The view was amazing. I honestly enjoyed the experience. Fortunately, I went on my birthday day, so it was for free, and my partner paid R300 for the ride. It was fortunate we went on Friday, so the place was literally empty, we were able to enjoy the ride just the two of us and am so happy about that. There are few restaurants to choose from and a nice view to take pictures. We bought chicken and it was so amazing.

We arrived at 10:00 on a Sunday, bought tickets and went up without waiting. The views are really beautiful but due to it being winter, visibility wasn't as good as it would be on a clear summer's day. Once at the top, we ordered pizzas and made ourselves comfortable on the bean bags. It was a lovely day that was concluded with delicious ice cream. Upon exiting the parking at around 14:00, the queue to buy tickets was very long and we were thankful we were leaving and not arriving. Overall it was a great experience and good value for money! Suggestions for the restaurant: - Please employ more staff or improve your ordering system, since the queue to order got very long (one staff member takes orders and pours drinks - this is not sustainable). - More seating suitable to an older demographic will be appreciated - chairs with back rests, for example.

Really nice. Wonderful views. Very clean and neat, restrooms are also very clean and well maintained. Great service and chilled vibe when you get to the top with a lovely grassy area with some beanbags to lounge around. Walking trails as well, no trash in sight, very clean. Plenty of tables and seating areas. Get there early to avoid queues but more importantly to enjoy more time at top.

By far one of the most beautiful experiences I have had! The view was so beautiful. Went on a weekday so it wasn’t so packed. The weather in March up the mountain was really cool. So I enjoyed walking the trail and read a bit about the cities up the trail. Will love to do this again and again. I didn’t go on the zipline but for those who will love to, the skypark is opened and I saw a couple of people enjoying it. Enjoyed the food as well, the steak was quite tasty! I did see bees up there but they were harmless, just be on the watch out though!

Awesome day out! System is fairly efficient and the views from the top are amazing. Can get quite busy, which means increased waiting times. We had some pizzas and drinks at the top, which were also top notch. PS - treat yourself to free entrance on your birthday.

It was a hot windy day but it was certainly still worth while. There was a little bit of a wait but not to bad. They do not accept cash. Staff are helpful and friendly. Some good lookout spots at the top and enough space not to feel crowded by other visitors. Depending on what you decide to do, (perhaps a visit to the spa for a shoulder massage?) you can easily spend a couple of hours just relaxing and taking in the views.

This was a really good experience. We visited this attraction during the week, and it was very pleasant as there were no long queues, not waiting in lines to get a cable car, which I think during the weekends, public holidays and holidays can be quite frustrating. The place is clean and well looked after. Once one gets to the top, there are various activities to do and keep yourself busy... for the fellow outdoor and nature lovers, make sure you check it out and book... there's mtb, hiking, rock climbing, and other activities. There's various restaurants on the top of the mountain and one at the bottom entrance. This is a fun activity for locals and international tourists, so make sure to go check it out.

A must do when in Harties! Breathtaking views and overall great experience. Getting tickets was fast (cashless system), and the wait to go up the mountain was not that long. Once up you can get a bite to eat, have an ice cold beer(my choice), have a short walk on the trail or just kick back and chill if you want to. Plenty to eat and drink once up and the views are just beautiful. Fun for the whole family and if it's your birthday you can get a free ticket!

Definitely worth going to, the view is magnificent. It is well organised, we did buy tickets in advance but still waited quite some time for our turn. On the day there was a DJ and very loud music was playing which I feel is unnecessary and quite disturbing. Being up on the mountain with only nature is enough.

This is a place suitable for weekend visits, and you can quickly reach the mountaintop by cable car. The scenery above is pleasant and endless, making it perfect for taking photos. In addition, there are various BBQ and local specialty performances on the mountaintop, which is a very good experience.

Took adventure of the birthday special. And scored a free ticket. Everyone is so friendly. The facilities are very clean. The ride is beautiful and scenic. We got stuck halfway down due to loadshedding but we got moving a few minutes after the generators kicked in.

We visited the Ariel cableway early on a normal Saturday morning. I would definitely recommend getting there early if you didn’t buy tickets online (I’m not sure if that is possible tho) We got here right when they opened and we still waited 5/10min to pay. But boy was it worth it!! I did not expect such an amazing view with CLEAN and prestige sitting areas and bathrooms! The cable cars themselves were okay, not very big and they also felt a bit scary, but that’s just my opinion! :) The atmosphere at the top was amazing and the food as well as the drinks were delicious! We also really enjoyed the Dassie walk and read through all the information boards provided. I would definitely recommend popping in when you’re in the area!

Being a tourist in your own country is awesome. Another world class attraction which isn’t marketed nearly good enough. I remember coming here as a kid and it is way better than I remember. Come for lunch and if it’s your birthday it is a free ride.

We book the package that included elephant and monkey sanctuary and then a 2 hour guided safari drive at Lion Park. We went in the morning to feed, bush and walk with the elephants. It was truly amazing and spectacular to be that up close to elephants. I went with my daughter (2yrs) and wife. The staff were brilliant and really made us feel safe and were helpful when taking pictures. After the elephants, we had a guided tour of the recused monkeys. Make sure you have nothing that the cheeky monkeys can grab. They had a look in all the pockets in our bag. The guide was very knowledge and really cared for the animals. We then went to the Lion Park. It was good to be able to go an a safari with my daughter and be able see all the animals and feel safe. Dusty the guide was great.

Great experience with Elephants and Monkey Sanctuary. Important to follow instructions as one person in our group frightened the elephants because he did not follow the guidelines. Lacking security as a visitor's car was stolen while we were there. When questioned, they said they only have a car gaurd on weekends. No entrance security. Property is clean and well kept.

I took a group of students to do the Package 5. They absolutely loved it! Clean and neat place. Rangers are very knowledgeable and friendly. The lunch and breakfast that they provide are amazing. 100% going back.

This is such a beautiful experience. The venue is absolutely beautiful, the guides are passionate and the elephants and their story very special. An unmissable adventure. I elected to do package 1 which combines this with a visit to the Monkey Sanctuary and the Lion and Safari park. The elephant sanctuary doesn't serve meals persay, but there are beautiful places to sit and enjoy a picnic, or drive straight through to the Lion and Safari park on package 1 and eat at the restaurant there before your Safari drive. You must book adventures in advance or your options are limited as a walk in. Their response to emails and phone calls is great, so you won't have any difficulty contacting them.

What a lovely experience. We did the 08h00 tour, as it has the cleaning/brushing of elephants, the other time slots dont. Our guide was James, or rather 007, as he prefers🤣 What a great guy and the rest of the caretakers are too, with lots of knowledge, friendly and just awesome people. The elephants were an experience like none other, amazing majestic giants, and we got lots of interaction time ,photos, and knowledge. It was a great experience overall. Had an awesome day at the Elephant Sanctuary. The Elephants are so well looked after and the way they interact with their handlers and the public is testimony of this. We had am amazing experience with the gentle giants and the adorable monkeys. Tinashe was our guide and has fantastic presentation skills pfor the elephant interaction. We also had James for the monkey sanctuary who was very funny and answered all the questions we had happily.

This is a very suitable place to bring your own children to experience on weekends. The professional guide will popularize elephant knowledge for us. At the same time, we can also interact with elephants and walk in the jungle together. It is exciting.

The Hartbeespoort Elephant and Monkey Sanctuary was an absolutely incredible, family friendly experience! For the Elephant Sanctuary we had an opportunity to interact with (touch, brush, and walk alongside) four beautiful elephants under supervision of a well-trained and friendly staff over the course of a two-hour tour. There was also an option to have a professional video taken on site, but photos and video are highly encouraged throughout the experience. The Monkey Sanctuary was equally impressive and featured small breeds like the Capuchin and Squirrel monkey. We were given pans of food to feed the monkeys, who were more than excited to walk up to us and partake in a treat. This was a remarkable, and reasonably priced experience that was accentuated by an excellent staff of professionals! 5/5

We loved the experience, a simply must. Although I must say it is quite expensive. The place is well taken care of with very friendly staff. Monkeys is very comfortable with people and have no problem to come up close. One even climbed on me. The only reason for giving only 4 stars is because everybody going in for feeding time pays the same price however not every person gets their own feeding bucked we were 2 and only got 1 and there was a family of 6 and they only got 4 even though all of us paid full price. There is drinks available to buy onnsite at affordable prices. Bathrooms also very clean. And safe parking with a very friendly car guard also there.

Very nice place to see monkeys and elephants. There are a lot of monkeys (mainly Kapuziner and lemurs I think) and 4 elephants in the 2 sections. The monkey tour is about 1 hour long, the elephant tour about 1.5h and you have enough time to ask any questions and take pictures. Even if you don't ask any questions the guides will tell you a lot about the animals which is very nice. Careful with the monkeys, the will try to search your pockets and backpacks so have an eye on them when they're climbing into you (what will most likely happen unless you tell them strictly not to do it, but it is also funny). In the elephant tour there are 3 parts, feeding an elephant, walking with elephants and touching elephants / taking pictures with elephants. Also in larger groups everyone will have a chance to perform the activities which is very nice. All in all I can only recommend going there. If you go with kids plan some time (maybe for a picnic) between the tours as especially the elephant tour also involves some stops where kids (especially when they don't speak English) might feel bored. There is a playground right outside with a picnic table where families can spend some time between the tours

I genuinely enjoyed doing the monkey tour. I opted to be in the feeding group and I was so fun to have the monkeys be comfortable enough to climb on you. The tour was informative, very fun and the walkways, the nature and the views throughout WA breathtaking!

Visited the Monkey Sanctuary on Sunday morning 05/11/2023. Overall a good experience, but incredibly overpriced. Definitely catered more towards tourists than locals. You see most of the monkeys in the beginning of the tour and then its more of a 45 minute hike over a bunch of bridges and through a rockery where you don't see much. Guides are friendly and its great to see the monkeys up close but don't think it is worth R500 per person.

What a pleasant surprise! We enjoyed our visit to the Monkey Sanctuary so, so much!! Everything was so neat and well kept. The shop had so much to offer and our guide, I think his name was Welson, was absolutely fantastic! The monkeys were super-cute!! Definitely worth the visit!!

We've lived here for a year and have done numerous animal experiences from safari to feeding baby rhinos. This was easily our favorite yet! The one hour tour was so fun! We immediately were "pickpocketed" by sneaky James; he went full on hands into my wife's purse and managed to grab a folded brochure out of my daughter's pocket. When you feed the monkeys they all jump around the people to get to the food. Our kids loved it, and my wife and I enjoyed it just as much. The guide was so very nice, and you could tell he really loved his job. This will be a place we come back to for sure. We really want to do the day long one with the elephants and the lions.

I had my third visit to the monkey sanctuary yesterday, and I have never been disappointed. The staff and guides are all very friendly and knowledgeable. The guides are patient and answer all of our questions with ease. The monkeys are mischievous, funny and adorable. I will keep returning again, and again. Im not sure why people are rating the monkey experience as too expensive. Let me tell you its NOT expensive and its really worth it to go and visit them. People need to understand that places like this has massive overheads and are not funded by Gvt or any other institution. The place is clean, the gardens are neat, the animals are well taken care of and the guides are all extremely professional and insightful. The old Capuchin male bit me 🤣. I entered at my own risk. Not making a scene. They are wild animals. Sandra the spider monkey caught a lift on my back and the Lemurs have the most gentle personalities. I adored them. It was my husbands birthday, we were not aware that he could have gotten a free tour though 😭 Overall, it was a great experience.

We had a wonderful time at the park . Ot was very clean and a real pleasure seeing all the animals. The enclosures was clean and the animals are well looked after. We had a much better experience than a few years ago , well-done the staff and employees...

This place is huge and there is so much more to see here than just snakes. There are lions, leopards, jaguar, birds, monkeys, seals, hyenas. There is a few places where vegetation outside the enclosure makes it hard to see the animals inside of it. Overall really great experience and we enjoyed it as a family. Plenty of bathrooms. They also do shows twice per day. Excellent value for money

What a GREAT place. We went there to treat the kids, but had just as much fun as they did. BEAUTIFUL place. Lovely staff and a big variety of animals. From the smallest to the biggest snake. I have too much to tell you about this place it won't all fit in the comment box. WORTH IT.

The kids and the Adults enjoyed this experience. R140 for adult and R70 kids. The animals looks happy and wel kept. You can see the whole time the personal tending to the animals wil care. You can even see a snake and sea lion show 2 times a day over weekends. We loved it.

Not the biggest fan of zoo parks but this one is beautiful and well maintained. Each animals area is big enough for them to move around, they have shade and proper water systems. The seal and snake show is informative and fun and we got to touch the snake. Not as wheel chair friendly but with a bit of effort you can navigate well enough through the park. The animals have character. They aren't just lazing around in the hot sun but they actually moved around and the chimpanzee and monkeys are interactive. They have food stalls on the premises, a picnic area and sufficient seating with tables. It's literally on the damn so the views going though the park is amazing with lots of selfie and photo opportunities for you and your family It's actually a really great experience. Up the road from the park are a few restaurants and the damn wall where you go through the tunnel and get to see more of the fan itself. The whole area is just a great experience. Make a day of it!

Overall, the animals all seemed healthy. The entrance fee is high but there is lots to see. Perks: Quite a few bathrooms; more than one canteen/ tuck shop; nice seated areas next to the water. Overall worth it if you have a toddler/ child that would love to see animals. The fish feeding area is now just hyacinth and mountains of litter, so give that a pass. Otherwise not bad.

I’m very impressed about how clean the cages are. The zoo isn’t that big, but big enough to walk trough and continue with your day. The animals are well looked after! We went on a Sunday and wasn’t that busy, would recommend this zoo over any other in Gauteng. Well done to the zoo keepers and friendly staff.

It was a very educational experience for both the kids and the adults... the cruise was nice but very shot plus the vegetation wasn't so appealing with so much littering, I wish they could clean it up. Otherwise the experience was amazing, 🤗

One of the coolest places in Haarties. This place is very scary for me who has a phobia of snakes. There are so many different types of animals and birds to see with the snakes. As a family outing it is highly recommended that you visit this place if you are in the area. Lots of food places in the surrounding area to visit on this day trip.

Harties Zoo has really up there game regarding taking care of the facility and their animals. It was a pleasure spending the day with family and getting to see what the zoo had to offer. I would highly recommend that you make a turn at the Zoo if you have a family.

I had my doubts but I was surprised. The animal are well looked after, cages are super clean and the variety of animals are wide and great. You can get a good take away there and even a boat ride. Plus seal and snake show. My kids loved the day. Worth it.

A nice outing for the family. Short sand road to ride. We had cheese burgers and hotdogs which were very delicious. Nice homemade meat patties and fresh buns. Nice to see the movie set.

Cool place to visit and take photos. Interesting to see where movies/series were filmed. Enjoy a burger and milkshake at the diner. Play some arcade games. Watch one of the movies, including Pretville, in one of the movie time slots at their small movie theater at the venue. There is a roller skating rink area at the back. Where you can bring g your own skates to skate, but it looks sad and not really used, hidden in the back. Everything is included in the entrance ticket except for food and beverages.

Would love to visit again when they have an actual dance mob scene or live entertainment. This Is a must "at least visit once" place. And you must have popcorn and milkshakes. I would just suggest a better entrance rate for groups or families. R100 a person is a bit steep. All in all awesome!

We arrived at 10:00 on a Sunday, bought tickets and went up without waiting. The views are really beautiful but due to it being winter, visibility wasn't as good as it would be on a clear summer's day. Once at the top, we ordered pizzas and made ourselves comfortable on the bean bags. It was a lovely day that was concluded with delicious ice cream. Upon exiting the parking at around 14:00, the queue to buy tickets was very long and we were thankful we were leaving and not arriving. Overall it was a great experience and good value for money! Suggestions for the restaurant: - Please employ more staff or improve your ordering system, since the queue to order got very long (one staff member takes orders and pours drinks - this is not sustainable). - More seating suitable to an older demographic will be appreciated - chairs with back rests, for example.

Really nice. Wonderful views. Very clean and neat, restrooms are also very clean and well maintained. Great service and chilled vibe when you get to the top with a lovely grassy area with some beanbags to lounge around. Walking trails as well, no trash in sight, very clean. Plenty of tables and seating areas. Get there early to avoid queues but more importantly to enjoy more time at top.

By far one of the most beautiful experiences I have had! The view was so beautiful. Went on a weekday so it wasn’t so packed. The weather in March up the mountain was really cool. So I enjoyed walking the trail and read a bit about the cities up the trail. Will love to do this again and again. I didn’t go on the zipline but for those who will love to, the skypark is opened and I saw a couple of people enjoying it. Enjoyed the food as well, the steak was quite tasty! I did see bees up there but they were harmless, just be on the watch out though!

Awesome day out! System is fairly efficient and the views from the top are amazing. Can get quite busy, which means increased waiting times. We had some pizzas and drinks at the top, which were also top notch. PS - treat yourself to free entrance on your birthday.

It was a hot windy day but it was certainly still worth while. There was a little bit of a wait but not to bad. They do not accept cash. Staff are helpful and friendly. Some good lookout spots at the top and enough space not to feel crowded by other visitors. Depending on what you decide to do, (perhaps a visit to the spa for a shoulder massage?) you can easily spend a couple of hours just relaxing and taking in the views.

Had a lot of fun on my first visit, the staffs were very cool and helpful. I felt safe all through the cable drive. The restaurants, music and everything activity on the mountain was very entertaining. I will definitely recommend and visit again

This was a really good experience. We visited this attraction during the week, and it was very pleasant as there were no long queues, not waiting in lines to get a cable car, which I think during the weekends, public holidays and holidays can be quite frustrating. The place is clean and well looked after. Once one gets to the top, there are various activities to do and keep yourself busy... for the fellow outdoor and nature lovers, make sure you check it out and book... there's mtb, hiking, rock climbing, and other activities. There's various restaurants on the top of the mountain and one at the bottom entrance. This is a fun activity for locals and international tourists, so make sure to go check it out.

A must do when in Harties! Breathtaking views and overall great experience. Getting tickets was fast (cashless system), and the wait to go up the mountain was not that long. Once up you can get a bite to eat, have an ice cold beer(my choice), have a short walk on the trail or just kick back and chill if you want to. Plenty to eat and drink once up and the views are just beautiful. Fun for the whole family and if it's your birthday you can get a free ticket!

Definitely worth going to, the view is magnificent. It is well organised, we did buy tickets in advance but still waited quite some time for our turn. On the day there was a DJ and very loud music was playing which I feel is unnecessary and quite disturbing. Being up on the mountain with only nature is enough.

This is a place suitable for weekend visits, and you can quickly reach the mountaintop by cable car. The scenery above is pleasant and endless, making it perfect for taking photos. In addition, there are various BBQ and local specialty performances on the mountaintop, which is a very good experience.

Took adventure of the birthday special. And scored a free ticket. Everyone is so friendly. The facilities are very clean. The ride is beautiful and scenic. We got stuck halfway down due to loadshedding but we got moving a few minutes after the generators kicked in.

Absolutely incredible! Such a fun and different experience so many incredible places for food and the most breathtaking views. Definitely recommend the open two seater cart for the best experience!

We visited the Ariel cableway early on a normal Saturday morning. I would definitely recommend getting there early if you didn’t buy tickets online (I’m not sure if that is possible tho) We got here right when they opened and we still waited 5/10min to pay. But boy was it worth it!! I did not expect such an amazing view with CLEAN and prestige sitting areas and bathrooms! The cable cars themselves were okay, not very big and they also felt a bit scary, but that’s just my opinion! :) The atmosphere at the top was amazing and the food as well as the drinks were delicious! We also really enjoyed the Dassie walk and read through all the information boards provided. I would definitely recommend popping in when you’re in the area!

Being a tourist in your own country is awesome. Another world class attraction which isn’t marketed nearly good enough. I remember coming here as a kid and it is way better than I remember. Come for lunch and if it’s your birthday it is a free ride.

Had a wonderful family trip here with my husband and children. Went on a game drive and was lovely to see the wild life. Beautiful views. Enjoyed a peaceful picnic under the beautiful trees next to the sparkling pools. Jenther made us feel very welcome and I would love to return again.

The most awesome trail with the most spectacular view ever 😘👌 Remeber to request the silkaartsnek hiking trail and not the nature reserve trail up the mountain.

Had a lovely time there.. Dilo was very good to us.. will definitely be coming back with more friends. The game drive was good and i like the diversity of the animals.. no danger too!!

Great place to be with friends and family. The horseback riding was the highlight of my visit,we came across giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and meerkat at the nature reserve.

Pizzas are amazing however we waited almost 3 hours for our order after the staff didn't make them because they were "unsure" of the order so instead of coming to confirm it they just left it. Staff super slow. Not sure we will be back unfortunately.

Went here for a quick bite and a beer Sunday afternoon. The hosts were very welcoming. The pizza is wonderful; thin base with generous toppings and quality ingredients. Try the Buchu Beer or the Sweet Mango Cider that they have on tap. There is ample space with tables scattered underneath the trees on the lawn in front of the alehouse. The feeling is laid back and rustic. Highly recommend. P.S. Ask the owners about the history of the grounds and the link to the Irish.

Very late back environment where you can go enjoy there ale and get a tasty pizza. A bit of a dirt road to get to the place. Nice grass area surrounded by cattle. Must try there pizza. Worth a trip out. Just don't be in a hurry. Also live music over weekends

You will wait for your food here Even thought the place has a really nice vibe. Reasonable pricing.and good food. Their bucu beer is really great, red ale not so much. Service is extremely slow, you will lose over 4 hours waiting for a simple Pizza here. DO NOT come if you are time conceous.

Had the best thin crust Pizza. Try the smelly Italian. Nice relaxing environment. The gravel road is a bit rough going there for smaller cars.

Stopped over to test their different ales. Loved the Mango cider. Very refreshing. The Honey Ale was just as good. There is no waiters. You enter the old house and order your ale. It's rustic and out the way but so quiet and chilled. They took the beer passport for my son and I had a delicious mango cider. We did'nt eat but the pizza looked good.

Perfect setting in tranquil environment complimented by a rich history ie Irish support to boers during the ABW. Pizzas are first class and reasonably priced. The craft beer is fresh in the tap. The owner, Herman is a pleasant fellow who is involved with his team in majing your visit a pleasant one. The Ale House is highly recommended for bikers, offroad bikers, families etc etc. lots if space for kids to play.

Hidden gem! This an unassuming quaint little spot you only take your favourite people to. They brew small batches of gorgeous beer and lovely thin crust pizzas are served here. We were fortunate to get some live music thrown in during our visit.

We had a wonderful time at the park . Ot was very clean and a real pleasure seeing all the animals. The enclosures was clean and the animals are well looked after. We had a much better experience than a few years ago , well-done the staff and employees...

This place is huge and there is so much more to see here than just snakes. There are lions, leopards, jaguar, birds, monkeys, seals, hyenas. There is a few places where vegetation outside the enclosure makes it hard to see the animals inside of it. Overall really great experience and we enjoyed it as a family. Plenty of bathrooms. They also do shows twice per day. Excellent value for money

What a GREAT place. We went there to treat the kids, but had just as much fun as they did. BEAUTIFUL place. Lovely staff and a big variety of animals. From the smallest to the biggest snake. I have too much to tell you about this place it won't all fit in the comment box. WORTH IT.

The kids and the Adults enjoyed this experience. R140 for adult and R70 kids. The animals looks happy and wel kept. You can see the whole time the personal tending to the animals wil care. You can even see a snake and sea lion show 2 times a day over weekends. We loved it.

Not the biggest fan of zoo parks but this one is beautiful and well maintained. Each animals area is big enough for them to move around, they have shade and proper water systems. The seal and snake show is informative and fun and we got to touch the snake. Not as wheel chair friendly but with a bit of effort you can navigate well enough through the park. The animals have character. They aren't just lazing around in the hot sun but they actually moved around and the chimpanzee and monkeys are interactive. They have food stalls on the premises, a picnic area and sufficient seating with tables. It's literally on the damn so the views going though the park is amazing with lots of selfie and photo opportunities for you and your family It's actually a really great experience. Up the road from the park are a few restaurants and the damn wall where you go through the tunnel and get to see more of the fan itself. The whole area is just a great experience. Make a day of it!

Overall, the animals all seemed healthy. The entrance fee is high but there is lots to see. Perks: Quite a few bathrooms; more than one canteen/ tuck shop; nice seated areas next to the water. Overall worth it if you have a toddler/ child that would love to see animals. The fish feeding area is now just hyacinth and mountains of litter, so give that a pass. Otherwise not bad.

I’m very impressed about how clean the cages are. The zoo isn’t that big, but big enough to walk trough and continue with your day. The animals are well looked after! We went on a Sunday and wasn’t that busy, would recommend this zoo over any other in Gauteng. Well done to the zoo keepers and friendly staff.

It was a very educational experience for both the kids and the adults... the cruise was nice but very shot plus the vegetation wasn't so appealing with so much littering, I wish they could clean it up. Otherwise the experience was amazing, 🤗

One of the coolest places in Haarties. This place is very scary for me who has a phobia of snakes. There are so many different types of animals and birds to see with the snakes. As a family outing it is highly recommended that you visit this place if you are in the area. Lots of food places in the surrounding area to visit on this day trip.

Harties Zoo has really up there game regarding taking care of the facility and their animals. It was a pleasure spending the day with family and getting to see what the zoo had to offer. I would highly recommend that you make a turn at the Zoo if you have a family.

I had my doubts but I was surprised. The animal are well looked after, cages are super clean and the variety of animals are wide and great. You can get a good take away there and even a boat ride. Plus seal and snake show. My kids loved the day. Worth it.

This place was a great outing ... everything works and it was clean ... staff are well trained and informative and professional at all times... This is a great place for a Sunday outing with the kids... do make sure to take the fairie ride it is pretty kwl... Average time here including the boat ride will take you about 5 hours...

Great place for family, we did a lot of activities. Loved the animals, too! Lol, we got stuck with the speed boat in the middle of the dam we were out of petrol. Lucky us, it gave us more time in the dam... please work on your boats maintenance.

Haven't been here for about 8 years, it was still not bad and clean inside. The shows at the pool are good too.

Clean accept for the dam. For tall people... watch out at the reptile exibit outside, which has a lot of spider nests that you can very easily put your head through if you aren't careful.

The aloe farm is a magical place... even if you are not an aloe fan. It's an eye opener when it comes to the variety of plants and their blooms. Then there is the bird life which catches the eye with their bright colours and variety. There's also a lovely garden that you can walk through. I have been a couple of times and will definitely visit again.

A must see in June/July. One of the best nurseries I've ever been to. Their aloes are beautiful and in top shape. And definitely the place for hard to find aloes. Highly recommend!

Winter time is the best time. We came all the way from Pretoria east and we met a couple all the way from Germiston. Its a must when you are in the area. The nursary is clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful. The plants are marked well with easy to read prices. Amazing large Bonsai plants / trees that is a wow. Some things I can say, the shop is not that well stocked and I do think this could be a place to do quality coffee. The toilets was ok. I would have spent double the time here if the coffee was not a bean to cup mashine. All in all, we came for the Aloes in bloom and that was spectacular. The Aloe Farm will see me again in bloom time. It also draws a big bird photography crowed, professionals with LONG lenses.

I never knew that there were so many varieties of Aloes - I was so amazed. They also keep a variety of other plants as well. I am a avid birdwatcher, so I grabbed my binoculars and took a walk on the farm. I saw quite a lot of bushveld birds. The White-fronted Bee-eaters breed in one of the sand banks towards the back of the Nursery - a mudt see! This nursery is definitely worth the visit.

If ever you wanted motivation and inspiration for planting an indigenous garden, the Aloe Farm is the place to go. I have never seen such an intense display of colour - it is truly magnificent. Thank you to the owners for welcoming photographers and to the staff who are all just so friendly. Its just the other side of the dam wall in Harties and well worth a drive out there. make sure your boot is empty because you're definitely going to want to do some shopping.

The Aloe Farm makes for a perfect family outing. They have a wide variety of aloe, succulents and other plants for sale. And the is tiny gardens and spots where you can enjoy a stroll or snap a few beautiful pictures. If you're tired of being stuck indoors, a morning at The Aloe Farm is just what the doctor ordered.

The gin tasting and rum tasting was amazing! The ingredients used are picked from their garden for some of their gins and the staff are very friendly!

What a cosy little place. Cocktails are just amazing and you could spend some time here. No food on offer but the biltong platter does its job trust me. Stare into the eyes of your lover with a sweet cocktail.

The incendo team really goes above and beyond to give you the full gin experience. They have an exciting range of products. The owner clearly knows what his talking about and his Gins are the best I have ever tasted. The tasting was very professionally presented and worth while.

A place to check out when in Hartbeespoort. The owner is so friendly and accommodating. Go for some gin tasting. Very cozy place and easy to find. Had a very educational tour in the distillery.

Loved the market ! It is busy, but that is because it is so popular. An awesome stop not only for international visitors but locals as well. Great food and live music to end your shopping day. Lots of African arts and crafts available

Awesome place. For the whole family to enjoy, walk around, shop around an lounge around. Great novelty shops, the biltong and droëwors at Dirk's is the best👌and the live band are alwys top class. I have a blast everytime I visit there!

The market was okay, it seems like it's mainly cheap clothing though with a few artisan stores. We didn't hit any of the restaurants, so it could still be good.

Feel so sorry for the people. We were the only ones there. There are no tourist, hope it is better on a weekend. This is mostly Clothing. Most of the different *shops* are in 'n wooden one room house. There are places to eat and drink, sit and visit with friends. I will not recommend you bring kids here.
