Modesto is very lucky to have this venue. We were seated in the last row of the orchestra (row X) in the wheelchair spaces and the view was great. I didn't go in the balcony but I doubt there is a bad seat in this theater. Ushers were quick to ask people to not use their phones. Everything was great.

I have been going there with my friend since you opened and we love every show ❤ . Thank you for all the joy you bring to us

Modesto has a beautiful and comfortable arts center. I encourage everyone to take advantage of this jewel and be sure to donate/thank the volunteers.

Very nice theater. It had 3 levels and the seating rows were elevated enough that even a shorter persons view would not be obstructed by the person seated in front of them. Drink and food prices were decent. Just to note when purchasing a drink you will need to purchase an additional spill proof cup. The cup is reusable. I would go back also, encourage others to visit the theater.

I like the Gallo Center.. it's in a safe location...it's clean and there is parking in the area. I wish there was more wine in the cup...lol. Come on Gallo..We enjoyed Drum Line.

I surprised my 85-year-old dad to see the Jersey Boys. So, for safety and not to disturb others, I purchased tickets in the last row up in the balcony in case he needed to get up and out multiple times 🚽😆 surprisingly our seats were perfect. We could see everything and sounded great 👏

The venue is nice and the theater is beautiful. The only problem is with the drinks. You can buy water, soda, coffee, hot chocolate, beer and wine, but........ The only way you can take your drink back to your seat, is if you purchase a tumbler. Otherwise, you need to drink your beverage quickly before you go back to your seat. Although, the tumbler is $3, the drinks are not cheap. It's kinda a rip off. Otherwise everything else was fine.

The Gallo Center itself is fantastic. Beautifully built, clean and well maintained. An amazing array of entertainment all year long for all ages. I gave it 4 stars because the concessions is mostly alcohol and strangely caramel corn or nuts. Just not much in variation there. If you're going to offer that much wine and beer maybe some crackers or something would be nice as well. Intermission is a wonderful time to have a little cheese and cracker snack with your glass of wine. Just my thought.

Donny Osmond last night. Amazing show. Fantastic time thank you very much for the amazing time. All the staff were unbelievable in the way they treated all of us , like we were the only one's in the theatre. Sold out show. I will definitely be going again. Thanks for the chance of a lifetime 😊

Well managed theatre. Nosebleed seats were great! Watched Frankenstein Ballet. Grateful there was not a lot of crowd shenanigans. No phones, ushers seated everyone. Security people.. asl interpreters.. a wonderful experience.

Saw the symphony and was absolutely spectacular!! Great to know that Modesto is well rounded and has appreciation for the Arts. Impressive. Had balcony seating and the acoustics were phenomenal!! The views up there were captivating. Yes, you do have to pay extra to purchase an enclosed sipping cup for one to enjoy alcohol during the show, but totally worth it to support the Arts and to prevent from spilling drinks. Staff were friendly and helpful. Staggered seating throughout the theater. Clean restrooms as well as inside and out or the theater. The building’s architecture is quite grand and elegant. Tons of eateries & bars to try before the show that is in walking distance. Great location and will continue to watch shows here instead. ❤️

I love performing and watching all sorts of Gallo shows. I’ve seen a wide range of shows from Broadway Tours to local theatre, and have been in quite a few shows myself. Gallo Center For The Arts has many Arts Education programs from, YES Company, YES Academy, Gallo Center Youth Academy, Creation Station, to Broadway Days, Masterclasses & Workshops.

We had a chance to see Riders in the sky on November 10th and the venue is excellent. Very clean very classy.

Went with my Son and daughter-in-law who took thier 14 month old to see Bluey puppet show. Comfortable seats, good sound, and it didn't appear that there was a bad seat in the theater. Lots of food options nearby. I would definitely go here again

We traveled from another state to visit family and the Dinosaur light show was one of the things on our itinerary!! This place was awesome, Everyone was very nice and the show was amazing!! Clean and Kid friendly!

I love older theaters, and this one did not disappoint. The staff are all friendly and we enjoyed ourselves at the concert. The acoustics are not perfect, but thatbis to be expected in an older place...BUT... it definitely didn't stop us from enjoying ourselves! We will go here again 😊

While the show was very good The theater is an unmitigated disaster. They can thank the host for saving the night. The seats are incredibly narrow although they do have a bit of legroom. It's the old '70s metal framed fold-down seating. They can put a ton of people in this place and they do. There were not enough garbage cans for people to throw things away so of course the theater was left with all kinds of junk. But maybe the scariest part was looking up at the ceiling where the skylights were covered with possibly inches of dirt. Could just imagine that falling down. Lastly, exiting the theater while a new shows audience is showing up is madness and they should know this. The lobby was a catastrophe of people going every which way. It didn't help that the host was allowed to sell stuff immediately outside the exit. This place needs to get their act together with the flow of people or it's going to be a miserable experience for everyone.

Renovated with quality furnishings and cushy seats this beautiful theater is a one of a kind experience. Even when you get some concessions treats it feels personable and warm. The decor in the theater is is delightful and invokes the magic of cinemas from the Golden Era of cinema.

My wife I watch Oppenheimer at The State Theater. We loved the atmosphere State Theater has, can't wait to see some of the classics you guys show there. Great place to check out Modesto. Keep up the great work.

Compared to other theaters, this is a small theater. Both my girlfriend and I are disabled, so the seating was not very comfortable. The show we went to see was OK, but there were so many people, the theater was very warm. Not comfortable at all.

Went for my childs field trip loved the seating employees were great and helpful. The show was great

I always love the films shown at the state! The venue is relaxing and very welcoming. The staff are extremely helpful and always greet you with a big smile and a friendly "hello".

This place is just iconic for the old time Hollywood feels. I love going here to see classics and some otherwise unreleased films not showing on mainstream. And there popcorn is devilishly good with the real butter yum!!!

This is a Modesto hidden gem! Good movies in a beautiful theater and a wonderful and diverse staff. Its doesn't get better then The State Theater Popcorn real butter and they offer amazing little spice mixes for addition flavors. They offer cocktails wine and local brews. I have seen many movies and events here. Its a Modesto Icon.

Opera Modesto presented the world premiere of the opera Sherlock Holms and the Case of the Fallen Giant in the State Theatre. It was a wonderful production!

We decided to take in a showing of Leonid and Friends at the State Theatre in Modesto (if you've not heard of Leonid and Friends, they are a Russian musical group who primarily plays covers of the band Chicago but also performs some EW&F tunes). It was a long drive for us but well worth it. The theater is in downtown Modesto and holds about 550 guests in the main section. In addition to the regular seating, there are open areas for those with disabilities. The theater had good acoustics and the seats were comfortable. In the foyer, the theater sold candy, popcorn, drinks and adult beverages. Restrooms were clean and the foyer was decorated for Christmas. I liked the feel of the theater. It reminded of my younger days, attending our local theater for concerts, movies, and other shows. My wife and I had a great time and really enjoyed the show and the theater.

The restoration over the years is simply fabulous. They kept the history and ambiance of the old theater and enhanced it with a delicate touch. A real gem!!

Nice revival of a traditional theater. I have seen a few live music acts there that I really enjoyed. The venue has done a lot of poetry shows too. The board has done a great job with the expansion of the new Intermission facility.

I've been going here since I was a little kid to watch the Modesto nuts play (and win). Whether it was on my free time, a field trip, tickets I'd won, or a scout event I was here all the time. The grounds are kept very well maintained and clean, and it is always a blast watching our local baseball team take a win.

My family and I went to a baseball game on Sunday August 22, 2021. The sun was extremely hot my head was pounding so I went to the top of the stand and stood in the diner only to be removed by one of the worker. There were few people so one of my family members took out a small umbrella the same worker told her that it was not allowed. There were hardly anyone there most of rows were empty the umbrella wouldn't have obstructed anyone. We left before the game ended because the heat was unbearable. We planned we will never go back. My daughter who has migraine had an attack in the middle of the night .

This is great family entertainment at a affordable price. Even the snack bar which had a pretty decent menu isn’t as expensive as major league parks. It’s fun because you’re up close to the action. And at this level of baseball these kids are really trying hard.

Fun, but they need to sell better food and sweets. They sell more beer than anything else and there's a lot of kids attending the games. But I have to say from what I can see, not one fight broke out..😁

When the minor League Nuts Seatle Mariners single A team are playing it’s always a good time . The three Nuts Mascots are always entertaining. there’s lots of fan interaction. The Kids get to run the bases on certain days.The shaved ice / snow cones are great treat on a Hot Day!

Parking next to the field, Every seat is a great view. A great time!

History galore! There are plenty of exhibits about the city of Modesto. The volunteers are very nice.

I took my wife here so we could learn more about the area. We just moved here from Utah, and we loved this museum. The house is amazing, and the staff was very knowledgeable. I gave it 4 stars because it's not the most exciting exhibit I have ever been to, and the parking situation is not ideal. I would definitely recommend this place. One thing I would add is to leave your small kids at home if they tend to be rowdy. If you do bring them, don't let them run around screaming and climbing all over the exhibits. I was very disappointed during our trip with some individuals who lacked the parenting skills to keep their children/grand children in check.

This is a nice interactive way to view the 1 families history of modesto. The cost is free. To access information on the tour the building next door to McHenry museum is where you sign in and receive more information about the tour. You'll be shown a little video on the history of the museum. And then a tour guide will accompany you through the house. The tour guides area group of lovely ladies that have been volunteering at the museum for years. Their love of Modesto and the museum Definitely shows with the years of dedication and volunteering. Special events can be reserved at the museum and the little park across the street.

This is a great free museum at Modesto! There are so many interesting things to see and learn about the city (Modesto) and Stanislaus County! There are two floors of exhibits! The staff are very friendly and nice!!! It is definitely worth its high rating! Highly recommend visiting here! Note: The safety protocol (against Covid) is good! Self-served sign-in! Masks are required! Everyone’s temperature would be checked at the door with an automatic machine!

This is a free museum! They have the main floor and a basement full of interesting things to look through. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It’s a nice little museum and worth a look through while you’re in town.

Very friendly. And how can you go wrong with cool displays of Modesto old time history. Music, war time, trains, old past on collectables and more. The only problem is you can't really take it all in in one visit.

It is a huge mall with plenty of shopping and eatery places. There's a huge furniture store ( Furniture City) , fun places like David and Bursters. Premium shopping like Macy's, Victoria secret. Many clothing and shoes stores. There are many toys shops and Toys r Us is coming soon.

My daughter and her friend and I loved the pizza here. The crust has a crisp touch . Pizza tastes good. If u go to Modesto mall. You should try there pizza.

This was a really fun place to go to with my friend and my girlfriend. I was visiting Modesto for a little vacation and decided to just go here for a few hours. I went to Dave and Busters for a date with my girlfriend, bought a set of dragon balls, bought a straw hat Luffy hat, bought my nephew a birthday present and got pretzel bites at Auntie Anns which I shared with my girlfriend. I gave her the pepperoni on the little pretzel bites. The food was really good and I just enjoyed my time there with the two I went with. Definitely a place to have some fun!

Went there for Christmas week and Santa was there taking pictures, it was an amazing mall but packed. There was only one register open on the top floor which made the lines pretty long otherwise I’m not gonna complain, I’ll go back..

Judging this mall by the international scale and scope of malls, it would be much lower in scale. Unfortunately, I live in the central valley of CA which means around my location it is one of the bigger ones. There is plenty to do, lots to see. To be honest? Why are there so many clothes stores now! Where did all the cool novelty stores go! This is why growing up sucks!

I've been visiting Vintage Fair Mall in Modesto for over 25 years, and it's always been a great place to shop. The mall has a wide variety of stores to choose from, and there's always something new and exciting to discover. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they go out of their way to make sure you have a great shopping experience. The mall is clean and well-maintained, and it's a pleasure to spend time there. Overall, Vintage Fair Mall is a top-notch shopping destination and I highly recommend it to anyone in the Modesto area. It's a place that holds a lot of special memories for me, and I hope it will continue to do so for many more years to come.

I went to the mall with some friends and it was fun! We were at Furniture City for about an hour just for sitting on couches and looking around. There are good stores here and the mall is big.

The Food Court area has a variety of foods for those who enjoy different styles. There is Thai, Mexican and American food. Restrooms need better cleaning. They smell like urine. A LOT!!!

Victoria secret is the best experience for all ages in this area all of the employees are very sweet and helpful. Well most of them. Thanks for the quick update on all up coming d sales and events.. Furniture City has great collections that will transform the look of your home.

What can I say? It’s the mall. It isn’t nearly as bad as some of the other malls I’ve heard of, but it’s seen its heyday come and go. It’s still a clean, inviting space, but it has seen a major deterioration in quality of stores. If you are looking to go clothes shopping for children, this is an all right experience. I don’t know about many other spots in the mall any more. Highlights would probably be Dick’s sporting goods and some of the smaller knickknacky places that aren’t filled with overpriced low-quality clothes yet. Whether this is just a sign of the times or the mall administration, I don’t know, but it’s not as much of a fun place as it was 20 years ago. Not bad, not fantastic either.

The only reason I am giving it this rating is my car was damaged/most likely totaled at the park n ride lot this past week. My hope is to help others think twice before parking any vehicle there. The only good thing about that night was the amazing assistance I received from mall security. An officer met me at my car to let me know what happened, and if he hadn't, I really don't know how I would have handled this situation. He helped me with the next steps and let me sit in his warm vehicle instead of outside in the cold at 1am. He was very professional, personable, and gentleman at the same time. He made me feel comfortable at a devastating time.

Remains vibrant while other malls are dying. Good range of stores over the two floors. Enough anchor stores to bring the traffic in. Ample free parking including some covered spots.

Love going thru here it's fun and I like the vibe. Even if I'm window shopping.

1st time being here, service was good and could've been better. The husband had to wait 15-20 minutes to pay our tab. It wasn't busy either. Otherwise, I'd give 5 stars. I enjoyed the atmosphere with plenty of things to do. The food was decent. Great for a date night or family gathering. Will definitely be going back.

Busy as usual for a Saturday. Too many clothing shops, not many "other" shops anymore tho. But as always, the mall was an adventure. 😏 dBig downside was it was super warm inside throughout the whole mall.

Great little museum not known by many people. Took some out of town family for a little day trip & we all ended up learning a few things about our region & the critters within it. Very affordable & if you take your time & look @ everything you could very well spend a couple hours entertaining little ones. Don't forget to check out the gift shop on the way out.....you may find a little project to continue your learning!

My family and I went to the Dinosaur exhibit this evening, the kids had a lot of fun, they had face painting and kind of like a scavenger hunt, raffle and we got to see a lot of the animal exhibits as well. We plan on going back sometime to go to the planetarium. Had a lot of fun.

We basically had the whole place to ourselves, as it was a weekday and the museum most likely is less busy due to covid. It was very nice, and there was a lot to see and read. All the taxidermy there is very good quality, and the scenes that the taxidermy are placed into are all very realistic (down to fake animal droppings haha). You can tell that a lot of time went into creating the scenes and into research for the information. It was very enjoyable. I loved the gift shop as well, lots of very interesting and cool items. we got crystal bracelets, soap, and a little plastic frog. I would definitely go again, especially since they show different exhibits and do different things like that sometimes. Go pirates! :)

Great experience for the family. Lot of learning about our habitats and the animal species that live there in. They have great sceneries presented with great detail from the rodents all the way up to the big animals. Different species of bird types with all taxidermied animals. Great price for a good experience. Highly recommend for a small family outing about 45 minutes spent walking around looking at different things. With the telescope Up on the Roof we were able to observe the moon very close up.

Nice museum for young kids full of local animals displayed in natural habitats. The gift shop has cool, well priced science activities for kids. The entire museum can be enjoyed in 30-45 minutes but introduces kids to science nature very well. Support our local museum.

First Time and we Loved every second of it. So much information for kids and adults. 💜 My children enjoy themselves and learn at the same time.

Our three year old liked the exhibits and loved the craft in the kid's area. It was a quick trip. Less than two hours. Nice facility with well maintained exhibits. We will definitely go again once our daughter is older. Gift shop has lots of cool stuff.

This place needs to bring the bucket of popcorn 🍿 and free refills for there paying customer. Also while waiting for the movie to come out lower the volume during your adds just just to loud. Like the seats they are very comfortable.

I am here May 8th at 1pm. I went up to speak with the girl at the front desk, didn’t get her name yet, but she had braces. I let her know the theatre playing Dr.Strange was insufferably hot in temperature and that people were complaining about it in the theatre. She smiled and said she couldn’t do anything about it. She said that the person who controls the thermostat isn’t there so there’s no way they can adjust the temperature. I told her that it was too hot to negotiate that, so I asked for the manager. She pointed me in his direction and had me chase him down. He let me know there wasn’t anything he could do about it either. I let him know it’s a risk of people passing out in there, it was THAT HOT. He didn’t offer any alternatives besides changing my show time. But that doesn’t help the other people who were in the theatre. Both employees were incredibly unprofessional and rude for no reason. There should be more than one person in control of the thermostat, it’s an incredible safety hazard. You’d think the manager would have more control. I rate them a 1 star for these two employees and the way they handled the situation poorly.

This is a premium theater. The seats were very comfortable. They need to get better food though. The price should propel you to offer a wider range of food. The movie Taylor Swift Eras was too goid. I loved the atmosphere of the whole experience. The whole theater was singing together.

Movie was good but staff is trash. I literally got followed all the way to the bathroom to get shaken down to show my movie ticket. The worse part is that I had already seen the movie and I was just using the restroom. After being hassled by two workers and harassed I honestly don't want to return. All that trouble for a movie? Better in my living room next time. No way of getting ahold if management to complain either.

It seems like they never get their arcade games fixed. These games always steal money from you. Not just that but they are very old, time for a upgrade don't you guys think. Come on now guys, get it together.

The seats were very raggedy and customer service sucked! Tried to get assistance from employees to change seats but no one ever came to help after they promised to come into theater 15 to assist. Movie shut off abruptly at the end, not showing credits. The lights came on bright within seconds as if they were saying, "GET OUT!" I'll never come back to this theater

Took three boys, ages 13, 11 and 9 to see Wonka and we had a great experience. Very comfortable reclining seats and we really liked the food trays that we could put our food on. There's a huge parking garage across the street, so parking is never a problem. The only negative was that they were out of pizza. The boys were disappointed, but my wallet was happy. Oh and the front of the theater is old style from the 50's or 60's. Very cool architecture. But that's where the retro ends. The interior is modern with all the current amenities.

One thing I most enjoy about Brenden theaters is reclining seats. Nothing like grabbing a bucket of popcorn and A drink, recline your seat and enjoy the movie. For the most part the theater is well-maintained and sanitized. Be prepared they do not have a ticket window purchase your tickets anymore. You have to go inside and use one of the kiosk stations or buy it on fandango. Brannon works very hard to continue to support the downtown business district. They’ve always been a good neighbor and community conscious.

No wifi, the food gone, $8 or no wifi for waiting to dark, not enough happiness colors. There's room to make the place better, but would they I don't know and there's not many places to wait inside before the movi starts

I'm surprised this place has anything over a 4 star rating the customer service is very rude. We were visiting the area and recieved a push notification from Groupon, so we purchased tickets from Groupon the day after Christmas, with the idea they were going to take the kids to see Wonka. We get to the theater to learn that the tickets can only be used after the movie had been out for two weeks- this was not mentioned on the purchased tickets anywhere. We have four kids and it was the day after Christmas, we had just spend $35 on Groupon and couldn't justify swinging an additional $60 bucks, when regal offers military discounts and we could get tickets from them for much less. So we went to another theater and told our girls we would bring them back to watch mean girls. We live in Fresno, we planned an afternoon to come back down to use the Groupon tickets two weeks after mean girls would be out. When we arrived to the theater, again we were greeted with another face less than excited to be at work and again we were promptly told that we couldn't use the tickets as they are only redeemable Monday- Thursday. It was a Sunday afternoon and really Noone was there. Okay, this is disappointing I tried calling several times to verify we wouldn't have an issue and nobody answers the phone it says mailbox full. The gal informed me with all the attitude that of course they didn't answer, they don't have a business line. Who ever runs this Google page needs to change to no phone number if that's the case. We were reminded that they offer no discounts and that we should read the fine print when we purchase tickets. I pilulled the tickets up and said yes, it does say Monday- Thursday that's my bad but it doesn't anywhere say must wait two weeks- that's a rule that needs to be on the tickets. We waited 30 mins to talk to a manager who never came so we left and are back at Regal watching a movie. We will be calling Groupon tomorrow for a refund and don't plan on ever stepping into brenden again- things happen and misunderstandings happen but the people who work there are just miserable and mean.

Went here during MODSHOP. Their was such cute art and I will definitely be back to get some!

The staff is nice, and both the exhibited art and the gift shop selections are interesting and well-done. Some of the work displayed in June 2022 is stunning.
