Downfall is you're not allowed to take pictures inside the house.

Bill is a fabulous tour guide. This was interesting and just the right amount of time. Summer is a great time to come to avoid school field trips. We did the 930AM tour as they opened and it was perfect to beat the July heat!

Cool to see, but they tell a revisionist version of the history that includes some pretty funny outright lies. As an example they’ll tell you there were no black confederate soldiers, despite pictures of and monuments to them existing. Soon they’ll probably start telling people the burning of Atlanta was a myth too. If you have to choose go to Elm Springs in Columbia, a short drive south from there

Neat ambiance and vibe. Fun place to shop with a few restaurants. They have a new owner that will be adding new vendors, stores and restaurants. Try the 100 layer donut here and then tacos at Mojos Tacos.

This place was pretty cool. Definitely packed on a Saturday afternoon with the farmers market and all. Glad to see they repurposed this old factory with the shops. From other pictures and reviews, looks like I missed the history of the location. It would be nice if there was more information inside the factory explaining the history.

The Factory at Franklin is a great place for food, shopping, and entertainment. There are some unique gift shops and restaurants located inside with choices that include tacos, ramen, and ice cream. Also on site is an entertainment venue offering shows and live music.

Honest coffee roasters, mojos tacos, and Franklin juice are always worth a visit. Get someone you love some flowers at Amelia’s too!

Great concept! Perfect for shopping and dining. We stopped by during the week and it wasn’t busy at all. We enjoyed walking around and seeing all the shops.

Very unique! Great place for all ages with plenty to see and eat. They're continually adding more to this place so it's definitely worth checking out multiple times!

We absolutely love The Factory at Franklin! It has so much to offer. Great Shops! Amazing Events! We attended The Chocolate Wine & Whiskey Festival and had a blast!

This is an interesting little find. Hand made items - including clothing, art, paintings, jewelry and food! Sue Marshall Art was a real stand out to me. This small shop was full of creative and unique designs that cannot be found anywhere else. Overall, this "mall" was the highlight of my last day in Tennessee and I wish I had more time to spend here. Will definitely stop again next time I come through.

Nice, historical, cute shops including a cronut store, nice clean bathrooms, huge space… lots of seating for the family and friends. And a pottery place to do arts and crafts as a group or individually. Plenty of parking.

I've been here a handful of times, doesn't disappoint. First time at the Mockingbird Theater, building #6. Saw a favorite musician, Peter Mayer, and a host of other talent sharing the stage. What a treat! I look forward to the next event at this intimate venue and visiting one of the many other attractions. This place offers a variety of awesome things, check it out! 👏🏼

This is a super cool concept for a mall sort of place! They’ve got lots of super cool shops and restaurants here as well as room for venues. The place is well kept for the most part. There are some places that are still under construction or just not open at all. Overall though this place is really cool and I’d definitely recommend checking this place out.

Lots of fun things to see and do here. Originally built as a factory, this has been converted to a retail space that still retains the industrial look and feel. Plenty of boutique shops with product offerings ranging from clothing and paintings to a barbershop/bar. In the entryway is an island bar that sells wonderfully crafted cocktails. There’s even a store that sells candy cigarettes!

This place is a MUST SEE if you are in the Franklin area! It's such a unique place filled with a ton of great small businesses! We walked the Factory after visiting the Farmers Market on Saturday morning. It is great to see an old structure being renovated into something modern while keeping the history alive. There are so many unique and creative small businesses here and at the market. Don't pass up an opportunity to visit here and support local businesses!!

Really enjoyed the varied shops at The Factory. Great selection of collectibles and crafts. Food choices seemed awesome. We had ice cream cones, and they were very tasty.

Seems like a pretty cool venue for a bunch of different things. Nice place to walk around. Lots of shops and restaurants etc.

It was a fun place. The stores were ok. Not a huge selection and everything was significantly overpriced. The Taco shop inside was phenomenal. Excellent selection with fantastic flavors. The donut shop had very tasty pastries. It’s worth taking two hrs of your day to walk through and see everything. There were alot of new restaurants and shops being built.

Amazing and cozy place, you can spend an hours walking around the different shops. The ambience is very pleasant. Restaurants are great, lots of different cuisine available.

The Factory is definitely a cool place to take visitors to the Franklin area. The shops have some great home goods and apparel, and the whole campus is way more fun to stroll through than the mall in cool springs. It gets busy during the more touristy season, but going right after lunch can make it a little easier to find parking.

It's a great park. Very beautiful with lovely paths to walk on that are well maintained and also not too long. You feel surprisingly remote considering there is a target parking lot next door. Great place to walk you dog too but only on a leash of course.

Very neat park! I didn't know Franklin had such a strategic battle here in the Civil War. We actually met a man here who gave us alot of information on the times and the battle. He knew his stuff! I'm pretty sure he was a 'daughter of the __________' who took care of the park! The map at the top of the stairs is something to see. It is hard for me to imagine HOW the terrain, the times, the killing that went on here transpired!!! So sad.

Great little park; lots of history to study. First stop if you are doing a tour of the Franklin battle. I'm disappointed that all the trees block the view of downtown Franklin. It would be nice if they were trimmed down so that you could see Franklin (not Tractor Supply or Target), but enough to get a good perspective. Same problem on the other end, you can't look back from the Carter House area towards Winstead Hill. Love what's being done on the Eastern Flank. Need to spend at least 3-4 hours to see everything, but you can see all the major points in less than an hour, as long as you're needing reading, or going inside the buildings. Great job by the Franklin Trust!

This is a great dog- friendly park. There are restrooms, a water fountain, paved trails, and doggie bags to clean up after your pet. This historical site provides information on the Battle of Franklin, has memorial stones for the troops and generals of the Confederacy, and has the observation lookout over the entire Battle of Franklin area. The 3/4 mile paved trail loops below the observation lookout and winds through beautiful wooded areas and across streams.

My family and I enjoyed the beautiful scenery here. Good history at this location and great details of the Battle of Franklin and Nashville. The trail is about a 3/4 of a mile and you can many folks here with dogs, scooters, or running. I can definitely see this as a picnic area as well. I believe there is a small public restroom and plenty of parking. We felt safe here and definitely will go back!

This is our favorite dog-friendly park. The trail is paved and wide enough to pass. The setting is beautiful. Restrooms.

Lovely place for a 3/4-mile walk through the woods. Civil War interpretive signs help explain the significance of the site in the Battle of Franklin. The squirrels everywhere were about the only companions I had this September evening. I'd love to come here again.

If you are interested in our country's history and the Civil War, then check out the historical City of Franklin and Winstead Hill. We picked up a pamphlet at the visitors center that is a audio tour of the area, including Winstead Hill. We thoroughly enjoyed learning more about this period in our history.

Cute little dog friendly park with wide paved trail and naturalized areas. Really cool area where they are working on conservation efforts for Chestnut trees and a neat war memorial with phone audio tour capability.

There’s just something about this place besides the history that was very special. I enjoy Franklin and make sure I stop here whenever I am in town. Thank you to the ones that are keeping it clean, the grass cut and maintaining the park!

Tennessee History is preserved very well at this beautiful hidden gem park. Must see for yourself, gave me chills to stand on this hallowed ground.

Nestled in charming Leiper's Fork, this distillery offers an idyllic setting for a leisurely afternoon. We savored the late fall weather with delicious cocktails (the whiskey sour is top-notch) while basking in the live music and warmth of the bonfire. Though we were unable to partake in the tour and tasting this visit due to its popularity and limited space, I suggest calling ahead to secure a spot for the full experience. Anticipating our next visit already!

One of the prettiest distilleries I've been to. Beautiful surroundings, buildings and a great tour. The staff is so friendly. Our tour guide was fun and informative. Loved that they were so open to questions. Great photos. Strongly recommend a tour and tasting and then take home a bottle form this distillery. Great settings of seating outside.

Paul is the real deal. Go just to visit him and be sure to get a signed copy of his book! There are so many interesting things about the history of whiskey in TN. The tour and the tasting were amazing.

We stopped in on a whim, an hour before closing. Everyone was very inviting and even said we could go on tour. Very inexpensive at $18/person with a tour of the distillery and a tasting at the end. Colin was a great tour guide and very knowledgeable about the distillery and the process. Hats of to you Colin!

Omg!! What a great place! Everybody there is very friendly. My hubby is a veteran and more than one person thanked him for his service. Paul was an excellent tour guide. I was not a whiskey or bourbon fan before the tour. But after the tour and tasting, I am now! My hubby and I ended up buying a bottle of bourbon. We'll be sure to savor every drop and drink our whiskey anyway we want 😉!

We loved the atmosphere and how every single person on staff seems to be informed about the area they work in and the history of the distillery itself! The server who did our whiskey tasting (wish I could remember her name) was very personable and knowledgeable as well! We were there during a storm and didn't take the whole tour but we were impressed by the decor and the staff...and of course the WHISKEY!

We just finished our tour here. Paul was a great tour guide. Extremely knowledgeable and funny. Eveyone that works there is very friendly. Hemmingway the distillery cat stole the show though. So glad we decided to tour here. Both the Tennessee Whiskey and Bourbon were delicious.

Stunning place. We got there Tuesday morning around 11 and we're the only ones there. They do tours on the hour, and since they do not serve any food or snacks we decided to leave and come back another time, rather than wait for next one. The place is not too large, and is beautiful. Lots of potential here, looking forward to seeing what they do next!

Great experience our tour guide was good and knowledgeable and tastings made for an enjoyable visit. Gift shop right through main entrance with a good selection, staff all friendly and knowledgeable, and restrooms located in main building as well as outdoor seating on property. Very warm welcome and great tour by Grady! We had a cocktail and waited on our tour to start. Smaller distillery but well thought out. They support our wounded warriors with the Freedom brand of whiskey. Support small businesses like Leipers Fork Distillery it will make your life better!

Amazing distillery. Tour guides are great with information and history. The bourbon was our favorite. Tour is wheelchair accessible. We thoroughly enjoyed hanging out on the patio listening to the band, drinking and smoking cigars.

I spent a few hours out enjoying the great weather and peaceful environment this distillery has to offer. The bartender was awesome and very polite. Barrett our tour guide was very candid and knowledgeable. He made the whole experience fun with the help of his "white" cat. ( have to take the tour to know the joke). I would recommend spending the time to come out and say hello to the fine folks. Not to mention the whiskey is top shelf!

Phenomenal experience! The tour was informative and entertaining. Fire pits were wonderful and bar had delicious drinks!

This amazing mixture of local artwork—from paintings to sculpture— helped me realize how much talent we have in the local community. Of course, the owner, Kelly Harwood, being one of my favorite contemporary artists of all time. Gallery 202 also has a collection of southern antique furniture for sale, all under one roof. I saw that the restored building dates all the back to 1821, so it's also a piece of timeless architecture. You'll be amazed as I was.

Kelly is an amazing artist and friend. I appreciate both his amazing talent but his willingness to support local arts and events. He gives in abundance. The art gallery and the artist represented are incredible and represent different type of art. It is always interesting to return and see what new art has arrive. Jim does a great job of educating you on both the art and the venue. A "must visit" when you are in Franklin.

Kelley and Jim are very welcoming and knowledgeable. Kelley Harwood is an extremely talented artist. I have personally given him 2 commissions for paintings for our home and my office and he vastly exceeded our expectations on both occasions. Got to visit this amazing art gallery today with my daughter. While we loved viewing the amazing art work, getting to chat with Jim and learning history of the house and more about the artist made this our highlight of the day! I don't suggest you stop in when you are in Franklin, TN... I suggest to visit Franklin just to go to Gallery 202 and pick up some art from some amazing local talent. We definitely will be returning in the near future.

Kelly Harwood is an incredible painter. My dad loved his work and he started buying the artists he’d feature, Melvin Toledo, to asking for Kelly to paint. He will always be apart of our family. And we adore he and Jim’s antiques and their work!

One of my favorite areas of Tennessee! I was saddened to see the giant fence along the bridge now. I understand why it has to be there, it’s just unfortunate. It takes away from the beauty of the bridge and the view, and it also triggered an emotional response from my son who recently lost a friend to suicide. Still a beautiful area.

Restricted access two lane road. Heavily patrolled by radar though I didn’t see any State Troopers when I visited. Lookout points and waterfalls along the way. It can feel like you have the entire road to yourself at times. Very clean and well maintained. Note bicyclists have the right of way and can use the entire lane if they choose. The highlight for me was the bridge on the north end.

Such a beautiful ride, relaxing no trucks no speeding. We took an audio tour for 12$ and it was perfect since there is so much history! We have a travel trailer and camped at the three campgrounds. Our favorite was Merywether Lewis but the two others ones are perfect two.

Quick drive from Nashville. Good place to spend some time. Parking is limited. Be careful of moving traffic especially if you have kids with you. Not every vehicle will go slow, I saw few vehicles not slowing down despite having people around on the bridge.

Such a beautiful place to visit. I only Wish there wasn't a highway underneath the bridge so you could fully feel the history or Invision a running river through the valley. Worth the trip and looking forward to following the Lois and Clark expedition history tour further.

Quick drive to this location from Franklin. Nice, calm, and beautiful small place. Can spend easily 1-2 hour. Walking on bridge, however, I found a bit risky as not much safety things. But the observation deck is well on the spot. Got really beautiful pics. The best time to visit is evening.

What a beautiful bridge to start or end your adventures along the Natchez Trace Parkway, so much history to see and learn. I highly recommend getting a parkway map at one of the main visitor centers they have detailed mile descriptions, describing where and what everything is, even * next to the “Must See”. It took us three days to Finish the entire route, there’s a lot of great camping RV sites available all throughout the trace without having to leave it. Although I do not recommend the Mississippi State parks, no offense, but they could be a lot cleaner better maintained, however they will work if need be. We found all of the Natchez Trace Parkway RV campsites the several locations we stayed at to be wonderful, somewhat spaced out, plug-ins for RVs, dump stations. As I said, I recommend passing up the state parks, particularly in Mississippi they’re missing a few things. Please don’t expect any nice showers or bathhouses/bathrooms. The one we stayed at was very dirty, did not have any nice restrooms or showers, no paper towels. I would highly recommend staying along the Natchez trace Parkway Camping RV sites, which are many. Any questions just ask.

Amazing view and beautiful structure, unless you're a die hard pressure-washing perfectionist. Very special to have a place so close to home to get away on two wheels or four.

Cool little hidden gem. This wasn't on our list of things to see, a tour guide actually told us about it. For those who have difficulty walking, it is a bit of a walk with nowhere to sit. It is a place I'd recommend seeing, the drive there is very pretty too.

If it wasn't such a hotspot for heartache this would be a fantastic place to gather my thoughts. Took a long time to realize how lucky I was growing up right down the road. And if someone's looking distressed pls do something. I've lost a few friends and acquaintances here.

If you are a motorcyclists or bicyclist this should be on your list of places to visit. There are three free campsites, one at each end and one in the middle. The road starts in Nashville, runs through Tupelo and Jackson, MS and ends in Natchez, MS. Its 444 Miles of ....well, a park. No stop signs, stop lights, no billboards, no commercial enterprises of any kind (not a store or a gas station). The speed limit does not exceed 50 for the entire parkway. Plus, it is built like an Interstate with on ramps and overpasses so you never have to stop for anything unless you want to...and you will. There are dozens and dozens of things to see and do along the way. We LOVE it. Oh, and Elvis fans? You can visit Elvis birthplace home in Tupelo, and even enjoy a southern baptist church meeting the way Elvis might have.

This is one of the best sightseeing drives that you can take. We start at the large bridge at Highway 96 and take day trips! It's over 400 miles total. Expect to see a lot of wild life including deer, turkey and beautiful scenery! Historic sites abound and there are many waterfalls to see. We are very lucky to live so close and enjoy this drive often. Highly recommended!

While I understand the need, the new protection fence is prison grade. It absolutely takes away from the experience. Pro tip: if you put your hands just under the bottom of the fence you can snap unobstructed photos.

Scenic view in middle Tennessee, situated at 20min drive from Franklin. The double arc bridge is a magnificent structure, one of its kind. The view and colors are splendid and different in each season.

Such a beautiful ride on this road. We only went for about a half hour but crossed the bridge on and under, and it was awesome to see!

Had a great family time at Gentry Farm. Lots for the family to do and great things to buy like food and crafts. They have a corn maze, a tractor ride, animal exhibits, and lots of pumpkins. There is a price for admission, but it's worth it. The pumpkins have a lot of variety. You can get cheaper ones at the grocery store, but those are all basic orange ones. Here you can get green, white, black, or orange. They range from $1 to $12 depending on size. Tickets are about $10 a head. If you like nature, farms, and fall, this is the place to be.

Great place to bring the entire family and pets. My grandbaby's first time visiting and she enjoyed herself thoroughly. She even picked her first pumpkin 😁🎃

This place was super cute. The activities are really well done. Not expensive, and totally worth it. Lots for children and adults to do. We don’t have any kids and had an amazing time, but would totally recommend to anyone with kids, as well. The property is absolutely beautiful and really well cared for. The staff was so nice. All around lovely place to go

So much to see and do. A fun fall activity at a historic farm. Also very reasonably priced. A good value.

AMAZING! I have three children different ages. And my struggle is finding activities that would keep all of them happy without having to leave one behind because they will be bored. Gentry farm had activities for all three of my children, one of which is 14. Snack hut, corn maze, hayrides, labyrinth, putt putt, horseshoe, animals, play areas with fun activities all over and a small strip of games the older kids can enjoy, and more to list! I actually liked that the pumpkins were last and not on a field. Because I didn’t have to lug around huge pumpkins across fields with kids and my personal items. The farm itself is beautiful with great views. Truly loved this farm!!!! I will absolutely visit again.

Went on a weekday morning with kids 2 & 4. We all had fun! I enjoyed learning about the farms history, agriculture, and animals. Kids enjoyed the activities. All the staff working the farm were so so friendly. Great value for the money! Wish we had a season pass!

Our family had a great time here. There are tractor rides, multiple mazes, a small 9 hole mini golf, nature trail and many animals. There were multiple areas for the children to play. The staff was very friendly. There was ample parking. Just be careful if it has recently rained on the river trail and mazes. It is slick.

Genuine country farm, operational every day. The Halloween pumpkin sale was excellent. We got 3 wheelbarrow loads for decorating the house.

The place is awesome everybody is friendly The hay ride is very existing my son loves this place we have been going there for the past 3 years and planning on going next year we already have visited the farm 3 times this month

Unique shop. Great scented candles and beautifully made cards, stationary, artwork, books and bookmarks. There are even antique hunting jackets that are handprints by David Arms. The shop is a must see.

I ordered several items last December, for gifts and cards. The coasters were very pretty. However, on one the paint has peeled off after 5 months of use. I have tried to contact customer service about this issue and there has been no response for a month. So very disappointing.

This is not your routine gallery. It is a cathedral of peace and beauty. I don't think I can ever get anywhere near Nashville without coming here.

The smell. The altar. The various duck cocktail glasses. The lighting. The 10s of teeny tiny amber drink vessels. The art. Everything was a vibe. I miss it already.

It's a great park. Very beautiful with lovely paths to walk on that are well maintained and also not too long. You feel surprisingly remote considering there is a target parking lot next door. Great place to walk you dog too but only on a leash of course.

Very neat park! I didn't know Franklin had such a strategic battle here in the Civil War. We actually met a man here who gave us alot of information on the times and the battle. He knew his stuff! I'm pretty sure he was a 'daughter of the __________' who took care of the park! The map at the top of the stairs is something to see. It is hard for me to imagine HOW the terrain, the times, the killing that went on here transpired!!! So sad.

Great little park; lots of history to study. First stop if you are doing a tour of the Franklin battle. I'm disappointed that all the trees block the view of downtown Franklin. It would be nice if they were trimmed down so that you could see Franklin (not Tractor Supply or Target), but enough to get a good perspective. Same problem on the other end, you can't look back from the Carter House area towards Winstead Hill. Love what's being done on the Eastern Flank. Need to spend at least 3-4 hours to see everything, but you can see all the major points in less than an hour, as long as you're needing reading, or going inside the buildings. Great job by the Franklin Trust!

This is a great dog- friendly park. There are restrooms, a water fountain, paved trails, and doggie bags to clean up after your pet. This historical site provides information on the Battle of Franklin, has memorial stones for the troops and generals of the Confederacy, and has the observation lookout over the entire Battle of Franklin area. The 3/4 mile paved trail loops below the observation lookout and winds through beautiful wooded areas and across streams.

My family and I enjoyed the beautiful scenery here. Good history at this location and great details of the Battle of Franklin and Nashville. The trail is about a 3/4 of a mile and you can many folks here with dogs, scooters, or running. I can definitely see this as a picnic area as well. I believe there is a small public restroom and plenty of parking. We felt safe here and definitely will go back!

This is our favorite dog-friendly park. The trail is paved and wide enough to pass. The setting is beautiful. Restrooms.

Lovely place for a 3/4-mile walk through the woods. Civil War interpretive signs help explain the significance of the site in the Battle of Franklin. The squirrels everywhere were about the only companions I had this September evening. I'd love to come here again.

If you are interested in our country's history and the Civil War, then check out the historical City of Franklin and Winstead Hill. We picked up a pamphlet at the visitors center that is a audio tour of the area, including Winstead Hill. We thoroughly enjoyed learning more about this period in our history.

Cute little dog friendly park with wide paved trail and naturalized areas. Really cool area where they are working on conservation efforts for Chestnut trees and a neat war memorial with phone audio tour capability.

There’s just something about this place besides the history that was very special. I enjoy Franklin and make sure I stop here whenever I am in town. Thank you to the ones that are keeping it clean, the grass cut and maintaining the park!

Tennessee History is preserved very well at this beautiful hidden gem park. Must see for yourself, gave me chills to stand on this hallowed ground.

Harlinsdale Farm is a beautiful quiet park. The dog park is large and clean, with a big dog side and small dog side. There are trails through the meadows and woods, and around the lake.

Great piece of property and great scenery. The downside is lots of folks not following the guidelines of leash law for dogs and many people allowing dogs to swim in the pond where people are fishing. This pond is not good water quality for swimming and it's stated on the website. It is however good for walking, hiking, lots of horse activity and a canoe drop to the harpeth on the south end of the farm.

We love Harlinsdale Farm. Mainly for its dog park. Plenty of play area. There’s three fenced in areas. One that’s closed as they rotate the big dogs from one to the other seasonally. There’s a small dog area under 30 pounds (bigger dogs not welcome) and then the big dog section that’s for over 30 pounds(smaller dogs are welcome). Water fountains are provided for cool drinking water. Plenty of trash cans and poop bag stations. Most owners are courteous and attentive to picking up there dog’s excrements. Some just talk on their cell phones and ignore their dog and don’t correct in the moment bad behaviors and that’s frustrating. More often than not you have the attentive dog parent but the inattentive dog parent is not appreciated and I will leave the park when this happens, thanks to those that are these people who ruin it for the rest of the well behaved population. Also am highly disappointed when someone comes and says that there dog isn’t friendly. Well then your dog shouldn’t be here. Again this scenario is a rarity at Harlinsdale but they are some regulars and I will be filing a complaint if it continues to happen, as it’s inappropriate. Overall, this place is great. There’s a canoeing launch point with an area of shallow water for wading, just be aware of snakes. Horse shows occur regularly as well as polo matches in the Tractor Supply Arena.

Wonderful place to come for a walk! If there is not an event happening. I would recommend walking around the farm but then heading towards the lake in the back of the property! Big trees with lots of shade that I'm sure would be great for a picnic. Also it is pet friendly! But they do recommend pets to stay on a leash. Also, legendary horse, Midnight Sun, was laid to rest here. Would recommend if you have a some time to relax.

Love riding our horses here! Very nice trail to take a timid rider! Beautiful big trailer parking lot. Well manicured trail. It’s a bout 3.5 miles. We usually go around 2x. We have a nice lunch at the trailers afterwards!

Wow. Lots to do at this park! Plenty of photo ops too. While we were there, a bunch of other people were doing wedding photos. That is how nice of is. We went after hours so it was nice and quiet. Good for nature, but not much action with dogs and horses. Planning on going back for walking the dog, having a picture session for our family, or just taking another walk.

This was our first visit to The Dog Park at Harlinsdale Farm, and it definitely will not be the last. The park itself is set back far off of Franklin Road, easily accessible with ample parking. The entire property is gorgeous, and there are separate fenced-in areas for the large and small dogs. But the most important thing is that ZIGGY loved it. The dogs were well behaved, the fenced-in areas clean and well-kept, and the other "parents" were friendly and welcoming. Definitely a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ experience‼️

It is really beautiful and historically important and valuable park. If you are visiting this park for fun, to spend peaceful time together with your family and friends, you will get best out of this place. It is full of greenery, moments of people taking horse riding championships, horse farms, picnic spots etc. I loved to see so many people spending weekend with the group of family and friends.

One of the most peaceful, beautiful, and serene places to go by yourself or with your dog. It is just one giant farm with so much room for you and your dog to walk around and play. My favorite park I've ever visited ever!

Great place for a jog or walk. They have a few dog parks that your fur fily can enjoy or walk them around. They provide poop bags which is a plus. The grounds are very well maintained.

"The Farm" is a gorgeous space! As a High School Senior Portrait photographer (SENIORITY Photography), I spend a lot of time here and in the surrounding areas! Barns/Water/Stone Walls are all incredible spots. Pilgrimage Festival is a must-see each August and sunsets look epic over the farm. It's also a great spot to go running or kayaking!

Had an amazing time with my girlfriend. Made for a very cool date and now we have two beautiful handmade ornaments to hang on to. If you're looking to do something a lot of fun and memorable, I recommend signing up for a class!

My Wife and I took a class with Jose last year. He is a great teacher and makes the class fun! Would defiantly recommend taking a glass blowing class with him to my friends and family.

Went went there to make a Christmas ornament. Had to go back & pick it up after it cooled. Got there and found out that they they gave the ornament to someone else. Rather than getting a chance to do it again, we got something made by someone else. Pretty lame. Won't make this mistake again.
