This was a great tasting! A tram takes you from a large, easy parking lot to the brewery. You can walk around and see the history, and of course taste some of their many beer, even the Colorado Natives. They serve the Coors light at 28 degrees! They also have a really nice fort shop! We stayed for a couple of hours and everyone enjoyed it!

First time here. We didn't plan on it, so we missed out on the factory tour. Not a big fan of giant corporate beer, but it wasn't half bad. The "free" tastings are very diverse, considering how many beers they make. I do appreciate that they honor the military. Every employee we ran into was extremely nice. They make sure that you have a great experience. May have to come back and do the tour.

I've been here pre Covid, and it was a great way to do a self guided tour and get 4-5 free beers! Parking is free, too. Golden is a really cute town to explore shops and restaurants. I would always see the most adorable puppies in town. When I have people who are new to Denver, I would stop at the Coors Tour and Red Rocks amphitheater when I went to Denver and it's always a good time! I haven't been post Covid so I cannot comment if it's still as many free beers

We drove out to Coors, but unfortunately they only provide tours Fri-Sun. Luckily, we were able to reserve a tasting which was an equally nice experience. Our shuttle driver gave us some brief history as well as our servers. The gift shop is loaded with fun merchandise to commemorate your visit.

This was a fun experience! I had to lurk on the website for several weeks to get my mid-May tickets for my friend and I. Everyone else in our group was on vacation from out of town. The tour guide was excellent, and the tour felt like it went by a lot faster then the estimated time on the ticket. I enjoyed the samples, a few of which were new to me. They are very strict about not sharing your samples with another person, but no problems there. There is a limited snack supply of chips, trail mix type bags, and caramel popcorn. The gift shop had a very good selection, and some of the items were very reasonably priced, I couldn’t say no to a tour glass. I truly appreciate that I could find items for less than five dollars. I’m glad I finally did a brewery tour, and that Coors was my first.

We stopped here on the way to Breckenridge from Denver since we all love Coors! Check in people were friendly until we got on the van and the driver was friendly also! It’s neat to walk the facility and see the stream where the water comes from! Very clean and neat facility, the price is very fair too! The tour guide we had was an extremely nice and kind human! You can tell, I think he was limited in his ability to share details sometimes or ask questions. He meant well and did his best! The coors was delicious and the best I’ve ever had! Tasted totally different than what we get on the East coast! Worth going for sure, gift shop was good too with lots of choices and sales and they sell growlers of fresh beer!

I went there earlier this year, right before the shut down actually. The tour was self guided! I’m someone who doesn’t like to stand in a group for too long because I get distracted. The shuttle service was very organized and the bus driver made great recommendations for us to see downtown while we were done. We had a great experience and the beer was so fresh! Can’t beat it!

Did the tasting since tours were pre booked for about a month out. Had a great time. Sampling was worth it. Staff let you try options before committing to a full beer. Gift shop was great. Even let me reschedule after getting stuck at work and being unable to make my original appointment.

This brewery is very enriched with history, exhibits, artifacts, and well educated employees. Everyone here is very helpful and polite. I loved seeing all of the different signage walking through the halls. I recommend the tasting tour to anyone coming through. I did not do the actual brewery tour, for reference. The sampling tour comes with free, reusable Coors themed cups, and a free Photo Booth.

I’m not a big beer drinker but I enjoyed the tour and experience. Mike was a great tour guide. Glad to check this off the Colorado bucket list and as a one time trip it was a fun way to spend an hour or so.

Neat to see the facility from the outside, but the tour itself is pretty underwhelming considering this is a giant facility. The tour has a small feel to it, like this could be any old beer brewery and not one of the largest in the world. You see bits of the brewing and packing processes on one brewing line. The tasting room at the end is like a generic uncle's basement. And you have to book 23 days out to have a chance at your pick of the tour time. Pretty meh overall.

Book in advance and check daily. Open only Fri-Sun but they can add Thu as well. You have free parking at close by lot where is a meeting point for the tour. They drive to the brewery itself. It is 1.5h guided tour with lot of interesting info about beer and factory as well. You will get 3 samples and you can keep alu glasses as a souvenir . Jesse was good guide, we had a fun time. Gift shop has very good prices and is affordable. If coming back to area, and with different group, I will go again :) you can leave you car parked there and explore city of Golden. Very charming place.

We visited the Coors brewery! Book your tour in advance as they book up quickly! We missed out on the tour but we were able to book a tasting in their tasting room! For a tasting you could enjoy 3 of their beers and you got a take home cup from each beer! Staff were Knowledgeable and friendly and there was lots of historic photos on the wall. The souvenir shop had some cool souvenirs and the prices were not bad! Overall a fun experience!

This tour was a lot of fun, super informative and it was really neat to see how all of the cans and bottles got packaged. Our tour guide, Anna, was absolutely wonderful and it was really neat to get to try a pre-prohibition style ale. Definitely recommend the experience for anyone who’s looking to do something unique.

This is a must do brewery tour when visiting Colorado! The brewery is in a beautiful location and the tour as well organized. You get three tastings of beers. That normally aren’t at the grocery store. The staff is really fun and talkative. Just a warning at this high altitude you will get tipsy fast. They also have a great gift shop.

Amazing experience and definitely would come back! Our tour guide were very friendly and informed, and great about answering questions! Super easy process of arrival, check-in, and then being bussed to the campus. The samples were great and felt super special being to have them right at the source! The gift shop/lounge was a great way to finish the tour with plenty of options for beers to try or take home! The small store beat my expectations for gifts and souvenirs as they go way beyond the normal cheap stuff you normally see, and have plenty of options for anyone! The tickets go on sale about a month prior so definitely plan ahead if you're thinking about it! I think there was also a bus that only went to the gift shop and lounge of you miss tickets or decide later. Overall a wonderful experience and couldn't recommend more!

This was an excellent museum that contained the personal belongings of William Cody along with a vast display of posters for his various performances. The film of his life story was excellent and recently updated. The museum presented a balanced view of his extensive career and was very well laid out. Very educational for all ages. He was forward thinking pro-women’s rights and pro-native American rights. With his successes came failures which were accurately described. There is a lunch place and gift shop next door. The grave is beautifully preserved and of course the panoramic view from Lookout Mountain is amazing. There is a lot to absorb so give yourself time to really explore the exhibits.

What a wonderful walk back into history. The museum is a wonderful 1st class facility full of so much information. Then when you step outside, The view is stunningly Beautiful. It takes your breath away. And I don't mean High elevation 😁 wise. Between the observation deck looking down on Denver and being surrounded by the Mountains 🏔️. And if that's not enough, go to the restaurant and grab a Bison burger or a bowl of Bison chili, and finish that with some Ice cream. After you have enjoyed all of that, I then suggest walking into the awesome gift shop. Finally when you walk out of the gift shop take the small hike up to Buffalo Bills Gravesite. What a wonderful time we had.

We were going to take some hiking lookout mountain trails but we stopped here first and we walked up. It's a small walk up a hill and you see Buffalo Bill's grave and you find out a little bit about him and who he was what he did. There is a quaint little shop at the bottom of the hill that we really enjoy going through. Bought some stuff there. It is a museum but it wasn't opened at that time so we didn't go in there, but did we walk around the area? And we're saw some pretty good lookout spots. Very nice. Without the museum I took about 45 minutes to walk around and look at everything

Absolute gem in a beautiful mountaintop location! A well executed museum that has some really interesting artifacts related to Buffalo Bill Cody and the people who worked in his Wild West Show.

I was glad I finally made it up here with a friend who’d already been. We walked up from the lower parking. And the people before us paid it forward so my friend and I got in for free. We came in partway through the educational video and loved it, kudos to the museum for making it. The exhibits were neat too, I like sitting on the horse that moves, the jolt was surprising haha. I enjoyed my time here. You can visit the grave and not the museum, but I got something out of it. I also loved the gift shop. So many quirky things!

Really enjoyed our visit! You'll want to spend at least an hour looking through the exhibits - a lot of historical Buffalo Bill items. But would start with the short video presentation that nicely outlines his somewhat complex life. A very nice gift shop, packed with a lot of souvenir items, but at reasonable prices.

Look out mountain and Buffalo Bills Grave and Museum Golden Colorado Museum is Free: THE FIRST WEDNESDAY OF EACH MONTH, NOVEMBER THROUGH APRIL! There’s plenty to see and do An extensive museum, the grave site, picnic area, trails and buffalo view are great. The gift shop is really cool too. If you like the Old West the Buffalo Bills Museum is a great one. I’ve also been to the one in LeClare Iowa.

The gentleman who checked us in was very memorable, funny and sweet. He took a genuine interest in making sure me and my husband enjoyed ourselves. Don't skip the movie! It's only 20min and if full of wonderful information. There isna short walk to the grave site and it has beautiful views.

What a cool thing to stumble upon. I had no idea this was here, and saw the sign as we were driving up to the Georgetown Mines. So on the way back I had suggested a detour to stop and see one of the most famous wild west men to ever live. His story is super fascinating and they have alot of really great artifacts of his. I highly recommend the stop. The museum is only five dollars, and really something you can't pass up at that price. It is not huge, I think it took me about 20 min to see each exhibit and read the signs and stuff, it could have been longer if I had watched the movies. They also have a cool spot for the kids to dress up in wild west outfits and get pictures taken.

Really enjoyed the Buffalo Bill Museum free day! I went in with minimal knowledge about this man (My companion laughed at me for thinking it was going to be about the NFL… 😂). Loved learning about this cool guy. Would recommend to anyone!

Small and informative, awesome stop if you’re in golden. It can oversee the town but make sure to watch the 20 min video. It’s crazy to think buffalo bill did all this a little over a 100 years ago.

Great views from the top of the mountain. No wonder Buffalo Bill wanted this to be his resting place. Very well kept, clean and well lit, signage throughout. Short walk up the hill to the grave. Nice gift shop with great gift ideas and handmade items. A small cafe. A great museum with a great story. I would highly recommend?

A lot of fun! It was a beautiful drive up the mountain and a great view! In the museum, there was a lot of cool info on Buffalo Bill and his life and impact. Lots of really cool artifacts and the video was cool! The kid area was well done and would be great for kids of all ages.

Definitely make this stop while you're driving over Lookout mountain on the Lariat loop! A very short walk to the ornate gravesite of the famous Buffalo Bill - includes scenic views from the parking lot, informative signs, and a full gift shop with a small cafe that serves some food and beverages! There is an option to walk on trails that connect to Lookout Mountain Park as well.

Didn’t know anything going in, and while the museum is small it packed a lot of information in and I learned a lot. On top of that, amazing views from lookout mountain and a fun gift shop as well. A worthy tourist spot even though the whole process probably takes 45 minutes at most.

Lived out here for almost 37 years, and have never been up here to see this place. There’s not much to look at it. We went on a Saturday and it wasn’t busy at all. There’s a mini food court and a museum that you have to pay to go into. Overall, it was a quick trip that we stayed for less than a 30 mins to look at.

Really awesome. A must for anybody like likes history or the old west. The drive up was fun, awesome views, gift shop, grave and the exhibits are amazing. Very affordable to get in and I spent several hours here. Best 5 bucks I've spent in a while.

The views from Lookout Mountain are really incredible! I came here with friends a few years ago while visiting Golden, CO & it was an awesome experience. The drive to the top is really beautiful, too!

Came here to do some hiking. It was the beginning of March. We did find some signs to find some trailheads, we started down a few and then they turned to ice and nobody had yak tracks so we didn't get to go very far on any of the trails. It was a very pretty spot. There were some places to look out over the valley.

Lookout Mountain is always a nice place to take a hike with family and/or friends. You can also have a picnic or barbeque here, but check with park services beforehand. It is somewhat busy on weekends with many locals and travelers around. Every once and a while you may catch a nice car in the parking lot.

Views of mountains- snow capped, rocky, and prairie looking. Can see city views too. You can see as far as your eyes will let you. When we were there today, hang gliders soared over the clearings! We took a mountain road up and a mountain road down…..no comparison to the main highway. The views are breathtaking if you dare look out the windows to the sides. 😵. I did a lot of holding on and eyes closed!

Always love going up here when I need to clear my mind. Was having a rough week and a ride up the mountain on the ninja was the boost I needed. It was a bit of a stormy day which made for some bmgood pictures.

Beautiful views of Colorado, even in the winter! Huge parkinglot and very nice gift shop that has just about any kind of souvenirs. Food items, snacks, and home made fudge. Women's restroom is inside but the men's is outside and seems to have been locked, so definitely hit up a restroom before coming here.

Great view onto the Eastern planes and Denver. Buffalo Bill's grave is also there. Very cool view of the twin mesas leading into the mountains.

Beautiful views of the city of Golden. You can see Coors Brewery as well. Interesting drive from Golden to the top. Windy and much colder than down in the city. Free parking, Buffalo Bill Grave and museum close by.

One of the most beautiful and breath-taking views I have EVER seen! Absolutely gorgeous. Going up the mountain I certainly felt the difference in heart rate and breathing but upon stepping out of the car for fresh air it began to calm. The air feels softer here. The trail is amazing all the way around. Wonderful sights to see when the snow is melting down. The parking areas are small spaced but available every so often. Rest areas available quite frequent as well. Perfect place to watch the sunrise/sunset or enjoy a nice picnic in the outdoors.

Oh, I think the major issue is that on the times that people actually had to be able to go see it and when people are vacation is typically the weekend I get that they rent it out for wedding venues, but Truly would love to be able to see it without actually having to miss work. The crowns are beautiful plenty of parking. Easy to get to.

Wanted to get some fresh air to clear my head took this short drive from my place and went to the lookout mountain,I love the drive going up hill and down the hill overlooking the city Unfortunately it started raining so I didn't get to hike down the trails.theres the Buffalo bill museum once you get to the top and a gift shop.

I have had the pleasure of photographing several elopements now at Lookout Mountain, in all seasons of the year! Whether it's summer and sunny, or 10 degrees and snow covered, this is such a breathtaking place to say 'I do'! We are so fortunate to have such a beautiful spot just minutes from downtown Denver, with wide open mountain views, beautiful groves of trees, and wonderful hiking trails. If you are planning an intimate elopement, you can't go wrong here!

If you have an hour to spare, and you were visiting near Golden Colorado… You must go up here! It's not that far of a drive, just passed the Coors brewery, maybe about 20 minutes up… And you'll come across one hell of a view! Buffalo Bills museum, and him, and his wife's burial site. An awesome little store with numerous souvenirs to purchase, a delicious, buffalo burger joint, and really wholesome friendly staff. But you don't have to take my word for it… Get up there and check it out for yourself. Safe travels.

This is a must see for anyone with a love for rail and history. There's a ton of train cars and engines. I went on a day where they weren't doing train rides, so I didn't get to do that, but it's probably the only way it could have been better. There's an online exhibit companion that is also quite good and gives you some additional history about each exhibit. Be sure not to miss the HO model in the basement, that thing is legit.

This was a fun museum. This place has an actual train ride around the museum (there is an extra fee for this). You can tour many of the old rail cars. There is an impressive model railroad inside and larger scale model railroad outside. This would be a fun visit for a family with kids. Bring quarters to see the model railroad inside come to life

Great museum! I recommend going on a Saturday because they have train rides! I went on a Friday, so I didn't get to ride a train, but they had several cool engines and cars to look at. It's a lot of fun. Don't miss the basement and the awesome model!

We had an amazing time visiting the museum today! We got to ride in a beautiful passenger car pulled by a locomotive from 1890 and got to try building railroad by hand. The volunteers were very friendly and wonderful sources of information. We bought a membership and will return soon!

This is a really great place to go with kids.. You can go around outside or you can also go inside they have a model train in the basement that you can look at how its setup and run. They have history of the Colorado Railroad and how it had started.. I do have to caution though there was quite a few different rail cars outside that were not open to the public. Masks are required in side the building.

A great place to spend a couple of hours immersing yourself in everything "railroad". Tucked away in an off the beaten path location in Golden, but wonderful view of the mesas above the museum. Our grandsons from Omaha loved the visit - they didn't want to leave! The roundhouse where they work on the locomotives is great to see.

Price is fair. Not much going on, I would say if you just need to stretch some time or don’t mind a 30 minute visit this is it. Or maybe you just love trains. Went on a Wednesday so no actual train ride on Wednesdays. The mini train exhibit down below was ok very cool display. I just remember seeing a miniature world in California at a museum once and I assumed it would be like that which is the only reason why I went. It wasn’t So we walked about the yard only a few trains you can actually walk inside and even then it’s a plastic shield preventing you from walking actually through the cart, so you can only look from a distance. Outdoors was another small town with a bigger train set. The men outside where awesome talking to us and sharing the history of the trains. Best part of the entire visit. We arrived at 9:05am left at 9:50am.

I enjoyed the museum but I love trains. All the docents were very informative about the many trains on the property. The train ride took us around the property 3 times and the guide had many stories to tell. Very interesting and I would return again.

This is my first time coming to this railroad museum, and I'm amazed with all the artifacts and equipment they have in display. It's great for all ages and plus they have a large garden railroad display. Few kids interact area and play area. You are able to get into some locomotive and Rail cars. A must see is the large ho scale model train display in basement of the station that took basically 54 years to create! Definitely a must visit when coming to Denver!

My daughter and I love train museums and she came into town to visit for Christmas. She saw this Museum online so this was part of her itinerary before she left. We had a great time looking at all the trains and the videos! While we were there we saw so many excited kids tooting the train horn! This is truly a family-oriented activity that can be done any time of the year!

Train museum. 10 acres outside of trains and cars. Wear comfortable shoes and enjoy. Great 2 story indoor displays to enjoy with a well stocked gift shop. Also working ho train tracks in lower level.

It was a lovely family day spent viewing the displays and riding train around the park. We have a toddler so did not stay long. I totally could stay a couple more hoyrs.

My daughter and I went here today for the first time in forever and it's still pretty fun! It's great for young kids and train lovers. Bring sunscreen! Lots of outdoor walking and lots of places you can't go into unfortunately. Overall worth the money!

We lucked in to visiting on steam engine weekend so we got to ride the train around the grounds for $4/person plus the $10/person entry. Really enjoyed the model railroad in the basement, all the full size trains outside, and we even got to push the turn table! There were lots of train experts on the grounds to answer any questions and give tours of various engines and cars. We spent about 2.5hrs and really enjoyed the museum.

Stopped by to look at all the cars on display. It was a great way to spend about an hour and a half. There's 15 acres to cover and no shortage of vintage cars to look at and read about. Several cars are open for walkthroughs, my personal favorite being the USPS car. The gift shop has a lot of interesting items as well. The yard is set up in a way that if you follow the sidewalks, you'll see everything. Don't be afraid to walk on the gravel, wear good walking shoes. It's uneven surfaces in many places. The restoration building feels like a time capsule.

Truly fantastic experience, the number of trains on show, as well as the model trains running is amazing. Been able to visit the restoration shed is also awesome. But the highlight has got to be the train ride.

A lot of railroads are private property so you don’t really ever get the chance to see some of these trains upfront and in person. This museum was a great deal, easily spent 90-120 min walking around, reading, and learning.

This is really a great museum and 5 stars are not enough to express my rating. The museum has a great collection of engines and cars from different eras so you can experience the railroad at its finest. For me the most interesting parts were steam engines and being able to see these marvels of technology under live steam was something you cannot forget. The staff of the museum is super helpful and nice, and all of these people share passion, dedication and love for what they do. Special thanks to Art and Brett! And if you visit the museum - just consider donating more than the price of the ticket - it is just worth supporting this amazing place!

We loved our first visit to the museum and are already planning to return! Everyone was so friendly and knowledgeable. So much geared for kids that made the experience wonderful for me and my kids alike. We loved riding the Galloping Goose and look forward to riding a steam powered train when we go next.

My youngest son has a passion for trains. As we had some time in Colorado this weekend this was a must-stop. We ended up spending several hours there. This is a very interactive and neat place to visit. We were able to go on the train ride, and explore the grounds. Staff is very friendly and helpful, this is a treat for anyone, even the ones that may not be so passionate about trains.

If you wish to go back to your childhood days when we all were fascinated by trains and railroads do visit this museum at Golden. This museum has some rare collections of old engines and train compartments for you to explore. They have some old pictures from 1850s and 1900s to learn about the history of railroads in Colorado. The tickets are affordable around 12 dollars including tje train ride. Kids below 5 are free. One improvement area is the cleanliness of this place and the railyard can definitely be more organised.Should visit with your kids

We recently had the pleasure of riding the Polar Express. It was perfection! Every last detail was thought of. From the pre-show, that was delightful, to the fact that they had crayons and templates for children to keep themselves busy with, to the little details (like the mailbox where one can mail a letter to Santa), to the boarding process (by color), to the beautiful engine and cars, to the performances on the train and Santa at the end, we loved every minute! It’s not the least expensive thing we’ve done, but I think it was worth every penny.

It's a railroad Museum - what else can I say. Infinitely awesome place if you're into trains or you have a kid.

I have been wanting to visit the Colorado Railroad Museum for many years. Primarily because I wanted to see the F9's that pulled the California Zephyr, but this museum is so much more ! Our Grandson enjoyed the expansive model train layout in the basement of the station, as did my wife and I. The motive power collection is enough to excite any rail enthusiast. The Garden Scale layout is the best I've seen. I have read the stories of the Galloping Goose(s), and here are 3 of them. The Pikes Peak Cog units are here too. The Roundhouse displays units in the process of restorations and repair. Last, but not least is a fully staffed resource and learning center/library who were able to provide materials and answer most any questions and show drawings and photos. We will return !

An amazing state park to visit. Amazing trails and places to fish and hunt. Many of the trails allow for bicycles or horse riding. There is also camping available. For a $10 daily fee, it's absolutely worth the drive from Denver. I highly recommend at least a day trip out, or plan a weekend. Plenty of aspens to see them turn in the Fall.

Incredible state park!!! Great services (parking and restrooms) and accessibility to get parking passes. Wide variety of activities available, open year round!!! The most incredible views of the Continental divide if you gain some elevation. The view from panorama point is one of the best in the U.S. variety of difficulty and length hikes makes for an interesting time each time. Great that dogs are allowed on leash! Highly recommend, coming from someone who lives down the road!!!

Good park. Nice trails. Outstanding views at the top. Could use a little better signage in some areas including on trails and along the perimeter so you know where to enter via car. Need better and more frequent updates online for conditions like Staunton.

My daughter and I have started exploring backpacking trips, we hiked Mountail Lion trail today (7 mile loop), we finished in 4 hours and 7 minutes including snack and rest breaks. It was fantastic!! Parking was easy, the trail was well marked, beautiful terrain. Walked next to a creek for a chunk of the hike which our dog loved, the trees provided a lot of cover, light rain halfway through that was beautiful. All around great experience!

Amazing area all year long. By far the most beautiful fall foliage unless you want to drive a few hours west. Absolutely amazing hiking, views, and area. HOWEVER, parking usually takes a long time, so show up early or drop your friends off and hope for the best. That is the only reason it is 4 stars, everything else is amazing.

Nice drive, plenty of trails to hike. The views from Panoramic Point are amazing, especially with the high mountain peaks still having snow.

The park is beautiful, only bad thing is they should provide trash cans or something at the beginning of the trail because for some reason folks think leaving their plastic poop bags on rocks is better then just flicking biodegradable poo off the trail. Some of the trails are pretty extreme too if your not use to hiking in a rocky area.

We didnt spend too much time here, but what I did notice was: the roads were wide, well kept, and not too steep for basic cars to access. Restrooms were plentiful, well built and clean. Pay stations were located throughout. Parking appeared ample. Signage and maps were up to date and clear. View from the observation deck at Panorama Point was beautiful. Of course, the nature itself and Raccoon Trail were great! Definitely will be returning! 😁

It's a park and I didn't camp out stay overnight but the views, the wildlife, and the cool fresh air can't be beat. I was there in early May and snow was still in patches but the streams were moving fast with snow melt. Traveling in to the park is a difficult drive on switchbacks and be warned, it will be uncomfortable for queasy passengers. For me it was worth it.

So many trails to choose from, and what a lovely State Park! cabins, yurts, camping sites and even a big ranch house! Hiking, fishing, horseback riding, great views. If you are looking for a place to enjoy mother nature, this is it!

We went here to hike Raccoon Trail. It was amazing! The aspens were beautiful and the views were breathtaking. There are bathrooms at the trail head and on the trail. It is a loop although you will start and end on the same trail. It is very well marked and listed as moderate which is very accurate. It is listed as 2.5. My Garmin came in right at 4 but we did some wandering in one of the campgrounds. A beautiful hike!

So many beautiful secluded trails to hike! Would highly recommend for good site seeing, long trails and also a great place for dogs. There’s creeks that run along the base of the trails. Roads are all paved and maintained

Love this park. I feel like it’s a hidden gem here in Colorado because I didn’t know about it until recently, and I grew up here. Beautiful work with a few ponds, nice scenic drive, some hiking trails and visitor center. Went hiking here last summer and rain into a moose on the trail. Back away slowly and found a different path back. Be sure to lookout for wildlife and be safe

There are no bad trails in the state park. There is everything for everyone from short and easy trails to more advance. Regardless what you chose to do you will get great views. It’s $10 day pass. We personally liked the park during the week when there was less people.

We spend a really good time there. Hike was not difficult, even for kids, but this viewpoint was beautiful. We have a picnic in this area and there were a lot of birds, they come on our table. I recommend it for family trip.

Great state park with some historical sites. Lots of trails, fishing and good views. Campsites that go quick and a few large group facilities.

Gorgeous, great views - lots of great kid and dog-friendly hiking trails with restrooms and picnic tables. Parking can be sparse during peak times. You'll need a pass which can be purchased at the visitor's center, which also has great, informative and interactive displays. Rangers were very friendly too.

Nice state park, but I think 10 dollars a day is too much.

We camped there for the night on a camper van road trip. It was close to Denver for the early morning return the next day. Site 39 was level and close to the bathhouse with a nice warm shower. Check In process was easy.

A hidden gem! We enjoyed the loop trail from the vista point - it was a day after rain and we ran into different types of mushrooms. Also don’t miss the big black moose - not too far off the trail and beautiful looking creature!

Decent, if small, museum - but it isn't great for little kids. The rocks and minerals are well labeled, and one could spend 15-60 minutes here depending on interest levels. The "mine" on the lower floor completely freaked out my kids (both under age 6) because it's dark and some recording starts growling when you go in. It even ruined a visit to a much bigger museum the next day that had an area that looked vaguely similar. Staffers are pretty nice, if quite hands-off.

I had an amazing time, I'm usually tired when comes to rocks, and gems and stuff but I had so much fun here and learned a lot. I could have easily stayed here all-day.

This was a phenomenal museum. A hidden gem that is part of the School of Mining. Very well displayed collection of minerals, crystals, gold and metals, fossils and even a moon rock. This place was amazing and very educational. It also tells the history of mining in Colorado. Definitely make this a priority destination if you are in Golden. The exhibits were so vast and laid out by countries so the rare specimens were highlighted. A true delight. We took 2 hours and a still could have used more time. Very interesting fracking exhibit.

This is a great museum of minerals, crystals and earth science. The two photos are my self collected monazite and fluorite I found at my mining claims in Colorado. They have a great display of minerals from Colorado and around the world. And it is FREE. They do have a donation box. So if you have a few bucks you can donate if you like. Enjoy 😁

Lovely visit to the museum, it is free to enter! Learned a lot here- two floors full of knowledge! As it is a museum for the University, it is not geared towards young children (not much interactivity, more focused on displaying), but I saw children appreciating the rocks. For new and returning visitors, looking at these rocks and minerals is timeless!

Such an impressive collection of geological specimens. I was impressed the moment I walked in. The exhibits are beautifully displayed along with some cute, family oriented options. The exhibits feature a fue unexpected surprises to me. They had a sample from the Apollo 15 Moon landing, some examples of geological applications in technology, and prices pieces of history.

A great place to visit, with a massive display of every kind of rock, mineral, and crystal specimen that you can imagine. Two levels of exhibits, organized by where the specimens came from - all the counties of Colorado, different parts of the US, and many foreign countries. Every display is visually stunning with amazing shapes and colors. There is also a display of nice fossils, meteorites, and moon rocks. A great place to bring the kids! Admission is free, but parking fee is now required just within the last two weeks - $10

I wasn’t sure about the parking situation so we parked at a public parking area just over a quarter of a mile up the hill. Apparently parking is free on Sundays so that was nice. The gift shop is right in front of the museum, so clever! This is a really decent free museum. We enjoyed looking at all the gyms and reading the informational placards. There is an upstairs area as well as a downstairs area.

What a great experience! This well exceeded our expectations on the number of rocks, minerals, and gem stones available to see. We also enjoyed the interactive mine display and glowing gems!

Really nice museum, and it's free!! If you go on the weekend, parking is free, so I'd suggest doing that. I'd budget 30 minutes to one hour of your time to see this museum -- there are lots of cool geodes, minerals, etc to see there. Samara was great with answering my questions before arrival and the person working at the desk when we visited today was also really nice. We will definitely take visitors here - what a great experience!!

We stopped here after a field trip to the Phoenix Mine (a must if you are in the area!). What a fantastic museum! If you have kids, be sure to stop at the front desk to get the fun scavenger hunt! My kids loved running around with a purpose. Don't miss the "cave" downstairs. The luminescent rocks are beautiful. The young woman at the front desk was so well educated and spoken on rocks, my children loved asking her questions. Bring $5-20 to pick a geode and use their amazing machine to chop it in half! They are true treasured possessions now.

Had so much fun exploring the museum with my friend's daughter. She loved going into the mine & seeing all the uv reactive crystals. My favorite part was definitely all the exquisite lapidary art & the giant opal 😍🩵 the museum is free to visit & I definitely recommend going. Great for people of all ages

Great place to clear mind and soul. The stairs walking up the shrine is little hard for people who’s not use to elevation but the spirits around you will help you get through it. Looks of little reads as you walk through the stairs of station of the cross. Great visit and nice overlooking view when you reach the top. You can even see downtown when clouds are clear. Quiet place and beautiful scenery. Pray and meditate.

The solemnity of this space will bring on a fair share of emotions, for me, on Thanksgiving Day, I chose express gratitude. I am grateful that truly quiet and meditative spaces still exist in our very connected world. After traveling up 70W to 40, as you wind around the road, you will see the long gated driveway. Travel up to the top and park in the lot by the entrance to the spring or the chapel. Climb up the stairs if you want to visit the shrine, or walk toward the bathrooms if you want to visit the spring, or walk over to the museum, garden, chapel, or gift shop (at the parking lot level). Honestly, it didn’t feel right taking pictures, this is a resting place for some and a memorial for others, so I am simply sharing pictures from the Meditation Walk, Museum, and Chapel. Blessings.

The trail up to the statue is amazing. Steps in tens so you can pray the rosary. Stations of the cross on the way up. The chapel and gift shop are gorgeous. Amazing views, absolute must visit

Amazing peaceful, beautiful retreat and pilgrimage site. I was most blessed to stay in the hermitage. Make sure to bring your own toiletries, but towels and sheets are provided. Also, paper and plastic serving wear is provided, but bring your own reusable utensils. The food tasted homemade and absolutely scrumptious, breakfast, lunch and dinner with tasty desserts! There were so many places to walk and pray, one can find serenity and peace here.

We joined the Shrine Chapel's congregation for Mass at 800 am on Sunday morning, just two days after watching the premiere of Cabrini on the big screen. It was a great service with a powerful message. My wife and I were both struck by the beauty of stained glass windows lining the walls of the building. Afterward, we climbed the staircase to check out the statue of Jesus and thoroughly enjoyed the views. Shout out to my wife, who braved the icy steps in a pair of heels. Afterward, we visited the Grotto Chapel, made a donation, and lit candles while sharing in a prayer. Finally, we sipped water from Cabrini's miracle spring and completed a lap in the Rosary garden. It was a great morning, and concluded a weekend honoring this great Saint and her good works. Everyone in Colorado, regardless of faith, should visit and enjoy this unique homage to Mother Cabrini.

This place is so beautiful. I bring friends from out of town all the time even if they’re not Catholic. You most likely won’t get service up there. But the drive is amazing and it’s super close to Denver. If you would like to buy a candle that you can light in the chapel, you do need to go inside of the Gift shop. The candles are five dollars for a smaller one. You can also pay a dollar to light a tea light candle inside the chapel as well. But the chapel is down below by the entry to the stairs of the statue. They are currently doing construction but there are no issues getting into the building. During the week there’s only one staff working and during the weekend there’s a couple more which makes it faster. We definitely recommend buying a candle and then going and lighting in the chapel. There’s so many things to see. If you’re willing to do the stairs it’s definitely a hike, you want to make sure that you take some water with you and wear good shoes. But the view is amazing. And of course, the statue at the top is worth it as well. This is just one of those places that you have to come and see there’s nothing that can describe in words. A little piece of Heaven on heart.

This place was beautiful and felt good being there with my family. 67 yrs old didn’t stop my mom from walking 365 steps up.

Been twice in the last 2 weeks..something about this drive, and the visiting the gift shop. Feel a great sense of peace and inner joy. Definitely recommend this for your loved ones or just a day trip with you favorite person.

Beautiful pilgrimage experience. Grotto, rosary garden, stations of the cross, Divine Mercy statue and the 10 commandments all gave me a sense of renewed faith. It was like a Catholic buffet! All you should eat!

A beautiful place for prayer, and the home of a great patroness of Colorado. I love making small pilgrimages up here every so often to pray and reflect. Here’s a basic itinerary you can use! Typically, I will start by praying a Divine Mercy Chaplet as I walk down to the fountains that have the miraculous water. I drink the water and say a prayer to enter into Jesus’ Thirst. Then, I will pray the stations of the cross up to the Jesus statue. After some silence at the top, I will pray a rosary on the way back down the stairs and end with a prayer in the Chapel. If you can attend Mass while here, even better. Be sure to check out the gift shop and learn the history of Mother Cabrini and this holy site.

My first time visiting and I was not disappointed. The views are beautiful from here where you can see gorgeous rolling hills with the plains and downtown Denver, DTC and chatfield lake. There are 390 steps from the parking lot to the statue. Definitely worth it! There is also a small chapel, museum, gift shop, and a couple small gardens. Not far into the mountain and it's definitely worth a visit!

We did not get the memo that Heritage Square was just a few rides for infants left. They were beaten out of their lease by a big corporation. In 2015 the big corporationstarted doing things to make them leave. It use to be a fun family environment. It is now totally closed.

Wish I had never gone. Called the owner to request a refund (after having walked in and out) and he called me a liar and was exceptionally rude. No wonder he's going out of business. Karma is not going to be good to you, Alan.

Great actors, great fun and affordable. Love that they improv alot of the show. Hurt from laughing so much. Excellent service, drinks were strong, food is "okay", show was fantastic. Plan to go to their kids show and also to return for another date night ASAP. Discover this little gem before its gone!

I'm so glad we swung by! The brews were delicious. I caved and got their most popular guava sour - 10/10 recommend if you like flavorful drinks or sours ( it's not super hoppy at all so go with something else if you like darker/stronger brews). Also, the staff was super friendly! They offered recommendations and gave us several tastings so we ended up with our favorites. Felt totally welcomed. Great hospitality, great brews, great afternoon.

GCB has amazing handcrafted ales! Love hanging out in the beer garden. Food trucks, beer, and friends. Golden family owned 30 years, GCB is a special place. A must visit. Plus they have the best local handcrafted kombucha. High Altitude Kombucha. Try the kombucha radler, a probiotic beer mix. Finally a "healthy" beer option! LOL

Great experience- I’ve never been given such an ready array of tasters. Very kind, and we loved it all. The outdoor seating is plentiful and ready for all weather. Took extra beer home too. The Magic Kebob food truck out front is clutch as well!

It was great! Decent selection of beer nestled amongst the houses in downtown Golden. Small indavidual food plates with meat, cheese, baked pretzels, and more. It's a brewery, not a top of the line restaurant. Atmosphere is pretty chill and laid back with plenty of room for a larger group. It looks to be a converted house that is now a brewery with a large outdoor seating area and heaters if it starts to get chilly.

After a great hike, we chose Golden City Brewery for its pretty setting and views. Friendly environment and great beer.

Such a fun place for a tasty beverage!! Wonderful covered patio garden to enjoy our libations! Wished I had gotten a flight but the lager was just what I needed to cool off from the heat! Food truck was on sight and the staff was delightful:) Will visit again!

An amazing small spot for nice beer. My brother and I were visiting the area before we left and December to grab a beer here. I got a clear creek lager and my brother got a stout. Both of our beers were very delicious and good for the price. The service/staff was very welcoming and kind. I would recommend this spot to anyone near the area and I can not wait to come back here again and try more beer !

I-25 is the worst road in the US. its bumpy, full of potholes, totally uneven, poorly kept/repaired despite always being under construction. And in Denver- Holy sh&t - just go around if you can.

What a wonderful conversation I just had with Sunny! I am very seasoned traveller and am planing a trip for 10 or more people to Europe this summer. If you're hiking other trails on Lookout Mountain, this is a nice pit stop for restrooms or a break. The staff are friendly, the exhibits are cool to browse while you take a break, and there's a good scenic spot across the street. There are also some easy trails behind the nature center.

Saturday, March 25th, 2023 We did the Lariat Loop Scenic Byway Scenic Overlook drive and one stop was the Lookout Mountain Nature Center Free private parking lot Walk/hike path Scenic views It was breathtakingly gorgeous and a very cold/windy day but very much worth it. We parked, bundled up, took a short walk, captured unforgettable photographs and simply sat on a bench taking in all the surrounding beauty and epic scenic views. We highly recommend the Lariat scenic root drive. One of the great things we did on our final day in Denver.

The nature center is a great stop. There are several interesting educational opportunities (your young ones are going to love it), the trails around are easy to walk on, the porch is cozy to sit and relax on, and the staff is knowledgeable and very helpful (Joe is amazing!). In the late afternoon you may see some wild animals roaming around. The mansion nearby is beautiful (open to the public during the week), and Buffalo Bill’s grave location is close by (there is a trail connecting both spots). The drive to the center is beautiful as well.

This Nature Center is just an excellent place to stop by when you're up on Lookout Mountain. A beautiful building with great views of the ponderosa pines and wildflowers. Plenty to look at inside and looks like a fun place for kids. Great short family hikes behind the building and in the general area.

I went on Thanksgiving. The gates and museum were closed. Parked in a lot outside the gates and hiked in. It was gorgeous!!

Great spot to check out the amazing views and Buffalo Bills grave site. Hike up from a lower parking lot or drive all the way to the summit, it's your decision! Lots of great hiking trails in the area and you can even hike to a mansion and a cool nature reserve center! Definitely recommended!

We didn’t go into nature center as it was closed. But did go to lookout which was pretty cool. Some great hiking and biking trails. The road down to Golden was pretty cool as well with nice views.

This is a beautiful place to visit. When we were there, snow covered the ground and the sun was shining, making it a great day for a walk through the forest. The nature center itself has fun activities for small children and interesting information for adults.

The town of Golden was very nice Not enough parking for visitors Need more thinks to see and do at the park

Very nice and easy trail, great for the whole family young and old. Well maintained, paved with lots of access points to the water (some of the access are graduate sloped for easier access for mobility!) Bike is encouraged to use south bank trail while leaving North bank trail for slower pace walking. This help keeping the trail more enjoyable to all and reduce the conflicts between faster traffic with enjoying viewer. A lot of tuber launch and exit pools along the trail for summer time fun. The fall colors are very good, specially like this fall. Free parking at 10th street if you want to enjoy more than 2 hours, near by parking is free for first two hours only, so utilize the parking lot a little bit to the east on 10th street (It's less than 0.5miles from the parks. less than a hundred yard from Clear creek Trail. ) and enjoy more relaxed pace is recommended.

Came here during December and we’re extremely impressed! The park and the downtown area of Golden is super clean with a peaceful country vibe. The river walk trail was a nice escape from the hustle and bustle of the Denver area. We definitely plan on visiting here again!

Cute little park. Good walking. Free exhibits to check out. Gardens and historic things to see with good information. Dogs welcome but closed and locked bathrooms? No trashcan. Why? You invite people to come and capitalize off the tourism for your whole town. Give us trashcans and open your bathroom and porta potty. And stop making excuses. Take care of your tourists.

Love this park, especially since they have added all the new beautiful routes down to the water. It is great to see kayakers, paragliders and walkers out and about in all weather. Also love the new history 'homes' that are decorated inside and the chicken coop. Lots of fun and beauty for the family. Good running and a playground too!

Equal opportunity in art: an exhibit of quilting by men of all ages. The abilities of anyone who can quilt and present an image or emotion via this medium has skills! I enjoyed looking at the different methods and was inspired in my painting. A must-see!

The wife acquired passes for the museum from our local library, and we treated ourselves to a spontaneous trip to this fun, quirky, and rather unique museum. I didn't really know anything about quilting, but found the displays and collection to be really intricate and incredible. The staff was also very kind, accommodating, and patient with our questions. We're really glad we went!

Very interesting, the current exhibit is art quilts. Super creative. They change exhibits 4 times a year. A wonderful small shop with lots of quilting supplies. Both ladies were extremely gracious. What a fun afternoon. Thank You

I’m not a quilter. You don’t need to be a quilter to enjoy this museum. I took my mother-in-law who is. We had an absolutely splendid time! Our guide was a delight. I could have listened to her all day. The quilts ranged from historic to eclectic. The 911 memorial quilt that was gifted to the US by Japan was the highlight. We had a nice lunch nearby afterwards. We will definitely be returning. This is a fun thing to do with out of town guests.

I know nothing about quilting, I make clothes, and amount of work some people put in their work is insane! The quilts there don’t look like usual blankets, they are paintings that were made with fabrics. Incredible!!! Some people are really talented! They also have classes sometimes where they show how to do quilting. If you’re interested in making your own piece of art, come check this place. They also sell fabrics, books and quilting kits and ready to answer any questions. Very impressed with this place!

Truly amazing needlework. The 3 women took quilting to another level. Using different colored threads to do portraits and the over stitching was beyond anything I have ever seen. There is also a small store with everything you could ask for to make quilts. I look forward to going back for future exhibits.

A wonderful museum located in Golden right off 6th. They change their collection about every quarter. Beautiful pieces with great descriptions of each artist. The gift shop is adorable with lots of quilting things you can buy and beautiful gifts/souvenirs. Such a cute little museum, I highly recommend a visit if you're in the area.

I'm a new mom that doesn't get out to do things for myself often, but packed up the baby's things on a Sunday to drive a half hour to visit the museum. Arrived to a small sign on the door saying they're closed today. No update on google. And I was able to get a ticket through my local library. Other museums block out days they're closed so I know it wasn't the library mistake. So frustrated to have to turn back around and drive back home after all the prep it takes to go places these days. Update your hours online if you're closed.

An Unexpected Star Performance at Golden CO Visitors & Information Center! We meant to post this sooner, but a couple of months ago we visited the Golden CO Visitors & Information Center and it was nothing short of a comedic spectacle, all thanks to the wonderful women working there! My brother Mitch, as part of a whimsical challenge, arrived adorned in what can only be described as a hysterically ridiculous Donald Duck costume. What could have been a mere awkward moment transformed into an epic, laughter-filled event. The fantastic ladies at the center, recognizing a golden opportunity for some lighthearted fun, coaxed Mitch into performing some classic acts. There he was, in full Donald Duck regalia, doing the chicken dance followed by the endearing "I'm a Little Teapot", much to the amusement of everyone present. The laughter was contagious, and the atmosphere electric! But they didn't stop there. To ensure the hilarity was immortalized, they took the party outdoors, making Mitch pose for some unforgettable pictures. The combination of the beautiful Golden backdrop and a grown man in a duck costume was comedy gold (and public embarrassment)! A massive shoutout to the amazing team at the Golden CO Visitors & Information Center. Not only do they provide top-notch service and information, but they truly understand the essence of community spirit, fun, and humor. We left with our bellies aching from laughter and memories that will last a lifetime. Mitch, despite his blushing cheeks, couldn't stop raving about how wonderfully playful and engaging the staff was. We can't wait for our next visit! We hope they will let him duck-waddle back very soon!!

No use of restrooms, directed you to park across the street. Public bathrooms had NO soap, what the heck? Homeless dude was sleeping on the wall by the restroom.

We booked the Golden Visitors Center for a post-wedding event in July 2022, and it was absolutely perfect. We had the entire patio to ourselves and just a short walk away people could go hang out by the water and go tubing. So easy for everyone to gather and well worth the price. This is a hidden gem if you're looking for a place to rent for an event.

A nice place to stroll!

Very sweet ladies working the counter who were extremely friendly, helpful, and informative. They gave great advice and recommendations for places to go and sights to see in Golden. They'll also give you some golden tickets that are good for discounts at various retailers in the area. Besides their personal advice, there's many pamphlets and flyers advertising different tourist attractions in the area. I'd recommend stopping by here on your visit to Golden.

Very helpful staff — gave us maps and explained everything so well ! Amazing walk along the creek ... museum is fun and the cabin tour ( walking) is fun too .. we took the AI cube around the town for a fun ride ... really cool town

So many maps! Our stop here netted us two coupons to local establishments for a percentage off our meal+drinks. We got great information about things to do, scenic drives and great food in town!

Just about the most friendly visitor center in all of the West. Eleanor (Wednesdays) will give you Golden history, a Golden Ticket, good advice and probably make you belly laugh. Stop in, you won't be sorry.

The Boardroom at the Golden Visitor's Center was a great place to host our staff and planning meetings. The meeting space was beautiful with great views, Lora was wonderful to work with, the close proximity to hiking trails and the Clear Creek Trail made getting outdoors for a break a breeze, and the many local restaurants nearby were perfect for coffee breaks, dinner, and catering. Free parking and an easy to use A/V system were perks as well. Definitely recommend this location for your next meeting!

Sun was out the water wasn't too cold definitely worth it if you're going out for a walk or wanting to jump in the water! Lots to do and see for all ages

Very helpful n friendly. Has its own parking lot n located next to creek with walkway. Rv park up street n can go tubing there! Cute downtown main street n drive up mountain to see views n Buffalo Bill museum n grave.

The ladies that helped us were very informative and helpful! Golden is such a beautiful and historic town. The river walk is absolutely beautiful and is accessible. I will come back to visit this great town and will definitely stay longer. Great place for information!

We did not get the memo that Heritage Square was just a few rides for infants left. They were beaten out of their lease by a big corporation. In 2015 the big corporationstarted doing things to make them leave. It use to be a fun family environment. It is now totally closed.

Wish I had never gone. Called the owner to request a refund (after having walked in and out) and he called me a liar and was exceptionally rude. No wonder he's going out of business. Karma is not going to be good to you, Alan.

It would have been nice if most of the rides have been open and not shut down early. Been nice to go out in style. Ran out of food early. Had to wait an hour and a half before my order came

Great actors, great fun and affordable. Love that they improv alot of the show. Hurt from laughing so much. Excellent service, drinks were strong, food is "okay", show was fantastic. Plan to go to their kids show and also to return for another date night ASAP. Discover this little gem before its gone!

Seems quite fun while I didn't jump in the river just walking along the river is quite relaxing and many things going on from street musicians to simply relaxing with sound of water, breeze and nature besides all the laughter going on from adults to kids. It was a nice walk, I observed some murals, some park rangers patrolling, a library, some historical buildings, a musician and many practicing or perfecting their paddle boarding skills. It was an enjoyable walk along both sides, there's slides for kids to get down instead of using the stairs. I spoke to someone and they said would definitely make sense to simply buy your tube if possible as the prices would be comparable.just FYI.

This area has come a very very long way since I was a young adult. In 2004 it was nearly non existent but by 2006 it primarily is what it is today structurally. It kind of feels like the trails west of the highway have been redeveloped and improved and of course the eddy tap room and Basecamp are just off the trail just shy of the underpass. Going the other direction it now connects into the bike trail going to arvada. There has been a HUGE growth of just nonstop tourists going tubing and alot of goldenites do not take too kindly to them. If you want quiet you need to go way up the mountain. From Washington to the highway it's one mass conglomerated section of dogs people on bikes, people milling around, strollers and people carrying kayaks up and down the trail. It gets dangerous if you aren't paying attention. In the winter there is some sort of outfitter retailer that offers polar dips too

This place was beautiful! You can rent a tube and helmet for the day and race down the rapids, and even if you don't want to you can just hang out by the river and dip your toes.... It can be crowded but it is easy to jump in at any time on the river. Also every Saturday during the summer there is a farmers market located on the river near the library and it has a lot of neat things!

OMG it’s took me a while but I finally found one of the beautiful and fun locations in CO, if you love the nature and to enjoy your time out you must visit there. Perfect spot

This is a great park! Lots of pet enforcement to keep dogs on leash. The walking path is nice. It gets really crowded on weekends in the summer. The tubing is so much fun. Try to get the shuttle if you can! It’s worth it!

Highly recommend spending a day in Golden and walking the Clear Creek trail! Just a minute walk from mainstreet, there’s walking paths on both sides of the river which is nice. You’ll find many, many puppies in the park as well as elderly couples and families. Overall, everyone is in a good mood and very friendly. I recommend stopping by one of the restaurants in downtown, Woody’s Wood Fired Pizza is a hot spot!

The perfect way to spend a day on a Colorado river! There are many entry points, so you can choose the length of your trip. People from the ages of 8 on up were tubing and paddle boarding while we were there. The walking path along the river is new and very well maintained. There are also well placed rocks, benches, and an amphitheater for you to sit while you watch others tube. There is a sign stating that there is a strictly enforced no alcohol policy and we only saw one group with beers towards sunset. This would be a great activity for any group from college friends to a family. Everyone was being safe and respectful of the space.

Very beautiful! Found by accident...wish I would have been prepared. You can kayak or bring your floating. I seen alot of people walking their dogs (who were wet, so must have spot for dogs to go in)

It's a great place to cool off or go tubing. The water is cold in early September but it feels good on a hot day. You can walk along the creek on a well paved path with a few attractions along the way (museum etc) or you can cross the creek beyond the rv park to access some uphill trails (chimney gulch trail is accessible from here). A few people had their dogs also swimming in the creek at different points. Also easy enough to get to from the Golden light rail stop if taking public transit.

Just a great place to take a walk, sit and listen to the river and enjoy nature. It's a popular spot though so don't expect to be alone.
