Beautiful place to take a meditative walk in the winter. Summers are for crowd lovers only. Easy flat access to beach from parking. Down the road at Tunnel Park there is a very steep decline to traverse to access the beach from the parking area.

Beautiful State park with a pier and lighthouse, nice sand dunes and beautiful long grasses cover the dunes, has a large bathroom area and changing rooms and outdoor showers, an area to watch the boats go in and out of Lake Michigan and two walking paths to help you get all of your gear out to the beach. There is a small kids park with swings and volleyball nets. Been coming here for 35 years and I still love it!

Beautiful beach. We only spent about an hour there. Being springtime we didn't go in the water but we would like to return in the summer to visit.

We camped in the beach campground and had a phenomenal time. Everything was neat and tidy. The beach was 4 campsites down from ours, providing beautiful Lake Michigan Sunsets! The modern bathrooms and showers were well kept and clean. The camp host this weekend was super nice. We had a lovely time.

Plenty of parking and easy access down to the Lake from here. Lots of ice along the waterfront, so weren’t able to get too close, but it’s beautiful seeing the Lake in an icy clutch. Facilities are closed in the winter so do be prepared, and the pier is closed due to ice, but a beautiful spot.

Nice park with a fantastic location, and one of the two bath houses is really nice. The west bath house could definitely use an update, and some of the sites are a bit unlevel, so pay attention when booking for a large RV. We had an asphalt pad and still need all of our leveling wedges to get it right. Still worth visiting this park despite the few shortcomings.

Clean rooms and nice people run it.Great location.The outside needs work, but looks like it is being worked on. There is no pool or mini golf,but if you are just looking for an inexpensive place to stay,this is an option.There is a decent restaurant in the lot ,a bar and an antique store. Small fridge in the room and microwave in a common room.

Nice state park with views, piers and a beach. The dunes were great. There is a lighthouse called "Big Red" right across the inlet you can get pictures of. We didn't stay long but enjoyed the visit.

Great trail on the shorter side. Can be steep at the beginning and end but other than that, it's a nice hike with a lovely view of lake Michigan, the red lighthouse and the sand dunes. The campground itself is pretty tight quarters. Not many trees, so I wouldn't count on using hammocks. It seems like primarily an rv park. It does have bathrooms and showers in the center of the campground.

Campground is a parking lot but right at the beach. No fire pits but you can bring your own. Family friendly. Verizon service decent. You have to pay to park still even with reservation

If you like the beach, especially if you've never been to a freshwater coast, this is a great place to start. It offers a little something for everyone. There is a nice beach that is kept very clean.

We enjoyed being close to the beach. Our E-bikes were perfect on the many bike paths around the area. Our hike had a beautiful Overlook as a reward, Our campsite was nice, but was next to the main road for the beach. Noisy motor heads had the only disappoint. Nice two day stay.

Location, location, location! For reference, my husband & I stayed 4 nights in July 2023 in our 40 ft motorhome. The park is in a premium location and walking/biking distance to the beach, restaurants & shopping. We rented bikes from Oak Grove Campground for 2 days and loved riding around the beautiful town. The big red lighthouse is a short walk from the park and a great place to watch the sunset. The sites are decently spaced apart and level. If you’re lucky enough, they have some full hookup sites. We were in corner spot #159 (50 amp hookup only). Things to know: cell service was good, there are a lot of tent campers and families with small kids, the park is strict on their noise policy and does night patrols. If you’re ever in the area, I highly recommend this campground.

Ok, let me get this out of the way. The check-in process was a nightmare. You weren’t allowed to check in before 3pm and we unfortunately arrived at 2 so we were made to wait. We decided to wander for an hour since we couldn’t wait in the parking lot. Returned at 3 and the line to get in was unbelievable. It took over half an hour. Anyway, the campground was great. Bathrooms and shower rooms were fantastic. Very clean and taken care of. The sites were a bit close together but actually it was surprisingly quiet. Once we saw how packed it was we thought it was going to be a mess, but we had a very nice stay. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

Great campground with a short drive to the beach, which is beautiful! I did want to mention one thing that affected our "camping party"; we had read you could check in early if your campsite was vacant. **This is not true anymore** at this campground in Holland Michigan anyway. *Check in is at 3. No exceptions - even if your site is free.

This is a state park in Lake Michigan. They have 2 piers you can walk out on when the water is acting up. It was closed the day I went. The wind was blowing and the waves were coming in nice. The park was nice though we really only saw the beach and pier area. They have a cool lighthouse and a plaque explaining the history of the lighthouse. The park seemed well kept and clean and the scenery was awesome. There was a playground area for the kids. If you like being outside, around the water and beach, this was a beautiful place to visit. I would recommend going and checking it out if you are in the area. It would be amazing in the summer for summer fun too.

We saw people surfing 🏄‍♀️ 🌊 and it was 40°F and windy. Wow. The restrooms are still closed. (They will open on summer). There is a playground on sand.

Great location- the lake is across the road from the campground. Close to Holland which is unique with windmills, etc. Lake Michigan was a 4 min. drive. Campground does not have full hookups, which would definitely be a plus.

Nice State Park campground. We stayed in the wooded half, not the beach. There were nice shade trees over half the campground and the bathroom and showers in that half was very nice! They were holding a Halloween event with campsite decorating contest, coffee and donuts, and trick or treating for the kids, also. There is a LOT of road noise audible in the campground, so it's not the quietest option.

We stopped long enough to get pictures of Big Red. Unfortunately Google had taken us in the wrong way so we weren't able to see the front view of the lighthouse. Beautiful area, though.

Sites were pretty wooded, and shaded. Beach sites were close but not crowded and had easy beach access. The beach, ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Water was warm, it was all sand, and super shallow. Even like 25 feet away from shore and it was maybe 4 feet deep. All time favorite Michigan beach.

This was more enjoyable than I had originally thought. The flowers were beautiful. Can't even imagine what it would look like when the tulips are in bloom. The gift ship was small and quaint and the carousel was being enjoyed by kids. The outdoor organ was fun. I even saw a few teens dancing and having fun being silly. That was really nice. The windmill was beautiful and going inside to hear the history from one of the employees was worth it.

Windmill island gardens **Stop! Are you looking for the famous Tulip Garden? This is it.** Our first time coming here. Not how I envision it but good. People glorify the images but in reality it’s a tame environment. I was expecting a magnificent display of tulips all over. In reality, they are planted in sections and in limited quantities. The windmill is huge! The area is surround by a small stream which must be used for watering the tulips. The bathrooms are located in the main building which is nice. No outhouses or porta potty. No need for extra smells to ruin the smell of tulips. They do have ONE food stand which serves a decent amount of different foods. I strongly suggest you come before the festival, because when it arrives, there is basically no parking spot available. Come and enjoy the tulips. Highly recommended

This is a beautiful place to come and stroll, they have a marsh with all kinds of wildlife. The windmill is very fascinating to tour, the historic street organ was beautiful, just to see this historic gem and to see the inside and how it works was amazing and a wonderful learning experience. They have gift shops and a carousel that gives free rides every hour. I enjoyed my walk through this Netherlandish replica. I loved the women walking around in classic Dutch clothing and shoes. I recommend everyone take their family at least one time. You don’t have to go during the tulip festival I believe it’s something you can do all year round.

Stopped here for a quick visit on an RV trip. Beautiful grounds, lovely windmill, and enthusiastic staff who are eager to engage and teach about Dutch culture and the grinding process of the windmill. The gardens were well manicured and gorgeous. Kids enjoyed the carousel which runs every 30 min at no additional fee. The only downside was for as much as it cost to get in there wasn’t much to do except see the windmill, organ, and carousel. Was still worth the visit just thought it was a bit overpriced.

This place was beautiful. Workers were dressed up in authentic Dutch clothing and were very friendly and helpful, answering all the questions that I had. There are so many things to see and do. It would be best to come early May when all the tulip fields are in bloom. Everything was so well taken care of and just breathtaking. I will be bringing the rest of my family back to check this area out again.

Great place to just walk around. We came to see the Tulips. We climbed up inside the windmill. It is an interesting museum and garden. It's worth the price, because of the amount of time and work it must take to take care of this place.

I was really excited to come here. We live 3 hours away. I looked up the best time to see the tulips and I found tulip festival is the best time. So we planned and drove 3 hours here. Then, we sat in traffic forever, only to finally get to the entrance just to see the parking lot is closed, and then we finally found parking downtown. Walk all the way up just to be told there is an hour wait to get tickets. So we wait to get tickets. Come in to overcrowded Park, and the flowers were mostly half dead. And if there were okay ones, there was a mob of people everywhere. I exepted fields of flowers, but in reality, it was only 4. I feel like the festival should have started sooner before all the flowers died. If the flowers looked good, it would have been all worth it.

Great place to visit! Amazing tulips! Open to the public. $12 per person. Gift shop, and food available. Great opportunity to see the tulips that you can order for home. Nice easy hole around tulip fields. Windmill was accessible.

Lovely place to visit, especially if you enjoy history, windmills and/or tulips. I went when they were having an autumn craft event, which made it pretty lively. The Dutch village itself is very cool even when there's not an event going on. The windmill is worth checking out to see how grains used to be processed (and all of the instruments of grain torture...). The windmill was only open Thurs-Sat when I visited so definitely double-check before going if you want to see the inside and get a bird's eye view of the gardens.

The staff there are so friendly and are eager to tell you all about the place. The gardens are beautiful and the windmill is great to go up in and see. We enjoyed it! The gift shop is really nice as well!

Such a beautiful place and the staff are so friendly! They have horses, tons of flowers all over. The river next to it is relaxing! You can get married here, see a street organ! Definitely a place to stop. Also, try their cheese!

The tulips were stunning. It was wildly windy so when we made it to the top of the windmill the outdoor observation area was closed, but safety. Lots of fun facts around the park, tons of photo ops and a great selection in the gift shop.

Still open in winter technically, but obviously all the attractions are closed, but you can get access and walk around. Fun little romantic spot to come that is very isolated, no doubt it is heaving during tourist season.

I had a good time here. I do wish there were bigger fields of tulips like in the Netherlands! I thought the workers in the windmill were adorable and very informative. I went on a beautiful day and did not regret my time spent. It cost $12 to get in and they had a food truck to purchase food and a gift shop. I probably missed a few things to do but I’m sure those were fun as well.

Not what the photos will promised you. So here's some angles to show you the actual state of this location. It's few patches of Tulips with more weeds than the flowers and Tulip plants which grew barely a feet heigh. We went at the peak of the season (May 4th Saturday) and the first to enter the park, so none of the plants were run down by the crowd yet. But still it was worse than you think. Can you take an impressive photo with a Windmill at the back if you place the camera just at the right angle? Yes. Would you be impressed by the location, at all? No. So if you happen to drive through Holland, MI and need to stop for some reason, do visit this place. But please don't waste your time to drive hours to see a Tulip Garden. You won't. I was sad about the miles of people queuing up to enter the garden when we were leaving. Cherry on top was the run down Macatawa River with dead weed and barely any water. This is definitely the "Poor Man's version of Tulip Festival in Netherlands". And not worth a drive. Not recommended.

It was a beautiful place to be for a day trip. We went on May 10 when the tulips were in full bloom and enjoyed a lot. There were lots of tulips of different colors. It was a bit crowded though but that was okay. There are a few parking lots with enough space and that shouldn’t be a problem at all. Parking is free. There is a 12 dollar admission fee for one person and no discount for students. I would say 12 dollars was worth it for us because we haven’t seen that many tulips ever. There are two restaurants with few food options and ice cream. The prices are reasonable. There is a big shop to buy garments, arts and show pieces of different kinds. The wooden boots were unique because I haven’t seen them anywhere before. I would recommend the place to visit in the right time.

Nice tulip garden. Must visit for tulip season 🌷🌹.. 9 to 5.30 entry $12 for adults and $5 for kids. If you go after 5.30 it's free to enter till 7pm

When we arrived around 11 a.m., the main entrance was closed because the parking lot was full, so we had to find parking elsewhere. By the time we found parking and walked about 15 minutes, the entrance was open again. It was a long walk pushing a stroller. Seems like we missed the peak time for the flowers, but they were still very nice. Restrooms are available right after you pay and enter. The entrance cost was $12/adult. There are limited food options. Three lunches (hamburgers, Italian sausage, fries, and drinks) were $42. A small deli style sandwich was $8. Arriving a little earlier or later may get you into the main parking lot.

Magic at the Mill Christmas event. Thought it was worth the $10 fee. The light show set to music was pretty cool to resemble dancing tulips. Good event for all ages that can walk 1/4 mile. Tent with hot chocolate and snacks available. Must buy tickets online in advance, no tickets at location.

Visited a week before the tulip time festival. Perfect time to avoid larger crowds and most of the flowers were already in full bloom. Not the biggest tulip farm in the area but worth it for a short stop. You can check out the view from the top of the windmill, browse in the cute shops and of course walk through rows of colorful tulips. Great place for pics especially around tulip time.

Windmill Island Gardens is a quaint and beautiful place to visit, walk around and learn about the real windmill brought from the Netherlands and the traditions and history of how Holland, Michigan was established.

It’s a must visit place accordingly to me if you are visiting Holland MI. Kids will love this place. My daughter simply loves this place. Pros: * Decent entry fees(They provided free pass for the next visit too as we entered the village 3 hours before the closing time) * Unlimited rides * kids friendly. You can say it’s a paradise for kids. * So many activities to do. * Dutch style buildings and staff with Dutch costumes give you pure Dutch feel.

Dutch Village is a step back in time. You can be weighed to see if you are a witch. You can buy a whole cheese wheel. You can ride a vintage Ferris Wheel. You can learn to Dutch dance. You can walk a goat. You can go inside a chicken coop with the birds. Dutch village is amazing for everyone in your group. The young, the old, the in between - everyone finds something they love. On Special weekends you may find a Queens Party, a Pirate Festival, a Renaissance weekend… you never know what you might see.

We visited 2 years ago and def see a huge improvement in all the buildings and overall park. There’s more fun things for the kids to do! We loved the petting farm specially the chickens🫶🏻. You have to try the freshly made Wafers next to the fudge store. We appreciate all the costumes, the dancing show and all the hard work from each and every person that works here. Coming to this place has become a tradition now!

Not been here o a long time. It is was a nice to day. Why not go enjoy the day in Holland Michigan. Its changed slot. And that's a good thing. I still want to go to the tulip garden. Never been there. Next I will. Go early for sure!

Fun but definitely tourist-y destination in Holland exploring the area's Dutch roots and ancestry. Lots of fun activities, exhibits, dances, and animals for little ones to play with and enjoy. Knowledgeable and friendly staff who love showing off their exhibits. Very walkable and a great place to spend an afternoon.

We had a wonderful visit at Dutch village. Our children are 8,6, and 2 and they really enjoyed themselves. They liked the rides, and I liked taking pictures of flowers! I appreciated that the food wasn’t wildly overpriced. Overall, a nice visit.

Fun experience! Only place we could find with parking for Tulip Time. Tried to go to Windmill island gardens twice this same day, but the lot was full both times. We enjoyed the tulips and decorations. There were free cheese samples out at the cheese store. There are several rides that adults can ride, but it looked like they were mostly for kids. The petting zoo was fun. Animal food cones were a $1. We enjoyed the Dutch dancing. Staff were friendly. Would recommend.

I took my family here, it was the 1st time visiting and it was wonderful. All the stuff there is to do and learn is great, but I think the best part is the workers who truly seem to enjoy their jobs and were very friendly, very educational, and took the time to answer any of our questions.

This place is perfect for a fun, educational visit, and it's great for all ages! Price is reasonable, and you get to learn about wooden shoes, how to make cheese, watch a traditional dance, etc. There's a fun place area for the younger kids, a petting zoo, carousel, ferris wheel. Definitely recommend!

This place is very rich in history. This is a really cool place for kids to go and see the history of Dutch settling in Holand MI. It has a couple of carousel playgrounds, animals trying on of the wooden shoes and how they are made. They have lots of exhibits on how thing were made, period correct clothing and much more. I would recommend taking your younger kids here.

Nice place to enjoy with family. Especially for children’s . So many activities ,rides. If you are planning a trip is better to buy tickets online. (Online $16) otherwise $18per head. Also you can enjoy the Dutch dance performance as well as lessons.

Our family and us hung out there and spent the day. We have kids so this was perfect place for them to do and learn. Not badly priced too. Each kid got a waffle and hot chocolate and we made memories. Over all I would say it was a decent value for the money especially now they've expanded. Way improved.

A group of 23 of us took a day trip and came to the Dutch Village in Holland, Michigan. Many of the tulips are gone,, But we still had shopping, coffee shops, rides on the ferris wheel and other rides, and we all watched the last dance performance by a group of dancers depicting Dutch dancing. Some of our group even participated in one of the dances! That was fun to watch. A great day at the Dutch Village! Thank you, Dutch Village for your friendliness and kindness! Enjoyable day!!

My family attended Dutch village on a Saturday. It wasn't too busy. We bought our tickets online which came to $15 a person, 3 and under are free, if you buy them there its $17 a person. My daughter was able to ride all the rides at 40in tall. It Looked like you had to be around 32-34in tall to be able to ride. The animals were our favorite part. They were so lovable and wanted all the attention. You could interact with them, which was nice. I recommend going. We were there for around 4 hours.

This is a really cute, quaint, local "theme park" located within Holland. It is set up to look like a mini-Netherlands, with lots of lessons and activities available to entertain a variety of audiences, especially children. Having been to Amsterdam before, there were a couple of moments when I found myself being reminded of that part of the world as we explored this park. The people that work here are very warm and friendly, and they work hard to maintain the park's overall theme. This park is a great place to visit if you are on a field trip, or if you are visiting with family that has (younger) kiddos!

I didn’t have much expectation before going. We all ended up enjoying couple hours there. It’s a small park. They set up many ‘shows’ - dancing , clogs making, staff explaining in individual building. I leant much more the Dutch culture here than my previous trips in the actual Holland. There are many old machines, displays which are well kept. All staff are friendly and are passionate sharing their knowledge with us. Although the rides are more for young kids , my 10-year old said the park is the highlight of our visit in this town. Definitely recommend this place to any family’s travellers.

Beautiful little slice of Holland. Good food, especially cheeses. Great entertainment for the kids. The young staff there really put their heart into their roles. Thoroughly enjoyed visiting. Don’t miss the Klompendans dancers!

Dutch village is very nice place to get familiar with old life style of Dutch people. A lot to see and specials are the dance and kids play stations 🚉. Staff are very cooperative, when we were at this village it suddenly started raining and becoming dark. They started to close all outlets but we couldn’t move our since we had less than six month kid in the rain, so they arranged jackets and umbrellas ☔️ for us to move to safe place into restaurant. It needs atleast a day to go through entire village so keep time n make entry.

While we were in Holland, Michigan, we discovered Nelis’ Dutch Village. We explored the store and the gardens, both of which are fantastic places. Being a photographer, I take photos everywhere I go, and this trip was no exception. I always start taking photos on the road to our destination, capturing the journey as well as the destination. Once we arrived, I continued to photograph everything. Holland is a very charming town with wonderful shops, and Nelis’ Dutch Village is certainly a highlight.

We purchased a dozen tickets for our family and visited the village for about four hours. It's the perfect place to visit if you have young kids under the age of 10. After the entry fee, your kids can try the rides as much as they like. They have areas where you can sample 24 flavors of cheeses or over a dozen flavors of fudge. The cheeses and fudge are great hits and you can tell that they are made fresh. There is also a "petting zoo" where you can hold chickens and pet some bunnies. I think this place is a must-stop if you are visiting the area. 5/5

Very interesting place to visit for tulips festival. We purchased tickets online right in front of the entrance. Tickets are good for the whole day so can leave and come back. Lots of activities to do! We went last weekend of April and all tulips were blooming already

A very different vibe than nearby Holland State Park beach. You need a different parks pass, finding open parking can be tough, and a photo in the tunnel is a MUST. Very nice beach, with a small dune to climb up to get back to the tunnel.

Nice restroom facilities and lovely beach. The tunnel is through a Dune, so there is a bit of a downward hill on the other side in order to get to the beach and again uphill in order to leave. I would say it isn't very handicap accessible. We basically had the place to ourselves, but it was 50 degrees. 😅

Great park for a variety of events. If you like rugged Beach snoozing, they've got you. If you like to run up and down the dunes, they've got you. Looked great for swimming. Playground with a large variety of equipment for the kiddos with deep sand as the base layer. Even have some snacks for purchase (vending machine) that takes a card. In to this place.

Best place in holland to watch the sunset! The park is great and the tunnel is super cool when the sun peaks through. No pets allowed

Walking through the tunnel to the beautiful Michigan beach brought back so many wonderful childhood memories. A clean public family beach, parking is $8 for the daily pass or you can park off the lot and walk a few minutes, annual pass is $25 so if you’re visiting for more than three days cheaper to get the annual pass. The beach gets crowded! Water will still take your breath away mid July- so chilly and refreshing after sunbathing!

Ended up here while the bigger well known dune parks nearby were far too busy. This underated gem has lots of picnic spots for different group sizes. Best of all on the other side you get direct access to the dune and lake front of you want to venture that far. Or if you go from the top, you will get some awesome views of the dunes and lake. Would definitely come back next time we head to the dunes.

Kids park looked super fun and the beach is a short walk up and down some steps if you want to randomly catch the sunset. We had a lovely, chilly, sit in the sand as the sun dipped down into the water.

Whether you are a sea lover or not you are going to fall in love with this place. It is so scenic, breezy and beautiful. A perfect place to enjoy the water. The water is very clean and so is the shore. Recommended 👍

Great beach! We went right when it opened so parking was right by the playground/restrooms(changing rooms-showers)/stairs to dunes/actual tunnel to beach! Kids loved the sand bar within the swim markers.

There is a long stairway from the parking lot up and down to the beach (or steep sand hill the kids loved conquering) but absolutely worth it. My favorite beach view in all of Michigan. The mound you do go over also gives this amazing high scenery and blocks a lot of sound to add to the stillness and seclusion of the spot

Don't miss out on gr8 sunsets & smooth sandy beach!! Just a short walk--less than 250 feet from most "Fall parking spots". Beach, Picnic area & Playground areas r PHENOMANEL. Restrooms are big --the stalls are big enough for husky people like me to change into swimwear and there are 2 water spickets to rince sand off kids or adult legs. ***Saw an East Coast family dropping off their teenager to Hope College that weekend & heard them comment that it "was like the ocean--u can't see across to WI." >The BADGER State!!!** Enjoy these photos taken in late OCT this yr. Loved the park , very unique views and amazing beach

I love this beach for many reasons. But sunsets are definitely on the top of the list

A great spot for those that want to hangout on the beach, or those that want to just look at the beach or watch the sunset. There are two options for accessing the park, including a set of stairs to take you to a great overlook, or the park's namesake tunnel that takes you right to the beach. There's also a playground, a restroom, and a ton of parking.

This is a really wonderful lakeside park just outside Holland, MI. There's on site parking, picnic areas with grills and a nice bathroom with changing rooms. You'll see a number of steps right next to a sand dune hill the kids love. After you reach the top of the steps, you'll see a kind of boardwalk with grass areas and places to sit and enjoy the view of the spectacular Lake Michigan. To reach the beach, you'll need to climb down a substantial number of steps. We were there September 25th and the temps were 70ish and it was cloudy with a slight breeze. We didn't enter the water but when I've been there in past the water was always cool or cold. The views are wonderful. You'll see sailboats floating across the lake, birds and lovely plays of light across the water.

This place is beautiful. We went during off season but still had a great time!

Nice park. The beach is down a steep hill though. It could be tough for some people to get back up again.

We love hiking these trails! There’s so many options available, well marked, and option to get to the beach. There is also a good portion that has the disc golf course on, but the people playing are good about watching for hikers.

We rode our bikes to the park from Saugatuck, there is a nice paved trail that gets you to the main road into the park, and from there we rode on the street, which had a decent shoulder for bikes. We hiked the north trail to the beach, that side of the beach was not busy at all. We walked along the beach back to the beach trail and hiked that back to the parking lot. All of the trails were well marked. Most of the trail is sand, sometimes loose, sometimes compact. Some elevation changes, but not too bad. It was a nice way to spend a morning.

This place is awesome! We went in early November and it was super. There are many species of trees and plants here and a lovely forested area until you get to the beach. This area had beautiful moss and mushrooms, beech and maple trees too. Once on the beach the sand is soft and I would recommend walking along the beach to get some peace and quiet There's a secret yellow sandcastle bucket. You should find that and make a castle.

SGT Dunes State Park is a hidden gem. In fact it's so awesome, the state should really set up a perpetual carnival in the parking lot, attracting so many Michiganders that it becomes over run and then turned in to a theme park. Then it wouldn't be a State park any longer and thus, defeating the original purpose. But we all know that will never happen because you have to want to get out of the chair and visit. Walking thru sand is both difficult and rewarding. Running down the beach dodging the tide is a great work out. Seeing the lake in all 4 seasons is equally satisfying. and the wooded sections are breathtaking -literally. Hills. And, if you're look carefully, you'll be glad to learn that Andrew loves Eileen 15'.

Beautiful stretch of a wide sandy beach off the beaten path. Requires a hike to get to the beach. It's an easy hike, about 15 minutes or so, but not close enough that you would want to carry in a cooler or large party items. The trade off is that you end up with a pristine secluded beach area. This is easily one of the least populated 'nice' stretches of lake Michigan open to the public. The dunes offer a very pretty backdrop and there are a few good trees for stretching a hammock across. Rock hunting here is non existent, so don't come here looking for that keeper.

We took our three dogs and two kids (6&9) here on the blue trail (south) and it was absolutely stunning! My 6 yo said the views by the beach was absolutely worth the hike and that he had "the best day ever!". Make sure to bring snacks and water for tiny humans! But absolutely a great way to spend a few hours together as a family!

Stopped by on a road trip during sunset. Beach is clean and trails are well maintained. 10 minute walk to the beach. Area has good signage to keep you on track. It’s a nice quick stop for the view. $12 entry fee for private vehicles

This was a nice, easy, dog friendly hike to the beach from the parking lot. Saw a disc golf course on our way that we would like to try next time! Definitely recommend for novice hikers looking to see the beautiful water and dunes.

Loved this place. The different lengths in trails that brought you to different ends of the beach made it so you got to choose the trail you wanted to walk to get there. It was a good hike and a beautiful one too. Then the view at the end was just beautiful. Spent the day at the beach, then walked the trail back, which was a little harder to do, being tired from the beach. But I can say it was well worth it. Looking forward to going again and bringing friends.

This is another example of Michigan's beautiful state parks. This park features wonderful wooded walks in the hilly dunes leading to the great beech on Lake Michigan. Good parking, dog friendly, and well layer out trails. Very near to Saugatuck.

I loved this trail! I ran on the south trail, it's a gorgeous mix of forest, dune, and beach. Nice long hike, walk, or run, but certainly not easy. Lots of hills and sand, and it's quite long. Well maintained, and well marked for the most part, although I would recommend taking the left fork when entering the south trail, because it is easier to follow.

This is an amazing state park. You have to hike to the beach. The views are absolutely stunning! There are 4 trails, the shortest is 1.5 miles round trip and the longest is about 5.5 miles. Definitely a must see.

Beautiful trails and beach! Dog friendly on leash. You will need the recreation pass to enter, available on site for those who haven't already purchased one. Vault toilets in the parking area. None on the beach, so plan accordingly bc it's a long walk back!

Great trail through the mature hardwoods to the beach, then along the beach for about a half mile.

At first, I was skeptical $15 dollars to look at flowers? The farm is gorgeous so many tulips you'd never had thought were tulips and at the end you can buy your favorite and get them shipped to you at planting time (October/November). They give you a booklet that has the names and codes of all the flowers to keep track of all the ones you want. Trust me it'll be a lot!

Awesome place to walk through, beautiful flowers. And a good place to pick up bulbs to plant your own garden of bulbs. Caution: wear tennis shoes to help walk the uneven ground, and bring wipes to clean up after walk.

It seems to me that this place is not quite the gem it once was. broken and worn, peeling paint and in need of weeding. for the price that is charged they sould have cleaned up in time for the tulip season. sad to see this place in such disrepair. the tulips however did not disappoint in their brilliant glory.

If you can do only one thing for Tulip Time, then this is the thing to do. We spent about 2 hours here. Captured amazing photos, and blown away by the amount of tulips here. The only negative is not very wheelchair/stroller accessible; you walk literally in the tulip fields. Admission is $15 for adults, and get there early if you want a good parking spot.

It s small but very pretty place. We might have visited on the last day so some flowers were wilted. But we saw a variety of tulips and flowers that I had never seen before. It's a cute little place with windmills and all resembling the original Holland. Will definitely visit again.

Nice but expensive ($17 per person). We liked the smaller city gardens near downtown Holland better. The shops are nice.

5-13-22 Nice place to visit once. You just walk up an down rows looking at the flowers .. not much else to do. There were bison there, an you could buy bulbs an gifts from the stores. You could also buy wooden shoes an glass ware, much overpriced IMO. The flowers were beautiful tho.

Absolutely gorgeous flowers; varieties I’ve never seen before! It’s also a lovely experience in the gardens; we saw a proposal there! Ordering bulbs for fall delivery was very easy, and Nick was hilarious.

Veldheer gardens are small but Gorgeous. The tulips were of varying shapes, sizes , colors and characteristics. Kudos to amazing garden and people. The place was crowded and you need to have patience to get a parking spot. The garden is not wheelchair accessible but there are lot of seating areas around. Make sure to check their websites for the best blooming time, also it wouldn’t be a bad idea to check local weather before your visit.

Beautiful rows of flowers. A photographer’s dream! Gets very crowded during the Tulip Time Festival, especially on weekends. You might have to park at Blain’s Farm & Fleet across the street. But it was absolutely worth the visit.

Tulips are beautiful already, and you can buy many perennial flowers at the store. I was there was discount on the ticket if you come less than 30 minutes before closing time 😁

Beautiful Tulips! Any color and variety you can imagine! Beautiful hyacinths so aromatic!! Not as pleasing to the eye was the run-down grounds. There is no water in the fountain or the canal. The signs need painting, and some of the benches were pretty rough. You can order whatever tulip variety you want while you are there. There is also a cute souvenir shop with all kinds of authentic Dutch crafts. It's definitely worth a visit during Tulip Time.

This place is very run down and not kept up. When you first walk in, instead of seeing beautiful tulips, you see run down displays. You would think for paying $17 a person, it would be maintained better. However, the tulips were beautiful further back on the property and in a great variety of colors and types. The workers were very friendly and helpful. It was a nice experience overall.

What a beautiful farm it is indeed!!! The farm is wide spread with all beautiful tulips. A huge variety and colorful tulips can be seen there. The farm also has a store selling some tulips bulbs and some gifts items. A must visit place if you are in Holland, especially at the time of Spring. One can find really good spots for capturing photos of you are interested in flowers, nature or even photography.

Beautiful tulip field, acreage of land with many many colors and options to order them in Fall. Was very crowded when I visited last Saturday. Parking was full and had to go circles in the field to find one. Entry fee was 15 per adult this year and you get nothing for free and just spend some time to see the flowers in the crowd. They had plastic restroom’s available. Just good to see once place. Note: they have notice saying 100$ file per flower damaged or plucked. Keep your kids on your side lol

This was my first time here and I went during peak season first weekend of May. It was GORGEOUS. So many flowers. I had no idea there were so many shapes and sizes and colors. I was truly in awe. Going to every flower with just pure joy and amazement. It was $15 to get in for adults, and while not much "to do" except sight see and take photos (also they have chairs all around to relax and enjoy the views!) it is still worth it as I spent a good hour and a half out in the field and walking around. I also visited the gift shop and got some cute goodies and yummy snacks!! The parking isn't as bad as it looks. Easy in and out. Walk wasn't far. They have portable toilets and they were clean and maintained. Overall a very fun visit! Perfect for photo taking and relaxing. 🌷

Such a lovely place! We visited after Tulip festival ( a week later), and we were still able to see all its beauty! Price cut as well, which was awesome.

If you like flowers, this is your place! Gentleman working the counter was very helpful. Spent way too much time and money there, but I just had to take some of the bulbs home to enjoy them next year? You will not be disappointed with a visit here. Don’t bring your drones!!!!

Cool boardwalk staircase that climbs a sand dune. A lot of folks use this as their exercise. 200+ stairs. Nice view of Holland State Beach and Lake Macatawa. Best done on a cool, less humid day....if those exist. Still had fun. Good way to burn some calories while doing a touristy things.

If you are looking for paradise, look about you. West Michigan is a gem hidden in plain sight. This is just one of many places of bliss in the state. Come see for yourself! You will not regret, unless you don't like stairs (There are 239 of them!). No dogs or bicycles allowed, though you can park your dog and/or bike just after the main entrance. Stay on the official paths and be a bro' by picking up any trash you or others leave behind. Keep the parks great!

This natural hiking area offers views of both Lake Macatawa and Lake Michigan. The trailhead is accessible by the bike trail and there is a dedicated parking area near by. Be prepared for a significant stair climb to start your hike. After this you’ll find a trek through the woods. The trail winds up and down, and the path is a mix of sand and packed earth. There is no Lake access from the trail.

Short but steep hike with lots of stairs - but the view was so worth it! Perfect view of the lake and lighthouse! Most of the hike is shaded, so it was pretty cool even on an 80+ degree day! Dogs are not allowed on the trail and parking is a couple blocks away - just follow the signs!

Phew-- the steps are steep and abundant but definitely worth it, the view is super stunning. There's also a trail you can walk but the rain had washed part of it out so we only went on part of the trail.

Fantastic walk through the dunes and a great stair climb (similar to Sanctuary Woods). It is 203 steps up on the wooden boardwalk staircase to the trail intersection, and just a few more past that to the overlook deck. While we hiked, others were making repeated trips up and down for their cardio workout (in silence) and five deer were close to them while they performed their workouts (accustomed to the relatively silent exercise). There is not vehicle parking immediately by the entrance, there is some a bit down the road to the west. If coming by bike, there are two bike racks to lock your wheels at, one just inside the entrance to the property, and a second one farther down the trail (which represents end of bike travel and only pedestrians after this point). Dogs are not allowed due to the tight quarters on the boardwalks and staircases. Please stay on the trails and resist the temptation to bush-whack or climb the sandy areas. There are a couple geocaches to be found at the time of writing this, and plenty of dune ridgeline paths to explore. God bless and enjoy the great creation He has given us.

My spouse and I enjoyed this trail hike immensely. The stairs will kill you, that’s for sure. But the views are worth it :-) just FYI the maps are not drawn to scale at all so the stairs will take the longest and the actual hike does not take very long.

Definitely worth the effort to climb up the over 250 steps stair for a good view of Holland, a health physical exercise too. I rested twice went up to the top but was ashamed to meet a woman there said it was her 15th consecutive round up and down in a roll non-stop today. Note that the free public parking is a few blocks from the park entrance, kind of a good warm up walk before going up the hill.

A must see on your way to Holland State Park! A quick walk up a few flights of stairs and you have stunning views of Lake Mac and Lake Michigan. The trails are excellent too. They're short but worth exploring! Do note that the parking lot is a little ways down the road from the park entrance, but it's barely a 5 min walk.

Great restaurant. The host was very helpful and got us a table much faster than expected. I ordered the pesto grilled cheese and tomato bisque and it was excellent comfort food. Highly recommend.

Best fried chicken sandwich ever! I order this sandwich with the dragon fire dry rub and it was incredible. It's not too hot with a bit of sweet flavor and the pickle relish made it perfect. We also ordered the pepperoni pinwheels which were very good as well. The atmosphere is family friendly with many items for kids if all ages.

Kind and helpful staff and cozy vibes. I loved the variety of holiday cocktail options they had to choose from! Our service was a little slow but our waitress did a good job of checking in from time to time. I would definitely come back here!

I had the BEST Reuben sandwich ever! The dark rye bread was soft and fresh! The corned beef was out of this world! Flavorful, lean, thick slices perfectly paired with tasty sauerkraut, melty Swiss cheese and just the right amount of their special sauce! It was SO good! The Cabin Fever brew was the perfect accompaniment! Highly recommend!

My family went here on a rainy Sunday, we were told that the wait for 5 was going to be an hour and a half, but we got in in 45 minutes. The place was half full so I’m assuming that they are having trouble finding staff like everyone else is. Our server was really nice but one thing that I noted is that waters are not complementary and everyone needs to ask for it which is weird for a place that serves alcohol and food. We only tried the brewery exclusive beer and it was just okay, nothing phenomenal. Food was also nothing to write home about either. Since we were at the home brewery we were excited to get different stuff at the store but everything that they had there for drinks was also available at any places that sells alcohol, disappointing. Probably not really worth a stop by over the other bars when you’re in holland unless you are a die hard dragons milk fan

New Holland Brewing on 8th Street in Holland, Michigan is a nice spot for a beer and food. Amazingly busy at 3:30 pm on a Saturday. Took about 30 minutes to get a table outside due to the coolness inside creating discomfort for some in our party. Once we were seated, had amazing service from waitstaff. Lots of different types of delicious beers in various sizes and presented in a variety of glasses. Food was good. Prices generally reasonable.

We loved everything about this. Our beer was great, the food was surprisingly excellent, and the decor made it a fun patio to hang out on. Overall this is a wonderful spot with high seating capacity and I would happily stop here again next time I am in town.

We tried several beers and as always, were impressed. Our server was Stephanie and she suggested excellent beers. We also got the spinach artichoke dip and it was fabulous.

Sat in bar area, very laid back and great atmosphere for eating, drinking and chatting. Food was very good, came out hot and pretty quick for how many people were dining in. Really enjoyed the corn dip and fried chicken sandwich with the dry rub

We had a reservation but decided we were ready for food and drinks 45 minutes early. They were great, got is in and took great care of us. Our waitress was fantastic. The entire staff actually was wonderful. The our pizza, the kid’s pizza and tenders were great. The beer was great. But the staff was what made our experience. Our son knocked over a glass of water and it was like a nascar pit crew, cleaned up, replaced, everything back to normal!

Beer flight was great! Dragon Milk was thick, tasty and not the level of beer in good means. Food was also good and matched well with beer. Definitely this is the spot to enjoy local beers in the area!

The place is good and service kind, located in Holland Downtown. I asked for the Elote Dip and was good! Even for a mexican who loves corn like me. Later, I ordered the pesto grilled cheese and I loved the flavor! I love the Ichabod beer, I can say that you can taste the fall in that beer! It’s one of my favorites beers. The fried chicken sandwich is good too because it has pickles which brings a twist flavor and the pepperoni pinwheels are soooo good too! It’s a busy place, so I recommend reserve before you go, most if you go with a group of more than 8 persons.

Great pizza's and beer. I will admit, my wife’s salad looked better than my pizza. It seems their entire menu is good. Everyone knows their beers are great, but I look forward to going back to trying different menu options.

This place was awesome, I'll go back for sure. We got the pizza something appetizer and it was delicious, I also got the carnivore pizza and it was really good too! Beer is great, servers are awesome, food is excellent as well. Just beware that there may be other humans that are also there at the same time as you. Avoid them if possible.

I love mostly all of new Hollands beers and wanted to enjoy them with food at their brewery and restaurant. They were out of their limited edition 25th anniversary but I was able to have a few other dragon’s milk beers including a triple mash 5 ounce pour. The beers were fantastic as expected. My entree was a medium spiced chicken sandwich that was average along with the warm fries and distracted service by the young waiter. Large split dining areas with a covered patio. Numerous bathrooms. Somewhat loud. Clean. I would definitely return for the beer and might try something else on the menu.

The brewery has amazing food and great beer! Highly recommended getting a flight to try several beers and get some good food. The small town is very friendly!

My daughter and I loved it! The elephant ear wasn't what I expected for $10 dollars,To be honest and their drink machine pumped out flat Coke. Other than that,My daughter and I had a good time. My boyfriend won a stuffed unicorn for me. Although I believe I've lost it. Other then that,It was great!

Fantastic selection of produce, flowers and bakery items. Don’t miss the hot pretzels with the side of beer cheese sauce. Delicious. I was a little shocked by a couple of vendors selling baguettes for $7 and more. That price is crazy to me and the bread felt pretty soft. For that price, it should be a French baguette with a crunchy outside and soft middle. The value in this place is definitely in the produce…and the pretzels!

The Holland Farmers Market is one of the best farmers market we’ve visited so far. They have an excellent mix of veggies, organic meats (incredible flavor,) flowers of all types and coffee. We’re from California and visited farmers markets in Los Altos (amazing too), Palo Alto, San Francisco Ferry Building, Amsterdam, Saugatuck and more. We love farmers markets! One thing that would be great is to get more taco trucks providing more food options beyond the great coffee that is being sold.

I grew up in Holland, and the entire Civic Center area has drastically improved. There are some enclosed booths (it was about 20° that day) and overhangs. There was even a warning booth with a heater. Great selection of locally made foods and gifts and plenty of parking (I was there on a December Saturday morning). And it's right there downtown, so we walked up 8th Street for some shopping and lunch.

I drive 100 miles up from Indiana to go to this market a couple times a summer. Need I say more? Everything is good, but I ALWAYS get white fish and I wait for the cling free peaches and load up. They have lots of everything. Great atmosphere.

Lots of great local businesses selling a huge variety of products including fresh produce from local farms, flowers and plants, meat, Lake Michigan fish, breads, coffee, and blueberries. Open Wednesdays and Saturdays from spring to fall.

We LOVED this farmers market! It’s a well established, large one. Lots of product diversity, from fresh, rare mushrooms to handmade elderflower soda. Food smelled delicious there too!!

Right in the heart of downtown Holland with loads with free parking is this wonderful farmer's market. It's definitely worth a visit to see the wonderful colors, support local businesses, enjoy tasty food, and people watch. The best surprise visiting this spot was eating the pretzels from Knot Spot. They were absolutely delicious! Best pretzels we have ever tasted! Soft soft and with loads of taste packed into them!

We travelled into the area in our class B van motorhome and found parking easily. We had our two Whippets with us and it was too warm to leave them in the van so we brought them with us. The market is AMAZING. Easily the finest farmer's market we have been to ANYWHERE. The quality of the goods was outstanding. Broccoli crowns as big as your head and reasonably priced. Same with Onions, Leeks, Tomatoes, etc. We bought stuffed pretzels and dip along with pretzel brad. All was amazingly good. Unfortunately, this is NOT a dog friendly venue. A police officer approached and said he was sorry because our Whippets are beautiful and so well behaved BUT he had to ask us to leave since dogs are not allowed anywhere in the market. He was very kind and respectful. It was unfortunate because we needed a great deal of what was being sold there and we brought $250 cash to specifically buy here but ended up leaving after buying pretzels. Big loss for the sellers. Really cool market if you don't have dogs. We won't be back unless we find ourselves in the area without our hounds.

Excellent produce and flowers. The blueberry donuts are awesome. Word of warning NO PETS ALLOWED. we live in our RV and travel all over the country, this is the first Farmers Market that our dog has ever not been allowed in. Surprises me, great market however will never return for this reason alone.

Went to tulip time 2022 not much for me to do there I didn't stay long food wagons cost to much for me and being diabetic couldn't eat anything they didn't have my favorite game coin dozer that was the only reason I went there

This place is a must stop when we come to Michigan-we love the fresh blueberry donuts! (We also bring a freezer bag and bring some home if they make it on the ride there) They also have blueberry ice cream that is very good! I got a small jar of blueberry mustard that was soo good on pretzels! Great place, nice people and an excellent selection of everything blueberry. I love local places like this! Thank you to the owner and the staff-keep up the good work.

We enjoyed the blueberry treats- we tried blueberry soft serve, blueberry muffins, blueberry handpies, and blueberry donuts. The only complaint I have is that my husband beat me at connect four. That part was really disappointing. We do still recommend a stop here, just don’t play my husband in connect four if you visit.

I stopped by the main location after learning about it at the downtown location. The store was nice with a lot of items, both edible and not, for sale, and the staff was cheerful. I made sure to buy a 2lb box of blueberries and some plums that were also in season. I also got some of their delicious blueberry donuts. It’s always cool to find a place like this. I hope to visit more in the future.

We had a great time picking blueberries! We only got enough to last us for a few days as a snack since we were traveling, and I was shocked at the reasonable price. My husband had a coffee as well and I enjoyed the quiche! We took some cobbler home as well and it was delish.

So I am at the bowermans cafe … it cost $10.60 for 2 cookies and 2 small coffees and I have been waiting 15 minutes for 2 black coffees. Not even busy and plenty of employees … just poor planning. First and last time … too many other places to get coffee quickly I’m downtown.

Best farm market anywhere, so cute, amazing produce, baked goods, gifts, ice cream, fudge and more. Fun atmosphere and a playground for the kids.

Go to place for blueberry U-pick. Nice large farm with pulpy sweet blueberries. Friendly staff at the store. Lot of confectionaries available at the store. The parking lot space can be improved.

Cute little market with the yummiest treats and most friendly staff. The blueberry doughnuts were amazing, as was the blueberry soft serve, and we brought home blueberry cinnamon rolls to try for breakfast. There are so many good things to choose from we had a hard time picking! There's a small play area outside with a wooden tractor/ trailer and wooden train that my one year old loved climbing all over. We'll be back to pick blueberries when they're in season and to snag a few more doughnuts.

Perfect for families. Great selection of products including local wine. It has been a staple for our family as long as we have been in the area. The donuts are legendary.

The ingredients of their “famous” blueberry donuts are awful, not to mention no real blueberries, just food coloring!! Also the highlighted ingredient is anti freeze. Feel lied too by this so called bakery.

Cute little shop full of all things blueberry as well as lots of other little kitschy knickknacks. We got the blueberry donuts that they are well known for and were not disappointed! We also tried one of their specialty drinks, the blueberry snowcap, which was a perfect refresher on a hot day. They even have a small playground out front for kids to enjoy.

Great summer activity or any time of year treat. Come here to pick berries to enjoy at home and stop in for a dozen blueberry donuts (the best in Holland), on a hot day cool down with a blueberry pretzel flurry, twist cone, or strawberry shake!

Well worth an hour or so. You get a nice overview of the development of Holland and the Dutch Heritage. The museum is well put together with a nod to the contribution of many locals in various foreign wars. There is plenty about early industry of the area and development of leisure in the area. The flyer has a scavenger hunt worth taking. Don't miss the clock, which was Holland's addition to the New York World's Fair Brought here due to the onset of WWII. The second floor has some antique furniture from Holland. Like hundreds of years ago stuff. There is some other paintings and ceramics from Holland as well. The coolest thing? The dog powered butter churner.

Very nice museum about the area and the Dutch. Many interesting items on display and a children’s area for them to work on their STEM ideas. Staff are friendly and the cost is only $7 for adults and $4 for kids.

We had a great time at the museum. Plan to spend a couple of hours to enjoy the exhibits. Very well done! Highly recommend a visit!

Had been a few years since I had visited, was very impressed with the exhibits. Saw many objects that reminded me of book by Lynn Austin called Waves of Mercy. Museum is worth the price of admission.

They do a good job of telling the story of their city and people. There were stories of war heroes and immigrants new and old. The docent was very helpful in tracking down the answer to a very esoteric question I had. I was impressed and would recommend it.

Very cool place. Friendly staff. One lady came running out of her office just to answer a question (she over heard) my daughter ask me, that I couldn't answer. A lot of history about Holland then and now. Cool paintings and even furniture. Awesome.

Engaging and fun museum of local history and customs. Includes some great old Dutch paintings on the upper floor that are well worth checking out. Adult entry is around $7 so not too steep. Worth a visit!

A nicely done museum with lots of history and art.

We spent 7 per person to enter. The museum is well organized and has many props and other media to provide insight into the history of the Holland, MI area. I especially liked the art exhibit on the second floor. There was an impressionist painting section that I especially liked. We toured the museum and art exhibits for about one and a half hours which was about enough time to walk through the areas. Overall, I would recommend stopping here as a visitor to the area or even as a local.

One of the most beautiful wedding venues in Michigan! Its historic charm and romantic gardens are reminiscent of the European countryside. I have photographed multiple weddings at The Felt Estate and can honestly say it is stunning inside & out!

Our daughter got married there on 09/16/23. Everything was absolutely OUTSTANDING!! Gorgeous venue and the wedding planner was out of this world! Everything went off perfectly, and a good time was had by all!

Felt Mansion is such a beautiful setting for a wedding. It provides the most amazing atmosphere for a couple’s special day. The property is well taken care of and the staff is kind, helpful, and very professional!

The staff at the Felt Estate are beyond amazing! I had booked our venue far in advance (over a year) and each step of the process was so easy for us, thanks to Derrick. He made each meeting feel as though we had all of his focus, even though he and the other staff had constant other weddings going on. The staff we had on the day of the wedding was amazing too- Danielle made sure the wedding party had bottles water, checked on everything for me, and was so calm! Our wedding party also opted to sleep over at the venue the night before the wedding, which was not only fun (when else will I have a mansion to myself?!) but practical: we were able to set the tables with linens, centerpieces, and place cards the night before the wedding! It's a truly beautiful venue and makes for a magical, unique wedding.

I had my wedding here almost two weeks ago now, and I just want to say how beautiful this venue is. Everything went absolutely perfect and so smooth, the day of coordinators were fantastic (Danielle and Tammy!) but also Derrick and Holden were there answering questions every step of the way, and were so kind and patient. I truly cannot recommend them enough, just absolutely amazing employees and venue.

I had the opportunity to shoot a wedding here (Emma Varley Photography) last year and it was stunning! This historical venue is full of picturesque spots! Whether you’re inside the library or out on the beautiful lawn this venue is a gift that keeps giving. I would highly recommend this venue to any couple!

The Felt Estate (Derrick & Holden) are so wonderful to work with. They were incredibly responsive throughout the entire process. If I had a question, they had an answer! On the day of, they were a dream team, getting everything where it needed to be in such a timely manner. Our wedding was beautiful thanks to this gorgeous historic estate and the team behind it!

Crazy amazing!!!! It's haunted and they have ghost tours there. I actually had the pleasure of my little cousin's wedding hosted there. Can't wait to come back!

The Felt Mansion made our wedding dreams come true. It was such a unique space, our guests loved exploring during our cocktail hour. If you want to have a dreamy, beautiful, jaw dropping wedding this is your venue. We had our ceremony on the steps of the cute little chapel on the grounds and moved from there right to cocktail hour spread out on the two patios of the main house. Our reception was held in the permanent tent on the back lawn. They recently laid concrete inside the tent and it made a world of difference. It looks so clean, light and sharp, its the perfect canvas for any kind of creative decor you can dream up. We couldn't be happier with our experience with the staff at the mansion. We planned our wedding from Denver, and they were quick to answer any questions that came up along the way and helped us figure out a lot of logistics. We couldn't be happier that we chose this for our venue, it was truly unforgettable!

My first time visiting and my first experience with the paranormal too. My sister was "scratched" (or burned?) by something and, no, I wouldn't have believed it either if I hadn't experienced it for myself. It happened in Dorr's bedroom which has facing mirrors. Apparently that's an issue(?) - supposedly that opens portals (?). Regardless, it was a freaky thing to see even if second hand. We didn't tell the staff because my sister was actually embarrassed. Still, it made for an interesting visit. Btw, zoom in on the window in these 3 pictures- see anything strange? I took them one after the other but zoomed in more for the last too. What is that white speck in the window? Thoughts?

A nice small Beach tucked away from the chaos at the State Park. It is a good place for people who want to walk the beach because it has public access all the way to the water. Then if you stay below the high water line, you can walk across all of the private beaches. I came here to run the 3.75 miles to the State Park Pier so that I could touch Big Red for the first time in my 10 years of living in Holland. The major drawback is that the beach is tiny so it's not great. If you have a group of people that want to hang out. There's probably about 50 ft between the boundaries of private property.

Amazing spot for a sunset! However, it's a bit of a trek to get to the top or down to the beach. You can walk the dune path or you can take the stairs but the stairs from the parking lot to the top are covered with sand so they're not always visible or easy to maneuver. Would not recommend this if you have a stroller or a wheelchair!

We visited this place during tulip time but still there was not even a single soul at sight. It was very peaceful and beautiful place to watch sunset(unfortunately it was cloudy when we visited). You need to do a small hike like half mile and it is little steep. Wear a good shoes as sand might get inside. There is just one restroom here and not sure how it was but looked little dirty from outside. There is entry ticket for this place. They do have parking space.

This beach is pretty much for people who are both ambitious and in pretty good physical condition. Gotta hike up the dune, then down to get to it. There are also stairs to get back up. They're exhausting too though! But it's a gorgeous beach and totally worth the work.

The beach is close-by to parking- as far as the crow flies- which is unlike other small public beaches along west Michigan's Fresh Coast. The steep slopes of loose sand on the way down to the beach, and even more so for the climb back up to parking will create a challenge for anyone not exercising regularly. The climb back out after a long day of activity can also serve as a free health screening on par or better than your average age 40 procto exam... But it's worth the effort! And perhaps that's always been this dune climb's best roll; which has been to protect this small local gem from overcrowding.

Nice little beach if you can handle the walk. Laketown is a very small but pleasantly sandy beach. The trek from the parking lot is a bit arduous as many of the steps are completely covered with sand. You basically have to scale a small dune to get to the beach. There is private property flanking both sides of the beach, so there is very limited space.

Street side parking. Not a huge beach, but adequate for a nice diiiiip. Not a huge hike, but there is some elevation to cover to make it to the beach and bake. Approximately 250 stairs. No restrooms or changing areas, come prepared. Perhaps a fine hill to roll a watermelon.

Beautiful beach but a hike we weren’t ready for! The stairs to the top of the dune was covered with a ton of sand so it felt like you were climbing the dune itself. The beach itself was small and limited in space, but was well maintained; no rocks or logs. There was a staircase from the beach to the top of the dune which gives breathtaking views.

The view was terrific. It was a little cooler than I anticipated, but the sun made up for it. There is a sand dune conservation in place. They ask you to stay on beach trails.

Nice little village of homes with mostly private property and members only signs everywhere. We stayed long enough to eat some pizza and capture a really bright sunset. Very tight spot. What you see is pretty much it for someone driving through.

Beautiful city garden. We were just driving through town, and it was so lovely we wanted to stop for a better look.

Lovely park in downtown! Love the art sculptures. Theres no tulips anymore but it is a beautiful park to walk or sit and relax. There a small wish pond with a beautiful bonsai tree and fishes.

The park was gorgeous with all of the blooming tulips. The benches were in good shape. The only thing that would have allowed us to spend more time there was a public restroom.

If you want to enjoy the park you have to visit it when flowers open. It's really a great place to relax

Went for the Tulip Festival. The park itself is very peaceful and well kept. The tulips that were still alive were gorgeous. Unfortunately, due to the wacky weather this year, there weren't many tulips.

This was a beautiful location we stopped while touring around Holland for the Tulip Festival. Super pretty gardens and plenty of space.

The park was great. I found it on a roadside America attraction and wanted to take the family. The wizard of oz garden was awesome The statues were amazing and the park centrally located down town so when you done at the park there is still lots to do around.

An incredible experience! The Dutch Dancing was an amazing experience to see! The local school children did really great and just the whole atmosphere was such a vibe!

This park is sooo gorgeous and welcoming. It was a pretty crispy day today, but impressed by all those showing up & showing out for the Allzheimer's Walk 2023!!! Blessings!!!

I was here the last wkd in April and the weather was ideal for the tulips to be in bloom! The park is smaller than I expected but it’s also early in the season and the water fountain and koi pond wasn’t running yet. Also, the living Oz book was still in the greenhouse so I missed that. There was a little yellow brick road and Wizard of Oz statues across the street that we checked out.

Very clean and well maintained. A wonderful place to hang out with friends or family to get some fresh air. Amazing variety in plant diversity and a delightful Koi fish pond as well. The paths were very well maintained making this place handicap/wheel chair friendly which was wonderful for my aging mother. Overall my family had an amazing time. Would definitely recommend and visit again. Got some very nice Materiny photos here. And cherry on top for any Pokemon Go fans still out there. This is a great and active spot to play.

Crazy busy the first weekend in May. Had the best happiest energy with dance and flowers and someone even had a live pet skunk 🦨 we loved it all. Lots of shade and bathrooms under the gazebo.

Beautiful park. The flowers are so pretty and it was a very nice walk, if we lived here this would 100% be a normal hangout spot.

Nice public square park, and very pretty during Tulip Time. Very nice houses on two sides of the park add to the charm here in addition to the Hope College campus. A nice tribute to military veterans, and a statue of the founder of Holland. The morning we visited, the college choir walked over for a photo session.

This was the tulip festival weekend and we got to watch the dancers and walked around the park for a but it was fun!

Beautiful park with fountains, a porch, and many benches to sit. It's a great trail to walk around to see squirrels and many beautiful flowers planted. I truly enjoyed walking around with my family and pet and taking memorable photos here.

Park workers were out in full force to keep the park looking beautiful. There was a wedding party there, as it's a great location for photos. Lovely flowers, nice fountain, very shady, lots to see, many places to sit. Great place for a walk with your kids, a romantic stroll, or just some quiet reflection. Located close to shops and restaurants.

It's already April and the flowers are in full force, I'm completely in love with this place! This place is worth a visit if you are passing through the Netherlands for just a day or less, don't miss it as it is open 24 hours.

Great views, walking trail, plenty of things to climb and get out and get moving. Highly recommend if you never have been.

Beautiful tulip garden, variety of colorful tulips makes this a must place to visit in Holland. There is no admission fee to this garden and it has lot more tulips compared to another garden with admission fee.

Tulips are in full bloom. Improvements and an addition of an ice rink made this 4 out of 5 stars

Loved all the beautiful tulips, and going up in the windmill and learning what they made in them was pretty cool.

Beautiful. We went mid April before all of the flowers were blooming. The play area for the kids looked fun and I plan on bringing my niece and nephew back this supper.

Wow such a beautiful park!! We came to see some tulips and were amazed at all they had to offer! So many beautiful tulips with so many different colors & types!! Definitely worth a day trip here! It was quite busy, we tried to keep away from the downtown area, because you can get caught in half an hour at least of very heavy traffic from the flow of both vehicles and pedestrians! But worth the chaos if you can see some of God's beautiful handiwork🌷😍

There's a beautiful path along water ..lots of trees n grass...bunnies, deer squirrels, swans n ducks have all been in view on walks..there's also an awesome natural playscape for kids in a fenced area

We went on a cold, windy day, but because of the wind, the tulips looked like they were dancing.

This is a great little park to take a stroll. It's still maintained, and the city keeps improving it with a wonderful playscape for children of all ages. Next up is an outdoor ice skating rink. Also huge gardens of tulips during annual Tulip Time festival.

Such a spectacular place to view the tulips for free during Tulip Time. Adjacent to the gardens, you’ll find a fantastic playground. Come here with the family and enjoy!! Easy walking distance from downtown Holland.

Found this gem during tulip time. It was free to walk through, had a beautiful playground area for the littles and a walkway along the water with a view of the windmill across the way. Plenty of space to not feel crowded too.

4-22-23...Free park with beautiful tulips. Adequate free parking. I would definitely recommend taking a walk in the park and enjoy the beautiful plants. They also have a nice kids area too.

The patty melt was amazing along with the stoner fries. The place was packed with people so that's saying something. There's tons of beer to choose from and mixed drinks as well. It's also nice too since it's kind of away from the busy side of downtown.

They have a capacity limit of roughly 182 I think so make sure to call ahead of time to ensure they have open room when major events are going on. The staff here are fantastic, friendly, nice, and they do their jobs Great. Had me some ribs to and it tasted great (I haven't had ribs in like 8 years (No Joke), bartender recommended the burgers which I'm definitely gonna have to come back for xD. They was even helpful in giving me some direction. The waitress kept bringing me water to to help with washing down the drink I had and I'm very greatfull because I haven't been able to drink enough water lately so that's a plus and great customer service (didn't even have to ask). 2nd day at the bar and the first time here I was recommended the Blueberry Gin & Tonic which btw tastes fantastic (even came with a lime), gonna have me another. 3rd day bought the Cubano like I was recommended and it looks, smells, and tastes fantastic (juicy and has a savory taste of smoked pork) . I'm drooling for this burger. Anyone wanting to come here should and I'm positive you won't regret it. Bring some friends/fam etc, you'll have a blast I promise.

Went here with a large group. They do not take reservations but you can do call ahead seating. But that didn't help because it wasn't busy when we called. But when we got there it was. But we sat out by the fire pits and grab some beers and went out there to wait. When We say down for dinner were at two different tables which was perfectly fine but the one table was served and finished before we got our food. It just is nice to let people know why and keep them updated because we had several small children that were super about waiting so long.

So far the beer and soft pretzels are incredible. Edits to come once we get our food. This food is everything I hoped it would be. Worth the drive to eat here. Next time I'm in Holland I will be back. A+++

Big Lake Brewing was a great time during our visit to Holland, highly recommend to anyone taking a vacation to anywhere in Michigan. It is worth the trip. The staff were very very nice, they had tons of beer options that were really good. Also have indoor and outdoor seating with Firepits large selection of swag too. The best part by far was the Happy Hour deal, you can get a full meal of appetizers and beers. Every appetizer we had was great and it allowed us to try more beers. We will be back.
