Absolutely awesome place for all levels of baseball fans. The staff are outstanding..friendly, knowledgeable/informative and very helpful. The memorabilia and stories with each of them is awesome and full of diversity and history of the sport. Well done! My family will absolutely go again!

A must go to if you love baseball. The museum will take you a min of 2.5 hrs, there are 3 floors you start at the top and work your way down. There is an elevator. Museum goes over every aspect of baseball from the beginning of it all. There is also a section for the female baseball players. The town is surrounded by apple orchards and makes for a beautiful drive.

I am not a huge baseball but I do enjoy the game overall. The museum has some great displays covering all teams and the history of baseball. The town of Cooperstown is a cute quaint town that is worth spending some time in. Overall I was happy with my visit.

Amazing place! I'm not even a huge baseball fan but being in this place surrounded by the baseball faithful, history and mythology of America's pass time just filled me with so much energy and joy. Anyone interested in American popular history has to visit this Mecca in Cooperstown. Definitely recommend for anyone even vaguely interested in baseball or American popular history!

My husband LOVES baseball so we had to visit while nearby on a work trip! We spent 3.5 hours inside and I think he could have spent even more time! They had excellent displays, photos, videos, etc… definitely recommend!

This was an amazing place, at times feeling like sacred ground for the sport. Overall we were impressed and happy we made the stop on our way home to Oh. There are 3 floors and you should watch the movie first to really get in the right frame of mind. I was expecting the women’s leagues exhibit to be larger from watching A League of their Own. But there was just so much to remember from years past and I found myself wondering what these players were doing in retirement. It’s well worth the trip and Cooperstown itself is an amazing American town set on a lake perfect fort a picnic lunch and then some ice cream.

The Hall of Fame is the keystone that completes an awesome little town. Even those that don't like baseball will enjoy the HOF. We have been there many times and the changing displays and movie updates make each visit unique. This was the first time visiting in the winter and the lack of crowds and quietness was a whole new aspect.

An incredible place of American history, way more than just a history of baseball. It turned out that my experience was about the memory of my father, my husband, and all the summer night moments of watching the game on TV.... I think this is probably not unique to me. What looks small from outside is actually a pretty big museum. I needed good 3 hours or more, to fully appreciate this place. I'm not a super crazy baseball fan, but it meant so much to me to visit this place, to my surprise. Absolutely a must go place. It was so wonderful to get in touch with our past, particularly after COVID, to remind myself those American heros who have been sustaining our culture throughout the history.

I am 73 years old. I have loved Baseball since I was 8 years old. I have dreamed of visiting the Hall Of Fame since I was a child. Today, that dream came true! My son brought me on a road trip from Houston, Texas to Cooperstown, New York to make my childhood dream come true! Today, I got to see the exhibits of the Baseball players I grew up watching: Mickey Mantle, Ted Williams, Hank Aaron, Willie Mays, Yogi Berra, the list goes on and on. I got to see the exhibits of the players I idolized but never got to see play; Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Walter Johnson, Cy Young, the list is endless!! I was at and in the Baseball Hall Of Fame!! I enjoyed this day as much as I have ever enjoyed any day of my life. I was a kid again, if only for a few hours. I WAS AT THE BASEBALL HALL OF FAME!! It was all I could do to hold back my tears of joy! The HOF is beautiful! Cooperstown, New York is beautiful! The folks at the Hall are simply awesome. They are knowledgeable, friendly, polite, and helpful to a fault! They made my childhood dream come true an even better experience! This has been such a fantastic and awesome experience, it is difficult to put into words. I am already hoping to be able to come back to Cooperstown to visit the Hall AND the village again......very soon!

As a lightweight baseball fan, and a retired non-athletic woman who only ineptly has played ball, I expected to amble through the museum in a just a couple of hours, but there was so much fun stuff to read, and so many visiting baseball fans to interact with as we took in the exhibits, that I was there five hours. The history - early baseball, clubs, standardizing the rules, negro leagues, women's baseball, and wonderful stories of all sorts of people who played and/or enriched the game - it was just wonderful. Don't miss the introductory film. The hall of fame plaques are career vignettes of the players. Just overwhelming and very cool. Loved the statue (in with the hall of fame plaques area) of Ted Williams and the notes about it. There are areas that focus on key contributors - Babe Ruth, Cy Young, Connie Mack, Ken Griffey, Ichiro, etc. - and areas that focus on groups of contributors - Latin Americans, Negro Leagues, etc. And there are interactive opportunities. Many. Including the opportunity to take your photo and be emailed baseball cards of yourself and the team you select. Fun for all. Highly recommend IF you have any interest at all in baseball. I noticed families, couples, and groups of just women and just men. Everyone seemed to be having a good time.

An absolute must see for the true baseball fan! This is been on my bucket list since I was a little boy and coming here made me feel like a kid again. They do such a good job of making all the visitors feel comfortable and excited for being there. You start off the tour with a 15 minute movie which gives you chills about the history of the game and where it's come from. Really well made. From there you're free to walk about the three floors and see the various artifacts that have been left over from the players over the years. Allow yourself some time to stop and read as you really learn a lot. I wish I had more time. Highly highly recommend for the true baseball fan.

Watch the video in the theater. If you have love of baseball, family, history, or a heart you'll be moved. Take 2 to 3 hours and you can see the whole museum portion without rushing. Take more if you're someone who wants to read everything. The Hall itself is cool for a baseball nerd, but not the main reason to come. Cooperstown is place you can spend a whole weekend alone or with your family.

My life long best friend and I love baseball and had never yet visited the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY. We decided to make the trip Saturday April 6, 2024. It was definitely well worth the trip. Price of admission is $30 and you must reserve the date that you plan to attend when purchasing your tickets which can easily be done at the national baseball hall 9f Fame website.

Baseball lover mecca! A must, for fans. Amazing memorabilia and history. Charming little town, and lots of walking around. Gotta check out every nook and cranny! Very friendly, people, for guidance.

Really loved our experience here! From the friendly staff to the well laid out exhibits. A definite recommendation for fans of every level. A good bet for American history fans as well. We were there in February, so not crowded at all. We imagined in the summer the place would be wall to wall, so take that into account when planning your visit.

Had a great time. There were so many interesting, interactive, and thoughtful exhibits. Went during the off-season and it was great, not crowded whatsoever so we were able to take time to view things without being rushed. The short film was excellent, very moving for baseball lovers.

It was a 🪣 list visit. It was a great spot. This place is crazy in the summer and parking can be nonexistent. This was an early spring visit with few tourists. Shops on the main drag all sell the same BB stuff. Buy your goodies at the HOF.

This is a surprisingly large museum on a large piece of beautiful lakeside property where James Fenimore Cooper once lived. The exhibits of American art are first class. And when you’re done be sure to walk around the beautiful grounds and spend some time along the lake.

Incredible art museum with many varied exhibits. We spent an hour here, and could've stayed longer if we hadn't been hungry 😊 I highly recommend this to any art or history lovers! And the ladies bathroom was very fancy! ✨

Amazing midsized museum in Central New York. The museum places a great importance on community involvement with a story walking path near the lake for children and even some baseball memorabilia for purchase in the gift shop. The exhibits halls are midsized and very well organized. The building itself is beautiful and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Definitely recommend if you're in town for the Baseball Hall of Fame, have an interest in art or just have a few hours to contemplate beautiful works.

The art museum was fabulous as always! Even with exhibits I'm not sure I will enjoy, I always learn something new and end up being amazed. This museum curates some fabulous shows. Also, there are little cafe serve some nice food and you can take it to their back patio and sit and enjoy your meal while overlooking Lake Otsego. Please like this review if you found it helpful.

Beautiful grounds supporting a lovely showcase of modern and local artists. I appreciated the broad styles of art represented. There is truly something for everyone on display without the collection becoming overwhelming.

We visited on Labor Day for the last day of the M. C. Escher exhibit. The Escher exhibit was extensive and information was posted on nearly every piece. There was also a Native American exhibit that we enjoyed as well. The building is beautifully restored with large, clean bathrooms, a gift shop and a small beverage and snack shop (we did not partake). Parking is free and admission is very reasonable. We did not take the thruway and the drive from central New York was lovely.

Amazing art museum with a renowned flagship exhibit of Native American artwork. There are also several rotating exhibits in the museum, as well as a small cafe and gift shop. If you’re passing through, I’d highly recommend visiting it especially if you’re interested in indigenous history.

As you can see, the art on wood has a 3D appearance. It's a flat piece painted to seem this way. Each of these has it's own different look. Randy Johnson (retired baseball pitcher) has a section of his trips to Africa, very nice and well done. We found the lower level to be more of our interest.

This is a beautiful art museum to visit. I've been many times in the summer but this was my first visit for the holidays. The exquisite architecture is enhanced by many tasteful holiday displays. If you have the opportunity, I strongly recommend a visit to the Fenimore to get into the holiday spirit.

This is a very cool smaller museum. Each portion is well considered, and the staff is quite nice. The artwork associated with James Fenimore Cooper is almost the cherry on top of the overall experience.

Terrific museum with so much to see! The museum's collections are displayed over three floors in a neoclassical mansion that overlooks Lake Otsego They have wonderful displays of traditional folk art and Native American art and artifacts. Grandma Moses, Gilbert Stuart, and Thomas Cole are amongst prominent artists whose works are featured. The museum also displays traveling exhibits. Currently, one of the traveling displays features former MLB pitcher Randy Johnson's photographs. They also had a nice display of psychedelic rock and roll art from the 1960's. The museum also has tours that you can join while visiting. The tours are informational and the guide did a great job explaining the works of art in the museum. Didn't see a place to purchase tickets online so they have to be purchased at the museum. There is a gift shop and small café located in the museum as well. Be sure to take a stroll on the grounds surrounding the museum. There are some nice exhibits, a garden, and a nice view of the lake.

A beautiful museum, they showcased a local artist from Springbrook. And I got a chance to see all the other galleries. Such beautiful presentation!

Quaint history museum focused on mid-1800's farming implements, tools, life style, and specialty trades of the time. Set as a small town with several well restored buildings each highlighting a specific trade. The blacksmith, printing, barns, farmhouse, and tavern were very well presented each with a staff person in period authentic costume answering questions and demonstrating their craft. The second floor of the main building has an extensive display of trade-specific old tools and farming equipment. This is a very worthwhile exhibit to see if you're a tool aficionado. There are some farm animals such as pigs, goats, sheep, cows, horses, chickens, and turkeys. Most are in fenced areas and some can be petted though the fence. There's a restored carousel with a $1 per person charge to ride. A very nice nostalgic exhibit. Light food, soft drinks and snacks are available in a cafe building. There's an admission to enter the main museum property. Kids will like the visit and it can be enjoyed in a few relaxed hours. When in the Cooperstown area this is a good place to visit with the family.

We had a fantastic time exploring the Farmers Museum and Historic Village in Cooperstown. The warmth and hospitality of everyone we encountered made it an unforgettable adventure!

Super fun very informative everyone is nice and easy to talk to and ask questions. I spent about 4 hours there with my wife and two daughters it was laid back and just a good time. Highly recommend for a day trip.

The Farmers' Museum in Cooperstown, NY is a museum that recreates rural life in the 19th century. The museum has interactive exhibits, historical reenactors, and farm animals. Each of the structures in the historic village were actual buildings that stood in different NY State towns and villages in the 1800's. In many ways the museum is a like a smaller version of Williamsburg, VA. The museum grounds also have nice views of Lake Otsego and the Leatherstocking golf course. Historical reenactors did a great job explaining their crafts! Most of them also sell the items they make at the museum. Other buildings in the village have informational displays that provide good detail about life in the 1800's. Check out the doctor's office where you can see actual medical tools and medicines from this time period. Don't forget to see the farm animals at the end of the village. When walking in be sure to see the Cardiff Giant. This hoax captured America and the world's attention in the 1870's. PT Barnum even offered to buy it. All staff members were friendly. There is a gift shop on the grounds of the museum with reasonably priced items. If you don't want to go into the museum there is also a gift museum outside the museum grounds that you can go to. A very well put together historical museum that is fun for all ages.

Nice place for a family outing. Lots of history. You can watch reenactments of various old world skills such as blacksmithing, weaving, farming, cooking, and living. The store is stocked with many cool trinkets to remember you visit. Admission price is reasonable, and during certain times, admission is free. Great place to visit, especially in the fall harvest season. I recommend you stop in and check it out. Make sure the kids ride the merry go round. They will love it.

OMG. Everyone was so knowledgeable. The grounds were gorgeous. The animals looked like they were well taken care of. Make sure to check out the working Carousel. Will definitely be back with the grandkids. Great time. Thanks to them all for keeping it going.

Great museum! with friendly demo and store staff. Had a great day. Went very early in the season. Only a few other visitors. The blacksmith, stores, farm, carousel, museum, and Cardiff Giant were all much fun to see! It was perfect for us. We got membership as combo support for the place and to add it to the "any time we wanna" list of day trip places. (and the Fenimore Art Museum across the street) Wheelchair Accessibility: They have good accessibility to the main entrance and store (from the front). Most of the buildings on the map are clearly labeled for accessibility. However, it was annoying that some buildings were only accessible on side or back entrances. It was further annoying that most of the accessible entrances still had bumps or door/sill/landing geometry that made it hard for my son to go in with just someone holding door for him using his powered wheels. A couple building's had bumps that were too steep for his front wheels even with all the power assist. I had to tip or lift him over the bumps. Glad I still can.

Spent close to 4 hours there and only saw half... well, if you read about all the exhibits you could spend the whole day. Can't wait to go back to see the rest!

What a fun place to spend a couple hours! Staff were all FANTASTIC! Beautiful setting in an obviously beautiful town. Great place for anyone, kids, families, interesting date ideas. So much to see, so peaceful and relaxing.

Fun for all ages! Great tourist location for kids to see, learn, and interact with farm animals and farm workers. We thoroughly enjoyed this museum and would definitely return when in the area again. I believe this museum can apparently be rented as a venue for weddings and held in the old church on site after operating hours as there was a wedding that was just beginning around their closing time of 5p on a Saturday.

Really enjoyed walking around this outdoors museum. Like a small village with different buildings with “live” blacksmith pharmacists etc of the period explaining there work which most things were available for purchase the original buildings brought in from different areas

This visit was for the Fall Harvest Festival. I had a nice time. It is definitely a family event; great for children, anytime.

This is such a great place! Live town with people baking, blacksmith making, pharmacist had live leeches too! It was weaving & fiber weekend when I went and people were spinning & weaving. Farm animals to see & gardens. Houses and information about life in the 1800s. I will go every time I can. You can become a member and save on entry & purchases!

I paid $200 for 2 savanna banana tickets. Tickets were way oversold. No room in the stands. We had to stand on a stone wall far from 3rd base. Could not see. Had to stand the whole time. All antics were in front of the stands. No antics in the outfield. Very disappointing. I was embarrassed bc I had invited a guest.

Charming, old-school-feel ballpark just a couple of blocks down from the Hall of Fame. A great experience if you can catch one of the special event games played here in May or July.

I only got to see the outside..but, that was enough for me to see how amazing it is! It's a simple old school stadium, where many of the greatest players have gathered! It would be really cool to catch a game here one day! The town of Cooperstown is so cool! I wish I lived here!

Amazing historic field with classic stands and bleachers. The main gate was open which allows you to walk in the historic stands behind home plate. You really get a feeling what it was like to see a game back in the day. You couldn't go on the field or walk through any of the bleachers on the sidelines. The bathrooms on the exterior were open though!

I was here in the winter and it was closed. Baseball history for sure!

Saw the HOF game here last week. A lot of fun. Staff awesome. Low score because the field is of a very low quality including the grass maintenance and the rock warning track. With the funding and respect that exists for this field, it deserves better. Would love to see if get a major surface upgrade as well as upgrade to sound system and scoreboard (which is barely visible out in left field).

Extremely outstanding experience for the All-star teams of Central New York to play on this field, where baseball got it's start. The kids will now have memories of a lifetime playing baseball here. Everybody was great.

It's pretty awesome. To see how the game used to look. It's free to get in and parking is 2 dollars an hour. It's a block from the hall of fame. It would be really cool to go out onto the field.

Very clean and friendly shop to explore. You can find very unique gifts for any one in your family. Prices have gone up but that's the normal now a days. I've been visiting here for years and it's still fun ! Children are always outside playing or feeding the many different colored ducks in the pond. If you are in the area it's a must to stop by and see for yourself !

I’ve been going to Fly Creek Cider Mill since forever. Well-known to locals, it’s a particularly wonderful Fall destination. Apples are delicious, as are the many other products they sell. Absolutely worth visiting if you’re in the area! Don’t forget to feed the ducks!

I've been coming to Fly Creek Cider Mill since I was a young girl and this year I was able to take my four children to also experience it. I now live in Maryland but our relatives still live in NY and we always try to make the effort to come visit Fly Creek. The setting is beautiful, the staff is warm and welcoming, the foods and products are delicious, and there is plenty for the children to do. My kids enjoyed duck racing, feeding the ducks, and tasting the cider. The fudge selection is delicious and we took some for the long drive home! The new tasting room area with seating was very nice. I enjoyed the flight sampler (my favorites were the wine slushes!). Very thankful this business was able to survive after the impact of COVID closures.

Nice place for an easy lunch. They have primarily roadside and bar type foods. The pies were very good as were the soups. The animals are nice to look at and there is a lot to look at. The shop is full of goodies to peruse. They have done a nice job of making it a family friendly place to visit. There’s a small children’s play area too near the picnic tables. We were there about 90 min but didn’t get to do a tasting at the time. They have a cute rubber duck there that we enjoyed.

Great place!! Fantastic cider and other apple products. New tasting room for alcoholic beverages. Outside play space for children is excellent. Lots of fun feeding the ducks! Absolute must to visit in the region!

Had a lot of fun feeding the ducks and shopping in the store. The snack bar is excellent with so many options. The apple dumpling and hot cider were delicious. All of the staff members that we encountered were so nice and accommodating. I just wish we could have seen the cider making.

We come here each year, I love to use the growth chart❤️ my kids love feeding the ducks and doing the duck races. Being a local it's a nice afternoon out. Staff is so friendly and helpful. The owner is awesome, today I watched him changing garbage in the food area not an employee, that shows you how family this place is. And I love the new addition that was added on this year

I love going here every summer with my family. They have great food, animals, groceries, and souvenirs to choose from.

Plenty of parking across the street. Greeters once inside. Samples. Spices. Flavors. Inside Apple cooler/room. Snacks, treats, indulgences (kitchen gadgets, towels, soaps, pet cookies & toys). Outdoor eats: had the home made mac & cheese and apple cider doughnuts accompanied with cider tea. YUMMY. Cousin had sausage sandwich and apple pie & ice cream washed down with hard cider. Portions Aplenty! Games and challenges for kids. Feed duck's & geese. Stroll around the very beautiful property. The trees in mid-changing splendor, wind farms and road side farms and pumpkin stands were a BONUS!!

Such a cute stop! I am so glad we stopped here! Everything was so good especially the cider slushy! The flowers were beautiful! This is such a great spot for kids. There was so many activities for them including feeding ducks and a duck race and a lot of interactive learning. The little store was so cute to walk through and had a lot of great stuff to buy!

My wife made a review and tried to update it with photos and appeared to be blocked. So here you go Fly Creek. Another negative review. Pretty disappointed that this is not handicapped accessible. No elevator so mother in law had to struggle to get upstairs to visit the tasting room with us. Also, no tasting of fudge like their videos state you can do. Because of Covid. Yet you can buy wine tastings. Doesn’t make much sense. Their items in the shop are overpriced. Also there were inappropriate labels on the display of Rada knives. See photos. Saying knives to kill your mother in law and Jamaican husbands. Can’t make this stuff up. The cashiers and sales people in the store were Jamaican according to their name tags so I’m assuming they perhaps thought the sayings were funny. We didn’t think so.

The team met up at this location, everywhere you turn it’s a beautiful splash of green I try some Apple Cider donuts, also got some Apple pie to wait for Allie and mom such a peaceful scenery Definitely a great place for a team get together

Always a favorite stop! This is the first time visit with the new tasting room upstairs. It's a nice place to get a quick taste of the adult beverages they have to offer. Lots of things to do for the kiddos, and the snack bar outside has more to offer than just apple treats.

This is an insanely beautiful lake the water is actually like your in the carribean is a light blueish green that you can see down the the bottom it's easily the most beautiful lake I have ever Been to , I actually drank some of the water by accident when my son splashed me when we jumping off the boat and it tasted like bottled water. Really impressive place with beautiful restaurants all along the shores of the lake to dock your boat at along with little beaches as well. This is some where every one should go to atleast once.

beautiful clear water!! there is a beach on one end or you can rent a boat for the day. highly recommend checking out the sunken island on the northern end of the lake if you can get out there

Otsego Lake is a narrow, wonderful beauty of nature that stretches about 10 miles north from Cooperstown. At the northern end is Glimmerglass State Park, offering the usual recreational activities available at a lake, as well as some historic sites to see. At the southern end of the lake is a small park, Council Rock Park, that sits at the very beginning of the Susquehanna River. I found it intriguing to see the start of this river as I’m very familiar with many other parts of the it, including the other end as it stretches its way almost 500 miles into Maryland. Quite a difference in water quality between the start and end. Everything about this lake is such a beautiful sight to see. I didn’t want to leave after my short two days in Cooperstown.

One of, if not the most beautiful lakes and towns I have ever seen. We will be back for many years to come!

We saw "The Sound of Music" in July - our first time at the Glimmerglass Festival. The performance was outstanding, as were the staff and the grounds. Highly recommended!

Our second time for a Glimmerglass on the Grass performance and it was even more stunning and special. I hope a version of this format continues in some way even after we can enjoy the main Opera house in the future!

Their production of La Boheme was incredible! For the lower price point, I'll admit I was not expecting such a professional, and frankly, excellent show! Definitely returning next year.

We went to "The Sound Of Music". The show was fantastic, with amazing scenery changes and spectacular performances. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The grounds are attractive. A very enjoyable experience and a professionally run operation.

Great performing arts nestled in natural beauty! A world-class opera company with world premieres. The opera house looks like a giant dairy barn. Come as you are (shorts and T-shirts welcome). Food, drink, and gift shop on site. And there's even cell-phone service these days.

This was a most delightful experience! Francesca and her entire team gave us such a blessing to hear and watch a magnificent live performance of The Magic Flute! Thank you all!

Beautiful State Park. They do charge a $7 fee to enter the park but the visit was well worth the fee charge. They have picnic tables and grills as well as a man-made beach with a roped off swimming area and life guard on duty. There is a small concession building but it appeared their offerings were most snack items. There are also camp sites available for extended stays.

My review is mainly about the campground. Large private sites with shade and level pads, theres a large tent area for primitive camping. Facilities were clean and well maintained. Clean swim area (if you stay clear of the corner where the geese congregate). Lots of trails to explore. Hyde Hall is an interesting site though we we did not actually tour the building.

The park was fantastic; clean, amenities were good, lots of space. The downside is the shallowness of the water & “seaweed” that is taking over the whole area of the lake in front of the park. If you have a kayak, be aware that it’s all over there. Still worth it to go up the creek from the lake, to the covered bridge, though. We have peddle kayaks and had to paddle instead. Even the creek is too shallow for peddling, FYI. I’m guessing it isn’t that way throughout the entire lake.

This place is so beautiful with many activities available. You can go hiking, biking, kayaking bicycle riding, and so much more. You're also very close to Cooper Town and the baseball Hall of Fame. There is also a large boat launch to give you access to the nearby lake. This is where all the locals go to get away from it all, I was the only person that is from out of state. If you are handicapped, there's great access for the bathrooms. You have a private bathroom with a shower with a ramp. The campground is a ways off the main highways but worth it

I loved this place. Would recommend visiting on a Weekday, when you can enjoy privacy , while taking a walk or swim. This park have great playing area for kids. Also, it got camping site and even a wild bear ( or so they say).

Gorgeous state park on the north side of Lake Otsego and directly opposite Cooperstown, which is a 10 minute drive away. That drive, by the way, is something else in the middle of October. Incredible. But this state park has beautiful views all year round, not just in the fall. Reserve camp sites super early if that’s what you plan on doing.

Campground Review: beautiful campground with fairly private sites with each having a fire ring and grill. RV sites have electric only. Most sites have a nice mix of sun and shade. Bathroom and shower facilities are clean and well maintained. Campers have free access to the large beach on Otsego Lake, which is within walking distance. This is one of New York’s finest Public Campgrounds and is difficult to secure a reservation given small number of sites.

Great customer service! We arrived around 5 pm on September 16th and the young man at registration was so funny and friendly and welcoming. He checked us in and then suggested that we take a look at two other available spots that we might like better than the one we had reserved online. He was right! We just called the office and he made the switch official. Beautiful park with historic buildings, great trails, and wildlife. Great spot to camp when visiting the area.

This is a really nice park, and has the oldest covered bridge in the USA which was very cool to see! I wish there were a longer walking path around the lake. It's also in pretty rough shape beyond the beach - an uneven bumpy path. I was a bit surprised this is considered a state park because of how small it was.

Love coming here it is very relaxing and calm. The scenery is beautiful the walkways are clean the lake is beautiful as well. The playground is fun for the kids there are two playgrounds on each side. The beach has a sandbar and it goes out very far so you could stand on it or have the kids play and not worry. Looking forward to coming back here

Great stake park with little trails hidden throughout. The beach was closed but the beaver pond trail and covered bridge trails were an awesome chance to see some wildlife and flowers.

Great park for the whole family. The beach is small but nice and very clean, water is not really. There is also a little food store and nice bathrooms and of course few playgroundsJoin their Facebook for updates regarding the beach and other things they do.

Perfect place! We enjoyed our time here. Kids got into lake, skipped rocks, played wiffle ball, and we had a picnic too! Restrooms are EXTREMELY Clean.

Great park with modern amenities. Tons of campsites, with or without electricity. The beach isn't great, but beautiful location at the north end of Lake Otsego. Easy drive from downtown Cooperstown. Staff is wonderful and always present. This 4th of July was super crowded but the staff made the event manageable and organized. The beach was clean by early am the following morning. Showers and bathroom facilities are pretty modern. Easy bike ride or walk from campground to beach area. Would definitely stay here again. (To be accurate, my photos are from the south end of the lake near the Otesaga Hotel. Didn't take photos at campsite.)

This is one of the most beautiful locations in Cooperstown. If you get a chance to do a tour, I highly recommend going. The architecture is amazing, there's a spiral stair case inside that is something I've never seen before. The rooms that are finished are decorated with such intention, the paintings and furniture transport you back in time. I had the privilege to be a part of a music video shoot at this location. Our contact, John, was incredibly kind and gave us a tour, he also lent his time to be there during our video shoot, even making a cameo.

Beautiful home that is being lovingly restored. You can pay for a tour of the home(worth every penny as the guide was extremely knowledgeable about the house and the family) or you can walk the grounds for free. A wonderful spot to relax, picnic and enjoy the views of Otsego Lake.

Seasonal, so closed. We will return. Beautiful outside, fantastic views.

As a historian I never tire of visiting this historic piece of architecture.

House is grand and the view outstanding, but the tour let us down. Charming and knowledgeable guide, but the focus was on threats to life in the 19th century, hardly anything about the history of the house, family, or community. There was no indication that would be the thrust of the tour or we would have picked a different time.

I went for their Halloween-themed Hyde and Shriek event, which was a very well done ghost tour, but I would recommend visiting the site just to see the lovely, two century old mansion at any time.

This place is idyllic. The views are amazing and the home looks beautiful from the outside. They do have a tour on the hour, and it's $15 per person, but you can walk the grounds for free. Nice detour. Note road to hall is not paved. It is a gravel road for about 1/2 a mile. I think it was worth the stop.

Don't miss what is considered the finest examples of the neoclassical country house in the US. Our guide, Larry, gave an excellent tour. Guided tours only; lovey drive through Glimmerglass State Park with free parking. Cute gift shop. The view from the 3rd floor balcony is spectacular!

Tour guide was very thorough but did not want to leave script for questions. Such a treasure is the mansion. Really appreciate what the team is doing with restoration!

The place is beautiful. Our guide Randy is very knowledgeable. Unfortunately we didn’t get to see more due to COVID. The house is constantly be renovated. So I can’t wait to go back to see the changes.

Wax museum gift shop next door, I'd leave zero Stars if I could because if they promise you a discount they still charge you full price for the item and then when you bring it back to them the next day and bring it up to them they tell you that they don't remember and can't do anything about it don't do business with this store they'll screw you

I was there back in August of 1998.

A very worthwhile thing to see. Wax figures brought the players back to life. Also has a DVD playing baseball bloopers. Everything was enjoyable.

I really enjoyed the Wax figures and reading the stories about them. Learned some things I never knew so that's always a plus. Really cool and funny quotes throughout the museum from players and coaches. Only bad thing I will say is there we're many of missed opportunities of not giving stories for some players so hopefully they will work on that and install those soon

All the years I’ve lived and worked near Cooperstown, I’ve never been here. It’s a great place and kid/stroller friendly. It’s a self guided tour and explains each figure and their history. The manager is sweet and the whole place is clean and well kept. Wax figures are cool wherever you go but these seem more life like. Great experience.

Fantastic place, very unique and an awesome experience. Owner was fantastic and helped us find a place to stay and gave us awesome Resturaunt suggestions.

3 major league problems no parking must pay. Never got ask about veteran discount for father.no wheelchairs for elderly as they have no idea the amount of walking involved. Other than that great place with lots of baseball artifacts to see.

What a great place for family or friends fun. The mini golf courses are fun and have interesting obstacles... there's even one with a water feature! Afterwards treat yourself to a milkshake or ice cream and browse the gift shop. The staff was friendly and helpful.. we had a great time.

This is a fun mini golf course. Plus if you get a hole in one on the 18th hole you win a free twist. They have a small gift shop, beer, and ice cream available so it makes it a neat spot.

Great experience with my niece and nephew. We loved the mini golf. The laser tag was fun too. The staff was very accommodating even though we didn't have enough players for the laser tag.

Fun place. Great course. Good selection of food inside. Loved the additional activities like ceramic painting and the gold digging. We all Had fun kids ages 2-8-11. They even had a mini plastic club for my 2 year old.

This is a fun little course for both kids and adults. Once you're done, you can grab ice cream or a beer and kick back for a bit.

I had my 6 year old daughter's birthday party here, and it went perfectly! I was so happy with how everything went. A tent was set-up for us, and even a helper person to help guide the kids through all the fun activities offered for the party. I am beyond happy with how it all went!

If you have kids, don’t bring them here! We came today in a group, 7 kids and 5 adults. The kids got ahead of us so we did not see what this employee did. At hole 18th, you are supposed to hit the ball hard so it goes under an iron grate and bounces up into a bucket. One ball bounced against the iron grate and it moved, so the kids went inside the store to advise the employee. She stormed outside, took all the balls and clubs from the kids, and put a lock on the grate to secure it in its place (maybe that lock should have been there to start with!). We saw the kids just sitting on chairs waiting for us, without know what had just happened. Minutes later this employee told them that they can’t stay there and they had to go inside. So they went inside and decided to buy ice cream. They asked for a sample of the ice creams right where it says they give samples. 1 kid asked for a second sample, when this lady just told them to get out and sit in the front porch. A kid asked her to let them get his parents, and she would not let them get up or leave! She came to us and told us that the kids were “harassing” her staff. Unbelievable. Very poor customer service from the older employee. They have not patience or understanding. Horrible experience. Do not come here!

Took my daughter to attend a birthday party. The kids really enjoyed the mini-golf and build an animal corner. There is also a small area with about 6 arcade games.

Fantastic afternoon playing mini golf. Finding fossils and gems. Finished up with some delicious ice cream. Everything was spotless. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Can't wait to come back.

Cozy and welcoming space not too far from Main Street, Cooperstown. They offer complimentary tastings of their extensive line of spirits, and everything is really great. The staff is incredibly friendly. Definitely worth the visit if you're in town.

Great operation making excellent quality spirits. I tried everything they had, and purchased the select bourbon, which is smooth and flavorful. One of the best bourbons I've ever had. Also purchased the cinnamon whiskey as a gift, not something I would drink regularly but it is much nicer than the other well known brand, less sugary and cloying. Also purchased this nifty baseball decanter, because it is Cooperstown. Vodka and gin drinkers will find worthy choices here too.

Me and my family had an amazing experience at this Distillery, quality spirits, and an amazing staff. They gave me a tour of the still and the production process. I'm giving this location a one star review because of the owner. Gene. Multiple good staff have left over the years, and he has milked the process and the experience. Me and my family were rudely dismissed from this location in the middle of the tour because Gene thought that we were taking up too much time. This guy is a joke, unfortunately he is ruining what is the Cooperstown experience. If Gene is not working that day, I recommend going to this location and having a amazing tine with dedicated staff and quality spirits.

Nicely laid out and attractive place. Excellent spirits across the board from white spirits Vodka, Fenimore Gin, ( New World Style Gin) to their various whiskies. A field to glass distillery, they use a small ( 150 gallon ? ) Carl Copper pot still with a column and local grains to produce their spirits.

A MUST visit when in Cooperstown and literally 1 block from the Hall of fame! We have been coming here EVERY year since they opened. Their local beers and spirits are all tasty and make sure you grab a baseball decant to take home. It will look AWESOME on your bar!

My rating is for the Baseball Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. Reserved seating with designated port-a-potties will require a ticket. Cold water is freely distributed here.. If you leave the area, you are instructed to take your ticket with you to re-enter the reserved seats. General admission areas are free with another set of port-a-potties. The grounds are expertly set up for this major event. Concessions are a fundraiser for the high school senior class trip.

Great place for the whole family especially if you love sports. Any sport you can think of is there. The variety is great and everyone is super friendly whether you're a beginner or experienced. Great atmosphere (apart from the overwhelming smell of chlorine). It's easy to find yourself in an office area due to the size of the building and lack of maps or directional signs. Staff are for the most part super friendly but some will stare at you and give off a bad vibe.

We have been members if the clark gym for about 7 yrs now and we love it.. always clean and not very crowded at the time we go...

I just moved to this area. I am used to physical therapists who actually want to help you and who care if you are progressing. That is NOT the experience I had here. If you are disabled and need help to get into the facility they are “not allowed” to help you. The receptionist is extremely rude and refuses to cover her nose with her mask. All in all, for me, it was not a good experience. I will be looking for physical therapy elsewhere.

Wow! I've never been here before! Rock climbing wall, bowling, swimming, exercise equipment, hand ball, squash. What an amazing place

This is where the annual Baseball Hall of Famers' Ceremony is conducted. It's a large gathering of various hordes of team fans depending on who is being inducted and their popularity. Always fun to watch the parade the Saturday morning prior to the event. Most of the Inducted Hall of Famers participate if their able. My favorite is the speeches of acceptance, always heartfelt. It should be experienced by sports fans baseball or otherwise.

Extremely rude staff at the swimming pool. They harass you when you are in the change room by knocking loud on the door saying "get out" , "the pool is closed'. The pool closes at 12 on Sundays and they expect you to be in the parking lot at 12???!! Also several of the lifeguards (on Saturday shift) are extremely rude. They allow children to toss a foot ball around the pool. It hit me and my daughter several times and it's a huge safety hazard. New York Department of Health should really audit these guys and get them some training sessions on public safety and better attitude towards their clients!

Great spot for the HOF induction. Ample parking and bathrooms.

My child was told he could not swim in the 12 foot pool on a field trip because he was making the female lifeguard “nervous”. He’s been swimming just fine in a pool for the last 8 years. Unacceptable and rude lifeguard. She verbally reprimanded him for his “inability” to swim.

Gym is good & all the facility's are perfect staff is so friendly

Clark’s is a great place to bring the kids. A lot of camps and activities to join. Should replace there indoor squash and racquetball with tennis courts and pickleball though.

We were looking for something fun to do on a rainy day. There are big signs out front boasting "arcade!" When we got inside there were maybe 10 outdated arcade games, most of them racing games. 3 of them were out of order and the pool table was out of order as well. They didn't give tickets or have a ticket card, so no prizes (which is fine, just wish we had realized). That's the only indoor activity we saw, there may have been more but we weren't greeted or acknowledged by anyone and couldn't find an associate, so I don't know if there was more to do. We were disappointed.

Great for teams or small groups. Indoor and outdoor seating and grass areas for kids to let loose. Food and drinks are fast, quality and quanity. All around great spot while in cooperstown.

This place was great. The food was great kids were entertained for hours and they were able to accommodate a huge group with ease.

Nice little place to ride go karts bumper boats or just use the batting cage.

We visited the Baseball Hall of Fame and was in need of some child-friendly entertainment. My grandson was excited to visit Rookies Craft House. Crickets. . .The place is all but shut down. Overgrown grass and absolutely no useful kid's activities except a few old arcade games. The bar and restaurant were open but vacant with nobody at the tables (3:30 pm). We exited and drove back toward Cooperstown. A waste of time. The website gave no indication that the place is kaput. Avoid if you're in this area.

Might as well stayed home.... Had to clean my own table, order my own food at the bar and pick up my food from the kitchen. And the bartender kept telling me I better tip good. Terrible place!!!!

Looks nice on the outside, that is the only positive. Slow go-karts and only 5 laps. Very boring mini-golf course. Lazer Tag does not work, made my kids real mad. Food was cold, how can fried chicken tenders coming out of a fryer be cooked but still freezing cold and soggy? My guess is they cooked them earlier and put them in the microwave. Meals come with generic plain chips. $11 and you don't even get fries! They charge $1 for refills of soda! Can't even get a small cup of ice when it's 90 out. The owner clearly cares very little for customers. Next time we go to Cooperstown we will not be visiting there again. Waste of money!

It is really fun! The go karts and a bit bumpy and hurts your hands as you drive, but very fun! The bumper boats are so much fun and it is just hard to control. The Laser tag is fun, but the area is not that big. overall, it's super fun! definitely would recommend for ages 7- 12.

Service is warm and friendly. Surroundings are beautiful. Wine selection is limited and all the wines are objectively very sweet, even the “dry” ones. The tasting is affordable at $6 for 6 wines, but the last few wines we’re unbearably sweet (and this is coming from someone who doesn’t like super dry wines either).

Very scenic vineyard. A lot of space and great for small groups. There was a small band playing when my group came, which was really cool. The owner was very sweet and everyone was friendly.

We visited Pail Shop at the end of Sept from Queens. The weather wasn't great otherwise I would have loved to sit on their adorable grounds. But the wine, red sangria that we home with, the lady who helped us was all so amazing!! We can't wait to go back!!

This is a small wine shop with a beautiful landscape! The wines were wonderful, and the balsamic vinegar is the best I have ever had! Super thick and delicious!

My husband and I stopped here on our way through Cooperstown. The views from the vineyard were amazing. The place is really nice and they also offer outdoor seating. We did a tasting for $6 per person. I really liked their white wines. Also, the woman working there was very nice and friendly. I plan on bringing my friends there because I had such a great time.

We made our way 3 hours to Cooperstown to spend the weekend, visit the local sites, and spent the night locally. It's our 2nd time coming and visiting, and on the list was the Ommegang Brewery that we (and I) very much looked forward to since we enjoyed it last time. The place was fairly busy, with almost all the tables full, so the 10 of us grabbed beer's from the bar, went into the overflow room to hang out and enjoy our drinks. At this time of year, the brewery has somewhat tight hours (12-5) on a Saturday. We arrived at 3:10 so we could be sure to enjoy the beers, as well as the food from the kitchen since it was something we all loved last time. As we walked up to the front door, there was a paper sign on the door stating the kitchen was closing at 3. Cooperstown is somewhat isolated with many places closed in the winter, so planning out the food plans in advance is a good idea. Our plan was to chow down at the brewery while enjoying the beer, but much to our disappointment, we were denied. We made sure to check the social media prior to visiting for any thing going on or any postings (Facebook, and their website), but no update or any special instructions there about the plans to close food early. So, word to the wise, if you plan on eating or visiting there from far away, make sure you call ahead and see if they plan to be open as its posted. The beer and facilities are\were pretty nice , so if they are open, it should be great.

Beautiful brewery; you know you’re somewhere special. The ambience inside was nice and the beer itself was amazing. The caramel apple cider was good enough to get a 4 pack to take home. Got some appetizers which were good. Poutine was unique and brussels sprouts were tasty. The sandwich and burger had good flavor, but the corn salad I got was a little lacking. Just dry leaves with some mush in the middle. My biggest knock was the time it took to get everything. We were told they always fill up within 15 minutes of opening so you would think they would be prepared to accommodate. Took about 30 minutes to be seated and didn’t see our first app for over an hour. Still need to stop if you’re in the area for sure.

One of the best brewery experiences I have had in a long time. So many high quality beers on tap to go along with the great food. The setting is amazing and can really be enjoyed in warm weather. Food was decent ordered Chicken and Waffles . Caramel Apple cider was tasty. Frozen Spritzers lacked flavor. Our waitress was friendly.

We saw BLEACHERS here and it was a lot of fun. Plenty of parking. Plenty of space and easy to see stage. The food truck options were really good and we tried a few of the beers and were very happy with Neon Rainbow and the Cider especially!

After taking a 3 hour train ride followed by a 1.5 hour drive through winding roads and the beautiful scenery of NYS. You will come across this gem of a place. I love visiting Breweries in general, and for the most part they are pretty standard all around. It’s been years since I’ve been to one. I’ll tell you this was worth the trip. Upon arrival, was greeted at the shop by the most wonderful human by the name of Paige. We asked about the beer tasting. She kindly informed us the next one would be available in 30 mins. So we took a walk around the shop, while enjoying some fresh views outside. There is nothing more refreshing than having a genuinely knowledgeable person about their craft, but with added humor and personality to go on top of it all. Paige was fantastic, she steers you across 4 carefully picked craft beers, based on your own taste preferences. Paige is super mindful to any allergies you may have. Mine is to peanuts, so unfortunately couldn’t try out the spooky season beer. It was chocolate & peanut butter!! I’m sure it’s delish! All and all, this was by far my most fave brewery experience ever. You also get a souvenir glass to take home with you. Definitely stay for the some food afterwards. The poutine was great, plus the chicken & waffles was perfect way to end it with. Thank you again Paige for being amazing and thank you to the rest of the staff for having such great energy!!

Stopped in for Sunday Brunch Bingo. Absolutely fun! This is a must stop from now on. Tom was amazing! Carie was definitely the hostess with the mostest. Thank you for such a great day! Also, the food was delicious and the brews were perfect!

5 stars all around! This was our most favorite and best stop on our road trip in the northeastern US area. This also ranks at the top of our most favorite breweries to date. This place was bigger than expected, clean, and well decorated. The food was delicious and the beers were phenomenal (as expected). Coming from California and only trying their bottled beers that make it out there, having their different varieties not available to us was priceless. For food, we had the crispy Brussel sprouts which were crispy on the outside and warm and softer on the inside. Ate the fried chicken sandwich which was wonderful and the crispy tofu on the side which was unexpectedly perfectly cooked, even my kid liked it! Also had the pesto Mac n cheese which I loved as well with the chicken salad on the side. This place was worth coming across the country for and driving through narrow roads to get here.

Edit 2: Returned for the 3rd time and no regrets to be had. Joined the Sunday Brunch Bingo that they host. It was a ton of fun with a good helping of delicious food. Those Juggernaut Tots were quite hefty. The pretzel sticks, always a fan favorite. Will definitely be back for another Sunday. Edit 1: finally came back close to a year later, and enjoyed the food. My partner and I came during the re-opening of NY and sat outdoors. Service was good, and they were quick to wipe down tables. We ordered some starters, a flight, and some other food. I do lament that I wish I got the pulled BBQ pork sandwich. Hopefully we will be able to come back soon! And no reservations! Came here a few months ago, and I fell in love with Ommegang. I know Ommegang is known for their beer, but it is the picturesque place to come for a quick and good tour and amazing views. My date and I did the tasting tour and loved the people who described each drink and were very honest about the flavors. Our tour guide for the brewery was very funny. It was very tempting not to buy everything in the gift shop because I wanted to take home every bottle of double barrel and GoT cans for gifts and personal libations. My only regret is we did not have enough time to dine here. The food smelled and looked amazing. Will know to come here with a good amount of time as I overheard wait times were up to an hour and a half. Will need to come back soon in the spring to see things under a new season. There was also a wedding being set up, which made me file that in the back of my head for the future.

Gorgeous natural venue to see concerts! Bring a folding chair or blanket and enjoy from the hillside or head to the stage for standing room only. So many food trucks and of course delicious Ommegang brews. The show is even capped of with fireworks!

Stopped here as we heard if you were a craft beer lover it was a must see. The place is situated on a nice piece of land and setup for large events. We sat out back where there is a bar and covered seating and a large yard where kids can run around our play some Cornhole and wiffle ball. They had a good selection of beers and other drinks. Service was good but got a little slow as the place filled up. Highly recommended checking it out.

It’s nice brewery having delicious beer with good food. Loved the big back yard. I’ll come back for live music on Friday. The staff were very kind. Oh, their tap water is different. I mean very good. 😉

Come for the beer, stay for the food. Ommegang makes some of the best beer you’ll have. For those beer curious people, make sure to get a flight and try as many as you can. Although this is a brewery, the food is also very good. Had the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and it was very good. We sat outside and enjoyed the bonfire and live music. If your in the area or going to Cooperstown, this is a must visit.

Great place for lunch! The food was very good, the service was excellent and friendly and the beer was amazing. The atmosphere was very inviting and pleasant and the bar was clean and comfortable. Would recommend stopping by. If you are new to breweries get a flight! Try it all. Very satisfying!

First time visiting Ommegang Brewery and loved it! We did a tasting with Paige and it was fun, informative, and delicious! We then ate at the taproom and enjoyed a delicious meal, had an Oktommegang beer and outstanding service by Caitlin! Highly recommended visiting - we will be back!
