Very nice walk. From parking to top is around 25 min. The park around is amazing. It can be very busy. Specially in holidays. If you can walk Oke, then don’t take the electric gold cards. The walk true the Forest is very nice. 👍

We were not able to enter the main Memorial Hall as we did not realise that advance booking was required. When we tried to book using the QR code provided near the entrance, the Memorial Hall was already fully subscribed. However, we managed to book entry into the Hall of the Three Victories and the hall commemorating the comfort women. We spent all our time in the Hall of Three Victories. It is very educational, even for those who do not read Mandarin. A solemn reminder of the evils of war. May we never forget what horrors can be inflicted upon the world by materialism, covetousness, and hubris.

This is my second time visit and this time with my mom who was born a few years later after the massacre. As a Chinese citizen we've basically all gained quite some knowledge via media while the actual visit here is still truly, profoundly heartbreaking and shocking. Besides the historical value, the hall itself is well designed, offering a holistic experience with some interactive sessions too. We listened to the tutorial audio along the way and that's quite helpful. Its almost hard for our generation to relate as we now in a different age but those suffering times should never be forgotten. 🕊️ 🙏 🇨🇳

The entire memorial is done in a way which is factual but equally harrowing presenting what must be one of the worst and most heinous times in modern history. Not recommended for children.

A huge burial ground which you need to be prepared to do a long walk. Beautiful and massive tomb though especially the awesome Stair! The down side is the package for getting in, was ridiculous. Just a sight seeing tour. Just a one time visit trip.

This is a tourist area. This garden opens as early as 6am, so try to get up early because there are several tourist spots to visit on this mountain. These include giant tomb of Ming’s dynasty king, Dr Sun Tomb, the Temple, and the House of China National Party. Time is just enough to visit all these in a day if you get up that early~

The entire compound is really big and is quite a majestic tomb. There are a bunch of animal statues that surround the park that are interesting to look at. Depending on the time of the year that you visit the place, the crowd and the scenery may vary. I was there in december when it was starting to turn cold in nanjing. The flowers were already gone, but with it the crowd as well. It is a nice long walk all the way of to the tomb. Dont expect to see anything spectacular though, as it is just a simple tomb.

Mausoleum for Emperor Hong Wu of Ming Dynasty. Ticket cost 70RMB for each person. A traditional emperor’s tomb structure. Trail inside with mythical beast’s statues is amazing. Especially in autumn. One of the worthiest spot to pass by during your trip on Zijin mountain.

Not as big and fancy as Sun Yat Sen's mausoleum. It is a relative new complex, not the original one built at the time of Ming Dinasty, but still beautiful.

Definitely I will revisit here again. I have a family photo with parents when I was infant. Standing in front of a "Long" dragon made of grass. Now 30 years passed, my parents with white hair and getting old. I am the age of them in the photo. We have lived oversea since 2 decades from China. I hope one day, my child and my parents can take a new photo.

A mausoleon for famous Chinese politician Dr. Sun Yat-sen, who has been reviewed as father of Republic of China. To reach the top, it will be a little tough hiking tour. But the view is great. Remember to stay hydrated. It might be easily to get a heat stroke during the summer in Nanjing.

Beautiful place need to cover a lot of distance by walk but worth while. The scenic area from top is better and lots of people on holidays. I visited last week but may be more beautiful in Autumn or Spring season.

As a member of an inexpensive package tour from Hong Kong, I was here in August, 2015. There were many visitors and I challenged my ability to take nice photos. Having been there, I thought I did not need any T-shirt depicting it!

It is an extraordinary experience, it is worthwhile spending some time for visiting this site, grades are nice and the sight from the top is wonderful, woods are really beautiful and there are several options to get souvenirs at the entrance. It is very recommendable visit to do.

A beautiful place, worth every steps! The Mausoleum closes at 5 pm., we waited upstairs and could make some beautiful photos without a single person on them. By the way the place is overcrowded at opening hours... I think Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum is the nr.1 spot in Nanjing.

This was a worthwhile stop, just to give some impression of what old Nanjing was like. (Not very much of that exists now). At least three segments of the old Nanjing city wall still exist, and this is one of them. This part is particularly worth visiting because of the massive gate. The wall itself is not as impressive as the city wall in Xi'an/ Beijing, but it is still large, and particularly worthwhile seeing... The various displays on what the gate looked like through the last 100 years or so were interesting. It was poignant to see the model and pictures of the massive wooden structure that use to be part of this gate. That structure lasted for several hundred years until it was destroyed in the Second World War. The views over the city and over the nearby river were worthwhile, as well. When I was there it was not very crowded beside the school children tour group... After visiting 玄武门, we enter from side "gate of china" at RMB20 n walk bout 2100m to the other of the gate, 解放门... Which ever gate u enter will need payment but if u are able to walk 2000+ m, then u may save abit... Highly recommended to visit thou....

I love the Nanjing City wall and Gates and are well worth the visit. The City has done an excellent job maintaing them.

A beautiful and historical place was built by the Ming Dynasty to protect their city against the invaders.

A guided tour (in mandarin comes together with the ticket so be sure to go for it, the guide is passionate and knowledgeable. It does end with their sales tactic though but other than that it was great. The whole site was sparse with people unlike the other sites at Nanjing. 门票也含有免费讲解 一定要参加 整个中华门人潮很淡 可能去的时候避开了旅游团吧

Lao Men Dong is definitely the best spot in Nanjing! Restaurants, little eateries, cafes, Chinese opera, everything you ever wanted when you travel to Nanjing/China.

Wonderful old city with the Gate of China standing very impressively right there in front of it. Tasteful and inviting restaurants as well as a variety of traditional shops. A very enjoyable visit and most definitely a must see in Nanjing.

Interesting way of preserving the old city gates and walls. Best to come during the early hours when traffic is not too heavy. The view is nothing much to shout about but is nearby the old east gate walking district.
