St Kilda Beach is known to be the most popular beach in Victoria or Melbourne...you gotta go on a good day when the sun is shining and when the sky is super clear....the water feels like a mirror...the amount of people that go there is absolutely ridiculous nowadays....so many people but highly recommended, really cool beach....

It is a really nice beach close to Melbourne CBD and easily accessed by public transport or car with a lot of paid parking slots along St Kilda Road. There are a lot of things to do in the area: - walk along the beach - sunbathe, swim on sunny days - visit nearby beautiful gardens - walk along the pier - play water sports If you love penguins, you can walk through the pier, to the St Kilda Penguin area (seem to be temporarily closed now), then you can see some penguins sometimes.

The best place for sitting and watching the sunset. I would recommend cycling and running along the beach.

A bit shocked to see so many people here and swimming. The water is dirty and the beach is quite plain - just sand and grass. But people enjoy playing ball here, sunbathing, and swimming. I also saw some jet skis as well. I personally didn't like it but to each their own.

I loved my day at St Kilda Beach 🏖️ The sun, sand, and vibrant atmosphere made for the perfect beach getaway. From leisurely walks on the golden sands to sampling delicious food at the nearby cafes, every moment was pure bliss. The stunning views and refreshing sea breeze created a sense of tranquility. I hope they put more effort into cleaning the shore, It was full of gravel, seaweed, and pieces of wood.

Beautiful beach, very calm waters. We missed out on the penguines unfortunately hopefully next time we get to see them. Great for a walk or even a nice quite one on the beach. Very clean beach with clean amenties close by. Playground and resturants near by.

The beach is a clean and somehow busy. Sometimes there are running or cycling events there and you can participate or just enjoy the good vibes. and also is a good place for relaxing in warm sands or reading book or swimming. There is also a beach near there for dogs. And there are lots of restaurants and bars there. So everything is available at this area for having a sunny swimming day

St Kilda Beach has a certain undeniable charm. The sand is soft, the water is clear (well, clearer than most city beaches), and there's a real buzz in the air. It's clear why it's such a popular spot. But, as a visitor, I wouldn't say it's the most relaxing beach experience. It's loud! There are always buskers around, and the hawker stalls add to the general cacophony. Don't get me wrong, the vibe is infectious, but it's not exactly "tranquil." The beach itself is pretty small, and on a sunny day, it gets absolutely packed. Finding a spot to lay down your towel can be a bit of a mission, and forget about having any personal space. If you're looking for a lively beach scene, with entertainment and people-watching galore, then St Kilda is fantastic. But if you're after a serene escape to soak up the sun and listen to the waves, there might be better options around.

It’s my first time there.. I was amazed from the entrance itself. The staff are welcoming and so professional. You will notice that they do their work with passion.. noticed that they always double checked before running any rides. Have been there for the Halloween night event.. could not spent the night better anywhere. The rides are too good and there are a number of choices for different taste and levels. An attraction not to be missed in Melbourne!

Good place to visit if you are in Melbourne, however it can be quite expensive. We only went of the roller coaster (which was super fun and had amazing views of St Kilda) however be prepared to wait at least 30 minutes in line to get on some rides. The arcade was also super fun!

Good place, entry was around $22 per person with one free ride. If you love to have a bit of fun and have few rides, the best is to go unlimited rides with $55 entry. Overall good fun for half a day with kids.

We were there at the right time. Barely any wait times for rides. Most staff are super friendly. Hot food is priced well and is actually delicious. Entry fee is a bit pricey though.

Not a bad little park! The queue for the roller coaster ride was huge and we didn’t get a chance to ride but all other rides were well maintained and surprisingly genuinely enjoyable considering the size of this park. Probably wouldn’t recommend if you’re a tourist and have limited days in Melbourne but great place for local families to spend time in. It looks amazing when the lights comes on in the evening too!

This was our kids second time experience visiting Luna Park. The first visit when they were very young and they hardly remembered anything about it. So this time around they would remember this experience 🤣 it’s a very enjoyable experience for them - that’s for sure. I could tell from their faces and lots of story telling from them.

excellent for kids and also for adults, as the history of some of the rides ( like the carousel) make fascinating reading like it was built in USA , cost 26 000 dollars,and is 1 of only 68 ever built, and the only 1 ever exported also the staff are helpful and put the safety of the children as their no1 priority

Absolutely great fun. Saw all sorts of ages and families there. Ensure you read the minimum height and maximum height restrictions if you have children or really tall people wishing to ride. And probably bring your own water and snacks, unless you're rich. Extremely fun and thrilling.

I've been to Luna Park 3 - 4 times and each experience was different. My last visit was Luna After Dark, and it was fun! First stop the Scenic Railway (always a gut getter for me), ghost train boy that was a let down...First and last for that ride. Upgrade it guys. Ferris wheel was great for views and swinging (hehe), tram dark experience was interesting, DARK and wet. Haunted maze was good, dark and scary! Wanted to go on the Spider but the line got too long. That's the bummer with some of the rides, long lines & some seats aren't filled on the rides. Ended the night with a soothing ride of the Carousel. If you need a finisher, ride the Carousel. 🎠

It's Luna Park! Maybe it's a bit overpriced, and the rides are a bit old, but the kids just love it. The staff love what they do, and it's a fun day of joy. We spent a few hours there and enjoyed ourselves immensely. They are young and not too adventurous, so it was 2 rides each. They loved the dodgems and dart game. They're still playing with that trick ice cream cone! It's an institution! Long live Luna Park!

Small theme park with lots of rides, nice place to bring kids around 8-16years old. We only brought the 1 ride ticket and entrance on the day itself. Not too bad for a once off experience, but don’t expect anything like big theme parks.

Great experience…! Love to repeat it more and more…! The price is reasonable and you can ride unlimited rides. Children are amused and excited being there. Suitable for kids and adults. Highly recommended especially in school holidays.

Never been in winter before but I'm now sold on the idea. Everything operated as normal and very little wait time. Rug up and have fun with family and friends. Note some rides don't operate in the rain or wind so pick a Winter's day that's sunny still. We stayed to closing time so it was fantastic to see the rides all lit up once the sun went down. The scenic railway was under maintenance but that was clearly listed on the website before we left home. We received some free passes to go on the scenic railway at another time (not passes to the whole park, just the railway). 4/5 stars because the food is so expensive and the toilets a little messy. Everything else is excellent.

Nice little amusement park located in St Kilda which is circa 15/20min drive away from the Melbourne CBD. Lots of rides are kid-friendly but can also be very fun and scary at the same time!! Would recommend as an experience if you are in town and have not been here before but don't think I will be back again (I did have fun though!). Note unfortunately the famous rollercoaster was under maintenance until later this year so was not able to go on it🥺

Didn't realise when went there at 11am on a Sunday morning would need to queue for 20 minutes before we got in, even though we had brought entry tickets online. But once inside, fantastic! However for reasons I can't explain the first thing I did was get on the Dragonboat ride, which in my day was the Pirate Ship, with a friends 14 year old son. We sat right at the back and then I thought I should move 2 rows down, Thank goodness. Oh my when I did this as a teenager I found it exhilarating but not so today, I was basically holding on for dear life and couldn't wait for it to end, I think if I was in back row I would have been in tears! After that shock went on the Ghost Train which was well, lame. Then husband and teenager went on the Spider. Went on other (sedate) rides and had a go at the Laughing Clowns that have bettered me for the years I have been feeding balls into their mouths. We also had takeaway coffees (soy latte and flat white), hot chips and good old hot jam donuts. Went to gift shop but disappointingly didn't have tshirt size I wanted. We were there for 2 hours and really needed 3 hours. Will go back because unfortunately today Scenic Railway down for maintenance and want to go on that, though after my experience on the Dragon Boat who knows.

The ques can be long for some rides over an hour so we missed the scenic roller coaster. But the fact you pay one price for all rides is great. Food was nice but again a little wait time.

Was a good experience with the kids. Was invited for a kids' birthday party. The entire place looks run down. I haven't been since 2013 and so visiting this year seemed like not much has been done to uplift the place aesthetically. The rides were great and still is. Part of the place is under reno so it limits movement and crowds form really quickly.

A very charming theme park. The kids had a lot of fun. A lot of the conventional rides. Loved the ferris wheel as it had a great view from the top.

Not much to do, there are some rides and games but mostly for younger kida, I'd say between ages 5-10. Personally if you're older I mostly went in appreciation of the architecture and the preserved nature of the rides and attractions themselves. Especially the Scenic Rollercoaster 🎢. Which is operated by 2 people that are always standing in the kart while everyone else is strapped in. It's so cool to see an old tradition, skill and machine still being used and passed down for so many generations. The Carousel is also just such a sight to behold 🎠. The amazing history and the sheer beauty of the Carousel is just amazing to see the preservation of. And the history of it too, so cool. I just wish there was some more stuff to do for adults, maybe possibly a tour of the Parks history.

It was great experience with kids. I had discounted tickets with RACV but later I found that I could get cheaper with small ideas. Food in cafe was great. Smell in roller-coaster was horrible but otherwise having a great time

This place we would be perfect for the younger kids as all the rides are located very near each other, however for the adults, I would recommend only buying the entry fee which will include one free ride. We chose the scenic railway to experience riding on the heritage listed roller coaster 🎢 and to enjoy the views of Port Phillip Bay! Highly recommended if you are visiting St Kilda! There are cafes located inside to enjoy some shade on a hot day.

Still a very small theme park despite the renovations and the investment. If you're looking for a whole day, you'll probably get half a day here. Still very nostalgic and reminiscent of the old days but a lot of work for a full day park. I would recommend if you have time to go check out, come Gumbaya World if you're looking for a proper theme park

Visited on a weekday specifically Wednesday. I purchased the unlimited ticket. Luckily, me and my partner experienced all the rides with a less minimum time. So it will be good to visit during weekdays to compensate the tickets. However when it comes to food, it’s a little bit pricey and toilets are hard to find.

A quaint theme park in the heart of trendy St Kilda. The scenic rollercoaster was really fun and gave you a perfect view of all around stKilda. We also witnessed the sunset which was fun. There were many other good rides too, and some traditional carnival games, food trucks and the essential souvenir shop. A fun day out for the whole family, or with your partner or friends. Queues can be a bit long (30 mins+), and the park is not always open, so look on their website for all the information.

Flown down from WA and currently Half of the pier is completely closed, you can’t really even walk it because only one side is visible and the other is complete construction. Can’t go down to see the penguins and the coffee shop isn’t open either blocked off by big walls due to the construction. Looks like it’s going to be amazing when it’s done! But virtually nothing to see/do on their at the moment, what a shame

It's such a beautiful and serene place, absolutely miss it when I moved away from saint kilda, when I used to go it used to be less crowded but now it was so busy even during the week. Also seen few people leaving their litter.

I have been coming to this Pier in St Kilda since I was 12. It's very safe to walk along the pier, just make sure you have a jacket as it can get very windy and cool at times. It's also the best place to go fishing in Melbourne. I usually come here with my dad to catch silver breams. 😁

My favourite place to watch the sunrise in Melbourne, at present they are doing major maintenance and repairs so you can't get past the old ice-cream parlour so you don't get the full effect, If you can wait until the construction is finished to experience this time of day down here then I would advise you to wait.

Excellent views of windsurfers, lots of fishermen with fresh catch, lots of yachties and a brand new pier nearing completion. Penguins can be viewed at night and parachutists are regular nearby drop zone.

A very nice location for shooting wedding photo portraits and videos. So many nice little pockets of trees, bushes and frames that are very easy to work with. I have only been here when the weather is very nice, so the light is always very easy. If the weather was bad, well, who knows ha ha ha... Also, while I was visiting most recently, there were signs up for the 'Sunset Cinema'. I didn't get to see it, but I think it would be very nice :)

The Saint Kilda Botanic Garden in Melbourne is a true gem. As soon as you enter, you're greeted by a beautifully landscaped garden with an impressive variety of plants, flowers, and trees. The garden is well-maintained and has plenty of benches to sit and enjoy the scenery. There's also a small pond with ducks and other wildlife, which adds to the peaceful atmosphere. One of the highlights of the garden is the conservatory, which houses a stunning collection of exotic plants. The conservatory is well-designed and maintained, and the plants are labeled, which is helpful for those who are interested in learning more about them. Overall, I highly recommend visiting the Saint Kilda Botanic Garden. It's a great place to take a leisurely stroll, have a picnic, or simply enjoy the beauty of nature.

The Rose garden was a particular highlight for me, although I also quite enjoyed the fountain aswell, my visit here with my partner has been a lovely way to spend our afternoon, I very much recommend it to anyone near by, very calm and secluded.

The immediate transformation one experiences upon stepping into the park is breathtaking. As the autumn hues set in, the park is lit up with a warm palette of red, orange, and gold that harmoniously complements the clear blue skies of the season. From the rustling of leaves underfoot to the pleasant aroma of the earth, every moment spent here in autumn is a sensory delight. The gardens are impeccably maintained, with each tree, flower bed, and grassy knoll reflecting the attention and care invested by the dedicated gardeners. The orderly paths meandering throughout invite you to explore and immerse yourself in nature's tranquillity, providing a serene retreat from the bustle of city life.I also want to highlight the excellent amenities at St Kilda Gardens. Clean, well-situated benches offer plenty of spots to sit, reflect, and appreciate the surrounding beauty. The café within the gardens provides a variety of refreshments, making it a perfect spot for a cozy outdoor lunch or a warm cup of coffee on a crisp autumn day.

A beautiful, well maintained garden. Can easily find sunny or shady spots with the abundance of benches and grass. Public toilet available on site. Plenty of different nooks and corners to give you a variety of experiences - areas with streaming water, rows of flowers, more public spots to feel part of the community, or semi private nooks with less people to just relax in nature. Free parking available but limited and in high demand.

Beautiful place to wander through in summer and winter. It's getting better and better as the staff are creating new areas for the public to enjoy, like the Sensory Garden, Fern Gully and Guilfoyle's Volcano.

This is a really nice small public garden, there were lots of people using them, for picnics playing, walking the dog, just enjoying the sunshine and time together, there were plenty of shady spots with seats to ward off the heat, the rose gardens looked beautiful. It is free to just walk thru, stay a while, take the kids to play and just enjoy

Grabbed some Domino's Pizza and had lunch at the St. Kilda Botanical Gardens. It's really nice, quite and relaxing. Trees and palms provide for shade, toilets and bins provided. You may bring your 🐕. Great place. Highly recommend!

This place really is a delight. I walk through it daily and it continues to inspire and ground me (as it does many others). What bliss to see people enjoying these sprawling gardens in such deliciously varied ways. Picnics, people reading under giant tree canopies. Duck watching on the pond, photographing the plentiful bulbs now in flower. Peaceful, delightful, restorative.

"How's the serenity?" We love soaking up the peace and tranquillity at St Kilda Botanical Gardens. Whether it's a 10 minute walk through or a 90 minute stroll and 'sit down picnic' somewhere - a visit here is therapy for the soul.

Lovely gardens with play area for kids, a beautiful lake, rose garden, and areas for picnics. Located a short walk to Akland St and the beach with parking usually available. Public toilets could be better, but recently, they added an additional toilet block which is welcomed.

This is an iconic building. The light effects of its front exterior at night are appealing and vibrant. The interior is designed with classic architecture, preserved in good shape. I like the feel of the sound when the show is going, and the smell inside. The only thing I noticed was the temperature inside can get warmer especially in summer and autumn and, most especially, when it is fully packed. I would go back and watch another shows in the near future.

I came here for the first time to watch a favourite of mine perform, Eric Nam with the addition of the talented Keenan Te as a show opener! and it was an amazing experience 😌 The venue was easy to access, ticketing and all that was a smooth process and it was a full house. It's a nice place to visit if you like live shows or events! And beautiful as well.

Great venue, old understandably. Seating is well placed and organised. Seats are well aligned around the theatre to see the stage. I would imagine doesn't matter where you are seated you can view the performance comfortably. Seating is alittle uncomfortable for longer periods. Theatre has plenty of character & charm.

Great theatre in a beautiful location. Easily accessible by tram and public transport. We were from out of town and flew in for the Xavier Rudd concert July 2022. The seating was comfortable and there was a clear view to the stage. Lighting and acoustics were amazing.

Gorgeous old school theater. I watched IDOMENEO by the Victorian Opera and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The theater is a must visit for its great location, amazing ambience and superb acoustics. Plenty of parking available nearby. They also do snacks and alcohol on site. Seating is outdated and can be uncomfortable for longer shows.

We attended Songs from the Canyon at the beautiful old Palais Theatre.. such a great atmosphere, fabulous performance. Steps up to seating can be a bit dim, so watch your step.

First time I had been inside the Palais theatre for a concert recently. Well kept building, and well preserved. Comfortable seats. Good location. Parking available around the place which isn't free. Well worth seeing.

What an amazing venue with even greater staff! It’s always the perfect temperature and the 1920s seats are era appropriate and comfortable. I have such fond memories of the wonderful artists I’ve gotten to see here, thank you for enriching my cultural experience! A+ 10/10 would recommend

My first time at this Melbourne institution - the grand dame really delivers! Lovely fit out, friendly staff, comfy seats (in the lounge anyway).

We went to our first comedy show at the Palais Theatre. It was so beautiful inside due to the age of the building and the features of the ceilings, carpets and fireplaces. We sat three rows from the top so I was a bot nervous as I am scared of heights.

Great working Experience in Palais theater.. Its really a great honour for me to work here.. 100yrs of history 1000's of Artists and technicians came from here.. Now im the one Experienced the greatness of the history.. Thank you to the Palais theaters management..

Went here for the Carl Baron comedy show. It was amazing I was really happy with the show. Unfortunate that we got stuck right up the back in the nosebleeds but someone has to fill the seat, haha. Still could see the stage and enjoy the atmosphere. Staff were great and service at the bars was very quick and cheerful unlike other venues we’ve visited recently. The actual theatre is a beautiful place and I love the place. Can’t wait for my next show.

One of the greatest music venues in the world. Great seating and wide enough aisles so you don't feel cramped. Every seat has an awesome view of the stage and the sound is perfect. Staff were great and helpful and it's always a pleasure to visit one of Melbourne's gems.

Ah-mazing! Saw Simple Minds here! The venue and the performance didn’t disappoint. Seats were comfy and view was comfy, even tho we were in the nose bleeds. Always a queue for the ladies, so this is a reminder that there are more loos on the 1st level. Take in the surrounds! Chandelier. Staircases. Walls. The comp water on departure was a nice touch xx

The Palais Theatre is such a gorgeous old theatre to see bands. Nice retro feel. The sound is never too harsh, but always plenty loud..

Saw Chris isaak there, going to The Palais is like slipping on a comfortable pair of jeans. It's such a great venue. I have seen a whole various genres of entertainment there, staff always brilliant 👏

Saw The Human League and Brisbane support Tycho Brahe. Awesome experience! Phil Oakey's voice remains astounding! Palais staff were courteous and friendly. Can't wait to see The The there in November.

One of Melbourne's best surviving period Theatres, extensively renovated, in period, good facilities. Sound can be indistinct on the very large balcony. Closer stalls seats will improve your concert experience. Good stage views from most seats. Being in St Kilda, ambience, eating, drinking options abound.

Lots of construction happening outside at the moment, but otherwise a nice venue. The seats we were in were cushioned and didn't fold up, which was pretty nice. There were a good number of queues to get in and they were quick.

❤️ this theatre. It is beautiful, well maintained and clean. We were here for Yiruma concert, sat at lounge which has a good view of the stage.

It is very lively place, almost everyone on Melbourne knows the location. It seats almost 2,700 people, seats are well distributed, nice and clean. There is parking just beside it, but if the show is full, you will have to park somewhere far.

Only half open probably due to Covid-19. Day was pleasant. Plenty jewellery stalls.

Nice and spacious area nearby the shore. Not crowded. Good to look at variety of items, limited food choices. Probably about 40 vendors when I visited

Great setting over looking st kilda esplanade and beach. Right next door to Luna Park. Plenty of restaurants and cafes to choose from. But the Dutch donuts were yummy. Unusual and interesting hand made jewellery on offer too

Flea market with 1 stretch of stalls, with mixture of handicrafts and some food. It will not take very long to walk through the market but there are many things nearby - St Kilda beach, Luna Park, and many restaurants just 10 mins walk below. I would recommend visiting this area.

Worth a visit if you are in the area, but not worth to come just for the market.

Very few stores, and in a very hot day, little shade and huge crowds to wade through. While we bought a few things, the sheer lack of options and the poor location made it an unpleasant experience. Would definitely need a new location, and a few more stores to make it worthwhile. I can however say that I have not seen the same stalls at other markets.

What was once a great market with regional food, wine and artisan breads n pastries mixed in with eclectic art, craft and photography is now just a small group of stalls hanging desperately onto what was. We visited on Sunday 13th August and found approx 20 stalls, walked it in 30 minutes and headed for Ackland St. Some stall holders said the numbers pick up in the warmer months.

One of the highlights while visiting St. Kilda beach front. Many art and crafts stalls, as well as food stalls, operate on Sunday from 10 am. I found 2 interesting stalls selling fresh sugar cane drinks and Harley Davidson trike tours.

I last visited St Kilda's Market about 20 years ago and it has changed much. I really liked it then, it was less crowded and less commercial. Today it very much packed and prices have soared for the items on sale, including food and beverages. Taking a walk to the pier was time better spent.

Very Melbourne, a good selection of handmade crafts and gifts. Great for presents, especially at Christmas, if you want something different from the usual High Street staples. I buy for overseas family to send something unique. 👍🏻

Though the market has some interesting items overall its a bunch of overpriced artisan goods. Yes I can see how could be good for tourists but just leaves me a little bit cold, maybe i'm misremembering but don't think it was always like this and such a shame to see so many empty stall spaces.

Large variety of quality crafts. I purchased a leather satchel from Suzie Q stall and after using it daily a slight tear appeared. I went to the stall and was pleasantly surprised Suzanne was still going strong and she agreed to repair it for me. Her sun hats were beautiful and I bought one as well. Great service.

Nice weekend market at the esplanade quite near the sea. Lots of stuff to buy and eat. Highly recommended

It's difficult to give this less or more than 3 stars.. If I had written this review a few years ago, I would say it needed 12 stars. Don't get me wrong, there are still plenty of great little stalls, and even if you don't plan on buying anything, it's still nice to look on your walk past on a Sunday. Some stalls are quite decently priced, others think they have a one of a kind lottery to sell.

I lived at 251 Brighton Road, Elwood for a time & the constant buzz of Brighton Road/Nepean Highway, right near the intersection of Glenhuntly & Hotham St. Very odd building, let by Agents but often sublet by Lessee. The flats were in desperate need of renovation as were the Garages which were in very bad shape & barely big enough to store a mid-size car. Property adjoined the Gardenvale Hotel with it's battleship exiting right next to the driveway... peace & quiet? Negative. If you're contemplating renting in the area, don't rent at this property!

Accessible 3-4 hour parking around beach area. Picnic areas and restroom closer to beach.

Sweet spot for clear and bright photos 🌞 +1 🌟 Massive parking space. +1 🌟 An awesome location. +1 🌟 Clear water -1 🌟 Congested road to get in and out of above said massive parking space. -1 🌟 Need of more toilets or perhaps dedicated changing rooms to take pressure off the toilets.

Well maintained beach which makes it ideal for families. The waves aren't too big at Elwood beach which again makes it ideal for families with kids. There is a walkway all along the beach front, you can also water out onto the warfs. Not much in the way of food at the beach. But there are plenty of cafes within a 5-10mins drive of the beach.

Sands are rough. Very busy when the weather is nice. The water is not that clear. We found broken glass on the beach closer to the water.

Elwood beach is one my favourite beaches here in Melbourne. Very clean and quiet place. Great view of the Bay and great view of the CBD and sunset. 🌇 You also get some decent dining places in this area. Perfect for an evening walk!!! Highly recommend Elwood beach to any newcomes to Melbourne!!! P.S - Lot of dog walkers.

Great place to visit

Elwood beach has to be my favourite metropolitan Beach here in Melbourne. Great view of the Bay and great view of the CBD and sunset. You also get some decent dining places in this area. Perfect for a weekend walk!!! Highly recommend Elwood beach to any newcomes to Melbourne!!!

A very interesting and well curated permanent exhibition of Jewish culture throughout time. Also currently on exhibition well worth a visit is Helmut Newton's photography. Very interesting. I enjoyed the series of short films before I went up to the exhibition. Perhaps the rear entrance is accessible for wheelchairs and other limited mobilities, prams etc.

A great museum! Excellent Marc Chagall exhibition ranging from his early days to his final works. Running alongside Chagall is an exhibition by local artist Yvette Coppersmith.

It was my first time at the Jewish Museum for the Mirka Mora exhibition which will run until December 2021. It's a beautiful curated exhibition held in a beautiful space. The staff were outstanding and engaging. Do yourself a favour and take the time to book and see this exhibition (an hour out of your time). Mirka is such an iconic part of Australian culture and well worth it!!!

Loved visiting this place for an exhibition. They did a great job with a world class subject. My only comment would be the lighting wasn't good enough but you can't have everything and it was a very interesting exhibition. The permanent Jewish exhibition was also interesting.

This museum is well worth a visit. Try and get a 4 hour park in nearby side street (Crimea St had spaces) - there is quite a lot to see and read about in the museum. If you get to see the current Chagall exhibition then that's a bonus.

Went to see the Marc Chagall prints exhibition. Beautifully presented... it felt so immersively European I was momentarily confused when someone spoke English 🥰 Lovely venue, easy to find via public transport 👌

First time at the jewish museum and can say that I will definitely go back. Lots of interesting facts abou their history and culture. Ian and Roberta are amazing, they were patient answering all our questions and explaining facts their migration to Australia. We were even invited to the synagogue! I don’t have any polish background or Jewish family however I respect this people for all they have been through and their resilience to cope and keep the community together.

The staff at the museum are very nice and helpful. Collections are crossed many areas and demonstrations of the long historical period

Having a Polish Jewish grandparent that survived WWII before migrating to Australia, I thought it would be a great idea to check this place out. Admittedly I only have limited knowledge about Judaism, but this place is fantastic. There's so much about the history of Melbourne's Jewish community and Judaism in general. They even offer a free tour of the synagogue across the road at no extra charge once per day. You should visit and support this museum and the Jewish community in Melbourne.

It was wonderful to see original Chagall pieces and learn more about this important Jewish artist. I also enjoyed the permanent exhibition and learned some new things about the history of Judaism is Australia. The staff were warm and welcoming and answered all my curious kid's questions with patience and kindness and warmth.

We did the laneways and arcades tour. What a fantastic morning! So many hidden walkways that in previous visits to Melbourne we have just walked past! Our tour guide was such a wealth of knowledge and passionate about her hometown. Highly recommend!

Absolute 5 star experience with Fiona our tour guide - I've lived in Melbourne my entire life and yet I learnt so much, about so many of the little details and the history about our beautiful city that Fiona pointed out as we walked from place to place. The restaurants we visited were welcoming, and delicious! So much food! Can 100% recommend this for anyone wanting to learn more about Melbourne, visit some of the best restaurants, whether you're a local or a visitor!

Great food & wine, excellent locations and lots of fun with Fiona as our very knowledgeable guide. Purchased this as a gift for my partner's birthday. We enjoyed it so much that we'll give a voucher to a friend for his 60th birthday present. Highly recommend doing the Progressive Degustation Walk.

Wonderful way to experience Melbourne. Ducking in and out of lanes and arcades, we were given a great sense of the culture here! We got a bit of history, art, and were shown the local favorite restaurants, pubs, and coffee shops.

Judith provided a friendly, fascinating tour through Melbourne's arcades and central area streets. We learned much about the city's past and present and she highlighted many 'hidden in plain sight' features that we would have missed on our own. A good pace, a nice chocolate surprise, and excellent value for a three hour walk.

Liz was terrific. Accommodating, patient, well informed, & charismatic. So many good recommendations, conversation , & tips & tricks to the city. Our only regret is that we didn’t go on this tour as soon as we arrived in the City! Highly recommend!

What a great tour. Even having lived in Melbourne (many many years ago) there was so much interesting info to learn. So many great little alleyways that would be so easy to just walk past without knowing what pieces of magic can be found in them.

Our travel agent booked us on a "Lanes and Arcades" tour as the first thing we did when we arrived in Melbourne. We're so glad that 1. it was planned this way and 2. that we went on this tour. Darcy was extremely friendly and knowledgable and we loved that we were exploring parts of the city that we may have not seen otherwise. We highly recommend!

Excellent tour of the inner city. Our guide Melinda was both friendly and knowledgeable. We found we learnt a lot about the city and there were plenty of opportunities to ask questions. Best of all was the insider tips on places to visit, restaurants and bars. There really is a plethora of hidden secrets tucked away in the Laneways of Melbourne and this tour is the best way to discover them.

The customer service in here is messed up. There has been a lot of mistakes in the table tennis bookings when it says it’s available but they actually not. So you can basically come from 1 hour driving which I do and then get told that there is no tables available. Also last week they supposed to have ready Table tennis by 10 which I booked and then arrived again and the tables were still away even a group of veterans had to booked for the same time helped to put the tables in place. Many times there squash court available when could easily place a table there and booked they refuse to do it even when tables are ready to play in squash courts. Really unprofessional staff wasting people’s time.

Good facilities. They have got good courts for badminton. Remember to bring your own racket and shuttlecock as they charge $4 for borrowing a single shuttlecock.

Wonderful is a very small word for this place. It is amazing. World class. All sports lovers MUST visit/use it.

We have been using these facilities for over a decade, swimming classes are good with dedicated teachers, excellent pools. They also have done add ons during summer school holidays

Really great pool both indoors and outdoors. But the venue closes at 7pm! Would’ve been good if the front desk attendant advised me of this before I entered at 6.30pm. It’s too early. Most people are only able to get to the pool at 6pm onward after work.

An amazing sports centre. Clean and spacious. Bathrooms are a bit wet and showers aren't hot but otherwise there's a great variety of pools,spa, sauna ect All reasonably clean, low prices and vigilant staff. Great experience.

Easy to get to by public transport. Parking behind the venue, first three hours free. There are two cafe's with great coffee.

World class swimming facility. Great set up for events like regional or state swimming levels that we have been to recently. Never had an issue with parking which is surprising but welcomed. Have multiple cafes available just on the outdoor that is undercover. The. You also have cafés for the indoor one as well. Great centre!

Outside Olympic pool is clean, has the perfect temperature and a casual swim is well priced. Also doesn't get too busy

Really dissapointed! We drove a long way to have a special day out & haven't been for a while - the water quality was disturbing in the wave pool & kids pools - not clear & clean looking with notices about sub-optimal filtration requiring frequent water quality testing for safety. The wave pool was more like a SWELL pool - pretty sub-par compared to what it used to be. Lifeguards at the wave pool were not really customer friendly. This used to be a great place to spend a day out - not so much now.

I love going to this place for playing badminton, badminton court are spacious, the charges are pretty reasonable you will get everything there if you need.

Great centre, lots to do, though they only had a very small area of free play. Helpful staff. Was a real rabbit warren of passage ways, was clearly designed in bit then attempted to be rammed together!

Just a quick swim. Aquatic centre practically deserted no more than 4 or 5 people ine each of the 50m pools when I was there. Sure, it was in the middle of the day on a Saturday.

A large park with a lot of grass, but not too much else here, it's the less busy area of the beach if you want to stay around this end.

Beautiful garden and very close to the beach which is a great way to spend time with friends. There are sometimes food trucks here but often times just a great spot to spend time with friends in the open 😎

Great place to chill when visiting St Kilda. It is usually pretty quiet there if no event is happening. Went there for the 2XU Wellness Run and it was awesome. So many people participated and had a great time there. It was pretty hot (27 degrees) for running. Congrats to all runners, you guys are awesome 🏃‍♂️

There today, 10.9.23 for charity walk/run. Of course have been there before, over the years, but first time taking photos! Lots of lovely palm trees and open space. Popular with families, walkers (with and without dogs), tourists, and locals. Part of the fabric of St. Kilda.

Lovely park area with right on the beach in St Kilda. There are tranquil garden areas to sit in peacefully along with a small children's playground. Plenty of space which is suitable for family picnics. From time to time events are also hosted here. Definitely worth a visit especially on a warm sunny day!

An underrated and sometimes forgotten when visiting St.Kilda beach, but worth coming if you’re nearby if you want some quiet space. As you can see it’s pretty well lit up during night. Plenty of benches, there’s a public toilet, some drinking fountain, a lovely rotunda in the middle and its very well maintained. Nice place to chill or have a picnic.

LARGE PARK AND LAKE CLOSE TO CITY CENTRE Albert Park Lake is a beautiful park just out of the CBD. The lake itself is home to lots of wildlife and to various yachting and boating organisations. Great location for jogging - even has fitness stops along the way. Easy access from the St Kilda light rail tram route (get off at MSAC)

Fantastic venue for a lake view plus amazing views of the city. Take a nice walk around the large lake to capture great photos, panoramas and videos and showcase your work. As most people will agree, the best times are sunrise or sunset, but if you can’t make it at those times, you can go on a nice clear day and see marvellous scenes, not only the lake, but ducks, birds and others. Unfortunately I went on a cloudy day, but if you have a good quality camera, even on cloudy days the photos will look great. If you like scenery, I would recommend a visit to this place.

Very nice and serene. I cannot believe that it was my first time (that's what I said) to walk by the lake on foot. It's definitely a different experience and such a beautiful spot. We took a walk and walked by a few places. Didn't have time to go around the whole lake that day but I thoroughly enjoyed it. A few trees around too to get some sneaky frisbee action in also. On a hot day, the trees give great shade. Embrace the darkness and a break from that blistering heat.

Albert Park lake is a man-made lake close to the city of Melbourne. It’s a 5 km loop lined by trees and the beautiful city skyline. It is also home to the Australian formula 1 Grand Prix every year. Lots of Black swans, ducks and seagulls around. Great place to watch sunsets and sunrises or run or walk your dog.

Such a lovely trail with a pretty lake view. I like to come here during my work break and it makes me feel so at peace. There are a few benches dotted around the trail if you want to just sit, relax and enjoy the view.

Spacious area with stunning city views, and the serene presence of swans, ducks, and various birds make this spot a nature lover's paradise. A perfect haven for fishing enthusiasts, the picturesque setting enhances the overall experience. Highly recommend for those seeking tranquility amidst urban charm."

A very large lake with a surrounding trail of about 5 km. There are many ducks, swans, seagulls and other birds. They feed, swim, fly and sunbathe in and around the water. Watch the wildlife and the mirror of the water. Forget about the worries of the city life. Listen to the sounds of the animals, water and the winds. Apply sunscreen because of the hot sun. You can jog or walk your dogs. Cycling is not easy because of the sand and narrow path which is close to the lake. Don’t feed the animals.

A big open space for all activities such as dog walking, canoeing, jogging, or a picnic. Even the playground is catered for kids with disabilities 👍🏻 There’s a big car park available if you drive, but it is also accessible by trams too.

Perfect outing with your dog, family or friends. If you love bird life it's even better. So many different species. Dogs must be on lead . Take a drink bottle with you.

Albert park has an amazing view.. seeing the swan and birds gives some sort of happiness. I wasn't able to capture the beautiful scenery properly on my phone. Great place to have a walk with your dog. This place has public toilets, but it was smelly. Some toilets didn't have toilet tissues.

Possibly one of the best multifunctional inner city parks in the world. Featuring beautiful views of the city, rowing clubs, sailing clubs, and even fishing. The sports complex within its grounds are world-class, and there are a dozen ovals in which to play ball sports, not to mention a 9 hole golf course and covered driving range. And of course Albert Park is the home of the annual Melbourne Formula One race. Hint: To get a photo like the ones I took you’ll need to be up by 6am, and shoot from the eastern edge of the lake.

I rarely come to Albert Park Lake and I don't know why as it is such a lovely place to come for a stroll, looking at the beautiful water views and lovely palm trees. I was actually here today for MS Walk, Run and Roll. I did the 10k Walk and could have done without the drizzle! But great event for a great cause in a great location. Will definitely do event next year but won't wait 12 months before I return to Albert Park Lake. 29.10 here for 5k charity walk and was such a beautiful day, so many people out and about, fantastic.

Well organised event with plenty of food and drinks options. Felt as though there could have been more entertainment around the track to spend time in but all in all a solid event each year.

Great event but is a shame about the heavy handed security on Walker Straight after the race. Elbowing and pushing people who were only taking photos of cars they had paid a lot of money to see and then threatening to smash people's phones was a poor ending to what had been a great weekend. I have never seen that at any F1 race I've ever been too anywhere in the world. No announcements were made that the main straight wad closing just score in of security guards holding linked seems and changing "move. Move. Move" and then telling people that they would smash their phones if they kept taking photos. Sadly three police were following security so I can only think this was a Victorian government way of managing events. Still in shock. Dangerously overzealous security made this an unsafe event.

Absolute disgrace of an organisation!!!! I would be ashamed if I worked here or had anything to do with this organisation!!!!! Such a shame

If you are going to spend the entire Grand Prix boasting about record setting crowds you should also probably acknowledge the lack of transportation, toilets or overall amenities to support said crowds

Attended the Live Fast event in Carlton yesterday around lunch time. Expected to find food and drinks from the local sellers at the event as described on the website and in the pamphlet. There was no food and drink, which was disappointing. Would have hung around but was hungry so left to find some food and didn’t come back.

The longest queues for food and drink I have ever seen. This was a superb event until 2022 . I’m not sure who makes decisions in catering and also entertainment off track , I doubt it’s the same person or people as in previous years. I give it one star. All previous years since 1995 4 to 5 stats

Working with the young ladies and event manager for this years F1 & Moto GP was great. Thoughtful and very helpful in understanding our wants and needs.

After a really bad ticketing experience in this years 2022 MotoGp event, the manager Riley made contact with me and was able to rebuild my confidence in their management. I am now looking forward to next years event.

Great place for walking or run. Busy in the morning (between 7 and 8), many people walking dogs and exercising. The beach can sometimes be smelly, due the proximity to the harbour, but mostly clean and pleasant

One of the numerous beaches along this stretch of foreshore. Not much to recommend it above any of the nearby beaches, but pleasant enough to walk along. Limited food or drink options along the way - you’re better off going to St Kilda or further north for nourishment.

Beautiful beach. Plenty of paid parking available after 7pm. Not sure about the day though.

Pretty beach with lots of restaurants in the vicinity and a lovely bike and walking track if you want to avoid the sand. Very safe place for a swim, very calm bay waters.

Nice beach, clean and quiet located in quiet area. Too bad there is no toilet and water fountain. Easy to reach by tram 12
