Casinos are not my thing but the horse racing section was cool to look at. Heavy smell of cigarettes, even when going very early and not many people there, if they had a no smoking gaming section I might have stayed longer but after 30 minutes the smell was killing me :-(

Their new restaurant, The Inside Rail, was very good. The 'Touchdown Platter' appetizer was 9 out of 10 only because the meat pies were more on the bland side. The boudin egg rolls were good, and the chicken tenders were amazing and seasoned to perfection! Of course, one has to try the wings, so we ordered the sweet and sour wings. The sauce was really good. The Philly Cheesesteak sandwich was good, but I would get extra sauce next time. The burger was good as well. For dessert, I opted for the bread pudding, something I don't normally eat, but it was really good as I ate half of it, lol. Overall, I will definitely be back to try out the rest of the menu. I had a gift certificate for my birthday and spent every penny of the $75.

This casino's business model is clear, Pay absolutely nothing out at all costs, That explains why on a Friday night they have 50 people playing. I was told it was a "busy" night 🤣😅 Save your money go on to far nicer casinos just to the west. To the "New" owners (So they said) loosen up your machines , people who can at least play for a while have fun and comeback.

They really don't have enough help to keep the place clean the machines were dirty and the bathrooms were dirty you really couldn't win much on the machines at the low side of the betting play. I did see some folk win. But there no food court at night after 11pm and drinks are hard to get. But I had a good time

Very beautiful horse racing track it was my first time attending Louisiana Downs very Beautiful Inside and no shortage of Automatic betting machine's..

Racing is fun. Drinks are cheap. It's never too packed. Food is great for the price. Best to go on smaller race days...easier to hit the triffectas. Payout is smaller but you won't leave broke. Easy to get in and out. Parking is well laid out. Customer service is A1. Gambling at casino is not worth it unless you're playing with a good bankroll. Good luck and enjoy your day!

Was here for the Red River Balloon Rally 2023, very nice venue. Had alot of fun.

This casino is a slum . Service is a joke . Machines are always broken. Food is so low quality but at 5star prices. Spend thousands a week but never receive any promotions . They give free coffee as your reward but coffee shop is never opened. It's not safe shady looking men will follow you to every machine and security does not care to ask them to leave clearly they aren't playing. They have one cocktail server on weekends cash machines are always out of cash. The employees are beyond rude. Not all some are great. The owner is a slumlord because he won't try to improve this casino. He took a decent place an made it a trashy lowgrade unsafe casino. Security is geriatric some use actual walkers . Stay away from here at night It's not worth being followed by schetchy people . Should be a law that police have to be employed at casino at night .I've been gambling there for many many years . And your casino doesn't give anyone anything no freeplay but maybe 2-4 times a month if you're lucky an then it's 5 bucks. I play highlimits 10 a spin most times . I never get anything from casino so I don't bother with a card anymore it's not worth using it anymore. Food is a joke I watched them throw a customers foor back in fried after customer had it at table health hazard 100%. Employees most are unfriendly, just rude. I know and have good relationships with the friendly ones. Bathroom attendees are hiding in there on phone and bathrooms are out of paper ,dirty sad.and the shady men following women around never playing any machine . Waiting to snatch something. Heck 2 security bosses are amazing one is the lady who has since been changed back to her normal shift. And the man who's been security at casinos since day one in 94 /96 . Small Frame always saying hello helping customers . The rest are a joke pretty much. So don't blow smoke . You don't give 2 cents about casino you've been there what 3 maybe 4 times only because gaming board had issues. You play no music it's quiet people want music fun,energy being a dealer since 96 customers want friendly service. They are giving hard earned money and want to be treated like they pay your bills . After all they do to a point. Comp your loyal customers. And when u have drawings it's always the people who don't gamble just drink an wait to win drawing and it's always one not the actual gamblers . We go to a good casino now where they show thanks

This place is horrible, the comps are next to none, they don't have a bar,they hardly have any one serving drinks, you might as well throw you money in the trash can if you decide to gamble here. And to top it off they closed the truck parking, which is a very big no no ,truck drivers are the backbone of America why would you not offer them a place to rest and maybe have a little fun. I don't advise anyone to go here, it would be best to let this place die away,IT,,,IS,,,,HORRIBLE.

We had a fantastic day at the races. This was the first time for my wife & daughter @ Louisiana Downs. I had visited about 2 years ago & talk about upgrades! I love that Fudrucker's is still alive and well inside & of course they added a casino. We came for the exotic animal races - a Memorial Day weekend tradition. Great fun and we even won a little.

Nice but not enough action. It was dead. But the waitress was great. The cleaning staff was very nice. The restroom was clean and smelled good.

Went in to play a few slots, watch some football, eat, and drink some beers. Well the slots went OK but the machine that cashes your ticket out doesn't dispense coins, that's old fashioned. Sat down at the sportsbar. Cassandra brought me a beer and a menu. Football starts and I can view 8 televisions so I should have many game options. Nope! They only have 1 game available to watch. I was shocked. This place is a casino, horse racing track, a sportsbook, but they only have access to 1 football game. Unbelievable! Ordered food which was alright. Cassandra was awesome but the management needs to figure things out.

Food options are minimal, prices were decent, restrooms were in disarray to put it kindly. But track and ease of betting earned it some points. March 8 during the Futurity Trails. first floor entrance RR and second Floor stands RR.

Enjoy watching the races. Would be better if there were more horses competing. At times there have been only 5 or 6. In the past there has been more live entertainment on weekends. Also. LAD had fireworks for New Years and the 4th of July. These have been abandoned. They are under new management and they have plans to add more services that will improve the experience

I stayed for my Birthday Weekend. I know nothing is free, buttt I didn’t receive anything complimentary what so ever. Since it was a weekend, the room was over 200$ for one night. Their was a fake eyelash just laying in the open, like come on, they HAD to see that if they Actually cleaned it. The ladies serving drinks were so rude. Me being the kind of person I am, I always tip. One lady even poked a whole in the bottom of my cup, and it leaked All over me. The only people at the Hotel/Casino were pretty much the cleaning people. They were so nice, and friendly, very helpful when I did need something brought to my Room!!! The lady that checks your ID at the Casino Entrance, is the Rudest of them All!!! I honestly will never be back there because of her look and attitude. It cost nothing to smile and be nice. So yeah they need help here!

The first thing we encountered when pulling up to the Valet area was an overflowing trash can with trash on the ground beside it. Not a great first impression. Check in was good but it took them 3 tries (with me going up to the room and back down) to get my key cards correct. Our room was fine - just dated. Could use some upgrading. The gaming floor was O.K., beverage service was slow because they are understaffed. There were a lot of people sitting in the chairs in front of slot machines not gambling. Just taking up space. Lots of newer slot machines - we actually came home with money. The broken escalators put a strain on the one elevator. The band playing Saturday night, The Crowd, was fantastic. All in all, a great trip.

I wish 0 stars was an option… considering we weren’t even able to stay here! We were basically kicked out with NO HELP & blatant disrespect from the front desk guy. It was 1AM and the room was paid for in advance over the phone with the reservations department. The lady told us there would be a hold on the card we used to pay, but never once mentioned that we would need to present this card at check in with an ID that matches & that person had to physically be there. My husband and I are aware of protocols, however, we were using my mom’s card for our hotel & we did have a picture of her ID. It would’ve been nice if we were told this before we drove 7 hrs to stay here. It also would’ve been nice if the guy at the front desk could’ve offered us options and helped us out, but we were given absolutely no information. We had to ask him if we were going to be refunded and his response was “Yep”. ABSOLUTELY no respect. We had to continue driving an hour to a hotel in TX, while exhausted from driving all day. The hotel in TX saved us and went above and beyond to offer ways for my mom to send in a credit card authorization form + a picture of her ID. It was as simple as that. I guess everything really is bigger + better in TX… employee’s respect toward customers + going above and beyond to help others out goes a long way! I DON’T RECOMMEND HORSESHOE HOTEL AT ALL!!

The hotel room was nice. We got a complimentary upgrade to a suite when we checked-in. All of the staff we talked with were extremely friendly. There is a pizza place that has the best brick oven pizza. The slot machines don't pay out if you are looking to win. We ended up going to another casino to play and won money there. It is a nice hotel but next time I will be staying at a different casino, so I can experience all of them in that area.

I was impressed. The casino was immaculate, the drinks (alcohol included) were free, the restaurants were awesome, the rooms were impeccable!! I can't believe how nice it was. My stay at the Horseshoe felt GRAND! The decor in this place is impressive! A beautiful experience! Will definitely be back!

A real mix. Rooms are very tired. Steakhouse is exceptional. Seafood restaurant is unforgivably bad serving raw or overcooked but never right. Cooks are rude. Ashley is the one shining star. Customer facing employees like dealers and front desk staff are loud, dismissive, rude, and inattentive but cleaning and security staff are very nice. Overall it's not worth visiting if you have other options. And let's not talk about the daily resort fee. For what?? This isn't a resort by any stretch and what they do have you must pay for, so again, for what?

I've always loved the Horseshoe. The staff is laid back and they let you enjoy yourself without being too visible. Drinks are free while you're gambling so that's a big plus. Parking is easy too. You can win a little if you know what you're doing. Bossier City has a lot to offer you if you just want to have some fun.

I went here New Years Eve. I had a BBQ pork grilled cheese sandwich with fries and a couple of Bud Lights at the grill and bar across the corridor from the noodle place. It was spectacular! And the waitress was very nice and took great care of me. I left her a big tip and then went straight to the casino! I wandered around for about an hour before landing at a high card flush table. I was new to this game, but it was very easy to learn. After a couple of hours of playing the dealer dealt me a hand of 6 clubs out of the 7 cards I was dealt! That landed me $550!! Later in the evening I found a $1 slot machine i wanted to try. And BAM!! Another $180!! I walked out of the Horseshoe that night with a little over $700!! Happy New Years To Me!!

Place was really clean and smelt good. The rooms were better than expected. Even the hallways to the rooms were nice. The casino was pretty good. Our dealer Timothy was the best! Hands down!! If you have a chance please eat at binon's steakhouse. That place is so freaking good. Little expensive, but well worth it.

As someone from the Shreveport-Bossier area I’ve always heard this place was really nice, but I am so disappointed after my stay. The hotel part has definitely gone downhill. The casino part itself is nice and fun with lots of drinks and also restaurants, but the rooms were so bad. They were just gross. The carpet was so sticky in some spots that our shoes would get stuck. There were crumbs and items from the last guests left on the floor. The bathtub was huge and looked so nice.. but had yellow gunk on the rim. It wasn’t staining, it was some sticky liquid that I could wipe off that they obviously didn’t clean. I’ve stayed in beaten up motels off the interstate that had better standards of cleaning than this place. Not worth the price and I would not pay for lodging here again.

Trailer park clientele with chandeliers and marble floors ambience. If you like the smell of cigarette smoke and lukewarm showers, you’ll love the room accommodations. “Round the clock Complimentary” valet provided, unfortunately, I don’t have any compliments there either, due to the fact I had a 7am flight and there was no service at 5:30am, bc the valet slept in…or something. We won’t be returning.

Come in to cool off and play. Played $200 in an hour. Had to chase wait staff around to get a drink. Out of 4 waitress on the 3rd and 1st floor. They were extremely rude. I'll take my money to a bar and get more for it. And I was tipping $4. It was an act of congress to get even 2 drinks. Standing at ATM going to play some more. When the 3rd waitress was extremely rude again and I just left. Thank you for saving me more money

Still no buffets in casinos here, dang! However, this casino is amazing! We had actually booked our room at Margaritaville for Thanksgiving for 3 nights. What a mistake. We ended up coming here during the day. Horseshoe has great morale, and great music! You can feel a difference in the air. Slots were great. They had 3 floors of slots. A real bar, and great restaurants. I’d recommend this for visitors for sure.

For our very first, and fortunately for us, our last stay at this location, our visit was all but pathetic from start to finish. Upon arrival, our reservation was not shown in the system. We were told that we had to show a confirmation. We showed it and were given a room. We parked in the parking garage and carried and pulled all of our items to the elevator. We were informed that there were no carts for people to use for luggage. Immediately upon arriving at the elevator, we were overwhelmed with the odor of marijuana. We went up to our room and were met with a slightly run down appearance of a room. We then noticed no microwave and no coffee pot and a refrigerator that wasn’t working. Maintenance came and fixed the refrigerator. We unpacked and went to the elevator and again was overwhelmed with the odor of marijuana. We went to the casino and was met with several individuals that appeared to not want to be there. The first was the bartender on the second level. I walked up and was looking around. He and four other coworkers were talking and cutting up. I was asked “is there something you need?” I asked if there was anything frozen. He said “it’s right here” and pointed at the daiquiri machine. I asked if I could have a daiquiri. Without another word, he made one pushed it toward me and turned around and walked away and started talking with the co workers again. We went to play on the machines. We played for over an hour and a half and no one walked around to serve any drinks. The server was one of those at the the bar talking. I went back and asked if I could get another drink. The bartender once again acted as if I was bothering him, stated “no, you need to wait and get served at the machine.” I told him no one was coming and he said “you need to wait.” I walked away. I asked to speak to the supervisor and told her about what was going on. She said she was sorry about what was happening and would have to look at the cameras to confirm my story. After playing, we went back to the elevator and once again was overwhelmed with the odor of marijuana. Every single time during our stay, the elevators and immediate areas smelled very strongly of marijuana. Very sickening. Not once, not twice but every single time. Staff cared less about it as we told them and they said they knew and we were told that nothing could be done. I advised that it was nauseating smelling it. We were told to pick different elevator cars if it bothered us too much. We were here for three days and experienced issues everyday. On top of the ridiculous cost for what you get for staying here, they tack on a $20 per day resort fee. A WHAT? FOR WHAT? Never again will we stay at this location. It did not live up to the name it carries. It was bad!

Be careful they will double charge, and say they don't see the charge, but I just got off the phone with my bank and they have charged $530 extra (i had 2 separate charges). And can't get ahold of anyone who can fix it. Other than spending $1,169 for 3 nights and a scooter rental. It was great. I hope we can get our money back.

Rooms were very nice. Spacious, clean, quiet. Huge tub and spacious bathroom. Lots of food options in house but being a casino expect $20+ per person. We had the 8oz burger bar that was excellent. Didn't spend much time in the casino side. It van be a bit of a sensory nightmare with the smells, the loud music, and all the things going on but if that doesn't bother you it's a nice place to stay right off i20.

My wife ordered our room online. We paid around$80+. We Horseshoe was our choice as we had stayed there before. This time, we were extremely disappointed. The living area was OK, but she needs an update. The bed!!! Ugh. The mattress has been on the bed for so long that there are body cavities on each side of the bed. I woke up as sore as if I had worked out. The linens were old, with stains and holes in them. I had a very early Dr. appointment at the v.a; so I showered the night before. The bathroom was gross. It did not appear as though it had been thoroughly cleaned in a while. I observed what looked to be tiny mold spots on the grout lines. I rubbed one with a wash cloth, and the spot came off. I hope it wasn't mold. The bathroom floor simply was not clean. I made a towel walkway so my wife could walk to the bathroom. She refused to shower in the tub. I could easily deal with most of the issues but cannot deal with unclean.

My fiancé and I stayed at the Horseshoe last night for our three year anniversary! We had the most amazing night! Our room was perfect and our view was beautiful. Our bed was comfortable, though we weren’t in the room long. The bath tub was huge and the water was nice and hot. We also loved the casino! We spent almost all night down there. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. Everyone was friendly and helpful(staff and guests)! Thank y’all for the absolute wonderful stay! We can’t wait to come back!!

It's sad when you can visually see the effects of the pandemic even in December of 2022 stores closed, venues not being used. This place should be hopping with liveliness and excitement. I hope you make a comeback. If the machines and tables are full with players then the other parts should have exude the appeal

The room was spacious, and the tub was huge! The water pressure was great! Our room was clean and in good repair. My only complaint was that you could only add two devices to the wifi and the wifi was just so-so. One of the best rooms I've stayed in at this price point.

On the plus side most of the staff are as friendly as ever. However, the accommodations and amenities have gone downhill over the last many years that I have been visiting this place. Although Covid restrictions are long gone in most sane places, the toll it has taken on this establishment are long lasting. Coffee machines in rooms are still absent and rooms no longer receive maid service every day. The buffet is long gone. And many restaurants are only open on Friday and Saturday. In the rooms stains accumulate and age has taken its toll. The slot machines don't seem to be changed out as much, many of the buttons don't work and their variety has been reduced. And to top it off I and others have noticed that the slots aren't as loose as they used to be. A lot of the enjoyment is lost with play after play with no payout at all, fewer bonuses and free spins and smaller payouts on the infrequent bonuses/free spins.

My stay was horrible. I did not even stay the whole night. Rooms are dated and there is a stale smell in the hallway and rooms. The bathrooms shower was not clean. Asked for another room. Tub had hair in it. Used to stay here years ago and it was a beautiful upscale Caesar's property. Now, looks like a ghost town.

We arrived around 10pm and went to the Casino. The service was absolutely the worst! We tipped our bar girl 20.00 twice and we got 5 beers and she disappeared. When I one a jackpot it took 30 minutes for someone to come take care of me. We then went to get a room and the lady at the desk was RUDE!! We explained our situation with the casino and she told us it was not her problem and we would have to take it up with the casino manager. We get to our room and hear water running and it was the toilet. We had to fix it ourselves. Also the bathroom floor was sticky and the cabinet had not been cleaned! I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy!

Entire hotel smells like a mix of cigar and weed smoke. Even a non-smoking room smells of smoke bad. Room was not clean. Hair all over the floor and in shower. Simply a nasty place to stay. Never again for me. 🤮

Had a great experience! I didn't win big but I won often. Service was good ,if I needed anything I was taken care of within 5 minutes. Casino was clean and organized,. Even though you can smoke( good thing) I wasn't overpowered but smell of smoke. Plenty of machines & good parking .

We stayed here two separate times. Affordable rooms, free drinks as long as you gambling, parking is convenient. We enjoyed the 8oz burger restaurant. Fried green tomatoes were delicious. Hotel has all the amenities. Highly recommend anyone traveling through to visit here.

We had a great time we actually should have stayed at the casino and ate instead of leaving everything we needed was there. We ate at all restaurants and they weer awesome especially Port and company. We actually initially booked because we heard about the jacuzzi tub and it did not disappoint. The catch is that you have to book a premium room but it was worth every penny. The only issue we had was that they still smoke everywhere. We stank and actually needed the tub. I think Shreveport Casinos are non smoking now we just assumed that bossier was the same. Overall it was a great experience. Maintenance was also awesome they came to fix the stopper on our tub at 3 am.

This hotel/casino is located right off the highway and super easy to get to. They offer complimentary valet parking for guests of the hotel. The staff are all really nice and helped us with not only things related to the hotel but also with things around town. There’s karaoke on Thursday nights and on the weekends they have a club, and all kinds of things. We ate at the 8 oz Burger restaurant and it was DELICIOUS! The rooms are clean, SPACIOUS, smell nice, have beautiful views of the river, and the beds are super comfy! Definitely recommend this hotel.

So, this was my first time at this hotel. I will definitely be coming back real soon. The service was top notch. The rooms were nice, the servers were excellent. It was an all around awesome experience for me. The food was ok, could have been better but it was ok. It's a definite must go back again for me.

Honestly, I avoid this place at all cost. The first and ONLY TIME that I went to Horseshoe, while playing slots, I was approached by three different people asking if "I could put them in the game." It's my personal preference not to have people asking me for money while I am at a casino trying to relax and enjoy myself... but that's just me. The location is convenient and close to the Boardwalk, and on the way out, my wife had a waffle cone and I had a bowl of ice cream, from the shop located inside. I LOVE ICE CREAM, so that alone gained a star back in the service area. Also, the million-dollar-wall made out of 10000 actual one hundred dollar bills was quite impressive.

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary. The check in was great we upgraded to a jacuzzi room for only 16.00$ more. I thought that was a great price. Our room was huge, clean, and bed was comfy. The jacuzzi was AWESOME. All the staff were extremely helpful and nice. The burger place on the first floor was awesome. The band in the bar was awesome. Thank you Horseshoes staff. We had a fabulous time and will be staying here again.

Have stayed here twice. The place has seen some years. It could desperately use some renovating. And that's the good part. Two years running I've constantly felt like I've inconvenienced staff by asking them to do their job. I walked in the sports book at 9PM (they closed at 10), and the bartender wouldn't make eye contact. It was apparently too close to closing to give me a beer. They don't open the sports book until 10 AM regardless of events like March Madness. And then when they do, the staff is totally overwhelmed by the people to the point of annoyance at customers. And more than half of the betting machines were broken. And yes, the sports book will definitely be closed when games are still playing. So then you end up cashing out via the casino floor cages. Just hope your ticket scans, because the staff will require a pit Boss, a floor manager and a midnight call to the director of the sports book to get them to key in the ticket manually. Yes, that definitely happened to me. All to the chorus I've "I don't do that, I just scan it". This place made me sympathetic to the plight of Boomers and Karens everywhere.

We made this the last stop of our Louisiana adventure. Awesome, welcoming staff, nice hotel, beautiful view out our riverview room, and ended up hitting a slot for $500 off of $20. Not a bad way to end the trip at all. Can't remember the name of the restaurant we went to but the buger I had was one of the best I've ever had. My only complaint of the entire experience was the smell of the room. I realize it was a smoking room but it literally smelled like they rounded up every ashtray off the casino floor, placed them all in a damp trash bag, and then hid them somewhere in the room. We went out and grabbed air freshener just to attempt to mask the smell a little.

Clean everywhere (parking garage, lobby area, gaming area, hotel room,etc.). Staff members were polite & helpful when needed. Large room & comfortable bed. We will stay here when we come back to town.

Super sight to see. Quite beautiful at night. Easy assess to popular restaurants. Margaritaville casino is at the end of the board walk. Every shop we went into, the people was friendly and helpful. All in all not a bad place to chill! There was hardly any foot traffic. Really enjoyed it. Highly recommend.

This is my second time visiting this place, while traveling cross country, and I can tell you that the first time I was here I enjoyed it much more than this trip. There was much more enjoyment, and there was more people in the boardwalk. I actually didn’t wanna leave, however well visiting this trip I felt like I was the only one in the boardwalk, the streets and stores were empty and there was only a few a few stores open And out of those few stores that are opened the majority of them were racist towards me and they also lacked the variety of options or so. The employees told me that they didn’t have anything available.

I absolutely enjoyed my time at the Louisiana Boardwalk Outlets! The area is beautiful and there is plenty to do with shopping, eating, and entertainment options. The movie theater and casino are within walking distance, and there are a few restaurants nearby. I definitely recommend visiting this spot if you're in the area!

I enjoy the beautiful views at night while walking, I just wish they had better parking. There is plenty of retailers to choose from, but I suggest the candy shop (great selection of saltwater taffy and various flavored sodas, including a wide variety of not-so-common rootbeers). Bass Pro Shop is always awesome- stop by and check out the live alligators directly in front of the store. (Yes, they are in an enclosure). Not to worry, if you find yourself getting hungry- Saltgrass is stationed on the point, overlooking the Red River along with other choice dining options availableas well. Got an itch for some gaming? Margaritaville Resort and Casino hosts this entire compex- located on the the same property. You will discover breath-taking views from the casino resort rooms, along with plenty of fun and dining options located on the ground floor. (The shrimp pasta and short rib are my personal favorites at Dragos). I definitely recommend visiting, whether you're a local, or an out-of-towner. It's just good fun, with something for the whole family.

Place is nice to have a walk, most stores were closed early. Missing energy. The view of the River/Bridge is nice, but nothing else to do. For a small city, it's ok. There are bunch of restaurants but nothing special. Hooters, 3 Amigos and other local businesses. Sushi restaurant was surprisingly good. Good place for Sushi

I love to just go there and take pictures and see the river and just chill out n look at all the neat buildings on both sides of the river.

I was excited to arrive during my first visit. Firstly, the alligators caught my attention, followed by the restaurants. There were a lot of cars in parking spaces, but I didn't see a lot of foot traffic. Secondly, several stores were vacant. Therefore, outlet very good for walking, but not enough stores for shopping.

Interesting place to see. Great number of shops to visit. You can also take trolly. We didn't see it, but the tracks are there. You can also see the river. It is connected to Bass Pro Shop. It is near all the casinos.

Nice little area with shops, food and close to casinos. I was warned not to be out passed 10pm/dusk as crime can be a problem. The area is in need of more shops and I was told that the shops the come typically do not stay long. If you are in the area looking for something it is worth the trip to go down to the boardwalk. My favorite store was Bass Pro Shops which was having some good sale items at the time.

The room was only half clean, there was dust all around the sink and the mini fridge just sat on the floor.. The pool was closed and is going to remain closed this year, advertisement says 3 restaurants in casino only 2 were open and the casino closed at 9pm. Now all that wouldn't bother me if the rooms Didn't cost $200 a night, for that price I expected nice not just a over inflated hotel 6. I can say that the beds were comfortable though.

I had a amazing stay! The hotel front desk were so friendly and assisted me with all my needs when asked. Mr Charles was extremely polite and professional when checking me in! The housekeeping staff was also amazing! Whenever I needed or asked for anything they were on it. Mr. Torian and Ms. Lashanta (not sure of the correct spelling) were always polite and helpful. Lastly the food from Boomers Cafe was always hot and delicious! Kim, Steven, Gavin, and the whole staff were great. Definitely will stay again.

I stood and watched my friend gamble on two occasions. He said this was his favorite place in our area. I'm not big on casinos but it seemed clean, friendly, and staff went out of the way to be helpful. Parking was easy.

Stay here frequently. The king rooms and suites are wonderful! Elegant and comfortable with style and class. However, the double rooms are less desirable as they seem to have a little less class and elegance. Overall I definitely recommend a weekend here to relax, have fun or just escape the outside world for a little while!

This is one of the older Casino hotels in the area with a friendly staff. I would say the 1800 Prime Restaurant is the best part about it. Amazing food. Also, Snacks & drinks are available to purchase by the front desk. This casino has 3 levels to play on, mainly slots... not many table games to choose from. The best room to get is a Deluxe King w/ the Jacuzzi Tub :)

Boomtown Bossier never disappoints! Their Casino is the best in town! They have a great selection of slots and table games, a very generous Player's Club/Rewards Program, super nice facilities, and the employees/staff are top notch. I have so much fun every time I visit Boomtown. Check out the slots on the upper level of the casino-my personal favorite.

I had a great time playing video poker at Boomtown Casino! The staff was friendly and helpful, the machines were well-maintained, and the atmosphere was very relaxed. The bottom floor bartender is literally an angel. She remembered I needed I needed diet for my Long Island without telling her and then walked to the other end of the casino and personally returned my phone to me when I left it on her bar top.

Always a great time. Some rooms could use a revamp. But each room has been nice. Onsite restaurants are great! Staff aims to please. Good luck on the boat!!

I left my portable mobile phone charger plugged in the outlet charging in 207 and called them the next day to get it back. There was no report by housekeeping of it being left in the room. I was there not to gamble, but I attended my mother's memorial service and I just can't express enough my disappointment in this business. I suggest you screen your employees more, coming into work and leaving. I should've filled out a police report, but I will let God handle 🙏.

Thank you to the rude security officer and inhospitable front desk clerk for making this short stay at Boomtown Hotel and Casino in Bossier City quite memorable. I am a retired middle school teacher who would never cause a disruption, but I was removed from the lobby for sitting there to avoid the unbearable heat in the guest room. It would appear that the staff thought that the heat might mitigate a mold and mildew issue. I also found that they only provide towel service for two even though the room is posted as accommodating four people.

We travel through the area at least once a year on our way to Visit family. And always stay at one of the casino, this was our first time staying at boomtown and probably won't stay again. Room was very dated and could have has some more attention paid to it during cleaning. AC didn't work worth a damn but we check in late when we got into town and was ready to get some sleep. We will probably continue staying at the other casinos.

If time would have allowed, I would have happily stayed for more than one night. The room was nice, big, and clean, and the jacuzzi was absolutely divine. My husband also managed to win a pretty penny in the casino, which never happens, lol, so that was a nice bonus. We definitely plan on staying again as soon as we get a chance.

We took a quick trip to Boomtown over the weekend which was really fun. We go once or twice a year just for a weekend getaway. They were really busy we played a few slot machines but roulette was our favorite! We will definitely be back!

Always a fun time, slot payouts are decent, I wish they would do away with the indoor smoking. That smell of old stale cigarettes is so nasty, but the drink servers and people who pay hand pays are always on point. The parking garage could use a overhaul

We came to Shreveport for the Derby and decided to stay through Labor Day at the last minute. We always enjoy staying here at Boomtown even though it may not be the newest or most prestige It's a comfortable, convenient, and friendly environment plus the grounds and parking are the best in my opinion. This trip was no exception to the fun and comfort we are accustomed to experiencing. But there is one employee I would like to acknowledge for her willingness to go above and beyond and the professionalism and kindness she has displayed and that is Katie I am not sure if she is the manager or what but I tell you she is really a pleasure and she is such a asset to Boomtowns hotel and the guest who she has the opportunity to care for. I hope she stays around and we get to see her in our future visits. I also want to note the slots are always good to us also. If we go home broke it's our own fault!! Labor Day 2023

Getting on and off I-20 was easy. Rooms were extremely outdated. Cloth ceiling and had stains. Bed was almost on the floor. And didn't get the room I booked.

We stay here quiet a bit when we come. We love the service as well as 1800 prime. The rooms are usually pretty good and well cleaned. This time however we got room 212 and that room was terrible from what we usually get from them. The bed was the worst from the lumpy uncomfortable mattress to the flat pillows. This is also the first time we've ever had a dirty room. It wasn't too bad just a dusty desk and the jacuzzi tub was dirty as well. The TV was also messed up in this room. Had several bright white spots on the screen when trying to watch. We didn't watch it too much so it wasn't too bad but all this definitely isn't the standards we usually get while staying here.

Great place. Very comfortable, very nice rooms. Would recommend and definitely will come again. Casino has lots of slots to choose from and has multiple card tables as well as Texas Holdem tournament play. Trying my luck there tonight. Wish me luck!

This review is divided between the hotel & casino. So the room gets a 3.5 and the Casino a 2.5. Boomtown will need to step it up when their competition opens next door. The casino portion was less than inspiring & no I didn't lose. I didn't even play because it was just so dingy & surprisingly small. Also the only restaurant on site was closed but it was Sunday. The room was nice enough - quiet and clean which are both a plus. All of my pictures were taken the morning we checked out & yes I watch The Price is Right and the Christmas decor was well done.

We stayed for a few nights and Boomtown will definitely need to spend some money for upgrades. Room 324 was okay. The weed smell in the elevators and hallways was terrible. Sounded like the workers used the room next to us for their break(party) room at all hours. Casino was outdated. But “Boomers” cafe was Awesome. The best thing in the place. Will never stay there again. Promise

We used to come here a lot before COVID. Was our favorite. Not anymore. Please please stay somewhere else. Anywhere else. First of all, the room smelled like cheap cologne to the point that I had to open the door and turn the fan on. It was really late so I could not change rooms. The mattress is flimsy, the hot tub I paid a lot extra for had not been cleaned and was missing the stopper. Very disgusting. Countertops felt gritty. Everything is outdated and falling apart. It made me want to sleep in my car. I remember the days they would actually clean the room and it didn't stink and they even left you a little rubber ducky. Those days are gone. This place is ghetto and nasty. Don't take your shoes off. I'm still wheezing from the awful smell. 5:00 in the morning there's a guy a few doors down banging on the door and yelling at somebody to let him in. Woke the entire floor up. Total low life people here. Loud music and everything smelled like weed. My husband liked the shampoo they had. The room was nice and large. That's literally it. Oh, and they give you a couple mini water bottles. I can't think of any other positive things.

We went for the ZZ Top Lynyrd Skynyrd Sharp Dressed Simple Man Tour and it was great! The parking is great, well lit and easy to access the venue. There were police to direct traffic upon leaving and things went smoothly. Upon entering we were able went through the scanners very quickly and easily and were able to use our Ticketmaster app to scan our tickets just as quickly. We had floor seats and the only draw back is the seats are small and really pushed close together. I noticed for the larger patrons it was too tight and they were on top of each other. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The lights and sounds for each band was great and the quality was really good. We felt like we had a great experience for the price that we paid. We paid for the premium level seating on the floor in the front. We would definitely come back to the area for a concert. We always felt safe and did not have any problems. Would recommend.

Nice event space... but getting our of the parking lot is a living nightmare . 30 minutes after the show ended I was still in the parking lot trying to leave. My suggestion would be getting a parking person for each parking section All those ppl inside the arena... need to be outside when its time to go!!!

We attended the WWE Saturday Night Main Event. Parking is free which is almost unheard of these days so that was awesome! Entry was quick and easy. Staff and security was everywhere and eager to assist and answer questions. Seats were easy to find. The only complaint was the seats killed my back, but that may not be the case for everyone. Thee seats were wide though, which is a plus. Some arenas have seats so small your literally rubbing the people beside you. Restrooms were very clean as well. Would definitely attend an event in the future!

Attended the Lauren Daigle concert last night. The concert was great, the venue was clean, however... It wasa cluster getting there. We purchased tickets online, when we got to the door, we were told that our seats were moved. We ended up getting sat in a location that was further from the stage than the tickets we paid for. It is what it is show was still amazing, just not as easy to see as our tickets would have been. Another thing was the $18 for the rum drink. That is insane, you would sell way more with a better price point.

Didn't know the name had changed! Last time I was there was to see Lauren Dagel and on 4-20-24 saw Neil Mcoy and Hank Williams Jr. Great show. This arena is so easy to get in and out of. Grounds are always clean and well kept, Always a good experience coming here

We went there for a graduation party. Found out at the location that there are purse restrictions so everyone with a bag wider than 6×9 had to figure out where to leave their bag. God forbid if you did not drive to the location, meant you had no car to leave your purse in. Clearly they are concerned about safety in the arena, which is understood. My question was what are the chances of vars getting broken into in the parking lot, since I did not see any cameras there, yet we were forced to leave our bags in our cars. Just no thought process here. When workers were asked about having attendees notified prior to arriving at the location, everyones response was "I don't know about that". 🙄

We took our 15, and 10 year old to their first concert. We saw, Jelly Roll. It was a beautiful venue, a great show. We will definitely be attending more events here.

I love this arena. I have gone to three events here and I have had better seating each time. I'm planning to go to the next event right now. Better direction to get out the parking lot after events, would be great and it would be great if you could recognize the employees for assistance when needed.

Interesting arena. 1st of all, there was free parking for our event which I have to say was awesome. The walk into the arena was slightly daunting due to distance and some massive stairs you have to navigate in order to reach the entrance. Their could have been an elevator or escalate at another entrance point, but I did not see or notice any. Security was good, and they allowed service dogs. The venue had appropriate food and usher staffing proportional to the people who showed up to the wrestling match, in my opinion.

I’ve been to about 4 events at this arena. It may be the best one in area. Most times it’s a hassle getting to the VIP seats on the ground as there are not many attendants to assist you with your seat location. The seats are barely marked so you have to rely on other people who can potentially be sitting in your seat to tell you the seat number. Most times the floor attendants are very confused if you can find one and don’t carry a flashlight and will oftentimes just point in the general area of your seat. The security barely checks tickets in the front row area, so anyone can just walk up and sit in your seat if you happen to get up to get closer to the stage. I’ve only seen parking lot attendants once, so it can be a nightmare getting out. The drinks are a waste of money as you don’t taste a lick of alcohol in the daiquiris. The sound was only good for 2 out of the 4 shows I’ve been to. For the Isley Brothers concert, they forgot to turn on Ronald Isley’s mic when he first came out. There is definitely room for improvements. One thing I do love is that the shows are cheaper here in comparison to Houston or Dallas.

I went to Brookshire's Grocery Arena this past Friday to participate in the KBB Free Tree Giveaway. This event was said to start at 9 AM, but started a little earlier because so many individuals showed up. Each attendee that arrived was given the choice of one tree per vehicle. I picked out a Schumard Oak. I arrived early and was glad I did. This event was well staffed, well organized, and well planned. The fog was bad and the day was cool, but there wasn't any rain. I enjoyed my visit.

Lauren Daigle is awesome and didn't disappoint us!!! But I wish the volume had been lower. It was so loud, we had a hard time understanding the words to her new songs. Plus some of her volunteers were standing around giggling and talking, very distracting. The show didn't start on time either. But again she is awesome.

Lots of fun got to check out main squeeze when you go it's the best food they have there and it's good for you

The janitorial staff is fantastic and is full of amazing people. I was at NCWA wrestling nationals, and got sick. And they all kept bringing me new trash cans and water, and asking if was OK, and cracking jokes to make me feel better. Whatever they are being paid it's not enough. I truly wish the best for them, because they are all phenomenal people. I hope they are blessed for the rest of their days! If I were a billionaire I would give them all my money.

Casinos are not my thing but the horse racing section was cool to look at. Heavy smell of cigarettes, even when going very early and not many people there, if they had a no smoking gaming section I might have stayed longer but after 30 minutes the smell was killing me :-(

Their new restaurant, The Inside Rail, was very good. The 'Touchdown Platter' appetizer was 9 out of 10 only because the meat pies were more on the bland side. The boudin egg rolls were good, and the chicken tenders were amazing and seasoned to perfection! Of course, one has to try the wings, so we ordered the sweet and sour wings. The sauce was really good. The Philly Cheesesteak sandwich was good, but I would get extra sauce next time. The burger was good as well. For dessert, I opted for the bread pudding, something I don't normally eat, but it was really good as I ate half of it, lol. Overall, I will definitely be back to try out the rest of the menu. I had a gift certificate for my birthday and spent every penny of the $75.

This casino's business model is clear, Pay absolutely nothing out at all costs, That explains why on a Friday night they have 50 people playing. I was told it was a "busy" night 🤣😅 Save your money go on to far nicer casinos just to the west. To the "New" owners (So they said) loosen up your machines , people who can at least play for a while have fun and comeback.

They really don't have enough help to keep the place clean the machines were dirty and the bathrooms were dirty you really couldn't win much on the machines at the low side of the betting play. I did see some folk win. But there no food court at night after 11pm and drinks are hard to get. But I had a good time

Very beautiful horse racing track it was my first time attending Louisiana Downs very Beautiful Inside and no shortage of Automatic betting machine's..

Racing is fun. Drinks are cheap. It's never too packed. Food is great for the price. Best to go on smaller race days...easier to hit the triffectas. Payout is smaller but you won't leave broke. Easy to get in and out. Parking is well laid out. Customer service is A1. Gambling at casino is not worth it unless you're playing with a good bankroll. Good luck and enjoy your day!

This casino is a slum . Service is a joke . Machines are always broken. Food is so low quality but at 5star prices. Spend thousands a week but never receive any promotions . They give free coffee as your reward but coffee shop is never opened. It's not safe shady looking men will follow you to every machine and security does not care to ask them to leave clearly they aren't playing. They have one cocktail server on weekends cash machines are always out of cash. The employees are beyond rude. Not all some are great. The owner is a slumlord because he won't try to improve this casino. He took a decent place an made it a trashy lowgrade unsafe casino. Security is geriatric some use actual walkers . Stay away from here at night It's not worth being followed by schetchy people . Should be a law that police have to be employed at casino at night .I've been gambling there for many many years . And your casino doesn't give anyone anything no freeplay but maybe 2-4 times a month if you're lucky an then it's 5 bucks. I play highlimits 10 a spin most times . I never get anything from casino so I don't bother with a card anymore it's not worth using it anymore. Food is a joke I watched them throw a customers foor back in fried after customer had it at table health hazard 100%. Employees most are unfriendly, just rude. I know and have good relationships with the friendly ones. Bathroom attendees are hiding in there on phone and bathrooms are out of paper ,dirty sad.and the shady men following women around never playing any machine . Waiting to snatch something. Heck 2 security bosses are amazing one is the lady who has since been changed back to her normal shift. And the man who's been security at casinos since day one in 94 /96 . You don't give 2 cents about casino you've been there what 3 maybe 4 times only because gaming board had issues. You play no music it's quiet people want music fun,energy being a dealer since 96 customers want friendly service. They are giving hard earned money and want to be treated like they pay your bills . After all they do to a point. Comp your loyal customers. And when u have drawings it's always the people who don't gamble just drink an wait to win drawing and it's always one not the actual gamblers . We go to a good casino now where they show thanks

This place is horrible, the comps are next to none, they don't have a bar,they hardly have any one serving drinks, you might as well throw you money in the trash can if you decide to gamble here. And to top it off they closed the truck parking, which is a very big no no ,truck drivers are the backbone of America why would you not offer them a place to rest and maybe have a little fun. I don't advise anyone to go here, it would be best to let this place die away,IT,,,IS,,,,HORRIBLE.

We had a fantastic day at the races. This was the first time for my wife & daughter @ Louisiana Downs. I had visited about 2 years ago & talk about upgrades! I love that Fudrucker's is still alive and well inside & of course they added a casino. We came for the exotic animal races - a Memorial Day weekend tradition. Great fun and we even won a little.

Nice but not enough action. It was dead. But the waitress was great. The cleaning staff was very nice. The restroom was clean and smelled good.

Went in to play a few slots, watch some football, eat, and drink some beers. Well the slots went OK but the machine that cashes your ticket out doesn't dispense coins, that's old fashioned. Sat down at the sportsbar. Cassandra brought me a beer and a menu. Football starts and I can view 8 televisions so I should have many game options. Nope! They only have 1 game available to watch. I was shocked. This place is a casino, horse racing track, a sportsbook, but they only have access to 1 football game. Unbelievable! Ordered food which was alright. Cassandra was awesome but the management needs to figure things out.

Food options are minimal, prices were decent, restrooms were in disarray to put it kindly. But track and ease of betting earned it some points. March 8 during the Futurity Trails. first floor entrance RR and second Floor stands RR.

Enjoy watching the races. Would be better if there were more horses competing. At times there have been only 5 or 6. In the past there has been more live entertainment on weekends. Also. LAD had fireworks for New Years and the 4th of July. These have been abandoned. They are under new management and they have plans to add more services that will improve the experience

The lady that checked us in was rude. The bed was awful, uncomfortable, and felt like laying on concrete... The view out of the window was of the roof of the next building... There someone's hair in the hair dryer... Needless TO say, we booked for 2 nights and only stayed one night... What a heck of a birthday!!!! Home Sweet Home.....

A nightmare: Bed Bugs, filth, blood stains, and just absolutely disgusting rooms. The stay at this hotel was the worst experience that I have ever encountered in the hospitality industry, ever. Upon arrival, we waited nearly an hour in line, just to be checked in. ?We were initially provided the wrong room number, and had to return to the lobby, to have it corrected. Once we arrived to the room, we noticed that there was an overwhelming smell of marajuana, that you could smell before even opening the door. We entered the room, and found immediately that the smell of smoke was coming from the bathroom. We then proceeded into the room to put our bags down, in order to go and notify the staff. We immediately saw that the carpet was filthy with large black hard crusted spots all over the floor. The bed nearest the window, alone with the chair next to it had huge partially dried blood stains. We left the room immediately to return to the lobby, and ask for management. The manager was non-empathetic rolled her eyes and provided a key to a different room. She did not apologize, nor did she seem surprised. The second room was even more of a nightmare. It too had the 13' -20' 90's style box television. The room was again, completely disgusting. The floor was filthy, there were blood and bodily fluid stains all over the mattresses/boxs springs, the ice bin was filthy, the iron was missing pieces, there was cigarettes and ashes swept into the corners, and hidden under the bed skirts...the chairs had brown stains, and worst of all, a large bed bug came out, and crawled across the first bed. We managed to capture it in the water bottle left in the room, to notify management of the infestation. We attempted to call the lobby, but the phone did not work. Disgusted, and upset, we took photos, and went to the manager immediately. Once again she had a nasty attitude, that matched the nastiness of the rooms that we encountered. She rolled her eyes, stated that there is nothing she could do, as bed bugs are "common there". There was no empathy, compensation offered, apology, nor was she phased by the servere magnitude of the health and safety violations. We did not want anything free, we just wanted to leave, as we knew our health was in danger in such a bio-hazardous environment. I would not even recommend for a wild animal to stay here, and believe this place should be condemned.

we came to unwind, so we did. this place might need an upgrade but overall our stay was decent. the morning crew were super nice compared the one during the night though😉

Ok for the price. Definitely needs updated and Isle of Capri decor changed. Casino was fun and food was good. Overall the experience for my first time staying overnight was ok. If you want a more modern and classy place then this is not the place to go.

Visited the buffet twice. The $9.99 buffett was ok, you get what you pay for. DJ was serving mashed potatoes, pizza, egg rolls, tilapia, corndog nuggets. The catfish, okra, baked chicken, and made-to-order shrimp/chicken pasta was good. The desserts, cooks, and waitress were great! The second visit was for the all you can eat crayfish. She got her crayfish for a decent price per pound so it was worth it for her. I don't eat crayfish so the buffet selection was a little underwhelming for the same price, but I was ok as long as my wife enjoyed herself & she got crawfish.

The Saturday dinner buffet was delicious!! I was promptly greeted by cashier “Beverly” who was both courteous & friendly, making me feel very welcome. I don’t really personally care for steak. I did endulge in the fried fish, shrimp, egg rolls and fried chicken. I do also recommend the pizza and hush puppies. Don’t forget about dessert. I had this chocolate mouse with Oreo and caramel... It was so good, it prevented me from getting another dessert. There’s always next time. “Rachel” was my server and was good with keeping my glass filled & plates cleared. My only dislike is my lack of cell signal and no available WiFi network. Otherwise it was GREAT!!

Wooow this place is soooooo out dated. Rooms are clean but like from the late 80's. The bathroom shower had so much mold in it that I was scared. The casino it self is like someone throwing a house party and saying it's a casino party. Note to owner, update your facility.

Nice, quiet, peaceful natural area just outside of the city. Numerous well maintained walking/running trails in pretty environment. Lots of birds and nice lookouts. Recommend for day out with kids.

We discovered the refuge during covid when there was nothing else to do. We still like to go walk the trails even though society has reopened. We like to go early in the mornings, when it's a little cooler. If it's not duck breeding season, *(June-July) you can walk to the other side of the pond and have a little picnic. There's no trash can, so be prepared to carry your trash out. You can pick up other people's trash too if you happen to see any. There are plenty of benches and some educational materials to read along the way. It's a great way to spend a morning.

The smell is amazing. Quiet. Best place ever to destress. This is still the best place to escape your crazy family. Lol

Stopped by here for a lunch break and a nice quiet little walk. And even it being rather cold out I still saw a water snake 🐍 very cool!

Awesome wildlife refuge, a great mix of maintained walking paths with proper landscaping and shelter for the animals.

I went here and walked for a long time today. The main trails had great views and there were even trails off of the main path that were closer to the river. The trails go on for miles through the woods and alongside the river. It was quiet and serene. Overall, great facility and I will come here again!

This was an amazing find on our part. Recently got into biking and our first day out we discovered this place. There are several trails to walk or ride bikes down at this park and everything is well maintained. When you get off in the trails it's very peaceful. There's benches scattered along the trails for you to sit and enjoy the peace and quiet.

This is such a gem! I love all the hiking trails and educational resources. They offer a variety of different nature centered education classes (free or paid!) Not to mention I love the concept of the nature play area for kids! This is a beautiful area that you could easily spend hours at!

Nice place for weekend getaway. Nice in city experience a little o natural stuck between Barksdale Airbase and an Oxbow Lake Caroline and the Red River on Bossier City side of the river from Shreveport.Ample wildlife and trails of different quality abound!.It has a nature center and fifth shop all with Nature in mind.Perfect educational facilities for young children and playgrounds. This gorgeous park saved me from a horrible day of boredom in Bossier City. No one there, birds abound, perfect trails. Can’t wait to hide there on my next trip. Don’t forget to bring water - they don’t sell any there and the office closes at 5!

Me and my girls LOVE going here and going on the numerous different adventures (trails) each time! If you visit the VISITOR area in the front, you can get a map and plan out your adventures! Really recommend to anyone with children! They even have a play area made out of the different things you find in nature along with a treehouse they built for the kids to play in! Also, as you walk the trail, if you’ll look to the sides you can pick blackberries all up and down the trail. Seriously, amazing place to visit.

We Thoroughly enjoyed our visit! We went to see an exhibit of local artists and were impressed with the variety of talent.

Shreveport-Bossier has wonderful support for the arts community--I love taking my granddaughter to The Bossier Arts Council. She can't wait to visit the Little Art House. I also attend a group that meets monthly there. The facility is beautiful and the staff are incredible. Check it out!

Fun place to visit

I stayed for my Birthday Weekend. I know nothing is free, buttt I didn’t receive anything complimentary what so ever. Since it was a weekend, the room was over 200$ for one night. Their was a fake eyelash just laying in the open, like come on, they HAD to see that if they Actually cleaned it. The ladies serving drinks were so rude. Me being the kind of person I am, I always tip. One lady even poked a whole in the bottom of my cup, and it leaked All over me. The only people at the Hotel/Casino were pretty much the cleaning people. They were so nice, and friendly, very helpful when I did need something brought to my Room!!! The lady that checks your ID at the Casino Entrance, is the Rudest of them All!!! I honestly will never be back there because of her look and attitude. It cost nothing to smile and be nice. So yeah they need help here!

The first thing we encountered when pulling up to the Valet area was an overflowing trash can with trash on the ground beside it. Not a great first impression. Check in was good but it took them 3 tries (with me going up to the room and back down) to get my key cards correct. Our room was fine - just dated. Could use some upgrading. The gaming floor was O.K., beverage service was slow because they are understaffed. There were a lot of people sitting in the chairs in front of slot machines not gambling. Just taking up space. Lots of newer slot machines - we actually came home with money. The broken escalators put a strain on the one elevator. The band playing Saturday night, The Crowd, was fantastic. All in all, a great trip.

I wish 0 stars was an option… considering we weren’t even able to stay here! We were basically kicked out with NO HELP & blatant disrespect from the front desk guy. It was 1AM and the room was paid for in advance over the phone with the reservations department. The lady told us there would be a hold on the card we used to pay, but never once mentioned that we would need to present this card at check in with an ID that matches & that person had to physically be there. My husband and I are aware of protocols, however, we were using my mom’s card for our hotel & we did have a picture of her ID. It would’ve been nice if we were told this before we drove 7 hrs to stay here. It also would’ve been nice if the guy at the front desk could’ve offered us options and helped us out, but we were given absolutely no information. We had to ask him if we were going to be refunded and his response was “Yep”. ABSOLUTELY no respect. We had to continue driving an hour to a hotel in TX, while exhausted from driving all day. The hotel in TX saved us and went above and beyond to offer ways for my mom to send in a credit card authorization form + a picture of her ID. It was as simple as that. I guess everything really is bigger + better in TX… employee’s respect toward customers + going above and beyond to help others out goes a long way! I DON’T RECOMMEND HORSESHOE HOTEL AT ALL!!

The hotel room was nice. We got a complimentary upgrade to a suite when we checked-in. All of the staff we talked with were extremely friendly. There is a pizza place that has the best brick oven pizza. The slot machines don't pay out if you are looking to win. We ended up going to another casino to play and won money there. It is a nice hotel but next time I will be staying at a different casino, so I can experience all of them in that area.

I was impressed. The casino was immaculate, the drinks (alcohol included) were free, the restaurants were awesome, the rooms were impeccable!! I can't believe how nice it was. My stay at the Horseshoe felt GRAND! The decor in this place is impressive! A beautiful experience! Will definitely be back!

A real mix. Rooms are very tired. Steakhouse is exceptional. Seafood restaurant is unforgivably bad serving raw or overcooked but never right. Cooks are rude. Ashley is the one shining star. Customer facing employees like dealers and front desk staff are loud, dismissive, rude, and inattentive but cleaning and security staff are very nice. Overall it's not worth visiting if you have other options. And let's not talk about the daily resort fee. For what?? This isn't a resort by any stretch and what they do have you must pay for, so again, for what?

I've always loved the Horseshoe. The staff is laid back and they let you enjoy yourself without being too visible. Drinks are free while you're gambling so that's a big plus. Parking is easy too. You can win a little if you know what you're doing. Bossier City has a lot to offer you if you just want to have some fun.

I went here New Years Eve. I had a BBQ pork grilled cheese sandwich with fries and a couple of Bud Lights at the grill and bar across the corridor from the noodle place. It was spectacular! And the waitress was very nice and took great care of me. I left her a big tip and then went straight to the casino! I wandered around for about an hour before landing at a high card flush table. I was new to this game, but it was very easy to learn. After a couple of hours of playing the dealer dealt me a hand of 6 clubs out of the 7 cards I was dealt! That landed me $550!! Later in the evening I found a $1 slot machine i wanted to try. And BAM!! Another $180!! I walked out of the Horseshoe that night with a little over $700!! Happy New Years To Me!!

Place was really clean and smelt good. The rooms were better than expected. Even the hallways to the rooms were nice. The casino was pretty good. Our dealer Timothy was the best! Hands down!! If you have a chance please eat at binon's steakhouse. That place is so freaking good. Little expensive, but well worth it.

As someone from the Shreveport-Bossier area I’ve always heard this place was really nice, but I am so disappointed after my stay. The hotel part has definitely gone downhill. The casino part itself is nice and fun with lots of drinks and also restaurants, but the rooms were so bad. They were just gross. The carpet was so sticky in some spots that our shoes would get stuck. There were crumbs and items from the last guests left on the floor. The bathtub was huge and looked so nice.. but had yellow gunk on the rim. It wasn’t staining, it was some sticky liquid that I could wipe off that they obviously didn’t clean. I’ve stayed in beaten up motels off the interstate that had better standards of cleaning than this place. Not worth the price and I would not pay for lodging here again.

Trailer park clientele with chandeliers and marble floors ambience. If you like the smell of cigarette smoke and lukewarm showers, you’ll love the room accommodations. “Round the clock Complimentary” valet provided, unfortunately, I don’t have any compliments there either, due to the fact I had a 7am flight and there was no service at 5:30am, bc the valet slept in…or something. We won’t be returning.

Come in to cool off and play. Played $200 in an hour. Had to chase wait staff around to get a drink. Out of 4 waitress on the 3rd and 1st floor. They were extremely rude. I'll take my money to a bar and get more for it. And I was tipping $4. It was an act of congress to get even 2 drinks. Standing at ATM going to play some more. When the 3rd waitress was extremely rude again and I just left. Thank you for saving me more money

Still no buffets in casinos here, dang! However, this casino is amazing! We had actually booked our room at Margaritaville for Thanksgiving for 3 nights. What a mistake. We ended up coming here during the day. Horseshoe has great morale, and great music! You can feel a difference in the air. Slots were great. They had 3 floors of slots. A real bar, and great restaurants. I’d recommend this for visitors for sure.

For our very first, and fortunately for us, our last stay at this location, our visit was all but pathetic from start to finish. Upon arrival, our reservation was not shown in the system. We were told that we had to show a confirmation. We showed it and were given a room. We parked in the parking garage and carried and pulled all of our items to the elevator. We were informed that there were no carts for people to use for luggage. Immediately upon arriving at the elevator, we were overwhelmed with the odor of marijuana. We went up to our room and were met with a slightly run down appearance of a room. We then noticed no microwave and no coffee pot and a refrigerator that wasn’t working. Maintenance came and fixed the refrigerator. We unpacked and went to the elevator and again was overwhelmed with the odor of marijuana. We went to the casino and was met with several individuals that appeared to not want to be there. The first was the bartender on the second level. I walked up and was looking around. He and four other coworkers were talking and cutting up. I was asked “is there something you need?” I asked if there was anything frozen. He said “it’s right here” and pointed at the daiquiri machine. I asked if I could have a daiquiri. Without another word, he made one pushed it toward me and turned around and walked away and started talking with the co workers again. We went to play on the machines. We played for over an hour and a half and no one walked around to serve any drinks. The server was one of those at the the bar talking. I went back and asked if I could get another drink. The bartender once again acted as if I was bothering him, stated “no, you need to wait and get served at the machine.” I told him no one was coming and he said “you need to wait.” I walked away. I asked to speak to the supervisor and told her about what was going on. She said she was sorry about what was happening and would have to look at the cameras to confirm my story. After playing, we went back to the elevator and once again was overwhelmed with the odor of marijuana. Every single time during our stay, the elevators and immediate areas smelled very strongly of marijuana. Very sickening. Not once, not twice but every single time. Staff cared less about it as we told them and they said they knew and we were told that nothing could be done. I advised that it was nauseating smelling it. We were told to pick different elevator cars if it bothered us too much. We were here for three days and experienced issues everyday. On top of the ridiculous cost for what you get for staying here, they tack on a $20 per day resort fee. A WHAT? FOR WHAT? Never again will we stay at this location. It did not live up to the name it carries. It was bad!

Be careful they will double charge, and say they don't see the charge, but I just got off the phone with my bank and they have charged $530 extra (i had 2 separate charges). And can't get ahold of anyone who can fix it. Other than spending $1,169 for 3 nights and a scooter rental. It was great. I hope we can get our money back.

Rooms were very nice. Spacious, clean, quiet. Huge tub and spacious bathroom. Lots of food options in house but being a casino expect $20+ per person. We had the 8oz burger bar that was excellent. Didn't spend much time in the casino side. It van be a bit of a sensory nightmare with the smells, the loud music, and all the things going on but if that doesn't bother you it's a nice place to stay right off i20.

My wife ordered our room online. We paid around$80+. We Horseshoe was our choice as we had stayed there before. This time, we were extremely disappointed. The living area was OK, but she needs an update. The bed!!! Ugh. The mattress has been on the bed for so long that there are body cavities on each side of the bed. I woke up as sore as if I had worked out. The linens were old, with stains and holes in them. I had a very early Dr. appointment at the v.a; so I showered the night before. The bathroom was gross. It did not appear as though it had been thoroughly cleaned in a while. I observed what looked to be tiny mold spots on the grout lines. I rubbed one with a wash cloth, and the spot came off. I hope it wasn't mold. The bathroom floor simply was not clean. I made a towel walkway so my wife could walk to the bathroom. She refused to shower in the tub. I could easily deal with most of the issues but cannot deal with unclean.

My fiancé and I stayed at the Horseshoe last night for our three year anniversary! We had the most amazing night! Our room was perfect and our view was beautiful. Our bed was comfortable, though we weren’t in the room long. The bath tub was huge and the water was nice and hot. We also loved the casino! We spent almost all night down there. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. Everyone was friendly and helpful(staff and guests)! Thank y’all for the absolute wonderful stay! We can’t wait to come back!!

It's sad when you can visually see the effects of the pandemic even in December of 2022 stores closed, venues not being used. This place should be hopping with liveliness and excitement. I hope you make a comeback. If the machines and tables are full with players then the other parts should have exude the appeal

The room was spacious, and the tub was huge! The water pressure was great! Our room was clean and in good repair. My only complaint was that you could only add two devices to the wifi and the wifi was just so-so. One of the best rooms I've stayed in at this price point.

On the plus side most of the staff are as friendly as ever. However, the accommodations and amenities have gone downhill over the last many years that I have been visiting this place. Although Covid restrictions are long gone in most sane places, the toll it has taken on this establishment are long lasting. Coffee machines in rooms are still absent and rooms no longer receive maid service every day. The buffet is long gone. And many restaurants are only open on Friday and Saturday. In the rooms stains accumulate and age has taken its toll. The slot machines don't seem to be changed out as much, many of the buttons don't work and their variety has been reduced. And to top it off I and others have noticed that the slots aren't as loose as they used to be. A lot of the enjoyment is lost with play after play with no payout at all, fewer bonuses and free spins and smaller payouts on the infrequent bonuses/free spins.

My stay was horrible. I did not even stay the whole night. Rooms are dated and there is a stale smell in the hallway and rooms. The bathrooms shower was not clean. Asked for another room. Tub had hair in it. Used to stay here years ago and it was a beautiful upscale Caesar's property. Now, looks like a ghost town.

We arrived around 10pm and went to the Casino. The service was absolutely the worst! We tipped our bar girl 20.00 twice and we got 5 beers and she disappeared. When I one a jackpot it took 30 minutes for someone to come take care of me. We then went to get a room and the lady at the desk was RUDE!! We explained our situation with the casino and she told us it was not her problem and we would have to take it up with the casino manager. We get to our room and hear water running and it was the toilet. We had to fix it ourselves. Also the bathroom floor was sticky and the cabinet had not been cleaned! I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy!

Entire hotel smells like a mix of cigar and weed smoke. Even a non-smoking room smells of smoke bad. Room was not clean. Hair all over the floor and in shower. Simply a nasty place to stay. Never again for me. 🤮

Had a great experience! I didn't win big but I won often. Service was good ,if I needed anything I was taken care of within 5 minutes. Casino was clean and organized,. Even though you can smoke( good thing) I wasn't overpowered but smell of smoke. Plenty of machines & good parking .

We stayed here two separate times. Affordable rooms, free drinks as long as you gambling, parking is convenient. We enjoyed the 8oz burger restaurant. Fried green tomatoes were delicious. Hotel has all the amenities. Highly recommend anyone traveling through to visit here.

We had a great time we actually should have stayed at the casino and ate instead of leaving everything we needed was there. We ate at all restaurants and they weer awesome especially Port and company. We actually initially booked because we heard about the jacuzzi tub and it did not disappoint. The catch is that you have to book a premium room but it was worth every penny. The only issue we had was that they still smoke everywhere. We stank and actually needed the tub. I think Shreveport Casinos are non smoking now we just assumed that bossier was the same. Overall it was a great experience. Maintenance was also awesome they came to fix the stopper on our tub at 3 am.

This hotel/casino is located right off the highway and super easy to get to. They offer complimentary valet parking for guests of the hotel. The staff are all really nice and helped us with not only things related to the hotel but also with things around town. There’s karaoke on Thursday nights and on the weekends they have a club, and all kinds of things. We ate at the 8 oz Burger restaurant and it was DELICIOUS! The rooms are clean, SPACIOUS, smell nice, have beautiful views of the river, and the beds are super comfy! Definitely recommend this hotel.

So, this was my first time at this hotel. I will definitely be coming back real soon. The service was top notch. The rooms were nice, the servers were excellent. It was an all around awesome experience for me. The food was ok, could have been better but it was ok. It's a definite must go back again for me.

Honestly, I avoid this place at all cost. The first and ONLY TIME that I went to Horseshoe, while playing slots, I was approached by three different people asking if "I could put them in the game." It's my personal preference not to have people asking me for money while I am at a casino trying to relax and enjoy myself... but that's just me. The location is convenient and close to the Boardwalk, and on the way out, my wife had a waffle cone and I had a bowl of ice cream, from the shop located inside. I LOVE ICE CREAM, so that alone gained a star back in the service area. Also, the million-dollar-wall made out of 10000 actual one hundred dollar bills was quite impressive.

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary. The check in was great we upgraded to a jacuzzi room for only 16.00$ more. I thought that was a great price. Our room was huge, clean, and bed was comfy. The jacuzzi was AWESOME. All the staff were extremely helpful and nice. The burger place on the first floor was awesome. The band in the bar was awesome. Thank you Horseshoes staff. We had a fabulous time and will be staying here again.

Have stayed here twice. The place has seen some years. It could desperately use some renovating. And that's the good part. Two years running I've constantly felt like I've inconvenienced staff by asking them to do their job. I walked in the sports book at 9PM (they closed at 10), and the bartender wouldn't make eye contact. It was apparently too close to closing to give me a beer. They don't open the sports book until 10 AM regardless of events like March Madness. And then when they do, the staff is totally overwhelmed by the people to the point of annoyance at customers. And more than half of the betting machines were broken. And yes, the sports book will definitely be closed when games are still playing. So then you end up cashing out via the casino floor cages. Just hope your ticket scans, because the staff will require a pit Boss, a floor manager and a midnight call to the director of the sports book to get them to key in the ticket manually. Yes, that definitely happened to me. All to the chorus I've "I don't do that, I just scan it". This place made me sympathetic to the plight of Boomers and Karens everywhere.

We made this the last stop of our Louisiana adventure. Awesome, welcoming staff, nice hotel, beautiful view out our riverview room, and ended up hitting a slot for $500 off of $20. Not a bad way to end the trip at all. Can't remember the name of the restaurant we went to but the buger I had was one of the best I've ever had. My only complaint of the entire experience was the smell of the room. I realize it was a smoking room but it literally smelled like they rounded up every ashtray off the casino floor, placed them all in a damp trash bag, and then hid them somewhere in the room. We went out and grabbed air freshener just to attempt to mask the smell a little.

Clean everywhere (parking garage, lobby area, gaming area, hotel room,etc.). Staff members were polite & helpful when needed. Large room & comfortable bed. We will stay here when we come back to town.

Love coming to these types of events. So much to see and a whole gang of things to try. I tried fried pecans for the first time, and they were delicious. I can't wait until the next event.

Sharye's Novelty Soap has the best regular bar soap all hand made as well as novelty soaps like a dog and mermaids, dolphins all made from soap. It's a really Cool place to check out. Every Saturday morning from 9am till 1pm. BOSSIER Farmers Market behind Pierremont Mall. Behind JC Penny's. Go check 'em out. Best place to buy soap. And she's only 15 yrs old.

Went to this market the first time and been begging my husband to take me for a while. I will never go again they clearly don’t vet their vendors out and just want a quick buck. We bought some fresh shrimp from this market. When I got home I was shocked the smell was so bad. You open the bag of shrimps and it yellow slimy and clearly no good. Now clearly the owners know this because they weight out the shrimps and bagged it their self. I just threw it away and when I went on Facebook to let them know they just deleted my comment how typical. Didn’t try to give me vendor information or apologize or anything. Update: (I did comment on you guys page about a post you guys shared about the market. Also if that was the case why when I comment again asking you guys why my comment was deleted why did nobody just comment back and say check your messages? Everybody on Facebook know that if you are not friends with the person that we do not see the message unless we go to message request) I have no reason to lie about anything I have pictures and videos of the rotten shrimps. Also I clearly stated in my post that I did not know the vendor f.b page or contact information. So no I did not leave any information out when I made this review. Also you guys did not message me only the vendor so stop acting like you tried to resolve my issue.

Alana has come to Meadowview Elementary and done some tennis with PE classes and now has opened up tennis lessons for interested students after school. She does a wonderful job with the students. She is trying to introduce tennis to all elementary schools throughout the parish and she is working hard to make sure students are being able to get the opportunity and I think that is awesome. Great Job!!

Excellent public tennis courts. Whenever I pass through Bossier, I stop and play with an old tennis buddy. He plays there on a regular basis and loves the place. The courts and club house are very well kept. Will continue to play there when I'm in town.

Impressive tennis 🎾 center was hosting Louisiana state women's tennis finals. Staff was constantly busy cleaning up, emptying trash bins, and restocking restrooms 🚻.
