Beautiful gardens and well worth a visit. Really clean, tidy and such vibrant contrasting colours. We really spent some time just sitting and appreciating the unique cactus and stunning design, but it’s fairly small so you can walk around quite quickly. Lots of photo opportunities and the small pond / lake even had little turtles. Definitely recommend if not just to see such bold and unusual colours!

A beautiful garden and house. Visit early to avoid the crowds and you can get your insta worthy photos without anyone else there. Opens at 8:30 and gets busy from 9:00. Book tickets online beforehand as there is no ticket purchase at the Gardens. A tranquil oasis in the centre of Marrakech with fountains, pools, and amazing plants to wander amongst.

Not worth it in my opinion. It's too expensive 15€ per person for just 2 nice spots to take pictures. There are long ques to take pictures in the nicest spots. But it's nothing like original from Morocco is just a stylish house for the foundation. Really colorful in indigo blue and yellow, but not worth the queue and price.

An oasis in the middle of Marrakesh and one of the most enchanting gardens I have ever been. Entrance is slightly more expensive than regular attractions in the city, but its absolutely worth it (we’ve been there for 4hs!!). Cakes at the cafe are delicious too. The Yves Saint Laurent museum was an incredible surprise as well.

Just a picturesque place full of a peaceful beautiful vibe and so many different plants n cacti and the colours are so vibrant n such a beautiful amazing place to be. Such a contrast in the midst of the busy vibe of the city centre. Definitely worth coming to see this place and admire the different types of plants

This place was simply STUNNING! Me and my husband really enjoyed visiting the beautiful garden. Every corner you turned to was so picturesque that my album on my phone camera was getting full! Such a calm and vibrant garden. The colours were so captivating and pictures here looked stunning! I highly recommend this place if you’re ever in Marrakesh, definitely worth going to. Tickets must be booked online in advance and it’s about 150MAD per person.

The park is beautiful, it depicts Morocco but in a more tame way.  The park is dominated mostly by cacti and various succulents and two colors, royal blue and yellow.  Colorful and dynamic.  One of the cleaner places I had the opportunity to visit in Morocco.  You can only buy a ticket online and for a specific entry time.  Beautiful, but overcrowded with visitors.  Surprisingly small in size.

Queue was maximum 20 minute wait. We booked online. If you’re at the front, I recommend heading down and left - the first few people are invited into the private secret garden, which was amazing and a whole other experience! Try do this! We spent an hour here, take your time to be present. There were a few people taking photos which causes a crowd, but if you’re like me - we just walk on past!

The museum is small by beautiful. While not cheap, both the restaurant and the shop are full of quality items and tasty food.

Beautiful garden just outside of the old town. It looks like you can only book online to visit so make sure you do that or you'll end up having to use your phone to book it while being in line. The garden is really well kept and there's a lot of great spots for pictures. It takes about an hour to visit.

One of the most beautiful gardens. If you visit this one, no need to go to secret garden in Medina. Make sure you buy tickets online as there is now ticket office on site. If you want to be able to take photos then visit during the week early morning as then it gets crowded

A beautiful garden full of a wide variety of plants and of course the stunning blue house. The garden is well maintained and there are plenty of benches to sit and take in the beauty. Just a few things: 1. Go early. You will be grateful for it. We entered at 9am and although already somewhat busy, the queue to enter when we left was very long. We did not have to queue when we arrived. 2. Book tickets online. 3. Beware the obscene amount of wanna be Instagram models. They are everywhere and will take forever to pose in one spot disturbing beautiful views behind them. Again, go early to avoid this circus.

A really nice, picturesque place to visit. You’ll need to buy tickets online and book a time slot, it gets really busy, I’d advise arriving around 20-30 mins before your allocated time slot. There are a few different ticket types available, we went for the garden only but you can buy additional tickets for the ysl museum and the Berber museum too. Once you’re in you’re free to spend as much time in there as you’d like, it’s not massive and you can do it all in the space of an hour or so but still worth checking out.

This place is amazing I never knew there were so many different species of Cactus. Get there early to get the amazing views wear a scarf as that early it's nippy. The views the vibrancy of the colours. The museum onsite provides a wealth of information. The resting place for YSL, the tranquility without the crowds . A must visit when in Marrakesh. Absolutely stunning place, visually majestic and stimulating. Not much else to do beyond that, though, and the crowds tend to hang too long in the best areas, taking pictures until they are satisfied with the outcome. Still an amazing spot, with shops outside for refreshments or retail therapy.

Upon arrival, be prepared for a queue lasting approximately 30 minutes, as the influx of tourists necessitates multiple ticket checks. Once inside, you're immediately immersed in a vibrant garden showcasing an array of plant life, including cacti, flowers, and more. This visit is a botanical delight, particularly for plant enthusiasts. While the space isn't overly large, capturing pictures might extend your visit, given the queues forming at the most picturesque spots in the garden. For those intrigued by culture, a highlight is the Berber collection. Exploring this section provides an opportunity to delve into Berber culture, featuring typical costumes, accessories, and insightful exhibits. If cultural exploration is on your agenda, this collection comes highly recommended.

Beautiful place, many opportunities to take nice pictures. But better go early because it‘s full of tourists. It is near to the YSL museum, which is also good, so better to buy directly tickets for both at better conditions than if you purchase them separately.

Gorgeous small garden designed by a painter in the early 1900s in Marrakech, Morocco. Later owned and maintained by Yves Saint Laurent and his partner (both are buried in the garden). Entry fee is about $12 or $13 USD. A bit high but if you enjoy lovely spaces and beautifully designed gardens you will enjoy it. There is a one way direction to the path. We went to the WC first and accidentally got going the wrong way at first so beware. The main section of the grounds is planted with a nice variety of cacti in various textures and shapes. There are blooming bougainvillea on overhead trellises that contrast nicely with the more brutal looking cactus plants. The blue painted walls are absolutely stunning. Pots (many plant filled) in saturated colors such as orange, yellow, green, and blue are situated to create lovely vignettes here and there. There are several water features and comfortable benches throughout. The restrooms are clean and have fantastic tile work. There is a small coffee shop, too, though we didn’t have time to order anything. It is possible to see just the garden or add on the museum (for a higher fee). This is a popular place for school tours. It can get very crowded. We were there at about 10 am and it was already very busy.

A lovely oasis in Marrakesh. It's the only place I thoroughly enjoyed in this bustling city. There's a long line to enter so recommend booking the tickets in advance or getting here early. 4 stars because not all the plants were marked with their names. So they need to work on that! Lovely place nevertheless with a nice book shop and gift shop.

Absolutely must visit place if you are in Marrakech. Gardens are fabulous. A bit crowded mid day so go earliest in the morning. No smoking inside, a gift shop and many many exotic plants that will do beautiful pictures too.

The Majorelle Garden is pretty, and it is a great thing that most of the trees are really high. This makes the visit a little fresher. However, the $15 price is a little high if you consider that visiting it takes no more than 25 minutes. There is the Yves Saint Laurent museum inside, which if you want to visit, you have to ensure it is in your ticket. The colors of the place and decorations are beautiful and look amazing in pictures.

Make sure to buy tickets online first! It’s good that it has a lot of shades and air conditioning in some areas. Worth to go for the beautiful designs - many places reminds me of China. Love the cactus section! If you want to take good photos of the plants, make sure to go early to avoid the crowds.

One of those relaxing places to visit if you're staying in Marrakech for a few days. It's a garden with beautiful planes and it belonged to Yves Saint Laurent in the past. You can do it by yourself, choose a tour guide at the door or do it as part of a guided city tour. If you love plants this is a MUST if you're not into plants then skip it, it is all you will see.

If you are a lover of landscape gardens and cacti, you have come to the right place. There is an incredible richness in the vegetation and the visit itself is very pleasant. For our part, we did it without a guide and so we wandered through the aisles at our leisure and were able to take a large number of photos. Points not to be overlooked: Tickets must be taken on the internet for access and it is crowded because it is a real tourist site. 😜👇👍

Nice gardens. This was started by the French Painter Majorelle and was recovered by Yves St Laurent and made into a beautiful garden. The gardens opened to the public in 1982 for viewing. There is a $15 charge person to enter the gardens. This goes to the foundation that upkeeps the gardens and I'm sure they do other good deeds too.

This is a great place and a must visit in Marrakech. Landscaping and colours of this garden are marvellous. Haven for Instagrammers. The collection of plant species and the way the garden is arranged is fantastic. Queues are long. Always advised to book online in advance.

Largely overhyped, could miss this if you do not have a lot of time in the city! The ticket for the garden cost 155MAD and 210MAD with the museum entrance, tickets could be bought online and QR codes will be sent to your email. The hotel staff told us to reach on time, but we had to wait up till 20 minutes upon arrival due to the queue. Note that bigger bags have to be left with the staff at the entrance post. The garden is immaculate and beautiful. There are a number of benches for you to rest and people watch. Not very zen due to the crowd though. There were no signs or explanations of the plants in the garden. The same goes for the museum as the display signs were in French, no English so I was clueless the entire visit. There are a lot of staff in the garden & museum, some cleaning and maintaining the garden, others giving you a death stare moving you along. The bookshop and gift shop was very interesting. Do check out the little tea section tucked beside the Love Gallery, had a lot of fun exploring the different tea blends and bought a few packets at only 180 MAD each.

Totally worth the wait / queue. The jardín is stunning, peaceful and colorful in unexpected ways. Even though is somehow small and crowded, you can still find some instants of peace and solitude which brings the magic closer to you. Absolutely recommended

You will find the heaven in the middle of desert. It is totally green with different kinds of plants. You can also visit museums there. The colors of the buildings are fascinating. You need 2 hours to visit and take some photos. There is also a cafe inside.

We were rightly advised to book tickets online well in advance as they get sold out quickly. It's best to visit the gardens in the earliest slot possible for lesser crowds. The garden is very picturesque and well maintained. There are lots of little spots where you can get beautiful pictures, but expect some wait times. The garden is much smaller than what I expected, so felt a little pricey for the areas we could visit.

Nice place, so colorful and the vegetation was very nice too. I went there at 8am and there were already quite a few people. But then later at around 9am it was already a bit crowded. So it is a very very touristy place. It‘s nice to take some pictures. But just to walk around it is not that peaceful with so many people taking pictures all the time.

Beautiful, definitely worth it and a must see if you are in marrakesh. The vibe was so relaxing and the smells I cannot even describe. There are so many plants, fish and together it gives such an amazing smell.

It’s the most expensive of all attractions but definitely worth it (different than the jardin secret, not worth it at all) 155MAD just the garden + extra for a ticket to the Berber museum you’ll find inside. Try to go EARLY in the morning After 10am there’s a huge line forming outside I’ve been there at 9:30 and there were already many people inside, not many on the line. I quietly took my 2h to explore, feel the breeze, sit down and relax amongst the plants, it’s peaceful They have different ways of following the path, I apparently took the opposite and all of them would let me go until one had stopped me and asked to go all the way around. All the blue colors make it a wonderful place to be, the cactus, the garden itself. Keep in mind that there’s the Berber museum inside that you have to pay extra, but when you’re buying your ticket online.

It looks overwhelming at first, but it's easy to navigate. Restaurants with terraces, and shops line the square, and in the evenings, food vendors set up selling fruit juices, all kinds of traditional dishes, and pretty much anything else you can think of. There's entertainment in the form of games, musicians, snake charmers, and monkeys, the later 2 of which I don't endorse. But overall it's a great place to spend the evening and people watch.

This is a very famous plaza. There are tons of motocyclists, so you need to watch out and stay on your right. People are nice, but vendors are very sticky. If you are not interested in something, don't spend much time looking at it, or you will be insisted on buying. Make sure you ask for a better price because bargaining is something they truly enjoy. There are several good restaurants. Choose one with a rooftop to get great views of the plaza and the vendors with cobras and monkeys.

This square is a must visit place if you come to Marrakech. People is really friendly, sometimes a bit intense while trying to sell you food, but always with manners. The difference between the day and night is huge. Also in love with juices they instantly make.

Walking through Jemma el-Fnaa is an amazing experience every time I do it. Both the daytime and nighttime atmosphere is incredible with the square filled with performers, artists, henna women, snake charmers, juice sellers, music, and an ever changing crowd. There is nothing that fully captures the magic of this place.

One of the busiest squares in the world. Moroccan life and culture in all its variety can be experienced here. A must experience in Marakkesh. This North Africa at its best. Stalls and stalls of Moroccan food comes alive from sunset. For those who are more formal , restaurants surround the square on all sides. Village artisans peddle their wares leather, pottery , paintings , spices and handicrafts in the square. Friday nights are special with hundreds of nomadic performers entertaining small groups. The square is alive with snake charmers, monkey shows, jazz singers, stilt walkers, apply henna on your hands. On onside you have a line horse carriage one can engage for stroll through the city. Be ready to negotiate the price before doing anything including taking photographs.

It’s crazy how this square becomes so alive when it gets dark. There are traditional music and dances, different items sold. I would recommend to try the foods of the mobile food Stalls that mysteriously appears when it’s nighttime. Many people might call your attentions, wanting you to spend money. I find it sad that also animals are involved in this, most specially the Monkeys who are intelligent beings even capable of having emotions.

Nice Palace to walk about and learn the history of. Stalks nesting in the palace walls, which was lovely to see! The market is hectic and chaotic but has a vibrant and lively atmosphere. Beware, you will see snake charmers, monkeys on chains, and animals for sale, which may be upsetting. There are a couple of nice cafes to sit in and watch the hustle and bustle.

Extremely bustling, lively area with food and juice stalls in the middle and around the square. Food is delicious and cheap as chips. Amazing atmosphere and lots of locals eating and enjoying the delicacies such as snails and sheep's head, if that's for you. Keep your bags in front of you as pickpockets operate in the area. Must not miss the experience of jamaa el fna square.

Big touristic Square with lots of local products and artists. There are numbered sections with fish, meat and fruit where you can eat very fresh and delicious food very cheap. Be aware that looking like a tourist people are all over you to get them into their food place or buy products. Always friendly but can be too much sometimes.

It’s an open space. Interesting to explore and you can see a lot people selling the street food and juices. Also you see a lot of snake charmer with cobra and at night you can enjoy the street musicians. Just be careful with your stuff, bag, wallet, etc if you’re walking in this area.

It was a very unique experience to actually learn about the process of making leather garments and bags. The prices were negotiable for most items. Upon entry, we were given mint leaves as a distraction for the foul odor from the mixture to condition the leather.

Such an interesting place, well worth a visit. Hundreds of stalls, guys with monkeys and snake charmers galore! We've never been anywhere quite like it.

Utterly bonkers market, even more ridiculous at night. You will be hassled at just about every store/pitch, especially if you show the slightest bit of interest in their wares. The place to go if you want to eat sheep's head. Many bargains to be had, particularly from the vendors with no store or pitch that are selling from a blanket on the floor. Prepare to haggle. The sights, sounds, smells and overall experience is 'a must' in Marrakech.

Hectic as hell at all times, you will be hassled if you're a tourist but that's just the way it is. No aggression mostly asides from the Henna artists, make SURE you tell them no. They will grab your arm and try to start working on it. You are not being rude telling them to get lost.

I was not expecting all the stimulus you get here. Cobra charmers, chained monkeys, aggressive sellers, weird smells, all colors under the sun and non stop noise. An interesting experience that changes from day to evening. Regardless of the time, I think is worth stopping by and absorbing it all.

I was convinced Jamaa El Fna Square would be a touristy nightmare, filled with travelers wearing shorts, black socks and Fanny packs. However, on a Monday night in May, the iconic Jamaa El Fna Square was filled with locals celebrating the Moroccan culture, playing music, singing, dancing, and eating at the food stalls. It was a potpourri of travel stimulation, and although I am often a jaded traveler these days, I loved it. It felt good to be surprised.

Good experience, although not as majestic as it looks in pictures. Went in the day and it felt safe. The night was busy and full of entertainment but didn't feel as safe. However, I'm a single mum with 2 kids and I felt safe enough. Just be firm when sellers are pressuring you! We had food in a restaurant on the square with lanterns on the roof terrace. It was really clean and professional and food and drinks were fabulous. The sunset from the roof terrace over the market was stunning! Cantvrwmember the name of it but it's hard to miss with its glowing terrace.

It’s a great place to visit the markets of Marrakesh (from their leather products and traditional tea pots and ceramic products to clothes and food; you will find everything here) and it’s close to some historic sites like. As the sun starts to set, the center gets full of people showcasing their talents and food trucks so it gets really crowded and hot.

This place is soooo vibrant and just so Morocco. You gave to go here to feel the joy and excitement of the . Negatives... Lots of beggers about. Lots of children begging. Be very careful of thieves. I didn't like the snake charmers ewwwww!! Being able to barter was exciting. Got a couple of the long ladies robes for a better price than in the local shops. Brilliant holiday.

We found Jemaa El-Fnaa a great place to visit. Locally referred to as the main square or main market, it is best to visit in the evenings. We went in the beginning of November and we found this to be a great time to visit, the mornings are nice and cool, daytime reached mid to high 20s and evening is warm to cool, but not so cold that you need a jumper if you are from the UK. The market although open from morning, is est to visit from late afternoon onwards, it comes to life in the evening. The busy hustle and bustle of he market is a great atmosphere. There is plenty to see and lots of things to buy if you are in mood for some shopping. Plenty of food places , street performers including local traditional dances, snake charmers, monkey trainers, horse carriage rides and others. The traders will say a higher price if you are tourist, don't be out off , they expect you to haggle down :) and they do so without being pushy, in fact if the price is not agreeable you can simply walk away and say thank you, many time they will shout a cheaper price once you have walked away to draw you back. Always haggle. The Koutoubia mosque is right next to the market, it was closed for repairs, once done it should be open. Most restaurants you can walk into at this time of year they won't be that busy, there rooftop restaurants dotted all over the, those you might need to book a table for as they overlook the market, a great evening view. The outdoor market is surrounded by streets and alleys that are overflowing with shop keepers and their wares. We went without the kids but we can see that it is safe enough to visit with kids, just be mindful of the busy maze like streets and also the scooters that zip past you as you're walking, other than that it's great. Friendly place, friendly people, good food, good value items for shopping.

This is tourist central. It’s busy, over priced and it feels like every person is out to scam you. If you eat in the food market in the evening make sure you agree a price before you sit down. Ignore the snake charmers, the folk who have tied up monkeys and the henna ladies. Would recommend watching you tube videos about common scams that take place here.

Loved experiencing the Medina. We did a walking food tour and then went back shop on our own. Felt very safe and loved the experience. You haven't been to Marrakesh if you don't visit the Medina.

Lives up to its reputation as it transforms from a bustling, busy marketplace during the day to a lively light show at night with music, attractions, games and (more) food. Yes it’s not huge, it can feel chaotic and cramped particularly when busy, it starts to look the same and soon after you want to escape. But it’s a key point of interest in Marrakech and a bit of harmless fun for the most part. Go in and enjoy yourselves.

Beautiful place, very touristic and you can find whatever you can imagine to buy. Watch out, there are a lot of scammers tough. By night, the artists they play instruments, they dance and you can enjoy the spectacle by acrobatic artists for free. The food is very good and fresh, the experience is worth living.

It’s definitely an experience. So full of life and lights, music, good mood. Also a lot of people trying to sell things. But generally think it’s something that you definitely need to see with your own eyes in Marrakech

Crazy busy place You could buy anything under the sun here. The weather here is always amazing. Be careful of the sellers trying to rip you off, if you haggle to a reasonable price you're willing to pay you may walk away with a real bargain. Definitely worth a visit.

Beautiful soul. You can get everything you need. Be aware of people trying to scam. Vendors always tell you an exaggerated price. Always huggle. If you don't like the way just say thank you and move along. Most of them are not friendly with cameras bear this in mind. Ask permission.

Square is very famous for the performers and traders, but it's quite dirty, there are monkeys on neck chains, and the food is dodgy. There is a great buzz, though, and worth the visit. Just don't eat or entertain those who abuse animals

Very old palace and very well maintained. You will need about 3 hours to discover the place and seep in the antique beauty. Apart from the rich cultural heritage the palace also has a rose garden at the entrance. The ceilings of all the rooms are decorated in a unique manner. I would recommend it to all tourists in Marrakech. It makes a perfect spot for photography, so carry a great camera phone. Lots of mosaic work and fountains. Interesting place for Bachelor of Arts

A very impressive palace in the south of the Medina. A tour of about an hour. Inside there are amazing gardens, very impressive Islamic and Andalusian architecture. Stained glass windows and guest rooms and clothing for photography only. A truly magical place to walk around. Not a must, but if you haven't seen this impressive traditional architecture yet, go

Beautiful palace filled with different rooms, courtyards, intricate tilework, and cedar ceilings. It is known for their grand courtyard with the white tiles and blue wooden frames. Things to note: 1) One needs to pay for their ticket in cash 2) It gets VERY crowded in the middle of the day, so recommend coming right when it opens

Interesting and beautiful. Try to visit off peak hours, 10am is a good time, as it can get very crowded. Stunning architecture and Moroccan carving, artwork, fretwork etc. Well worth the entrance fee. Buying tickets in advance may help to skip the queue at busier times, not necessary off peak.

Beautiful palace, with wonderful architecture. Visited the palace with a guide, who showed the different part of the palace and how it was used by the king and his family. The palace walls are decorated with Arabic inscriptions and geometric patterns and flowers. The ceilings are made of cedar-wood and painted with colourful floral patterns. Very beautiful palace with loads of photo opportunities. But it's a very busy place, I guess early mornings will be less crowded. It's a must visit place in Morocco.

Lovely place with beautiful ornaments. And the best: no people try to sell you sth or bother you with questions. Very relaxing atmosphere in the small courtyards and side rooms. Definitely worth visiting as the other touristic Palasts are not in this condition. Highly recommend. The entrance costs 70 dirham per person (equals 7€)

Stunning architectures and detailed woodworks and curving, beautiful courtyards and patios waiting for u inside..Gorgeous mosaics and patterns, relaxing garden too.. u will enjoy taking many photos in this beautiful Bahia Palace... good thing it's not crowded during our visit that's why we really enjoyed the place..

The Bahía Palace is the home to some of the royal family members, but half of the building is now dedicated to the tourism. People like you and I can enjoy the architecture and rooms in the palace. The ticket is $5 and there was no wait.

The palace itself is nice, but I was expecting a bit more information provided explaining its history. It's a pity they don't offer guided tours and don't add enough descriptions/explanations written around, so I would recommend booking a private tour if you are interested in learning more and not just taking pictures. Be prepared to face a big crowd inside and loads of people taking pictures of every inch. We've been there around 12pm and the place was packed, so I would definitely recommend going early in the morning to avoid the hassle (and the heat).

It is a beautiful palace ...it is worthy visit. Take a guide. Ut is not expensive and he can give you the story of the palace. Come as a guests not as a visitors.

Quite expensive for what you’re seeing , not too exciting either. Mosaics and garden were pretty but as there is no furniture to see or material to read , it got a little monotonous. We can appreciate the beauty of the palace , but a supplemented tour guide would have made the trip much more worth it- we eavesdropped on a few tour guides people had hired who knew their history , but we couldn’t hang around them for too long …👂🏼

This palace is really an epitome of the saying “Don’t judge the book by its cover”. The exterior of the palace was just average but when you go inside, that’s where the grandiose and extravagance meet! The explanation of its details was really stunning and worth to know. It’s highly recommended to have a tour guide inside so your mind is fed with interesting stuffs and not just your eyes. It’s a must see in Marrakech city!

A wonderful place to visit - the gardens were beautiful as was the architecture, with the amazing attention to detail. There were some local craftspeople inside one of the buildings demonstrating traditional techniques such as hand carving stone and calligraphy. The only down side was that it was quite busy despite being a 'quiet' time.

Interesting, historical place to visit while in Marrakech. I recommend arriving near opening times to avoid crowds and to get better pictures with fewer people in the way... some of the guided tour groups will literally fill up a room and can be slow to move on to the next room. The entrance fee is reasonable, too.

Beautiful place, with beautiful architecture. But forget about taking perfect photos, it's so crowded and busy that you won't be able to take "clean" shots. These photos were taken by our guide, which managed to take us some pictures; ours are still on the SD cards, and we mainly captured details, as with wider angle shots you'll get a bunch of people all the time. Also, you have to buy tickets at the entrance (70 MAD per person, I believe), but our guide managed to skip the line. In my opinion, you should always consider hiring a guide (we booked ours through TripAdvisor), because he'll be able to teach you a lot of stuff and help you get to places more easily. We would have been a bit lost and wouldn't learn much about the places we visited without one.

This is a beautiful palace that is centrally located in Marrakech. It is easily navigated and includes many rooms and large squares that makes up a this large, beautiful palace. There is an amazing amount of tile work and I would encourage you to look up in the different rooms to see the beautiful, intricate designs that are unique to each room.

A very unique and different interior and architecture to witness especially, if you are from the west. Although, most of the things like floor and ceiling has been kept in its original form but lighting in some areas has been done using new fashion LED bulbs going contrary to the overall historic theme of the Palace

It’s epic! Full of history, beautiful gardens and stunning architecture. Paid 70 to get in. The palace closes at 15:00 during Ramadan! So make sure you get in before 2pm to ensure you can walk around for a good hour or so.

Extremely beautiful palace with intricate tile and artwork throughout. I love the garden with all of the trees ans flowers. It also has some impressive history attached to it so I would definitely look into it and learn before you go so you have a better understanding.

Another amazing place to visit in Marrakesh. BUILT BY GRAND VIZIERS TO be the greatest palace of its time, Bahia Palace was later looted by the Sultan and then occupied by the French. The vast palace still sometimes hosts the Moroccan royal family, but is more typically frequented by tourists who come to marvel at the fine architecture and intricate decorations.

Visited with guide and it was great . It has been built with a great architecture in mind with special Moroccan features. Has a small and large riad with great tree plantations in the smaller one in 4 areas as per the tradition. It is interesting to know that only a small portion of the palace has been opened to the public, while the rest still sits with the royal family. Overall a good place to visit and learn about Moroccon history!!

Without a tour guide, each ticket costs 70 Dirhams, & it is also just a few minutes walk from the Badi Palace. Just expect a lot of tourists wandering around because of this place’s popularity.

Definitely the highlight in Marrakech. The tickets cost 70MAD per pax and you can buy them at the counter outside the palace. Inside, there are rooms and rooms of beautiful interior. The intricacies and craftsmanship of each section is simply superb - it’s amazing how the palace had withstand the test of time and weather. Like what everyone else said, please remember to look up (and DOWN!) the ceilings and the tiles are the most beautiful to me. I love how the Arabic calligraphy adorned along the length of the wall. The garden is also nicely maintained and is lush and clean. Despite the crowd, you can easily find a crook or section to take photos. Washrooms are also available on-site!

Very cool place. Although small, the hand-carved ornaments are so detailed and prevalent throughout the main space that you get lost figuring out every stroke. It's also nice taking pictures inside the little rooms in the upper floors. Highly recommended.

To understand the place you will need a guide. What I liked was the small study rooms on the first floor. The main building was very similar to the one I visited in Fez. A good place for Instagram pictures.

I love this type of Arabic design and architecture & this venue was full of it. You cannot buy tickets on the website and so we bought them at the venue for about €5 a head. They only take cash. There is plenty of signage in multiple languages describing the history and restoration process. The inner courtyard is breathtaking with a calming pool. The quality of workmanship is fantastic and you are not under any pressure to be hurried or visit at a particular time. Highly recommended.

An absolute highlight of my trip to Marrakesh. Stunning architecture and only 20 dirham to enter. Fairly small (it will take less than twenty minutes to see the entire building), but a must-see never the less. No signage, but guides will offer to give you a tour. Even without context, it’s a beautiful building and my favorite site in Marrakesh.

Gorgeous building and very well kept. With beautiful calligraphy on the walls and ceilings, fabulous architecture, and calming and inspiring atmosphere, I would definitely recommend a visit. The only recommendation I have would be some signage to explain what each room is as you enter it.

When you see the entrance , it looks impressive but inside you have 134 same rooms without any furniture. It is good to visit as there are not many attractions in town. Ticket 50 MAD

Looks like I was very lucky because the place was closed the last three years by restorations, but the day I've been there, was opened. So beautiful building, incredible architecture.

Low entrance fee, guide available but not necessary. The architecture and tile work was amazing! You don't need to budget too much time for this, since most of the rooms are basically the same...the second level is all small sleeping rooms.

We almost didn't make it here but had some time to kill on our last day. Utterly worth going. The architecture is beautiful and some of the side streets are stunning.

Beautiful main outdoor area inside the walls. Decorations are extremely meticulously detailed. Other than the main area, the building is not very interesting; pray hall is nice, and some inside decorations are also beautiful, but a lot of small rooms mostly. Gets a 3/5 because you have to pay for the toilet, even though you already pay 50 MAD for access to the museum.

Stunning building full of incredible artisanal craftsmanship, possibly the finest I’ve seen in Marrakech. This is brought to life by the film of the restoration project that is shown inside, it is a shame that the film isn’t subtitled in English but it isn’t a problem as it is easy to follow and understand the painstaking work that has been put into the current glory of the building. Possibly the most impressive attraction I’ve seen in Marrakech and thoroughly recommended to visit.

This is one of the top 10 things to see in Marrakech. It was a university originally however you have to visit this building and it's landscape. The architecture on this building is amazing. Extremely historical and very nice photographs and videos can be taken here. I would highly recommend a visit to this place. Tickets were 100 Dirhams per person approximately 10 per person. There are toilet facilities in here and you would spend at least 1 hour and half if you want to enjoy and take nice photographs. It is located very close to the Medina about 10 minute walk or 5 minutes if your fast walking.

Fun place with amazing Moroccan architecture. Get lost wandering around Madrasa Ben Youssef as you learn about its origins. I suggest a your guide for the simple understanding and purpose of each area. Quite a beautiful place to visit.

This is a beautiful building. I would recommend getting here either early or late to avoid the crowds. It's a visual feast. There are some great videos showing the restoration process. It's not as ornate as some of the Arabic palaces as it was a school but it's still hugely impressive and worth visiting

Historic Islamic college. You can still see the classrooms. Entrance fee when I went was 50Dh. Loved the building as it screamed cultural architecture. Wasn’t quite busy as I visited in Feb, 2024. Put this on your to visit list when in Marrakesh.

Wonderful historical building. Bahia palace is similarly build as Madrasa, but being the first one to visit of the 2, we were pleasantly impressed by the style. Colourful, full of details and history. The price of 70 dirhams felt well worth it. Recommend visiting early in the day or just before closing as it can get very crowded during the day. Payment is cash only and there are audios explanations available for renting.

You live the history here. It’s an amazing place. Very beautiful decorated. Everybody should visit this place. It can be better to visit at early hours because it was very crowded in the afternoon.

Nice monument to visit during the day, beautiful architecture and nice parks and gardens nearby to be enthralled by. The parks are very well maintained and the streets are generally clean but didn't see any drinking fountains. Carry a hat, water and sunscreen, it can get very sunny even in winter.

Beautiful mosque located near the famous square Jemma El Fna. A historical landmark that has been here for hundreds of years. You are allowed to enter if you're Muslim. The mosque can be seen from afar and it's a beautiful site. Definitely a must see while in Marrakesh.

Really enjoyed visiting here. While not as impressive as the one in Casablanca, this is a 12th century mosque so really impressive for its age. You can get some fantastic pictures if you wander around it, especially from the park just behind it. Well worth a visit.

Beautiful historic landmark of Marrakech. You can only enter when you're Muslim but it's very beautiful from the outside as well. You can walk around it and there's a nice park behind it where you can take nice pictures.

Beautiful mosque (visited here roughy 15yrs ago), unfortunately couldn’t go inside as there is work going on. There were slight damages due to the recent earthquake in Morroco on 08.09.23.

Don’t visit Marrakesh and not stop here to pray one salaah or visit. Lovely Mosque. If possible walk with a bag to put your shoes in when entering the prayer area. If you dont have one, there will be ladies there just make sure to give them a small contribution.

The oldest Mosque in Africa. Dated back 13th Century. I am very fortunate to pray inside. There is women section as well. Sorry to say that they don't allow non Muslims for visiting.

A must visit in Marrakesh, an iconic mosque with rich history and cultural legacy, many stories are associated with this place, it appears when the present mosque was built, there was a cluster of more than 100 booksellers, so it's called Kutubiyyin, booksellers mosque also,entry is free, as this is an active place of worship, it's necessary to wear proper dress and maintain decorum.

What a hidden gem in Marrakech! The museum is very interesting if you enjoy photography and would like to see Marrakech throughout the years. The building is also worth the visit on it's own and it has a beautiful, peaceful terrace with an amazing view, where you can enjoy your tea or coffee. Definitely like an oasis in the hustle and bustle of Marrakech. Highly recommend 👌

Small black and white photography museum with a nicely curated collection of photos providing a glimpse of the history of Morocco. Many photos are very powerful and the video that’s playing is also extremely interesting. The photos are on three floors and you can access the rooftop restaurant at the end to rest and have a mint tea. You might spend no more than 45-60min for your visit but that depends on your love for history and photography. It is one of our favorite places to visit in Marrakech.

Beautiful photography collection in a well maintained and recently restored riad. The staff is particularly nice and speaks good english. Entry fee is 50 dirham and the staff told us we can use the tickets to return the next day as well. They have a well stocked shop as well, with good quality prints from their collection. They also have a terrace from which you can see the city skyline, with food and drinks at normal center restaurants prices (around 20 dirham per drink and 60-70 dirham per dish).

Lesser well known and tucked away museum/gallery, with less tourists (one other person when I went towards the end of the day). Beautiful photos of local people and history in a wonderful historic building. Friendly and helpful staff member at reception, felt much more welcoming and more informal than the other tourist-hungry sights.

Nice exhibition of everyday life in Morocco from almost a hundred years ago. Different collections from European photographers that managed to capture the beauty of the once international city of Tangiers and their stories. To finish your visit, you can grab a refreshing drink on the rooftop terrace or grab a bite. I highly recommend the lemon and mint juice! The staff is really welcoming and nice. If you're into photography this is a must visit.

It is a small little museum, containing pictures taken in Morocco from 1880 to early 90s. It was not crowded by the time we visited and we could enjoy and explore all the images showing the life of Moroccans in that period of time. The rooftop terrace they have is nice, with a great view over Medina. You can also enjoy a tee or some food here.

Small hidden gem. 3 floors full of 19th/20th century photography and exhibition prints of Marrakech (and its people) and surrounding areas. Entry only $5. Front entrance has a prolific collection of prints, magnets, and postcards you can purchase to take home, and the cashier will wrap them carefully for transport. Professional prints range from around $15 to $150+.

Getting to the museum was a little bit challenging not because you cant find it or because of missing signs but some locals will tell you that it is closed or that it was damaged etc. They want to send you to some their places that they think are better for you. Now to the real review of the place. Museum is really beutifull place to be. Their collection of photography start at 1860 if I am correct they show the old Morroco and how the life used to be there. The photographs take back in time and let you see how the real berber people used to live. On top of the museum is a terrace i recommend you to sit there and get a tea it provides really nice view across the city because it is one of the tallest building in the neighbourhood. Tea cost there in time of the visit 15 MAD. Which was really good price. Fully recomended! Visit it, see it, learn and enjoy!

It may be small, but the house is crammed with enchanting photos that really engage the visitor. Looking into the faces of the subjects seems to transport you into their worlds in a way that is almost magical. Some of the photos are particularly moving and provoke powerful even disturbing emotions. The video presentation on show is extremely interesting, and despite its age, it is worth sitting for. There's also a delightful terrace to enjoy a mint tea if you wish.

My favourite destination in Marrakesh. A rich and small museum in the old city. Most of the pictures there are wonderful; some are masterpieces. They will give you a great view of Morocco’s past and society. The building itself is nice with a beautiful terrace.

A beautiful collection of photographs of Moroccan people from the 19th century onwards. I suggest coming near to closing time to catch the stunning view of the city and the surrounding mountains from the terrace at sunset

Very interesting museum and a lovely space. The photos give you a feel for Morocco before the advent of globalisation. If you like things for tourists that don't feel touristy, this is definitely worth a visit. Also, watch some of the little film about the berbers.

This is really beautiful and I recommend everyone to go see it. The place is not big so compared to El Badii palace and Bahia palace it is a little expensive but in my opinion it is worth all the money. The price is 70 DH. They open at 9 am and I recommend to come early before to many tourists arrive. Because the place is small it can be difficult to get the full experience if there is a lot of people. We were the first to arrive so we also got some nice pictures without other people in them.

The tombs are nice, but I still can't decide if visiting them was worth it or not. The entrance fee is 70 MAD, inside there is a small cemetery and two tombs. You can explore the cemetery and the smaller tomb in 10 minutes. There's a queue for the larger tomb. I waited for about an hour, almost the whole time in the sun. In the end, you can only peek inside the tomb anyway. If you have only a limited amount of time, I recommend to visit the palaces instead.

Small, but pretty. However, the queue for the main chamber was very long, and at 2 o'clock in the afternoon with the sun blazing down we just didn't bother. There was enough to see, and seats in the shade, without risking sun stroke! Maybe earlier on the morning would be better?

It wasn't very crowded. Architecture and artwork was amazing, and the grounds were beautifully designed. You only need about 20-30 minutes, even with a guide, since it's pretty small.

It costs 70 Dirhams (6,8€) per Adult to go inside. Once inside you have a big queue to see a few tombs inside a room. Absolutely not worth it and it took 40 minutes to see the tombstones. Other than that you don’t have anything to see. Would rather recommend Bahia Palace.

A little small but nice to have visited. Interesting history. One building was being repaired it seems. I expect due to damage from the recent earthquake. 70dhr seemed too excessive as an entry fee tho.. As in all of Marrakech en Morocco there where a few cats as well! They might have been the highlight of my visit here.

Wonderful experience to see some beautiful chambers filled with tombs, not to mention all the tombs that are laid out around. For the best experience, I recommend going early in the morning when they open, otherwise there are large lines and tour groups. I think if you've only got 70 MAD to spend, better to visit the Badi Palace which costs the same. Having said that, whilst this isn't a huge place, it does showcase beautiful mosaics and stone work with the tombs and if you go fairly early the grounds are very peaceful. A little bit of restoration work is going on at the far end if the site repairing earthquake damage.

The tombs are quite nice, hidden behind thick walls and is an oasis from the bustling city. It's about 70 Dihram to enter. Probably spend about 30 minutes inside. Not a whole lot to see but it's nice architecture. There are also some signs describing what you see which is nice.

The intricate and extremely detailed architecture here is amazing. Waiting a few mins to see the main tombs is highly worth it and if you time it right the line won't won't even be that long. Not sure why it's rated so low as it's really nice tho small.

We paid 70 dirhams pp (€7) and we saw everything in 10minutes. It’s a nice place, but not worth the money. Ps: we visited in December at 16h. There was no queue, and we needed to pay cash. It was open until 17h, though google maps mentioned 16h

Landmark you should not miss when visiting Marrakech. It has meaningful history for the family of the Sultan of Morocco.

The place is nice but the entrance is rather pricey for what's inside to see. You'll end up doing a huge queue to step next to the fence to see the tombs. Then it is basically just the garden, not sure if there used to be more to see here or not before the earthquake, but not worth the money.

This is a very small place but quite spectacular. We paid for the guide and he was really worth it. We hadn't had a guide elsewhere and he explained a lot of things we'd been curious about. Same price as the palaces. Very different and much smaller but extremely well maintained. Recommend.

Wow, exploring the Saadian Tombs in Marrakech was like stepping into a magical time capsule! The architecture and stories behind each tomb were absolutely captivating. As a solo adventurer, I felt like a modern-day Indiana Jones uncovering ancient treasures. The only downside? The ticket price was a bit of a wallet whisperer. Still, totally worth it for the adventure!

May god's mercy be upon them. This cemetery's door opens to a magical world, it was far from the Marrakechs loudly traffic when you enter the gate. We paid 10 drhs as foreigner students who studies at Morocco, but the civil adult's price was 70 drhs. Recommend you to visit it.

It is not worth it. Don't be fooled by the short queue to buy a ticket, the real queue is inside and no one will tell you until you have paid. Over an hour in line in the sun to look at the tombs. What I recommend is to save 70dh, look at my photos and invest your time and money in any other activity.

The Saadian tombs date back to 1603, but lay forgotten and hidden behind walls next to the Moulay El Yazid Mosque. It was interesting to see the mosque and the architecture. Not a lot to see. Very busy inside with a queue to see through the central window. There are other windows. This queue for the central window was about two hours long. So get there early and you can buy your tickets there. They only take cash, (70dh each) a bit dated to only take cash. It will take you 20 minutes to see it all, so a quick site. The toilets are free.

Beautiful place to visit when in Marrakech. Entrance is easy to find and is ticketed. Tickets are not very expensive and can be purchased at the entrance easily. It was not very crowded when we visited. The descriptions inside were mainly in Arabic and French however there was a room with a video explaining the history of this palace in English language. Around 30-40 mins should be enough to see the whole place.

Was lucky with time, just a few tourists around. Well recommended but bring water with you if you visit in a very hot season. Not advisable for heart problems or weak, the place is huge, maybe good when not so hot.

Great place to spend a few hours exploring. Admission is 70 MAD and you can do a self guided tour. Many descriptions unfortunately lack an English translation. There are also various pieces of French artwork scattered throughout.

Large palace built in 1500s. With an underground dedicated to an art collection. Lots of orange trees. The toilets had hand showers and were so clean. Tickets for entry were 70 dirhams about 5 pounds.

I thought it was a nice walk and an interesting historical place. Inside you don’t have many explanations in English, only French and Arabic, still I thought it was worth going. It was 70 MDH per person. To the people comparing it to European standards. If that’s what you want surely you should go visit European cities then :) I think is worth is if you like to wonder about and see things in Marrakech.

Absolutely beautiful on a sunny day. 70 dirhams for entry for non-Moroccans. There is an underground photography museum as well as a terrace for a lovely panoramic view. Went in March 2022 in the afternoon and wasn't too busy!

Beautiful old place where the sultan received his guests. The price of admission was 70Dhs, and totally worth it. It has 4 beautiful garden patches below the ground level so they don't obstruct your view and some water.

A very nice big palace to explore. They're mostly ruins but well maintained and you really get a feel for what the palace must have been like when people (the sultan) lived there. Entrance is only 70MAD and you can easily spend an hour or two. I loved the big courtyard and the pool in it. There's also a bit of a labyrinth below ground and a tower you can climb for a view over the grounds and the city. We went in winter and there were a lot of storks who had their nests there which made it extra fun. Definitely recommend going there when in Marrakech.

Despite being a one of the most touristy spots in Marrakech, it was surprisingly quiet and serene (note that we did visit the palace at 2 PM in mid summer). We ended up wondering around the palace for 2+ hours and not willing to leave. After the never ending buzzing street of Marrakech medina, Badi palace is the perfect place to decompose. On top of that, the history of the place is quite fascinating on its own.

Interesting and beautiful. Try to visit off peak hours, 10am is a good time, as it can get very crowded.

Such a great experience in the heart of Marrakech history. Architecture, history and the annexe are all amazing. An extraordinary time travel experience. The fee for Moroccans is 10dh. As for foreigners it's 70dh. I highly recommend it.

Succumb to a unique architectural experience with Badi Palace’s ruins. Without a tour guide, each ticket costs 70 Dirhams. The palace’s walls complements the sun’s colour, & the entire place just speaks of historical significance with its atmosphere.

Worth popping in if you're visiting the Bahia Palace which is close by. The catacombs contain an interesting collection of photographs and paintings, explaining the history and renovation of the palace. The courtyard is impressive and there are several rooms around the square with additional exhibitions.

One of my favourite places in the whole of Marrakech! Such beautiful ruins and Palace, with Storks with nests above the ruins☺️. Plenty of cats roaming around too! Would definitely recommend this place for the eye candy and for the history 😋

The Bahia palace was closed but getting to visit this spot gave us the perfect history fix! While I feel like it would have been better with a tour guide, the ruins were lovely to wander around! It was also amazing to see the storks in the wild!

If you love exploring historical ruins than you should definitely see this place. Takes you back In time. Some areas are closed off and also there isn't English translation everywhere but still enjoyed it!

Worth a visit if you are visiting Bahia Palace as it’s is only a short walking distance. You can purchase the ticket at the counter. The local guide with me was not great at explanation so I did not get a clear idea on the history of the palace, had to revert back to good, old Google for help! The tour brings you to an underground rooms with interesting pictures, though the explanation is not entirely on Badi Palace and it’s not all in English.

Beauty and peaceful garden. Located in the middle of the Medina, it is a lovely example of a Moor garden. The main fountain is built under a lovely gazebo and it's so relaxing to sit and relax listening to the water and the birds. The view from the cafe is breathtaking. A must!

By far our favourite place we visited in Marrakech. An oasis of calm and beautifully restored. The video onsite was great to explain how they built and designed the garden. The cafe was very reasonably priced and was a lovely place for a mint tea on the terrace. If you love gardens/plants, you'll appreciate it even more!

What a beautiful place! This place has a curated garden with plants from all over the planet. There’s plenty places to sit and there’s even a cafe. Because of how popular it is, we almost didn’t go because the line up at opening time was quite long. I would avoid peak times and target end of day to cool down and have a tea in the shade. The garden is not huge but it’s two squares and a basin as well as a tower with a view. You could take time to sit down and soak in the beauty of the landscape against the Moroccan architecture.

What a beautiful dual garden, although a bit pricey at 100 MAD, I think it's worth it. I spent all morning here, plenty of shaded places to see and listen to the bird song. A distinctive smell permeates the air from a flower I couldn't identify but is spread throughout the garden. The irrigation system is fascinating; water coming from the Atlas mountains under a gravity system via underground channels dug a thousand years ago. For an extra 40 MAD you can have a guide take you up the tower for the best views in Marrakesh. The tower doesn't look that high but only the minarets of the mosques are higher. I recommend coming early, ideally at opening time. This place is popular and gets very busy by late morning with queues for the ticket office

Well worth the small price to enter. Not a long visit but quite a pleasant one. Very much worth to stop and the history of the way they got water from the Atlas mountains to Marrakech was worth it.

This place has become one of my favourite spots in Marrakech. The entrance fee is 80 dirhams, we were there for opening to avoid crowds and enjoy the serenity of the gardens. Recommend you do the same if you wish to get the same experience. It’s a beautiful space, the gardens are magnificent, well kept and manicured. Truly an amazing gem, like many of Marrakech the facade it’s quite simple but the beauty tends to lie on the inside. Divided into two compounds, the colors and choices of vegetation are meticulously planned. There’s a cafe as well where you can enjoy a morning tea and biscuit. I cannot recommend this place enough, I will definitely come back if I visit Marrakech again.

If you haven’t seen gardens in your life before, you may find this really unique. It’s not bad but it’s more like a 10-minute walk if walk slow. Too Small. And the entrance fee of €8 for tourists is ridiculous! It’s not the Louvre! Totally overpriced. This really should be free! This type of “gardens” are free in so many countries. They make money from the coffee shop (which they also have). The ambience is nice. I recommend you to bring a book with you and sit there and read it. There isn’t anything else to do!

The secret garden consists of two separate gardens, an exotic garden and an Islamic garden. There are beautiful fountains, waterways, a gazebo, a cafe, and plenty of soft benches to take a short nap. There are a lot of signs explaining the history and plants all around. It's a surprisingly large garden, and I would recommend the tower tour. The views are good, but what made it even more impressive was the tour guide who provides lots of history.

Beautiful gardens right in the heart of the medina. Loved our time here. It has so many medicinal herbs and fruit trees. Plenty of spots to sit in the shade of the beautiful trees. Didn’t take the tower tickets. So not sure what’s up there. Feel free to take a look at my videos to get a better idea of these gardens.

An oasis of tranquility amidst the madness of the streets of Marrakech. Payment on entry with additional money for a guided tour of the tower. Best to visit off peak times as this place can get very busy. There are other nicer gardens in marrakech and other examples of mosaics, carvings, ceiling art etc but this place is still just about worth the entrance fee.

Me and my husband visited this garden and enjoyed our time here. It was very beautiful and calm! Took lovely pictures as well. I recommend coming here to sight see, there’s so many different plants here from all over the world.

Unbelievable how quiet it can get behind the walls of the jardin secret. You truly can leave all the business and hectic of the souk at the door behind. And dive into this blooming green oasis. It is of course well visited as are the other must-sees in Marrakech but in a quieter way. And (of course) first you have to find it, for it truly is well hidden in the souk ;)

Le Jardin Secret is just about the perfect way to start a holiday in Marrakech, we'd arrived very late the night before so wanted something undemanding but beautiful and this really fitted the bill. We were staying in a riad just off the Jemaa Al Fna and so this was really only a short walk to get there, courtesy of Google Maps which we found invaluable for negotiating the narrow and crowded streets of the Medina. You can just buy tickets for the garden or a ticket for the garden and the tower inside the garden, which is what I bought. The gardens are a delight. We had seen them in the BBC television series "Monty Don's Paradise Gardens" a few years ago and thought how attractive it looked in its classic Islamic garden layout; at the time the series was made the garden had been freshly renovated but now it has matured into a beautiful and relaxing place with lots of shaded areas and plenty of benches where you may sit to drink it all in. After a wander round enjoying the garden we went up onto an elevated terrace where they have a café for a drink and the opportunity to see the garden from a different perspective. While my wife lingered over her refreshments I joined the tower tour with a charming young guide who took our group up the steps in the tower and explained its history and the significance its decorations. From the top the views were wonderful and we could see the snow covered Atlas mountains through the mist. Then, suddenly, we heard the call to prayer started from one of the mosques; then the next one took it up, then the next and so on in order from West to East across the city and it was beautiful and I counted over twenty minarets in view from our vantage point. If you go there this was during the 12h00 tour. Back down in the garden I found my wife and took some photos and then, on the way out, we discovered another café where we decided might be a good place to have lunch and this proved an excellent choice as the food was delicious.

Such a beautiful and relaxing place, it makes you almost forget that it’s surrounded by the souks. Absolutely nice to sit and relax for a moment. You have to pay a fee to get inside. You can also go to the tower, but that will also cost you an extra fee. I did not do this and just went to the terrace for a beautiful overview.

If you have been walking all day in the busy, noisy souks and want a few minutes of peace, then this is the place to go. It opens at 9.30am. And once in, it's very peaceful here. You can spend 30 minutes up to a couple of hours if you stay for food at the restaurant and do the tower tour. The tower tour is extra and must be booked when getting the tickets, but well worth it for the views, takes about 20 minutes as the tour guide will lead you up and gives a brief history of the place. I went at 9.30 am, and it wasn't very busy, but as the time went on, it did get busier.

One of the nicer places in the medina to escape the chaos of the everyday hustle-and-bustle. There's an entry fee, but it's well worth it. You can't even hear the noise of the market and motorbikes while here.

Amazingly relaxing and peaceful place hidden in the chaos of the medina souks. Amazing aromas of citrus, lavender and rosemary. Interesting and informative exhibits on the restoration of the gardens from dilapidated accommodation to palatial gardens. Great cafes, fantastic food and fast wi-fi for planning your next move. One of the highlights of my most recent trip to Marrakech, highly recommended.

The most Secret garden in the oldest medina in Marrakech, it's very colorful and very organized with a very beautiful view and you can admire in the morning a very unique birds songs and an exceptional quitely mood . I recommend highly this romantic and very charming gardens, you can discover alone or in couple or also with a big group, the place is very attractive and unique. Of course I return very quick with a lot of friends and groups, I hope make a great EVENT'S in the secret garden but the event not will be Secret... Congratulations and kindly regards 🙏🙏🙏

We were in two minds about visiting this place. The price of an adult ticket is about €10 for a garden but when you discover its their only source of funding - it's well worth the money. There are two gardens and it's lovely to sit in the shade and take in the sights and sounds not to mention the smells of the plants. There is also a cafe where you can enjoy refreshments such as tea and beer. There are public toilets with interesting China wash basins. I loved this place and would highly recommend a visit.

We really enjoyed this garden. It's right in the centre of old Marrakesh and it's a real pass of calm and tranquility. Here you can escape the huddle and bustle of the markets for a bit. We had some mint tea under the veranda and just chilled. The tower tour is worth doing too. I'm a horticulturist. The gardens are a bit immature but the while renovation is incredible. I'll definitely come back over the years as it will be great to see the gardens mature

Lovely tranquil place to visit, very nice gardens, not too busy (March 12th @ 2pm). Looked like a nice cafe (one downstairs and one on the terrace), plus clean washrooms. Seating all through the gardens and just a very restful spot. Also worth a visit to the gallery showing how the gardens were found and took shape. Very interesting historically.

Very much loved the truly secret garden🌴 Hidden between busy Marrakech Medina streets. Take time to sit and relax there. There is cafe inside with good priced food and beverages. Kind staff.

It really is just two quadrangles of garden. It was quite busy when we went so we didn’t really get the desired tranquility. Costs to enter and not sure it was great value for money in light of the limited information given about the history. Over all still a fairly interesting place to visit. There is a restaurant and cafe but we did not partake.

This is a nice place to visit if you want to see a hidden garden in Marrakech. There is a lot of history here. I would recommend a visit to here if you like historical sites and want peace and calm while in Marrakech. The entrance fee is 100 Dirhams about 10 Euro for 2 people.

Fully renovated and a very particular attention to detail. Great place to have a nice and relaxing break. It was not too crowded and we got in very fast without reservation. Price for the ticket is fair, since the money is used to maintain the garden. They don’t get governmental subsidy

Beautiful place to relax. Soothing sound of water flowing and birds. Beautiful citrus plants around. Couple of cafes are inside one had a roof top. Well maintained place. Bit expensive to get it but totally worth visiting.

This is one of the most peaceful experiences in Marrakech. The gardens are well maintained and beautifully designed. There are many areas to sit and relax, many of which are private. The views from the tower are great but won't be great if you're shorter as the walls are high.

We were sold the wrong ticket, it was supposed to be to Rabat, yet we only got to Casablanca, although we must have told it twice what it should be like. I had problems on the train because of this and had to buy a additional ticket. Apart from that, the station building itself is beautiful, clean and well-maintained. Free wifi and toilets available. Great selection of restaurants and cafes.

Nice train station with restaurants and infrastructure to support people waiting for trains. The building is beautifully designed with both modern and traditional influence. Overall a good experience.

I love this train station because of the exterior design, the interior design, and the staff. By itself, the station is really nice to look at and enjoy the fast food chains next to it. The design is modern but retains its Moroccaness. The inside is also really interesting. The space is clean, and the signs show you directly where and how to go about your process. It is so interesting to go through it because you go right through if you have a ticket, which is really nice. The staff is nice, but I want to thank the cleaning personnel who make sure the toilets are clean!! Amazing work, folks.

It's very clean, a lot of seating places available, supratours buses drop off here. The toilet was clean, they have several eating outlets.

Main railway station in Marrakesh and where you get your train to Casablanca from. The station is modern and has fantastic Arabic architecture. I was after some Moroccan currency and could not find a cash machine anywhere though there are a number of Bureau de Change outlets. The destination board is in Arabic but the information is displayed in other languages on separate information boards. If travelling by train, it is recommended that you print off your tickets in advance. There is a ticket office but it's usually busy with travellers buying tickets at the last minute. There are toilets but these were not as modern as the rest of the station. Taxis can be found on the right hand side of the station. Always agree the fare up front and haggle.

A beautiful building which represents the roots of Moroccan culture. Very clean station with various services like restaurants, public toilets, ATM, telecommunication services and café.

Beautiful train station (gare). There are a number of retaurants inside if you wait for your train. Unfortunately some shops have closed. All in all ok place to wait for a short while before you get onto the train.

The main hall looks nice and is clean. There are a few cafes to choose from while waiting for your train. The platforms can only be entered with a ticket to train. Every passenger is checked for a ticket by the entrance.

Marrakech train station is both beautiful and efficient. The architecture is amazing with few rivals. The smell of flowers fills the platforms air as you move to your train. This is a favorite of mine across the world.

Easy to navigate and signage is in Arabic, French, English, and Spanish. If you need help, staff members wearing vests and hats are easy to locate to ask for assistance. The architecture is beautiful to look at while you wait for your train.

I took the train to Casablanca. The architecture of it is pretty old and nice. It is big enough and the people there are kind. I didn't go to cafeterias but it seems that is a good option. The walk to get there from the center is pretty nice and enjoyable

Marrakech train station is impressively clean and organized. Grab a quick bite at MacD. The staff is super helpful. Train info is in Arabic on screens. I recommend booking a first-class ticket in advance for 180 MAD from Marrakech to Casablanca. Trains are clean and well-maintained

Very clean and spacious train station. The staff was quite helpful. We had bought her tickets online and weren’t sure if we needed to print them out or if we could use them directly from our phones. We waited in line and spoke with one of the agents who told us we could use The digital tickets from her phones. They were quite helpful. Also, before boarding the train, we asked the process for the time to board the train. You’ll find some restaurants in small convenient stores where you can purchase water snacks for the train right ahead

Clean easy access safe no rush maybe it was low season in Dec. It operates fast Alburaq train limited places and Atlas train , there is help information office they are friendly . Close to Superatours bus station

Very nice! I stepped off the train, and I felt as if I had stepped into a movie. The station captures the ambience of Morocco. It’s spacious and clean. They have several places to relax while you wait. The typical hagglers are outside. Just ignore them, and they will move on to other people.

Very clean and efficient. The trains were on time and very comfortable. We showed up early and the ticketing station was able to change our tickets to an earlier time without any fee.

We went to the Yves Saint Laurent museum on a Friday afternoon in November. There was no line to get the tickets. We didn't buy any tickets in advance. I assume it's pretty crowded in summer so during that time it would be good to get tickets in advance. The museum itself is not that big but nice to walk around and read about Yves Saint Laurent and admire the dresses that are on display. There is also a small movie theater where you can watch sort of a documentary about him. Nice to watch. Overall I can recommend visiting the museum if you are interested in fashion or Yves Saint Laurent ;)

Please note, you can only buy tickets online. I had finished early at the gardens but they allowed me in an hour before my ticketed time. Unlike the gardens (reviewed separately) I think the museum is worth visiting. Many of his beautiful creations (Dresses, Jackets) on display, unfortunately no photos of these allowed. The only other YSL museum is in Paris. Well worth stopping at the little cinema room to watch a film about his career. He had a close relationship with the artist Ulrich Gassmann who created many drawings/paintings of the gardens & interiors of YSL properties. I've included some of these in my photo attachments.

It may be awesome if you’re deeply into fashion but that’s not me. Pro tip: The upside here is you can purchase combination tickets to this museum plus the YSL gardens. This allows you to bypass the extremely long ticket purchase like at the gardens. But you still have to wait in the gardens entry line.

We visited the museum along with the gardens. Over all it is small and you don’t really need much time at either one of those places. A bit too expensive for what it is. Good to get a taste of them, but nothing extraordinary. Favorite part was the short video about YSL history. People get crazy with taking pictures at the gardens, so I recommend going early in the day to enjoy the park.

What a special place! I cannot recommend this enough. If you have any interest in design or fashion this is the place to be. I felt so inspired. We stopped at the cafe and had a lovely coffee and it wasn’t too expensive. The gift shop is very well stocked and I wanted to buy everything. The collection itself was breathtaking, however you aren’t allowed to take pictures which only adds to the wonder. Definitely pop this at the top of your list of you’re visiting Marrakesh!

Beautiful building and space with a nice cafe, but limited in terms of what to see, other than the building itself. However, given the history of YSL and influence Marrakesh had on YSL, plus the area around the museum is also great, so worth going.

Very nice building and architecture which symbolises a triquot textile. It’s a bit small but nicely done. The bar is also nicely done with a view on the building and some greenery. They should offer some snacks though, there are only drinks available. You can buy tickets online which is recommended. Note that the museum opens at 10am (not 9am as stated here in google).

A 5 star museum but I gave 4 stars because we had to wait 15 minutes under unbearable noon sun (which felt like an hour) in the entrance queue although we bought our tickets online. You can spend 3-4 hours in two museums and the garden. It's a bit pricey (45£ per person for the bundle) but it's a once in a lifetime experience so it's worth it.

An extra ordinary experience with different layers! Not only feeling like being a part of a great landscape but also learning about the history of one of the leading fashion brands, a genius designer and a love story. Cafe outside of the museum offers a generous sunbath and delicious foods. Souvenir store has diverse options.

It's a pretty good museum, very well put together, and the gift shop is very cute indeed. Staff are very friendly and there are multiple places to take memorable photos. I would say - I didn't agree with the no water bottles situation at the door, I didn't see how bottled water will cause an issue, even though there are clothing items displayed. Some of the most memorable fabric or painting museums in London do not have the same strict policies. Also, there are no photos to be taken in quite a lot of the museum areas - it's not something that people might want to replicate, but just as a memorable thing. Despite all this, I would go back again for the cute gift shop items and cards and the fact that staff are kind helps a lot. It's a clean space too with a nice sitting area 🙏🏼 I would recommend buying a ticket prior otherwise there's a bit of a wait sometimes. Beautiful architecture and student ticket availability which was great 👌🏼

A great building! In love with the architecture. The brick in the building is so photogenic. The sketches/ garments were beautiful too- so good for fashion design as well. The store had post cards and books. There is a restaurant as well. Remember that you have to buy tickets in advance! Also: no water bottles allowed but you leave them in the front and come back and pick them up.

This museum has some of the famous gowns on display, some artwork as well, but I was most fascinated by the desert gardens on this huge estate. The colors are vivid and the fountains look surreal. The collection of plants is amazing as you stroll through the gravel pathways. There is a cafe to enjoy the courtyard as well. A must see attraction in Marrakech.

Very beautiful garden. Every corner, every spot give you a beautyfull view of nicely put plants and trees. If you enjoy nature you will like this garden. I was lucky to wait 10 minutes in a row thanks to my friends who waited 30mins to get in. But remember turtoues will waite for you any way ;)

Great museum, very stylish and a pleasure to visit. It is small so you will be ready in like 30min but plan some time for the inhouse cinema. It‘s a nice and cozy cinema where they play fashion shows, interesting to watch. Tickets can be bought only online and for a certain day and time. But if you show up a bit earlier, there is no problem to go inside without waiting for your entry time.

The museum boasts beautiful architecture that adds to the overall experience. Once inside, you'll have the chance to watch a compelling video showcasing YSL's iconic catwalks through different eras. Additionally, the museum houses an extensive collection of sketches and original designs, providing a glimpse into the evolution of fashion over time. As someone with limited knowledge of fashion, I found the experience enjoyable, but it didn't leave a lasting impression that would prompt a return visit.

This is an amazing place to be in admissions or via online ticket booking system. When we went there, it was so nice but it was so crowded and I couldn’t enjoy much. There are people all around. It’s very hard to take decent photos. Overall experience is good.

Relatively cheap, but not a lot to see. There were 2-3 small exhibits, and the auditorium which played the same video as the museum in Paris. Overall could be in and out within 30-60 minutes

This place is unreal! It’s so boujie and every picture you take here comes out phenomenal. The museum was really fascinating and we loved to see all the art work and exhibitions displayed inside the museum. Loved it here and if you’re ever in Marrakesh, please do visit! We booked tickets online in advance for the YSL Museum and we also booked tickets for Jardin Majorelle too which cost roughly £22 per person altogether, (280 dirhams pp)
