Nice mountain for climbing. Beautiful views onto monolith from the village as well as from the touristic rout (there is no access to the top). The rout is rather easy and available for all people with minor physical practice, including children. It usually takes one to two hours.

Peña de Bernal is such a cute little town. All the locals are super friendly. The town seems clean and calm. I highly recommend this place for wine lovers. Peña de Bernal is located in a wine region. There are tons of wineries to choose from. There are a lot of local shops for you to purchase your souvenirs from.

Such a beautiful experience! I am so happy we got to come and visit this place. It is not very friendly to walk so bring your best shoes if you are planning to climb. I am pregnant so I didn’t even try, but I will come back to do some good hiking for sure in the future.

Peña De Bernal is a small town, there’s hotels,museums and the Peña of course. You need comfortable shoes if you like to walk or you can use the tuc tuc moto taxis.

Excellent magical town. Got on the fantasma four wheeler tours which are in the parking lot behind the main letters of Bernal typically charges 500 pesos but had a week day sale and charged 350 per 4 wheeler for 2 riders. Went to a esquite tasting then 2look out points to the monolith and a mezcal tasting. Took about an 1 1/2 tour would recommend.

Peña de Bernal is the third largest monolith in the world, which was likely formed over 8 million years ago. Beautiful views and great walking town. We arrived late and weren't able to hike to the top, but we still enjoyed the sites. Bernal, the town, is one of Mexicos pueblo magicos. A great day trip if you find yourself in Queretero.

Full of magic, we didn’t do the hike. But it was nice to walk the streets of the town. Admire its beauty and try to make up the shapes of the stone, there’s a turtle, an elephant and a gorilla. We also tried Pan de Queso, delicious. 10/10, great experience and a quick visit.

The aqueduct stretches for a good while, over a kilometer, so your experience of it will vary depending on where you see it. To be honest, it's not that impressive. Five minutes after you get there you'll be done taking your pictures and looking for something else to do.

In the middle of a very busy street in the middle of an equally hectic city is this astounding example of a historically significant piece of architecture and engineering. The Aqueduct of Queretaro runs a fair distance and although one could walk, bike, or drive the entire distance, it is not necessary. At the point on Google Maps where this pin is placed is a plaza with benches, some information boards, a few artistic bronze statues, and it is an excellent spot to take some photos of this engineering marvel. The fact that at the time of my visit there was a group of university grads taking photos in their grad gowns tells me this is a popular spot amongst locals for that special photo. I am really glad I came here to check out this gem and am awarding this with 5 stars.

You can find paid parking in the downtown and then a nice walk around the place is best way to explore this place. There are very nice restaurants to enjoy local cuisine.

This is an unusually good museum. High quality exhibits and interesting interpretations. It takes you through the Spanish conquest with a rather gentle treatment of its cultural domination, especially the role of the church. The interpretation of the Reforma showed dramatizations of a conservative, liberal, and agrarian socialist, something you don’t often see. We spent 2 plus hours there and enjoyed every minute.

Went here to learn about Queretaro’s history but every sign is in Spanish, so we used google translate the best we could. It was 95 peso entry which is expensive compared to Mexico City Antropologia. If you cannot read spanish, then i would not recommend for the price.

This is a cool wee park it has enough things to keep your young kids entertained all day long, water attractions, ride-on attractions and even gardens and a few animals. Remember to take water to drink and lunch oh and a hat and sunscreen as there are relatively large areas to walk to get to places that are in the sun. This place opens from Thursday to Sunday during school term. Staff are helpful and the place is pretty clean.

Avoid coming here on public holidays, such as Christmas or Easter. We spent more than an hour in the line just to enter the park. It is not allowed to bring ANY drinks into the park, you have to buy it inside.

This art museum is a gem of Querétaro. In addition to being free (there's not even a donation box and I have never been in any museum in any city without a donation box), it has a varied and interesting collection and is housed in an impressive architectural building which in itself is a work of art. Formerly the Augustinian monastery, the building is spacious and comfortable. The works are somewhat shockingly unprotected and virtually outdoors but I guess if your climate is arid enough this is fine? Anyway, worth a visit and worth your time.

A free art museum housed in a beautiful old Augustine Monastery with some lovely examples of contemporary and historical local art. Currently under renovations that are adding even more exhibit space. It only takes an hour and a half to get through, but it's worth every minute.

They have small rotating exhibits with some interesting pieces. There is currently an exhibit of the sculptures of artist Jorge Marín, which is interesting and kind of trippy. I think it goes till mid March. It is very small. This could also be a pro, as you could enjoy it less than an hour. Their website is not very well maintained, so it was difficult to find much information there. I was excited to see they were having a Leonardo da Vinci exposition. While this does exist, it does so only in name. It is a collection of primarily paintings from Mexican artists. No works from da Vinci. There were a few dozen very nice paintings of various styles. There is what I believe to be a permanent collection, on the first floor of colonial era portraits, paintings and textiles. You have nothing to lose to venture into this pretty building, and you may find some exhibits that you really enjoy!

One of the coolest museums I have ever visited. The restored building is totally worth the visit alone, but the exhibits are exemplary and of an international standard. It gives you a truly unique perspective on Mexico through time as seen though calendar art. It apparently has good food in the restaurant but we did not try it. In my opinion a true hidden gem that should note be missed!

Never realized how important calendars have been to the Mexican culture. Dating back to the Mayan civilizations the calendar museum dates the chronological history of the calendars. Also showcasing beautiful art galleries from Mexican painters. The building showcases some of Queretaro's architecture with green courtyards and a nice restaurant and bar. The terrace by far was my favorite place. Sitting in the benches with the cool mountain breeze and the amazing views from around the city. A must if you are in the area.

The museum was well presented, informative and peaceful when I visited. Be prepared to walk a little, stop, read and learn and repeat as there is some very well preserved and explained history here. I didn't try the cafe at the back but it was clean and quiet when I visited.
