Fort Pickens was fun to explore. So many rooms and even tunnels. Great to learn some mid 1800s to mid 1900s history of the fort and area. Friendly staff at the store. The beaches and dunes in the area are amazing. Love the cool white sand! The facilities were clean.

This was a fun place to spend a few hours. Even if handicapped it was set up so you could essentially drive around and enjoy the site. If you wanted to walk it, I highly suggest downloading the national park app as it walks you through the fort in a numbered order and tells you what each stop is. Definitely more organized than other forts I had been to in the past. While my kids weren’t with me this trip I could see them enjoying it.

Nice camping experience. Everyone is friendly and keeps to themselves. The beaches are super clean and quiet. This is a great place for people who enjoy the beaches but want to avoid the crowds. Also good for fishing. We came back to the beach at night to catch crabs with the kids.

One word could sum it up- "go!" A fort to explore, surrounded by the gorgeous powdery beaches and gulf waters- go! Also, check the Blue Angels practice schedule. You can see them fly from here. There are a few restroom options throughout and a really great covered picnic area to let you eat and rest for a few minutes out of the sun. If you have kiddos ask about the Jr. Ranger program. They can earn a badge. Plan to spend the day by bringing sunscreen, drinks, food and plenty snacks. The beaches have a lot to explore themselves so bring a net, fishing poles, buckets, sand castle building supplies, swimwear, towels, and baby powder for the excess sand if the beach is of interest. If you plan and pack ahead you will have a wonderful day learning, exploring and then soaking up some beach time.

Very serene setting if you want to enjoy peaceful beaches. We camped for 10 nights near to the beaches and could hear the waves all day and night. Very soothing experience. The area has a ton of bike trails, if you want to explore by bike. Langdon beach has restrooms and water taps / outdoor shower to wash off beach sand after a long day of play at the beach. Sunsets and sunrises during December cannot be described in words.

The Davis Bayou area in Ocean Springs, Mississippi offers scenic views of the Mississippi Sound and the marshy, swampy areas that provide habitat to native alligators, turtles and a variety of large birds (including Osprey and Herons). We like to walk near the boat ramp and the area south of the visitors center for the best water views. Don't miss this wonderful destination if you are passing through this area.

Such a wonderful peaceful spot. I may not only is it gorgeous, but it pays tribute to those people who have fought the good fight and served in our military so that we can sleep in peace at night. Thank you to all those who served as well while we're on the subject. I'm a disabled vet and although it was not the funnest time in my life, because of those people that are fighting every single day protecting me I would gladly grab a gun and head back. But this is a great little area, what I normally do especially during the daytime you know when it feels good outside, go by and get me some food to go, and then I just run over there it's running center of town so I run over there and eight, look at the water it's peaceful is quiet, it's just it's something really special I really enjoy going over there.

It's a beautiful place with so much to explore! We camped (tent), cooked over a fire, biked the trails, visited the fort, enjoyed the beaches, & so much more! Sugary sands and crystal clear water. One of my favorite beaches in the US. I prefer the beaches in the gulf coast to the ones on the east coast of Florida. Lesser crowds and cleaner beaches. The pier provides some great photo opportunities with the panaromic view of the Pensacola skyline. We visited the beach during sunset and it is spectacular. There is a small admission fee (about $5 for 2 people) to get there and it's more than worth that amount.

Oh my! Well worth my money! We saw sea turtles, small sharks and the best moment was a dolphin came by and stole a man's fish on the line. He played with it right in front of us. It was a nice Pier with lots of seating. We went early morning on a Wednesday. Thanks Pensacola! You're awesome!

The pier is just like any other… A little crowded no matter what time of day you go and some people have no respect (loud music, smoking, yelling, swearing, setting up directly next to you). Nonetheless, it’s a gorgeous beach, the water is amazing and the sunsets are gorgeous. Within walking distance of multiple shops and restaurants, however I don’t recommend swimming around the pier as it is infested with jellyfish, especially in August, when I went you couldn’t even swim without probably getting stung. Definitely a cool place to check out!

The water in the ocean is very transparent. The beach is clean with white sand. There is a public big parking lot by the beach. Facilities like showers and restrooms are available between the beach and the parking lot which is very convenient.

Perfect place to watch the sunrise/sunset. I enjoy my pier walks and I am grateful to be able to walk it any time I want since I live so close. There’s no telling what you will see! Every time I go, I see different things. Sharks, turtles, dolphins, big fish, sting rays, etc. Definitely recommend to take a walk here at least once, for the experience!

Wow it was just beautiful, the emerald green waters splashed on the shore & the white sand at the shore was easy to walk on. For me it brought back memories, when I was in the navy NAS Pensacola was where I was stationed & the changes we’ll from 1964 to 2023, 59 years of growth really made it look different. I’m 64 there was. Pavilion & a carousel, and now it’s high rise condominiums & houses for rent that go for 3K a week but it was nice to go back & see the changes.

My husband and I had a really great time walking down the pier to the end and back!! We saw a lot of people fishing, you don't need a license to do so. We saw a cute Pelican! He would wait for people to catch fish then go over to them and practically "beg" for them to give him one, lol. We also saw jellyfish near the pier. The water is so beautiful and clear!!

Great place to go for a walk or you can also fish. They charge $7.50 for fishing or less then $3 for just watching. You also get a great view at the beach. Absolutely beautiful, also great to go on a nice walk with your significant other, they have chairs. You can watch the sun set or rise.

Stretching out across the emerald green waters over 1470 feet beyond 2 sand bars into the Gulf of Mexico is the Pensacola Beach Fishing Pier. What a spectacular view! I swear it has the most beautiful sunrise and sunset! Highly recommended whether you're going fishing or just strolling to enjoy the view.

While we loved taking our dog to the beach and the actual beach is beautiful and so is the area for dogs...the tiny little area that is open for dogs is lacking. There are miles of beach here and it's not crowded so why they couldn't have a bigger area for dogs is a question that many people have. We wanted to walk our dog on the beach so we basically just walked back and forth in this small area even though both sides of it had zero people as far as we could see.

The beach was clean. The sand was white and powdery and I found a few cool shells. It was busy but not over crowded. The dog access area was not a large area, considering how large the beach actually is but it was plenty of room for the amount of dogs that were there. All the pups were well behaved and seemed to enjoy themselves. We've been here twice and will continue to visit this beach.

Gorgeous white sand beaches and they even have a place reserved for dogs. My dog wouldn’t come out of the water and I could see many more dogs enjoying beach just as many humans too. Very thoughtful of them to dedicate a beach (one of the two in Pensacola) for dogs. The beach is tidy, relaxing and comforting. This is one of the best beaches I have been in my lifetime. There’s ample space for parking vehicles. A must visit place if you are traveling to West Florida. There are 2 dog beaches in Pensacola beach. One on the East and other on the west. It’s easy to find in maps. It’s free. Dogs are allowed between sunrise to sunset. Dogs must be on leash. Should have a rabies tag and collar.

It's a beautiful dog beach and very clean. Dogs are required to be on a leash and stay within sign perimeters. However it would be nice if the perimeter was actually closed off that way the dogs could be off leash if they wanted to run and play. Also with so much room outside of the dog area it would be nice if everyone who didn't bring a dog would not croud the specific and limited area where dogs are kindly permitted. They just become a nuisance really. All the space for non dog having groups beyond the sign, and then there's a crowd within the small dog perimeter and I've seen only three dogs in this area everyone else is just taking up pup space.

Absolutely LOVED this beach! Super clean, everyone was friendly, not crowded at all, and all the puppers were well behaved and cared for! We really enjoyed watching everyone spending good quality time with their families and fur babies! There are posts up for this particular section of the beach to keep your dogs within range, but it was still plenty for us to hang out and walk around in. Can't complain when there are so few dog friendly beaches to choose from. We will definitely be back!

Great little beach area to bring your pups! The east dog beach is definitely my choice over the west dog beach. I felt that the west one was very small and not as open for exploring. The east beach is a lot bigger and there is a lot of roaming room. Watch out though, we saw tons of jellyfish!We also saw a hammerhead & a few sand sharks. Bring poo-bags to clean up any messes. They have trashcans along the beach to dispose the bags. I would recommend 10/10!

This is our Saturday morning hangout. It's a little bit of a trip, but it's worth the drive. Peanut will play fetch in the surf until she can't run anymore. Do everyone a favor, if you want to fish, find a different beach. People, dogs, & fishing lines are not a good combination.

Some of the negative reviews almost stopped us from coming, but was pleasantly surprised. Although added space would of been nice, there was still a decent amount of space for privacy. We came on a Saturday around 12, and we had plenty of room. Dogs must be kept on a leash, but that did not stop my pup from having a good time. Beach is clean as well. Trash cans are close by.

This is one of the best kept secrets in all of Florida. This is the last "stop" along the way west towards views that are unhindered by commercial excess. Once you reach this point, it's just flat, clean Earth. And on one side you get a view of the bay to the north and an amazing view of the Gulf to the south. It's simply a splendid access point with quick, easy parking, a bathroom facility with shower, and many pavilions for taking a break.

The water was clearer than many ive seen, but definitely salty lol...its the ocean of course. Super nice beach, I've never been to Pensacola, so I didn't know you pay $1.00 Everytime you go over some of their bridge's, so be prepared. The beach it's self was super clean, tons of room for everyone. But with that being said, sand fleas are a huge problem. I was told after 2 days at the beach. You can prevent from getting them but using meet products.

Nice bathroom facilities, lots of individual pavilions to have lunch under, ample parking and a nice boardwalk. The beach is pretty crowded, however the beach is clean! We were also able to watch the Blue Angels practice while we swam!

There are about 14-20 covered tables with BBQ grills, bring your own charcoal. You need to arrive early to get a table, no reservations. The restroom is handicap accessible and so is the beach.

Beautiful facility in convenient location as you enter Pensacola Beach. Staff a little too focused on phone and internet guests instead of real ones in the Information center. We waited a bit, then were warmly greeted by Patty who informed us of area attractions. As we were on bicycling, we would have liked more information on public transportation. Learned that the Winter season is quite slow here compared to southern Florida, which is Orlando and south.

Pensacola Beach wanted more tourists but made ridiculous turn lanes impossible for traffic flow. Trying to get out of the Crabs parking lot is impossible. Whenever you funnel all those cars into a one lane exit, you make it impossible because everybody is backed up and jumping the curb. That SHARP piece of concrete curb that sticks out into the traffic flow (when going right onto Via DeLuna) needs to be removed. Whenever you wish for more tourist traffic, and don’t prepare for the additional traffic, it becomes a nuisance for the people that visit.

I’d like to rate zero if there were an option. We travel to pensacola from CA, and have very good impression of this beach town. Well, what a disappointment of the visitor center. There is this gray hair elder lady, who is the only one available in the center on this Friday. She smiles like a sunflower when visitors are caucasian, very willing to provide help. However when the visitors are Asian people, she immediately become ice faced, and is very reluctant to speak. Me and my friend were not so sure until we see another Korean family after us are treated equally bad, and two white families are very welcomed. Why put a racist at the visiting center? Is this an impression Pensacola want to leave to visitors?
