Amazing place with valuable antique collection and very well organized introduction. Visited with my children, they enjoyed everything in there. Is is really very touching that not only entrance is free, but also they give you freedom to go around to explore and enjoy everything. ( nothing to campers with Hearst Castle visit). The architecture is beautiful, tasteful decor and you are free to organize your special day photo shopping. Greatest place to visit. P.S. You need to “book” your spot in advance online, make sure to include everyone ( even infants), and yes it’s free, you only pay $15 parking fee online or in the place. Parking is very safe and well organized, elevators are in every level.

Loved this. Had it recommended but a few people and am so glad we put it on our itinerary. The grounds are gorgeous and the collections are impressive. Definitely worth a visit. Tickets are free but you'll need to pay for parking on location. Buy the parking online when you grab your tickets and it's a few bucks cheaper than buying at the gate.

A beautiful space and happy that it is open to the public. Lots of sculptures and artifacts to view and the gardens and pool fun to explore and relax. There is lots of parking and the online ticket system is easy to use. Tickets are free, but parking is $20. The restaurant has a nice selection and there are premade sandwiches at the cafe kiosk. You can't really see the ocean, but the sea breeze is still great!

Lovely place to visit and it’s free just go to their website and reserve a slot before visiting. The ocean view, the architecture, the pool, the museum everything is so beautiful. You are allowed to take pictures inside the museum too. They have a good cafe and the food was pretty fresh and decent for the price we paid. Very well maintained gardens. Guided tours are also available which is free. They also have a free guest shuttle from the main entrance up to the villa and down back if you are not taking your car up. Perfect place for a relaxed day out!

Visited in May 2023. Although it was a cloudy day, it was still a fantastic visit to the Getty Villa! The lush green surroundings, along with its captivating art collection, truly impressed me. The drive down the scenic Pacific Coast Highway added to the experience. While the parking fee was $20, the free entry made it a great value. I captured some stunning photos, and the staff were incredibly helpful. Highly recommended!

The Getty Villa in LA is a captivating journey through Greek and Roman history. As you step inside, you're greeted by a mesmerizing collection of historical artifacts that truly astound. The architectural brilliance of the villa itself adds another layer of wonder to the experience. Whether you're a history enthusiast or simply appreciate stunning architecture, the Getty Villa is a must-visit destination that will leave you in awe. Make sure you go for sunset as the views were amazing. You’ll find restaurant on the top floor. Also, they ask you if you have reservations, but we didn’t have one but still could just walk in. So, no requirement for reservations. You can have plenty of parking place inside the villa.

What a wonderful place to visit. I was unexpected to see so many different items from 1st century AD and before like the marble statues or mosaics from the same time period. There's a even jewelry from 400BC and Byzantine jewelry, jewelry that was made in Alexandria. Roman coins from 1st century AD. Roman glass from 1st century AD. I mean it's just incredible that these things survived until they ended up at the Getty Villa. Just breath taking stuff from few thousand years ago and now everyone can see it and enjoy it. They even have marble figures from 2700-3000BC. Currently there's an exhibit on loan from the British Museum in London of Assyria palace art of ancient Iraq. About a dozen or so huge pieces of carved Gypsum from 700BC. Getty Villa is free but parking is not, it's 20 bucks. They have a huge multi level lot that was almost full on a Wednesday. Come enjoy the ocean breeze and see some stuff from long long ago. And the gardens are beautiful.

So glad we tried this place. The best surprise was how good the Cafe food was. They have legit chefs and really good food choices. I highly recommend visiting this museum if you get the chance. Get a reservation for entry and pay for parking online. Plan for at least 2 hours to enjoy the place. If you catch it on a sunny day sit outside for lunch and enjoy the beauty of this place. Lots of people from all over visiting and really nice workers too. California has the best weather and high end places to visit. Don't forget to visit the big Getty Museum in LA as well. That one plan an entire day to see everything it has inside tho. This Getty Villa is much smaller scale compared to the big Getty.

This place is incredible. It’s been on LA adventure list for awhile. I haven’t been because I was thinking “eh, it’s just old stuff”. I was wrong. There was so much thought out into the Villa and the gardens. Meticulous details. The architecture is beautiful, and so are the grounds. The collection is very expansive. I did the self-guided audio tour that also recorded with great care. The docents are very polite and very helpful. It’s free, but you need a reservation time. Parking is $20. I didn’t go to the cafe, but when I walked through I saw what appeared to be quality food options and ample serving sizes. I walked through about 80% of the exhibits which took a little over 2 hours. I’ll be going back in November. I’m very glad I went. Nice outing.

So beautiful and fun ! Take your time through the sculptures and found jewelry and or perfume pots. Especially the garden. It’s a sight to see ! They even have an interaction room for the kiddos. Can’t wait to visit the other museums. This was a great start. We were sad to learn that all of the food and herbs grown on property get tossed in the trash because of FDA regulations. Growing food and herbs just to throw it away but overall still a good experience.

It was a beautiful first day of October 2023 in Malibu, Ca, It was also a wonderful time to visit the Getty Villa Museum. The museum is free but costs $20.00 to the park. You also need to make a reservation before you go. The grounds are gorgeous and picture-perfect scenes. I saw a couple having their engagement photos taken. My 16 year old granddaughter enjoyed seeing art in the Era she's studying in school.

Nice villa with a beautiful view. The place is relaxing. Greek and Roman art, as well as a small temporary exhibition on Ancient Egypt. Only 4 stars because the villa feels a bit fake sometimes because it’s almost brand new but still a good imitation.

An absolutely beautiful institution in Santa Monica. Entrance is free with reservations; the only fee is the $20 parking fee. Highly recommended to come here on a bright and sunny day, or even better, if you're lucky enough to come in the autumn after a light morning rain. The art pieces are mostly focused from Mediterranean regions from the ancient eras. The architecture of the villa seems heavily inspired by Greek and Roman stylings as can be seen by the long hallways and endless columns. It's recommended to take your take and enjoy the whole breadth of the villa as there's a lot to see.

A one of a kind, must see it to believe it place! Among the grandest and most opulent destinations to visit and revisit in Southern California! The grounds and structures are visually magnificent to be able to pass thru and see. Viewing the ancient artifacts on display was an unexpected and exciting exploration I’ll always remember! As with the Getty Center, I’d say the Getty Villa is a treasure trove of exhibits and information in an awesome place of eye pleasing aesthetics! I could go on and elaborate on the elaborate, tho after reading the good reviews of others, I couldn’t have said it better! Photos posted with this review are just a glimpse of the vivid appeal that captures my experience, to see as I’ve seen, tho so much better in person! Just a note of interest for visitors heading there via Pacific Coast Highway from Santa Monica and Pacific Palisades. When going northbound, look to pass the Sunset Blvd intersection, with a Chevron Station on the right and Gladstones Restaurant on the ocean side, or left. Continue under the pedestrian bridge and past the next traffic light at Porto Marina Way, then be ready to look for the turning lane to turn right at Getty Villa Drive, to check in at the entrance gate. Walk-ins may arrive via the Metro-Transit Bus 534, or from vehicle drop offs and may also check in at the entrance. All arrivals will be asked for their reservations along with prepaid parking passes if needed. Otherwise alternate arrangements may be made before proceeding. All vehicle traffic departs at Coastline Drive, back to Pacific Coast Highway.

Free tickets available starting two weeks in advance of the day you visit. Best to visit first thing (10 AM) when not yet crowded. Parking is $20 and queue can be long, mostly leaving, as the access road is at a very busy intersection. If you're there early, you can park for free along the beach side of the PCH, with a pedestrian entry near the vehicle access. The bonus of doing this is a van will take you to the villa and will bypass the cars waiting to get into the garage. They offer three types of tours (art, garden, and architecture), but there's a limit of 10/tour. Get to the tour start area by the gift shop at least 15 minutes before the start time to ensure your spot. Once you get your wrist band (they give out 15 minutes before start) you can visit the gift shop, which is reasonably priced.

We didn’t book in advance but we got in. Tickets are free but parking is 15$. So you are actually paying for admission. I have been in Getty museum a lot of times. But it is my first time an villa. Nice location with beautiful view. Amazing collection of antiques. Great landscape. It even has a greek style amphitheater. But comparing to the museum is very small.

Fabulous, fabulous, fabulous. If you do nothing else in LA you must go and see this villa and the art works within. The fact that this is made so authentically and true to the original with no expense spared. The museum of art was interesting and the audio phone app enhanced the experience as I am not one to stand and read captions for hours. I loved learning about how the villa was built, walking in the beautiful gardens and imagining how Romans would have lived. Absolutely gorgeous. And it is FREE! (except for parking).

Went to the Getty Villa on a Saturday morning. Easy access and parking. Reserved tickets ahead of time and paid for parking once we arrived. Beautiful setting! And so many artifacts and collectibles. Truly worth a visit!

Really well organized museum. They add a lot info (origin, materials, history, before and after the restoration, photos of the excavation…) of each piece. Also the whole Villa is well designed. I would recommend stop by at the family room for a fun break (even if you don’t have kids). After a few rooms you just need a break, take it in that, play with the activities, you wouldn’t regret!

This leisure experience is educational for all ages. Tho this cultural experience is open and free to the public, you will have to reserve a ticket, which ultimately saves a parking space for $20. The entrance to the museum from the PCH is quite narrow and steep. The road is a replica of an ancient Roman one. The parking garage is adequate with plenty of handicap parking on the first level. There's plenty of artifacts and interesting information around every corner. Concentration of displayed artifacts is limited to ancient Greek and Roman architecture and art; mainly statues. Everything is well displayed and clean. Everyone working here was friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend taking advantage of the timed tours. There's different tours planned thru out the day. We had the same docent twice for two different tours. He was able to share a great amount of interesting knowledge. The grounds are well maintained and exuberant. The whole facility is easy to navigate, lots of stairs, but there are elevators too. The villa is actually larger than I had expected, I ended up staying the whole day. There is food and drink available for purchase, good quality food with high prices. I enjoyed my visit in winter, so I think any season would be just as enjoyable.

The Villa is an Art museum focusing on ancient Greek and Roman history and architecture. The design of the villa was modeled after Greek and Roman design. The outdoor areas are gorgeous!! The design is amazing, down to the small details. The museum portions were very informative and cool. There is a focus on statues from both ancient civilizations. The museum also includes a cafe and a theater for special shows.

For the first time, I visited this beautiful place. The entrance is free, but you need to reserve a free ticket in advance. A very nice girl greeted me at the entrance. Then, a shuttle took me to the museum itself. After that, museum staff welcomed me, showed me the map, and so on. Inside is very beautiful, and the friendly museum staff were always ready to help guests. There is a cafe where the food is delicious. Thank you.

This is such a beautiful place to walk, take pictures and enjoy the view and exhibits. This is a walkable museum. There is a wonderful cafe with great views of the pacific ocean. Every inch of this property is beautiful manicured. The staff is located throughout the property to assist you. You will need to make your reservation prior to coming. Your reservation covers your entry into the museum. There is a fee for parking and the rate for parking is reduced after 3pm. No flash photography on the property. If you bring a purse or backpack be prepared to have it checked. There are elevators for usage.

Definitely worth a visit if you're in LA. There is a lot in the collection but I feel there are a select few pieces which are special. You will know when you see them! The grounds are absolutely stunning and it's one of the most beautiful places I've ever been to architecturally. It can be tough to get to if you don't have a car but I would try to visit if you can manage it. If you like history, you won't regret the trip.

It's so beautiful here! It's wonderful they have so many pieces from ancient Greek and Rome! I loved their Egyptian Book of the Dead exhibit as well, though it was a very tiny exhibit. Entry is free, parking is $20. Reserve entry on their website, super easy. Everyone should visit and get a glimpse of history!

Excellent reconstruction of an ancient villa. Lots of exhibits. Very impressed. Take your time to see everything. Best viewing spot is on the balcony overlooking the Outer Peristyle (aka garden/pool area). If you are visiting the Getty Center and Getty Villa on the same day, you don't need to pay the $25.00 parking fee twice. Talk to a worker about how to avoid that. Enjoy!

The Getty Villa is situated near Malibu with a beautiful architecture and smaller exhibitions that you can check out. The place is so well maintained and everywhere you go, you get to learn something new or see something beautiful. It was busy and you can’t really take any photos with so many people around you. There is a cafe where you can grab a meal during your visit and capture some views. We thoroughly enjoyed walking around and taking in the views and learning about the exhibits. You can spend 1-2 hours walking around and viewing the sights.

I've been here multiple times, and it's gorgeous. The buildings and art are amazing but not worth multiple revisits unless you want to see a particular rotating exhibit. We always have gone in early with a reservation, and it makes getting in no hassle at all. There is no ticket/reservation fee, but there is a parking fee.

Pretty nice, very windy at the time. Some garbage, but it's of season. Nice treat to see a Coast Guard Rescue Helicopter run drills in front of us.

Great sandy beach. Saw dolphins nearby to beach, didn't swim, water was cold. The beach is amazing and was not so crowded. $6 for parking but you can do free parallel parking for checking the beach.

Hands down the most beautiful public beach in Malibu. It was clean, there aren’t many people there, and very peaceful. Do not pay the $15 for parking. You can park in the street and just walk over the barrier onto the beach.

This is a fabulous place to visit during the weekdays when it is truly more secluded. A great place to take to take a break, meditate, read and write, or just do nothing.

I would currently not at all recommend that beach. We had to pay 8$ for the day and got really nothing apart from closed restrooms, dirty and not working showers, trash cans which were more than full. I can definitely understand why people park outside next to the highway, it's a shame to charge money for the current situation. Seems like they are renewing some things, but can't tell how long that will take. Safe your money and go somewhere else.

What can you say about this beach besides the SoCal jewel. The sunsets, the mountainous backdrop, the perfect surf. Only drawback is all the people and struggle to find parking, but what can you expect at one of the best beaches in California. Zuma Beach will always have a special spot in my feels.

Today, amidst Topanga-bound travel, I went here and had QUITE THE TIME swimming in the ocean. Water was cold yet the contrast between water temperatures and daytime heat was wonderful. I got way out until my foot could no longer touch the bottom for a while, easily navigating waves without a lot of them causing any problem for me at least. Only downfall is lack of natural shade so it's best to bring some of your own if you wanna spend a lot of time here while the sun happens to be very bright. Even saw one fish.

Beautiful beach with scenic views and tons of parking. The beaches are clean and well maintained as well. They also have volleyball nets. When you enter the first area even has another body of water with ducks and seagulls. You are more likely to see marine life there.

We visited on a very beautiful morning and it was quiet and the atmosphere was fresh. Clean and well maintained premises. So many surfers were practicing their surfing skills on the amazing waves. It is a great and unique experience to stand on this pier and watch the majestic waves in the ocean. Feels like just staying there and to keep watching the the waves. Pleasant weather. Beautiful experience.

This is a beautiful spot where you can enjoy cool breeze. This is on US 1 state highway and you will find ample parking lots. You can walk over the beach and pier will be amazing if you visit in the evening or night. Santa Monica peir is overrated and this is underrated. There is a small shop and restaurant over the pier and food is affordable.

Amazing place, we stopped by here on our way back to San Francisco. Extremely clean beach and pristine waters. The beach is accessible by the stairs. There’s a flat parking fee of $20 to park by the pier so try finding parking nearby. Restrooms are available.

We stopped by the Malibu Sports Fishing Pier back in December 2018, while travelling from Los Angeles, California to San Francisco, California. The place had some gorgeous views of the Pacific Ocean and the famous Malibu beach. Very beautiful landscape of Malibu beach. The port pier itself has a couple of bar/restaurant and a pier to walk through. The soround beach line has a large amount of beach clubs / restaurants from cheap and simple ones to sofisticated ones. The beach ia clean and sand is light. Nice beach to go for a calm walk and afternoon.

11/13/2023 I come here a lot specially in year 2019 but it stopped due to the pandemic. This spot is a good place to chill and do fishing. It's 40 minutes away from where I live.

Beautiful view, but not much to do- the shoppes are few and expensive, parking is pretty much on the street, no cover unless you're in one of the stores. Friendly folks overall and the coffeeshop was good, some good spots to take photos from.

It was a great experience driving all the way from Long Beach .This is the first time we went to Malibu and it was great clean way better than LA. as you enter the Malibu pier, they have some cute little restaurants which look really great from outside and the restroom there was spot clean we really liked. we will only come to Malibu next time and spend our entire days there. but pricey but worth the price.

Fun place to stop on PCH and see the waves. Maybe have a cup of coffee or a bite to eat. The park lot is $10 and there is beach access. All and all it’s a nice place to spend some time in Malibu.

BEST BEACH TO GO TO! (Carbon Beach aka Billionaires Beach) Absolutely the best Beach to go to and spend the day at! It is soooo clean compared to any other beach in the area! It's warm, and sunny and the homes on the shoreline are nice to check out. This beach is NOT overly crowded like the rest in the area. It's not as easily accessible, there's a bit of a walk to get there but I'm telling you it's more than worth it! You don't have crowds of people right by you while you're trying to relax. The sand was very soft and warm, you were able to walk barefoot without stepping on something sharp. No public restrooms or wash-off spots. There are a few public access options. You will have to park a little ways away at a parking garage. There's some street parking available but usually all taken. All and all such a beautiful beach ⛱️ If you don't mind walking a little bit for some privacy and relaxation time this is the spot for you!

A nice stop off the busy PCH to grab a bite. The ambience and presentation of the food is fantastic for locals and tourists alike. I’d come back again for sure.

Perfect location on Malibu Beach to take all ages. Variety of activities on the pier and within the business's. A few nice dining areas that provide the perfect atmosphere for everyone. Wait staff are courteous and attentive which adds to your dining experience. This is a "must visit" location if you're in the Los Angeles area.

Love the Malibu Farm Restaurant and the Cafe! So awesome that fishing off of the pier is allowed!

One of the best beach site tourist attractions in Malibu is Los Angeles. They are beautiful on all sides, if you look at the hillside, I love the big house on the top of the hill, and they have a restaurant and cafe, too. You can buy coffee and chill on the jetty. For parking, if you are lucky you will get free street parking if not there are two car parking on each side of the place, one side $15 and another side $6 whole days on the left side of the place

Such a beautiful beach! I ended up there just after the sun had set and the sky was beautiful! The tide was coming in and pretty close to the rock wall but it was still a great walk along the shore. Seems like a great location for a photo shoot with the rock formations as there were many photographers taking pictures of people there. There’s a parking lot with a decent amount of parking and port a potties.

My favorite beach in Malibu. It’s beautiful! The plants, wild flowers, rocks and the beach! It’s serene. Typically it’s very quiet here. Love strolling, picnicking, swimming or exercising.

Beautiful beach with stunning views! I got to see plenty of wildlife and cool rock formations. Just be aware that the stairs/hills down to the beach are very steep and rocky. The beach itself is extremely rocky and there is little to no coast line in some areas. Wear closed toed shoes!

Stunning views and one of the best pictures, there were wedding dressed couples and others with professional photographers. The birds and rock formations are stunning beautiful It’s a steep dirt road walk down the mountain some stairs as well and some parts looked like they may not last another heavy rain as it’s creating major craters, fall and holes , kinda scary

This is a nice beach. I went here and was satisfied with my experience. This beach isn’t very wide, and there are bluffs on the edge of it. Because of this, there are two staircases connecting the beach with the parking lot. This beach is nice and sandy and has a natural arch that looks really cool. There aren’t many waves here so the sea is pretty calm. I gave this beach five stars because it looks very nice and has a cool arch.

Oh so many beautiful/gorgeous caves to see & explore here! Just make sure to go during "low tide" or you won't really be able to go & explore the caves without without getting stuck, soaked, or possibly drowning! PSA You can look up what times & days high & low tide will be on google search!

One of the most popular sunset beaches in Southern California. Free to enter and free street parking. We parked about 0.5 miles away and did the short but steep hike in less than 10 minutes down to the beach. It was a Saturday night and a little crowded. The rock formations here look like a Windows screensaver. There were a ton of professional photographers on scene for sunset.

I love the rocky environment! We saw all these pelicans flying around and fishing it was really nice! There is not much space to hang out on the beach, but it was very nice!

This place deserves 5 stars as a place but the parking is horrible, so is the parking lot. I really enjoyed walking around and spending time at the beach. That part is extremely enjoyable. Parking is impossible, and if you have a car be careful about the potholes. You would think given they charge for parking they would take care of the lot. I recommend going but just park on the highway if you are with adults, if you are with kids, skip this place. Too dangerous to try and navigate the parking situation.

Only if so many ‘wannabes’ and countless photographers wouldn’t crowd it ! If you are someone who likes to sit , enjoy, get lost in sound of waves crashing across beautiful rock structures.. may be hit something else but this particular beach. Otherwise rock structures are absolutely stunning. Parking can be tricky but definitely plan on grabbing a spot in designated parking lot that on street since there is no pedestrian crossing.

A great beach! It's pretty far down the road. It has a unique atmosphere, as if it was hidden from the city! The phone doesn't pick up. There's parking and it's like $15 until sundown. The beach is also beautiful.

Gorgeous beach! Not really for swimming due to the rocks and the tides. Great to walk along! The parking lot is packed and hard to find a spot. You also have to pay $3 an hour to park. The stairs up and down will crush you, but it is definitely worth it!

First time here. Really enjoyed the scenery. It is a beautiful location, and it was not packed. The downside was the parking, not too many parking spots. You will most likely have to park out on the side of the road. Also, it is a bit of a walk and you have to take some stairs down. Going down is not bad, but the walk going up is a bit tiring, especially when you are carrying stuff. Did notice a lot of couples and families going to take pictures, wedding, engagement, and family pictures.

This beach is so beautiful!! A popular spot for visitors and tourists so I recommend going on a weekday to get more of a chance for photos and more of the beach to yourself. It is also breathtaking around sunset hour! I can’t wait to go back. It was a perfect spot for an engagement photoshoot with a couple I took photos of.

Such a picturesque beach! There are two steep staircases that lead you down to the shore, but the views are still amazing even if you decide not to go all the way down. When the tide is lower, you can explore the large rock formations on the beach. We went on a Friday morning, and there were only a couple of other groups there. Highly recommend checking it out!

Incredibly picturesque beach, especially around sunset. It does get busy, with many influencers which can get annoying, but it is still a very beautiful place. Depending on the season, the sun doesn’t set on the ocean which is a good thing to note. Water seems a little too risky to swim, especially as the rocks are not visible below the surface. Parking is pretty accessible and free after sunset. Would recommend checking out if in the area

Without a doubt this is my favourite beach not just in California but in the world. Absolutely breathtaking. Not good if you're mobily impaired as there are steep sandy slopes and a lot of steps to get down.

A fantastic place for sunset! Parking is limited but still reasonably amount of spots. Cost starts at $3/hr, but no change is provided. Can pay with card. Bathrooms portaloo style, but in reasonable condition again, with paper available 👍🏼 The ocean and the cliffs are very very beautiful 😍 No drone zone though, check on the app to confirm. Well maintained stairs will take you up and down the cliff side to the beach.

Beautiful and picturesque beach. Great for just relaxation or a stroll along the beach. In the afternoon, the quality of light is superb for photographs, especially when the sky is partially cloudy. You will find a lot of photo sessions from bridal to family portraits and of course, landscapes or seascapes.

Amazing views at sunset and the rock formations were worth the sandy stairs both ways. Parking is very limited in lot. It's 7 for the day. If you're lucky to get a space, go to the kisok cash or charge and place the ticket on the dash board. We'll worth the fee just from the top. Bring a little snack the top has picnic tables. You can go down to the beach and wander the shore along different formations.

One of the best beaches of Malibu, with picturesque coves...the best I have seen ( hence you will see lot of photo shoots happening). Limited car parking spots, paid parking, if you don't get it, you can park on the road(with little walk to reach the entrance). Public free toilets available. Access to the cove is thru stairs and once you reach the beach, it's magical, especially in the evening / sunset. Beautiful naturally formed coves and standing rocks. The sunset is magical. Lot of gulls and baby gulls on the beach, kids have lot of play to do. Must visit.

Parking is very expensive , very poor customer service, non professional , they asked us to leave if we are not ordering right away taking in consideration that we have booked 3 tables and they gave us only 2, we came all the way from San Diego as group resulting in having the worst lunch ever separately from each others plus the food was not cooked well and has no flavor

Beautiful place with lot of flowers. There is small easy trail called Poppy trail to go to visit beach and there is stairs to go down to the beach. There are other trails too. The beach view is very beautiful. The parking is limited and very small so you may need to wait for long time.

I went on a pleasant hike in Point Dume and let me tell you, the view was absolutely stunning. It was one of the most beautiful sights I've ever seen. The way the sun hit the water was just perfect and made everything look so vibrant and alive. I'm so grateful for experiences like this that allow me to connect with nature and appreciate the beauty of this world. It truly was an unforgettable experience.

Perfect small nature excursion for out-of-town travelers. You can stay anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours. Well worth a visit if you want a good quick nature stop without committing to an all-day hike. Parking is a little difficult, there are only a few spots, but just keep your car at the parking lot entrance and wait for someone to leave, they will soon enough!

The point doom is a beautiful place to enjoy the view. You need to walk a little bit around 15 minutes but it is definitely worth the hike. Furthermore I would recommend wearing sneaker or comfortable shoes in order to reach the point better. Bonus tip, you could take some snacks and drinks and just enjoy the view while the sunsets. What I found interesting is that there were people climbing , wouldn’t do it, but look cool. I also saw the ice cream truck so you can enjoy your ice cream while watching the astonishing view.

Love this spot! It's like going to Big Sur without all the driving. Relatively secluded from housing and commercial projects, Point Dune is just past Malibu and features exciting cliffs that overlook an endless ocean. Looking down you can see the thrill of the water hitting rocks hundreds of feet below you with a fear and awe that makes you feel alive. There's also nice paved trails to the beach where surfers can enjoy the pleasant waters. Only bad thing is very limited parking. But there's additional parking few streets down - be prepared to walk a lot.

One of our very favorite beaches. During the week is cost 6 dollars to park all day. The weekend was 8. It's clean and beautiful. There is a small simple hike through beautiful wildflowers. Gorgeous views from the stop. From what I saw it's not stroller friendly. Dogs are not allowed because of the wildlife that lives there. The one day we went there were many pods of dolphins, whales and sea lions. I have seen people rock climbing. I highly recommend this place. Clean bathrooms. Oh and they except card and cash for payment.

Amazingly beautiful views, parking space is very small but quickly open up if you have a little patience. There’s a lot of stairs on one side, a lot of sand through the middle of it all and a lot of cliffs obviously. I would be very careful with kids especially and elders but other than that… absolutely breathtaking 😮‍💨❤️‍🔥

This place seemed like a staple of Malibu. If you pass by Malibu make sure to check out Point Dume. A word of advice, the parking for the Point Dume beach does get full quickly so perhaps arriving earlier might help. The sight is beautiful and if you walk the length of the trail you’ll come upon a section of cliff that looks out into the ocean, underneath you can hear and see the seals. Great visit and made some memorable memories!

Many hiking trails with dramatic ocean views. Great spot for a sunset or to whale watch. Dogs are not permitted. So don't bring one. You can observe sealions from a part of the trail as well.

Absolutely amazing views of the cove on one side and Zuma Beach below on the other. There's limited parking, so arrive early and read the signs. There's public stair access to the cove and a walking path that has a boardwalk for part of it. The trail leads you around to the main outcrop, but there's plenty of viewing spots along the way. Keep an eye out for the beautiful flora and fauna, including seals and sea lions. You might even see dolphins if you're lucky! An easy walk about a mile or so. Would recommend to most people for a quick visit.

Fun! Great views of the ocean, city, islands, and beautiful California coastline! Climb up the hill to see 360° views, 2 routes to choose from. No bathrooms on site. Hang out and watch the sea lions on the rocks and in the water below. We saw birds diving into the water. You might even see dolphins and whales! We did and it was nice to see. There's rock climbing on the other side of the hill by the beach.

It’s $8 for parking per car, which is acceptable. The parking lot is big and close to the trail. The trail is easy, which takes only about 10 mins to get to the top of the cliff. It is beautiful and super chill up there! Definitely worth the hike and the parking fee. Highly recommend this place if you have time. The beach is also pretty and clean, and it was not crowded when we visited today, on weekdays. There are also additional parking spots outside on the road, but it’s hard to find one.

One of my favorite Beach and walk. I love to see the Ocean, sometimes you can see dolphins. More common birds are the Siegels and pelicans. One part of the shore you can see and hear sea lions. The color of the Ocean at some areas remind me of the Caribbean. Just gorgeous.

Looking for a place to watch the sunset in LA? Look no further. Point Dume in Malibu is a breathtaking place, coves and caves, amazing views and beachfront parking. Parking costed us 3 bucks to watch the sunset from 6-:745.

It's an amazing sunset view. Usually, as scenic as you can imagine so pictures and videos always look amazing. Unfortunately, there's only 1 bench that seats 2, noticeable noisy cold wind is always blowing, and the walking surface is exposed to rock, like hiking trail rocks & debris with noticeable amounts of dust in the air. You get an odd mix of fresh ocean breeze and sandy rock dust from the surrounding bluffs & hills.

Just Love Zuma Beach.. Every once in a while, Car Meets are held here, People also often Rock Climb during weekends, & an easy Hike up a Trail will lead to a Scenic (photo worthy) view at the top of a cliff. A Must to visit!!

Beautiful place to view cliffs and the crashing waves. 3 view locations on the far top of the Dume within a 10min walk to the right and stairs down to the beach to the left. Parking is very limited, be aware of red zones and disabled parking,the sheriff arrives quickly. Recommended if you anyway drive by on the beach highway ⛱️

Amazing hike and views. Fairly easy, not too steep at all, you can go high to the clouds or down by the water, but either way the views are fantastic. Great spot for sunrise/sunsets. Highly recommend the trek!

This hike is a must do if you’re in the area and looking for great views. If the free parking lot spots are taken there is an additional paid lot which isn’t too expensive, and it is basically at the foot of the hike plus have easy beach access. Parts of the hike are on sandy trail so I don’t recommend flip flops. Minimum runners. Awesome views from up top.

Being able to visit Point Dume was a spectacle. There are beautiful views of the beach below and the cliffs along the side of the shore. There is a trail that goes up to the top for fantastic views of the area. There is also a staircase that goes down to the beach and there is a path that goes to Pirates Cove. Simply outstanding experience.

Wow! I don't even know where to begin to describe the breathtaking scenery that I witnessed today! The mountain was covered in a sea of vibrant Coreopsis flowers, and the sunset overlooking the ocean was absolutely stunning! It was truly a sight to behold and left me in complete awe!

Always beautiful. Mornings are better for a (rare) chance of spotting a whale. In March-April the fields are decorated with flowers, if the winter was rainy enough. Be ready and patient for an eventual wait to park

One of the most recognizable landmarks of coastal Southern California! Here I’ve really enjoyed hiking Point Dume whenever I’m in the area. It offers benefits of exercise with the awesomeness of nature! The famous shape can be seen throughout the Santa Monica Bay curved coastline. For perspective, Point Dume is said to be at the western terminus of Santa Monica Bay, on the north side, whereas the southwest end would be at Palos Verdes Peninsula. On a clear day the bluff top views are the best, with coastal Los Angeles County visible all the way down to Palos Verdes. Somewhere in between, I’ve even spotted the LA skyscrapers in the background! From Westward Beach, trails traverse the hill along the oceanside or around the hill and up the bluff from Cliffside Drive Since Point Dume must be hiked to reach the hill tops or bluffs, some visitors may opt for the easier, more direct way to get up via Birdview Avenue and Cliffside Drive. Vehicles aren’t permitted to stop along either street, though available spaces may be found along Cliffside Drive at the Dume cove parking lot, signs permitting, including at least two handicap designated spaces. Trails are made of hard packed rocky soil and clays, and well maintained, tho still may be a bit bumpy for handicapped wheeled access. The recommended trails are roped off from natural protected land, as well as being a means of keeping us safe. I’d urge caution when passing along the cliffside, as some spots may be close to the edge and eroded. There’s still more hiking for the adventurous. An inclined trail extends down beneath the cliff to a quiet beach below the southeast side of the bluffs, called Big Dume Beach. Further along the beach narrows into Little Dume Beach and still further is Paradise Cove. There’s no shade cover, so I’d suggest preparation, for any expected length of time here, to dress accordingly and use sunscreen. Lastly, as Point Dume is a public place next to an upscale neighborhood, visitors may be mindful of the residents. Understandably, the surrounding homes have among the highest property values of any real estate in California! As such, residents have regular patrols and surveillance to protect their community. The nearest public restrooms may be found at Westward Beach. If that one’s closed, I’d suggest looking towards the large restroom at the Dume State Beach entrance and lastly, Zuma Beach.

We went to Point Dume, last week when they had extraordinary waves and wind and warnings to stay away from the beach. Of course, this attracted the surfers and made for great people watching in extraordinary circumstances with waves higher than we have ever seen and fierce winds. It was a fun experience and the sky felt magical. Because of the amount of rain LA has been experiencing, everything felt lush and green, and we found some good hiking nearby. If you are driving through Malibu, make this the stop for your day and you will feel amazing for the day. Parking was okay for us, but if you are trying to go the hilltop and park, don’t make the mistake we did and drive up the hill – park on the beachfront parking and walk because there are only 6 spots at the top of the hill.

Amazing beach! Clean and wonderful parking, trails, and beach with optional campsites. We enjoyed an afternoon walking along the beach and enjoying the trails and views from up high. We loved climbing the rocks! There was a lot to see and enjoy and folks could spend a long afternoon or morning here swimming, walking, and enjoying a picnic. The staff were friendly, too!

Nice clean campsite. There are water facets for cleaning throughout the site. The restrooms are clean and showers are token operated so bring some cash for the token machines next to the restrooms (2 mins/$1) or purchase some token at the check in booth with cash or card. There are three general stores throughout the campground and they have the basic things for camping and coffee. They also take credit cards. We camped at site 88, it was shaded but rocky like most sites next to the riverbeds. I noticed the sites in the middle are less rocky. There are fire pits here. There’s a beach access under the highway which is walkable. Quite beach in the morning.

Spectacular ocean and mountain views with an unparalleled sunset. Make it a point to visit the north side of the park, as there are many coves and the beach is not rocky, as is the south side. Park across PCH in the parking lot and walk under the highway to the beaches.

Great camping ground. We'll taken care of and beautiful. Walked over to the beach where we got to see ocean life in the tide pools exposed die to morning low tide. This is a protected beach. Does not have beautiful white sand but rocks and other wonderful things to explore

I only spent time along the beach due to the park being "closed" from recent flood damage. The beach and rock formations are beautiful. It's a clean and interesting area. I look forward to visiting again when it back in full swing.

Great hiking trail, esp when it's 100 degrees in LA. We came here around 6pm and it was about 71 degrees. Also, there weren't a lot of people. It is very quiet and peaceful and clean, right off the PCH. They also have a camping site and a beach. Parking is $3 an hour. You can park along the PCH and walk in. Beautiful scenery as you can see from my photos.

We were happily surprised at this lovely campground. It was quiet and clean and a short walk to the beach. The walkway has been partially washed out due to heavy rains but everyone was very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our stay and the kids loved it.

Truly loved it here. The flower fields, lighthouse and rocks are so pretty. Be careful walking along the rocks as the waves get unexpectedly bigger occasionally and could sweep you away. Parking is free but limited along the road.

Possibly the most beautiful park on the ocean close to Los Angeles. There are two big beaches (north and south) which are perfect to surf. The view is breathtaking and there are few people around unlike at Malibu beaches. Loved every single moment here!

Favorite place to camp that’s not too far away from home. Come at least once a year! Make sure to make reservations well in advance! The cave and the tide pools are a short walk away and amazing!

A great place for families to gather and spend the day at. There are shower facilities as well. There’s a dedicated campsite should you want to campout. There’s free entrance and parking for military personnel (just be sure to bring your identification). There was a lifeguard on duty. Beach is kept nice and clean as well.

I went camping with my hubby for the first time. I got to use all my camping equipment. It was so fun, there are lovely campgrounds, with firepits and tables plus bathrooms are close by. Beach is across the st, with tide pools, caves to explore and many paths to walk bike and hike.

1st time here easy access ranger was super nice explaining everything at the front and was cheaper for the extra car vs casitas ...beach easy accessible even with car with the parking lot (looks to be payed if no camping tag) great malibu beach views and hiking next to the beach but bring a light because super dark can't see anything at night up there and huge drop offs not much railing either Bathrooms were great and well lit even front camp spots and I think we're 3 areas with plenty of bathrooms having IBS it it stresses me out most places are horrible aka casitas these even had sinks on the outside with water (not for washing pots do that at camp spot) clearly a sighn ...there is a separate area to pull up and rv dump too Parking spots fit a truck and car pretty easily in some and some bigger and powered spots too everything paved except camp spots Was quiet and everyone was nice and friendly here The store was cool too had "essentials" I got a monster and lemonade ...if I think of anything else I'll come back

A beautiful and wonderful place to find oneself or to spend time with the family. If you need to get away from the city this is the place. Land meets the sea and nature is everywhere!! Such a beautiful place!! 💞

Do you want to enjoy a sunset with seals, Whales, and quiet serenity in every direction? Here. It's simply here. I'd already driven across the entire country and wondered what difference a beach could make. Especially in the windy bliss of March. But this place.... It was like a magical, spiritual force washed over me and cleansed any pain and stress I'd acquired up to that point. The full grace of God is at work here as I even opened my Highland 12 to share a drink to his majesty in creating such a place and experience that I was blessed having known. Truly the best things in life are free. Sure it may cost you gas to get there, but that price turns meaningless when you gaze out on a sunset like I had that day. Thank you Malibu 🥲

Perfect for swimming and paddle boarding, the water is calmer especially closer to the Malibu pier, there is a small parking lot from PCH and Cross Creek Rd also another parking lot heading to Malibu Pier right next to Adamson museum house. From Cross Creek entrance parking lot, it's easy walking distance to get to the lagoon and you will enjoy passing by Amrikha Pilgrimage Point of Refuge that is on your way to the beach.

Pepperdine is a extremely racist university. If you are Native American, Hispanic, or African-American then do not attend this university. You are only wasting your money and wasting your valuable time. Do not contribute any money to Pepperdine's endowment.

Great campus, used to love coming here in 2022 and 2023 to show visitors the best of Malibu and watch sports, but tried to visit recently and was denied entry. Rude security guard claimed it had always been this way and gaslit me before commanding me to turn around, staring me down like I would try to sneak in. Every security guard in the past has been wonderful and pointed out great views and gave us a visitor parking pass, no issue. We drove over an hour to get here so the experience really put me off.

Graziadio Business School hosted the sixth annual Most Fundable Companies event last week, once again displaying its firm commitment to entrepreneurship. This school and its leaders have built a reputation for themselves in the community regarding entrepreneurship and leadership that sets them apart from most other business schools. For those seeking to make their mark as an entrepreneur, Graziadio Business School is the ideal place to study. Describing the Most Fundable Companies event as “inspirational” or “amazing” would simply be inadequate.

My family has a long history of working here. My grandmother worked here in the past. Two of her daughters and one of their husbands. My aunt Susannah is a leader in HR. Upon arriving back to California for my grandmas memorial) my mother having dumped me there and not even directly related, she laughed at my misfortune, knowing the group theyre part of was going to prey on me. I avoided these people for years because of the abuse I've suffered from all of my family who's worked here. After some years my aunt Kelly and her husband Joel asked me to help them because they might get evicted. Kelley hadn't been working there for some time but collected disability while joel continued working here. For some years I hadn't heard from them until their crisis. I went to their house and put up with alot of abuse after they told me I could stay as long as I wanted. It ended in them physically attacking me because I had enough and was avoiding them. I while there I worked and ended up staying there less frequently up until this incident. I talked to Susannah who basically shifted the blame back to me immediately. This person is incredibly difficult and I feel sorry for her husband and children having to live under this person lording over them. My aunt Kelly and uncle Joel no longer work there but their abuse towards me has been repeated every time I visit them through out the years of my adulthood.

Steep campus and it makes me tired walking around, but it does have great views of the ocean on a good day.

This school is approximately $95,000 a year and it's online. I attended their Masters in Legal Studies online program and it's my worst college experience to date. The program isn't worth the expensive price tag. It's not what I expected. I was given grades lower than what I earned based on this curved grading system. When I complained I was given lower grades to try to grade me out the program. After earning 16 hours of credits the Associate Academic Dean of the Law School used my University records to dig up personal information unassociated with attending school. After having a bad experience at the school I decided to request a refund. Instead of just refunding my tuition they demanded that I sign a settlement agreement instead of just providing a standard refund. This agreement demanded that I give up any rights to speak about my experience and to never file a lawsuit. They refused to increase the amount to something reasonable because they had also contacted all my prior schools and bad mouthed me. They also contacted the state and IRS to tell these agencies that I was receiving the funds and included language in the settlement agreement that would authorize them to do so. They were. Planning to send the refund to the state and IRS after signing instead of giving it to me. They refused to allow me to register, thus holding my degree hostage. and ultimately trying to leave me with nothing related to the tuition refund. After a thorough review of the agreement I decided not to sign it. They had used my personal information to bad mouth me to my employers, post documents with my personal information and any other public information they could find. Suddenly there was a bunch of negative information about me placed on the internet unassociated with me that I believe the Dean posted or had someone else post. Then when I removed my financial aid from the school it was discovered that the school had put all types of false statements on my financial aid file in an attempt to prevent me from attending another school with my financial aid. The next school I went was kind enough to inform me if this negative information. Then after taking the last 3 classes suddenly I was getting bad grades on my homework and other assignments. I don't recommend this school because it was very expensive, the administrators appear racist and very insensitive to African American people. . I have proof of my experience and many students are disappointed but stay because the credits will not transfer to another school. It's a financial trap that will leave you with credits you can't use if you don't do well in the program, get flunked out the program and graded out. Instead of the instructor providing the grades in the class a committee gets together to decide who will get good grades or not in the program. The grades come out 4 weeks after the class is over. They use this grading system that's ultimately discriminatory because it's not based on merit it's based on this committee deciding if your good enough to receive a degree from their school or not. Most people just leave and move on. I wanted my degree and it's very hurtful how mean and cruel they have been to me. Now I have over $65,000 in student loan debt and no degree. Go to another school your better off especially if you are African American

I feel like I'm taking part of Zoey 101

On September 11 every year the main lawn adjacent to PCH is adorned with thousands of flags. Each flag representing a person that died on 911. It’s truly beautiful and moving. It’s a great photo opportunity through the flags looking towards the Pacific Ocean. Go near sunset.

Stayed in the student accommodation before, those students are very rude and with bad attitude, they steal foods and never apologise, and claim it’s America culture, so stealing is American style? Lol

I’ve been watching the Nickelodeon TV show Zoey 101 and I know that it was a film here. It’s a really good show. I have it on Paramount plus and Netflix and. I watch it a lot Britney Spears sister, Jamie was the star of the show and Britney Spears actually wrote the theme song to the show if you’re a really big fan of the show, you and Britney Spears, and her sister. You should watch it you’ll recognize the campus. It’s still a classic show today. Next time I check out this campus I’m gonna be thinking of Zoey 101.

An interesting stop while in or passing through Malibu with views of famous Surfrider Beach. The house tour costs ($7 adults, $2 kids) and while masks were required, the guides were not wearing them. They were a little over exuberant to share, having been closed for some time. If short on time, skip the inside (no photos allowed) and enjoy the scenic exterior.

Came in on a Sunday afternoon, parking was $8 right outside. Beautiful views. We did a walk around as the house itself was closed and we couldn’t go in but it was still really nice to visit and spend half an hour here.

Wandered here accidentally after grabbing lunch near the Malibu Pier. This place is a historic house of some guy that used to own land here. Then it became a military installation during WW2. Now, the property belongs to the state and converted into a museum to a bygone era. It's free to enter the grounds, but admission to the house itself cost money. I didn't actually go inside, but the exterior was nice.

Beautiful architecture and surroundings. This property is not accessible from the State Beach as it is fenced off. One will need to enter from the Pacific Coast Highway. Definitely worth the visit.

Beautiful grounds right by the beach, you can feel and smell the salty air. Perfect picture opportunities everywhere. Some of the signs around the grounds talk about the Chumash people that once lived here. It is sad to learn they were unfairly driven out of this beautiful place and their homes.

The Adamson House is amazing! The use of tile throughout the home and garden exterior is remarkable. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the ocean views stunning. If you come on a Friday or Saturday, the home interior is open for tours. There's also a small gift shop on the property open occasionally. There's no onsite parking, so be prepared to walk a bit to reach the house.

Historical landmark. Explored on our own! 15-20 min self guided tour around the property. Sall signs with history and fun facts along tbe walk. Beautiful tile work everywhere. Stunning views of malibu lagoon and coastline. No beach access. Not sure why being it was a random Monday guided house tour was not a thing, along with the gift shop being closed. Super super clean restrooms were open though.

We did not tour the inside of the Adamson House Museum, but we were able to walk the grounds. Everything seemed to be very well cared for and manicured. The inside is supposed to be the Taj Mahal of tile, so perhaps when we return, we will get to see that. Looks like an incredible place to be able to call home back in the day.

Amazing historic home full of handmade tiles, each room with its own unique motif and custom furnishings. The docent led tour was engaging and informative. The beautiful gardens of this State Park are open every day. Located just above Surfrider Beach in Malibu. There is no on-site parking, but there are public lots nearby. Will definitely return!

If you’d like to create a lifetime memory in a gorgeous venue that has charm, history and a golden hour at Sunset: look no further than Adamson House Museum. The grounds are an excellent backdrop for celebrations of fun that include photos to capture your treasured memories. I recently attended a family wedding event at this location. We had a large grouping and it always felt spacious. It was mostly an outdoor event with typically, glorious California weather. Friends and family from near and far gathered. Three multi generational clans came together for a celebration that will stand the test of time. Adamson House Museum features settings of truly remarkable beauty, elegance and high drama! Everything you could dream of in providing a place to bring people together for a happy occasion you can find here for the event you’re planning. After the wedding and just before dinner, during cocktails; we had small group tours of the interior of the space. It’s a well kept and delightfully engaging Museum experience. We walked back into another world. Much of the design is unique to the house and the grounds are immaculate. If you’re a fan of Spanish Revival architecture then it’s a must see. It had a mini Hearst Castle vibe with a Moorish edge. The Docents were very personable and knowledgeable. From my experience I can recommend it highly. I’m so glad to have shared this space with my nearest and dearest and we will have fond memories that will never fade.

This Malibu gem is a must see! It's the best $7 you'll ever spend in Malibu! The docent-led tours of inside the house run on the hour (I went on the 1 pm tour) and are absolutely fascinating. The house inside is so beautiful, you can tell it was a labor of love for the Adamsons. Unfortunately, they only allow pictures of the outside of the house, but there are many stunning photos you can take from the outside. You'll also learn interesting local history. I'm so glad the house was preserved, after nearly being bulldozed to make way for a parking lot!

I went via fieldtrip by CPP. The house was very nice and well kept, and it being by the ocean had great views. Worth visiting yes as well as the tour is $7 a person.

Used to be a great place on Sundays for Cars and Coffee, but recently some of the store owners decided to now allow people coming in for cars and coffee to park inside the entire parking structure. Apparently they're claiming that there is no parking for their employees. This is clearly an excuse because last Sunday when we were there and all of us were parked outside, the parking lot literally had about 5 employee cars and like 100 spots open. Clearly they don't care about losing business.

Really nice to go and eat lunch. Very family oriented. No trash walking around and clean very clean. May need more bathrooms for when it gets packed full of families.

One of my fave places to go to. Food is amazing, atmosphere is amazing especially when there is a live band and lots of cool shopping stores to visit and enjoy your day by the beach

This place has its own California charm and looked just about walking distance to the beautiful beach. Shopping is very enjoyable here as you could walk around and pick your style. It’s family friendly and has couple of small play areas for kids. Multiple restaurants to dine in and there is a lovely bar if you just want to enjoy a glass of wine! The only reason I gave it 4starts it’s because of parking! Parking is a bit hard but where isn’t in Cali!!!😉

I've been here a few times. You can walk around the beautiful area and check out many different places and restaurants. Grab a hot chocolate cup or taste some chocolate bites. They have coffee beans here, which I love, and food venues that offer Vegan options. Suitable for families with kids too. Parking is free.

There’s a Soundsystem that plays through here next to the kids park that simply just plays three commercials over and over. One of them for McDonald’s. We left because were sick of hearing the three commercials over and over and over again. Morons

It's a nice place for shopping. Only thing is parking. It's between all the stores and restaurants so it's a bit busy around you all the time. Sundays are very busy on the parking lots. It's the day when people show off their cars and there are plenty. Nice and clean area.

You get a very dry $15 regular size burrito. No chips and 1 small cup of sausage. You need about 5 cups for this dry thing. When I ask for mire sauca he said it was in the bag. Evidently he didn't want to part from his mediocre green sauce, ei5her

I have been visiting Malibu Country Mart ever Sunday for the past few weeks to see all of the amazing cars that come and park up or drive through. It really is a fantastic meet up. Also there are a lot of very nice stores and restaurants.

Cons: Parking is a headache 🥲 Everything is pricey 💲 Pros: Love the Santa holiday event ! I’ve gone each year. Love that there’s something for everyone. Playground for kids, good coffee and great restaurants for parents, interesting shops for home decor and designer clothes. My fav store for decently priced “Malibu style” outfits is Nati boutique. Kinda hidden in the back, but such a gem 💎

The best place to go for coffee, smoothies and to see gorgeous people 🤪🤪🤪that will snub you! I am a comedian and lived in Malibu for a year 🤪 and I’m a comedian so it was wonderful.

30 minutes each way if you take the paved road from the parking lot, but for better views start by going up the steps to your right at the beginning of the paved road. Somewhat overgrown but manageable. This trail starts out very sunny but after about 20 minutes you are in a shady forest. Very cool fallen tree across the creek on this section. The end of the trail at the waterfall is very narrow and somewhat anticlimactic. You can get close to the waterfall but there are warnings to not cross the barriers or get into the water or you face a $5,000 fine or 6 months in jail. Nice trail, good views, cool old ruins of the homes up there, but if you are looking for a waterfall to get close to or wade in the water, look elsewhere.

Got there at 7 in the morning to get easy parking. A moderate hike for this 65 year old to get to the waterfall. Early morning fog made it a cool wonderful temp. Keep to the left and stay on Solstice Canyon road to avoid thick foliage and slippery rocks and water crossing. I loved this hike and plan to do it again.

A beautiful place to hike in a gorgeous part of the state. This is one of my favorite hiking areas in Malibu and depending on the time you go parking is usually pretty easy. There are many different trails with varying lengths and difficulties. One of the first attractions you’ll see is the Keller House which burned down in 2007 but now currently is gated off so you cannot go inside.

We hiked the Solstice Canyon loop. This 3 mile trail has a lot of interests. There are ruins, a tiny waterfall, pretty wild flowers for this season, and the nice views. It was very easy to walk and I really like there. I will introduce this trail to my other friends who like to hike.

Awesome place for a walk. It's very beautiful and easy but I came too late to get to a viewpoint before dark. If you give yourself at least 2 hours from when you arrive, you'll enjoy your time here

This park is amazing! The views are breathtaking and is a nice scenic hike. I like to walk up through the mountains first and down to the foundation of the house/ waterfall area. HOWEVER, there is a VERY ATTRACTIVE park ranger that protects and looks over that space 😍. Protect him at all cost! I’m sure ppl hit on him often, and lawd I understand why. Moral of this story… go take a hike!

Beautiful hike to a small waterfall and the ruins of a couple of former houses that existed in the canyon pre-park days. It's a 3 mile hike round trip - very easy to hike if you stay on the main trail. If you decide to detour up the TRW trail it's a little more challenging, and overgrown, but the wildflowers make it worth it. Parking is extremely limited, be prepared to park close to PCH and hike in to the trailhead (about 3/4 of a mile extra each way)

i loved this hike!! you are walking right along a river so you hear it, practically the whole time. its a medium level hike. I saw little kids and older ppl. my daughter doesnt care for hikes and evn she loved it. its has plenty shade and greenery. Has historic building that burned down and a cute little waterfall at the end. Theres some Parking spaces but Not that many. And its very close to the beach!

A beautiful canyon with lovely trails. Winter and spring is the best time to visit as the water flows really well. The loop trail is approximately 2hrs long which is well worth it as you get to climb the canyon and see beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean and as far as Catalina Island. Less foot traffic in the morning.

Coincidentally went hiking there on the summer solstice... easy hike.. wide trails.. love the ruins there and the river has a couple little waterfalls...lo!vely

Easy hike, clean, so far no obvious tagging (thank you for keeping nature, natural). Different trails from easy to moderate. Take your pick! The ruins were better than expected actually, and the waterfall, although very little, os pretty to see.

Very beautiful here. The beach is clean and less crowded. Not easy to park tho.

We walked to the Malibu Lagoon State Beach from our condo, which was great. It was easy to find and easy to walk through. The scenery is beautiful in every direction. The rocks in the surf as well as the walk down Malibu Colony Beach is fantastic -- lots to see, great air to breathe and VERY clean beaches! The surfers are also entertaining in their full wet suits all jousting with one another to catch the next wave. Highly recommended!

This is a wonderful beach in Malibu. This beach has beautiful scenery of the lagoon and ocean, room to find a spot for your belongings on the beach, and it looks like you could walk to the pier if you wanted to :) The only downside is that the parking lot is small and there can also be a jam to get into it. So if there is a line, be prepared to wait.

I liked this spots views… easy paid parking on queRcode ($3 hr) and then a little walk to the bay and beach as it wraps around for a lovely view! Had a few bums living in the bay bushes with carts and trash with them I didn’t like that too much! Portapottys there also were not something I liked to walk past especially people don’t close them and the wind was whipping them open one a few stalls so you saw people peeing!

Had never been to a beach in Malibu and I’ve always wanted to. We found parking easily after coming from having a late lunch before heading back home. It has a cute small beach easy going vibes. At some point I sat in the water just enough for the water to go to above my stomach. There was a small walk to get there but nothing unbearable. It was about a three minute walk from the car to the sand. I was dug in the sand and fell asleep for a while with the sound of the waves. Had a great time but coming to the beach wasn’t part of the plan and I didn’t bring extra clothes 😂

If you want to put yourself in a joyful while peaceful location, here it is. Malibu Lagoon beach facing ocean one side, and facing lagoon the other side, you get to experience the cool Pacific ocean and maybe surf a little bit, while you can meditate and chill a little bit looking at the lagoon and the mountain. Me and my family spent a quality afternoon here, from now on this is a place maked with out beautiful memories.

Malibu Lagoon State Beach is such an awesome place to walk around and check out all the beautiful nature. The vibes of the beach are just incredible and so relaxing. It's definitely one of my favorite places to go to unwind and enjoy the beauty of the outdoors.

Incredibly friendly and accommodating staff. They prepared a cheese spread for us and a selection of wines that paired really well with the food. All wines were high quality, great flavor and body. They also let us play our own music which added to the personalized experience. Can't wait to go back! Highly recommend for small groups and celebrations.

It was ok. The wine was over priced from what you can get it off the shelf and the rest of the customers were very young and pretentious. Lots of non-alcoholic substances being taken in the porta-john. The website talked about the ocean view, but you can't see the ocean from the garden patio area at all. The entertainment was fun. Beware that the tip is automatically included. Don't tip twice. The wine was good!

100% unique access to (and views of) canyon waters ocean-bound. I also recall the story of who may have been the original owners. I enjoy local history. Wine: Overpriced flights of "aged" (aka dirty) pours. I did find one that I ended up purchasing, maybe $80-some for the bottle. Not that I couldn't have found a better wine for a lower price elsewhere... I felt like supporting the original Rosenthal. Ambience: I went in on a weekday afternoon. TVs had daytime TV playing. Cleaning supplies were in full view. No real courtesy. 2 out of 10. Hours of operation: Limited. Why would I go to this place? The wine was overpriced and not very good, The service was poor. Location was good. What else??

A cozy venue tucked away directly across from Malibu beachfront. A good variety of wines and great service from an exceptional staff. I look forward to returning. My friends and I had a great time. The music trio performed well also.

Great little place for a nice glass of wine, some cheese and to catch up. Spent about 4 hours there, they have a nice wine selection, a small food menu selection but does the job after 3 wine bottles. Eventually we asked to move our table because of the sun and they were very understanding. It's a little overpriced but expected for Malibu.

Loved my Sunday here. Music was great. Location (at the beach) was great. Only negative was the $60 for a bottle of mediocre wine. Will go again when it's warmer.

Great spot in Malibu for wine! The patio is huge! The wines were very tasty as well, we especially loved the rose. Some are even made from grapes in Malibu. Stop here after a hike or the beach!

I have driven by Rosenthal's about once a month and always wanted to check it out. So, since I work on Sundays I thought, why not take my wife there for an early Mother's day stop. Well, she loved it. Greg was our server at the inside tasting room and made us feel very welcome. The tasting is not cheap at $18 - $21 but you need to treat yourself once in awhile. We agreed that the wines are very nice, specially the SR 2018 Grenache. We belong to 2 wineries which run in the $24- $32 range but they are in Oxnard and Ojai. Being on PCH in Malibu you can expect to pay a bit more. We enjoyed a bottle at $48 along with live music and some better than average food truck selections. We arrived at 12:40 and got very lucky with a parking spot right up front on the highway. That saved us $8 parking fee. They should consider parking validation with wine purchase. The tasting room is quaint and becomes small once the heard on people show up from 2 to 4. All the outside seating except 2 small 4 chair tables were marked reserved which was disappointing but we got the front row barrel with shelf center stage for the live music. With all that said I still give this a 4 out of 5 only because of the lack of unreserved seating. The age group is mostly 21 to 29 with some older people hanging out like us, just relaxing, sipping, eating, people watching and enjoying the overall experience that makes PCH worth the 40 mile drive from Camarillo. We will return and bring others and snacks to enjoy next time around. Thanks to Greg for remembering my name too, that actually means a lot. See you next time.

Fun outdoor patio with ocean breeze and friendly staff. Went with friends to celebrate bday and we had a great time! We really enjoyed sparkling rose.
