I love this lighthouse. You actually get to see where they lived! I am a big lighthouse person and this one was a highlight for me as well as the Calvert maritime museum. A must see!

I have been here a couple of times. The tour is very informative and the views are great. The museum is fantastic. If you can take advantage of the boat tour and see the area from the water. Great places to eat all around.

Came to visit Solomons Island for my first time in 52 years! I was not disappointed and the CMM and the lighthouse turned out to be the unsung hero of the visit. Take the time if you're in Solomons to visit this landmark. You'll be glad you did!

I went to the museum and lighthouse with my mom while she was in town visiting. She couldn't climb the steep stairs into the lighthouse but the docent was very nice and told he all about it while I went up and looked around. It was surprisingly big and quite livable inside! I really enjoyed the museum and lighthouse. We went to the lotus cafe for lunch and came back for the boat tour that departs next to the light house. Highly recommend!

This is a really cool historic lighthouse that was relocated to the adjacent museum. Not currently in use. It has been completely renovated and restored to how it would have looked when in-use 100 years ago. You can climb all the way up the stairs to see the light lenses - a 4th order Fresnel lens. Note - entry to the lighthouse is only accessible through the Marine Museum, which costs $11 to enter.

Cool place even if you have mobility issues. Staff are pretty sharp too . If you go be sure to explore and find the Ark.

Lots to see and do here. The Lighthouse is part of the Calvert Maritime Museum. One low price gets you into everything. There are exhibits on ships as well as Marine Life - make sure to stop by the Discovery room to see the Rays and Skates! You can go inside the Lighthouse, but the steps may not be for everyone and the opening to get to the 2nd floor is a bit narrow. You can also purchase tickets for a boat ride, but space is limited and there are only 1 or 2 rides most days. The Museum is open slightly longer than the Lighthouse.

What a delight! Be ready for peaceful wandering, close to hustle and bustle, but certainly set apart. Whimsical and creative projects placed throughout the walkway through the trees. If you're in the area, please stop in and visit. If you have children, it's a must!

What a wonderful garden art walk. We brought our 3 year old and she loved hopping, twirling and leaping along the path and looking out for special trees that had creative artistic additions. We came mid-week in January and had the place to ourselves, but I can imagine that weekends in the summer it might be a popular spot.

Such a great place to visit! And it's only a recommended donation of $5/person! The nature path was very tranquil and nice to walk through, with various sculptures and things to see. There was a cute play area for kids. And the inside building had a few nice things to see. The entire visit was a unique and fun few hours' experience for any age, and I'd definitely recommend this.

It was my first time here with friends and I loved it. The displays and lighting are perfect. They offered hot cocoa and treats in the shop area. Its so nice walking around with a hot cocoa to keep you warm. I'm going back again with my daughter. I'll be sure to go every year here on out.

This place is a gem! Beautiful garden with terrific sculptures in the pine forest. Lady at the reception was fantastic and knowledgeable. 5 dollars donation at the entrance. There’s a temporary MLK exhibition in the gallery, we enjoyed it a lot. We’ll be back!

Annmarie Gardens is a beautiful place to explore! There is so much to see!!! The sculptures are interesting and beautiful. We enjoy "Yarn Bombing" in one corner of the garden. Garden in Lights is AMAZING!!!

Funky and contemporary modern setting perfect for local artists to demonstrate and show off their work. The indoor galleries are full of exhibits carefully crafted by artists far and wide. Totally mobility friendly exhibits with wide spaces and hallways, elevator and accessible bathroom. Special events throughout the year and lighted gardens in winter to celebrate the holidays. The outdoor paths through the sculpture gardens are evenly paved and easy to navigate via wheelchair or scooters. Great for strollers too. There are benches to sit throughout for tired tiny tot legs or arthritic joints. Nice serene setting outdoors for those with sensory issues. Lovely wooden and metal and mixed media installations along the path and hidden fairy houses within. Kids will enjoy looking for those, they pop up just about everywhere! Gorgeous setting that can really lower your blood pressure a bit being captivated by the beauty and calm of the tall surrounding trees. You can totally get your zen on here and relax, and the kids will greatly enjoy the children’s “hands on” art area. Put this one on your list when visiting Southern Maryland!

Absolutely perfect day looking at sculptures then cooling off at the welcome center. Peggy and the staff there are extremely kind, knowledgable, and friendly. Art work is amazing. Beautifully done. Highly recommend and I will most certainly be back.

There are some cool sculptures along the trail and, when I was there, an interesting exhibit featuring art made from re-used materials.

We just did the outside portion. We walked along a paved 1/4 mile path to see fairy villages, sculptures, quirky signs, etc. There are places along the path to sit and reflect, one area is by the water. The path meanders through the woods, so it's nice and shaded.

They have great events like art exhibitions, markets, festivals, and their winter light show. I also got married in the main building in 2021. It was a great experience, and they were easy to work with. Great on-site spots for photos.

First time visiting the island and the tiki bar & though we had a great time, like other restaurants they seemed to be low on staffing. Our host had to close us out to go help at the bar and our food took an hour and a half to come. Drinks were reasonably priced & food was tasty.

It was my first visit there. The bar choices of liquor is limited so don't expect Top Shelf. The atmosphere is great. But if you want a water view. You have to sit at the bar. There is additional seating on the side towards the back.

The place is excellent. Very big, they even have the hotel next door. They have service outside. The food is quite nice. The lady who served us was very friendly. She even brought water for our dogs.... The atmosphere in the bar looked very lively... and its decoration gives it another point.

Went here for brunch on a Sunday. We had excellent service and the food was alright. It was typical bar food - not terrible but nothing amazing. Ordered this teriyaki steak skewer from the menu I don’t remember what it was actually called but it was good. The one thing I didn’t like was the audio from the TVs was so loud we could not hear what each other was saying sitting inches apart from one another at the bar. Loud music at a bar in the evening I totally understand but it was noon on Sunday and there were maybe us and two other individuals in the whole place. From where we were staying we could hear people partying at tiki bar in the evenings and I wish we had the opportunity to check this place out for drinks in the evening because it looked like so much fun. Our only experience was brunch but I look forward to maybe coming back one evening.

I want to give this place a 10. Everything from service, food and drinks were good. Even my puppy was happy with her hotdog. I will be returning to hear some bands. I promise that you will not be disappointed.

This time we had lunch in the "grill" side of the restaurant. Wonderful experience. Food was excellent, came to the table quickly, beer was nice and cold, and our server was top notch. You don't need to bury your feet in the sand (if that's not your thing) to dine here. Great job, Tiki Grill!

Great local bar / restaurant!! The atmosphere is so unique and exciting. There are lots of unique drinks as well. Their famous Mai Tai is totally worth it - it's very strong and tastes great. If you get more than one, and might need to get an Uber out!! Definitely recommend this place, and try out the Mai Tai!

While on a boat around Solomon's Island 🏝 we saw the Tiki Bar and heard music. We looked at each other and said yes, that's the place we're going to eat and have some cold drinks. Tiki Bar has a huge parking lot free of charge with live music. It's a dog friendly restaurant as well. Meghan, our server, was friendly and recommended the fish taco, which was so delicious. My girlfriend had the house salad with shrimp and also oysters. Oh my goodness, it was delicious, and so were my watermelon crush and her grapefruit crush. Also, the mojtos are to die for. We love the atmosphere so much that we went back the following night. We totally recommend Tiki Bar. We dine in and were not locals, so we're not sure if the offer delivery service, but I'm sure you can order from Uber Eats or Grub Hub. The price of food and drinks is pretty good.

Hyped environment Food was delicious. Initially service was slow but got on point. Band was good. Honey old bay wings yummo! I spent a lot because I wanted everything 🤣

Great outdoor spot for live music with a tropical vibe! Food was only available in takeout containers which results in a ton of plastic waste. Food was fine, fried food was done well (fries and pickle chips)! Fun place to spend a few hours hanging and listening to bands.

My brother arranged a sail for my family with Josh and Carmelita with much ease - they were super responsive and accommodating for the time and date, and communications were easy. The sail itself was perfect. We had decent wind the day of our sail and captains Josh and Carmelita made sure to tailor the trip to our comfort levels. Everything about the experience was great and I highly recommend sailing with them - from the sail itself to their customer-first mentality, it was a 5-star experience!!!

My wife and I spent a wonderful evening Sailing with Captains Josh and Carmel to celebrate our anniversary. We were welcomed aboard and made to feel right at home as soon as we arrived. We went out for a cruise that took us far into the Chesapeake Bay past one of the many lighthouses, and made our return trip as the sun was setting. The skillful handling of the boat helped set the perfect mood for a relaxing and romantic evening. We were even taught some of the finer points of sailing by two obviously experienced and capable Captains. A perfect evening all around.

My husband and I went on a 2 hour cruise this evening...was our first time sailing. Josh and Carmel showed up at the pier of the Lighthouse restaurant to greet us with their 40 foot sailboat. They are truly first class! Enjoyed conversations with them, on the water, enjoying the evening sunset. One of the first and best experience ever! Definitely worth it!

My wife and I booked an evening sunset cruise for a long weekend getaway. Carmelita and Josh were able to get us a 2 hour trip on a busy weekend in Solomons. The two of them make a great team. It’s obvious from their introduction that they love sharing their passion of sailing with others. Before we even got to the dock I was in contact with Josh on the phone and email. He responded quickly and was happy to offer some amenities. Josh offered me a few pick up locations and offered to drop us at our hotel marina. Once on the boat we covered a quick but thorough safety brief. We toured the river before entering the bay. Carmelita and Josh made suggestions for restaurants and other activities on Solomons and pointed them out as we passed them. Our tour took us around Solomons Island and under the bridge at sunset. Carmelita took pictures of us the whole time and shared them with us after the tour. It was great talking with them about how they got into sailing and how they learned their craft. The boat was clean and appeared to be sound. On the way back lighting storms were surrounding us. The light show was really cool to watch. The storm was about 30 miles so there was no danger and we felt safe the Josh and Carmelita were keeping an eye on the weather. I would definitely recommend their tour or charter service. They were great hosts and provide a memorable experience. You should book your tour now.

With many years of sailing, but no longer owning a sailboat, we were looking to again experience the joy of sailing. We contacted them after viewing their website and asked many questions about how they worked. They told us that they had never been asked for some of the things we wanted, but they were very willing to provide them. They were very flexible about the time and itinerary for the cruise. We had a 4-hour evening/night sail with Josh and Carmeletta. They were very professional and friendly. The water was beautiful, the weather great, and the moon and stars brilliant. Our expectations were exceeded in every way. We have already recommended Chesapeake Bay Charters to at least 2 people and plan to charter again with them in the future.

My husband and I were staying at the Back Creek Inn Bed & Breakfast when we saw the Chesapeake Bay Charters brochure. We called, left a message and Joshua called us back within minutes. Lucky for us, Joshua and Carmel were available for a half day sail even on such short notice. They even picked us up and dropped off at the bed & breakfast pier! It was beyond convenient. Joshua and Carmel are experienced sailors and reviewed safety procedures before we got underway. We chose the light house cruise and had perfect sailing weather. Whether your goal is to sit back, relax and enjoy a beautiful day on the water or help sail the boat, Joshua and Carmel are beyond accommodating. They are a delightful couple with extensive knowledge of local history. I would highly recommend CBC and hope to sail on the Sea Hawk again.

The highlight of our holiday! Josh and Carmel made our family feel very welcome and relaxed on their lovely yacht while we enjoyed a fantastic evening cruise around the bay. A memorable experience for all, and one I would wholeheartedly recommend to any visitor to the area wanting a special treat, and at a surprisingly reasonable cost! Spring Cove Marina is a hidden gem on the Chesapeake! We were only there for one night, but hoping they have room for us this fall on our return trip to Florida! The dockhands were great and still smiling after helping us in during a t-storm. The marina is in a gorgeous, clean park setting with a beautiful pool and outside bar. The ship store was amazing, and Cindy in the office was so helpful and friendly. Great stop!

Beautiful marina!! The marina, employees, and the grounds show pride in ownership. Everyone is so friendly and helpful! Our kids love coming to the marina!! It’s a family friendly marina with lots of activities and things for the kids to do. One trip to Spring Cove marina and you’ll have a hard time going anywhere else.

Absolutely the best place to bring the boat, relax and enjoy all the great surroundings. This year will be our 15th year staying at Spring Cove Marina.

The Seafarers YC of Annapolis had the opportunity to go to the Spring Cove Marina located in Solomons Island Maryland this past Memorial Day Weekend. Marina Manager Jim Pickett and his staff were most accommodating and friendly. We are looking forward to our return cruise there, we had a great time! Oh yes, the coctails at the bar were exceptional!!

I found a wonderful marina and then bought a great boat! Spring Cove Marina is my home away from home. From the beauty of the location, to the entire staff, members and crew- it is all the best in class. I am a novice boater and everyone has been fantastic at helping me "learn the ropes" C.J. and his team in the boatyard are amazing. Always helpful and so nice. The Richards family runs a "tight ship" and Liz, Trevor, Will and Jess make sure all feel welcome- even dogs and teenagers!! Cannot imagine docking my boat anywhere else.

Just in for gas and a pump out.was met at the dock and it was quick and professional. Again this time for diesel and pump out. We were met by Nate and he was very helpful

Good communication during our haul out. This is my only experience at this boat yard (haven't been to the marina). The property (buildings, facilities, vehicles, equipment) all seemed older, but very well kept.

Under the old ownership this marina use to be such a good family place. Sad to say we went back a few times and it’s gone down hill hugely with the new owners. It seems like he just wants it to be a frat party place where all you do is drink and pay for over priced drinks at the bar. Not the Spring cove we fell in love with years ago. Not to mention the dock are some of the worst I’ve seen and power is 50/50. Would not recommend for family’s anymore.

Just left the marina. We had a great time this weekend with friends. We had 2 boats on B dock. The employees and owner were very helpful and quick to accommodate our requests for shuttle/ golf cart rides, bikes usage and docking and gas help. The pool and bar, grilling areas and bathroom are very well maintained and very relaxing with cool music playing in background. Only think I would say needs some improvement is the food quality and delivery of food. This is our 2nd year visiting and will definitely come again. Promise and Michelle outstanding employees!!!

Great, and the attendant was very helpful. There is a baitshop and fishing pier there. We used the kayak launch, which is I'm the back left corner of the lot.

Decent spot to fish but nothing bites anything other than blood worms. Make sure you use those for bait

ALL been redone. Ramp fees for the year are cheap. Close to Solomon's and bonus it is right near our favorite restaurant "island hideaway" go enjoy!

Love this boat launch. There are four lanes to launch into and three the recover from. It is a wide area. We have a F350 dually and a 25' boat. There is plenty of room for us to maneuver around. There are a lot of parking spaces that are easy to get into and out of. The only negative is that the parking spots could be a little longer. When we use the dually to tow, the parking spots are not quite long enough. We have to park at somewhat of an angle. It is not an issue, though, when we tow with our Durango. The annual fee is not unreasonable.

Pretty decent dock as docks go. Didn't catch much of anything this session. The flounders didn't want to taste the 🪝. No crabs were hungry either.

Very easy and convenient to use to launch our kayak, it was free to use and park and not crowded at all.

This time a few months ago it was amazing but this time (new crew...cool but NOT the same) and we were greatly disappointed...we stayed in one spot the entire time, the capt. barely communicated with us and all we were able to catch were a ton of tiny spots that no one really wanted 😒...we've been booking with this company for years...but I doubt we'll book again after this trip...😔

Absolutely amazing bachelorette party charter fishing trip! We nearly hit our limit fishing for rock fish within the first three hours. Uncle Gary made the trip even more memorable, he has an excellent taste in music and great stories...we had such a blast. Captain Ricky was incredible, got us out and back safely, knew the hot fishing spots and can filet fish like no other. The way they set the rods ups is amazing, everyone on our charter was able to fish and things got wild when we had four big fish coming in at once. We are already talking about our next trip!

Awesome!!! All of us onbroad had a wonderful time, we all caught our desire limit of fish. I will definitely go again. They also help you if you are disabled. Great for group fishing.

Had a great time fishing on here fish were small but still a good time I'm not used to doing evening fishing but it was okay the captain did everything he could to help us catch fish which was much appreciated we'll be returning to go night fishing again.

This place is temporarily closed. Go figure! The owner didn’t know how to run a business. I remember going into this place 6months ago the owner was very rude!

Had a great time fishing for rockfish. Caught it limit and were back on the dock by noon.

I really enjoyed my trip on bunkies. It was very good and we caught plenty of fish even though we were there on I believe was November 30th the day before the last big storm. I would recommend it as reasonable and it is quite comfortable. One thing with this charter. Be sure and have everything you need. They don't give you any hooks. No bait, no nothing. You have to bring all that you need.

The next time you are on the island - check out Solomons Boat Rental! I promise you will be happy with your experience. We rented a boat from this establishment for two hours and were just blown away by the experience. Extremely helpful and great conversation with the entire staff. Being able to experience the area on the water was a highlight of our stay for the holiday weekend and we were so happy that we decided to rent the boat and go out on the water. The day was perfect and the staff helped to make us feel comfortable with our first time driving a boat! Thanks again. We will be back :)

We had a blast and the owner was friendly, helpful and patient with us as we had not driven a boat in a bit:-) Being on the river was lovely! We had a late afternoon trip and felt confident about the weather, as the owner was clear he would not let us go out in inclement weather or if a storm looked too close.

Lovely boat. Very clean. Nice owner. Easy to get in and out.

We rented the 19ft bow rider for 4 hours. The folks at the rental place are very friendly and help you get setup on the boat quickly. The boats are good but are old and don't have any amenities. Overall the rental price is decent but it would be nice if the boats were newer and offered better features. The river is great! We cruised up the river and went off to one of the inlets where we anchored and got in the water. The water is warm in August and great to be in. The river can get a little choppy if the winds pick up but for the most part it's a pretty calm river.

Rented a pontoon boat and loved it. We were able to seat 9 adults, some of them smaller people, comfortably. Enjoyed tubing! Sadly, they forgot that we had a reservation so we waited an hour for someone to show up, but once they got us signed in, everything went smoothly. Just call the day before to confirm. They gave us a discount for the inconvenience.

72° and breezy rays. Picnicking on sand. It was so incredible to just relax!

Boats are old but seem to be well kept. Got us out on the water fairly quickly. Only real complaint is that the boat didn't have any bumpers or docking lines which meant we had to get creative with the anchor line to tie up at the restaurant.

Sail Solomons has an excellent charter sailing business in southern Maryland / central Chesapeake Bay. I just completed my 2nd bareboat charter from them and will be back! They have a good selection of boats at a great location in Zahnisers Marina. The boat we took out (a Beneteau 33 “Allora”) was well maintained and sailed beautifully. The owner, Captain Jeff, ensured we had a safe and enjoyable experience. He was able to recommend a good itinerary routing given the wind and weather conditions and also the duration of our charter. He gave a thorough description of the boat systems and was available to answer questions via text or a phone call during the trip. The first day of our charter had a severe storm forecasted for late evening, he checked in to make sure we arrived at our destination in good shape. Sail Solomons also has an ASA sailing school, and you can easily see how the enjoyment of educating sailors includes sharing knowledge and skills with their customers. I would absolutely recommend them for anyone considering a sailing charter or continued learning.

The 6 of us had a wonderful time sailing with captain Tom. Several of us are inspired to learn more about sailing from this tour. Thank you Jeff for making our family vacation and providing such a nice sail boat

Sail Solomon's is a great school to begin you sailing adventure. Chris is patient and very knowledgeable making the weekends very enjoyable. We have taken 3 separate classes with him and the wind gods do seem to favor him greatly which makes the day even more sporty.

Sail Solomons sponsored an ASA Marine Weather course taught by Captain Lisa of Kinetic Sailing. This course was amazing. Although I have been sailing for >40 years, I learned so much in this class. I highly recommend taking courses with Sail Solomons.

My son and I spent a great weekend with Barry and the Sail Solomons staff taking the ASA 101 course. The fellowship was great and the instruction outstanding. Looking forward to the next course.

Mike and I learned a lot today. Not much wind but we worked on our skills. We hope Jeff can hone them by end of next season. The staff is spot on. Beautiful day!

The warmth of owner and artist Carmen Gambrill is reflected in her fun, lively, and welcoming art gallery in the heart of Solomons Island. The gallery occupies a charming two-storey building with numerous individual galleries and a clothing and jewelry boutique. Carmen's has an international collection of fine art including works by Jo Barry, Marius Zabinski, and Carmen herself who is known for her vibrant abstract paintings. I can't say enough about the great service and wonderful experience of my visit. Check out Carmen's next time you're in Solomon's.

It's easy to overlook this place but it represents an important piece of Maryland and Chesapeake Bay history. Lots of old photos and explains why there are so few oysters left. It's a short visit and it's free. The guy there was very nice and helped identify the shells I found at Calvert Cliffs.

My wife and I did the pasta class and thoroughly enjoyed it! The staff was amazing and the venue is incredible.

Went to the Argentine appetizer event Sorry to say it was extremely disappointing This was after the wine tasting last Wednesday which was above par The announcement for the appetizer event stated An Argentine Happy Hour: Appetizers, Cocktails, & Wine. Which I thought indicated the drinks were included I feel like it should have stated Argentine Happy Hour, bar available for fee or simply Argentine Happy Hour and the menu The wine was overpriced at $12.00 a glass. The wine tasting was $9.00 a glass at the bar The food was not as pictured and unappetizing Sorry, but this event was not what I expected from NTTC and certainly not priced correctly at $75.00 a person plus fee

This isn't a restaurant but kind of a cooking school that will demonstrate how to make breads and pastas and a whole bunch of other cuisine. Plus the drinks are amazing

Last evening at No Thyme to Cook was French/German cuisine from the Alsace-Lorraine region of France and Germany. I loved the fact that the chef used two French recipes and one German. The menu was: Quiche Lorraine (ham, swiss, bacon & tomatoes) Warmer Kartoffel Salad mit Speck (hot potato-bacon salad) Vol au Vent with Ham& Mushrooms in a Bechamel sauce Tarte aux Myrtilles (blueberry tart) What a wonderful dinner and experience last night! The chef was amazing! He is so knowledgeable, friendly, and has a great sense of humor. I always take away something I didn’t know before. Last night it was how to cook the best-tasting mushrooms, make a better German potato salad, and a delicious bechamel sauce. Meghan was his assistant and she was just as fantastic!

Wow, this was quite the experience! The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. My wife and I had a wonderful date night, and learned some new recipes we can make at home. I'd recommend this to anyone in the area. Beautiful view to look at while you're cooking and eating too!

For Mother’s Day, I order a Celebration in a Box from No Thyme to Cook. Beef Wellington with side salad, crab dip appetizer, baguette, and creme brûlée dessert. The food was delivered EXACTLY on time, and came perfect temperature and packed neatly which I especially appreciated. The baguette was soft and warm. Crab dip was fantastic. Creme brûlée was top notch. The star was the Wellington... steak was fork cut tender but the pastry totally made it. Could not be happier with the meal we just feasted on. Straight up delicious.

I signed up for this class about a month in advanced. I was so excited about it. It was going to be my little Eat, love, pray weekend trip for my birthday but I came down sick the week before. I thought I’d be better by the weekend but my sore throat came back that night. The policy is you have to make the transfer to another day 48 hours before the class. I technically emailed them 46 hours. I also called the next day but no one returned my call. I went to the doctor. I had a sinus infection and even got a doctors note. When they finally got back to me they said absolutely no exceptions even though I explained to them what happened. Horrible customer service with absolutely no compassion. I understand if you want to have a rigid policy but I have a group of 8 girlfriends who love doing stuff like this. I had already suggested we do a girls day trip out to this place cause a cooking class was on their bucket list. That’s $150 x 8 = $1,200. But they’d rather keep my $150 than provide an exception that would win them new business. I won’t be rebooking my trip to this place. The way they treated me just left a bad taste in my mouth. No pun intended. I’d rather patron someplace that cares about building relationships with their customers and isn’t focus solely on taking peoples money.

I attended a wine tasting. Everyone received four tastings and a small charcuterie board. Definitely not a social event And instead an educational one. I’ll be back.

Spent an evening sailing on the Marauder for the Sunset Cruise. Truly amazing experience, that can be enjoyed by anyone. The vessel was clean and comfortable. The trip was incredibly stable. Smooth and comfortable traveling up the Patuxent River, with captivating views of the Thomas Johnson Bridge and sunset behind. And equally as stable as we cut through the larger swells of the Chesapeake Bay. Though the sunset was beautiful, the sights on the Chesapeake were equally as stunning as we caught up to a large early 1900s clipper ship. The views were fantastic from all areas on board. The back deck was wide open and unobstructed for viewing, as well as having plenty of room for all fishing activities. The view from the bridge was even more amazing, with plenty of room to sit comfortably while taking in the sights. The cabin was well appointed and comfortable with a full galley and all the amenities needed to entertain. There was plenty of room to sit and relax while we enjoyed the amazing experience. Captain Brian was awesome. Not only a seasoned veteran boat captain, but also a kind soul who made the guests feel as if they were at home. It was amazing to watch how he handled the vessel while we were traveling through the Chesapeake, and how he effortlessly maneuvered the vessel in and out of his berth in the marina. The crew was also incredibly kind and helpful, a pleasure to interact with. Overall, our time on the Marauder for the Sunset Cruise was truly amazing, something I would most certainly recommend to everyone. Something I would like to do again on an upcoming Friday evening!!!

I had booked Captain Brian and this first Mate Nathan for my best friends bachelorette party on 8/22/15! There were 7 girls total and only 3 had been fishing before. I myself was one that had never fished and was pretty skeptical that I wasn't going to 1. catch any fish and 2. have much fun. Well, boy was I surprised! We caught over 70 spot fishes and 9 blue! they were practically flying in our boat! Captain Brian told us "he would take us to the fish and then catching them was all on us". Well he definitely took us to the fish for sure and if a spot wasn't working well he would move us somewhere better! From the very beginning when I was booking Marauder Charters; Captain Brian put up and never lost patience with my incessant calling and texting of questions about our upcoming fishing trip and that made me feel like he actually cared about the comfort of his clients. (I am now in his favorites I called so much, you're welcome) The captain and first mate Nathan we so kind and freaking hilarious! They got our humor, went above and beyond the call of duty and said they got to learn a lot about women in those 6 hours! They both helped with showing us how to "bottom fish", put those nasty worms on our hooks, took those slippery fish off our hooks (I put one in the cooler myself. GROSS) and then fileted and cleaned them for us after!! The boat was so nice!!! Completely clean and well maintained! I will personally be back with the bride and our husbands to go fishing next summer for sure! I HIGHLY recommend Marauder Charters, Captain Brian and Nathan (make sure you keep him Brian). Solomon's Island was a fun weekend and they made it perfect!!! Thank you again Marauder Charters for the great fishing and company! We will see you again!

We had an amazing sunset cruise with friends and family. This first class boat and crew made our trip fun and comfortable. During our sunset cruise we were treated to beautiful views and fun sight seeing.

My best friend booked Captain Brian and his first mate Nathan (He's a keeper!) for my bachelorette party (8/22/15). Three of the girls, including myself, have been fishing before while the other four had not. I was not sure how they were going to do but Captain Brian said he was going to take us to the fish and it would be up to us to catch them. He was right! I know the girls who have never been fishing before were unsure if they were even going to catch anything (which would have been disappointing), thankfully this was not the case. We started trolling for mackerel first, ended up catching three blue. Then we moved onto bottom fishing (My favorite!) We caught around 57 spot, every girl catching multiple fish so no one felt left out. He even gave us the option of continuing to bottom fish or try trolling again. Due to our luck bottom fishing every opted to get more bait and continue fishing. By the end of the morning we decided to try trolling one last time before heading in for the day - we caught 6 more blue fish. Everyone had fish to take home and had nothing but positive remarks about Captain Brian and Nathan. They were both genuinely concerned in making sure we all caught fish and having a great time. Nathan pulled his weight making sure everyone had bait or removing fish. Captain Brian would step in when needed to help. It is a team effort here and they went above and beyond the call of duty to make the weekend one to remember forever! I would HIGHLY recommend him for any fishing and I will be back with my husband and several friends for some more fishing. Absolutely the best time out with Marauder Charter! Always a good time with this crew! And teaching them young. The teens loved learning and the hands on experience.

Fun 2 hour boat ride for a good price. The crew was lovely and the music was perfect for a Sunday afternoon! Drinks onboard are reasonably priced and they had local spirits available. Highly recommend. I tend to get motion sick and had no issues at all sitting in the front of the boat.

Every time you set sail, it is like sailing away on a mini vacation. No matter what worries life has for you, they are left on the shore. The crew do a wonderful job at keeping you safe and providing an atmosphere that whisks you away. We normally use it as date night, or friends get together, however they are AMAZING with children as well! You will not regret any trip taken!

We totally enjoyed the Bourbon & Cigar Cruise! We liked the small group that attended and enjoyed talking with everyone. The Crew were friendly and accommodating. We would definitely go again! I don’t think I would change anything. It was really relaxing and fun! Loved the bartender and cigar guys from the Toasted Foot Cigar Lounge, and of course our Captain! Cheers to you all & hope to cruise with you again in the Springtime!!!

We had an awesome time on the half shell celebrating my birthday. It was beautiful weather and the sweet staff(Captain Don, Bartender Connie, Deckhand Braeden). They set us up on their Bluetooth speaker, took our pictures and made us feel so welcome. They were all smiles and we enjoyed celebrating with them! Jessica and Jeni were so kind and patient during the booking process. No matter what silly questions we asked they got right back to us! Would definitely celebrate again with Half Shell!

We booked to enjoy our 19th wedding anniversary and we enjoyed every minute. Professional and friendly staff, clean, and just a wonderful experience all around. The caption took much care in handling the boat as well. We will definitely book again and be sure to bring family and friends. Top-notch!

Don, our captain was so go with the flow. He smiled and showed us he enjoyed his time with us. He let us toot the horn, had the kiddos and us indulge him in playing "captain" for a moment or more, and was just so easy!  Katie was tending bar, but was our solid volunteer for taking our group photos, smiled the entire time, and we enjoyed her company. Aria was so precious and sweet as well!  This was her first cruise and was so eager to assist. We really felt like we were all there together. We planned a surprise 65th birthday for my mom and I ordered tons of food for a party of 19. When the crew noticed how many trays we had, they scurried to set a second table for us without my asking. They notice everything but allowed my crazy bunch of family and friends to live it out for two hours. This may have been the best planned adventure for my family. Usually, there is always some sort of hiccup, but as I gazed around, everyone from the littles to the teenagers to the eldest were all smiles. We laughed, we danced, we sight saw, we ate, we drank, and we had a ball!  Vitamin sea did us good, and nothing could have been possible without all of your assistance. I couldn't say enough about The Half Shell Adventures!  My family and friends have not stopped raving about our time spent together. The fact that we were able to get a private charter and bring our own food onboard, a bar, and music made my mom feel so incredibly special. Fast forward to a couple days later, mom told me that the pictures and videos I shared with her seemed like a classy, down to earth, beautiful day. Then she corrected herself and said that the experience was all of that and the pictures simply didn't do enough justice. Mom said every time she looked at someone they looked happy inside and out and stated we outdid ourselves. She loved the crew too!  My whole party did!  When leaving the boat, my frightened of water 7 year old asked if his next birthday party could be on this boat. This majestic 96 year old boat was beautiful, the experience was phenomenal, but if it wasn't for the crew team who were more part of the party, then I do not believe I would gloat as much. It truly makes a difference who you surround yourself with. Thank you so much for an unforgettable experience, and we can't wait for our next Half Shell Adventure!
