Really never thought much of it until I visited the place. So many things to talk about. The parking is plenty so that's covered. The steak clock right across the entrance is so amazing. The staff in the ticket counter were so friendly in trying to explain the different routes. I used my dine and discover voucher to get a little discount. The blue and the red cable cars were the best in my view. The trail down in the forest was just insane. The massive trees, sounds of nature. All in all what a beautiful experience

Great day out with my little sister. Not too busy, friendly staff, gorgeous scenery. Great for a family day out, although if you have a stroller it may be a bit difficult to navigate throughout, nonetheless the majority is wheelchair and stroller accessible. Bonus points for the food being good too, didn’t wait to long and wasn’t overly expensive.

I visited on a holiday, but fortunately it wasn't crowded. I purchased the ticket online in advance before visiting, and it was nice that the guide at the entrance put a barcode band on my wrist and explained whole course in detail. Additionally, I was able to comfortably eat a simple lunch box prepared in advance at the table located in below zone. I thought that children would like it because there were various types of dinosaurs moving around and making sounds. It was convenient to follow the deck road course and the guidance was well provided. I used the cable car on the way up, and after coming up, it was nice to buy gifts at the souvenir shop located at the observatory, and it was also nice to go out and take pictures.

It's a wonderful place for a one day trip with friends and family. They have 3 different rides to cover up all the area in the Scenic World. But the best one was the Scenic Railway 🛤. The angle of 52° makes it crazy while going down, especially when you're sitting on the very first seat! Staff is very friendly, jolly & helpful. The other two rides are not that crazy but provide the best view of nature's beauty. We went there quite early, so in the morning the place wasn't that busy. So we were able to ride all three rides without any waiting. But later, around 11am/12pm it started to get crowded, and the waiting time we experienced was around 5 to 10 minutes. More waiting time for train as almost everyone wanted to sit in front seats.

There were 7 of us visiting that day and everything is great. The ticket purchasing was smooth, the staff were extremely helpful and told us exactly what and where we might want to go. We went on all the cable cars and our favorite one would be the red one that go down a somewhat steep hill. We also had lunch there, beside the chicken burger being a bit dry, everything is nive at a reasonable price. We spent about 5 hours there and we had a great time as a family =)

Fifty bucks per head but worth it especially if you use your dine and discover vouchers and get it for $25. The dinosaur walkway is pretty cool. There are actual real dinosaurs there so be careful. Plenty of room and free parking. The staff were all really great especially Lila who said her name was Eric if you didn’t like her. Everything is really clean and the lines moved quite quickly so don’t be put off by long lines.

Amazing , I have been to the Blue mountains before but never to the scenic world wide of things. The views are incredible and it's something I will never forget . Absolutely loved the steepest railway . Went on that 4 times . Everything was super reasonably priced too. Typically tourist attractions over charge but scenic world was good on the price front

Great Day activity to do if you’re already planning to visit the blue mountains. We arrived right when it opened and recommend coming early before the crowds. We had about 3 hours before it got busy and we’re able to enjoy most of the trails with minimal other people on a weekend. Buy tickets in advance to skip the queue. The new dinosaur valley is cute and great for kids if they like Dino’s and learning about them. I would say though there aren’t toilets in the Dino valley so plan accordingly as if you do all the trails could take about hour to hound and half. We enjoyed riding the railway and sky rail, amazing views! Would recommend riding more than once. All in all would recommend! It is great to be able to go into the national park as well. It’s also nice to come back and forth to the diner area for breaks if you need time between trails. Also, highly recommend the chicken food truck out front!

This is fantastic for families and friends, and I had a terrific time exploring here with my family. I adore all the airways, ground ways, and cable ways, especially more trains since I can see wonderful views from from top to bottom 🥰. I recommend that everyone visit here during their vacations, especially with their families. 🥰

A great experience to see the major attractions in this part of the Blue Mountains. This is well worth the money. I recommend getting here early as it gets pretty busy around 1100 AM onwards. Parking fills quickly after 930 on weekends

Scenic Skyway was outstanding with breathtaking views of the beautiful and majestic Blue Mountains ⛰️ it was a wonderful day out with all the rides. Everything was nice. Every ride has a man who guides you. It was an amazing experience. Definitely, I’d recommend it to all my friends.

A fantastic experience. Loved the train - steepest in the world!. Also the area of the Blue Mountains is bigger than the Grand Canyon - who knew. All the experiences - gondola, train and sky rail , plus the platform walks - as many times as you like for $50 - great value. All the staff were very helpful and friendly and knew their stuff. Visited this while on a trip to Sydney. It's way more efficient to buy tickets online, there was a long queue to grab a ticket. Make sure you have full energy to visit here. Less a place for sitting and long waiting for the steep drive and others as well. I've felt this view is a bit overrated, but it was fun visiting. You can experience the magnificent view of the three sisters. A storey of the building is allocated for parking which is free surprisingly in Sydney😄.

This was an amazing experience for the whole family. Usually rides like these are over rated but we found ourselves going back a second and third time. The scenery is forever spectacular, the friendly service was outstanding and even the food was better than I expected! This is a must-do for anyone visiting the Blue Mountains, yes, it's a bit expensive but it's worth every cent because at the end of the day you may only do it once! The whole family, including young kids, will love the entire experience. We spent at least half a day walking around taking the rides and experiencing the scenery.

What a great place for all ages. Although not a physically active person who doesn't do much walking - this place accommodated walks for all abilities. Views are understandably spectacular. Train + both Cable-cars are great fun offering more spectacular views. Visiting Blue Mountains - this is a must. OK cafe + shop too.

Scenic World is a great place to take the family for an outdoor activity. The coal mining car ride is very cool, but it's a bit short. The day we went, it was very foggy and drizzling rain. So we didn't get to see the wonder valleys. There are loads of tails to hike if you're feeling adventurous. You can really make a day of it. We stopped in the Cafe for a dnack and coffee, which was nice. They have a great selection of themed gift in the gift shop. The dinosaur spin on it, I believe, is just a marketing spin. I don't think they've found any fossils here. All the staff were warm and friendly. Service with a smile. I would recommend and give them five stars.

Visited on Saturday, Enjoyed and had good experience. If visiting on Saturday, better to book early morning. Post 1:00pm crowd increases and have to wait in queue for each entry. I saw huge crowd waiting on Saturday post lunch for each entry. Overall nice and thrilling experiences.

Lovely place to visit. Plenty of staff & much improved since our last visit probably 20 years ago. We used the skyway, cable car & railway. We thought the raised boardwalk was a great addition, getting us off the forest floor. There were even misting fans to cool us when we had to wait in queues. Well worth the cost for a day pass

Multi-storey Car Park on site. Well organised entry process. Friendly, efficient staff. We really enjoyed the experience of floating above the Blue Mountains in a Gondola. Both short and long walks are available throughout Scenic World and the neighbouring National Park. Restaurant and Cafe on site.

An excellent spot for a Sunday hike. The blue mountains provide scenic views and the rides in Scenic World are a must visit. The skyway and Cableway are cool but the Scenic Railway was amazing. Remember to grab your bottle of water, a hat (if it's sunny), good sneakers and plenty of sunscreen. The restaurant is decent with vegetarian options as well. The hikes have options on difficulty levels and are well maintained even in wet weather.

GREAT value for money!! You can spend the whole day doing multiple rides. You can leave and come back. There are some terrific walks with breathtaking views and the rides are are so much fun. Staff are informative and very friendly - special shout out to JULES!!!! He was patient, friendly and helpful!!!! We had a fabulous visit here. They ask for voluntary feedback at the end of the visit, and one question was, “how can we improve your visit”? Huh 🤔 we had nothing. Everything to us was spot on!!!

Large tourist attraction offering scenic views of the blue mountains. Has 3 separate rides that you’ll have unlimited access to on your day of visit which transport you around different areas of the park. Best to get there early as it got very busy with bus loads of tourist from Sydney etc. Commentary provided on the rides which is both funny and helpful for your knowledge of the sights. Decent boardwalk down in the valley where you can encounter some of fauna up close.

It was breathtaking! The view was so amazing and i love the train cable, it was super fun. Felt like u were in a jet coaster ride. The price was a bit too high for only 3 rides and rainforest walk. Paid $64 Probably would make more sense if it was around $45, The cable was short although the view was sooo splendid. This place reminds me how wonderful God's work is. Truly magnificent! The waterfall was so beautiful, the rainforest was interesting. Lots of things to see in the coal mine too.

This trip was part of our Blue mountains tour. I wish we had longer to really explore the rainforest, however what we saw was stunning. The rides were well organised and I would have loved to do them all twice, maybe next time.

Best place to sight wide range of mountains. The three sisters are unique rocks with magnificent view of national park from up above. However today was freezing and would recommend warm clothes suitable for 2 to 5 degrees chill in winter.

Usually people visit this place in day time and is a beautiful Place too. Recently I have visited the same in evening to take Milky way photos. Little city light was ok but I have got super photos this time. Easy to reach the place from Katoomba Rail Station or easy drive from the motor way. Walk it also very very beautiful. Plenty of parking.

Not too crowded but amazing views. Parking is available 2 minutes from the venue if you don’t find any spots near the monument. Sometimes crowded (especially during the weekend) but you can still get pictures. My personal recommendation is during sunrise or sunset, for the best colors. I don’t think there is any trail but pretty close from the nearby towns. If you’re making a quick stop, do visit.

Please check the weather before you visit three sisters. It was too foggy to see anything from the main spot at the top. See photos. But you could walk down to the honeymoon bridge and you might witness the beautiful and magical sight of fog clearing from the three sisters. Really amazing views and lots of hikes to choose from.

Beautiful sight and accessible from the Katoomba station via a frequent bus. There are many platforms where you can take photos with the 3 sisters. Path is well-paved on the short 20 min stroll to the 3 sisters. There is a steeper path once this nice stroll ends if you choose to do a longer walk. Great place to bring both young and old, or enjoy a nice hike. No tickets required. There are bathrooms available at the viewing area.

Great place to visit the mountains for a short day trip. Plenty of paid parking near the location and unpaid one is at a little walking distance near the residential areas. Few food outlets nearby, but because of the tourist spot, it's obviously a little more expensive than the normal locations. If you want to save money, bring your own food or eat before reaching this destination. Avoid the school holidays period or the weekends if you prefer fewer people around the area.

It was a nice lookout. I'm from Arizona in the USA and vistas like this are a dime a dozen so I wasn't terribly impressed. The Three Sisters are a moderately interesting rock formation. I learned that the blue haze came from the eucalyptus oil of the forest. I wish it would have been a stronger scent of eucalyptus.

Amazing spot and must see! The blue mountains are just spectacular! The hike are so various and nice prepared. It’s always nice to go there and find something new. There are restrooms, lot of parking spots directly on the spot and supermarkets nearby. Don’t forget to carry enough water, food and maybe mosquito sprays.

Magical place to see, I have visited 2 times to this area and last time it was foggy so the gum trees looked so beautiful. But a pink sunset would be perfect here. Katoomba is the closest town to the Three Sisters and has many shops and cafes, I also know that you can catch the train from Sydney CBD to Katoomba, then walk or catch the bus to the to the mountains from there.

It was the first time I went to NSW. Decided to go to see Three Sisters Walk (Blue Mountains). The time I entered this place, I loved it more and more. So peaceful, beautiful like heaven, and very safe, especially for kids, as it has barriers in place. Coming back soon. The best time to visit is mid-June to mid-July. No tickets needed.

It was my first time to visit. It was very, very magnificent. The weather was clear and it felt like I was in the ancient times of dinosaurs. The air was also very good. You must come to play!

This 1.5km walk us most enjoyable with great views of the Blue Mountains. I went at dusk to view both th sunset and the spotlights on some of the features. There are lights marking the pathway but a small torch would be handy to help navigate the paths.

Oh the view from top is amazing we have decided to walk all the way down and was amazing every stop we did you can spot different view and lots of wild animals like parrots 🦜 etc they have a cable car but you can’t buy one way ticket so when we walked down we had to walk back all the way or you have to pay both way ticket. Also make sure you got planty of water and some snacks as while you start walking there won’t be nothing on the way. The water fountain is on the end of the walk.

Beautiful walk, about 3 hours of treckking from the three sisters lookout to Leura, a small and cute village where you can have lunch or dinner in a pub. The walk was amazing, the first 30minutes are plenty of stairs that, if you start it in the three sisters lookout, are in the way down. After that, you can walk through a nice forest with tall trees and you can feel you are in the bush, in the jungle. After finding some cascades and waterfalls you will need to go upstairs to go to the Leura village, with a first stop at the picnic area. Before that, you have the opportunity of having a swim or, at least, refresh your feet in one of the waterfalls. We ended the day in Alexandra pub, in the village of Leura, which has a train station to go back to Sydney and it is just 2hours away from the city. It was not busy at all during the walk even it was on Friday the 29th of March and it is public holiday, just a few people doing that trip. The train was so bust, though, with a lot of people with big backpacks to spend a few days. The scenic world is not worth it, too expensive for what it is.

Amazing views of the whole blue mountain range including of course the 3 sisters, which just keeps getting better if you hike down to the bottom. Make sure you consider your hiking ability as the stairs are very steep - and after enjoying the hike down you'll have to hike back up again - lol. Make sure to take lots of water and some power bars. Your phone most likely wont work if you hike to the bottom. Highly recommended and will definitely return with friends when traveling in the Sydney region.

I think people of all fitness levels could do the walk, there are some parts of it with some steep stair descend, which would be hard on people with arthritic knees.

Very good view, but there are 1000s of people here all pushing to get a pic. There are other viewpoints which are great with NO bus/coach access which give you a better experience.

Just a fantastic short walk. Once you get below the 3 sisters not many tourists. We walked around to the scenic world train and gondola. The only disappointing thing is that the gondola ride up you cannot pay for a 1 way so they wanted $60 per person for the ride. Next time we will bring water and walk up. One of the quintessential Blue Mountains tourist attractions. With a few decent bush walking tracks dotted around this, it makes for a great day trip up from Sydney if you are into nature and bush walking. There a few cool eateries on the high street which is a 20 min walk away, however, there are a few options closer by. The train ride up from Sydney City takes about 2 hours and is quite a relaxed and picturesque ride in. Parking is also available near the spot although it does fill up pretty quick during the holidays. Scenic world is also near by.

An amazing place to visit in Blue mountains range. There is a stunning view of the three sisters rocks from here. Washrooms are available which are clean and comfortable. There is a shop to buy souvenirs and some items like bee honey, information leaflets etc. The souvenirs are bit expensive here. If you are a visitor, better buy them from Haymarket.

A stunning spot which to say you can just drive park and walk to the viewing area is amazing. Parking is charged until 17:00. It’s amazing to come and sunset to see the last of the rays hit the rest of this outstanding area. Small information boards available which is great and easy access to the walks if you come earlier.

My trip to Sydey went really great after visiting the three sisters. We were completely amazed with the Natural Landscape at three sisters. Being a lover of nature, I am always keen to see mountains and trees and this place is one such gem to explore the nature and enjoy your cuppa. We had spend a wonderful evening yesterday at this place along with exploring few more places within blue mountains. For anyone who is keen to see the beautiful and natural landscapes, I would highly recommend a trip to Blue mountains if you are travelling to Sydney.

A few different walks and routes to do from here, just make sure to bring your bug spray as there's a lot of flies! Definitely a good starting point for the blue mountain hikes!

As I gazed at them from Echo Point, the scenery was simply stunning, with the Jamison Valley stretching out below. The interplay of light and shadow on the cliffs was mesmerizing. Yeah I had an awesome day out. It was a nice relaxing time just to take some time out for myself to relax my mind and forget about other things for a few hours. Doing the giant staircase walk was tough but it was a good way to relax the mind and to sit down and relax halfway down and take in the beautiful scenery we have in this country.

Great views! We arrived just in time before it started to get quite busy (around 10:45). Easy access to a few different viewing platforms. The stairs to the three sisters were very narrow and busy, so we gave that a miss. Parking for an hour and a half was $12.60 (meters are card payment) There were toilets and an information centre at the lookout too.

Took my breath away and totally worth the relatively short drive from Sydney. Dress warm as the wind can be cold. Good walking shoes, a hat, drink bottle and definitely a good camera are musts. Walking tracks for all levels of fitness but always remember that sooner or later after lots of downhill there has to be uphill 😂

Very beautiful place. So many spring flowers in bloom. All atmosphere filled with many scents of flowers. Extravaganza of colours. People living on these beautiful streets really live in paradise. All lovely woods and cliffs. Pure clean air.

It is about a 20-30 minute walk from Katoomba station. Considering the time it takes to wait for the bus, I thought it would be faster to walk, so I went to Echo Point and Scenic World instead of taking the bus. Echo Point was very beautiful and spectacular. It was the most amazing view I have ever seen and it was a great experience. I saw three rocks called the Three Sisters and there was a small rock next to them and I wondered if they were with their children. There were a lot of people, but the view was clear and we were able to take pictures quickly. Very neat experience. Very nice.

This place is truly amazing for soaking in the breathtaking views of the 3 Sisters in the Blue Mountains. For an unforgettable experience, time your visit just before sunset to witness the landscape come alive with stunning hues. A must-visit destination for nature lovers and adventurers alike.

I haven't been here in over 10 years. Nice to see the viewing platform has been updated. Plenty of space for everyone to view. Walked across the bridge and touched the 3 sisters, was a great experience.

After eventually getting parking it was great. The views awesome, although plenty of people there, so was very busy. Be prepared to either park a fair way away from the site or try and snag a park closer. Maybe because it was New Years day it was busier than most days, but maybe it's like this all the time. Parking is paid between 0800 - 1700 Mon to Sun, if you can find a spot. After 1700 then no charge.

I recently visited Echo Point in the Blue Mountains, and it was a mix of awe and frustration. The beauty of the Three Sisters rock formation was absolutely mesmerizing. The towering cliffs and stunning vistas left me in awe of nature's grandeur. 😍🏞️ However, the strong winds at Echo Point added a thrilling element to the visit. It was a crazy windy place, which made me appreciate the power and force of nature. It certainly added an adventurous twist to the experience! 💨🌬️ On the downside, parking at Echo Point proved to be quite challenging. The limited parking spaces and high demand made finding a spot a frustrating task. 😕 Moreover, I encountered angry neighbors who were quick to scream at anyone who parked poorly. This encounter with an angry Aussie left a negative impression and made it my least favorite visit to the area. 😔 Overall, Echo Point offers breathtaking views of the Three Sisters and showcases the awe-inspiring beauty of the Blue Mountains. The crazy windy conditions add a thrilling aspect, but the difficult parking situation and encounters with angry neighbors dampened my experience. Despite the challenges, the natural beauty remains a sight to behold, and it's worth a visit to witness the magnificence of the Three Sisters firsthand.

I enjoyed the lookout point. The views were great. The town where the lookout point is located was helpful. There is a center with different food options and a souvenir shop. There were different levels of walking paths to lookout points.

Get a birds eye view of the majestic three sisters. Enjoy a stroll through the beautiful trails. Take photos of the mountains and surrounding areas. Experience the history of the three sisters.

Amazing view. if you want to enjoy your weekend with your family then go to Blue Mountain and wnjoybthe Beauty of Nature and some exciting rides. suggest to purchase the ride tickets in advance. You will find it in their website.

Great place with a great view across the valley- if there’s no fog….. Most tourists stay at the lookout and don’t go down the giant stairway. You should definitely try it: it’s really exhausting, but a great hike and experience. The National park webpage says it’s 998 stairs 😀 and a grade 4 walk (maximum would be 5…)

Excellent day trip, FJ Tours was a really good company; medium sized coach was nice, our guide Huxley was super nice and a great driver! Long day, but well worth it. We stopped at Featherdale Wildeness Park on the way, and got to pet a Koala and see all kinds of Australian wildlife. The Blue Mountains are a must-see for sure, breathtaking!

It's nice up here and not too crowded. I went at the end of December around 6pm and it was quite windy. Nevertheless, super nice scene! Parking took a little bit of time to find though as most of the street parking got taken pretty quickly, but we circled around twice and found a spot.

What a beautiful place to visit. We went during week day and early so as to beat school groups. It was a beautiful clear fall day. Was definitely cooler up there than it was in Sydney. Had great view of 3 sisters. Did tithe tour with Viator.

The blue mountains look clearly visible and stunning view from this point. Easy walk ways and only 5 minutes from the parking lot. Lots of paid parking space available. Very busy area, lots of visitors, also there is visitor center if you have any questions one of the staff can assist, staffs are very friendly.

The sheer scale of the mountain range never fails to amaze. Consider visiting at sunset if you wish to have the Three Sisters illuminated (they will be in the shadows at sunrise). The lookout is well lit at night. The lookout itself has been recently renovated with improved accessibility ramps and more seating. There are a few vantage points to soak in the view, aside from the main lookout everyone will immediately flock to. Take the stairs/ramps down to explore other vantage points. There is no entrance fee for this lookout or the walking trails that go from here. The only public toilets I saw were the portable toilets, but there must be others in the visitor info centre and foodcourt nearby.

The big mountains at Three Sisters do make you feel tiny. Great leg workout up or down the 800m steep hill. Lots of other walk trail options for people who want to hike more. Be prepared for over 2 hrs of travel time if you're catching public transport. Bus access every 10 mins to get to Scenic Cruise from Three Sisters. Would do it all over again.

Gorgeous views as usual. Be sure to check the weather before you go because as you can see I went once when it was cold and misty and you could barely see anything. Parking is VERY expensive if you park in the closest carpark so if you don't mind walking a little park further away. There's also not much to eat or drink around so having a bite at Leura is probably a better option.

Beautiful place, great options for shorter and full day trips in the rainforest. Cable cars allow you to move faster in the terrain, with which you have the opportunity to see this vast landscape from a different point of view

You've made it. Youre here. You saw the Three Sisters in the distance and now you're beside them. The staircase is steep and dangerous but you took your time and came to see this phenomenal vista. What a lovely place. Keep going down the staircase and you will reach the bottom of the rainforest where a hazardous but nevertheless amazing trail no doubt awaits. Tuck your socks into your pants in high grass and watch for spiders and snakes. Or you might even run into a large but lethargic hedgehog like I did.

A short but steep Walk, manageable. View are magnificent.

Breathtakingly beautiful and breathtakingly steep. So worth it! 1 hour parks in the street are long enough to linger at the views from Echo Point and complete this round trip walk. So many other trails to come back and explore another time.

I just want to use two words to describe the experience, "Oh, man!" It is one of the scariest hikes I have ever done. 900 steps, some of which are really steep with turns that you can even see where they lead to. The path is so narrow that most part allows one person to pass. So be mindful of the traffic as giving ways in the midst of the climbing can make you a bit nervous. Getting down can be quick and scary but walking back up is more tiring and takes much longer. For someone who exercises regularly it will take about 30 mins with short breaks. For people with acrophobia, or fear of height, the best strategy is not to look away, just to focus on the steps. It is not dangerous per se. As narrow as the path is, there are hand rails on both sides. As long as you focus on your steps and hold onto the rails, it will be fine. Only take photos if you feel comfortable while on the track.

A moderate walk with many challenging steps. This is one of the busiest walks in the mountains, so as a local, I prefer to get there very early to avoid the crowds.

Not too hard. Took around 3 hours to finish the track, it’s a bit dangerous on the staircase if it rains but the weather was nice.

The last 80 or so metres down the steps are narrow so do use the handrails and take your time. I'd recommend proper footwear which can grip (don't wear canvass or what some others did like flip flops). Good views and on a cloudy day when you can't make out the 3 sisters from Echo Point - going to this point is good enough (you'll make out at least one sister - and perhaps two through the fog) 🏆 There was a point at the bottom where you can cross the bridge at the bottom and touch the three sisters (well one of them) however they have since closed that off (due to the likelihood of a rockfall). Overall - was a good adventure. Made a vlog about it too which I intend to upload to my channel as well.

Timed our visit as the white rolled in. A little early June drizzle didn’t dampen our spirits. Added to the ambience in my opinion. Sadly unable to get across Honeymoon Bridge as it was closed due to dangerous conditions. Heart pumping walk for a variety of reasons. A must-do. Not recommended for those with a fear of heights or unstable on their feet.

Spectacular, yet precarious climb. Thankfully, we have a pass to get the scenic railway back up to the top. Still a 90min walk from the base of the stairway.

A great place to hike/trek. However, it is not for the faint hearted. Some parts of the staircase are really steep and just hanging by the side of the cliff/mountain, looking down will turn your leg jelly. The passage is small and enough for 1 person so take note when there are people going in both directions. Nearing the base the path opens up and you get more greenery. Going down was not too bad, just had to go slow and watch the step. Going up I think can be a killer, it's a really tiring climb up. We climbed down and walked 1hr to the scenic world base station. Scenic world ride back to the top ends at 4:50pm, if you miss the last ride back up you have to climb the stairs (Giant Stairway) all the way back up - so take note.

Although the Giant Stairway was closed due to weather, we were able to get up and close with one of the Three Sisters and was amazing to see the sandstone layering and weathering of the formation.

Great place to hike if you're here to see the three sisters. It's at the side and the stairs are pretty narrow and steep. Be extra careful especially after rain. It should take you about 15 minutes to get to the bottom. When you are at the bottom, you can walk on the trails which is pretty much flat.

The semblance of things: portraits by Nick Stathopoulos; exhibition opened on Friday night 3 Feb 23. This selection of portraits covers a 30 year span of the artist’s work, and is beautifully curated by Rilka Oakley. In addition to the portraits, there are videos of Nick’s painting process, historically significant photographs and sketchbooks showing the artist’s preparatory ideas. It was especially interesting to see some of the subjects of the portraits moving about the exhibition. It added another level of realism to Stathopoulos’ photorealistic style. The evening was ably supported by violin and vocal virtuoso Maizy Coombes, performing in the foyer at the gallery entrance. Maizy uses looping to layer violin and vocal harmonies; in order to create often syncopated polyrhythms and complex tonal structures. A magnificent evening, and the exhibition is a must see. Artist Talk with Nick Stathopoulos Sat 4 Feb 11am-12pm: For a man who purports to shy away from crowds, Nick’s address to an admiring audience was anything but subdued; in fact it was a compelling, highly engaging and regularly amusing oratory. Maybe he was buoyed by an obviously adoring audience; and let’s face it, who doesn’t love to be adored. Stathopoulos guided us on his Archibald journey, from his first portrait of “Mr Squiggle”, through a matrix of subjects (models), seemingly ordered more by serendipity and happenstance, than considered logic. From standing in a queue with David Stratton, to having the man with the red beard gazing in his studio window. Every portrait has its own, most-often complex history. Mr Squiggle was completed in 3 days to meet a deadline, despite a freshly implanted stint. By contrast Deng took 5 months. It appears there’s no formula to creativity. I don’t know if Nick’s talk was recorded; for others to share and appreciate, but I will check.

Great gallery, library, gift shop and cafe all with an epic view over the town and National Park. The gallery puts on a range of high quality exhibitions as well as workshops and events.

SUCH pretentious staff, seriously. Maybe owing to the title or the fact they hold an art gallery inside, I am not sure but the last coffee I even ordered here was two years ago with a mate and while I don't care whether the chick serving me is charming or flat, he instantly started telling me while still at the counter how stuck-up the staff are and the coffee, average at best but then coffee is - I find - either drinkable or not, with little grey-area. But go to any other part of the Cultural Center *OR* the Library and you'll find the same kind of attitude: like they're working at the Louvre in Paris, the way they carry themselves. You, the customers? You're all just lowly grubs in the great sea of unwashed nobodies compared to the oh-so-refined salad-tossers and book-sorters and the art gallery staff themselves, wow; they are next level conceited for a slab of building in a town of only 7,000 locals whose only interest in the Cultural Centre, is cutting through it to reach the train station faster. As someone else stated: biggest white elephant in the mountains.

They don't seem to have a car park. Business sign is hard to notice when driving pass. Nice gallery with community feel. I like black and white photos related to the pandemic. However, lady at desk in gallery room on Thursday doesn't reflect sense of community. No greeting or making eye contact with visitors. Ladies at reception desk are friendly though. Great panorama view at back of building makes our visit worthwhile. Disappointed with food in cafe. Split pea soup is salty. Homemade bread roll is nice though. Hot chocolate is fine. Menu seems to please vegetarians.

Part of the gallery is closed to prepare for new exhibition. There is only 1 exhibit which is the cosmos art in astronomy, which is a pretty intriguing exhibition.

I went here yesterday and I found it less than impressive all that was here was a couple of art displays which you had to pay to see and the few art sculptures pretty ordinary HISTORY In 1919 the site established the Katoomba School District bringing secondary education to the upper mountain area. There were 61 children enrolled that year. During the depression in the 1930's enrolments declined as children left school to help support their struggling family. Then between 1930's-1950's a new site was sought as the enrollments increased. In 1962 the new Katoomba High School was opened. The Cultural centre was opened on the 17th November 2012.

A beautiful art gallery, cafe, exhibition and events space, viewing platform, and public library all in one. I’ve visited several times to see different exhibitions in the gallery, and each one has been of very high quality - very well curated and with artworks sourced from a wide range of institutions and galleries, and entry prices are reasonable. Definitely worth visiting when in Katoomba for a day trip or weekend away. The Wollemi Artisan Markets held at the Centre have also been wonderful, really showcase a wide range of goods - hopefully these can return post-COVID!

So much promise. Saw the just opened Occupied exhibition and it's a very interesting collection of drawings related to the Bushfires and Covid19. Unfortunately the World Heritage exhibition wasn't open, but the building, it's design and viewing platform are all fascinating. Well worth a visit.

Fantastic people. Brian was an exceptional guide and a lot of fun to hang with. I was lucky when I booked the combined abseiling and canyoning in that no one else had booked the second half, and I ended up with a private experience. Not only that, we had the canyon to ourselves as well. Not to be missed if you’re in Katoomba!

The canyoning at the Jugglers canyon was absolutely amazing! The abseiling in the morning was a nice initiation for the rest of the day. The provided lunch was very tasty, and the guides Ben and Tim were very friendly and helpful! Tim even gave us a taste of some bush food! The canyon is stunning, and canyoning in the blue mountains is a must do for everyone visiting the city area!

I had such a great time with Tim, Zol and Gemma! They planned the trip well and since it was my first time climbing outdoors, i was a bit nervous. But they were all so encouraging and gave me the confidence to attempt more difficult routes. Would definitely want to come back for more full day climbing activities in future! High and Wild Australian Adventures is a must if you are ever visiting the area. It was our first time abseiling/rappelling with our guide, Zoltan. He was knowledgeable, professional, and supportive in easing our nerves in trying something new. The scenery and company was top-notch. I highly recommend them and taking a risk on an awesome adventure/experience!

We had an incredible experience canyoning and abseiling with high and wild. The guides made everyone feel safe and comfortable, and their knowledge about wildlife and fauna was incredible. So we went rock climbing and abseiling which we’re so happy we did. Thanks Aiden* for being so accommodating and trouble shooting ideas - we appreciated your good communication and suggesting such an awesome adventure. The rock climbing was incredible and the views were spectacular. Ben was calm, friendly, encouraging, genuine and we felt like we were hanging with a friend but felt incredibly safe and trusted him with our lives , easily. His experience shone through. Would do over and over again. Us 4 left with big smiles and a day full of memories to take us forward on to our next adventure.

Hi. I did the Empress Canyon with two mates. Perfect experience from beginning to end. There is some "training abseiling" in dry conditions which is in an epic environment and very fun. there is also a bit of hiking with amazing views. The actual canyoning is about 1/3 of the time. Every stage of the program is very fun. I liked + booking process + costumer service and response time before and after event + guides + good and enough food + good pictures (also uploaded right after) I did not like: - There is nothing I did not enjoy. It was one of the greatest challenges I had. I'm so glad that I could do it with you guys. I'm afraid of heights, so I pick up the abseiling as a personal challenge. Tim and Zoltan were legends! Talk about delivering on a promise. Our highly experience guides and part-time comedians, Ben and Zoltan made it fun and safe. The crew I went with were awesome, a mix of locals and travellers with a shared sense of adventure. Abseiling down a 20 metre cliff face into a stunning canyon had to be the highlight of the day. The canyoning and abseiling in the Empress Canyon was amazing! Sal and Ben did a fantastic job from welcoming us, doing the safety check, walking us through how to do abseiling, sharing knowledge about the Blue mountains, making us laugh etc! My family and I had such a great day abseiling and canyoning with High and Wild. Ben was such a great tour guide- we felt safe the whole time (despite some of the activities being a bit out of our comfort zone!). Great quick walk to stretch the legs with almost instant access to waterfalls and stunning a views without any of the sweating required by most hikes. Sure you can home further and higher into the mountains to see more waterfalls, but why would you when a short 20 minute loop walk provides fresh air and good photos. Limited parking out the front and is on a first come first serve basis. Cute place for a date hike.

Beautiful walk, fully pathed and not too long at all. Multiple lookouts so plenty of room for everyone. So excited we were able to take our dogs! Would love to visit at night for the night walk!

We did the night time walk and it was amazingly well developed and lit up - three sisters, falls and star studded sky all visible. Sturdy wooden walkways all throughout but with the beautiful natural environment right next to you. Spectacular views as well, 100% would recommend for anyone in the area.

Been here along with the scenic world. Amazing fall, and a nice vibe. A sitting arrangement is provided for a quick click. Stairs are available to reach here quite a lot. People usually take photos here. The photos from the bridge, and a person standing near the fall would be lit. Everything is amazing here. Unreal and beautiful.

Very relaxing place to watch the water falls. You can also have a short walk along the water flowing through the creek.

We drove here from Bondi for a morning out. We arrived quite early around 10:30am. Parking is ample and expensive. There’s a short stay style car park which was $10 for 1 hour however the walks would take longer if you’re adventurous so we moved the car to another car park which was $20 for 1.5 hours. I’d recommend arriving early as around midday/1pm it gets really busy. We walked to the Honeymoon bridge first (which was shut due to rock falls) before walking to Katoomba Falls. A delightful walk with lots of steps but very scenic. We had our son (8 months old) in a carrier so it was hard work but worth it. Not suitable for wheelchairs or prams unless you want to carry them! The scenery is breathtaking and only a snapshot of the blue mountains beauty! There is a visitor centre and shop at the three sisters lookout. There are so many other things to see so plan on multiple visits or spend a few days there camping or in one of the many airbnbs/hotels around.

Beautiful walk, even in the fog 😅 couldn't see a lot, but was still beautiful. The walking tracks all twist & weave throughout the parklands. You could walk 200m & see some waterfalls & lookouts or walk 3km to see more. It's up to you & also depends on where you park, see photos for maps of areas 🙂 Well maintained concrete paths through most of the area, a few wet muddy spots, easy to avoid though.

A most-see spot in Blue Mountains!!! The Katoomba Falls is located on the fantastic Scenic Drive and takes only 5 min easy walk from car park. It's one of the most photographed spots in all of Australia. Great view over the Three Sisters, the Blue Mountain's famous landmark. Highly recommended!!!

We went over 2 days taking different trail walks to see the wentworth Falls. We found the first day foggy and could only see glimpses of Falls when heavy rain fell but nevertheless it was amazing to see the Falls in this way in mystical fog. The following day was fine and quite warm and we found probably the best lookout for the Falls which was the Princess rock lookout

I went there on a foggy and wet day and the atmosphere was amazing! In rainy season check for road closures before you go hiking in the blue mountains!

Definitely an area to visit to appreciate the skills of the artists when you visit Katoomba. The town should put more sign posts for tourists to notice and visit. We only decided to look when we drove by.

Beautiful place, hiking was not that hard. But be aware of that stairs and rocks could be quite slippery and muddy. It would be better to take your hiking shoes. But it worths the journey, the falls were amazing! And there were lots of cliffs and rocks that could be good photo spots👍 Also you could possibly see pretty wild birds

Beautiful spot, but it's hard to get to with lots of slippery rocks & steep metal stairs. You can take your dog but be prepared to carry the dog as the stairs are dangerous and steep. It takes half an hour to get down to the falls but longer to go up as the path is narrow and you have to wait for people coming from the opposite direction. It's best to come early.

Best place to sight wide range of mountains. The three sisters are unique rocks with magnificent view of national park from up above. However today was freezing and would recommend warm clothes suitable for 2 to 5 degrees chill in winter.

Usually people visit this place in day time and is a beautiful Place too. Recently I have visited the same in evening to take Milky way photos. Little city light was ok but I have got super photos this time. Easy to reach the place from Katoomba Rail Station or easy drive from the motor way. Walk it also very very beautiful. Plenty of parking.

Not too crowded but amazing views. Parking is available 2 minutes from the venue if you don’t find any spots near the monument. Sometimes crowded (especially during the weekend) but you can still get pictures. My personal recommendation is during sunrise or sunset, for the best colors. I don’t think there is any trail but pretty close from the nearby towns. If you’re making a quick stop, do visit.

Please check the weather before you visit three sisters. It was too foggy to see anything from the main spot at the top. See photos. But you could walk down to the honeymoon bridge and you might witness the beautiful and magical sight of fog clearing from the three sisters. Really amazing views and lots of hikes to choose from.

Beautiful sight and accessible from the Katoomba station via a frequent bus. There are many platforms where you can take photos with the 3 sisters. Path is well-paved on the short 20 min stroll to the 3 sisters. There is a steeper path once this nice stroll ends if you choose to do a longer walk. Great place to bring both young and old, or enjoy a nice hike. No tickets required. There are bathrooms available at the viewing area.

Great place to visit the mountains for a short day trip. Plenty of paid parking near the location and unpaid one is at a little walking distance near the residential areas. Few food outlets nearby, but because of the tourist spot, it's obviously a little more expensive than the normal locations. If you want to save money, bring your own food or eat before reaching this destination. Avoid the school holidays period or the weekends if you prefer fewer people around the area.

It was a nice lookout. I'm from Arizona in the USA and vistas like this are a dime a dozen so I wasn't terribly impressed. The Three Sisters are a moderately interesting rock formation. I learned that the blue haze came from the eucalyptus oil of the forest. I wish it would have been a stronger scent of eucalyptus.

Amazing spot and must see! The blue mountains are just spectacular! The hike are so various and nice prepared. It’s always nice to go there and find something new. There are restrooms, lot of parking spots directly on the spot and supermarkets nearby. Don’t forget to carry enough water, food and maybe mosquito sprays.

Magical place to see, I have visited 2 times to this area and last time it was foggy so the gum trees looked so beautiful. But a pink sunset would be perfect here. Katoomba is the closest town to the Three Sisters and has many shops and cafes, I also know that you can catch the train from Sydney CBD to Katoomba, then walk or catch the bus to the to the mountains from there.

It was the first time I went to NSW. Decided to go to see Three Sisters Walk (Blue Mountains). The time I entered this place, I loved it more and more. So peaceful, beautiful like heaven, and very safe, especially for kids, as it has barriers in place. Coming back soon. The best time to visit is mid-June to mid-July. No tickets needed.

It was my first time to visit. It was very, very magnificent. The weather was clear and it felt like I was in the ancient times of dinosaurs. The air was also very good. You must come to play!

This 1.5km walk us most enjoyable with great views of the Blue Mountains. I went at dusk to view both th sunset and the spotlights on some of the features. There are lights marking the pathway but a small torch would be handy to help navigate the paths.

Oh the view from top is amazing we have decided to walk all the way down and was amazing every stop we did you can spot different view and lots of wild animals like parrots 🦜 etc they have a cable car but you can’t buy one way ticket so when we walked down we had to walk back all the way or you have to pay both way ticket. Also make sure you got planty of water and some snacks as while you start walking there won’t be nothing on the way. The water fountain is on the end of the walk.

Beautiful walk, about 3 hours of treckking from the three sisters lookout to Leura, a small and cute village where you can have lunch or dinner in a pub. The walk was amazing, the first 30minutes are plenty of stairs that, if you start it in the three sisters lookout, are in the way down. After that, you can walk through a nice forest with tall trees and you can feel you are in the bush, in the jungle. After finding some cascades and waterfalls you will need to go upstairs to go to the Leura village, with a first stop at the picnic area. Before that, you have the opportunity of having a swim or, at least, refresh your feet in one of the waterfalls. We ended the day in Alexandra pub, in the village of Leura, which has a train station to go back to Sydney and it is just 2hours away from the city. It was not busy at all during the walk even it was on Friday the 29th of March and it is public holiday, just a few people doing that trip. The train was so bust, though, with a lot of people with big backpacks to spend a few days. The scenic world is not worth it, too expensive for what it is.

Amazing views of the whole blue mountain range including of course the 3 sisters, which just keeps getting better if you hike down to the bottom. Make sure you consider your hiking ability as the stairs are very steep - and after enjoying the hike down you'll have to hike back up again - lol. Make sure to take lots of water and some power bars. Your phone most likely wont work if you hike to the bottom. Highly recommended and will definitely return with friends when traveling in the Sydney region.

Our trip to the Blue Mountains and the Three Sisters walk left us in awe of the natural wonders that Australia has to offer. I think people of all fitness levels could do the walk, there are some parts of it with some steep stair descend, which would be hard on people with arthritic knees.

Very good view, but there are 1000s of people here all pushing to get a pic. There are other viewpoints which are great with NO bus/coach access which give you a better experience.

Just a fantastic short walk. Once you get below the 3 sisters not many tourists. We walked around to the scenic world train and gondola. The only disappointing thing is that the gondola ride up you cannot pay for a 1 way so they wanted $60 per person for the ride. Next time we will bring water and walk up. Great selection of items. Steven Archer is very knowledgeable and friendly. He has set up an operational old-time barber shop on the premises. There is a camera museum also. If you're into photography it is well worth checking out. There is also a Cafe and a Community area. Wonderful place and very welcoming.

I love Katoomba, it’s a great historical town rich with kind hearted people and their own flavour of alternative culture. However, this shop is not the type of representation the town deserves. The hurtful, ignorant misinformation about our government, medicine and vaccines posted outside the shopfront is emotionally fuelled barbarianism. I have been in the shop before and the portly British man is rough as guts. There’s not a lot of redeeming things to be said, but manners don’t cost anything. Especially if people, tourists or otherwise, are willing to enter your shop even after seeing the mutterings of a mad person posted out on the street. It really is such a disappointment in an otherwise idyllic Australian town that most Australians treasure. Also, they’re reselling animal furs, bone, parts etc. for profit. For a tiny collective of people who clearly hate ‘cruelty’, ‘tyranny’ and ‘the establishment’, they seem to be big fans of the illegal animal trade.

Looks like the sheeple that drink the Govco cool aid hate this place. A business sharing correct information instead of government misinformation and lies deserves 5 ⭐️all day long. Well done to the owner for having integrity.

Steve Archer is an incredibly man who has travelled around the globe since the 70s and mastered a wonderful range of antiques & art. I would not say to judge a man for single impression, he is quite a unique character from his insightful buildup of his camera gallery to the breakdown of cultural experiences reflected with his artifacts he accumulated overtime. Not to mention he has contributed during the communities tough times by offering food and survival based sessions to help locals in need. We all need a good bloke like Steve around the corner. If your an individual who finds someone speaking against the modern spectacle unbearable then I do encourage you to reconsider your visit. If you question reality then you might have an unexpected find with Steve's antique shop. There is a range from coins, statues busts , 60s retro media towards items from antiquity, you will find it amusing shop. Thanks Steve I'll return to see your collection for sure.

What a crazy shop!! Visited Katoomba 28th June 2022. There are heaps of Anti vaccination and misinformation plastered throughout this storefront. 🤬 Shame on the owner. Would never go in here and would be sure to spread this to my fellow travellers.

This place is never open, I just walked in and the lady behind the counter says it's not open and has no clue when the shop will be open again. Avoid this place there's plenty of other great antique shops around Katoomba.

One the most attractive lookouts in the Blue Mountains!!! Views are great. Free car park with seats available on spot. 5-10 min easy walk from the car park with plenty of beautiful vegetation covering the surrounding area. Highly recommended!!!

Lovely spot, although would be best to view when there are no tourist buses. Lots of people makes it tricky to get a great scenic shot.

I really enjoyed the lookout. It was so inspiring to see the views and learn all about the fires and history that happened in this area. I love nature and enjoyed every moment here. The weather was awesome and sunny and the trip was great. I did notice Alot of flying insects so spray yourself to prevent getting bitten. I highly recommend this place!!!!!

What a beautiful, relaxing place to unwind and breathe in the fresh air. Amazing views of the sunset and see the reason why it’s calls the blue mountains.

Awesome view over the valley and beyond. Recommended to come down to the viewing platform on sunset. Lensing effect of sun created rays of lights coming from the edge of the cliff and the clouds. It is rumoured that at certain times of the year, the cliff face to the left hand side experience phantom mist like a waterfall as warm air meets cool air. If you come in winter, rug up extra well as the wind is cold enough to cut through you!

I really loved this look out. There’s 3 different view points and the view drops down beneath you. It was quiet when I went so I got some great pictures. No toilets nearby.

Well known sunset lookout point. You can see it from many vantage points, even from your car. So it's not an issue if it's crowded. Aim to get there at least 15 minutes beforehand to avoid missing it. Offers spectacular views at all times of the day. But the best photos are taken at sunset. There are picnic tables and plenty of parking.

Found about this place thanks to Google review! Definitely worth the view. If possible, be there early as there can be quite a crowd. We were there a little earlier and managed to capture nice photos. But photos doesn't do any justice to the place.

Great secluded lookout, a perfect alternative to everywhere else. No toilets, no facilities, small space. Perfect place for a marriage proposal fellas!!

Great view of the Three Sisters. Go in the early morning for the low cloud and fog, or the evening for the golden light on the famous formation. There's no parking. A small dirt alcove just after the lookout on the right (if coming from the direction of Scenic World). There's parking a 5 minute walk further along at the next lookout, but you're walking back along the road, which didn't feel particularly safe.

Get yourself a nice good view and outlook over the whole outland. Beautiful at night

This is a tiny little lookout - parking for maybe 4 cars - and do be careful, visibility when leaving is not great. But it has a HUGE view, and I reckon the 2nd best view of the Three Sisters there is. Best in the afternoon, when the light is on the Sisters. And if you're lucky, you might hear a lyrebird performing - I'm pretty sure we did.

Best views of three sisters and valley from far. Well maintained place with very limited parking around it. Recommendation is to park somewhere near violet street and walk upwards. Only suggestion is to have the seating arrangement not too close to the lookout point.

Came to the Katoomba area to find some snacks to enjoy & drink tea — glad i found this cafe. Me & my husband had such an enjoyable time! We ordered tea to share & 2 portions of scones — they’re big & the cream + jam were generously given! We were so pleased with the taste & also the service. Everyone was lovely. Didn’t get to try the coffee but looking around other people’s coffee & they looked legit. Will definitely come again if i ever in Katoomba again.

Gallery ONE 88 is the best 'culinary' kept secret in Katoomba hands down. As a learning exercise, owners of other so called Cafes / Restaurants in the area should visit and experience a professionally cooked meal surrounded by stunning (and affordable) artworks coupled with great music! A hidden gem. Was surprisingly quiet when we come. Coffee was so good we get extras to take away. B&E roll was great, generous on the bacon and Eggs Benny was a great size if you’re not a big eater. Prices very reasonable.

Love this space - three floors of art. Brilliant selection and supportive gallery. Supports the arts and it's artist with upto 90% of sales fee going back to the artist... that's great

This has to be the most cheerful and welcoming gallery cafe I have ever been to. I only ordered a Chai latte and sat on the street to have my bakery pastry with it but I was treated warmly without any airs or snobbery. I will be returning. BTW FYI there is a wide range of local art on offer too. Some really lovely tempting pieces.

The gallery was amazing art of all descriptions. Paintings but some beautiful wood art. The layout was perfect. More upstairs. The cafe beautiful and clean. All meals were great. Toilets upstairs. Cosy friendly.

Pigeon Lane Cafe has great service with a smile. The coffee was delivered promptly and has a suitably flavoursome taste. We sat in comfort and surrounded by a beautiful array of landscape paintings. I enjoyed the music a little bit of chilled out John Butler Trio doesn't go astray. Thankyou. We will be back.

This magnificent gallery does not only offer eye candy from the finest art works on display in the Blue Mountains but they make the best coffee in K-Town. A great place to chill, relax, and enjoy a day of visual entertainment unmatched or equaled this side of the great divide.

Lovely little cafe connected to an art gallery. Coffee was great. Food was lovely and decent portion sizes. I had the superfood salad which was delicious. The soup was warm and filling. The service was attentive.

Best cup of tea and cake in the mountains! Really friendly staff and surrounded by great art.
