I heard from someone working at the front royal visitor's center that Luray caverns was the best in the area. It was a good 45 minute drive but it definitely did not disappoint! It was beautiful!! We went on a Monday evening and it was empty. They took our photos at the entrance and ended up being really cute souvenirs. The caverns themselves were really big. We took our time and read through all 19 stops on the tour (they had self guided tours with a brochure) I liked that we were able to go at our own pace and be able to take photos/ videos without other people photo bombing. There were pretty little lakes and huge formations. Great trip!

A must see! Superbly arranged, roomy for those who may suffer from claustrophobia. Nearly all paths are brick layer and the path is very easy going. There is no climbing or such. Tour is self guided and takes about an hour. Plenty of parking. There is a very nice antique car collection, which is included on the $30.00 entry fee. Highly recommended!

It's no doubt a neat trip for visiting a cave but the company is letting it slide. In the past ten years, the price has gone up and the tours are no longer guided. We visited today and it was a near free-for-all in the cave. A lot of people were touching the rock formations and leaving trash in the cavern. At this rate, considering how delicate the caves are, I wouldn't be surprised if it were eventually closed off to the public.

The off season is the best time to visit. Absolutely no lines, many times we were the only ones in an area. The staff was knowledgeable and very friendly. Off season lol. The caves are incredible and stunning. The fun thing is they actually have a pretty cool car selection which we all enjoyed. Do yourself a favor and check it out.

Absolutely gorgeous and worth the trip from Baltimore (and the ticket price). We got permission to go backward through the caverns and it was nice because it made it less crowded. I do imagine that they’ll not allow it anymore, though, because I could tell a few of them were slightly annoyed by it. Don’t ask about it and definitely don’t reference this post.

The most beautiful and largest cave in the East coast you must see! It would take about an hour to walk through the cave but we really enjoyed every moment of it! Although it was crowded, it’s still plenty rooms and opportunities for you to taking pictures! Great place!

Great way to easily experience the caverns! The self-guided tour is great, it allows you to stop and enjoy the quiet and beauty of each area. There are useful details about the formations in a guide pamphlet which is super helpful to understand everything. Added on the maze to the experience, it was so fun and worth the extra price. The whole experience was a lot of fun for all ages.

Visited on a Thursday afternoon and it was decently crowded. My family of 3 was able to walk through the caverns in about an hour and it was spectacular. It is self-guided but you can pay for a guided tour. You are given a pamphlet with information as you walk through the caverns. Although it is definitely a tourist-y spot, I highly recommend checking this incredible place out as it is one of the great wonders of the east coast!

I have visited caves all around the world- Japan, Europe, Korea etc. This was by FAR the most breathtaking experience. The caverns were other-worldly. You MUST visit if you are close by! If you have kids, the caverns are pretty stroller (small stroller) friendly. Also, the crowds here aren’t bad at all, you have plenty of space to enjoy the trail.

We enjoyed this very much. We stayed up at big meadows campground during a very misty week so this was a nice break. The path is all one level, no steps. The only improvement I would like is the ability to get the headphones again or a guided tour. The pamphlet was helpful but we like to interact with tour guides make sure you check for discounts

It was an amazing experience. It was my first time in a cavern, so it was incredible to me. The mirror caves were absolutely beautiful. It was a rainy day, so we got to see the water filtering inside the cave. The guides were very helpful. We got to hear the organ in the cathedral.

Having heard that these were the best caverns to visit in Virginia, I was eager to see them. On arrival the place was really busy, but we had not trouble parking in the parking lot. Entry was reasonably priced and after walking through the gift shop we headed to the caverns. Before you enter you have to have your photo taken so they can try and sell it to you on your way out. The caves are amazing to look at, and there are plenty of opportunities to take photos. The caverns are well lit but I do feel that missed a trick by not using coloured lighting. My only gripe would be the crowds. Lots of people just stopping and not letting people past. This caused a back log many times. About halfway round there are only so many rock formations you can look at before they all start to look alike. The route took about 1hr. Once out you walk back through the gift shop. There are other attractions available included in the price, but we were too hot and tired to experience them.

Really cool caverns with beautiful stalactites and stalagmites formations. There was also a very small underground lake that reflected the stalactites like a mirror. The temperature is cool (light jacket should be fine), can be slightly drippy if raining outside. Takes about 1 hr average to stroll leisurely and enjoy the view. The restroom is only available at the main building so make sure you empty your bladder before heading into the cavern. There are also other attractions in the complex such as the toy station, museum, etc. Parking was relatively easy, also free. All in all, certainly worth the ticket price.

Stunning- Nature’s magic at play. Great for families, kids or even a romantic get away. Lots to do other than just the Caverns. Plan ahead if you want to explore more than just the caverns and do other things like the Garden Maze , shopping etc. Definately bring your camera. The caves have a beautiful ‘Mirror lake’. Magical!!!

Went at the end of our spring break and it was really fun! It’s about 60-90 min to walk all the way through, depending on how long you stop for photos or listen to the organ. Many amazing sights and some parts of the caves are 7 million years old! Very interesting history and would recommend grabbing info pamphlet before you go through so you can follow along what each item is (they’re numbered). Tickets also include free admission to the toy museum and train/car museum next door. Really neat to see more historic items.

This place was really great. I checked previous pictures and had thought I would find something a bit different, for example: the wishing well; I thought it was bigger than what actually is (small) also, thought there was more water in it, but nope. I still enjoyed the place and had a great time. I went on Sunday and it was full of people, making it hard to take some pics but not a big deal either. No steps inside, it took a bit more than 1hr but did not feel it, I didn’t get tired either. I was ready to use a sweater inside but no need in my case. Restrooms are 8/10. Whenever you enter or exit you have to go through the shop they have, I didn’t like it because it was crowded inside the shop. Staff was friendly. Entry was 32USD per person.

Beautiful. Pictures can not do it justice. My girlfriend and I made a detour on our trip home from PA to NC to see this place. We were amazed. I have hundreds of pictures/videos and they all look amazing. Put it on your bucket list. Must see.

We had the best time here. I took my father and my grandson (who is 4) and my dad loved the ramp that was added from the last time he was here many years ago and my grandson practically skipped the entire time being in awe of everything to see. We lucked out and didn't realize the anniversary of the caverns being discovered was the same weekend we chose to go and they had lit hundreds of candles which only added to the ambiance. It was also nice and cool given the 90+ it was outside.

Amazing experience, very beautiful cave and rock formations. The tours are self guided. However when your walking through, their will be families stopping and taking pictures, which holds up others that want to go bye. My experience there was an allot of kids running around, which annoyed others. But didn’t annoy me. I had a great time. Would definitely go back.

the caverns were amazing to see, easy to walk, we were there when they first opened mid weekday in winter and it was not crowded. It took about an hour and half total with a leisurely stroll. Kids really enjoyed seeing the different formations. There is a very large parking lot and was mostly empty when we went. By the time we got done the lot was about1/4 full.

Absolutely beautiful!! We really enjoyed the self guided tour. It's definitely worth the trip!! We visited from Michigan over New Years weekend. It wasn't terribly busy. We spent a few hours there between the caves, village, and museums. The ticket price is worth it for sure. You get to see and learn a lot. Our only issue was with people themselves. For some reason, people just can't seem to listen and follow rules, especially in the caves. It was sad to see so many people being disrespectful and touching the formations :(

I was here in 2019 and now in 2024. I'm very excited. This is the best place. It’s safe to walk here and not be afraid that you will slip and fall, like in another cave that we were not far from this one. There is a very large cave here and there is something to see all the time. I regretted that we went to another cave because this cave is the best, the most beautiful, the most. I really liked it, thank you to the people who work there for your work. It's so good here that you don't want to leave. Photos can't convey how beautiful it is there.

Cool place to walk around if you enjoy caves. Did have an experience with one of the workers as we walked up on a private tour and we weren’t aware of it and just stood there being polite letting him finish talking only for him to rudely say anyone not part of the tour move along. I just think there was a better way to say it as we had no clue that’s what it was.

Decided to head out to the caverns with the family. We have been to several caverns all over the world and this one was really good. The tour was good, the path was wheelchair friendly, the formations were amazing. The cavern organ performances were a bit of a let down. The car museum was okay but it was included in the price of the ticket. The biggest shock was the price at $34 a person. This is quite expensive. The cavern tour took us about 2 hours. There was plenty of parking.

What an experience! This place is truly out of this world. The tickets included the Luray Caverns Self-Guided Tour, the Car & Carriage Caravan Museum, Shenandoah Heritage Village, and Toy Town Junction. There's also garden maze, rope adventure park and gem sluice for additional price. I wish we had more time to explore, so we hope to be back soon.

It's a very nice vacation destination to see the beauty of another side of the world. Luray caverns is very good experience, and nice to see the under earth beauty. The mirror image beauty is awesome. Nice maintenance inside caverns. Enjoyed the trip and Skyline drive as well.

It was my revisit after 28 years. Back then it was not as nice as now. Cavern was renovated during 2017 ~ 2019 and it looks much nicer and corridor was nicely renovated. My kids loved the cavern and it is must visit place when you have kids. It takes little less than 1 and half hours to complete the tour and loved it. Ticket price is $34 for adult and $17 for kids(6-12), Free for under age 6

Small car museum but lots crammed into it all. Amazing cars, it had some of the rarest and important vehicles in vehicle history. Some of Roosevelt’s vehicles. There were several cars worth a few million dollars each. Amazing collection.

Unexpected little gem of old vehicles museum included in Luray Caves ticket. Small space filled with cars - likely would be better in larger space allowing to examine cars from multiple directions. Still, great selection in fantastic condition.

I loved the experience inside the place. The cars are arranged chronologically. There is a float and even an RR. The cars are in excellent condition. It is worth visiting and seeing each of the cars in detail.The place is small but has what you need. They even have mannequins dressed in period clothing. They have a wide variety of cars.

You will love this place if you are a vintage car fan. It has a great collection of cars from the early 1900s. You may not see some of the cars anywhere in the world. You will get free access to it if you buy the ticket for the Luray Caverns.

This is such a cool historic car museum! I'm not at all a car guy but really enjoyed looking at all of these older cars! Lots of cool designs and crazy to see how we have advanced over the years.

An amazing collection of vintage cars maintained in pristine condition. They have one of the oldest commercially produced Mercedes Benz, lots of carriages, Ford, Chevy etc… They have a couple of cars brands that I never heard of. This place is a car enthusiast’s dream. The only drawback is that some of the lights are not well positioned and the place is super crammed.

This is a nice little museum. It’s included with cost of admission to the caverns on the same property. It’s probably a little bit too small as a stand alone attraction, but it’s worth the time to pass through and look around at these old rides while you’re there. One unique thing I liked was the old shop stuff, like the tire vulcanizer, the coil tester, and vintage gas pump. It would be cool if there were more and/or a tour guide(perhaps recorded on a device so you could listen with ear buds). The old kid stuff was interesting. They have a souvenir/gift shop here too.

Loved strolling through the museum. The pass to the Caverns covers entry to the museum and a few other nearby attractions. Lots of vintage automobiles on display. Well maintained.

Approximately 30 very old cars from the first few decades of automobile mass production. Some big name manufacturers you would recognize, and others you won't. Very good condition vehicles and useful information posted.

This Museum is for Car lovers only!!! A very good collection of old, vintage and amazing cars of reputed brands showcased at this place. Ford, Rolls Royce, Chervolet, Buik, Stanley, Baker brand cars from the 18th and 19th centuries displayed in the museum. It's a very rare collection of cars. Don't worry about the ticket as it's included in the Luray Caverns Ticket. You can spend half an hour in the museum.

A big collection of vintage cars to attract the car lovers. All the 1900 century cars and how the technology advanced from there to now-a-days are well presented in the packed museum. Bonus is free admission with the Luray cavern ticket and you don’t have to pay additional fees.

The Luray Valley Car and Carriage Museum is an absolute gem 💎, I would call it a car lovers paradise. While the museum is only small, it does make up with some very special exhibits that I have not seen before. The cars are in great condition and well looked after. If you are visiting the Luray Caverns and not taking the time to visit the car museum, you are letting the best in life go by.

The most iconic scenic overlook in Shenandoah national park! Everyone has to come and see it when visiting the national park. Spectacular views bring your camera. Cone with your dogs off the left hand side there's some small roads if you're down to bushwack a bit and find some more secluded spots :) it's beautiful for a picnic also 😊

Worth it, Stoney Man overlook offers a vast tall view from Skyline Drive. Take a moment on your journey through Shenandoah to sight see.

I never had a chance to get a good sunset everytime I visit but today was so perfect. My family never visited here before neither so we set some very nice memories for their first time. Always an amazing escape away from the city here in VA. Make a plan to see the sunset here on a beautiful day!

Flat out iconic in every way. 1 star off for the exorbitant price of $30 even in winter.

It’s a beautiful spot if you want to watch the sunset in Shenandoah. Soon after the over look there is a small trek which would be perfect for people who want a quick trek and an amazing view !

Beautiful place to hike. The hike can be rather challenging of you go on the loop. If you go clockwise, you will have steep hike at the beginning which can be tough if you don't take your time. The path is wide with no significant obstacles so you can be tempted to hike faster that can be breath taking. However, of you go counter clockwise, it's going to be just fun with some really nice views at the summit at the end of the hike.

This place has the best sunsets and night sky

This view is memorable due to Stony Man being somewhat of an icon in Shenandoah National Park. This overlook offers, some real breathtaking views with popping colors. In a few weeks, it’s going to be amazing…

Definitely recommend stopping for this hike! Hike was approx 1.4 miles out Definitely an easier trail!!!! The view is worth the hike!

Perfect Spot for Sunset. Beautiful location and if you want, you can go for 2 miles round trip hike for the spectacular views

My first visit and it was breathtaking. Makes for a great afternoon drive and beautiful sunset views.

I came here to watch sunset. The view is wide open and you get to see plain area down the mountain. Far far away a storm was going on so the sun was mostly blocked by the dark clouds. You can see lightening struck thru the dark clouds once for a while. I would prefer watching sunset down the mountains than plains. But when night falls, lights lit up down the mountain, it can be a different scenery. Yet from here you have a perfect view of the old Stony Man lying on a side. Next time if I come, I will try to watch stars here.

The stony man overlook was absolutely breathtaking! There is plenty of room for those who want to pull in and park. Highly recommend!

Came here Friday and stayed about an hour. It’s a small zoo but me and my group had a great time. It wasn’t very busy at all and it was nice that way. Lots of animals to see. Monkeys seem to be the most common animal here minus the reptiles. Had a great time and strongly recommend to go here if you’re in the area, especially if you love animals!

A wonderful book, that shouldn't be judged by it's cover... I was surprised by the amount of animals and varieties there. I went on a Sunday afternoon and was surprised to have the zoo pretty much to myself.... Go spend time with the animals, it was so much fun, and not overly commercialized or crowded. Lots of snakes in their exhibit, and monkeys, too!

A small zoo, adults are 12 dollars to get in, but completely worth the money. The animals were very interactive with us especially the monkeys. Petting zoo was nice too. Food available for purchase to feed them. Unique animals.

Cute little zoo. All the animals had comfortable looking exhibits except the alligator turtle. That guy needs an upgrade. Tons of goats and sheep to feed in the petting zoo. Most of the animals have their personal stories posted on signs by their exhibits too, which is a nice touch.

Enough venomous snakes to give you nightmares. They are extremely active! The alligator turtle is a monster and such a cool thing to see - I've never even heard of them before. The goats, sheep, and emus love getting fed. Container of feed $3.00/ea. Cute gift shop. My kids favorite day trip in Luray!

VISITED SATURDAY AFTERNOON, NOVEMBER 25, 2023 This was a lovely way to pass the time when in between things to do. BEWARE: If you have a phobia around snakes it's the first area you encounter after walking in to pay and gift shop. Tanks, upon tanks with variations of snakes from the species in the area, across the U.S. and internationally. They are fascinating to see but I wouldn't want to be in the same tank with them. They were pretty dormant because cold? After you head to the outdoors. Not all of the habitats are occupied. Not sure if it's bc of the cold weather or it's all they have as rescues at the moment. I don't want to spoil what they have but my pics will show. Mark, the proprietor, was extremely informative. Overall: Lovely way to pass the time.

So first I'm not the biggest fan of zoos I do not like seeing Earth's creatures in captivity- with that I also understand the need for rescue and rehabilitation facilities! Good ones do great work in caring for their wards and if they are big enough or have the resources they rehab the animals to get them ready for the wild if possible. Luray Rescue zoo is a small rescue facility- they have quite a few former pets and care for them. I wish we were able to see the story for all the animals or staff member that could tell you about each of them. They have a reptile section which I thought was quite impressive AND they have signs and tell people not to tap on the glass or agitated the snakes because they can break their jaws on the glass from trying to strike. ***If you can I encourage to visit since ticket sells help a lot and donate extra if you can!*** **There is a petting zoo portion where you can feed the goats.

Mostly enjoyed our visit, but some of the reptile habitats concerned me. Most of the snake tanks didn't have any hiding spots, many had little to no enrichment. Some of the reptile habitats literally just had carpet. Reptiles need more than this in their habitats. We really enjoyed interacting with Bella the Macaque and the vervet monkeys. And there was a baby African porcupine!

Beautiful rescue zoo, I enjoyed walking through and reading about the different animals. I made sure to purchase a magnet on my way out, but I'm sure I'll come back to visit and maybe feed some more happy goats.

This is a great little rescue zoo. Some of the animals have sad stories but they are living good lives now. One of the monkeys is really silly and will interact with you or your children. Price was reasonable to get in, prices of the clothing and souvenirs is kind of high but they are similar to other attractions in the area. I feel comfortable paying the higher prices here because I know it goes to a really good cause. This organization needs our support to keep the animals comfortable and fed.

A modest price for an hour or so of fun. The reptile portion is indoors and the other animals are outside. The zoo was well maintained and clean. The goats were friendly and happy to be fed. They have hand washing stations around the zoo for after feeding.

Absolutely amazing zoo!!! All the animals were pets who were rescues or surrendered, which is super cool. I'm glad these animals are getting a chance to continue their lives in the care of someone who wants to help them! I went on a weekday and there were still a decent amount of people there, which is awesome. I'm so glad Luray has a place like this! The petting zoo was adorable, and all the animals throughout the zoo seemed excited to see people coming to visit them. The reptile room was really awesome, even for someone not too keen on snakes like me (I like them, just in their own space). All the animals had great plaques that explain about them, where they are from, and their endangered rating. So much care was put into this Rescue Zoo, and it shows. I loved visiting, and hope to come again!

Small roadside zoo with rescued animals, reptiles, and a petting zoo. My children enjoyed the snakes and the different monkies that a residents here. The petting zoo has goats and sheep that are happy to be hand fed pellets that can purchased at the zoo counter or for a quarter from the gumball machines. The gift shop is stocked with clothing and toys as souvenirs of your visit.

Had a great time with family, and saw some great animals. The feeding/petting zoo is a fun time. Those goats are hungry!! 🤣🤣

A beautiful and peaceful area to walk, jog, exercise, or just spend a nice day. Gorgeous blooming greenery and wildlife including ducks, geese, storks, etc. Picnic tables are around the park if you want to bring a lunch. Running waters create a tranquil atmosphere. Plenty to look at while you're walking down the trail such as cows, bridges, and local art. Kids go swimming in the river in the summer and people walk their dogs, along with bicycle and roller skate too.

i stay at a place from airbnb near by to do some site seeing and hiking on the skyline drive and in VA. i stumble across the luray haswbill greenway where people road bikes, did some jogging, walk their dog or just a nice stroll. they have a few picnic tables and benches where you can have lunch or read a book to enjoy the outside. my favorite spot was at the mechanic parking lot as you can see i love feeding the ducks. at one time i had well over 100 ducks around me. boy, do love cheerios and cornflakes. plus i love when small towns have places like this. it allows you to get out and say hello and meet your neighbors.

Beautiful area for biking, fishing, casual strolls. Follows a stream through downtown and a pastoral grazing cattle area in the span of a couple of nice paved biking/walking only miles

We were there for the Fourth of July and the whole festival was very well put together. The food trucks very efficient with the lines they had. The music was outstanding. It had been so long since we had seen live music and it was refreshing to see everyone having a good time. We are from a tourist town and I wanna let you know that the fireworks display was spectacular!! It out beat any show I've ever seen, for a place that triples in population just for the fireworks, that we are from. Can't wait to go back!!

Beautiful walking path follows the water.

The Hawksbill Greenway is an almost "Edenic" place for walking, enjoying nature, and relaxing.

Great nature walk right in town, following the creek. Murals decorate some buildings and bridges. Several very nice gardens along the path. Easy walk and handicapped accessible. If I lived here I'd use it every day.

Beautiful and Peaceful place to go walk or ride your bike. There is a straight you can start on that leads to a circular track at the end of there's parking at the end of you prefer to just go around the circle. The circle is about half a mile long.

Really fun couple, they offer wine (semi-sweet) and spirits tastings. They have chips and popcorn, no other food but you’re welcome to bring in your own. On a horse farm, definitely worth a stop

We came here from North Carolina and had a wonderful experience trying different wines and liquors made with great ingredients, you can really taste the difference. It’s a must visit if you’re in town! I can’t express the beauty of the scenery or the friendliness of the staff in words

Loved this distillery! We stopped in for a tasting. The wine was amazing. The bourbon was 10/10. We also loved the moonshine. The owners were SO nice and the area is beautiful. Highly recommend!

Very friendly couple run the place. I love their rye whiskey. The corn moonshine tastes like moonshine should. The bourbon is an easy drink. They also have a selection of country wines that changes depending on what is in season.

What a cute distillery and such wonderful owners. They were so friendly. We felt like we have known them forever. I am not a wine drinker but oh my. Their wine flavors are the best I have ever had. Their Niagra Grape and Pineapple were my favorite. We will be back for the Blackberry. My husband enjoyed the moonshine. I like all the local treats they have also. We will be back.

The hospitality at River Hill Distillery was amazing! A group of us came to Stanley for the weekend and numerous people told us to check this place out, so we did and I am extremely happy we did! From the wine, the bourbon, whiskey and moonshine they were all amazing! After we did our tasting the gentleman gave us a tour of the back of the house and explained the process of making everything! I will 10/10 come back and would recommend it to ANYONE! Make sure you try the Hillbilly Margarita. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We had a really fun tasting experience with brothers, Fred and Dave. They unexpectedly had some fruit wines that we're quite delicious on this hot summer day. Nice whiskeys, too. We walked away with a bottle of the 100 proof bourbon. And the setting is cool, too. They're on a horse farm! Beautiful property.

We heard many good things about the River Hill Distillery while on a road trip in the Shenandoah Valley. The Distillery is a little off the beaten path but well worth a visit. We picked up several bottles of their 100% corn Bourbon Whiskey as well as several bottles of their Bourbon Whiskey. The owners are very friendly and willing to share information on the distilling process.

Such a fun little place to visit off the beaten path. Quality of the Whisky isn't quite up to the standards of Virginia's Premier distilleries, but the enthusiasm and friendliness of the owners more than makes up for it. We didn't try the wine, so I can't review that.

We had a wonderful time! Really enjoyed our wine and spirits tastings. Learned a lot about how whiskey and bourbon are made. Very interesting!

The staff is very nice. The food they serve is delicious. I love the way they have the museum set up with a stage a video from Duke's fest. Great entertainment, great atmosphere. Everybody was Friendly. Food was really good. Waiting in line to get an Autograph from Catherine Bach "Daisy Duke", was the best to start off my Birthday Month and my Wife's 1st Autograph from one of the Best Actresses from the Original Dukes of Hazzards.

Museum is a lot smaller than I thought it would be , but it's FREE. Can't beat the price ! They have live music on the weekends including Gospel Bluegrass. The staff is friendly and helpful..Video and photos are allowed and encouraged. The merchandise is a little expensive but it has a great selection for nostalgia. Even if you're not a big fan of the TV show you may enjoy it because it's so neat!

Talk about a throwback! Stopped in while in luray. They were having a few concert and Cooter himself was singing! Definitely a must see if you were a fan of the show! Even if you weren't!

This was an awesome find. Saw a billboard for the place while heading home and decided to stop in right before closing on a Saturday. We missed Ben and the music they perform early on Saturdays, but will be stopping there the next time we can and will make sure to get there earlier. So much nostalgia is one small place.

It's definitely a tourist trap. I wouldn't call it a museum, not much to see. Mostly just pictures. So disappointed considering we drove 3 hours to go here. Band did play 1 song that I heard.

Had fun just stopping by to see the General Lee. We were hoping that the restaurant was opened but it was not so we kept going. Didn't go into the museum because we were hungry, but I know we'll be back I the future.

Good little museum for DoH fans. They have the cars from the show out front. Inside is tons of memorabilia and a replicated garage. If you are a fan should stop here. Not much of a restaurant but can get regular hot dogs etc type food. There is a dairy bar. Big gift shop. Was a fun time.

"I never knew this place existed. I drove past it on a trip to a ski slope, but I made sure to stop by on my way back. The place brought back so many nostalgic memories. Although it's small, it's definitely worth a visit if you grew up watching "The Dukes of Hazzard". There are three sections to the place: a gift shop where you can find a lot of memorabilia, a museum with vehicles that are in excellent condition, and an ice cream shop.

Wow! GREAT Stop! I made a reel on Instagram, TRD183 a must see! Very clean, All The Cars & Trucks and great museum of collectibles to transport back in time. Big place! Park for kids to play! Next to the caverns, easy stop and go. The shop needs to offer some Old school shirts like the 80's ! They have some cool ones In museum I wish was for sale. Got post cards to mail to grandparents.

The food was good and very reasonably priced. The breakfast menu is very limited but it's everything you'd want and very satisfying. Their stores prices are high but similar to other attracting in the area. The best part is the museum of memorabilia from the show Dukes of Hazzard. It was great taking a walk down memory lane. The bonus is the museum is free. You won't be disappointed.

We went to this museum today. There were lots of cool things to look at. There is also a gift shop here. The folks here were really nice. So far, one of my favorite places we visited during our trip. I was surprised they didn’t charge us to enter, but we did end up purchasing some really cool souvenirs.

Wow what a view! Loved the well maintained trail from the small parking area, too. Plan ahead as there are no bathrooms. You can learn a little about geology from the signage, too.

Such a great trail hike! If you can only do shorter hikes, this is the one for you. It's about 1/4 mile. Fully paved or wood plank walkways. Tons of shade all the way through. Do map the directions as it's off the beaten path a little. Small parking area very near trail entry. Get educated about the rocks along your walk. Huge rock areas with signs to explain what you are seeing. Very breath taking view at the end, as your reward. Perhaps don't go here if you've also been to Luray Caverns, that same day. I felt the burn for 2 days. It was worth it though. Check this place out for yourself.

This trail is THE best with toddlers. HEADS UP: UNFORTUNATELY, it is currently CLOSED due to a forest fire. We took our daughter for her birthday because she asked to go back to it; and, there are no signs until you get up there. Please call park services to figure out if it’s open or not before going.

This was a beautiful little walk to an awesome overlook. The road up to the parking area is very curvy but so worth it. There is a parking area and the whole trail to the overlook is paved so very accessible. Along the way there are some rocks to climb on and some small trails you could walk I guess. Also there are signs with some facts about the area throughout the trail. This is truly a hidden gem.

Well worth the drive and the walk is not bad at all. Just take the road slow, very aggressive potholes here and there. You can dodge them. There were a few trees blocking a small portion of the road but again nothing you can't dodge. The wood part of the trail is a bit slippery when wet. Beware of that. The walk is 0.4 mile to the overlook. At the top be very careful if you go off the trail.

The art community in Luray is fantastic! The Warehouse features work by various local artists in a wide variety of mediums. During the weekend there is usually live music and an amazing free art class on Saturday afternoons at 1p. The class is child friendly, if you attend the class and enjoy it look for the donation bucket and help keep this awesome program going! Photo is a project from one of the classes, a ceramic cat.

The gallery has an interesting collection of modern art. Although some of the reviews I read said it took 1-2 hours to tour, the gallery is small and only took about 30 minutes to go through. If you're in Luray and have the time, it's worth a visit.

This is the most awesome gallery. If you are looking for a museum this isn't it but much of the art will certainly be in a museum one day. The only negative is the heat so be prepared on a summer day BUT don't let it deter you from a visit. This place is a treasure in Luray, VA truly a must see.

Visited on a lark and was not disappointed! There’s something there for every taste and it was wonderful to take some time out to browse. It was warmer in the galleries outside of the shop, but certainly cooler than it was outside. A lovely way to spend an hour or so and find some art to take home!

Every small town should have such a diverse and eclectic art gallery. There is all kinds of art and sculpture to be seen and purchased!! Only part of the building was air conditioned, not very comfortable on a hot summer day?

Beer was just ok. Taco food truck outside was good. Atmosphere was fine. Liked it, but don’t know that I’d make a return trip. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Decent sized parking lot

Overall, nothing wrong , but there was nothing notable about our experience. The beer , except for the coffee stout that was delicious, was unremarkable. Every beer , while technically meeting it's style standards , was a low rent version of it's style. The atmosphere was a mix bag, it wast super busy but conversation was challenging as the building has a very pronounce echo regardless . I guess the blessing in disguise , is it a watering hole for the craft beer community in a one horse town, so options are limited at best. I have had worse , but there is nothing to drive me to come back , especially with such strong competition withing close driving distance.

Really excellent beers and beautifully clean and professional brewery, all in view of the seating area. Excellent IPA, porter, cream ale (hard to find style!), and tastefully spiced Belgian Christmas style quad ale. Friendly and knowledgeable staff steered us towards excellent brews both nights of our stay in Luray. They also package 16oz. cans on the premises for carry out.

Nice local brewery and friendly bartender. I had a flight and really enjoyed the Belgian. Only 5. abv and not overly sweet, very smooth. The coffee porter was also good.

I have tried this place at least five times in the 14 months I've lived in the area, and although the staff is pretty cool, and the atmosphere is chill... the most important part of the brewery, I.e. THE BEER, is consistently underwhelming (and that's being generous). By far the best beer I've had here was a black lager, which I would, again generously, give it a 7/10. most of their beers I'd rate below 5's. Seeing as it's the only brewery in the entire area, I hope they stay in business for the sake of having a meet up spot, but they really need to step up their game. if you're just visiting, take the drive down to Elkton brewery, it is objectively and vastly superior.

Great place to stop and have a cold beer. Indoor and outdoor seating, mostly picnic tables. Not a ton of parking. The food truck today, El Amigo, was delicious. Mexican lager was excellent!

Very friendly staff and good beer! I tried everything they had on tap today except the nitro. I liked the IPA AND Black Lager the best. They have chips but not kitchen if you are looking for food. But, they have plenty of menus for places in the area that will deliver.

Very warm welcome here while we were passing through. We brought our dog in who got plenty of pets. The place was very clean and the staff was very nice. my only complaint is that the beer selection wasn’t as diverse as I would prefer but what can I say maybe I don’t have the locals taste

All the beer was solid. Favorite was the Hooray IPA and Coffee Stout made with local coffee. The food truck was some of the best Mexican food we’ve ever had. Came back two nights in a row for it!

Convinced my 78 year old grandmother to go to a brewery. She left with a growler of red ale. A mix of modern and small town feel, cozy atmosphere, and amazing beer! It's hard not to have too many here. They don't serve food but usually have someone catering or there's a food truck out front. Visitors, this is a must see.

Great beer, beautiful building perfectly located in downtown Luray. I’d absolutely recommend stopping in for a couple drinks, the friendly service and welcoming atmosphere are always worth a visit!

The store has books, shirts, wallets, hats. Homemade arts, crafts, lamps, soaps,applebutter and such. it has small collection of collectable cards and coins. Basically a large variety of random stuff not found in a normal store.

This place takes you into another world! I love sifting through their old cookware and books! Lots of books! A place to get lost in your imagination. The perfect local shop.

Unfortunately the wild fires have done a considerable amount of damage here. The overlook view is spectacular, but the surrounding woods are scorched.

Honestly.. it was really nice... Easy hike not too crazy... Very nice view from the top..

This is a 2.5 mi one way trail to the top of Kennedy peak. The first 1 mile is easy as you'd gain very less elevation. BUT the next 1.5 mile is difficult, mainly due to steep elevation gain and the entire trail is over rocks. Be prepared with Good quality shoes for rocky terrain, lots of water. The views from the top is excellent but the last 0.3 miles of the stretch is a steep climb. Beware of 🐍 on this trail, we saw a snakes skin on the trail on our way back which was not present while hiking up. Parking is by the road, very limited, no restrooms.

The Kennedy Peak Trail offers scenic beauty and panoramic views. It's a must-visit. Be sure to come prepared with proper and comfortable footwear, water, snacks, etc, as it is a moderate-to-difficult trail that takes you through the George Washington National Forest. The trail is approximately 4.5 miles round trip and offers a rewarding view at an elevation of 2,297 feet. It's a perfect spot to take in the area's natural beauty, capture photographs, or picnic while enjoying the scenery.

Moderate hike/walk to an extra-ordinary view. No real views until the top, but it’s worth the effort. And if you go at the right time you’ll be delighted with an abundance of wild blueberries.

Fun & fairly easy day hike up Kennedy Peak in Jefferson National Forest (Luray, VA). Hike leads to a well maintained fire tower with amazing 180 views of the valley below. Last 1/2 mile or so is a bit of a rock scramble, but still very doable. Be prepared, bring your own water (none available at the trailhead), also no restrooms at the trailhead. Limited parking, so get there early. Hike takes about 1.5 - 2 hours up & probably a bit quicker on the return. About a 2.5 hour trip from RVA & in a fairly rural area so bring snacks with you.

Excellent hike that turned out to be right at 6 miles with 940 feet of elevation gain round trip. The first two miles are a gradual and easy climb. The sharp switch back is at mile 2 and the elevation becomes sharply steeper. Follow the oranges blazes all the way until you come upon the white blazes. They take you the final 0.3 miles up to the tower.

Parking at the peak is limited so if it's full and you don't want to risk a tow park a little further down at the Stephen's Trail parking lot. If you're doing the full loop it's not a problem. If you're just going to the tower it's another mile each way but not a big deal and you get some extra elevation gain.

It's a wonderful building setting in the old train station right next to an active railroad. It's well restored and with some beautiful artifacts and exhibits. It's also a peaceful place to visit.
